Transformers Prime x Jujutsu Reader
“What’s up Danger”
I’m writing this for fun. Welp enjoy.
“What are you?”
“Well, that depend, how you see it,” the figure skipping forward standing at the near edge of the building; it wasn’t particularly tall building per say, considering bare minimum standard for a small town of Jasper Nevada. “Call it freelancing, vigilantly, charity work; a name unheard of - “
Leap of faith is all it take as wind brush your fictional hair, your hands outstretch ready for impact, yet…
“- jujutsu sorcerer,” gravity defied you as you stand there, leg unflinching from nonexistent ground. Your hand now in your pocket, while the other; outstretch forward to the person, mouth agape at the broken possibility. You grin, you just hope this’ll worth your time.

Orrrr on Apple Music
https://music.apple.com/us/album/the-funnies/1643054432
If you’re reading this, read until the end:
A compilation of artistry written, spoken, rapped, produced, finagled, mangled, over the past seven years has finally become accessible.
I never thought we’d get to this point. I never imagined it sounding this way. I never thought we’d find our way to a Spotify link. Or any platform for that matter.
And while we aren’t shooting for dollar signs or recognition, leaving something tangible behind in our own fashion is what we’ve aimed for from the get.
Our friendship has stood the test of time and I could’ve never done anything like this without you suggesting we can.
For those of you that grace us with your ear to listening, The Funnies is composed in a manner that is best served from start to finish. While we believe in each of the pieces individually, it is collectively and chronologically that promotes the true message.
At the end of the day, we hope you find something that resonates. We hope you enjoy it as much as we have composing it for the past 1,460+ days.
We would love to hear your thoughts.
We appreciate you listening.
With love,
Jdav & Bone

do they remember me...
“    The first boy I loved is thousands of miles away on a stage-
strumming his base
just like the day I knew I loved him.
The first girl I kissed as she held my hips
had blond hair and pretty eyes. I don’t remember her name but-
I remember how she felt dancing in a Chicago club.
The first time I promised the world to someone,
they were dressed as a pretty fairy. They put their hand in my back pocket and I pushed them up against a wall my tongue tracing their lips.
The first time I had sex it was with the tallest ,darkest, most handsome guy you could imagine,
in the back seat of a parked car on a dark street. If I close my eyes in the quiet I can still hear his accent as a whisper in my ears.
       I guess-
I wonder not how they're doing, or even where some are now,
really only if they remember me the way I think of them...”

One of my biggest nitpicks in fiction concerns the feeding of babies. Mothers dying during/shortly after childbirth or the baby being separated form the mother shortly after birth is pretty common in fiction. It is/was also common enough in real life, which is why I think a lot of writers/readers don't think too hard about this. however. Historically, the only reason the vast majority of babies survived being separated from their mother was because there was at least one other woman around to breastfeed them. Before modern formula, yes, people did use other substitutes, but they were rarely, if ever, nutritionally sufficient.
Newborns can't eat adult food. They can't really survive on animal milk. If your story takes place in a world before/without formula, a baby separated from its mother is going to either be nursed by someone else, or starve.
It doesn't have to be a huge plot point, but idk at least don't explicitly describe the situation as excluding the possibility of a wetnurse. "The father or the great grandmother or the neighbor man or the older sibling took and raised the baby completely alone in a cave for a year." Nope. That baby is dead I'm sorry. "The baby was kidnapped shortly after birth by a wizard and hidden away in a secret tower" um quick question was the wizard lactating? "The mother refused to see or touch her child after birth so the baby was left to the care of the ailing grandfather" the grandfather who made the necessary arrangements with women in the neighborhood, right? right? OR THAT GREAT OFFENDER "A newborn baby was left on the doorstep and they brought it in and took care of it no issues" What Are You Going to Feed That Baby. Hello?
Like. It's not impossible, but arrangements are going to have to be made. There are some logistics.

You know, it's kinda funny how much of high fantasy centers around kings and nobility and courtly intrigue considering that the archetypal high fantasy, Lord of the Rings, had the rather explicit moral of "saving the world is up to this backwater hick and his gardener because no politician, least of all inherited nobility, would have the ability to see past their own ambition and throw away a weapon". Oh sure, Aragorn is a great king and all, but there's a reason he's over there running a distraction ring while the hobbits do the real work. Sauron loses because he gets distracted by kings and armies and great battles (i.e. typical high fantasy stuff) letting Frodo and Sam sneak through his back door and blow it all to hell.
Just saying, maybe old Jirt knew what he was saying when he said that the small folk doing their best and holding to each other was more powerful than a dozen alliances and superweapons and we should respect him for it.

Nothing will dispell the "the curtains were just blue" myth faster than writing something yourself, because the amount of pretentious symbolism i am putting in my silly little fanfics is ridiculous. I mean SO much with these words, literally every single one of them. This fic has twenty five typos and zero correct uses of punctuation but if there's curtains you bet your ass I put thought into what colour they were.

i think we should remind musicians they can absolutely make up little stories for their songs btw. it doesn’t have to be about them at all. you can invent a guy and put him in situations to music. time honoured tradition in fact.

Attention, Attention
Welcome, welcome, welcome
This just in...
this is Justin
without my name
I guess this means nothin
otherwise
who would be credited
for this lyrical combustion
I'm often left wonderin
where the line
splits social scripts
between a hop and a hip
or a bop and a bip
I admit
but
I run awry
why am I always so serious
when I write
The page reflects a "true self"
a "raw self"
these statements I've proclaimed
but maybe I'm just foolin myself
maybe I'm tryna give myself
a different name
Shiver me timbers
...or whatever they say
I like hay as much as the next horse
but I'd rather chill by the bay
cast a line
puff a drag
exhale
appreciating simplicity
as stress fades away
I'm a day dreamer
lost in the clouds
too far out
perhaps a bit shot, indeed
I like penguins
disc golf
and turkey hill iced tea
some say I have a nice beard
some say I speak too loudly
some say be careful
some say send it fully
I’m on duty
ha
I said duty
Unruly by nature
slappin a goat
named Danger
a behavior
turns habit
a rabbit
digging a hole
the bottom of my shoes
a worn out sole
I uphold
through it all
I self mold
in the cold
watching winter
unfold

To illustrate this post by @mayahawkse I would like to visualize to you the difference:
A post in 2023:
Tumblr media
A post in 2014:
Tumblr media
A zoom out of the same post:
Tumblr media
This is what a community looks like.
See how in 2023 almost all of the reblogs come from the OP, from their few hours/days in the tag search. Meanwhile in 2014 the % of reblogs from OP is insignificant, because most of the reblogs come from the reblogs within the fandom, within the micro-communities formed there. You didn't need to rely on tags, or search, or being featured. Because the community took care of you, made sure to pass the work between themselves and onto their blog and exposed their followers to it. It kept works alive for years.
It's not JUST the reblog/like ratio that causing this issue, it's the type of interaction people have. They're content with scrolling and liking the search engine, instead of actually having a reblogging relationship with other blogs in their community.
Anyways, if you want to see more content you like, the only true way to make it happen is to reblog it. Likes do not forward content in no way but making OP feel nice. Reblogs on the other hand make content eternal. They make it relevant, they make it exist outside of a fickle tumblr search that hardly works on the best of days.
If you want more of something, reblog it.
