I just realised that Star Trek TOS predicted the experience of any healer in any type of cooperative game. Like from DND to MMOs to team games like those multiplayer team FPS type games

Because I haven't played a lot of those but anyone I have met or seen talk about playing a healer character has had Bones energy

Of the "Yes I'm healing you but I also want to strangle you because you WON'T STOP RUSHING AT DEATH!" variety

The "If you LISTENED TO ME I wouldn't need to heal you and we could have finished this by now!" energy.

The "you are all ungrateful little shits and next time...I'll still heal you but I while fantasising about knocking you unconscious so i don't have to deal with your bullshit" vibes

Writers of character who have healing abilities, before you say that they can heal without a scar consider this. Can they can they revert the state of the person/area to before it was injured or can they enhance healing process? Because standard speeding up of the healing process leaves a scar. A scar is an area where the collagen in the skin is aligned in one directions rather than the random linking of normal skin, but certain animals with perfect regeneration can heal without scars. Are you characters able to enhance the human healing process to restore cross linking?

A healer of the remedial abyss 🪶

This was meant to be a lil rendering experiment but that didn’t work out. However I have been wanting a character based on a golden pheasant for a while so I thought I’d still use the sketch, plus my friend was considering running a wuxia game in the future so here’s my demon bird alchemist!! Hey! So today is a beautiful venusian day. And every venus day I love to express gratitude to the goddess flow. I picked four from egyptian mythology and wanted to do something connected to the energy.

Alright. So lets begin :)

GROUP 1 - BASTET

a female character isn't allowed to be a character that is also female. she isn't allowed her own agency and complex motives nor any deeper emotions without it being centered around the male cast around her or a child. even if she's not a mother, she remains one because she could always potentially become a mother or she is the ‘mom character’ to the men/children around her and her actions MUST reflect that. if they don't, she's labeled a selfish bitch. if she is an (actual) mother than that's all she is—she isnt allowed deeper characterization or discussion because thats all she'll ever be, that's all she was made to be. male characters are allowed to be fathers (lireral or in the sense of providing for the people around them) with deeper feelings but a mother? never a mother.
