Tim and Jason just have to survive the one-month engagement period without getting kidnapped, killed, or outed as fakers to the press. Then survive any assassins gate-crashing the wedding. Piece of cake, right?

Annual Wayne Enterprises Winter Feast

Tonight is the annual Wayne Enterprises Winter Feast. We all know it's for Christmas, but both Bruce Wayne and Tim Drake-Wayne are Jewish, so they don't call it that. The two of them are running the event and Spoiler and Black Bat are patrolling to make sure no one can interrupt the festivities.

Red Hood has been seen once again being dragged around by street kids. One of them has given him a Santa hat and someone has stuck a giant candy cane sticker to the back of his jacket. It's like he's a softie or something.

In case you didn't know, most of the Wayne clan is Jewish.

Bruce and Tim go to synagogue, Dick comes home for the holidays (yes, all of them), and I get called home to light the menorah every Hanukkah.

Barbara, Steph, and Cass aren't Jewish but they do join us in celebration.

Alfred makes the best matzo ball soup, and no, I do not take criticism on that because it is a fact.

I don't know where Duke and Damian stand, but I assume Dami is agnostic at this point? I'll have that conversation with him later.

Anyway, this is just a long winded way of saying happy Passover!

I haven’t found any place where this fits naturally into the break your throne, cut your hair AU, but I was looking up the history and want to share the character thoughts.

I think it would make sense for Janet to have had a bat mitzvah ceremony. It fits her feminist go-getter modern-woman characterization in her few appearances. It also adds to the quiet tragedy of the Drakes spending increasing time away from Gotham and sending their kid to boarding school that her daughter does not have one.

I’m less sure about Martha Wayne, who would be an entire generation older than Janet. I mostly write post-crisis pre-flashpoint era, and I haven’t found much information on the Kanes. We know Martha was involved in charity work and had a strong sense of community service as an adult, but that... doesn’t really tell us whether she would have wanted to do this when she was twelve (or a bit older), or if her parents would have been supportive.

I have no idea about Kate.

anyways i have an extensive headcanon that damian doesn’t prescribe to any particular religion up until he starts doing family history research for a school project and he learns that his paternal grandmother was jewish. so he goes to tim for more info because bruce unintentionally acts like a kicked dog whenever someone brings up his parents, and damian knows that tim is jewish, and that’s when they first actually start bonding
