Did not cross your mind that writers being unwilling to use Damian in mainline Batman titles isn't a fault of Damian's character or proof that he "ruined the role of Robins" but maybe its just DC bias against Damian? Like not because writers don't treat the other Robins as good as they treat Tim that doesn't mean there are bad Robins.
Maybe ‘ruined’ was the wrong word on my part, I’ll accept that, but I just meant that the Robin role has completely shifted (I’d argue for the worse) and been sidelined in mainline Batman titles since Damian’s introduction - that doesn’t make his character bad (again, love his character), but the Batman & Robin dynamic isn’t the same
I also find the idea that DC has a ‘bias’ against Damian quite funny, because as a character he’s seen a massive editorial push over the last few years, is now the ‘canon’ future Batman, and will probably be adapted to film in a few years - I’d say it’s more that a lot of writers don’t know how to write him

broke: Boromir was corrupted by the ring because he was weak of heart
woke: Boromir was corrupted because his heart was full. full of love for his brother, for Gondor, for Minas Tirith. Does that make his heart weak? Does a heart motivated by passions and the desire to help others make it weak? Is it wrong and evil to be weak? friendly reminder, the way Sauron deceived Boromir was not by promising him wealth, nor power, nor his own safety- he thought he would be strong enough to defend a whole city and defeat Sauron. Boromir had a heart that was neither weak nor strong, but both at the same time- his heart was full.
