Shera Prompt Day 1; Gone Wrong

Catra wished she'd seen it coming.

Ador- No, She-ra, raised the blade above her, grinning psychotically.

Her eyes flicked over to the distant calls of Scorpia.

Whom she wished she had spent more time with.

Entrapta is gone.

She ran while she still could.

Adora cackled aloud once more, before bringing the sword of protection down, plunging it into Catras heart with a sickening crunch.

She hears Glimmers cut scream.

She's so dizzy...oh...so dizzy...

The pain is indescribable.

As if she's been torn to pieces by the claws that tipped her fingers.

As if someone reached down her throat and crushed her heart in their hands.

She had no way out of this one.

Her back arches into the blade uncontrollably as she let's out a blood chilling scream of agony.

Her throat feels stolen. Her abdomen pulls apart, bloody shards of skin, rough and horrible.

Her whole body feels as if its aflame.

Scalding white flames dance across her heart and torn body.

Scorpia let's out an awful yell of a sob.

She-ra sends the sword of protection deeper, still corrupted.

The agony gnaws at her, her life force wavering, shaking, trembling. 

She's dying.

White. Black. Multicoloured.

She lets out a small, pained moan as her eyelids flutter midway.

She-ra's sword is retracted, the killing pierce of the blades tip done.

For a moment, Catras whole body is cold and numb.

And then she's gone.

Glimmer does not understand.

Wasn't she supposed to be glad?

Catra is gone.

She needn't worry no more.

The malignant magicat who had schemed and plotted against her.

Gone. Dead.

It was a numb sort of pain.

Adora had fainted the moment after, out of shock of what she had just done.

She had crushing the disk when she had landed on Catra, spewing blood over the snow.

Scorpia had silently fallen to her knees, unmoving, wholly afraid.

Anyone would be, after bearing witness to such a grotesque event.

Glimmer had felt a nausea unlike anything she had ever felt before.

She could not lose the image of Catras fearful expression, her pleading, her useless, fading gasps of breaths as she weakly clawed at the blade until she had fallen completely and utterly still.

When Entrapta reappeared from the Hordes base camp, she too had been shocked to her core.

Catra.

Gone. Dead.

It was too much to register.

Glimmer was still in shock.

A part of her screamed for her to bawl her eyes out.

Another begged this to be nothing more then some horrible nightmare, and that she would would wake up and everything would be normal.

She would be early to the rebellion meeting and she would talk to Adora and Bow about how they would beat the Horde in the next mission. 

But that wouldn't happen.

Adora woke in her room.

She attempted to recall the memories of the previous evening, but it was all but a red blur.

She went looking for Glimmer, only to find her gone from her room.

She had gone to the dining room, considering the fact that Glimmer may be there.

But she did not expect to find her asleep against Angella, who was still asleep herself.

Adoras smile flickered.

When did Glimmer get along with her mother?

Maybe Bow would be able to tell her what she missed, She considered, and set off to find him.

Strangely enough, she found him sitting silently by the Moor behind Brightmoon Castle.

'Bow? Is everything okay?' She frowned.

'Its nothing, really....Do you remember what happened yesterday?'

'No, it's just a big blur. Why? Did something interesting happen?'

He walked up to her without a word, and showed her his trackerpad.

A group of Horde soldiers were all gathered in the Whispering Woods.

'Are we going to fight them?' Adora asked brightly.

'Absolutely not. One, because I think we all need to recover from yesterday, two, because they're having a funeral.'

'For who? And what happened yesterday?'

'Adora....Yesterday....You murdered Catra. That funeral is hers. Its your old unit, Scorpia, Entrapta and a few others. Scorpia told us the plan for her funeral when we parted ways' 

The whole world came crashing down in that moment.

So it’s kind of a twist on the pageant trope because I want it to be more inclusive and focus on cis nonconforming beauty standards. So the pageant would feature the entire cast and the different ways they express their beauty and confidence.

Double Trouble is a nonbinary icon. They make anything and everything look good 😎👑🧑‍🎤

Bow is a transmasc gender nonconformist. Dude loves his crop tops, and has no problems wearing flower crowns or donning a skirt when the mood strikes him.☀️🌼🏹

Glimmer is a short, chubby queen. She enjoys frills, pastels, and sparkles 💖 She, also, prefers to wear boots with everything and short hair; a sort of Rebel in Pink kind of style. 🦹‍♀️ 💅

Adora’s got a strong athletic style that leans towards gender neutral. However, it’d be fun to explore her softer feminine side with formal wear.👟🎀⚔️

Catra has this Punk Rock meets Femme Fatale vibe that’s super attractive 🎸🗡️ and yet she’d never be caught dead in a dress ☠️. A plaid skirt with ripped leggings underneath is the closest she’s likely to get. 😼

While Scorpia is a gorgeous wall of muscle she has a strong feminine style 👠💋. Additionally, in modern AUs, she is often times depicted with a prosthetic arm or two 🦾

Mermista and Perfuma have a pretty self explanatory aesthetic. However, Mermista’s character is meant to explore a non-western culture, while Perfuma herself could be read as a trans feminine woman. 🔱🥻💐💚

I’d love to explore Frosta. She also comes from a non-western cultural background with an elemental aesthetic but her style isn’t fully fleshed out either. One could lean towards multiple directions. I’d like to play around with her hair maybe add multicolored streaks, possibly an undercut. 🌨️❄️⛄️

Then there’s Sea Hawk who while very masculine in appearance is also very bisexual and body positive with his flamboyant over the top appearance. 🔥🏴‍☠️⚓️

I could see older characters like Angella, Light Hope, Spinnerella and Netossa, even Hordak acting as the judges. 🪽⚛️ 🌪️🌐💃

I’d probably add Entrapta as a stylist since she has no interest in competition. The spacesuits she took the time to design, along with Hordak’s armor, demonstrates how admirable her skills for fashion are. 👩‍💻 🪡🧵

Shadow Weaver could be a scorned and bitter pageant Queen trying to relive her glory days through one of kids (probably Adora). 🤡😒

Casta and Micah could be the cohost. I could see Micha dressing in drag for some his appearances too. 🧔‍♀️🔮🎤

Her Heart Universe - A universe where Adora is an alien on Earth, and is in the care of Mara and Razz. Includes learning values, social struggles, and episodic stories turning into a serialized "we gotta get our shit together or die" story.

Two Suns Universe - A universe where the key sibling relationship is Adora and Kyle, rather than Adora and Catra. Includes loving siblings, redemption arcs, Crimson Waste Kyle, and Kyle x Rogelio x Bow. Lots of Kyle love.

The Wilted Flower Universe - A universe where Adora's 'dead' ( bc Catra ), but her spirit resides, and She-Ra has taken over her form, desperate to keep her wielder alive. Includes a lot of violence, arguing, and blood, as She-Ra is unhinged in this universe and I love it. Not self-cest or a She-Ra x Adora AU, don't be weird.

Pearl Of The Sea Universe - A universe where Adora is a mermaid and Entrapta finds her in her boss' lab. Includes lovers to enemies to ??? ( entrapdak ), found family, and typical corrupted workforce.

Until It Ends Universe - A universe where Adora suffers from amnesia, She-Ra is an unknown entity, and the only thing she remembers is the Sword of Protection and is meant to serve it and its legacy. Includes folklore, forming friendships, ??? to enemies ( catra ), and discovering lost memories. Inspired by BOTW.

Ready To Go Universe - A modern universe where Adora and co use social media to boost their cafe's reputation. Includes Angella being Adora's mother figure, long distance relationships, found family ( again ), and cutting ties.

The Ghost Of Her Universe - A universe where Adora is a ghost, and a friend of hers tries to figure out how she died. And Glimmer and Bow are there too. Includes abusive background, manipulation of the higher-ups ( SW and Catra don't talk about why she died ), and friendly, but sad ghost.

To Be Loved Universe - A universe in the process of being reworked, but is essentially a s5 rewrite ( with some rewritten details of previous seasons ), and Adora is allowed to swear. Incluces Catra being a cunt and getting told to fuck off, rebuilding friendships, and an unexpected pairing.

Can't Sleep Universe - A universe focused around my c*tradora kid, Elizabeth Randor ( Izzy ), who is very bitter and angry with her parents ( mostly Catra ). Includes abuse, divorce arc ( that's a thing, apparently ), and healing.

The Whispering Woods Universe - A universe where Adora is raised by Madame Razz and Light Hope and is a fierce protector of the Whispering Woods, setting up traps and making spells. She-Ra most likely doesn't exist in this AU. Includes learning about the past, Grandma // Grandkid dynamic, and Adora being a nerd.

Desert's Flowers Universe - A universe where Entrapta raises Adora instead after the little one runs away from the Horde. Includes loving mother, family to complicated, strangers to allies to friends to ??? to enemies ( entrapdak again ), and Horde Prime being a douche.

The Lightning's Song Universe - A universe where Adora was locked away in the Prison Dimension for 100 years, and is considered a 'corrupted heroine'. However, Glimmer and Bow decide to unleash her, hoping she'd be their best bet against the Horde. Includes discovering the truth, unhinged rageful Adora ( we stan ), and earning trust.

The Soulmates Universe - A more historian universe where Adora and Bow have to fake-marry for social reasons, and struggle with internalized queerphobia as they fall in love with people that aren't each other. Includes best friends, what love really means, and identity metaphors.

Danganronpa - Adora is the Ultimate Warrior, who may be considered the 'second Mukuro', depending on who you ask. Is best friends with Sakura and Hina ( including others ).

Teen Titans - Adora gets involved in a freak accident and is sent to the TT universe and joins the group. Adora x Starfire is a thing.

Sonic the Hedgehog - Light-hearted fun, mainly just Adora thinking Sonic is really cool and vice-versa.

Mario - Again, simply light-hearted fun, Adora thinks Peach is amazing and has her as an idol.

Voltron - I know. I know. But she'd be best friends with Lance, and that's all the reason I need.

Just as a little reminder (and spoiler) part. 2 Life of Rescue Bots Au

The Burnses siblings' mom IS NOT DEAD, AND IT IS NOT NAMED NORA.

Some irl context: I started to think the Au since August's last year, by that time I wasn't aware of the fandom and the things I did were related to MY headcanons and MY friends thoughts about what I have been telling them, like entire books :v

One of that things was the fact about the Burnses mom, who came up to the series (in my Au) for Family Week (a festivity in Griffin Rock that I created as an excuse to present the living families of the bots and the humans and talk about the ones who had been gone), one of them was Beatrix, Charlie's ex-wife (and actually I wrote that in the headcanons post), and I decided to make it this way because trauma in the Burns family wasn't an option, and because I was bored of the dead mom context, THE TRAVELLER AND SOMETIMES AUSENT MOM IS MORE INTERESTING FOR ME, OK???

But then, like 1 month ago, when the Rescue bots Zine arrieved an THE FREAKCING WRITER OF THE SERIES COLLABORETED AND I READ ABOUT NORA BURNS, jeez, it was cool, but I decided to not to use it for the Au because, not because the writer writted about it is canon (like She-ra and Catra's boy that the director made in a live once), and that's all.

Now, the in the Au context: Beatrix Sydney, before knowed as Beatrix Burns, she's a TV reporter who pass most of her time traveling and going from one place to another. After Cody's 8th Birthday she decided that she wanted to REALLY live her dream, even if her family worth it she never wanted to stay in Griffin Rock all her life (she divorced from Charlie a little later after Cody was born, he was basically the reconcilation but didn't work :v) so she made her packages and some job interviews and in some months she managed to become a really viewed reporter, but always maked calls to her kids and managed to return to Griffin Rock to visit and stay a while, she has a really tense relationship with Kade since the divorce, but both really care about the other. She stills treats Dani as her little girl but is very proud that she become a great pilot. Graham and Cody are still her little cute babies and always be and is a little sad that they are now starting to live their own lives but is also happy they are all following their own dreams and desires just like she did, and Charlie... well... they still love each other, but long distance relationships are hard...

(Ps: she loved the fact that there's actually transformers in the island (she knew since the first day), she loved it so much that had the same problem like with Prescott (her nemesis) but the family was capable to manage it (obviously she could make some interviews))

So adora in pso2 is like a combination of Adora and She-Ra, and of course they're like wives and soulmates in a way so like, wouldnt it be weird if you were technically your wife? idk, but like i made it that way because this Adora is like a reincarnation of canon/headcanon Adora, just a little more shy and she likes cute stuff and dressing up, which adora/headcanon adora like never does! I like utilizing the game's extensive fashion catalog to give adora outfits that I think look good on her. Of course she probably wouldnt wear it in canon, but lets be honest... Canon Adora is too insecure to wear anything but her horde uniform. So this Adora that is in pso2 has a sense of fashion! she's a little shy and insecure but she likes positive interactions and positive feedback on her outfits, it makes her feel nice.

Catra sadly doesn't exist in this AU cuz shes technically long dead... pso2 ngs takes place in the future. A future where Adora died too, she just reincarnated after awhile cuz She-Ra's like "I miss my wife let's actually just fuse together so we're not lonely anymore!!!" and boom Meteorn Adora falls from the sky and is reborn into this super tall and buff blonde chick with a gunblade instead of a sword because why? (its cuz swords were too slow for my style of combat) anyway it bed time so nini

My interpretation of otgw and my theories

●First of all im pretty sure most people know that it is supposed to be like Dante's inferno

Wirt (and Greg) are Dante

Sara is Beatrice

Ironically Beatrice is closest to virgil.

● I at least like to believe that the unknown is real and I have a couple of actual reasons why aside from just wanting it to be real

One we see what happened to the characters from the unknown Beatrice, the woodsman, auntie whispers,ect

Two Jason funderburker glows because of the bell

Three we see endicott's grave (which I will bring up again later).

● the unknown is either purgatory or hell maybe a little bit of both.

● this is less of a theory and more of an au that I thought of that I haven't seen anyone else talk about or think of

Beatrice's family and the corduroy family are related. That's it that's the whole idea.

● I like the theory of everyone in the unknown being dead

Like I said we see endicott's grave in episode 9 (which also makes that whole "so you're not a ghost" thing wrong at least a little)

Also like I said the unknown is either purgatory or hell probably a combination of the two so it would make sense for everyone to be dead

And we literally see living skeletons so yeah

Glimmer teleports off-world to stop Prime from using The Heart AU

It needs a catchier name, I know. But we're posting this for canon divergent.

Short version: Glimmer teleported off-world to stop Prime from using The Heart, is assume dead, and when they find her years later she doesn't remember them... or does she?

Long version

This AU I came up with right after the finale and I am not entirely sure it makes sense (because of how Prime basically hacks into the Heart of Etheria, the planet no longer needs to be balanced so it wouldn't matter if all the princesses were there or not) but just go with it for a minute.

The idea was, things in space happen differently so we never rescue Glimmer and therefore she never sees that her friends forgive her. When they get back to Etheria, Prime is about to set off the Heart of Etheria and destroy everything so Glimmer, as a way to make amends for trying to set it off in the first place and because she thinks her friends can never forgive her, teleports herself as far away as she possibly can, off the planet entirely, so it's no longer balanced. But she uses up all her power doing and is out of the range of the moonstone, so she can't come back.

It works, buying the rebellion enough time for Adora and Catra to do their thing at the heart, but when Glimmer never returns, everyone assumes she's dead. She's hailed as a hero, her sacrifice memorialized.

(It's occurring to me as I write this that this is a lot like my Bow stays at the library AU but with the roles reversed)

Years later, what remains of the best friend squad is doing their mission to restore magic, visiting planets but Bow is obsessed, keeps coming up with more places he wants them to go. Adora and Catra are ready to stop the space travel and start settling down but they know what he's doing even if he denies it: looking for Glimmer. One more mission, they allow, but then he needs to face that she's gone, start being present in the life he does have (he's seeing someone who is looking for him to make a commitment and he's been using the search for Glimmer as an excuse to not deal with the fact that he isn't really in love with him).

They go to the last planet, She-Ra heals it. They usually stick around for a while, mentor anyone who suddenly has unexpected magic powers. People usually come to them but Bow finds an unexpectedly strong magic signal out in the middle of nowhere so he goes to it and gets attacked by someone, getting knocked unconscious. When he wakes, he's inside a small house and the person tending to his injury is Glimmer! Except she shows no sign of remembering him at all and is very clearly with someone, the woman who attacked him.

Eventually Catra and Adora come to find Bow, also meet Glimmer, and want to bring her home with them but she refuses to go, saying she doesn't remember any of them. Except Bow is increasingly suspecting she is only pretending, afraid to go home because she thinks she still isn't forgiven for what happened with the Heart.

Anyway, long story short, they convince her to come home with them for other reasons (her partner needs something from Etheria) and it becomes harder and harder for her to deny that she remembers and that her friends do forgive her (she just doesn't forgive herself). Her and Bow get closer (she's staying at his place) until one night she accidentally says something that blows her cover. It leads into a fight and then an accidental confession of feelings and them hooking up / cheating on their partners (who aren't even canon characters so f 'em for being in the way of my OTP😤).

Glimmer panics and bails but then it turns out her partner was pulling a shady deal (the details of which I cannot remember and I cannot find my notes for 😂) and ends up going back to stop her. Bow breaks up with his partner bc it isn't fair to them when he's in love with Glimmer even though they think they'll never see Glimmer again... but she saved just enough magic that she teleports back in time for Catra and Adora's wedding where her and Bow dance and decide to try to figure out how to pick up where they left off.

(I originally called this the "No Ship AU" because it had something to do with us never getting Darla but I don't remember why that was important so I left it out.)
