Sometimes I think of Chicken Little from the movie Chicken Little and cry bc he's just a kid and he's all alone and his dad is ashamed of him and he lost his mother and he gets bullied and harassed bc he's small and kind of strange and he's the only person in the world that knows that the sky is falling and when he tries to tell people they don't believe him

hiii icha!!! a very quick ask tonight (my time) lol. I’ve emerged from the cave of exams only to have… well I still have more exams. but I did take some time to chill and go thru the blazing beachside passion event! i was soooo hype when I realized it was gonna be muku juza centric like FUCK YEAH!!! we did not get nearly enough of that in the main autumn troupe story and like I get why but I’m rly glad they’re delivering here. side note I was rly glad masumi was not a part of this event lol bc it meant that the beach episode was like. normal. ummm but let’s see. I flinched at the shirtless sprites bc I was like guys. that’s hot oil. ur gonna get burned. think it may be bc today I like made enough stir fry to feed 10 people dinner lol. overall I thought this event was real sweet tho! muku as a prince and juza as his knight was a very good pairing—feel like muku specifically would appreciate that kinda setting, yknow? as always tho I have so many Feelings abt juza and this event just made me have more Feelings… he is so <3 like something abt juza makes me want to pat his head I think. like even the way when he’s like not opening up abt why he’s uncomfy with muku and tasuku is like “you trying to start a fight with us with that glare?” I was like jumping out of my seat yelling like “tasuku!!! that’s juza’s UPSET face!!!!” I feel like that’s a really common problem with juza through like so often he is feeling like. Sad or Shy or something like it and ppl interpret it as him being scary which is like. man I get why he’s so reluctant to open up yknow? and I wonder if that’s specifically why juza might gravitate to acting, out of all things—if he’s scary and intense without meaning to… well, acting is all abt projecting certain feelings emotions ideas forth right? it’s all an art of making the audience perceive u in the right way. which is something that I think juza doesn’t quite feel in his day to day life so I like to think acting helps him in that regard… hm. honestly I think I have more Thoughts About Juza than thoughts abt this event in specific lol? tasuku being so blunt with him made me smile tho, it feels like very in character that after being literally forced into a time loop so that the only way out was to reconcile with tsumugi he’d be kinda blunt abt conflict resolution right? speaking of juza I really love his casual sprite like so much bc the posing is just very. it gives this sense of cool aloofness but when u look at it u can also interpret it as him being shy and reserved and I think it like communicates that duality well? hm yeah. muku and juza were cute tho. i think it’s interesting how they both feel the other is like “too cool” for them so they feel inadequate when the communicate with each other… it’s rly interesting bc like it’s not really one person’s fault there i think? anddd closing notes I thought the mention of kyuchan/ku was nice—clearly the story’s prepping for kumon in act 2, AND like I feel with the “citronia” at the end of clockwork heart runaway royalty citron is pretty much confirmed but I’m still so happy that my small theory from Alex in wonderland is shaping up to be correct with like the “for muku’s sake, I had to play the role of a king! it was so unpleasant.” like yesssss. yesss that’s what I want! i also wish since kazunari’s nickname for tasuku is localized as “tax” they could make a joke abt him being a taxi. since he does get roped into this beach trip bc he has a car and can drive lmao. also citron saying smthing was a catwalk and being corrected to cakewalk genuinely shook me bc I thought catwalk was correct… that’s all!
HELLO FRIEND!!! it's so good to see you again
First of all, good luck through your exams, i hope you can manage through it and have a good time still :( and i especially hope you manage to find some time to rest. I am cheering for you so hard o7
Second, you have a TIMING, i was litterally talking about this event to a friend just yesterday evening. I woke up to your ask and i was puzzled for one minute like "wait WHO did i talk about this event TO yesterday" it's incredible.
BUT YEAH FUCK YEAH BLAZING BEACHSIDE PASSION! With how much you love Juza this one must have been a little pearl.
putting under cut bc it's getting long enough as it is DLKJFDLKJF
"I flinched at the shirtless sprites bc I was like guys. that’s hot oil. ur gonna get burned." fun fact, it actually happens in SR!Omi's backstage ( [Omi's House is Now Open!] - "Incident at Omi's House" if you're reading on the Archive). He gets burnt because of the oil and Izumi has to take care of him while he keeps brushing his own pain off, it's very Omi like. (speaking of backstage if you have time/energy for it, Citron's R for this event, [A Chilling Watermelon Split] - "Thrilling Watermelon Split" , is a SIGHT. I love when Citron gets murdery.)
So really you're right and they should all know better, especially you Omi, but i guess the fact it's Omi "i don't take care of myself" Fushimi monitoring the whole group may have added some issues on the careless department.
Anyway the event was great and i agree with you so much! honestly, the play made me cRY. I think it's peak Tasuku to basically talk about processing your emotions via acting and yknow what, it's helping Juza plenty, so good for him, and the play itself was just so soft. The setting of Muku as prince and Juza as the knight was so good and represent them both so well.
AND YEAH HELP, so, when i first read this event i didn't care much for Tasuku so during that scene i was just "wtf is your problem dude", but now that i Understand:tm: him i'm just, oh yeah the guy is just super blunt because he gotta expose what the main misunderstanding is and hope the person in front of him is going to at least do something to clear it if he is to help through it. Learning from Winter! in a way. But me gushing about Tasuku aside (me?? about /winter/???? This is so out of character), i agree that still it's just that It's How Juza is TwT like, Tasuku has no reason to know that he doesn't specifically hang out with him, but like. That's the issue poor Juza's facial expression get misinterpreted all the time!! Tho i think it's really a feat that we, as the audience, can now interpret Juza so well in comparaison. He's just trying so hard TwT
"and I wonder if that’s specifically why juza might gravitate to acting, out of all things—if he’s scary and intense without meaning to… well, acting is all abt projecting certain feelings emotions ideas forth right? it’s all an art of making the audience perceive u in the right way. which is something that I think juza doesn’t quite feel in his day to day life so I like to think acting helps him in that regard…" yes yes yes completely yes, it's about Juza reclaiming how people perceive him, while also learning how to make himself clearer, and, like, i don't think he expected it but it also means people are more used to his actual bodylanguage from working with him which means that it's not just about how he can work through it but how other people are doing the effort to understand him too. It's really so good.
The Tasuku's mention lmao yes this is exactly it. Man has been caught into One (1) Timeloop and just decided to not let building resentment happen again god bless this mass of muscles.
Also agreed on Juza's sprite i really love the dynamic of this one and you're really right about the duality.
and yeah i'm all with you, i really like the Muku and Juza dynamic and the way they both inspire each other and also intimidate each other? Honestly i can't blame Muku for the way he misinterpreted Juza because i feel like his Rejection reaction is just off the charts and he himself has a hard time really figuring out Juza's bodylanguage since he basically go back to thinking he's at fault there (and tbh i feel like, the fact as cousins it's likely Muku always saw Juza with Kumon there was a contrast in personality that made Muku think it was a Him Problem rather than a Juza problem), and i can't blame Juza for struggling to explain himself especially with how people just generally interpret him. But i'm just so happy they both managed to discuss it finally and that they're able to see how much they misunderstood and how much they care for each other.
Also YEAH the Kumon's build was honestly so soft. I genuinely love how the rookies are built up in act 1, i remember getting so excited when this event first came out.
FOR CITRON YES YES YES, god I LOVE Citron in this event. Like i talked about Tasuku because of course but i genuinely think Citron is doing so much like. Like!!! Citron is always going the extra mile for Muku in general, you feel that he's extremely protective of him and that he'd be willing to do anything for this kid. The fact he got really upset at being casted as a King in Alex in Wonderland, yet now is most likely the one who prompted the scenario because he knows how much being a Prince matter to Muku and you know what. If Muku wants royalty, Citron is going to give him the best one he can give him, no matter his own feelings about it. It's genuinely sweet. idk there's just something about the way Citron doesn't even complain and probably just prompt it because he is so invested in making the situation better that just makes me soft. (Citron/Tasuku being driving force about solving a misunderstanding situation tho. muah.) But yeah of course i won't say much about Citron's arc but :3c i do love how the build up is consistant there and honestly it makes it very rewarding when you catch on to it early, which you did which is great :3c
YOU'rE SO RIGHT ABOUT THE TAX NICKNAME… between being the taxi for everyone AND the fact he's constantly carrying Hisoka around, Tasuku should embrace the nickname. "Yo "Taxi" isn't writen on my forhead" while he's carrying Hisoka on his back would be a hilarious situation for everyone else to go "well. actually." and him realizing he's doomed either way.
OH YEAH OMG THE CATWALK TOO i also thought it was catwalk, weirdly enough? like, in French went we say something was easy we do say stuff like "it was a piece of cake" so i understood the idea of cakewalk in a way, but i didn't really see where the walk came from dLFKJDF meanwhile the idea of Citron managing his way through a catwalk in an "easy" way felt so Citron that i didn't question it. Like, yeah of course being on a catwalk is a piece of cake for Citron, have you SEEN Him?? the guy looks like he belongs anywhere that could put his beauty forward. But now that i think about it for normal people Catwalk probably come with more stress than Citron probably implied. Still, cakewalk…
I remember really loving this event, i loved the Muku and Juza arc and i loved the Citron bits, and upon reread i really loved the Tasuku ones too. He acts so grumpy the whole time like he didn't want to be dragged into it but he still gives his everything for everyone around him and that's genuinely soft. I also remember getting soft that he keeps track of the silly things Citron says (there's a scene just before they leave Mankai where Citron is being overdramatic, and Tasuku rolls his eyes, but then Citron refers to it again later by saying something completely different and Tasuku is just "didn't you say it was /that/ instead". King of "i'm dealing with Arisugawa everyday, i will keep of your silliness against my will i'm programmed to do that now".)
In the end i don't have much to say about Omi and Kazu despite loving the fact Omi is probably the one Juza has more reasons to be comfortable around so he can open up more easily (and that i do love that it follows up on the two of them becoming biker buddies like man. Omi i hope you live it well.), and Kazu is mostly here for the hype squad and driving Tasuku more crazy in the car with Citron and Muku but we love that about him.
This event was really good and the feelies were incredible.
Thank you once again for being back at it on my inbox <3 it's always a pleasure to see your rambles and impression on stuff, i love the things you catch and focus on! And i love thinking back about my sweet sons, they're all so great.
A pleasure to see you, and good luck with your exams still :3c
Take care!

Random blurb (utc, cw: gore, body horror, vomiting, s/h but not in a conventional sense, burn out, flowers/hanahaki)
Hanahaki is a troupe that is often overused, but you cannot bring fault to someone that does. In a world where flowers grow everywhere and not on where they're supposed to be, you'd often find yourself wondering when it'll grow on your body like a parasite.
You've heard the curse of the flowers— some piercing through your skin from the inside when jealousy stems in, while others were to wrap you from outside and get through the inside. They sometimes crave the taste of flesh, while others were to cling you until you died.
As for you, an omnipotent being, death was not an option. So what the flowers do is cling to you, their perfect and immortal body. No matter how much you hide it, you can't hide the nights where you'd start vomiting from the harm you receive.
And it only seems to grow worse when you began to lose touch into the people you used to be with.
Watching your loved ones get together with those they're supposed to be with, their smiles wide and their hands interlocked with matching accessories, you swallowed any traitorous flowers that threaten to choke you inside out. You kept your mouth shut every time they spoke to you to 'come along', subjected to the spectacle of their love together.
You knew too well that this was because of your negligence. You pushed them away, so they found solace in each other. Sure, it's unconventional, and they may still love you, but your mind thinks that they are perfect for each other.
Just the two of them against the world. A miracle, for you truly never had someone do that.
Each time you'd spend with them, those flowers threaten to wrap their stems around you, their thorns digging into you as you spent nights vomiting blood and rotting petals. You swore that the amount you have would've constitute to a dead body, but your immortality becomes your curse.
What's worse is that you are burnt out.
Burnt out from working, from keeping the happy couple safe, from even helping your body stay stable as they get to smile and see each other like they're the only ones alive.
Each night, you swore the flowers were simply choking you, hurting you willingly and tied to your impure and horrible thoughts. And each night, you find yourself slowly unable to take care of what you need.
Like tonight.
The amount of bloodied petals and flowers laid across your room, the sight of blood splattered everywhere was no different. You could hardly move as you heard your phone vibrate, mayhaps a text from the happy to be wed couple.
All you can do is close your eyes.
You wish you were mortal.
By then, maybe your death would've come the moment that they were together from the start.

Characters: Manjiro ‘Mikey’ Sano, Ken ‘Draken’ Ryuguji, Rindou haitani, Ran haitani, yasuhiro ‘mucho’ Muto, shinichiro sano, Takashi Mitsuya,
Tumblr media
𝙈𝙞𝙠𝙚𝙮/𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙁𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙨/𝙛𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨
You’ve known Mikey ever since you stepped foot onto his grandfather Dojo. You two have been inseparable since. Having each other’s back and trusting each other more than others. Sooner or later their feeling of wanting to be Mikey's friend for life turned into something more. No matter how hard you try to ignore it, it will always come back to you like a damn train. you’re lucky he feels the same way. But you don’t know that yet
𝙆𝙚𝙣 '𝘿𝙧𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙣' 𝙍𝙮𝙪𝙜𝙪𝙟𝙞 / 𝘽𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙛𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙨 𝙨𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧
Ken fell in love with his best friend's younger twin sister. It ain’t Mikey but it’s Takashi Mitsuya's twin to say the least. He of course meets you through him. You two hit it off, although it took a while seeing as you found him a little intimidating at first. Takashi kept an eye on you two from afar. He warned Draken about falling in love with you. He didn’t want to see his precious little sister, although Takashi is only three minutes, get hurt by him or anything gang related. Draken reassured him it won’t happen. Ever.
𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙤𝙪 𝙝𝙖𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙞 /𝙤𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩
Rindou’s not a nice guy. He’s far from it. He breaks people limbs for a living and find pleasure of their bones breaking and their blood curdling screams as they beg for him to stop. And there’s you. Who hates getting into conflict by using violence. You help people, Rindou doesn’t. He fell head over heels for your kindness, very out of character for him but he can’t help it. You’re so gentle with his bruised and bloody hands as your wrapped them up in bandages. You watched him break someone’s arm and beat the living shit out of a couple more people. You aren’t scared of him? Course you’re not. You’re scolding him to be more careful next time.
𝙍𝙖𝙣 𝙝𝙖𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙞/𝙀𝙣𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨
You hate Ran with a passion and Ran hates you too. You two hated each other from a young age. Starting with him cutting your pig-tales and you pushing him off the swings as revenge. Funny story really. You’ve been at each other’s throats since then. Everyone’s tired of you two fighting all the damn time that they even joke about you being a perfect match for each other. Until his brother got into a bad accident resulting in being sent to the hospital. First person he thought was you for some reason. Spilled all his feelings to you, which was concerning. Maybe he was at a breaking point. Yet, you worried about the man you were supposed to hate the most in your life. Maybe there’s more to Ran haitani, then fights and blood.
𝙔𝙖𝙨𝙪𝙝𝙞𝙧𝙤 '𝙈𝙪𝙘𝙝𝙤'̀ 𝙈𝙪𝙩𝙤/𝙁𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥?/
Yasuhiro is not a committed person and he would like to keep it that way. That’s what you thought. Although it’s mostly your friends' fault for putting you in a position like this. Technically it’s also your fault for putting Yasuhiro in this position. They wanted to set you up on a date with a boy you knew but didn’t pay attention to much. You blurted out that you already had a boyfriend and when your friends asked who it was, Yasuhiro's name was the first person to come to mind. That’s how you ended up on a double date. Faking the whole thing. Well that’s what you thought.
𝙎𝙤𝙪𝙮𝙖 '𝘼𝙣𝙜𝙧𝙮' 𝙆𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙩𝙖 /𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙖𝙩 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙨𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩
One glance was all it took for Souya to fall in love with. Just one. Walking into his and his brothers small restaurant you were the first person he noticed amping the group of people. He was to nervous to go up and serve your table making his older brother do. Trying to ignore the sounds of your own laughter that bounced of the walls. You complemented his Food as you basically ate it in one swallow. Don’t think he’s seen anyone in love with his own dish other then you.
𝙎𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙧𝙤 𝙨𝙖𝙣𝙤 / 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙗𝙞𝙙𝙙𝙚𝙣 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚
You parents hate him with passion because “he’s a low life delinquent. He’ll just break your heart when he’s done with you and move one to a whore out on the streets' ' yeah as if they haven’t seen his love life before. They forbid you from seeing him. Little do they know that you're sneaking out every night and riding the streets with him on his motorcycle. Telling your parents you’re gonna be gone all day and studying in the library when you’re really going to meet up shinichiro for a date. He treats you like every woman who should be treated in a relationship but your parents sadly don’t see that. So you have to go behind their backs so you can see the love of your life. Despite feeling bad for doing so. But you gotta do what you gotta do for love right?
𝙈𝙞𝙩𝙨𝙪𝙮𝙖 𝙩𝙖𝙠𝙖𝙨𝙝𝙞 /𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙧/ 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙖𝙩 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙨𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩
Yuzuha set you both up on a date. Reason because Takashi spends too much time in a Cramped up office working all day and you’re busy doing god knows what with your life. She fears you two might die alone. You fell in love when he first entered the small cafe, and Takashi wouldn’t lie when he says he fell in love too. You two hit it off quickly, having the same interest in the same things and seeing as you two are both passionate about the things you do for a living. Yuzuha fist bump the air when she found out you two agreed on a second date

I saw you rb a SaiSaku post and was curious if you had any fanfic recs for this rarepair?!
Do I have?!!!!! I am currently binging this ship so you couldn't have asked this at better time.
.
This pair is not a crack ship! Crack would mean they have not shared more than two words with each other. But SaiSaku interactions always bordered on romance and best friends who don't act like it. Not only Sakura was the first person to acknowledge Sai had human side to him and bonded with him over his painting, Sai was also the only person outside Sasuke (in part 1) to be able tell her fake smiles and he always understood her feelings better than other characters. Had Sakura ever only cared for good looks (something she don't) then with Sai she'd get that and so much more.
I have always considered SaiSaku as the next best thing after NaruSaku. They had too much potential as a couple. I am not bitter that InoSai became a thing but looking at them I only feel that "Ino didn't get Sasuke so she get his look-alike." Besides, Sai gave people nicknames that are opposites to what actually feels about them – Naruto as Dickless, Sakura as Hag/Ugly and Ino as Beautiful – which makes it worse. Both Ino and Sai deserve better than this. If Kishi has shown them together more often or had interactions between them similar to SaiSaku then I can understand why Ino is his light. I guess it is also SP's fault for showing them in different light. For all SP hates Sakura, they enjoy messing up with her fans by feeding them false hope.
Whenever I want to read something hilarious but deep, SaiSaku is my to-go couple. Usually angsty, or full bout of insults and punches. There's no in between with them.
. SaiSaku .
Tumblr media
This list contains my favorite SaiSaku collection. I am not sure if you like SaiSaku only as romance ship but this list also contain stories that expands on SaiSaku friendship, something I absolutely adore.
.

Sai glanced downwards at his body, the sudden override of his thoughts causing his mind to blank. What did that mean? Had he been straying too close to a piece of information Danzo didn't want him to have or share? Go for it if you like: enemies-to-friends-to-lovers troupe, SaiSaku friendship, confused-over-his-feelings!Sai, slow burn, GaaSaku, boys who are bad at feelings, Sakura who is unlucky with romance, angst with fluff

When she was younger, Y/N joined Azula’s little troupe of girls. Though she wasn’t some loyal little soldier for her to order around, no, Y/N never feared Azula. Nor did she follow her blindly. No, it had always been a struggle for power between the two. Even when her father was booted from the throne as the rightful heir.
Losing her brother made her wonder if giving up like her father had in Ba Sing Se was the easy way out. Perhaps thats why she promised herself she would never give up. Maybe thats why she challenged Azula to... an unofficial duel when she’d heard her comment. Challenged her and won.
The new Fire Lord’s pride and joy had lost against his niece, a shame.
Y/N hadn’t thought much of it, but it probably would’ve explained why Fire Lord Ozai was rather pleased when Y/N had came to him and explained her intents to go alongside her father and cousin in banishment. She was, no matter how unlikely, another potential heir to the throne. And unlike Zuko, an actual threat. Sending her on a journey to find someone who’d been missing for a century was the best way to get rid of her.
If Y/N was honest, she viewed the banishment as more of a vacation. All her life, she had to deal with banquets, politics, war tactics, all at such a young age. It was tiring, and dull, spending day and night in the palace doing such things. Now, she had the opportunity to travel the world, though her grumpy cousin was rushing them throughout each spot, it was still nice. Zuko certainly didn’t think so, given that they hadn’t found the Avatar yet, not that Y/N believed they ever would but, it is what it is.
A sigh escaped her as she sat, on leg propped up against the other on the deck of the ship, they had arrived in the Southern Water Tribe after seeing an odd light in the distance. Maybe it was cruel, but Y/N sincerely hoped they didn’t find the Avatar. She didn’t want her vacation to end, she didn’t want to return to the politics, and she didn’t want to deal with one of the most powerful people on the planet. Aside from her own desires, Y/N couldn’t help but disapprove of Zuko’s need to please his father, the man who’d hurt him beyond forgiveness.
She sincerely doubted her father approved either. Though their relationship had been strained for some time now. Y/N didn’t hate her father, she doubted that was possible, he was a kind man and a good father. Things between them simply felt... off. She liked to think she’d gotten over it, the initial jealously she felt when she discovered her father intended to join Zuko on his hunt for the Avatar.
When she’d found out from Fire Lord Ozai.
Sometimes she wondered if her father even intended to say goodbye. But she wasn’t a fool, Y/N knew he had recently lost a son, they were both hurting and Zuko needed someone who wasn’t going to hurt him if he did something wrong. Though, Y/N saw him try to save the lives of the soldiers of the so-called great Fire Nation, not do something wrong. Regardless, Zuko needed a father figure, yes. But Y/N needed a father as she grappled with the death of her brother.
Maybe she was just a little bitter about it.
“Are you coming?” Zuko asked, his words coming out harshly.
Raising a brow, Y/N shook her head, “no. Don’t get too violent, though.” She warned, looking at him pointedly, “they’re a small tribe that’s going extinct.”
Zuko rolled his eyes as he exclaimed, “that’s not my fault!”
Sitting up to face him, Y/N smacked him upside the head as she walked past him, “considering the royal family, which you are a part of need I remind you, ordered the genocide of every single Waterbender they had...” She paused, cracking her knuckles before turning to look back at Zuko, “I would say you that everyone here probably blames you for it by assosiation.” Y/N reasoned. She had never liked the history that her ancestors had, much less approved.
Taken aback, Zuko exclaimed, “you’re a part of the royal family too!”  Y/N was well aware of the circumstances surrounding his banishment, he’d tried to save lives, but war was the only thing that mattered to the Fire Nation it appeared.
His attempt at defense simply earned him a shrug, “perhaps.” Y/N didn’t consider herself a member of the royal family, and she doubted her father did either. And no matter what Zuko thought, though he was royal by blood, his banishment severed his ties to the throne permanently.
Unless they happened to find the Avatar, though that wasn’t very likely, Y/N decided she would rethinking her life choices should the Avatar be here of all places, as she rested her forearms on the side of the ship and watched Zuko march down his soldiers.
She wasn’t going to tell him that the Southern Water Tribe didn’t have a military, much less benders. As previously mentioned, the genocide destroyed the benders, and the most of the soldiers in the village had headed off to fight in the war against the Fire Nation. Though her brow did raise as she watched him yank an old lady from the small crowd of people, Y/N straightened her back, preparing to get involved.
Of course, a young warrior ended up running at her cousin, war paint and all as he attempted to attack. Key word being attempted. Watching him fall face first into the snow, Y/N realized he wasn’t a warrior, but a boy. The Avatar also happened to be a boy. A very, very young boy. Not a century year old Airbender.
Y/N supposed it was time to start rethinking her life.
Tumblr media
Sokka didn’t know what he was supposed to do as he helped Princess Yue onto the Sky Bison. They needed to find Aang’s physical body, quickly, otherwise he wouldn’t be returning to the real world, and they happened to be fresh out of Avatars up until recently so that wasn’t really an option. Not when they needed the balance of the world to be restored immediately.
Sighing, Sokka moved to get onto the Sky Bison, only to be yanked backwards, stumbling before having a knife pressed to his neck. “What the hell!” He exclaimed in shock, garnering the attention of the others that were already on Appa. Katara’s mouth gaping open at the sight of him as Princess Yue cried out in shock.
The knife against his neck is certainly uncomfortable, and he realizes that he probably should’ve stuck around Kyoshi Island long enough to learn how to get out a situation like this. “I’m coming with you. Someone has to make sure Zuko doesn’t do anything else dumb.” Comes a voice from behind him, and Sokka’s brows furrowed in confusion, who was this? And why were they trying to kill him? More importantly, how did they know Prince Zuko, the guy who had been chasing them since Aang had come out of that iceberg. Questions ran rampant through his mind, and he nearly forgot that his life was being threatened.
That was a luxury he couldn’t afford at the moment.
Though he couldn’t see the person behind him, he could see Katara grimace at her demand, anyone associated with Prince Zuko likely had a similar end goal, to capture the Avatar. This wasn’t something they could allow, and Sokka recognized this as Katara asked, “why should we trust you?” Katara’s eyes soon met Sokka’s and he knew that no matter what he said, she would give into the girl’s demands for his safety. Sokka mentally scolded himself for failing to prevent this situation.
The girl behind him scoffed, “unlike my dear cousin,” Sokka couldn’t help the shock that flooded him, cousin? As in Zuko is this girl’s cousin? Or did she mean someone else? He was kidding himself, there was no one else it could be. “I like banishment, it’s like a fun little vacation. I could care less about the Avatar.” The knife draws in closer to Sokka’s neck, nearly drawing blood, likely expressing the fact that she could care less if Katara believed her. Though Sokka doubted she didn’t care about the Avatar, he was one of the most important people in the world.
But Sokka would likely die if she didn’t agree, or at least end up fatally injured. No matter how far Katara had come with her Waterbending, she hadn’t perfected it yet, and healing was only so effective. Sokka sincerely doubted she could beat the speed of this girl and her weapon considering the fact that she’d gotten the jump on them the first time around. Death wasn’t something he wanted, but anyone who knew Zuko couldn’t be trusted, much less someone who shared his blood. If he turned out... like that, Sokka didn’t want to imagine how this stranger ended up.
“Don’t try anything.” Katara warned, eyeing the girl wearily. Though it was an empty threat for the most part, in the air, there was little Katara could do against a foe. Though three, well two if you exclude the princess, against one seemed like favorable odds, this girl seemed talented in combat, even without bending.
She released Sokka, and he turned to see her beaming up at Katara, “happy to be doing business with ya.” Turning to Sokka, she looked him up and down, sizing him up before speaking, “be a gentleman and help me up?” Yeah, she was crazy. The pretty ones are always crazy. That, and she was Zuko’s cousin, it made sense. Though Sokka was fairly sure that she was joking, you could never be too sure.
“Who even are you?!” He exclaimed, exasperated and preparing to whip out his boomerang as he glared at her. He didn’t recognize her, but she’d likely been traveling with Zuko for quite some time now if they were related.
She just shrugged, “you can call me Y/N.” She got onto Appa with ease, Katara on guard a she eyed her, eyes piercing into her soul, Y/N raised a brow upon noticing this, “calm down. I wouldn’t have killed him.”
Katara inhaled deeply, trying to maintain patience as Sokka got into the saddle, “yip, yip.”
Tumblr media
Y/N wasn’t really shocked when it turned out Azula was after them. Of course good old Uncle Ozai sent his most valuable asset to bring them back. Though some good at come of it, Zuko cut his ponytail, something Y/N had taken pleasure in bullying him over. Now they were on the run, in the very city that her father had tried to run to the ground all those years ago.
Irony at its finest.
Tugging at the sleeves of her Earth Kingdom garments, Y/N sighed, walking through the streets of the city. She didn’t know where she was if she was honest, and standing in the beautiful plaza, Y/N wondered if maybe, it would be better if she never returned back to that horrid apartment. Her father was starting over, getting them all jobs at a tea shop, even Zuko had tried to move on, going out on a date with a girl.
The Earth Kingdom was an odd place, but here, no one knew who she was. It wouldn’t be difficult to restart, alone. Without the expectations she’d been raised with. Fists balling up, Y/N exhaled slowly, turning a corner. There wasn’t graffiti in this part of the city, she realized, staring at the walls. Though there was an odd poster, squinting at it, she moved closer. It was a poorly drawn image of-
A Sky Bison. The same one she’d ridden on back during the Siege of the North, not that any others existed, the Sky Bison were a dying breed. Which could only mean one thing, the Avatar was in Ba Sing Se.
"Have you seen him?” She heard from behind her. Y/N recognized the voice, it belonged to the boy she’d held at knife point, “the drawing isn’t my best but-”
Turning around she spoke rapidly, “don’t freak out.” This was a problem.
Y/N liked to think she was the least threatening of the Royal Family, aside from her father that is. Though they could both be lethal in their own ways, neither demonstrated the true extents of their power unless it was truly necessary. Maybe that’s why Y/N hoped that the boy, Sokka, she believed his name was, wouldn’t freak out.
Of course, he did. Dropping the posters in his hand, he opened his mouth, likely to scream, only for Y/N to practically tackle him. She slammed his body against the wall, covering his mouth with her hand as she glared at him. Sokka let out a grunt of surprise, immediately beginning to struggle in her hold, “calm down! I don’t have a knife this time around.” Y/N cried out, her voice a hushed whisper. Of course, what she said was a lie, she always had at least three weapons on her. Upon entering the city, she’d knocked that number down to only two weapons, much to her dismay and Iroh’s relief.
She felt him lick her hand, and she quickly removed her hand in disgust, while keeping the other planted on his shoulder, they both exclaimed, “what the hell!”
Sokka’s eyes narrowed at her, “look. I don’t wanna cause a scene, so I’m just gonna go-” He sighed when her hand remained on his shoulder, firmly holding him against the wall as he tried to move away only to be pushed back into the wall. “Or not.”
“Look, you cannot go back to your little group and tell them that I’m here.” Y/N tried to choose her words carefully, if she didn’t need to, she didn’t want to suggest that her father and Zuko were also in the city. “I’m trying to have a permanent vacation, away from the Fire Nation and my crazy family, in Ba Sing Se.” She explained, slowly removing her hand from his shoulder, “think you can respect that?”
He looked at her wearily, during their last interaction, she’d made no attempts to actually injure them. And when she had the Avatar right in front of her, unlike Zuko, she hadn’t tried to kidnap him. Y/N had been honest last time, and chances were, she was being honest now. That didn’t make him feel any better about trusting her though.
“How do I know you won’t follow me and kill me in my sleep?”
Y/N looked at him incredulously, “is that a joke?” She’d considered that too though, the possibility that he’d follow her back to her shared apartment and alert his friends of their location. Y/N refused to be the reason that they lost their new lives in Ba Sing Se, and had already decided to check into an inn for the night.
Raising a brow at her, Sokka gestured for her to give him an answer, and Y/N stared at him momentarily, “well. How do I know you won’t kill me in my sleep?” Y/N retorted.
Sokka rolled his eyes at her, “I’m a good person.” Came his response.
“Debatable.”
Sokka stared at her in disbelief, “I’m trying to save the world here!” He exclaimed, and Y/N wasn’t shocked by his response, her goal had been to fluster him and she had.
Tilting her head at him, Y/N replied, “sure.” Stretching her arms upwards, she waves to him, “don’t tell your friends I was here, and we’re good.” She began to walk further into the alley, towards the other side, “see you around.” If he was here, his friends were probably around the area as well, meaning she had to leave.
His mouth gaped open and he stared at her figure as she stalked off, pausing momentarily before groaning and running after her, ending up at her side. “What do you mean, sure?” Sokka asked, confusion laced in his tone.
Y/N raised a brow at him. “What are you doing?”  She wanted to laugh at his reaction, though he was now following her liked a lovesick puppy, which could prove problematic.
Crossing his arms he responded, “making sure you don’t do anything bad.” Sokka eyed her suspiciously, “because I am a good person.” He asserted.
“And I’m a bad person?”
She already knew he was going to say, ‘yes, yes you are.’ After all, she was from the Fire Nation, and Y/N had no doubt she’d done terrible things in her life, especially when she’d fallen into a dark place and taken on... less than favorable coping mechanisms.
And he’s silent for a moment, leaving Y/N to wonder if he suddenly cares about the feelings of the enemy. Only for him to say, “in my experience... good people can do bad things.”
That wasn’t what she expected. Y/N found herself stunned, speechless as she looked to Sokka, though he simply continued to walk alongside her nonchalantly. Quickly collecting herself, she looks away from him and to the nearby food stand, “that didn’t answer my question.” And as Sokka opened his mouth to likely continue his statement, Y/N realized she didn’t want to know the answer as she spoke, “you want food? I want food. Let’s get food.”
Sighing, Sokka followed her, “as long as you don’t poison me.”
Y/N’s brows furrowed at his comment, looking back at him, “do you-” A small laugh escaped her, “do you think I just carry around poison?”
Sokka didn’t know why he swelled with pride when he made her laugh, “in case you run into your enemies, absolutely.” It was probably because she was the enemy, and it took real talent to make someone who hated you laugh.
“How often do you think I run into my enemies and invite them to get food with me?” She asked, picking up a few things from the stand, before heading over to pay.
Frowning, Sokka watches her pay, “I thought we were bonding over,” he paused to take a meat bun from her and shove it into her face dramatically, “meat! Yet, I’m still your enemy.”
Y/N simply shrugged, “this is a one time thing.”
Tumblr media
It was not a one time thing.
Sokka found himself ‘coincidentally’ running into Y/N, more and more often. She’d be walking through the streets of the upper ring about once a week, though she had started walking through the streets of the inner ring of Ba Sing Se far more frequently than normal in recent weeks. He’d been meaning to ask her why, maybe she’d also grown accustomed to their meetings and started to come around more. During their meetups they’d talk, about things other than the war, which was a conversation difficult to come by with the others. Though he cared for his friends, talking to Y/N felt different, a good different. She wasn’t overbearing like Katara, or mean like Toph, but she also wasn’t as passive as Aang.
It was odd. Knowing someone who had once held a knife to your neck in a more friendly way. Though, if Sokka was honest, he didn’t trust her, and she likely didn’t trust him either. They’d both taken precautions due to the mistrust between them, not that be blamed her. At the end of the day, they were still on opposing sides, kind of. Y/N had never seemed to care about finding the Avatar, but she was certainly loyal to her family above all else.
She’d demonstrated that in the Northern Water Tribe.
Sokka was the same, if he had saw an inkling of betrayal as a possibility, he wouldn’t hesitate to tell the others. Their safety was his priority at the end of the day, and Y/N didn’t owe him anything, just like he didn’t owe her anything. Maybe that was the beauty of it all. But for now, everything remained peaceful, calming, and simple.
Of course, all good things must come to an end.
Katara had oddly disappeared after Aang arrived with news of his vision. And then, as though things couldn’t get any weirder, Iroh arrived, Y/N’s apparent Father Iroh. Toph seemed to know him well, which certainly came as a shock to Sokka and Aang. “I need your help, Prince Zuko has been captured.” He explained, opening his mouth to continue only for Sokka to interrupt. He couldn’t help it when his brows furrowed in both confusion and frustration, Y/N had never suggested that the rest of her family was here.
“Are you crazy? You guys were trying to capture Aang not to long ago!” Sokka pointed out, throwing his arms outwards, “why not get Y/N to help?” She was certainly capable of raiding the palace and retrieving her cousin.
At this comment, Iroh’s face darkened, “we were separated in the palace. I’m unsure if they managed to capture her or if she escaped.” Oh. So that’s what he was going to say.
Sokka couldn’t help it when his face dropped, looking to Iroh he exclaimed, “well- why didn’t you lead with that!” Pushing past Aang who had been prepared to start giving a speech on why they should assist Iroh, only for his mouth to gape open as Sokka headed for the door.
“Why are you so eager?” Toph asked as they began to follow him out the door.
He faltered, quickly trying to think up a good excuse as he replied, “no reason.”
Toph’s frowned, “I can tell when you’re lying Sokka.” She reminded him.
“We can discuss this later!” He exclaimed, flustered. “Let’s go.”
Tumblr media
Y/N had contemplated killing Zuko before.
It had never really been serious, as far as she would’ve gone was maybe injuring him badly enough that she got her point across. But at the end of the day, she protected Zuko to the best of her ability, and tried to keep his mind from being poisoned by the Fire Nation ideals that she’d once lived by unquestionably.
Now she actually wanted him dead. He stood alongside Azula, who had offered Y/N her spot in her little gang hours ago, though she’d rejected the offer much to Azula’s chagrin. But she seemed sure that Y/N would accept some time soon. Perhaps it was because Zuko had betrayed her father and left him to the Dai Li.
He had betrayed her father, the man who had practically raised both of them.
Y/N had a violent past, she wouldn’t deny, and she liked to think that she was past all that. But looking at the situation ahead of them, watching the Waterbender, Sokka’s sister, Katara, cry over the body of the Avatar, she realized that maybe violence was the answer. Just this once.
So, when she hopped in front of them, she had a plan. A violent one.
“Pull yourself together.” She snapped at Katara, who looked up at her, bloodshot eyes and tears streaming down her confused face, “he’s getting out of here alive. But first, I need you to soak them.” Y/N gestured towards the troops coming towards them, Zuko and Azula accompanying them. Katara opened her mouth, and Y/N didn’t care what she was going to say as she ordered, “now!”
Katara’s brows drew together as she released the Avatar’s head onto her lap, raising her hands to use the waterfall behind them to successfully drench the soldiers, who groaned at the discomfort but pausing temporarily before they continued towards them. “What did you think that would accomplish? What a pitiful-” Azula’s taunts were paused when she watched as Y/N drew her hands together, inhaling deeply, and Azula stopped her movement. “That’s not possible.”
Suddenly, lightning was between Y/N’s fingertips, and she extended her hand into the large puddle of water that Katara had created. Y/N had learnt to bend lightning soon after she’d mastered Firebending, from her father, he’d insisted that she only use it when necessary, so she kept her ability to herself. This was necessary, she decided, hand touching the water and sending a shock throughout everyone with it, successfully putting all of the soldiers out of commission.
Unfortunately, Azula recognized the signs of lightning bending, and withdrew alongside Zuko, and the two were now coming to attack from above at a rapid rate. Y/N whipped her head around to see Katara, mouth gaped open at all the fallen soldiers. “You two need to leave, I’ll hold them off.” She began to move to create another strike of lightning
“No.” Called out another voice, and Y/N whipped her head over to see it was her father, Dai Li agents likely nearby as he moved in front of Y/N. “You all need to leave. Take Y/N with you, she will help the Avatar reach his destiny.” Y/N wanted to laugh at that, how could he be so sure? If the boy did die, then this would all be for nothing
Y/N scoffed, “are you crazy?” She moved closer to her father, “unlike Zuko, I’m not leaving you.” She exclaimed, exasperated.
Iroh simply smiled at her as he said, “I’m proud of you, Y/N.”
Tumblr media
Sokka knew he seemed dumb. He knew how others perceived him, as the ‘extra’ member of Team Avatar, the useless one, because he lacked bending. At the end of the day, Sokka was the brains of their operations, he was observant, and this helped him develop plans that most people would never even consider.
Not that anyone else knew, but Sokka was the only one that had actually interacted with Y/N prior to what happened in Ba Sing Se. Sure, they’d all met once or twice in the past, but Sokka had a knife to his throat then, so Y/N probably didn’t seem that appealing to the others. And he doubted they understood how odd it was that she was so... apathetic. Normally she’d tease, and joke alongside him but now?
It was odd, and nobody else could notice the shift in her personality but him, and he was concerned. Y/N had lost her father, and been betrayed by her cousin, and she had yet to talk about it, at all. Sokka liked to think that they were close enough to discuss such things, and he’d tried to get some sort of emotion out of her, the key word being tried.
Despite her apathetic personality, the others had warmed up to her for the most part. Apparently Toph had met Y/N in the past, during the time she’d run off and encountered Iroh. So, the two got acquainted fairly fast, Aang was happy to have a Firebender, and insisted that once he was back to full strength, and they’d found a better place for practice, he’d learn Firebending from her. Y/N had agreed but it was clear Aang wasn’t as excited as he was acting, Sokka figured he still associated the time he hurt Katara with Firebending.
Katara had been far less weary of Y/N than Sokka had expected, but given what Katara had told him when she’d first joined, that made sense. Y/N was a powerful Firebender who had betrayed her entire nation to help save Aang’s life, and though Katara didn’t approve of everything she’d done in the past, she tolerated her. Which was better than nothing in Sokka’s book.
They were currently camped out in the woods beside a Fire Nation town, everyone had scattered to prepare for the few nights they’d likely stay in the area. Katara had gone to the town with Toph and Aang, in search of supplies and food, while Sokka and Y/N set up the camp and collected wood to help start a fire. Y/N had insisted that she could maintain the fire without any wood, but Sokka viewed this as an excuse to get her alone and force her to discuss her feelings.
“So...” Sokka mumbled, looking to her as she leaned down to pick up another piece of wood, “lovely weather we’re having.”
Y/N turned to him, raising a brow before nodding, “yeah.” It was clear she wasn’t entirely paying attention the nonsense that was coming out of his mouth as he tried to get her to listen to him.
Sokka grabbed another piece of wood, “how have you been?”
Tilting her head at him in confusion, Y/N brought another piece of wood into her arms, “fine.” Looking up at the dimming sky she frowned, “we should start heading back to that spot we’d found earlier.” Y/N turned to begin walking, and Sokka struggled to match her pace.
His brows furrowed in frustration as he stared at her, the light of the falling sun filtering in between the trees and onto them. Y/N seemed to glow as she maneuvered between the trees, “how have you been sleeping?” Even Sokka sounded confused at the question he asked, but he didn’t know how to broach the topic with Y/N.
She simply paused her movement, turning to him, he stumbled slightly due to the abrupt stop, and met her eyes. “Just ask what you wanna ask, Sokka. Stop dancing around whatever it is.” Y/N sounded tired, looking to him expectantly as she awaited his question. Sokka scolded himself for being so obvious that she’d noticed something was up.
He sighed, “are you okay?” And she opened her mouth to respond but he continued, “actually? You can say that you are okay, and not mean it. Y/N you lost your dad and were betrayed by your cousin, and you-” Sokka grimaced as he met her eyes, “you haven’t been the same since you joined us.”
Y/N is silent for a moment, then her eyes were piercing into his, “how would you know that I haven’t been the same?” She asked, turning away to continue walking back to the chosen campsite, “it’s not like you know me.” His statement had set her off it appeared, but her response had easily done the same for him.
“Are you serious? Not like I know you?” He scoffed, jogging to catch up with her, “I know that you do whatever it takes to protect the people you care about. I know that you really like Earth Kingdom food because most of the food within the Fire Nation is on the spicier side.” Y/N didn’t seem to be listening, and the camp was in sight, but Sokka continued, “I know that you get really cold easily unless you regulate your body temperature with your Firebending. And I know that you can’t pick a favorite color because you are very indecisive.”
Aggressively, Y/N dropped the sticks into the center of the campsite as they arrived, turning to him, “you can stop now.” Her voice was almost taunting as she spoke, sarcastic in a way.
Sokka simply followed suit, placing the firewood in the center and facing her head on, “and most importantly, I know what it’s like to lose someone.” He takes her hand, and Y/N practically growls at the contact, attempting to yank her hand out of his grasp, she ends up pulling him closer towards her. Sokka clumsily topples onto her, knocking the both of them down into the dirt with a grunt. His forearms preventing him from crushing Y/N under his body weight as he held himself up, his eyes meet hers.
Y/N finds herself glaring daggers at him, while Sokka finishes his little speech with, “you don’t have to deal with this alone.”
And in that moment, he looks at her, really looks at her. And she’s really pretty.
Y/N opens her mouth to say something to him, only for someone else to begin speaking, “are we interrupting something?” Toph. Looking up, Sokka sees the others as well, Aang looks rather smug as he wiggles his eyebrows at Sokka, and Katara gives him a pointed look, likely disappointed that he’d fraternizing with the former enemy. He can’t help it when he feels his cheeks warm, and before he can move to get off Y/N, she’s launched him off of her, and he’s flat on his back on the ground. Toph laughs at the actions, bending a seat of earth for herself and the others before falling backwards into it, the girl seems to wish she had popcorn as she watched the moment unfold.
“No.” Y/N mumbles, bringing herself to her feet and dusting herself off. “I’ll be in my tent if you need me.” She retreats into one of the tents they’d set up earlier, and Sokka groans as he lets his head fall backwards into the ground and runs his hands over his face.
When he removes them, Aang is standing over him, along with Toph, while Katara organizes the firewood. “So... did we interrupt something?” Toph asked.
Sokka just sighs, his plan failed. This time at least. Next time, his goal would be to make her laugh, to make her smile. At least she had expressed some emotion, anger was better than nothing.
Anger seemed to turn to annoyance, since Y/N doesn’t leave her tent until nightfall and Sokka can’t help but wonder what was entertaining enough to keep her in there for all that time. When she does exit, she uses her Firebending to light a fire, and uses the firewood they’d collected earlier to ensure it stays alight. The rest of the group was seated around the center of the campsite, and Sokka wonders if she’s going to go back to her tent when she realizes the only open seat is next to him.
She doesn’t return to her tent though and he’s grateful. Though she sits as far as possible from him on the bench that Toph had created, half-heartedly listening to the things that the others are saying. Y/N can feel herself getting cold and can’t help the resent that bubbles up in her chest as she recalls what Sokka send earlier. Exhaling deeply, a puff of blue fire escapes her mouth and Y/N feels nauseous at the small reminder of Azula.
This catches Sokka’s attention, though the others are too enraptured in the story Aang was telling, Sokka turned to her, “cold?” He asked, leaning to the side to grab a blanket from his small pack, he offers it to her.
Y/N knew she wouldn’t be able to regulate her temperature when she fell asleep, but accepting the blanket from Sokka felt like... it felt like accepting him and everything he had said about her. So, when she doesn’t take the blanket from his hands, Sokka sighs, moving to put it back, only for Y/N to snatch the blanket from his hand and wrap it around herself begrudgingly.
This was her way of apologizing, moving closer to Sokka on the small bench she huffed as she pulled the blanket tighter around herself and turned her attention to Aang. She’d been mean, she wouldn’t deny, but what was she supposed to say? Exhaling deeply, Y/N closes her eyes temporarily, allowing drowsiness to consume her for a moment, before looking back to Aang.
It isn’t until Sokka feels a weight fall onto his shoulder midway through his own story that he realizes Y/N has fallen asleep, his mouth gaping open in shock as he pauses his words. He quickly shakes off the shock, cheeks warming as he turns back to the rest of the group, who all regard him curiously. Aang once again wiggles his eyebrows and Sokka ignores the action, continuing his story. Though he’s more weary of his vivid hand movements in fear of awakening Y/N, and noticeably quiets his voice. Sokka finds himself wishing he was Y/N as he listens to Katara’s Water Tribe horror story intently, after all, this is the most peaceful he’s ever seen her.
It doesn’t last long, because she’s soon startled awake, hand going to her side where she keeps her dagger as she and Toph speak simultaneously, “someone’s coming.”
As an old woman emerges from the shadows, Sokka practically holds Y/N down to keep her from lunging at her and attacking as the woman speaks. And of course, Y/N’s distaste for the woman doesn’t stop there, even when she invites them into her home, though Sokka doesn’t blame her. She’s a suspicious woman.
It’s not until he and Aang are attacking each other that Sokka regrets preventing Y/N from attacking the old woman when she had the chance. Katara is struggling to move, and Sokka can only hope that Toph and Y/N return from the cave soon as he yelps upon nearly making contact with Aang, the old woman laughing cynically. Sokka watches as she shifts, hand outstretching behind her, “don’t think I forgot you little Firebender.”
His eyes widen in both shock and fear as Y/N’s body is suddenly thrown onto the ground in front of him. Her body rising almost mechanically, back to a stand, Sokka realizes there’s lightning at her fingertips, the woman manipulating her body to aim for Sokka. “A shame you’ll be the woman to end your friend’s life isn’t it,” She’s making eye contact with Katara who is crying out and begging for her to stop.
Sokka can see the panic in Y/N’s eyes as the her hands aim towards him, “Y/N. It’s okay.” He calls out her, in an attempt at assurance that he doubts does much to soothe her. “It’s okay.” He repeats, squeezing his eyes shut as he prepares for the lightning to hit him. Except it never does, instead, it goes upwards into the sky as Y/N cries out in pain, having moved her body despite the woman blending her blood.
She had overpowered Hama’s bloodbending, something that clearly came as a shock to the old woman as Y/N turned around sluggishly, staring at the shocked old woman as blue fire left her mouth once more, chest heaving. Sokka could feel the weight on his bones slowly disappear, leaving behind an ache, the woman likely intended to focus her abilities onto Y/N, who was struggling to walk towards her.
“Scared?” Y/N asked, looking up at the woman, “you should be.”
Tumblr media
The next time that Team Avatar feared Y/N. She was face to face with Zuko.
He’d approached them as they sat in the Air Temple. And Y/N had practically jumped out of her seat, preparing for a fight as lightning seemed to dance at her fingertips. Though Sokka knew better than to allow her to attack her cousin, and grabbed her arm. “Can you guys handle this?” He asks the others, maintaining eye contact with Y/N. The others looked to them understanding what would likely occur if Y/N was allowed to be involved.
Zuko wouldn’t walk away from that fight.
“We got this Sokka.” Katara assured, pure hate in her eyes as she stared Zuko down, and Sokka couldn’t help but wonder if maybe he should remove both of them from the situation.
Sokka’s hand found Y/N’s, and it was almost burning hot, a sparks seeming to fly between them, he pulls at her hand. Y/N hesitantly allows him to drag her away, though she turns back momentarily to meet Zuko’s eyes. “I’ll kill you later, cousin.” She promises, and her voice is scarily calm. “For my father.” The condescending tone in her voice and the wince Zuko has in response is enough for Sokka to know that her intent was to hurt him emotionally if she couldn’t do it physically, and it was clear she had been successful.
Inhaling deeply, Y/N closes her eyes temporarily as Sokka brings her into one of many abandoned rooms in the temple, sitting her down onto a bed before kneeling down in front of her. “Are you good?” He asks.
“That’s a stupid question.” Comes her response.
Sokka tilts his head at her, giving her a smile, “well I’m a stupid guy.”
He’s rubbing gentle circles in her hand as she shakes her head, a small laugh escaping her, “no you’re not.” Her voice cracks and she cringes at the sound so she clears her throat, staring at the wall beside her. Sokka can’t help the way his heart swells at this comment, because for once he doesn’t feel like the comic relief, he doesn’t feel like the side character. Though he appreciates the rest of Team Avatar and loves them all dearly, at times, they didn’t take him seriously.
Y/N makes him feel important. Though he doesn’t say this as he looks at her, clearly shaken by Zuko’s sudden appearance, she speaks once more, “are you sure I can’t kill him?”
This time Sokka laughs, shaking his head, “I’m sure Katara would love to help you with that, but I doubt Aang would approve.”
Y/N nods slowly, letting out a shaky breath as a tear escaped her, though she quickly wiped it away and looks to the ground. “You wanna sit with me?” She asks, patting the spot on the bed beside her.
“Sure.” He replies softly, moving to sit on the bed with her. One he’s situated, Y/N leans her head onto his shoulder, and Sokka finds his hand wrapping around her waist. And they sit like this for several moments.
Taking a deep breath, Y/N removes her head from his shoulder and looks to him, “thank you.”
Sokka raises a brow, “for what?”
“Being here.” She replies, bringing her hand to move a hair from his face, Sokka watches her actions intently and in awe. “With me.” Her hand remains on his face for longer than necessary, and when she moves to let it fall back into her lap, Sokka’s hand cups hers.
They’re both silent when Sokka’s hand releases hers, and his other hand leaves her waist, both coming to her face. The look in his eyes tells her enough, and she nods to him.
The kiss felt like the first breath of fresh air in a while. Maybe it’s because it had been long overdue, but as Y/N brought her hands to his arms to pull him closer, she felt her head empty of all thoughts.
He pulls away momentarily, their foreheads resting against each others, he can see her eyes are shut, lashes pressed against her cheeks. “I hope,” Sokka pauses, and her eyes flutter open to look at him, he can feel his cheek warm as he continues, “I hope I can always be here, with you.” It’s a confession in its own way, and Sokka understands the weight of his words as he watches her reaction.
She opens her mouth, likely to reply, be closes it quickly, and Sokka can’t help the panic that floods him. Though this is quickly replaced by the feeling of her lips on his as her hand collides with his chest and pushes him down on the bed, earning a grunt from him.
“Guys, Zuko is gone-” Y/N throws herself onto the floor as she rolls off Sokka, and he sits up immediately. “Am I interrupting something now?” Aang asked, giving Sokka a look.
Y/N clears her throat, “no.” Sokka couldn’t help it when his brows drew together at this comment, bringing a hand to his temple as he sighed, and Y/N stood, dusting off her thighs as she mumbled, “see you guys later.”
She started avoiding him after that.
When Zuko joined the group, she’s also made a point to avoid him no matter how hard he tried to apologize to her. And of course, when Sokka first showed him to his room they had a... chat. To put it simply, Sokka had threatened him.
Just a little.
“So yeah, here it is, your room.” Gesturing to the room, Sokka gave Zuko a tight lipped smile, watching him wearily.
Zuko’s back was to him as he placed his stuff down, “thank you.” He said, expecting that to be the end of it, upon hearing the door close he assumed Sokka had left.
When he turned around, Sokka was still very much there. “Let’s have a chat, Prince Zuko.” It didn’t go unnoticed by Sokka how the boy grimaced at the use of his title, though that didn’t stop him from moving forward and placing a hand on Zuko’s shoulder a little too tightly. “Y/N does not want to speak with you.”
“I know,” Came his reply. “Thank you for keeping her from... killing me. The other day. I intend to apologize-”
A small laugh escaped Sokka, “next time. I won’t stop her.” This was for multiple reasons, one of which being that Y/N was avoiding him, and the other being that he wished to respect her and her feeling about Zuko. “And you need to respect her wishes. One of those wishes being, avoiding you. Until she approaches you, leave her be.”
Zuko’s brows furrowed at this comment, “she’s my cousin. You can’t expect-”
“Leave. Her. Be.”
Zuko became silent, nodding slowly as he looked to Sokka curiously.
And now, to avoid some of his problems and solve some of them, Sokka ended up running away in a hot air balloon with the person he related to the most at the moment, and the person he threatened rather recently. Zuko. Both of them were being avoided by someone important in their lives, and they both had slightly crazy younger sisters. Though their conversations were certainly... odd.
“My first girlfriend turned into the moon.”
Zuko looked at him for a moment before saying, “that’s rough, buddy.” There was silence after this, a temporary lapse in conversation that Zuko seemed determined to fill. “So...” Zuko mumbled. “You and my cousin huh.”
It wasn’t a question, Sokka realized this, but he disregarded it as he responded, “what about us?” Playing dumb would hopefully get him to drop the subject.
Zuko raised his brows at Sokka, “us?”
Scolding himself, Sokka realized he’d unintentionally dug a deeper hole for himself when he said this as he tried to avoid Zuko’s gaze. “Not really.” Sokka replied, “she’s avoiding me too.”
Nodding, Zuko gave him a tight lipped smile, “what did you do?”
“I wish I knew.” Sokka could only make assumptions about why Y/N had begun to avoid him, but at the end of the day was confused over it.
He really needed to talk to her.
Tumblr media
As the day of Sozin’s Comet drew closer, Sokka had started trying to talk to Y/N more and more, she’d keep basic conversation but whenever he tried to address... the kiss, Y/N would shut down the conversation. And now, it was the day of Sozin’s Comet, and they established that Zuko and Katara would take on Azula, Aang would take on Ozai, and the rest of them would go after the army that was heading for the Earth Kingdom.
It seemed that Sokka intended to try to speak with her once more as he approached her while she strapped a dagger to her thigh. “We need to talk.” He said, plopping down onto a rock beside her.
“About battle strategy?” She asked, looking to him, “I had some ideas.”
Play dumb, play dumb, play dumb.
Sokka’s brows furrowed as he shook his head, “about the kiss, Y/N.” Y/N tried to hide her shock at his forwardness, he’d never been this blunt before, during his previous attempts to discuss this with her. Turning to him, she prepared to speak but he silenced her, “you’re going to listen this time.” Grimacing, he looked away, towards the horizon. “I don’t know what’s going to happen today. And if something goes wrong, I need you to know-”
“Nothing is going wrong.” Y/N stated firmly. “Nothing. So, we can have this conversation after.”
Sokka sat up from his place on the rock, moving in front of her, “there’s no way to guarantee that Y/N.”
Squeezing her eyes shot, Y/N took a deep breath, “I’ll make sure nothing happens to you guys.” She promised, “and I swear we can talk about this after.” She grabs onto his hands, holding them in hers as she looks away. Y/N knew why she was avoiding it. He was right, it was totally possible for one of them to die, and a relationship in the midst of a war was the worst possible idea. After would be better, or at least that’s what she’d told herself.
The pleading look in his eyes almost burns through her resolve as he asks, “will we?” It almost hurts that he doesn’t believe her, but Y/N can’t blame him.
“We need to go.” Her voice was almost a whisper as she releases his hands. Even if she wanted to continue discussing the subject, they needed to begin the battle soon.
Sokka frowned though, “if you don’t want this, just tell me and I’ll-” He sighed, bringing a hand to his temple. “I’ll stop bothering you.”
Y/n began to shake her head, “you are never a bother to me I just-” Sighing, she looked into his eyes, “I want this. I do, I’m just scared, and we’re in the middle of a war Sokka!” She exclaimed, the words spilling out of her mouth before she can stop them.
“You think I don’t know that?” Sokka cried out, exasperated. “Y/N I’m so scared that something is going to go wrong, and I’ll never get to tell you that I-”
“Don’t say it.” She interrupts, fear in her veins as she watches him.
So, he didn’t.
If she didn’t feel like she had something to come back to, maybe that would make it easier. Sacrifices would have to be made to reach victory, and Y/N wouldn’t hesitate to be the one to make them if it meant the others survived. They deserved to see the new world, the world of peace, prosperity, and freedom, the one that came after all this.
Y/N could feel the power flooding her as the comet drew closer, pure and raw power. Though this accompanied by her skill would likely help her in the upcoming battle, dozens of Firebenders with half her skill and the power of the comet was something she was definitely worried about. Overpowering them all was unlikely, and in the best case scenario, Y/N could slow them down. But she wasn’t a fool. In war, there were always casualties, and she was prepared to become one of many.
Then there were the thoughts in the back of her mind. Though nobody had discussed it, the throne could potentially go to her after all this, and that wasn’t really something Y/n was looking forward to debating. Perhaps it was selfish, but Y/N didn’t really care. Was it wrong of her to dream of escaping the shackles that bound her to the Fire Nation since birth, to leave behind the politics and the lies and the pain of it all?
Maybe.
Sokka knew Y/N had a lot going on in her mind right now. And he knew she was scared of what was to come, and no matter how much it hurt him, he respected her wishes to wait until this battle was over to discuss whatever it was between them. He knew where he stood. But now that Suki had left them, he found himself beginning to regret it. On the top of the Air Balloon, Toph was practically blind, and Sokka could do little in terms of long distance, aside from his boomerang. Which left Y/N to do her best to defend them from the Firebenders that had begun to swarm them.
“Go!” She cried out, knocking one of the Firebenders off the balloon. “Take out the rest of the fleet.” Y/N dodged the oncoming flames, intercepting them with her own to prevent the others from getting burned.
But Sokka wasn’t going to let anyone die today. “You still owe me a conversation,” came his response, looking down at the bridges on the Air Balloon. “Jump!” Sokka cried out as another ball of fire rushed towards them, he took Toph by the hand and hoped that Y/N followed.
Thankfully, she did, he took notice of her as he fell towards the bridges extending from the giant hot air balloon. They were all screaming as they fell, and Y/N grunted in pain as she hit Sokka, tumbling over him and off the edge, yelping as her hands grasped the bridge, with little leverage. Toph similarly went over the side, her screams filling Sokka ears as Y/N released one of her hands from the bridge and caught Toph’s wrist.
Panic flooded Sokka as he scrambled to the edge of the bridge, Y/N’s hand slipping, “Sokka! Hurry up-” Another scream rips out of her as she loses her grip on the edge.
Nearly falling as he grabbed her hand, his chest heaved. “It’s gonna be okay.” He promised, looking into Y/N’s panicked eyes. “It’s gonna be fine Toph!” He cried out to her.
“Yeah, right!” She called out into the wind, the fear evident in her voice despite the sarcastic nature of the comment. “Y/N I don’t wanna die.”
Y/N almost can’t hear her, too focused on maintaining her grip on both Sokka and Toph’s hands. She exhales slowly, eyes falling on the soldiers that are beginning to make their way down to them as she replied, “you’re gonna be fine, I promise. I’m gonna get you to Sokka, okay?”
Sokka was internally panicking, he wouldn’t be able to fight back against the incoming soldiers if both his hands were occupied, but his grip was faltering and he couldn’t pull them both up. Grimacing as he looked down at the two, he nodded in agreement to Y/N signaling that he was ready. It made sense in his mind, she would be able to use her free hand to Firebend, which was far more useful than anything he could provide at the moment.
Inhaling deeply, Y/N looks to Toph, “Toph, I need you to climb up my body, and grab Sokka’s free hand, okay?”
Toph’s death grip on her hand seems to grow stronger, tears brimming her eyes, “I- I don’t think I can.”
Y/N shakes her head at these words, “yes, yes you can. Bring your legs up to grab my lower body, and then make your way up, okay? Like a tree.”
Toph shook her head rapidly, “I’ve never climbed a tree!”
Sokka couldn’t help but grow impatient as he exclaimed, “there are soldiers coming, Toph please!” His hand was growing sweaty as he used his free hand to throw his sword at one of the oncoming soldiers, effectively knocking him down.
Y/N felt her arm swing slightly, and watched as Toph blindly extended her legs, finally managing to wrap them around her legs. She released Y/N’s hand and wrapped both arms around her lower body, slowly inching upwards until her legs were around Y/N’s waist and her arms were on her shoulders. “Good job, now reach up, as far as you can, and Sokka’s gonna grab your hand.” Y/n instructed using her free hand to pat the hand that Toph had wrapped around her.
Y/N could feel the young girl’s tears fall onto her shirt as she extended her hand upwards, Sokka’s freehand moving as far down as possible. The strain on Y/N’s body slowly becoming too much as tears leaked out of her eyes.
Maybe it would be better to just... let go.
She quickly shook off those thoughts, Toph, Toph, Toph, she couldn’t do anything brash until Toph was safe. Y/N watched as Sokka’s hand narrowly missed Toph’s. “Sokka, please.” Y/N whispered, looking to him with pleading eyes.
Maybe it was the desperation he heard in her voice that moment, or maybe it was pure luck, put his fingers grazed Toph’s and he latched on, extending his arm as far as possible and gripping her hand. “Now let go of me, and Sokka’s gonna pull you up, okay?” Y/N explained, looking to Sokka, his eyes meeting hers. Y/N quickly realized he couldn’t lift either of them up. Just like her, this was straining his muscles, and Sokka was struggling to keep both of them up.
“Sokka.” She said, demanding his attention, his eyes met hers, filled with fear as Toph relieved Y/N’s body of her weight and evened out the distribution on Sokka’s body. “You can’t fight back with both your hands taken.” More tears were streaming down her face as she spoke, “a-and... you can’t pull us both up.” Sokka was crying too now, shaking his head rapidly as Y/N simply pointed out the facts.
Toph’s grip on his hand tightened, “we’re all going to die.” There was resignation in her voice, and it hurt Y/N to hear it.
“We’ll figure it out. We are all going to be okay.” He stated firmly, a shaky breath leaving him as he made an attempt to pull them both upwards, a failed attempt.
Squeezing her eyes shut momentarily, Y/N allowed herself to imagine it, a life with Sokka and the rest of her friends. A life where they were all happy. Where everyone made it out of this war alive, and they helped bring balance to the world.
To give them that world, they had to end this war. And what was war without death?
Opening her eyes, she looked to Sokka, and he was panicked, noticing that far more soldiers had surrounded them and were preparing to mercilessly throw them off the balloon. “Sokka.” She repeated, and he looked to her with a tear streaked face.
“I love you.”
Everything seemed to slow as she spoke this words, and Y/N didn’t see the horror on his face for long as the grip of his hand faltered when she released it, he was screaming, crying, begging for her to stop. Toph clearly didn’t understand what was going on as she began to call out Y/N’s name in a panic.
And then she was falling.
It appeared there would be no after.
It felt peaceful, she decided. Falling. The stress on her body had dissipated and she caught one final glimpse of Sokka’s mortified face before going through the clouds. The comet was visible from where she was, the horizon, it was a beautiful way to die. But staring at the comet she realized she wanted to know what would come after, she realized that Toph was practically helpless and all Sokka had was a boomerang against dozens of Firebenders.
They would die. So, what was the point of her sacrifice? What was the point of her dying?
No, she wouldn’t be dying today.
Inhaling deeply, Y/N felt the power course through her veins, and she reminded herself that she was Y/N L/N, a force to be reckoned with. Nobody would forget that as fire tore through the soles of her shoes, and extended from her hands, propelling her upwards.
She was the daughter of the famed Dragon of the West. And she would take on his mantle, she decided, as she flew upwards and through the clouds.
She could see Sokka had managed to bring Toph upwards and onto the platform alongside him, and they were surrounded by Firebenders. It was clear that they’d seen her when their mouthes gaped open, and a few of the soldiers began to retreat, much to the chagrin of their commanding officer. Y/N found herself ceasing her Firebending and falling towards the platform, she landed in a roll and rose on one knee before opening her mouth and allowing fire to pour outwards.
The Firebenders fell off the bridges beside them one by one, and those who didn’t retreated back inside along with the others at the sight of the Air Balloon that Suki had evidently comandeered.
Closing her mouth, Y/N’s chest heaved, and she felt Toph tackle her from behind, “you’re alive!” She exclaimed, punching Y/N’s arm roughly, “idiot.” She dug her head into Y/N’s shirt.
“Yeah, I am an idiot.” Y/N replied breathlessly, holding the girl tightly.
When Toph finally released her, she gave her a smug look, “I’ll give you and him a minute.” Though this was partially an excuse to head back inside and into the safety of the balloon, maybe even attack some of the remaining Firebenders, it was also because Toph could read the room.
And there stood Sokka, mouth gaping open, tears streaming down his smiling face as he looked at her, before lunging towards her similar to how Toph had. Except his hands came to her cheeks as he brought their lips together, effectively knocking the two onto the ground of the platform, be pulled apart from her with a smile on his face, “I love you too.”
Yeah, after was looking pretty good right about now.

Analyzing Killua Zoldyck's Character
Illumi Analysis| Hisoka Analysis| Chrollo Anaysis|
What’s up y’all?! I’ve had at least 2 cups of coffee this morning and I am ready to write my butt off! This post will be about Killua Zoldyck, my second favorite character and you will know why by the end. If you’d like me to write about your favorite character, Be sure to send me a message and I will get on it ASAP.
Here we go!
I saw Killua for the first time on Tumblr. Someone created various icons for several anime characters and edited them. They were all aesthetically pleasing but for some reason, his picture stood out. Now that I look harder, it is because he was holding a Pepsi can instead of the off-brand one they drew for him in the cartoon. I noticed everyone on TikTok and Twitter had the very same icon as their profile picture (usually those that like to troll and say racist things to others). Once I started watching Hunter x Hunter, I realized the character immediately. Thank you for your edits!
Tumblr media
Killua Zoldyck is the youngest child in the family and is the only child that developed a mind for his own.
Tumblr media
Instead of taking the pleasure of killing, he runs/avoids and achieves this by becoming friends with Gon. It’s interesting to think that no one in the Zoldyck family wants to kill for fun except for Illumi.
I remember Zeno telling Chrollo: “Do you think I enjoy killing?”.
Tumblr media
This makes me think that the family’s job is to destroy enemies that are a threat to society. Are the Zoldyck’s taking on the role of cops or an extension of such? If that statement is true why does Illumi take pleasure in abusing his power when his own grandfather only does it when criminals are involved? Granted, Silva and Zeno’s reasoning for brutally fighting criminals isn’t legal, and (to me) are considered to be vigilantes, at least they don’t go around doing the horrible things like how Illumi and Hisoka do.
This very reason why Killua ran away from home. He decided to rebel against his mother and implied: “Fuck you. I’m going to do what I want.” Killua and his siblings are victims of child abuse and show that they deal with that abuse in different ways. Killua masks his abilities in public and tries to keep them under control, Kalluto seems to be very quiet and obedient, Milluki is just as abusive as Illumi, and we already know about Illumi. Milluki is physically abusive; this can be seen when he is whipping Killua for running away and threatens to destroy Gon, Kurapika, and Leorio while Illumi plays mind games on Killua and uses his Nen to do the trick.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Killua’s character is very special and in a way takes the lead as the main character instead of Gon. I don’t know if that was intentional or not. Killua is a 12-year-old boy who leaves home to escape his abusive home and see the world for his own. During phase 1 of Hunter’s Exam, he instantly clicks with Gon; probably because he’s the only 12-year-old there. They constantly challenge each other to see who will win and who will buy dinner or some other reward. Because of his abusive home, Killua often masks his feelings. This is noticeable every time Gon talks about him being his best friend and he always reacts as if he’s embarrassed by it.
Tumblr media
Gon is his shield from going bat-shit crazy like his family. They both have faced opponents (like Hisoka and others) where Killua could have unleashed his assassin abilities but didn’t. Yes, some of the opponents are stronger than him, but it wouldn’t hurt to try.
Killua is the best friend Gon could ever have. Since he knows about aura and any supernatural abilities, this is why he stops Gon and even insults him for pushing himself too far. Killua stopped Gon from using too much aura in the past especially once Kite’s arm was cut off by Pitou. Because Killua wasn’t there to stop him when fighting Pitou, this resulted in Gon’s downfall. Did Killua believe it was his fault that Gon almost died? He isn’t responsible for Gon’s actions but he focused so much on running away from his “demons” and masking his temper by maintaining his friendship that he wasn’t paying attention to Gon’s noticeable and developing temper.
Killua Zoldyck is a child that suffered from abuse and to escape that reality, he runs away, takes Hunter’s Exam only to match with his brother, chooses defeat, and then kills an opponent, not of his own free will.
But wait, there’s more.
After being rescued from his prison of a home, he goes to Heaven’s Arena, met Zushi and his teacher, develop Nen, follows the Phantom Troupe around and somehow managed to survive that, meet Bisky, join a game to get closer to Ging, witnesses Gon disappearing, trying to form a relationship with Alluka, and then tries to heal Gon with a quickness.
Whew, chile!
At the beginning of the show, it appeared as if Killua was taking on too much and only did so to keep his mind off what he escaped from.
One thing to point out is Killua’s motivation to heal Gon no matter what. It is implied that he doesn’t care what will happen to him or anyone else as long as Gon can live again.
Wait.
Isn’t that along the lines of what Gon said about getting revenge for Kite? He didn’t care about what happened to him? Hmmmm. I guess they’re very similar after all!
Killua and Gon are BFFs and will do anything for each other. Friendships in real life should be this way; let’s follow his fictional example.
Face
Killua’s face is the typical shape for someone his age. His eyes are wide, as blue as the morning sky, and honestly, I wish he’d smile more. Even though he is 12 years old, he still has a babyface.
Tumblr media
Hair
Killua’s hair color is very similar to Princess Allura’s and Lotor’s. According to verywellmind.com, the color white represents innocence and purity. Ironically, Lotor and Killua are the opposite of that while Allura has maintained her innocence. Killua’s unique hair color and hairstyle are amazing! I love how it stays in shape while he is fighting or running.
Tumblr media
Clothes
Regarding clothes, he is JUST like his brother. Again, Illumi irks me, but they both have a great taste in fashion. Through the show, Killua changes his clothes more than Gon, which is funny. I guess if Gon changed his clothes too much it would take away from his character. Killua’s default style contains a sleeveless white shirt with a purple one underneath, basketball shorts, and gym shoes. Just look at these outfit changes! This is why Killua is my 2nd favorite character in this show.
Tumblr media
Behavior
As stated before, Killua cares more about others. This is ironic because the Zoldyck family only cares about themselves or their family while Killua feels the complete opposite. It’s almost as if he trusts strangers more than his own family. A common phrase: “She/He turned to the streets” that I’ve heard in my hometown can be applied here. Killua probably hates his family and turned to strangers to find love and comfort since they neglected that. He is also the only one that tries to develop a relationship with Alluka. At first, I thought “Wow he’s only developing a relationship with her to heal Gon” but then I realized it was bigger than that. Alluka has been separated from her family because of her dangerous abilities. She will demand something and if that person doesn’t fulfill her demands, they will suffer horribly. Killua learns that Alluka has a healing ability and while Illumi complains that Killua was hiding rules from him, he never took the chance to talk to him about it and continued to threaten Alluka. The family “banished” her to a confined room for who knows how long because, apparently, she had been possessed by a demon from the Dark Continent and they do not know when it happened. Despite knowing that Killua could parish with the rest, he still develops a relationship with her. He is the true example of excepting someone for who they are. As far as I’m concerned, running away was the best decision he made. It saved his life and in return, he’s going to save another. I do find it ironic that something considered to be so dark has the power to bring something back to life when usually it’s something bright like a light...interesting. You all know what I’m saying. Most television shows only portray angles to heal others while demons only seek to destroy. The Zoldyck family is wrong for pushing Alluka away. How could you do that to your own kid? Shit, you should be blaming yourself for not watching her and allowing the demon to posses her.
Tumblr media
In conclusion, Killua is my second favorite character. He is bold, loves his friends, and isn’t afraid (anymore) to step up to people he may not win against. His character has blossomed from a young boy afraid to step up to his brother to a boy who isn’t afraid to do so. He has learned about Nen and has gone through many trials and tribulations just to say he is much stronger than before. What characters would you like to hear about next? Send me a DM!

“Sacrifice” Reader x Adult Trio
Tumblr media
Prompt: simply something were to happen on a mission w/ adult trio and one of you has to be the sacrifice.
Warnings: none just sad bc I’m sad
.
.
.
• Hisoka:
You had begged Hisoka to let you come with him on this mission, it had been a while since the both of you worked together and he couldn’t deny that you two made a good team but the more time went on, the more he got over protective with you and letting you come with him was like him having to babysit and do the mission all at once and he couldn’t risk losing you, not under his supervision.
When you finally went on the mission, you realized how hard it actually was until it came down to one last option at the back of your head. You didn’t want to think about it, you couldn’t so you continued to get up and fight with everything you had in you. Hisoka was trying his hardest to keep his eyes on you while also battling the main boss behind the whole operation you two were trying to take down. Hisoka simply thought this would be a fun interesting battle that he could probably easily win but with you here, he had to make sure you were safe above all.
Minutes passed and you were on the ground heaving from how exshaunted and beaten down you were. Your body ached but your heart broke more when you took a glance at Hisoka and seen how hard he was trying- for you. You knew in that second you had to do what you were thinking about earlier. Sacrificing yourself for Hisoka’s safety. Your power that was held inside of you was a deadly weapon, he knew that but what he didn’t know was that the power you held all these years can easily kill you. You kept it locked away for as long as you could, your past with your powerful family was traumatizing and you refused to use the power your abusive father passed on to you but the look on Hisoka’s face, the look you’ve never seen before was fear.
In that moment, it clicked and you knew you had to use it for this and knew you had to keep him alive at all costs. You couldn’t care less about yourself or your own life but Hisoka, you cared for his more. You never knew you could love someone this much that it made your heart ache. You slowly stood up, wiping the blood mixed with tears off your face and had used everything in your power to grab onto the boss and held on as you took everything you had in you to absorb the both of you with the intense power, practically burning you both alive.
Hisoka got knocked down from the sudden explosion, his eyes wide and strands of hair rested over his bloody forehead. He ran over to where you were, his heart racing and panic filled his head. Once he had seen your body, he knew what you did for him. He kneeled down and scooped up your lifeless body, emotionless. He didn’t know what to feel or what to think, you were all he had left. He had pushed the small strands from your face, sighing as the tears threatened to fall from his eyes.
“Thank you, darling.” Was all he said, carrying you away from the scene and through the woods, bringing you back home.
.
.
Chrollo:
Chrollo had known you for quite some time and once you joined the spiders, the relationship between you two had blossomed rather quickly. It was unexpected, you had only joined to get revenge on the spiders for stealing precious items from the small town you came from but the more you had talked to Chrollo, the more you realized how much in common you two had and after that it went all downhill.
Your judgment was clouded, the only thoughts left in your brain was of Chrollo and you disappeared from your town years ago to stay with him and be wherever he was but the chain user had gotten to him in ways you didn’t want to believe and the chain wrapped around his heart had prevented him from speaking to the spiders and that had broken you down heavily.
It’s been months since you seen or heard from him and it had sent you in a spiral of sadness and rage to the point where you had gotten into a murderous rampage throughout the city, ripping apart people and burning places to the ground. Feitan had tried his best to look after you but it was no use considering how powerful you truly were and he noticed that there was no hope to tame a wild animal without their alpha, it was pointless.
Chrollo finally got light of what you were doing and it had made his heart ache more and more until finally he decided to do what was needed to be done. To see you. He didn’t bothering caring about the rest of the spiders nor the judgment chain that wrapped around his heart, preventing him from seeing you but as broken as you both were, he wanted to make this sacrifice just to see your face one last time.
He had made the arrangements and made sure he had written letters out to everyone in the troupe and one especially for you before he made his way to the city you were in causing chaos. Once he stepped foot in the city, he was having second thoughts. Did he want to kill himself just to see your face one more time or should he wait until he could get the chain off, would you handle waiting for that long? He wasn’t too sure but his love for you was huge and deep, it was endless and he knew he had to see you and make you stop this madness.
His feet made their way around, trying to find the exact location you were staying at before settling inside and waiting for you. His hair hung over his face and the clothes he wore were just a plain t-shirt and jeans. He was nervous, his hands were actually sweaty for the first time since he first met you. Suddenly, the door opened up and he saw a glimpse of your face and his heart began to race. You both made eye contact and you didn’t think twice before clinging yourself onto him. The hug was tight, your chests pressed against each other before your lips had met.
He knew he had to speed up this process, he knew it was coming in a matter of minutes so he quickly pulled back and made sure to cup your cheeks to keep you in place.
“Listen to me, I don’t have much time. I couldn’t handle not seeing your face or not being able to touch you and I finally realized that my last breath should be with you. You’ve made me open my eyes and see the world in a much better light, for that I’m forever grateful and I want you to live a long happy life, even if it’s without me. Got it?” He had rushed everything out, wiping the tears that had slipped and rolled down your cheeks.
“Chrollo- why,” Suddenly his eyes went wide for a second, the chain stabbing him clean in the heart and the whole time he kept his eyes on you, never letting go and you had to catch him as he fell, gasping for breath as his last seconds were kept focused on you.
“I love you, don’t forget that.” He barely managed to speak before his heart stopped beating and the life drained from his eyes.
You had sat there, holding his lifeless body close to yours as you tried to gather your thoughts and take in what had just happened. He risked his life to see you and for some reason you couldn’t handle that or process it. You knew you couldn’t manage without him and he wanted you to try. You had thought about years ago to when you two first met and had much he’s changed you, definitely made you crazy but in ways you didn’t mind.
Questions flew around your mind, are you going to be fine without him? Look around the city and look at what you did for him being gone for a few months and now he’s- gone forever. You felt stupid, it was your fault he came here and the pain thag swelled up your heart was so painful that it could kill you. It took you hours of holding onto his body to finally come up with a conclusion. As much as you loved him, you didn’t bring yourself to read the full letter he wrote to you, most of it consisting of living on for him and leading the Troupe but deep down Chrollo knew while writing it that the end of this story would be similar to Romeo and Juliet, the both of you dead inside the hotel room and he also accepted that fate.
As you got up from the floor, picking up a knife from your jacket pocket that was on the bed, you made your way back to lay beside him. The ache in your heart grew and grew more as you laid there before finally you made a sacrifice and that was to be with Chrollo. You pushed the knife in your chest, the sharp objecting instantly hitting your heart and your eyes rolled to the side to take one more look at him before the life drained out of you.
.
.
• Illumi:
Illumi was never the type to be openly affectionate or caring towards other people. It had actually taken him years to even begin to show you that side and openly admit to somewhat feeling a different way when he was around you.
He was a quiet but gentle soul, that’s what you thought anyway but on the outside he was very cold and mysterious and that’s what you liked about him and that’s what drew you in.
He was very good at his job to say the least, never messed up and never ruined anything, he always got the job done and went back home or went back to wherever you stayed at. This time it was different, he had pushed himself a little too far and put his trust into your hands and had let you come along with him to do a job, assassinate a big well known man.
Illumi had repeatedly told you to stay close and to not get into any trouble and he would do the job, you were basically just a puppy following behind him and kept yourself tight on his trail until you had turned your attention away from him for a second, just one and that’s all it took for you to get yourself caught up in a ugly situation.
The people had taken you in as hostage and tried to use you against Illumi but you knew better than to put your life into his hands, he would leave you if it had to come down to his life. As much as you never said it aloud or wanted to admit it, he was afraid of losing you and didn’t want to put you in any danger.
You had met eyes with his, the cold stare on his face was making it hard to tell if he had any real emotion and if he was actually upset at the situation you got caught in. Your brain had wondered endlessly and you knew that you would be dead and you’ll have to be dead for him to do his job right and get out of here without a scratch.
Your eyes glanced around, trying to pick up the courage to try to fight the guys that held you hostage and you ignored the endless screaming of them threatening to shoot you if you didn’t stop but, you didn’t stop. You kept going, pushing them more and more until the gunshot echoed throughout the building.
Illumi’s eyes stared at you, taking the chance to kill everyone in seconds while they were distracted with you but he was a little too late as he seen your body limp on the cold floor, the bullet killing you instantly.
Illumi was never the type to sacrifice his life for someone else or care for someone but when it came to you, the amount of warmth he felt when he was around you was something new. It was thrilling yet scary in his eyes but he couldn’t shake you off, even when he tried and tried- you always came back.
The emotionless stars upon his face had stayed still, a small frown forming as he stared at you not knowing what to do, what to say. He ruined this mission, maybe if he had trust his gut to not take you and leave you back then you would still be alive. Now he was back to being alone and cold. The feeling of warmth he never felt from anyone, not even his own parents, was swept away in an instant along with your life.

Chapter Two - Flowers in Your Hair
For the first month and a half that the Spanish Princess had been at the grand chateau in the countryside outside Paris, she had brought so much warmth and light to it. Sirius used to close the heavy curtains just after the sun had set but Y/N preferred to keep them open for much longer, only closing them just before she retired to bed. All the servants seemed to be delighted, now the chateau was always full of light whether it was warm yellow sunlight or the silver shine of the moon. Sirius had never seen the moon shine quite so beautifully.
Y/N was kind to the servants and they seemed to glow from her affectionate attention, though she hardly bestowed any warmth on Sirius – she wasn’t rude or anything  - but he expected that. It was why he wanted to wait a little while before they were married, Sirius hoped that they would grow to care for each other.
Sirius found her in the glass sun house, her pretty eyes fixed on a thick tome about myths and legends. He was contented with watching her for a few moments, her eyes moved across the page and she had a small smile on her face, “Your Highness,” he cleared his throat and she raised her graceful head to smile wanly at him, “I thought we might visit the village on the morrow so you can meet the townspeople.”
Y/N nodded as she played with the tresses of her hair, “I would like that, I would be happy to meet them. As long as I’m back for my siesta, I like having it beneath the apple tree.”
Sirius frowned a little as the new word rolled off her tongue; he knew that he should have learnt some Spanish in anticipation of her arrival. “I’m sorry, siesta? I’m not sure what that is,” he rubbed the back of his neck nervously and he saw the disappointment in her eyes.
“It’s a sleep in the day my dear brother,” a voice full of laughter called out. Sirius momentarily closed his eyes, fighting back a sigh as he turned to see his handsome younger brother at his side. Regulus really should have been properly announced, Sirius hated it when he just turned up like this, “and this must be the beautiful Princess Y/N,” he bowed and Y/N smiled at him graciously, “Su Alteza, espero que su estadía haya sido placentera,” he spoke in such perfect fluent Spanish that Sirius wanted to strangle him.
Y/N’s soft lips parted in surprise before she smiled and spoke back, “Si, gracias. Tu hermano es un hombre muy amable, me impresiona tu español “Yes,” Regulus grinned, reverting back to English and he clapped Sirius on the shoulder, “my dear brother is only fluent in French and English,” he laughed and Sirius felt his nostrils flare with anger but before he could remark, Y/N beat him to it.
She gave Regulus a sharp look, “I think that it’s rather impressive, I cannot speak any French,” she looked back over at Sirius and her face softened as she smiled at him.
Sirius beamed back at her, feeling his face flush with delight, Regulus held up his hands in mock defence before he backed away with a smirk on his face. Sirius smiled at Y/N as he walked towards her, “thank you, Your Highness.”
Y/N shrugged nonchalantly, “nobody – especially those in your family – can take your skills and accomplishments away from you, remember that,” she paused as she smiled prettily at him, “I think that in view of the circumstances you’d better call me Y/N,” she giggled before she glided out of the sun house, leaving behind the sweet smell of roses.
They left early the next morning and rode beneath the perfect blue sky, Sirius had decided to take her the scenic route, he was sure that she’d like it. Y/N looked exceptionally beautiful and ethereal in a dress of green silk and a garland of spring flowers in her hair. The pair of them mostly rode in silence as YN marvelled at the beautiful French countryside, her face aglow with pleasure and joy.
“France is so beautiful,” she hesitated, “from what I’ve seen of it anyway, I think that I prefer this landscape to the one in England,” she smiled at him from where she was riding on her chestnut horse.
Sirius smiled and nodded, he loved the French countryside too, it had a beauty that the English countryside couldn’t achieve, “I agree but England is beautiful in its way. I’ll show you,” Y/N smiled as her cheeks flushed with delight and she rode a little bit faster.
When they were on the outskirts of the quaint little village, Y/N dismounted and walked in on foot, leading her horse. Sirius grinned down at her before he exchanged a look with his small troupe of guards who inclined their heads at him. The Duke followed suit and walked alongside his future bride as they entered the village together. Y/N radiated warmth as the townspeople called her name; the women blew kisses while the men shouted bawdy remarks.
Sirius admired Y/N as she talked to the townspeople, any other woman would have been cold to people who were beneath her, but not Y/N. She hugged the ladies and kissed the men on the cheeks and Sirius couldn’t help but feel proud. There was a little girl who was hiding shyly behind her mother so Y/N beamed beautifully at the girl as she crouched down so she was at the child’s level.
“Hello sweetheart, what’s your name?”
“Amelia,” the girl whispered, still hiding her face.
“Amelia, it’s a pleasure to meet you, my name is Y/N.”
Amelia nodded, smiling unsurely before thrusting a bunch of daises at Y/N, “these are for you.”
Y/N gasped in delight as she took the flowers, “thank you! They’re beautiful,” she smiled as she plucked a flower before placing it amongst Amelia’s auburn curls, “there, now you have flowers in your hair.”
“Just like you!” Amelia beamed before hugging Y/N.
Y/N giggled as she hugged the little girl tight. Sirius smiled as he watched the interaction between them, she would have made an amazing Queen. Y/N seemed to charm almost everyone – some of the villagers remained stony faced – and she didn’t seem too unaffected by the villagers who didn’t seem to be impressed.
Sirius and Y/N left the village when the sun was high in the sky and the air was balmy and stifling. Sirius helped Y/N onto her horse and they rode out of town, waving goodbye to the villagers. Sirius smiled over at Y/N in pride as they rode side by side on the forest path, it had been a successful day and Y/N had done incredibly well.
“You have the knack for this kind of thing Y/N.”
The Princess smiled at him as the springtime wind blew through her hair, “for as long as I can remember I’ve always been taught to be just and fair. You can’t rule with fear, the common people will never love you if they fear you and it’s much better to be loved than feared,” she sighed wistfully and all Sirius could do was gape at her. How was she even real?
It was a pleasant ride, Y/N seemed to enjoy the sight of the dappled sunlight as it filtered through the thicket of trees and she smiled at the noise of a nearby stream. When they rode beneath the cherry blossom trees Y/N made a small sound of delight as she looked up at the pink petals.
“This is beautiful; we have nothing like this in Spain.”
“They’re cherry blossom trees; soon this whole path will be pink from the fallen petals.”
Y/N sighed happily as she glanced back up at the pretty tree, “that would be a marvel to see.”
Sirius suddenly had the burning need to see cherry blossom petals carelessly caught in her tresses. The young man flushed and willed the yearning to go away. His bride was beautiful for certain but he didn’t want to rush anything.
--------------------------
You smiled in bliss as you walked down the bright sweet smelling corridor of the beautiful French chateau, you glanced through the huge windows at the world outside and you grinned as you saw the rolling hills washed with dazzling sunlight. You could find beauty in everything when you were happy – and you were – you wouldn’t have thought it was possible for you to be happy anywhere apart from Spain. You found it easy to be happy in France, Sirius was handsome and kind and his lands were beautiful. It was like a midsummers dream in the height of springtime.
However, you couldn’t help but almost resent Sirius though you knew that it wasn’t his fault. It felt like he had stolen your birth right away from you, even though he had no say in the matter and you had never wanted to be Queen. Perhaps you felt this way was because as soon as you got married to Sirius you wouldn’t be a Princess, for the first time in your life you wouldn’t be titled as a Princess. Maybe you resented him because there was a rumour that he had bastards all over England but that was none of your business, as long as he didn’t father any when you became his wife. You understood that men had needs that women were destroyed for.
Whatever the reason, you were trying to get over it because you didn’t want a marriage that was built on resentment. You wouldn’t have a marriage like your parents. It was warm and sweet smelling when you walked into your expansive chambers and saw Sofia standing by the steaming hot bath that was full of dried rose petals and dried herbs. Sofia smiled at you, her gorgeous blue eyes sparkling and you smiled back. Sofia was your very best friend, you were going to make sure that she married well but you also wanted her to marry for love.
You got undressed and thanked her as she helped you into the boiling hot bath, it felt like heaven and you sighed in contentment as her fingers gently combed through your hair as you lay back, closing your eyes.
“Did you have a pleasant time visiting the townspeople yesterday?” Sofia asked as she washed your hair.
You smiled and nodded, remembering how handsome Sirius had looked upon his white horse. He was a complete cliché, “I did, we left for the village so early that I didn’t want to wake you,” you apologised, “I wish you could have seen it Sofia, it was so beautiful and they were so nice,” you remembered the little girl, Amelia fondly.
“You were always so good at talking and connecting with the people as I recall, I always admired that about you.”
Sofia’s words were sweet but you sighed and fiddled with a rose petal, “my father taught me when I was a little girl.”
Sofia squeezed your shoulder, “I remember, you even managed to charm my Aunt and we all know what a battle-axe she is,” she giggled, making you smile, “but you can’t blame Sirius for the fact that you’re not the Queen, you never wanted it. You need to warm to him, he’s handsome and kind, and I’m certain that he’s got no bodies in his cellar. He’s only ever welcomed us; you’re lucky Y/N.
“I know,” you muttered, bringing your legs up to your chest and wrapping your arms around them before you turned around to look at your dear friend, “I promise that I’ll find you a good man who you will love and in return he will love you.”
Sofia’s eyes teared up as her olive skin deepened with a flush, “thank you, Your Highness.”
You and Sofia both peeked round the doorframe of the study to see Remus looking at Sirius with a worried look on his face while Sirius dragged a hand through his tangled hair and pressed his fingers against his temples. Sirius had asked you if you would meet him in his study after dinner, he had some news for you and you hoped that it wasn’t anything bad. You and Sofia exchanged worried glances as you swallowed and knocked against the doorframe.
“Sirius?” you called softly, not wanting to startle him.
Sirius rubbed a hand down his face as he looked up and smiled weakly at you worry was etched into his handsome face, “Y/N,” he looked at Remus, biting his lip, “Remus can you and Lady Sofia give us a moment?” at Sirius’ request you looked at Sofia who nodded with a flush on her face.
“Of course,” Remus smiled kindly as he offered Sofia his arm and he escorted her down the corridor, you hoped that Remus would show her around the gardens. The Earl of Warwick was a nice man.
You turned to look at Sirius who looked like he was about to cry and your heart melted just a little bit as you went to him and sat opposite him, placing a gentle hand on his arm, “what happened? What’s wrong?”
Sirius smiled at you but you could see how tired he was, “King James wrote to me, there’s news of trouble brewing in the North of England, it could just be rumours,” he sighed, “or something a lot worse. James wants Remus, Peter and I to meet secretly and discuss it before he goes to his council. He trusts us more than anyone on that damned council; this will be so much easier when we’re all at court.”
“Okay,” you wondered why he was telling you this and you were struck with hope, he respected you enough to tell you his troubles and that was certainly a start.
“I want you to meet with us; we all agree that a Princess of the Castile, a daughter of a Warrior King and Queen would be very beneficial. We will make your voice heard, we’ll have to meet as soon as possible,” he smiled and you felt a floaty feeling in your chest.
He would talk to the King’s council on your behalf because you both knew that they wouldn’t listen to you. He wanted your input, he cared about what you had to say and in that moment, that was everything to you, “thank you Sirius, you don’t know how much that means to me,” you beamed and in that moment you knew that Sofia was right. You were lucky, despite your circumstances.

This was requested, but the person wanted to be kept anonymous and anonymous they should be kept.
Request: I can’t choose between 31 and 33 for Chrollo. You can choose.
Warnings: Yandere themes, unhealthy mindset, unhealthy relationship, possessiveness, obsessiveness, manipulation, threatening, blackmailing, mentions of death, mentions of kidnapping
Prompt 33: “The next time someone touches you, I’ll chop their hands off!”
Tumblr media
How long had it taken you to convince him? Weeks? Months? You couldn’t clearly remember, but the only thing you knew was that it was worth all the waiting and ‘favors’ you had to do. But you were finally out again! You were able to see other humans again, not only Chrollo and his troupe! Chrollo was sitting currently in the chair opposite from you, his nose stuck in a book. You on the other hand were busily looking around, taking everything you could see greedily in. The humans surrounding you seemed more interesting to you than every movie in this world, every little action they did made you excited. The cake standing in front of you was long forgotten, the only thing you hungered for was watching people do their daily activities. Chrollo noticed your excited look and chuckled slightly. “Are you really that excited to be here?” You hummed in response, not caring to look at him, too busy with staring at the other costumers in the small coffee shop.
Chrollo narrowed his eyes, clearly not enjoying that you didn’t pay any attention to him. He grabbed one of your hands and squeezed it slightly. You noticed quickly what he wanted and teared your gaze away from the other costumers and towards him. Chrollo gave you a pleased smile. “You seem to like it a bit too much to watch other people. Tell me, am I not enough?” Even though he still had his ‘Prince Charming smile’ you could clearly sense the dangerous undertone in his voice. You knew you had to be careful with your answer now if you didn’t want him to destroy this place. “It isn’t like this! You’re more than enough for me! You’re all I need! I just find the small things people do interesting. I like to pay attention to the small things.” You had started to sweat a bit, hoping he would let this answer count.
For a while he just looked at you before he slightly chuckled. “I’ll let your answer pass for now, but if you like to pay attention to the small things I can guarantee you that I’m much more interesting than all those other persons in here.” With these words he continued to read this book, but he still held your hand in his. You didn’t dare to look away from him, knowing that he wouldn’t be as forgiving the next time and from the small smile he had on his face you knew that he clearly enjoyed it to have your undivided attention. You sighed quietly and grabbed your fork, deciding to eat the piece of strawberry cake in front of you. And it tasted amazing! You knew that Chrollo could give you cake from the best bakers in the country if you would ask him to, but just the fact that this cake was served by a friendly lady who had given you a small smile made this cake taste like heaven. “If you like the cakes here, I’ll make sure to get them whenever you like.”, Chrollo told you without looking away from his book. “That-that sounds great.”, you tried to answer enthusiastically, but you knew that the cake would never taste the same if it wouldn’t be served by a friendly young man or woman who would give you a small smile and tell you to enjoy it. It wouldn’t be the same!
For a few moments you just sat there in silence before you mumbled:”Can I go to the toilets?” Chrollo looked up. “Of course, but before that you have to give me something.” You bit your tongue annoyed. Damn it! You should have expected this! Chrollo had already leaned closer to you, his warm breath hitting your face. You really didn’t want to do this, but this was an emergency. It would also give you a few minutes without him. That was all the motivation you needed. You pressed your lips on his and Chrollo was quick to grab your chin in his fingers to make sure you wouldn’t pull away immediately. He moved his lips greedily against yours and after a too long moment he pulled away. “You can go now.” You huffed angrily and stood up, making your way to the toilets. Everyone else would have used this as a chance to escape, but not you. You weren’t dumb enough to make the same mistake twice. Not after seeing how many lifes he had taken just to find you again... You sighed softly, remembering the times when you had been in love with him, the times were you had thought of him as the perfect boyfriend. But these times were sadly long gone. You relished in the feeling of being alone even if it just was for a few minutes. But sadly you knew that you couldn’t enjoy it too long or else Chrollo would come looking for you. And that was the last thing you wanted! So after you were done, you quickly hurried back, not wanting to make him worry. But somehow you managed to slip on the floor and a short yelp escaped your lips.
You closed your eyes and prepared to greet the floor, but nothing came. Instead you felt something wrapping around your waist. In the first moment you thought it was Chrollo, but when you turned around you were met with an unfamiliar young man. ‘‘Are you alright?’‘, he asked you with a worried expression on his face. ‘‘Thanks to you, I am.’‘, you replied with a grateful smile. The man scratched his neck sheepishly and mumbled:’‘I only did what everyone else would have done when he would have seen a pretty girl like you tripping.’‘ A small blush made it’s way on your face. That guy reminded you a bit of Chrollo when he had been pretending to be just a normal guy. That was probably the reason why you couldn’t help, but look dreamingly at this man. But you came quickly back to reality when you felt a strong arm around your waist and you were pulled against a well build body. ‘‘(y/n), who’s that?’‘ Oh no!
You slowly turned around to look at Chrollo, who was holding you possessively. ‘‘I-I-umm’‘ You didn’t know what to say, unable to form words in shock. ‘‘Is she your girlfriend? Don’t worry, I wasn’t planning to try to make a move on her. I just helped her because she was about to fall on the floor.’‘, the young man tried to calm Chrollo down. You looked at the man. He was so naive just like you were once. ‘‘Is that so?’‘, Chrollo asked with a soothing voice that could have fooled everyone. Only you were able to hear the barely audible dark undertone in it. That’s when you noticed the book he was holding in his hands. The book that had helped him to kill already enough people. You started to panick and glanced at the young man who was still standing there and gave Chrollo a curious look. You wanted to scream at him to run, but that would be useless against Chrollo. ‘‘Start thinking!’‘, you scolded yourself mentally. This man barely looked older than 25 which meant he hadn’t even lived his life yet! Flashbacks came back to you, flashbacks which hunted you until this day in your deepest dreams. All the painful cries, the pleading, screaming and blood. Nothing had proved useful against Chrollo and the troupe. They had killed merciless everyone back then who had helped you to escape in some way. And it had been all your fault. And you had sworn to yourself that that would never happen again. No one should ever die again because of you. Suddenly an idea popped up in your head. The idea didn’t please you at all, but it was a chance to save this man! ‘‘Chrollo...’‘, you called him and tugged on his suit. He turned his gaze away from the man and looked questiongly at you. You gulped the lump in your throat back. It was better to just get it over fastly.
So you quickly slammed your lips against his, hoping it would please him enough to let this man live. For a short second shock was visible on Chrollo’s face. He surely hadn’t expected this, but only moments after you felt him smirking against your lips. He quickly pulled you closer to him so that your bodies were pressed against each other. It was a very heated up kiss and from the corner of your eyes you could notice how everyone was looking at the both of you. Some looked embaressed, some looked disgusted, some jealous and some amused. You felt very embaressed yourself, but you endured for the sake of the boy. After at least a whole minute Chrollo pulled away, having a satisfied expression on his face. You on the other hand were a panting mess and your face was flushed. ‘‘Let’s go now (y/n). I already payed.’‘, Chrollo said with a charming smile and took your hand firmly in his. You hadn’t enough air in your lungs to answer so you just nodded. You had reached your goal, judging from the pleased look on his face. Chrollo quickly dragged you out of the small shop. For a few minutes both of you walked hand in hand in silence. ‘‘(y/n)?’‘, Chrollo suddenly asked. By now you had enough oxygen to answer him again. ‘‘Yes?’’, you asked him hesitantly. ‘‘The next time someone touches you, I’ll chop their hands off!’’

Adultrio domestic headcanons, please?
This is so cute 😆
Thanks for the request and I hope you'll like it! 🙇
A/N: I don’t know why I found this so hard to write :/ But I hope it’s good enough.
Chrollo
so, remember the fact that if Chrollo doesn’t have any Troupe business and is somewhat nearby, he comes to your place instead of going to a hotel or anything like that
he always brings something back to your place, whether its food or clothes or whatever he knows you might like or use
best thing ever is when you know he comes home to you and you prepare a warm bath for him to relax
after the first time you do it, Chrollo discovers that he also wants to do it for you when he’s at home and you have to leave and come back later, tired and sore
the house is pretty much spotless, save for Chrollo’s multitude of books
in his defence, it’s not his fault that he finds a lot of them interesting and your shelves are full
you both take turns when not in the mood to cook and ordering takeout
mostly because you’re both used to knowing what the other likes
and if there’s any change, you tell each other
you both put aside an hour or two to just talk
no books, no phones, laptops, anything
unless you wanna show each other something on them
you just talk about what you’ve been doing, how you’re feeling...
it’s very therapeutic for the both of you and it’s a chance to actually spend some time together with nothing else to distract you
you often find yourselves staying up until late, drinking tea and reading or watching some TV
Hisoka
idiot
Hisoka is the child
imagine going shopping for groceries, just for a moment
he’s in the shopping cart, hollering for you to go faster when there’s a long aisle
no, he doesn’t care if there are other people there or if everyone’s staring at the two of you
you usually get a bag of something and just throw it at his face, making him shut up
also, he buys so many unnecessary things
and sweets
if he knows you can’t or won’t pay, he pays for everything - your groceries included
he lets you carry everything for a while, teasing you about your strength, before he takes everything in his arms and carries them himself
the villain who likes to pretend he’s the hero sometimes
the house is usually a mess
Hisoka doesn’t really like doing chores, especially if you ask him
that is until you get mad at him and refuse to give him any sort of attention
then he’s pretty much like a kicked puppy
cleans the entire house and then just comes to you to tell you that, hugging you tightly and apologising (he really is, even if it sounds like teasing)
you often both just stay and binge watch entire series while eating and commenting over everything
Hisoka can make some pretty mean, but funny jokes at the expense of the characters’ choices and way of acting
he is honestly more entertaining than what’s on TV
Illumi
the butlers do everything
okay, that’s only in case you live at the estate
if you don’t, and even if you don’t live together at all
Illumi has developed a few things that both of you can consider domestic
if he knows you like something in particular, like a certain brand of body wash, let’s say, or something to eat, he’s stocking you up
there’s always space for him to put his things when he come to stay over for a few days
his hair and body products take up the most space, but you somehow make it work
whenever Illumi wants to spend more time with you and decides to go grocery shopping with you, it’s all very quick and efficient
he likes to know what you usually buy so he can buy for you when you don’t have time
he’s really come to love doing laundry with you
mostly because when you were doing this and he hugged you from behind, he could smell that really nice scent that reminded him of you throughout the entire room
and he insisted on learning how to do it so he could do it when you weren’t home and missed you
maybe it’s beneath him, but when Illumi sees even the slightest mess in your house, he’s going to clean it
he’s so used to everything being organised that he feels weird if there’s anything amiss
so don’t be scared when you find the house shining and everything in order
at least you’ll know that it wasn’t a robber who loves cleaning

Tattooed-Uvogin
-part 2-
Tumblr media
(Y/n) locked her apartment doors lock and slid down the wooden surface. She couldn't believe it, she just couldn't. She was found out and now she was going to die.
Tears streamed down her cheeks as the female's chest rapidly rose and fell. Her hyperventilating prevented her from pulling out her phone to text her parents, she was lucky she did it when she first got in the car.
Hiccups and sniffles resonated throughout the entire room, the sound suffocating. Sudden buzzing pulled her out of her anxiety attack.
(Y/n) sniffed and whipped her face with her jackets sleeves. Composing herself she pulled out the device and swiped it. "Hey mom."
"Did you get home okay?" The static form the silence was filled with her sweet, calming voice.
"Yeah, I just shut my door. Did you guys have fun?"
"Yes we did, the concert was pretty good. The building was really crowded though. Anyway are you okay? Have you been crying? What happened?"
"Oh no, no, no. I'm fine don't worry." (Y/n) replied back, finally building enough courage to stand up as walk to her couch.
"Was the place crowded? I know how you act when you're in a crowded place."
"It was, there was a lot of people. I'm just kind of relieved to be back home." The female sighed just to rub her temple to stop her shaking voice. "I'm not the best when it comes to crowds."
"I know I know." There was a pause, the silence becoming deafening for both parties. "We're really sorry you had to grow up like this. We wish we would have done something different." Whined Martha, her voice delicate, as if her daughter was a wilting flower. In that case she wasn't wrong.
"No, no, no, momma don't say things like that! You guys did as much as you could! It's none of your guys' fault that I got a tattoo! I'm grateful I have parents like you two. I wouldn't trade y'all for the world." Tears decided to return, toppling down her cheeks and onto the armrest of the couch. "I love you and dad so much, nothing would change that."
Sniffing could be heard on the other side. "I know, we love you too. I'm going to let you go alright, stay safe and good night."
"Good night, love you."
"Love you too, ba-bye."
There was a click of the ending call, then suffocating silence. Once again wiping away her tears (y/n) sniffled and walked over to her kitchen counter for a snack. Bringing her breathing to a calmer speed, the female slowly ate on the couch.
Loud, sudden banging rattled the doorframe of the front of her apartment. Who would that be? Jessy? No, couldn't be, she passed out the moment her head hit her couch.
(Y/n) was alone, stuck in her dark apartment with nothing but her snacks and a knife in the kitchen. Though the loud banging didn't stop, and the manly voice from the other side brought a sheet of cold sweat to form on the female's face. "(Y/n), we know you're in there. If you just walk out we'll promise to be gentle."
The anxiety found itself back into her head, who are they? Why are they here?
The man hit the door more vigorously. "Do you know how big of a price tag is on your back? The soulmate of a Phantom Troupe member would pay a pretty Jenny, enough to live like kings for the rest of our lives."
Another voice presented itself, younger, softer, a woman maybe. "Just let us in, then nothing will hurt you."
Quietly placing down her snack, (y/n) slowly stood from the couch and moved in the direction of her room. Quiet whispers were heard from outside, the loud banging a of their fists coming to an abrupt stop. "Fine, but don't blame us when your blood stains the carpet."
Gun shots exploded through the door knob, splashing splinters into the air like sparks. With a rough kick the owner of the first voice burst through the door and dashed to the female.
(Y/n) whipped around to run but a rough hand tightly gripped her wrist and shoved her to the ground. Her left shoulder smashed against the tile, earning a groan from the female. Four more people entered the, three guys and a girl, each decorated with large guns and sharp knives.
The man that shoved her to the ground straddled (y/n)'s waist, his thighs practically crushing her body. His hands shoved hers above her head, his long blonde hair tickling her face as he leaned down. The blonde's sadistic grin brought tears to the corners of her eyes.
"L-let me go!" Screeched the frightened girl, thrashing and writhing underneath his heavy body.
"No can do," Chimmed the one girl, her brown hair being pushed to the side. "Like we said, you cost a pretty Jenny." She turned her attention to the other men. "Should we try the mafia? We might get a better deal."
"I'd say we should, besides they don't really like the Troupe." Replied a black haired man, his body standing in front of the door with his arms crossed over his chest.
"Yeah, probably. Trevor, tie her up we're leaving." Spoke the girl, lifting up her gun to examine it with a sense of pride. Her face was smug, her pink lips curled in a successful smile.
Though her lips quickly turned slack, her eyes wide as a thin line of red blood formed on her porcelain neck. Her sapphire eyes rolling to the back of her head and the brown hair falling to the floor. Her head following after.
Noticing everyone's shock, (y/n) took the opportunity to shove the blonde off of her and dashed to her bedroom, locking the door behind her. Screams and gun shots were fired, though (y/n) had no intention of seeing what was beyond the door.
A loud voice laughed throughout the entire onslaught, as if he was having fun killing those hunters. The slaughter paused, voices conversing  behind the door she was propped against.
She needed to get out of here. She needed to run before whoever was beyond the door busted it open. Scrambling up from the carpeted bedroom floor, (y/n) scurried over to the small window to try and open it up.
Everything froze when a hefty knock echoed through the building. "Hey, babe, you can open the door now. You're safe."
The voice beyond the door was gruff, deep, yet smooth and slightly drawn out. Sultry in its own fashion, like dark chocolate, smooth and bitter with a slight hint of sweetness. Whoever that voice belonged to must have been a criminal, (y/n) knew such, and that fact was the only reason her door remained locked.
A few quiet exchanges were given, (y/n) not even bothering to listen as her window finally cracked open. Another voice resonated through the door, a familiar one. "(Y/n), it's Pakunoda, the hunters are gone, you're safe now."
Another breath caught itself in the terrified female's throat, why was she so surprised? She didn't understand, in her mind everyone was a possible threat so why did Paku's voice scare her? "You're part of the Phantom Troupe? Wh-why didn't you say anything? Tell me?" Her voice didn't seem normal, cracking under the anxiety the situation brought.
Pakunoda sighed just to lean in closer and explain why. Something along the lines of 'You would have run away' and 'I know you're afraid, but you really don't have to be'. She was trying to sympathize with (y/n), trying to lure her in to make her open the door.
But she wouldn't fall for it, she couldn't fall for it.
So she ran, down the rickety steps until rough concrete greeted her bare feet. Right when her feet hit the ground, a loud, almost deafening boom reverberated from above. Rubble scattered through the air, dust and pebbles littered the ground like hail.
She was afraid, so terribly afraid when an entertained laugh echoed from above. It must have been from the same deep voice as before, the one that called her babe. Like hell she was going to look up, like hell she was going to freeze and let him catch up. Like hell.
Weight and darkness flooded (y/n)'s vision, what happened? A large hand and arm wrapped itself tightly around her waist, the owners entire body hovering over her hunched form. The man's face buried into her neck, tickling her with his warm breath.
'How did he get to me so quickly?!'
It struck her, her face in the direction of the crumpled ground beneath them. 'Did he jump? How?! I was on the fifth story of the building!'
"Hey, babe." She could feel the grin on his face, earning rapid breathing. Maybe if they were under different circumstances the intimate position might have been romantic. Just maybe.
But now was different. Instead the female was trembling in raw fear. Her voice caught so far into her throat she might have thrown up if she tried to speak. What was he going to do to her? Kill her, kidnap her, something worse?
The man's hair tickled (y/n)'s neck, a long dark grey mass of fluff on the side of her vision. The man laughed, his large arm lifting her up like a feather as he rose from the ground. Being tugged into his embrace like a kitten was strange, and her newfound height was astonishing.
How tall was this guy? How was he so strong?
The man, (y/n) could only guess was her soulmate due to her nickname, held her up with one arm with their chest and back flush against each other. She felt like a rag doll being held like this.
(Y/n)'s mind finally decided to work again, now thrashing and kicking and scratching for freedom she somehow knew she wouldn't get. "L-let me go! Please!"
Seeing his soulmate writhe in his arms like this... was oddly exhilarating. Knowing she was afraid seemed funny to Uvogin, he wasn't going to hurt her. Though if she didn't know nen then it would make sense as to why she thought that. Still, he couldn't really keep from laughing, he was too excited to find his soulmate.
Well, he had to check didn't he? Uvogin maneuvered her body in his arms, now holding her with an arm and his side. His other hand pulled the back of her shirt up, her legs kicking in protest.
"Wha-Put me down!" She yelped, trying to grab her shirt to pull it back down.
Uvo laughed again, this time calmly with his chest vibrating. There it was, the same tattoo on his lower back. On her soft (s/c) flesh it fit perfectly.
He put it down and tore her right sleeve off, revealing her own tattoo. Both were the same, a perfect blend of calm and storm.
From above, a voice, slightly annoyed and irritated brought him back to reality. "Oi! Uvo! Is that (y/n)?!"
Uvogin gave a classic, goofy cheshire grin. "Ask her yourself, Nobu!" Once more he dragged her around like a doll, this time both his hands gripping her waist to show her to the world, or more specifically Nodunaga.
After rolling his eyes, an expecting look was given to the beyond frightened girl. She nodded, not exactly caring about if they knew her name at the moment.
Nobunaga cackled, smacking his hand on the iron railing of the fire shoot. (Y/n) being curled up in her soulmate's grip must have been funny. "She IS cute. Paku look at her, she's adorable!"
The blonde revealed herself, a new package of a snack in her hands. Apparently (y/n) wasn't the only one with the midnight munchies. Paku handed a piece to the dark haired man beside her. "Told you." She retorted.
Uvogin pulled her to his chest, snuggling to the (h/c) haired girl in his arms, face buried into her neck. "You're adorable." He muttered.
Voice caught in her throat, she didn't speak. The only sign of her uncomfortableness was the deep red blush upon her cheeks and the small yelps she would make.
"Hey, the cops are coming! Let's go ahead and get out of here!" Nodunaga yelled from above, clearly not bothered by his friends affection.
"Eh? Fine, fine, let's go." The bear like man pulled his soulmate close—bridal style—and threw himself into the air in the direction of god knows where.
(Y/n) yelped at the sudden jump, flight? More like flight she thought. Her stomach churned, probably from the alcohol, the lack of food, and the rushed movements. God she didn't feel too good.
Pakunoda and Nodunaga stopped on the roof of a building, one directly across from a fairly nice hotel. Uvogin paused and allowed (y/n) to sink from his grip onto the concrete below. She dry heaved, not exactly having enough bile to rise from her throat. "Oh god that was horrible." She whined to herself, not thinking about the people next to her.
Nodu snickered and Uvo laughed, it was funny how she wasn't used to this. They had forgotten what it was like to be normal.
Uvogin kneeled down, still laughing, and placed a hand upon the girl's shoulder. "You'll be fine."
She turned and gave him a look. One akin to a mother scolding a child, a 'bite me' type look.
The bear like man laughed again, shrugging his shoulders. "What?" His childish grin had returned and almost mocked the shorter girl.
"This isn't exactly what I expected from a first date." (Y/n) snapped, still kneeling on the ground.
From the side Nobunaga finally burst, tears streaming down his cheeks at the two in front of him. His laughing was contagious, light, but still not helping the situation (y/n) was in. "Uvo she's perfect for you!"
"Yeah she is." He smiled and patted her head, clearly not bothered by her snapping attitude.
"Uvo," Paku started, hopping onto the roof. Did she leave? When? "I got a room for the two of you; she probably won't want to sleep in the cathedral." She handed him a card.
"Thanks Paku." Uvogin replied, standing to his full height and dragging (y/n) to stand as well.
She stared at the man, how the fuck is he human? He's HUGE. This was the first time she was actually able to take in his features. Dark grey hair splayed around his face, afro style, yet more like a lion's mane. His features were sharp and strong, side burns framing his strong features.
Eyes burned with determination and ferocity. Rippling muscles complemented his unnatural height, both inhuman. His white tank top, black shorts and furs around his shoulders and waist stuck to body. In Uvogin's own right, he was handsome.
Speaking of Uvogin, his eyes met hers, his grin stretching a bit. "Like what you see?" The man teased.
Oh god, why did she look at him? A dark red blush swept across her features, her voice once again caught in her throat. "You're subpar at best." She needed to shut up or else they would probably kill her, curse her bad habits.
It was now Paku's turn to snicker. "She's brutal... anyway, (y/n), your parents work in the Harthhold Museum correct? As security managers."
(Y/n) paused, a fearful glance in the direction of the blonde. Quickly her fearful looked turned to hostility. No one would threaten the people who tried so hard to keep her safe—no one. "What do you want?" The female snapped.
"We just want to know the hunters your parents hired for the new exhibit. You helped them with their work correct?"
"Why should I tell you?"
Paku thought for a moment, taking a quick glance at the two near her, as if telling them to follow along. "If we have to force the information out of you we won't let you warn Martha and Edgar."
There was a moment of silence, she was jesting, she had to be jesting. "What are you planning?" (Y/n) asked, she just couldn't help but ask.
"We can't tell you. So... who are the hunters." Pakunoda pushed.
(Y/n) took a deep breath and sighed. She explained the hunters, every single one by name, face, and where they would be stationed during the opening.
Paku listened, hand on her hip as her eyes bore into (y/n)'s skull. "Good, we'll tell Shal to look them up." She body turned away and pulled out a phone. "Hey Nobu and I are heading back, we've got the information about the hunters."
"Yes."
"Alright, see soon." Pakunoda ended the call, turning back to the fore mentioned and waving her hand. "Let's go, it's late and I'm tired."
The black haired man tapped the end of his sword and nodded. "Sure, see you later Uvo!"
And they were off, gone into the night to leave the soulmates alone. The female slightly trembled, due to the crisp night air or the man beside her, she didn't know. His hand placed itself upon her shoulder, completely dwarfing her in size. "How about we go to our room, huh?"
She could feel his grin, bringing back the terror she had felt the first time they met.
Uvogin wrapped her in his arms, again with the bridal style, and jumped off the building. He soaked in the sound of her surprise, music to his ears. They entered the hotel and ignored everyone looking at them, just to get to their room as fast as possible.
When they made it, he almost didn't open the door. He almost busted through there just to roughly shut it and toss (y/n) onto the large bed. He shuffled over to her, crawling on top to smother her with affection.
Uvo buried his face into her neck, taking a deep breath and soaking in her noises and sent. She smelled sweet, a slight hint of alcohol lingering on her skin. The girl peeped, taking her hands to push the man off of her. To him it did nothing, only letting him indulge with the contact of her small hands on his large chest.
He chuckled and used a hand to pet her soft (h/c) hair. Uvogin left some sloppy kisses along her neck, a mewl escaping her lips when he found a certain soft spot. The bear like man chuckled and lifted himself up to stare down and loose himself in her (e/c) eyes.
"God you're adorable."
(Y/n) stuttered, not being able to create words to help her comprehend what was happening. What should she say? What should she do? She didn't want to go this far! Was he trying to go that far?
"W-wa-wait. W-wait, I don't want this... please don't do this!" Tears started to form in the corners of her eyes.
"Huh?" Uvogin raises an eyebrow to lift himself up a bit more. "What? No, no I wouldn't do that to you!" He used his hand and moved it to her cheeks to wipe away the forming tears. "I wouldn't do that, I love you." He have a gentle smile to try and calm her down.
It worked, a little bit. Just enough to keep her grounded a bit more. (Y/n) sighed, a shaky sigh only akin to relief. "C-can I talk-talk you my parents?"
Uvogin sighed and sat up on the bed, his legs hanging off the side of the bed. "Sure, just watch what you say." He lifted her phone to wave it in her face.
(Y/n) tried to take it with a shaky hand, but the man had other ideas, grabbing her hand and pulling her into his lap just to cuddle with him. He buried his head into her neck just to breath her in again.
Hesitantly—fearfully—she took the phone and dialed her father's number. It ran, low and deep into the quiet room. (Y/n) took a deep breath as Edgar answered.
"Hey, what's up?" He asked, the clear groggy voice hinting at him just being woken up.
(Y/n) furrowed her brows and gave a relieved sigh, how was she supposed to react? "Nothing much, I just wanted to talk about-about the museum exhibit thing."
"(Y/n) that thing is in a few days, what's gotten into you." The man on the other side of the phone laughed to himself. "Oh, sorry... I just woke your mom up." He sheepishly admitted.
The daughter smiled gently, she truly couldn't have asked for better parents. "That's fine, it's actually about you two. Can you guys not go to the exhibit? Please?"
Edgar gave a questioning 'huh' before flipping the phone to speaker, allowing his wife to talk and listen too. "Why?"
"Well, just trust me... okay? Please?"
There was silence, and (y/n) almost thought they could hear the quiet purrs from her captor as he nuzzled into her neck. Though it seemed they didn't. "Why? (Y/n) why?"
"Just trust me okay? Love you." Without allowing them to say anything back, she turned off the phone. Letting her hands fall to her lap she didn't even try to stop Uvogin from taking the device and crushing it in his grip.
The phone fell, the last bit of hope following.
Uvogin hummed onto her ear, pulling her closer into his chest as he fell onto the bed. An exaggerated sigh left his lips. "I'm so relieved we found you first."
His large arms encircled her much smaller being. (Y/n) leaned in, soaking in his warmth as he radiates heat.
If (y/n) learned anything from the torturous tattoo, it was to make the best of any situation. She would have to try really hard for that, but did (y/n) really have a choice? No, she couldn't escape something like this—someone like him.
Uvogin would make sure of that.

Summary:  Casey is the head of the local Neighborhood Watch (and by head, he means only employee) Whenever not helping his best friend take down corrupted, evil jerkbutts, he spends his time running, maintaining and helping the magical/supernatural residents of Willow's Brook. Life is never static but Casey sometimes wishes it was a little less hectic. Just because he can handle it doesn't mean he wants to.
-----
Willow Rook was a peaceful neighborhood suburb located on the outskirts of Newton Haven, just within the city’s boundaries. Rows of mismatched houses and apartments spread out across the maddening maze that was suburbia. Fernspeaker Drift park was nestled in the heart of the neighborhood, its magical and mundane flora bringing a peaceful harmonic nature to the urban sprawl of man. The towering skyscrapers of downtown could be seen far into the distance, a reminder to the residents the city was never too far away.
The sounds of children screaming and shouting is what awoke Casey. He let out an unhappy groan as he rose from the hard wooden desk he accidentally fell asleep on. He rubbed his aching jaw, trying to loosen it from the rough night he had.
“Fuck” He yawned groggily “I really need to have a pillow here or something.”
He ran his hand through his normally wavy dark brown hair as his sea green eyes glanced about his “office”.
Office was much too generous a word for what he worked out of: It was tiny bungalow with barely enough room for a desk and chair, a case file drawer and the tv that sat ontop of it. Casey mentally prepared himself as he pulled open the curtains and allowed natural light to hit his face.
“Ugggggggh” Casey shielded his eyes from the harsh gleam of the morning “Why must the sun punish me?”
Casey stretched the crick in his neck while keeping an eye on the outside world: The neighborhood was particularly lively today with people out and about. The elderly elf Mr. Thistlebush was complaining about something or another to his dwarfish neighbor Mrs. Boulderfist who politely nodded and humored the old elf. Evan Starsunder, a muscular orc with dark green skin, tipped his mail cap tiredly to everyone he passed as he made his way into his cozy abode for a well earned rest. The newly married halfing (similiar but legally distinct from hobbits) couple Mr. and Mrs. Tealeaf took a stroll across the grassy field where Casey’s office stood, hand in hand and very much the picturesque ideal of young love.
Casey opened the window to let everyone know he was open for business.
“Good morning Mister Remington!” Mr. Tealeaf waved with a smile.
“How are you doing this morning?” Mrs. Tealeaf asked, half curious and half cheerfully.
“Great!” Casey lied, trying to stifle a yawn “Just great. Keeping on eye on the neighborhood, same as usual.”
“Keep up the good work!”
“We appreciate everything you do for all of us!”
“You’re welcome!” he gave a halfhearted wave after the retreating couple.
He sighed, mindlessly fiddling with the engagement ring on his finger.
“I should take it off” Casey spoke to no one in particular “She probably isn’t wearing hers anymore. I shouldn’t give people the wrong idea. I should just take it off and that’ll be it. That’ll be it. Yep. One slip and….yeah.”
His voice trailed off as he was unable to finish the thought.
“CASE!” A voice shouted.
Casey leaned out and squinted, trying to see through the glare of the sunlight to find the person who demanded his attention.
“CASE!” The voice called out again, the blurry far off figure slowly shifting into a more recognizable shape.
Casey rolled his eyes “What is it Kay? I’m working!”
Kasey Remington or, as most people called her, Kay was Casey’s twin sister. Nearly identical face with the same wavy dark brown hair and sea green eyes except Kay had gotten their mother’s button nose out of the deal. Growing up, the twins often questioned why their parents had named them Casey with a C and Kasey with the K but the only response they ever gave was it was funny.
Well not to the twins but they were used to it by now.
Kasey, in her mommy cardigan and white blouse, flagged down her brother to come outside.
“Yeah I’m good up here.” Casey smiled from his slightly elevated position.
“You’re tall for like 5 minutes and you’re already being unbearable about it.” Kasey huffed, shooting her twin a stink eye.
Casey chuckled “Mad with power. Classic story troupes.”
“Cliche you mean.” Kasey laughed “Sorry to bother you but….did you sleep in your office again?”
Casey rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly as he realized he was still wearing his purple tank top and black basketball shorts from the other day.
“Umm well you see….”
“Is your office still a mess?”
Casey glanced at the half crumpled burger wrappers and scattered papers that littered every inch of desk.
“Pfft, no.”
“Thats a yes” Kasey replied with a knowing smirk “Case….”
Casey fiercely pointed at his twin “Don’t.”
“Case, you can’t keep…”
“Yes I can. Watch me.”
Kasey rolled her eyes “I have better things to do.”
Casey scrunched up his face with false hurt “Better than hanging out with your brother? Alright I see how it is. See if I get you anything for Christmas.”
“No! Not my possible Christmas presents!” Kasey fell to her knees dramatically “You monster! How could you do to this to me?”
“Like this.” Casey spoke with a grin, closing the window without another word.
And made his way out of the building a moment later. He offered a hand to his sister and the twins burst out with laughter as Casey helped Kasey to her feet.
“So what’s up Kay?” Casey asked with genuine interest “Where’s Chester?”
Kasey scratched her chin thoughtfully “He’s...got...a….little league game today.”
“Wooooow took you a full five seconds to remember what your kid’s up today.” Casey snickered “Finally stop signing him up for everything?”
“Ha flipping ha.” Kasey shook her head mockingly “It’s not my fault he wants to do any and everything. Besides it’s not the worst thing in the world to enable my son’s interests. I just wish he slowed down a bit.”
“True. Did you thank him for the house he made for me?”
“Yes and he said you’re welcome. Still got it?”
Casey scoffed as he pulled out his necklace: The simple shape of home clasped carefully onto his chain.
“As a cleric of the hearth nothing is more important than a family’s love.”
“Except” Kasey murmured softly “Maybe your fiancée?”
“Nope!” Casey threw his hands in the air and turned away from his sister “Not having this conversation. Byeeeee.”
“Case! Casey you’re acting like a child!”
“Would a child do this? Hey Seth!”
A gawky human teenager with dark black clothing and every skull accessory imaginable flinched uncomfortably at the sudden attention.
Casey nodded his head in confirmation “Yeah you! Curfew’s 2:30 A.M. The Hallow spell won’t work during the witching hour so I want you back here before 3. Got it?”
Seth gave a low mumble and wandered off as quickly as his legs could take him.
“Casey.” Kasey laced her voice with a firmness only a mother could muster.
“Whaaaaaat?” Casey whirled around irritated “Look I made my choice and she made hers and that’s it.”
Kasey raised an eyebrow “You two have been in love with each other since we were kids.”
“Don’t you…!”
“Case, why don’t you ask her again?”
Casey said nothing, opting to gesture to his office to answer his question. Written in bright white letters across the walls of the building were the words “Neighborhood Watch.”
Kasey rubbed her arm guiltily “Case…”
“You gonna take over?” Casey questioned, his voice soft but controlled “You gonna take over for mom? Cuz she retired and unless there’s someone running the watch, all of this...”
He motions to the families walking, playing, living their lives together in harmony. A magical community at peace.
“All this goes away. We’re going to have to move everyone into other magical neighborhoods and under their Neighborhood Watches. And that’s not fair to them.”
Kasey let out a sad sigh “It’s not fair to you.”
“I’m fine” Casey lied “I’m okay I promise. It’s for the best.”
Kasey shook her head “You can lie to yourself but you can’t lie to me. See you for dinner?”
Casey hugged his twin tightly, pouring as much love as he could into the gesture.
“Of course. I’ll bring fries.”
Kasey made a face, playfully pushing him away “Would you bring something else, please?”
“Fine, mashed potatoes.”
“Ugh. Bye Case.”
“Bye Kay!”
Kasey eyed the engagement ring for a moment before taking her leave.
Casey ran his hands through his hair, wondering how much worse today could get.
He turned to make his way back to his office when he spotted a familiar face nearby.
His heart began to thunder loudly in his ears, the phantom sensation of lips pressed against his own ran chills down his spine while his cheeks flushed a bright red. His legs felt weak and butterflies filled his stomach as he took in the sight of Jaime casually walking down the street.
Jaime looked as beautiful as ever: Her long dark red hair was tied into a single braid that hung over her shoulder and shimmered in the soft glow of the morning. Her light brown eyes gleamed with a thoughtfully gaze as she looked at her phone. She was wearing his dark purple hoodie with dark blue jeans and sneakers. Her glasses were cutely askew and Casey felt the overwhelming urge to run over and fix them for her.
The engagement ring on his finger felt impossibly heavy yet light all at once.
He should talk to her. That was okay, right? To talk to someone he’s in love with and desperately wanted to be with. Did she want to talk to him? They left on decent terms. Well maybe. Hopefully. God what if she was mad at him? Or worse, hated him? She could never hate him that was silly. But perhaps she wasn’t ready to speak to him.
He knew he wasn’t ready.
Casey turned to Jaime’s direction then pulled away. He pivoted on his feet to face her again before glancing downwards towards the grass. His hands fidgeted uneasily as a shout threatened to spill out of his mouth.
Casey returned quickly to his office and shut close the window. Resisting the urge to stare at Jaime, he opted instead to reach for a crumpled piece of paper. He smoothed it out and began mindlessly scrawling upon its surface, drawing nothing in particular.
It was comical how automatic Casey’s responses became while he worked in this building: Upon hearing the knock at his door, he rose to his feet and opened it without a second thought.
Casey’s heart leapt to his throat at the sight of Jaime standing at the base of the steps from the bungalow. She smiled shyly, pushing up her glasses further up on the bridge of nose before giving a friendly wave. Her other hand was tucked deeply in the hoodie’s pocket.
“Hey sweetie” Jaime paused, pursing her lips for a moment “Case. How are you Case? Doing good Case? Can I stop now?”
Casey let out a genuine laugh “Hey swe….Jaime. You can stop. I’m good. I’m good. Good.”
He caught sight of his engagement ring gleaming in the sunlight. He quickly shoved it inside his pocket.
“That’s good. That’s good.” Jaime nodded “I’m glad to hear that.”
Casey caught her wandering glance across the office and quickly shifted his weight to block the view.
“So how’s the new job?” He crossed his arms in an clumsy fashion “Everything okay at the Grimoire?”
Jaime dug at the grass with her shoe “It’s good. Chaotic as usual but hey what do you expect for a magical library, right?”
The two chuckled together and locked eyes for a moment. As one they broke off their gaze, their cheeks slowly turning a pinkish hue.
Casey recovered first “How’s your brother? We talk but ever since last month he hasn’t recruited me to topple any corrupt bosses lately. I’m getting bored.”
“You sure you bored?” Jaime rolled her eyes “There’s no way the Neighborhood Watch is getting that soft.” “Haha I wish.”
An awkward silence fell over the couple as the realization of what subject they landed on washed over them.
“Finn’s good. Busy but good.” Jaime spoke with a fragile softness in her voice “You know my bro, always trying to save the world.”
“Right...”
Casey couldn’t help but noticed Jaime’s body language: She tucked both of her hands into the pockets, her frame shrunk like she was mentally kicking herself as she gawkily fidgeted back and forth.
“Hey.”
Jaime glanced upwards towards Casey, her light brown eyes shining brightly in the sun’s glow.
Casey could feel his heart ache with love and longing as he spoke simply “Don’t worry about it beautiful.”
Jaime said nothing. Instead, she closed the distance between them, gently cupping his cheek in her hand.
“Take care of yourself sweetie. Please. For me?”
Casey could feel his ache worsen but he just nodded, murmuring softly “For you.”
Jaime’s smile was sad but lovely. She pulled away slowly, allowing her fingers to linger for a moment.
“Bye for now Casey.”
“Bye Jaime.”
She left without another word and Casey felt exhaustion rush into every fiber of his body. He closed the door reluctantly and took a seat. He stared unhappily at the drawing of Jaime he hadn’t realized he’d be sketching.
“Fucking hell.”
He slumped deeper into his chair, feeling much too drained to face the rest of the day.
-----
“Shit, shit, shit” Seth muttered to himself as he raced through the night. The normally inviting, homely suburb was cold and distant: The shadows moved in eerie unnatural ways and once or twice Seth could soft pattering of paws follow closely behind. The modest homes and apartments were silent, basked in the darkness as they towered over him in silence.
“Just a cat” He mumbled to himself, glancing at his phone and wincing at the 3:30 AM it showed in a white font.
Seth entered Willow Rook proper and paled at the lack of comfort he normally felt in the air. Casey had warned him the Hallow spell, a powerful ward of holy magic that protected the neighborhood and hid it away from the world, would not work between 3 and 4 AM. Seth assumed he was merely attempting to scare him to return early. It never occurred to him that Casey was telling the truth.
Seth fumed silently “It’s fine. I’m late, it’s fine nothing followed me here and it’s fine.”
A chill ran down his spine as something rustled nearby. He whirled around in time to see something lunge straight for his chest.
He was ashamed how quickly he flinched, closing his eyes shut while raise his hands in a poor attempt to defend himself. He made quick prayer to whatever deity who happened to be on duty at the moment.
Something thudded against his chest. It didn’t stay long, instead quickly making its way up his shirt and tucked itself comfortably on his shoulder. It wasn’t too heavy but it was big whatever it was. Seth was surprised how warm and fluffy it was and swore it was purring in his ear.
He cracked open his eyes and found himself staring at an orange tabby cat: it was a fat cat with stripes of white and orange running down its body. Its dark green eyes stared curiously at him. If he didn’t know better, he would’ve thought it was asking him a question.
“Hey buddy” Seth breathed a sigh of relief, scratching the cat’s chin “What are you doing out here? Scaring the shit out of me?”
The cat pawed at his face rather roughly and with enough force to actually make him turn his head.
Seth felt the blood drain as he saw something approach in the shifting shadows: A monstrous thing, thin and skeletal. Its skin was a dark shade, almost as black as the darkness it blended in with. It crawled forward slowly on all fours, thick talons digging up and cutting through the pavement with ease. A bloody wrap covered its eyes and two thick, elongated fangs protruded from its lower jaw. The rest of its face was smooth and featureless.
The words died in Seth’s throat. The best he could do was a pathetic croaking noise he was grateful no one could hear in the dead night.
The creature tilted its head as if listening for any sign of its prey.
Seth couldn’t move, the fear gripping him tightly in its thrall. His breathing hitched and he could feel his body shake beyond his control as the creature inched closer and closer.
The cat leapt off his shoulder, silently landing onto the grass and bolting into the night.
Seth’s stomach churned and twisted anxiously as the creature stared in his direction, a growling rumble escaping its mouth. It let loose a maddening shriek, one that shook Seth’s very bones. It stood on its hind legs and grew to an inhuman height. Its mouth lowered, stretching impossibly wide as it leapt forward.
Seth felt cold and empty as the sight of the monster filled his sight. The fight ebbed out of him and left only an overwhelming sense of dread and finality.
This is how it ended.
It was an odd sensation to feel at the end: the warmth and glow of the sun at his back. Perhaps some higher being was taking mercy on him in his last moments on this plane of existence.
Wait, no the warmth was getting brighter and hotter. An unbearably stuffy and blazing with an intensity of a summer day that grew each passing moment.
Seth groaned, wincing in pain as a sudden flash of light zoomed past with incredible speed. It burned brightly, dispelling the silhouetted shadows with a burning flame despite it being no bigger than a baseball.
The creature reared back and thrashed about, too caught off guard by the sudden glow to realize it was coming straight for it. The orb collided with the creature’s chest and sunk deeply into its chest. The creature howled and buckled in pain, bending and twisting at unnatural angles.
The light faded and the orb with it but Seth could see the fist sized hole it had burned through the chest of the creature.
The creature weakly swayed, seemingly weakened by whatever hit it.
“Not in my neighborhood you punkass bitch.”
Seth weakly turned to find Casey standing there, the fat orange tabby at his feet. The head of the Neighborhood Watch finally changed his clothes: He wore a purple jacket with a black shirt that read “Neighborhood Watch” in faded white lettering. His gray sweats were wrinkled and his feet were adorned with two different sneakers. Outstretched in his hand like he had taken a swing at something was a glowing metal baseball bat that pulsed with radiant power.
“Casey, I…” Seth mumbled out but Casey motioned with his head.
“Go home kid. This ain’t the minor leagues.”
Seth was ashamed to say he ran, frantically and as fast as his sore legs could take him. Whatever just attacked him was out of his weight class.
Luckily Casey was in a league of his own.
The creature clicked its tongue unhappily as it moved uneasily on its hind legs. It bent and twisted its neck in a way that would’ve broken it if the creature had been human.
Casey rolled his eyes as he gripped the bat tightly in his hand “Drama queen much, aren’t you?
The creature said nothing. Instead it threw itself forward full force towards the cleric.
“Here we go.” Casey murmured tiredly as he drew his bat back.
The creature took a swipe at him but Casey already moved out of the way, dodging to the side and allowing the creature sail past him. It twisted its head around only to get a face full of metal: Casey’s swing caught the creature in the cheek and sent it reeling backwards.
The creature shrieked in pain as smoke curled off its face, the cheek swollen and charred an ashy black. It didn’t hesitate to attack once more: It stood up and tried to crush Casey under its full weight.
Casey just shoved the bat directly into the hole he made earlier.
The creature hissed and retreated away from the holy infused weapon. More smoke bellowed from the now enlarged hole.
Casey raised his bat threateningly “Go back to wherever the hell you came from or I will beat you out of existence you flipping abomination.”
If the creature understood the threat, it made no indication. Instead it doubled down on its poor choices.
It sat back on the balls of its feet, tensing its legs in preparation for a mighty leap.
Between helping the inhabitants of the neighborhood with their requests, talking to Jaime and frankly being awoken to a fucking demon attack at 3 am, Casey was just done with all yesterday and evidently today.
Casey’s hand glowed with a dazzling radiant light as he spokes the words of faith. Magic formed and condensed into a single ball of pure sun in his palm.
The creature sprinted forward, tearing up the grass underneath its feet while it desperately made one final dash towards the cleric.
Casey lobbed the ball high in the air and fell into a batter’s stance.
The orb hung in the air for a moment like a blazing sun then fell back to earth.
The creature leapt, talons aimed for Casey’s neck.
Casey let out a mighty swing. There was a loud crack as the bat made contact with the orb. The ball of light sped off and shoved itself down the creature’s throat. The bat follow through connected with the head of the creature and knocked it cleaned off.
The ball gleamed bright in the beast’s stomach before exploding outward like a supernova. The creature flaked away into blacken ash, head and all.
The gleam of light vanished and Casey found himself under the cover of night once more.
He wiped at his eyes tiredly as his phone beeped. He glanced at it to see it was now 4 in the morning.
There was a soft hum as the Hallow reactivated: the air shimmered with an unseen power and grew warm with comfort.
The ashes vanished without warning, the unholy remains cleansed by the sanctity of the neighborhood.
The cat drew closer to Casey, its eyes peering at him thoughtfully.
“Hey Julius” Casey greeted the cat politely “Long night?”
Orange Julius meowed in response.
“Thanks for keeping an eye on him. I knew he’d stay out late but hopefully he understands why we have a rather generous curfew.”
Orange Julius nodded.
“That’s been like what? The third demonic hell beast/ abomination this month. That’s a lot for a month.”
Orange Julius meowed in agreement.
Casey pursed his lips thoughtfully “Hey, did you see Finn?”
The cat tilted his head quizzically.
“I mean all this time you. He. Well you aren’t around whenever he comes by” Casey scratched his neck sheepish “You are his dad’s cat. You sure Fernspeaker wouldn’t want you to be with him?”
The cat paused for a moment before shaking his head.
“It’s not because Jaime’s folks adopted him after…..well that happened, is it?”
The cat pawed the grass below him.
“Right.” Casey nodded in understanding “Neighborhood’s your responsibility. I get that.”
Orange Julius meowed then vanished into the darkness.
Casey glanced at the statue of Fernspeaker that stood tall in the center of park. It had been erected the same time the park was named after him, both shortly after his and his wife’s death 22 years ago.
Fernspeaker Drift, Finnrick’s biological father, was once a powerful druid, deeply in tune with nature and a firm believer in helping others. This neighborhood was his passion project. The Neighborhood Watch was formed after his passing.
The Neighborhood Watch was created because of his passing. Nobody wanted a repeat of what happened all those years ago.
Finnrick told him it was okay for Casey to not to take the job but it felt like such a disrespect to let this whole place dissolve and scatter its residents.
Casey sighed and wandered back to his office. Office hours were closed but the Neighborhood Watch’s job was never done.

Flying rocks and kisses
Trying to gain inspiration through power outages, and got prompted for a Suyin request, which I’m actually pretty excited about, gives me a bit of a challenge now. Since they didn’t choose which prompt, I’ll start with 3, and I’ll just play around with a few different people. While, I’m a le $ bean, I’m open to also writing for my boys- so you can request anyone, not just the lovely ladies of ALTA and LOK (but lets be real, they’re the important ones and deserve more love). Here goes nothing, let me know what you think, and hope you enjoy!!
Prompt #3: “Shit, watch out!” She screamed as a large boulder was flying at her crush at an extremely fast pace, fast enough all she could do was jump in front of it, and prepare for the sudden pain.
Word count: 2,973
Requestor: @Helplesslesbean

Having grown up in the lovely city of Zafou for all my life, and following the guards around the city has made me grown accustomed to all the ins and outs of the city and especially the large mansion which resides my personal favorite human, Suyin Beifong. Granted yes, she is the same age as my parents, and I should definitely not be major crushing on her, but I mean… How can you not? Look at her, she’s the fiercest woman I know and would do anything for her family and she made this entire city from nothing, and she’s a Beifong! Her mother literally invented metal bending, which is our entire city. She also started a dance troupe and has worked countless of tiresome hours to perfect her dancers for their plays. I go to every performance and practice.
Speaking of the lovely, perfectionist of a woman, I sat outside helping Kuvira, Suyin’s adoptive daughter practice her dance routine since I’m always at the practices, Kuvira has me help her practice, because like mother, like daughter, she’s also a perfectionist. Something about being abandoned as a child… As we were going over how to jump from the bottom to the top to interlock her ankle with Lucy’s, Su walked up and instantly I started getting nervous, and Kuvira knows my little secret, but finds it weird and childish. Which is probably is, but I ignore her, and keep my little crush on the matriarch to myself.
“Aww, wonderfully done Kuvira and (y/n)!! That was performed beautifully! I should create a routine without metal bending, so you can participate (y/n)! You’d be such a lovely dancer, might even steal the show!” Su exclaimed in joy while walking up to the two of us, with my pale complexion becoming as red at the Fire Nation.
“It could’ve been better. Again.” Kuvira said while getting back to the starting position. I just sighed, we’ve been going at this all morning. Usually Su would come by earlier on to watch the practice, but with the Avatar being in town, she’s been preoccupied , which works out for you, since every time she watches you, you get nervous and mess up, and especially when Kuvira trains with you, that usually has you ending on your ass, with a lot of bruises. Kuvira isn’t easy-going, and will use your crush on Su to her full advantage.
“Oh, Kuvira, you need to learn to take a break, it looks like (y/n) could use one, here have some water.” Su said while pushing Kuvira back down with a water bottle that she brought up. She then handed me one, and I quickly grabbed it, trying to ignore the slight spark of electricity that went off between our fingers when the brushed each other, and quickly downed half the bottle in one go.
“Wow, you must be thirsty (y/n), I can get you another if you’d like.” Su said, which made you choke on the second half of the bottle, and had you sputtering out that you were okay. Kuvira just scoffed and pushed Su out of the way to go over the form again, she didn’t think it was strong enough. You got back up and started to practice again, ignoring Su’s lingering eyes on you. You kept up with the routine, and eventually Su had to attend to some other things around the city.
—-
After you finished up, you got cleaned up and ready for bed.You were brushing your teeth when you heard a knock on the door. Confused because Kuvira has a strict sleep schedule that is not to be interupted, and that even means as soon as it’s after dinner, you never hear from her. You finished wiping your mouth and opened your door. Standing there was Su in her long, luxurious emerald green gown with her metal plates and you could smell her fresh perfume she always wore to bed and light green slippers.
“Su? How can I help you?” You ask, while trying to keep your blush down, or at least not blistering red. You were also trying to ignore the fact that while normal people who don’t crush on others twice their age, they also don’t wear just a large t shirt to bed, with NOTHING underneath.
“(Y/N), I just wanted to check in with you about a few things, do you mind if I come in?” Su asks. You let her in, but try to ignore that her perfume has you leaning in closer and wishing you could just curl up in bed with her forever.
As Su walks in, she slightly brushes you with your arm, and the hair on your arm stands up as you clear your throat and close the door behind her. You follow Su into the room as she sits on your bed and you awkwardly stand there. You just look down at the floor, and wait for her to speak. She just sits there and stares at you, and you’re quite confused what she’s looking at, and why she isn’t talking yet.
“Are you not going to sit?” Su asks. You shuffle and sit next to her, but trying to keep some space between you, for your benefit so you won’t do anything too stupid. This crossed Su’s mind, and she completely ignored it and scooted closer to you and rested her hands on your forearm and knee, which prompted you to swallow loudly, as you tried to ignore your pounding heart.
“I’ve talked with Kuvira before, and she always says how great you are at talking things through, and I have some concerns.” She starts with, causing you to die a little inside, thinking she knows your little secret. “With my sister being here, and being so resentful against me and my family, I don’t know what to do or say, and my husband is well… we’re not how we used to be, and I feel like you’d have good insight.”
“Uhhh yeah. Um. You’re not?” I squeaked out, not really sure to answer that. She’s not how she used to be with her husband? But they always seemed to be the perfect duo. How is she not doing well with him? Are they splitting up? What happened? Okay (y/n), focus. She’s starting at you. I need to concentrate on what she’s saying. I hear her speaking, but nothing is coming to my ears, I’m just staring at her perfect lips, and wow. They’re so kissable. I wish I could, just…
“(Y/N) are you okay? You seem out of it. I knew this would be too much, just forget I said anything, and have yourself a goodnight.” Su rushed out as she got up to leave. I didn’t know what to do, because now she thinks it’s her fault. I did the only logical thing to do. I grabbed her retreating hand and yanked her back down to me and before she could question anything, I grabbed her face pulled it closer and slammed my lips on her lips. I instantly wrapped my hands into her hair pulling her closer and enjoying this moment.
She was completely frozen. That’s when the panic started, and I soon realized this was not where she was going with this, and I’m an idiot. Just when I started to pull back, there was a loud bang that shook the mansion, cause me to fall to the floor and Su to stand up immediately. Horrible timing, but I could always just stare at her from this angle. Any angle to be honest. Thats when another loud bang shook the walls, and before I could get up, Su grabbed my hands to lift me up, surprisingly quickly and strong.
“I need to investigate, stay here (y/n).” Su said eyes piercing through mine.
“But I-“
“I mean it, don’t leave your room in any circumstance until I come get you.” Su said, then looked at my lips, gave me a quick peck on the cheek instead, and ran out of the room, metal bending the door behind her so I couldn’t get out. Damn metal benders. Though, joke is on her, because Kuvira used to lock me in my room all the time for dinner as a joke. I carved out some hollowed areas to crawl through that gives me outdoor access through the vents. Granted this was 10 years ago, when I was much smaller, but will have to do in a pinch. I wiggled through and I don’t know if its all the training I’ve done with Kuvira to stay toned and made this a piece of cake, or all the sweat I’ve gathered from thinking about the kiss I just shared with Su. Of course she didn’t want to kiss me, I’m her adoptive daughter’s friend, why would she me as anything else? Welp, time to move out I suppose. You know, Fire nation looks lovely this time of year. Another loud bang followed by shouting was heard, and I got back to focus and busted the vent and crawled out.
When I got up, I see about 20 guards, Su and her twins, team avatar, and Lin. I can’t specifically spot out Kuvira, but I’m sure she’s somewhere amongst the guards. Who I can’t find oddly is the avatar. Isn’t this her thing? Investigation loud bangs? Then I spotted it. The giant metal plates in the center of.. lava? Well that’s new. Some buff, bald man had the knocked out avatar over his shoulder, and everyone was firing metal at him. But some of the guards were fighting a woman with water arms, and a guy who was lavabending?! Who are these people?! My training with Kuvira kicked in, and while I don’t have some super fancy bending like these people, or really any bending, I know how to throw a punch and dodge cheap shots that Kuvira loves to throw at me.
I run into the action and I spot Kuvira bending her plates at the lady with water arms, but miserably failing. I run up to her and push her behind a pillar.
“(Y/N)! You can’t be out here, these aren’t normal people. Go call back up!” Kuvira shouted while protecting you from an explosion near by.
“Idiot, I’ve trained with you, I can help. But you’re such and earth bender. You’re only thinking within the box of fighting. These obviously aren’t normal people. You need to outsmart them, not out bend them.” You shout over all the commotion and duck your head into Kuvira’s arms while splinters of metal go flying a little too close to your face. Kuvira puts up a shield next to you to protect you, and you continue on you theory. “If you can distract the water bending with set up 12-4, then I jump off your back and go and electrocute her. Water hates electricity.” You shout over the loud bangs.
“That could work, but if you get injured, Su will kill me.” Kuvira shouts, while contemplating.
“That’s okay, I think she already wants to kill me now. I kissed her earlier.” You shout/whisper to Kuvira. She just stares at you with large eyes, and punches your arm. You just shake your head and nod to her. Kuvira get the guards to line up in 12-4, a common move they do to surprise an attacker, with surrounding forces, and my added presence should hopefully hit it home. I waited for the right moment and then when I saw Kuvira was ready and water lady spun around I ran and jumped on Kuvira’s back and she launched me into the air, and thankful for all her dance routines, I flipped next to water arms lady and with the baton fully charged with electricity, I went to electrocute her to take her out, and it was going perfect, except we didn’t account for mr. lavabender to have heart eyes for her, and jump in, and shoot the ground from underneath me, and shoot me into the air, and given it was unpredicted, I was flying far, and crashed into Lin. And man, if I thought Su was strong, her older sister is earth itself, and pure muscle. I groaned from the not so soft landing. I think the ground would’ve been a better landing than Lin.
“Watch it kid. This isn’t a circus.” She grunts roughly and tosses you aside. Ahh, so now you see the resentment Su was talking about from earlier. You roll off and sit up brushing the dirt off you. That didn’t go as planned. Before you could think of another suggestion, you looked up and saw Su fighting with her twins and you see combustion bender (how did I miss her earlier?!) Directly aim for a rock pile near by Su, to throw all of them at her at once, so she couldn’t dodge it, and before you knew what to do, your body was running full speed at Su, screaming, “Shit, watch out!” as a large boulder was flying at her crush at an extremely fast pace, fast enough all she could do was jump in front of it, and prepare for the sudden pain.
You know those moments when everything slows down, and you just embrace what is happening, but it gives you a chance to look around? This was one of those moments, and you thought you were toast. For sure, going to be flattened out into nothing. Though while you looked around, you see guards running all over, team avatar helping Lin get the avatar, and the twins under the protection of their mother, who is shielding her body to protect them, and staring at you. You feel the wind of the the boulder about to hit you, and you ready yourself for the impact…. That never comes? You look in front of you to see all the boulders that were flying towards you at full speed are now hitting the combustion lady and Lin escaped with the avatar. What really surprised you was the air being blasted from your hands. I’m an airbender?????
Then the bald man took his staff and the other 3 talented benders into a gust of wind and they were gone. Okay, if I am an airbender, I need to learn that trick. You look back to see if Su is okay, but are instead greeted with arms instantly wrapping around you and the intoxicating smell of Su’s perfume and a bit of mix of burnt earth…You awkwardly return her hug and bury your face into her shoulder, even though she is about an inch or two shorter than I am.
“You idiot, I told you to stay put! And why would you jump in front of those boulders? I’m an earth bender, I can handle it!” Su screams at you, and you wince.
“Yeah, but I couldn’t see you get hurt, and that was a lot. Even the best of us need help sometimes.” You say as you rub the back of your neck. She just shakes her head at you and brings you in closer.

After all the crazy moments and discovering the bald man named Zaheer, had all the airbenders, team avatar went after him, and though you wanted to join in on the fight, Su asked you to stay, and while you do love her, you aren’t sure if you can.
She pulled you aside after the meeting into a small room that was almost never used. “(y/n), I can’t have you in danger again, especially now that you’re an airbender, you’re a bigger target for Zaheer. Please don’t go. I can’t have you getting hurt.” Su says quietly while holding your hand and searching your eyes. You really struggled, you wanted to say okay to make her feel better and happy, but you had to help.
“Su, I-“
She stopped me by kissing me on the lips, and I think I just died… Is this the spirit world? Sparks shout out from my closed eyelids, and I pulled her in closer to my body as if this was a dream I was hoping to never awake from. Eventually we both pulled away for air, and searched each others eyes while resting our foreheads together. I eventually spoke up, “okay… I’ll stay back.”
Su visibly sighed and relaxed against my body, and I held her tight and kissed the top of her forehead. I’m not comfortable with the idea of her going out alone, but I heard Kuvira can’t go, and someone needs to stay back to keep her from taking over the kingdom.

zuko x f. reader
Promptober Masterlist
Zuko first met you on Ember Island. They would vacation there for majority of his childhood; at least, before he was banished.
A resident there at the island, you belonged to the Dancing Troupe. Ever since you could walk, you were instantly taught the art. Being a fire bender, you found ways to integrate it into your routines. Though somewhat of a natural, you got progressively better by practicing as the years passed.
His mother’s favorite play was Love Amongst the Dragons in which you would participate during the act break, dancing whilst the crowd got up to stretch and the actors prepared for the next scene. A young Zuko was thoroughly impressed at the way you managed to bend fire so smoothly—the flames dancing around your limbs seemed to turn from reddish orange to a pinkish shade a bit clumsily, but amazing nonetheless.
Noticing Zuko’s fascination with you, his mother nudged him into talking with you. Back then, he was more gentler and a bit shy, blushing when he complimented your dance. You would grace him with a bright smile. Being the same age, the two of you got along pretty well.
Each year Zuko would come to Ember Island and hang out with you. The two of you became close friends; he would often confide in you. From there, you would be invited to his birthday and perfom. Friendship bloomed into something more but it was never really explored because Zuko was banished.
You were in Ba Sing Se festival when it happened; the news spread and you worried for him. Knowing the fire lord, Zuko was not at fault. Either way, finding him would be near to impossible. Instead you focused on your craft, hoping to see him one day. You practiced hard, pushing yourself to be the best dancer, gaining you recognition across the nations. Maybe Zuko would hear of you and see you one day.
Around three years later, Zuko had already joined the gaang. They made a stop to Ember Island. This place brought Zuko a lot of memories. All this time he hadn’t forgotten about you, missing his best friend dearly. Zuko yearned to see you dance once more, to hear you voice, and share a few laughs.
It was then that Zuko saw you again.
The gaang went to the theater to watch a play; when the act break occurred, the presenter introduced the person he wanted to see most. “Ladies and gentlemen, please give a round of applause to Ember Island’s jewel, the lovely [Name]!”
Recognizing your name, Zuko’s head whipped toward the stage. He didn’t expect you’d be here at the same time since your troupe was usually traveling around this time of the year. The rest of his companions also focused as you moved with incredible fluidity.
Zuko watched with admiration as you created fire butterflies of different colors that hovered as you twisted and jumped. It must have taken a lot of practice for you to manage that, since each figure was of a varying level of intensity. Zuko always marveled at how you could turn fire, an element that was considered destructive, into something beautiful that people enjoyed.
The others didn’t miss the way Zuko looked at you.
After the play, he was teased into approaching you.
Zuko was NERVOUS. He’d disappeared without a word. He wouldn’t be surprised if you hated him for it. Gulping, he walked towards you, “Uh.. [Name]..?”
You turned around, expecting it to be someone from the audience. Instead, you saw your childhood friend and first love. “Zuko..?” Were you hallucinating? He was wearing a hood to hide his face and he now sported a scar on his left eye. Just what happened to him? You figured it involved his banished somehow but for now—
The gaang watched in surprise as you crushed Zuko into a hug, the latter also shocked before wrapping his arms around you. He melted into the hug, touch starved. You leaned back, rubbing the tears out of your eyes. “I missed you so much! I hate you!” Zuko was a bit confused but smiled since the words didn’t seem to carry any hostility but rather worry.
Noticing that they were being ogled at by the gaang, Zuko decided to introduce them. You were excited and honored to meet them all. Your happiness dwindled down when Zuko announced that they couldn’t stay; there was work to be done.
Though sad that this reunion lasted but a few minutes, you understood that Zuko had a duty to the avatar, his nation, and himself. Squeezing his hands, you smiled. “Zuko, you better come back or I won’t forgive you this time.”
Eventually, things settled down.
You managed a job at the fire palace and were there when Zuko was crowned fire lord; you prepared a special dance in his honor. The crowd cheered and celebrated.
“[Name]...” he began but you bowed, “Fire Lord Zuko,”
He was about to tell you the formalities weren’t necessary when he noticed your playful smirk. Oh, how his heart fluttered for you. “I wanted to tell you something important.” Your teasing demeanor dropped, waiting for him to speak.
“I love you.”
“I’ve loved you for a long time. Since I first saw you...”
It was unexpected. While you felt the same, you didn’t imagine he would confess right now. For a moment you were speechless, causing Zuko to wonder if he had messed up. “Sorry. I guess you don’t feel the same—”
“No! I mean, I do… but we haven’t even gone on a date. Maybe we should take this step by step ?” You were nervous as well. Having never been in a romantic relationship, you were clueless on how to proceed.
“I agree. Why don’t we start now?”
The two of you interlocked hands before wandering around the palace as the festivities continued.
