zhongli, jealous? ridiculous.

zhongli is unyielding and self-assured. he was a revered archon, for celestia’s sake; he knows he’s wanted, and even now as a mortal he’s not foreign to the longing looks, stuttered words, and the blushes that rise to his fellow mortals’ cheeks whenever he speaks to them.

and you - you want him just as much, if not more; yet you’re different than the others in the way that you’ve successfully managed to carve a perfect little home in his heart and chose to stay there, much to his delight.

you’ve promised him your heart and the entirety of your life. he’s promised you happiness and his eternal love. you’ve been bound by the most sacred contract of all, the proofs of your vows to each other clearly wrapped onto your ring fingers.

so really, what would such petty, shallow emotion like jealousy serve?

“wow, you’re really good with your hands!”

“i’m not sure if being able to use chopsticks is a good measurement of one’s proficiency with their hands, but... thanks?”

“isn’t it harder to-” childe pauses to speak when you offer him a bite of sweet-and-sour pork and rice, gratefully takes the food, and hums in appreciation before continuing his words, “-feed others with a chops-”

“chew and swallow first; you’ll choke.”

the harbinger obediently obeys, but not before chirping a playful “okay mom/dad!” with his mouth full. you sigh and turn towards your abnormally silent lover, finding him barely picking at his own food.

“li? why aren’t you eating?”

“hm? i was just… thinking.”

“thinking,” you repeat with a fond roll of your eyes and a teasing grin on your lips, “when are you not? well, i’m sure you haven’t forgotten how to use chopsticks, so i don’t need to feed you, right?”

your husband’s lips part, as if he wanted to say something, but right at the same moment, you notice childe trying to pick up his rice, failing miserably with his horrible chopsticks control. as if on autopilot, you used your utensils to pick up the grains from his bowl into his mouth.

zhongli’s words fizzle on his tongue. the way you fuss over the brunette fuels the rumbling growls of the slumbering dragon which has been sleeping for eons, slowly baring its fangs inside his chest. gloved fingers wrap around his teacup a tad too tight, but alas, you fail to notice your brooding husband's silent fury.

he knows it’s just your instinct, to care for others and to cater to other people’s happiness. it’s one of the traits he adores from you. if anything, it looks more like a parent-child(e) relationship rather than that of lovers - besides, no personage living in liyue would think of you as the snezhnayan's significant other. that, he is confident of.

but do you really have to hand-feed a grown-up man - a fatui harbinger who almost leveled your whole nation onto the seabed at that - who was most definitely capable of feeding himself, and with your chopsticks nonetheless- wait.

before you can bring the two sticks anywhere near the plates containing childe’s food, your husband's hand gently pushes your chopsticks away. upon the questioning arch of your eyebrows, he opts for a patient and calm-sounding tone, “darling, please. eat. you haven’t touched your food for far too long.”

he then replaced your set of utensils with his own; the movement so smooth and natural you didn’t even notice, before turning to childe and scooping the extra spicy vegetable stir fry towards the brunette.

childe’s blue eyes widen in half shock and half embarrassment, and you nearly choke on your food at the comical sight.

“um-”

“eat.”

“a-ah, miss xiangling, can i have a spoo-”

“eat.”

no, he most definitely isn’t jealous.

“-who’s my prettiest boy? yes you are!”

“… what in teyvat are you doing?”

you blink innocently at your boyfriend, who had just woken up judging from the way his coat is still missing from his person, and momentarily your eyes flit downwards to appreciate the way his muscles look in his tight black bodysuit.

hmmm. ah, yes. you can see it from the way his abs look today. it is going to be a good day.

“hey,” a condescending snap of his fingers right in front of your face, and you glare at the smug expression on al haitham's face, “eyes up here.”

“i wasn’t looking at your pecs.”

“i never said anything like that.”

“not your manboobs either.”

“for the hundredth time, i do not have manboobs. and for the second time, i never said nor implied anything even remotely close to that.”

“well, i would like to inform you that i was not.”

al haitham gives you a knowing smirk and you huff in embarrassment, choosing to ignore him by looking away and refocusing on the tiny sprout (the actual plant, not that little adorable sprout on the top of his head), smiling and going back to the higher, loving pitch you used previously.

“i’m sorry baby, ignore mr. narcissist over there. now. you’re growing up so well! i can’t wait to see you grow taller and see the beautiful blooms you make! i just know my little pogchamp will-”

“what in lord kusanali’s name are you doing?”

“shut your damn mo- ahem!” you sigh and throw a pointed look at the scribe, “i am conducting a research, mind you. kindly fu- i mean- kindly ignore me and go prepare for your day.”

“enlighten me, then. what kind of research involves baby-talking to a plant?”

you roll your eyes and turn to address him properly, “ugh, fine, if you’re soooo curious, i’ll tell you. so, i read a research journal that testified something along the line of ‘speaking positive words, such as encouragements and praises to a plant, will aid its growth and make them bloom faster’. i’m trying to test that theory. now - this is veveh. i am going to tell him he’s a good, beautiful boy every day and praise him and sing for him. that one,” you point towards the plant at the far opposite side of the room near the windows, “is hawky. i’m going to tell him he’s a bast- the opposite of what veveh is. and we have [nickname] in our bathroom, which will be the control group. i’m going to give them all an equal amount of sunlight and water, and i have a journal and a kamera to regularly record the state of the plants. i plan to monitor them at least three times a day, and-”

“and who named these stupid plants?”

you gasp, scandalized, and swiftly move to cover veveh as if you’re covering a child’s ears from harmful words. which, in this case, the image isn’t far from the truth in your eyes.

“hey!! what did i say?! watch your words!! and it was kaveh’s idea!”

“of course it was,” the scholar sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose, “are you not my significant other? surely you’re smart enough to notice the implications behind the names and the assignments of the roles. why would you agree to make the plant named after me the specific sample that would have to suffer from derogatory words?”

“…”

“…… wait, haitham, are you jealous?”

al haitham blinks and looks at you as if you’ve told him that you’ve replaced him as the akademiya’s scribe and he’s been exiled from the akademiya because his performance is unsatisfactory.

“i never said anything like that.”

“awww, would you like me to tell you you’re a good boy too? want me to tell you how pretty and lovely you are? how you’re doing suuuuch a good job at work? oh, sweetums-”

“i will be leaving now, you’re creeping me out.”

you giggle uncontrollably and lean closer to the tiny plant, snickering and lowering your voice into a whisper as you watch your beloved running away in embarrassment finally leaving you to your own devices, “hey, veveh. your dad is adorable, isn’t he?”

veveh ends up flourishing and its first flower bloomed way ahead of the two, therefore concluding your research on a high note. however, the morning after you submit your first draft of your thesis, you find the plant missing.

instead, in its place is hawky. you also find your boyfriend sitting right beside it, reading his advanced quantum theories book outloud.

yes, your boyfriend is truly very adorable indeed.

ayato loves dogs, he really does.

he also does not condone animal abuse, and that principle is currently the only thread that’s preventing him from pushing the animal away from your lap. your lap, which should have been his pillow. his much-needed, much-deserved, comfiest pillow on teyvat that could make him fall asleep in minutes and is the only reason he would skip work.

“oh, darling, i thought you were busy?” you ask in surprise upon seeing his form standing by the door.

“i needed a break, i was getting a little stressed,” he says, walking towards your side to sit on the cushion, hoping you’ll catch on to what he’s implying with both his words and actions.

your eyes are shining as you regard him, and his heart jumps-

“good job, i’m happy you’re not overworking yourself, love.”

“... why, thank you.”

you nod and glance down as taroumaru twitches and whines in his sleep, crooning softly at the adorable sight of the animal’s twitching legs.

“i wonder what he’s dreaming about,” you giggle softly.

ayato doesn’t understand how you can make him feel as if he’s falling in love with you all over again, yet at the same time, you make him want to punch the nearest wall in frustration.

with a tired sigh, he flops his head onto your shoulder it should have been your lap darn it and he nuzzles into the fabric of your kimono like a cat that’s seeking attention. the sweet soft laugh escapes your lips once more and he waits.

….

.... your hands are still petting the dog.

this is ridiculous, he thinks. the mutt is asleep; surely you would turn your attention to your poor fiancé, right? surely you wouldn’t be so heartless as to ignore him when he’s seeking you out like this? surely you would pity his overworked self and grant him some comfort even just a little-

“you really don’t have any meetings?”

“…. no, i don’t,” he hums casually and adds an exaggerated yawn.

“i think you need a nap, ayato.”

one of your hands finally rests upon his cheek and caresses his skin lovingly. a content little smile stretches his lips, but it disappears when your touch retreats all too soon for his liking.

maybe he should consider having a ‘no pets allowed in kamisato estate’ rule.

the door suddenly slides open to reveal thoma, who took one good look at the two of you and being the ever so polite man that he is, immediately splutters an apology for interrupting what seemed to be an intimate, relaxing moment between lovers.

the yashiro commissioner seizes the chance.

“it's fine, thoma. you’re here to take taroumaru on a walk, yes?”

at the keyword, the canine’s ears flick and his beady eyes open.

“huh? no, i just-”

“wonderful! why don’t you take him on a long walk, i’d say he’s just itching for some exercise after napping for so long.”

“eh? um-” thoma freezes at the cold smile on the young master’s face and forces a laugh at your inquiring gaze, “-y-yeah! waka is completely right! c’mon boy, it’s time for your walk!”

with a happy bark, the dog leaps out from your lap and bounds towards the housekeeper, who gave the two of you a sheepish nod before sliding the door shut.

ayato hums in satisfaction and reclaims his throne. without him even needing to ask, your fingers settle onto his blue locks, blunt nails scratching his scalp. you bend down to place a loving peck on his forehead, your scent envelopes his senses, and he melts.

ah, the taste of victory is always sweet.

“just one more game!”

“but love-”

“just one more game, please please please please!”

cyno sighs, “you said the same thing three rounds ago.”

i’m tired, i want to cuddle you now, the general mahamatra tries to telepathically communicate right into your brain by staring at you with his soft and downturned vermillion eyes. alas, you are too focused on refining your tcg deck and testing it against the man and the legend himself.

“i swear this time it’ll really be the last!!”

being a rather new player that you are, you’re still clumsy in your actions and strategies, but he can sense you improving with every match you lost. the way you’re so passionate and fully throw yourself into the things you’re interested in never fails to bring a sense of pride into his heart, but seriously - even the most serious of men needs a cuddle every now and then. plus, you fit so well into his arms! can you blame him for being a little needy after a whole three hours of being denied any sort of affection despite the fact that you’re seated right across this stupid table??

you can’t and you shouldn't.

“you promise this will be the last round?”

“for today, yes!”

your boyfriend sighs and nods. yes, his need to cradle you in his arms is overwhelming. but when you look at him with eyes that shine brighter than the stars in the desert at night, how can he refuse? he’d give you a whole oasis if you asked for it. he can last just one more round of tcg.

cyno swears it has to be the longest match of his life.

you’re so cute when you’re thinking over your actions; eyes gazing upon your cards and his in contemplation as you mumble strategies under your breath. you’re so cute when you do a little cheer as the dice gods graced you with luck on your dice rolls. you’re so cute when you gasp in awe as he pulls a rather tricky maneuver that ruined your plans to attack his deck in this round.

archon kusanali give him strength, for you’re so cute and he wants a cuddle so badly.

“nooooooo,” you cry out in despair as he downs the last two of your characters at the same time with a well-timed elemental reaction, your body slumping against the table.

cyno can’t help but smile, although he does feel a bit bad from beating you yet again, so he decides to give you a little tip to hopefully cheer you up, “almost got me there. why don’t you try using a freeze team next time? you have the cards for it, and i think it'll suit your playstyle.”

at once, your head snaps up and you meet his gaze with determined eyes.

oh.

oh, he just dug a grave for himself didn’t he.

“[name]-”

“you’re right. let me- let me rebuild my deck, wait-”

“you promised-”

“i know, i know! just- fifteen minutes! give me fifteen minutes!!”

cyno wishes he could bang his head against the table, rattle his stupid brain and zip big mouth shut.

he just wants a cuddle.

why is it so hard to get a cuddle?

what’s a man gotta do these days for a cuddle??

cyno sees you staring at your character cards with your hand on your chin, clearly in deep thought. your boyfriend then opts to glare at his character cards, as if they were the ones who had stolen his cuddles, but a few seconds into that and he scoffs, looking away to the side as warmth rapidly bloomed across his cheeks.

seriously, what kind of man gets jealous of a card game?

Les Mis socials - official 2023 ranking

Here they are - The results of the "Worst post of 2023" competition and overall an archive for the worst posts the Les Mis social media teams have cursed us with this year.

1- "Who should Marius choose ?" - January 29

That one can be crowned "Worst post of the year" by far - The musical seems to once again have misunderstood three of its most important characters, reducing them to being mere love interests and defining Eponine and Cosette's relationship by a rivalry over Marius.

2 - Cosette at Thanksgiving - November 23

The US competitor also took a very strong stand here - not only because it shows a deep misunderstanding of what the character of Cosette fundamentaly stands for, but also because it can be seen as offensive by many. Putting an abused and starved french child in front of a Thanksgiving meal, really ?

3 - Mother's day - March 19

A picture of Madame Thénardier ? For Mother's day instead of Fantine ? It's more likely than you think. Although on this one the team gets extra credit for acknowledging that Madame Thénardier is not a good mother, which shows an unusual level of understanding when it comes to their own musical.

4 - The Wimbledon post - July 15

Also known as That One Post Where Everything Is Wrong - and for sure not their best use of this promotional picture. From the tennis racket to the editing of Cosette's arms to make her look muscular, it is the proof we never needed that there should not, in fact, be a Cosette for every occasion.Not to mention they somehow messed up the colors of the French flag... not a good look for them.

5 - Christmas Eve - December 24

Just a very disappointing post all around as an adequate way to wrap up this year. On the 200th anniversary of Valjean meeting Cosette in the woods, we got a quality pun and an edited picture that we could, at the very best, consider as inappropriate - would it only be because they added snowflakes to a barricade that was build in June.

Honorable mentions for this year go to :

The Fourth of July post - that surprisingly did not make it in top 5. The US team might win the battle for "Most incorrect use of this Cosette picture" with this one - and it is made even worse by the fact they did not post anything for July 14, the national french holiday.

The World cup one - similar to the Wimbledon post in that it just gets everything wrong overall, from the awful pun to putting Cosette in front of an english flag.

Easter Cosette - not surprising, but still extremely disappointing.

Christmas Cosette - in the same way, it is the exact same post as last year and never fails to disappoint.

Any time they felt the need to put sunglasses on Cosette - which, honestly, was a lot.

A very uncanny use of emojis in every single post, that never gets less disturbing.

Overall a very good year to archive their fuck ups - but they still did not manage to beat the record set last year by the Queen's Jubilee post ! Maybe they will do even better in 2024 ?

Hi it’s me again, the anon who asked about the Joker hating Dick. Back with two more things, sorry. First is Dick being the hardest bat for Cass to read, is that canon or fanon? Another is Dick, Cass, and Bruce being the only bats (heroes?) able to beat Jason in a fight, where is that from?

Dick is just a hard person in general to read for anyone.

Titans (2016) Issue #11

And this is coming from a mind reader and empath.

But in terms of Cass, I think it may be because he's the only one whom she can't tell what he's thinking without him saying something. For example with Tim,

Batgirl (2000) Issue #59

Even though they're just sitting there silently, Cass can identify every emotion that Tim's emoting without him saying a word. However with Dick, she only learns about him by watching his interactions with other people.

Nightwing (1996) Issue #81

She can still read his fighting movements but she doesn't have the same level of emotional understanding of him through body language that she has on everyone else. I guess it comes with him being a born performer. It's like her trying to read Alfred given that Alfred and Dick both understand and bond with each other over their acting abilities.

Another thing about Dick and Cass is that Dick is able to read Cass as easily as Cass is able to read other people.

He's able to identify her weakness and analyze her fighting technique just like she's able to do his. Although Cass wins because she's always quicker on the draw than everyone. It comes with her almost meta-like ability to identify weak points in someone's body language.

So that's canon for emotional understanding I think but unless I have the direct canon panel I can't say for sure.

Dick, Cass, and Bruce being the only ones of the bats to defeat Jason is canon.

Dick beat Jason even after being electrocuted, tranquilized, hit with fear toxin, and blown up in the Battle for the Cowl

Yet even after all this he still wins. He accidentally uses too much strength though and knocks Jason off the ledge

Dick is always controlling his power. He's careful in the way he fights and goes easy on everyone especially if they're his friends of allies (evidenced in Vigilante comic), but when he loses that carefully maintained control, he always wins. There are other instances where Dick wins too but to give one that evens the playing field (where neither holds back), Battle for the Cowl is the best example.

This idea of holding back ties into Bruce too. Bruce doesn't restrain himself nearly half as much as Dick does but he does it too. When he doesn't hold back against Jason, he wins

It's kind of a one-sided fight. He also beats Tim when Tim is Robin but it's a little unfair to use that given than Jason is a trained adult and Tim is sort of just starting out. Also to be fair to Tim, Jason catches him by surprise and hiding but overall I'd say Jason still wins.

He also beats Damian in a fight rather easily

Although Damian has beaten Jason a few time in a no holds barred fight. I guess it just depends on how much they feel like fighting and who's writing. I can't tell with these two but I believe Jason would win eventually.

I can't remember him fighting Stephanie so I'll leave her out. In terms of fighting ability in the batfam, I'd say Jason's solidly in the middle. Still a strong fighter though.

"Seriously?!"

Paul Aron x Driver!Reader

Summary: Prema wanted their drivers to have a nice and relaxing weekend before the season starts, but they paired the roomates for the vacation...who's rooming with Paul?!

Warnings: A little bit of angst, fluff, and google translate Italian

The 2023 season is coming up and Prema has a completely new driver lineup for both Formula 2 and Formula 3.

René being René, decided that taking their drivers for a little get away before the season starts was a great idea, so they went to Amalfi Coast, a little chilly but still beautiful during the winter.

Angelina was the one encharged to make the rooming situation, considering who needs more bonding than others, but seeing that Dino decided to take his girlfriend to bond with his friends as well, the decision was made:

Room 1: Ollie and Fred

Room 2: Dino and Elvira

Room 3: Paul and Y/N

Angelina knows that Paul and Y/N have always had a strained relationship, having been rivals since karting, so that was her masterplan, not only that, but she had shipped those two since they first stepped in the Prema factory back when they started single-seaters.

Going all the way back to 2018, where the real rivalry started, Paul and Y/N were competing in the CIK-FIA championship, throughout the whole season, it was a constant battle between both kids, in the end, Paul ended up winning the championship.

When 2019 rolled around, both kids were surprised to see that Prema had signed a contract with the two of them, even though it was well known that they were rivals, not only on track, but off track too. This took their rivalry to the next level, fighting for the F4 championship, especially the rookie championship…Paul ended up winning, like always.

2020 rolled around, surprisingly, the one that had a seat in Formula Regional was Y/N, not Paul. He sadly didn’t find any seats available for Frec, so he went to formula renault.

This little battle continued. 2021 for FRECA, both were teammates again, though that year, Y/N ended up winning the championship and went to be teammates with Arthur and Ollie in F3 and Paul repeated FRECA alongside Dino. Now in the present, Dino, Paul and Y/N are back being in the same team.

The tension grew so much that Angelina wanted it to end, because they needed a good year for the Formula 3 team. So she put her plan in action. She passed this idea through René first and of course he was beaming with glee. He needed those two to get along.

When everyone got to the hotel, the roommates were announced. Everyone was trying to hold in their giggles when they saw Paul and Y/N’s faces.

“Angelina, this has to be a joke, right?” Y/N said, “I thought you said that , well besides Dino, the ones that shared an academy were going to share!”

“Yeah! Angelina, it should be me and Fred and Ollie with Y/N” Paul said while aggravatedly running his fingers through his hair.

“Guys, we need you to get along, please!” René pleaded, “I know teammates don’t have to be best friends, but at least be civil with each other” He finishes

Y/N and Paul sighed and followed everyone to the elevator. They were glaring at each other, Y/N was thinking of ways to be apart throughout the whole trip, she was planning on doing everything with Ollie, who was her best friend, and just go back to the room to sleep. Paul on the other hand was thinking of spending time with both Fred and Dino, mostly with Fred though, because he didn’t want to interrupt the time Dino and his girlfriend would have together.

Funny thing is that underneath all that hatred between Paul and Y/N, everyone knows that they actually have a thing for each other. Except the two idiots in question.

Y/N is a completely hopeless romantic, but never gives love a try because she is terrified that no one will get used to her hectic schedule and just overall, to her hectic life. She started to feel something for Paul when she saw all her friends starting to get into relationships, not because of the FOMO, but because she spent most of her time with him, and even though they would bicker most of the time, Y/N would imagine what it would be like dating Paul.

For Paul, it is a whole different story. He never lacked the attention of girls, he had plenty, but he felt a weird connection with Y/N ever since they met. As a dumb kid, he started to annoy Y/N to get her attention, but it backfired on him when, during karting years, he accidentally took Y/N out of the track, getting p1. After the race, he went up to Y/N to make a lighthearted joke, but for very obvious reasons, Y/N was absolutely mad and upset at Paul, and everything went downhill for their relationship.

Both, being the stubborn teens they are, refused to acknowledge their feeling for eachother, so they decided to cover it up with “hatred”. It was easier that way, but not when they have to spend so much time together. Being teammates sometimes sucked.

Once they arrived at their respective rooms, Paul and Y/N were stunned when they saw just one bed in the room.

“You’ve got to be kidding me” Both said at the same time.

“I could always sleep on the floor, Y/N” Paul sighed and looked at Y/N, “Take the bed” He said with a soft tone.

Paul was fed up with the fights between him and Y/N, so he will take the opportunity of fixing his relationship with her. No matter how much it costs, he will fix it.

“We can share” Y/N mumbled, “Choose your side of the bed, I will go out to explore with Ollie for a while” She finished, leaving her luggage close to the closet and left the room.

Paul felt almost defeated. Key word being almost. He was sometimes jealous about Y/N’s friendship with Ollie. He had nothing against that nice british kid, but seeing them hang out almost everyday was upsetting. He knew that those two were close due to them being in the same academy, and being teammates last year.

Y/N on the other hand, couldn’t stand the thought of Paul hating her, so that’s why she mostly hung out with Ollie, Arthur and Dino. But mainly Ollie, they bonded over being to young kids in Formula 3, trying to meet everyone’s expectations. For Y/N, Ollie has been the only person to actually know about her true feelings towards Paul, he always gave her advice about what she could do with Paul, but funny enough, she was terrified. Y/N was more scared to show her true feelings than driving a car at 100 mph.

The whole team wanted Y/N and Paul to notice that both are just overthinking everything, and just start kind of fresh, for them to be friends or even something more.

It was around 7pm, everyone was supposed to meet at the lobby at 8 so they could go and have dinner.

Paul was trying to ignore the presence of Y/N until he could really know what he wanted to do about their relationship, but it was hard to ignore it when all he could hear was the angelic (at least that’s what he thought) voice of Y/N. She was softly singing Vienna by Billy Joel. Paul knew that Y/N loves that song.

Paul, in small worlds, was delighted. He was delighted by every single little thing about his new teammate. He was in too deep, he knew, and was okay with it.

Y/N could feel Paul’s eyes staring at her and it was making her feel happy and confused. Was it that she was ugly? Is that why he is staring? She was trying not to overthink it more than she already does.

When Y/N finished her makeup, she left the bathroom and went to the bed to put on her shoes, and once again, she felt Paul’s gaze in her.

“Hey, are you okay? Do I have something in my face for you to be staring at?” Y/N finally asked with a slight humor in her voice.

“No, not at all. You just look beautiful” Paul said truthfully, looking into Y/N eyes.

“Oh, um, thanks” She said blushing and staring back into Paul’s beautiful eyes, “You don’t look too bad yourself” She finished, focusing on her heels to pretend that it wasn’t a big deal.

Paul smiled at Y/N, even though she couldn’t see it. He was beaming with joy at the thought that they were kind of fixing things, but he still had a long way to go with their funny dynamic.

“We should start heading down, everyone might be there already” Paul voiced to Y/N. She just nodded and grabbed her bag.

Both made their way to the elevator, Paul behind Y/N like a bodyguard. Once they got to the lobby, they didn’t see anyone on the team, so they just decided to go to the restaurant.

“The reservation is under René’s name, right?” Y/N asked and Paul nodded in agreement.

“Ciao, posso aiutarti?” A nice lady asked (Hello, may I help you)

“Ciao, si” Y/N said in a slight broken italian, “Abbiamo una prenotazione a nome René Rosin” She confidently said (Hi, yes. We have a reservation under the name René Rosin)

“Ok, seguimi per favore” The lady said. Both kids followed her and came to a halt when they saw that the table was for two, “Ecco il tuo tavolo, torna subito con i menu” And she left. (Okay, follow me please. Here is your table, be right back with the menus).

Both kids looked at each other in confusion. They sat down and Y/N texted Angelina.

“Angelina just told me that we have to stay here and talk everything out” Y/N huffed out, “I think everyone wants us to fix our relationship” She softly spoked.

Y/N hesitated before gazing up at Paul. He had a shy smile on and waited for a little before starting to talk.

“You know, I never hated you” Paul said with confidence but at the same time, in a hushed voice, “I’ve always liked you, as a person and as a driver. I always find ways to annoy you so I could get your attention” He said with truth gleaming on his eyes, “I never wanted you to hate me, but in my dumb kid head, I thought that it was the only way you could actually notice me” He stopped for a brief moment, “I really like you, as more than just a person and a driver. I’ve always wanted you by my side, when I had a good or a bad race, the only thing going on in my mind was you” He finished.

Y/N was shocked. She never thought that Paul could be slightly interested in her, never. She always saw the attention he got from other girls and was terrified to compete against them.

“Y/N? Are you okay?” Paul asked, “I shouldn’t have said any of that, goddammit, I scared you, didn’t I?” He frantically let out.

Y/N looked at him, and saw that his eyes were telling nothing but the truth. She was just speechless because of how happy she felt.

Paul stood up from the table and was about to leave, but Y/N stopped him immediately by his wrist.

“Paul, sit down” He looked puzzled at Y/N, “Please” She said softly. He obliged and eventually sat down with his head hanging low, “I really like you too. More than a person and a driver, my eyes have always been just for you” She quietly stated.

“Seriously?!” Paul asked, raising his head up to see Y/N smiling sweetly at him and nodding.

“Yup, I just followed your game because I literally thought you hated me” She giggled at Paul’s face.

“Well, now you know that I feel everything but hatred for you” Paul laughed and couldn’t resist to press a kiss to Y/N’s lips, “That was just the beginning sweetheart” He goofily smiled at the girl he had heart eyes since he was a pre teen.

“Yeah…I guess we have to thank everyone for setting this up” Y/N pecked Paul on his lips and thought that it was the beginning to a very long story.

My Top Solo Leveling Ships

Wanted to talk a little about them, so I'll just list three main reasons why I like them otherwise this post will be endless. There are a lot of other ships I like, but these are the main ones

It's a little unhinged, but that shouldn't be new

1. ChoiBaek

This shouldn't be a surprise

They are aware of the other's intentions without needing to tell each other. They both read other people and each other very well. The only reason they don't get along is because when both of them want the same thing (recruiting Sung Jin-Woo, a gate in the area, etc), they are both very willing to fight for what they want and use their perceptiveness to their advantage. One of them doesn't mind having his thoughts being known while the other minds a lot

They both want their guild become stronger but not at the expense of their members. They have the same morals, but the actions they take because of their morals are different. Baek Yoon-Ho wants to make his guild stronger by focusing on what his members need as individuals (paying them more, training new recruits with stronger and more experienced members, etc). Choi Jong-In wants to make his guild stronger by focusing on improving how the teams work together (hunting in a orderly way to minimize injuries as much as possible, taking a leadership role to make sure none of the members are falling behind, making sure the teams are adequately prepared, etc). Both of them care a lot about other people, though they don’t make it obvious to others

Both know the other is strong (Choi Jong-In defends Baek Yoon-Ho when Sung Jin-Woo thinks Yoon-Ho is struggling during the Jeju sparring match while Baek Yoon-Ho is aware of Choi Jong-In's strength during the Jeju Raid) but tend to underestimate themselves (Baek Yoon-Ho believing he wouldn't have been able to win against the Japanese S-Ranks when he held out for a while on his own against two of them, and Choi Jong-In seeing his title as "a joke" after comparing himself to Sung Jin-Woo when he always has to limit how much of his powers he actually uses because of the people around him or the environment he is in)

This got long anyways... sorry. The others are shorter

2. SungPark

I wanted to see them more than the main couple

They are both selfless to the point where they make sure others are alright before taking care of themselves

They both want their family to be safe and happy and make taking care of their children their priority. Park Kyung-Hye tells her son it's okay for him to be a hunter, even though it's the reason why Sung Il-Hwan is gone, and she understands that it's something both her husband and son feel like they need to do

The way Kyung-Hye kept waiting for her husband to return home and knew the exact moment when he wouldn't be coming back Ripped my heart to SHREDS-

They were so in love laskdjfasdlf

3. MinLee

AKA younger!SungPark

Both of them have similar trauma, so they're able to help each other, especially since they're both retired

Even they have trauma, they have put their fears aside to help people more. Both participate in the last Jeju raid despite Min Byung-Gyu being traumatized from the last one and Lee Ju-Hee being traumatized from her previous raids

The way Lee Ju-Hee hardly showed up after she told Sung Jin-Woo she was retiring and Min Byung-Gyu barely being mentioned besides his trip to Japan before the Jeju Raid? There's so much potential for them to actually meet-

I see them as the "bunny couple"

4. ChulWoo

This was actually one of the first ships I really got into

The way Woo Jin-Chul knew Sung Jin-Woo from the beginning and was watching Sung Jin-Woo get stronger without realizing it at first

The way Woo Jin-Chul looked at Sung Jin-Woo in the new timeline when he remembered the previous timeline-

Honestly, in my opinion, Sung Jin-Woo had more potential with Woo Jin-Chul than Cha Hae-in. Like, Sung Jin-Woo avenging Go Gun-Hee not just for his sake but for Woo Jin-Chul? Sung Jin-Woo actually trying to not give Jin-Chul a headache but failing? I love their dynamic

5. HeeSeok

This is probably the most cracked ship out of these, but it's cute

Both of them have a caring, almost parent-like nature (Park Hee-Jin looking after Han Song-Yi during the Red Gate and Eun-Seok looking after and warning Min Byung-Gyu during the third Jeju Raid)

It's actually possible for them to have known each other despite it not being stated in canon (Eun-Seok was a member of the Fiend Guild, and Park Hee-Jin could have been a member of the Fiend Guild as well before leaving for White Tiger. The game might change this part about Park Hee-Jin, but I'll stick with it for now)

The way Eun-Seok wears a scarf with his hunter's outfit, and then Park Hee-Jin gets stuck in a frost Red Gate? And Park Hee-Jin looks somewhat okay despite it being cold, so it seems like both are fine in cold environments

Actually, in my monarch/ruler AU, Frost Monarch!Eun-Seok could be the reason Park Hee-Jin gets stuck there in that Red Gate...hmm

Prompt: As you navigate the Devildom, you find yourself caught in the middle of the Demon Brothers' affections. Each one has their unique way of expressing their feelings, but in the end, their love for you is undeniable. While their approaches might differ, their ultimate goal is the same: to win your heart and cherish you as their own.

1. Asmodeus, the Envious: Asmodeus, being the demon of lust and desire, would certainly make his intentions clear from the start. He'd shower you with compliments and affectionate gestures, always vying for your attention. He'd show off his stylish outfits and impeccable grooming skills, making sure to look his best whenever you're around. Asmodeus would go the extra mile to make you feel special, constantly seeking ways to sweep you off your feet.

2. Mammon, the Greedy: Mammon, the Avatar of Greed, would use his natural competitiveness to win your affection. He'd shower you with gifts and lavish attention, always trying to outdo his brothers. Mammon would brag about his treasures and boast of his exploits to impress you. He'd take you on exciting adventures and show you the best that the Devildom has to offer, hoping to capture your heart with his charm and generosity.

3. Leviathan, the Envious: Leviathan, the Avatar of Envy, might have a more shy and subtle approach to win your affection. He'd spend countless hours researching your interests and hobbies, trying to find common ground. He'd invite you to play video games or watch anime together, creating a shared bond. Leviathan would open up about his passions and vulnerabilities, hoping to connect with you on a deeper level. 4. Satan, the Wrathful: Satan, the Avatar of Wrath, would initially come across as standoffish and reserved. Why do you say Ted is worse than Ross

Because he is - and I say this as someone whose least favorite character of the main six in Friends is Ross because the dude can piss me off A LOT.

Ross is selfish, whinny, spoiled, obsessive and immature like Ted. But the writers of Friends were far more self-aware than the writers of How I Met Your Mother - mainly because they were not using Ross as a self-insert, and would not use Twitter to say shit like "If you ship Rachel with Joey instead of with Ross, you're the reason people like Trump get elected and destroy nations." No, I am not kidding, that actually happened.

Ted CONSTANTLY acts like a creep and the show treats it as fully romantic, and if a woman (mainly Robin) is turned off by it, the show tries to spin it as "She's afraid of commitment" or some bullshit. When Ross is getting possessive over Rachel the show actually allows her to call him out and she doesn't always run straight to his arms - not to mention, she can act just as unreasonable and entitled, meanwhile the most Robin does is say "Maybe, someday, if we're both single and miserable and no one else wants either of us, I'd consider marrying you."

Even Ross's most absurd moments get a bit more of pass because they're (usually) meant to:

1 - Show that the character is flawed (Him constantly getting paranoid that Rachel is gonna cheat on him with her co-worker is meant to show he's insecure, jealous, possessive AND doesn't listen when she repeatedly says she loves HIM, not this other dude - though the writers do still want the audience to root for him and Rachel to find a way to make it work)

2 - Make a joke about how he's kind of insane (see him not telling Rachel they're still married because he can't have another failed marriage - a situation in which NO ONE in the cast makes excuse for him, and we even have Chandler rightfully saying "At point did you think this was a successful marriage?")

Meanwhile the writers of HIMYM did things like:

1 - Say Ted breaking up with a girl on her birthday, through an answering machine that all the guests in her surprise party heard before she did, finding her years later, winning her back, then breaking up with her on her birthday AGAIN is totally just what was meant to be because "Well, she found true love later"

2 - Have him use "It was past 2am" as an excuse to cheat on his girlfriend/lie to Robin about being single to sleep with her.

3 - Make him have an emotional affair with a married woman that then left her husband (who thought of Ted as friend) for him, accept getting back together with his ex that was engaged and then left the groom at the altar, and make a move on his ex that was engaged to one of his best friends on the weekend on their wedding.

4 - HAVE TED TELL HIS KIDS HE WANTS TO TELL A STORY ABOUT HOW HE MET THEIR DEAD MOTHER, BUT IT'S ACTUALLY ABOUT HOW HE ALWAYS LOVED A DIFFERENT WOMAN THAT HE WAS STILL OBSESSED WITH AFTER 25 YEARS.

Not to mention, even the stuff in Friends that genuinely did not age well at all and that the writers weren't self-aware about in any way have a bigger excuse than the stuff HIMYM did because Friends started in 1994 and ended in 2004, yet HIMYM was on the same level, if not worse, and it started in 2005 and ended in 2014. There's a reason audiences tolerated Ross's shenanigans way more than they tolerated Ted's - Friends was a product of it's times, HIMYM felt behind it's time. Ross feels like a typical character you'd see in the 90's, Ted feels like the hero of every "Nice Guy" that is actually not nice at all.

Plus, Ross had much better chemistry with Rachel than Ted ever did with Robin (or literally any love interest except the Mother) and the series made sure to never give us an alternative pairing that was much better than the planned one like HIMYM did with Barney and Robin (and I say this as someone that ships Joey and Rachel). And while Josh Radnor made the rare good scene of Ted feel great, David Schiwimmer, and the entire cast of Friends really, made mediocre or downright bad scenes enjoyable or at least tolerable. The only one in the HIMYM cast with the same talent was Neil, who was playing the character that we were not supposed to actually want to see get the girl, which just made it even easier for audiences to root for Barney, not Ted.

It's just a perfect storm of different factors that makes a character like Ross getting a happy ending after all the shit he pulled MUCH easier to accept than when that happens to a Ted type, hence the finale of Friends still being incredibly beloved by nearly everyone, while HIMYM's ending was absolutely hated to the point that it shelved the planned spin off and put the showrunner's careers in limbo for nearly a decade.

It's You (Alexia x Reader)

A/N: Made out of request 1 & 2. Hope you have a great day!

It's hard to point out when exactly the relationship between you and your girlfriend turned so sour.

You two met at a bar where you and your team celebrated the win against your rival Real Madrid.

She approached you and invited you to a drink, which later turned into a few more drinks, with the conversation between you flowing easy.

Throughout the whole evening you two talked, joked and just enjoyed each other's presence, so when the time to leave came around you two exchanged numbers, agreeing to arrange a date sometime soon.

One date turned into a second and so on, soon you made things official with each other and everything was going amazing.

That was almost 8 month ago.

You two decided to move in together 2 months ago, and that's around the time when things shifted between you.

It started off with her getting annoyed whenever you told her you would be out meeting up with Alexia.

Alexia and you became friends immediately after you joined Barcelona 3 years ago. She helped you settle in with showing you around and explaining the play style, even offering to stay longer with you after training to make sure you are on the same level as everyone else on the team.

So friends turned quickly into best friends, spending a lot of time together, seeking each other out when comfort is needed and so on, but that's all it was between you both, a close friendship.

That's why it took you by surprise when your girlfriend confronted you the first time about you possibly having feelings for your best friend. You never saw Alexia that way, of course you thought she was an amazing woman but after building a friendship that quick, it didn't even occur to your mind that there could be something more between you two.

You denied it, of course, but she never seemed to really believe you when you said that. Even stating that she is sure that Alexia has feelings for you, which again took you by surprise because from your point of view she never showed signs she could be into you.

From that moment on you two could barely go one day without fighting, she always seems to find a way to start an argument, and you couldn't just let it go. You couldn't understand why she was so jealous and wouldn't trust you.

So here you are standing in the living room fighting once again over a stupid topic with your girlfriend.

"Why does she have to hug you in front of all these people, huh?!" She angrily screams at you.

"It's normal to celebrate a goal! In case you didn't notice, but the other girls hugged me too!" You say annoyed but trying not to raise your voice too much.

She completely ignores the second part of your answer and follows up with "I don't care what you say, you know I don't like it when you are that close to her!" at this point, it seems like she keeps getting angrier at every word that's being spoken.

"She's my best friend! And it was a simple hug, I don't understand what the issue is here! Like I said, it was a normal goal celebration!" You answer, voice now rising a bit more.

"Yeah right, hugging on field and as soon as you were off you probably screwed each other!" She screams right back, completely blinded by anger and jealousy.

You were taken aback, yes she was jealous and accused you that there were feelings between you two, but never accused you of cheating on her before.

Hearing her say that hurt you, because cheating was never an option for you, you despise it and having it being thrown at you hurts you more than you thought it would.

Letting out a defeated "Wow.", you take your keys and jacket before leaving the apartment.

You found yourself at Alexia's door. Even though almost all of your fights seem to be around her, she is still your first destination when being upset. After all, she is your best friend.

Your mind is running, replaying the words she threw at you during that argument, not getting over the fact that she really thought you would stoop so low and cheat on her with your best friend. You didn't even notice the tears that starting falling down your cheeks.

The door opening breaks you out of your thoughts, Alexia smiles when she realizes it's you standing there, the smile quickly fades tho when she sees the tears running down your face.

Pulling you inside her flat she immediately takes you in her arms holding you tight, "What happened? Did you two fight again?" She asks, clearly concerned.

All you did was simply nodding your head before you started sobbing, the tension that was pent-up from all the fights over the past months, finally breaking, you needed to let it all out.

"I'm sorry, I just didn't know where to go." you say with a low voice, scared you might destroyed any plans she could have had before you arrived.

That just concerned her even more, she knew about the fights between you and your girlfriend, but you were never that upset before and showing up unannounced was something neither of you ever apologized before.

"Hey, it's okay, I got you." Is all she says in return before pulling you to the couch trying to calm you down.

The next morning you woke up to the smell of coffee, sitting up you look around confused before realizing that you are in Alexias living room.

As if she knew you woke up, she came in with two steaming mugs in her hand, you pull the blanket off of you before accepting one of the mugs she held out to you.

"Thank you." you muttered before taking a sip.

"Of course" she replies before taking a sip herself, keeping an eye on you as you kept your eyes on the coffee in your hand.

"How are you?" she asks you with a soft voice.

Letting out a sigh, you put your mug on the small table in front of the couch, "Honestly? I've been better." you state.

"Do you want to talk about what happened? I have never seen you that upset before." she says, carefully.

"I'm sorry, it has just been so much lately, all we do is fight, and her accusing me of cheating on her yesterday was apparently the last straw. I just couldn't hold my emotions anymore." you tell her, it was obvious that you were still upset about what happened yesterday.

Alexia was angry, she can't believe that your girlfriend really accused you of cheating, everyone who knew you knows that it's something you wouldn't even dream of doing.

Honestly, Alexia can't stand your girlfriend, in the beginning she was happy for you finding someone but after the fights between you started happening more often and always having to comfort you in some way she couldn't help but start to dislike her.

"She did what?! How does she even come up with something like that? Who would you even cheat with her on?!" She speaks clearly angry about the words that your girlfriend said to you.

You stayed silent for a second, debating if you really want to tell her the truth, you never told her that the topics of your fights involved her being friends with you, not wanting her to feel bad or worse loosing her.

"You." Is all you say.

"Me?" She replied confused.

So you started talking, explaining to her what the fights are always about. Your girlfriend thinking that she likes you and vice versa. You simply let all out, feeling better when you were done.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know that happened. But it's not healthy, you know?" She says, taken aback by the information you just dropped on her.

"You have nothing to be sorry about!" you quickly point out. "It's not your fault, I just don't know why she behaves that way... and yes, I do know it's not healthy." you say defeated.

"Maybe you should talk it out with her and if it ends badly again, you can stay here in the spare room for a while." she offers you.

"You are right and thank you." you reply with a sigh.

After you both finished your coffee and had some light breakfast, you make your way home to your shared apartment.

Little do you know that your girlfriend is right, Alexia does have feelings for you, she just never knew how to approach you.

Making your way in, you take off your shoes before looking for your girlfriend. You find her sitting in the kitchen, drinking coffee.

"Hey." you quietly greet her.

"Hi." she replies shortly before getting back to drinking her coffee.

Letting out a sigh, you make your way over, "I think we should talk."

Turning her attention to you, she states, "We should, I want you to choose."

Eyes widening you speak surprised "What? Choosing what?"

"Between her and me." she declared.

You just stand there for a minute, again, totally taken back by the words she spoke.

"She is my best friend!" You exclaim upset.

"So it's her, then? You are choosing her over me?" She replies angry.

"You know what? If that's really what you want, then yes, it's her. She is my best friend and if you can't come to accept that her and I will always be friends, then it is her that I'm choosing." You say defeated, but still with a sure voice.

Letting out a dry chuckle, "I knew it." she muttered, "and you say there was nothing, of course."

Before you could answer, she followed up, "I want you to leave. Take your stuff and get out of here."

Deciding to not say anything, you pack your stuff and make your way out of the apartment.

You accepted Alexia's offer of staying with her after the break-up until you find yourself an own apartment again.

It's been a little over two months now, the search for an own apartment seems to get slower every day, almost like the both of you don't really want you to leave.

You loved the daily movie nights, going to training and leaving it together, having her by your side when you are eating and giving her company when Nala has to get out.

That's where you slowly wake up from your stupor, "Ale" you say.

"No really we can just forget I said anything and go back to how it was." she keeps on rambling out in a fast way.

"Alexia."

"Maybe we should head back now, it's late and..."

"I like you too. " You announced.

That put a stop to her rambling, staring at you in surprise and disbelief over the words you just said.

There is a silence between the both of you before she decides to step closer to you, "Can I kiss you now?" she whispered.

"Please do."

Both of you lean in, as soon as your lips touched you feel butterflies in your stomach.

The first kiss was short-lived, pulling away to see each other reaction, after you both made sure that it is what you want you two lean in again.

This kiss was longer and more passionate, the two of you putting all your emotions into it.

When air became a problem, you pulled away, biting her lip during it.

"You can't do that, especially not here." she states, still dazed from what just happened.

"Why not?" you reply in a teasing tone.

"I might have to show you later, but for now we have a movie waiting for us at home." she exclaims before taking your hand and start walking again.

The movie is still playing when you suddenly blurt out "It's You.".

She looks your way, "It's Me?" obviously confused by your random words.

"Yea, You. You were the right choice. You are there for me no matter what, you are always the first person I seek out when something happened or who I want to share news with. Not only that, but you are the person that always makes me feel comfortable and happy with who I am. I can't believe it took me that long to realize that it always has been and always will be you." you explain.

Overwhelmed with what you just said, she simply pulls you into a kiss, showing all her emotions she can't put into words right now.

The kiss full of emotions turns quickly into a make out session, once again biting her lip when pulling away.

"I thought I told you that you can't do that" She comments, eyes a bit darker now.

"What are you gonna do about it?"

"Oh, you will see." she exclaims before pulling you to the bedroom.

Klaus: hearing someone being vehemently defensive of him would get to Klaus a lot more than you'd think it would. he's heard all sorts of second-hand 'information' about himself, some true if harsh, some just straight up slander. he's really not used to anyone outside his immediate circle seeing him as anything but a Handmaiden (and everything horrific that comes with the title). he'd have a newfound appreciation and respect for Io, even more on a platonic level than anything else

Connie: shocked, bamboozled, and absolutely dumbstruck at this new information, especially if it's coming from an Io that likes to pester Constantine. For a hot minute wonders if this is a set up and Io's actually playing 4D chess, though once they cross that possibility off the list, they're retroactively replaying every interaction they've ever had with Io and reevaluating everything

Kat: shit talk about herself doesn't really bother Kat at all, but she definitely appreciates Io's pushback. she'd be most affected by Io going on about her more mundane, innocent qualities. hearing herself humanized would surprise her, maybe even unsettle her a bit, but in a way that actually feels... good. she wouldn't bring it up directly, but I can see her probing Io for more- honestly out of curiosity rather than egotism.

Okay so I play volleyball and I have played for 3 years now and I just lost miserably in a game and suddenly got the idea of writing about the greasers on a volleyball team because there's 7 of them and that's perfect for at least one sub and I'm a total genius.

Okay so at my school we just have random numbers for our jerseys so I feel like they would too because my school is a public school and I'm assuming it's like that for most public schools considering every team we Olay is the same

Dallas would really want to be number 1 but darry would obviously have it instead.

Dallas would grumble and complain but would settle for number 17.

Johnny would be 33

Ponyboy would be 11

Sodapop would be 50

Steve would be 46

And two-bit would immediately choose 69 because for some reason the school thought it'd be a good idea to have a jersey with that number.

Of course, to everybody's dismay, the boys do not wear spandex like girls do. They just wear basketball shorts that match the jerseys.

I can totally see oneof those fuckers showing up to practice in short shorts or spandex just to be funny

Oh I should probably explain volleyball for those who haven't ever played!

So there's 6 people on the court at a time and you rotate every time you gain a point for the opposing team losinga point. There's two rows or 3 people, one front and one back. There's 6 positions which are simply numbers. You can set, bump, spike, and serve the ball but you can't lift or carry it. Your not aloud to touch the net either or go on the other side of the court. It's pretty simple but I'm horrible at explaining so I suggest looking up the rules

Ponyboy can barely get a serve over the net underhand BUT he's really good at setting the ball for Dallas who spikes it down so hard the other team stares back in fear.

Darry has a scary ass overhand serve that always hits very close to the back line which causes him to score tons of aces for the boys until he fucks up and serves it into the net. He's also really good at literally everything and he's a ball hog but we still love him anyway <3

Steve is loud and always cheering and his sportsmanship is actually terrible.

He'll fuck up a serve or something and he'll scream "SHIT" and the coach (Mr curtis if he was still alive) would sub him out almost immediately for sodapop or Johnny.

Sodapop acts so sweet and his sportsmanship is really good and he's great at digging the balls in the back row and popping them up for everybody else. When they lose he's all cheery and has the "well get em next time don't worry it was a good game!" Attitude but that boy is actually so angry and upset and is secretly wishing death upon the opposing team.

He rants to Steve about it after games all the time.

Johnny, despite being a scrawny little guy, is actually so intimidating in games. He takes it so seriously and his overhand is TERRIFYING. He's not the same level as darry but he does surprise the opposing teams a ton because who knew this scrawny kid could hit that ball so hard?

Two-Bit takes nothing seriously and he's always messing up to make people laugh. He always cheers the boys on from the sidelines (he's rarely ever in the game because the boys really really want to try and win) and he's so loud too. He's like a supportive mom level loud and he will sometimes argue with the ref or the lines people because those motherfuckers call out when the ball is OBVIOUSLY IN.

I'm not sure what else to write but lmk if i should do more???

I don’t write for UA students but Bakugo and me are the same person and we’d be best friends if I was at UA 😂. I was listening to Bakugo by KVMIL and it just had me thinking about Bakugo x black american bestfriend reader (this has been sitting in my drafts forever lol might as well let it go)

No warnings, just two foreign besties with bad attitudes and terrible language (purely platonic)

Katsuki definitely speaks English, he’s a rich kid, and his parents traveled to the states a lot for work and they used to takes him in the summer. He just refuses to speak English because he thinks it sounds stupid.

The back and forth trips are how he ended up meeting you in the first place the summer between first and second grade. Your parents were working on a collaborative design line focusing on mixing Japanese and African American street fashion styles

Neither of you liked each other. He was loud and you thought his red eyes were creepy. He thought you were a loser and hated the noise your hair made when you walked (it was the beads, he thinks they look “cool or whatever” now though) you guys actually ended up fighting, Mitsuki thought it was funny because Katsuki lost (he started it) she bought you ice cream for winning.

After that day you guys came to an agreement to not speak to each other but by day 3 of vacation you were sharing games and sending each other colored screens on your DSIs. You guys did argue everyday of that summer though, and every day of every summer you spent together until middle school when he started staying in Japan to train.

Fast forward to high school and you still text each other. He’s at UA and you’re at a well known hero school in the states. Both of you are loud mouths with quirks worthy of helping saving lives (yours a quirk reversal/theft quirk that allowed you to reverse a persons quirk or utilize their abilities for a certain amount of time, like toga and all for one mixed).

Let’s just say your school has a sports festival similar to UAs that’s also televised and streamed nationally and internationally which prompts Miruko to want you intern abroad with her. Of course you accept and your school works with UA to get you into a transfer program thus starting your 1 year stent at UA. Now for fun’s sake you didn’t tell Katsuki you were coming to UA so imagine his surprise when all the rest of 1A is talking about some American transfer student and he walks into the common room and sees you sitting there.

“What. What the fuck are you doing here you fucking loser” the rest of 1A is shook, they know he’s an ass but they didn’t think he’d just be mean to new student. Just when they get ready to intervene you respond to him with a “you know you’re happy to see me fucker it’s been like 3 years” and the rest of the class is just like wtf is going on here. Y’all of course explain that you knew each other and that you’re besties. Deku being the only one not surprised considering you’d met him once before.

From then on you too go back into your old ways from childhood but with added addition of training. When you’re not busy with Miruko and him with Jeanist y’all go back to the Bakugo house and eat dinner with Mitsuki and Masaru.

You make him apologize to deku (long before canon) when he tells you what happened during middle school and how the first half of the semester had been. You beat his ass and told him to get over himself (he knew you were right).

You and Deku going feral when he gets hurt, LOV attacks and the three of you have to be put on house arrest by Iida cause y’all get too emotional over one another

Forcing him to class 1A gatherings. Neither of you wanna go but Mina saw you two getting ready to disappear after dinner and dragged y’all to movie night

Katsuki likes American food. Spice levels are just a little higher, flavors are a little more intense than typical Japanese food. You can cook a little bit and help him make American style dinners for everybody sometimes

People think you guys are partners cause of how relaxed you two are around each other but he’s like your brother and you would kiss m*neta before Katsuki

Yeah just two foreign besties (your American friends thought you were lying about your best friend living in Japan all through middle school, they didn’t realize you were serious until you moved and FaceTimed them with Katsuki in the camera)

TTEOTM is the most viewed non-dangai xianxia drama since Ashes of Love 😮

With the conclusion of Yunhe (云合)'s airing period on Jun 11, we can officially say that TTEOTM is the biggest non-dangai xianxia drama since 2018, with 68M views/episode!

2023 Yunhe Playback per Episode - #1 is The Knockout, #2 is TTEOTM

Kuyun (酷云), a different data platform unaffiliated with any online streamer, also put TTEOTM at 70M views/episode, but its data only go back two years, so we use Yunhe to compare further back.

This makes TTEOTM the #2 show in 2023. Since 2023 is not yet over, if it aired in another year, it would overtake #2 in 2022, #4 in 2021, and #6 in 2020. (Viewership used to be higher in past years, more on that later)

Just to provide a bit context on why this is so insane, so beyond anyone's expectations:

TTEOTM aired exclusively on Youku, the weakest of the big 3 platforms. Youku only has 1/3 to 1/2 of iQiyi and Tencent's daily active user base. If you look at the top 10 dramas in 2018-2022, all of them aired on iQiyi, Tencent, many of them on both or even all 3 platforms. Before TTEOTM, Youku's biggest web exclusive drama is Who is He, police mystery featuring Knockout Star Zhang Yi at 44M views/episode. And before 2023, the highest a Youku exclusive web drama has ever ranked on the annual list is #15 (The Blue Whisper).

The xianxia genre is thought to have a limited audience (young women) even though it generates a lot of fanfare. This might be surprising given how well it travels abroad. However, if you look at the top 3-4 shows each year, it's usually a mix of historical family dramas, crime/thrillers, modern/urban dramas.

April is considered a shit airing slot, especially for xianxias which rely on students on break. Almost all of the top shows in previous years aired during summer or winter holidays. The #1 show in 2022 aired in Nov-Dec, but that was when everyone in China was stuck at home with Covid...

TV viewership has been on the decline with share of attention shifted to short form content and other forms of entertainment. Since 2019 there have been very few mega hits at the same level of Eternal Love or Yanxi Palace until Knockout came along. Very few costume dramas are able to land a coveted TV slot, and web dramas now tend to air on one instead of multiple platforms.

Therefore, most of the data observers thought that 35-40M would be a win and 50-60M near impossible. It's fun to see people bumping up old posts/polls to see how far off predictions were (especially when commenters start backtracking and raising the bar for an explosive hit.) Most people, like myself, benchmarked against Youku's 2022 xianxias: Blue Whisper (37M) and Immortal Samsara (36M). Both featured dual dinglius and the latter aired during the summer.

There are also a few other things stacked against TTEOTM's playback numbers:

Yunhe is affiliated with iQiyi (created to provide data to advertisers). It tends to discount views more harshly when it comes to Youku & Tencent dramas.

Youku has weaker "long-tail" effect again due to its smaller default user base. The drama is bringing users to the platform, not the other way around. After the big promotional push and buzz dies down, it's harder for new viewers to discover the show.

Immediately after TTEOTM finished airing, Youku pushed users towards Back from the Brink and stopped promoting TTEOTM on its main page.

In fact, Youku locked most episodes unusually quickly (such that people have to purchase VIP to watch older episodes) and only unlocked it for the last few days of the airing period. (Some fans argue it's because TTEOTM is a "copyright" drama. This means Youku only has the airing rights and may even have to pay Otter a bonus for high playback volume)

That's why it's a pretty exciting/shocking that TTEOTM is now just behind Ashes of Love, which aired during the summer on all 3 platforms and 2 TV channels back in the heyday of 2018. (Basically we just love watching LYX being bullied and spitting blood)

(Before 2018, there's also Eternal Love and Journey of the Flower which are definitely bigger hits, but I don't have the data and the industry landscape is too different back then for fair comparison.)

TTEOTM seems to have attracted a group of "data fans" who enjoy watching expectations blown apart. (Some don't even rate the story or the actors. They just like the idea of data prevailing over fan wars.) It's especially fun when the drama is strong in every dimension possible. Here's a compilation (and a bit of explanation) of the drama's achievements:

1. Viewership

This is the most important & direct measurement of a drama's success in general.

Opening - good indicator of how much drawing power the stars have, but not how well the drama does overall (big debuts often flop while dark horses emerge)

>5.4M reservations ahead of the premiere, highest of any drama in Youku history

Reaches Youku's maximum heat index of 10,000 in 29 hours, fastest in Youku history

23.74M views on its premiere day, highest of any drama in 2 years (Yunhe) - In fact, it's nearly double the views of other dramas led by bigger stars

22.76% market share on its premier day, highest of any costume drama in 3 years (Dengta)

Because the airing period ends X days after the last episode airs, it's also an early indicator of whether the drama will have a long tail (which is key to becoming a classic)

2. Platform new user acquisition

Arguably what matters most, at least to online streaming platforms, whose income mainly derives from members. Youku is the underdog, so I'm sure customer acquisition is their #1 KPI and why they've invested so much in promoting TTEOTM

3. Advertisement

A major income for platforms. Brands can place ads on specific shows (should be cheaper if you bet right) or pay for random, dynamic placement (you can tell based on whether the drama's title is on the ad itself). The earlier the brand buys in, the cheaper the rates, which I believe is a fixed amount based on production class. Often big IP, big stars, modern dramas get the most upfront, especially if the star brings in their own "brand daddies" (sorry, that sounds naughty).

Some shows start out with nothing, but as more and more people watch, advertisers place more ads in subsequent episodes. The opposite also happens. That's why it's also an indicator of how well the show is performing according to the industry. Advertisers have access to proprietary data and are putting a lot of money on the line.

TTEOTM has 27.6 seconds of ads per episode, 2nd highest of any costume drama in 2023

This includes 26 brands, highest of any xianxia drama in 3 years

It is only one of 12 dramas this year so far with ads in every single episode

Big brands like Huaiwei and Master Kong placed ads as the show progressed, with ad time peaking in episodes 26-30. This is a big stamp of approval from advertisers.

After the drama finished airing, a brand "chased" the hype by placing more ads, which is quite rare

4. Merchandise Value

Beyond being supplementary income (more here), this is also an indicator of fan engagement. Expect this to become bigger going forward as platforms perfect the process of commercializing IP and fusing e-commerce with entertainment.

TTEOTM has broken the merchandise sales record for TV shows, selling >25M RMB to date (this number does not include Shi Shan Yu costumes and other co-branded products like the ice cream, video game, and photography studio)

>10M RMB came from the bracelets alone, with 3M RMB worth of Ancient Demon God bracelets sold within 24 hours (it's likely a new record but no one has kept track before)

Tantai Jin and Ye Xiwu's costumes were auctioned off for charity for 170K RMB and 100K RMB respectively

In addition to commercial value, another major dimension of success is buzz/heat -- whether fans are talking about a show, whether the general population knows about the show. This gets into subjective territory, but there are three broad types of data sources:

This is where fans congregate, so more a measurement of how much fan engagement and discussion there is, or fan intensity in general.

Douyin (biggest platform by daily active users right now, and the new battleground for marketing)

More importantly, TTEOTM inspired a lot of user-generated/led trends & memes on the platform (e.g. the Black Moonlight dance, Bengbu tourism) which engage viewers in a deeper way than just watching clips from the show.

Baizhi (Baidu search, equivalent to Google): Heat index of 790K, highest of any xianxia in the last few years. TTEOTM is also #5 drama in 2022-23 combined, behind Knockout (1894K), Sword Snow Stride (936K) (both aired on CCTV), Dream of Splendor (913K), and Reset (892K)

Weixin Index (WeChat, equivalent to Facebook & Whatsapp): Peak heat index of 166M, #1 drama in 2023 (even in front of Knockout) and highest of any xianxia or costume idol drama in the last few years. (Note Weixin is owned by Tencent)

Baike Page Visits (Wikipedia): A bit random, but if you take it at face value, it's just how many people have heard about the show and looked it up. A good indicator for general awareness. Note that this is cumulative so we cannot fairly compare across years. TTEOTM is #1 costume drama (likely #2 overall) 2023 and even ahead of some of the dramas from previous years

8. Tourism GDP

Finally, people are starting to look at tourism GDP as TTEOTM unintentionally generated a lot of interest in Bengbu (literally "clam town"), which has sculptures related to Mingye and Sangjiu. According to the local government, Bengbu gained an incremental 1.5B RMB in tourism GDP during the May 1 holidays thanks to interest from TTEOTM fans. (I feel like this might be a post for another day)

Little Women - The Ending

What a wild ride this drama was! When you watch too many KDramas there is a constant cynic in you wondering if the drama with a solid start will derail after it hits the mid way mark - or will the finale be a disappointment. Every episode of Little Women upped the level of mystery, thrill, sinister plots, character twists and you kept wondering if the writer and director would be able to tie all the loose ends or will it make no sense at all and leave us infuriated.

The plot twists were largely unexpected, to maintain such consistency over 12 episodes is near impossible, getting 1-2 plot twists right amongst 20 odd is a big win for the writer. It means she had us glued, she had us guessing, she had us theorising and she kept blowing our mind and surprising us. Jung Seo Kyung deserves a standing ovation.

Before I jump into the main characters and their ending - just wanted to put it out there that every single actor/actress in this drama - whether the role was big or small, brought their A game to this drama. This is what great direction and writing can do!

However it left me baffled that people are actually lamenting and disappointed that InJoo and DoIl didn’t get their ‘happy ending’ - are you effing kidding me? Did we even watch the same drama? The romance is a side plot - it didn’t even exist or even if it had , it would have no bearing on the story. Please stop obsessing over this non existent plot point. DoIl was a side plot. Let it be that - don’t make the drama about him.

I will re-emphasise this - a drama made by women for women. The story was about the 3 sisters who loved each other immensely and would go to any lengths to protect each other, the story was about the heiress who went rogue after being denied her right by patriarchy, the story was about a friendship between two young girls wanting to free themselves of their family burdens, the story was about a woman’s revenge to avenge her mom’s death. The story was about these women fighting their battles - winning some and losing some and the men were a side plot, they were mere pawns and let them be at that. Don’t make a woman’s life about the men in her life.

The ending was poetic in many ways - Won Sang A bringing about her own destruction. Her guilt over her mom’s death, her anger at being discriminated channeled in the wrong way. Uhm Ji Won was brilliant, simply brilliant in shifting those expressions and her cold calculated behaviour sent chills down my spine.

In Kyung was the smart, principled one, but was equally reckless and impulsive; however she realised in quick time the importance of holding back the important cards to play at the right time. I’m also glad she realised that brain producing alpha waves is the right choice over her heart racing. Nam Ji Hyun was stellar and I haven’t seen her look this gorgeous in any drama of hers. She slayed the pants look in this one.

InHye - everyone hated on her and her selfishness but she turned out to be equally selfless - never ever forgetting her sisters’ love and sacrifices. Once she found her path, she made sure her sisters were in a comfortable place just like she was. She was a great friend to HyoRin and helped her escape a life that would have been pure hell, and who knows might have tipped her to the dark side. How valuable is their friendship to each other.

InJoo being in the apartment alone - this scene was the most poignant one in the finale for me. How often do we define our happiness by the people in our lives? How often do we forget to place ourselves ahead of others? The grand-aunt did deliver some wisdom nuggets to InJoo. InJoo who loved her sisters and her life was only about them, was now by herself; still loved by her sisters, but free of the responsibility to take care of them, free to live her life. She wasn’t lonely, she was just relieved. Despite all she was put through, her innocence and naivety were not damaged. As @kdramaplaybook on twitter said she grew but she stayed the same.

The consistency in the characters throughout the drama was impressive. DoIl loved his money and he probably liked InJoo too l, but if he had left it all for her - it would be so cliched and inconsistent and hence I liked where it ended. Maybe they will meet, maybe they won’t , there are other fish in the sea. InJoo needs to finally live her life, happiness is not always being with your loved ones, sometimes it also lies in letting them go to pursue their happiness and putting your own happiness first. InJoo can do whatever she wants to be happy - even if that means spending all her money on buying truckloads of lipglosses and icecream.

I may need to write another long post in praise of Kim Go Eun’s performance as InJoo in this drama - she nailed every expression, but most of all I loved her expressions when they changed in split second from ‘There I got you’ to ‘holy shit did I mess up again’. I love Nam Ji Hyun, but Kim Go Eun had the meatier role and she did full justice. Having watched quite a few dramas of hers, this is by far her best one.

The background score and the cinematography were two equally powerful characters in this drama and I can write pages on every shot , frame and scene where they took the story ahead or warned us of the upcoming twist or shocked us to the core. They elevated every frame of this drama. As my friend @KdramasSlump on twitter said - this drama was pure art.

The drama praises would be incomplete without praising the director Kim Hee Won ( also directed Vincenzo) and writer Jung Seo Kyung of this drama. Sure men write good thrilling plots, but women write thrilling plots with equal emphasis on emotions , life’s lessons and well etched characters. Kingdom was a case in point and now it is Little Women.

This drama has so much to be spoken and written about - the social commentary in it, life’s hard hitting truths in so many dialogues, it could well be another long post. It will be a long , long time before I get over this drama and multiple rewatches will happen to discover more hidden meanings behind every dialogue and scene. When a drama sucks you in and engulfs your mind like this - you know the team has delivered a masterpiece, what’s more wonderful is that an all women team delivered it and I will forever be rooting for more of this to happen!

If this drama doesn’t get all the awards - I’m staging a revolt!

When it comes to romantic relationships, jealousy is to be expected, though there's such a thing as taking it too far.

The Tale Of The Bloodline | TWICE MiSaMo (Mina, Sana & Momo) x Male Reader- CHAPTER 4: “The Bloodline’s Expectations”

Previously on Chapter 3: “The Honorary Muse”... "Guys, I feel like I'm putting a lot around in here and I just... not sure at all if I'm getting back the same level of respect that I deserve. We don't need to keep doing this, okay?" Sana started talking at at the twins with a hint of cluelessness in her tone of voice. "You all can just tell me the truth in here. What do you guys exactly think of me? I mean, what am I to you? Here's what I'm thinking, what if... I don't know... What if I join the Bloodline?" YN coughed up at that statement, Mina just looked at her. Sana noticed what that reaction meant. "No, it's fine. I know you guys are blood. I didn't mean it like that. It's like... what if I... what if I just become, I don't know? Honorary member?" Mina looked at Sana then you calmly. "Honorary member? Or should I say hmm... honorary muse of ours? Yeah, sure." she shrugged. YN just turned at her with a scrunched up face, in complete disbelief at his sister's decision to just add Sana like that plain and simple to their faction. Sana raised her fists in joy, hissing in the utmost adrenaline of pleasure cursing in her soul at that wonderful answer. "You... you guys are smart. That is a right choice. Whatever you guys need, anything. I'll be here. And if I need anything, well you know..."" Yeah, you don't have to say it now muse. We got you." Mina nodded with a small smile. YN just scoffed and entered the locker room again. "Catch you up later." "Yeah, you too Mina." Sana waved her hands goodbye at Mina who followed YN after. Sana tried to call YN too but she was only left ignored. She won't mind it that much for now. What matters for Sana the most is that tonight, she has now finally gained the respect and credibility that she's seeking to have by earning the trust of The Myouis, leaping onto one step away from the Empire Chief's own next.

1 WEEK LATER | June 3, 2023

Amid The Myoui's segment prior, Kim Chaewon of LE SSERAFIM appeared to interrupt in which she issues a challenge using a rematch clause to attempt revenge and successfully win the titles this time. YN and Mina only laughed at Chaewon as they reminded her that her partner Sakura is currently out of action and as of now at the hospital for her back injury recovery. The realization that Chaewon wants a fight without her own partner has what made them feel silly about it.

Not until in everyone's surprise and joyfulness, Chaewon made the twins take back their words when she introduces her replacement and temporary partner for this evening. It was none other than Jang Wonyoung who agreed for her request and joins Chaewon on her side to announce that the general manager Bang Sihyuk already booked the match to happen in the main event for tonight. At the moment, Kim Chaewon and Jang Wonyoung is now battling the defending champions Myoui Mina and YN inside the ring. YN is gradually standing up to his feet near the steel steps after being tossed exterior while Wonyoung is now setting up an assault to the recuperating adversary.

Wonyoung rampages but YN ducks underneath, resulting Wonyoung's attempted knee strike to collide within the strong surface of the steel steps instead. It made the Queen Of Strong Style groan in the pain as she clutches her aching knee. "Jang Wonyoung knee first onto the steps and now a double team by The Myouis." the commentator Knight Yoo states as Mina arrives on to the same ringside spot where her twin brother and Wonyoung are.

Mina bolted Wonyoung's head around her arm and stood her up. As she did, YN kicked the back of the affected knee once more to create Wonyoung scream in torment. The referee started checking on Wonyoung who is now clearly harmed. Mina tried to approach Wonyoung once more but after the completion of the monitoring, the official signals for "injury" and tells Mina to back off repeatedly.

The medical personnel abruptly ran through the scene and joins the referee on helping Wonyoung. Whereas it was happening, YN and Mina grabbed the attention of everybody watching by urging them to acknowledge their bloodline through raising their fingers up to the air; creating a divided response from the crowd. Wonyoung is now being guided by the rescue team on her cautious limping walks. The recently recouped Chaewon was in shock and dismay seeing Wonyoung who has now reach the ramp back into the stage, realizing that her partner is injured. "Wonyoung..." Chaewon mumbled as she gets close onto her partner and friend.

"I'm sorry." That was all Wonyoung had to say before she continues to be escorted out with the personnel while still wincing in pain. Chaewon just nodded understandably and returns her sight at the twins who are now occupying the ring together. YN and Mina began mocking the alone and helpless Chaewon. Mina pointed threatingly at her but that didn't appear to bother Chaewon as she just nodded and gritted her teeth; tunneling up the rage inside of her. "Y'all think I'm done?! I ain't giving up!" Chaewon yelled at them, propelled by retaliation not only what The Myouis did to Sakura but also what they did moreover with Wonyoung.

Chaewon starts to march, YN left the ring only to receive a direct elbow hit. She climbs up to the apron, Mina attacks but Chaewon counters; punching her to the side of the head. "And now, Chaewon is taking a fight into the Tag Group Champions as she is now fed up with The Myouis' anarchy." commentator Lee Kwang-soo says as they all watched Chaewon enter the ring and blew countless strikes all over Mina's body. She pushes Mina to the ropes and charges at her with a clothesline, making her join YN to the outside. "Come in here! Let's end this!" Chaewon shouted at the twins gazing at her unbelievably, knowing that they are getting dominated single-handedly at the same time by the same enemy.

YN and Mina won't let the disrespect and humiliation grew, they stood up and prepares theirselves as they traded signal to one another before simulteanously entering the ring again, both attacking Chaewon together who is also trying to do offense here. A kick to the midsection downs Chaewon on her knees, taken after by steps to her collapsed body. Mina pulls her hair upwards and strengths her to stand back up. YN and Mina extends her arm as it were to catapult her to the turnbuckle in which Chaewon's back collided brutally there. Mina passes the work to YN as she goes to the ringside. Whereas Chaewon is persevering her pain, he prodded the poor fighter by taunting the same fighting pose that her partner Sakura always do to her matches. After doing so, he did their own "We The Ones" motion by lifting his finger up again to the sky; showing to everyone who is running this match and possibly the ones who will end up taking the win.

Only be blindsided by Chaewon with a running knee straight to his confront. "Sakura meant something to Chaewon's career and Oh! A running knee by the upset Chaewon." Knight exclaimed. Mina who saw that attack had her frightened and worried for her twin brother. The crawling, desperate YN goes for Mina and tags her in. Mina climbs up to the rope in a plan to execute their finisher frog splash.. However, in her astonishment; Chaewon rises up fast and approaches Mina as she climbs to the top too where she began dropping punches and elbows to Mina's side profile. She positioned her arms to lock Mina's head for a super Antifragile from the top rope until she got diverted when the undisputed World Champion and leader of The Bloodline Yuta Nakamoto's entrance theme suddenly played. All the crowd viewed the stage to wait for the emergence of the Empire Chief.

"Oh my God, super Antifragile by Chaewon to Mina!" Knight said as Chaewon immediately returns her focus back into the match and achievingly damaged Mina.

"...but she's not the legal competitor!"

They both crashed into the ring, Chaewon groaned at her impact of her back's landing to the ring; not even noticing YN who is now on the top rope and delivers a splash to Chaewon.

"YN made a tag, unbeknowst to Chaewon! A splash! Cover to Chaewon!"

The referee began to count as YN pins Chaewon. "1...2...3!"

"The Myouis retains the title!" Knight claimed as the bell rang to the official finish of the match. Most of the crowd were rankled and saddened at the failed opportunity by Chaewon because of the usual dirty strategy again by The Myouis. Clueless to everyone who is watching and attended the show live except for the rest who stayed in their homes, the camera switches to the audio and technical room where Minatozaki Sana became surprised not because of The Myouis' triumph, but to what she actually did. "Oh my God... i-it worked! IT WORKED HAHAHAHAHA!" Sana cheerfully celebrates as she giggles while jumping and tugging the staff who is in charge of controlling the sounds of the show, sitting on his chair looking at Sana strangely

Sana rushes out of the backstage and greets The Myouis holding their title as they are heading out of the arena. "YOU GUYS DID IT! MY TRICK WORKED! I'M SO PROUD OF YOU TWO!" She hugged YN tightly who was stunned at the Honorary Muse's actions. As she lets go from him to continue teasing the defeated Chaewon from the separate, YN glances at Sana as he felt confusingly fluttered from the contact. Sana joined The Myouis from behind as they depart, only to become unaware at the infuriated Chaewon's attack as she ran straight through the trio, pushing them and switching to Sana who she started repeatedly hitting her head.

YN saw what Chaewon is doing and in an instant, he moved and took attention as both were now attacking each other. The referee came out to seperate both sides and break the brawl.

"Chaewon is ticked off and you can't blame her for that. The emotions are just pouring out of her body right now." Knight Yoo comments on what Chaewon has been going through these days.

This rivalry has been personal and important for her and she would definitely not letting it go that easily.

1 MONTH AND 2 DAYS LATER | August 5, 2023

Sana's service with The Bloodline briefly halted for a month as they both focused on their respective tasks to do. Yuta was introduced to his next challenger after Chaewon targeted him next, challenging him for a World Championship match. The two fought and eventually, Nakamoto remained undefeated for the title as he beats Chaewon clean. As he urges the swarm to acknowledge his continous greatness along with his cousins YN and Mina, the entrance theme of one of his long-time rivals and previous challenger last March at the company's biggest pay-per-view event Battleground of Madness which their final feud together led to their match in August's scheduled event SuperSlam with the stipulation being a Last Man Standing match. Yuta retains the title which finally concluded their feud for good.

Meanwhile, Sana was added to the line-up of participants that will fight in an 8-person ladder match to determine the winner who will have a year-length opportunity to freely use his/her advantage on adding himself/herself to a match with one of the 3 individual titles in the company at stake. Unfortunately, she was one of the fighters who lost in the match.

After the August's annual SuperSlam PPV ended, they were now able cross roads together and get back on track. Sana didn't wasted any more time as she reaches the front of The Bloodline's locker room. Cautiously knocked, she was greeted by the serious-faced YN staring at her in the face which made Sana flinched. He was followed by Mina who greeted the Honorary Muse in contrast to YN's.

"Hi, sorry. I have a terrible reception in the building. I didn't know if you guys received my message or not. I forgot to bring my phone-"

"No. It's fine, muse. In fact, I was about to text you back." Mina assured Sana.

"Oh perfect timing." Sana exhaled, shoulder fell in relief. Mina smiled while YN rubbed his face ridiculously.

"Hey, we need a favor."

"Sure, what is it?"

"Usually, when the wiseman is here. He is the one who handles things. He's in the production truck, making sure the music's good, the graphic's good, the power's good, just to make Yuta's entrance perfect." Mina enumerates while pouncing her fist on her other open palm.

"Okay." “But you know what he went through, right?” Mina said, referring to Jinyoung’s fate last week at the hands of Yuta’s opponent when he got smashed into the announce table after he tried to interfere and be the root of Yuta’s challenger’s doom which ended up backfired, costing his ribs to become severly bruised. “Oh yeah, right. Wait, how is he?” Sana asked considerately. “He’s resting. We got someone in the hospital to watch over him.” Mina updated, effectively making Sana diminished. "Well, back from what I said... can you do that for us tonight?"

Sana snorted. "Are you serious?"

"Yeah" Mina nodded, stating that she's honestly sincere with her request. YN on the other hand was staring deeply at Sana.

"B-but... that's not really my job?" Sana complained. YN's forehead crumpled and straightened his stance. Mina just chuckled at Sana's confusion.

"I mean I'm the Honorary Muse but..."

"Sana, hey." Mina patted Sana in the shoulder. "It will meant a lot to Yuta." She smiled.

Sana looked at Mina and gone silent for a moment before she sighed and shortly smiled at Mina. "Alright, okay. I will."

They both nodded at each other trustedly before Sana leaves, with The Myouis watching her walk away but still having complete opposite emotions visible in their face as Mina remained calm while YN is annoyed.

Few minutes later, Sana returns to the The Bloodline locker room as she knocked again and gets received by The Myouis a bit faster than earlier.

"Hey, okay. It's all taken care of. I went to the production truck. Graphics are set, pyros are great. I even almost had a fight with someone. It's the whole thing but this isn't important so... hey listen. I have to talk to Yuta now before he goes out there." Sana persuaded while she does hand gestures to emphasize her eagerness and rush.

However, Mina gave her an apologetic look. "Look, muse. That ain't gonna happen."

"Oh come on, are you kidding me?!" Sana began supressing her stress. "You guys just given me the runaround tonight. Am I really a part of this group?!"

"I just-" Mina tried to calm down Sana but the frustration building up inside Sana is what making her to be uncontrollable.

"Guys, am I not the Honorary Muse?"

Suddenly, Mina and Sana both were taken aback when YN triggeredly turns his head around to look at Sana angrily.

"YOU WANT THE TRUTH, SANA?! THE BLOODLINE LEVELED UP AT SUPERSLAM! IT BROUGHT ME 2 TITLES, MYOUIS HAVE 4 TITLES AND IF YOU DON'T START PULLING YOUR WEIGHT AROUND HERE, MUSE. YOU GOT TO LEAVE THE GROUP REAL SOON!"

Sana was left speechless and intimidated by YN's aggressiveness and rant. He immediately left, followed by Mina who only clicked her tongue and tightlipped for the guilty woman.

1 WEEK LATER | August 12, 2023

After what happened last week, Sana tried to ease things off with The Myouis especially YN himself who became clearly mad at her antics for being too resistant at their orders.

She walks up to their locker room and hesitated for second to knock as she prepared herself one more before she actually did it. The door opened and just like last week, YN and Mina answered the call.

"Guys, guys. Hey, I've gone through a lot of thinking and... everything you guys said about last week, you were right."

Mina cupped her chin as she listened attentively while YN bowed his head and avoid Sana's look in guilt after remembering what he said last week, knowing that Sana is definitely pertruding mostly for him.

"You guys are right about-"

Sana got interrupted on her statement as the agitated Kim Jennie made a surprise appearance in the scene, tackling both Mina and YN aside.

Jennie grabbed Mina's collar and threw her to the wall. She then held YN's head and repeatedly dribbled it onto one of the extra tables around the hallway as Sana kept shouting for help and for Jennie to stop.

It was no effect for Jennie as she continued attacking YN, repeatedly punching and slapping him all around his face and head before she ended it with a push to the wall as what she did to Mina.

Sana ran away and watched the mess worriedly and terrified at the same time. Jennie crouches between the assualted bodies of YN and Mina on the floor.

"Every single week you two gets involved, I'M GOING TO BEAT YOUR ASSES YOU HEAR ME?!" Jennie grunted as she referred to what happened to her last week when she was confronting Yuta Nakamoto and The Myouis until a surprise attack unleashed to her by a returning fighter in the company who possesses dark persona named Bae Irene. She decided to include Irene on her next victims alongside The Bloodline.

"Oh, Sana... where are you~" Jennie abandons the suffering Myouis and proceeded to walk away while in hunt for Sana who already disappeared.

About 20 minutes has passed and Sana is still roaming the backstage while unobnoxiously monitoring the sight around in case Jennie is around and possibly caught her.

Walking around back and forth while still thinking concernly about the twins, it turned into a coincidence when right on the time The Myouis approached her with their titles.

"Thank God." Sana was about to check up on them but then Mina cuts her off looking sarcastically unimpressed.

"Damn, you're such a trackstar aren't you?" Mina scoffed.

"You slipped again." YN said as his lips twitched.

"Where did you run off to?" Mina asked her quizzically.

"No! I wasn't going anywhere, I wasn't trying to call the security-"

"Security?"

"I wasn trying to get him kicked out of the building-" As Sana proceeds to defend herself by all of her reasonings, YN impatiently crosstalked into them to interrogate Sana further.

"Enough with the excuses, Sana!" YN irritatedly remarked.

"Wait, hear me out-"

"I told you last week that if you don't step up, YOU'LL BE LEFT BEHIND!" YN barked. Sana went quiet as she takes another scolding from one half of the Tag Champs.

"MINA! Let's go call Jennie into the ring." YN commanded his twin before leaving, entirely done on arguing with Sana as she has a much important business to do tonight.

The Myouis were granted to strike back on Kim Jennie as they were placed by general manager Bang Sihyuk into a non-title tag team match to end the show's episode.

The assigned partner for Jennie got hooked by YN onto the barricade which led both crashing into the timekeepers area while Jennie and Mina were left in the ring.

Mina saw what happened to her sibling. She returns her attention back on Jennie who is slowly getting up on her feet, about to carry her in a shoulder drop but Jennie counters, rotating Mina around and deliver a headbutt to her forehead.

Mina stumbles to the ropes in dizzyness but quickly recovers as she aimed at Jennie face for a superkick. Jennie stepped backwards until she caught of the rope, using it to catapult herself to Mina who was about to charge on her. She bows down to avoid her hit and ran to another rope as she finally hit a deadly rocket kick to Mina.

The hyped crowd chants along to the referee's count as the unconscious Mina was pinned by Jennie to the victory. The announcer declared the win for Jennie and her partner.

Sana who was watching in the ringside to support the Myouis, disappointingly watched Jennie celebrate with the fans. As they eyes met, Jennie smirked and stared intently at Sana who seems to already understand what that look means.

She steps back and tries to calm down Jennie but was distracted by the sudden spin of her body from behind by YN who instead got caught by Jennie's fast instinct, hitting him with a underhook DDT.

While YN painfully clutches his head, Jennie performed a kip-up and went to the corner of the ring; feeding up the energy of the crowd cheering for her. She began counting down as they joined her.

"3...2...1...!"

She fires another rocket kick, but Jennie realizes that the person was not YN who got knocked down in the ring.

"Minatozaki Sana has took a bullet for the Bloodline! She pushed YN out of the way only for a rocket kick to be taken by the Honorary Muse herself!"

The Myouis exhaustedly reconciled with their titles on their shoulder as they viewed Jennie eyeing them down along with her partner in the ring.

"Tell your boss that Kim Jennie is coming for her. That's just the beginning." Jennie mutters and grinned at the sight of the badly beaten tag champs as the show comes to an end.

1 WEEK LATER | August 19, 2022

"You said you wanted to see me, Empire Chief."

The camera pans on Yuta Nakamoto who is peacefully sitting on his couch after he saw Sana open the door and greets him with addition of acknowledging him as usual.

"Yeah, take a seat." He touched the empty space beside him.

"Okay, alright. Thanks." Sana sat with him.

"How's everything going?" Yuta asked as he glanced at her.

"Good. The Bloodline has been very good as of late but well... it's not actually entirely true." Sana clenched her teeth, afraid that Yuta might not like her words of choosing but the latter was just listening at her deeply.

"If i'm being honest, it's complicated."

"How do you say so?" Yuta inquired.

"Well, these past few weeks I've been getting it with YN a lot." Sana explained, her face is showing clear confusion.

"YN?"

"Yeah. He's like... he's on me, Yuta." Sana pointed at herself. The Empire Chief is in deep thoughts as he kept listening while not paying a look on the troubled lady.

"A couple of weeks ago, he was really going to tell me. He always yells at me with these 'you have to keep up' thing blah blah blah. He's acting like as if I'm not carrying my weight around here which is pretty annoying when in fact, he was about to get rocket kicked by Jennie but I slid in and I pushed him away. I took a rocket kick in the face for him, for the Bloodline!" Her tone gets more intense and aggressive the longer she speaks.

"Did he ever gave me a call, a text? No. And I hate it. He's so ungrateful." Sana rolled her eyes while slapping her thighs in annoyance. She became tensed when she noticed that Yuta glanced and stared at her.

Yuta furrowed his eyebrows and pursed his lips. Sana gulped and rubbed her lips in anticipation for his response.

"You know what..."

Sana stared at him.

"You're right." His expression lightened.

"Yeah?"

He nodded. "I've been saying that a lot to him too, he doesn't appreciate."

"He doesn't appreciate anything!" Sana agreed. "Thank you!"

"He's my blood, okay. I love him." Yuta chuckled at Sana's relieved laugh. "Why are you talking to him then, by the way? You should talk to Mina instead. Not at me, okay?"

"O-okay, but I just wanted to tell this at you too."

"Uhh wait for a while here, Sana okay? Stay there." Yuta said as he excused himself for a while.

"Sure, take your time Yuta. I will be right here." Sana replied as she carressed the texture of the couch relaxingly while Yuta stood up and went to to the restroom first.

While she's waiting for Yuta to finish his break, Sana sensed an incoming phone call from Yuta's phone placed along with his World Title on a circular glass table.

She took a peek and saw YN's profile. "Uhh Yuta, your phone is ringing."

"Mine?"

"Yeah." Sana said as she grabbed the phone.

"Who is it?"

"YN." She gritted her teeth in nervousness.

"Answer it for me, please." Yuta echoed his request.

"Uhh okay." Sana huffed in the air before swiping the screen at the green button to accept the call. Putting the phone in her ear, she greeted YN only to receive a typical grumpy welcome from him.

"Yes, just don't scream okay? I will tell him." Sana said as she slightly distances Yuta phone away from her ear. "If i'm being honest, now is not the good time."

She nodded after YN's response to what she told him. "I'll take care of it. Yeah, bye."

Just in time as she ended the call, Yuta exits from the restroom. "He is screaming I can't even understand what he's saying." Sana hilariously reacted.

"Sorry."

"No, it's fine." Sana sweeps it off, assuring him.

"What did he say?"

"He was like, we're trouble at the border which I think they're implying that they're not gonna be here tonight."

Yuta sighed and lowered his head disapprovingly.

"But you know what? I'm here." Sana spreaded her arms, lending her invitation of willingness to be on duty to serve and protect the Empire Chief and The Bloodline like she has to do as always.

Yuta tilted his head at Sana then grinned. "Yeah... you are."

The Honorary Muse was delighted at his approval, recognizing her presence of assistance on their side.

"Well actually, I'm scheduled for a fatal five way contenders match for the Intercontinental Championship." Sana braggingly reported to Yuta as she remembered her main goal for tonight.

"Really?"

"Yup."

"But that won't be a problem, in case if you need me. I'll be there still." Sana assures.

Yuta impressively nodded and smiled at Sana's eagerness and wiseful deed.

"I see... a title huh." Yuta smirked at the vision formed in his mind. "You know, that would be a great addition for the Bloodline."

Sana gasped and beamed at Yuta's message of encouragement for her to take that title and help them include it in their collection of achievements.

"Right?!"

"I guess you're the one to do it."

"I am the one!" Sana became pumped up and enthusiastic. "Okay, so what am I doing here?"

"Yeah, what are you still doing here?" Yuta joined Sana's flow, humorously asking her back.

"I'm gonna go out now, get warmed up and take care of this." Sana assuringly said, tapping Yuta's arm. "Hey, you know what? We should this do this often. This is great!"

Yuta looked away and reconsidered that idea, squinting his eyes.

"Okay, good talk! I'm heading out, Chief!" Sana bids goodbye as she stood from her seat and went to the door.

"Goodluck, Sana." Yuta wishes luck for Sana's upcoming match before she left The Bloodline locker room with his quest for the goal of winning the IC Title now boosted up thanks to the support and motivation coming from the Empire Chief himself. ------------------ Meanwhile at the same time from The Bloodline’s household, a mysterious person who is in charge of the confined Jinyoung is working out at the gym when she got notified of Mina’s phone call to her. Wiping off her sweat using a towel, she picks it up and placed it on her ear. “What?” “Yuta wants me to tell you something.” “Spill it out. I’m in the middle of my workout here.” She said as she drank a cold water in her tumbler. “Sorry to interrupt then. Well, I’ll be quick. I’m in the middle of the road too with YN.” Mina apologized. “Yuta wants me to inform you that he decided to bring you with us in September 3. He wants you to do him a favor.” “I suppose there’s a return I can get?” “Main roster debut. He already have it cleared.” Mina answered. “You ready for a war?” The woman cracked her neck and smickered. “We’re always taking it all, Mina. Ofcourse, I am... and tell Yuta that it’s settled.” The call ended as the woman faced the punching bag and started doing massive blows again, with the desire for annihilation in the main roster as she finally joins her family’s side clouding her mind.
