“Bella-“ you took a deeper breath as you held little Andromeda against your breasts. You were supporting her head with your palm and from time to time you looked down at her.

“Y/n, calm down-“

“Why should I?” You asked back and looked behind Bellatrix, trying to see what she was hiding. She was standing in the doors while you were sitting on the couch in the living room. Andromeda pulled away from your breast and you looked down at her, all of your attention landed on your daughter. “Was that enough baby?” You asked and you hid your breast in your bra.

“Give her to me, I will help her relieve,” Bellatrix reached out her arms and you moved a little to give Andromeda to her. Bellatrix softly took your baby and walked aside a little.

“Now what was that you were hiding from me?” You asked once again, getting no answer. Bellatrix just stood at the spot so you couldn’t see anything and you got pretty mad. “Bella-“

“Y/n… I know it was hard and everything, but let her explain-“

“Let who explain what?” You asked, really nervous this time and your eyes wide opened as you saw something unfamiliar in Bellatrix´s eyes. She seemed... sad? Worried? You couldn´t tell.

Bellatrix tuned to you with her whole body and she was holding Andromeda on her shoulder. She supported her little bum and she started swaying from side to side.

Somebody else stepped inside of the room. Your eyes landed on them immediately and you were sitting in shock.

Her sister. The blonde woman. As you saw her face, tears appeared in your eyes immediately and you froze on the sofa. Narcissa was just standing in the doors and she wasn´t saying anything.

Your sight became blurry soon and as the first time they fell onto your cheeks, you let out a quiet sob. Trying to take a breath, you realized that Bellatrix turned to face you and she looked really worried this time.

“Hi,” Narcissa said that quietly you had troubles with hearing her. She cleared her throat then and looked at Andromeda. “She is so beautiful,” she breathed out and you immediately walked over to Bellatrix, taking your daughter from her.

“She is,” you said back coldly and sat down onto the other end of the sofa. You tried to get away from Narcissa, but since you were both in the same room with your child and her sister, it was difficult.

“Y/n, let me explain you-”

“Explain me what?” You cut her off, throwing a look at her. “That you left me and our child because of the man who was treating you like a maid? Or do you want to explain me why did you choose him? Or did you come back just to tell me that you have definitely decided to leave the country with him?” You asked, raising your voice. Narcissa took a breath to start talking, but you cut her off. “Save it. I don´t want to hear it and Andromeda neither,” you said and turned just a little away from both of the women. Before you could be turned away, you caught Bellatrix´s face expression. She was surprised.

“Her name is Andromeda?” Narcissa asked you back and you didn´t want to talk to her anymore. You just looked down at her little face and closed your eyes.

“Y/n chose it,” Bellatrix let out a little note and you bit on your lower lip.

Few seconds of silence filled the room and you realized Andromeda´s face expression. She was frowning and you immediately placed her on your shoulder.

“Shh, we are not going to cry m´kay? Shh Andy, mommy is here,” you whispered to her as you were drawing little circles on her back and you kissed her softly. Knowing that you will break the promise you just gave your daughter, you shivered as Narcissa took a breath.

“Y/n...” she started and you didn´t even look at her. You just looked at the floor between you and Narcissa, waiting for her to continue, but you didn´t say it out loud.

“Give her to me,” Bellatrix asked again and you gave Andromeda to her. You haven´t been thinking about that you will have this type of conversation, but it was here. You had to face it whatever it meant.

Slowly turning to Narcissa, you just turned to her with your body. You kept your knees together and you placed your forearms onto your thighs.

“So?” You asked quietly, not looking up at Narcissa. “What are we going to talk about?”

“Y/n, on the second of May...” Narcissa paused for a second and then she continued on trying to explain it to you. “I had no choice. I had to go with them, I had to be with my family-”

“And what am I and Andromeda to you?” You asked her back, feeling anger filling your veins. Narcissa looked at you and you could see that she realized what did she just say.

“I had to go with Lucius and Draco. But I left them as soon as I could Y/n. What do you think why did I come here?” She asked you, squeezing her own fingers that hardly the tips turned white.

“I have no idea Narcissa! You left me with Andromeda alone at the end of the war! I had no place to go! And all because of that stupid man who treated you like a trash!” You got angry once again and tears found their way down your cheeks.

“Y/n you´re gonna loose all of your milk-”

“What?” Narcissa asked her sister and then she looked at you. Her eyes wide opened and you had to close your eyes. Leaning against the backrest you let your body hit it and you breathed out. “Y/n?” Narcissa asked back and you breathed out loudly.

“Narcissa I would really like to say that I like to see you, but will you leave me again after I let you in? Because if yes, then you know where are the front doors.” You said, having not enough energy to fight against your feelings. You wanted to let her in, but your mind didn´t want to. As you watched her, you knew that your own protection against Narcissa gave up and the wall you have built up was slowly, brick after a brick, falling onto the floor between you two. “I am going to get some water,” you looked at Bellatrix and weakly smiled at Andromeda.

You walked out of the room and walked straight to the kitchen. Stepping to the kitchen counter, you waved your hand and made a glass fill with water. You needed to get away from the company in the room.

Closing your eyes, you took a sip of the water. It helped. You drank all of it at once and then you put the empty glass down. Closing your eyes, you walked to the doors of the kitchen and stopped there when you hear the sisters talking.

“She has every reason to be mad at you, you know.”

“Bella I had no choice-”

“Then why are you here now?”

“Because I love her. And I love Andromeda too. I can´t leave them again,” Narcissa said, all broken down. A sigh was following and you leant against the doorframe.

“She has already softened against you,” Bellatrix noted simply and bit on your lower lip.

“Yes,” Narcissa said really quietly and then she approached Andromeda, what you could see. She reached out her hands and she looked at Bellatrix. You knew that Bellatrix was aware of that you were standing in the doors. You just nodded to tell Bellatrix she can let Narcissa take the baby and Bellatrix carefully reached out her hands as well.

“Andromeda Narcissa Black,” you whispered and wiped off your tears. Narcissa turned to look at you in pure shock and you just nodded.

She really carefully took little Narcissa into her arms and breathed out loudly from relief. She held her in her arms carefully and you swallowed the knot in your throat. You have made the decision already.

“Welcome home Narcissa,” you said and approached both women called after the same flower. Narcissa looked at you through her teary eyes.

“H-how much did you hear?” She asked you and adjusted Andromeda´s clothes.

“Enough to know that you are honestly sorry,” you said and looked at Bellatrix, who was pretending she wasn´t there anymore.

“So...”

“Welcome home,” you said once again and Narcissa nodded softly. Her chest started shaking and she looked down at her daughter. Andromeda reached her hands out to Narcissa´s face and Narcissa lowered to her. Andromeda wiped the tears off of the pale cheeks and then chuckled.

“I love you so much,” Narcissa whispered and placed a little kiss onto Andromeda´s forehead. “And your mommy too,” she noted and carefully looked up at you.

“I am sure she loves you back, I have to go now because I have some stuff to do,” Bellatrix rolled her eyes and you just smiled at her as she walked past you and out of the room. As she left, you stayed quiet, waiting for some topic to come up.

“I love you too Cissy,” you whispered when you knew that Narcissa wouldn´t say anything else. Narcissa nodded at then looked at Andy, smiling.

“You heard that my princess?” She asked and you almost melted. “Mommy loves me too,” Narcissa said through laugh and then she started gently tickling Andromeda.

You were watching Narcissa and Andy playing, hoping that everything will be fine now. You wiped your cheeks, what brought Narcissa´s attention back to you again.

“I-”

“I know,” you smiled at her and sniffled. “Welcome home Cissy.”

“Thank you,” she said and bit on her lower lip. Narcissa was crying again and you knew that this wasn´t a mistake. You loved the woman with blonde hair and she loved you.

After all... she came back.

Wish U Were Sober

Edward x Bella

Summary: Jessica drags Bella to a college party in Port Angeles and Bella gets a little too drunk and runs into Edward (literally). He drives her home and buys her dinner.

A/N: lightly inspired by the Conan Gray song. Warning for: Alcohol, catcalling (kind of?), and vomiting. Light fluff. This is the first fanfic I’ve ever written please be gentle with me lmao

Word count: 4,129

I pulled up to Jessica’s house at 7:30, the sun just starting to dip below the horizon. I fiddled with the hem of my shirt trying to will myself to leave the truck. Jessica had insisted I go with her and Angela to some college party in Port Angeles. I only said yes because she’d been so insistent, promising me that “it’ll be fun, Bella I swear”.

I knocked on the door and Jessica appeared in front of me, looking me over with mild dissatisfaction on her face. “Hmmmm,” she murmured, “I thought you’d wear something different. It’s, like, totally fine though you can just borrow something from me”. I was being dragged into the house before I could protest.

Angela was sitting cross legged on the floor in Jessica’s bedroom flipping through a folder of CDs. “Hi Bella”, she said, glancing up briefly before returning to the folder. Jessica immediately began rummaging through her closet to find something she deemed acceptable for me to wear. After a few minutes she emerged holding a deep blue satin camisole and a small shrug cardigan. She tossed the clothes to me and demanded I go change.

Once I was alone in the bathroom I felt suddenly insecure. I’d changed into the clothes that Jessica gave me, but looking in the mirror I felt embarrassed. The top had a deep v neck that was meant to show off a chest larger than mine. I felt like I was a little kid again, playing dress up in my moms closet. The camisole was almost backless, and the shrug was practically transparent. I sighed and realized there was no way I could wear a bra with Jessica’s outfit of choice and reached behind my back to unclip mine.

Back in the bedroom both Angela and Jess were applying the finishing touches to their hair and makeup. Jessica was putting on mascara, applying another unnecessary coat that made her lashes look spidery. Capping the mascara, she turned to look at me and still seemed unsatisfied. “Come here”, she said, pursing her lips.

“Don’t you have anything else I can borrow, Jess?” I asked. “I feel so exposed,” I added, a sudden chill running through me.

“You look cute, Bella,” Angela said from her spot by the mirror.

“Angela’s right. You just need a little… pizzazz” Jessica mumbled, her brow creasing. “Let me do your makeup!”

“I dunno, Jess. I don’t usually like wearing that stuff” I replied.

“Come on, Bella, it's a party. I promise I won’t go too heavy.” Jessica pleaded. I had a feeling that it’d be easier to just give in than fight her on this so I just sighed and said “ok fine you win”. I sat down on the edge of the bed while Jessica gathered supplies.

Angela’s phone buzzed with a text message. “The boys are here. I’m gonna go let them in.” Jessica was focused on me now, barely registering what Angela had said. I felt powder being brushed over my eyelids and cheekbones. Jessica was sharpening an eyeliner pencil when Angela reentered the room with Mike and Eric joining her.

The boys greeted Jessica and I and sat on the floor next to the bed. Eric rummaged through his bag and I looked over at Mike, noticing the bottle in his hands. “You owe me 20 for the booze, Jess.” He said.

“ ‘Kay I’ll pay you later”

Jessica returned to working on my face, lining my eyes with the black pencil and smudging it with her fingers. Mike had uncapped the liquor and was passing it to Eric who was toying with an apple in his lap. “Your turn, Bella,” Mike grinned as he offered me the bottle. I hesitated for a moment, remembering Charlie’s warnings about the dangers of underage drinking. But Charlie wasn’t here. I grabbed the liquor and took a swig. It tasted awful, and it burned almost as bad. But the burning was soon replaced by a feeling of warmth spreading across my body. My face flushed and I handed the bottle to Jessica. She accepted and swallowed without hesitation, making a face as the liquor went down. She returned her attention to me and held up a small mirror for me to examine her makeover. My eyes were smokey and my lips were shiny and sticky with gloss, but I had to give credit to Jess because I actually looked cool. “Woah, I look-”

“Hot? I know,” interrupted Jessica. Angela nodded in agreement.

Eric let out a small laugh of satisfaction as he held up his apple, which now had two holes in it. Jessica looked over and rolled her eyes. “If you guys are gonna smoke in here you have to do it out the window; I don’t want the house to smell like skunk.” The guys obliged and opened the bedroom window. Eric glanced over at the rest of us, holding up the apple as an offering to join him. The alcohol had left me feeling more sociable than usual, so I decided to take the offer. Tonight could be a night of firsts. Eric handed me the apple and a lighter and I realized I had no idea how to use them. “Umm I’ve never.. done this before” I admitted shyly.

“Oh that’s okay!” Said Eric, “ just put your thumb here and your mouth here and uh inhale when I light it okay?”

I heard the click of the lighter and breathed in. Smoke filled my lungs and I had to cough badly but I’d heard somewhere that you were supposed to hold it before exhaling. I started to count in my head. I started coughing before I hit 10. My lungs burned and my eyes watered. Eric asked if I was okay and I nodded weakly. “I probably should have warned you”, he said.

Angela interrupted by jingling her car keys. “Are we ready to go yet?” She asked.

The crowded frat house felt spacious compared to being cramped in the backseat of Angela’s compact next to Jessica and Mike. I stayed nearby my friends as we navigated our way to the drink table. I grabbed a can of beer so I could keep my buzz going and to have something to do with my hands. I felt Jessica tug on my free hand and she pulled me through the crowd to the dance floor. “Jess, you know I can’t dance,” I protested.

“Relax, Bella. You don’t have to go crazy just like, sway, to the music or something. Don’t be a buzzkill.” I took another gulp of my beer and tried to take her advice. I bobbed my head and tried to move my body to the rhythm of the song but I couldn’t find a way that felt natural. Jessica took notice of my awkwardness and suggested another drink might help me relax. “Stay put and I’ll be right back okay?” I nodded and tried to give her a smile that implied I was having fun.

As Jessica left I glanced across the room and felt a chill run down my spine and my cheeks flushed. Edward Cullen was leaning against a wall, talking to a girl with short spiky hair. I only knew his name because we sat together in biology, and I was pretty sure he hated me. But I couldn’t help but stare. Even in the dark he was gorgeous. His golden eyes were focused on the girl, but I was still worried he could feel me gawking at him. My eyes trailed downward and focused on his chest. His shirt was tight and I could faintly make out his lean but muscular frame. I was just about to try and look away when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I jumped and turned around to see Jessica balancing red cups and tiny bottles of liquor. “Hey uh earth to Bella” she said, annoyance creeping into her voice.

“Sorry Jess, I got distracted” I replied.

“Obviously. What were you staring at anyway…” her voice trailed off as she diverted her attention to where I’d been staring.

“I can’t blame you for ogling Cullen but he’s not worth your time. He thinks he’s too good for any of the girls in town” Jessica said sharply. Her expression was cold and I silently wondered if she was bitter from a past rejection. “Anyways” she continued, a tense smile on her face. “I got us some shooters and more drinks.” She uncapped one of the small bottles and handed it to me with a plastic cup. “Take the shot on the count of 3 and chase with your other drink.

“1…2…3..”

I knocked back the shot and fought not to gag on the bitter taste. I took a desperate gulp from my cup to try and help but whatever concoction I’d been given was clearly 80% alcohol. Feeling the warmth spread I realized I hadn’t seen the rest of our group since we’d arrived. “Where’d everyone else go?” I asked Jessica in an attempt to steer the conversation away from Edward Cullen before I embarrassed myself any further.

“Angela and Eric went downstairs a little while ago. Mike is busy chatting with some blonde senior girl.” Jessica said through gritted teeth. She was gripping her empty bottle so hard I was worried it would shatter. I tried to think of a distraction but my head was cloudy from the combination of alcohol and marijuana. Luckily Jess decided she was done talking and pulled me closer to the music again, urging me to dance with her. I still felt awkward but I guess Jessica had given up on my sense of rhythm for now. I watched her move to the beat and slowly drift further into the crowd, seemingly forgetting about me as she started to grind on a stranger. I finished my drink and decided to find the makeshift bar toward the back of the house.

I approached the bar and saw several frat boys passing out cups. I reached for a can in the cooler and heard one of them whistle. My cheeks burned as I stood up. “What can I get for you tonight, beautiful?” One of them asked me, his eyes grazing my chest.

“Oh um can I just get another drink? One in a, a, a cup please” I stammered.

“Sure thing, sweet cheeks” he replied, passing me another plastic cup.

“T-thanks.”

“No problem. So what brings you here tonight? I haven’t seen your pretty face around town before.”

The conversation was casual but I could feel his eyes lingering on me. I wished Jessica was still here. She wouldn’t be afraid to tell them off or to storm away. “I’m really sorry, but I have to find my friends. They’ll be mad if I’m gone too long. I just wanted to grab more drinks for us.” I managed to choke out. I quickly turned around and paced away from him. I heard him call after me but I couldn’t make out what he said. I stumbled through the crowd, nursing my beer to try and calm my nerves. I wasn’t sure if I trusted the liquid in the solo cup.

I’d given up on finding Jessica again, let alone the rest of my friends. The house was huge and there were too many people. My head was spinning and I realized how drunk I actually was. My legs felt like spaghetti and I couldn’t think straight. I spotted a couch in the distance and started to walk toward it, but my foot caught on my shoelace and I went flying. I braced myself to hit the floor, but instead of the carpet I felt myself slam into someone’s torso, my drink spilling all over both of us. Cold hands reached for me to help me up and I felt tears of embarrassment start to well in my eyes as I clumsily regained my footing. “Oh my god I am sho sorrrry” I slurred, desperate to make amends with whoever I’d just knocked into. I finally looked up and saw a pair of familiar golden eyes boring into mine.

“Edward?” I choked out. Of course it was him. There were hundreds of people at this party and I must have have the worst luck for him to be the one I tripped into. His shirt probably cost like 200 dollars and I’d spilled beer and who knows what else all over it. He probably hated me even more now.

“Bella? Are you okay?” Edward looked genuinely concerned; As if I might break if he’s not careful.

“I’m fiiinee. Thankss for helping me up” my speech kept slurring despite my best efforts to be coherent. “I’m sorry about the spill”. I embarrassed myself enough when I was sober, let alone cross faded like tonight.

“You’re drunk” how observant of him. It’s not like it wasn’t obvious. “I wouldn’t have expected to see you here tonight.”

“Jessica wouldn’t take no for an answer”. I still had no idea where Jess was anyways. She was probably worried if she’d noticed I was missing.

“That does sound like her.” Edward looked at me from head to toe, as if he was trying to decide what to say next. “You look very…. Different tonight. Blue looks lovely on you.”

I felt my heart flutter and then remembered the outfit I’d borrowed from Jessica. I blushed deeper and crossed my arms over my chest. “Oh uh thanks. Jesica lent it to me.” He’d hardly spoken to me at school, let alone complimented me.

“Didn’t your father ever tell you the dangers of underage drinking? What would Chief Swan think of his daughter getting drunk at a college party in Port Angeles?” His tone was playful and the corners of his mouth pulled into a smirk.

“Charlie is at some police conference in Seattle this weekend. He won’t be back until late Sunday night. What about you? Isn’t your dad like a doctor? I’m sure he doesn’t approve of underage drinking either.” I tried to keep my banter playful like Edward but I was genuinely curious how he’d respond.

“My parents give us the freedom to make our own decisions as long as we’re careful; and I’m not drinking tonight. I came here to appease my sister Alice.”

I was contemplating my response when I heard someone shouting my name. “Bella! What the hell dude! You can’t just wander off like that, you had me seriously worried!” Jessica took a breath to continue chewing me out but stopped short when she realized who I was with. “Oh! Uh hi, Edward. I didn’t know you two knew each other.” Her face flushed when she looked at him.

“Bella and I have biology together. She tripped and I stopped to make sure she was okay. If it’s okay with you I’d like to steal her away from you for the night. I promise I’ll get her home safe.” Edward’s tone was cool and reassuring. He flashed his best smile at Jesica and she looked like she might faint.

“Oh um sure. That’s fine I guess. But Bella left her truck at my house. Angela drove us tonight.” Jessica hesitated, as if she couldn’t believe the words Edward was saying.

“That’s okay, Jessica. I can arrange for one of my siblings to pick it up if you give me your address.” He turned to look at me. “Do you have your car keys, Bella?”

I fished around in my pockets until I felt my keys. “Uh yeah they’re in my pocket. Here.” I grabbed them out and dropped them in his open palm. Edward turned to Jessica again and waited for her response.

“Well uh bye, Bella. I’ll see you at school Monday? I’ll tell Angela and everyone else what the plan is.” Jessica still didn’t seem convinced but didn’t protest either. And I couldn’t deny that I wanted to spend more time with Edward.

“Yeah I’ll see you Monday, Jess. ‘Night.” I tried my best to seem convincing. Jessica wandered off to find the rest of our group and I turned my back to Edward, who was staring at me again. My heart skipped a beat. I wondered what he was thinking. He was so stoic all of the time. I still hoped he wasn’t secretly mad at me for spilling on him. My stomach interrupted my train of thought with an embarrassingly loud sound. I’d forgotten to eat anything before I left the house.

“Are you hungry, Bella?” Edward asked, seemingly genuinely concerned. “You shouldn’t drink on an empty stomach. Let me buy you dinner.” There was no way I could let him buy me anything. I’d already spilled beer on his expensive clothes and was waiting for the right opportunity to pay for his dry cleaning. I wasn't about to be even more in debt to him. As if he’d read my mind he cleared his throat and said “I insist on feeding you tonight, Miss Swan.”

“What about your sister?” I remembered he’d mentioned coming here because of her.

“Alice will be okay. I’ll have Emmet drive her home and they can pick up your truck on the way back.” He pulled out a BlackBerry from his pocket and typed quickly before sliding it back in. “Can I walk you to my car? Its getting late.” Edward offered me his hand and I took it, shivering from his cool touch. His skin was smooth and hard. It almost felt like holding hands with a statue.

He led me through the crowd and down the street until we stopped at a silver Volvo. It was by far the nicest car I’d ever seen, especially in comparison to my ‘63 Chevy that was faded and rusted. Edward opened the passenger door for me and shut it gently once I was inside. The clock on the dashboard read after midnight. I had no idea where he could possibly be taking me at this time of night.

We pulled into the parking lot of a 24 hour diner and by the time I’d finished unbuckling my seatbelt and reached for the door handle Edward had already opened it for me. I had no idea how he’d gotten there so fast, but my mind was still foggy from drinking. He held the door of the restaurant open for me and we slid into a booth in the back corner.

I hadn’t realized how hungry I was until a cheeseburger and fries appeared in front of me. “Aren’t you going to eat anything?” I asked, noticing the empty space in front of Edward.

“I’m not hungry,” he replied, pushing my plate toward me gently. I bit into a fry and savored the saltiness. “The carbs will help soak up the alcohol in your system.”

“Why are you being so nice to me?” I asked, finally giving into the urge I’d been resisting all night. “ I thought you hated me or something. You barely acknowledge me in biology and I never see you talk to anyone besides your brothers and sisters.”

“I’ve never hated you, Bella,” he sighed. “ I just thought it might be best if we weren’t close.”

“Well what changed?” I asked, taking a bite of my burger.

“I’m tired of forcing myself to avoid you. I want to know you. You fascinate me, Bella.” His eyes glinted as he spoke. I’d never looked at him this intently before. His eyes were like liquid honey, and his hair looked especially coppery in the diner’s lighting.

“What’s so fascinating about me? I’m not special or extraordinary, Edward.” I averted my eyes and tried to hide my face in my hair. What could he see in me? I wasn’t ugly or completely uninteresting, but I was hardly worthy of the attention from the likes of Edward Cullen.

“That’s where you’re wrong, Bella. I don’t know how to explain it but you’re marvelous.” His voice seemed so sincere.

I blushed and picked at the fries on my plate. I had only eaten about half of my meal, but my stomach was starting to protest. “I think I’m finished.”

We were back on the road and Edward switched on the radio. I’d just finished giving him directions to my house and wanted to rest my eyes until we got home. Suddenly it felt like my stomach was doing acrobatics and I was sure I was turning green. “Uh, I think we should pull over, Edward. I think I’m gonna be sick” as soon as the sentence had left my mouth I started vomiting all over his passenger seat. The Volvo screeched to a stop on the side of the highway and I practically fell out of the car, trying to avoid making things worse than I already had. I kneeled on the pavement and retched until my stomach was completely empty.

I realized Edward was standing nearby, trying to figure out how to deal with this. I was absolutely humiliated. He called me marvelous and I’d blown chunks in the front seat of his car. Edward did his best to clean up the mess with the napkins we’d taken from the diner and let me curl up in his backseat.

It felt like ages before he pulled into the driveway of Charlie’s house. Edward opened the backseat and before I could say anything he’d scooped me up into his arms and carried me to the doorway. He handed me my keys and I unlocked the door. “Thanks for driving me home, Edward. I’m really sorry I threw up in your car.” My cheeks burned red. I was sure I’d ruined any chance of even friendship with him after tonight’s events.

“It was my pleasure, Bella. And don’t worry about the car.” He was so kind to me even after everything that happened. I felt a tug of sadness in the pit of my stomach at the thought of him leaving. I usually didn’t mind being alone, in fact I usually preferred it. But something about him made me feel differently. I didn’t want him to leave me tonight.

“Umm, you can come in and get a towel or something for you car if you want” I felt sheepish and knew I was grasping at straws to extend our time together. He could probably see right through my attempts.

“Sure, Bella. Why don’t you take a shower and I’ll finish cleaning the car. I promise I won’t leave until you finish.”

I couldn’t believe my stupid idea had worked. I gave Edward a towel and turned on the shower. The hot water felt incredible after such a long night. I leaned back and let the water run down my body. I washed my hair and scrubbed myself. I hadn't realized how sticky I was until now.

I dried off and changed into pajamas. After I brushed my teeth and towel dried my hair I remembered Edward was still waiting downstairs. His shirt probably still smelled like alcohol and cheeseburger vomit because of me. I went down the hall into Charlie’s room and pulled an old t-shirt from his dresser. I hoped he wouldn’t notice it was missing. I hated lying to him and there was no truthful explanation I could give Charlie to explain. I headed downstairs to give Edward the spare shirt and offer to wash the one I’d sullied.

He was sitting patiently on the couch when I returned. “You can borrow one of Charlie’s shirts if you want. I can wash yours and bring it back Monday?”

“That’s very kind of you, Bella,” he replied, taking the shirt from my hands. He lifted the dirty one above his head and I understood how Jessica felt earlier tonight. His stomach was toned, with a small trail of hair that disappeared below his jeans. I was mesmerized as he pulled Charlie’s old t-shirt over his head and grinned. “How do I look?”

“It s-suits you” I stammered, blushing for what felt like the hundredth time. “Will you stay?” I blurted out. I covered my mouth after I said it, immediately regretting my words.

To my surprise Edward extended his hand toward me again. “Lead the way,” he replied, flashing me his dazzling smile. I took his hand in mine and lead us up the stairs and down the hall to my bedroom. He sat gingerly on my bed and I took the spot beside him.

“Thank you for staying” I managed to whisper in the dark. I laid down on the pillow and felt him wrap his arms around me.

“Of course” he murmured in my ear”. I felt him stroke my hair and my eyes grew heavy and I drifted off in his arms.

Request: >3> Si no es demasiado tarde, tal vez un escenario tonto de reunión de 7DS Arthur y la Lectora (Guinevere, no, no como la de Loli). Eran amigos de la infancia mucho antes de que Arturo se convirtiera en rey y eran particularmente cercanos, pero antes de que tuvieran que tomar caminos separados (Guinevere regresaba a Cameliard) hicieron una promesa de volver a verse cuando fueran mayores. qwq

Advertencias: muy ligera angustia, comfort y mucha Fluff. Tropo de Amigos de la Infancia a Amantes, Reader tiene las características de Guinevere de los mitos (al diablo con Loli).

Provienes del reino de Carmelide, un aliado de Pendragon durante generaciones y por extensión, de Camelot.

Así que no era raro que tu familia acudiera a dicho reino por motivos políticos o para intentar ayudar en la búsqueda del nuevo rey/reina, quien debería ser el digno de levantar la legendaria espada en la piedra.

pero eras una niña pequeña, realmente no entendías muy bien esas cosas a esa edad, entonces te dejaron vagar por el reino (con una escolta) mientras los adultos hacían lo que tenían que hacer.

Entonces, en una de esas salidas, te topaste con Arthur (que intentaba no dejar atrás al que suponías era su hermano).

Cuando Arthur te vio por primera vez, inmediatamente reconoció que eras de la realeza, por lo que se inclinó descaradamente y se disculpó por casi chocar contigo. y te preguntó directamente si eras princesa, por lo bonita que eras.

Te dejó un poco desprevenida, pero por suerte pudiste volver en sí cuando tus escoltas casi lo atacan por pensar que estaba demasiado cerca, les dijiste que lo dejaran en paz, que era un amigo.

Cuando tus escoltas tomaron cierta distancia, tú y Arthur terminaron pasando buena parte del día juntos, aprendiendo más el uno del otro y demás, descubriste que su padre era un caballero sagrado, que su hermano (Kai) era un idiota ( no lo dijo, pero por cómo lo describió no te gustó) y que él mismo soñaba con convertirse en caballero.

Era agradable poder estar con alguien de tu edad sin tener que preocuparte constantemente por la etiqueta y los modales.

Entonces, a partir de entonces, Arthur y tú comenzasteis a veros casi seguido, en cualquier reunión que tu familia tuviera, salías e ibas a verlo, te ponías al día y jugabas cosas normales de niños (a Arthur le gustaba especialmente jugar para ser "el caballero que rescata a la bella princesa")

¡Ustedes dos también harían mini picnics! Después de jugar un rato en los bosques del reino, Arthur y tú encontrarías algún lugar firme y más o menos limpio (Arthur siempre insistía en que no ensuciaras tu ropa "cara") y comieran manzanas :3

Te sentías bien con Arthur porque por fin podías ser una niña y no sólo una princesa de Carmelide. y Arthur se sentía bien contigo porque eras dulce y amable a pesar de tu posición aparentemente privilegiada.

Ambos se complementaron muy bien.

Aunque mientras más tiempo pasaba con Arthur y ambos crecían, la tensión romántica aumentaba considerablemente, pero ninguno de los dos hizo nada al respecto, tal vez solo tenían un poco de miedo de perder la amistad que venían teniendo.

pero entonces Arturo logró alzar la espada sobre la piedra, siendo proclamado nuevo Rey.

y fue... un shock, por decir lo menos.

Todo fue un conjunto de buenas y malas noticias en poco tiempo, lo que no ayudó mucho al shock.

Por un lado sentías que Arthur estaba consiguiendo lo que realmente merecía: ser el líder del reino que amaba.

pero ahora que el nuevo rey de Camelot estaba presente, los servicios de asesoramiento de Carmelide no serían necesarios (a menos que hubiera una gran amenaza, por supuesto), lo que significaba que ya no se le permitiría ir solo a Camelot.

Incluso te dijeron que no sería apropiado que siguieras viendo a Arthur a menos que te propusieran una alianza a través del matrimonio.

que fue la gota que colmó el vaso. Te sentiste muy mal durante días.

y si así fuera, tú y Arthur lo mantuviste más tranquilo de lo normal, queriendo disfrutar de la compañía del otro sabiendo que pasaría un tiempo antes de que volvieran a verse.

pero al menos gracias a eso tu familia decidió y organizó que tú y Arthur tuvieran una ÚLTIMA salida antes de que tuvieran que regresar permanentemente a Carmelide.

No sé que dijeron nada romántico como tal, pero sí dejaron varias cosas claras, se iban a extrañar, Arthur iba a extrañar sacarte a escondidas, ibas a extrañar jugar con él y tener aventuras.

Al final de la salida le pediste un último favor.

Le hiciste entrelazar su meñique con el tuyo y le prometiste que lo volverías a ver cuando fuera Rey y que él haría lo mismo.

No pasó mucho tiempo para que Arturo hiciera lo mismo, te prometió que aunque fuera rey, haría todo lo posible por volverte a ver.

y con esa promesa en mente, volviste a Carmelide.

Pasó el tiempo e intentaste manejar la soledad lo mejor posible, entrenándote para ser la mejor princesa posible para el reino. Tu familia quedó satisfecha.

aunque definitivamente fueron tomados por sorpresa cuando sucedió lo de Henrykson y los demonios.

Tu familia estaba alarmada, el reino podría estar en crisis, tendrían que entrenar más duramente a sus caballeros sagrados y, sobre todo, restablecer las relaciones con Camelot y su actual Rey.

Arthur Pendragón.

¿Estabas un poco nerviosa? Sí, pero ¿fue completamente eclipsado por la emoción de volver a ver a Arthur? ¡SÍ! Te preguntaste cómo estafaba ahora después de tanto tiempo.

y Arthur no estaba mejor.

él sabía que el primer aliado al que tendría que informarle todo sería Carmelide, y por extensión tú, así que estaba bastante impaciente por ir en persona o que fueras a Camelot.

Y para matar el tiempo pensó en cómo serías ahora, cómo será todo en tu reino, cómo serás TÚ.

Y cuando llegó el día del reencuentro, ambos estaban con las emociones a mil.

Tú fuiste quien tuvo que ir a Camelot, lo que de por sí te trajo muchos recuerdos agradables de la infancia que te ayudaron a estar menos nerviosa.

No sólo era el rey que ibas a ver, sino que también era un amigo (y tal vez algo más).

y cuando llegaste antes que Arthur y ambos estaban en el mismo lugar... fue como si todo se detuviera por un momento.

La mente de Arthur era como: sin pensamientos, nada, solo tú.

y estabas absorbiendo todo lo nuevo sobre este "nuevo Arturo" frente a ti, parecía más alto, llevaba su armadura de rey, pero definitivamente emitía un cierto aura amable.

Sentías que podías relajarte con él nuevamente.

y asi fue.

Afortunadamente, Arthur solo se volvió aún más amigable con el tiempo, más maduro, seguía siendo alguien sincero con un corazón de oro. Estabas agradecido de que él todavía tuviera espacio para verte como un amigo especial y no solo como un socio de alianza.

y Arthur no se quedó atrás, vio que te habías vuelto más elegante, más fina y más recta, pero aún tenías un carácter amigable destinado a la gente, alguien encantadora.

Las idas y venidas a Camelot volvieron a ser una constante en tu vida y sinceramente era hermoso, podías ver los cambios que Arthur estaba haciendo en Camelot y estaba muy feliz de tenerte de regreso.

Habló mucho sobre su entrenamiento para el Rey, a veces incluso lo ayudaste ya que estabas mejor versada en varias cosas relacionadas con las regulaciones y la etiqueta.

¡Quizás incluso el te hable sobre los Pecados Capitales! Quiero decir, pocas personas no saben quiénes son, pero escuchar a Arthur hablar de ellos con tanta emoción es definitivamente otra cosa.

(si los conoces seguro que hacen los típicos chistes de tortolitos 🤣)

Puedo ver a Arthur siendo más abierto con sus sentimientos románticos en este punto.

Por supuesto, en el tiempo que no estuvieron juntos tal vez uno podría decir que fue solo un enamoramiento infantil, pero ahora que están juntos nuevamente y que él puede continuar amando y apreciando esta versión madura de usted, puede decir que está enamorado.

(ahora el apodo "princesa" o "dama" se puede usar tanto irónicamente como no irónicamente xd simplemente para Arthur Eres una princesa :3)

Y por tu parte tampoco puede decir que sea unilateral.

Arthur te ama y te aprecia sin importar el título y la etiqueta, incluso ahora que él es EL REY y DEBE importarle, no le importa, solo se preocupa por ti. No puedes evitar sentirte muy apreciada por él.

incluso hacer tus propios avances (en contra de lo que tu familia consideraría "apropiado")

ustedes dos pasaron un buen rato recuperando el tiempo perdido, poniéndose al día y demás, y esa tensión que solían tener cuando eran más jóvenes pareció resurgir.

sólo que esta vez parecía que estaban más preparados para la posibilidad de ser ALGO MÁS.

Quién sabe, tal vez una alianza matrimonial no sea tan mala idea después de todo.

Al menos, no si es contigo/él.

Backstory: Edward "Eddie" Delkins was born to a "happy" married couple named Millie and Jacob Delkins. He had two siblings. An older brother named Terrance and a two-year younger sister named Elle. His parents always expected a lot from him but hey, he still loved them. He revealed he was trans when he was 6 but of course his parents didn't like that, but his siblings accepted him and helped him go through treatment. When the outbreak happened, he was in his room, reading until he heard his older brother yelling. When he went to check what was going on, he saw two zombies eating his mom. He lets out a horrific scream as his brother practically threw him, his sister's bunny Fluffball, the family dog Rofee and his sister into the van and drove off. They soon find Pedro who raises them like his own children. In season 5, the Delkins siblings and their dad were reunited. Elle and Eddie had their suspicions and didn't trust him but Eddie pretended to so he could get the truth from him. Once Eddie and his dad were alone, Eddie's dad told him about his plan to wipe out the survivors and demanded him to join them, even guiltripping him but Eddie refused, causing his dad to go off the edge. He soon went to the survivors and attacked them with the Fireflies. But the fight stopped when Eddie shot his dad. And the rest is history :D

## pairing(s)! bff's older brother! jake x reader

## synopsis! where y/n is absolutely head over heels for her best friend's older brother. to y/n's knowledge, Jake saw her as a little sister and because of that, she decides to try and get over her feelings. but why is it that once she tries to get over him, he realizes something too? (first part here!)

## a/n! PART 2!!!! MWAHAHA I'm just letting all of you know now that there will be a part 3 😏 also this took me so long to write for no reason????? idk why butttttt please stay tuned for part 3 :D I hope you enjoy~~~

8:00 am, on the dot; you and Bella arrive at the school entrance, just in time for homeroom. As the two of you walk to your shared homeroom, Jake and his friends happen to spot you down the hall. Sunghoon is quick to nudge Jake in an attempt to get his attention, “Dude. Stop gawking. Just go and talk to her.” Jake’s gaze on you is broken, “Okay, chill! I wasn’t gawking.” Heeseung chimes in, “Jake, seriously. Go up and talk to her. Haven’t you known her since like…forever?”

"Well-yes. Okay, okay, it's not that simple guys."

"How?" Jay asks.

"Well, yeah... I have known her since forever. But, that's the problem..." Jake explains as he heaves out a sigh, "She's my little sister's best friend-"

"Okay, and?" Sunghoon interjects.

"I get that she's your little sister's best friend, but you can't help how you feel. If you like her, you like her." Heeseung says with a shrug as he gives Jake an 'I know you know I'm right' look.

Jake shakes his head, "Okay, but-"

"No more but's dude! Go talk to y/n's butt" Jay laughs as he cuts him off.

"Wait-no-!"

"Yeah, yeah, Sim. Just go talk to y/n," Heeseung brushes him off as he pushes Jake towards the direction of you and Bella. Leading with a stumble, he makes his way toward you. Jake was so nervous, so unbelievably beyond nervous. He didn't even know what he was going to say! But, right before he could catch up with you and Bella, a different guy approaches you. A quite tall one, at that.

Jake sees the two of you separate from Bella, and he's left standing in shock and confusion. Without thinking clearly, Jake makes a b-line to his sister. "Yo, Bella... hey, what's up?" he asks as he approaches her. "Jake? What do you mean what's up? I literally just saw you at home not even half an hour ago," Bella says confused.

"Yeah.. you're right.. haha... Anyways, who did y/n just go off with?"

"Oh, you saw that? Why do you care?" Bella lets out an evil-like giggle.

"Eh. Just wondering."

Bella makes a suggestive face, "Why-"

"Okay, nothing else? 'Kay, bye." Jake blurts out and leaves the scene immediately. Bella watches him run away in deep confusion. "Okay, then?" she says to herself and proceeds to head to her homeroom.

FIRST PERIOD

After walking with each other from homeroom to first period, you and Bella sit down. After getting situated, Bella speaks up, "Hey, y/nnie... I forgot to mention! Jake was asking about you earlier." Mentally, your eyes popped out of their sockets. But physically, your ears were the brightest shade of red. (Thank god your hair covered that up!) Shaking off how flustered you just got, you ask, "Oh... why? Wait, when?"

"Like, right after you went off with that guy."

"That guy has a name, you know.. It's-" you laugh

"Yeah, yeah. I know." Bella cuts you off with a giggle.

"Okay... anyways. What did Jake ask about me?"

"Why do you want to know so bad?" Bella smirks.

"Wh-what? I mean- Well- Wouldn't you want to know if someone was asking about you?"

"Relax y/nnie, I was just making fun. Why so flustered all of a sudden?"

"... oh, whatever." you put your head down in defeat.

After a minute Bella speaks up, "He was just wondering who you went off with. He was acting kinda weird after, though." You face her direction while your head was still down on your desk and let out a little "Hmph." Then, class started. As your teacher was going on and on about the lesson of the day, you couldn't help but think about a certain Sim sibling throughout the entirety of your class.

While daydreaming about Jake, Bella nudges your side in an attempt to get your attention. "What are you thinking about? Please tell me you aren't thinking about my brother right now," she says with a shit-eating grin. In utter shock and a little bit of a haze, you blurt out, "Oh my god, what." Bella lets out another mischievous giggle, "Anyways, class is over my very best friend, let's get going!" she exclaims as she drags you up from your seat and out of the classroom.

The bell rings and that's you and Bella's cue to head to your separate second periods. She bids you farewell with a, "See you at lunch y/nnie~" as she heads in the opposite direction from you. You release a deep breath you didn't know you were holding. Why is it that when you decide you're getting over Jake Sim, he pops up out of nowhere?

With thoughts of Jake clouding your mind, you try to shrug it off and head to your next class.

LUNCHTIME

While sitting with Bella at lunch, you tell her you gotta go meet up with someone and work on a project. She replies with a, " 'Kay!" and decides to join Jake and his friends at lunch. Walking up to the table, she's greeted by Sunghoon first, "Hey little Sim, you sitting with us today?" He pulls out a chair between him and Jake to make room. "Why're you sitting with us today?" Jake asks. "Well, y/n ditched me for some guy, so I'm stuck with you guys," she says as she jokingly rolls her eyes. Jake nudges her and everyone at the table laughs. After the laughter dies down, an awkward silence lingers. While Bella eats her lunch and has her attention focused on doing that, Jake looks around and sees all of his friends' eyes on him.

They seemed to have noticed that Jake's mood went down exponentially, hearing that y/n was eating lunch with another guy. Jake doesn't know what got into him, but he needed to see you. He begins to get up from the table, then Bella asks, "Yo, where you going?" He wasn't expecting the question, so he needed to come up with an excuse, and fast. "Oh! Um, I... oh! I'm going to the bathroom real quick," he musters out. "I'll be back guys," Jake informs the rest of his friends. They all know he's not really going to the bathroom.

After leaving the cafeteria, he doesn't know where to start. He starts to wander around the halls aimlessly. Passing by classroom after classroom, in search of you. And only you. Only you were on his mind. After feeling like he had checked every single room on campus, Jake came to a halt. Stepping aside from the middle of a hallway, he leans onto a wall of lockers. He grabs his hair in a frustrated way, while simultaneously sliding down onto the floor. He lets out a desperate laugh, "What am I doing?" he says to himself. He really doesn't know what he's doing. Why did he need to see you? What was he going to say when he saw you? And why can't he get you, his little sister's best friend, out of his head? "You are so stupid," he thought to himself. "You're Jake Sim! Get up off the floor," he thinks.

As Jake begins his long walk back to the cafeteria, he's stopped by a familiar laughter. Laughter he's heard almost every day since he was 4 years old. He can't miss that laugh from a mile away. Jake follows the chorus that is your laugh, and then he sees. He stops, and he sees. In an empty classroom, with the windows open, and the curtains being blown by a breeze, there sits you. You're laughing, and your beautiful smile is being emphasized by the sunlight shining gently onto you. You're like a dream. A beautiful and great dream. But you know what happens when you dream? You wake up. And Jake is awoken by the boy sitting to your right: Choi Soobin.
