Ultron vs. Thanos cracks me up. Like. There's rushed storytelling, and then there's "I don't have time for this shit at all."
This episode wants to be about Ultron becoming a living Infinity Gauntlet but there's simply no reasonable way to get from point A to point B. Trying to pry the Time Gem away from Dr. Strange alone would probably have to be a whole episode unto itself. You think Kamar-Taj didn't pull some kind of magical bullshit once the nukes started flying?
How Ultron would even become aware of the Infinity Gems, yet alone reach them is a long and complicated story to tell on its own.
But ain't nobody got time for that. So Thanos conveniently gathers all of the Gems offscreen, including the one situated here on Earth. He also manages to somehow plunder Asgard and Xandar for Infinity Gems without leaving them any worse for wear. And he does it during Age of Ultron for no adequately explained reason.
Then, once Thanos has finished waging a stealthy Infinity War a few years early, he teleports to Ultron and stands there like a useless poof. Doesn't do anything. Doesn't attack. Doesn't even say anything. Just shows up and lets himself be killed. He seriously only came here to die and deliver the Gems to Ultron.
This is the most nonsensical narrative shortcut in the entire show. It has to happen because otherwise this premise doesn't work. But that very fact alone speaks to how unworkable this premise is. Infinity Ultron is a cool idea in a vacuum, but they really had to strain credibility in order to justify his existence.

Honestly, the thing about Infinity Ultron that gets me is that he demonstrates:
Why, after Tony had already gone behind his teammates' backs once before to create Ultron, it was very foolish for him and Bruce to try again. And they are lucky that Vision turned out benevolent and will go down in history as "Wanda Maximoff's boyfriend" 😍 and NOT "Robot that Nuked the Earth" 🔥🌎.
That the only thing that stopped the universe from being cleansed of sentient life was Wanda interrupting Ultron uploading himself into Vision's body. Which just means, well, go back to my last point about everyone being lucky that Vision is benevolent.
I think it's worth noting that Vision was a critical piece of defeating Ultron. Without him, it would have been impossible to prevent Ultron from simply backing himself up somewhere else and coming back for more.
In the Infinity Ultron episode, Vision didn't turn on Tony and the others. They never got the chance to remake him. Ultron uploaded himself into the Vision body as he originally intended to. In a sense, "Vision" never existed in this timeline.
