I don't know who needs to hear this, but:

It is absolutely fine to use a label, only to realise it doesn't suit you anymore. Labels aren't there to bind you to them. They serve as a way to better describe how one feels and what ones lived experience can be like.

I had two pipelines of relabeling myself simultaneously.

From bi to lesbian, and back to bi.

From asexual to demisexual (because I thought, that one day, maybe I feel this kind of attraction, as sex-ambivalent and oscillating were terms I related with, and still do), and back to being asexual.

Does that make me less sapphic or a-spec? Absolutely not.

And to be honest: I still haven't figured out if I'm demiromantic or aromantic. And that is perfectly fine. We don't own anyone an explanation, but ourselves.

If the label felt good at that time, but doesn't anymore, let it go and take the one that feels more fitting. ♡ We are human beings. We are allowed to grow. You are valid, no matter which label you choose.

Ahem, I headcannon her as trans and neptunic (attraction to women, feminine non-binary ppl, neutral non-binary people or attraction to all ppl except men/and or man-aligned/masculine-aligned non-binary people)

Also imma do another design for her pyjamas cus I drew them in my booklets at school- HA, it’s not like I have Octonauts drawings all over my schoolwork- r-right? First Hazbin, now octonauts, next my teachers finding out someday and being incredibly confused as to why I have furries that look vaguely like that one cartoon they barely remember. I mean there’s also Owl House and She-Ra stuff but I can’t draw them AS well/easily, and I would be drawing Scarlamagne but alas he again is too hard to draw, AND Donatello AND now I’m rambling.

But nonetheless I got Octonauts on my Pinterest feed and remembered and looked for every piece of fanart I could find, there’s a lot— it’s not a new obsession, and no I did not spend at least 1 hour reading some headcannon thing for them all… r-right?

Also I have a feeling that sometimes she might get bioluminescence stains cus for the lights she uses bioluminescence and so in the dark she glows sort of :>

I love being a lesbian. I love women. I love the community I have found. I love my girlfriend. I love feeling the grip of cisheteronormativity loosen around me. I love the diversity. I love that I finally understand my sexuality. I love the history. I love the different labels and styles and gender expressions amongst lesbians. I love lesbian media. I love lesbian stories.

Coming out saved my life and has changed me in ways I only dreamed of. It never would have happened if I had not discovered the lesbian community and had lesbian friends to help me understand what I was feeling.

read walt whitman freely, without demonization of my queer soul

feel sorry for queer people born before me and think of the lives they lead and the lives they could've or wanted to lead

think about how many humans grew uncomfortable depressed or didn't even get to grow because of their queer identity
