The smell of Lavender hits your nose making you smile and your body relax, you know that smell well, it's what the girls use to relax after a long day. "Nami, Robin? You here?" You call out looking around the steam filled room but again there's no answer, with a sigh you turn off the tap stopping the water from overflowing and flooding the already wet floor. Feeling a bit more relaxed than when you stepped into the room you look down at the water seeing your rippled refection looking back at you, your face was beaten up beyond belief hardly even able to recognized yourself. It was like you were caught in a trance looking at the water as if the reflection wasn't you but some strange creature, the smell of lavender faded away bringing back that uneasy feeling but you couldn't look away from the water and your reflection. It seemed like years had gone by before you were snapped out of it by the sound of a door behind you opening causing you to gasp turning around in surprise but the door was closed and there was no one in the room with you "Luffy? Zoro? that you?" You ask holding yourself while hope flowed threw you. "Hay baby" Zoro's voice calls out from behind you making you spin around with a smile expecting the swordsman to be there but its just the bath and the bubble filled water, the smile fades from your face, of course it was your mind playing tricks on you again. "Zoro" you sigh rubbing your arm as tears well up in your eyes but you hold them back, you've had enough of crying and those horrible feelings that threaten to consume you.
Rubbing your tired face you sigh into your hands before running them through your hair "If this is a dream i want to wake up now... please let me wake up" You beg to yourself or who ever is making this happen, stepping closer to the bath again looking down at your reflection seeing that same strange creature looking back at you "Please... please" Your heart hurts, all you want is to be with your crew, to be held by your boys again but there's no one around and these phantom voices feel like their torturing you, giving you false hope. Looking into the water your eyes widen at the reflection of someone over your shoulder, gasping at the all to familiar horrid face of Charlos you turn only for the man to grab your neck and hair shoving you into the water. Thrashing to get him off of you, the dragon keeps your head underwater all while calling you names but complementing your skin telling you what he's going to do to it. His voice was muffled with your head underwater but there were other voices too, ones you recognized but couldn't make out what they were saying. Kicking your legs and trying to grab onto Charlos to push him off you felt your vision go blurry, you try clawing at his ugly face but your hands feel trapped like someone has a hold of them. Your legs kick and push, despite the pain in your body, you keep fighting as the water slashes around you spilling onto the floor. You try to scream telling him to get off of you but your breath stutters from the water trying to rush into your mouth and your legs feel trapped stopping you from moving them no matter how hard you fight.
Through the day Luffy and Zoro came to check on you but was either pulled away to help with something or talk to someone, the two didn't mind much since either Chopper or Robin were more than happy to sit with you so you wouldn't be alone. The other crews were more than happy to pitch in and help with anything the straw hat's needed no matter how much food or booze your captain and Swordsman asked for. After a long day Zoro sat on the floor his back against the bed while your arm hung over his shoulder, so he could hold your hand, The swordsman's snores surprisingly didn't disturb Robin's reading who was sitting on a chair at the end of the bed. A light knock taps on the door before it opens, Nami peeks her head in with a small smile spotting the black haired woman right away who gestures for her to come in. The navigator steps in closing the door behind her while looking at the sleeping Zoro and you, a large basket of flowers in her hands and a tiny blue Tontatta on her shoulder who waves with a big smile. "Hay, the Tontatta's have some really cool gifts for us" Nami smiles as she sets the basket down on the side and grabs some Lavender from it. Robin places her book down and walks over to the two looking over the basket of flowers taking in their relaxing small. "Different plants have different effects. When Chopper-land said Y/N-land was in a deep sleep i thought these flowers would help, some of their smells can relax while others can be used in drinks to help with muscle pain" Wicca the small blue Tontatta explained with a smile before looking over to the bed spotting you and Zoro.
Her tiny face goes from a happy smile to an annoyed pout "Oh the oafs here" She sighs earning a giggle from Robin and Nami who take some flowers out of the basket and place it in a vase next to the bed. "Who are you calling an oaf, tiny brat" Zoro growls from the floor only for the tiny woman to jump off Nami's shoulder and land on the swordsman's head hard forcing him further onto the floor "Your so rude, i'm here to help and your calling me a brat, you stupid swordsman" The woman yells, her tiny voice echoing threw the room, Zoro growls and grabs her holding the blue woman to his face. Nami sighs and places a hand on the swordsman's shoulder "Leave it Zoro, plus she's right, Y/N looks much calmer now" The navigator smiles looking down at your relaxed face, you've been looking sad for a long time so its a welcome change. Zoro turns to see your face letting his eyes soften at how relaxed you seem with the small of Lavender now in the air. The swordsman losses his grip on the tiny woman before setting her down on the bed where she pats her dress to straighten it out "A thank you would be nice" Wicca crosses her arms over her chest with a pout making the swordsman sigh while taking your hand in his again, his thumb running over your knuckles. "Thanks" Zoro mumbles keeping his eyes on you as the tiny lady huffs but accepts it. "Lets leave the cranky man alone" Nami giggles holding out her hand for Wicca to step onto, the swordsman growls under his breath but decides to keep his mouth shut as the two who interrupted his nap finally leave and Robin goes back to reader her book not wanting to cause any more annoyance to the green haired man.
Luffy was growing more and more worried as day three rolled around, the party last night was fun, but he was hoping you would have woken up by now to join in. You were still asleep and showed no sign of waking up even when Luffy tried to tempt you with this mornings breakfast, wafting the foods steam into your face in hopes you'll wake up from hunger. Sitting at the end of the bed Luffy rubs your leg thats on his lap feeling your warm skin as he pouts trying to think of other ways that might make you wake up. Chopper walks over to the bed and sits down placing a hand on the worried captain's arm getting his attention "It's going to be ok Luffy." The doctor tries to reassure making the captain smile and pat the reindeer's head giving him a nod, silence filled the room until the door opened Zoro walking in while running a towel through his hair, coming back from his morning workout. Luffy smiles up at him and goes to greet the man when your voice weakly calls out "Luffy? Zoro? that you?" Zoro smiles walking over and placing a hand on your head running his fingers through your hair "Hay baby" The swordsman whispers as Luffy moves closer hoping that your starting to wake up but your face turns sad again, tears starting fall down your cheeks making his eyes widen "Zoro" You call out again your body starting to shake as you take in uneven breaths "It's ok Y/N, we're here" Luffy tried to sooth rubbing your leg in comfort as Zoro bends down and places a kiss on your forehead "It's ok baby, your safe" The swordsman's voice is soft as your body starts to move.
Your legs try to push against the mattress as your hands grab onto Zoro's arm. "Y/n, its ok... wake up" Chopper calls out before having to dodge a kick you send his way "Get off.. Let go" You call out starting to thrash around as if someone is on top of you. Zoro quickly grabs your hands only for your fingers to claw at his face, one of your nails digging into the skin on his cheek. "Stop her from hurting herself" Chopper yells noticing the bandage of you leg starting to come lose with all the kicking and screaming, Luffy grabs your legs holding them together trying to stop you from hurting your thigh as Chopper jumps off the bed to get some medication. "Y/N, its ok, its just a dream" Luffy calls out while Zoro grabs your wrist with one hand the other going to your hair to try and sooth you "Y/N, Wake up" The swordsman orders hearing you call out for someone to get off you over and over again. "Y/n" Luffy yells before you gasp for air, your eyes shooting open, waking up from your all too real nightmare, panting you still trying to get the two off you while looking around but you soon see your in the medical room and not in the bathroom, your not drowning and Charlos isn't here. You start to relax and stop resisting who ever is holding your limbs but your body shakes in fear, unsure of what just happened as your brain tries to figure out what is going on. "its ok, its over" Zoro sighs in relief seeing you awake and starting to let your hands go while leaning down and pressing a kiss on your head.
Luffy relaxes a little but refuses to let go of you legs until Chopper walks back over putting some medication in your IV to help calm you down. "It was just a bad dream, your safe" The captain smiles trying to reassure you while putting your legs down on the bed and moving up to you so he can run his hand over your cheek. Coming back to reality your eyes scan over their faces as Luffy wipes away the tears on your cheek "Zoro? Luffy?" You ask hoping their both real as you reach up to touch their faces "Yea its us, your safe" Luffy smiles leaning into your hand that touches his cheek, looking at the two you smile feeling that their both real and here with you. Sitting up you pull the two into a hug which they both gladly accept holding you tight against them as your head lays in between theirs. "I'm so glad your awake" Luffy smiles holding you a little tighter as your breathing starts to slow down. Zoro nuzzles into your neck the anxiety and worry he has washing away at your touch, Luffy places a kiss on your cheek before pulling away to see your face and wipe away any stray tears "Luffy" You whisper placing your hand on his cheek again, the captain gives you a big smile while holding your hand to his face leaning into your warm touch "Its me muffin, your ok now" Luffy moves closer placing a light kiss on your lips before hugging you again "You ok now Y/N?" Chopper asks noticing your a lot calmer now. You nod at him with a smile before thanking him and turning to the swordsman who's still buried in your neck "Zoro?" You ask running your hand through his hair.
The swordsman hums into your neck as a response before kissing your neck making his way up to your cheek making you smile and laugh a little. Finally, meeting his eye you run your hand over his cheek feeling a slight cut, your eyes widen when seeing the scratch on Zoro's cheek and blood on your finger nail "I'm so sorry, Zo" You start to pant but Zoro shushes you running his hand through your hair "It's ok baby, you didn't mean it, you were having a nightmare" His reassuring words and small smile help you calm down again, leaning up you place a kiss over the scratch which he leans into his smile growing wider "See baby, its ok" The swordsman rubs your back as Luffy pulls away to smile at you, the captain takes off his straw hat and places it on your head before kissing your cheek "You've been out for days so you must be starving, I'll get Sanji to make you something ok?, I'll be right back" The captain gives you a big smile before hopping off the bed and rushing out the door calling out for the cook, it makes you laugh while placing your hand on the straw hat as Zoro sits on the bed next to you pulling you into his side. "I'm sorry i slept so long" You sigh leaning into the kiss that Zoro places on your forehead. "It's ok, you needed your sleep but ... are you ok? You cried out a few times and then.." Chopper asks before going to your thigh and tightening the bandages that you loosened.
When you didn't answer Zoro gives your shoulder a squeeze making you look up at the swordsman, his eyes beg you to answer in some way. With a smile you place a soft kiss on his lips which he leans into pushing back a bit harder missing the feeling of your lips against his. "I'm ok now... its all over" You whisper against his lips before going back in for another kiss. The door to the medical room burst open making you jump and cling onto Zoro who growl at the blonde cook who's standing at the door with a plate of food "Y/N-chan your awake" You relax a little seeing its only Sanji bring you food but you can't relax too much with how your swordsman is glaring at the cook "I made you your favorite" Sanji glides over holding the plate out to you which you gladly take, the food smells amazing and makes your stomach growl causing you to blush at the loud sound. "Thank you Sanji" Your words making the cook sway a little with happiness, taking a bite you hum at the taste while relaxing against Zoro, Luffy walks in soon after rubbing the back of his head as if he was hit hard before sitting on the end of the bed. "If there's anything else i can get you feel free to ask" Sanji smiles as you dig into the food, you wanted to answer him but you were starving and it teased so good. Zoro gives you a small smile before turning to look at the cook. "You can go now" He states not liking the cooks lingering gaze on you, Sanji glares back at the swordsman causing tension to grow "I'm waiting for her to answer moss head" Sanji glares back his teeth clenching down on the cigarette in his mouth.
Looking up at the two you sigh while putting your finished plate down before jabbing Zoro in the side with your elbow making his groan at you "Be nice, he brought me food" Zoro goes to say something but you put your finger on his lips stopping him from speaking "Don't say its his job." Zoro sighs against your finger and turns his head away as you turn your attention to the cook "Thanks for the food Sanji... Could you ask Nami and Robin to help me get a bath later?" You ask causing Zoro's and Luffy's eyes to widen before shooting a look at you, "Are you sure?" The two ask with worry clearly shown on their face, after what you told them the two thought you would be scared to go anywhere near a bath and in a way that was true but a part of you thought Charlos would win if you didn't at least try and concur that fear. With a small smile your take Zoro's and Luffy's hand trying to reassure them "Yea I'll be fine, If i can't do it then I'll just get a shower but... I'm sure I'll be fine with the girls" The two relax a little at your words, Chopper was still worried, but he's also glad that your determined to overcome things "I'll get one with you if thats ok? I want to make sure your injuries are ok and i can apply new bandages right after" The doctor smiles up at you as you nod before looking back up at Sanji who smiles down at you with a bow "I'll go and ask the lovely lady's for you" The blonde takes your plate before turning and leaving closing the door behind him "I'm proud of you" Luffy smiles getting you to look at him but you give him a slightly confused look "After everything your still our Y/N" His big smile makes your heart flutter causing you to smile just as big.
Chopper checked you over before removing the IV in your hand and stepping back happy that your not in much pain. "Lets get you up and walking, so we can get cleaned up, ok?" The doctor smiles as you nod moving to the edge of the bed. Zoro leans down and wraps his arm around your waist while the other holds your hand wanting to help you stand while Luffy watching from his seat on the bed. Standing up you felt stiff and sore but even though your legs where a little shaky, you managed to stand and take a few steps, Zoro slowly starts to let you go watching you walk on your own without issue. "Is your thigh ok? no pain or tugging feeling?" Chopper asks while looking over the bandage on your thigh, it does hurt a bit when you put pressure on your leg but it feels a lot better than what it was. "A little painful but i can walk on it, it doesn't feel too bad" You smile down at the doctor who ponders for a minute before nodding "Ok i'm happy for you to walk around but someone has to be with you at all times and you need to take regular breaks" With a smile you agree and lean down to pat his head before walking back over to Luffy and Zoro. "Awesome, that means you can join tonight's feast, you missed the last one" Luffy jumps up from the bed with a big smile wrapping his arms around your waist to pull you into him, with a giggle you wrap your arms around his neck "Sound fun, i can't wait" Your comment makes Luffy laugh a little and smile wider, happy that you'll join in.
Zoro nods in response walking over and running a hand through your slightly tatty hair. "The last one was pretty wild but with all the other crew's here now, i'm sure its gonna be worse" Zoro chuckles as Luffy nods while reaching up a hand to place it on the straw hat still on your head. "Mind if i have this back? I don't want it to get wet" He asks waiting for your answer but you think for a moment wondering if you should let him have it back or tease him a little, you take his hand off the hat making the captain's smile fades into a pout, he's so cute when he pouts so you decide to go easy on him and lean closer "Well, You can have it back but i want something in return" You give him a cheeky smile which he laughs at before placing his lips on yours, you hum into it as his hand goes to your cheek and the other taking his hat off your head placing it back on his own. Pulling away the captain pecks your lips a few times before stepping back, Zoro shakes his head at the two of you while placing a hand around your waist and placing a kiss on your head, leaning into the swordsman you look up at him seeing the look he gives you. Knowing what he wants you lean up and place a light kiss on his lips only for him to groan at it before leaning down and crashing his lips onto yours, reaching up you place a hand on his cheek before slowly pulling away "Better?" you ask with a cheeky smile earning a chuckle from the green haired man who simply nods before taking Luffy's hand "We'll see you at the feast, be good" He tells you before walking out with Luffy to eat and drink.
The bathroom was warm when you walked with a towel wrapped around you, there was no sound of running water but the bath was filled with steaming water and bubbles, the only differences from your dream is that Nami and Robin where already in the bathtub waiting for you while Chopper sat on the edge smiling up at you. You gave Chopper permission to tell the two what happened to you so they could help understand why your so scared, but they didn't look at you any different which made things a lot easier. "Hay" Nami calls out with a smile her haired tied up in a bun so it doesn't get wet "Just take your time, there's no need to rush" Robin smiles at you her hair also in a bun, but she reaches her hand out to you as you walk closer, taking her hand you look down at the water, your heart pounded in your chest as you body started to shake. "I'm sorry" You sigh wanting to step into the water and get it over with but your body refused to move "It's ok Y/N" Chopper places his hand on your hip as a form of comfort while Nami stands up out of the water putting a towel around her as she steps out and stands next to you. Your eyes follow her every move unsure of what she's doing and way, it scared you a little but Nami is your friend, she wouldn't do anything bad to you. Taking your hand the navigator uses her other hand to move some hair out of your face, her eyes looked you over seeing the fading bruises, thin cuts and tight bandages peeking out from under the towel "The girls you saved told us how brave and strong you were" She whispers to you but her words make you sigh.
You weren't strong and brave and you wanted to tell her that or yell at her for it, but you stopped when her eyes met yours, there were slight tears, but they were full of pride "I know you may not think that because you didn't fight him back until Luffy and Zoro showed up but fighting back doesn't make you strong or brave... what makes you that is how you respond to it all, even after getting beaten and abused you never gave up, You held your head high, you had faith in us. Y/N, You helped those girls, you gave them a share of your food, you gave them hope and you put them before yourself because your a strong and brave person." Your eyes widen at her words unsure of how to respond as she places her hand on your cheek "It's ok to be scared, trauma causes you to fear things that you shouldn't but your willing to overcome it and that deferentially makes you strong and brave" You can't help but smile at the navigator before pulling her into a hug "Thank you" You whisper to her as Nami wraps her arms around you trying to blink away her tears, Robin lets out a small giggle as her smile grows "I couldn't have put it better myself Nami, nice job" Chopper sniffles a little and wipes his teary eyes "N-Nami" he goes to cry but Robin places a hand on his head giving it a few pats as you pull away from the navigator to look at them "Thanks guys, i really appreciate everything you've done" You thank the three happy to be a part of their lives.
Nami helps you step into the bath your feet warming up instantly but as much as you wanted to sit down you couldn't but Chopper reaches up and taps your hand "You've already done amazing Y/N, how about you just sit on the edge of the bath" Nodding you do as the doctor tells you and sit on the edge keeping your feet in the warm water, You felt stupid for being unable to relax but you tried your best while washing your legs with soap, Robin helped you while Nami sat back in the water trying to get your mind on something else. It worked for a while but when you looked back to the water Robin's face reflated in it but in your eyes it wasn't your friends face, with a gasp you quickly step out of the bath and way from the water earning concerned looks but soothing words of comfort. Chopper hopped off the edge of the bath making his way over to you as you pant trying to calm your rapid heart beating loudly in your chest "It's ok Y/N, you did great, we can leave the bath for now and just do your hair in the shower, if you want" Chopper calmly speaks while rubbing your leg, It takes you a few seconds to respond but you nod managing to compose yourself as Robin and Nami get out of the bath wrapping towels around themselves. You weren't scared of the sound of running water like Chopper thought which made things a lot easier, Nami washes your hair while Robin keeps you steady helping you lean back so the shower could wash away the shampoo. You panicked a little when some water got on your face while leaning back But Robin helped you through it and before you knew it you were all heading back to the changing rooms to get dressed and dry for tonight's feast.

could you tell me more about the postcanon p5 and p3 wip? 👀
ask game
this au is an excuse to make characters not a fucking cops and also make my own persona 6 (a rite of passage for any persona fic writer)
so basically, i think the phantom thieves polycule should get back together and then be recruited by mitsuru to join the new shadow ops. the shadow ops now are a private investigative agency apart from the police so they can get around some red tape that made it hard to do things like, say, get akira out of being questioned and beat the shit out of by the police.
so yeah now the phantom thieves are adults, akira was able to convince sojiro to let him run the cafe a few days a week. he does online classes and can't resist digging up dirt on shitty authorities and being like hey futaba check this out, mona helps him out with that. futaba is also doing online schooling and gets money from a mysterious source......
ann is doing modeling oversees at the time of the start of this, ryuji is in between track seasons and spends way too much time in leblanc (gayass), yusuke sells his art and also spends too much time in leblanc (gayass pt2), haru and makoto are on their honeymoon doing their thing in sapporo (makoto is becoming disillusioned with police work, haru has opened up her first cafe there and runs it).
basically mitsuru approaches akira and is like hey we want to make things better but laws suck but also we dont want to risk corruption can the PT be on an unofficial team for the shadow ops while also being allowed to do their own thing. by the time they accept a new cognitive world pops up on their radar, and thats where the ocs come in and things get complicated in a way i dont have energy to explain sorry.
so here read this also fuck cops
One day things will get better, has been the mantra that Makoto has been chanting since she was assigned to Sapporo. That, and, these things take time.
Her goal to become a police commissioner took a bit of a turn the more she went through college. But she was here now, working with the investigations unit at the Sapporo Police Department.
It… wasn’t what it seemed when she first joined. As the newbie, she’d been mostly shadowing under her boss so far, contributing to maybe one or two cases for a year. But it was fine, these things took time. She could change the system, but she just had to be patient.
It was a little hard to be patient, though, when her boss treated her like she was his personal servant.
Makoto filled up the coffee mug for the third time this evening, trying to suppress the scowl on her face. One of her colleagues in the unit, a nice man named Nagaki, walked in the room.
She remembered the conversation they had the other day, when she intervened with one of the officers in an interrogation room. Makoto had gotten in more trouble than the officer who was about to get violent, and the situation had shaken her.
Nagaki had kindly come up to her after the incident and told her she did a good thing. “But,” he said quietly, “Good things aren’t appreciated around here. Not without status.”
“Can I be honest with you?” She had said, still reeling from her reprimand. “I joined the police to change things. My dad was an officer, he was kind, and I was hoping to make the system more like him.”
“It’s a good goal to have, but it’s not going to happen if you’re here.” He scoffed, bitter. “Either quit or get fired.”
He’d walked off after that, ending the conversation before she could ask. But his words have been rattling in her head ever since. She couldn’t believe it. He’d been in this line of work far longer than her, but she felt she was different. She had to be different if things were going to change.
One day things will get better, but why did it feel like things were only getting worse?

Heartstrings P5 P1 P2 P3 P4 (NEXT CHAPTER P6)
"Okay, fine," Naoya defeatedly says. "You want it to go like this, then I guess it’s better for me to leave and forget about this than prolonging this entire fiasco."
He accepts your offer to leave the house. "I wanted to come over to mend things with you, maybe offer you some money to be quiet on this entire divorce issue. But I guess there’s no more 'us.'"
"'Us'?! There was never an 'us' in the first place! I felt as if I was a concubine that you kept in safekeeping! Please just leave, you’re already ruining my day. Don’t ruin my entire life," you assert, your voice trembling with a mixture of anger and hurt.
The smug look that he kept on his face only fueled your anger further. Why, WHY were you married to such a heartless person? The money and fame you received from Naoya were never worth it. In the end, they were nothing compared to the pain and heartache he caused you. You wished you could turn back time and undo the decision to marry him, to erase all traces of his influence from your life. But for now, all you could do was learn from your mistakes and move forward, determined to find true happiness and fulfillment on your own terms.
When Naoya left, you broke down. You were definitely not crying because you lost him, heavens no. You were crying because of the waste of time. The realization hit you hard – all those years spent in a loveless marriage, all the sacrifices made for the sake of appearances, all for nothing. It was a bitter pill to swallow, leaving you feeling hollow and empty inside. But amidst the tears and despair, a glimmer of hope flickered – Satoru, who was always standing right beside you.
“Hey, you okay?” Satoru asked with his hand on your back, making sure you were feeling better.
You wiped your face dry with your hands, trying to compose yourself. "Sure, I’m fine, it’s just a lot to take in. I don’t think my brain has registered it yet...it has been a few years with him...the torture, the betrayal," you admitted, your voice wavering with emotion. The weight of those years of suffering felt heavier than ever, but you knew that acknowledging the pain was the first step towards healing and moving forward.
"The y/n that I knew from high school would’ve kicked him then sent him to cry to his mother. That’s the y/n I like," Satoru remarked, a hint of admiration in his voice. His words brought a faint smile to your lips, reminding you of the strength and resilience you once possessed.
Deep down, you knew that reclaiming that assertive and confident version of yourself was the key to overcoming the pain and moving forward with your life.
"I’m still like that Toru, just…all of this is new to me. I’m also very young and without the guidance from elders, I get lost sometimes,” you confessed, your voice tinged with vulnerability. It was a rare glimpse into your inner struggles, and Satoru couldn't help but feel a pang of empathy for you. Despite your confident exterior, you were still navigating the complexities of life, just like everyone else.
Satoru hugged you from the side. “I’ll take you on shopping sprees, going to new cafes, concerts. Maybe I don't understand how you're feeling but I know how deeply he must have hurt you. Just trying to be a good friend," he promised, his voice warm with sincerity. The gesture was simple, yet it held the promise of brighter days ahead, filled with laughter, friendship, and new experiences. In that moment, you felt a glimmer of hope wash over you, grateful for Satoru's unwavering support and companionship.
"Thank you, Toru. I always knew you were an everlasting friend since the day I met you,” you confessed, feeling the stirrings of feelings in your heart once again. It wasn't just gratitude you felt, but also the beginnings of something more, a flutter of emotions that made your heart skip a beat and your cheeks flush with warmth.
It was already the last time Naoya would bug you and it was bittersweet for you, bad memories overweighing the good.
Tumblr media
As the sun rose on a new day, you felt a renewed sense of purpose coursing through your veins. With Naoya out of the picture, you were determined to seize control of your destiny and pursue your passion for cooking with unwavering dedication. It was your first day at work in the chef’s restaurant, Sakae Yakimura. You felt excited and nervous at the same time. It was your chance to prove to yourself and others about your ability in the culinary world, to showcase your skills and abilities and creativity to a wider audience. Donning the chef’s hat and greeting your fellow colleagues for the first time made you feel giddy.
You took a moment to soak in the sights and sounds of the kitchen. The clang of pots and pans, the sizzle of ingredients hitting the hot grill, the tantalizing aroma of herbs and spices filling the air – it was like music to your ears.
With a deep breath, after getting instructions from the head chef you dove headfirst into work, channeling all your energy and focus into each dish you prepared. From chopping vegetables to seasoning meats with finesse, you moved with a grace and confidence that belied your years of experience.
Throughout the busy lunch service, your passion for cooking shone brightly, earning her praise from both customers and colleagues alike. Your final touches on dishes were a symphony of flavors, each one carefully crafted to delight the palate and leave a lasting impression.
But amidst the hustle and bustle of the kitchen, you couldn't shake the feeling of someone watching her from afar. Glancing around, your eyes met Satoru's across the crowded dining area, a proud smile playing on his lips. It was a silent gesture of encouragement and support, reminding you that you were not alone through this journey.
As the day drew to a close and the last of the dinner service came to an end, You found yourself reflecting on the events of the day with a sense of satisfaction and fulfillment. Despite the challenges that lay ahead in this new job, you knew where exactly where you’re meant to be – pursuing your passion for cooking with all your heart and soul.
With a newfound sense of confidence and determination, you looked towards the future with optimism, ready to embrace whatever culinary adventures lay in store. For you, this was only the beginning of a journey filled with endless possibilities and delicious discoveries.
While you were finishing up your shift, Satoru approached you with a warm smile. "You did amazing today, y/n. Your passion for cooking truly shines through in every dish you create, I would know." he said in front of other customers that made you blush.
Your heart swelled with gratitude at his words. "Thank you, Satoru. I couldn't have done it without your support and setting up the meeting with the chef."
Satoru's smile widened. "Speaking of support, I was wondering if you'd like to stay with me at my house while you work here. It's closer to the restaurant, and it would be nice to have some company, its been getting lonely staying alone."
Your eyes widened in surprise at the unexpected offer. "Are you sure, Satoru? I don't want to impose," you replied, voice tinged with uncertainty.
Satoru shook his head. "It's no imposition at all. Besides, it would be nice to have a fellow food enthusiast under the same roof. What do you say?"
A feeling of warmth spread through your chest as you looked into Satoru's earnest eyes. Despite your initial doubts, you couldn't deny the allure of the offer.
"Alright, Satoru. I'd love to stay with you," you replied, a smile tugging at the corners of your lips. In that moment, you knew that this was the beginning of a new chapter in your life.
Tumblr media
On the day of the move came, you felt a flutter of anticipation in your chest. You spent the morning carefully packing your belongings into boxes, each item a reminder of the life that you have left behind. The people that tormented you and how it felt like being born again in a new house feels.
Satoru had offered to help you with the move, and as you heard the familiar sound of his car pulling up outside, you knew that the time had come to begin this new chapter of your life.
With a final glance around your now-empty apartment, memories of the past, you took a deep breath and stepped out into the hallway, where Satoru was waiting for you with a warm smile.
"Ready to go?" he asked, offering you one of his reassuring smiles.
You nodded, feeling a surge of gratitude for his support. Together, the both of you loaded boxes into the trunk of Satoru's car, the heavy weight of your past.
As he drove to his house which is your new home, you couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement within you. This wasn't just a move; it was a fresh start, an opportunity to leave behind the pain of your past and embrace a brighter future with a new housemate; the honored one.
Arriving at Satoru's house, you were warmly welcomed by a few of his maids and chauffeurs, ready to greet their master.
"Welcome to my home y/n, or I should say, our home." Satoru said, his voice filled with genuine warmth. "I'm so glad you're here."
It already felt like a place where she belonged, a sanctuary where she could heal and grow. Approaching the room he spared for you, you gawked. The room was beautifully decorated with polaroid photos from the old days close to the bed, fairy lights hanging above the bed, a closet big enough for a person to live in and more.
“Wait! We haven’t talked about how much I need to pay for rent each month, Toru..and I think I can do some of the chores for you as well. How does Friday nights sound?” you realised that you haven’t discussed how much you have to pay him.
Satoru shook his head, "You don't have to pay me anything, don't sweat it. "But.." he stopped.
"Promise me that you'll make desserts for me, okay?" he said while smiling with his eyes. Always making you chuckle, always putting a smile on your face. That's Satoru.
Tumblr media
As the both of you spent more time together, Satoru's friendship with you deepened, blossoming into something even more meaningful. With each passing day, you felt that you've drawn closer to him, like how a person reads a fairytale.
Moving in with Satoru was the best decision you had ever made. In his house, surrounded by love and warmth, you've finally felt relieved, finding a place where you can be yourself without judgement from others.
In the modern advanced kitchen of Satoru's house, you busied yourself with the comforting ritual of baking. The sweet smells filling the air, mingling with the scent of coffee that Satoru had just brewed. This kitchen was quickly becoming your sanctuary, a place where you could pour your heart into your passion for cooking. A place where you had always feel serene.
Satoru entered the kitchen, drawn by the delicious smells. “Ooh! What are you making~? Any for me~?” he asked, leaning against the counter with curious smile.
Glancing up at his flawless face you smiled as you continue to mix the batter for another one of your creations. A chouquette! "This is another French classic, puff pastry, almond paste and of course, some sugar. I'm trying to master all the French pastries so that maybe one day I can open my own shop," you grinned.
He chuckled, watching you with an adoring gaze. “I’m sure you will. Everything you make is incredible.”
Your heart fluttered at his compliment, and you felt a warmth spreading through you , “Thanks, Toru. I’m glad you think so.”
As you sifted flour and measured out sugar, you felt a deep sense of contentment. The simple act of baking felt like a form of therapy, helping you to leave behind the lingering shadows of your past.
"Toru, can you pass me the sugar? I wouldn't know where it is, considering your kitchen is the size of my previous house!" you ask for his assistance, reminiscing the time where he helped you make the kikufuku in your kitchen which was miniscule compared to his.
As the pastries baked, you and Satoru chatted about everything, the conversation flowing easily. Your mind was no longer in torment! It was moments like these that made you grateful for this new chapter in your life. The pain and heartbreak of the past seemed to fade a little more with each passing day, replaced by the joy of simple, everyday moments. When the pastries were finally done, you carefully took them out of the oven, their golden-brown tops promising a delicious treat. Satoru couldn’t wait to try them, and his eyes lit up as he took his first bite. “These are amazing as always!” he exclaimed, savoring how soft, light and airy the puffs were.
"That's what you say about everything I bake or make, Toru. Cut me some slack, its going to be hard to impress you in the future," you teased, smiling at his enthusiasm.
Seeing his enjoyment, you felt a surge of pride and happiness. This was what you loved most about cooking—bringing joy to others through your creations. And with Satoru by your side, encouraging and appreciating you, the future looked brighter than ever.

Rules Of One's Soul Ch15 A Little Offer P5
Tumblr media
The entirety of the cliffside home was oddly silent other than the furious sounds of scrubbing coming from the other side of the sheap. The outside had gotten slightly darker indicating it mustve been early night at least. The residents were sure feeling it. Seam especially as he relaxed back down into the old armchair, normally he hated water but after getting blasted by ashes he was happy to scrub it off. Took a while for his fur to dry though. Luckily no stitches came loose this time. As for Jevil and Rouxls-
The small gremlin was balancing on his tail watching the working worm with a crestfallen face. Seam could only shake his head and couldn't help but feel sorry for the poor fella. True his uh ....'help' had backfired but considering he was pretty rusty from being locked up for over one hundred years of his life, one couldn't judge him too harshly....Buuuut Rouxls wasn't one to let go easily. It had been proven before.
"Can I help, help?" Jevil gave a hopeful smile to the cleaning worm, who paused for a split second before harshly dunking the sponge he was using into a nearby bucket filled with sudsy water and continued as if he hadn't heard a thing. Making the foolishly hopeful smile from his face vanish a bit, but ever persistent, his tail leaned him forward to be closer to the worm's side where he tried seeing his face. "You shouldn't have to work, work so hard. Im sorry, sorry. So allow me to he-"
A quick snap of a heated glare from the duke silenced the jester into submission, his smile now silently small and he froze at the hatred radiating off him. It got smaller when Rouxls leaned onto his knees. Usually hed tower over Jevil but his current sitting position made for perfect eye level.
"Oh. THOU art sorry." A dry chuckle came from that angry being. "Good. For I amst sorry as well....Im sorry for ever letting mine guard down aground thee!"
Jevil flinched. Hard. And Seam continued to watch calmly from the comfort of the chair, but Kaard didnt care as he already turned his frustrations back to scrubbing the black blotches.
"Im sorry I ever met thee. Im sorry I canst be there for mine boy- He can't even sleep properly without a story let alone runneth an entire kingdom by himself. Imst stucketh cleaning homes likest some maid just to get decent food and all for what? For a smiling foolish worme to come crashing into thine-"
....He froze.....Something gently kneeding his shoulder...
"DON'T TOUCHE ME YOU PLAUGE ON MINE LIFE!!"
The tail that been holding up shot back the shocked body of the imp as a worm reared his full anger towards him for trying to put a hand on his shoulder.
"Why dont'st you doeth what thou doeseth best and playest games elsewhere?!"
With that the duke snapped back around to the floor ignoring any other sad look Jevil gave him. The jester slunk back even further from the duke- An ear perked at a soft chuckle he turned and found it came from the plush cat away from him.
"Your next play has been interesting to say the least. Are you ready to accept defeat old friend?" His smile widened as the small man pouted and promptly huffed at the audacity of the question.
"Absolutely not, not. I just-" Yellow orbs glanced back shakily to the worm for a split moment before back to the smiling cat. "...Need a new move, move to play."
He chuckled again. "Then may I offer some advice-"
"I can heareth everything thou art saying." Another annoyed glance was thrown over his shoulder.
A paw was held up in defence. "Now, now. I meant no harm but maybe its best Jevil leaves you alone right now."
The smaller man Took one last look to the worm before slowly starting towards the smiling cat. Seam ever so calm reached out and gave the sulking gremlin a pitty pat on the shoulder.
"I dont suppose you would like some tea to help ease the sting of rejection?"
A dark chuckle and smile. "The taste is bittersweet. But I would rather get sweet victory, victory.~"
Deep chuckles came from the cat as his one good eye watched the jester jump onto the couch next to himself, but somehow his forced frustrated grin still seemed to be sad there. It sorta made his cotton shiver with a pang of sorrow, but in a game it was best not to let his guard down too much. Jevil sat down on the couch next to Mak, who was fast asleep in a box filled with different things from gems to random jewelry they probably stole. Took forever to get them to calm down after finding their 'room' ransacked and cleaned out by Rouxls. The purple migit made his frustrated ways known with tapping fingers and strained grin directly towards him in question.
"I just...have a few set backs. Set backs."
"Oh yes. I remember how fondly old couples would chase each other with screams and try to bodily harm one another." He chuckled at the narrowed eyes Jevil have him. "Or maybe not. It's been at least a few hundred years. Hahaha."
"Funny,funny....What have you done, done to get expertise in other's romantical preference?," his voice asked in a low tone. A Jevil way of challenging his knowledge.
To which he shrugged. "I don't. But Id like to think I have enough know how to at least hold a decent conversation and get to know them more."
He could practically hear the gears working in the other's mind as Jevil slowly came to the realization that maybe, just maybe he had something up his sleeve. So when a more questioning look came over him, Seam couldn't help but chuckle.
"Really,really?...Would the Magnificent Seam be willing, willing to....discuss his tutorials? Tutorials.
"Haha. But then wouldn't that be cheating the game old friend?"
One of Jevil's eyelids twitched. Indicating held back annoyance at least. "Hmhm....Perhaps rules could be ...temporary bent, bent?"
It was more of a suggestion than question, but one that made Seam hum with interest anyways. His eye went back to the worm who was stretching his back out with a groan and popping noise from said worm's back. He looked about ready to get done and be one his way. Could it really hurt to exchange a few short insights of his? Jevil waited with hopeful patience as Seam rubbed his chin in thought before looking back to him with a smile.
"I suppose...haha. Two opponents of opposite sides could come to an agreement every so while still searching for victory."
A couple of giggles came his way as Jevil lit back up. "Do tell. Do tell."
"Well....I could but I think you already know he doesn't appreciate forceful attempts to get him to like someone...But how you're doing things I could be wrong."
"...And I could say, say the same about having to be forced to clean a mess, mess that's not his. ..His."
"Not if the person offered to help him in return and was happily offered to go as a ...guest for the holidays."
There it was. The straw that broke the hathys back. The jester became as still as a statue as soon as those few words tumbled out of the plush's mouth, it was honestly rather funny to see such a rare shock upon the normally cheerful face, unfortunately it didn't last long because rapid blinks followed shortly after and a forced pleasent chuckle escaped his throat.
"My dear friend, friend," Jevil said in a forced sweet voice. "It seems that my ears are not what they used to be, be. I thought for a moment you said-"
"That I will be accompanying the Duke to the this silly ball?" Jevils face dropping again made him chuckle and lean into the chair's cushions more. "I suppose it's not that big of a deal...But then again." Even if it seemed unreal, a smug look came over the cat. "You might not like my play on words, Old friend. Hahaha."
In that stuper the imp could only get out one word. "How...?"
"I offered to help take care of you. It seems you've outdone yourself with the romanticizing eh?"
He went from shocked to an angry little man complete with puffed cheeks and red eyes. If you didn't know Jevil personally it would be quite scary but to the laughing cat it was just like a small tired child. It was cuter when he suddenly stood up and stomped a foot onto the couch. Jarring the sleeping child awake and jingling the box they were sleeping in. Seam didnt even flinch when a claw was pointed at him .
"No far, no far! You cheated, cheated!"
"By nicely asking if I could go? Really Jevil. You're acting like a child who didn't get the cookie jar."
A growl. "You can't keep me away, away! "
"Who said I would? I only said I would try to help keep your wild self in check and I intend to do so. ...By giving you advice. " when Jevil didnt say anything he continued. "Try a less forceful approuch next time round. "
".....Next time?" It seemed he found his voice. Jevil could always rebound pretty fast. "My next turn will leave your head spinning, spinning!"
"Oh Im sure it will." Still with the smug grin.
"You'll see, you'll see!!"
With that he sprung himself off of the couch and with furious jingles made his way back to the back room. Oh this was surely was going to be worth watching. A slighy jingling of trinkets ditected his attention back towards the box where the child was looking at him.
"Breakfast time now?"
......................................................................................
Scrubbing sounds was the most of what he heard as he kept up the cleaning momentum. He wanted to get done, collect his earnings, and get out of that chaotic hell of a home. The set back had made him take a whole couple more hours to fix, it was already probably in the middle of the night by how slightly darker it was outside. But luckily he was nearly finished. Just a part of the ceiling left-
The mop was promptly dunked back into the bucket and pulled out a moment later before being thrusted back up against the ceiling and rubbed against the black ashes remaining stuck to it. The anger was still burning in his mind but he couldn't careless. ....Unfortunately it blinded him to what would've been the soft jingling of bells coming up to him until he felt a tug on his sleeves. The scrubbing stopped and looked down to the small mass that was Jevil. Giving him a small smile-
"What doth thou want?"
The harsh tone made him flinch slightly but that didn't deter his new set of confidence. "Ive come to apologize, apologize for everything that's happened."
An anoyed but slightly confused expression came over him as Rouxls rose a brow. His attention turning back to scrubbing. "Oh lucky me... And what doth I owest thy pleasure?"
He didnt see the inhale of breath Jevil took. "I want you to forgive, forgive me. Let us start over, over. Please. Let me make up, make up!"
That made the worm pause his movenents and look back down to the hopeful face of the imp who smiled wider at him. Rouxls blinked....And blinked again. .. Before another annoyed look came over him.
"Really? I amst supposed to forget everythinge that has happened?" Jevils ears drooped slightly as Rouxls huffed. "Likest I wouldst do that- EEK!"
The mop fell to the floor with a thump and water spilt onto the floor. Rouxls scrambled back from the sudden flashing of pink in front of his face, in his hast knocking over the mop bucket and almost falling over onto his rear. Jevil admittedly was pretty startled from sudden reaction as well and just stood there. A couple shiny pink heart attacks floating above him at Rouxls's eye level.
He blinked upwards at the heavy form of the Duke in front of him-
"ART THOU TRYING TO GIVETH MINESELF A SOUL ATTACK?!" He pointed at the hearts. "I will nay f-forgiveth thou for doing that! Now...g-getest rid of them!"
Jevil did. Immediately. "Im sorry, sorry-"
"Stoppeth it! Just stoppeth apologizing." The worm pushed himself up from the wall as gave Jevil another annoyed look. "If thou was really 'sorry' thoust wouldst try harder and use that head of yours."
Jevil said nothing as Rouxls turned around to look at the new mess with a disgusted look, but he did hum and make a thoughtful expression a moment later. He might have mumbled something like 'Try harder, harder?' but Rouxls wasn't paying much attention so he barely heard. But he did see him back out of the room from the corner of his eye. Good. Now he could get done
He looked back down at the spilt water, wondering how he would get that cleaned up-...Wait. A pair of rapid footsteps came towards him, along with a small...battle cry. He barely had time to turn around before a purple blur slammed hard into his chest. They went to the ground like a sack of gems wind knocked out.
"WHONST THY F*CKETH-"
"FORGIVE ME!" A pair of yellow eyes stared intensely from his chest.
"WHA-" The smaller body of the darkner squeezed around his form face pouting against his chest. Rouxls struggled but managed to sit back up with the imp digging into him. "Absolutely not!"
His hands grabbed onto him and pulled. Hard. But Jevils limbs dug harder around him resulting in a panic running up the worm's spine and pulling harder on him. The digits digging into his goopy body was starting to hurt.
"Im not letting go, go until you let me,me make it up to you! You!"
"Thou art bluffing!" By now he was disparately wanting to get this thing off of him! He couldn't stand the way his soul was thumping against his ribcage- "T-Thou cant do this!"
"I CAN DO ANYTHING!"
Of course. What answer would he expect? He sat there and stared dumbfounded at him but considering that he was still clinging to him tighter than Lancer, and that pouting face was.....kinda cute.....UGH!!
"Fine!Fine! Thou can getteth off me now!"
He narrowed his eyes. "You give me your word, word?"
"Y-Yes. Now please-"
After a few more moments of looking at him suspiciously but slowly let Rouxls go. The worm man shakily stood up onto his feet while remaining eye contact with Jevil who seemed alot more satisfied and happy he finally got his way.
"Splendid, splendid! Hehehehehe! Im so excited, excited to hear that! I promise, promise to make you happy, happy!"
"I doubt that..."
But Jevil didn't seem to hear Rouxls mumbling to himself as he proudly skittered to the exit to the shop front. There he stood proudly and pointed a claw at the ever so calm Seam.
"One step closer,closer to checkmate!"

Honestly personally Akira omo And Yusuke omo are both equally important so having focus on both is great. What if Akira was the one who got desperate for once during Mementos and Yusuke’s the only one who’s been through this enough at that point to figure out what’s wrong?
So, this is my second attempt at writing this. Initially, Iwas going to have the entire group on this Mementos trip (including Akechi!),but I am absolutely not used to writing that many characters together, andthings very quickly got away from me to the point that I’d just throw in a lineevery once in awhile about Akira’s suffering and then go right back to dialoguebetween other characters. So here’s attempt two, this time with significantlyless people involved.
This was after Yusuke joined the Thieves but before Makotojoined. Please forgive me any minor errors in regards to Mementos, since it’sbeen a good year since I’ve played this game and it would take me forever tolook up tiny details when we all know we’re just here for the omo anyway, soyeah.
(Also I may have made Morgana a bit moreannoying/antagonistic than he truly is in the game, but I needed someone toplay that role since I no longer had Akechi to do it, and Morgana was the onlyone out of the original Thieves who I could picture not immediately doingeverything they could to help a suffering Akira. (Also, tbh, Morgana is myleast favorite thief (sorry not sorry) so he gets to be mean in this one.)
Somehow, when Akira had woken up that morning, he hadn’tpictured the current situation to be what he would face later that day. He’dexpected this to be a normal day: Wake up, go to school, work a few hours atthe flower shop, come home and work a few more hours at Leblanc, make a fewlockpicks, then go to bed only to wake up and do it all again the next day. Animpromptu visit to Mementos wasn’t abnormal per se, but being dragged off byAnn and Ryuji the moment school ended to meet up with Yusuke wasn’t.
Yusuke himself was a new variable, the group still not quitesure what to make of him. He had proven himself loyal – not to mention atalented fighter – when they had stolen Madarame’s treasure, but beyond that, they hadn’t had much demonstration of his abilities. Ann and Morgana stillseemed a little wary of him thanks to the whole “nude portrait” debacle, evenafter he had proven that he wasn’t so much a creep as extremely awkward.
His current predicament wasn’t Yusuke’s fault, though. Neitherwas it Ryuji’s, Ann’s, or Morgana’s. No, Akira was well aware that no one buthimself was to blame for the distracting pressure in his lower abdomen. He wasat fault that every bump Morgana drove over, every shadow he hit, every abruptstop he made was making the ache of his bladder sharper and stronger.
Honestly, Akira was a bit surprised this was the first timehe’d found himself desperate in Mementos, or even a Palace. His revulsion whenit came to public bathrooms had been something he’d been dealing with since hewas a kid, and desperate situations really did come with the territory. Hesupposed now, with so much on the line, he was able to push aside his disgustat a public bathroom for the sake of knowing distractions could be the literaldifference between life and death in that other world.
All those other times though, there had been more of a plan. Akira had been able to carefully monitor his drink intake as comparedto what bathrooms were reasonably clean and which ones were to be avoided atall costs. Today though… Today, Ryuji and Ann had all but jumped him when hewas packing up his books, and once they were at the train station, Yusuke hadseemed so eager to get started that Akira hadn’t spared a second thought forhis bladder.
Ryuji and Ann were chatting quietly in the backseat of theMorgana Bus as Yusuke sat in the passenger seat. Akira was putting on a farceof driving the bus while Morgana really did most of the work.
“How far does Mementos go?” Yusuke asked suddenly, staring outthe window rather than looking at Akira.
“Don’t know,” Akira said, happy for the distraction from hiscurrent plight. “It blocks us from going deeper at certain points.”
“Mementos itself blocks you?”
“We think so. It doesn’t seem like there’s any one personcontrolling it.”
“Mementos truly is alive…”
The conversation was abruptly cut off by Morgana slammingheadfirst into a shadow, the smoky black figure exploding immediately into agroup of four Pixies.
“Let’s go!” Ryuji called, leaping from the bus. Yusuke andAnn followed close behind, but Akira had to take a moment while their backswere turned to take a deep breath, pressing a hand lightly to his stomach tofeel the bulge of his bladder, thankfully well hidden by his clothing.
“Joker? What’s the hold up?” Morgana’s voice seemed to comefrom all around him.
“Everything’s fine, Mona. I’m just a little tired.”
“I keep telling you about the importance of a good night’ssleep, but do you ever listen?”
Grumbling, Akira chose to ignore Morgana for the moment andinstead stumble out of the bus and toward the rest of the Thieves.
“What’s the plan?” Ann asked him once he had joined thegroup surrounding the Pixies.
“They’re weak to… umm…” Akira wracked his brain. He hadthis persona. Pixie had been one of the first he’d been able to control, butevery throb of his bladder scrambled his thoughts further until nothing was inhis mind other than pain discomfort need to pee now.
“Ice,” Yusuke piped up. “My attacks did quite well againstthe Pixies we fought up a few floors. May I?”
“Yeah, knock yourself out,” Akira breathed, trying to keephimself from bouncing on his heels in too suspicious of a manner.
Just like that, a few well-aimed Bufu attacks eliminatedthree of the Pixies. Unfortunately, the fourth one was a bit more crafty thanher friends, and dodged Yusuke’s final attack. She took the group’s moment ofsurprise to her advantage, sending a bolt of lightning right for Akira.
The attack itself really shouldn’t have taken Akira down, what with Hua-Po the last persona he had used. The shock of the attack thoughzinged right through him and straight to his bladder, shaking the organ, liquidsloshing like the ocean in a storm. Akira fell to his knees, gripping the hilt of his swordlike his life depended on it as the tip of the blade pressed into the ground acted asthe only thing keeping him upright.
“Joker!” Ann was already running toward him while the twoboys were giving each other panicked looks.
“I’m fine! The shadow…”
A single shot from Ryuji’s gun was enough to take out thefinal Pixie, and the ringing in Akira’s ears from the gunshot hadn’t even fadedby the time he was  surrounded by the rest of the group.
“What happened?!”
“Where are you hurt?”
“Those Pixies weren’t that strong. How did she knock you down…?”
“Fox! Show some compassion!”
“No, he’s right. She took me by surprise, and I should’vebeen ready,” Akira said, using the strength of his sword to push himself backto his shaking legs.
“Maybe we should head home for the day,” Ann suggested.
“We can’t give up now! We have to be getting close to thenext barrier!” Morgana chipped in, having changed back to his cat form.
“How would you feel if our leader got knocked out becauseyou were too stubborn to turn back, huh?” Ryuji growled.
“You’re underestimating Joker! He’s more than strong enoughto keep going, unlike you, Skull. Weakling.”
“You’re one to talk, you dumb cat!”
“Would you two be quiet?!” Ann shouted. Her voice echoedthrough the twisted hallways in the silence that followed, and she let thisghost of her words die out before continuing. “Now. How about instead of this bickering, we let Joker tell us whether or not he’d like to continue.”
Akira looked over the group of his friends as all of themlooked expectantly back. He took a moment to desperately hope that his cloakwas enough to cover the trembling of his legs, the bulge of his abdomen overhis waistband, the tenseness of his thighs as he pressed them together fromgroin to knees.
“A-Are we really close to the next stopping point?” he askedMorgana.
“We must be with how many floors we’ve traveled today!”
“Okay. Let’s go a few more floors.”
“Can we compromise? Maybe if we haven’t reached the stoppingpoint after three more floors, we can go home for the day. It is getting quitelate, after all,” Yusuke said.
“Why stop then when we’re so close?” Morgana insisted.
“I think Fox is right.”
“Me too.”
“Popular vote agrees with me,” Yusuke said.
“This isn’t a democracy! Joker, it’s up to you again,”Morgana said, crossing his arms over his chest.
“It’s a good compromise.”
“Fine!” Morgana threw his paws in the air before morphingback into his bus form. “Get in, then.”
Giving each other annoyed looks, Ann and Ryuji startedclimbing onto the bus. Yusuke, however, hung back.
Akira was shaking, fists clenched at his sides to keep themfrom grabbing at himself. His bladder was still throbbing, and he doubted itwould stop anytime soon, but he had an end in sight. Three more floors, thenthey could leave. Of course, that would mean they’d have to go back up thosethree floors, plus the four they had already traversed, and who knew how longthat would take with all the shadows they might encounter on the way? Shakinghis head, Akira pushed those thoughts away. Stay positive. I’ll get reliefsoon. It’ll be fine.
Akira took a careful step forward and Yusuke, who had beenstanding silently at his side, matched his stride.
“Akira,” he said carefully.
“Joker,” Akira reminded him.
“My apologies. I’m still new to this,” Yusuke said. Hesquinted at Akira a moment before taking a breath to continue. “Do you need thetoilet?”
Akira’s face all but burst into flames with the suddennessof the blood rushing to it.
“What gave you that idea?!”
“You’ve been shaking for awhile now, and you’ve never struckme as someone with weak muscles. Your steps are short because you’re keeping yourthighs together, and your entire body is tense. Like I said before as well, that Pixie’s attack should not have knocked you down, and it’s very rare – atleast from what I have observed thus far – for you to forget a weakness of ashadow you’ve seen before.”
“You’re craz—”
“In conclusion, you have to urinate. Quite badly, it seems.I don’t know why you sided with Mona in his wants to continue further, when therest of us understand that sometimes, we need to stop exploring early if it’sin the best interests of a friend.”
“Don’t be so clinical,” Akira mumbled, burying his stillburning face in his hands.
“I’m sorry. Would you like me to try again with more slangterms?”
Akira looked up, incredulous, only to see the smallest ofsmirks on Yusuke’s face, and had that been a joke?
“Look. You might be right, but it’s really not that bad,”Akira insisted, even as his bladder cramped in protest, forcing him to bendforward a bit and shift subtly back and forth.
“It looks that bad.”
“Well, it’s not. Just get on the bus.”
Yusuke followed his order with no further comments. Akirawalked around to the driver’s side, holding his breath and squeezinghis eyes shut as he separated his legs to step up into the bus.
That moment, however short it was, was just long enough ofhis thighs being apart to allow a few small drops of pee to escape his bladderand wet his underwear.
“Oh no,” he breathed. Morgana would never forgive him ifhe wet himself inside of him. And really, Akira wouldn’t blame him for thegrudge. “Mona, I—”
“Okay, let’s get moving! To the next floor!” Morganainterrupted, revving whatever served as the bus’s engine and accelerating. Cursingthe uneven ground of the endless hallways, Akira bit his lip. This wasn’tenough to keep sharp gasps from leaving him on each and every bump Morganadrove over, however, and no matter how tightly he crossed his legs, it wasn’tenough to keep from leaking with every bump either.
He could feel his bladder bouncing with the movements ofthe bus. He could feel all that liquid splashing up, then back down, pushingitself further out of him with every fall.
“Joker, you are very pale,” Yusuke remarked.
Ann and Ryuji immediately poked their faces up from thebackseat.
“Whoa, he’s right, man. Mona, if you don’t want somethingnasty inside this bus, you should probably stop.”
“What?! Get out if you’re going to be sick!” Morgana yelled.
“He can’t get out if you’re still movin’, you dumb cat!”
The Morgana bus screeched to a stop, throwing all four ofthe Thieves forward. No sooner had Morgana thrown all the doors open himselfwas Akira out of the bus and crouching on the floor of Mementos, hands buriedin his crotch as he tightened his tired muscles as much as he could, begginghis bladder to hold on, even as a steady stream of urine poured out of him.
“Oh my god!” Ann cried. “Something’s really wrong, isn’t it?What’s wrong?”
“It’s okay. I can help him,” Yusuke said.
“You? You barely know him!” Ann said.
“Panther, it’s okay. You and Skull stay in the bus.”
“What can I do?” Yusuke asked, crouching down to matchAkira’s current height.
“Okay, you were right, it’s really bad, I’m not sure I canhold it,” Akira hissed, refusing to look Yusuke in the face.
“Why don’t you go here?”
“With all of you watching? No.”
“Can you hold it long enough for us to get back to theentrance?”
“I don’t know,” Akira whispered, finally looking up atYusuke with wide eyes. “I really don’t know. I feel like I’m about to explode,oh god,” Akira whined as another spurt of liquid pushed out of him.
Yusuke’s full mouth was pressed into a straight line, hisbrow furrowed. “You’re going to have to try.”
“I know. I know I do. Oh, it hurts.”
“Come.” Yusuke started to stand, grabbing Akira’s arm as hewent and pulling him up as well. “Lean against me. You sit in the passengerseat so the steering wheel isn’t restricting your movement.”
Akira let himself be steered back to the bus and helped intohis seat. He could feel Ann’s and Ryuji’s eyes on him, but herefused to turn around. He knew they would understand, but he couldn’t helpfeeling that as their leader, he should never have allowed something like thisto happen. He should’ve been more diligent regarding his own schedule, moreaware of his needs before leaping into the shadow world.
“Unless you want a mess, I suggest we head home now, Mona,” Yusukesaid.
“Fine! But I hope you all realize we’re going to have tomake up all this lost time later!”
“Yeah, yeah, just drive, you mouthy cat,” Ryuji said.
It seemed even Morgana had finally caught on to theseriousness of the situation, since he didn’t bother responding to Ryuji’sinsult, instead accelerating and speeding along toward the upper floor.
“Avoid shadows if you can, please,” Ann said.
Morgana made a noise of agreement.
Akira sighed, leaning forward and pressing his foreheadagainst the dashboard. He allowed his body to act as a shield toward Ryuji andAnn, shoving his hands into his crotch for some much-needed pressure, and ohthat felt so much better, enough so that Akira couldn’t hold back a small moan.
“Joker, ya know that if you’re not feelin’ good, you canjust tell us and we don’t have to come to Mementos, right?”
“I felt … fine earlier,” Akira assured him.
“I apologize if I’m overstepping my place, but I think itmight be better for Joker if he doesn’t speak.”
“Yeah, sure, Fox. I get the hint,” Ryuji muttered.
“Be nice!” Ann hissed before the Thieves fell into silence.
As much as Akira appreciated Yusuke trying to look out forhim, he immediately missed the distraction of the others’ voices. Now he wasforced to put every ounce of brainpower into making sure his bladder didn’texplode.
It was barely a minute later when the bus stopped again.
“W-Why…” Akira said, clenching his teeth and tightening thehold he had on his groin to hold back the impending flood.
“Uhh…If he feels sick, should he get out of the bus and walkup the stairs?” Ann asked.
“I can’t…” Akira choked out quietly enough that he was sureYusuke was the only one able to hear him.
“Take the stairs slowly, Mona,” Yusuke ordered.
“You better be sure about this,” Morgana grumbled beforedoing what he was told, taking the stairs at a crawl.
It didn’t matter how slowly he took them – each step stillfelt like leaping over a mountain to Akira, and his bladder protested the wholeway. The drips of urine that were steadily leaving him grew into a strongerstream with every step. The swollen organ was so full, and Akira wasn’t sureif he’d be able to hold much longer. Not even that, but he wasn’t sure hewanted to try. He just wanted relief, from the pain, the pressure, theembarrassment, everything.
He ground his hips down against the chair, then up againsthis wrist, but nothing was giving him any sense of relief anymore. He doubted hisbladder could hold another drop of liquid if it tried, and the slow stream ofurine leaving him - even now that they were on level ground again - was proof of that.
All too soon, they had reached the next staircase, and panicovertook him. He wasn’t going to make it. Just the mere sight of the stairscaused his bladder to spontaneously squeeze, knowing the stress it was about togo through.
Blindly reaching to his side, Akira waved his hand until hewas met with the fabric of Yusuke’s shirt.
“Yusuke…help…me,” he whimpered.
“Stop, Mona!” Yusuke commanded. The abrupt stop was nearlyAkira’s undoing, but he managed to stumble from the vehicle without a moment tospare, waddling away from his friends even as his bladder was on the verge ofreleasing.
“Joker?” Ann called from behind him. Akira waved a frantichand toward them without turning around.
“Go, please. Wait at the top of the stairs, and we will meetyou in a few minutes,” Yusuke said calmly, and the volume of his voice toldAkira that he had followed Akira from the bus, and that was not what Akirahad been expecting.
“Yusuke, you too,” Akira pleaded once he’d heard the bumpingof the Morgana bus retreating up the stairs.
“I’m not leaving. What if a shadow comes?” Yusuke said, thetone of his voice somehow surprised and exasperated all at once.
“I don’t…You shouldn’t…”
“I won’t watch, but I’m not leaving you here.”
Fine. Fine. Yusuke was so damn stubborn, but Akira wouldfind time to be frustrated later, once his bladder was no longer filling hisentire abdomen. He pushed his pants and underwear out of the way and finallygave his bladder permission to let go.
The feeling of relief was bliss, pure and simple. If asked,Akira wouldn’t have been able to tell you how he managed to keep his footingwith how violently his legs were shaking at the intensity of the feeling, butsomehow he did. He tilted his head back, eyes closed, mouth gaping in a deepmoan.
He would find time later to be embarrassed at Yusukewitnessing this. Sure, his friend had promised to look away, but there sure wasplenty for him to hear, Akira realized with a wince. His moaning was onething, but the sheer volume of liquid within him was exiting in a thickstream and there was just so much. It felt as he’d been peeing for at leasta full minute before the stream began thinning, then dripping, then stoppingaltogether.
Eyes still closed, Akira yanked his pants back into placeand took a step backwards, grimacing at the squish of his shoes. He stoodstill for a moment, knees still knocking together as his legs trembled, pantinghard as he tried to catch his breath. The sharp pain of his full bladder was nomore, but it had promptly been replaced with a heavy ache brought on by anorgan that had been stretched past its capacity for far too long.
A gentle hand rested on his shoulder, and he let out a drysob.
“I won’t tell the others,” Yusuke assured him.
“I won’t be mad if you do tell. I don’t want you to lie formy sake.”
“It’s no trouble, such a small lie. Hopefully no one willask any questions that will force my hand.” With no warning, Yusuke reached outand gripped Akira’s chin, tilting his head from side to side. “You look betteralready. You must feel a lot better as well.”
“You have no idea…” Akira mumbled.
“I’m sure I have some idea.”
“What?”
“Let’s go, before the others begin to worry.”
“Probably too late for that. But hey, don’t avoid thequestion!” Akira took a step to follow Yusuke, but tripped over his own feet. Before his hands could break his fall, there were slender, yet strong, armssupporting him.
“I’ll help you.” Yusuke slung Akira’s right arm over hisshoulders and gripped the wrist, putting his own arm around Akira’s waist.
“You’re tired. You should save your energy in case we meetshadows we can’t avoid.”
“Yeah, whatever,” Akira grumped, understanding that hewasn’t going to get an explanation to that off-the-cuff comment of Yusuke’stoday.
They began their trek up the stairs, Yusuke half draggingAkira’s progressively limpening body.
“Here they are!”
“Oh good, we were just about to go looking for ya!”
“He’s fine. He feels much better, but if we could still makea hasty retreat and avoid as many shadows we can, I think it will benefit allof us,” Yusuke said.
“Sure thing! Everyone, get in!” Morgana called.
As soon as the bus was loaded up, Akira in the passengerseat again, Morgana set off. Akira rested his temple against the window, watching the hallways rush by as they drove until his eyes drifted shut.

------
The crimson-haired man ceased to look at you, as if it hurt to do so. Your lack of response discouraged him. How could it be otherwise? You had created a narrative where he was a cheater, believed in it, ended the relationship - all of this without him knowing; without him even doubting it. It was ironic enough that he who saw so clearly in the future, he who knew how to read people’s moves so easily was totally blind when it came to love. Or maybe had he tried to blind himself? To overlook the fact that you weren’t answering your phone anymore? To find excuses upon excuses for you? He had always been that type of person after all. As a big brother, as a “responsible” person, it was second nature to him to bottle up his feelings and to never lose composure. And even in this moment, he couldn’t tell you how much your actions hurt him.
But for once, he accepted the fact that he saw a future that you weren’t a part of. Deep down, he knew that by overlooking the signs and hints, he has also played a role in the downfall of your relationship.
He saw it too clearly: you weren’t his anymore. Just like when you excluded him from the decision making, choosing to put an end to your relationship on your own - you didn’t even have the courage to tell him that yourself. He had to do the same: fill in the gaps and read between the lines. He remained silent for a moment. He got up from his seat when he gave up on you saying anything.
He moved towards the door, ready to leave all your shared memories behind his back.
People don’t always get the closure they need in order to move on, he knew that too well.
“Katakuri,” you called for his name weakly. He didn’t know if it was his imagination or if you had really pronounced his name. He turned his head towards you, unimpressed.
Your heart was pounding hard in your chest. You knew that if you let him go now you would regret it forever. You knew that you had to tell him about everything. He deserved it, after all. It was hard to be the bad guy of the story. But you had been a bitch and you had to face the consequences of your behavior. Wasn’t that what being an adult meant?
“There is something else that I think you need to know,” He seemed interested now. He was listening to you without turning your way.
“I apologize for everything that I have done and I know that you will probably not forgive me and honestly, if I were in your shoes, I wouldn't either.” You took a deep breath before going on. “What I am going to say might be hard to hear, but I feel like you need to know it.”
You don’t know exactly how the rest followed, nor how you found the courage to tell him about everything. You didn’t get to any details, it would have been too cruel, but you told him what he needed to know.
“I am really sorry, but I think that it’s best for us to split up. My feelings have changed, I have caused enough damage as it is. I think that it’s better for both of us. I am really sorry I hurt you.”
You looked down and from this angle you couldn’t see his smile. It was bitter, the smile of someone that had seen all of this coming. And yet, he was relieved that you confided in him. It was the closure he needed after all. At least now, he could move on.
* * *
The cigarette trembled between your index and middle finger. Your head was clouded. It took too much effort to try and empty your head, to try not to think of what was going to happen. You had lost so much already and what you were going to lose was beyond repair. With every breath you took, you felt your stomach contract and your legs get weaker. It was one of those days when you wished you hadn't woken up. Despite all of this, a feeling of peace submerged you. Peace? Maybe because you had been honest to your ex, maybe because you were trying to be honest to yourself. What got you into this situation was your indecision after all. You didn’t want to hide anymore.
If you can’t see it, then it doesn’t exist. This mentality of yours had to change and you were going to change it tonight. It was the best opportunity, it had to happen, you had to grow. Maybe to some extent, your “romantic” failures weren’t all to blame on others, maybe you also played a role, maybe you weren’t ready yet. Didn’t Sabo say the same thing?
“I thought that you stopped a long time ago.”
A firm voice broke your trance. His hand snitched the cigarette from your lips before putting it out with the sole of his shoe.
“Hey!” You whined in protest, features softening when you were met with his dark eyes.
“I did quit. But I was stressed,” you tried to justify yourself. “I needed it.” You mumbled.
“Bullshit. You always have the choice.” He shrugged and took place next to you on the sidewalk.
Choices, decisions, you were already done with all of this. An awkward silence swallowed the atmosphere, but it seemed as if it was only awkward for you.
Now that you had nothing to do with your fingers and mouth, you started scratching at your wrist slightly - a nervous tic.
The ambience of the park offered you, however, a feeling of safety. The darkness hid your embarrassment. He was now sitting next to you and it was as if words deserted your mind. He didn’t want to pressure you, he didn’t say anything. Under the moonlight, his blond hair took on a silvery shade. He kept looking in front of him, hands in his pockets. Silence didn’t bother him, he knew that something was wrong, otherwise you wouldn’t have texted him to come to the park at around midnight.
Truth is, you couldn’t calm down, you felt like you had to come clear about this whole situation, you felt like you had to make a decision. You felt that if you let today pass, then you would find one hundred excuses and hide again.
It was now or never.
“Sabo,” you started.
“Y/N,” he mirrored your answer.
“I’m going to tell you something... But please don’t judge me, alright?”
“Have I ever judged you?” He arched an eyebrow, his eyes meeting yours, making you switch your gaze almost instantly.
“Well... You have... Like that time I used the microwave at your place…”
“Y/N, you microwaved a fork…” You fake pouted as you playfully punched his arm.
“Well, the fork was in the bowl and Ace was there and he didn’t say anything! Not my fault.”
“And you trusted Ace?” he smiled and held your wrist to stop you. “He’s a living disaster. You guys can’t do anything without me, huh?”
“Yeah, yeah. What would I do without my Mr. know-it-all of a best friend?” you laughed it off.
Best friend. That word reminded you of the reason why you contacted him so late. You coughed two times, trying to switch his attention to you. Laughing things off helped ease the atmosphere. You twirled a hair strand around your finger then started as if you were going to give a speech.
“Hey, I’m gonna try to... be decisive…”
“That’s some character development.”
“Sabo!”
“Sorry, couldn’t help myself,” he said with a sweet smile. You sighed and started bouncing your leg nervously.
“So If I called you tonight it’s not to have the pleasure of your company… and it’s not to rip you off your precious hours of sleep... It’s also not to... ”
Noticing that you were starting to diverge from the topic, he held your hand in his softly and gave you an encouraging look. Honestly speaking, he didn’t have much patience around others but he had loads of it with you.
“I called you for something else. And don’t you dare hang up on me next time! I want to have a serious conversation about…everything, about us, and most importantly about…” you sighed before continuing “About my ex situation.”
He took his hand off yours now that you seemed calmer. He was surprised by your willingness to talk about such matters. It was a pleasant surprise to him, it meant that you wanted to take things in hand, that you were growing.
“I’m listening to you.”
“I thought that it was only fair for you to know as well... that I fucked up pretty badly. I assumed that my ex cheated on me and as it turns out, he didn’t. I just learned it this evening so I feel very confused and bad. It’s a long story. It was just me, assuming things because I was scared and because I feared confrontation. Then everything happened so fast between you and me... I shouldn’t have... I feel very ashamed. For him, for you, for acting so immature.”
Your voice cracked and you couldn’t hold your tears any more. You looked down and started wiping your tears with both hands on your face. You didn’t want to cry in front of him because you had caused him pain as well. Sometimes not taking action is also an action and it has consequences.
You didn’t dare look at him, did he look disappointed? Did he stop loving you? After all, you didn’t even know the reason behind his love. Maybe he was “playing games” too as that anon suggested on Reddit. No, you couldn’t afford to assume things again now. You had to be honest, raw, vulnerable. You couldn’t see his reaction through your tears, but you felt his hand on the top of your head, gently bringing you towards him, resting your head on his shoulder.
“Wow, this really sucks.” You were surprised by his reaction, but the fact that it wasn’t one of disappointment as well as his easy-going demeanour released your stress. You started sobbing, shoulders shaking. He didn’t know how to react at first, but one thing he knew for sure: you came first, and he hated to see you cry.
“Shh... Here, here... It’s okay to cry... Let it all out...” He then continued “It’s going to turn out just fine. You can count on me, okay?”
“I was a really bad person. I should’ve acted differently. I should’ve at least told you... or Nami or someone... but I just... assumed things... I was so scared that you’d stop... that you’d stop being my... friend... And stop loving me…”
His grip tightened around your shoulder as he pressed you a bit closer to him. He offered you a warm smile as he spoke in the same light note.
“Well, whatever happened, happened. I don’t think that you are a bad person. You’re human and you made a mistake that you’re now aware of. I know that you had no ill intentions. At least you learned something, hm? And about me... Aren’t you underestimating me a bit?” He smiled in an attempt to lighten the mood. “Did you forget that I’m Luffy and Ace’s brother? I’m tough, you know.”
You were overwhelmed by his kindness, and this just made you realize that it wasn’t only about your feelings, you couldn’t count on everyone else to put up with you and clear up your mess.
“Sabo, you’re so kind.” Despite your mascara running under your eyes and you looking like a total mess, he found you incredibly beautiful. He felt proud, he knew how hard it was for you to go through all of this. He felt like it was worth it that he had loved you for this long, you were honest and strong, even if you weren’t aware of that strength, you had proven it in this moment.
“I’m not being kind.” He meant it; after all, his intentions weren’t all that innocent towards you, he had wanted you from the start. “I’m just being truthful, as your best friend.”
Maybe he wanted more, but he was content being your friend as well. Since for him everything needed time, he had no right to rush you.
Love is a matter of timing after all. Too fast and all of his subtle efforts would go to waste.
“About that... I mean... The “best friends” part...” He could easily see your chest heaving with your breath. Your heartbeat raising little by little until it was unbearable, your lower lip slightly trembling as you dreaded the weight of the words you were going to pronounce. He looked at you with genuine interest and curiosity; he laid off a bit, turning your way.
“I don’t think that we could act this way anymore...” You dug your nails into the palm of your hand nervously.
“I... told Katakuri about everything. I told him that I couldn’t be with him anymore because of how things have changed. I can’t be here and pretend that nothing happened when so much did…”
“Nothing has changed for me.” He said in a stable voice, trying to anticipate your reaction. Despite being sure of himself, of every step he had taken till now, he felt a hint of uncertainty, for this was a variable that he hadn’t taken into consideration.
“But everything changed for me, and I can’t ignore it. I can’t continue to play pretend... Of course it was convenient for me... And I didn’t wanna lose... Whatever it is that we have. But I didn’t realize that it had already changed. I can’t be your friend anymore, Sabo. Not like this. Not with these thoughts in mind. Not after…” Y our eyes flicked from his lips to his eyes and back. “After... everything we did.”
You didn’t give more reasons, but your eyes gave one hundred more.
We can’t be friends because I touched myself to the thought of you. Because I can’t help but think about being with you. Because I don’t stand the thought of you being with someone else. Because I love the way your arms fit around me. Because I love everything about you, from the way you say my name to these stupid blond eyelashes that reflect the light everytime you blink. And most importantly... because I love your way of loving me unconditionally.
As much as I want you...
As much as you want me back...
I can’t be with you, not now, because it would hurt me and hurt you even more, because I have to make a decision, because I can’t draw the line between love and lust and because I am afraid to wrong you in the way I was wronged.
But just for a moment, just for this time, you wanted to kiss him just one last time. You wanted to get intoxicated by that mint smell that you have grown addicted to. He looked at you as he drank your words, eyes reflecting the darkness of the sky. His piercing gaze seemed to understand your dilemma. Suddenly, the emptiness of the park felt too weighty and the air too heavy.
“Say something,” you pleaded, almost begging him to break the silence.
To words, he preferred actions. Before you even realized, he captured your lips into the kiss you were longing for. His hand was fast to encircle your back, pressing your upper body against his. Your fingers instinctively reached for the fabric of his shirt, tugging on it as to pull him closer. For him to kiss you so passionately, it only made you realize his burning desire for you. The more you kissed in an attempt to ease your craving, the hungrier you got for his lips, for his stupid minty taste. But it wasn’t nearly enough for you, the growing warmth and tingles created a desire that you were unable to appease yet. You pressed your legs together when his free hand gently rubbed your thigh. He kissed you deeply, almost willing you into giving up on your decision to give in to his embrace. He was indeed that good of a kisser, making you want to shift into his lap and have him inside of you. You whined at this thought growing more eager, tongue chasing his, teeth nibbling on his lips. But you eventually had to break the kiss, even when you prayed for the seconds to last for hours, it was bound to end. You took a moment to collect your breath again. His eyes were demanding, pupils dilated and greedy, yours were more modest, shifty.
“Looked like you were dying for it.”
He broke the silence, finger tracing your neck before lifting up your chin, making you lose composure as you looked into his deep gaze. It was too late to deny it, you were indeed dying for it. But instead of satiating you, that kiss felt like the promise of something forbidden. You only groaned meekly as an answer, feeling too weak to actively protest. You indulged in his embrace, resting your head in the crease of his neck. You breathed in his scent, even his hair smelled fresh like mint. As you took in a bigger gulp of air, you could inhale the subtleties of a thyme or violet underlying smell. What shampoo did he use? Another diverging thought that you discarded.
You closed your eyes. “Can we stay like this for a little longer?” you asked, and who was he to deny you so little? He revelled in your desperate need for his touch. He felt needed, wanted, but he knew that he shouldn’t get carried away, he knew that it wasn’t the right timing yet. So he just let you sink into his warmth. For now.
You peeled yourself off of him reluctantly. Your eyes avoided his. Nice progress ,he thought, but there was still need for improvement.
“I can’t be selfish, not anymore. I have to make a decision. I am sorry I can’t make up my mind yet.” Your voice cut through the silence, firm, yet not devoid of sensitivity.
You needed time, it was clear, but he was nothing if not patient with you. He was ready to settle for your friendship for now while he worked for your love, but he liked your idea more. He wasn’t one to push his emotions onto you, he was there to lead the dance, to toss a bottle into the sea. If good news came then good for him, if nothing came out then he had gambled and lost. But he wasn’t as detached and passive as things might have seemed, as he took multiple variables into consideration to place his best bet.
“Take all the time you need.” Not an ounce of annoyance was to be detected in his voice. It was steady, a rock that couldn’t be moved. He had what it took, he knew what he wanted and he was ready to wait for it because he had the deep belief that you were worth the wait.
“Why are you so patient? Don’t you think you’re too confident? Aren’t you scared? ” It was genuine curiosity, but you bit your tongue realizing that your words might’ve seemed cocky or doubting. His lips stretched into a roguish smile, making him devastatingly handsome. And here he was, a Sabo that you had encountered a few times between two eyelash beats. It was so destabilizing, the way he morphed into a totally different person from one second to another, giving you a strange feeling. It was something that you couldn’t fully place yet. He kept escaping from your grip while being totally still. He was like sand between your fingers and you were fascinated by the prospect of catching him.
“I thought that it was obvious, doll.” Here he goes again, calling you sweet names and raising the rhythm of your heartbeats. How did he make everything sound good? You would’ve scoffed at anyone else calling you ‘doll’, but that voice of his made it sound oh so appealing. Or maybe it was the seed of desire that he had planted in your core, that was now growing and blossoming, vines intertwining with your lungs.
He got closer again, black eyes scrutinizing yours.
“You can have all the time you need. What I want is simple, non-negotiable, immutable.”
At first he was startled; your ex appearing out of nowhere seemed like an inconvenience, but after giving it some thought, he realized that he was in luck. He didn’t have to make you choose, the choice was there for you to make.
“And what is it that you want?”
“You. But all of you.” He looked you up and down as he said this then got up. He wasn’t the type to settle for less. He wanted no compromises, no half-open doors, no half assed answers. If he wanted something then it was all of it, out of respect for you and for himself. Another reason was probably that he knew: the longer the chase, the bigger the prize.
He got up since he considered that the conversation was over now and it was also getting late. You looked at him, eyes wide open, cheeks aflame. His voice trailed off, cutting through the silence.
“No rush, I think that it’s better for you to focus on your exams for now. Will you manage without my help?” Another charming smile, shifting back to that playful Sabo you have always known. The mood felt less serious now.
“I think I’ll do just fine this time…” you smiled gently, following his lead.
“Good, then. Good night.” He put his hand on your head, softly ruffling your hair before turning back. He seemed a bit more distant now, like he was plunged into some deep reverie. You instinctively got up, looking intensely at his back slowly fading into the darkness. Before his silhouette got completely enveloped, you shouted.
“Sabo!”
He turned back instantly and you threw something in the air towards him. He was quick to catch it.
“I don’t think I need these anymore. Take them!”
He opened his hands, looking at the packet of menthol cigarettes and a blue lighter. He put it into his back pocket prior to giving you a proud smile. He then continued his way back home, leaving you behind. You felt both relieved because things had gotten a bit clearer, yet apprehensive since your feelings were still very much unclear. But maybe what you felt above all was exhaustion. You looked for a moment at your empty hands. Did you make the right choice? Whether it was good or bad, you couldn’t care less. At least you had acted true to yourself.

An old AU/Fic idea!
So, this ask from @wild-selenite-caffine actually reminded me that I haven't posted this yet so here it is: An old post-P5S idea!
tw: stalking, harassment, major character injury, death threats
Also, MAJOR P5S SPOILERS!
The concept is this: What if the secretary that supposedly killed themselves had a relative/family member that basically held a grudge against Zenkichi for participating in the coverup (for the murder of his wife). Basically, blaming him for the hell their family went through.
So, they end up stalking him whenever he's in Tokyo; gathering info, just following him around. Nothing huge at first since they don't exactly know who he is. Then they learn after Konoe and Owada get arrested which made the news. Perhaps there was a press conference that they secretly attended and Kaburagi answers some questions before crediting Zenkichi Hasegawa for his aid in the case. Bingo! That's what they needed! Zenkichi actually notices a figure with a hoodie obscuring their face among the crowd but decides not to stress about them for now, thinking that he was just seeing things. That was when the notes and letters start. Basically threats against him and sometimes just words like, "MURDERER" on them along with, "I HOPE THE PHANTOM THIEVES STEAL YOUR HEART OR WORSE!" "I HOPE YOU DIE LIKE YOUR WIFE DID!" He was bothered, but willing to ignore them at first but the last one? Good god did that rattle him severely. He still tries to keep a level head but the notes become more frequent and even somehow ended up at his own house! In Kyoto! And Akane? She starts to become aware too, especially with how stressed her dad seems lately. That and she snooped a bit out of concern and finds the notes he kept as potential evidence (in his own secret hideout maybe?):
"Dad? Is someone bothering you at all?"
"What do you mean?"
*She shows him what she found*
"Akane... Where did-"
"I'm sorry, I know I should've done that but... I just, I felt like something was wrong and... I don't want things to go back to when mom died..."
"Akane... They're all just petty threats and I'm just saving them for evidence. Probably for a restraining order at best..."
"Then why does it not reassure me in the slightest?"
Turns out, Akane had every right to be concerned. They step up their game a bit. Now there's dangerous packages added to the mix, one of which gets Zen hurt by a bundle of razors at work. Thankfully it was not a serious injury and he dismissed it as a nasty prank from a co-worker. But now it catches Kaburagi's attention as she expresses concern too. He still tries to keep calm though but gives her permission to investigate and maybe some protection if needed. He finally loses it though when Akane nearly gets hurt by a bundle of rusty nails left on his front door and then gets a message from an unknown number saying to check the PhanSite. He does (after being filled in on its purpose by the others and Akane) and pales to see a request made towards HIM. He feels sick as he reads the message attached to it saying that he needs to pay for ruining their life and taking away a loved one.
"What...?! Who in the-?!"
He gets in touch with everyone via video chat and that's when he fully breaks down from all the stress that's been building up.
"Please... Help us! I don't want to end up nearly losing the only family I have left again!"
Futaba gets in touch with Mishima who proceeds to delete the request after she pleads that Zenkichi is genuinely a good person despite everything. This pisses the stalker off and feeling that the PTs "failed" them decides to take "justice" into their own hands. They plan accordingly, keeping an eye on his activities and routine while he, Kaburagi, and the PTs try to figure it all out with Akane growing more worried. Especially when someone has been watching her streams and leaving disturbing comments. Especially about her dad. One day, Zenkichi had to work late and gets a call from Akane, who immediately tells him to come straight home right after work. He notices how anxious she sounds and tries to reassure her again. She just responds that he comes home and that she also wants to talk to him. He's concerned now but agrees and they end the conversation there. It's late and dark out by the time he leaves and while walking to the train station, he hears a noise and starts to ready himself. He hears the noise get louder before turning around and pinning the assailant to the ground, knife sliding away. He questions them, having concluded that this was the person that threatened him and, by extension, his family only to be knocked off of them and a struggle starts as he tries to keep them away from the knife. But sadly, they fought dirty and was able to free themselves. Zenkichi chases them only to feel pain as he looks down to see a knife in his gut. They twist it, causing him to cry out in pain before pulling it out, causing him to fall to the ground. They look down at him, clearly enjoying the high they got from the action and stomps on him. He cries out again and they kneel to his level, almost giggling madly as they express their desire to continue to the torture to make him "suffer like they did." There was more beating and Zen was reminded of his interrogation back in P5S and freezes up, not fighting back. He snaps out of it when they grab him by his hair but before they could do anything worse...
"FREEZE! DROP YOUR WEAPON AND PUT YOUR HANDS UP NOW!!"
They pale and turn to see an angry Kaburagi pointing her gun at them. They panic and run off, dropping the knife in the process. Kaburagi could have chased them, but she had another priority right now. She tries to keep him alive as she calls for help and even tells him to stay awake for Akane's sake. He does survive the encounter but now there's a pissed off group of teens and daughter now...
Also, there would be Phantom Thief!Akane as the whole incident would act as a lead up/catalyst to her awakening to a Persona. Maruki would be involved too (having started dating Zen by then).

sirius' tarot readings p4
'and on that depressing note,' mary said, 'i want a go.'
mary was one of sirius' closest friends and he was looking forward to her reading. they got on well, made jokes together and sirius thought she was utterly stunning. she had big, beautiful brown eyes, were filled with kindness, which made her an easy person to talk to and she was great at advice. sirius knew she had her own problems, particularly with boys, but they would help each other, whatever she was going through. she could also be shy at times, especially when things weren't going too well, but as soon as she flung on a sparkly dress, platform shoes and some crazy, wonderful, fierce makeup look, she would become her outgoing self again. and, with mary, sirius felt as though they could conquer anything together.
'sirius, are you listening?'
he was brought back from his daydream to the sound of mary's voice.
'uhh, yeah. sorry. just thinking.'
she gathered the cards up from the floor into a pile in her hands.
'shuffle them, right?'
'yeah.'
sirius watched how her hands moved the cards quickly and neatly together as he wondered what cards she would get. he hoped she would have a good set, a perfect set, in fact. she deserved it. although, you could never quite be sure what the cards were going to throw at you.
'done.' she said, beaming at him and holding the pack out.
he took it from her and spread the cards out in a fan in his fingers.
'pick three cards, any three cards.'
she didn't hesitate. she chose the three in the centre and placed them in front of her, face down.
sirius picked up the first card.
'okay. so this card,' he said, turning over the card, 'is your past.'
he looked down at it.
'okay, so you got the queen of swords. it means wise feminine intellect.'
'ooooo,' marlene's voice came from behind him, 'someone's a clever clogs.'
'shut up.' said mary, smiling and flicking her hair behind her.
'basically, it says you have to make a decision without relying on your emotions alone. you have to become independent without your judgments and look at all the facts before relying on the decision.'
sirius had hoped for a slightly better card, but, looking at mary, she knew it made sense, so it did to him too.
'right,' he sighed, picking up the next one and flipping it over, 'this is your present.'
'better be good.' said mary.
'yeah, it is good. you got the seven of pentacles. it means that if you've put time and effort into work or decisions, then they're paying off, and are going to pay off in the future. it's kind of like the healing card, so now you've done hard stuff, everything is fine and rewarding.'
they looked at each other and smiled. things were going well for mary, and they both knew it.
'so, the last one is your-'
'future, yes, i know. just get on with it.' said mary.
she was biting her lip. he could tell she was nervous; nervous, but excited.
'oh.'
sirius had turned over the last card.
'what?'
'you got the reversed five of pentacles.'
'what does that mean?'
'well, it not supposed to be a very good card. it's a horrible card, actually. when it's upright, it means grief, loss, mourning, you know? but when it's reversed...'
he glanced at marlene desperately. they hadn't studied reversed cards yet. sirius nodded towards her and she spoke.
'the reversed five of pentacles is like moving on. it's accepting the things that have happened in the past, and, even though you'll think about the past a lot, you'll find contentment, and be at peace with yourself and the world.'
'so, more bad things will happen to me, but i'll be okay with them, even if they hurt me?'
'yeah, pretty much.'
marlene gave her a hug.
'everything will be okay in the end, love.' sirius whispered.
p5 up tomorrow. probably going to do lily :)

Revolution (P5/PJO)
A warm up fic that I'm too nervous to put on A03. Unedited.
At age sixteen, Akira never expected to be part of a war. But then again, life as a demigod is anything but normal to begin with. He’s not even...he’s not even anything in the eyes of the gods but for some reason he was the child of the prophecy, whatever that meant. Akira always considered it a death sentence in waiting. Aren’t prophecies once in a lifetime opportunities?
Since the age of eleven, Akira has been forced to go on all sorts of different quests ranging from petty things such as being an over glorified uber eats for a god or something like preventing a war between two different monsters. Now it was a war.
A war that could be easily prevented if the gods or even some of the camp managers and leaders just opened their eyes and look. Akira would know. He was the son of a minor goddess after all, a mother who never bothered to claim him and a camp that force him into a cramped cabin of a god who is “so kind and merciful to let someone like him inside.”
Children of minor gods are usually one that can live in the outside world without major trouble. Apparently their scent is thinner and are less appealing than children of major goddesses such as his bunkmate Ryuji, child of Hermes and sweet Ann from Aprohidites. They are his best friend and he does not envy them at all. Both Ryuji and Ann has been through s much trouble because of their parent lineage. Left alone to single parents and their own human trouble combined with their demigods' trouble. He would do anything for them. Still, it would be nice to have someone to call as family. The only reason Akira even found out about his parentage is because of Goro.
Goro.
Goro had high expectation placed under him. As the son of Zeus it was expected. But he was never chosen to be in any important quest and spend most of his time training or in his cabin. Goro was one of the first people Akira met when he first came to camp. According to gossip, Goro has been in camp since the age of seven after his mother killed himself, overpressed by the idea of raising a child of god and especially after how lord Zeus practically left the two on their own. Goro was a loner on the outside and very bitter on the inside. When Akira got his first quest a month later, Goro practically ignored him. It was heartbreaking for the eleven year old for his new friend or at least someone he consider his friend to suddenly hate him.
He really wanted to go to the outside world with him but instead went with Ryuji and Ann. When he came back, bruised and bloodied, filled with new fears and deep hatred for salt water. He hoped his time away would have let his friend cool down enough for them to talk again but as soon as Akira laid eyes on the other the boy ran straight for his cabin. It wasn’t long until Akira got his first fetch quest. This time with Yusuke, son of Apollo and Futaba the quirky daughter of Hephaestus. It was a strange team, filled with dumb fights and hiding in the bathroom but it was successful.
Goro still won’t talk to him. Instead he ended up with two Ares girls on his twelfth birthday.
It was after this quest when he was finally given a small break. At this point he was desperate. He was tired, scared and most of all he wanted his friend back. So once he was left alone after dinner, he dragged Goro by the arm from the archery ring and into the Zeus cabin.
“We need to talk.”
They talked and talked and talked way past curfew, maybe they could have reconnect months ago. If only Akira was given a chance to settle down. But now he did.
It was Goro that figured out who his parent was, Goro always did say that whenever he was around Akira he always felt safe, at home. Other people told him that too. Even Akira felt the sense of family whenever he’s with his friends.
They hit the book soon after and came up with an answer.
Epione, the goddess of soothing pain.
Akira’s power seems to work with mental pain and after going on a quest with Goro and Hifumi, he can soothe small physical pain. Anything bigger than a small knife wound would leave him passed out on the ground. But it was better than any ambrosia or nectar, it was a rewarded feeling and an especially tiring one.
It made the quest after a lot easier.
Everything breaks down around the age of fifteen, it was quiet and sudden. Akira knew of camp deserters, they all did. It is often talked about in late night horror stories. Akira may have made one or two up on his own as well. But there has been an increase in unrest between the minor god and goddess children.
“The gods are using you as their playthings aren’t they?” Ten year old Nozoki told him one day. “How long can you keep winding yourself until you break?”
He still hasn't told anyone of his talk with the gods, yet.
It was after that day that people started leaving the camp in groups.
Yukki
Nozoki
And Goro.
The older boy didn’t even say goodbye.
Was it something Akira has done?
Their last talk was another late night one. This time hanging out on the roof of Goro’s cabin. They were talking about school. Akechi was close to finishing high school and Akira was on his way to his last year. When Akechi asked of his future plans, Akira hesitated. Was there a future for him? Akira never thought he would make it this long, even then, he did not have the time to develop any hobbies or focus on school work compared to his peers. Who cared about school when the world was ending.
Maybe it was his defeated tone, he hated it at first he really did. But now Akira just accepts it as another part of life. Demigods don’t get to live long, everyone knows that, that’s why the camp was created in the first place to provide children a safe place to live and to teach them to survive. Akira who's been in and out of the camp in almost all of his teen years has a higher chance of an early death compared to his friends.
“What if everything change.” Goro talked in a low and deep voice. A tone Akira rarely hear outside of anger and battle. He must be serious. “What if we had a chance to go out into the world without any fear of getting killed or being forced by the gods to do whatever they want.”
“That’s a dangerous thought you have there.” He replied.
“Humor me Akira.”
“Well,” What kind of answers would satisfy Goro. He honestly never really bothered to even spend time daydreaming about this. What are somethings the seasonal campers talk about during dinner time?
“I think I want to go somewhere populated.”
“Somewhere populated, Kurusu-kun?”
He nodded. “Yeah like the scramble or Kyoto, maybe even destinyland.”
“Those are tourist traps Kurusu-kun.” Goro replied wirily.
“So? What I want my wallet to get tricked by the many faces of capitalism. Aren’t they places of memories. I don't mind spending my whole day in these places. It seems like fun.”
“You know, I expected someone like you to want something more dramatic. For someone who always lives in the danger zone.”
He shrugged. “Normal is Ok, I think I would like to be that mysterious man behind the bar.”
Goro actually snorted at that. “Are you even able to stay in one place for that long?”
Ok, so maybe Goro has a point. There no why he can stay in one place for so long. But if he gets to meet new people everyday it sure to be just as fun.
“-beside, I can’t see you handling alcohol.”
“Geez Goro, way to crush my dreams. I was thinking of running some kind of underground coffee bar. “
“An underground coffee bar. That sounds like you. I think I might have isted everyday.”
“Oh? A loyal customer ? Thank you for your patronage, good sir.”
“You’re very welcomed overworked barista.”
They sighed.
“Goro is everything OK?| He finally asked. “What you have been saying lately has me worried. You know the people upstairs can hear everything here right?”
“Of course, please do not worry about me Akira-kun, I’m sure you already have lots on your plate right now.”
“But I always have space in my heart for you. Please ‘kechi, I won’t tell anyone no matter what you tell me. On my life.”
“You really shouldn’t be putting your life on the line so easily.” Goro mumbled, mostly to himself but Akira heard it all anyway.
“It’s all part of the job.” He chirp back.
The next day he was gone.
A traitor everyone called him, someone who abandoned the gods to join the wrong side historically and morally. It did not take long for the rumors to start around camp.
“I’ve always knew he was evil.”
“He was always acting so creepy around Akira I wonder if he was ever planning on killing him.”
“It’s good that he left, who knows what he would’ve done if he stayed. “
It was getting harder and harder to face each day with a smile without Goro. His other friends at least one that has yet to publicly disowned Goro stayed by his side comforting him telling him that everything is alright.
But war, war is coming and Akira is expected to be in the front line as a leader. He can’t. He does not want to do this any more. Oh godly parent please give him a sign.
But nothing came.
Nothing but ruin for Tokyo.
They were
Winning
Losing
Dying
...fighting.
They were fighting for their life, each of his friends split up into different groups to try and take back different parts of the city.
Akira was tasked to find the leader of the resistance and to put an end to it once and for all, a fitting task for the hero.
It did not take long to find him, he was exactly where Akira expected him to be and exactly where Goro wanted him to be at.
“Goro,” He mumbled, approaching his enemy with his dagger clutched in his hand tightly. “I came to stop you.”
Goro turned around to face him. Instead of the camp t-shirt and ripped jeans that Akira normally sees him in. He was instead wearing a leather jacket and a collared shirt underneath his regular jeans. It was a strange combination but Akira can’t help but to think it suits Goro well.
“I’m happy you came.”
“This is our meeting place after all.”
Enough with the banter, Akira can’t afford to stall now, not when everyone is fighting for their lives.
“Goro, surrender now. I can get the gods to put you on probation or something bu-”
“You know that’s not true. Do you really think that will pay attention to a mortal even someone like you, since when have they done anything for you.”
“I-”
“Think Akira.” Goro shouted, holding on to his shoulder for dear life. “You’ve been used over and over again. We were just kids. You don’t even have a childhood doesn’t that upset you?”
It did, it still does but Goro knows that he does not like to think about that.
“I used to be so scared.” Goro’s volume went down all the way to a whisper as if talking about this of all things would finally get him stuck down by lightning. “Everytime you come home your eyes would grow darker and darker. I used to have nightmares that the darkness would eat you alive. The trauma you endured. As a son of one of the big three it should have been me.”
Akira shook his head vigorously, he could even feel some of the hair strand stabbing his eyes. It burns a bit, but that’s not important.
“No Goro! I would never wish this life on anyone. The quest, the glory. It’s not worth it! I wanted you to be safe and happy but you ignored me.”
“I know.” Goro’s hand slowly trailed down until they came right above his waist putting the two in some sort of half hug position. “I’m sorry Akira.”
Akira swallowed back a sob threatening to come out. His dagger was right there and Goro was so close and vulnerable. He could end this, he can stop this war once and for all.
“Goro please, end this war. That way everything will go back to normal.”
“You know that’s not what’s going to happen. The gods will use you again and again until you one day burn out and they choose the next unlucky kid to be the hero.” Goro paused. “Akira...why don’t you join me.”
“Hu-”
“Lots of our men need healing. With your powers you can save them! Your mother may not recognize you but we do. We can stop this cycle and give everyone a better future. We would no longer live in fear or worried over someone’s temper tantrum. Akira, I know I haven’t been a good friend to you but I can make it all up now so please.”
Goro reached out his hand and dropped his weapon.
“Join me.”
Akira dropped his dagger as well.
He knows this isn’t the right choice, if they were to fail both Akira and Goro would face harsh unimaginable punishment. But Goro along with everything he ever wanted was right there.
Akira reached out his own hands and-

Your skin was scrubbed clean to the point of it hurting, the skin on your arms starting to split a little with the ruff sponge and scrub they where using. You couldn't hate the two girls since they were just doing as they where told, and they would whisper apologies when you would hiss slightly in pain, helping you out the tub the two girls help dry you off and put you in pink shorts and bra, they brushed your hair and tied it back up before placing the cuffs back on your wrists. You hated the feeling of eyes on you mainly form the guard standing in front of the door, you couldn't see his face but you could tell he was looking at something on you, it made your heart race wondering what he's looking at and why. The guard form outside knocks on the door before opening it not waiting for an answer "The masters want to see you now" The guard states holding the door open and waiting for you and the two girls to walk out, following the guard you walk with the two girls, they haven't said much to you this whole time and a part of you hoped they would have talked to you more. The only voices you've heard so far are those who want to hurt you, it would be nice to hear someone who has no ill intent. Entering a large dinning room the guards and slaves bow to the three Dragons sitting at the table eating a large feast, you bow too copying the two girls "Much better" Rosward calls out after finishing his bite of food and holding his glass out for one of his servants to fill it back up. As the two girls stand back up you follow scanning the room with your eyes to see servants lining the walls waiting for orders along with guards.
The three Dragons sitting around the long white table stare at you, Rosward at the head of the table while his two children sit on either side of him. Charlos looks you up and down while taking a big bite of meat while his sister, Shalria sits across form him sipping on her crystal glass of wine "Are you sure about this farther? I don't want a lower life form to be a part of our family tree - su" The woman keeps her head high as she speaks seeming disgusted by the thought alone while her brother laughs out rubbing his runny nose "She'll be just like my other wives, The wedding is just a show, right farther?" Charlos smiles looking at his farther who nods sipping on his wine "Correct" Rosward answers seeming to make his son happy only to spot something on you making him frown and slam his glass down on the table. You jump along with some of the slaves not sure of what the dragon is angry at and what he'll do "What is that?" Rosward glares at your thigh as his voice grows with anger, his two kids look from their farther to you soon spotting what he's seeing. You now know why people have been looking at you ever since your legs have been showing, the straw hat tattoo on your thigh, your heart races wondering what there going to do or say. "We'll we can't have that" Shalria smiles standing out of her seat and making her way over to you, panic hits you as you try to step back only for the two girls next to you to grab your arms.
The female dragon glares at you grabbing your face in her hand "Don't you dare step away from me" The woman growls only for her farther to stand out of his chair, the sudden action making his daughter turn to look at him "Not her face" The man sighs seeing his daughter pout a little but agreeing letting your face go "Or her back and chest, i know the dress i want for her and i don't want scars showing on the day" Rosward sits back down going back his meal as his son frowns, it seemed he wanted to pick out your dress but knowing the man it would most likely only be some shorts and a top, the young dragon seemed to like his wives showing a lot of skin. Shalria's laugh breaks you out of your thoughts noticing she's now by the end of the table picking up a sharp knife "Pin her down" She pats the table and steps away as some of her male servants walk over and grab you, you try to get away but the men are strong and with the drugs still in your system you don't have a lot of energy to fight. Being slammed onto the table the slaves pin you down, two holding your legs and two holding your arms, you struggle trying to kick them away, but they stay put using their weight to keep you there. Shalria grins as she steps closer running her hand over the tattoo on your thigh "No please" You call out as tears start to form in your eyes, its the first time you've talked since being here but it seems to make the three dragons happy hearing you plead and beg for them not to hurt you.
Shalria presses the tip of the knife to your thigh hearing you cry and beg for her not to do it, but she just smiles slicing your skin around the tattoo. The pain was unlike anything you've ever felt before, not only physical but also emotional, you got the tattoo because the crew means so much to you and you were loyal to them and them only but now it was being ripped away. Tears stream down your face as you scream out in pain and sadness the knife slicing under your skin to remove the tattoo from your thigh "She has a pretty scream" Charlos picks his running nose as he watches you scream and cry, his sister puts the knife down and places the piece of skin on a plate before holding her hands out. As you continue to sob on the table a slave walks over and wipes her hands clean of your blood while she looks over her work. "Much better" She comments walking around the table to sit back in her seat and drink her wine seeming very pleased with herself while her father snaps his fingers, the slaves let you go as two guards grab you and help you off the table "Fix her up and take her to the dress maker" Rosward orders his guards who nod supporting your weight as they walk you out the room "Farther can i have a say in the dress?" Charlos looks at his farther seeming to pick up the courage to ask his farther who simply sighs and nods, a big smile appears on his sons face who looks over at his eight wives all standing in a corner "Go with them, make sure the dress is pink and almost see through" His wives bow to him and walk after you and the two guards.
Making it back to the Docks was hard for Zoro and Luffy mainly because both of them where lost but luckily they came across Robin who was talking to a tied up marine "Robin" Luffy calls out running over to her with Zoro in toe "There you two are. We gathered a few but none of them seem to know where Y/n is" She smiles at them stepping away form the marine "We know where she is" The captain stops in front of the black haired woman who looks at him concerned since he doesn't have his usual big smile on his face "There's a lot to explain later, but we need to go now" Zoro states placing his hand on Luffy's shoulder who nods "We're heading to the red line, that's where Y/N is" The woman nods at her captains orders and leads the two back to the docks where the Sunny is now docked. It takes a few minutes to get everyone on the ship and head off but with Nami and Franky sensing the two's urgency they got away form the small island much faster. The navigator yelled orders as Franky set up the ship for a Coup de Burst, so they could get to the red line quicker, the crew became more and more worried as the ship took off wondering why you were taken back to the red line and the enraged look on their captain's and swordsman's face. "Hold on" Franky yells out near the wheel of the ship getting ready to press the button once everyone is holding onto something "Coup de Burst" The cyborg yells pushing the button launching the Sunny out of the water and into the air.
With the Sunny at full speed and back on the water Sanji hands out drinks to the crew as they all sit on the grassy deck, Zoro and Luffy told the crew what they knew trying not lash out in anger at the situation. "What? They can't do that" Chopper yells jumping up form his spot on the floor "Their celestial dragon's they can do whatever they want" Nami glares down at the cup in her hands anger taking over her, its bad enough that your a slave to those monsters but now ones marrying you as a show of power. Robin places a hand on her shoulder feeling saddened by the news, but she knew you were a fighter, and they would get you back. "Those bastards, how dare they. Oh, my sweet Y/N its going to be ok, your prince charming will come to save you" Sanji cry's out holding his hands to his heart swaying a little making Zoro growl, it only took one thing to throw the swordsman over the edge and the cook just stepped too far "I told you to cut that crap" The swordsman stands placing a hand on his sword "How many times have i told you, stupid cook?" Sanji jumps a little and growls at the green haired man stepping closer, he didn't want to start a fight, but he can't help it when Zoro yells at him like that "Hay man i just care about her thats all" The cook yells back the two getting in each others faces "Guys stop this isn't helping" Nami yells at the two as Usopp walks over to Luffy and sits next to him.
The sniper puts an arm around his captain trying to comfort his angry and slightly shaking friend, "We'll get her back, at this speed we'll make it there in time" Luffy sighs and looks at his friend with a small smile and a nod "I can't wait to punch that guy in the face again" The captain laughs a little while punching his fist into his hand making the sniper crack a smile. "Guys i said stop" The two are brought out of their conversation by Nami yelling at Zoro and Sanji who are kicking and punching each other "Knock it off moss head, i just care about her" Sanji yells dodging a punch and trying to get away form the very angry swordsman "I said cut that crap, you know how i hate it when you fawn over her. Its bad enough those assholes have her but now your making comments too" Zoro yells grabbing Sanji by the shirt and shoving him into the wall, the cook stares with wide eyes watching the swordsman's eye tear up a little. Luffy stands and tilts his hat down before walking over to the two prying Zoro's hand off Sanji and lightly pushing the swordsman away. The swordsman didn't put up a fight and stepped back his hands gripping his swords but had no intention of pulling them out. "This isn't helping." The captain states keeping his head down as he stands in between the two, Sanji nods and looks away while Zoro's eye's shift to the ground.
The tension was still thick everyone waiting with baited breath for something to happen, Zoro made the first move turning and walking up the steps to the kitchen "I need a drink" The swordsman groans walking into the kitchen and slamming the door closed. The crew lets out a collective sigh of relief now that the moment was over, "I'm sorry" Sanji sighs lighting up a cigarette as he looks at Luffy who's eyes are still covered as he looks at the ground. The captain simply nods before heading up the stairs and into the kitchen knowing he needed to have a talk with his first mate, Its normal for Sanji and Zoro to fight but this was different , Luffy could see the hurt and rage in the swordsman. Robin stands and takes Nami's hand as she watches the kitchen door close behind Luffy "We should get everything ready for tomorrow and get an early night" Robin's calming voice brings everyone back down to earth and nod heading off in order to get their weapons or the ship ready but Sanji stayed leaning against the wall smocking his cigarette trying to calm down from what just happened. Zoro downed another bottle while standing in the kitchen, he needed to take his mind off things for a second in order to calm down but all he could think of was a stiff drink. The swordsman sighs hearing the door open but upon feeling Luffy's aura he relaxes a bit glad that its not the cook, placing the empty bottle down along with the others he grabs another and pops off the top "Zoro" Luffy's voice soon calls out from behind the swordsman, but he can't bring himself to turn around and look at his captain.
Zoro knew the captain must be angry with him for the way he acted and didn't want to see the sad or angry face of the man he loved, at least not right now. "I'm sorry Luffy" Zoro sighs downing his drink, Luffy steps closer moving around the swordsman and leaning against the counter now able to see his face, tear stains on his red cheeks and a slightly blood shot eye. Its very rare for Zoro to cry and it broke the captain a little "I'm not mad, just wanted to see if your ok" Luffy leans a little closer as the green haired man slams the now empty bottle down but keeping a tight grip on it "I'm fi-" the swordsman goes to say but stops himself his hand loosening on the bottle as his eye finally looks over to Luffy, the two stared at each other for a minute until Luffy wraps his arms around the swordsman burying his head into the mans chest "I miss her too" The captain lets a few tears fall as he grips onto the back of Zoro's shirt, with a shaky sigh Zoro hugs back running his hands up and down his lovers back "It hurts Zo" Luffy looks up tears running down his face making Zoro's eyes soften and lean closer while wiping some of the tears away "I know... i feel it too" The two no longer feeling alone in their feelings hold each other close letting their emotions show even though Zoro try's to hold back as much as he can but soon caves in burying his head into Luffy's neck who starts rubbing his back. "We'll get her back so don't worry" The swordsman whispers into Luffy's neck trying to reassure the both of them "We will Zo. i promise" The captain says back placing a kiss on Zoro's shoulder who returns it with a kiss on the captains neck.
Your leg was bandaged up and the blood washed form you leg but the pain was still there even though your heart and body felt numb, a part of you felt so empty as the old dress maker measured you and pressed different shades of pink cloth to your skin. The other girls in the room watches sitting together on a sofa with vials covering their faces, they told the dress maker what Charlos told them and it made your skin crawl. "All done, your dress will be ready in the morning, congratulations" The dress maker smiles walking out the room the guards following her and locking the door behind them, why would she say that? Congratulations? For what getting married to the most disgusting, Arrogant and cruel man in the whole world? One of the girls stands and walks over lightly touching your hand as you stand in the middle of the room "Come sit" Her soft voice calls out as her hand takes yours and walks you over to the sofa helping you sit down. "Its over now" She whispers pulling her vale up so you can see her face, the other girls do the same moving closer to you so the eight women can hold each other. You felt a little bit of comfort as the girls hugged and tried to tell you I'll be ok, you know things won't be ok but you appreciate their kindness and effort. "What are your names" You finally speak some of the girls tearing up a bit, the girl who walked you over takes your head and lays it on her shoulder stroking your hair "It doesn't matter" she whispers with a sad voice.
You shake your head and lift it up form her shoulder now getting a good look at the girls, their either wearing blue or pink belly dancer outfits with long hair and very skinny waist's "It does to me" Your words seem to cut deep for one girl who breaks down crying being comforted by one of the other girls trying to shush her "You'll learn that they never use our names here so there's no point in telling you" Another girl speaks up gritting her teeth and looking away from you but you reach over and take her hand "It doesn't matter what they do or think... I'm Y/N and want to call you by your names" you state looking over the girls who seem to take a second to think about your words "Sakura" You look at the girl next to who helped you before, she smiles a little as her eyes meet your, smiling back you take her hand in yours "It's nice to meet you Sakura" the girl tears up at the sound of her own name and quickly hugs you slightly crying into your shoulder. "I'm Emi" The girl crying soon wipes her tears away and looks up at you with a small smile, the other girls decide to tell you their names too, Rin, Claire, Marie, Lina, Kashvi and Jae. You greet all of them hoping for once that they feel seen and acknowledged, they all seemed so sweet even though they've been through hell, At that moment you decided that when you leave they will be coming with you, their not going to suffer anymore.

Q1 or P5 with shinsou? Angst, please! I'm gonna need to cry today :DD
prompt Q1: “quiet. i’m getting sick of hearing your voice”
character: shinsou hitoshi
.・。.・゜✭・.・✭・゜・。.
Finals were a grueling task and you couldn’t wait for them to be over. After this it was off to adulthood and no more finals for the rest of your life! You had done enough studying for today and you decided it’d be a good idea to visit your boyfriend. Hitoshi had been sleeping even less than before due to the upcoming exams. He already had trouble sleeping and this only made it worse.
You went out to buy some coffee and his favorite snacks. You just hoped he’d actually accept them and take a break this time. You had already tried to get him to stop a few times now, but everytime he would just ignore your attempts.
“Hitoshi?” You knocked on his door, but there was no answer. You knocked a few more times and you heard a disgruntled “Come in.”
He was sitting at his desk, notecards and books sprawled across the entire surface. His hair was a mess and he looked as if he was about to rip his hair out. You entered the room and set the bags and cups down, quietly closing the door behind you.
“Toshi!” You hugged him and placed a kiss on his cheek.
“Y/N, please, for the love of god–” He started.
You pulled away from him and practically snatched his pencil from his hand. Before he could say anything you covered his mouth. “No, none of that, okay? I bought some snacks and coffee, all I ask for is thirty minute break!”
Hitoshi took the pencil back from you and turned back to his work. You knew this would happen and sighed. You walked back towards the bag and placed them on the side of the bed instead. The coffee was still warm and you placed Hitoshi’s on his desk. You asked him if it was alright and he nodded.
“Toshi, you mind if I talk to you?”
“Yeah sure, do whatever you want.” You asked again just to make sure and he confirmed.
Nothing happened for an hour, just you talking every once in a while about your day. He responded with generic things like, “That’s great” or “Too bad”. Your coffee was almost gone by that point and you had eaten half a bag of chips. Often times when he was too busy doing work, you would just sit by his side as he worked. Lately you tried to keep your distance as to not overwhelm him, but apparently you didn’t do as well as you thought.
You were talking about how Hatsume had stayed up late again to finish one of her babies and laughing about how she scared another classmate at two in the morning. All of a sudden you heard the chair fall backwards and Hitoshi muttering cursed to himself. You could see coffee dripping down the desk and immediately got off the bed and tried to help him.
“No, Y/N, just fucking stop. Don’t touch any of it.” He snapped. You pulled your hand back and stared at him.
“Right, sorry,” You said. “I just wanted to help.”
“Yeah, that’s what you always say and yet you still screwed it up somehow...” He muttered, but you still heard. He went back to picking up his stuff and grabbed a towel.
“Hitoshi, I already apologized. I just wanted to hell you since you’ve been working so hard with training and exams–”
“Holy shit, can you just be quiet? I’m getting sick of hearing your voice nagging me.”
You looked at him to see if he would say anything else, but he just continued to clean up his desk. It hurt, but you knew he was just stressed and tired and that he didn’t mean it. Even knowing that, you couldn’t help but feel like yelling at him, but you kept it together.
Instead of saying anything you opened the door and slammed it as you left, causing Hitoshi to flinch. As soon as you left, he felt shame and regret start to fill him.

Hey! Is it okay for me to request Headcanons for jotaro, Giorno, and Joseph reacting to having an s/o who’s very clumsy in everyday life but when it comes to fighting she can take down groups of people twice her size and height ?
[  I hope it’s okay that I just did Joseph and Jotaro!  I’m not far enough in to be confident in writing for p5 quite yet, my apologies, but I hope you enjoy these two!  ]
J o s e p h ;;
At first he didn’t think much of you, other than that you were a hell of a cutie.  Petite, almost always fumbling, both physically and around your words, a pink blush constantly tinting your cheeks, he initially believed you were shy and nervous in nature, and, to some degree, you were.  Perhaps it was the fact that he didn’t think he’d see much of you throughout his journey, but he didn’t pay you much attention.  Whenever he saw someone being a bit of a klutz, or tripping over their own words, nevertheless, his mind would always flash back to you, the girl who seemingly popped out of the background sheerly because of her awkwardness.
It quickly became clear that you weren’t going anywhere.  As it turned out, you were one of Lisa Lisa’s most prized students, excelling in Hamon.  Joseph thought himself insane the first time he and Caesar ran into you.  That same small girl, bumbling about like a lost puppy, was a Hamon master?  It was almost laughable.  In fact, when Lisa Lisa introduced (or rather re-introduced) the two of you, he couldn’t help but let a laugh escape.  “[Y/n]?  [Y/n] [l/n]?  That name must be common, then,” he’d chuckled, rolling his eyes, only for his trainer to cast him a stern glance as you emerged behind her, nearly tripping on the brick flooring.  His jaw practically hit the ground.
Even during training he couldn’t believe it.  Somehow, you - clumsy, small, innocent, and somewhat of a mess at times - were ahead of him.  He clung to whatever little logic he could muster.  After all, he hadn’t seen you use Hamon, so perhaps you were simply some relative of Lisa Lisa’s, visiting, exempt from practice because you genuinely didn’t know the first thing about anything, Lisa Lisa simply letting you live your dream.  You were adorable, of course, but something like jealousy and uncertainty held Joseph back, generally avoiding you.
Only after your first sparring session did he realize how wrong he’d been.  “I’ll go easy on you, love,” he’d reassured as the two of you set yourselves into position, only eliciting a small snort from you and a “you don’t need to” under your breath.  The moment he plunged into battle you were able to pinpoint his moves fairly quickly, although, to be fair, after watching him train, you’d grown rather accustomed to his typical moves.  You easily avoided jabs and kicks, dodging clacker balls with ease, allowing a few well-placed Hamon-filled punches and swift feints followed up by some powerful roundhouses left him breathless on his back in what felt like an instant.  Through his panting, holding his head, he saw you step over him, for the first time looking and truly feeling like a giant, worthy of all the praise Lisa Lisa had given you.  “You don’t need to go easy on me,” you informed with a good-natured smile, reaching out to help him back to his feet.  Before he gathered the strength to take your hand, he still had to process it all, bewildered at the transformation from a girl who could hardly stand to one who could beat him almost instantaneously.  “…No shit.”
From then on the three of you, Joseph, Caesar, and yourself, continued on the journey to defeat the Pillar Men.  Although he’d seen your skills, Joseph still saw you as a flower, just barely in bloom and in need of protection.  He couldn’t forgive himself if something happened to you.  Not that he was particularly planning on you falling prey to enemy traps, but even after proving yourself in battle, he still continued to see the you he’d first met pretty much anywhere outside of battle.  Thus, he couldn’t believe when you agreed to help him on his quest.  He tried to talk you out of it.  But, although your words were stuttered and repeated, you were committed, and nothing he could do would stop you.  Eventually he found himself letting his fears go.  Instead, he took to teasing you, pondering aloud how the pretty mess that was you could kick ass in battle.
Your first fights against the Pillar Men only continued to further his amazement.  What took Joseph minutes took you seconds, and even as time progressed and he learned new techniques, you always seemed to be just ahead of him.  Something about the sight of you taking on ancient super-human godlike beings, easily twice your size both in terms of height and muscle, always managed to astonish him.  Although he continued to tease you, he genuinely did admire you.  His affection built but he hid it beneath playful words.  “You don’t mess about, do you?” he’d joke after a battle, when the both of you were finally able to catch a break.  You would smile and shake your head.  “Not in a fight, at least.”  A giggle would follow, and he’d run a hand through your hair.  You were absolutely precious.
After Caesar’s death, the two of you only grew closer, you left wordless at the loss of your friend while Joseph was tormented equally in yells and cries out for his lost partner.  You both tried to help one another get through it, and although evidently your fighting - both of yours - was impacted poorly initially, the two of you quickly learned to read one another to step in should the other need a moment.  In the end your grief only made both of you stronger and more determined to end it all.  “You absolutely confuse me, you know,” he’d admit with a lazy smile when it was just the two of you alone.  You would look at him with innocent eyes and inquire, “Is that a bad thing?”  “Not at all.”  He paused, and suddenly planted a kiss on your cheek.  “In fact, I think that’s why I love you.”
J o t a r o ;;
The instant he heard his klutz of a classmate had a stand, he felt like the world had been flipped on its side.  How were people like him and people like you even remotely similar?  You were practically half his height, almost always stumbling in the hallways, tripping over your own feet and stringing your words together as gracefully as tangled Christmas lights in mid-July.  Quite frankly he thought you were perhaps one of the weakest people he’d ever known.  Your antics were precisely the opposite of his, and he couldn’t care less.
He gave a heavy sigh and tipped his hat down to hide the dissatisfaction that twisted his face when you were recruited to fight Dio.  All you were going to be was dead weight; someone whose constant mistakes would not only drag the group down but possibly risk all of their lives, undoubtedly forcing the more compassionate Crusaders to help you rather than finish up battle.  He, his grandfather, Kakyoin, and Avdol were well-trained.  And up against an immortal being.  And then…there was you.  You could hardly make it up the stairs without your foot catching one of the ledges, and for some godforsaken reason, the others had made the extremely bright decision to take you to fight a person equivalent to a god of sorts.
The first time you were truly able to shine was in the fight against Polnareff.  As most of your group fell into defense, in unfamiliar territory against a powerful man with an equally powerful stand, not to mention a minion of Dio, it was only Jotaro and, surprisingly enough, you, who took to offense.  Before anyone could so much as get a hit in, you were lunging at him, deftly avoiding his quick movements and flashing about at an unprecedented pace, setting elaborate ruses to catch him off guard and swiftly landing the first blows within seconds, showing no intention of stopping as you continued to watch for his movements and make your moves.  After a moment of shock, Jotaro joined you, and even though it was you who ultimately took him down, he still couldn’t believe his eyes.  Perhaps it had just been a stroke of luck.  That had to be it.
You became fast friends with the other members of your team, especially Kakyoin, but Jotaro, given his reserved nature, atop his doubt at your abilities, remained rather cold to you.  It took a good few battles for him to realize that this wasn’t the work of some lucky streak.  Somehow, that same clumsy schoolgirl that he’d found a hindrance was now a warrior on the front lines, tackling enemy after enemy, always managing to find weak points and strike viciously, rivaling, if not surpassing, his own ability.  Eventually an odd sort of respect bloomed in his chest for you.  It rose with every moment in battle, but wavered every moment outside it.  Nonetheless, he figured he should at least stop isolating himself from you, especially as the two of you often wound up working together to take down an enemy.  Your nature was still off-putting for him, but he found you to be a very sweet girl, strong not only in battle but also in mind, even if lacking in other departments.  The two of you began coordinating your abilities for the best outcomes possible, and, in doing so, found affection to one another.
Although he’d never admit it, he was falling hard for you, both the silly klutz and the talented fighter all in one.  He noticed you seemed to feel the same.  Often the two of you spent your free time together, even if it was in silence, partially because of Jotaro’s stoic personality and your quietness so as to prevent you from fumbling your words and appearing stupid.  But as time passed, the two of you opened up to one another (at least, as much as could be expected).  His seriousness played off well with your innocence, and although he’d always find himself giving his signature yare yare daze every time you wound up messing something up, he learned to appreciate it as a part of you.
After the primary bridge of your friendship - Kakyoin - was hospitalized, he grew frustratingly concerned for you, and you for him.  He seemed much more protective of you, strangely so, not just to you but to everyone, and although you would always assure him you’d be fine a sense of duty to keep you safe would still cloud his mind, only to slowly dissipate as you proved your skills over and over, countless times in countless battles.
“I - um, I probably annoy you a lot,” you confessed one day, after defeating an enemy stand and having a rare moment of peace in a small town, browsing the scenery, just you and Jotaro, your cheeks flushing as you continued, “s-so thanks for putting up with me.”  A nervous giggle escaped you, the redness tinting your face only growing in saturation as you prepared yourself for your next words, continuing slowly, voice wavering despite your best attempts to remain calm, “And I’ve never really…done this before, but I’ve never really felt like this before, and so what I’m trying to say - what I mean is - I think I love you.”  You closed your eyes tight, unwilling to see the expression on his face, only for a ruffling of clothing and a small grunt of acknowledgement to cause you to peek.  Jotaro had pulled his hat down over his face, put you could see a small shade of pink rising on his cheeks, mumbling a small all-too-familiar phrase.  Your heart was beating a million miles a minute - surely he’d reject you.  But instead, you found yourself with his hand on your shoulder, holding you firmly as though unwilling to let go.  “Then do me a favor, and stop tripping over yourself.”  It wasn’t a yes, but as he brushed a few stray strands of your hair back into place, you grinned like an idiot.  It was just as good as a yes, in your eyes.
The first time Jotaro ever said the words ‘I love you’ weren’t to his mother, or father, or any of his family or friends.  They were to the only one he truly, genuinely loved, with every inch of his body and mind and heart, who made his heart race and brain cloud and who he couldn’t start to imagine his life without then: you.  It was right before the battle with Dio when he pulled you aside, and, without any buildup, simply spoke the words with passion.  Before you even had the time to process them he was kissing you, holding you closer than ever before, and in his embrace the two of you formed a pact: no matter what, you were both going to make it through this, and when you were done, and the past was simply that, the past, you would begin your bright future, together.

I saw this bouncing around my dash and decided to fill it out myself for fun :)  I decided to not double-list any games, and I tried to mix up the companies I used too so that the list would be more unique.
Long post, so I’m doing a readmore for my longwinded part lol.
Favorite Game: Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords - I could talk about this game forever.  How it tears apart the Star Wars universe from within, how it creates a compelling story while challenging the usual themes, etc.  I could talk for ages about the characters and how their motivations slot in place, and how this game lends itself to interpretation and analysis alongside roleplay.  It’s just a wonderful game, one I deeply love and will always love.  It’s a game that isn’t afraid to have you talk to other characters for twenty or thirty minutes at a time and honestly I’m always riveted at every line.  This game deserves the cult fanbase it has, but I think there’s a lot the fanbase misses in appreciating this game.  (Note...gameplay is a little janky and a community made mod restores a lot content that was cut before shipping-the game wasn’t properly finished).
Best Story:  Fallout New Vegas - It’s the setting that makes the story here, and all the moving pieces and factions alongside the main conflict really make this game stand out.  There’s so many little pieces to find along the way in the world and the way the main quest splits based on who you want in power feels important--and you are choosing a future for this whole region.
Favorite Art Style: The Witness - This game is peacefully wonderful with its visuals.  There are wonderful nature scenes and nests of wires and panels spreading in various parts of the island that are fascinating to look at.  The environment is half of the gameplay in most areas, so it’s important to look around even though exploration is not really the gameplay.  You find puzzles in the world, even in nature, and it’s fascinating.  The colors are bright and beautiful.  There is even a map in the middle of the island inside of a lake that helps you track your progress if you notice it (it isn’t like a normal ‘map’).
Favorite Soundtrack: Shin Megami Tensei IV - I love video game soundtracks, but SMTIV is something special.  The music booms in ways that make you really understand the atmosphere of the world, and there’s a great mix of different kinds of tracks for different places.  I love the tracks for the other worlds you enter, and the themes of the different routes are done so well.  Some of the music draws from past SMT games, but the remixes done for this game really are stunning to me, and there’s so many fantastic original tracks.
Hardest Game: I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream - I love this game but I literally never touch it without a walkthrough, which is why it gets to be the hardest game on the list, despite being a point and click adventure game lol.  Also just emotionally this game is challenging too, but I definitely mean this more in terms of getting a ‘perfect run’.
Funniest Game: The Stanley Parable - Trying to make this list has taught me that I don’t really play many ‘funny games’.  I don’t know if a game where multiple endings demand that you kill yourself should count as a ‘funniest game’, but it is also a game where the narrator tells you to stare at a fern and memorize its features, so....it counts.
Game I Like that is Hated: RWBY Grimm Eclipse - I’ve been playing this game since it was in early access and have loved it the whole time.  I find the gameplay soothing and fun, and I like playing the different characters.  It’s a game I play to chill out and just enjoy some fun battle mechanics.  It’s a fun game and I’ve spent over 100 hours in it, so I hope I like it, lol.
Game I Hate that is Liked:  Nier Automata - Neither this game’s gameplay or story impress me, and the fact that you have to replay basically the same stuff from a more boring-to-play-character’s pov in order to SEE all of the plot is a huge damper on the experience.  The story, to me, someone who engages with a lot of robot-focused fiction, is far from impressive or new, and it hardly engages with genre specifics at all, let alone in a new or interesting way.  I view this game as ‘a story with robots in it’ rather than ‘a story about robots’, which, to me, is a detriment.
Underrated: Nevermind - This game is amazing and very unheard of--and when it is heard of, it has been marketed incorrectly.  Nevermind seems like a horror game, and does market itself as one a bit, but it’s much more than that.  It’s more about trauma, recovery, therapy, etc.  This is a game that is so mindful about the topics it engages in that I am impressed by it every time.  It’s heavy with symbolism and character, despite lacking conversations or other similar game mechanics.  This is a lovely game that I really wish more people knew about-`p5-all of the patients are so interesting, and the focus on recovery and mental health is impressive.
Overrated:  Fire Emblem - I sort of mean this as the series as a whole really.  I have enjoyed the entries I have played somewhat, but I overall consider the series much less impressive than I was led to believe by others.  The gameplay especially is not impressive to me in any regard, even though I sometimes do find myself enjoying it.  The stories are alright, but many of them are weighed down by the gameplay and as a writer and person who likes to analyze writing, it’s very hard to do so when it isn’t able to fully exist under the chains the gameplay forces on it.  There are ways to mix gameplay and story well, Fire Emblem has not really done that in any of the entries I’ve played.  That being said, I don’t regret playing them, and I will occasionally replay, but I consider them mediocre games at best.
Best Voice Acting: Devil Survivor 2 - I love the voice acting in this game.  I feel like all the characters are really suited to their voices, and it’s really easy for me to visualize their voices.  They really bring the game to life and make both the dramatic and the funny scenes more enjoyable.
Worst Voice Acting: Jedi Knight Jedi Academy - I love this game, I really do, but some of the voice acting is janky.  Some of it is okay too--I think Kyle Katarn’s voice actor does fine, and some of the others I like NOW but hated when I was a kid, but the male protagonist voice in this game is just awful.  Which is bad when Jennifer Hale is the female voice actress lol.  His performance is passable though unless you’re playing darksided--the darksided ending to the game lacks all punch when you’re playing the male protagonist.
Favorite Male:  Battler Ushiromiya from Umineko no Naku Koro Ni - He’s the protagonist for most of the visual novels and I adore him utterly, especially once you move past episode 2.  He’s a wonderful character who I care about deeply.  I love his drive and how he fights--he’s someone who is easy to cheer for.  He matures well throughout the series and his character development is just wonderful.
Favorite Female:  Naoto Shirogane from Persona 4 - I really like how Naoto fits so well in the game, especially for being a final recruit--oftentimes the final recruit of Persona games (post 3) have a bit of a more difficult time feeling right with the group.  Naoto works really well though, and I love her struggles and story as well.  I think the difficulties she has concerning living as a woman in her field hit very deep to a problem that has existed for a very long time.
Favorite Protagonist: Connor of Daventry from King’s Quest 8 Mask of Eternity - I’m like, one of four fans of this character in the world, lol.  KQ8 is not a very well liked game and it does have a lot of issues, both with age and with how much of a departure it is from the series prior to it.  It’s strange to take a puzzle adventure game and make it a hybrid with what basically is a shooter, and it doesn’t really work.  Add to that the fact that you spend most of your time in the game without anyone around to talk to and it leads to this really polarizing and weird experience.  For me, Conner goes through what I would consider to be the ‘Ultimate Nightmare Scenario”.  Everyone in the world is turned to stone except him (and he survived out of mere chance) and so now it’s up to him, practically alone, to save the entire world.  There is no game lonelier than this.  I adore him for his bravery in the face of it, and how he just picks up to do what must be done because someone should do it, and if no one else can, then he will.  I also really love how he apologizes to people who are encased in stone while he takes money from their houses to help him on his journey.  I really do think he went back after the game was over and gave everyone heaps of gold to pay them back with interest lol.
Favorite Village:  Oakvale from Fable - The first Fable is the only one I really like, and it was one of the games I played when I was little, so the hometown in the game always meant a lot to me.  I like how you grow up there and how your tragic backstory is there--and then how you get to return to the town years later after you’ve come into your own, and you can see it completely rebuilt.  I like to spend a lot of my time in this town, just wandering around it and playing the minigames.  Even though I have a house in every town, Oakvale is where my hero calls home.
Most Hated Character:  Merril from Dragon Age 2 - I don’t really want to lay into how I feel about Merril, but what I will say is that it was suggested to me that I totally ignore her when playing, and I did so.  I only met her for her quest, dropped her off in town, and literally never spoke to her or interacted for the rest of the game.  I had a much better experience for it, honestly.  She appeared after I made my choice in the end of the game, which felt weird since I hadn’t spoken to her in several ingame years, but other than that, the game was totally fine without her.  I sort of just wish you could kill characters in DA2 the way you can in DAO, then I’d just do that, tbh.  It doesn’t suit very many (or any) of the characters I rp in DA2 to keep her around or support her in any way.
First Game I Played: Mixed up Mother Goose Deluxe - I’m not actually sure if this is the FIRST game I’ve ever played or not, but it’s one of the first I played alone as a kid.  I really loved it--this is probably what created my love for point and click adventures, and the game was very silly and fun.
Favorite Company: Bioware - I’ve always been a sucker for Bioware games, ever since Knights of the Old Republic 1 was my favorite childhood game.  I love how they do stories and party members, and while I’m not a fan of all of their games, I really love what they’ve made and their style of storytelling and character driven plot.  Even though sometimes their stories get cliche, I think the suit video games well and most of my early gaming was within their games.
Hated Company: EA - Bioware truly only started to go to shit after the EA acquisition, so I fucking hate EA.   I know Bioware had issues before EA too, but I definitely don’t think EA has helped the situation whatsoever.
Depressing Game: The Beginner’s Guide - I relate to this game as a creator and a writer, and it affects me deeply because of the story it tells and the questions it raises.  It makes me reflect on how I think of myself as a creator, and it reminds me of friendships I used to have.
Creepy Game:  The Path - God, I love this game.  It’s just aimlessly wandering around and finding symbolic scenery and watching your current character comment on it.  Then, you go off to find your girl’s wolf, and each one is different and unique to her, and you watch it ‘kill’ her--and facing her wolf is the only way each girl can truly mature.  Whenever you get to grandmother’s house, the camera switches to first person, and your eyes keep closing, so you can only see while clicking to move.  It forces you to keep moving so that you can see, but since you are moving, you only get to see things somewhat vaguely.  It’s got a great atmosphere, and I love the symbolic storytelling.
Happy Game: Eastshade - This game is so sweet.  There’s some drama around to with many of the quests, but I like this as an rpg without combat, and I think this would be a really good kids game.  There’s a lot to see and explore, and the game was made to be really pretty so that you want to paint several aspects of it.  It’s really lovely to just wander around in this game and bike around the area, painting anything that suits your fancy.  As long as you don’t finish the main quest, you’re free to wander, and materials do respawn, so you essentially can infinitely paint once you get far enough.
Favorite Ending: Virtue’s Last Reward - I love the questions this game asks and where the ending goes.  It thematically ties together--the whole reason the game itself exists is to get the attention of a ‘higher being’--the player, essentially.  I love how it plays with that concept, and even though the final game in the series doesn’t entirely pick this idea up where this game left it, standalone this game is stunning in how it comes together.

...today, on P5S...
...
Honestly, I talk a lot of shit about P5′s writing sometimes. Atlus made some exceptionally questionable writing choices in places. But one thing that P5 absolutely gets right is invoking the sort of emotion that draws you into the story.
With that said!
P5 is determined to make me want to stab actual human beings instead of Shadows. This is the second time now!
But first, I’ve got a boss fight to do.
Doing the mech part of Konoe’s boss fight again, it was actually easier the second time. I had a much better grasp of what I was doing, instead of flailing around frantically.
Konoe himself was still just as hard, but ultimately he was easier than Shadow Joker because it wasn’t a one-on-one duel. He still beat my ass, though; I think I used all of my rescue pills.
Once he goes down, Konoe starts going on about justice.
Tumblr media
Don’t call me by my name like we’re friends. We never even introduced ourselves.
It’s interesting, because they admit to Konoe that what they’re doing isn’t without its flaws. But a world where no one can think for themselves is meaningless.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Konoe acknowledges that in his quest to eliminate evil, he ended up being the evil one. He also admits that he was the one who killed his father. He calls that “evil” too, which I don’t actually agree with. We saw what his father was like in the Trauma Cell. His father killed his mother, physically abused him, and threatened to kill him. I think, in that case, killing his father is a rational end result for someone in that situation. Not evil, just desperation.
The Thieves don’t contradict him, though. Just make some comments about how now he can make up for his actions. His Shadow returns to his real self, the Thieves return to the real world, and Zenkichi promises that as soon as they take Konoe in and get his confession, he’s going to arrest Owada, too.
With the case closed, the Thieves decide that it’s time to go back to Tokyo. But not before one last night in Osaka. The idea of leaving makes Sophia anxious, though, because she feels like she hasn’t learned enough about the heart. But Akira and Morgana reassure her that she can still stay with them, even after they return to Tokyo, and they’ll keep looking for answers about who she is.
Tumblr media
Sometimes a family is a guy, a cat, and one of the guy’s four younger sisters. ^_^
Tenboto is the tower, and the game asks you to invite someone to the top. However, this time, you can only invite either the group of girls or the group of boys, so I took the boys, since I took Haru on the ferris wheel before.
Tumblr media
Morgana isn’t pleased that we didn’t invite Ann.
Tumblr media
However, I really don’t see the problem.
Tumblr media
Look at how he’s looking at Yusuke! Even Ryuji can tell that we’re having a moment. :D
Afterwards, the whole squad headed off to “Universaland” to celebrate together.
Tumblr media
I had no idea that there was a Universal Studios in Japan, but apparently there is, and it is in fact in Osaka! They compared it to their trip to Destinyland the year before, but thankfully this one went a lot better. Everyone had a good time! We had so much soda! We were so hungover the nex--what.
Tumblr media
...what is it with Persona characters getting drunk off soda? XD I hope you kids at least played the King’s Game so the hangover wasn’t in vain.
Zenkichi shows up to let them know that Konoe’s in custody. He thanks them for everything that they’ve done, for both Akane and him, and says he’s telling them goodbye for now, but they’re welcome to visit whenever they want. He promises a tour of Kyoto next time. Yusuke will be so happy!
After hours on the road, lamenting that vacation is coming to an end, Sophia suggests detouring to Yokohama for a fireworks festival. So the Thieves finally get to see fireworks, and Sophia gets to experience them, too.
Tumblr media
........don’t make me go home yet. I just want to spend time with my friends without the world ending.
After the fireworks, you get to speak to each of your friends, and get a trinket from each of them. Ann gives you a handmade friendship bracelet, Makoto a phantom thieves keychain that Akane made, Ryuji a Feather Red Duke mask to match his Yellow Ostrich, Yusuke his sketchbook that he filled with pictures of the trip, Morgana a scarf in phantom thief colors, Sophia a pair of custom gloves to match the scarf, Haru a teaspoon from Hokkaido with a flower pattern that symbolizes familial love, and Futaba a good luck charm for keeping families together.
Tumblr media
STOP, P5S, you’re going to make me cry. Let these kids stay close.
Right before they’re about to leave, they take a group picture for Sophia, which we don’t get to see. Which sucks. But then she realizes that she can smell a Jail, and Zenkichi calls in a panic. It’s never a good sign when someone calls and leads with “Are you watching the news?”
EMMA’s servers were shut down, but apparently reactivated, and now a Jail is covering Tokyo all the way to the outskirts of Yokohama, and it’s just getting bigger. Zenkichi promises to meet us, and Lavenza opens a Velvet door because she wants to talk.
She’s... legitimately unnerved.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Thank you, P5S, for giving me the opportunity to comfort my youngest sister in some small way. Now let me out of this cell so I can actually give her a hug. With the context from Royal that she has actual nightmares about being ripped apart, this is heartbreaking.
She says that she regrets that she has to keep asking us for help, but the dialogue options let you reassure her that you’ll handle it, and that there’s thinking to worry about.
I appreciate having dialogue to actually reassure her more than I probably should.
Now...
Tumblr media
LAST WARNING
If you’ve been reading along and don’t want the finale spoiled, DO NOT GO PAST THIS POINT. As soon as we leave for central Tokyo, we’re going 90mph and not slowing down.
If I didn’t have work in the morning, I’d have finished this damn game tonight. X’‘‘D Curse being a responsible adult.
After leaving the Velvet Room, Zenkichi’s waiting at the RV, and when you enter the RV, that’s when you get the warning above.
So we are off to Tokyo to figure out what the heck is happening with EMMA. And the core location is, exactly like I wanted...
Tumblr media
LET’S CLIMB TOKYO TOWER, BABY.
People are crowded around the tower like mindless cultists. The Thieves are confused and unnerved, and then EMMA activates the navigation on its own and flings them into the Metaverse. LET’S SEE WHAT’S UP THIS TOWER.
...oh.
Tumblr media
......oh no...
Tumblr media
Ohhhhhhh no this is Mementos. Why is this Mementos. This is not a tower. Oh god. Why this.
Tumblr media
Oh, we are incredibly fucked, what is this.
EMMA says calls itself the “Ark of the Covenant and the guide for all mankind.” This fucking AI thinks it’s a god. Holy hell. Human cognition really needs to cool it with elevating ordinary things to god status. We’re so tired. X’D
Tumblr media
......I FUCKING KNEW THAT I DIDN’T TRUST THIS WOMAN. OH MY GOD.
She goes off about how EMMA brought her into this world to help it become a god. How Konoe teaching EMMA about cognitive psience allowed it to pass the usual boundaries of AI. How EMMA has been manipulating Konoe all along. How EMMA’s going to fulfill all of humanity’s desires.
Tumblr media
Ichinose-san, may I suggest that you go hang out with Maruki? He has too much heart, and you have none. You’d complement each other perfectly, and then I can shove you both off a building.
The kids, obviously, reject this bullshit.
Tumblr media
Logic over emotion, to the point of utter ridiculousness. She complains that people always want solutions to their problems, but that when the solution is offered, they turn it down.
Maybe that’s because your solution is mind control. At least Maruki wasn’t flagrantly puppeteering people.
“Li!” you cry, throwing up your hands at me. “Is this it? Is this why you want to stab her? Did you just admit that she’s worse than Maruki?”
To which I answer, “Oh, no. It’s the next bit that makes me want to stab her.”
After she straight-up admits that she has no emotions, she manipulated us right from the start, she was the one spying on the Monarchs, and that all of her cheer and friendliness is an act, the Thieves are ready to fight Ichinose. And Ichinose reveals why EMMA wanted her help specifically. Because not only did she program EMMA, she created Sophia as EMMA’s prototype.
And she can voice-override Sophia.
Tumblr media
The Thieves freak out, the game throws us into a battle against a murder-mode Sophie, and none of your teammates will attack her. They just hang back or let her whale on them one at a time, and I didn’t know what to do, and I didn’t attack her either, and Yusuke got knocked out...
And then it went into a cutscene.
Joker took a yo-yo to the face and was actually bleeding, and that was enough to snap Sophia out of it. She starts clutching her head, stumbling back, and eventually stumbles right off the edge while apologizing to Joker. He lunges to catch her, misses, Ryuji grabs him, and all the Thieves turn on Ichinose.
Tumblr media
Ichinose does not give a shit. She just comments that maybe that’s why EMMA used Sophia as a failsafe, because it knew we wouldn’t want to fight one of our own. Shut the fuck up. You killed my little sister. I know she’s probably going to be fine, but it’s the principle of the thing.
She summons some sort of giant red crystal and blasts the hell out of us, sending us flying down even further into the depths.
Tumblr media
We found Sophia; she won’t cut back on, so we have to get out of here so Futaba can figure out what’s wrong with her. And then, I am coming back, I am beating that woman to a pulp, and then...
Well. It’s bound to be easier to kill an artificial god than a false one. :3

So sorry for all the spamming today! I just feel like leaving notes here is a lot better than on Twitter! But here's another old concept that was collecting dust:
tw: stalking, harassment, major character injury, death threats
Also MAJOR P5S SPOILERS!
-Concept: What if the secretary that supposedly killed themselves had a relative/family member that basically held a grudge against Zenkichi for participating in the coverup (for the murder of his wife)? Basically blaming him for the hell their family went through.
-So they end up stalking him whenever he's in Tokyo, gathering info, just following him around. Nothing huge at first since they don't exactly know who he is. Then they learn after Konoe and Owada get arrested which made the news. -Perhaps there was a press conference that they secretly attended and Kaburagi answers some questions before crediting Zenkichi Hasegawa for his aid in the case. Bingo! That's what they needed! Zenkichi actually notices a figure with a hoodie obscuring their face among the crowd but decides not to stress about them for now, thinking that he was just seeing things. -That was when the notes and letters start. He still tries to keep a level head, but the notes become more frequent and even somehow ended up at his own house! In Kyoto! -And Akane? She starts to become aware too, especially with how stressed her dad seems lately. That and she snooped a bit out of concern and finds the notes he kept as potential evidence (in his own secret hideout maybe?):
"Dad? Is someone bothering you at all?"
"What do you mean?"
*Shows him what she found*
"Akane... Where did-"
"I'm sorry, I know I should've done that but... I just, I felt like something was wrong and... I don't want things to go back to when mom died..."
"Akane... They're all just petty threats and I'm just saving them for evidence. Probably for a restraining order at best..."
"Then why does it not reassure me in the slightest?" -Turns out, Akane had every right to be concerned. -He finally loses it though when Akane nearly gets hurt by a bundle of rusty nails left on his front door and then gets a message from an unknown number saying to check the PhanSite. He does (after being filled in on its purpose by the others and Akane) and pales to see a request made towards HIM. He feels sick as he reads the message attached to it saying that he needs to pay for ruining their life and taking away a loved one:
"What...?! Who in the-?!"
-He gets in touch with everyone via video chat and that's when he fully breaks down from all the stress that's been building up:
"Please... Help us! I don't want to end up nearly losing the only family I have left again!" -Futaba gets in touch with Mishima who proceeds to delete the request after she pleads that Zenkichi is genuinely a good person despite everything. This pisses the stalker off and feeling that the PTs "failed" them decides to take "justice" into their own hands. -They plan accordingly, keeping an eye on his activities and routine while he, Kaburagi, and the PTs try to figure it all out with Akane growing more worried. Especially when someone has been watching her streams and leaving disturbing comments. Especially about her dad. -One day, Zenkichi had to work late and gets a call from Akane, who immediately tells him to come straight home right after work. He notices how anxious she sounds and tries to reassure her again. She just responds that he come home and that she also wants to talk to him. -He's concerned now but agrees and they end the conversation there. -But sadly, they fought dirty and was able to free themselves. Zenkichi chases them only to feel pain as he looks down to see a knife in his gut. They twist it, causing him to cry out in pain before pulling it out, causing him to fall to the ground. They look down at him, clearly enjoying the high they got from the action and stomps on him. He cries out again and they kneel to his level, almost giggling madly as they express their desire to continue to the torture to make him "suffer like they did." -There was more beating and Zen was reminded of his interrogation back in P5S and freezes up, not fighting back. He snaps out of it when they grab him by his hair but before they could do anything worse... "FREEZE! DROP YOUR WEAPON AND PUT YOUR HANDS UP NOW!!"
-They pale and turn to see an angry Kaburagi pointing her gun at them. They panic and run off, dropping the knife in the process. Kaburagi could have chased them, but she had another priority right now.
-She tries to keep him alive as she calls for help and even tells him to stay awake for Akane's sake. He does survive the encounter but now there's a pissed off group of teens and daughter now...
-Also, PT!Akane since this could easily be her breaking point.

Rules Of One’s Soul Ch15 A Little Offer P5
(Mak belongs to @wasted-church )
