maybe tumblr will get me back into writing.

Hey my maggoty loves sooooo well, as you might know (because of this chaotic mess of a thread on Neil's blog, oops) I've rooted up a WIP from last February. And I want to finish it. The time on that thread that I said I'd write, I actually wrote for three hours and wrote 3000 words and actually had so much fun? And I haven't written since then but it's made me realise if I keep myself accountable on tumblr then I'll actually do this thing that brings me so much joy.

Sometimes you need to be kicked in the ass even to do things that you like. In chemical kinetics it's called activation energy, if I remember correctly. Ass-kicking energy has more pizzazz.

Sooooo I'll make a tag and I'll just keep making stupid lil updatey posts, y'all feel free to ignore it (or maybe, if you need to write too, take them as a reminder and motivation, the way I took Neil's post as my ass-kicking energy. anything you like). Writing is a messy messy thing but hey we can do it together!

I'll use the tag Asmi's birds of paradise because the ship name I use for my two OCs, Rian and Avi, is Avian. And well, avian = birds. Flashy queer birds. See I'm putting so much thought into this :")

Alright I'm going to write a scene I've been wanting to, where Rian (who knows nothing about cricket) has to commentate on a game of it along with Avi (who's extremely good at it but is out of the game because injury). I wonder if Avi will realise that Rian's not even trying to commentate properly, he's just trying to make Avi laugh. Fucking fools I love them.

Maybe am just retarded but i will never understand the redditors who insist that nobody but the selected few intellectuals understand that The Boys is satire.

Throwing the words "media illiterate" left and right to justify a decline on the writing of the show bcuz of course they have to dumb it down and be even more explicit with their satire so ppl will stop thinking Homelander is cool!!! BCUZ HE IS BAD DONT U GET THAT HE IS BAD!! STOP LIKING HIM REEEE!!! They scream and seethe in the back.

As if the reason people like him is not because he is a cool villain and he is interesting and incredibly well acted.

Is there a % of ppl who refuse/miss the satire? Yeah but why does everybody else must suffer bcuz they wanna own a small % of their viewership? Or Homie fans?

To be honest i think most ppl who think Homelander is a "literally me fr fr" characther or think he is a hero probably only know him from memes (i always think of this one reddit post of a guy showing his dad the show and his dad being shocked that Homelander wasnt this silly sad guy getting put on situations bcuz of how he is portrayed in memes) i just dont think the writers realized that the pop culture portrayal of Homelander has cemented an image thats disconnected from the source material, which ppl have found relatable (not to mention most literally me guys tend to be violent fuckers so i dont think his violence is lost to ppl is just a meme lost on you) and they dont need to try to rectify the masses for wrong think.

Like nobody asked to suffer thru what i expect to be a painful viewing experience that will be non-stop trump references and parodies that will be violent beaten on the viewers bcuz they r angry that people had the audacity of liking this friendless loser with a great ass over other characthers (as if 99% of the characthers arent horrible fucking wankers except for the Gen V kids those r precious and i will defend them to death) not to mention how annoying it will be for the non americans like myself who are just so done with the cultural obsession over a dude not even in power anymore.

Like S1 and S2 were clever with their satire while it was always left leaning in their politics it was nice to see them at least take a jab at the champaigne libs and their attitudes that negatively affects their side (bare minimum really) but at least it felt like it had something to say.... mind u i absorb this show as a characther lead show and zone out the americanism bcuz it provides absolutely nothing for my latino/australian brain like its not relatable or interesting anymore. Like if they start parodying The Liberal and Labor party or the Greens that would be interesting to watch.

Spoilers for the latest chapter

I’m not too sure how many people have had this thought, but I think Twilight will give up being a spy and embrace the identity of Loid Forger; and I’d like to thank the new chapter for supplying me with exactly I’d like Loid to be after he quits the spy game.

Twilight’s whole shtick is coming up with stories and making masks to fill the roles, so him becoming an animator/writer/comic would be a way to peacefully use those skills. I’m leaning more towards a comic writer/illustrator.

Franky would be his PR/printer/editor etc. and go on to have their own studio. I’m imagining something like Mirage Comics, where it’s just the two spit balling ideas until an unanimous “THAT’s IT!” moment.

I’d just love to have Loid living a fulfilling and truthful life, where all the lies and deceptions aren’t ‘for the mission’ but for whatever he’s writing.

And of course Anya is his biggest critic and his biggest fan.

i made this doodle of Safey, and some writing of Anthy talking about it, to let you know about the schedule post i did for you to be able to see what i'm up to kjsksk

in this, Anfey is the name of the main three (Anthy, Seth and San) together — the instinctive side usually just takes their name with the body ksjkks, as in directly from the physical world, so they can go by Anfey, but San also comes from this; they're kinda the "laziest" one (this is actually just them being the most tired for... some reason). the main three often refer to themselves by "we", as they often influence eachother deeply even if they're afar, and are practically always together — Safey counts in these too, but they rarely talk to the others

you might recall Anthy from my "Feelings" pixel art doodle — see my art tag "#anfey care" here on my blog to find it —, they're the personification of my emotional side. Seth is the personification of my rational side, and San is the one of the instinctive side — also is the one who has access to the physical world, 'cause they take the physical part of my identity itself with the instincts and related things. in this idea, Safey is the subconscious, also being the will while at it — what makes them the one who at times takes control without telling the others, sometimes not even making themself visible to the rest, who then don't really have a clue where the control is coming from (after all... subconscious side)

it's basically a personification of facets of my identity, whose live in another plane (their "world"), with two of them having access to different planes (San has to the physical, almost like being at both planes at the same time, and Safey kinda has a "world" of their own, separately, as their own story — not really part of this specific personification idea, though it fits with "the will creature" idea, and they still can travel between both realities, but that's as my mascot persona, not as my subconscious persona). there is some other character/s ideas too, but they're not a "part of identity" persona, not even just a persona of me, they're just a personification thing that could "pretend to be" somehow kjskks (maybe like a shapeshifter. they turn into anything that could cause suffering... who knows). i still don't have a name for this project idea, but i've been thinking about something related to identity and headspace

Do you think there is hope in indopendent, or at least small scale/studio animation? Did Viv scruw it over for everyone else who trys to make they idea come true?

Like nearly nobady talks about Human be Gone, but at least Lackadaisy, and the Digital Circus got they spot lieth with the pilot. Let's hope Far Fetched, and Lackadaisy save us.

I do think there’s hope, but I doubt it will be in the form of Far Fetched and Lackadaisy because those two just seem to be following what I like to call the Kicktoon trend (which is essentially the animation equivalent of the Mascot Horror genre of video games). I think that there is hope for an indie cartoon to fall into or become just as popular as ones in the Kicktoon genre. Heck, I actually have an idea for one that I think can stand out from the rest and be just as popular as the other ones. A good example of something like this would have to be the video game My Friendly Neighborhood, a Mascot Horror game that parodied Sesame Street and was made as a passion project by the game’s creators. Unlike most other Mascot Horror games, merch wasn’t released until long after the game had been released and was built like a Resident Evil game rather then Poppy Playtime, and is often considered to be the best game in the Mascot Horror genre (even by people who hate the genre). So I want to create a Kicktoon that essentially made to appeal to both animation nerds and general audiences/people who are indifferent to the medium (rather than appealing to only the former and not the latter). So yeah, that’s just my thoughts.
