"What time do you call this?" You knew you were fucked when the taxi dropped you home and the light in your kitchen illuminated the drive way. Your mum made a habit of turning it off every night and you were only getting away with this if everyone was asleep.

It was well past the time your mum and stepdad usually went to bed. Hell, it was well past the time you usually went to bed yourself. You didn't often stay up to 2:37am and you absolutely never stayed out that late. Despite the fact you're in your 20's, your new stepdad had set the rule that you were to be home by 1am every night. No exceptions. Asshole.

It usually wasn't hard to follow his rules. No boys in your bedroom. Don't stay out late. Fill up the fuel you use in the car. Nothing really out of the ordinary. But then again, he kept telling you that you weren't the rule breaking type anyway.

"Sorry, I lost track of time." You did your best to avoid looking at your stepfather while you lied through your teeth. You'd known damn well what time it was and you'd had every intention of staying out until the lights in the club came back on. You just didn't think you'd get caught.

"Mhm." Steve's hum almost sounded convincing, pausing while he folded his arms, his navy blue pyjama top straining around his biceps. "You expect me to believe that? You're a bright girl, sweetheart. I know you can tell the time."

Damn your own body for betraying you like this. His praise makes your tummy flutter and you know it's so damn wrong.

"I know you want to be a good girl, don't you?" He pauses again, waiting for your response and he seems satisfied when you nod. "Always so well behaved for me. You know what? I'll let you pick your own punishment. Just this once." His eyes are trained on your face, watching for any sign of discomfort at the way things are progressing.

"Option 1. I confiscate your car keys." Fair enough but that would be really inconvenient. "Option 2. I confiscate your phone." Oh no, absolutely not. "Option 3. I confiscate that shitty little vibrator you keep in the drawer beside your bed."

How does he even know you have that? It's mortifying enough that he feels able to punish you but this is a step further than you were expecting.

"No need to be shy about it, honey. I get it. You've got needs. Nothing to be embarrassed about. And if it makes you feel better, I could show you how a real man should touch you. You'll forget that little plastic thing even exists."

Fuck, that's an offer you could only ever have dreamed of. In fact, it's painfully close to what you imagine while you're frantically rolling the vibrator in question over your own clit.

"If you'd rather lose your car keys or your phone, feel free. Choice is yours." Steve sounds awfully nonchalant for someone who's just made a proposal like that but there's no chance you're turning down his offer.

"Option 3." Your voice is barely a squeak and you almost think you've made the wrong decision when Steve raises an eyebrow.

"Good girl. Go get it."

kny x tokyo ghoul au

was thinking abt following tokyo ghoul's storyline and making nezuko get organ donor ghoul-ified like kaneki but on second thought that seems a bit boring. the slayer marks (tanjiro's specifically- that one frame in the red light district arc where he looks like hes absolutely lost it) made me think of the sort of insanity thing with centipede kaneki when he started eating ghouls. (nezuko's bout of literally losing control of herself beating daki is probably a bit closer tho) dont know what to do with that. tanjiro being human and having to keep nezuko safe with her new life as a half-ghoul is pretty cool but i dont know. could make it different

#sakonji as coffee shop owner and sabito & giyuu as workers and the fox squad being the underground Good Ghouls makes me kick my feet #goth/alt vibe makomo as the mask maker MWAH and sabito & giyuu playing as regular college kids. giyuu 'eating' out with friends and #sabito drive-by eating his food before booking it (Sabito-! you bastard!) and later when theyre alone giyuu holding his hair back #(you should stop eating my food all the time..) ((im fine- as long as it makes it easier on you)) #tanjiro working as a server & nezuko more as #. #i forgot hanae-san also voiced Kaneki #what the fuck is it with him and voicing the main characters of anime about the morality of cannibalism #its not much but its weird that its happened twice #i completely fucking forgot abt that and here i am literally putting tanjiro in his place #as i was saying nezuko has a 'job' there but shes not actually employed or forced to work she just hangs around in uniform like her brother #while tanjiro's the one thats employed. shes the cute mascot of the place and sabito gets hype with her and it entertains ppl #sabito nezuko interactions beloved<3 she makes him go big brother mode #giyuu's behind the counter helping sakonji make coffee so he doesnt have to interact with people (as much) #something something also half-ghoul genya being an antagonist at first until tanjiro & nezuko's bond makes him change his mind #and he becomes the newest employee at the coffee shop. que him and sabito bickering at eachother like children and tanjiro being so #sweetfaced and genuinely kind to him & giyuu being a chill comforting presence he can go to #confides in them his fear about his brother and the guilt he feels for being around them bc it puts them in danger #mm #sweet au. great playing field to ruin absolutely everyone #i should rewatch/read tokyo ghoul its been almost a year i think #do that then decide how i want the au to play out if i want it to try to follow that storyline or if i should do some worldbuilding fuckery #of my own instead to completely change how nezuko & genya's half-ghoulness would happen #i remember i dropped tokyo ghoulre but i dont remember why. didnt bother after that Hide scene in the anime but i dont remember y the manga #i was listening to Seijatachi for writing vibes and stared a bit too long at the album image i put #kny #tokyo ghoul #kamado tanjiro #kamado nezuko #kny x tokyo ghoul au

Happy new year everyone!���

I wish you all experience good things in 2024. and will eat lots of good food as I did on the 13th of January.

#see i had to visit dentist on 13th i did i was there vut then there were some issues and i couldn't get the treatment done. so iw as #supposed to cone back but i didn't hehe. i took a day out. i took the metro and went ot thsi market which was not how i supposed it to be #but i ate golgappe so yumm then i bought a kurti so cute it is. then i went on to gave sone food and have this dleicious dosa and coffee #oh my god the cofffee was so ssoo goood. then i went on to thisbookstore at last. i was meaning to gk there qyite some days nthis wasthe day #i stayed there for i think 1 and half hour atleast and looked at books. i bought 3 books and had this brownie i was so full at this point #but i finished the brownie and then came back. so it was a me day which mostly includes roaming clueless in a city walking alot food books #and conversations with random ppl asking fir directions going into shops looking at pieces clothes flowers fruits etc #also i saw a very cute sweater for a baby ot was lilac it was so pretty #that's all #thus was my 13th of January #it was a good day i loved it i want more days like this forever #i wish you days like thjs #food #guess it's a foodblr now #february academia #food with books #bye bye #i love you

Goodreads has recommended "36 Cozy and Feel-Good Fantasy and Sci-Fi Books" in my inbox and like, setting aside my complicated feelings about "Cozy and Feel-Good" as an abstracted genre and my general distaste for the endless warm-blanketification of what literature should be, it lists both Sisters of the Vast Black and Piranesi, both of which I have read and both of which are fantastic and memorable precisely because they are incisive and unsettling.

#it also has the golem and the djinni which is also not what i'd call feel-good (though it's a great book) #like. becky chambers is i suppose feel-good without being pablum #but also I reread Memory from the Vorkosigan Saga when I'm feeling really low so that perhaps is indicative of me as a person #i am looking at the recs but I REFUSE to read what appears to be original fic coffee shop AU. fuck off with that.
