Notice how the "looks don't matter" crowd never say anything about Stansas who compile every moment she's called beautiful and salivate over it, even though a lot of said moments are coming from predators? Notice how they never talk about Arya being bullied for her looks or characters making judgments based on looks as a negative? Notice how they never talk about people in fandom thinking of characters as less important for being ugly? No, they only ever come out when it's time to misinterpret Arya and claim her stans are obsessed with looks for pointing out what's in the books

Okay.
I only meant to make one SJM post cause Ik how certain girls like to tussle
But since the gwynriels and elucians decided to mess w me EVEN THO I SAID TO LOOK AWAY IF YOU GET EASILY TRIGGERED…
There is only one thing to do:
Talk more about why Elriel is not based in delusion — unlike some ships (not naming names, if you take offense that’s your mind questioning things)
Again, I am giving my PERSONAL OPINION. I even said at the end of my last post that I am not the author and I will love & respect whatever SJM does, which some of y’all can’t echo. That’s sad. This is a fictional world.
DISCLAIMER: if you’re easily triggered by elriel/elucian/gwynriel…l o o k a w a y
DISCLAIMER#2: I am unapologetic cause this is my page :)
Also, stop hitting my line with the “I wasn’t going to respond to this but…” or “you’re so anti…” like 1, if you weren’t going to respond, then don’t. It’s not that serious where the world is BEGGING for your opinion. And 2, I’m not anti anything, I’m pro-logic, again if that offends you then that’s a convo for you and you not you and me.
Now onto the main event…
Azriel
Tumblr media
My mans is being dragged through the mud both in the books and online. We say we “love him” but are ignoring what he wants and babes, that’s Elain. If you don’t like her personally, that’s not how Az is feeling, that’s how YOURE feeling. Gwyn has one chapter (+1 sentence) of where I can even attempt to grasp at what Gwynriel’s quote as bible, but again, AZ AND ELAIN HAVE 3 BOOKS. Y’all are acting like Rhys in Az’s bonus chapter and if Rhys couldn’t make his stance acceptable, y’all definitely can’t.
Elain
Tumblr media
Again, I say, if you do not like the lady pictured above, stop reading ACOTAR cause she ain’t going anywhere. To be so for real, I didn’t mind Elain at first, meaning I didn’t care whether or not she was included in any story whatsoever. But as I read ACOWAR and ACOFAS, I started realizing that there’s something so lovely about having a character who is innately good and wants/practices peace in a world of animosity and ugliness. She brings beauty in all areas of her life and I think that there’s nothing bad about being “boring” cause that just means your life ain’t a dang mess (*cough* *cough* everybody else in this book)
Tumblr media
So here is where I debunk all the claims I have grown tired of ignoring:
• #1 - “He hadn’t gotten that far into his planning beyond the fantasies he’s pleasured himself to.”
Tumblr media
(Picture credit: unknown) Get a good look cause that’s what he’s doing at night when he thinks about ELAIN. (It’s canon, so cry to yourself)
So, y’all really think you got us here, huh? So, my man Azriel blatantly admits to thinking of Elain when he wants to be intimate and y’all STILL want your girl to be with this man?
Ugh
Anyway, so Azriel hadn’t planned a relationship with Elain…OKAY???? Did you expect this man to have a map laid out about how he’s going to steal Lucien’s mate??? Do y’all even know Azriel? Like, be so for real rn.
Idk about y’all but when I have a crush on someone, I’m not thinking about how to steal them from the rest of the world, I’m imagining kissing them or going on cute dates. Not how I’ll actually make it happen. And ik y’all do that too with your favorite celebrities so stop playing.
He has a crush. Can you let the man figure out if Elain even wants him to act on it before he plans a 12-step mission on making Lucien disappear forever?
Azriel doesn’t want to force his emotions on anyone (as seen with Mor) so of course he’s not going to act or plot without confirmation that the other person in the party wants that. I.E. why he hadnt tried anything with Mor in all the CENTURIES that he liked her.
So, yeah, consider that point invalid.
• #2 - Lucien is Elain’s mate
Tumblr media
(PC: @shauna_the_author) *sigh* This one cannot be dubunked, unfortunately, because it is true. You got me here.
BUT
Elain is more likely to marry Nuala and Cerridwen before she spends the rest of her life with Lucien.
And it has nothing to do with Lucien. It really, really doesn’t. Elain simply doesn’t like him. Y’all were in my comments like “oh he didn’t really sell out Elain and Nesta, he didn’t know”. OKAY. But Elain literally says in ACOWAR that she knows Lucien as two things: Feyre’s friend and the MAN WHO SOLD THEM OUT TO HYBERN
Who cares if it isn’t true, that’s what Elain thinks and with her in mind, you can’t say that this bond means anything more to her than Lucien having some ownership of her which she doesn’t like at all. She even tells Graysen that she doesn’t care Lucien is her mate (“I belong to no one, but my heart belongs to you.”)
Whereas with Azriel, my girl is practically skipping into his arms; talking with him about her dream garden, getting him not one but two solstice gifts, almost-kissing him, recoiling at Cassian’s dagger but actively using Azriel’s…
Idk about y’all but if someone who was fated to be with me was acting this way with another girl, I’d drop him like a hot potatoe. AND AS LUCIEN SHOULD. He deserves someone who wants him, not someone who, as even Lucien said in ACOWAR when he was questioning if Elain was “worth it”, is shackled to him.
I harbor no ill will toward this dreamy man, but it ain’t gonna happen so do Elain a favor and lose her number, k?
• #3 - Sarah wouldn’t do the 3 brothers with 3 sisters, it’s too cliche
Tumblr media
Write your own book then. Fan fiction is a thing. If the ONLY thing preventing you to see reason is the possibility of a cliche in a book about kingdoms and fairies and magic then your priorities are so out of shape I won’t even spend the time explaining it to you.
This is SARAH’s WORLD. If she wants to be cliche and have the three female protagonists end up with the three male protagonists then let her. Omg.
• #4 - That Gwynriel scene tho
Tumblr media
(NOTE THE PICTURE) Oh, you mean the bonus chapter that featured thoughts about Elain? Not that one? Oh, then maybe you mean the other bonus chapter that featured thoughts about Elain? No? You mean the scene with Gwyn…hmmm
OH! You mean the 2 page conversation about training and why he couldn’t sleep (cause of Elain) and the subsequent regift of Elain’s present to Gwyn. Yeah, I know about that but why are we talking about it? Cause that means Az likes Gwyn? Huh?
That’s how delulu y’all sound. And if I hear another “you’re the ribbon Az”, one more time I’ll scream. THE RIBBON WAS ABOUT TRAINING NOT GWYN WANTING TO SLEEP WITH THE MAN. We are talking about the same girl who hadn’t left a library in god knows how long because of a sexual trauma and y’all are forcing her onto another man??
Gwyn was focused on coming into herself and mastering the ways of the Valkyrie. Nesta meant Gwyn found another obstacle in Az that she would have to overcome to become a Valkyrie. The only man Gwyn was concerned about was Cassian and that’s cause he was getting it on with Nesta. Again, be so for real right now.
I refuse to acknowledge this point until the opposing ships acknowledge the 3 books (+ ACOFAS) of build up between Elain and Azriel.
• #5 - Elain doesn’t belong in the Night Court
Tumblr media
This is the last point I’ll mention cause I actually feel bad for dogging the Gwynriels like this, but it had to be done. (Elucians get a pass bc at least their ship is based in evidence)
Elain doesn’t belong in the Night Court, okay, yeah Cassian said that the colors drown her out, I’ll give you that.
But Elain doesn’t know where she belongs anymore, just like Azriel has said about himself. She’s still figuring herself out and what she wants, so it’s okay she looks odd at times or feels at times out of place. Azriel keeps his shadows out 24/7 for the same reason. He doesn’t let anyone past the front he puts on unless he knows it’s safe to. They’re both figuring out how to live their best lives in their current lives.
I’ve heard Dusk Court theories and others but I won’t even repeat those (even tho they’re so good and you should definitely look into them). They just need to find their place in this world (and Cassian was right, Elain DOES NOT BELONG in the Hewn City).
Just like how Nesta didn’t believe she belonged in the Inner Circle, I believe there’s a place for Elain and Azriel where they can be themselves. They just need to find it I.E. their book.
-
Okay, that’s enough slaying of my enemies for one post. Again, this is just my opinion/theories and at the end of the day I’ll be happy with whatever Mrs. Maas gives us as long as she gives us something.
Act correctly or else I’ll be back.

okay i know you've mentioned/answered this a million times but i would love to get your top recommendations for borgias published books and content.
i haven't really ventured into those selections but i really want to take the leap into that realm and buy/borrow some books and read them..!
(also i'm curious if you read many fanfictions for the borgias, and if so do you have any good recs?)
💞
hi <33! no worries at all! i love being asked questions about everything related to the borgias, as i get very enthusiastic about them. now, let's start with my favorite borgias biographies:
maria bellonci's 'lucrezia borgia' because i'm very obsessed with accuracy and avoiding cliché biased narratives. it's such a solid read really! it also portrays lucrezia in a way that i've always believed she was—a completely misunderstood woman who is a pawn in the power and ambition games of her father and brother. but deep down, she's just a silly, pretty poetry lover who's guilty by association. this book also debunks cesare's supposed "jealousy" towards juan as the shows how much he loves him (based on the letters to each other) and that rodrigo has always loved his children equally, which is a cherry on top lol.
emma lucas's 'lucrezia borgia.' while it's not entirely accurate because it satisfies my beloved (but not accurate) 'lucrezia is a femme fatale and not saintly' narrative (which i love, by the way), i'm fascinated by how it unexpectedly delves deep into her family, especially rodrigo, cesare, and juan. it also provides great anecdotes about the characters so there's that. despite having negative reviews, the biography is actually very well-written and highly entertaining! fuck the gossip!
christopher hibbert's 'the borgias and their enemies.' for some reason, i keep forgetting to recommend this book to my friends. i tend to get easily investedwith any borgia book that focuses on the pope and his children, providing narratives without forcing you to choose what to believe. the author obviously conducted extensive research before publishing it because when reading a biography (not historical fiction), i prefer to avoid biased perspectives that can be heavily misleading. i also appreciate the fact that machiavelli (and other important figures) plays an important role in this biography because i'm always excited about him.
ferdinand gregorovius' 'lucretia borgia according to original documents and correspondence of her day'. it's also a very unbiased excellent piece of history that is full of validated source. and i just adore how the author is pro-lucrezia as well.
samantha morris' 'cesare and lucrezia: brother and sister of history's most vilified family' is also well documented and well researched! while cesare was given more depth than lucrezia, still, lucrezia's character in this biography is more colorful. obviously the most popular narrative for the borgia family is them being incestuous, corrupt and violent, a family to be feared, but the author suggests otherwise as she sets out to prove this is not the full story and she does make a good argument! as she detailed how they've been portrayed by mainstream media as well as detailing what happened to their descendants.
sarah bradford's 'lucrezia borgia.' okay, so this one isn't a favorite of mine, but i'd recommend it to you or anyone who's a huge fan of ceslu. it's written like a love story biography exclusively about them. while i like how she wrote about ceslu, i heavily dislike how she wrote about juan and rodrigo and how she portrayed them based on narratives from the family's enemies. the author also manipulated a letter about the envoy boccaccio, which is supposed to praise both brothers. but instead, the author just one-upped him with cesare by dunking on him, which i personally find lame and intensely inaccurate since juan borgia was pretty much loved by his wife, his family, and his friends based on the retrieved documents and letters. that being said, i do enjoy the ceslu parts, of course, and i believe any fan of showtime's 'the borgias' who ships ceslu would enjoy this book and its fluent writing and can easily ignore the negatively inaccurate narratives about the other members of the family.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
that's all for the biography books! now let's start with historical fiction:
sarah dunant's 'blood and beauty'. one thing about me is that i'm never gonna stop praising this book because it is absolutely my favorite historical fiction book about this extraordinary family! again, i get so invested in any book when the author does extensive research. also, if you're looking for a book about this family that reads like an episode of showtime's 'the borgias,' then this book is your go-to! full of interesting dynamics, and yes, cesare is as cruel and megalomaniacal as history and machiavelli portrayed him, lucrezia as a victim of her father and brother's political ambitions game, and juan as the flawed kid who was eventually sunk deep when he got dragged into his father's ambitions game. while the book doesn't provide a deeper exploration of the characters' psyche, it's more focused on the story by making it very engaging and sheds light on their complex relationships and their rise to power. and every character is highly sympathetic as the author brilliantly humanizes them. in short, it is emotionally intriguing and a must-read for the borgias enjoyers.
mario puzo's 'the family'. you know, i wasn't even surprised a bit that this book's writing and story being groundbreaking because after all, it is written by the author of 'the godfather'. the family is such a compelling book, such tender writing when it comes to lucrezia and cesare. the story becomes intriguing the more you read. i also loved puzo's portrayal of rodrigo as this family man who deeply loves his children yet he uses them as pawns (which is also similar to jeremy irons' portrayal). while i gotta criticize that the characters have no depth and his version of lucrezia as this damsel angel for her father and brother is, uhhh… quite boring. i like her when she's multilayered lol. i also think the way he tried to present cesare and give him the "from zero to hero" trope in order to make him relatable is also lame because cesare's success as a historical figure is because he was calculating and wicked, and definitely not a bitter loser. i mean, i could absolutely ignore the bitterness part, but at least françois arnaud's cesare added so many layers and swag in the characters, therefore you could ignore it. but i can overlook all that when there's an engaging story and great writing, no matter what the characterizations are like. so overall, it's impressive and entertaining, and you will definitely enjoy it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
regarding fanfiction; i'm sorry but i never read any because i feel quite satisfied by all 'the borgias' show canon that we have and all these historical books. i wish i could help with recommending fics :/
thank you very much for the question, and i hope this post answers it. have a great day 💕🫶

Various experiments and physical evidence easily accessible as well as multiple sources corroborating and reiterating it as fact. As opposed to one book that contradicts itself, makes claims that are not reproducible, and is over 2000 years old and not been corroborated by any modern individual. "How can you believe something with tons of hard evidence but not outrageous claims that only have 'because I said so' backing them? Checkmate atheists"
Did you perform these experiments and see this physical evidence yourself? Or are you just trusting what resources you’ve read that are all written by men have said about these experiments and physical evidence?
The age of the Bible is irrelevant to whether or not it is accurate. Having historical documents that old is actually pretty amazing.
When you make those claims about the Bible you’re just proving you don’t know anything about it and you think if you don’t personally know something then it’s just not true. Those are all variably false claims. The Bible does not contradict itself and no scientific or historical fact that’s been discovered has ever contradicted the bible.
Historians and archeologists have used the Bible as a guide to find ancient structures and locations that were discovered right where the Bible said they would be. Even things that people previously doubted existed. The Bible also contains a lot of scientific accuracy that was advanced knowledge for most people and cultures of that time.
It has been studied and used as a historical guide since it was written and if you use the same level of scrutiny to judge it as you do other sources then you can’t deny it is a historically reliable document. But you don’t use the same level of scrutiny. You use completely different standards because you’re an edgy atheist or whatever.
You don’t have to believe the Bible but claiming it’s a book that has no corroborating evidence, makes claims that aren’t reproducible and contradicts itself is foolish and just proves you are not educated even a little bit in this area because it’s not hard to know that’s wrong by simply looking into it yourself which you clearly haven’t done. You haven’t even read the Bible and you’re mocking and dismissing it. Which means you are just trusting some uncorroborated nonsense you saw written by men that research has already debunked.
Anyway, unless you performed those experiments yourself and examined the hard evidence yourself you are just trusting books and sources written by men and taking it on faith that what they told you is true.
I’m not having this discussion with you anymore because I can tell you’re not being genuine. You are choosing to just to be dismissive of whatever I say before I even say it. You don’t know what you’re talking about and it’s obvious. You can mock the Bible all you want it makes no difference to me because I know the truth and your severe ignorance on the matter does not even create a dent in any argument or belief I’ve stated. You can’t do that when you are as uneducated as you are. I hope you become wiser and learn how to research and understand what you read. I hope you can at least gain enough knowledge to realize that there actually is a lot of corroborating evidence outside of the bible. For your own sake. Even if you don’t believe the bible you wouldn’t come across so ignorant in discussions pertaining to it.
I’ll pray for you. God bless.

Do you think old school thinkers, who happen to be left leaning, get more of a pass for problematic thought than right leanings ones? Specifically wondering why Karl Marx is still widely read and respected despite problematic views on the Jewish People and the British conquest of India, but also Che Guevara
Obligatory I hate the left-right political spectrum caveat. I hate ideas and people being categorized on it. It's simplistic, actively working to deny understanding and greater comprehension. But I've had a little whiskey, so who gives a shit now?
If you're talking about academia, yes. Academia has been loathe to call out Karl Marx for his anti-Semitism. It's not just the anti-Semitism though; we've had extensive time with which to see Marx's predictions, the ones which asserted actual data figures that we can measure like the rate of profit to fall over time, have failed to materialize. At this point, Marx is exclusively junk philosophy and pseudoscience; it has no place in rational theory, but it's still there. Chomsky is dismissed for his largely bogus political takes and genocide denial, but still held up as a serious academic even in his field, despite the numerous failures in the Propaganda Model (though it has some value in the conceptual level). Now, this might be me, but I see the failures of Manufacturing Consent as part of a long-running tradition of conspiracy theories within left-wing movements far older than Chomsky that are easily debunked (I particularly hate the "First Red Scare killed the American socialist movement" myth). I hope one day academia will engage with its blind spots and include the Soviet Union in its examination of colonial studies and 20th century authoritarianism, or hold its treasured thinkers to the same standards, but I won't hold my breath. Academics do not take kindly to non-academics thinking that they are wrong.
That's academia, though, America outside of colleges don't really listen to Marx at all - even American left-wing movements these days cleave closer to a European social democratic model and plenty of left-wing students don't actually read Marx, they quote him but haven't actually went through his books (some have, and sadly, they are usually quite authoritarian). In that sense, it's all about who evaluates it. If you look to other places, you see them engage in a similarly uncritical fashion with their own pet theories that similarly flatter the tribe. So, I think that's less of a function of the left-right political spectrum and more of a function of a political interpretation of history that promotes the in-group as a historical protagonist. It is cringe to see someone espousing the horrors of racism from someone wearing a Che Guevara t-shirt, but it's also cringe to see someone say "America means freedom," without even the barest hint of recognition that the United States brutalized blacks, Native Americans, etc. to the point where they could rightly say that America took great pains to keep them out of the American Dream and reacted violently when they succeeded anyway - consider actions like the Osage murders or the Tulsa massacre; it was not enough to keep minorities out of prosperity but to violently pull it from them when they succeeded via theft, arson, and murder. Howard Zinn is a polemicist writing bullshit history, but so were plenty of other textbooks in the 1950's. The Trumpist movement largely gives life to "Stop the Steal" absent all empirical, logical, and logistical evidence, rather than accept that Trump just fucking lost under the same rules that he won in 2016. They'd rather establish an autocrat than realize that maybe, just maybe, that people just told them that they didn't want them in charge, that he failed to deliver and the American public decided for something else - it's the same energy that animates Chomsky's writings in the 1980's. Stupidity and tribalism are omni-partisan; it's in the nature of tribal movements to glorify the tribe by denigrating others outside the tribe. And given how easy it is, particularly in liberal societies given the liberal paradox (the real one, not the fallacious one proposed by Amartya Sen), to fall into tribal enclavism, I don't think that's changing any time soon.
Thanks for the question, Cle-Guy.

Book Speed Of Trust - TheSchoolHouse302
Book Speed Of Trust: How To Increase Your Reading Speed In Half The Time When it comes to reading, many people believe that speed is key. After all, if you can read faster, you can get through more material in less time. This belief is based on the idea that humans have a limited attention span and that by reading faster, we can squeeze more information into our short window of attention. However, this theory has been debunked time and time again. In fact, recent studies have shown that readers who read at a slower pace actually comprehend more information than those who read quickly. So why is it that so many people believe in the power of speed? It may have something to do with how we’re taught to read. In school, we are often told to read as if we are listening to someone speak. This type of reading makes us rely on our eyes rather than our brain. If you want to increase your speed of trust and learn how to read more effectively, check out this book speed of trust: how to increase your reading speed in half the time. Book Speed Of Trust How reading speed can be improved Reading is not only one of the most important activities in life, it is also one of the quickest and easiest to improve. In this blog post, we will be discussing how reading speed can be improved by following a few simple tips. On average, people read at around 200-240 words per minute (wpm). However, many readers – especially those who are fast readers – can read much faster than this. The secret to being a fast reader isn’t necessarily having a high reading speed, it is having good comprehension skills. When you have good comprehension skills, you can quickly process what you are reading and understand it completely. Here are some methods that can help improve your comprehension skills: 1) Skim read: Skimming through your text doesn’t have to be a slow process – in fact, if done correctly, skimming can actually help improve your comprehension speed because it allows you to take in all the information on the surface level without having to go through all the details. Start by scanning just the first few sentences of a chapter or article before starting to read it more carefully. This will help you get a general idea of what is being discussed without getting bogged down in unnecessary detail. 2) Use highlighting and underlining: Highlighting and underlining key words and phrases can also help improve your comprehension speeds because they allow you to directly associate specific information with later discussions or readings. Doing this will make it easier for you The benefits of accelerated reading If you're like most people, reading for pleasure doesn't come naturally. In fact, it can often feel like a chore. But there's no need to feel guilty about your reading speed - you can easily increase it by 50% or more with the right approach. Here are the four key benefits of accelerated reading: 1) More time for other activities: When you read quickly, you tend to spend more time with a book, which means that you'll have more time for other activities. This includes time to relax and get lost in the story, as well as time to explore the content and learn from it.

Frustrated with all those crazy diet plans and fitness schedules? If you are looking for a different angle to weight loss, I’ve reviewed here a revolutionary product that doesn’t conform to the usual diet rules and instead, promises to give you a much healthier approach to food. The Product The Fat Burning Kitchen is a 123-page ebook authored by Mike Geary and Catherine Ebeling, which deals with an innovative approach to weight loss. As the name states, it all begins with your kitchen ingredients. The whole idea is to create the right stock of items to eat food that will help you burn that stubborn fat away. Mike Geary is a published author of international fame. A Certified Nutrition Specialist, his books on health and nutrition have been sold in over 160 countries. The co-author, Catherine, has studied diet and nutrition for 25 years and has been a Certified Personal Trainer for several years. Authors with such backgrounds are bound to give compelling advice! The program first targets an essential lifestyle modification that involves cleaning out your unhealthy kitchen goodies and then restocking it with the right kind of food. The authors claim that the diet transformation advised starts the fat burning process in your body after the first day itself. The book is divided into two main modules: Start the Cleanout How to Stock Your Fat-Burning Kitchen The book takes you through all the steps, almost handholding you all the way. It explains how our bodies react to certain food types, debunks a ton of food myths, and provides scientific evidence to validate the points made. There are several checklists included to help you along with stocking up your kitchen with the food that’s actually good for you. Mike and Catherine provide a lot of information on the different types of food we eat and what they do to our bodies. Surprisingly, I learned that a lot of food I assumed was unhealthy was actually good for me like cheese, coffee, nuts, eggs, and even chocolate. It's all about what varieties you eat and when you eat them. The Bonus includes another ebook called the '23 Day Advanced Nutritional Fat Burning Supplement'. It contains daily diet plans, timing schedules, fat-burning tips, and so much more. I actually found this book to be equally informative and effective! The Positive Side The ebook is very informative and contains detailed explanations of what foods to eat and Why. This intrigued me the most. Most Nutritionists just give out diet plans, but here Mike actually teaches you what each food does inside our body. So now, before I select anything to eat, my mind races with all the information about what it would do to me and helps me make healthier choices! The book is a real eye-opener for the so-called "healthy" snacks and packaged food. Most foods being advertised as healthy food like energy drinks, skim milk etc. actually do more harm than good. I was shocked to note that if you read the ingredient label of most protein bars, you will realise that they are just candy bars in disguise! The book is not just a one-time diet plan. It is a long-term lifestyle option that you can easily follow. The results are evident within a few days itself, so obviously, it just makes me want to follow it through. The instructions are easy to follow and clearly spelled out. The kitchen ingredients listed and the food items that Mike advises are things that are available at regular grocery stores. You just need to pick the right items. These are not specialty or gourmet items that you would have to make extra efforts to buy or visit specific stores. None of the changes to create your Fat burning kitchen would require you to spend a fortune so it won’t affect your food budget. You would just be substituting some items with others. If anything, it actually made me save money! The customer service team is rapid and responsive. The authors themselves respond to a lot of the queries.
So, you know you are getting the right information and not some automatic pre-set reply. The Negative Side Following the program would mean a significant shift in your eating habits. You would need to forego your regular comfort food and go by Mike’s advice. Of course, it would definitely mean you would get a leaner, fitter and healthier body. Be prepared to change the way you look at food! The book can get a tad technical, i.e., many scientific explanations relating to the human body form part of the book. However, what you need to do is very easy to understand. Why you need to do it, may take some time to understand. Final Verdict The Fat Burning Kitchen is a revolutionary ebook offering superb insights into the whys and hows of weight loss. If you are struggling to lose weight despite working out and eating healthy, this is a great option. The diet transformation is sure to fire up the fat-burning hormone in your body. This product is effective and advocates a program that's sustainable in the long run. The pricing is extremely affordable, in fact, it is one of the lowest I've seen for such a great product. Coupled with excellent customer service and a 60-day money-back guarantee, you have absolutely nothing to lose (except all that weight of course!!).

Pls share about the Gospel of Judas 👀
, im SO glad someone asked because this topic is nigh always pingponging around in my head and the fact i get to ramble about it means the WORLD to me. TW ahead for canon-typical violence, gore, and other such discussions of all that fun heretical stuff!
 Now, to preface this, I just wanted to say that I’m not a licensed professional in anything related to theology nor religion nor historical artifacts. I am. as we all are deep down inside, a simple teenager with ridiculous hyper-fixations and a vast ocean of random information that will not be of any importance to my career or home life whatsoever. Easily, many of the things I talk about could either be wrong or debunked, but I will try my best to explain the Book of Judas as I understood it.
Among the many books that make up what we know as the Bible today, there were various seemingly ‘missing perspectives’ and inconsistencies that existed between gospels. One of the reasons for this was the fact that the Bible in and of itself was a compiled work that was originally recorded years after the oral tradition had passed. What is or isn’t ‘canon’ often depended on the rulings of past Popes who worked with historians to determine the authenticity of ancient artifacts that either proved or contested the canonical teachings of the Bible--one of the more popular debunked samples being The Shroud of Turin, which while being ruled as a fake by Pope Clement the VII a long time ago, still has its authenticity being debated until today.
It’s important to remember that the canon status of ancient artifacts. while somewhat reliant on Papal confirmation, can sometimes be contested and interpreted to each individual’s discretion.
And among all of these artifacts, there is my favorite one of all--The Book of Judas. Now, factually speaking, the Gospel of Judas was written in (somewhere between 2 to) 5 A.D., not actually that farfetched considering that only in 1 A.D. was the first version of the Bible we know today written. It was found somewhere in Ancient Egypt but was declared as fiction at some point in 180 A.D. by St. Iranaeus of Lyon. To understand the impact that The Book of Judas would have on the Bible (which, to put it simply, was revolutionary), you’d first have to have a quick review and understanding of who Judas Iscariot was in the gospels that we know today.
Judas was a disciple.
He was one of the 12 disciples that were closest to Jesus and a disciple that most accounts of the story would say actually truly deeply loved him at some point. Judas was, as all memes about Christianity are fond of reminding, also the traitor that eventually chose money and greed over his love for God’s son and turned him in with a kiss in a garden that led to Jesus Christ’s death at the cross.
That is until you read the translations of the Book of Judas.
In the original books--whether it was because he was possessed by the Devil or simply a man who had fallen into greed--Judas was portrayed to be a sinner and a horrible traitor. After his betrayal and Jesus’ eventual death, Judas had then become guilt-ridden and anguished, choosing to end his own life in the Gospel of Matthew and even tarnishing a field with his blood and sins according to St. Luke in Acts.
The Book of Judas, however, CHALLENGES these motives. Instead, it takes what brought all past Christian texts together by changing the portrayal of Judas on its head and putting the previous ‘traitor’ under the light of something else entirely.
According to the Book of Judas, Jesus had asked Judas to betray him.
The 26-page manuscript was a brief retelling of the dynamics we were lead to believe in the story told by the main four books. In the Book of Judas, we were told that the original other 12 disciples were actually quite... foolish. They were described to be sort of arrogant and clueless, constantly misinterpreting and forgetting Jesus’ words because while he was teaching them to be better and to spread the words of God, the disciples were still, at their core, human sinners. The manuscript was believed to have reported that of the disciples that were closest, or at least best tolerated by Jesus--Judas was by far the most understanding of His words.
Judas, in accordance with his book, was the only one who could understand the significance and cryptic lessons behind Jesus’ teachings. Because of this, Jesus knew he was the only capable one to serve him in what was to come.
You see, part of the prophecy was that Jesus had to die. He had to suffer and fall for humanity’s sake so that we would be able to be forgiven. As much as it sucks to even think about it, Jesus had come to expect that someone would need to cause his death and hurt him all so that he could fulfill his purpose.
In the end, he thought that death by the hand of an enemy was far worse than a death at the hands of a friend.
During the Last Supper, Jesus approached Judas and placed him into a vision. He placed Judas in a fantastical, wonderful dream where Judas sat facing the house of heaven and saw Jesus. Jesus, who looked at his beloved friend and said: “you will exceed all of them. For you will sacrifice the man that clothes me.” Judas will exceed all of them. And he will sacrifice the man that clothed Jesus.
In this interpretation, Judas was essentially told that he was the one who would finally free Jesus from his physical form. Judas, the supposed traitor disciple, would be the one to fulfill Jesus’ prophecy and thus sacrificed his beloved friend to bring about forgiveness for humanity.
And he understands.
In this manuscript, Judas Iscariot understands the will of God and what he has to do. He understands the weight of his betrayal and what he has to do in order to obey Jesus--so then it isn’t money or fear or anger or evil that motivates him to surrender Jesus to the soldiers but utter obedience and adoration for the Son of God. Judas gives his ‘yes’, knowing that for years and years he will be slandered and labeled as a traitor but at his core, Judas knows that it was not a betrayal to begin with.
So he led the soldiers to Jesus in the garden. He kissed him and let him be taken away and let him die.
-
This was the official translation approved by BBC and National Geographic according to the original translations done by Stephen Emmel, a Coptic studies professional.
Later on, this interpretation would be challenged by Dr. April DeConick, who claims that the mistreatment and mistranslation of the paper actually told the complete opposite, in the way that the revelation in the Last Supper was not created by Jesus but, in fact, by Judas, who had revealed himself to be the 13th demon of hell. This interpretation, while less popular, served as a direct challenge to the recharacterization BBC and NatGeo had approved of. I don’t really know too much about this debate, but I do know that this second interpretation does exist.
Of course, the original Judas text itself is currently impossible to truly translate to be sure. It was torn and shuffled, put into a freezer, and possibly even missing a few pages (which you can blame Bruce Ferinni for), ultimately making the authentic manuscript really difficult to properly restore.
The takeaway from this whole Book though--whether you accept it as canon or not--is that there were many interpretations and beliefs early Christians and Gnostics had that the time that criticized the way the four main gospels had passed down God’s teachings. People believed what they thought supported their own beliefs and at the end of the day. it's all still just a matter of who we choose to credit.
The real author to the Book of Judas remains anonymous to this day, but I am very glad to have been able to share this with you all :)

Background One Second Gays/Last Minute Gays in Disney Movies
Disney has a very long history of making queer coded characters, mostly villains, and despite there being several opportunities in the past two decades to make characters that have actual speaking lines LGBT, there are next to none. Here are, to my knowledge, the only confirmed LGBT characters/couples in Disney movies.
Lefou and his dance partner. 2017 Beauty and the Beast.
Tumblr media
Lefou is in a good portion of the movie, and he clearly has something for Gaston, but when Gaston point blank asks Lefou why he isn’t with any girl, Lefou doesn’t have a gay panic moment where he tries to hide anything, or says he’s gay/bi. He gives a genuine answer that women just don’t like him, which implies that he truly wants to be with a woman. In the last five minutes of the movie Lefou is dancing with a woman and is smiling and having fun, than his partner leaves and is replaced with a man, and Lefou’s face turns to confusion and not a look of attraction, although the man seems interested in him. What I’m saying is that Disney said how proud they were of making Lefou gay, but had no true set up, had the character genuinely says they like women, than when he has his gay moment he looks uncomfortable, and not in a questioning-my-sexuality kind of way. Lefou is a last minute gay.
Officer Specter. Onward
Tumblr media
This character is far better than Lefou, but still falls in the one second gay category. She’s not in a good portion of the movie, but she does have speaking lines, and one of them is she mentions her girlfriend and her girlfriend’s daughter. She is probably the best character on this list, and that is sad because she’s in less than ten minutes of the movie and although we don’t need to, it would have been nice to see said family, even just a picture would suffice. Still she is only one of three characters on this list who makes it specifically clear that they are LGBT, while the others had to be confirmed outside the film by the film makers.
Bucky and Pronk
Tumblr media
They are introduced as Judy’s loud next door neighbors and were confirmed nine months after the films release that they were a married couple and not brothers, the actor for these two had to confirm it, and in four years Disney has not debunked it so its Canon, but could be debunked by disney if they feel like it. If they are a couple than that makes them the first LGBT couple in disney, and how were they portrayed, yelling and arguing at each other in every scene they are in except the nudist shot. They fall into the retroactively gay category, and In my eyes the disappointing category.
Bobby. Avengers: Endgame.
Tumblr media
Do you know how long it took me to find the name of this character. Five minutes, when all it should take is typing in “Gay grieving man in Endgame” into Google, but he was such a small character that I had to go through 3 different MCU wikia pages to find his name. He is one of the three confirmed for sure onscreen LGBT characters. He’s talking to Steve Rogers five year after the snap in group therapy about his date with a male character, and how he misses his previous boyfriend. If Valkyrie never gets confirmed onscreen this is all the MCU has. I classify him a one minute gay. (Side note Bobby here is taking to the man that risked his life multiple times to save the life of Bucky just so they an stay platonically together without Bucky asking him too, where as Peggy, the woman Cap marries at the end of this movie, begged Steve to get off the ship and we know there were parachutes, not that he needs them, and that once he changed the course of the plane he probably could have jumped ship to be with her, but instead choose suicide[He also thought Bucky was dead at this point.] So read into that as much as you want and think about how much sense the final scene of Endgame made.)
Commander Larma D'Acy and Lieutenant Wrobie Tyce. Star Wars: the Rise of Skywalker.
Tumblr media
Bet you also didn’t know the name of the woman D’Acy was kissing in this scene, did you? D’Acy was a minor character who was in all three sequel Star Wars movies and I honestly liked her even before I knew she was gay, but considering how much hype and teasing by ALL the actors that FinnPoe would become canon, this felt like a punch in the gut. In fact all they had to do was make the obviously gay Poe canonoticly gay but still single and I would have settled for that, but instead D’Acy, who was barely in the films and hadn’t mentioned her wife at all in 3 movies or are seen together before this point on screen, was the one to be confirmed on screen to be gay. These two fall under the last minute gays category.
Lesbian couple in Finding Dory and Lesbian Moms in Toy Story 4.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
If these two couple have names, I couldn’t find them. The first two should because I think one has a speaking role and therefore should be credited, but I couldn’t find it, if you know write a comment. The Finding Dory couple could literally just be friends and we would never know if Disney hadn’t been all like “Look at the gay characters we gave you, we’re so proud.” The mom’s in Toy Story 4 are more obviously a couple, especially in there second appearance in the end, but they are so far in the background that you could easily mistake the black mother for the Caucasian mom’s husband if Disney hadn’t again advertised these characters as there glorious representation. These two couple fall under the background/ confirmed off-screen one second gays category.
So in total, counting mentioned partners that never were on screen, the number of confirmed LGBT people in all of Disney is 15. After reading this I hope it becomes blaringly obvious why Disney needs more prominent LGBT representation. If this were done with racial representation Disney would not probably still be in business. Raya and Luca gives me hope, but only slightly, so if you want your Queer Disney fix, your going to have to stick to Tv, books, and shorts for now.

Got a question, what made you conclude that tulpamancy ISN'T cultural appropriation? Seeing how it's the popular opinion that it is I want to know what made you think it's not /gen
Funny you ask that because I wrote an entire essay about it right here: https://eeveecraft.tumblr.com/post/638147471205416960/here-we-go-again And here’s the follow-up post talking about people who read the first two blurbs and form their entire opinion around that and refuse to listen to logical arguments and evidence: https://eeveecraft.tumblr.com/post/638607043697278976/follow-up-post-on-here-we-go-again
EDIT: I’m adding this here, but this is a post  exposing the likely origins of what caused this myth to spread and why it’s not reliable in the slightest:
https://eeveecraft.tumblr.com/post/639853296099753984/likely-origin-of-tulpamancy-is-cultural
I’m going to sum up the first link for you:
-”Tulpa” wasn’t the original word, the original Tibetan word was “tul-ku” or “sprul-pa.” -Tulpa (as in the paranormal version, i.e. the old one) and tul-ku/sprul-pa both have completely different meanings.
-Tul-ku means to summon an incarnate deity while tulpa means a “magically produced illusion,” which this was from the 1900′s.
-Tulpa was translated like this due to figures like Kazi Dawa Samdup (who was very pivotal in translating Tibetan works for the west like the Tibetan Book of the Dead) who happened to be interested in English Theosophy and intentionally translated tulpa like that with Evan-Wentz.
-As such, this would be marked as cultural exchange and saying it’s appropriation ignores the agency of figures like Kazi Dawa Samdup just to fit the narrative of Tulpamancy being cultural appropriation, which in of itself is very sh!tty and hypocritical.
-Modern Tulpamancy simply means to create a new systemmate and has nothing to do with religion and the majority of the community sees it as a purely psychological phenomenon. For crying out loud, I’m an atheist.
-Literally anyone can create a tulpa and not know a single thing about Buddhism or Tibet, so why can a culture trademark something that literally anyone can do without realizing it? It’s a part of human experience. Literally 30% of Tulpamancers on r/Tulpas made their first tulpa without even realizing it.
-Actual cultural appropriation (Tumblr has watered down the meaning so bad, that practically anything can be appropriation by Tumblr’s standards) legitimately harms the culture it’s appropriating and takes from the culture without consent. Think of Native Americans having their artworks literally stolen and hung up in the homes of white people, THAT’S actual appropriation.
-Cultural exchange =/= cultural appropriation.
-The only link between Tibetan Buddhism and modern Tulpamancy is a single word that isn’t even appropriative.
-If taking a word from a language and transforming it is appropriation (fucking LOL), then the entire English language is appropriative of numerous other languages. That’s how ridiculous the logic of appropri-babies are.
-The reason why cultural appropriation isn’t hotly debated in the Tulpamancy community is simply because we know our community history and actually know what cultural appropriation is, thus it’s simply a non-issue.
And there you have it, anon. If you want sources, they’re linked in the first link I posted. In short: I actually do my damn research before forming an opinion on something and speaking about it like I know it. Appropri-babies act like they know the topic when they literally know nothing and just form baseless accusations that are easily debunked like I just did. They merely listen to popular opinion instead of actual fact, and it seriously pisses me off.
I hope this answers your question, anon.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You're suddenly in a beautiful part of the park. You didn't see this on your little mini tour, but it was magical. Spencer took you over to a giant tree on a small hill off the pond. The light from the moon made the water twinkle as the two of you sat under the tree. You felt like you were in a fairytale, and this was like a forest filled with fairy magic. It had rained a bit sometime in the late afternoon, so the ground beneath you and the leaves on the trees sparkled with dew drops. The sight of it all filled you with wonder. The night hadn't even really started yet and already you wished the sun never came up again. This couldn't end.
Spencer sat against the tree as he rummages through his bag to find his pen. "I'm speechless," You said as you sat down diagonal of him, "This place is breathtaking."
"I tend to come by here to read when I can't sleep or during the day having trouble on a case," said Spencer, "I found this spot around the time I first joined the BAU. It keeps me grounded."
You grab your pen out of your bag and hold it in your hands, waiting for Spencer. He finally finds his in the bottom of his bag and takes it out. You click your pens on and Spencer froze, not knowing what to do.
"Do we...cheers?" He asks, "Like we do when we drink?"
"Not usually, no," you chuckled, "But if you want to we can."
"You sound like you've done this before, Y/N."
"Meh, I experimented a bit in high school and college. But I never did it everyday like my classmates. Just here and there if I was really stressed."
Spencer brings his pen close to yours. "Well, cheers!" He says awkwardly.
"Cheers!" You giggle.
You both take three or four hits. On the last hit, Spencer started coughing. "Did you accidentally take a really big hit?" You ask.
"I think-" He coughs again, "-so!"
After his little coughing attack, you both laugh. You shift your weight onto your elbows. Legs straight out, you let the high take over your body. Spencer puts his head against the tree. He takes a couple more hits and let's it hit him. You start to feel the tingles again through your body and your eyes getting heavy.
"I wonder what the percentage of these carts are," you said, "I should ask Garcia."
"It must be a lot if I already feel like I smoked a whole blunt by myself."
"Well I was gonna that it's just because you're a beginner so you'll be a lightweight, but now you sound like you've done this before, Doctor."
"I swear I just know my research! I've never smoked before last night."
"Mmhmm, surrrre," you said as you started to get up from the ground, using the tree as support, "I'm sure it was just for that paper."
You grab your bag and rub the grass and dirt that was on your pants. You give a hand to Spencer as he gets up and you start heading outside of the park. You both stood there, looking around. "So, is there anywhere you'd like to revisit?"
You think for a moment. "How about the Lincoln Memorial?"
"Perfect!"
He lends his arm out and you link yours with his as you walk to the Lincoln Memorial. There was a nice cool breeze as you walked under the city lights, your blurry vision making it feel like you were in a movie. You looked up at Spencer and saw that his eyelids were a little bit lower than usual. You felt panic hit you as you unlock your phone and open snapchat. Turning the flash on, you look at the top of your phone and took a photo. You looked at your eyes and noticed they were a bit pink, but nothing to worry about.
"You ok?" asked Spencer.
"Yeah, I'm fine. My eyes get red easily when I'm high so I'm just checking."
"My dear, you look quite marvelous if I do say so myself!" He says, using a british accent, which made you laugh.
Finally, you made it to the memorial. You debated on climbing all those steps to the top, but Spencer made a bet that he could beat you to the top, and you weren't going to back out of a challenge. You both speed up the steps but Spencer beats you.
"Who's the pussy now, huh?" Spencer teases from what you said the night before, out of breath.
You put your hands on your knees, trying to catch yours. "Very funny, Doctor."
Once your breathing went back to normal, you slowly walked closer to the statue, admiring it. "You know," you began, "While my love for crime fighting was my whole life, I had a small interest in President Lincoln. I have no clue why, but I've been reading books about him since I was 4."
You paused for a moment, then turned around to face Spencer. "I have a fact for you, Doctor," you began, but then Spencer cut you off.
"You know you can call me Spencer or Spence, right? Come to think of it, you're the only one who calls me Spence."
"Ok, well Spence,"  you restated, "Have you heard of the theory that he might've been a closeted gay or bisexual man?"
"No actually, I haven't heard much on it only that it was debunked."
"That is true, but if it wasn't debunked I'd see him more as a closeted bisexual man, not gay."
"Why do you say that?" asked Spencer.
"Because people always forget about it. Bisexuality is real. He truly loved Mary with all his heart and would do anything for her, but I'm sure he questioned his sexuality at some point and just never went deeper into it."
You paused again, seeing if he was paying attention. You then turn back to face Lincoln and continued, "Take Freddie Mercury, for example. Now when he came out to his Mary, he came out as bisexual. But the public just took it as that he was gay because bisexuality wasn't seen by the public as a real sexuality, even Mary. It makes me angry at how long biphobia went on for. As someone who is bisexual, I don't want to feel like a ghost. I want to feel real."
Spencer slowly walks up behind you and puts a hand on your shoulder. He turns you around and you look up at him with glassy, pink-colored eyes. "Y/N, you are real. Everything about you is to me."
You put your hand on top of his, not breaking the look into each other's eyes. Or well, what you could see through his eyelids.
*The two of you then headed down the steps carefully and continue on your tour. But it slowly ended as you ended up walking down the empty streets. At one point, you ended up on cobble road. The two of you were pretty baked, as you would take more hits whenever no one was looking or there weren't too many people walking or driving. Spencer began to act like he was on a tight rope as he walked along parking blocks. He held your hand for support, trying not to fall and twist his ankle.
*You felt content. You never really experienced something like this before, but you always dreamt about it. You never really went out much when you were in school. You focused all your time in your room, working  on schoolwork and keeping up with what Rossi was doing in the BAU and the cases they were working on.  Rossi was like an idol to you. Ever since you met him, you wanted to do what he was doing; Saving people and getting the bad guys, protecting citizens. But you always dreamt of having an adventure like this with a true friend, and even though you had only known Spencer for a week now, he already was like that true friend.
*But you were also feeling something more. There was something about Spencer holding your hand that just felt...right. It was so hard to explain, even to yourself as you tried to figure out what you were feeling exactly. Maybe it was just the high you were feeling, but looking at his face, Spencer seemed to be quite cute. So cute, that you felt butterflies.
*He jumps off a parking block under a tall street lamp and grabs your other hand in his. He looks down to you as you look up. Finally, his lips lock with yours and you don't stop him. You kiss him back as your arms wrapped around each other, feeling every inch of each other's bodies.
Spencer breaks the kiss and cups your face in his hands. "Do you want to continue our little fun we had the other night?" he asked, almost in a raspy tone.
You nodded and kissed him again.
The Pendulum Guide
Let’s start at the beginning… What is a pendulum?
A pendulum is a small weight on a string or chain. That’s it. It can be any weight, and it can be any sort of string or chain. Normally they are small. The weight is normally an object about 1/2 inch by 1 inch in size. The chain or string is usually about 8 inches long. The whole thing fits easily in a small pocket.
Throughout history pendulums have been used to locate water, gold, gems, and other valuable items. In Europe early scientists and doctors would use pendulums to locate infections and weak areas of the body. Doctors would also use certain pendulums to determine the gender of unborn infants.
People also trust the pendulum enough and have developed such a relationship to let the the pendulum guide them with the most difficult spots of their lives. During WWII, a pendulum was used to help him locate bombs. Many miners from South Africa will invite pendulists to help them locate precious minerals in the earth. These small wonders have a long history.
What can I use a pendulum for?
Ah, it is a wondrous tool. Quite simply you can use it to answer almost any question you might have. Now be advised that it can only say “yes” or “no” so you do have to work at the answers a bit. But with that, the uses are almost boundless. Will I get a job? Will I marry? Should I move to California? Should I go out with her? Is Friday a good day for the party?
Of course at this point, you have an obvious question, “how does the pendulum know the answer?”
How does a pendulum work?
Quite simply, a pendulum react to your subconscious mind. When held properly, the pendulum will react to very small nerve reactions in your fingers that are generated by your unconscious mind in response to a question poised. Different nerve reactions will be detected depending on what your subconscious mind knows.
These nerve reactions are transmitted to your fingers from your unconscious mind and thru your fingers to the chain holding the weight of the pendulum. These tiny never transmissions affect the chain and are then transmitted thru the chain to the weight –causing it to move in some direction.
So to debunk the first myth, a pendulum is not moved by some spirit, or by magic, it is moved by your mind, just the part you can’t normally communicate with very well. But, there is some “magic” If we can figure out how to interpret the signals from the subconscious mind, we can communicate with it! It can tell us things our conscious mind doesn’t know.
Where are my keys?
For example, Let’s say you lost your keys. Well, probably you actually know where you left your keys. You were there at the time. However, your conscious mind was doing something else. It didn’t register where you were when you put them down. Your subconscious mind however wasn’t busy and it knows. Now you want your conscious mind to know, so you can go get them.
So out comes the pendulum. You need it to have your subconscious mind tell you where the keys are.
How does a pendulum move?
Now, a pendulum can only move in about four directions. It can move back and forth towards and away from you; it can move left and right, in can swing in a circle counter-clockwise, or it can swing in a circle clockwise. That’s about it.
So how can it say “Your keys are in the garage”?
Well, that takes us to the need to “set up” our mind to use a pendulum. Let’s see how we do that, then we can come back to finding our keys.
How do I set up to use a pendulum?
To use a pendulum, you need to be able to read its motions.
Here’s how: First, sit in a chair at a table in a quite place, preferable alone. Put one elbow on the table and let the pendulum dangle from your fingers. Prop your elbow with your other hand. Hold the chain between your thumb and forefinger with just enough force to keep from dropping the pendulum. The pendulum should be free to move and be one to two inches of the table. Now relax.
Let the pendulum swing as it will until it settles down motionless. Just watch it and think about it coming to rest.
When it is just hanging down, motionless, think of the word “YES.”
Ask yourself some questions in which the answer is a resounding “YES.”
Am I alive?
Am I smart?
You get the idea. Now the pendulum will eventually begin to move
. Keep working the “YES” in your mind.
Speak it out loud if you like. What you are seeking is to get a consistent result in the movement of the pendulum when you mean “YES” Now this can take some folks a few minutes and it can take a day or two for others.
Be patient. If you need a couple of sessions to get it right, take them.
Next, we need to know how the pendulum react when we think of “NO”. Follow the same approach. But this time think about the word “NO” Ask questions that have “NO” as the answer. Be patient. Eventually the pendulum will move in a consistent manner different than when you though of “YES”
Now this process may take a day or so, and four or five sessions to get down pat. Don’t worry. Once its done, its done forever.
Now you need to practice and gain confidence. When you can get a reliable “Yes” movement in response to questions that you know have “yes” as the right answer, and you can get a reliable “NO” movement to questions that you know are not true, then you are ready to use a pendulum. For most people we have found this takes a few days. Be religious with your practice. There… you are set up to use a pendulum.
How do I use the pendulum?
Now that you are “calibrated” and you know which way the pendulum will move when it is saying “YES” and you know which way it will move when it says “NO” you are ready for the next step. We now need to learn two more ways that the pendulum will answer questions. Sometimes the pendulum will simply not know an answer. So we need to learn how it will tell us that. And, sometimes the pendulum will just not want to answer a question. How does it tell you that?
Well, once you have a reliable “yes” and a reliable “no”, it is time to take the next step in understanding your pendulum. We now need to know when our pendulum is saying “I don’t know”, and when it is saying “I just don’t want to answer right now.”
Ok Let’s go back to the question we were working on awhile ago – “Where are my keys?”
Take you pendulum and hold it the same way as when you were practicing. Now we have a problem. The pendulum only knows two words! YES, and NO. (It can also say “I don’t know” and “I don’t want to answer”, but we will hope that it is being cooperative!)  What  it can’t say is  “you left your keys in the garage, dummy!” It can only answer “YES” and “NO” questions. So, you have to play a game with it.
You must carefully ask a series of questions that when answered “YES” or “NO” will lead you to what you want to know.
So in our example, we might ask “Are my keys in the house?” We should get a movement indicating “NO” We might ask if they are in the yard. We might get a “NO” again. We might ask “Are they in the garage?” Now we should get a “YES” and we can go find them there.
What can I use the pendulum for?
Finding lost items: As in our example, if you want to find where you left something, ask the pendulum a series of questions to narrow down your search. Like, Did I leave them in the house? Did I leave them in the living room?
Finding out how you really feel: This is an important use. For example, Do I want to have children? Do I want to have more than one child? Do I want to have just one boyfriend?
Finding out what you really want: Do I want to take a vacation this summer? Will I have more fun in the mountains or at the beach? Do I want to go to Mexico or Alaska?
Making a choice or decision: Do I want to go to the movies? Do I want really to take French this year?
What kind of pendulum do I need?
You are probably wondering which pendulum would be right for you. The simple answer is to use the one that you feel is right at the time. In other words, make sure it appeals your inner child, your intuition, and your subconscious.
Now the thing is that you will find your intuition will tell you to use different ones at different times. For many people it seems that the mind’s eye is looking for a certain color ray for certain purposes.
For example people will seem to want to use a red or pink crystal when making decisions affecting the heart, like picking a mate, deciding on going on a date, or deciding if someone will be the only boyfriend.
Red crystals contain the red ray of passion, love and courage.
If love is what you’re looking for than wouldn’t it make sense to own a pendulum that amplifies the power of love and compassion?
If you had questions about a decision and you were concerned with safety, you might be drawn to a black crystal. Black crystals have protection energy. Maybe you are just examining your creativity and wonder if you should take up painting. You might well be drawn to a Amethyst.
Our customers have a variety of colors and crystal pendulums and use them as each “feels right” Your mind might be drawn to one particular crystal or you might always be using a different one. We can only advise exploration. Try some and see how they work and how they respond. Do a little more research, practice, and amaze yourself.
A few books that I would suggest include “The Practical Pendulum Book” by D. Jurriaanse, “Pendulum Magic for Beginners” by Richard Webster, “Pendulums and the Light” by Diane Stein, “Power Pendulum Magic” by Roberto Gadini, and the “Pendulum Healing Handbook” by Walter Lubeck.
Good luck 🍀
Paraiba Tourmaline Sacrifices (Part 1)
Rating: Young Adult/YA
Fandom: Psycho Pass
Relationship: Ginoza Nobuchika/Shimotsuki Mika
Characters: Ginoza Nobuchika, Shimotsuki Mika, Frederica Hanashiro, Kei Mikhail Ignatov, Shindo Arata, Kougami Shinya, Sugo Teppei
Language: English
Part: 2
__________________________________________________________
How odd.
Not wanting to waste her time any longer, Shimotsuki Mika calls one of her subordinate. But the person who is now several miles away from her doesn’t pick up the call. It is getting late, and it is out of the schedule plan. It’s sunday, most people probably stay at their house or go out with their family or friends enjoying their day off. But a crime doesn’t care of your beloved day off, it strikes whenever it wants, like it or not. Nearly five hours ago, she rechieved a report to investigate a murder case inside a jewelry shop. She handed it to Division One as it fits with the capability of the aimed division. Their last conversation happened four hours ago, and she hasn’t received further progress from them. According to the report she received, the owner of the jewelry shop is an immigrant from Sri Lanka. She has a hunch that this case will involve The Ministry of Foreign Affairs’s Suppressing Action Departement, or easily known as “S.A.D”. Their involvement is what worries her. She wonders if her subordinates have bumped into them. It’s nothing serious, but she has personal grudge with their assistant officer, who took away her ex-subordinates from her, most of all those who actually capable, and even though she doesn’t want to admit it, her trusted one.
The case is about a murder of an immigrant shop owner, Ranuvitha Semel, who is suspected on having a connection to the black market. The suspect is his own business partner. Ranuvitha used to sells jewelry, as he born from a country which famous of its gemstone. The current missions is to investigate Ranuvitha Semel himself, his business, the person who is suspected as his murderer and lastly, the black market itself. His action on doing such a business without Sibyl noticing is definitely odd. At first, some suspected him as a criminally asyptomatic, before it got debunked as his records shows that he is an ordinary man. The report came after a suspicious actions regarding the business and their sudden increase on purchase numbers.
Several hours later, she finally gets a call. The words on the screen pops up, it’s inspector Kei Mikhail Ignatov.
“How is it?” she asks.
“We are still investigating the matter, inspector Arata just contacted analyst Karanomori to track the suspect after we found out that the now deceased owner of the shop, Ranuvitha Semel, is indeed related with the black market which connected with several countries, including Sri Lanka itself, as his supplier and business partner” the man answers.
“He is a first generation immigrant, all document that isn’t registered and connected with his previous life must still be there—“
“That’s the problem, the suspect took it together with a gemstone, paraiba tourmaline” he adds.
“And how is that possible?”
“We are too late to stop the suspect, I supposed—“
“YOU!” she yells and continues,
“Such a thing like this happened because of your incapability! are you two taking this seriously or not?!”
“We are going to track him down right now, I won’t let such a thing happens again” he says with a sigh.
“AS YOU SHOULD!” she ends the call abruptly, and leans on her chair. She takes a deep breath, and tries to control her anger, which is difficult. While she still controlling her emotions, a video call pops up,
“How is there?” says a woman with honey-blonde hair while smiling teasingly to the screen. The person she wishes to see the least today.  Hanashiro Frederica, an Assistant Officer of Suppressing Action Departement.
“What do you want?!”
“How’s your team doing?” Frederica smiles, but Shimotsuki knows so well what’s behind that smile.
“We are still investigating, and if you and your guys interfere our process, I won’t stay still” Shimotsuki says while pointing her finger to the screen.
“Well, too bad because my people already down there. You know that this also be a case for Ministry of Fereign Affairs” Frederica says. Of course Shimotsuki knows that, but she despises every involvement that come from MoFA. Once again, because of her personal grudge and her dislikeness towards Hanashiro Frederica. The woman on the screen continues,
“Now then, let’s share informations don’t we?” her smile fades, and her voice becomes more serious. But Shimotsuki can’t give anything as her team failed to capture the suspect and now playing Tom and Jerry on the road. She doesn’t want to admit that to her, she’s furious with her current situation, but she tries to be professional.
“My team are still investigating the matter, and if you want information, go ask the people from your own department” she cuts the video call, and returns leaning on her chair. It takes several minutes until she comes back focusing with her own tasks.
It’s getting late, and the sky becomes darker. On the street, behind those wall, and under the bridge, something is creeping. In the world under Sibyl System, Japan has turned into something else. It is peace, but it is also hides monstrosity. It says that people who lives in Japan are good people, because every people with bad personality went to jail, or just, ‘gone’. But who says that good people can’t hate? Who thinks that good people can’t kill? Good people can do what bad people do. It’s just that when they do them, they call it justice. At least, that’s come from a book she ever read before.
Shimotsuki plans to go home, but she hasn’t received anything from her subordinates, so she decides to stay longer in the office. But she’s too impatient, so she calls them instead,
“Progr—“ she says but her words get cuts,
“Chief, what a coincidence I just plan to reach you” the man says, he’s Inspector Shindo Arata.
“Continue…”
“We have captured the suspect, he’s unconscious now. We also collected some evidences regarding his business and it’s connection with the black market” Arata explains.
“And…?”
“Ranuvitha Semel didn’t know that he was doing a business with a black market, that explain why his crime coefficient stays normal. The black market is hiding under a registered company with the name ‘Hidaka Corporation’, which also the main supplier for a big production company” he adds,
“Big company?” she murmur, “—how is the product, anything strange?” she asks.
“Nothing suspicious with the mass products, but for valuable items like jewelry and gemstone we found out that they mixed unlicensed chemical powder with the gemstone, which can dissolve when you mixed with certain degree of hot water, and um…other things that is now being analyzed by Karanomori Shion-san” a drugs. So they sells gemstones as disguise through a jewelry store to their consumers. That answers the question on why the number of purchases increases for something that people don’t often buy.
“Have you investigate the customers?” she asks.
“We got the data already, and I’ll send them to you”
“Alright, now get back to the office and brings the evidence from the black market”
“Well about that, Chief…” Arata says, nervously.
“We are now with the Suppressing Action Departement from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and they asked for the evidence for further investigation purp—“
“HAH?! NO THEY ARE NOT!”
“Stay right there and don’t let them move any inch! I’ll go to your current location!” Shimotsuki takes her bag and runs towards the lift across her office.
***
Shimotsuki starts her car and sets it to auto-pilot, while she calls towards Frederica Hanashiro.
“I know you will call me” the woman from other side says, she’s still at her office just like when she called her in the evening.
“If you know then stop your people from snatching away of what supposed to be mine!”
“I see, you are on your way to them right? Then I don’t have to bring myself there, one of us is enough” she smiles, and it’s testing Shimotsuki’s patience once again.
“You are not answering me!”
“Ara, in the end the upper will ask us to investigate it after all” Frederica says,
“Then it’s them to decide and not you!”
“We will invite you to our office to discuss this, take this as a request from The Ministry of Foreign Affairs to negotiate with you”
“And if I refuse?”
“We will apply for a request again” Frederica smirks, she knows that she will get that no matter what. Shimotsuki knows damn well that shes’s that kind of person. And she hates it. At the moment like this, she sometimes wondering what will her senior will do. But thinking about Tsunemori Akane only frustrated her. Not that she hates her, she used too, but as time passes by, Akane is the only senior she looks up onto, and one of people she care for. Even now.
Shimotsuki arrives at the location, the whole Division One is there, also three people from Suppressing Action Departement. Including him. Her trusted one.
She gets out from her car, staring at her subordinates and then to S.A.D. Shindo Arata and Kei Mikhail Ignatov comes to her, and giving her a ‘salute’ pose. She responds to them, and stares back to S.A.D. Her ex-subordinates, Sugo Teppei, walks towards her. She knows what he going to say, but still letting him to say it himself.
“Our chief invited you for a meeting with us to discuss this matter” he says calmly, and he adds
“Just you” Shimotsuki sighs.
“What?” says Kei, feeling unacceptable. And before he shouts at Sugo, Shimotsuki stops him,
“I only accept the offer if you let my two inspectors attending the meeting, other than that, I decline” she says, Sugo looks at his team mates, and they nod to each others.
“Very well” he answers.
They hold the meeting in the meeting room inside the Ministry of Foreign Affairs tower. The room is quiet spacious for a room with just one medium-size coffee table, two big and small dark brown couches. The room is sets with warm temperature since it strats snowing outside. There is three huge windows covered the wall and exposing the outside which is now dark and various color of lights from the city starts appearing. Outside, people are selling Christmas ornaments and cookies. She just realizes that it’s Christmas eve tonight. Shimotsuki didn’t celebrate Christmas last year, she off for work. And it’s looks like it will not be any different for this year too. Even though, she doesn’t really mind, but the longing to rest and relax her mind are strong. The S.A.D team enters the room, it looks like they have been discussing something for a while, but letting the guests waiting while you are the one who invited them quite irritates Shimotsuki.
“You sure took a while” Shimotsuki says as they enters the room.
“Paradon us, we are discussing something”
“Do mind it, my side also has something to do too” she says with annoyed tone.
“Well then, let’s get into the business” Frederica says as she glances towards a man with pony-tail, Ginoza Nobuchika. The man nods, and shares a file to all people in the room. They opens it through their device. The screen shows several profiles of immigrants and also Japanese citizens.
“Let me explain what our side purpose and need is. Before this, we are currently investigating some certain immigrants and Japanese citizens who are involved with the black market under the company of Hidaka Corporation and their connection to a big production company. But we found no evidence since they are using normal products to big company. We try to investigate Hidaka Hikoichi, who is currently the CEO of Hidaka Corporation, but found out he knows nothing regarding the black market under his own company, which was proven right. Until we got a report of suspicious action from a jewelry shop that runs by immigrant. We suspected it has something to do with our previous case of black market under Hidaka Corporation. We can’t continue to progress our previous case without evidence, now that this case brings it, we offer you a help and reach for a bigger goal” he explains.
“How is that profitable to our side?” Shimotsuki says, she frowns. He chuckles and continues,
“We believe MWPSB is a non-profit organization, and of course we will also give our collected reports regarding the Japanese citizens who works under Hidaka Corporation and connected with the black market to you” he adds.
“That is not apple to apple. I give you the evidence, you step further from where you are now, you give me the reports it only enrich my my final report to the higher ground” Shimotsuki says as she crosses her arms, staring at him. But the man who sits in front of her doesn’t shudder, instead he smiles at her. She doesn’t know what the meaning of it, but she doesn’t like it. That look he gives to her is somewhat saying that she’s only a kid who is yet to understand this kind of thing.
“Our report also consists regarding what inside the gemstone, since these people we have investigated might involved with the making of the fake gemstone. Each type of gemstone apparently represents different kind of drugs” he says calmly, still with the same smile.
“What do you mean?” Kei asks.
“This is still our assumptions, but if you accept the offer then you might prove our assumptions. For example we suspect they have cocaine for ruby, cannabis for aquamarine, and ecstasy for sapphire” Ginoza answers. This reminds Shimotsuki of what Inspector Kei mentioned before about paraiba tourmaline.
“There are several type of gemstones which Ranuvitha Semel offers, but according to our investigation, three or perhaps more types of them are connected with this case” Ginoza adds, while sending a file to Shimotsuki and her subordinates. Cocaine for ruby, cannabis for aquamarine, ecstasy for sapphire, and what’s for paraiba tourmaline? There is no tourmaline left, even when her team finally caught the suspect, the paraiba tourmaline has already gone.
Even though, she hates to admit it, she feels tempted. It shows all over her face.
“We can use this Chief” says Arata beside her.
“I can agree with that” Kei adds while looking at the report. Shimotsuki glances at Ginoza’s face, to make it more specific, his ‘winning’ face. Besides him, there is Hanashiro Frederica, who also shows the same expressions, while the other two, Shinya Kougami and Sugo Teppei stays with their unreadable faces. She finally comes to conclusion,
“Alright, i take the offer! With this we are now even, internal matters are our turf. Do not ever interfere with our matters again!” she sees Ginoza with a smirk on his face. She reaches her peak of patience.
“Alright, then it settled” Frederica says while getting up and walks leaving the room, follows by Shinya Kougami and Sugo Teppei.
“It’s nice to have a deal with you, kanshikan” Ginoza says, definitely on purpose.
“kanshikan—“ she murmur, then follows with ‘hmph!’ while leaving the room.
Outside the meeting room, Kougami walks towards Ginoza.
“What’s wrong” Ginoza asks, Kougami only gives a smile.
“Nothing, it’s just you seem enjoying yourself” Kougami says.
“What do you mean?”
“You seem enjoy teasing your own junior” he answers.
“She is not my junior, she is my superior”
“was” Kougami corrects him. He chuckles,
“Right, ‘was’”.
***
The snow is getting a little bit thicker, Shimotsuki is out of Ministry of Foreign Affairs building while watching over her two subordinates, Inspector Kei Mikhail Ignatov and Shindo Arata, leaves the place by car. A white smoke comes out from her mouth, she rubs her palm to warms herself as she walks towards her own car.
“Kanshikan” someone calls over her, and it is no doubt from whom the voice is. Ginoza approaches her while she is about to open the car’s door.
“Saying, kanshikan, are you trying to mock me?” she answers, almost like shouting at him.
“I never intend it like that” he lets out a small laughs.
“Then, what do you want from me now?” she asks, ignoring his laugh.
“Nothing, it’s just are you free tonight?”
“Why are you asking?” she stares at him dumbfoundly, but Ginoza doesn’t answer the question.
“I have to work tomorrow, now that you add more into my work lists” she adds while opens the car’s door but Ginoza suddenly holds the door and closes it back. Shimotsuki stares at him questioningly. He walks closer to her, and whispers to her ear
“Kanshikan, will you accompany me just for tonight?” his breaths feels so hot over her skin, and it gives her shivers.
“Wha-what are you doing?!” she yells while her face is blushing. But Ginoza stay still with his awkward position.
“What happens with you?” she asks once again, but more gentle than before, noticing his weird behavior. Something is wrong, she thinks.
“Alright then, just for tonight right” she says while pushes him from her. He lets out another chuckles, and lands a kiss on the left side of her lips.
“Thank you”
To be continue
“Behind The Shelves” Pt. 2
(A Wolfstar College AU)
•••
Days passed, the air got cooler, and eventually a week had come and gone since the library incident.
I don’t know what I was expecting, Remus thought, It was stupid of me to think he was actually interested.
He tugged at his jacket collar as he walked across the college quad, trying to shield his neck from the cold breeze that was blowing through. His eyes were glued to the book in his hands, trying to finish just this one chapter as he was on his way to his final class of the day.
He should’ve been looking where he was going —that much he can admit— but that still didn’t stop the growl that sounded from his throat when a running body slammed into him, causing him to drop the book he was holding.
“Shit, let me get that for you,” the stranger said.
Remus ignored the voice and bent down to grab the discarded literature when he noticed a tan hand, rings littering the fingers, reaching out at the same time. His eyes slowly lifted up to the owner of the hand and he was suddenly completely awestruck.
“Sirius?” Remus asked, hardly above a whisper.
The boy in question looked up, Remus’ book in hand, wearing a hardened expression. This face was much different than the one he had seen just a week ago, he had seemed to lack that playful vigor from before. The tan boy was quick to cover it up, though, letting a smirk spread across his full lips.
“Remus, babe,” Sirius answered, handing the book over, “Lovely to see you again.”
Remus rolled his eyes at the sudden pet name, but was honestly doing his best to fight of the blush it was causing to rush to his cheeks. He slowly rose to his feet, clutching the book close to his chest.
“Yeah, lovely,” he said curtly.
“I would apologize for bumping into you like that, but in all honesty I am not at all sorry since it means I get to look at that pretty face of yours,” Sirius smiled smoothly, running a hand through his hair.
Remus was mesmerized with the way the light wind made it blow around his face ever so slightly, falling into those shining silver eyes. He wanted to reach out and touch it himself, feel it run between his fingers.
“So, are you just coming from a class?” Remus asked, completely ignoring the other boy’s flirtatious remark.
“Yeah, actually,” Sirius smiled, raising up his hands, the palms of which were dotted with different shades of paint, “Just came from Figurtive Painting, got to stare at a naked girl for an hour and a half. What a sight she was.”
“Oh,” was all Remus could push out.
Had he read the situation wrong? Was the flirting and invitations on dates all just some joke? Or maybe even just in his imagination altogether?
Was Sirius not actually interested in boys?
Why should you care, you turned him down, he internally scolded himself.
“But you know,” Sirius sang out, snapping Remus out of his trance, “I have a project coming up, a painting due. The assignment is Desire; we’re supposed to paint what our heart longs for. Would you fancy being my muse?”
Once again, the remark caught Remus off guard, causing his eyes to widen slightly. He tried to find any sense of falsehood and teasing in Sirius’ eyes, but there was none. It almost looked like he was genuinely asking.
“Sorry, you’ll have to find someone else,” he declined.
Sirius wasn’t surprised by the statement, if anything he had been expecting it. If he were being honest he had only brought up the proposition in hopes of seeing that faint blush spread across Remus’ freckled nose. And Sirius was kind of a fan of the little game of cat and mouse Remus was making them play.
Hell, he’s gonna drive me mad, Sirius thought.
“You wound me, Remus” he gasped dramatically, the corners of his mouth tugging up devilishly, “As if I could ever find someone else that would be acceptable by my standards.”
Remus scoffed, turning his eyes away from the boy. “You’re making me late for class,” he stated bluntly, though a smile was playing at his lips.
“My apologies,” Sirius drawled out, pulling a cigarette from his pocket, “However can I make it up to you?”
Remus watched intently as Sirius lit up the bud, placing it gently between his teeth. He thought for a moment, pondered over some ideas, before finally deciding what he would like.
“I have closing shift again tonight, you can bring me by some chocolate.”
“Chocolate, eh?” Sirius chuckled, taking a long drag, “If I knew that was the way to your heart I would have gotten you some a week ago.”
Remus rolled his eyes and nodded at the cigarette in Sirius’ hand. “That’s against school policy, ya know. Smoking on campus is against the rules.”
The tan boy simply laughed, twirling the stick between his fingers gracefully. His eyes never left Remus’ as he blew a light puff of smoke out of the corner of his mouth.
“Sorry, Sir.”
Those two words were enough to make Remus’ face flush in an instant, his heart skipping a beat inside of his chest.
Had it been anyone else saying those words, they would have been meaningless. It was the fact that Sirius had said them —and they way he said it— that caused him to become flustered. It was just embarrassing how much of an affect this boy had on him, really.
He quickly turned away, taking the first step in the direction of his last class.
“Yeah, well, just put it out,” he grumbled as he took his leave, not even sparing the other a parting glance.
Sirius chuckled as he watched him go, his eyes maybe drifting down Remus’ backside just once —or twice— before finally landing on the back of his head. His feet started dragging backwards and he put out the cigarette on a nearby trash can before throwing it in.
“See you tonight!” Sirius called after him.
Oh, he loved that look on Remus’ face, absolutely desired it. The completely flustered and caught of guard stare, how his hazel eyes would shoot wide open. He wanted to see it more often.
He hadn’t stopped thinking about Remus ever since that day in the library. James even threatened to kick him out of their dorm because he wouldn’t shut up about it. He swore up and down that it was love at first sight, and he was going to make Remus fall in love with him, too.
Soon it became time for Remus’ shift and he actually found himself getting jittery when he though of Sirius stopping by. He knew he shouldn’t look too far into it, but he just couldn’t help it when he had went so long without having experienced something like this.
Every time the door jingled he would snap his head up to see who it was, each time being a little too disappointed when it wasn’t who he wanted it to be. Until around seven, when in through the door walked none other than the charming and dashing Sirius.
Remus did his best to fight off a smile, but the best he could manage was a slightly crooked grin. He tried not to stare when he saw Sirius tugging off his leather jacket as he made his way up to Remus’ counter.
“One order of chocolate here for delivery, babe,” Sirius smiled widely, sliding the box across the counter top.
Remus wasn’t sure how, but Sirius had managed to get the exact brand and flavor that was his all time favorite. He stared down at the chocolates for a moment before grabbing them and placing them next to his phone and keys.
“Don’t call me babe,” Remus said, “And I didn’t actually expect you to get me these.”
“Anything for you,” the other cooed, leaning on his elbows over the counter, “Can I get a thank you kiss?”
Remus huffed and placed a hand over Sirius’ lips, tilting his head. Sirius looked a little confused at first, but didn’t even make an attempt to move away.
“In your dreams.”
Sirius smirked against Remus’ hand, wrapping his slim fingers around the pale boy’s wrist and pulling it away just enough so that he could speak.
“Oh, we do way more than kiss in my dreams, babe,” he teased, leaning even closer, “C’mon don’t be scared, I don’t bite.”
Remus cleared his throat, yanking his hand out of Sirius’ grasp and grabbing his clipboard. When his eyes met Sirius’ again, there was a playful glint in them, almost mischievous.
“I do.”
For the first time since Sirius had met him, Remus made him speechless. A hot blush rose to his face as he watched the sandy haired boy walk away, almost swearing that he saw a smirk tugging at those chapped lips.
He had pegged Remus as the innocent type, I mean, he checked all the boxes —quiet, work focused, easily flustered— but just those two words threw that entire analogy out the window.
It only made Sirius want him more.
Sirius followed after him, watching with close eyes as Remus would mark things off on his clipboard. Sometimes he would lean against the shelves and Remus would shoo him out of the way if he were blocking a book he needed to see. Sirius wanted to know everything about him, especially now that Remus had just took their little game to a whole new level.
“So, babe, when’s our date?”
“Pardon?” Remus asked, not even attempting to debunk the pet name this time.
“I brought you chocolate, I think that means I get a date,” Sirius smiled, taking steps up to Remus, “You can decline again, but I’m not going to stop asking until you say yes.”
Somehow, Remus knew he wasn’t kidding.
The dark headed boy was only inches from him now, looking directly into his eyes. If his goal was to drive Remus absolutely mad from the proximity, then he was doing a damn good job. Remus sighed, turning his eyes back to the clipboard in his hands and walking down the aisle.
“I told you before, I don’t do dates,” Remus said bluntly.
Sirius felt his heart sink for a moment as he followed, but only until Remus paused and turned around to face him.
“But, I wouldn’t mind a study session. Whether you need to work on anything or not, I have a big test coming up in a few days.”
Sirius was confused for a moment, he wasn’t sure what Remus was trying to imply. He knew there was no way in hell this genius looking boy could be asking for help from him.
“I’m off tomorrow, but I plan on coming here to study since my roommate is always snogging some random girl in our dorm. You can accompany me if you like, but if you distract me too much—”
“Me? Distracting? Never,” Sirius cut him off, flashing him an innocent smile.
“Whatever,” Remus mumbled, turning around to hide the smile on his face, “I’ll be here at five, I plan on studying for a while so you don’t have to stay the entire time.”
“Alright, it’s a date.”
A date.
As much as he didn’t want to admit it, Remus really liked the sound of that.
My opinion on some of the Netflix Sandman rumors
We fans don’t have much in the way of substantial news about The Sandman Netflix series.  All we have are rumors and gossip.   I have compiled some of the rumors here along with my opinions on those rumors.  Consider this a disclaimer.  I am only a fan.  I do not have any inside info.   All the rumors here are ones that can easily be found on various sites online.   Now to begin...
Rumor: Morpheus will be captured in 1916 but will not escape until present day.
This rumor has been confirmed true by Neil Gaiman on his Tumblr account and other Social media websites.  In my opinion this was wise because it enables Morpheus’ capture to continue to overlap with the real-world sleeping sickness outbreak of Encephalitis Lethargica.
Rumor:  Michael Sheen is playing Lucifer.
Tumblr media
This rumor was debunked months ago by Neil Gaiman but I surmised that the one who started the rumor had found out he was playing Lucifer for The Sandman audio drama and had gotten confused.  I was right.   I DO however suspect Michael Sheen and possibly David Tennant will have roles in The Sandman Netflix series, just not the same role Michael Sheen had in the audio drama.
My Opinion: I’m all for Michael Sheen having a role in The Sandman Netflix series.  Him and David Tennant.
Rumor: Doug Jones is going to be in The Sandman as a supporting character.
This rumor comes from two clues.  The first being that Neil Gaiman has spoken about his like of Doug Jones and Guillermo Del Toro almost did a Sandman adaptation with Doug as Morpheus.  Doug Jones even brought this up recently, which suggests that the subject might be on mind.
My opinion:  Doug is an excellent character actor and I want this to be true.  He should be in Sandman.  I love Doug. And there are plenty of characters he could play.  Lucien, Mervyn Pumpkinhead, Doctor Destiny, various nightmares.
Rumor:  Liam Hemsworth or Dacre Montgomery will play The Corinthian.
Opinion: I like Liam Hemsworth.  He deserves a shot but Dacre is also good.
Rumor:  Tom Sturridge is playing Morpheus.
Opinion:  I am 90% sure this rumor is true. There are a number of sources claiming the same thing.  Also just google how the man looks.  I think he’ll do a fine job.  I thought Oliver Farnworth would have been excellent too but I’m sure Tom Sturridge would be fine.
Tumblr media
Rumor:  The Netflix Sandman series will see Dream take many forms including a female form.
Opinion:  This isn’t really new.  We saw Dream’s feminine side in Overture.  If it bothers you to see Morpheus might have a feminine side, you probably shouldn’t be watching something like Sandman anyway.
Tumblr media
Rumor:  Death will be played by a black woman.
The source of this rumor comes from Neil Gaiman saying something about loving the actress chosen for Death but feeling some people will complain.
Opinion:   ...So?   She’s an Endless.  She can look any way she wants.  I would have liked to have seen Jamie Chung in the role though.  She voiced her for the Death short that accompanied the Wonder Woman: Bloodlines Blu Ray.
Rumor:  Morpheus’ extended capture will effect his reunion with Hob.
My opinion:  Uhhhh Duh.
Honestly though this makes me VERY curious as to how their reunion will play out. I hope it is just as sweet as the comic.
Rumor:  The Corinthian will appear fairly early in the series and even advise Roderick Burgess how best to contain Morpheus.
Tumblr media
Opinion: Well, according to the leaked Corinthian audition this is true.  I don’t mind it at all.  It makes sense. It fits.
Rumor:  Alexander Burgess’ story is now more sympathetic and he as well as his father will age slower because of Morpheus’ capture.
Opinion:  This seems likely based on certain leaks.  And I kind of hope this means Morpheus will be able to punish Roderick and not Alex.
Rumor:  Alex will now have an older brother who died during World War 1, a brother that Roderick preferred, and he takes out his grief on Alex in abusive ways. it also gives Roderick a new motivation for wanting to capture Death.
Opinion: This is likely true based on certain leaks from last February.  I have mixed feelings about this because sometimes parents are just assholes.  They don’t need a tragic loss to set off their abusive behavior.  It also made Roderick worse (in the comics) that he treated his only (known) son the way he did. It’s been recently established in the comics that John Dee was actually Alex’s half-brother.  I guess it all depends on how this is done.
I also don’t think Roderick needs to be grief stricken in order to want to control Death.   This is a cliché, a cliché we saw in Disney’s Gargoyles and even in Hercules and Xena.  Someone loses someone they love and tries to capture Death in order to bring them back.  Roderick doesn’t need this trope.  He was an occultist who wanted to be a big shot in the world of early twentieth century magick users. In my opinion that should be enough but I’ll keep an open mind.
Rumor:   They were supposed to start filming in May but it was delayed to late October because of Covid.
This one is true.
Opinion:  Hurry up!
Rumor:   Roderick Burgess has no real magick in the show.
Opinion: Sadly this is likely true based on a character description leak from the casting call.  I shall miss seeing Sykes’ head explode...  Honestly I kind of hope this is wrong.  I’m tired of magick being diminished in comic book TV and film.
Rumor:  The first season of Sandman will combine Preludes and Nocturnes with The Doll’s House.
Opinion:  This is likely true.  I’m fine with it.  It might flow better for TV this way.
Rumor:   The “A game of you” storyline will have trans people writing.
Opinion:  This makes sense  And this is pretty much already confirmed true.
Rumor:  The Netflix show will have the same cast as the audio drama.
Opinion: Though I would not mind this, I know it is not true. This is likely the result of an IMDB listing for the audio drama mistakenly calling it a show and some fans mistaking that IMDB page as being the one for the Netflix series.
Rumor: The Netflix Sandman series is canceled and the audio drama is all we’re getting.
This rumor is absolutely false!    It’s a stupid rumor made by those who had no idea the audio drama was happening before the pandemic even hit.   The audio drama is not compensation because there will not be a Netflix show.  Both will exist.
Opinion:  Shame on those leaping to this conclusion and spreading it as fact.
Rumor: A character named “Ann” is being cast and she’ll be a major recurring character.
Opinion:  I’ve seen this sort of thing before.  It’s how you hide what character they are trying to cast.  Clearly this is a major female character for the show and probably was a name used as a place holder for Death of The Endless or even Rose Walker.  I’m not too concerned about this.  Some fans are upset and already raging that they’re making up a new character just for the show, ala Chloe Decker in Lucifer.  I don’t think there’s anything to worry about here.
Rumor:   Tom Ellis will not be playing Lucifer.
Opinion:  Tom Ellis has wanted to move on from Lucifer for a while.  He wants season six of Lucifer to be its last.   Let him move on. Neil Gaiman also wants his Lucifer to be different from the Lucifer TV show version.  The Lucifer TV series deviated heavily from the comics and it might confuse people with the big differences in lore.  It is probably for the best that Tom Ellis not play Lucifer.
Rumor:  The Sandman is why Lucifer is being canceled.
Opinion: No.  Lucifer has been canceled three times now. In fact the first time it was canceled The Sandman TV series had not been picked up by Netflix yet.  Lucifer has had six seasons.  For a paranormal police procedural that’s a good, long, run.  Not everything can be Supernatural.   Forever Knight (and most shows of that type) only had three seasons.  Lucifer out lived the norm for its type of show and survived two cancelations.   Let it go.   Do not blame Sandman.  The Sandman is what gave us Lucifer, not took it away.  The Sandman is where the story of Lucifer quitting, opening Lux, and taking up piano came from.
Rumor:  The Sandman is the most expensive show DC has ever made.
According to Variety this is true.
Opinion:  It probably has to be expensive.  Look at all the stuff they need to show us, the sets and special effects needed.
Rumor:  Lucien might be played by a woman.
Apparently this rumor started because some of the Morpheus auditioners let slip that they auditioned with a woman as Lucien.
Opinion: I’m not sure how I feel about this.  I love the character of Lucien.  A a woman version might take a little getting used to. I don’t hate the idea, I just prefer how he appears in canon.   Further note, I kind of hope he has a full head of hair like he does in the recent comics.  There is a very high chance she was just reading his lines since at the time the role being cast was Morpheus, not Lucien.
Rumor:  The Sandman could air as early as Summer of 2021.
Opinion:  *Insert bitter laugh here.* I wish...
Rumor:   Alexander Burgess is gay.
Opinion: And in other news water is wet!
Rumor: Desire will be played by someone who identifies as Genderfluid or nonbinary.
Opinion: This is very likely true.
Book Speed Of Trust - TheSchoolHouse302
Book Speed Of Trust: How To Increase Your Reading Speed In Half The Time When it comes to reading, many people believe that speed is key. After all, if you can read faster, you can get through more material in less time. This belief is based on the idea that humans have a limited attention span and that by reading faster, we can squeeze more information into our short window of attention. However, this theory has been debunked time and time again. In fact, recent studies have shown that readers who read at a slower pace actually comprehend more information than those who read quickly. So why is it that so many people believe in the power of speed? It may have something to do with how we’re taught to read. In school, we are often told to read as if we are listening to someone speak. This type of reading makes us rely on our eyes rather than our brain. If you want to increase your speed of trust and learn how to read more effectively, check out this book speed of trust: how to increase your reading speed in half the time. Book Speed Of Trust How reading speed can be improved Reading is not only one of the most important activities in life, it is also one of the quickest and easiest to improve. In this blog post, we will be discussing how reading speed can be improved by following a few simple tips. On average, people read at around 200-240 words per minute (wpm). However, many readers – especially those who are fast readers – can read much faster than this. The secret to being a fast reader isn’t necessarily having a high reading speed, it is having good comprehension skills. When you have good comprehension skills, you can quickly process what you are reading and understand it completely. Here are some methods that can help improve your comprehension skills: 1) Skim read: Skimming through your text doesn’t have to be a slow process – in fact, if done correctly, skimming can actually help improve your comprehension speed because it allows you to take in all the information on the surface level without having to go through all the details. Start by scanning just the first few sentences of a chapter or article before starting to read it more carefully. This will help you get a general idea of what is being discussed without getting bogged down in unnecessary detail. 2) Use highlighting and underlining: Highlighting and underlining key words and phrases can also help improve your comprehension speeds because they allow you to directly associate specific information with later discussions or readings. Doing this will make it easier for you The benefits of accelerated reading If you're like most people, reading for pleasure doesn't come naturally. In fact, it can often feel like a chore. But there's no need to feel guilty about your reading speed - you can easily increase it by 50% or more with the right approach. Here are the four key benefits of accelerated reading: 1) More time for other activities: When you read quickly, you tend to spend more time with a book, which means that you'll have more time for other activities. This includes time to relax and get lost in the story, as well as time to explore the content and learn from it. 2) Better comprehension: Contrary to popular belief, comprehension doesn't actually improve when people read at a slower pace. In fact, research suggests that readers who read at a slower pace usually lack meaningful understanding of what they're reading. By contrast, accelerated readers have a better grasp of what they're reading due to their increased speed. 3) Increased retention: When you read quickly, your brain retains more information than when you read slowly. This is because when you read quickly, your brain gets through the text faster so it can process it more effectively. As a result, accelerated readers are better able to remember what they've learned from books. 4) Increased focus and concentration: When you read slowly, your mind wanders and starts thinking about other things - this is especially true if you're not used to reading fast. But by speeding
