AO3 and Pixiv Stats for BNHA ships

In this post I will consider what the most popular ships in Japan (pixiv) are!

The ships considered are:

Izuocha, Kacchako, Kamijirou, Todomomo, Bakudeku, Kiribaku, Tododeku, Todobaku, DekuTsuyu, Miritama, Erasermic, TamakiNeji, Togachako, Tsuchako, Kiribaku, Momojirou and Kirimina. In the graphs you will see MM ships in blue, FF ships in pink and FM ships in green.

At the end of the post you will find the ships name I used, in Japanese. They are in order of first fanwork publish, just noticed that for m/m pairings I put the two versions (ex. dekubaku+bakudeku) together as on AO3 there is no distinction and the ship is still the same, even if in Japanese fandoms the distinction is quite important.

This post is divided in just an analysis on pixiv (1. Pixiv) and a comparison with fandom on AO3, being it the biggest usually English based fanfics site (2. AO3 vs Pixiv). Of course, keep in mind that Pixiv is mainly for fanarts! This post is simply about ship popularity, so how common the ship is, unfortunately there is no centralized English based website with an easy way to catalogue fanarts.

THE SUMMARY:

Bakudeku is the most popular ship both on pixiv and AO3

Kiribaku is very popular on AO3, but not as popular in Japan (pixiv), same for Erasermic

Izuocha is the most popular FM ship on AO3, Todomomo is the most popular ship in Japan (pixiv)

FF ships are not very popular on pixiv

The top 4 FM ships are Izuocha, Kacchako, Kamijirou and Todomomo. They have very similar numbers on pixiv, but on AO3 Izuocha is almost the double of Kamijirou (and Todomomo).

The top 3 ships in Japan are Bakudeku, Tododeku and Todobaku. The top 3 ships on AO3 are Bakudeku, Kiribaku and Tododeku

Let´s look at the total numbers:

This is the total numbers for each ship on pixiv. In first place we have Bakudeku, in second place (with half the works of Bakudeku) we have Tododeku, followed by Todobaku and then Kiribaku. Todobaku and Kiribaku have similar numbers.

In fifth place we have Todomomo, followed by Izuocha, then Kacchako and Kamijirou. Interestingly, these are the four main FM ships all with very similar numbers.

FF ships are not very populars, and the numbers are very low.

If we look only at FM ships:

We can see that Todomomo is the most popular FM ship, with 1886 works. In second place, but very close we have Izuocha with 1827 works, then Kacchako with 1770 works and finally Kamijirou with 1686 works.

2. AO3 vs PIXIV

We cannot just compare the raw numbers as pixiv generally has less fanworks. Pixiv's total BNHA fanworks are 94413 at the time of this post (15 July 2022), while AO3 BNHA's fanworks are 240448, which is basically 2 times and a half more than pixiv.

For this reason, I think the best way to compare is checking the percentage of a ship over the total fanworks. For example, if Tamaneji has 119 works on Pixiv, we check what percentage is that of the total 94413 (basically 119/94413*100), and the same for AO3.

This way we are comparing how many works each ship "occupies" as a mean of popularity.

Keep in mind that this time the colors will be orange for AO3 works and black for pixiv works.

This is the total graph!

In first place for both AO3 (orange) and pixiv (black) we have Bakudeku, even if you can see that Pixiv has a higher percentage of Bakudeku than AO3.

In second place for AO3 (orange) we have Kiribaku, with a little less than 12%... but on pixiv Kiribaku is not really that popular, as you can see that the black bar is much smaller. Instead on pixiv the second most popular ship is Tododeku, which has a very similar popularity on AO3.

Todobaku is in fourth place for both servers, but considerably more present on pixiv than AO3.

Izuocha is fifth place, surpassing Todomomo, and is quite more popular on AO3 than pixiv. Same for Kacchako. All the FF ships are much more popular on AO3.

The only other difference is Todomomo, which is less popular on AO3 than pixiv.

Now let´s look at the ships more in detail. On AO3 you can select Otp_true to keep only the fanworks that have one tag, the ship tag. Let´s see if anything changes:

FF SHIPS:

FF ships are much more popular on AO3 than pixiv. In particular, Momojirou is almost 8 times more popular. But if we look at "otp- true", so stuff only tagged as the ship, we see that the popularity between pixiv and AO3 is quite similar.

FM SHIPS:

For FM ships, we see that Izuocha is almost double in popularity on AO3 compared to Pixiv. Kirimina is also almost 5 times more popular on AO3 than Pixiv. While Todomomo, TamaNeji and TsuyuDeku are more popular on pixiv.

When we consider otp_true, Izuocha on AO3 becomes less than half of the percentage that it has on pixiv. Kacchako becomes the most popular ship on AO3, but still less than pixiv. With otp_true both Kamijirou and Todomomo go to very small numbers, while Kirimina, TsuyuDeku and TamaNeji almost disappear.

MM SHIPS:

As we can see, Bakudeku is more popular on pixiv than AO3, and when we use the otp_true, this popularity doubles. Interestingly, only AizawaMic and Kiribaku are more popular on AO3 and basically have very low percentages on Pixiv.

hello i am here to say that i fell in love with any of your content with kaminari. its SOOOO not because of the 2nd episode of season 6 HAHAHA haha ha.... okay maybe it is but denki and jirou is the only ship that i accept ever in my entire life BCS THEM <3 i literally cried searching kamijirou on pinterest and saw the manga panel that was animated and my brother asked if i was okay or not and i will never be okay with this i am in love with them. *SPOILER WARNING IF U HAVENT WATCHED S6 EPS 2 YET* but omg when midnight told denki that speech I EXPECTED HIM TO LOOK BACK TO SEE YK HIS CLASSMATES bcs i forgot like 85% what i read in the manga and i never read it seriously and also bcs my love for them would be like "oh what if hes thinking abt jirou" AND THEN BOOM SHE APPEARS AND OMYGOSH anyways thats me fangirling abt kamijirou thank you very much. *SPOILER ENDS* also i hope u have a nice day/night flora!! dont forget to drink lots of water and dont skip any meals okayyy? love u lots

being a kamijirou shipper is hard sometimes bc i look for fan art and stuff and so much of it feel straight??? and the thing about kamijirou is that i ship them in a distinctly queer nonbinary bisexual way and just. its not it when theyre straight its NOT IT

Practice

Summary Below:

Hiya! So I got this idea. I ship Kaminari with a lot of people. Jirou, Sero, and Shinsou. So I thought, I could combine two of them. In this piece of writing, Kaminari has a crush on Jirou and is planning on asking her out soon. However, he’s scared that she’ll try to kiss him. It’s not that he doesn’t want to kiss her, it’s that he’s never kissed anyone before. So, he complains to Sero about it. Sero then offers practice like a good friend would. This is significantly more KamiSero cantered than KamiJirou, btw.

*NOT SMUT!*

Kaminari flopped down onto Seros floor and sighed, loudly, and noticeably. At first, Sero didn’t say anything. He kept his eyes glued on his video game in front of him and his fingers flew across his controller. He was in a aggressive mode of concentration.

“Sero,” Kaminari whined and reached in his direction, “Hey.”

Sero cleared his throat and quickly said “Just a sec, ‘bout to beat this level. Then we can talk.” Kaminari clicked his tounge and flopped his hand down on the floor.

After a few minutes, Sero whisper-shouted a victory announcement and saved his game. Then, he placed down the controller and relaxed more comfortably on his bean-bag.

“What’s up?” Sero asked, placing his hands in his hoodie pocket. Kaminari sat up to sit next to him, leaning against Seros bed frame. Then, he spoke.

“Well... I like Jirou, you know?” Kaminari sighed.

“Yeah, you talk about her like- all the time.” Sero stated. Kaminari chuckled.

“Shut up,” he said playfully, “Anyways. I like her- a lot. Okay? And I want to tell her.” He continued.

“Dude, go for it. She *totally* likes you back.” Sero encouraged. He then adjusted his position so that he was laying down, looking up at Kaminari.

“No man, that’s not the problem. I hope she likes me back- well- I think she does but...” Kaminari trailed off.

“But...?” Sero encouraged him to keep going.

“Yeah- but I’ve never kissed- anyone- before...” Kaminari mumbled, looking away slightly embarrassed.

“That’s it?” Sero asked bluntly. Kaminari nodded. A few seconds of silence prevailed until Sero got up. He padded over to his drawers and searched through. He then grabbed a small white container and opened it, three white objects in a pill shape spilled out. He put one in his mouth, one back in the tin, and handed one to Kaminari.

“Mint?” He asked. Kaminari grabbed it and popped it in his mouth.

“Thanks.” Kaminari whispered, unsure of what Sero was doing. Sero then sat down and inhaled deeply. He was preparing an encouraging speech.

“Well, I think it’s totally normal to be nervous. I mean- I was nervous for my first kiss so I totally get it. But really, as long as you don’t like- lick her face, I think you’d be totally fine! It’s not like you’re gonna make out with her right away.” Sero chuckled at his own joke. Kaminari laughed aswell, however, he was stuck on one thing Sero mentioned.

“You’ve had your first kiss?” Kaminari asked, the tips of his ears ever so slightly red. Sero nodded.

“Huh. Didn’t know that. Well, thanks man. But I can’t help but worry you know?” Kaminari looked down at his hands, he moved them for emphasis.

“How do you- do it- like, I know it’s not hard I just don’t know how.” Kaminari complained, he then pursed his lips in a classic kissy-face. “Obviously, you’re not gonna do it like that, so like- how else?” He complained further.

“Well yeah-“ Sero began, laughing, “You obviously don’t do that.”

“Yeah. I know.” Kaminari leaned his head back, and set his hands down in his lap.

“I guess I’m just scared I’ll fuck everything up. I wish I had more experience. Every girl I’ve asked out has said no, or, they just flirt for a bit and leave. Jirou, she- she’s the only person I actually think has ever liked me like I like them.” Kaminari added, sounding slightly more troubled. Sero tapped his shoulder to get him to look at him.

“You won’t fuck up.” He reassured. Kaminari shrugged it off, he didn’t believe him.

“Well,” Sero began, Kaminari looked up to hear what he was going to say, “Kiss me then.”

Kaminaris eyes widened and he sat up straight. Suddenly, his face, chest and neck all got hot. Kiss Sero? The thought made his breath hitch. Kaminari didn’t necessarily like Sero in the way that he liked Jirou, however, he couldn’t help but be nervous at the offer. Sero was a pretty boy, after all. There was no denying that.

“But you’re-“ Kaminari started, nervously.

“Straight?” Sero asked, Kaminari nodded in reply. Sero scoffed,

“Who cares if I’m straight. It’s not like I’m kissing you because you’re in love with me, I’m just doing you a favor.” Sero replied, Kaminari rubbed at the back of his neck and looked away. He was trying to get the obvious blush he had to go away.

“Oh- you don’t have to man. No pressure.” Sero added. Kaminari shook his head, almost too urgently.

“No- it’s okay. I think practice might be good.” Kaminari admitted.

“Yeah, practice.” Sero said, testing out the words in his mouth.

“Well. First of all, don’t do that stupid thing with your lips you did earlier.” Sero said, adjusting himself so his body was leaning towards the blond. Kaminari laughed and nodded, feeling a little less uncomfortable than before. Kaminari also adjusted so he was facing Sero.

“Oh and, I’ll initiate it. You can worry about how to initiate later. And close your eyes, please.” Sero added to his instructions. Kaminari nodded, and closed his eyes. Something about the word “later” though, made his throat close in ever so slightly.

Then, there was an unfamiliar warmth against his jaw, it was Seros hands. Sero tilted his face up and began to lean in. Kaminari was very nervous. Not that he didn’t want to kiss him- it was just that it would be his first. Plus, Kaminari was into boys too, which seemed like an added pressure. What if he liked it too much?

“Hey. Breathe. No need to be nervous, I won’t hurt you.” Sero reassured. He must’ve noticed the blonds stiffness. Kaminaris eyes fluttered open to see Sero closer than before. He smiled and untensed. He would be just fine. Besides, kissing your best friend is better than practicing on your hand, right?

“Okay, close your eyes.” Sero instructed. Kaminari did as told. And almost immediately, an unfamiliar pair of lips was pressed against his. Seros lips where warm, it was odd, but he didn’t mind it. But just as soon as they came, they left.

“Move your lips, dude. You don’t wanna be stone faced.” Sero said as he pulled away. Kaminari flushed.

“Sorry.” He replied.

“No worries.” Sero forgave. He then moved his hand to the back of Kaminaris neck. Great, now he could feel Kaminari blush from nervousness.

He then saw Sero close his eyes, and this time, Kaminari leaned in a little too. He closed his eyes and when their lips met, he made a little motion with his own lips. It made an odd noise against the others and he immediately pulled away an grimaced.

“Ew.” He laughed. Sero smiled.

“It’s supposed to be like that.” Sero encouraged, pulling an amused smirk. Kaminari looked a little disgusted.

“If you’re not gonna be able to kiss me, how are you gonna be able to kiss her?” Sero taunted. Kaminari rolled his eyes a little. But, he knew Sero was right.

Sero kissed him once more. And again, and again. They didn’t talk between these ones, it was just practice. Of course the noise of their lips meeting still bothered Kaminari, but, it was kind of nice. Maybe a little too nice...

Sero pulled away and wiped his mouth. Something about the action made Kaminari go red. God, he shouldn’t be that pretty...

“Oh. Sorry. You shouldn’t wipe your mouth immediately after. Some people find that rude.” Sero apologized. Kaminari thought that was weird, in fact, he found it attractive.

“Why? I thought it was...” Kaminari trailed off then shook his head. He stopped himself by saying “I’m not finishing that sentence.” Sero laughed lightly.

Then, they both leaned in again. This time, their teeth banged together and they both pulled away and laughed way louder than before.

“Oh my god!” Kaminari exclaimed, covering his face with his hands as he laughed.

“Okay-“ Sero began while giggling, “Avoid that at all costs.” He guided. Kaminari nodded.

“Obviously.” He replied.

It was then that the Blond noticed how much the space between them had changed. Sero’s face wasn’t more than 30cm (11 inches) away. Plus, their legs where somehow perfectly placed so that they where rather close to eachother. Kaminari gulped. They where right across from each other, practically gazing into eachothers eyes. When did his eyes start to sparkle like that?

“We can stop at anytime, you know.” Sero poked, making sure he wasn’t uncomfortable. Kaminari shook his head lightly.

“It’s okay.” Kaminari whispered back. He had the sudden urge to not go for a simple peck this time, but rather, let it linger just a little longer.

They both leaned in once more. This time (thank the lord), it was their lips that met. Kaminari did the same movement with his lips he had done before. They stayed for a second or two until Sero disconnected.

“Good.” He whispered. Kaminari suddenly felt his stomach flutter from the way he said it.

Kaminari hesitated, but his hand found its way to Seros shoulder for better support.

They kissed again. Kaminari still wanted it to last a little longer, though, so he didn’t pull away right away. Instead, he kissed him for a few seconds more. Sero didn’t pull away immediately either.

Once he had, he said, “You’ve got it.” And smiled, Kaminari smiled too. He pulled away further, widening the space between them.

“Do what you just did again to her when it happens, make it last a little longer alright?” Sero instructed. Kaminari nodded. He was feeling a lot less nervous now.

And with this new found confidence, he wanted to try kissing Sero. He wanted to initiate.

“Can I try, like, initiating it?” Kaminari asked first. Sero smiled and bit his lower lip. This action confused (and attracted) Kaminari, so he cocked his head.

“Oh, just thinking that you’re getting confident now. Yes, you can.” Sero said.

“Pretend I am the girl of your dreams.” Sero teased. Without hesitation, Kaminari leaned in and kissed him once more. Sero didn’t expect this so his eyes where open, but he quickly closed them and reciprocated the kiss. Then, Kaminari pulled away.

“Kissing me to shut me up, wow. You flirt!” Sero teased. Kaminari laughed. Then realizing that his hand was actually on Sero’s chest now and not his shoulder. His inhaled sharply, but tried to cover it up.

“Once more.” Kaminari said. Sero nodded approvingly. And then, for the last time of that night, their lips met. Though it wasn’t happening psychically , it felt like Kaminari was sparking. After a few seconds they pulled away. Kaminari at first looked to be dazed, however, that expression immediately changed into accusation as a thought struck him.

“Is this why you gave me a breath mint?!” He accused. Sero laughed and pushed Kaminari’s hand off his chest. Kaminari gasped.

“Did you plan this?” He asked, pointing a finger at him. Sero looked at him with a shit eating grin.

“It was just in case.”

Kaminaris jaw dropped. He wasn’t mad at all, no, he was amused. But he still pushed Seros shoulders away and called him a whore jokingly.

After their laughter had died down, Kaminari thanked Sero. The whole situation seemed rather odd, however, it did make him more confident for when the time to confess came. Sero shrugged off his thankfulness and said “It’s what friends do.” Which they laughed about again.

It’s what friends do.

Oh no. Kaminari is catching feelings!

As Kaminari retired to bed for the night, he couldn’t help but think about what had happened earlier. Slowly, his hand lifted to his bottom lip and he lightly touched it. He kissed him... He kissed a boy... He couldn’t help but blush. Maybe, just maybe, he had enjoyed it a little too much. And maybe, he’d come to him for kissing advice again. And maybe, that time it wouldn’t be just because he needed practice. Maybe it would be because he liked the feeling of his lips. Not pretending it was hers. Just his. Maybe, he wanted to kiss him like he was in love with him and not Jirou. Maybe, he liked him more than he thought.

Andddd all done! I hope you guys enjoyed reading it! The second bonus part is actually based of personal experience after I (accidentally) kissed a friend I had a crush on. It was my first kiss, too. Rather weird. But anyways. That moment in my real life is what inspired the finger-to-lip imagery because that’s what I did right after. I do! I don't actively search content for all of them but I'm a multishipper so if I come across something interesting, I'm not above adding it to my list. That's how I ended up shipping some of these, haha. So in no particular order, here are my main ships:

Hi anon ☺️ I guess I could list a few of my favourite ships, I’ll put a ⭐️ for platonic ships and a ❤️ for romantic ships

BakuDeku (⭐️/❤️) - It’s quite a controversial ship given the history, but I personally find them an interesting dynamic and with Bakugou’s recent development it just warms my heart! Also can’t lie I have read fluffy and romantic one-shots of them on AO3 😬!

KamiJirou (❤️) - It was a ship that I at first wasn’t interested in, but slowly it grew on me and their moment in the war arc sealed it for me. I’m 99% sure if any ships will be canon, this one next to Ochako & Deku will be canon!

TodoDeku (⭐️) - Can I really say anything other than I just find their friendship so refreshing, and like Deku’s‘Todoroki is my precious friend’ 🥺 so cute!

KiriMina (❤️) - Another ship I would not be shocked about if it became canon, but I also love their dynamics! It’s a cute ship!

KiriBaku (⭐️) - I love that Kirishima was able to gain Katsuki’s respect, and I just find their friendship nice! I love that Kirishima isn’t really fazed by Katsuki’s aggression 😂.

TwiceToga (⭐️) - So definitely not romantically because of the age-gap, however the friendship between them was just *chef’s kiss* perfection! The way they both cared for each other 🥺 I wish I had a friendship like theirs, hell I wish I had a friendship like TodoDeku’s too 😂!

There are other ships I do enjoy too, like two honourable mentions are Shiggy X Spinner and Toga X Ochako! I’m open to more ships to fall into my lap at some point!

I do have a few that I hate to the bitter end, and that are ships between like adults X students or family members x family members! I can also list like three ships I have a big No-No feeling for!

DabiHawks - They’re round about the same age yes, but the only interactions they have had are negative! Like Dabi tried to roast Hawks alive, after Hawks murdered his friend and comrade Twice! Plus also Hawks has 😍 for Endeavor so not really a great combo!

EndHawks - I don’t like the two characters so I don’t search for this ship anyways, but I don’t know I find it quite uncomfortable honestly! Like Hawks is younger than his eldest son, and the same age as his daughter.

TwiceHawks - I mean can I say anymore other than the dude was murdered by the man, I don’t care if he supposedly liked him he murdered the man! No thanks!

Those are three ships that I’m not all too keen on, in fact I could even say hate them ships! I’m also not too keen on TogaDeku 🤷‍♀️! I never listed them but I have seen and have the knowledge to know that, people have and do romantically ship Shouto with his father or his siblings, or the whole Todoroki family in general with each other in big incestious ships! Those are big GIANT ass no-no’s for me!

Disconnected Fate: Soulmate AU/Quirkless AU - Sero x Reader

Synopsis: Soulmates were something to be treasured. The second half of your soul, finally connecting, becoming one. But, you couldn’t really rely on that if your string is cut. But will meeting someone with your same fate change that?

“Mina, I don’t think this fits very well,” you laugh at your figure in the mirror, turning your body and running your hands down the fabric to slim it down. Mina opens to you, practically jumping at you before placing her hands at your shoulder to rotate your body; jaw dropping at the sight.

“Y/n, shut the hell up. You look so fucking sexy it’s not even funny,” she chuckles, giving your ass a playful smack before tugging at the thin strap that held your dress up. The strings connected to a loose bateau neckline, showing a little cleavage, and looking down, you see the way your snug dress brings out your curves and hips. Wow- you really did look amazing, didn’t you? “Okay, that should do it. Are we ready? The guys are probably waiting for us.”

Your head whips to your friend, who definitely did not tell you about boys being with you. “What? Boys- boys? Mina.”

She looks back at you with a shocked look, making it seem like you knew, and gave a blank, “what?”

“Why didn’t you tell me there would be boys? I only know like, three other people from your friend group, and I’m not even sure they like me.” You complain, leaving the closet for the bathroom to touch up on your makeup before hearing your other bestie chime in.

“Don’t worry, y/n! I like having you around very much, and I’m sure the others will, too!” Momo says, finishing her mascara.

“Yeah, and you’re fun to duet and play with,” Kyouka acknowledges while painting her nails.

“See?” Mina remarks. “They love you. Eiji has already told the others, and none of them have anything bad to say!”

“Yet.”

“Kyo!”

“Kidding~” she corrects.

“Y/n, you’ll be fine. Don’t worry about it, they’ll love you. Just...I don’t know, be yourself!”

“Thanks, Mina, that actually helps a lot,” you smile sarcastically before turning your smile flat. “I’ll be sure to do that once I get over the fact that I’ve never hung out with your friends before.”

“Oh my God, y/n. Stop stressing. You’ll be fine.” Mina assures. “And maybe you’ll find a little special someone~” she vocalizes and points to the ring finger of your right hand.

Oh. Right. You thought, looking down at your hand. The red string tied to your finger that connected you to the person the universe wants you to spend the rest of your life with. The string that leads you to the person you’ve always wanted, needed. Your soulmate. You had always wanted that person to come in your life, to sweep you off your feet and be with you for the rest of your days, but it was hard to believe in all that when your string was cut. Your string connected you to your soulmate, so why was yours cut? Maybe it just wasn’t meant to be for you.

“Y/n? Y/n.” You blink up to Mina’s fingers snapping at you.

“Huh? Oh, sorry,” you smile, “I just spaced out.”

“Classic y/n.”

“Kyo.” Mina glares at Kyouka.

“What? I’m just sayin’.”

“Okay, are we all done here?” You ask while looking around at Momo, Kyouka and Mina; checking the belongings around them and seeing their small handbags.

“Yup!”

“Mhm.”

“Finally! Okay, let’s go bitches.” Mina exclaims as Kyouka shakes her head then drags herself up, leaning her head back, an annoyed expression painted on her face.

“Bro, come on! Just have one- ONE- drink. Please?” Kaminari pouts, handing Sero a small glass of whiskey, the ice clinking within the glass.

“I don’t know man. You guys are probably gonna get hammered tonight, and Katsuki refuses to be the DD again,” Sero shrugs back, leaning on the counter of the bar.

“You’re damn right I ain’t the DD tonight. I haven’t had a good drink in a minute, and you guys are annoying as it is, so maybe a couple might make it easier to put up with you.” Bakugou groans, downing his drink, walking up to the bartender to order another one.

“Hey, where are the girls? Are they still coming?” Kirishima asks curiously.

“Uh,” Kaminari pulls his phone out, checking his messages, “they are on their way.”

“Why do they take so goddamn long? It’s annoying.” Bakugou calls out, waiting for his drink impatiently.

“Because they are ladies, Katsuki. They need time to get ready and stuff. You know this,” Kirishima whines, as if he had told him this multiple times.

“I know it’s stupid,” he emphasizes. He gets his drink and continues to sit at the bar, irritated.

Kirishima makes his way over to Sero, who sips his water through the black straw poking out of the glass. He looks bored, but not as if he didn’t want to be there. He always liked hanging out with his friends; the more the merrier. So taking this invitation to hang out with his guy and girl friends was a must. He needed a break from all of the stress school put on him. College was a lot harder than he thought it was going to be. This was a perfect way to distract himself even for a little while and drinking water. His friends would be entertaining enough anyways.

“Hey, Hanta, you excited for the girls to get here?” Sero’s head whips up, breaking his thoughts. Sitting up straight, he leans back with an elbow on the back of the couch. Kirishima smiles giggly, taking a seat next to him.

“Oh, ya,” he says, as if it was obvious, “excited to see how they act when they black out,” he jokes. The girls were always a handful when drunk, thankfully some had their boyfriends to take care of them, but the boyfriends were always a little drunk, too.

“Ha ha, yeah, always super fun,” Kirishima replies sarcastically, knowing exactly what Sero is thinking. “What about you, Shoubro?”

Todoroki was sitting at the end of the table awkwardly, waiting for more company. He looked lonely, but patient. He looked up at his nickname Kirishima gave him tiredly. “Hmm?”

“Excited for the girls to get here?”

“I guess. They will make the night more entertaining.” See, he knows, too. The girls were known for making the night more interesting. Whether it was karaoke, body shots, dancing, or even fighting with douchebags that tried to dance with them. The night always ended on a good note either way, so whoever was staying sober sure had a sight to see.

“Oh, here come the girls,” Kaminari chimes in, putting his phone in his back pocket before turning around for the door. Three girls walk in: Mina, Kyouka, and Momo. Wait- where were you? Didn’t Mina say something about bringing a friend?

“Hey, boys,” Mina greets, “how are we this fine evening?” She says smoothly, strutting her way to the bar. “Four vodkas, please.”

“You havin’ all of those? Momo and Kyo don’t usually have vodka.” Kaminari laughs, a jokingly confused question.

“Oh, y/n is gonna be here in a sec, and she likes vodka. A lot. So half of these are for her.” Mina smiles as she carefully grabs the shots and cautiously carries them to the table where Momo, Todoroki, Sero, Kirishima, Kaminari, and Kyouka reside. She sets them down, keeping a close eye not to spill, and starts walking over to your figure.

You head into the club, surprised the music isn’t louder, while avoiding the other people around the area. You knew at places like this it got a little crowded and hectic, so you just wanted to find Mina before anything else. With your hands behind your back holding your tiny purse, you look around and see Mina walking over to you, a bright smile plastered on her face as giggles and grabs your hand, dragging you to the table where everyone (besides irritated Bakugou) resides.

“Katsuki get your ass over here right now!” Mina shouts from across the club, catching Bakugou’s attention. She gives him a stern look, then smiles softly when he grumbles and pushes himself off his chair, slowly walking over there, drink in hand. He plops down next to Kirishima lazily before staring at the ground. “Good. Anyway,” she inhales, clearly excited. You stand there awkwardly, wondering why it has suddenly got so hot. Something in the air was different. You didn’t know what it was, but it was making you nervous. “Y/n, the boys,” she points at each boy, introducing them, “Todoroki, Sero, Kaminari, Kirishima, and Bakugou.” You nod in acknowledgement, getting to know their faces to hopefully not forget later. One face caught your breath, though. Literally. Your breath hitched as you looked at him. Sero, you were pretty sure his name was. He was- beautiful. His raven black hair, his smile, his eyes, his everything- was gorgeous.

What the hell was this?

You stand there, frozen, staring at his handsome face and body, practically drooling. You were interrupted by Mina yapping at them to shake your hand. Each one of them sat up straight and nodded to you, said how nice it was to meet you. Then you shook hands with Sero.

No. No way.

Right as you switch your hands for him, raising your left hand, he raises his. The red on his finger caught your eye, making you stop in your tracks. Again. He also comes to a halt, both your eyes wide in shock and surprise as you gaze at each other’s string.

This wasn’t real. You were the only one you knew in your entire life who had this. You had looked it up several times for a sliver of hope, but nothing showed. In fact, everything you had searched for came up the opposite. Because of the stories and the legends and the research, you were convinced it wasn’t true. You were convinced that it wasn’t going to happen to you. Convinced that you were going to live your life alone. Was this man really the one for you? Was this man really the one to share your soul with? You couldn't believe it. You just couldn’t.

“Ahem,” Mina purposely coughs, trying to dissipate the awkwardness everyone else has to endure as you and Sero share the weirdest and yet most thrilling moment you’ve had in your life. Your heart was beating so fast, you were nervous, but excited. You were surprised, but happy and sad, a little disappointed and mad, though you felt awakened at these new feelings. They felt stronger than anything you’ve ever felt before, and you could tell he could feel them, too. Mina coughs again, snatching your attention. She smiles and widens her eyes while pointing her head at the other men, who are tiredly awaiting your hand. Once you suddenly realize you’ve been focusing on Sero for the past 45 seconds, you breathe out an ‘oh’ and move on to Kirishima.

You never stopped thinking about him, though. Throughout the entire night, after every shot you took, every song on the dance floor, Sero was still in your mind. And because of this, you took more shots. And you danced some more. You were taking a body shot off of Mina’s stomach when you notice eyes boring into yours. Swallowing the stinging alcohol you turn over to him, not finishing with the lime, almost stumbling. You want to tell him to stop looking at you, to mind his own business, but you can’t separate your words, slurring an incoherent sentence.

“Oh? Baby girl needs some help? I can help you,” the strange man, teases, laughing as he grabs your waist, grazing the side of your torso up and down, trying to drag you to the back of the club. “Let me help you, honey.” He starts guiding you to the back, using his fingers to touch the soft skin on your shoulders, your forearms, making their way down to your hips, and finally up to-

“Hey, y/n, you okay?” The man gets interrupted by your hero, his voice giving you butterflies. “Sorry, man. She’s drunk. You really shouldn’t be messin’ with girls like this,” he shrugs before grabbing you by your waist and putting your arm around his shoulder, “or any girls, for that matter.” You lean on his shoulder, barely keeping up with the situation. You feel so light on your feet, but so heavy at the same time. He helps you to the tables you originally sat at before going a little more overboard than you would’ve liked. You moan, a little overwhelmed by the noise, but once he sets you in a comfortable spot on the bench, you lean your head back, satisfied with the cold air on your face. He quickly hands you his glass of water, placing the straw in your mouth and nodding his head, whispering to take a drink. You comply, sipping his water before he takes it out and puts the cup on the tabletop for a brief moment.

Dazed, you look around the room. Your vision is blurry, but you can clearly see Momo and Todoroki making out on the other side of the booth. At least she’s having fun. Meanwhile you get groped by an old man in a corner and probably won’t remember it the next day. Sero’s gone, you think. He was, but only a couple feet away from you. You turn your head from Momo on top of Todoroki’s lap, to Jirou leading Kaminari out of the building, then to Mina taking more shots with Kirishima, and Bakugou acting annoyed but is actually having fun. They all looked like they were having a great time. You look to your left once more and smile to yourself once you see him walking back over. He sits next to you and grabs the cup again, pushing it towards you to take a sip. And you do.

The next half hour was you and him in the bathroom while you throw your guts up, the nasty alcohol leaving your stomach while he holds your hair up and rubs your back. You cough everything back up, regretting taking a single drink in the first place. You feel his hands smooth over your upper back, and his grip on your hair, tightening in a circle at the back of your head. You lift your head up, turning away in embarrassment.

He smiles in return, taking his hand off your back to grab something to wipe your mouth with. “Don’t worry, it’s not the first time I’ve done this. Come here,” he says softly, almost like a whisper. You turn your head towards him, still not looking at his face, but at his arm. His very attractive arms. He raises his left hand to wipe a cloth at your mouth, you catching the bright red string in sight. He notices this, and slows his motions. “You see it, right? My string.”

You only nod in response, looking away with a blush.

“I can see it, too. Yours, I mean.” You weren’t that surprised, considering what happened earlier that night when you first met him. The feeling was the same as it was before, but more intense. It was like sparks every time he touched you, like fireworks, like electricity. You could tell he felt it as well when he pulled back a little, hesitant to touch you. You knew he felt it when he pulled you away from that strange guy. Guess you were too drunk to notice.

Once he finishes up, he tells you he’s done then helps you up to get ready to leave. You were both tired of this place. Walking back out to the main room, the only people to be seen from Mina’s friend group was herself, Bakugou, and Kirishima. You could only guess where everyone else went. You two continue making your way down, asking if everyone else will be alright, or if they needed a ride. Mina responded that they’ll take a cab home, and that they’ll be okay. Thankfully Bakugou looked sober enough to understand what was going on.

“Yeah, yeah, I got it. Whatever. Fuckin’ leave already.”

Sero returns with a smile, silently thanking him as he leads you to the exit. The cool air felt wonderful against your face, the breeze making you feel a lot better. You groan as your head starts to pound. Sero leads you to his car, opening the door for you and helping you in, shutting the door.

“Hey, what’s your address?”

You look up tiredly, ready to fall asleep right then and there. “Oh, uh, building 474 on 32nd.”

He only hums in response, checking his mirrors and backing out, heading for your apartment.

“Hey, uh, thank you, Sero. I really appreciate it. I know this is not how you wanted to spend your night, even if you were sober.” You apologize, genuinely disappointed in yourself for letting yourself drink that hard.

“Don’t worry about it. It was fun watching you guys for most of the night, though,” he laughs.

“Oh I bet. Me and Mina got a little crazy.”

“A little?”

“Shush, I know,” you chuckle, trying not to embarrass yourself further. “Um, do you want my number? Or something? It’s just, your Mina’s friend,” We both have red cut strings, “and I want to make up for being such a slob at the party,” I want to figure out why I can see your string. He gladly agrees, putting his number in your phone. “Also,” you interrupt his movements, causing him to look up, “I remember that weird guy from earlier, where did he go? I didn’t see him for the rest of the night.”

He smiles cunningly, a smile that cocks the sides of your mouth up subconsciously. “He was getting on my nerves, so I kicked him out of the club.”

You tilt your head in confusion. “How?”

“I have my ways,” he says slyly, implying exactly what you’re thinking. You smile in understanding, thanking him for the help.

You unlock your door and wave goodbye to him, sad that he had to leave, but grateful that he didn’t have to put up with you anymore. You lift your left hand in curiosity. Looking at it, you can see every thread on the piece of yarn. Every knot. Although you couldn’t take it off, it looked as if you could. It was weird, knowing the fact that everyone else’s string connected them to their soulmates, while your short piece of combined thread just drooped towards the ground. You never expected to find another person like you. Another person with a lost fate. Huh.

my favorite bnha ships o(≧∇≦o)

i’m a multishipper (as impossible as that sounds, since i literally ONLY post bkdk LMAO) so i thought i’d make a post documenting my favorite bnha ships! keep in mind that even if i don’t list a ship, it doesn’t necessarily mean i hate it, it’s just not one of my favorites

thought i’d do this to spread some more positivity!!! bnha’s got plenty of cool ships!!! i’m also making this so that if you absolutely hate a ship i list, you can spare yourself the trouble and unfollow and/or not interact :^)

it’s 3 am. expect incoherent rambling. (these are in no particular order btw!)

BAKUDEKU

do i have to explain this. at all. KJDFJD

i’ve actually always loved this relationship, literally the moment the two were introduced, but i had to grow to love them in a more intimate sense, if you get me... i love bakudeku’s dynamic -- it takes the enemies to lovers trope to the absolute limits and enemies to lovers is already one of my favorites! i think the fact that they have such a deep history together while simultaneously having such a rough and complicated middle school relationship really boosts their potential to improve in the future :’)

basically the entire series puts a huge emphasis on their development and how even the worst relationships with the worst communications and the worst personalities can still come out triumphant!!! i especially like how their relationship focuses so much on airing out the bad while simultaneously tackling the good, and how despite their differences they’re still one of the strongest duos.

their lives are so intertwined, they have been from the very start, and i can’t wait to see them finally overcome their obstacles and stand side by side!!! they are the rawest form of soulmates to me; their relationship is some real cinematic poetry ๐·°(৹˃̵﹏˂̵৹)°·๐

(also, the second bkdk fight that occurs in s3 is still my number 1 favorite scene in the series HAHA)

TODODEKU

this was my first bnha ship!!! it holds a place very dear in my heart :’)

though i don’t draw this one nearly as much anymore (which is hilarious given how it used to be my absolute #1 favorite), i enjoy their unproblematic, helpful relationship! their dynamic’s all about healing and self-realization and it’s so symbiotic and it makes my heart go aflutter!

there’s so many scenes that i enjoy between the two, since they’re both so chaotic in their own ways, but its in the way where they enable each others’ chaos and it ends up being largely entertaining. regardless, their overall respect for one another is also super cute, even when they’re not yelling and acting way too instinctively LOL

whenever i want some cute fluff art between two fluff boys, my go-to is usually tododeku :) i always feel at ease when they’re together!

KIRIBAKU

similarly to tododeku, i really found myself enjoying this one when the second half of s1 and most of s2 happened! they’ve got a really fun relationship full of mutual respect and admiration (/^▽^)/

i particularly like how kirishima is the first person bakugou sees as “on his level”, if that makes any sense! i also like all good things to happen to kirishima, because he deserves it!!!

there’s plenty of scenes where the two of them are being so casually touchy and it’s really cute <3 there’s little drama in this one, but sometimes you need a ship with little drama!

and yeah, the hand-hold scene from kamino still lives in my head rent-free

KIRIMINA

(there’s no gifs of them from the anime...!)

originally i didn’t really care for this ship, because i thought it was a little tacky putting one warm-color-haired character with another warm-color-haired character, but i was so wrong! these two are so adorable, and especially after reading kirishima’s backstory in the manga and how he was so inspired by ashido’s inherent “manliness”, i couldn’t help but fall for their cuteness!!! <333

i’ve always loved the thought of kirishima dying his hair because of ashido, and even adding the little horn-like spikes thanks to ashido’s horns. SO CUTE!!! AAAAAAA

also, a fic that i read a while back actually helped me appreciate this ship as well! i can’t remember the name though o(_ _;o)

anyway, despite not being one of my favorites at first, they’re definitely one of my favorites now!!!

TODOBAKU

i love these two idiots so much LOL

their personalities are so starkly different -- stoic, calm princely boy x literal ball of rage -- but they manage to work really well together, both on and off the field. i especially like how their relationship starts sour, but unlike bakudeku, they don’t really have to go through too much to get on the same page (due to not having a prior relationship).

i also really like how bakugou claims he doesn’t want to be friends with todoroki, but todoroki is all for being friends with bakugou and almost purposefully uses that to tease bakugou. please give me more snarky todoroki!!! d=(´▽｀)=b

i hope there will be more todobaku moments, because todoroki’s total denseness is so entertaining against bakugou’s trigger-happy sensitivity and i love watching them be stupid together.

KIRIDEKU

kirideku is just a really pure ship of mine -- it’s two sunshine boys paired up to create the ultimate sunshine!!!

i don’t really have a whole lot of deep analysis for them, because from what i’m aware of, they don’t have a lot of narrative significance. however, that doesn’t matter to me because i think it’s so cute that kirishima clearly thinks deku is super manly and cool and expresses his admiration for him all the time!

i think their relationship would be full of lots of smiles and pro hero fanboying :’)

KAMIJIROU

these two are the classic “calm, cool and collected x total dumbass” ship that i absolutely adore <3 this dynamic used to be one of my absolute favorites when i was younger, but i still really love it now and kamijirou is the perfect example of it!!!

i love how kaminari helps jirou gain confidence in herself and her talents, whereas jirou helps kaminari gain confidence in his quirk and his usefulness in battle! because these two round each other out in that sense; jirou is relatively proficient in her quirk and kaminari is pretty sound in himself as a whole, so they help each other with the aspects that they’re not so confident in!

or maybe i’m just looking too into it. who knows! i just really love their mutually beneficial dynamic (´∀｀)♡

(also, they get bonus points for both being music people and being major players in their band! that’s so cute!)

MOMOJIROU

basically my thought process behind this one is “jirou has two hands but they’re both holding momo’s hands”

they’re canonically good friends, which i think is just so adorable, but they’re also always hanging out regardless of the scenario! i also enjoy their taller gf, shorter gf duo, not to mention their clash in styles (elegant and intelligent x spunky and individualistic)! <3

i don’t have a whole lot to say about this one, i just really enjoy how their differences match really well with each other.

BAKUKAMI

i don’t know how i grew to like this one. but i just do

stupid blond x explosive blond. when put together you maximize the chaos and the panic. also, kaminari canonically calls bakugou “kacchan”, which is normally a name only deku uses. that’s my defense!!!

there’s absolutely no reason for me to enjoy this ship as much as i do, but i just DO. SO. YEAH.

(i have no idea what their ship name is, i just searched up iida x ochako and that name seemed to appear???)

i like them in the same way as someone would like ron x hermione: the main female character falls for the second guy instead of the lead. at least, that’s the connection i get when i ship these two HAHA

anyway, i really like their aesthetic dynamic, namely square x circle, because that’s absolutely adorable!!! and the fact that they’re good friends and trust/respect each other mutually is also super cute <3

out of all the ships that include these two, this one is my favorite （*’∀’人）♥

anyway, i really like their duo and the potential to see them as something more!

they’re so cute!!! the official childhood friends to lovers ship in bnha!!!

i really don’t feel like i need to explain myself here, the series really made it obvious that these two have such a beautiful friendship and care for each other so deeply! i’m always a fan of ships where someone inspires the other so much, they change their life, and miritama takes that to new heights!!! (≧∇≦*)

aside from their clearly differing personalities, i also enjoy their complimentary designs -- mirio is light, amajiki is dark... the fact that even their facial features and their body types contrast is just such seamless character design and it makes me so happy inside <3

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH oh, okay! Actually I have no clue if that’s why other people ship them? It might be? It might also be that them being the last two out of the group made people consider the ship and then start actually enjoy the possibility of it? I don’t know! Personally SeroMina is one of the ships I’ve been shipping the longest (I’ve been on it since before starting to like kamijirou, actually!) and one of the only three ships in bnha I have a seriously hard time breaking up and shipping around (the other two being ochadeku and bakushima) so I’m reasonably sure my ending up liking them was an independent thought process and it wasn’t guided by shipping other things? But it’s been so long that I can’t really say why I first considered them as a possibility, so who knows, really! Might be, might not!

The reason why I’m still shipping it right now is that I find them highly compatible, that their interactions in canon give me life, and that I just find them extremely visually pleasing - I think I have a very specific way of shipping them? In my head? I have this story about them, or... an ideal way in which I like to think they might happen, and it makes me very happy and makes me feel very warm and it’s just, it’s ideal? To me, the possibility of Sero and Ashido ending up together would make for an ideal lovestory and relationship, it just gives me the fuzzies haha it’s like, you know, they’re very very good friends, and to me that’s the most solid base to start a relationship, and they’re comfortable with one another which is wonderful. They’re the same type of silly and extra and rowdy which is fun, and I’m very very stuck on the fact that when Ashido was talking about her future agency she just assumed Sero would be in it - she wants him in her future??? how cute is that!! he wasn’t the only one she mentioned so I’m not saying it’s “canon proof” or whatever, I just like that out of the squad the only one she assumed would be with her in the future is Sero, it’s soft I like it. Timeline of the first work published (fanarts on pixiv, or ao3 fanfic) of bnha.

Regarding how I collected the data. I used ships from the most popular ones, so I did not search for every single ship. Still, the only ships that did not make the cut (among the ones searched) was Kirimina (too late, 2017) and Kacchako (because my search on ao3 kept giving me error, but Kacchako will be in the chronologically ordered list down below).

I'm going to answer it this way, because I'm actually not a fan of some of those, and I've heard this is the way to do it if you don't want it ending up in the tag or the search I think? If i censor any of the ship names it's not out of malice! I simply don't want any of this to end up in front of eyes that just want to enjoy their ships 💖💖💖 if there is anyone who doesn't want to see opinions against t*d*d*ku, k*r*b*ku, or even iz**ch*ka, please don't read any further! Oh my goodness i hope this is all legible...

Anyways, hello!! Thank you so much for the ask!! I love talking about my opinion avkvmsocnaocjsoxks it also makes me really happy you like my blog 🥺🥺🥺 (I hope this answer doesn't ruin that avskvneognsocjs)

I'll start out by confirming that I'm not a multishipper. It makes me excited to see how the act of shipping itself can make others happy, but it's just not that way for me. I actually never read fanfic until I got into bnha (bkdk is just that powerful 😁😁) I'm actually...a little serious when i ship, or when i enjoy media, i analyze pretty heavily, so also, if that doesn't sound like anyone's cup of tea, i would once again recommend to stop reading and enjoy your day please!

I love analyzing characters and storylines and dynamics, but i will admit, I'm not a fan of most of the ships - not romantically. I think all the characters have interesting relationships to each other, all of the kids are great friends, and I love bonds and friendships so much 🥺🥺🥺

Those first two are perhaps the biggest, at least they definitely were the biggest when I first entered. Once i caught up, I didn't really understand the enthusiasm, but people have fun shipping, so that's nice! I think of those two as easy ships, if that makes sense? They're pretty simple, and easy to digest.

I personally am not a fan of romantic t*d*d*ku for a very specific reason; it feels weird to me for Todo to immediately fall in love with the first person who's ever shown him kindness (since his mother of course). Todo had never had any friends, nor any want for friends, obviously because of the abuse he faced as a child. Mido was his first exploration at a life outside of his father, a life he got to make for himself, it just doesn't feel right to me that he should immediately think "oh, is this romantic love? Is this the one and only for me?" Well, perhaps a teenager might think that way, but i don't think that's actually how he feels deep down, and I'm sure that's something a lot of us have to learn as we grow (I've definitely struggled with my own understanding of romance for the past 8 years). I think he still is trying to learn how to socialize and to make friends and to be a friend (and he's doing SUCH a good job!) But to immediately plunge into romance, which can be complicated, i don't think that would be right for him. I hope that makes sense! I know they're a very cute ship, which makes for fun! But again, I can be a little serious when i ship...

K*r*b*ku kind of falls into similar territory for me? Baku definitely had friends growing up, but he's seemed to always have trouble understanding his feelings and where he stands with others, causing trust issues. Kiri is really the first person he knew where he stood with, a person for him to be comfortable with and feel on equal ground, which i think is such a huge and positive role in his life, and i don't necessarily think that it needs to be romantic - for both of these, i think these relationships are incredibly important, to everyone involved, and making them romantic doesn't make them any more important!! In fact, i feel like them as friends actually can offer a more complex, interesting, and human dynamic between these characters, as sometimes people simply default to romance and then end up pushing for the same old tropes and ignore all the intricacies Horikoshi includes in his writing.

Again, I love Mido's friendship with Todo, and I love Baku's friendship with Kiri. I think these relationships are incredibly important, and friends are incredibly important. People who ship them are having fun, which is so lovely, and i hope they continue to have fun! I hope you personally find more fics about them that make you smile and brighten your day 💖💖💖

Iz**ch*ka is a little difficult, because they certainly are cute, separately and together. I thought they were cutest before Ura was told about her potential crush on Mido, when she was simply a source of bubbly energy and positivity that helped Mido open up and feel comfortable around other people. I feel though that, romantically, it's extraordinarily one-sided, and at this point, i have to wonder if they really are "end goal." End goal for shounen, of course, is hardly ever explicit ahzovndlfjsoxo but i feel like a better storyline for Horikoshi to take would be for Ura to realize that she's been confused, and these feelings haven't really been a positive experience for her. I've definitely gone through things like that as a teenager. Now, the ship can be very cute! They're basically the same person, and they're cute and bubbly! But again, it simply isn't for me.

I think Momjirou is very cute!! Of course, as a lesbian, i sense strong lesbian vibes from Momo, and strong bi vibes from Jirou, and I also saw the ship potential ever since the USJ attack - which i think, so did everyone else ahaovndofjsojfsk they're best friends without a doubt, though i have to say, i really like Kamijirou. She just makes him so soft, and he's so in awe of her, and she thinks he's so funny, I love how supportive he is of her, especially since she can be really insecure 🥺🥺🥺

I also think Ura and Tsu are very cute but another easy ship, and i kind of really like Ochamina 🥺 they're both pink and space themed, they're bubbly and energetic and kick ass, and i think they'd be super cute...

I saved todobaku for last, because, you know what they say, best for last! 😇😇😇

I've said it before, but if there was no Mido (impossible obviously, and i would never want that) then todobaku is where my heart would lie. Baku has never really been shown chasing after anyone except for Mido...and Todo, which really gets at my heart. There's a grudging respect there - very, very grudging ahakckdkfjskdk which i find very appealing! Todo is very important to Baku and he has also been able to show Baku some things about himself that he needed to question and reevaluate. Meanwhile, Todo puts up with exactly 0% of Baku's shit, which i find absolutely hilarious. It's funny to me how Baku wishes to intimidate Todo as he does everyone else, and Todo simply does not care. And Baku wants to be mad, and ends up mad that he can't be mad since Todo is a strong and worthy opponent. They just have such an interesting chemistry, there's so much friction, so much tension, and I enjoy it, particularly since they clearly should be friends, would be great friends, want to be friends, but Baku simply won't get over it 😂😂 I do prefer them as friends, but friends that are incredibly close, two people that understand each other on almost a telepathic level, two people that give each other shit while also refusing to take the other's shit.

I do agree that many people in this fandom seem to think their ship stands on some moral high ground? It could be a disconnect from the previous generations of fandom, or it could also be the growing mentality on this site that everything needs to be a battle of moral superiority, and also that what you like is part of your personality, and if someone doesn't like what you like, then they don't like you or that they think you're factually incorrect. I personally have stopped going into the bn/ha tag simply because I don't enjoy, well, many things i find there, and I'm happy with those that i follow. I've definitely seen hatred and invalidation for both LGBT ships and m|w ships, neither of which I'm comfortable with. I definitely don't go off tumblr for fandom stuff because there's practically no acceptance for any same gender ships, or any queer headcanoning, which, I'll be honest, makes me scared, as i am a very anxious person avdkvndkfje i do think it should be noted that we should be as accepting of cishet ships as we are of queer ships - no debate on this one - but again, you are right when you say that many cishet headcanons have been used to invalidate LGBT voices, and any and all allies must always be aware of this! It is much more often that queer voices are silenced, that queer ships are ridiculed, that queer shippers aren't allowed to enjoy or see themselves. And to anybody that doesn't want to be an ally... Whelp ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ what are you doing here ajxkvmdogjdicjsicjsodj I'm gay

I haven't really read much of anything recently, let alone other ships, platonic or otherwise, because energy has been low for me for a long time. I wish i could participate more and support all my friends and other fans, but it's been a bit of a struggle 😣😣😣 I'm so sorry! The night was supposed to be about relaxation and clean hero bonding. Somehow it had deviated from the safest way to take down a villain in the air, to who gave the best top.

“Nah Nah Nah Nah Nah Nah, listen, Kirishima” A very clearly plastered Bakugou shifted his body into a position where he can make his vulgar statement directly facing the two. “throws my shit through a fucking, car wash.”

Todoroki let out a drunken smile appear on his face, too drunk out of his mind to force it back down.

Deku, on the other hand swayed his head to signal his diss approval. The broccoli boy grabbed his beer bottle giving it another swig, letting it go with a loud “pop”. “Dude, no way.” He held up his fingers, burying his face into his elbow, letting a burp out. “Uraraka is well endowed if you know what I mean.” On “well endowed” he moved his hands to none existent fat lumps on his chest and giggled.

“Oh please” Todoroki cut in, slumping forward so far he nearly fell over. “have you seen Momo?” His hands went far off from his chest to signal he meant her chest was larger.

“What the fuck are either of you talking about?” A drunken, confused, gay Bakugou slurred out.

They both blinked in unison before cracking up at the explosive boy in front of them. This only proved to make him angrier, slurred words of threats escaping his intoxicated lips.

”God you’re so gaaaay.” Midoriya let out a breathy laugh before falling into his pillows. It didn't do much besides slightly muffle his taunting laughs. Todoroki began to hiccup with his laughter before speaking.

”Man you’ve never heard-” He let out an especially painful hiccup before he could finish his sentence.

”TITTY FUCKING!” Bellowed Deku quickly shoving himself out of the pillows, before promptly shoving himself back in.

It was now Bakugou’s turn to take a swig from yet another beer. “Like you stick your, and just...”

“Fuck them?” Todorki leered. Trying to decide which Bakugou to look at.

“Yeah, but how?” His gay confusion was riddled all over his features.

“You just push me together if they’re big enough.” Muffled Midoriya from beyond the pillows. “And Uraraka’s are big enough trust me.” The bush head said pushing himself up once again before chugging the last of his beer, before yelling out.

“GO BEYOND!” He paused to let his friends join. “PLUTH ULLTRAAA.” They all drunkenly slurred out.

“Anyways, ” Todorki said while searching for another beer. ”Momo’s are extra big.” Todorki hummed out, any ounce of his diplomacy long gone about seven beers ago.

”Plus ultra! Todorki, plus ultra!” Deku giggled before covering his flushed face, leaning back and putting his feet on the table.

Bakugou seemed deep in thought before he spoke. “So like,” he paused and never started back up. His mind went totally blank. His last conceivable thought was about Kirishima sucking him off. Absolutely tongue bathing it. He began to wonder why he wasn't with his boyfriend.

”So like what?” Todoroki

“What?” Bakugou inquired, very genuinely.

Todoroki was about to tell him, what when two very angry ladies stormed in. One who looked a lot like his girlfriend, oh wait a minute. Lucky for him, she wasn’t the one starting the lecturing for today.

“Well endowed? Really Deku?” He looked up at his girlfriend from beyond his beer. Pressing his tongue in between his upper gum and lip before speaking.

“Well...it’s thrue...” He said with his puppy dog eyes. Eyes that would not get him out of trouble this time.

“Oh my god. How many did you all have?” Momo asked in a very demanding voice. Todoroki smirked, he loved it when she was fiery.

“What’s it to ya ponytail?”

“I don’t know why don’t you ask your boyfriend.” From behind her a very blushy Kirishima arrived. Bakugou went stiff.

“Babe...did you really have to say “a car wash”...that’s kinda embarrassing.”

He relaxed at the face of his boyfriends shyness. He was gonna bottom tonight for sure. “What do you mean? It’s manly!” They all turned to Bakugou to give him a look. “What are you extras lookin at?! It’s totally manly for a man to want take care of his man!” Uraraka swayed her head from side to side before nodding in agreement.

“Come here.” Bakugou bit his lip and motioned for his boyfriend to come sit in his lap. His blush flushed deeper, but he obliged. Settling into his lap and pressing into something already forming.

Momo took her eyes off of the couple before she asked. “Where’s Denki?”

“Funny story, actually.” Todoroki pipped up. Midoriya smiled, and leaned his head on his hand as he watch his best friend re tell the story of their foolery.

“Well, Denki opened his mouth and said he could out drink Bakugou-“

“Which he couldn’t by the way.” Bakugou chimed in.

“Right. And then Bakugou decided he would challenge me.”

“And he couldn’t win.” Midoriya glanced over at his childhood best friend that was giving him a death glare. Returning the favor with his tongue sticking out.

“Right, and of course Midoriya wanted to join-“

“For fun babe! I swear!” Ururaka shook her head. Trying not to smile at his drunken flush on his face.

“So eventually, we all get a little too hammered at the bar and Denki can’t walk, i set the booze on fire on accident...”

“Shōto you what!”

Todoroki held up his fingers effectively stopping her outrage. “It was an accident. Anyways, we had to call Jirou to come snag her boyfriend. And we walked to the store for more beer and now, here we are.”

“Classy you guys. Real heroic of you.” Uraraka scolded with her arms folded.

“Shōto, I expected more from you.” Momo scolded this time.

The two boys looked at each other with guilt. Before looking over to Bakugou and Kirishima who were making out and not listening. That’s not fair why does he get off scot-free!

“Kirishima, aren’t you gonna day anything?” Uraraka questioned, after all he was really ok with all this?

“Hmmm, what?” His face was clouded with lust and red all over. A little bit of drool still leaving his mouth. They all groaned. He was so whipped.

In truth they all were. Some of them knew how to admit it and some of them didn’t. I’ll let you decide who that is.

“Ok, all you straight people out of my house. I’m gonna the arrange this bottoms guts.”

“Bakugou! Stop saying such vulgar things!” Kirishima punched his boyfriend in the jaw. “And don’t be rude to our friends!” He said after making another jab at his jaw.

“No he’s right we should be going. Deku, baby can you stand?”

“Plus ULLLLTRAAAA!” He shot up before promptly falling face first into the table.

“Oh baby I wish you wouldn’t do...any of what you just did.”

“Shōyō, let’s go. We need to get some food into you.”

“Can you be food and I be in you?”

“Get up before I tell your mother.”

“No I’m coming! I’m coming!” He wobbled to get up before making his way to his girlfriend.

“That’s what ima gonna be saying tonight.” An attempted whisper by Bakugou. Which didn’t actually end up as a whisper. Momo let him know she heard him with a sigh and a statement. “Please don’t encourage him.”

Uraraka pulled her boyfriends face off of the desk and managed to put his arm over her shoulder before walking him to the door. Momo and Todoroki not too far behind. Todoroki had much more class than his green haired best friend. He had his arm linked to his girlfriends, acting as an aid not an all out assist. The couples bid their goodbyes and made their ways to the car. Drunk boyfriends mumbling dirty things and incoherent slurrings the whole ride home.

Bakugou turned to his boyfriend. Giving him a sloppy drunk smirk before asking. “So where were we?”
