“He’s gonna plus-four.”
With a smug grin, they begin sifting through the cards in their hand once more. He whipped his head around to face their captive, hanging by a rope in the ceiling tied around one ankle, and fixed them with a glare.
“Shut up! How are you even seeing these clearly?!”
“He has his priorities set straight.” They interrupted, laying down three skips, one reverse, and a red plus-two.
“Uno.” They grinned as they said it. For the third time in this god-forsaken round.

Captivity
There was escape from this torment. From the captivity he found himself trapped in. And it was all his fault.
He accepted the offer proposed. Took his future and the walk into his cell with pride, determined not to break. But hours stretched on. The torment fierce. His face hurt, the torture device over his eyes twisted everything around him.
Would there ever be an end? When would he be able to stand again on his own two feet and walk out of there?
A hand grabbed his. Eyes gleamed in excitement. At least the one who brought him there was thrilled.
Another hour ticked by. The pain in his body, mentally and physically, almost escaped in a groan. No, he reminded himself, there could be no signs of discomfort. At one point, his eyes nearly closed in blissful unconsciousness, but that hand from before brought him back.
There would be no escape.
Lights filled his prison, blinding him. The darkness had grown to be a comfort in his plight.
Then the hand grabbed his again and helped him up. The torture device fell from his face and clattered to the floor as he looked upon her.
Blue eyes shined with love and adoration. “Did you enjoy the movie?” she asked, an air of innocence about her.
Had he? Over three hours of watching a ship sink had not been on his bucket list, not even his ‘might be interesting’ list. But seeing her face so bright and full of love after experiencing it with him made him smile. “It was good.”
He took her hand and gave a light squeeze. “Ready to head home?”
She nodded, holding his arm close to her chest. “Yeah, and thank you for coming with me.”
“Of course, what kind of husband would I be to let you go to see a movie alone on Valentine’s Day?”
“Still,” she worried her lower lip, “I know you weren’t all that excited to see it.”
“Hey.” He pulled her back and tilted her head up. When her eyes lifted and met his, he gave her a bright smile. “I would see any movie if it meant I could spend more time with you. Doing anything with you by my side is worth it. I love you.”
Nuzzling into his hand, her lips mirrored his. “And I love you.”
Like so many days since he had met her, a flutter filled his chest and filled him with warmth. Maybe the movie had not been so bad. It had been his first time seeing it on the big screen, and there was an art the director used with each shot. And if it brought such joy to her, then he would be more than willing to be a captive to whatever she wanted to experience with him.

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!!! Whether it is singles awareness day, enjoy the day with your friends, or with someone special, I hope everyone was able to indulge in a special treat for themselves!
This morning, I thought of the prompt and that I was dragging my husband to see Titanic in theaters today. He had seen it before, but didn’t think it was that great. After the movie, I realized he had never seen it on the big screen and he said it made a big difference.
So, while I thought of him pre-movie being tortured of having to sit through a 3+ hour movie, in reality, he thoroughly enjoyed it.
Still, I could not help but write it down and share it.
Since it is a small drabble, I will only be posting it here.
For those enjoying my Fairy Tail stories, I am sure they will continue tomorrow!
Hope you all enjoy!
