Hello! I have returned from a long break. I dropped out of college and started a job on a whim. I was actually feeling hopeless and I want to get my life back on track. So, I have decided to have this blog and document my days. I may not post everyday but I plan on posting weekly.

100 Days of Productivity [15/100 to 21/100]

Procrastinated on writing a tumblr blog, dang. I did not do my best on day 15 but ramped it up on day 20 and 21 because something at work was on fire. Goal was 2.5H of focused work, actual was 1.7H of focused work. I'm counting podcasts as focused work now. I hate lofi and movie soundtracks. I can only listen to the Batman soundtrack so many times.

Exercise: Doc wanted me to exercise more, 10 mins a day. I did 2 days of running for 10-15 mins before I was winded. It hurt badly because I am not in shape. I do feel better because of the meds I'm on. I didn't get my focus drugs. I'll probably never get them. I guess that's ok.

Freelance: I got the map done, not how they wanted it. There will be some API costs. Will discuss it with bf's mom/our project mentor later.

Books: I finished the David Goggins book and am ready to start a new book.

It has been a week of laying in bed to recover from the vaccine's side effects and then spending the last two days of the work week catching up on reading, writing and editing as fast I can go.

Other than setting aside time to have a virtual game session with friends and a dinner date with the bestie, the rest of the time will probably be spent working so that I will be caught up for the week ahead.

Starting fresh in quarantine! This time I'll try to stay consistent and post daily for at least 14 days. I have no excuse not to post beacuse my Uni is closed due to Corona virus pandemic. All things considered, I have to be responsible and motivate myself a little bit harder now even though my deadlines are postponed. 6/7 days of productivity

As i predicted, i was exhausted after the aquarium and did not even do the essay i planned to - just played Spyro for like three hours , which is way longer than i intended

we had some shark births at the aquarium, the guy pictured above is one of the oldest, but we had some day old dogfish pups too - one of which was very premature and had to have a makeshift egg casing made for it (thankfully he survived)

Tomorrow I have to write the essay before seeing my tutor, and then I’ll be heading off with my friend to a new cbd cafe!

Day 10/100 My big came to visit me today! She helped me plan some things for my grad party and then we played some jackbox games with my sister! I also got Nep an ID tag to help prepare her for our move at the end of the month (ITS SO SOON!!!!!) . Day 11/100 We went to go visit Rich’s family today! It was so nice to just hang out with them and talk. When we got back I spent some more time planning things for the grad party this weekend! .

100 Days of Productivity [8/100 to 14/100]

Well, I’m not sure what happened. I missed my goal by a lot. My goal was 2.5H a day but I only managed 1.38H a day. I’m going to try another week where my goal is 2.5H a day and holy shit, I only did 9 mins of work (excluding meetings) yesterday.

For the freelancing website me and the BF are making, we just signed the contract so we’re also doing that for the next 2-3 months. I made BF apply to like the only engineering company in town, which opened a factory just last year. He had a phone screen yesterday and has an interview set up for next Tuesday, they have 5 positions and his former coworkers are there because it pays a lot more and has room for promotion.

I told him we’re going to study for the PMI (project management institute?) certification together in a few years. I would probably be a garbage project manager because I hate talking to people, making project schedules is mind-numbing, and can’t pay attention in meetings but fuck it why not. If he gets that job, he will be busy then I’ll have to do the website myself while I myself am on probation at my job but its WordPress so I’m not worried. This is a great opportunity for him and he didn’t push back on this because it’s in town. We wouldn’t have to move to the San Francisco or San Jose and suffer from the cost of living/crime/commute.

So for now, 2-3 months freelance WordPress website (March, April, June), after that Leetcode for 2-3 months (July, August, September), after that apply for remote jobs (August +). I’m going to keep the freelancing timekeeping off of this Notion database so I’ll know if I’m screwing off at work. Still watching study with me livestreams, still getting more done than when I started.

Days of Productivity 13/100 | May 5th, 2022

I have always considered myself a perfectionist.

I thought that was why I was always behind my time schedule , and cramming for the due dates.

But that was not the case, now I see that I was just scared to admit that I couldn't bear the disappointment that would come from the smallest failure.

I know I would not be able to fix this in a day or two, but I am going to try doing things one by one, even if that means that the results will disappoint me. At least I gave a shot before it's too late.

It's the end of the weekend and I don't feel as caught up with the workload as I idealistically expected I would be.

That being said, I got the most important tasks out of the way and I've been thinking a lot about the next step for my personal education journey.

The pandemic has certainly put a spanner in the works for what I want to pursue.
