Dunno why I get so much content, but lately I've been suggested by tiktok a lot of content that is more All Might "critical" (I have no clue how to call it). And some of it is really interesting.

Like, I was never the biggest fan of him. Do I like his character? Yes. But is he on my top 10? Prolly not.

And the points people are pointing out and making worst in some AU is really interesting.

Just found a sound on tiktok where it's Midoriya talking with All Might, talking about the day he and Bakugo were attacked by the sludge villain. Asking had he not run to help Bakugo would All Might have just stayed hidden in the crowd? Asking if his record of everyone being saved when he's here could be untruth if people just didn't knew he was there?

Like, I never really thought about it, but this is a valid question. Would have All Might just stood on the side letting Bakugo possibly die if no other pro-hero capable of help arrived soon ? Obviously my man is just a human so obviously he cannot save everyone, but this was something interesting to point out.

Others who emphasise a lot how he doesn't actually help with Midoriya's bone-breaking habits. How he kept so many very important information about OFA and is likely still hiding important shit from him. How he's trying to make a mini-All Might out of Midoriya, instead of helping be his own.

I even enjoy some pretty dubious and dark All Might in the Broken trust and shattered heart series (100% recommend). Where (spoiler if you want to read it) All Might straight up say that the reason he chose someone he didn't know was because he knew of the bone-breaking effect that OFA can have. In the story, he is so cold and clearly trying to shape Midoriya to be him.

But despite all that, I can still like the character, it just add more to him. Like I saw some people being like "fuck off if you like him" and am just?!?! To each their own, but damn I didn't expect people to dislike him to the point of hating anyone who enjoys him a little.

And this has me thinking a tiny bit, why the reaction for him when people love villains who do worst things that All Might. Some are murderous maniacs with no guilt whatsoever for what they did but we love them, while (in my opinion) All Might is very flawed and not as honest/righteous by time as he says he is and that's the impossible one to like.

Granted, maybe he does something later in the manga that I haven't reached yet that could change my mind (I had reached the license exam and am now rereading from the start) So maybe I just don't know.

Like I said, to each their own, if you don't like him and hate him with passion you do you. I'll keep liking him even if he's not the best ┐(シ)┌

Chapter 384 page 16 and 17

And the other 2 movies are canon too but I knew this before this chapter. Anyway:

We can see Rody's siblings and I am dying HE'S CANON!!!

And on the second pic we see the siblings of the second movie where baku and deku fought nine which had been mentioned in the manga once, well at least nines name, so I knew he was canon. That also means baku had once ofa and is with that the 10th user. Even if it was only for the fight and he can't remember it. I could imagine him suddenly showing up with the other ofa users.

And we can also see melissa of the third movie. But we already knew she was canon too because of deku's gauntlets in his vigilante era. The red things around his arms. That was her support gear created for all might but in the end she gave it deku.

BUT NOW THE THIRD MOVIE IS CANON TOO AND I LOVE HORI FOR IT EVEN MORE! YESSSS!!!!

Alr I just want to say that I hate it, when ppl tell me, quirkless deku would've not been able to be a hero.

I disagree.

Because we've seen so many characters in the mha universe who have really underground quirks and are still able to fight. As an example Shota Aizawa or also known as Ereaserhead. His quirk just makes the other person also quirkless. Other than that he fights completly quirkless and uses his scarf which is not part of his quirk. A support item.

Than we have stain. He who fights against so many heroes who are so powerful, can kill or damage them easily. Ofc he uses his quirk to paralyze them first before he kills them or heavily damages them but he is still skilled enough to hurt heroes, whith really awesome quirks. He even cut Iidas brother, Tensei Iida alias Ingenium, that fast hero who is probably faster than Tenya since he has twice the experience his brother has or maybe thrice, I didnt look this up sry. Dont know.how old he is. Anyway Stain does use his quirk to fight yes but his skills are awesome enough that Izuku struggled. He is fast and awesome with his katana or many other sharp things. His instincts are not to test and neither are Eraserhead's.

Than we have the Vigilante Manga which we know is canon because Aizawa's Backgroundstroy is in it. We have a vigilante who is quirkless. He doesnt fight with quirks but still fights against strong villains. I don't know his name but he is awesome.

Now let's get this together.

Izuku would need the right support items to be a quirkless hero but this goes for every hero so this is obvious, than he needs much more training than others. He would probably need to learn parkour and material arts and maybe more things like acrobatics, the more the better. He would need to train his instincts to be more sensitive and react according to them. He already is great with quirk analysis but maybe he can go further with movement's just like he knows that Katsuki Bakugou uses his right hand to attack first. Generally to be really smart would come handy too but I dont think it's a problem with Izuku.

The thing is, those are all things I think Izuku with ofa(or any other quirk) should have. As a teacher I would've showed him to not just rely on a quirk. What if afo would steal his quirk, how should he fight than? Imagine somebody has a quirk which can nullify yours like Aizawas, shouldn't you learn how to fight or at least survive without it.

That's why I would've loved Izuku to not just use his fist. Maybe he could hit on places which are weak points of the human body so the villain would be unconscious or at least not be able to move their body anymore.

Would've been awesome.

So yes I want and believe in a quirkless hero. Thank you for reading this.

TW: Suicide talk

Am I the only one who thinks that Izuku Midoriya didnt try to unalive himself in season one, after all might crushed his dreams, because the moment before he almost died, two times if you think about it.

1. Sludge villain

2. All might telling him go let go of his leg while beeing idk 50m (?) of the ground....like thx man.

So after almost dying not once but twice, he was scared. And while the sludge villain tried to choke/drown him, he wanted to be saved. He realised he wanted to live.

If this didnt happen, I dont think much would've stopped him from jumping.

Because he was bullied all his life, nobody believes in him, his childhoodfriend hates him (not really but i am guessing thats what he thought), the teachers encourage the bullying by giving information about him, such as going to UA even tho they know the class would laugh at him. His childhood friend told him to die, even tho hes the only one he still considers a friend. And on top of that icing his hero told him he cant go after his dreams and he should just give up. Which he has been told all his life.

And after that he did say that he will give up with trying, so the only reason Izuku Midoriya didnt give up on life is because he realised he wanted to live while almost actually dying. That dying is actually really scary. He realised he still had some will to live.

So yea.

Honestly ppl should stop looking at the fandom and instead look at the amazing Storyline horikoshi has worked on. Mha is a Masterpiece and it is frustrating that they cant see it just because they judge the fanbase. Ofc we have toxic dams and no it's not the shippers (ofc we also have toxic shippers) it's the homophobic ones or those who just judge others for their opinions.

But all fandoms has those kind of ppl. I mean how many toxic naruto fans are out there? And honestly we should only judge ppl who ship illegal ships. I saw narutoXboruto and you guys want to tell me it's worse than idk momoXjirou? Are you guys serious? Can't you just accept that not everyone has the same opinion as you? I am not hating on izuocha shippers even tho I cant stand the ship. You guys need to stop worrying about fans and instead watch the anime. Horikoshi didnt just put character development in his story once, no every character there has their own development and even the world developed! Horikoshis parallels are out of this world! And his writing style will kill me one of this days. He is so smart it amazes me how he came up with such a storyline. Mha is amazing in so many ways. Dont miss this just because of fans you cant stand.

I think Horikoshi is very aware of exactly what we expect regarding romance and this is visible in chapter 342 and 348 perfectly. Here, he set up two scenes that a typical shonen manga would set, but instead of going through with them, he crushes them in the last minute. In chapter 342 we see Ochako standing on the cliff, looking over the city, lost in thoughts. We think: “She’s thinking of Izuku..” and when Izuku approaches her, we think: “here comes the romantic confession..” The way this was set, Hori knew exactly what we expected.

But what truly happened? Izuku stands 6 feet away from her and we find out that no, Ocha wasn’t thinking of Izuku at all. In fact she doesn’t even want to engage in small talk with Izuku. Izuku here looks like he’s completely over his little excitement for girls.

Horikoshi, being a poet with words, had a chance to make Izuku thank her in a deeper way, more significant, more intimate.. more romantic. But what did Izuku say? “Thank you for what you did. Really I mean it.” And that’s it. Izuku came to politely thank her. And nothing else. After Ochako calls herself weird, Izuku, being a good friend, tries to cheer her up. Paying attention to his face as he’s saying these things to her, there is not a trace of blush, he isn’t looking away, he isn’t uncomfortable or nervous. He’s trying to cheer up his friend.

To this, we see a little thinking bubble of Ochako saying: “I never noticed these things..” this is significant cause Caleb here wrote: “didn’t see that coming”. Which brings a whole different message across. “Didn’t see that coming” could in some way be taken as romantic because it sounds like Ocha could be flustered about the fact it was DEKU who thinks this about her. But “I never noticed these things..” has nothing to do with Deku. It’s her not realising she had these qualities.

It wasn’t the fact it was DEKU who said it. It was just the fact that the things were said. But she cuts him off and then what do we find out? That Ocha has been thinking about TOGA the entire time and Izuku hasn’t been on her mind.

They share the same mindset when it comes to saving their respective heroes, and their little moment is interrupted with a panel of Shoto who thinks exactly the same. He wants to save his brother. So this wasn’t a little thing between Izuku and Ochako.. they all feel like that.

The scene ends without a hint of romance and these two standing far away from each other. No cute smiles between them, no closeness, no little touches.. no emotional bond..They barely know each other for a year. They haven’t had the time to hang out or develop. They’re just friends. Horikoshi himself purposely chose not to include Ochako in any important scenes to Deku. He made sure Deku isn’t attached to her in any way. And interestingly enough, in all the moments where shonen mangakas typically put the love interest, Horikoshi put Bakugo Katsuki.

“It’s not time for a confession, they’re going to a war” is what people tell me. This was EXACTLY the time for a confession. They’re going into a dangerous war. They may not make it out alive. They may never see each other again. If there ever was a time to confess. It was this.

Now let’s move on to my personal favorite, chapter 348, or as I like to call it, Horikoshi’s biggest troll yet. Chapter 345 ends with a cliff hanger. Izuku is pulled from his battle and forcefully put on an island with Toga and Ochako. First, there is symbolism here.

We as fans.. people.. often try to force something that is simply not meant to be. Izuku was not supposed to be a part of Ochako’s battle. They were never supposed to fight side by side. “Deku why are you here?”

*they’re not supposed to end up together*

And yet, Izuku was forcefully sent over there.

The chapter ends like this, making the entire fandom, including bkdks, reluctantly accept the inevitable. Izuku was brought here so that Izu/Ocha can be established as canon. Even if it felt forced especially after chapter 342.. we all still expected it cause well, that’s how shonen manga works, right? Well apparently not according to Horikoshi. Anyways, he leaves us at this cliff hanger for 3 chapters. On purpose. KNOWING exactly what we were all thinking and expecting him to do.

And when he’s back in chapter 348, the chapter begins with an odd narration… narration in which Horikoshi wants us to think about Bakugo Katsuki. Why? Bakugo wasn’t a part of this chapter. It had nothing to do with him… or did it? Check my pinned post for more on this topic.

The chapter continues with Izuku and Ochako not developing at all, Ochako’s focus is on Toga the entire time. When Ocha gets hurt, Izuku doesn’t attempt to run and help her.. we don’t see a special reaction.. (he freaking knocked out ALLMIGHT cause of Katsuki and he wasn’t even in real danger..)

Ocha isn’t affected at all by the fact Izuku is here. She’s looking determined, she tells Toga she’s all she’s been thinking of the whole time…and nothing romantic happens. Izuku dismisses Toga’s idea of love and this way, dismissing Ochako’s too.

And finally, as a cherry on top, right before Toga is about to reveal Ochako’s feelings……Here comes Tsuyu. Interrupting the whole moment. I see this being Horikoshi self inserting himself. “Okay… enough of this bullshit, let’s move on.” Izuku is sent back on his way because he was never supposed to be here in the first place, and Ocha and Toga continue their battle.

With both of them finally saying they’re gonna follow their own desires and dreams and not try to be anyone else. Ocha’s goal has always been to be a hero. To get rid of the feelings that she saw as an obstacle. Reducing her back to the love interest would destroy her development.

Horikoshi set up the annoying last minute confession war scene that we were so used to in Shonen..making us think he was gonna go through with it as well, even making us WAIT, just to destroy it in the end and say: “not in my manga.” He is a lot smarter than people like to think. And so.. here we are. At the end of the manga, in the final battle and Horikoshi purposefully missed all the chances to bond these two. And as someone who is insanely good at human relationships, I don’t think he would butcher the most important one. Izuku’s LIFE PARTNER.

Someone he shares EVERYTHING with. Someone who’s supposed to be his soulmate, his everything. And he is certainly better than giving us a time skip with them married and no explanation to how it happened, or even a post war confession that at this point, doesn’t even make any sense.

I think that chapter 342 is there to FIX the FRIENDSHIP between Izuku and Ochako.. friendship that was sort of ruined because people constantly teased Ochako for having “feelings” for Deku. They kept making her feel like she was doing something wrong simply by doing her job as a hero. Another lesson Hori is teaching us?

Ever Think about the fact that while Merlin and Arthur will be reunited again, they wont ever see the others. Like gwen is dead. Gwaine, Lance, Elyan, Percival, Leon (but hes immortal too so we will see him), Gaius, Morgana and also mordred (still not sure if I hate or like him...).

If there is a fanfic that i would want a movie or would buy a book from it would be "from the sidelines" by suffocatingspring.

This fanfic...it destroyed me and put my heart together again. This fanfic was something that put my standard for love so high. I wouldnt want it any other way. The way those two boys fell in love was heartwarming and at the same time heartbreaking.

Their little trips was everything that a relationship would need. Not those fancy restaurants or the cinemas. Sometimes you dont need to dress up to just have a meaningful date.

Those two boys didn't need that. They just needed some time for themselves. Randomly meet ups where you push the other in the lake full of fireflies. Or watch how planes go off from the airport. Sometimes you can just be infront of your house and dance with songs from the 80'. That's enough. And it was enough for them. They fell in love with someone who just needed to be themselves but couldn't. They completed the other one.

This was enough for Bakugou Katsuki and Izuku Midoriya.

They wanted to be free and yet grounded to earth. And they did just that.

They helped the other one and broke them only to be together and that was the most beautiful fanfic I ever read.

For those who read it, they will know. This pain and yet this heartwarming moment. The beauty of actual love and understanding. The beauty of their love.

So I want to tell you guys, read this fanfic. If you are not an anti if you are alright with smut (btw no it's not underaged), read this fanfic and fall in love with it. Cause this fanfic may have ruined me but I wont regret a single moment. It was worth it. So read it and maybe you will also see the world a little different from before.
