Julianna: “I had never felt pretty in my life, but that day — I felt like a princess.”

A princess she was indeed.

Julianna was nervous to walk down the staircase she usually strode down everyday, as she scanned the large crowd to find her date. Thankfully, fiery red hair was easy to find among a sea of brown and blonde hair despite the colorful dresses and suits.

Her dress shimmered like it held its own galaxy that had yet to be discovered, her hair graced down her shoulders and back to hide the goosebumps and slight blush she had when Garreth’s eyes finally met hers. She couldn’t help but smile at how handsome he looked, compared to the normal attire of his student uniform covered in whatever creation he attempted that day.

Garreth could only smile in awe. He had never seen Julianna in any kind of dress, since she asked a special favor from his aunt to wear men’s trousers instead for her to feel comfortable. While other men and women gaped at her, Garreth rushed to her side, lifted her like she weighed nothing, and spun her around in the air before fixing her curls to show off her collarbone. He never took his hands off her the entire ball, and he couldn’t wait to wear that lipstick tonight.

He had been right, she truly was stunning in red.

A/N: In Chapter Three of Invictus, this is the exact outfit she wore for the Yule Ball their seventh year. It was garden themed in the story, but she would wear this regardless of the theme.

some good news!! the spanish state's ministry of equality has finally passed one of the most progressive trans laws on the planet, shielded free and universal access to abortion and banned conversion therapy and genital surgery for intersex babies, among a lot of other feminist policies. the minister of equality irene montero gave a speech thanking spain's lgtb and trans associations for helping her draft these legislations. couldn't be more proud!!
