(fieldie has an auto feeder so hes okay)#and i just. want to go home#the reality is i cant. i cant go. not unless one of the people i texted gets back to me saying theyll come in#and no one has yet. its 11pm. no one will at this point.#im tired im tired im tired#i dont want to end up like i did at my ladt job. giving away entirely too much of me and destroying myself#ive already lost most if not all of my passion for this job#and when i was younger i dreamt of working with disabled people. i burnt too quick and now im a shell of what i was#but this is the only thing im trained for that would allow me to like. keep my home#maybe if or when i move to brisbane i can look into a different job. do an it course idk. something where there's less people skills needed#i better try to get some sleep orz tonights gonna be a bitch of a thing

Your grip on his soft pink hair tightened as he held onto your hips, grinding against your soaked panties. You moaned into his mouth as his hand traveled up and under your shirt.
Never in a million years did you think that you'd be in such a position with your high school crush. The same person that was the reason you ran out of town like a coward – cutting off ties with everyone in hopes you'd never deal with the hurt of seeing him with that woman.
You had been back in your hometown for about a month. A better job opportunity opened up and you reluctantly took it. Who knows, maybe you'd manage to never see him again. Granted, you did miss the others.
"A blind date? Seriously?"
"Oh come on y/n, he's super cute."
"Let me see a pic then"
You agreed – against your better judgement. Of course, just because it was a blind date of sorts didn't mean you were going to look your best. Self sabotage is one of your many strengths. You rummaged through your closet finding the one shirt that your old crush had gifted you. Why did you even keep it?
"Wouldn't be a blind date if you knew what he looked like. Well, if it helps, it's more of a double date. This way even if you don't hit it off me and Ren will be there."
"Bring a jacket. I hear it's gonna be chilly." Your coworker texted. Even better, now you can grab his old jacket that you snagged shortly before graduation. If anything was going to jeopardize your chances of finding love it was wearing a jacket with another man's name on it.
You put it on and checked yourself out in the mirror,  "Seriously, what's wrong with you? What if he's a decent guy?" Before you had a chance to remove it you heard a knock at the door. Seemed your coworker was more excited about the date than you were.
The ride to the cafe was longer than you expected for a ten minute trip. It was most likely due to your nerves.
"Okay, so Ren is already there. He said his coworker is on his way."
"I seriously can't believe you two. Both of you are setting up your coworkers."
"Ren figured it was time for him to find someone new. He had a bad break up six months ago. From what he said the relationship wasn't too good to begin with. I guess it was something of a band aid relationship." You nodded, only partially listening to your friend.
Once you set foot into the cafe you immediately went to order food. You were a stress eater and figured you might as well grab something to calm yourself.
"Hey,  I never asked, but that jacket. Was it an ex's?"
"No, just a friend's." You responded curtly.
"Might not be a good first impression. Another man's jacket and all."
"How would he know it's another man's? Could be my family name."
"You're so stubborn. I'm gonna sit."
"Yup." You looked over the menu behind the counter when you sensed someone standing next to you.
"Aoba Johsai, huh?" The voice seemed familiar but you couldn't put your finger on it.
"Yeah," You didn't bother to turn around.
"Hm. I had a similar jacket. Unfortunately my friend snagged it and ran out of town with it." That's when it hit you. You spun around and there stood the man you'd never thought, no didn't want to, see again.
"Makki?" Your voice trembled. You were going to cry. He still made your heart beat like crazy.
"Hello, stranger." You still couldn't process it. Of course you'd run into him when you were supposed to be on a blind date. "What brings you back here?"
"Better job."
"Not me?"
"Hah, definitely not you. Maybe Mattsun."
"Ouch."
"Come here often?"
"Are you…are you flirting with me, Makki?" You hoped, you really hoped he was,  but that was wishful thinking.
"Nah, just wondering if we'll keep running into each other. Besides, would it be so bad if I was flirting with you?" No, it wouldn't, but you weren't prepared to tell him that.
"What about you?"
"Well, funny story –"
"Oh my God, what are the chances?" You heard your friend's loud squeal from behind you.
"What?"
"Y/n, he's the guy we were setting you up with." Your heart sank, how could it not. Surely you'd wake up from this fever dream at any moment.
"I'm here on a blind date." Makki laughed at your shocked expression.
"Glad to see you're hitting it off." She beamed.
"Of course we are, she's wearing my jacket after all. Oh, and the shirt I gave her as a graduation present." You couldn't help the blush that crept up your neck to your face.
"Oh my God, this is fate. I have to tell Ren." And as quickly as she appeared, your friend was gone.
"Guess we should order and go grab a seat." He stepped closer, his shoulder bumping against yours. "I missed you, you know."
"Yeah," You replied, fighting back the tears that threatened to fall.
The rest of the "date" was spent catching up as your friend and her husband stared. Once the subject grew heavy they decided to say their goodbyes.
"Hey, I really hope it works out for you two." Your friend bowed and left.
"Man, she must really feel bad for you." Makki teased.
"Shut up."
"Make me."
"Just my luck I didn't bring the gag."
"There are other ways to shut me up," he leaned in closer. Were you hallucinating? Was this really happening?
"So, I heard the break up was pretty bad. Was it still that same bitch? "
"Way to ruin the mood." Again,  self sabotage was a strength. So was panicking. "Yeah. Should've never accepted her confession."
"Why did you?"
"The girl I liked liked someone else. I figured the best way to move on, or make her jealous was to date someone." Just hearing that he had a crush on someone hurt. What did it matter anyways; that was high school.
"Why didn't you try confessing to her? "
"Too chicken. I didn't think I was her type. In fact, I didn't even know what her type was. She never discussed her crush."
"Guess we were both foolish teenagers." Not like you were any better now. "I never confessed to my crush either. Someone beat me to it. He seemed happy enough. I didn't want to ruin it." Without hesitation Makki reached for your hand. "You wouldn't have ruined it."
"What?" Were you hearing things?
"Correct me if I'm wrong, but was your crush…me?"
"If I avoid answering does that count as an adequate response?"
"If I tell you that my crush was on you will you tell me then?"
"Makki please don't tease me."
"Why did you leave, y/n?"
"I couldn't bear seeing you with her, ok? She wasn't good for you and not just because I was jealous. She was always flirting with other guys and talking shit about you. I figured you wouldn't believe me anyways. So once I had the chance I applied to a university that was out of the prefecture. I couldn't stand it. I'm sorry, I was a coward." You squeezed his hand as you fought back the tears.
"Well, now's your chance to make that confession. That is unless you don't –" You didn't let him finish his sentence before you pulled him in for a long awaited kiss. You didn't care that others were watching you, all that mattered was that you were finally kissing him.
"Shit, babe."
"Let's go to my place," You stood up and pulled him along with you.
And that's how you got into your current situation. Your hands now under his shirt as you desperately sucked on his neck. He groaned as he played with your nipples.
“Do you want to go somewhere more comfortable? Perhaps somewhere we can lay down?”
“Yeah. I don’t want to cum on my couch.”
“From where I’m sitting if you’re gonna cum it’s gonna be on me.” He smiled as he cupped your cheek before pulling you in for a kiss. You reluctantly broke from the kiss to lead him to your room.
Your back hit the mattress with such force that it nearly knocked the air out of your lungs, but that was the least of your worries. Your clothes were taken off in a frenzy, thrown haphazardly across your room. Makki was never overly muscular but that wasn’t to say he wasn’t toned. He wasn’t playing volleyball anymore, but other than some softening around his midsection, he retained his shape rather nicely. You ran your fingers along the planes of his chest, tracing each dip and divot. He smiled as he held onto your hand against his chest. “You’re shaking.”
“You’re hot. I can’t help it.” You looked away, embarrassed that you were acting like an inexperienced virgin.
“How about you let me take care of you?” Makki leaned in kissing the corner of your mouth before continuing to pepper kisses along your jaw. Your nails bit into his back as he started to suckle on your neck, his hand settling at the apex of your thighs. He slid his finger along your slit, waiting for a response before he continued. You raised your hips as you whined for more attention. “That’s my girl.” His finger traced small circles over your swollen clit. He continued to kiss his way down as he slipped a finger inside eliciting a wanton moan from you. “Already so wet.” He smiled at you as you hid behind your arm. “Let me see that beautiful face, baby.”
You lowered your arm only to see him get situated between your legs. The look in eyes was nothing but predatory. He licked his lips before he started to kiss and nip his way up your thighs.
“Fuck, Makki.”
“Hiro.”
“Hm?”
“I think considering the situation, it’s safe to say you can start calling me Hiro again. Or you can call me Daddy if that’s easier.” He chuckled as he placed a kiss against your clit.
“Ma–Hiro, shut the fuck up.”
“My pleasure. I'd rather hear you instead.” His soft lips wrapped around your hardened nub as  he started to suck on it. You reached down, fisting his hair as your back bowed off the mattress. “Fuck, Hiro. Right there, yes, shit, shit.” You pushed his face against your pussy as you teetered over the edge. He slipped his tongue inside, caressing the underside of your clit as he did so. He was definitely experienced, but you weren’t going to dwell on how he got so experienced because you were the one that was now reaping the benefits of it.
“This is much better than I expected. Granted in high school I wasn’t really thinking this far ahead.” He never broke eye contact as he slipped two fingers inside, smirking wickedly as he began to fuck you with them.
“Cumming, shit.”
“Come for me, baby. I want you to make a mess so I can clean it up for you.” The scream that left your mouth as your orgasm took hold of your body, was louder than you had ever heard. You’d be mortified if you weren’t so incredibly horny.
“Do you have condoms?”
“What happens if I say no?”
“I’d say it’s a damn shame, but I hope you don’t mind a little Hanamaki running around.” He kissed your thigh.
“Bedside table.”
“Pity. I’m sure the kid would’ve been super cute,” he joked. You watched as he stretched over you to open the drawer, his chest within mouth’s reach. Before he had a chance to move away your lips were around his nipple. Your tongue flicked over it as he moaned. You wrapped your arms around his back and pulled him closer as you sucked on his nipple and rolled the other between your fingers.
“Damn, babe. If you don’t stop I’m gonna come before I get a chance to fuck you.”
“We have the whole day ahead of us, Hiro.”
“Oh, aren’t we the horny little minx.” He started to grind against your pussy, chuckling as you raised your hips to meet his. “Shall I?” He held up the condom and you nodded in response.
Makki was bigger than you expected and you felt a small shiver shoot up your spine as you thought about him stretching you out.
“Ready, babe?”
“Of course.” You wrapped your legs around his waist, pulling him closer to you. You felt the head of his cock at the entrance of your sex and it took all your self control not to just slam him into you, not like he was doing any better. He held onto his cock as he slowly pushed past your folds, relishing in all the moans he was pulling from your lips; it was music to his ears. His thrusts started off slow, waiting for you to get acclimated to him, watching how your body responded to his every move. He watched to see what made you moan, what made you beg for more. It was all about you; you were all that mattered to him.
“Faster, please Hiro.”
“Look at my girl begging for more. Faster? Like this?” He took your legs and rested them on his shoulders as he pounded into you. He held onto your ass, holding you as close to him as possible. He was so deep inside, his cock dragging along your spasming walls. He hissed as you tightened around him. Your climax was just as intense as the first, your whole body tensing up before you were an incoherant and fucked out mess.
“So tight. I can’t hold on any longer, babe.”
“Then let go.” You pulled him in for another kiss, devouring his moans as his hips stuttered against yours as he neared his climax. His breath quickened the closer he got, his body burned and his whole body felt as if it was electrified.
“Fuck,” he rested his head against your shoulder as he came. He hadn’t come that quickly in quite a while. Normally it would be seen as something to be ashamed of, but your pussy was just so good that there was no way he would’ve lasted any longer. Makki continued to rock his hips against yours until he softened.
“Damn, that was the best sex I’ve had in well…ever.” He rolled off of you and pulled off the condom, tying it off and throwing it off the side of the bed. It wouldn’t be the last one scattered across your floor that day.
“So, I guess it’s safe to assume that you probably like me back,” you kissed his shoulder as you moved closer to him.
“I think it’s safe to say that I definitely think we should start dating.”
“Are you only dating me for the sex?” You smacked his shoulder as you laughed.
“You got me.” Makki pulled you on top of him and reached up to caress your cheek. “I definitely want to give us a chance if you’re willing.”
“Hiro, I’ve been waiting for years for this moment. Of course.”
“Promise me when you get scared that you won’t leave again.” He took your hand and pressed his lips against it.
“Promise.”

Watching Wonwoo play Zelda was not what you had expected when he had texted earlier asking you to come over. “Just let me finish this level and I swear I’ll go down on you all night.” He whispered against your lips in a half kiss when you walked in through his front door.
That had been over an hour and three completed levels ago. It was an empty promise long forgotten as he kept himself immersed in the game, talking enthusiastically about his day and random things his brain would conjure up on the spot. It was like you didn’t exist, and for the most part to his viewers, you didn’t. It wasn’t like you were his girlfriend or anything. Even if you were, you valued your privacy more than anything in the world. You preferred to work on your own things in the background away from his camera whenever you were over. This was something the two of you had mutually agreed to.
Casual hangs and casual sex.
Lately, your relationship had become the product of most of your stress. You never knew where you stood with Wonwoo. Sometimes he would literally invite you over to keep him company while he streamed only to kick you out the second he finished. “I’m too tired, you should go.” He would say pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose, “I’ll see you later.”
Of course, those moments were overshadowed by the soft touches he left imprinted on your skin. By the sweetness of the words he shared with you and only you whenever he wasn’t working. It made you want more. More of him, more of his attention, and more of whatever was going on between the two of you. But that was something you refused to bring up afraid that the only one harboring feelings for the other was you.
Heartbreak was not in your plans for life, at least not for a while.
You sighed, throwing your phone down onto the couch. Your patience was wearing thin. Maybe it had to do with the fact you were already having a bad day, and Wonwoo’s indifference towards you wasn’t helping. When you had gotten his text earlier, you couldn’t help but feel all giddy inside. The two of you hadn’t seen each other in a few days with work schedules being all over the place and not aligning. It was something to look forward to, not necessarily because of the sex--which was always amazing. But you really just wanted to talk to him. Lay down with his arms wrapped around you while you complained about work and how frustrating your coworkers were being.
By the looks of it, you weren’t going to get any of that, not even what he had promised when you had first walked in. You were tired, your clothes were starting to annoy and you wanted to cry. If it wasn’t for the fact that his front door was in line with his camera, you would’ve left already.
Wonwoo could sense something was wrong with you. Every time you sighed it felt like you were punching him in the gut. He really meant what he had said when you walked in earlier. He also meant the quiet I love you he mumbled underneath his breath when you walked past him and into the living room. He wasn’t sure when he had fallen in love with you, just that months ago he had woken up and you were the only thing he could think of. Every time he held you in his arms the three little words bubbled up in the back of his throat, wishing he could bring himself to finally say it, but his fear held him back. Afraid that you didn’t feel the same way.
“Alright, you know what I think that’s enough for tonight.” Wonwoo smiled into the camera, trying to keep up with the chat as they begged him not to go yet. “I have to go, my girlfriend is over and I want to spend time with her. Anyway, same time next week Monday guys.” Wonwoo nodded, stopping the stream. Once he was positive that he had turned everything off he felt his shoulders relax and leaned back in his chair. He closed his eyes for a second before opening them again, the panic surging through his veins was unbearable. He turned around in his chair meeting your equally shocked face.
He royally fucked up. He just confessed to his audience without meaning to confess. He had told his audience that you were his girlfriend and he hadn’t even asked you yet. The surprise and speech he had worked on all week, the reason he took a break from streaming until tonight, was for nothing. He had gotten ahead of himself and he didn’t know what to do now. Or how to fix it.
“G-Girlfriend? Wait you have a fucking girlfriend?” You stood up from his couch, blinded by anger. “What the fuck Wonwoo, when were you going to tell me? Before or after you fucked me?” You shouted, your heart was beating fast as you turned around to gather up your stuff.
Unbelievable. Here you were distracted, thinking about how cute he looked while he blamed his failure on his character. The pout that had formed on his lips as he pushed his glasses up his nose and blew out a raspberry, moving aside the strands of his newly dyed blonde hair. The frustration you had felt earlier, forgotten, replaced with admiration. Only for it to come back after what he had said, this time fiery red and ready to burn everything it touched.
“Stop, no wait, I don’t have a girlfriend. At least not yet.” He spoke fast, his words blending with one another as he quickly made his way to you. He grabbed hold of your laptop and held it against his chest.
“Is that supposed to make me feel better, did you just call me down to ignore me and then fuck me one last time before you called it quits!” You said in disbelief reaching over for your laptop.
Wonwoo turned around facing away from you. “No that’s not...that’s not what...fuck, calm down please and just let me talk.” He pleaded as he sat down on his couch, your laptop still clutched tightly in his arms. It was your prized possession, it held the first three drafts of the novel you were working on. He knew you well enough to know that you hadn’t backed anything up no matter how many times he told you to do so. So, he was positive that as long as he held onto it like his life depended on it (because it did) you wouldn’t leave without it.
You crossed your arms in front of you ”I am calm, but I don’t know if I want to listen to what you have to say.”
Wonwoo cringed, he was more nervous than what he had intended to be. He had an entire speech planned. Wrote it down, even got Jihoon to proofread it. He had performed it in front of his bathroom mirror every morning and night. He thought he had it in the bag, pumped up his chest a few times before opening his front door to you earlier. Yet, the second he saw you, he forgot everything he had planned to say. This is mainly why he had spent such a long time streaming. Hoping that the distraction would somehow help him remember.
It didn’t.
“Wonwoo, I swear if you don’t start talking in the next five seconds I’m leaving and suing you for holding my laptop hostage.”
Wonwoo sighed and slapped his forehead lightly before turning to look at you, “okay, I don’t think that’s allowed bu-”
“It is if I say that you stole it trying to steal my work, I don’t know I’ll find a way.” You shrugged, earning a glare from Wonwoo. You knew he hated whenever someone interrupted him while he was in the middle of saying something. It was something you would do to him out of spite, but in your humble opinion this time he really did deserve it. Though, it didn’t make you feel as good as you had hoped, “fine sorry, you can continue.” You sighed and sat down on his coffee table.
Wonwoo put your laptop down and leaned over his elbows taking your hands in his. “I love you and I want you to be my girlfriend. I know we agreed to just keep this casual but I can’t help the way my heart literally feels like it’s going to fall out of my ass whenever I’m with you. So yeah, I don’t have a girlfriend yet, because I haven’t asked you to be my girlfriend yet. But there’s no one else, only you, and I’m so-”
Wonwoo was cut off when he felt your body land on his, knocking the air out of his lungs. You hugged him, straddling his hips and burying your face into his chest, giggling. It felt like a weight had been lifted from your shoulders and you felt awful for assuming the worst and jumping to conclusions.
“Ask me ask me ask me ask me.” You bounced on his lap like a child. He groaned doubling over in pain.
He placed his hands on your hips to keep you from moving, “No now I know you’re actually trying to kill me.” He smirked and left a sweet kiss against your lips. A low chuckle running past his lips as he took in your pouting face, “fine, my love, my baby will you please be my girlfriend?” He cocked his head, his hands playing with the hem of your t-shirt.
“Yes, but only if you give me my laptop back and keep the promise you made me earlier.” You smiled innocently, playing with the hair on the back of his neck.
Wonwoo smirked, his hands made their way underneath your shirt. “No to the laptop, you work too much and I’m determined to back up everything on a hard drive later.” He rubbed his thumbs over the skin of your hips, slowly inching closer to the button of your jeans, “not sure I remember the promise I made earlier though, can you remind me?”
You kissed him slowly, tugging on his shirt, “you said you would finish a level before going down on me all night, and it’s four and a half levels later and I’m still waiting.” You whispered against his lips, before pulling away and bringing his shirt over his head, taking it off, throwing it behind him, aiming for the laundry basket, missing it completely, making you sigh.
“Well you didn’t give me enough time to answer, but that can be arranged.” He pecked your lips, pushing your shirt up and over your head, throwing it behind him. “You’d have to step into my office though.”
“Wonwoo, baby, don’t ever call your room your office.” You rolled your eyes and got up from his lap.
He chuckled, shaking his head and stood up, “oh no that’s not what I meant, room comes later. Tonight we start in my office.” He says cheekily, pointing his thumb towards his gaming setup. Your eyes grew wide as saucers, only making him laugh harder while he pushed you towards his gaming chair.
“Wait, you’re like not going to turn the camera on are you?” You said as he pushed you down to sit in which you obeyed. The colorful lights from his gaming setup kept you distracted as Wonwoo got down on his knees in front of you.
“Nope, I’ve just always wanted to eat you out while you sat on my gaming chair. But maybe one day in the future if you want. You can take over my stream and play animal crossing while I secretly eat you out on camera.” He smirked, the evil glint behind his soft eyes sent shivers down your spine. The little exibitionist in him coming out. You’d be lying if you didn’t find the thought of it exciting.
“One day.” You breathed, lifting your hips, helping him as he pulled down your pants.
Wonwoo sent you a wink pushing your thighs apart with his hands, “We can also play overwatch together. That cute little vibrator you keep hidden in your bedside drawer, stuffed inside your pussy.” He placed his index finger over the wet patch that had formed over your panties, pushing in slightly. “And everytime you die I up the speed, see how long you can last before you have me begging to turn off the stream so you can cum.” Wonwoo kept pushing his finger in you, your panties sticking onto you like second skin.
You threw your head back, digging your nails into the arms of his leather chair. “F-Fuck how long h-have you thought about this?” You lifted your hips as he added another finger.
“Right now, or maybe a few times when you’re not around.” He leaned down kissing your mound lightly, “but seeing you like this, sprawled out, wet and waiting for my mouth is reinforcing those fantasies.” He worked his fingers diligently, pushing the thin material of your panties inside of you. He couldn’t wait to stuff you full with his cock later.
You let out a whimper as his mouth traveled down to your clothed entrance. He removed his fingers licking up a stride, before taking one of your lips into his mouth and biting down on it gently. “W-Wonwoo please I want to feel your mouth.”
“You are, aren’t you?.” He looked, staring at you through the rim of his round glasses before repeating his actions again making you whimper. “Take your bra off, play with yourself for me.” He left a chaste kiss in your inner thigh and sat back on his heels. He palmed himself over his black tracksuit pants as he watched you slowly unclasp your bra, letting the straps slide down your arms. You were teasing him, he knew this but he didn’t care. Seeing you get undressed for him was one of his favorite past times, especially because you always went extra slow for him.
You threw your bra, not caring where it landed. You rolled your palms over your nipples, soft sighs running past your lips as you kept your eyes trained on Wonwoo. “Want to feel your hot tongue fucking me Woo.” You spread your legs even further pinching your nipples. You moved your hand down your body, your index finger playing with the seam of your panties. “Is this one of your fantasies? Me touching myself, sitting here?” You said, tilting your head to the side, moving your hand into your panties and running your index and middle fingers over your clit slowly.
“Yes.” He hissed, pushing his hand into his boxers grabbing onto his cock. “God, you make me so hard.”
“Let me see please.” You arched your back, your fingers getting faster. Wonwoo nodded, wasting no time to free himself, his hand wrapped tightly around his length. His index finger connects with the small bead of precum that had formed, showing you how sticky and ready he was for you.
“Want to taste?” You nodded letting out soft moans as you lifted your hips, into the palm of your hand, sticking your tongue out for him. “Fuck.” He cursed getting up on his knees, bringing his index finger up to your mouth. You closed your lips around it, swirling your tongue over the tip, savoring the salty substance.
You pulled away with a pop, taking your fingers out of your panties and bringing them up to his lips. He took them in, moaning around them. “Do I taste good?” You said taking out your fingers from his mouth, moving them over his lips, wetting them further.
“I’m going to have to take a closer look.” He said lowly, pushing your panties down in a haste. He spread your legs, licking up your slit, teasing your hole with his tongue. Being in between your legs was his second most favorite pastime. He savored every moment of it. Sometimes he would prolong your orgasm, keeping you on edge, so that when you came, your sweet substance would coat his lips, spilling down his chin and neck. It was the most beautiful site, one that only he had the privilege in witnessing.
“Mmm, your tongue feels so good Wonwoo.” You pinched your nipple while tugging on the roots of his blonde hair, pushing his mouth closer.
He moaned, slurping up your juices like you were his last meal. He wrapped his mouth around your clit, pulling it between his teeth before letting it go. “I want to be here forever but I don’t think I can last any longer without being inside of you.” He pushed two of his fingers inside of you. The feeling of your wet walls wrapped around his thick calloused fingers made his cock twitch.
“B-But I-I want to cum.” You pouted, arching your back away from his chair, pushing your hips further into his hand. “Please, I’m so close already.” You pant, the knot in the pit of your stomach threatening to break.
“Oh honey, you will. I’ll have you coming undone more than three times tonight.” He stated with determination and brought his mouth down again, closing his lips around your clit. He sucked harshly moaning sinfully. He fucked you faster with his fingers curling them upwards, reaching the soft mushy skin inside of you.
“W-Wonwoo f-fuck don’t stop I-I’m so close.”
Wonwoo let go of your swollen bud, slowing down his fingers as you clenched around them. “Look at me, I want to watch me while you cum.” You agreed with a pleasure filled sigh, watching as he pushed back his glasses. The sight almost had you coming undone.
He put his mouth on you again, increasing the pace of his fingers. Babbles coming out of your mouth as you pulled on his hair, motivating him to go faster. The squelching sounds coming from your wet, hot pussy sounded like music to his ears. He bit down on your clit lightly, sending you over the edge, your cum coating his fingers, while you moaned his name in a sweet sinful prayer. His eyes burning holes into yours, the sight was award winning, his cock begging to be milked out.
Wonwoo continued, riding out your orgasm. Until you felt the oversensitivity overcome your body “W-Woo, s-stop please.” You pushed his head carefully with the palm of your hand.
He kissed the inside of both of your thighs before sitting up on his knees, taking your face into his hands. “You always look so pretty when you cum.” He pecked your lips repeatedly, before wrapping your arms around you hugging you tightly. “I love you so much.” He kissed your temple.
“Why do you always get so mushy every time you make me cum?” You laughed gently, running your fingers down his back, making him shiver.
“You bring out in me, I can’t help it, stop complaining. I’m giving you time to recover before I bend you over my desk.”
“Not complaining. I love it.” You kissed his cheek. “And I love you.” You whispered in his ear, taking his earlobe, pulling it between your teeth.. He groaned, swallowing hard, his getting tighter around you.
“My desk, then my couch, then my bed, then the shower, and then my bed again.”
Tumblr media
The sun had started to rise. It was five in the morning and your body was suddenly overcome with sleep, when Wonwoo pulled out of you one last time. He had kept true to his promise, literally fucked you the entire night, christening his apartment, except his kitchen. “If we have sex in the kitchen, the only thing I’ll be thinking about while I’m cooking is your mouth around my dick.” He said as he pushed you into the wide window of his living room, making you laugh.
“Do you have to work today?” He placed a delicate kiss against your collar bone, laying his head on top of your chest.
“It’s Saturday, why would I have work on Saturday?” You smiled sleepily, running your fingers through his hair. He sighed happily, pulling his sheets over the two of you and cuddling into you further.
“You’re always working, I just wanted to ask.” He shrugged, raising his body enough to leave a chaste kiss against your lips. “Take a break today and I promise that by the time you wake up again I’ll have all of your files backed up into the harddrive I bought you.”
You shook your head, placing both of your palms against his cheeks, squishing them. “Do you know how sexy you sound when you talk about computers.”
“Nope, but you once told me to divide you in half when I was explaining finances to you. Now that I think about it, that statement can go both ways.” He smiled laying down on his back, bringing you along with him. Your eyes growing wide when you felt it running down your thighs. You sat up in panic, removing the sheets of your body to see if your silent hypothesis was correct.
“What’s wrong?” He asked, confused.
“Wonwoo, fuck...did we use protection?”
Wonwoo pushed the covers away with his feet, sitting up quickly. He looked between your legs, his eyebrows furrowing in concern, “You’re on the pill still right?”
“We changed my formula, I had to stop taking it for a few days.” You threw yourself down on his bed covering your eyes with your hands. The tears pooling against your eyes. You felt the bed dip next to you. Wonwoo took your hands in his, revealing your tearful eyes to him making him sigh.
“Baby, don’t worry.” He kissed your cheeks repeatedly before sitting up again, “I’ll run down to the convenience store, get a plan b while you go take a bath. I’ll join you when I get back.”
“W-What’s happens if I take the plan b and still miraculously end up pregnant, it’s only ninety five percent effective.”
“Then I’ll be with you every step of the way. I meant what I said earlier, I love you so much and I plan to marry you and have kids with you one day. Don’t worry.”
Your heart felt full. The butterflies erupting in the pit of your stomach. Wonwoo and you had shared many intimate dreams and desires before, but this one felt different. This was a dream the two of you shared and it made you feel at ease. “Okay, okay I will, just hurry up please.”
Wonwoo scoffed, getting up from his bed, slipping on his sweatpants and sweatshirt. “Baby please don’t underestimate me. I’ll be back before you know it.” He leaned down giving you one last kiss before jogging over to his front door. “I love you.” He shouted, opening the door.
You laughed sitting up on your elbows shaking your head, “I love you, now hurry I can feel your child cooking in me.”
“Impossible, it takes roughly twenty four hours for my sperm to fertilize one of your eggs, and it’s literally been thirty minutes. Therefore you wou--”
“Wonwoo shut up just hurry.”
“Okay I love you.” He said while closing his front door. You laughed shaking your head falling back on his bed. Your entire body was aching and though you were a little scared, given obvious circumstances. You had never felt so much warmth and happiness in your life.

Empty Threats
Jay Halstead
Tumblr media
Pairing: Jay Halstead x Ruzek!Reader, Adam Ruzek x Sister!Reader
Description: Best friends tell each other everything, right?
Words: 1,360
Requested: yes by anonymous; I had an idea where Adam ruzek has a younger sister (early 20s) who's a paramedic and she starts dating jay and Adam gets super overprotective when finds out a few months into the relationship but is also hurt she didn't tell him
Warnings: fluff (need I explain?), overprotective Adam, Adam being a bimbo (like usual), reader being sassy, mild language?
A/N: Jay Halstead and Adam Ruzek deserve the world. Does this count as a Jay or an Adam fic? I apologize in advance for any grammatical errors.
Your big brother Adam, your best friend and largest support system. He was there for you when no one else could be. To say the two of you were close would be a drastic understatement. Both of you went in the same path as first responders, him a cop with the Intelligence unit and you a paramedic at Firehouse 51. You had your respective work families that always managed to come together at Molly's after shifts. Meaning when you were introduced to the resident Intelligence hottie and Adam's work friend you immediately hit it off with him. Drinks at Molly's turned to take out at home watching the Blackhawks. Telling your brother every little thing about your life turned into keeping your best-kept secret, Jay Halstead.
The two of you had a few blissful and dare I say romantic months. You practically began staying over at his place more often than yours. Adam being the oblivious bimbo of a big brother you had, didn't notice anything that was happening between you and Jay when you all gathered for hangouts at Molly's. How could he, someone in the prestige Intelligence unit, not be able to pick up on the longing looks you and Jay shared? You would probably never know. Of course, the only people to know you and Jay were in a relationship were each other. It's not that you wanted to hide it, it was just nice to come home and have each other to yourselves.
Now the two of you were nearing the point of just wanting to come out and say it because the hiding had just become harder to do. Jay never liked to admit it but whenever you were around he was always touchy. Wanting to either keep a hand on the small of your back or your thigh or simply holding your hand. He just had to keep you in reaching distance and whenever you were around friends you had to act like you barely talked to each other outside of that bar. Jay was beginning to get fed up with the sneaking around, sure, he has to the same thing for his job but he didn't feel the need to continue doing it in his relationship. It's not like you explicitly said that the two of you had to sneak around your friends it just kind of happened that way.
Here the two of you were, sitting on Jay's couch cuddled up and watching the Blackhawks game while sipping on a beer and munching on some pizza. In all honesty, you weren't even paying attention to the game on the television. You were too busy playing with Jay's hand he had wrapped around your shoulders. Your head was resting on his chest as you listened to his heartbeat, it almost lulling you to sleep.
Breaking you out of your reverie was a knock on Jay's door. The two of you shared a confused glance before a louder knock was heard. Jay had gotten up to answer the door while you pouted at the loss of his warmth. Five minutes had passed and Jay was still standing at the door. With furrowed brows, you got up and padded toward his entryway.
"Jay, who is it?" You asked, rubbing your suddenly tired eyes.
"Was that my sister?" You heard the voice of your older brother question.
"Oh, crap." You muttered mentally facepalming as Adam pushed his way into Jay's apartment.
"Hey, big brother." You greeted him with an awkward smile as he stood in front of you with a look of disbelief.
"Out of everyone in Chicago, my sister?" Adam asked.
"I'm standing right here you know." You rolled your eyes at his overprotectiveness.
"We'll talk about this later." Adam looked pointedly at you before turning to face Jay, "you and I are going to have an important chat."
Jay stood there with an amused look on his face as he watched the younger man attempt to threaten him, an army veteran and current detective for the Intelligence unit. You stood behind the taller of the two men with crossed arms and your hip jutted out. Jay's eyes flickered over to your figure as he bit back a loud laugh. You looked just about done with this entire situation while Adam continued to drone on with empty threats.
"Adam, can you just stop?" You spoke up in annoyance.
Adam whipped his head around at the sudden sound of your voice. He caught your droopy eyes and pouted lips, ah yes the infamous puppy eyes. The baby Ruzek trademark as he'd like to call it. With his back turned to Jay the man in question smiled widely as he noticed what you were trying to do.
"No, stop that. I'm trying to be serious here." Adam argued, waving a pointed finger at your face.
"It's half past midnight, what are you even doing here?" You questioned with crossed arms.
"It's confidential information." Adam retorted.
"He was asking me advice on how to get Kim back." Jay spoke up from behind the taller man.
"Seriously?" Adam deflated and turned to Jay with a scowl.
"You couldn't have just asked him after work tomorrow?" You raised your eyebrows.
"It was a time-sensitive situation." Adam said flatly.
"Yeah, okay." You laughed unconvinced, "I'm tired, can we finish this tomorrow? I just had a double shift." You rubbed at your eyes again.
"I'll drive you home." Adam nodded as he grabbed your arm to pull to the door.
"But—" You scoffed.
"No, I'm driving you home where you can be sassy without your boy toy to help gang up on me." Adam shook his head.
"Boyfriend." You corrected.
"Whatever." Adam shrugged.
You pulled on your jacket and slipped on your shoes before turning back to Jay and placed a quick kiss on his lips, "I'll see you later." You smiled as Adam grabbed your forearm and pulled you out the door.
Eventually, the two of you pulled up to your apartment building. The entire ride there Adam was lost in his thoughts, meaning he was thinking about the fact his baby sister was dating his coworker and friend. He silently shifted in his seat to face you. You looked at him expectantly while he formulated his thoughts into words.
"Why didn't you tell me?" Adam asked, tilting his head to the side.
"It's not like I did it on purpose. It just kinda happened." You shrugged.
"But you always tell me everything. I guess not anymore." Adam scoffed.
"Adam, if this makes you feel any better you're the first one to know." You suggested hoping to get him to stop pouting.
"How long?" Adam nodded before asking.
"A few months." You answered.
"And I'm the first?" Adam questioned.
"Isn't that what I just said?" You asked.
"Fair enough." Adam nodded, "next time I don't want to walk into my sister and her boy toy though." Adam relaxed slightly.
"Boyfriend." You corrected again.
"Same difference." Adam pursed his lips.
"So we're good?" You asked hopefully.
"Yeah, as long as I get actual information from now on. And if he hurts you I won't hesitate to hurt him and make Olinsky help cover for me." Adam crossed his arms.
"All right, I'll take that." You nodded reluctantly, "just don't hurt him too bad, okay?"
"No promises." Adam laughed.
You leaned forward and placed a kiss on his cheek. "Thank you." You smiled widely.
"What can I say? I'm a great big brother." Adam shrugged nonchalantly.
You laughed before stepping out of his car to head into your apartment.
"No staying over at his place anymore!" Adam called out.
"I'm not sixteen anymore, Adam." You shook your head, "I'll do what I want."
"I swear I'm putting a tracker on you." Adam argued.
"Good luck with that, big brother. Bye!" You waved before opening the door to your building and headed in.
It's safe to say none of Adam's threats worked but Jay played it off for the sake of his sanity. It's not like Jay would hurt you anyway, he's learned from his mistakes if you could call them that.

Run to You Part Three
Tumblr media
Derek Morgan x Reader
Words: 1758
Part 3 of 3
Part One; Part Two
Summary: Having been dating for a while, you finally feel comfortable enough to introduce your boyfriend to your daughter, Angelica. Derek takes on the role better than you could have imagined and you start to feel like a family. Then one day, Angelica disappears from a friend’s house and your ex husband starts making demands.
Notes: Is this procedurally correct? Probably not. But here it is! The last part to my Derek Morgan imagine! I hope you guys enjoy this and never forget that replies mean the world! This one kinda feels jumbled, but I hope you still like it. (I’m sorry it took forever! I got caught up with other projects, which I hope to be sharing soon!)
More Criminal Minds: HERE
-
The swarms of cops were overwhelming. You watched teams and teams of people surrounded the block Dr. Reid was the one that figured out that Lance had brought Angelica to the church that you got married, especially upon the discovery that it was going to be torn down in a few weeks. The idea of losing the one connection to you he had left was likely a trigger.
No one was allowed to get too close. They worried that cornering Lance would make him panic and kill Angelica, so you were forced to stand back and watch. They made sure you weren’t alone, of course, though you weren’t sure if it was to comfort you or to make sure you didn’t try and run in alone. With all of the standing around you were doing, you felt ready to break down the front door.
“Alright, so we’re sending a team around to the back to get in as quickly and quietly as possible. That’ll be me, Prentiss and a couple of the local P.D.” Derek explained, keeping his eyes locked on yours to make sure you understood that he wasn’t going to let anything happen to your baby.
“He wants me, Derek. What if he knows you’re in there and he panics and he-”
“Hey, listen to me,” He put a hand on your cheek. “I’m not gonna let that happen.” Despite the eyes of his coworkers, he pulled you in for a gentle, reassuring kiss. It did little to calm you down, but just having him there made the situation that much easier. That moment, however, was cut short by the ringing of your phone.
“God, not again.” You cried, pulling the device from your pocket. This time, Derek held out his hand. You gave him a confused look, but handed it to him.
“Mr. Booker.”
“You must be Agent Morgan.” Lance spat. “I know that you and your gang of federal pigs are coming after me. It doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter because Y/N will see she’s wrong. I’ll show her she’s wrong.”
“Mr. Booker, we just want Angelica to be safely returned to her mother.”
“What about her father, Agent Morgan? What about me!”
“I want to make this as easy on you as possible, Mr. Booker, but you’ve got to help me out here.”
“Just bring my wife to me and nobody will get hurt.”
“I can’t do that, Lance. You know I can’t do that.” Derek could tell that you were starting to panic from the way your eyes kept darting to the church and you slowly crept closer. He took your hand to keep you from bolting in there.
“If I don’t see her in the next half hour... I’m taking my baby girl with me.” The call ended, but Morgan was already prepping his team to go in.
“Derek, what did he say?” You kept your grip on his hand, following him to join Prentiss.
“Nothing that he hasn’t already said.” He gave you the most reassuring look he could, but he knew that they had to act fast.
“I’m going with you.”
“No. No, baby, you can’t.” He took your face in his hands. “Y/N, I need you to stay here. I need you to be safe. I can’t go get your little girl if I’m worried about you too, okay?” You shut your eyes, feeling more frightened tears slip down your cheeks.
“What if he… what if you don’t get her in time? I need to see her, I-I need-”
“Don’t even think like that, baby.” He looked over your shoulder and motioned to the younger agent to stand beside you. “Now Reid is going to stay here with you, okay?” Reid gave him a small nod and put a comforting hand on your shoulder. Derek kissed your forehead. “I’ll be right back and I’m bringing Angel with me.”
As he walked away, you could feel your body start to shake. This wasn’t happening. This couldn’t be happening. You shut your eyes tight, the foolish part of you hoping that when you opened them, Derek and Angie would be smiling in front of you. But when you finally opened your eyes, all you saw was him walking away.
-
Morgan moved silently, followed closely by his team. Prentiss was right behind him and the other officers were ready to go. From what they could tell, Lance was in the chapel, keeping Angelica towards the back. The church had multiple entrances with one leading to the basement. This was determined to be the best point of entry since Lance was least likely to hear the team coming.
While you couldn’t see him anymore, your heart beat more with every second. Dr. Reid stood by your side, his presence serving as a small comfort as he listened to the situation through his earpiece. He shifted suddenly and gave you a small, if not nervous, smile.
“They’re in.”
Derek directed the officers to one staircase while he and Prentiss crept up the other. The old floors creaked as they walked, making him wince. He could only hope that Lance couldn’t hear them. They moved fast and efficiently like they would any other raid, but his body was buzzing more than usual. He focused on the image of Angelica and kept going.
“Morgan,” Prentiss stopped suddenly, looking around the corner.
Angelica was seated on top of the old alter, swinging her small legs back and forth while she colored in a tattered psalm book. Booker was nowhere to be found. Morgan and Prentiss approached her slowly, double checking to make sure Lance wasn’t waiting for them. As soon as they were sure, Morgan ran to the little girl.
“Derek!” She cried, throwing her arms around his neck.
“It’s alright, Angel. I’ve got you. It’s going to be okay.” He cradled the back of her head, holding her closed to his chest.
“Sweetheart, I need you to tell us where your dad went.” Prentiss said gently. Angelica just gave her a tearful look and pointed up. The two agents exchanged a look, reaching the same conclusion. Derek motioned to one of the officers and reluctantly handed her a crying Angelica.
“I wanna stay w-with D-Derek!”
“I know, sweetie, but this nice woman is going to take you out to your mama, okay? I have to go find your dad with Emily. I’ll be out before you know it, but I need you to be brave. Can you do that?”
She nodded, but held onto his hand until he had to pull away. Prentiss put a hand on his shoulder.
“Morgan if you need to-”
“No, I want to finish this. I’m not letting that son of a bitch take the easy way out.”
As they made their way to the roof, you were desperately watching the door of the church, gripping Dr. Reid’s hand a little too tightly. Time was ticking and your heart beat faster every second.
Suddenly, a group of officers exited the church. You didn’t see Derek, but at the back of the group, a female officer held Angelica. Immediately dropping Reid’s hand, you sprinted towards her, taking her from the officer’s arms and holding her closer than you ever had. You cried as her hands clung to your shirt, promising yourself to never let her out of your sight again.
On the roof, Derek stared down Lance as he prepared to jump.
“Don’t do it, Mr. Booker.” Prentiss said, carefully taking a step towards him.
“There isn’t a point anymore.” The man swayed back and forth, almost losing his balance. “I just wanted us to be a family again.”
“Killing yourself won’t fix what you did all those years ago, Lance.”
“I loved Y/N. I swear I did. But I kept hurting her. I kept hurting her and now my daughter doesn’t even know who I am.”
“Is this how you want Angelica to remember you? The man who hurt her mom and took her away?” Derek inched closer, careful not to provoke him into jumping. “If you die now, that’s all she’ll know.”
“Don’t come any closer!”  Lance screamed, but he had stopped swaying.
“Lance, you can spend the rest of your life giving her something good to remember. You owe her that much.” A darker part of Derek wanted Lance to know the pain that he inflicted upon you and your family, but the words he said now were true. The best thing Lance could do was try to redeem himself after everything he had done.
“I...I… okay.” Lance seemed in a daze as he stepped off of the ledge. Prentiss cuffed him and the two led him back downstairs.
Lance left the church first, making your heart sink. You almost didn’t recognize him. He was just a shell, nothing like the man you knew all those years ago. Maybe, one day, you would learn to feel sorry for him, but for now, as you watched him be loaded into the patrol car, you only felt relief.
“Derek!” Angelica squealed, reaching out her arms. You whirled around and felt another sob escape your throat.
The team watched Derek run to you, taking both you and Angelica in his arms. Prentiss finished getting Booker into the car and joined Hotchner, Reid, and Rossi.
“That’s not something I thought I’d see.” She whispered with a smile.
“Did you not think we’d get to the little girl on time?” Reid asked.
“No,” She motioned to the trio in front of them. A family. “Derek falling in love.” The rest of the team smiled and separated into their designated vehicles.
-
The crowd shouted and cheered as Angelica sprinted towards home plate. Visitors 3, Home team 6. You cheered louder than anyone. Well, maybe not anyone.
“That’s right! You can’t touch her!” Penelope screamed at the other team’s players. Everyone from the BAU had shown up. Over the past few months, you’d gotten to know all of them pretty well, even earning Penelope’s approval.
“She’s good.” Emily smiled at you. You nodded.
“She has a good coach.” You looked down at the dugout where Derek was waiting to give Angel a high-five. You must have caught his eye because he beamed up at you with that knockout smile. You grinned back.
“You guys seem really happy.” J.J. mused, giving you a supportive smile. You nodded, keeping your eyes on Derek.
“Yeah.” You waved down at him and your daughter as she came in for her victory. “We are.”

I. “Sorry,” the guy says, his voice deep and sun-warmed. Dean steps back, extending his hands as if to say no problem, and then he recognizes the guy--it’s Castiel, the dude from the campus coffeeshop with the weird name that made a bunch of people look up, Dean included.
“You’re Castiel,” Dean says. “I’m Dean.”
“I’ve never been introduced to myself before,” Castiel replies, but he’s grinning, and he sticks out his hand for Dean to shake. Dean helps Castiel pick up the papers he dropped when Dean ran into him, and they walk to their next class together, because it turns out Religion 101 and Intro to Philosophy are in the same building. Castiel tosses Dean a peace sign as he turns towards his classroom, and Dean waves back.
II. A week later, Dean's outside his history professor’s office to get feedback on a paper when Castiel walks up, his head buried in a book. He looks up when Dean coughs, and then a smile grows on his face.
“How are you, Dean?” Castiel asks, as if there hasn’t been a gap in their conversation at all.
“I’ve been better. Dr. Turner is about to ream me over this essay. I may have...left it until the last minute.” Dean paused. “How are you?”
“Trying to finish reading this book before my next class. I may have...also left it until the last minute.” Castiel’s smile grows broader.
Just then, Dr. Turner opens his office door, and Dean smiles at Castiel ruefully.
“Hey, Dean,” Castiel says, just as Dean follows Dr. Turner into the office and is about to close the door, “I never got a last name.”
“Winchester. You?”
“Novak.”
III. “Who the hell would drive this monstrosity?” Benny, Dean’s coworker at the auto shop he works at after class, asks. They’re both staring at a massive gold Lincoln Continental from the seventies that has a popped tire and is, according to their boss, making “funny noises.”
“That would be me,” a familiar voice says, and Dean turns to see the shock of dark hair and vibrant blue gaze that indicates Castiel Novak.
“Oh, hey, Cas--Castiel,” Dean says.
“Cas is fine. But yes, I drive this...’monstrosity.’” Cas uses finger quotes and everything.
“You and Dean should get along, then,” Benny quips, “He acts like his car was God’s gift to mankind.”
“Hey!” Dean protests. “Baby demands respect.”
Cas quirks an eyebrow. “You call your car Baby?”
“So what?” Dean frowns at Cas, although it’s difficult, what with the twinkle he can see in the other guy’s eye.
“So can you fix my car?”
“We can,” Benny says. “For sure.”
After Cas leaves, Benny elbows Dean and winks at him. Dean decides to pretend not to know Benny for the rest of their shift.
IV. They see each other all the time after that, almost like the universe is pushing them together. When Cas sees Dean’s car, his dad’s old 1967 Chevy Impala, he tells Dean it’s a “ridiculous” car, and Dean only doesn’t write him off completely because he’s starting to like Cas.
They run into each other in the student union or the library and do homework. If they’re both at the coffeeshop where Dean first heard Cas’ name, they sit together. Cas shows Dean pictures of his cats and Dean tells Cas stories about what his little brother, Sam, who’s still in high school, has been up to. He learns that Cas’ whole family lives over five hundred miles away, that Cas chose this university to get away from them. Cas learns in turn that Dean is only thirty minutes from his hometown on purpose, in case his mom or brother need him.
Cas is a member of their university’s beekeeping club and he’s double majoring in philosophy and English. Dean doesn’t know what he wants to major in yet, maybe social work, so he’s getting all his pre-reqs out of the way. Cas says that it’s okay to not know what he wants to do, and Dean believes him.
This goes on for a couple of months, and at some point hardly a day goes by where they don’t see each other, and it’s kind of the best thing that’s ever happened to Dean.
V. Dean doesn’t often go to parties, but his friend Charlie who he met in DnD club found out about some frat having one this weekend and apparently they had to go, which is how he’s found himself standing awkwardly in the hallway of a random fraternity, nursing a potentially hazardous red Solo cup of jungle juice.
“Well hey there, stranger.”
Dean turns to see Cas holding a beer. “Hey,” Dean replies, feeling his face warm. He would be lying if he said he wasn’t attracted to Cas, but Cas is his friend, and besides, Cas is cool. Interesting. He writes poetry and wears vintage button-down shirts and paints his own Converse. Dean feels like he himself is what would happen if you made the midwest a person: flannel, leather, ripped jeans, work boots, none of it to be aesthetic. This is just what he looks like.
He runs a hand through his hair nervously, takes a sip of his drink.
“Come here often?” Cas asks after a moment. The hallway is dark, the music audible even though they aren’t in the main room.
“Ha.” Dean swirls his jungle juice. “Charlie--I’ve told you about her, I think--she dragged me here. Pretty sure she’s making out with her girlfriend on a couch as we speak.”
“She threw you to the wolves?”
“A little.” Dean smiles ruefully. “I’m usually reading mystery novels on the weekends and she told me I was boring.” “That’s funny.” Cas smiles with just his eyes. “I would say you’re anything but boring.”
Dean shrugs. He’s glad for the dim lighting because he just knows his face is getting redder the longer this conversation goes on. He fidgets with the cuff of his flannel with the hand not holding his drink and stares off into space.
“Hey Dean?” Cas says suddenly.
“Hm?”
“Do you like me?” Cas tilts his head slightly, like he always does.
“What?” Dean sets his cup on the windowsill next to him. “Do I--what?”
“Just wondering. It’s alright if you don’t.”
Dean furrows his brow. “Do you...like me?” God, this feels like he’s in eighth grade again, crushing on the guy that would always let him borrow a pen in science class.
Cas considers for a moment. “Definitely.”
Dean’s eyes widen. “Oh.”
Cas somehow tilts his head further. “Well?”
“Uh, yes. I, uh--” Dean fumbles, but he can’t take his eyes off Cas, who knocks back the rest of his beer and sets the bottle on the floor before stepping into Dean’s personal space.
“Can I kiss you?” Cas is smiling.
“Please.”
At first, it’s gentle--just a tentative press of lips, Dean can feel the upward curve of Cas’ lips. Then it turns into something a little heavier as Dean’s brain gets back online and he remembers that he has hands, and that’s Cas’ tongue, tentatively exploring, and then not-so-tentatively exploring, and Dean’s pretty sure he might explode.
Eventually they part--Cas has backed Dean against the nearest wall, and Dean has his hands on Cas’ hips, pulling them together, and then Cas leans his forehead against Dean’s.
“Hey Dean?”
“Mmm-hmm?” “Do you think I could get your phone number?”

“that’s your ex?” wendy blinks once before proceeding to openly ogle the - as per jennie’s excited text - ‘tall and handsome as hell cutie’ who’s in the middle of speaking to irene who seems to be sporting a larger-than-her-daily smile as her body moves as she nods and laughs and nods again, “i mean - i was expecting some hobo looking guy with spectacles bigger than his head and snot running down his face.”
with a cringe, you shoot her a much needed side eye, “okay first off - ew,”  throwing your gaze back at jeongguk, “second off, we only dated for like three months before everyone started sleeping with everybody.”
“like orgies and shits?” this time, it’s her turn to cringe.
“no,” you roll your eyes, “i mean we had our first fight, he slept with my best friend so i slept with his brother who was dating that best friend.”
“oh,” you can almost feel the way her eyes shift from you ex to you as you continue to type on the computer, “guess no more family dinners.”
“it gets better,” you feel a creep up your face as you turn to meet her wide eyed gaze, “me and his brother got into the same college and we decided to stay friends and now his mom knows me as taehyung’s best friend instead of her second child’s ex-girlfriend.”
by the end of it, wendy’s jaw is quite literally on the floor, missing her chance to greet the cutie who’s obviously led here by irene. standing up, you fix the man who seems to have turned into ice, “thank you, irene, i’ll take it from here,” without even missing a beat you give jeongguk a once over, admitting his worth of the nickname he’ll soon forth be known as in the office, “mr. jeon, mr. park is thrilled to meet you.”
jimin didn’t exactly say that - he only yawned when you briefed him about the interview with the possible new tech guy before dozing off in the passenger seat for the rest of the ride.
“you work here?” thawed from his initial shock, jeongguk hurriedly tries to catch up to you when he sees you walking towards the double doors of your boss’ office which is just twenty feet away.
“oh no, i just deliver pizza and happen to know where the ceo’s office is,” and that marks your second eyeroll for the day to which jeongguk’s lips tuck into a blatant sneer.
before he even finished his “someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed”, you’re already knocking twice on the door before strutting into the room where jimin’s face lights up at the sight of you before returning to its unsmiling state when his eyes lands on something over your shoulder.
“mr. park, mr. jeon is here for the interview for the management information systems director position,” you hand him the ipad with jeongguk’s resume opened and ready for inspection.
jeongguk pretends not to see your feigned smile as you pass him but before you manage to exit the room, a voice stops you, “oh, miss ____, do you mind telling  irene to make me an extra strong coffee?”
“i can make that, mr. park,” you announce, eyebrows threatening to weave themselves together at the peculiar order.
jimin only chuckles, “miss ____, you and i’s definition of extra strong is vastly different,” but before you can debunk it, he’s already complementing his insult with a praise, “you make the nicest chamomile tea though.”
all while jeon jeongguk stands in the middle of the way yet he’s the last thing you see and probably the last thing jimin notices.
“that’s fair,” with a nod and an amused smile, you leave through the door, knowing full well jeongguk is more than able to distinguish between what’s a facade and what’s not.
and he may very well be the first to call bullshit on your too respectful interactions with your boss.
x
jeongguk gets the position. naturally, he would - he graduated at the top of his class, became valedictorian, dished out an inspiring speech to which taehyung showed you a video of when you were having your trimonthly meet up a year a ago.
he was a cutie with brains and brawn. his department sucked him in as their new director and colleague in no time. the news of the new tall and handsome as hell cutie who apparently looks better than most people in suit has spread to every other department with wendy and irene liasing between the rumors - considering the fact that they take the ‘first interaction’ privilege.
perks of being part of jimin’s secretary trio, you suppose.
the aforementioned man peeks up at you with a smirk, his leather black salvator snaking up the side of your black mesh pantyhose as you stand in front of him and just until five seconds ago, were briefing him about his meeting with the representative of the manufacturing company for the new chip.
“miss jisoo will be here in two hours and she’ll be discussing the direct materials cost, direct labor cost and manufacturing overhead - that’s where i’ll need you to pay attention because maque it is known for their concrete bargains but exceptional product outcome.” you inform.
“mr. park,” his eyes snap to yours, “my eyes are up here.”
you’re not sure what he sees, but it may or may not have something to do with your unyielding force but flirtatious tone - either way, he lets out a surrendered chuckle.
“i got it - bargain, get the cheapest overall cost but the best production,” he says before guiding your hand that’s under his chin to his mouth, taking your pinky finger between his pearly whites.
“good, call me if you need anything else,” you nod in approval, lips curling into a satisfied smile before summoning your hand back to your side.
the sound of your heels reverberate against the walls as you make your way to the doors but before you manage to step one foot out, he’s calling out for you, “____,” voice unsettlingly calm but his words couldn’t have been any more overbearing, “i expect the same amount of dedication for your... other line of work.”
you would have let that smile tuck into a knowing smirk, would have given him something to look forward to - enough to keep him on his toes for the rest of the day but not enough to be a distraction to his tasks. if not for the sight of a flock of wavy black hair and darkest brown eyes.
“mr. jeon,” your voice may have rose a pitch higher but you’ve managed to school it into a pleasant smile, “how may i help you?”
jeongguk’s eyebrows falter just the slightest bit as a flash of confusion mixed with suspicion crosses his face before he plainly says, “i have something to discuss with the ceo about my work.”
“i’m not sure how things work at your previous company but you need to schedule a meeting with mr. park before anything else but i’ll be glad to navigate you through your scope of duty since mr. park will redirect me to you anyway,” you say simply, noticing how the man’s eyes flit towards the tinted grey glass with three horizontal parallel line down the middle where one can distortedly see jimin’s body turned towards the glass the way it had been when you last saw him.
clearly, he’s watching this unfold through the same see through space.
“it’ll just take a sec - i promise,” jeongguk sounds halfway annoyed with your insistence.
when he takes a step to the side, you take another to the same side, “mr. jeon, this kind of behavior - and on your first day, at that - isn’t something you need on your record and i didn’t make that policy, it was mr. park,” with a the slightest tilt of your head, you let the smile turn into a snide one, “and since you’ve been going around chatting with your new coworkers, you should know a thing or two about how seriously mr. park values one’s descipline during work.”
he shoots you one last pondering look, tongue forming a gentle protrusion in his left cheek like he’d unconsciously do when he’s debating to do the opposite of what he’s told by first agreeing and then finding another way to get what he wants.
“fine,” his shoulder line jolts as he shrugs, hands shoved into his pocket as a strand of hair falls over his forehead, “i need a list of names of the people in my department as well as the last twenty year’s worth of projects held by the company.”
the smile you have on threatens to split into a disgruntled sneer at his ridiculous demand. ten years is the maximum amount of time someone would take to review and understand the workings of the company. fifteen is a stretch because there’s a chance of a change of policy. but a record of the past ten years means you’ll have to do some digging in the storage room since not all files were digitalized and being the new director of the IT department, jeon jeongguk is not oblivious to that very fact.
“i’ll have them on your desk by thursday,” you announce and he reiterates, “i need them by tomorrow.”
and that’s the last straw for you - letting out a sound between a scoff and a snide laughter, you place your hand on your hip, “huh, are you crazy?”
“i mean, as the new director, i need to learn the ropes of the company asap, no? don’t tell me you can’t even do that?” a smile creeps up jeongguk’s face, one that mimics that of a predator who’s caught his prey walking straight into his trap, “and all that talk about discipline.”
the contemptuous chuckle at the end is what boils the blood in your veins and before you know it, you’re spouting out words that you instantaneously regret as soon as they come out.
“of course, i’ll have them on your desk by tomorrow.”
x
“achoo!”
you curse underneath your breath as you sniffle from the remnants of the sneeze. fourty-three minutes in and you’re already on your nth sneezing fit. index finger flitting across the labels on the box, it takes you three nose scrunching and five boxes down the shelf to find a light blue label with ‘1998′ written next to a ‘september’.
well, that’s the second month of the year 1998 that you’ve managed to locate. the process repeats itself for a good twelve more minutes before you hear the screech of the in-need-of-oiling door and the echo of footsteps against the quiet walls before a tall, black haired figure steps into your periphery.
he’s looking as fresh and crisp as the tie hanging around his neck while you’re pretty sure your updo hair is halfway to giving out to gravity with how you’ve been moving boxes of files around.
“so what are we looking for?” jeongguk begins unnervingly calmly.
but you’re not one to turn down a hand, “anything blue with a label of 1990 up till 2010 - oh and they come in months.”
instead of complaining or at least making his displeasure known, the man simply starts searching the shelves five feet apart from you.
and so it goes, your file searching journey with your ex slash newly appointed coworker. multiple scenarios rushed through your head when you first heard jimin’s excellent review after jeongguk left. the elder man had been typing away on his mac when you’d come to pick up the empty mugs of coffee when he’d passingly say, “you know, there’s something about him that the other candidates lack - where’d you find this guy?”
but you never thought that being stuck in the files room alone would ever come up with this outcome-
“i heard you were the one who recommended me,” that voice of his is as sweet as the first drop of nectar but instead of the boyish tint, it’s tinged with a taste of wine and masculinity.
it’s familiar yet foreign all at once.
“then you must know all three secretaries were required to pick someone to recommend the job for,” with that, you twirl on your heels, a partially full box in your hand as you strut towards the desk where its blue shaded comrades awaits.
“so i’ve been told,” and that’s how you know jeongguk’s initial casual nature was just a facade to conceal his guilt-ridden conscience, “why didn’t you tell me? you didn’t even sign your name in the email - you never mentioned anything -”
“it’s nothing personal, guk,” you cut him off, back on him you pretend to rummage through each individual file of the recent box you’d found, “we needed a new IT director and you fit the criteria but if i gave out any indication that i was the one who reached out to you, your decisions might be affected by that - even just the slightest bit and that’s the last thing i want,” you say simply, “not to mention we pay better - so you get it, right?”
when you twirl around to face him, arms crossed over you chest, ass leaned up against the desk whilst your left knee slants to rest over its right counterpart, you finally meet the man’s curious doe eyes. they’re marred with the signs of life but still as exuberant and beautiful as the first day he stopped you in the hallway. his smiles are more expensive now and he doesn’t shyly look down before talking to you but he’s still the same high school heartthrob you’d had the fattest crush on.
and that’s the thing about high school and the matters of the heart - they’re meant to stay in the past as a fond yet foolish reminder of the things you would do when you were 16.
“i can’t have my guy prancing around the office like an uncivilized raccoon and ji- mr. park is extremely particular about time,” you sigh, throwing your gaze to your blood red soles if only because you can’t hold his gaze longer than this, “trust me, i don’t do things to inconvenience you just because i should have some kind of personal vendetta against you - i don’t.”
“wonder why i have been getting the opposite vibe from you ever since i came,” his shoulder line jolts slightly as he shrugs, eyes rolling but the tiniest smile on his face tells you that it’s all a good natured jest.
“i’m sorry - every time i look at you, it feels like i went back to being that high school girl who lashed out at everyone and everything,” it’s the way his eyes sparkle like stars at your words that drives you to quickly add, “my therapist told me to take a step back every time i feel like saying something mean to you because it’s just my own defense mechanism - i’m still working on it.”
“oh,” is all he says before a blanket of silence wraps around the both of you. it goes on for the longest moment with jeongguk’s unfocused yet heavy gaze on you.
he does that - staring off at something when he’s processing information and knowing his ex-girlfriend who he cheated on now goes to therapy, isn’t something one hears everyday.
“well, let’s get these,” you light tap the box on your left, “to your office - i’ll have the intern pick the rest later.”
“oh-” almost as though snapped from a daze, jeongguk blinks. one. twice. until he’s rushing to your side to get at least two boxes, one piled on top of the other, in each arm while you choose to only carry two.
when he finally finds his words, the first thing he says it -“you don’t have to get me all 20 years of record - 10 is enough and if you walk me through how things work, i’d be really grateful.”
you scoff, a smile on your lips before he mimics yours, “are you like, concerned about me cause i told you i’m seeing therapist -”
“me? concerned? about you?” his body moves along with his eye roll but his tone lacks the sarcasm he’s intending, “not in a thousand years.”
x
jeongguk is concerned. he tips toes around you like you’re the thinly veiled ice over a lake of emotions. as though one wrong move and you’ll break. and that’s how you know you’re not the only one who’s changed and grown with the years you spent apart.
the jeon jeongguk you knew couldn’t care less if you’d fallen into the darkest depth of your ruins - only because you’d hurt him just as much.
though you haven’t got to the point of having lunch together like wendy and irene and the entire team from his department had, you’ve had moments in between  coming back from lunch with jimin and just before lunch hour is up where you’re in the pantry with ice cream in your hand and your phone in the other.
while you’re sure no one would be coming around this time of the day, jeon jeongguk finds away to surprise you with his sudden appearance. strutting in as if he doesn’t notice you, picking up the instant coffee packet only to place one newly stirred coffee cup between you and him as he sips his own that he made with the one he’s apparently gifting you.
“why?” you narrow your eyes at him, suspicion filling every inch of your curled lips.
“oh you know,” his shoulder line shrugs and you realize he’s grown a few inches taller because his shoulder fully past your head, “cause i heard you like your coffees with cream too.”
“how do i know it’s not poisoned?” still dubious, you keep your eyes on him like a hawk - nothing can get past you, not even a nervous gulp.
but instead, he throws his head back, sighing, “___, you literally saw me make them.”
“i don’t know, you’re acting kinda sus, guk,” you insist, phone screen long dead as you take one last bite of the ice cream before tossing the stick into the trashcan.
“sus? me?” his free hand comes flying up to his chest as he looks at you in disbelief.
“give me yours,” you finally announce, hand struck out with your palm facing upwards.
“whatever, idiot,” he shakes his head still, despite failing to hide the tiniest smile that begins to tuck on the corners of his lips before placing the cup he’s been holding on your awaiting hand.
“yay,” you grin, delighted before taking  one long sip and breathing out in satisfaction, “i live another day.”
x
and so it goes, the light banters between moments in time. luckily for you, jeongguk is all round charmer that makes anyone and everyone - men, women and non-bonarys alike - who’s talking to him smile from ear to ear from something he says. possibly a compliment, possibly an agreement to what the other party was saying.
nobody suspected that either of you knew each other prior to this and that’s one less office rumor to look out for. you offer to help jeongguk settle in, murmuring names of the people who greets him so that he’d greet back with their informed name, seeing their faces light up a bit more at the realization that their new boss’s recognition.
“aren’t you with park 24/7? how do you know everyone in this company?” he asks one fine morning after you both got to his desk.
“i’d say it’s talent but i basically had to memorize them overnight right after i joined,” you shrug, “it wasn’t easy but you realize the difference it makes in everyone’s performance when they think their boss knows who they are.”
“so that’s the kind of person park is,” jeongguk nods whilst clicking on the ‘transfer files’ option on the screen of his computer.
“mr. park isn’t like the devil boss from hell - he’s just really self-disciplined,” you correct.
“if he was then why did he make you memorize the names of his employees?” he shoots you a look, one that says ‘you know i’m right’ to which you only roll your eyes.
“the same reason why he needs three secretaries to do his bidding - he’s too busy,” you shoot him a ‘no, you’re not’ look before sticking out your hand after the files are finish being transferred.
“how come i only get one?” his eyebrows knit together in a mixture of dissatisfaction and confusion as he places the usb drive into your hand, not quite showing any signs to take his own hand off just yet.
“maybe ‘cause you’re not that important?” you shoot him a similar ‘you know i’m right’ kind of manner and before he can even say anything, you’re curling your hand over the drive before twirling on your heels.
“ouch, you know that kinda hurts,” a voice comes up behind you and almost like a tidal wave, your apology comes in a second too soon, “really? sorry, i went too far-”
before you can even finish your words, you’re left rooted in your spot. a few feet away from the glass encased room where most of the executives and their secretaries are seen stepping in.
it’s the chuckle that reverberates against your eardrums that washes away your initial guilt like sand on shore, “you’re so-” jeongguk pauses, staring at you with eyes you can’t quite decipher and a flash of emotion you have never seen him make, “you’re so soft, you know that?”
“that wasn’t funny, jeongguk,” you fix him a hard stare, arms crossing over your chest.
“sorry - what i meant is,” and that’s the thing about the two of you - ever since you’d admitted your faults, jeongguk has followed your lead to apologize first. pride seems to be the last thing standing between the two of you at the moment - and it’s times like these, where you’re willing to listen and he’s willing to explain, that you think you might just escape that dark dwelling you call your past.
“miss ___,” a familiar voice drums in your ears, a hand on your lower back pulling your attention from the man in front of you to the attractive devil that’s on your side. the infernal spark in those dark eyes of his disappears as soon as he turns to - “jeongguk, i take it miss ____ has been a great help with the presentation you’re about to show us?”
“yes,” the aforementioned man nods, a look of unadulterated confidence making its way to his face as it replaced the lingering stare where jimin’s arm disappeared behind you, “i couldn’t have finished it this fast without ___.”
at jeongguk’s words, jimin lets a smile slip onto his strong features, making him look less like the unapproachable man he’s known for, “i’m looking forward to it.”
it’s only after jeongguk is walking a few steps ahead towards the open doors of the meeting room and jimin’s hand has long left your body, does the man murmur under his breath, “i’ve received applications for jeongguk’s secretary position, do you mind looking through them for me? though... i left them at my place - if you could come up with me to pick them later after work, it’d be great.”
“really?” you quickly say, before realizing it’d come off too excited for a request of overtime so you clear your throat, looking around the vicinity to see if anyone noticed, “i mean, yes, i can do that - i can drop by for a few minutes.”
“perfect,” his eyes disappears into crescents as the corners of his lips tuck higher before you part ways - him taking the seat at the end of the oval table while you head over to the computers connected to the projector, shoving the drive you’ve had trapped in your hand into its port.
x
“i’ve heard some things,” jimin’s honey voice is barely the subject of your conscience as you watch his lithe fingers working around the buckle of his belt until one end hangs loose before he pulls on the other, the sound of leather against fabric cutting the air like knife.
after jeongguk’s presentation which was met with praises and positive responses by the board, jimin had easily approved of the proposed updates on the - as the first would call it - a tad bit out dated data base. when the wendy, irene and the rest of his team was about to head out for dinner to celebrate their well earned success, you’d belatedly told them that you couldn’t make it because you had to drive jimin home.
seeing as it was a norm for the head secretary to also take on the role of the ceo’s chauffer, nobody questioned it.
nobody but the latest addition to the company.
jeongguk looked like he wanted to say something, stared at you a little longer as you fixed him and the rest of your leaving coworkers a ‘have fun, guys!’ kind of wave. but you suppose that could wait.
“i didn’t think you’d be one to pay attention to rumors,” you manage to say, swallowing heavily as you tear your gaze from jimin’s apt hands that are looping the belt into its buckle.
“this one’s a little bit interesting,” the chuckle he lets out is sinfully innocent compared to the way he slips the looped belt through your head and pulls on it, forcing the leather material to envelop your neck like a collar, “something about you and jeon having a special relationship.”
“that’s-” the words gets stuck in your throat when your heart leaps up at the slightest tuck on your neck, almost as if he’s saying to ‘choose your words carefully, dove.’
“it’s a matter of the distant past,” you say, sending a grateful prayer to the gods for allowing your voice to sound unbothered.
“didn’t seem like what the rumors are saying,” his breath fans your face as he whispers against your ear - you have to clench your fists together to stop the shivers from wracking through your body, “but that’s alright - at the end of the day, it’s my name you’re screaming.”
a moan escapes your mouth when a pair of plump lips press against yours. sparks in your veins and passion in your heart. before you know it, you’re blindly grasping onto the zipper of of jimin’s trousers, salivating at the thought of a part of him you know too well.
“please, daddy, let me suck your dick,” you plea, eyebrows knitting together with a sort of yearning and frustration from how achingly patient the striking blonde man in front of you is.
if it were up to him, you’d be soaking up the carpeted floor with your arousal throughout the night and he’d still manage to edge you on until you’re begging to come.
but that’s the thing, either way, you’re going to be begging for him. and you’d learned earlier on that you gain less from holding onto your pride than holding onto jimin’s dick.
with your mouth, that is.
x
it’s the morning after that - that you curse yourself for not putting any restraints to your carnal desires. in your defense though, begging and pleading jimin to push you to your limits seemed like an irresistible option at the time. that is, until you’re digging out what clothes you have in the drawer in your allocated room only to find most of them catering to the neck-to-just-above-the-cleavage-reveal kind of look.
so you opt for scarves - the bruises aren’t bad but the first days are always the hardest. and jimin notices the way you’re craning your neck from side to side as you keep your eyes trained on the red light that’s about to turn green anytime soon.
“does it hurt?” the saccharine sweet voice drips with honeyed concern whilst his hand goes to massage the back of your neck.
you hum in appreciation, “that feels good.”
“maybe i should’ve been gentler,” the tinge of remorse in his voice doesn’t go past you.
“that’s not even where it hurts most,” you giggle, feeling the familiar tingle in between your legs but you manage to push it to the back of your mind as you say, “but you know i like it when you’re rough.”
jimin only laughs, head shaking at your blatant confession. and so the mini massage session continues until the car starts rolling into motion. you go on with your morning routine of reminding him of the list of things he’ll have to do and people to meet for the day.
it’s only after you’ve parked the car and turning off the ignition that your phone dings with a notification of a ‘you received 50, 000 dollars from park jimin’.
squealing, you hop out of the car, heels click clacking against the concrete as you mini run towards the blond who’d slipped out of the car a second earlier.
“thank you, daddy!” you grin, hands wrapping around his arm as he chuckles softly, eyes disappearing into crescent moons.
“i booked you a session at lotus nirvana for the weekend,” he says a minute later as you stand in front of the elevator.
“oh my god,” you gasp, jaw hitting the floor, “the lotus? really?”
“and you can bring a plus one,” he boops your nose with his index finger, making you scrunch it because of the ticklish feeling it leaves.
“you’re the best!” you stand on your tip toes, placing a kiss on his cheekbone just before the elevator stops one level below the ceo and chairman’s parking level, revealing none other than jeongguk in a dashing cobalt blue louis vouitton suit.
you’ve managed to detach yourself from the now-unsmiling ceo who shoots the newcomer a brief smile as a greeting when jeongguk takes longer to look between you and his boss before finally stepping in.
“morning,” you greet with a wave, hoping to brush off the elephant in the room.
the man echoes back your words but nothing else - at least until you reach the 19th floor where jimin turns to you, hands in his pocket, “miss ___ i need to discuss something with you in my office,” just before you’re about to point out the sunken eyes in the younger man’s appearance.
“yes, mr. park,” you say in a heartbeat, before mouthing a ‘catch you later’ to the brunette.
x
in the next few days, you’ve opt for a variety of scarves to match your outfit. but more importantly, to hide the darkening bruises around your neck as you style your hair to hide what the scarves can’t.
it’s times like these that you keep your distance from people, choosing to stay in front of the computer unless jimin calls for you. whether to ask for if you’re up for having lunch with him, to inquire about the meeting he has or simply to just say “i miss your chamomile tea.”
at that, you can’t help but let the giggle break through your iron wall of a facade, “that’s what you called me for?”
the man’s eyes flit to the right for the briefest second, as though in search for a better answer which he finds none of before meeting your own, “yep, that’s what i called you for.”
“you’re so cute, daddy,” you gush, before placing you ipad down on the desk, hands coming up to frame around jimin’s cheeks as they turn round from the smile that slips onto his face, “i’ll make some for you tonight!” but then your shoulder line falls, eyebrows coming together, “wait - i have dinner with jeongguk tonight.”
“you mean jeon?” he raises an amused eyebrow to which you nod, hands falling away from his cheeks.
“i’ve been avoiding him these past few days and i think he’s getting a little suspicious about us spending so much time together - he thinks you’re... forcing me to do things,” you sigh - just this morning, the black haired cutie caught you in the middle of your way to your desk, pulling you to the side with a set of concerned eyebrows knitted together, “are you okay?”
you took a moment, eyes roaming around the vicinity as though it’d help spot the reason to this abrupt intervention before looking back at him, smiling cluelessly “...yeah, i’m fine.”
he let go of your arm to push his soft tresses which seemed to be missing its usual slick gelled look today, “the ladies have been saying park tends to work you to the bones every few times a month - like right now, and that’s a normal thing here?”
and because it wasn’t the kind of question you got asked often - people just accepted and were even glad that it wasn’t them that jimin was calling to his office every hour throughout the day, you had to take a moment to ponder on your answer “...yeah, it’s normal.”
“and you don’t care?” jeongguk’s blinked, mortified.
“i mean, that’s my livelihood right there so...” and you shrugged.
“i don’t know, i don’t like him,” his shoulder line tensed as he turned his body towards the wall sized window, eyes casted towards the neighboring skyscrapers.
“why?” was all you said - you’d understand intimidating. strict. unapproachable to describe the words jimin is, but no one’s ever confessed to outright disliking the man. but then again, you are the closest person to jimin in the company, no employee would risk getting fired because they blurted out their dissatisfaction towards their ceo to his head secretary.
“there’s just something about him that rubs me the wrong way,” instead of shrugging like what 17-year old jeongguk would have done, this older version of him didn’t even stutter.
you suppose one’s confidence and sense of reasoning - even though there wasn’t any particular reason for him to dislike jimin-
“...something about a ceo calling his head secretary ‘miss’ while he casually address everyone else by their name but never really talk to anyone beyond business matters while nobody’s has a single bad thing to say about him,” when jeongguk’s obsidian eyes fell on you, it was as though the background faded and you found yourself trapped in a glass cage - unable to run away from the truth he seemed to possess, “especially the person he’s overworking the most.”
“well,” there’s this habit that you do - laughing in the face of crisis and this was damn well a crisis because, “if you feel that way then you feel that way.”
“is there something you want to tell me?” he pressed on, speaking under his breath, “if you need help, you can always come to me.”
and that was when the laughter broke into a fit and you’re holding your stomach and his shoulder with your other hand, “jeongguk - i’m fine, really,” there was a tremble in his eyes as self doubt crept up his conscience, which meant whatever you were doing was working, “listen, how bout we go for dinner tonight with wendy and irene? i’m late but i wanna hear how your first staff dinner went.”
you managed to escape jeongguk right after his ‘...yeah, sure’ before mrs. yoo came up to you to ask about the arrangements of the seating for the upcoming corporate dinner. it’s in five months but preparations must be made in advance.
“if he’s starting to notice that means i’m not the only whose got his eyes on you,” the sweet honeyed voice pulls you out of your memories, almond shaped eyes staring at you with a sort of emotion you can’t pinpoint.
and for some reason, you felt the need to clarify where you stand and where jeongguk stands, “we were kids when we started dating - we know better now that both of us clash like two magnets on the opposite poles if we go beyond what friends are.”
“you know i have the utmost respect for you,” butterflies set flight in your stomach when jimin guides your right hand to his lips.
x
the place you end up going to is called han chu where it’s most famous for its variety of chicken-based cuisine which happens to be irene’s boyfriend’s family’s long standing business. it’d been packed with people, mostly those who’d got off work like yourselves but apparently, they have a different room for adhoc visitors who popped up out of nowhere.
“irene’s taking a long time at the washroom,” wendy announces, a small, jealous pout on her lips as she sticks her chopsticks into the rice bowl before you and jeongguk exchange a knowing look with each other.
since her boyfriend works here, you’re pretty sure that everyone in the room knows irene, in fact, did not go to the washroom. and wendy isn’t too secretive about her want for a man she can call her own to which, two bottles of soju later, she slams her glass against the table and confesses, “i’m so lonely, i want a boyfriend!”
by then, irene’s already back and chiding the younger woman about how she needs to stop drinking so much because apparently, at jeongguk’s congratutional dinner, she was that coworker that drank herself silly and might or might have not blurted out something about jeongguk’s exceptional proportions in front of the entire IT department.
“___! you’re single, right?” the way jeongguk’s hand seems to be take longer to pick up one of those spicy-sweet chicken even though he was gobbling them up like there was no tomorrow just five seconds ago, doesn’t go unnoticed by you, “let’s go to a mixer! i’ll text my friend to include our names for one this weekend.”
this time, the way jeongguk’s visibly tensed shoulder line is no coincidence.
“i’m good, thanks,” you chuckle, patting the woman’s shoulder.
irene on the other hand, looks increasingly worried about her fellow coworker as time passes. it’s when wendy starts to gulp down the soju straight from the bottle that you step in, swiping it out of her hands and placing it back down on the table.
“alright, that’s enough for tonight, let’s get you home” at that, you shoot irene a signal with your eyes, counting a short ‘1,2,3′ before you both hoist her up to her feet, directing her arm over your shoulder while irene does the same with the other one.
“i’ll get the car - you ladies wait at the front of the restaurant ” jeongguk announces, just as you step out of the room.
“thanks, guk,” you fix him an appreciative smile, grateful for not having to drag the half-conscious woman’s body all the way to the parking lot.
“you know, he’s been staring at you the whole night,” a voice giggles - and seeing how wendy can barely even open her eyes, that could only mean that it’s the only other woman that’s holding her up that also decided to let out such absurd statement.
“that’s cause i was sitting next to wendy - who by the way, isn’t exactly a quiet drinker,” you roll your eyes, before a separately realization hits you- “you didn’t drink.”
“well, i can’t really at the moment,” the brunette’s voice takes a gentler turn as you watch her free hand clasp her stomach.
“oh my god,” jaws on the ground, you’re not sure if you’re even blinking, “you’re pregnant? how long far along are you?”
“a month, me and jae were discussing how we’re gonna tell our families,” she meets your wide eyed gaze half-heartedly, “and if i’m going to continue working after i give birth.”
“either way i’m so happy for you,” you reach out your free hand that’s not wrapped around wendy’s waist to which the elder woman accepts, squeezing your hand just hard enough for you to feel her fears and excitement and overflowing joy flow through you, “you and jaebum are gonna be the best parents.”
“i never really said it but you helped me a lot when i just started,” the tears in her eyes makes them look like sparkling stars in the midnight sky, “and you’ve always been so supportive - seriously, ___, thank you.”
“stop,” you squeak in between holding your breath and holding back your tears, “i’m gonna cry.”
“if you cry, i’ll cry,” irene is already pulling her hand away and fanning her face, glimmering eyes turned to the sky.
it’s a moment later that a car rolls to a stop in front of the two of you. the window rolling down, revealing an extremely concerned jeongguk, “what happened?”
the “it’s a girl thing” comes a few moments later, particularly after you slipped into the passenger’s seat next to him while irene sits at the back with wendy’s head in her lap.
by the time you reach wendy’s apartment building, irene announces that she’s staying over at the first. if only to look after the drunken woman and make sure she’s okay.
“are you sure?” you ask to which she nods, murmuring something about how wendy couldn’t survive without her hungover soup if she didn’t stay and make it.
wendy manages to sober up and walk with irene holding her hand. and with the way she’s slow-waving at you, you take it as your cue to leave too.
“call me if you need anything, okay?” is the last thing you say before the two of them step through the clear glass door.
the rest of the ride is filled with silence, save for the faint sound of low volumed music in the background.
that is, until one of you decides to break it with a kind of heartwarming concern you thought already left his mind, “so are you okay?” he peeks at you from the corner of his eyes, as if to check if the tears were still there, “you were crying just now.”
you can’t help but laugh, “don’t worry - they were tears of joy.”
“oh?” only then does he allow the smile to tuck on the corner of his lips, “what about?”
“i don’t know if i can say it,” you feel your own lips curling, “not my story to tell.”
“okay,” he nods, “as long as you’re okay.”
and so the silence returns but this time, it’s no where suffocating or makes you want to hop out of a moving car just to get away from the man you thought you could never stand to be alone with five months ago.
at first, you told yourself that it was for the good of the company - that you didn’t need to be friends, civility was enough. but then you had that talk in the storage room - both equally tensed but both grown out of their youthful impatience into someone who was willing to listen and learn.
and you realized that you work well together - too well, in fact, that jeongguk’s own secretary would come to you even after four months of working with him, just to ask you if he’d prefer his coffees black or with cream.
but you suppose it was because this was her first job after graduating - you were used to taking notes of the littlest of things jeongguk did because that was what worked best for jimin. that, minus the already known facts about jeon jeongguk that you’d gathered during your two years of knowing him and three months of dating him.
and it’s almost as though the plants and the stars align, as the car comes to a stop in front of your apartment building and as he pulls the brake before turning his upper half towards you, “i had a great time tonight.”
“me too, guk, and thanks for driving irene, wendy and me home - you’ve become quite the gentleman,” you chuckle to which the corners of his lips upturns, while his eyes casts itself down to his hands before they meet yours again.
“it was the right thing to do,” but then you can’t escape his eyes - those obsidian eyes that seem to reach through the windows of your soul effortlessly.
“well,” the smile may have been forced but it’s still comes from the heart, “i better go in.”
“yeah - yeah you should,” he nods and you thought you’re just imagining things - irene’s initial observation might or might not have gotten to you.
but just as you’re about to open the door, hand on the handle, jeongguk speaks again, “i was hoping,” at that, you turn to him, “you and me,” you can only hope he can’t hear the sound of your pumping heart, “we could try again, you know?”
you’d like to believe that you’ve gone past that part of your life where you hurt and you hurt others back - the ones that tried to help you, pull you out of that darkened cocoon that you grew so accustomed to.
like to believe that it took a bit more nudging for you to break through the cocoon and that was okay - everyone needed a little bit of help at some point of their life. yours happened to be when you were sixteen hitting seventeen. and even now, you still need help to fly - to let your wings flutter through the wind without breaking and hitting the hard cold ground.
but all of a sudden, you find yourself that same cocoon you thought you abandoned with the ugliest dark brown and maroon walls - the color of the school mascot that seemed to be the symbol of the baseball team’s undefeated victory throughout the year. and all because taehyung’s brother, jeongguk just joined the team.
and you were just one of the many girls who had her eyes on the ace. except your best friend was dating the captain so you sometimes joined her as she watched him practice. until jeongguk noticed you. until he lift you up and broke you down.
“jeongguk,” you say, heart erratically clawing against your chest - obsidian is the color of jeongguk’s eyes as he waited for your answer with bated breath, a rap song is playing in the background, smooth is the material of the handle of the door under your fingertips, marc jacobs is the perfume that faintly wafts from jeongguk’s collar and sweet is the taste of peach soju you had, “i think it’s best to maintain a professional working relationship instead.”
almost as though being pulled from a trance, jeongguk recoils, eyes blinking once before he blurts out a “yeah,” then, a moment later, “yeah, that’s probably the best - sorry for-”
“it’s fine,” you shrug.
“-making everything awkward.” he finally stops.
“i’ll see you on monday,” you say - not so sure if it’s the right thing to say, but jeongguk nods, echoing your words, “yeah - see you monday.”
and with that, you slip out of the car, heels clicking against the ground as you tread towards the door without looking back.
x
monday turns to tuesday and then tuesday turns to an abundant of weeks. your interactions ceased to a strictly professional, work-based relationship. jeongguk talks to you only when he needs clarifying where his own secretary can’t give him an answer.
you go to him when his secretary is doing a job that requires her to go mia for the day. wendy and irene are well aware of the sudden shift in your dynamics but if you’d gladly told them jeongguk was your ex-boyfriend then you gladly told them what you told jeongguk that night.
your only regret was taking away their own friendship with jeongguk. none of them went out for dinner with him because they were torn between their loyalty to their colleague-turned-friend and the boss whom they were halfway to befriending if not for your complicating the whole thing up.
“but you decided to keep your peace instead of the peace around you and i’m proud of you for choosing yourself first,” jimin had told you as he traced patterns on the dip of your back.
and you might or might not have cried and fell asleep in his arms that night before cancelling your appointment with your therapist with the next day and choosing to have it at the end of the month like you were supposed to. ever since then, your relationship hadn’t been all that physical.
“i think i need time for myself,” you’d told him in the middle of getting stuck in traffic with unmoving cars on either side of you, “but i also still want to see you.”
jimin who’d been staring out of the window mindlessly had turned to you - instead of asking you to repeat what you’d said because he barely caught it, he’d fixed you the warmest of smiles, “it’s been over a year, ___, didn’t it ever occur to you that i wanted more than just sex from this? from us?”
if there was something park jimin was, it was arcane. mysterious - just as you thought you figured out his wants and needs, he makes a 180 and surprised you in ways you never would have seen coming.
“doesn’t it bother you that i’m... this?” there was no word for it - for being yourself but also feeling like someone entirely different all at once.
“no, it doesn’t,” he’d look straight at you as he said it, “i know you probably don’t feel like it right now, but let’s go on a walk by the han river.”
and that was where you talked about your feelings and what you could and couldn’t give while you nibble on the fish shaped bun that was wafting with heavenly scent throughout your walk until you found the stall.
jimin still wanted to pay you for the times you’ll be spending together even though there won’t be sex invloved.
“we still have another few months of the contract, if i don’t pay you then i’d be breaching it,” he’d argued with crescent shaped eyes and the most beautiful smile.
“alright but i’m paying for dinner and lunches from now on,” and there was no changing your mind.
so it goes, you work in the day and leave with jimin for the night. he’d steal away your mac and you’d steal away his but for the most parts, you’d do work in the same room. he’d stop and stepped out only to bring you a cup of hot chocolate and marshmallows and you’d pay back with chamomile tea.
then came the annual dinner which marked five months since that night. he’s decked in a stylish cut black tux with a blue sheen reflected under the light. paired with a glass flute of white wine, he’d probably already won at least three hearts only an hour into the commencement of the dinner while your teeth clamor at the low temperature of the hall.
you’re halfway ready to curse yourself for foregoing your crop blazer in jimin’s car all because you remember been too warm in it - but that was last year and the air conditioning needed fixing - when something warm engulfs your open shoulders.
“jimin,” you blink, recalling the last man talking to a board member just a moment ago before you’d stepped out.
“you should’ve told me you were cold,” he chides and only then do you notice the lack of blazer on his vest-hugged body.
stealing a glance into light poured room, you briefly stand on your tip toes, hands wrapped around the man’s arm as you pull him down to meet your halfway.
“thank you, daddy,” with that, you step away, feeling the rush of heat on your cheeks and the thrill of adrenaline in your veins.
“you’re welcome, dove,” and as soon as he goes back inside, he’s swarmed with other guests who must have wondered where the star of the night went.
and you would have turned to the cityscape if not for the glint of light trapped in glass.
“jeongguk,” your voice is strained, so you clear your throat and put on a smile to cover it up, “how long have you been there?”
a scoff follows your inquiry, “you’re not 16 and a guy giving you his jacket doesn’t mean jack shit, ___.”
at the uncalled for response, you subconsciously tug on the center front of the blazer, “first off, it’s armani, not polyester,” you say, not missing the way his eyes twitching at the comparison - he used to lend you his jackets and sweaters back when you were dating, “and whatever i do with my personal life is none of your business - i don’t have to explain myself to you.”
another scoff hits the air as he steps out of the shadow and into the sliver of light that pours from the hall and onto the veranda, “so all that talk about maintaining a professional relationship were just excuses? because you couldn’t get over the past?”
“the p -” you almost choke on your words, “the past when you cheated on me with my best friend all because i said taehyung was in the right for getting mad at you over you ruining his only chance to get into one of the best theater school in the world?”
“it’s cause of you!” the fact that his voice rose doesn’t go unnoticed even to him as he looks around and only after making sure that nobody was listening, does he continue is a hushed but harsh tone, “i slept with heather because you pushed me to her. if i wanted someone to point out the many list of things i did ‘wrong’ i could’ve just went to my parents.”
you sigh, “that’s the problem, guk-”
“don’t call me that, you don’t get to call me that,” he shoot backs.
“jeongguk,” you rephrase, fingers fiddling with each other until you’ve hit the ten-second mark, “what we had was toxic. we needed so much work on our self-esteem and personal traumas but we turned to each other hoping the other could fix it and all we did was make it worse.”
“please, you were the one who was so insecure about heather - you think i don’t realize how you look at her? how you compare yourself to her when all she did was be your friend?” it takes everything in you not to flinch at his choice of words, “what personal trauma,” he laughs dryly.
“that’s what i’ve been working on but i’m not the only one flawed -your parents,” you say, choosing to ignore the first part of his retort, “them constantly paying more attention to your brother just because he was older and achieved a little bit more than you did. and everyone else who compared you to taehyung’s ‘legacy’. so you turn to the only girl who noticed you,” there’s a flash in his eyes, one that burns bright with anger - just like it did all those years ago.
but you pretend not to notice, “and i was so caught up with the idea of a boyfriend of my own - a guy that didn’t choose heather over me that i did everything i could to keep you. i was toxic to you because i agreed with everything you said, i put down others while i lifted you up but as soon as i tried to fix what i’d done,” you heave out a sigh, “one push - that’s all it takes for you to fall right out my arms and if that wasn’t enough i hurt you by sleeping with taehyung.”
the last thing you see is the boy the with maroon and brown jacket, staring right at you with eyes prickling with tears and face flushed pink but no words come out from his clamped mouth.
so you turn you back on him like you did five years ago. you turned your back on jeongguk and you don’t look back.
you find jimin somewhere amidst the crowd, conversing with a guest from your rival company.
“mr. park,” his eyes focus on your tight-lipped smile as soon as he sees it, you don’t even have to say another word when he excuses himself and you, not even sparing a glance at the guest before his hand finds itself on your waist, guiding you through the room and into the empty hallway since all the guests have arrived and jimin was supposed to deliver the opening speech before you took him away from it.
you barely remember the ride to his place and how he’d sat you down on his bed, kneeling right in front of you with eyes overflowing with concern.
smooth is jimin’s skin under your fingder pads when you touch his face. plump is his lips that you kiss and sweet is the taste of his mouth from the red wine you’d seen him down at the beginning of the event. the woody scent of bleu de chanel that you got him for his birthday last year is what fills your senses.
but they’re gone too soon.
“are you sure?” jimin’s eyes bore into yours, searching for something - something you can’t pinpoint.
“jimin, please, i-” and that’s all it takes for him to press his lips harder to yours, one hand groping your breast while the other pushes the weight of the jacket off your shoulders.
x
the room is silent.
save for the tapping sound of your fingers across the keyboard. that is, until another pair of hands capture them and brings them across your chest in a hug whilst you giggle at the ticklish sensation of deep violet strands brushing against your cheek, “let’s have dinner together tonight.”
at that, your mouth clamps shut, body recoiling to the side to meet a pair of almond eyes, “don’t you have dinner with chairman of samsung tonight?”
from the way jimin’s lips purse together into a pout, it seems like you hit the nail right on its head, “you quit being my secretary - you should let me lie to you and say i’m free so we can have some ‘us’ time.”
“nope,” you shake your head, breaking free from the man’s grasp before looking at him pointedly, “you’re not going to skip a meal with one of the most influential person in the world.”
“how’s the website going?” he attempts to change the topic, eyes focusing on the sequence of letters and numbers on the screen of your mac as if he understood what the codes say.
yet you humor him, “it’s going okay, though i can’t seem to figure out how to configure the servers.”
it’s been six months since you’ve quit the job. three since you permanently moved in with jimin and one since you’ve got the paperworks done to open up your own joined business with irene. she decided to follow your footsteps to quit even though wendy was basically clinging onto her legs when she came over to pick up her belongings with a growing belly and a sort of radiance on her face.
naturally, the position for co-secretary was opened and applications were flooding in, so much so wendy had to beg you to meet with her somewhere just to review them together.
“i don’t know how to read people,” she lamented, “i do the technical stuff and you do the mind games - by the way,” something flashed in her eyes as her voice lowered into a whisper, “how did you to it?”
she meant, the explosive and tea-worthy news of how you and jimin came to be.
nobody knew about you and him until much much later. when you were free to go out to dinners and social events together with your hand on his arm and him strutting in with a never-before-seen smile. more jaws dropped that afternoon than the money raised for the event.
jeongguk is still the director of the IT department - you left to keep your peace but you’d also hope to keep his. because that’s the thing about past loves and open wounds. they hurt and they bleed with just the right words as knives but it’s how you choose to treat them that heals you.
and though your way of healing is by tearing a piece of yourself over and over again until you grow a new, steeler part that doesn’t mean you loathe the parts you’ve chosen to cut off.
as such, you don’t hate jeongguk - you still want him to live life to his fullest potential. you still want him to thrive like a wilting flower after a rainstorm.
you just didn’t want to - can’t be part of that life.
“my father used to say, ‘if you find yourself in a dry spell of ideas’, take a break,” jimin’s voice is laced with a sort of playfulness as his eyes disappear behind crescent moons, “particularly in mauritius.”
“you did not book a plane to one of the most beautiful islands in world,” you can feel your cheeks hurting from the growing smile that creeps up your face, “did you?”
“our flight scheduled to leave at 2 in the afternoon tomorrow,” he sweeps you up into his arms like you weight nothing at all.
“jimin!” a yelp escapes your lips in between him twirling around and the background moving too fast whilst your arms find their way to his shoulder, “you know i can’t hide a whole ass romantic getaway from my mother! what am i going to tell her when her unemployed, supposedly single daughter starts missing our daily calls because i was too busy vacaying?”
“a month,” jimin adds, head bopping against yours - you’re not quite sure when he stopped twirling, “we’re staying there for a whole month.”
“oh my god,” at first, excitement flashes across your face, then worry follows a second later, “what about your schedule? it’s gonna get pushed back - the phone calls wendy’ll have to make!”
“lisa’s in charge of the phone calls,” he means the new addition to his line of secretaries.
“doesn’t make it okay to give her all the work!” you say, not quite as passionate about someone you’ve never met as he gently lowers you, arms still banded around your waist whilst your foreheads touch.
“after we come back, i’ll make arrangements so your parents could come here - so i could meet them,” he steals a kiss from your half-open mouth.
“you’re kidding, you’re gonna meet my parents?” you echo, halfway into believing that you’re hearing things if not for the way his recently dyed hair bounces as he nods.
“i need their blessings first, don’t i?” he says, chuckling.
“after banging their daughter into the bed every single night, you’re gonna need a whole lot of those,” you pat his hair, in a ‘good luck’ kind of manner - your father isn’t the most welcoming and your mother won’t be as pleased to hear the out-of-the-ordinary ways you fell in love.
a bout of chuckles later, he’s swiping you up in his arms again as he carries you towards the familiar hallway where your shared bedroom lies while you wrap your arms around his shoulders.
“but daddy, it’s still morning,” you giggle.
“didn’t stop you from begging for my dick yesterday, did it?” the corner of his lips curve into a smirk.

note. story time (a short post where i talk about the background of the fic eg. why i decided to write it, the overall message of the fic etc.) is already up (queued along w the fic)!
i’m aware that armani is a brand and polyester is a clothing material so it technically can’t be compared together but in a deeper sense, armani’s material is more comfortable than polyester so it works (pls make it work) ahahahahahaha

Hello!! Could i request in some Penelope Garcia x Male!Reader where the reader would be Derek's little brother and absolutely head over heels in love with Penny, but hiding it from Derek because he is afraid what Derek might think?
Hey, sorry this took a little while, I hope you like it!!
Word count: 1500ish
Warnings: None that I can think of?
Being Derek Morgan’s younger brother definitely had it’s perks, for instance, none of the high school bullies would even look your way with a brother like Derek. You were three years younger than him, but his reputation had you covered through the entirety of your highschool career. Well, it was a mix of your brother and your sister's reputation if you were being honest. Although Derek likes to believe its all his doing. It's always quite amusing when Sarah calls him out on his 'bullshit' as she always puts it.
You had taken two weeks off from a corporate job you hated to stay in Virginia and see your brother. You figured he was always going to California to visit, you figured it was about time you went to him. The two of you were close growing up and that hadn’t faded too much as adults, you’d like to think. So you’d booked the time off work, booked a hotel, and decided not to tell him. You knew he’d probably have a case anyway but it would be a nice surprise while it lasted.
You had dumped your luggage in your hotel room first before heading over to your brother’s place of work. The hotel room was nice enough, a double bed with a bedside table either side. The bed itself was nice, it had a white bed cover with a deep purple throw at the bottom. A desk on the far wall with a view out of the window. It had a dark wooden floor, an oak wardrobe. All in all, not too bad.
After scoping out the room you heading back into your car, turning on the radio before beginning to make your way to the FBI Headquarters. “Siri, call Penelope Garica,”
"Hello, oracle of all knowledge, how may I assist thee?"
"Well, I was wondering if Derek was on a case?"
"My chocolate thunder?" Penelope's voice sounded through your phone. "Nope, he's in the office doing some paperwork,"
"Good, I'm on my way to you now," You reply. You'd messaged Penelope a few weeks ago informing her that you were going to be staying there for a few weeks.
“Hey, Stud Muffin,” Penelope greeted as you walked out of the elevator. You give her a grin.
“Hey, Penelope,” You chime, “Have you seen Derek anywhere? He doesn’t know I’m here, I thought I’d give him a nice surprise,”
“Well, my handsome, your brother is currently out on a coffee run,” Penelope said, “You should stick around, he should be back in a few anyway. You can come and sit with me in my office if you want!”
You gave a nod, hoping she couldn’t tell how nervous you felt. You see, you’ve had a crush on The Penelope Garcia for the last God knows how long. You had desperately tried to hide it from the moment you started developing feelings. Trying to squish them down, you were pretty sure she didn’t feel the same way about you and even if she did - she was Derek’s coworker and close friend. It was one of the unspoken rules: don’t date your siblings' friends. And you weren't about to break that rule. Not without your brother's permission anyway. And you doubted that you actually had the balls to do that anytime soon.
"Do you know how long he'll be?" You asked as you followed her to her batcave. "Not- Not that I don't want to sit with you,"
Garcia gave you a smile as she continued walking, "Don't worry, I know you love me, Hot Stuff," She said with a smile, "He left about five minutes ago but Spencer ordered a fancy double espresso and Derek always get confused about my order, so about another ten minutes?"
You nodded. Ten minutes you could last ten minutes without crumbling and confessing your undying love. Jesus, undying love? 'When did I become that sappy?' You asked yourself mentally rolling your eyes.
"Baby girl," Derek announced, around ten minutes later, walking into her batcave with her coffee.
"Thank you my chocolate thunder!" Penelope cheered and turned round. You couldn't help but smile at her happiness. As you turned around with her.
"Surprise,"
"(Y/N)!" Derek grinned, pulling you into an embrace, "What are you doing here?"
"I can go if you want," You offered cheekily.
With a roll of his eyes, Derek continued, "Why didn't you tell me you were gonna be here?"
"For the surprise, duh, it isn't a surprise if you know about it," You sassed.
"How long are you staying for?"
"About two weeks,"
"Come on, let's go tell the rest of the team you're here," Derek said. Penelope grinned, grabbing your hand to lead you there. God you hoped your hands were clammy. You also hoped that Derek (or anyone else) wouldn't pick up up on your little crush for Miss Garcia.
"Look who it is!" Emily grinned seeing Penelope pull you into the bullpen, you gave them all a small wave. "How have you been?"
"Alright I suppose, being Derek's brother is always tiring,"
"I can imagine," Emily laughed.
"Tiring enough working with him," JJ joined in.
"Alright, alright," Derek chuckled, before turning to you, "I have to go to a meeting, but we will talk as soon as I get out okay? We'll think up some plans, alright?"
You gave a short nod, sitting yourself down at Derek’s desk whilst he walked off to attend his meeting. You were tempted to rearrange everything - knowing it would annoy him when he got back. Deciding to go for it, you swapped the pen at his desk with one from the bottom drawer, you turned the first page of the file he was working on upside down. And then, just for good measure, you unscrewed the light bulb of his desk lamp and hid it in his bottom drawer.
“You up to mischief?” Rossi asked, you looked up seeing the familiar Italian man and beamed.
“Not if you’re going to tell Derek,” You grinned.
“Of course not,” Rossi said, placing his hands in the air. “Just wanted to let you know he’s very particular about the way his monitor is tilted,” Your grin widened, and messed around with the screen for a second before leaning back, proud of your work. They seemed like simple things, but they would annoy your brother when he realised.
"Hey (Y/N)," Spencer acknowledged as he walked into the bullpen, "When did you get here?"
Derek walked out of the meeting around twenty minutes later, “Come on, let’s go somewhere to work out what we could do for your stay,” Derek said, leading you to the round table room.
"About twenty minutes ago?" You said. "I think,"
Eventually, you both had sorted out a rough schedule, drinks tonight, binge watching die hard tomorrow, Rossi’s family cooking lesson that Tuesday, then drinks again on Wednesday, depending on Derek’s case workload. And you could sort out the rest after Wednesday.
“Alright, well, I shall leave you to your work,” You said with a tight grin, making your way to the door.
“Pump the brakes,” Derek said as you tried to walk past him, you sigh and stop, turning to him.
“Yes?”
“What’s going on with you?”
“Me?” You asked, pointing to yourself, “Nothing’s going on with me,”
“I don’t need to be a profiler to know you’re lying, (Y/N),”
You let out a groan as you sat down in one of the chair, “Okay, fine,” You huff, “I’ll tell you, but no questions or comments until the end,”
“Okay,” Derek said, rolling his eyes slightly.
“Don’t - Don’t laugh or anything, I would never do anything because she’s your friend and I’m not that sort of brother,” You rambled before forcing yourself to take a deep breath. "I'm pretty sure I'm in love with Penelope,"
Derek's eyebrows shoot up, he battles to fight off the smirk that begins to grow, followed by the chuckle. "That's what's got you so nervous?" When you nod he continued, "I don't care if you date The Miss Penelope Garcia. In fact I encourage it. All I have had to hear from her is how cute she thinks you are. For the love of all things holy please, just ask the woman out,"
"You're not mad?"
"Why would I be mad?"
"She's your friend," You state.
"And?" Derek asked.
"And I didn't want you- I was… Nervous… about what you'd think,"
"Honestly?" Derek asked, when you nodded, he continued. "I think you're great together. If you got together I'd be happy for you. If you hurt her, I'd definitely smack you. If she hurts you, I'd maybe give her the cold shoulder for the day,"
"So we're good?" You asked, Derek rolled his eyes with a fond smile, patting your shoulder.
"We'll always be good," He said, "Now, go ask her out."
(She said yes)

Do Me A Favour (Steve Rogers x Reader)
Pairing: Steve Rogers x Reader
Summary: Steve Rogers seeks out his ex-teammate (and ex-fiancée) as he tries to gather the team in order to reverse Thanos’s actions, but she isn’t happy to see him. (Part 2, Part 3)
Rating: T
Word Count: 3.2k
Warnings: Swearing, that’s about it
Tumblr media
Steve hadn't seen her in almost four years.
Y/N had left him and the rest of the team a year after the Snap. She didn't say goodbye to any of them, just gathered all of her things and disappeared into the night. Steve didn't realize she had left until he had came back to their shared apartment and saw that all of her things were gone. During those four years, she didn't reach out to him and if she was reaching out to anyone else on the team, they weren't telling him. It was like his teammate had disappeared off the face of the earth. He couldn't be too mad at her. Steve was the reason why she left.
Months after the Snap, he had proposed to her. She had been so excited and her happiness had rubbed off of him slightly. It seemed right, it felt right. Everyone kept telling them that it was about time they finally tied the knot. Yet, as time progressed and the severity of a post-Thanos world settled in, Steve wondered if this was actually a good idea. He didn't want to voice his worries to Y/N though. He missed seeing her this happy so Steve tried to tell himself that this nervousness would soon disappear.
Then the day of the wedding rolled around and Steve couldn't bring himself to drive to the church. His phone kept ringing as various members of the team called and texted him, trying to get a hold of him. As the start of wedding neared, Steve went down to the hall where he holds grief counseling and stayed there until the day ended. When he got back to the apartment, all of her things were gone. The only thing Y/N had left behind was her engagement ring and the wedding dress she had been wearing hours earlier.
Steve pulled up in front of the address that Natasha had given him, nervousness and guilt eating away at him. He was already confused when he pulled into the residential neighborhood, but the house he was currently parked in front of didn't help. Steve double checked and triple checked to make sure that the address was correct before he got out. He walked up the little stepping stones that lead to the cookie cutter house. She had told him that she never ever wanted to live in the suburbs, living in a house that was identical to the ones surrounded them. It was the perfect place for her to hide out.
Never in a thousand years did he think that Y/N would be living in a place like this. As he looked around, eyes landing on the carefully manicured lawn and the flowers planted in flower beds surrounding the house, he felt a sinking feeling in his gut. The thought of Y/N being married or even having children made him feel ill. Steve knew that he shouldn't feel like that at all. Y/N wasn't his, never truly ever was his. He was the one that had fucked up everything so he really shouldn't feel like this over the possibly of her being married. Steve looked up at the little cream colored two story house as he walked up the porch steps. There was a swing-like bench on one end, surrounded by various potted plants. It was all very...homey.
Steve tries his best to relax as he stands in front of the door. He swallows hard before ringing the doorbell and knocking on the the red door. Would Y/N still be pissed off at him? Most likely. She wasn't the type to forgive and forget, especially with what he did. Would she be even more pissed when she finds out he's here to try to get her to come back, to try to defeat Thanos? He was probably going back to the Compound in a body bag.
The front door opening ripped him out of his thoughts.
"What are you doing here?" Y/N asks, only peeking her head of the door. From what he could see of her, she looked good. Y/N always looked good, but the past four years have been good to her. In that last year after the snap, she lost her color. Sure, there would be times where she was happy, but as the wedding date neared and Steve continued to be distant, those moments of happiness were few and far between. Now, she looks happy, healthy. Well, she wasn't happy right now. Steve shifts slightly, looking around in her little neighborhood before looking at back at her. Y/N was glaring at him.
"Can I come in, Y/N? We need to talk." Steve tries and just as she opens her mouth, a child's head squeezes her way through the door and Y/N herself. Y/N's eyes widen and the color seems to drain from her face. Steve feels like he's been shot at the introduction of a child. What if she's moved on, had a family during this time? He would have no one to blame but himself.
"Mama, who's this?" The child asks, practically glaring at Steve. Like mother, like daughter. He didn't know that she had a kid. Natasha didn't tell him that there was a kid involved when she handed him the address, a sad look on the ex-Russian spy's face. Steve knew that she had wanted to go retrieve her friend, but someone had to get Clint. Now, he knew why she was so reluctant to hand over the address. Y/N never even mentioned that she'd ever want kids. She would always brush off the question when Steve would ask, immediately changing the subject. But then again, four years is a long time and people can change. The rest of their team surely did. Y/N muttered a curse under her breath, weighing her options in her mind. Steve is surprised when she opens the door a little more.
"Sarah, this is my coworker, Steve. Steve, this is my daughter Sarah." Y/N introduces them to each other, her hand moving to rest on the back of Sarah's head. The way she says "coworker" made Steve feel like shit, but then again, he does deserve it. He tries his best to ignore it and moves to squat in front of Sarah, smiling at the little girl. Her hair is pulled into two pigtails and she's wearing a black dress covered in white dinosaurs. Sarah is practically a carbon copy of Y/N, down to her hair and features. The only thing that's different about Sarah is her eyes. She has bright blue eyes that seem vaguely familiar, but Steve can't quite place them.
"Hi Sarah. It's nice to meet you." Steve tries, holding out his hand. The little girl moves to hide behind her mother, holding onto Y/N's leg. Steve's smile fades and he puts his hand down, moving to stand back up. Y/N doesn't even bother to look at him as she guides her daughter back into the house.
Steve is greeted by the evidence of her changed life. Children's toys litter the grey colored wood floors and pictures of mother and daughter cover the walls. Not a single picture of his teammate from anytime before the four years she's been gone, but there was pictures of members of the team and her. A picture of Natasha, Y/N, and Sarah here. A picture of Tony, Morgan, Y/N, and Sarah there. No evidence of any sort of father figure. The smell of pancakes and coffee hang in the air. This is a home.
Time travel and Thanos are a million miles from his mind now. All he could think about is that Y/N, the woman he was supposed to marry, has a child.
"No talking business around her. Please." Y/N announces as she walks further into the house, Sarah following hot on her heels. The blonde wonders if someone had tipped her off that someone from the team was coming or maybe she just knew him too well and knew that he wasn't here for personal reasons. Either way, Steve feels the immense tension hanging in between them and gives mother and daughter both a little space as he takes in the house. It looked almost normal.
"Of course." Steve replies as he follows them into the kitchen. Sarah is already sitting at the island, looking at him as her mother sets a plate down in front of her. Steve stands beside the fridge, leaning slightly on the wall. He doesn't know exactly what to do, everything feels awkward. Y/N has a kid. Y/N has a kid.
"Sarah, it isn't polite to stare. Now eat your breakfast." Y/N scolds softly, no anger present in her voice as she speaks to the child. Sarah turns her attention to her mom as she picks up her fork.
"I sorry, Mama. 'teve eat?" The little girl asks and Y/N glances at Steve, who is smiling at how the little girl pronounced his name. His smile melts away as soon as he meets Y/N's eyes Anger is still deeply etched into her face, no matter how much she tries to mask it.
"I'm okay, Sarah. Thank you for asking though." Steve quickly fills in and Sarah nods, seemingly pleased with his answer. Y/N crosses the room, moving past her old teammate to go over to the living room. She turns on the tv, switching the channel from the news to some cartoon. A distraction.
"Baby, Steve and I are going to my office, okay?  If you need anything, come get me." Y/N tells her daughter. Sarah just nods in response, her focusing going to the mess of bright colors and shapes on the television. Y/N motions her head for Steve to follow her as she walks out of the room and down the hall. She opens a door, flipping on a light. This is room is a sharp contrast to the rest of the home. It's cold and uninviting. Big, flat white cabinets line the walls, filled with God knows what. Steve wants to smile at her 'home office' because it's like she brought her weapons room from the Compound home with her.
But the look she is giving him keeps the smile off his face. Y/N's about to open her mouth, to question him no doubt, but Steve cannot help what flies out of his mouth. He just has to ask.
"Why didn't you tell me you had a kid, Y/N?" The Captain questions, his eyes softening as he looks at his ex-fiancée. Y/N leans against the table in the center of the room, crossing her arms over her chest. She no longer trying to mask her anger.
"You weren't in my life, Rogers. Why would I tell you that I had a child if we aren't speaking?" Y/N retorts, shrugging her shoulders like it wasn't a big deal. They both know that this is a huge, colossal deal. There's stomach acid in Steve's throat and he feels like he's going to throw up as he forces out his next question. He is dying to know, but he dreads the answer.
"Who-"
"Don't ask me that." Her voice is ice cold as she shakes her head, "Please, don't ask me that."
That's when it slowly starts to dawn on Steve. He swallows the bile down in his throat as he takes a step towards her. Her angry facade is cracking as tears brim her eyelids. Her carefully built world is crumbling down around her and there isn't a thing she could do about it.
"Y/N, how old is she? Just-Just tell me how old she is." Steve's practically begging as Y/N looks away. She's fiddling with the necklace she has on, moving the pendant side to side on the rose colored chain. It feels like an eternity before she decides to speak again.
"Three. Sarah-She's three." Y/N finally speaks, looking back at him. It's like Steve's heart shatters in his chest and he has to lean against the wall for support. Steve Rogers isn't as smart as the others on his team and math has never been his thing, but it doesn't take him long to do the math in his head.
"Were-Were you ever going to tell me?" Steve asks as Y/N chuckles drily. The smile that's on her face doesn't reach her eyes.
"Of course I was and then you left me at the altar. Forgive me for not wanting anything to do with after that." Her tone was full of bitterness as she looks at him, "I was going to tell you that day-God, I was so fucking excited and then you just didn't show up. That's when I realized your priorities were greatly skewed and that you didn't really care about me anymore."
"That-That's not true, Y/N." Steve starts and the woman scoffs.
"Really, Rogers? You weren't even fucking talking to me anymore. You only came to me when you wanted to relieve a little stress. Why you asked me to marry you is besides me." She snaps, her words full of poison, "I wasn't about to bring a kid into the mix."
"So what? You were just going to hide away here forever? Never tell me that I had a kid?" Steve responds, motioning to the door. He's clearly angry at the woman in front of him. Y/N chuckles.
"You know what hurt the most about you leaving me at the altar? You didn't even call. There was no "Hey babe, I realized I don't want to be bound to you by law, hope you understand!". Three fucking hours passed before I finally realized that you weren't coming. By then, Natasha had already hunted you down and saw that you were at one of your meetings, acting like you had nothing else to do that day." Y/N tells him as she runs a hand through her hair, "But sure, go ahead and be mad at me because I didn't tell you I was pregnant. Be mad because I left because you apparently did nothing wrong."
"Look I'm sorry-" A knock on the quickly cut him off. Y/N sent a glare his way before walking past him and opening the door. Steve watched as she squatted so she was at eye level with her-their daughter. Steve looked at Sarah, trying to memorize her face just in case this is the last time he sees her. Blue eyes that resemble his glance at him for a moment before they return to look at Y/N.
"Mama? Help?" Sarah asks, her outstretched hands covered in something sticky. The smile that Y/N gave the little girl made something rise in Steve's chest. Neither of them glance at Steve as Y/N leads her back towards the kitchen, leaving the Star Spangled Man With a Plan alone in the room. He did not know what to do with all of this information. Steve had a child, a daughter. A little girl who was fifty percent him and fifty percent Y/N. He knew he had fucked up, but didn't realize he had fucked up this bad. Steve was numb as he walked out of the pristine room, walking down a hall full of pictures of Y/N and their daughter. He leans against the wall as he watches the two of them.
"How did you get this sticky, baby? I gave you a fork." Y/N teases softly, lifting up Sarah so she can wash her hands in the sink. The little girl giggles and Steve thinks it's the best sound in the whole world.
"I sorry, Mama. 'ticky." Sarah responds, which makes Y/N laugh. Steve can't help but smile at the sight in front of him. His head quickly becomes filled with thoughts of "what if". It's not until he feels something tug on his hand, yanking him out of the various scenarios running through his head. Sarah's tiny hand is wrapped around two of his fingers. His heart swells in his chest and he suddenly understands why Tony was willing to give up everything for Pepper and Morgan. He wishes he had made the same decision.
"Go to park?" Sarah questions, looking up at him with those big blue eyes. Steve is at a loss for words and he looks up at Y/N for some sort of help. Y/N is still drying her hands off as she clears her throat.
"Sarah, I don't think Steve wants to go to the park with us. He has to go back to work." The woman tries, walking towards the two of them. Sarah looks disappointed, pouting and making a noise. Y/N glances at Steve, once more weighing the options in her mind.
"I-I have enough time. I'd love to go to the park with you-If your mom is okay with it." Steve responds and the little girl turns to look at her mom. Y/N's features soften and she nods.
-
"Tony called before you arrived. Said you're trying to create time travel." Y/N announces as they sit beside each other at the little park that was in her neighborhood. Sarah is running around, laughing loudly. Steve glances at the woman beside him. She knew why he had showed up on her porch but still had let him in. Y/N had every right to not let him in, to not even answer the door. Hell, she didn't have to tell him that Sarah was his, but she did.
"Yeah. Lang is pretty sure we can do it. We just need to get the team back together." Steve replies, to which Y/N just nods. Her eyes stay on Sarah, never letting the little girl out of her sight. Steve turns his head to look at his daughter, who is currently sliding down a slide as he continues, "But I understand if you don't want to. Things have...changed."
"If we have a chance to fix things, I want to be there." Y/N responds, fiddling with the necklace she was wearing. Worry was written all over her face and Steve regrets even coming out here try to get her to join them. Her eyes stay on Sarah as she runs around, "If something happens to me, you have to tell her dressed in the suit."
"W-Why?" He is confused at her request, but he wasn't going to tell her no. Steve doesn't even try to tell her that everything is going to be okay if she joins them. They both know the risks involved with their job and he'd be lying if he told her that this was going to be an easy mission. For the first time since they got to the park-Hell for the first time in four years, she turns to him and smiles.
"Because Sarah knows that her daddy is Captain America and she's been dying to meet him."

Nerves (Request)
This was my first request, and it was fun to write! Anon wanted a reader around Sam’s age whose nerves Dean mistakes for fear until he confronts her about them. Thanks for reading, and of course I would love any advice or critiques!! If you have a request, drop it in my inbox and I’ll definitely write it if I feel like I can do it justice. Just a little bit of weekend fluff.
Title: Nerves
Pairing: Dean X Reader
Word Count: 2715
Summary: When helping Sam’s college friend, the reader, Dean can’t figure out why she’s so scared of him.
Tumblr media

“Dude, Dean, I’m serious. Don’t be a fucking creep to her,” Sam said, shutting the door to the Impala and following his brother into a greasy spoon called Little Bavaria with white scalloped curtains.
“Dude, Dean, I’m serious,” Dean mimicked in a nasal sing-song. “And when am I ever a creep?”
Sam glared at Dean in exasperation. “Please? Just please? Can I have one friend you don’t hit on?”
“Fine! Drop it!” Dean snapped, yanking open the door and pulling his face immediately into a saccharine smile for the rosy-cheeked grandma-type standing behind a cash register that could not have been made after 1983.
“Thank you,” Sam said, obviously relieved. He scanned the room before seeing her sitting in a back booth.
Tumblr media
You waved excitedly to Sam as he walked toward you, looking like a sun-kissed and confident man rather than the floppy haired boy you remembered.
As the brothers made their way over to you, a waitress dropped off plasticized menus and glasses of water. Sam waited for you to stand up before wrapping you in a bear hug. He smelled clean and familiar in a way that made you feel slightly lighter immediately.
“I like the new hair, it looks good on you,” he said, charming as ever.
You reflexively touched your head. “Oh! Right, I forgot that was after college. You look great!”
Sam’s smile was easy and wide as he turned to Dean. “This is my brother Dean.”
Dean raised a few fingers in a weak wave, decidedly not giving you anything Sam could construe as bedroom eyes or a flirtatious smirk. “Nice to meet you. Sorry it isn’t under better circumstances.”
“Yeah, well,” you trailed off.
“Should we sit?” Sam asked, graciously offering you an out.
After the requisite coffees and Dutch babies were ordered, Sam looked across the table angelically. “I’m really sorry this is happening,” he said, his voice smooth and soothing.  It was all Dean could do not to roll his eyes, one arm slung across the booth behind Sam as he slouched back. He tried for the appearance of nonplussed neutrality. “If it’s okay with you, I think you should stick around us until we figure this out. I don’t want to leave you alone in that house,” Sam urged.
You kept the relief off your face better than you’d expected you would. You were trying to play it cool in front of Sam and his hopelessly cute older brother, but you were scared enough of going back your new house that you just repeated what they ordered, unable to focus even on the menu. As you had been doing for the last day and a half since you called, you thanked God for the small instinct to call Sam. Sam, who you hadn’t seen in a few years but was the least judgmental person you’d known in school. Somehow you knew even if he thought you were crazy he would come anyway. Now he was here, bigger and looser than you’d remembered, not making fun of or pitying the girl who thought her house was haunted, and you felt like you could take a deep breath for the first time in weeks. In a weaker moment you might’ve cried, and for that reason it was better that Sam had brought his brother. It might not have been so embarrassing to break down with an old friend, but you couldn’t ugly-cry in front of the Rebel Without A Cause at the table, all pillowy lips and long eyelashes. Distractedly you tried to remember if Dean looked this good in the two or three pictures Sam had scotch-taped to his dorm wall but couldn’t call them up. You channeled all the chill-girl energy you could muster and shrugged. “If you think that’s better, I can.”
“I do, yeah. It’s just that we don’t know what’s going on yet,” Sam offered. “If you need to get some stuff from your place, we can come with you. Right, Dean?”
“Sure,” Dean said, his tone clipped and his lips pressed tight. “Whatever Sammy wants.”
You heard a thump under the table and Dean smiled slightly more reassuringly.
Over breakfast Sam had about a hundred questions about everything you’d been up to lately. He seemed genuinely interested as you told him about the new job you’d moved here for, wanting to know more about the goofy drama between your coworkers and odd clients as though it was fascinating. You’d forgotten how much you desperately missed him until you saw the crinkles at the corners of his eyes and heard his laugh twinkle out over the coffee steam and powdered sugar. All the while, Dean seemed to be boring into you with those green eyes, sometimes adding a meaningless trite comment or chuckle but not genuinely engaging. You tried only partly successfully to ignore him, focusing on Sam and your food and how nice it was to feel safe.
3 cups of weak coffee after you’d finished eating, knowing you’d be jittery but not caring from the giddiness of the reunion, Dean took out his wallet and threw about double what you’d guessed the tab might be down in cash. “Should we go get your stuff?” he asked.
“Uh, yeah, sure,” you answered, taking one last sip before getting up from the table. A look you couldn’t decipher passed between Sam and Dean so quickly that you would’ve missed it if you hadn’t been staring right at them. You followed the boys out of the restaurant, feeling a very odd and fleeting moment of jealousy when Dean thanked and winked at the older woman behind the cash register, giving her a slow languid smile like warm honey. He was so pretty. As quickly as the thought had come over you, it was replaced with disgust at yourself. At a time like this, when your whole world was in chaos, you were worried about some hot guy—who clearly wasn’t into you from the way he was acting—instead of your own safety. You were still cursing yourself mentally when you slid into the back of the gigantic black car they’d arrived in.
Tumblr media
Sam’s friend was cute. Like, really cute. Beautiful, even, and Dean was beyond annoyed that this was the one time he promised Sam he wouldn’t hit on one of his friends. Not that it seemed to matter, because she only had eyes for Sam. It was like she melted when she saw him, staring only straight at his kid brother all through the time they stayed at the breakfast spot. If Dean was being honest with himself, he was more than a little hurt, not used to being looked at with anything less than adoration by the women he wanted. What added even more salt to the wound than the way she seemed so infatuated with Sam was the way that she looked when she saw Dean. Dean peddled in monsters and the looks of attractive women, and he knew fear when he saw it. He’d spent the rest of breakfast with Sam’s comment about him being a creep running through his mind on a loop, careful not to lean too close into her or say anything less than strictly G-rated. Unfortunately, that limited him more severely than he realized it would.
When she got into the back of the Impala, she sat straight up like she was in a cotillion class, not comfortable enough even to sit normally in his car. Was Sam right? Was he a creep? Dean suddenly felt weird and predatory, like maybe the blood and guts of hunting was changing him in some irreparable way that people could sense. He tried to smile agreeably the way Sam did up at her in the rearview mirror and saw a shark reflected back at him. Looking quickly away, Dean put both hands on the wheel the way he thought someone non-threatening would.
It didn’t help that Sam thought something was off, which meant Dean wasn’t pulling off his act and maybe couldn’t even pretend like he wasn’t the kind of person who makes a beautiful girl’s eyes go wide in fear. Each time Sam had side-eyed or kicked him under the table, the point was re-emphasized. Dean was desperate to relax but worried he’d freak this poor girl out somehow, so he kept himself tightly wound as he took directions to her house.
Tumblr media
By the time they’d finally figured out the problem—not, as you thought, that your house was haunted but that a coworker was in fact a witch trying to torment you—the three of you had gotten into a semi-comfortable rhythm. You were crashing on the couch in their motel room, carrying your toiletries into and out of the bathroom every morning like you were at sleepaway camp and trying to keep your clothes as wrinkle-free as possible while living out of a suitcase. Some parts of it were so nice; you were still just as grateful for the protection you felt as you had been in that café, and you had forgotten how comforting it was just to know there was someone else around. Other parts, however, were not. You hadn’t slept on a couch, let alone a scratchy-creaky motel one, for so many days since college, and you were remembering why. On top of that, Dean was so compelling that it felt like you expended half of your energy each day just trying to keep yourself from staring at him.
And naturally, the more you got to know him the harder it got. He was not only the pretty boy that was obvious from the first time you met, but also so kind and respectful, seeming to be very aware of the potential discomfort of immediately sleeping in the same room as a strange man and giving you a wide berth for as much privacy as possible. He even picked up coffee in the mornings before you and Sam got up, that first day getting a black coffee, a nonfat latte, and ‘whatever the coffee guy said was most popular’ because he didn’t know what you’d like. If anything, it felt almost as though he was being a bit too gentle, and you wondered if Sam had told Dean you were some kind of fragile and delicate bird that startled easily. When you’d asked Sam about it after a couple days, he just shrugged and said he hadn’t really told Dean much other than some stories from college. You decided to drop it. Maybe Dean was just like this, which made it all the harder not to develop the kind of crippling, blushing, oh-my-god-is-he-going-to-sit-next-to-me crush you hadn’t felt since middle school.
When the coworker had been ‘taken care of’—a careful answer from Dean that you chose not to pursue—you were left feeling unmoored. It wasn’t like you could go back to the now-destroyed house, or even imagine how you’d explain away the chaos of the last couple weeks to the few people you knew here. Sam seemed to pick up on it intuitively, and offered for you to come along with him and his brother until you figured out what you were going to do next. Like it had when he had driven across the country and tossed you the last life raft over the formica table at Little Bavaria, it felt like Sam was saving you. He seemed excited when you said you would, and was out grabbing sandwiches for the road while you and Dean packed up the motel room when Dean asked if he could borrow you for a minute.
You were so embarrassed at the small, cartoonish voice that agreed, sitting on the side of the bed while Dean draped himself effortlessly—God, how could he look so cool even just sitting down—over the arm of the sofa.
“I, uh, if you’re going to come on the road with us I think we should talk,” he started. Your pulse started thumping in your chest and you hoped you weren’t blushing as you raised your eyebrows, signaling for him to continue. Dean cleared his throat and fiddled with his ring before continuing. “Listen, I don’t know how much Sam told you before we met, or whatever, but I swear I’m really not that bad.”
You’d been focusing so hard on not looking desperately infatuated that you weren’t able to keep the surprise off your face. “Bad? Of course not, you’ve been amazing. You and Sam saved my life. I’m so grateful,” you sputtered.
“Right,” Dean said, looking slightly confused. “Then I’m sorry if I did something maybe, because I don’t want you to think I’m some, like, animal—”
You cut him off. “Dean, you’ve been unbelievably sweet, way above and beyond what you needed to do. I’ve felt so safe the entire time I’ve been with you guys, and now you’re letting me stay with you for even longer; I don’t know how I can repay you, seriously.”
Dean looked up at you, his confusion tinged around the edges of his eyes with something wounded. “Then why are you so scared of me? You jump whenever I come in the room, you only look at Sam, you don’t even slouch when I’m around. I know I can’t do Sam’s puppy dog eyes act, but come on, I wouldn’t let anything happen to you. You act like you’re waiting for me to sock you.”
You opened your mouth and closed it again, realizing you didn’t know what to say. It was hard enough to think with Dean’s eyelashes sweeping over his cheekbones like the most delicious metronome you’d ever seen, let alone process what he was saying. “I—Dean, I’m not scared of you,” you finally squeaked. His face didn’t change with the spark of recognition that would’ve allowed you to stop there with a soggy handful of dignity left, and you took a deep breath to steel yourself to continue. “God, this is so embarrassing,” you murmured under your breath. “Okay,” you started, hoping your voice sounded resolute and firm. “I mean, it’s just that you’re so cute, and cool, and self-assured, and I was worried I was going to do something weird or whatever, and now I guess I have anyway. I’m truly sorry if I made you uncomfortable, or especially feel like I wasn’t anything other than thankful for you and everything you’ve done. I’ll try to act like less of a total freak, I promise.”
You winced, waiting for the inevitable pity from this gorgeous man who must hear these proclamations from every woman he meets. Instead, Dean chuckled, which was maybe even worse. Pity you were ready for, could swallow and heal your ego from in private, but open ridicule was too much.
“Okay, well, that was fun. Sorry,” you said, smacking the tops of your legs and getting up from the bed. Dean grabbed one of your wrists as he pinched the bridge of his nose, rubbing his eyes.
“No, wait, sit down,” he said, smiling.
You obeyed, feeling a little lump of embarrassed tears forming in your throat but not seeing a way to extricate yourself from the room gracefully. Dean’s callused thumb swiped affectionately across the back of your hand.
“That is way better than what I thought,” he insisted.  “Sam made a big deal about how I shouldn’t act like a creep to you, and it got in my head. I thought I was coming off as a total perv or something.”
His eyes locked you in like quicksand before you could answer, not pitying or withering at all as you’d thought, just soft and tender and the impossible green of a perfect matcha. “No, I’m the perv here,” you offered, attempting to make light of your shyness.
“Don’t make promises you can’t keep, sweetheart,” Dean purred. Heat swelled up into your cheeks, and Dean brought your hand to his lips, pressing a warm kiss to the back of your hand as he gazed up at you.
As you were desperately scrolling through the Rolodex in your mind for something witty to say, Sam opened the door to the motel room. You were equally and fiercely relieved and stymied as his hulking frame filled the doorway, grabbing the duffel he’d left on the tile. “You guys ready?” he asked, his smile bright and carefree.
Dean dropped your wrist and winked at you as he got up from the couch unhurriedly. “More than ready, Sammy. Let’s hit the road.”

Model au + photographer!Hongjoong
Mingi x Reader x Yunho
Warning: Exhibitionism, anal fingering, double penetration, orgasm denial but reader comes, spanking one time
The day at work was not favoring you well in the slightest.
Already you had unwittingly succeeded in getting into a cat fight with a fellow model and your skin was also a mess after a breakout of acne littered your face and created chaos for the makeup artists who fussed over your appearance.
You were extra anxious today and wished that you could relax, trying to find comfort that the steroid that was used to control the inflammation of your acne that your dermatologist tried to console you but the best they could do was prescribe the steroid for you.
"Focus, focus on the camera, Y/N!" Hongjoong barked out, knowing that he could get a better face from you as he remained behind the camera lens, snapping away.
You were struggling to zone into autopilot, which was where you functioned the best for both photoshoots and fashion shows.
Part of the reason why you were more distracted then usual was this particular shoot required you to be partly exposed for the fashion spread of the upcoming issue of the magazine that you modeled for most of the time, though what made it awkward was that you were paired with two fully dressed male models that made you feel smaller than you really were and the attractiveness of the pair was enough to unnerve you, let alone the humiliation of being exposed and posing with them was enough for fire to rush directly to your face and awaken every cell of your body.
"Are you okay, Y/N?" The male model that you had came to know as Mingi spoke near your ear, his low voice prompting you to involuntarily shudder beneath the other male model known as Yunho's fingertips where his large hands held your waist.
"I'm- I'm fine... Just camera nerves..." You bit down hard on your lower lip, hating how you trembled at the effects of the male's that surrounded you.
"You've got this sweetheart. We all do..." Yunho encouraged as he tried to convince himself that everything would be alright as everyone moved their forms in front of the camera.
You wanted to sob in frustration, feeling a sense of arousal in your system and you chided yourself for feeling such a strong, intoxicating sensation around your coworkers.
"Hongjoong, it's time to go lunch!" The fashion coordinator who was named Yeosang called out to the photographer.
"I'm not leaving until I'm finished with my subjects." Hongjoong muttered sternly at the fashion coordinator.
"You'll leave if I bring Seonghwa to get your ass taken care of! Your fatigue is showing and to put it mildly you look like shit because it's apparent that you're not sleeping." Yeosang folded his arms across his chest and you watched the scene unfold before you with your coworkers.
"Don't bring my boyfriend into this!" Hongjoong scowled, "And this is what happens during fashion week.
Pack fashion shows to photograph into your schedule and the ad campaigns for the following season and that equals little sleep but I'm not complaining about it." Hongjoong shrugged, returning his attention to you, Yunho and Mingi.
"But it still doesn't give you the right to burn yourself out. I'm calling Seonghwa so he can get you to at least eat something." Yeosang threatened, visibly worrying for his friend.
"Alright fine! Fuck it! I'll go for lunch and come back to my project." Hongjoong growled irritation while the fashion coordinator smirked in response to the photographer leaving quickly.
Yeosang followed after him and other personnel left, leaving you and the two male models alone.
"Should we go?" Mingi voiced his question to Yunho as he took notice in your extremely flustered appearance.
"We don't have to! I brought my own lunch! I would love to share it if you two are interested!" Yunho replied cheerfully.
You groaned quietly at your own state of undress, promptly plodding to the bed that was being used as a prop for the photoshoot.
"I'm good..." You replied, bringing the sheets to your chest and lying down on your stomach.
"I'm willing to share!" Yunho pouted, whacking your ass playfully with his hand. A far more erotic sound then you intended to release drifted from your lips and immediately you froze in place, regretting your vocalization immediately.
"Uhm..." Your eyes were wide with fright as you looked up at Yunho who looked equally as alarmed as you did.
"Shit... That sounded so hot." Mingi quirked an eyebrow at you as he carefully drew closer to you, supporting himself by leaning against a bedpost and proceeding to gaze down at you from where he stood.
"I'm- I'm..." You stuttered out, feeling embarrassed by your vocalized actions as lust involuntarily clouded your vision. Mingi immediately recognized the look in your eyes, leading him to move closer to you as he gauged your reaction.
"'m pathetic..." You mumbled under your breath, clinging to the sheets as you desperately tried to reel yourself in from losing yourself to the feelings that ran rampant in your body, fighting an inner war with yourself regarding weather you wanted him to get closer to you or for him to stay as far away from you as possible when he was eyeing you so dangerously.
"You've done well to resist this long. It's up to you baby if you want to continue resisting or taste what you're wanting to experience." Mingi touched your back with a firm touch, sending shivers down your spine as you moaned out loud without attempting to restrain it this time.
"She's so needy for us. I wonder how she got this way!" Yunho cooed while touching the other side of your back.
"She was squirming at the way that your crotch would occasionally brush against her backside and her body was so hot..." Mingi's hand languidly moved along the warmth of your skin, sensing the smoothness of your flesh beneath his fingertips.
"Hngh...~ p-please...~?" You whined, drawing a blank as to what you were begging for. Arousal freely seeped from between your legs and the intense craving to be filled was overwhelming your sensibility to preserve your dignity.
"I'm not going to do anything unless you tell me what it is that you want." Mingi smirked as he stopped his hand at the small of your back, feeling goosebumps form beneath his hand.
"W-want to be f-filled up..." You moaned out reluctantly, turning onto your back to seductively gaze up at the two males that stood above you.
"Filled up by whom?" Mingi was enjoying dragging it out, even with the risk of the staff returning to the photo studio was adding to the excitement of the moment. You looked at Yunho then at Mingi, "Both."
~~~~~~~
"Come here, doll." Mingi beckoned to you from where he lied down on the bed, his pants down to his ankles as his feet rested flat on the floor.
You had stripped off your jeans and was now fully naked and you felt little inhibition in the present moment as you sauntered over to Mingi and straddled him.
Heat flooded your body when you sensed Yunho moving up behind you, "You're beautiful as you are in every way imaginable." Yunho murmurs softly and reached between your legs to pet your pussy, gathering your slick on his fingers and moving on to massage your perineum and then your anal entrance with slow circles that gradually gained confidence with each desperate mewl that you uttered while on top of Mingi.
"Just like that, babygirl." Mingi growled as he cupped the back of your head with his hand and pulled you in for an aggressive kiss, easily blurring your consciousness as his tongue invaded your parted lips with a needy ferocity that left you weak in the knees as he brought you down on his hard cock with his free hand.
You whimpered vulnerably from the firm intrusion of his cock pushing inside of your dripping pussy, feeling pleased from how well he stretched you with his girth.
Yunho was groaning from the feeling of your entrance greedily sucking his fingers deeper inside of your ass.
"So good and tight. I wonder if anyone has ever done this to you before?" Yunho asked curiously, withdrawing his fingers from your stretched entrance and shortly afterwards replacing his fingers with his cock.
"A-ah~" You whimpered, being unable to speak because of the pleasurable sensation of Yunho stretching your ass with his length.
"Shit I can feel you, Yun! So tight for us, princess." Mingi groaned as he sucked amarking at your sensitive pulse point.
"I can feel you too, it's amazing! Her ass is perfect, taking my cock so well." Yunho slammed his hips into your body, following the same rhythm as Mingi had set which was a rough impatient one.
Sweet, sexual wails left your lips as you closed your eyes from the overwhelming bliss of your body being filled by cock and used for pleasure.
Your eyes slid shut as you felt your orgasm approaching after several moments of being stimulated beyond your wildest expectations and Mingi's cock was twitching erratically with each thrust that was growing sloppier and sloppier beneath your body.
His moans mixed with your high pitched cries and Yunho's erratic breaths as he gripped your hips and chased his climax.
"C-can I cum pl-please~?" You begged, uncertain as to who was responsible for giving you the go ahead as you helplessly took the pounding that both of their cocks were giving you.
"No, let's get back to work. You three can play later~" Hongjoong's amused tone froze the male models in their tracks and you felt your orgasm rip through you at that moment, the humiliation of being caught pushed you over the edge and both Mingi and Yunho were astounded just as much as the photographer was.
"F-fuck..." You whimpered as you shakily removed yourself from the males.
"You may rest a moment to calm yourself, Y/N. Then we're back to work." Hongjoong nonchalantly remarks as he converses with another staff member who seemed to be shaken by walking in on the three of you.
"Can we continue this later?" Mingi asks near your ear as he held you to comfort you after your unexpected climax.
"S-sure..." You smiled at him weakly and giggled when Yunho nuzzled into you.
"I'm glad! I wasn't ready to say goodbye!"
Welcome to my dorm pt. 3
Tumblr media
Pairing: Spencer Reid x fem!Reader
Description: After eight months of dating, you finally go visit Spencer and are inconveniently introduced to the team.
Warnings: Implied sex
Word Count: 2.8k
Part 1 -- Part 2 -- Part 4
You bounce your leg impatiently as the crowded metro finally pulls up to your station. You pick up your duffel bag and push your way to the sliding doors. You frown when you feel someone else’s sweat drip on your arm and wonder if it is always this crowded or if it’s just because it’s Friday. It takes you a second to find who you’re looking for in the sea of people but when you spot him, he’s the only person you can focus on. You jog up to him and drop your bag at your feet before throwing your arms around his neck.
Spencer’s joyous laugh fills your ears and you smile, happy to finally be in his arms again. It has been two months since you have last seen him, two months of absolute torture. Keeping a long distance relationship is stressful, even more so with his chaotic work schedule. Every time he calls you when he has a case, you spend the whole time worried sick, praying that the next call you receive is from him and not from a hospital.
This is an important weekend though, this is the first time that you make the trip to D.C. in your eight months of dating since it’s always him that goes to visit you. And it is finally time for Spencer to make good on the promise he made when you first met of giving you a personal tour.
He picks your bag off the floor and leads you out of the station. You grip his hand tightly in yours and make conversation as you walk all the way to his apartment catching up on what you couldn’t over phone calls.
His apartment is everything you expected it to be. The living room is lined with dozens mismatched bookshelves that are most likely thrifted or bought at garage sales, his coffee table is empty except for the two piles of FBI files stacked on the edge and there is a small television in the corner with Doctor Who DVDs next to it. His kitchen is neat and looks mostly unused except for the old coffee machine sitting of the counter. He guides you over to his bedroom and you stop at the doorway to study it. There’s an old wardrobe against the wall that he obviously thrifted, the walls are a pale grey color, contrasting the dark green of the living room. The king sized bed is in the center of the room against the back wall. The bedsheets are a navy blue and there is an abundance of pillows on top.
His bedside drawers hold pictures of who you assume are his coworkers at different events. You smile at the picture of a younger looking Spencer, his mother next to him with a book in her hands. The one that catcher your attention however is the three picture frame holding pictures that make the butterflies in your stomach flutter. The one on the right is of you smiling brightly at the camera, a half-drunk iced coffee in your hand. The one in the middle is of you and Spencer sitting next to each other in a bench, you’re laughing at something he said and he is looking at you, a lovesick smile on his face. The last one has both of you sitting on the same bench, but you are now kissing his cheek and Spencer is grinning at the stranger holding the camera.
You remember that day perfectly. It was the third time Spencer went to visit and you spent all day at a park frequented by students. You can’t help but smile at the memory and don’t even realize you are walking toward the frame until you are holding it in your hands. Spencer saying your name inevitably breaking you from your trance.
“That’s my favorite day with you. You were so worried about the midterm you had just taken when I arrived so I made it my goal to cheer you up. It didn’t take long after I bought you coffee.” You turn to look back at him. He had set your bag by the door of his closet and looked like he stared at you for a while before breaking the silence.
“I took you to the park because it was the only place I hadn’t showed you. When the photographer came up to us you reached for your gun before you realized that it wasn’t there. You did not let him anywhere near me until he showed you his id.” You giggled at the memory and set the frame down. “I never got the pictures, I just thought he never sent them.”
“He sent them to me and I guess I just forgot to tell you,” he shrugged.
“You forgot?” Your gaze was doubtful and his playful hum in reply caused you to roll your eyes.
He crosses the room and pulls you into a long awaited kiss. “I missed you,” he mumbles against your lips.
“I missed you too,” you pause and pretend to be in deep thought for a while. “In fact let me show you how much.” You push him to the bed and he grips your hips as you straddle his legs.
“What happened to me showing you around D.C?” He questioned as you kiss his jaw and suck lightly at the spot.
“We have the whole weekend, right now I just want to be with you.” He grins at you pulls you back into a kiss.
. . .
You stand in the kitchen in shorts and Spencer’s purple button up, the strap of your brallette visible as the oversized shirt slips off your shoulder. Spencer’s bare chest is pressed against your back as you whisk the batter of the chocolate chip cookies you decided to make.
“You going to help me roll the dough into balls or what?” You ask, turning around in his arms.
“Or what,” he cheekily replies. You slap his chest and gesture him to help you. He reluctantly agrees and you press play on your laptop, your playlist playing loudly throughout the kitchen. You take double the time you normally would as you take breaks to dance around the room or throw flour at each other. You make it halfway through the dough when there is a knock at the door.
“I’ll get it, don’t burn the cookies!” You call to him, walking away and shaking the flour off your hair.
“How could I burn them?” He called back incredulously.
You laugh as you walk across the wooden floor, making a stop in front of the door. You open it, expecting it to be one of Spencer’s neighbors complaining about the loud music you’re playing. However, you are met by the surprised stares of vaguely familiar people.
“Oh sorry we must have gotten the wrong apartment,” a pretty woman with blonde hair speaks up. “Do you happen to know where Spencer Reid lives?”
The realization hit you like a truck. Your eyes widened as you call out, “uhh Spence?” You glance down at what you’re wearing and curse under your breath. How is it that I am always dressed inappropriately when I open the door, you think.
The people in front of you look confused and are even more surprised when a familiar voice speaks up from deeper in the apartment. “I didn’t burn the cookies! They’re not even in the oven yet!”
You allow yourself to smile before turning a head over your shoulder, “No baby it’s for you.” The pet name slips past your lips so effortlessly that you don’t even notice but the people who have yet to be invited in definitely do.
“Who is it darling-“ he freezes. My team is here, he thinks, my team is here and I am shirtless with my girlfriend none of them know about. You notice his discomfort, so you grab one of his cardigans hanging by the door and toss it at him. He catches it with ease and slips it over his shoulders. “What are-what are you doing here?” He gulps. Morgan is blatantly staring at you, trying to determine why you look so familiar to him. You shift uncomfortably and hide behind Spencer.
“It’s your turn to host game night,” piped up an eccentric curly haired blonde. “But we can come back another time.”
Spencer opens his mouth to tell them that that is a great idea but you interrupt him. “It’s okay.” Spencer looks down at you surprised because he really cannot think of a worst way to introduce you to his family. He really did not want the first time you met them for both of you to be half-naked.
“No really we don’t want to intrude,” an older looking man spoke.
“You’re not,” you assure him. “We weren’t going to do anything tonight anyway. I’m y/n.” You step out from behind Spencer and lean forward to shake the man’s hand.
“That’s right!” The dark skinned man on the left exclaims, startling everyone. “We interviewed you for a kidnapping about nine or ten months ago.”
“Umm yeah. Agent Morgan right?” You question, although you know perfectly well who he is.
“Derek’s fine,” he answers.
They all introduce themselves and Spencer ushers them in. You skip back to the kitchen and place the cookies in the already preheated oven.
“So how long have you been dating boy wonder?” You jump and turn around, the woman who you now identify as Penelope smiles at you.
“Oh about 8 months, Spence could probably tell you the exact time down to the hour though.” You shrug. You start wiping down the counter as she gathers drinks for everyone.
“You love him don’t you?” She questions.
“I really do,” you reply.
“Good.” She links both your arms and you walk out of the kitchen together. You sit down next to Spencer on the couch and conversation flows easily, considering you are the main topic of it. You only leave to take the cookies out of the oven once the fifteen minutes are up. As you place the freshly baked chocolate chip cookies on the table the dreaded question comes up and both you and Spencer freeze.
“How old are you?” Prentiss didn’t mean any harm by it, but they can all instantly tell that it made you uncomfortable.
“I’m twenty-one,” you say shyly. You don’t know how they’ll react. Spencer already turned thirty and you won’t be turning twenty-two until another month. The age gap doesn’t bother either of you--you had a long conversation about it when you first got together--but you know it can make other people uncomfortable. It seems that they do not know how to react either because they all sort of stop their movements. Spencer’s grip on your waist tightens and is ready to defend you when JJ speaks up.
“Cool. For a second I though you were going to say twenty and that you were drinking illegally in front of a bunch of federal agents.” You started laughing and the tension immediately leaves the room.
“I am very much a legal adult even though my frontal lobe is not fully developed,” you say. Spencer takes your comment and starts explaining the functions of the frontal lobe and you turn your eyes to him and listen intently to what he says, even though you already know all of it.
Morgan waits for him to finish and proceeds to takes out the UNO cards. You all place piles of m&ms in the center at the table as your means of exchange. Hotch teases you and asks if you even know what gambling is and you stick your tongue out at him, further proving his point of you being young. The game is extremely intense and there is absolutely no mercy. At some point you give Spencer a +4 and he looks at you like a betrayed puppy.
“I’m sorry baby but this is war,” you lean forward and kiss his cheek. About one hour in, Emily, Dave, and Hotch have all been on the verge of winning but end up having to take dozens of cards before they are able to. Now, both you and Morgan have two cards left and everyone starts conspiring, trying to find a way to prevent the two of you from winning. You look Morgan in the eye and place a card down. “Uno.”
“Ohh pretty girl it’s so on,” he smirks. Spencer goes, then Emily, Penelope and finally Morgan. At his turn, he places a blue 2 on top of Pen’s yellow 2 and she curses under her breath. “Uno.”
When it’s his turn, Hotch, who has the turn before you, places down a +4 with a triumphant smirk on his face. They all look relieved, especially Morgan, until they see the smile on your face.
“Oh guys,” you start. “You really think I didn’t prepare for that?” With that said you place your own +4 on top of Hotch’s and they all let out load groans. “Don’t try to beat the college student. We take UNO very seriously.” You pull all the m&ms to you and pop one in your mouth.
Rossi angrily throws the cards on the table. “How about we play something that she won’t know, how about poker?”
“Noooo,” you whine. “The only card game I know is speed. Let’s play monopoly!”
“God no,” Penelope exclaims. “We will all end up hating each other.”
“That’s the fun part,” you reply. They all look iffy at your suggestion so you decide to play your cards right and turn to your boyfriend with a pout adorning your lips. “Please?” One look at you and Spencer falls.
“Okay let’s do it. And it is me hosting sooo what I say goes.”
“Yeah yeah pretty boy just admit that you’re whipped.” Morgan chuckled.
Spencer blushed a deep shade of pink and everyone laughed. You kiss his cheek and lean against his side.
Monopoly is even more deadly than UNO, if that is even possible. Emily and Rossi yell at each other over property, JJ screams because she keeps landing in jail, and you keep sneakily stealing Hotch’s money when he isn’t looking. Spencer gives you a disapproving look every time but says nothing. Spencer wins (he brags about it at work for a week) and you all vow to never play monopoly again.
By the end of the night you understand why Spencer loves his team so much.
Morgan is an ass but in the best way possible. He instantly takes to you and you find yourself wondering where he comes up with all his nicknames. You glare at him most of the night though because he keeps messing up your hair.
JJ is basically Spencer’s sister and it is obvious how much she loves him. She was cautious at first, and slightly offended that Spencer never told her about you, but by the end she bid you goodnight with a kiss on the cheek and a promise to invite you to girls night the next time you visit.
Hotch, surprisingly, is the one you click most with. From what you heard from Spencer, he has a reputation of not being able to smile but you don’t agree because in the few hours you have been in his presence he has done nothing but send caring, fatherly smiles your way. He offers to help when you complain about struggling with a political science class you decided to take this year and gives you his card telling you to call him anytime.
Penelope is protective. She will die before she lets anyone in her family get hurt. And although she isn’t a profiler, you find her studying you all night, trying to see if you are good enough for her boy genius. (You are, she concludes)
Dave reminds you of your grandfather. He teases you about your inability to play cards and promises to teach you the next time you visit. He tells Spencer that he will not be welcomed into his home for family dinner unless he extends the invitation to you.
Emily is…well Emily. There is no way to describe her. She is a total badass and you find yourself identifying with her sense of humor. She whispers to you that if you ever break up with Spencer, she would like to inform you that she is single.
After closing the door behind his team, Spencer pulls you to bed and lays his head on your chest. You protest at first, claiming that you need to clean up the mess, but eventually succumb and hold him close.
“Thank you,” he whispers.
“For what?” You move your neck to be able to look at him. He has his eyes closed and hums as you run your hands through his hair.
“For being you. For being so perfectly yourself.” he shuffles up and presses a loving kiss to your lips. “I love you. You have no idea how much you mean to me.”
“I love you too,” you mumble against his lips. He lays against your chest again and you both drift off to sleep.
My dumbass had to Google it to double check who it is and boy howdy was I relieved to see it’s Training Trio! My absolute favorite! /gen 😌
Non-Despair AU where they’re all young adults settling into careers! I’ve had a HC for a while where Shuichi & Maki would be Private Investigators together while Kaito is some sort of aerospace engineer.
🌻🌻🌻
Maki and Shuichi were leaning over a table in their office, sorting through photos and files.
Since they’ve opened their own Private Investigators Service together, they’ve been able to keep themselves occupied with work.
Maki picked up a file from the table and asked “Shuichi, did you get the autopsy report?”
“The medical examiner hasn’t finished yet; why?”
“It looks like the stab wound isn’t that deep,” Maki squinted, bringing the photo closer to her face, “I don’t think that’s what killed him. At this angle, you’d need to really dig in to kill someone. There aren’t any vital organs around this area of the body, and it seems unlikely he died from blood loss. I think something else killed him that we can’t see.”
Shuichi looked up and smiled at her. “What would I do without you, Maki?”
“You wouldn’t be nearly as competent as you appear to be,” Maki’s facial expressions barely change, but Shuichi can detect the slightest movements from her and knows when she’s teasing.
He crossed over and wrapped his arms around her waist, “I couldn’t have asked for a better partner—“
They stopped what they were doing when they heard the humming of their garage door opening. “Speaking of partners,” Shuichi said, quickly kissing Maki’s cheek before heading back to where he was working
“Did he text you? I didn’t know he was coming home late,” Maki said
Shuichi took his phone out of his pocket, “Uh, no, I haven’t heard from Kaito since he left for work this morning.”
They got quiet and listened to the house. Their tumbler opened— the door was unlocked— and some plastic bags rustled as they hit the floor. There was an alarming THUD followed by a grunt, and Shuichi and Maki looked at each other in concern and horror.
They briskly left their office and headed downstairs together, afraid of what they might see.
“Kaito?” Maki called out
He swore under his breath, unaware his partners definitely heard him, and replied back, “I just lost my footing coming in; I’m alright!”
Once Shuichi and Maki reached the first floor, they turned the corner and saw Kaito on his hands and knees, grocery bags strewn about, struggling to pick himself back up. “Kaito, are you okay?” Shuichi got down on the floor to his level, trying to steady him
“Tell us what happened. Now.” Maki demanded, taking a hold under one of his arms
“I swear, I’m okay now; let me just get up— fuck—“ as Kaito quickly lifted his head with his eyes shut tight, he practically collapsed further onto the floor.
Shuichi and Maki shared another look. “Stay with him,” Shuichi took charge, “I’m going to get some water and something for him to eat.”
“Shuichi, please, I’m alright—“ Shuichi clearly wasn’t listening; he was already heading toward the kitchen
“No, you’re not. Stop lying to us,” Maki insisted, “You need to tell us how you got here.”
Kaito sighed before giving in and speaking up, “I was fine at work, so I went to run errands afterward, and I guess I started feeling shaky in the checkout line and on the drive home my breathing was shallow—“
“Did you take your meds today?” Maki asked
“I’m back,” Shuichi’s voice rang out from around the hall as he quickly approached with a glass of water and a bowl of dry cereal
Shuichi knelt down to Kaito to hand him the rations. “Thanks, baby,” Kaito muttered before taking a drink
“You didn’t answer me,” Maki said
“Hm?” Shuichi piped in, having missed the question
“I think he hasn’t taken his meds today.”
“Kaito?” Shuichi gently asked, making Kaito’s already frail body twinge with guilt, “Is that true?”
He sighed again, feeling shameful, “It’s uh... half the truth.”
“What does that mean?” Maki was not tolerating this.
“You’re going to be angry—“
“I’m already kind of angry, to be honest,” Maki’s face changed ever-so-slightly once again. She’s trying to keep things a bit more lighthearted, just so a screaming match doesn’t break out. They’ve never truly screamed at each other before, but Maki has had to learn to control her temper a bit.
“I haven’t been taking them for about a week now—“
“WHAT?!” Shuichi and Maki cried in unison
“I just felt like I haven’t needed them? I’ve been feeling stronger and I had to see if I could live without them—“
“You’ve been feeling stronger BECAUSE of the meds, Kaito!” Maki and Kaito were both shocked with Shuichi’s sudden outburst, “You know what happens when I don’t take my anti-depressants because I feel like I’m fine? I get depressed again! That’s how medication fucking works!”
“Shuichi, I—“ Kaito began, but Shuichi was up on his feet again, storming back to the kitchen, “Dammit.”
“He’s right, Kaito,” Maki said, rubbing a hand on his back, “He’s only angry because he cares. We both do. You need those prescriptions to function.”
“I know. It was stupid of me; I just... I hate that I’m like... broken. Like I need to ingest something in order to live and it’s held me back from my dreams and—“
Shuichi was back, holding three bottles of pills. “Hon, medication doesn’t make you any less of a person,” he sighed, sitting down on the floor in front of Kaito and opening the bottles, “Practically everyone takes something every day. I bet you could ask your coworkers and everyone would at least say they take a vitamin supplement or something.”
“You think I take birth control just because?” Maki chimed in, “No, it’s so I don’t miss out on work and life for three days every month because I’m in unbearable pain.”
Kaito slowly picked his head up, feeling less heavy after drinking some water, but still not doing amazing. “I get it,” he said with watery eyes
Shuichi scooted over and wrapped his arms around him, leaning his head into Kaito’s shoulder. “We love you, okay?”
“Yeah. I love you both, too.”
Maki held on to Kaito’s arm again and quickly kissed his shoulder, “We don’t want you dying on us just yet, got it?”
Kaito chuckled, “Ten four; got it.”
“Rest tonight, please?” Shuichi said, “And I think you should stay home tomorrow so your body can recover.”
“I have the day off anyway—“
“Perfect. We’ll take the day off, too,” Maki added
Shuichi reached for the pill bottles and took out the appropriate doses from each container, and offered the tablets to Kaito.
He shut his eyes and smiled, taking the medication from Shuichi’s hand.
[Previous Part] [Series Masterlist]
Tumblr media
Las Vegas, Nevada, 2004
(Spencer’s POV)
My first case out on the field was not a pleasant one. Well, it rarely is, that’s what happens when you work for the FBI to catch serial killers. For the first couple of weeks at the BAU, I helped them consult on cases, but they weren’t sure I was ready to go out on the field with them. After I got my weapon certification, Gideon told me he wanted me to come along on the next case because I was familiar with the area. There had been a series of child abductions near Vegas, my hometown. I would have been much more nervous about traveling had I not been able to see my mom while I was there. I hadn’t visited her in a while and the guilt was gnawing at me.
The first day was brutal. Hotch made some of us go back to the hotel late at night, but it was hard for us to sleep. JJ hated working cases about children, so she went to have a quick drink at the hotel bar, where she promptly forgot her purse and had to call me from her room to go get it for her. I had no hope of getting any rest that night, so I figured I’d take a walk down the hall and try to clear my head.
There was no sign of the purse at first glance, no small black clutch on the bar like JJ said. But there was a woman cleaning glasses behind the counter, maybe she knew where the purse was.
As I approached the bar, the woman’s features took a familiar shape and triggered a distant memory. Seeing her face again was like coming home after a long drive without a map, squinting through the dark and hoping the headlights would get brighter when finally, you’re pulling onto a road that you know by heart.
I didn’t need to look at her nametag, I already knew who she was, but judging by her polite smile borne solely out of the courtesy required to work in the service industry, she didn’t recognize me. In her defense, I had grown about a foot and a half since the last time she saw me. And I got a freaking haircut.
“Y-Y/N?”
She looked up from her rags and scrunched up her face in confusion.
“Okay, so you definitely know me, and I am so sorry about this, but I can’t quite place it. You look so familiar, though, I just… I meet a lot of people with this job, I’m so sorry, I forgot your name.”
I grinned, she still had that same habit of apologizing every five seconds, “I don’t really have that problem, eidetic memory and all.”
Her eyes widened, “Spencer? Spencer Reid!”
I laughed and nodded.
“You’re so tall now! What has it been, like, 10 years? Oh my goodness, come here.” She awkwardly leaned over the bar and hugged me. She still used the same shampoo.
“How ya been, kid?”
“I’m good! H-How are you?”
“Doing fine, thanks. What brings you back to good ol’ Sin City?”
“I’m here for work.”
“Oh, and what are you doing now?” She leaned on the counter and gazed up with curious eyes, “Helping the doctors at Area 51?”
Good to know she still had jokes, “No actually, I’m with the Behavioral Analysis Unit of the FBI.”
“Woah, you’re a fed now?”
“Yeah, we’re investigating a series of--”
“Kidnappings. Yeah. Scary shit. Can I get you a drink?”
“No, I’m good.”
“You close to catching the guy?”
“Unfortunately, no.”
“Any of the kids turn up?”
“Unfortunately, yes. We found one boy this morning. He… didn’t make it.”
Her face dropped to a look of worry I hadn’t seen since she took off my blindfold that day on the football field, “Name. I need a name,” her voice grew hoarse.
“I can’t really disclose that information.”
“Spencer, please. Every day my kid comes home from school and asks me if I was watching the news.”
I couldn’t deny the way my heart sank at the news, but I could sure as hell ignore it, “Y-You have kids?”
“One. Little Jamie. His best friend, Robbie, is missing.” Robbie Carter, age five, he’s been missing for the past two weeks. He’s likely dead, but we still haven’t found him.
“Every time someone misses school he gets scared they got taken too. Baby Boy doesn’t understand flu season yet.”
“How old is he?” I had to get her mind off of this. I don’t want to worry her.
“Five. Just started kindergarten. Wanna see a picture?” Seems like I succeeded.
“Sure.”
She whipped out her phone and pulled up a picture of Jamie on his first day of school, backpack far too big for his body. Y/N was posed next to him, the picture too small to show that she was crying ever so slightly.
“Adorable, right?”
I couldn’t stop the grin spreading across my face, “Cute kid. Looks just like you.”
She looked back at the photo and smiled softly, “Except the eyes. He’s got his dad’s eyes.”
I glanced down at her hand holding the phone and was greeted with a pleasant surprise, “I’m guessing Jamie’s dad isn’t in the picture?”
Offense flickered across her features for a second, her eyebrows twitching and lips pursing, “How’d you know?”
“No ring.”
“You do work for the FBI.”
“Would you mind telling me what happened?”
“You know, you’re supposed to be the one spilling your sorrows to the bartender, not the other way around.”
“You don’t have to tell me, just thought we could catch up, I haven’t seen you in ten years.”
She sighed, returning her phone to the front pocket in her apron, “Remember Kyle Brothers?”
“Oh, do I? Yeah, of course, I remember your high school boyfriend, Y/N. What tipped you off, the eidetic memory, or the fact he used to beat me up after gym class?” It was more like the intense rage and jealousy I had when they got back together after football season ended.
“God, see, I always knew he was an asshole, but it never seemed to faze me, I’m so sorry about that.”
“You did what you could. And you apologize too much.”
“Sor--”
She froze mid-word and made a face as she realized once again that she was about to apologize yet again. I stifled a chuckle, but she laughed and grabbed a rag from the counter to finish cleaning the glasses.
“So Kyle?”
“Yes, Kyle. We broke up again before college, I was going out of state and didn’t wanna do long distance, you know all that. I was in a really bad place during my senior year of college, so after graduation, I decided to move back home for a bit, spend some time with my mom--”
“How is she?”
“She’s great! Moved to D.C. with my dad a while back.”
“I should visit her, Quantico isn’t far.”
She returned a genuine smile, “She would love that.”
“Sorry I interrupted you, keep going.”
“You’re fine. Long story short, moving back home for a few months turned into having a one night stand with my ex. Which turned into us getting engaged nine months later while I’m exhausted and holding my son.”
“Well, that’s a fun birth story for Jamie.”
“Yeah, ‘Happy Birthday, sweetie, your father proposed to me while you were, like, an hour old and then cheated on me six months later.”
“Seriously?”
“Yep.” She popped the p, “Came home and heard two things: Jamie fussing in his sleep from the playpen and bedsprings squeaking in our room.”
“I’m guessing that you guys were done for good after that?”
“Nice detective work.”
“Technically, I’m a profiler, not a detective, as they typically work in local police departments and I work for the federal government, not a precinct--”
“Jesus, kid, you’re gonna put the poor lil lady to sleep,” I turned around and saw Morgan crossing the lobby to the bar, still in his work clothes.
“If I'm yawning it’s from my double shift, not his rambling. It’s been a while since I heard a good Spencer Reid knowledge dump.”
“You two know each other?” He leaned on the bar and I could sense him turning on the classic Derek Morgan charm.
“I could ask you the same question.”
“Uh, Y/N, this is SSA Derek Morgan, we work together, Morgan, this is Y/N L/N, we went to high school together.” The “I had a huge crush on her” was silent.
“Nice to meet you, doll,” he reached out a hand to shake yours. His eyes lingered on you for a bit too long, and I recognized the look in her eyes from the way she talked to Kyle in the halls before our study sessions, and I didn’t like any of that one bit.
Derek turned back to me, “JJ sent you down here a while ago, she’s looking for you.”
I glanced at Y/N and tried to hide the cocktail of emotions in my mind, “I guess I just lost track of time.”
He probably caught onto something because his regular teasing smirk flashed on across his face, “You guess, sure, loverboy, I’ll be in our room. Nice meeting you, Y/N.” He left and she waved, watching him as he left.
“JJ?” She asked, turning back to me.
“Coworker of mine, she left her purse down here and sent me to get it for her.”
“Oh, Blondie from earlier?”
“Yeah.”
“She seemed nice. So pretty!” She reached below the bar and pulled out the small black purse that was left behind about an hour before, holding it up to me and cocking an eyebrow.
“Yep.”
“How long have you two been working together? Long enough to be more than coworkers?”
I laughed uncomfortably, “Uh, n-no, actually this is actually my first case on the field, before this I only really helped the team consult on cases, but this one was urgent and I wanted to visit my mom so they brought me along.”
“Well, send Diana my love.”
“Of course. And if you hear anything from Jamie about another missing kid, give us a call.” I reached into his pocket and pulled out a card, sliding it to her and leaving with a sympathetic smile, wishing I could say more.
              (Reader POV)
About a week after you ran into Spencer, you were closely following the story as it unfolded on the news. Another kid had gone missing, the second in two weeks. His name was Drew Olson, he was a year older than Jamie. They didn’t find a body yet, so there was still hope. Robbie hadn’t turned up either, which was the best news you had about him. No other bodies have shown up yet, and the cause of death for the boy they found was starvation, so the guy probably didn’t want to hurt these kids.
Regardless of whether or not the situation was actually dangerous, the school still increased security, since two of the victims were students. The pickup line was heavily monitored by teachers and faculty to make sure all students went home with their parents. You had gotten there a bit later than usual, forcing you to the back of the crowd where you couldn’t see the kids as they came out of the building.
When you finally got up towards the front, there were only a handful of kids left.
And Jamie wasn’t one of them.
Panic started to twist your stomach into knots, but the rational part of your brain clawed at the inside of your skull saying he was just inside, he was waiting in a classroom, he was safe.
You pushed through to the teacher that was keeping track of names on her clipboard. She was younger, just about your age, and wore wire-framed glasses that complimented her dark braids. She gave a warm smile and asked for your child’s name.
“Brothers, Jamie Brothers.”
“Alrighty, let’s see--” she paused as her finger stopped over a name highlighted by a bright green, indicating that the child had been picked up: Jamie Brothers.
“He’s not here.”
“What? What do you mean he’s not here?” The part of your brain that said he was safe fucked right off and left you a shaking mess on the pavement. The teacher reached an arm out and held you by the elbow as your knees buckled beneath you. Other parents’ attention was suddenly directed towards you.
“Ma’am, the sheet says he was picked up already.”
“But by who? Not me! So who the hell took my son?” All eyes were on you as you didn’t even bother to control the volume of your voice.
“Mrs. Brothers, please remain calm, I’m sure there’s been a mistake, I can send someone in to find him inside the school.”
“Please…” You whimpered, unable to find your breath.
...Give us a call…
Spencer’s words echoed in your mind and you knew what you had to do, so you scrambled through your bag for the card you were given the week before. You frantically cursed under your breath as you searched for your wallet. You finally found it, taking it out with your phone so you could call the number on the card. It rang once, twice, three times before an unfamiliar voice crackled through on the other side.
“Agent Hotchner.”
“Are you with the FBI?”
“...Yes, who is this?”
“My name is Y/N L/N, Spencer Reid gave me this number if I knew anything.”
“Do you have information regarding the recent abductions?”
“My son’s been taken.” You could feel the lump in your throat nearly restricting any words from coming out.
“Hold on, ma’am, where are you?”
“I’m at the school, he’s not here. I came to get him and he’s not here, I don’t know what to do!”
“Miss L/N, stay put, we’re on our way.” The call ended with a click and suddenly the world went quiet. There was nothing but the rush of blood pounding in your ears. All you could do was stare blankly at nothing in particular as the phone fell from your hand, hitting the pavement, your knees following quickly behind. You felt the bruises on impact, but you couldn’t care less about how much pain you were in, not when you felt this numb. Your pain didn’t matter anymore, all that mattered was that Jamie was missing and you were powerless to help. The remaining parents surrounded you, all clutching the shoulders of their children, their safe children, the ones they didn’t have to call the fucking FBI to pick up from school today.
When your brain was able to process information again, you noticed the school parking lot had filled with police cars, including two large black SUVs. You squinted through the inappropriately bright sunlight and the bitter tears in your eyes to see a tall man in a dark suit approach you. Behind him, a scrawny young man in a plaid buttondown was following closely.
You recognized him right away this time.
“Spencer,” your voice was barely a whisper as you attempted to stand on your shaking legs. You looked straight past the man in the suit and scrambled over to him. Before you could even reach him, his arms were stretched out to you, enveloping you in a tight hug as soon as you were close enough.
Your heart had to be beating out of your chest, and you were sure he felt it against him. The tears running down your cheeks stained his shirt, soaking him to the skin as he cradled your head against his chest, trying to do whatever he could to make you feel safe again, no matter how scared he was.
The man in the suit was now joined by an older man in a brown jacket and the man you met at the bar the other night, Derek, you think his name was. The suit turned to you and Spencer and introduced himself as Agent Hotchner, the man you spoke to on the phone. He asked you to describe what happened when you arrived, if you saw anyone who looked out of place, if you saw evidence of a struggle. Spencer’s arms never left your frame the whole time you spoke.
“Thank you very much, Miss L/N, I promise we’ll find your son, we have time on our side. Reid, stay with her in the meantime, Morgan, go question the parents, Gideon and I will talk to the monitors and see if they knew who picked Jamie was picked up by.”
“Yes, sir.”
All the men left to complete their tasks except for Spencer, who was supposed to stay put with you. The second you were alone with him once again, your face returned to the spot on his dampened shirt where it had previously been. One of his hands was planted firmly on your upper back, the other stroking your hair between his fingers.
It’s strange, really. Last time you saw him he was just a kid. A brilliant, sweet, small kid. The kid who’s hair you’d fuck with. The kid you held after his bullies hurt him. Then you don’t see him for over a decade and suddenly the roles are reversed. He was tall enough to rest his chin on your head now, which you had mixed feelings about, but you couldn’t deny it calmed you down. Almost as much as his quick yet steady heartbeat drumming right in your ear. The kid was still skinny, but his hugs were still warm.
“You’re alright, we’re gonna find him,” he whispered into your hair, but you had a feeling those words weren’t only for you. After a few minutes, the three other agents returned to where you and Spencer stood, alerting the two of you that the team would be heading back to the police station where you were welcome to wait with them. Derek figured you were too shaken to drive yourself, so he offered to let you ride along with him and Spencer in the SUV, which you did not hesitate to accept.
Once at the station, you were greeted by the blonde from the bar. What was her name again?
“Jennifer Jareau, I’m the press liaison for the team. You can call me JJ.”
She sat with you while Spencer worked with the others on the case. You wanted to be updated whenever progress was made, but she told you that wasn’t totally possible. Regardless of how against the rules it was, she still gave you the profile. The unsub likely worked with children and knew them and faculty well enough to enter the building and take the kids without being noticed. They may be a parent going through a loss, as no evidence of sexual assault or any physical violence was found on the only body save for light ligature marks on the wrists. Due to the relatively nonviolent nature of the crime, the unsub could be a woman. They likely live alone since they are keeping several young boys in their home. Although this likely wasn’t the work of a pedophile, a trafficking ring could not be ruled out yet.
You suddenly understood why the victims’ families aren’t supposed to know the profile. You thought it would make you feel better, but it only made you feel worse. JJ opened up another box of tissues for you, got you water, and offered you snacks, but there was no way you could get anything down. Every sound, every person that passed the window, every buzz of JJ’s phone sent your stomach plummeting down a death drop. You had just calmed yourself down from yet another panic attack when you saw agents strapping on kevlar vests and putting their guns into their holsters.
They knew where the kids were.
              (Spencer’s POV)
I wasn’t allowed to see her before we left. I couldn’t tell her where I was going, I couldn’t tell her that Jamie would be okay, I couldn’t tell her anything. I barely spoke to her since we got back to the station, and that was hours ago. Now I-- we just have to leave her there again.
This was my first time going out on the field in this capacity. I’d never had to step out of that SUV with my gun out, ready to shoot anyone who threatened the lives of my team or any hostages they may have. I’d never had to strap on a kevlar vest and worry about the potential bruises that may be left behind by being hit with bullets. I’d never had to worry about not coming back before.
“Don’t be worried. If your hands shake you won’t get a clear shot,” Gideon reminded me in the car, as if I’d be able to get a clear shot with a steady hand anyway.
The unsub was a woman named Harriet Yanonovich. According to hospital records pulled by Garcia, our new tech analyst, her son had recently passed after a short and sudden battle against leukemia. This came shortly after Harriet had a miscarriage that triggered a chemical imbalance, degrading her mental health, which resulted in the trigger, losing her job at the elementary school that the boys had each been taken from. I would have felt bad for her if she hadn’t taken my friend’s son away from her.
But she did, and now I just have to hope she didn’t hurt him.
We arrived at Harriet’s house fairly quickly. Hotch sent Morgan and me around the back, he and Gideon would take the front. As we rounded the back of the house, we discovered that she had a storm cellar under her deck. The doors were closed with a heavy padlock. Morgan aimed his gun to shoot it off the chain.
“Don’t do that. The bullet would ricochet and hit you in the knee.”
He lowered his weapon, “You got a better idea, pretty boy?”
“Yes, actually.” I quietly crept onto the deck, lifting the welcome mat from in front of the sliding glass door into the absolute wreck of a kitchen. Under the mat was a simple looking key.
“She’s a school teacher going through a depressive episode, not a criminal mastermind.”
“Alright then, genius,” he rolled his eyes, “Let’s see if it even works.”
I inserted the key into the lock, hearing a click and turning it with little difficulty. The shackle popped open. I gently removed it from the chains, trying my hardest not to make any noise that would alarm anyone in the cellar. Unwrapping the chains from the handles, I turned back to face Morgan.
“I accept your apology.” I attempted to muster my smuggest smile, but it was hard to mask the dread and worry on my face.
“Yeah, yeah, open up.”
He grabbed one handle and I grabbed the other, sliding the metal doors open and revealing a staircase into a shadowy basement.
“You first.” Morgan nudged my shoulder.
“What? No way! Morgan, this is serious!”
“So go! It’s your girl’s kid!”
He was right. Not about Y/N being my girl, because she wasn’t (though the thought did briefly replace the anxiety in my heart with pure light that I hadn’t felt since I was twelve), but I was still doing this for her. This case wasn’t just a job for me. This was for Y/N. For Jamie. Y/N deserves to see her son again, I owe her that much.
Derek would learn about my fear of the dark much later, but from how fast I jumped down those stairs into that cellar, he’d never been able to tell.
Against the farthest wall, there were four young boys all curled up in a corner. From the limited light, I could see they were all covered in varying levels of filth, the cleanest boy baring the face I had seen on Y/N’s phone screen. The boys all looked terrified, the two dirtiest looking thin and weak against the ties that bound them to a water pipe. I called up to Morgan to come down and lowered my gun.
“I’m Dr. Spencer Reid with the FBI, I’m here to help you guys, okay?” The boys all nodded. Morgan helped me untie their wrists.
“Do you know where Mrs. Yanonovich went?”
“She said she was going upstairs, and that we have to be good or else we wouldn’t get any supper,” Jamie piped up.
“How long you been down here, kid?” Morgan asked.
Jamie shrugged, “Couple hours.”
“Did she hurt any of you?” The kids all shook their heads no.
Hotch’s voice crackled over the radio, “We have her in custody, any sign of the kids?”
“Yep, we found them in the cellar. All are alive, but we may need a medic on standby at the station for some of them.”
“Are they hurt?”
“No, just malnourished. Definitely dehydrated.”
Morgan and I led the kids out to the surface, the setting sun creating a glare off of the tin cellar doors. We were greeted by Gideon and police rounding the corner to the backyard. The kids ran out the gate towards the police cars, eager to be home soon.
               (Reader POV)
“Okay, I’ll let them know.” JJ hung up and turned back to you, a relieved smile gracing her face. You stood up, desperate to hear the news she had.
“They found the kids, Jamie’s safe.”
You couldn’t stop yourself from lunging at the woman you barely knew, wrapping her in a bear hug as delighted laughs left your lungs. You felt tears of pure relief drip down your cheeks as she squeezed you back, also letting out a deep sigh.
You waited impatiently in the bullpen, anxious to see Jamie unharmed and to give the team your gratitude. When they finally arrived, you saw your son walking hand-in-hand with Spencer and the older agent you believed was named Gideon. Spencer pointed over to you with his free hand and smiled, causing Jamie to drop their hands and sprint into your arms crying “Mommy! Mommy!” You immediately lifted him up and covered his face with kisses. The two of you held onto one another so tight, you were surprised either of you could breathe. Spencer came over to you, smiling with eyes you couldn’t quite recognize.
“Thank you, Spencer.”
“No need, Y/N. I’m glad I could help. I just wish I could have met Jamie here on better terms!”
You adjusted your hold on Jaime to free one hand, stretching it out for Spencer to take it in his own. You squeezed it gently, smiling into those hazel eyes that had somehow never looked warmer before, despite the deep shadows under them.
“Thank you.”
His pursed lips twitched slightly and you noticed the tears brimming his sunken eyes. The poor boy needed sleep and a lot of it soon. He squeezed your hand back, sending shockwaves up your arms straight to your heart, which hadn’t felt this light since you were seventeen years old.
Spencer spun around lazily in his desk chair, flipping through a case file when Derek walked up to him.
“Pretty boy! Just who I was looking for!”
Spencer looked up from the folder at Derek and groaned internally, “What’s up?”
Derek half sat on the edge of the desk, barely containing his excitement as his leg bounced.
“How would you like to go out tonight on a date?”
Spencer scrunched up his eyebrows, a vague look of confusion painting his face. He was waiting for the punch like of this joke, or prank or whatever it was Morgan was trying to pull.
“A date?”
“Yep, a date.”
“With who?” Spencer dropped the file on his desk, crossing his hands across his chest and looking up at Derek. A date? He hadn’t even talked to a girl since Maeve. How was he supposed to go on a date?
“This nurse Savannah works with, (Y/N), I think you guys would be a great pair.”
So this wasn’t just another prank. Spencer sighed, rubbing his eyes with his hands.
“I don’t know, I haven’t, since—“
Derek cut him off, “I know, but it’s been three years Reid. She’d want you to move on.”
Spencer thought about it for a moment. It had crossed his mind recently that he needed to get back out there if he wanted any chance at a family in the future. He came to terms with Maeve’s loss a while ago, but it still felt like he would be cheating on her if he even looked at another woman.
“Look, kid, I think this one could really be worth it. She’s funny, kind, super smart and outgoing, I think you’d make a good match. I wouldn’t even bring it up to you if I didn’t.” Derek looked sincere, his eyebrows furrowed with worry.
Spencer thought for a moment and nodded, a sudden feeling of confidence coming over him, “Yeah, yeah okay I’ll go.”
What’s the worst that could happen? She could hate him and end up being a crazy killer? The odds were slim.
“Really?” Derek’s eyes were wide.
“Yeah, if she agrees to it why not?”
Derek slapped the desk and then squeezed Spencer’s shoulders, “Savannah and I will pick you up at 7, loverboy.”
“You and Savann–“ Spencer cut himself off, “Wait it’s a double date?”
Derek shrugged, “Yeah, that way if it goes South we can swoop in. But don’t worry. This date is not going downhill, not on my watch.”
Spencer just laughed lightly and tucked his overgrown hair behind his ear. A slight pang of guilt and dread formed in his stomach but he did his best to ignore it. Maybe this would be good for him? He hoped it was.
————
“No,” you said to Savannah over the nurse’s station.
She was trying to set you up, yet again, on another blind date. She was your best friend and you loved her, but she couldn’t let it go. She was constantly trying to matchmake for you, especially since she met Derek. You always told her she got the last decent guy, to which she’d roll her eyes and say, ‘Your guy is out there!’ You didn’t think that was true anymore.
“Y/N! C’mon, it’ll be fun!”
You rolled your eyes, skimming another patient file, “That’s what you said about Dylan. And Brian. And Craig. And they were not fun Sav!”
You started walking down the hallway and she followed you, shoes squeaking, “This one is different though.”
You stopped and made eye contact with her. She looked hopeful, genuine, sincere. Part of you wanted to say yes, but after several disaster dates with the disaster men that she sent your way you were very doubtful.
“You also said Scott was ‘different’ and he ended up still living in his mother’s basement.”
Savannah laughed and shook her head, “Okay, I was wrong about Scott. But I mean it. Spencer’s special!”
“He’s special?” You sounded bored.
“Yes! He works with Derek. The nerdy kid, remember?”
You vaguely remembered her meeting some of his coworkers and nodded, “Yeah he’s like a genius or whatever?”
“Yes him!”
You pretended to think, tapping your chin over zealously and then finally said, “Nope,” popping the ‘p’. You started down the hall way again, her still following you. She always was persistent, and even a little stubborn.
“Y/N, listen to me. Spencer is like 6’1, smart, lanky, kinda awkward but sweet, nerdy, brown shaggy hair; he’s literally your exact type.”
You sighed, she was right. That is your exact type. If you could build-a-man like build-a-bear, Spencer Reid is who you’d make. Savannah did always prefer the more masculine men like Derek, whereas you had a tendency to go for guys who looked like they ran on coffee and adderall and had sensitive eyes.
“Derek and I will be there too, double date style, just in case you guys need a little nudge.”
“But Sav—“
“Nope, no buts. You’re coming. This is a good one, Y/N. I can feel it.”
“But what about work? What if we get called or they do or?”
You were rambling looking for an excuse not to go. You had no good reason to say no, you were just tired of one too many bad dates.
“Work is NOT getting in the way this time! I’ll see you at 7,” she cooed, waving as she slipped into a patient room.
Maybe she was right, maybe he would be special?
————
So that’s how you ended up sitting across from Spencer Reid in the booth of a diner at 7 pm on a Thursday night.
“I swear I reserved the restaurant for tonight!” Derek said, Savannah on his arm as you all walked a few blocks to the diner. They were Barbie and Ken, just hotter. You and Spencer walked side by side, about a foot between you.
When you had arrived at the fancy restaurant at 6:45 the hostess informed you all that Derek had reserved a table for a Thursday three months from now. The backup plan was the 24-hour diner you and Savannah hit many times post shift.
Spencer sat across from you, folding open the massive menu to find something he’d like. He was exactly how you remembered him: wickedly smart and devilishly handsome.
A dangerous combination.
“So Y/N, Spencer’s from Las Vegas,” Savannah started, not to subtly nudging you under the table with her leg.
“Really? That’s nice, I love Vegas,” You said and Spencer nodded slightly in response, “You’ve been?”
You nodded, “Yeah, for a few girls trips.”
He just nodded and let the conversation die. You felt a little defeated. Was this guy that bad at dates? Or did he just not like you?
True to her word, Savannah stepped in again.
“Today Y/N had a patient throw ice chips at her.”
“What’d you do to make them do that?” Derek said, peeking over the massive menu at you.
You laughed, “That’s not even the worst thing that’s happened.”
“What rotation are you on right now?” Spencer asked you and ordered a Shirley temple. What kind of guy orders a Shirley temple? This guy. This impossibly cute guy, who probably didn’t want you.
“Labor and delivery, so I’ve had many things thrown at me, been called many names,” You laughed and he smiled back.
“I can only imagine.”
“Pretty boy here has actually delivered a baby before,” Derek chimed in.
You stifled a laugh, “Really? Is that so?”
Spencer’s cheeks turned a light pink, “Yeah, actually, and it was not what I expected.”
“Well what did you expect?”
He smirked, “I read all the manuals, I didn’t expect rose petals and magic but that much fluid? Where does it all even come from?”
You and Savannah chuckled, “Squeamish Dr. Reid?”
“Surprisingly, birth is harder to see than some of the dead bodies we get.”
“Hey hey, no dead body and grossness talk at dinner. I’m trying to eat here,” Derek said as the food arrived.
Spencer put his hands up in defeat, “No more dead body talk, I promise.”
You did the same, “No more birth talk, promise!”
You all started to eat, and of course you and Spencer reached for the ketchup at the same time, bumping fingers, like in those teen movies.
“I’m sorry, ladies first,” he said. You grabbed the bottle and squeezed ketchup all over your french fries.
Savannah cringed, “She doesn’t put ketchup on the side of her fries to dip like a normal person, she squeezes it all over top like a psychopath.”
You feigned insult and lightly hit her arm, “Hey! Don’t call me a psychopath in front of all the FBI agents!”
“For what it’s worth, Y/N, you definitely aren’t a psychopath,” Spencer said, offering you a shy smile, “I know psychopaths.”
“Thank you Dr. Reid,” you blushed and he took the ketchup from you, squirting it all over his fries just like you did.
“See! I’m not crazy! He did it too!”
“Probably because you’re both psychopaths,” Savannah giggled and the four of you laughed.
You reached over and took a fry from Spencer’s plate and then you both were finally comfortable. You looked at Savannah once and gave her a thumbs up; she was right, this was a good one.
The rest of the night was perfect. You and Spencer joked and laughed and learned about each other, by the end of the night you almost forgot Derek and Savannah were even there. The two of you were in your own little world, and it was amazing. You would’ve stayed out forever if they would’ve let you.
“We can all hitch a cab?” Derek said as you all stood on the corner. It was cold out and Spencer had so kindly given you his suit jacket. It smelled like fancy cologne, how much more attractive could he be?
You looked at Spencer, and he looked at you, and in that moment you made a decision. You were not going home without this man tonight.
“Actually, I live a few blocks that way,” You said, pointing in the opposite direction, the oversized jacket flopping as you did so, “I’m good to walk home.”
“Would you like some company?” Spencer said, his mouth turned up in a crooked smile. He rocked back and forth on his heels.
“I’d love some.”
Derek and Savannah gave each other a knowing look and bid you farewell. Spencer offered his arm and you grabbed it, leading him to your apartment.
As you walked he pointed out sights and told you the history of the landmarks you were passing.
“The Washington Monument was completed in two phases, a private one from 1848 to 1854 and then a public one from 1876 to 1884.”
“Have you ever been up in it?” You asked, stopping to stare up at the huge monument.
“No, have you?”
You nodded, “Yeah, I have.”
“Maybe you can take me up next time,” he stammered out, blushing and squeezing your arm tight.
You smiled, blush creeping up your face as well at the thought of a “next time.”
“Yeah, I’d love to, and then I’ll show you the best bakery in DC. I’m a sucker for an eclair.”
You released your arm from the crook of his elbow and grabbed his hand. He grabbed yours back, looking down at you in his jacket in the moonlight. His eyes were shiny and the brown was dark, almost black. His tongue darted in and out of his mouth and he bit on his lip ever so slightly.
You wanted to kiss him. Scratch that. You needed to kiss him. You stopped again and he turned to face you. Just as you went up on your tippy toes to kiss him, he knelt down to your level and connected your lips.
It was a short, sweet, innocent kiss that made butterflies erupt in your stomach, and other places. When you separated you were both grinning ear to ear.
The rest of the walk was hand in hand, him rubbing his thumb over your knuckles and you both talking. When you arrived at the front door, you both paused.
“Well, this is me,” You said and started to unlock the door. He stayed a few steps down, just smiling at you.
“Do you want my—should I give you my phone number?” He said, his voice laced with doubt.
You smiled and turned, “Actually...”
His face fell, a sad expression covering the smile he had moments ago.
“Oh, it’s okay I understand, I-I thought we were having a good time is all,” he mumbled out, rubbing his arms because he was freezing and you still had on his jacket.
“I was going to say would you like to come in?” You said, feeling just as awkward as he did.
His eyes widened, “Uh- do I want to come in?” Even he knew what that was insinuating.
You suddenly felt embarrassed, like you had misread the entire situation, “I mean, only if you want to?”
He regained his confidence a little, “Yeah. Yeah, I want to.” And he followed you inside.
You slid off his suit jacket and laid it nicely over a chair, “Can I get you a drink?”
He nodded, “Water’s fine.”
As you went to the kitchen to find him a glass of water, he made himself at home on the couch. You could’ve sworn you heard him mumbling to himself, but shrugged it off. You sat next to him and placed the two glasses of water on the coffee table.
You turned to him, “So—“
To your surprise, he immediately kissed you again, this time with less innocence and much longer. You kissed back, nipping slightly at his lower lip. The kiss got more and more intense, your tongue moving between his slightly chapped lips. His hands found a home on your hip bones, using his thumbs to rub small circles there. When you separated you both had to take a few slow breaths.
“Sorry, I don’t usually do this on a first date,” you mumbled, scooting closer to him so your thighs were touching.
He grabbed a stray piece of your hair and tucked it behind your ear, “I don’t usually do this at all.”
His hand went to cup your face and he was kissing you again. This time, you leaned back so he could hover over you, his tie laying over your chest.
His hands were on either side of you, and your fingers were running through his messy brown hair. You tugged slightly at the root, making him moan and open his mouth even more to you.
Slowly you reached down to fumble with his tie, his hand reached up to stop you.
“Patience,” he mumbled into your lips before kissing down your cheek and across your jaw. Each kiss sent jolts through your body, making the peach fuzz on your neck stand up. You put your hands back where they were in his hair, and one of his hands stayed next to you, supporting him, and the other landed on your hip. His lips found a spot just under your ear, and he sucked on it slightly making you moan and shut your eyes.
“The ears are a neglected erogenous zone,” he said against your skin before nipping and biting at the lobe.
“I-I like it,” you breathed out as you reached back for his tie and undid it, tossing it somewhere across from the couch.
“Should we take this somewhere else?”
You nodded, and in one motion he picked you up bridal style. You wrapped your arms around his shoulders and giggled as you led him to your bedroom. He laid you on your bed gently.
You scooted up to the pillows and propped yourself up on your elbows, “Lose the shirt, Dr. Reid.”
He raised and eyebrow at you but did what you asked and soon his dress shirt and undershirt were on the floor. He was slim but covered in muscle. You bit your lip at the thought how scratch marks would look down his back.
“It’s rude to stare,” he joked, and another redhot flush graced your cheeks.
You absentmindedly rubbed your legs together in anticipation as he began to undo his belt. You felt like it was only fair that you undressed too, so you took off your dress and laid out in your bra and underwear.
When he returned to hovering over you he smiled, sloppy kisses running from your lips and down your neck. You silently cursed yourself for not wearing nicer undergarments, but Spencer didn’t seem to mind as he palmed your breasts over your beige bra. You moaned into the skin of his shoulder and started to kiss and suck there. Your hands scratched down is back, leaving red lines in their wake. He grabbed your bra straps and pulled them off your shoulders, pulling the bra down to expose you to him.
With a sharp intake of breath, his mouth was around one of your nipples, sucking on it and twisting it between his lips. His free hand came up to pinch the other bud, making you moan loudly again. You arched your back to meet him, and his hand left your chest to force you back down.
You whimpered as you felt him hard and hot against your thigh. Then he switched sides, wanting to give you equal attention. He stayed there until you begged him to stop.
“S-Spencer,” you said between breathy moans, “Just fuck me already.”
He pulled back and blew on your chest lightly, sending shivers down your spine and wetness to your center.
He stopped and looked at you, his eyes warm and full of concern, “Are you sure?”
You writhed underneath him, “Yes, I’m sure. I’m clean. I’m protected. Please. I need you.”
He completely removed your bra and underwear now, leaving you naked beneath him. You pulled his boxers down slightly, so he could spring out. You pumped him a few times and ran the tip across your entrance, making both of you groan. He kissed you kindly, like he had in front of the washington monument, and then slid inside of you.
You groaned at the feeling, clutching the sheets beside you as he let you adjust.
“Okay?” He whispered and you nodded.
“Do something Spencer, please.”
And with that he began thrusting in and out of you slowly, stopping when he bottomed out. You wrapped your thighs around his waist and pulled him in closer to you while your hands tugged at his hair. The sounds falling from both of you were obscene and delicious. It was hard to tell where he started and you ended.
“Fuck,” he groaned, falling from his hands to his elbows over you. Your chests touched and he stuck his thumb in your mouth. You instinctively sucked in it and he took it between your thighs to start stroking figure-eights on your clit. You groaned and arched into him.
“Don’t stop,” You mumbled, kissing whatever skin your mouth could reach.
“I’m close,” he whispered, sweat dripping off his forehead and onto you but you didn’t care. All that mattered was the way he was winding you up with his fingers, getting you closer and closer to the edge. You stared up at him, his hair stuck to his forehead and his eyebrows furrowed. You made eye contact and he caught your lips in a lusty kiss.
“Wait for me,” you ordered, scratching more lines down his back as your orgasm took over. Your vision went black, your whole body tensing as you pulsed around him.
He rode your high with you while chasing his own.
“Where can I?”
“My mouth,” you said, as he pulled out and put his tip between your lips. You used your hands and mouth to finish him before he came.
The two of you flopped on the bed panting, then started laughing. You turned to lay your head on his chest, “I’m glad I went out tonight.”
He pulled you close to him, so your head was just above his pounding heart, “So am I.” And he kissed your forehead.
You snuck out of his arms to get cleaned up and returned to your spot on his chest. There he stroked your back lightly until you both fell asleep.
————
The next morning you were turned away from Spencer, your butts touching slightly making you chuckle. You looked over at him and he was still soundly sleeping, looking even more adorable than he had the night before, if that was even possible.
You looked for your phone and saw two missed calls from Savannah. You called her back.
“Hey,” you whispered so you wouldn’t wake Spencer.
“Sooo what’d you think? What’d you guys do? Did you....”
You rolled your eyes, “It was a great night Savannah.”
She squealed on the other side, “YES! I knew it. You owe me $15!” She called to Derek, who was no doubt listening on the other end. You had to stifle a laugh.
“So there’s a second date in your future? I don’t have to keep setting you up?”
You looked over at Spencer, his hair falling in angelic waves around his face. You admired the lips you had grown to know last night and couldn’t wait to feel them again.
“No more setting me up,” You whispered, “And you were right Sav, this one is special.”
You couldn’t tell but Spencer was awake, his mouth turning up into a smile as he overheard your conversation. When you hung up he stretched as if he has just woken up.
“Hey,” he said, voice raspy and groggy.
“Hey,” you placed a peck on his lips.
“How about breakfast is date number two?”
“Okay, but I would rather not go to a strip club to celebrate my 22nd birthday. I would’ve been fine with bbq.” Mingyu says as he steps out of the car with Minghao and Seokmin at his side, excited smiles on their faces. He glances up at the sight in front of him, raising an eyebrow when he sees a small bakery.
“I feel like we should go to a strip club at least once in our lives.” Seokmin tells him, to which Minghao nods his head in agreement. Mingyu’s eyes widen in confusion when the two lead him into the cute bakery, with a theme of baby pink and leafy plants used as decoration. Mingyu opens his mouth to protest when Seokmin walks up to the counter, only to freeze the moment the cashier pops up with a knowing smile.
“Jun?!” He glances over, winking at Mingyu as he walks to the other counter, raising it up to let the three of them in. Another coworker of Jun’s takes over the register, waiting for another customer.
“Happy birthday big guy.” Jun greets Mingyu, patting his back as they follow him into the kitchen.
“You guys are making me work on my birthday?” Mingyu asks with wide eyes as they step past the kitchen. Minghao lets out a giggle at that, shaking his head while Jun and Seokmin roll their eyes. Jun opens a door, showing a glowing staircase leading downstairs. He turns to glance at Mingyu, lips curving up into a smirk. “You’ll see.”
Mingyu raises an eyebrow at the sound of a bass as they walk farther down the stairs, only for his mouth to drop open when they finally make it to the bottom floor. He takes in the dark purple lights illuminating themselves on the ceiling and floor, noticing a crowd beginning to gather around the stage. The ceiling is made of mirrors, and he sees his reflection from above. He’s about to look around more, but immediately covers his eyes when a girl walks past him in nothing but a thong and a bra. Seokmin and Minghao laugh at Mingyu’s innocence, and Jun shakes his head with a smile.
“You’re allowed to look, Gyu.”
“But they didn’t give me their consent.”
“Mingyu, we’re in the middle of a strip club. That’s their work attire. You can look, but you cannot touch unless they give you their consent.” Jun explains, but Mingyu still continues to cover his eyes. Minghao and Seokmin giggle, patting Mingyu’s back as they continue through the club.
“The bakery you work at is an underground strip club?!” Mingyu asks Jun, still covering his eyes as the four guide him towards the front row seats near the stage. “Yup, only those with an invite are allowed to come here.”
“Who decides who gets an invite?” Mingyu gets placed onto the seat, and Minghao removes his hands from over his eyes to be able to see the large stage with a pole right before him. Seokmin sits down beside him, as does Minghao, while Jun just stands in front of them with a knowing grin.
“I do.” Jun answers, and Mingyu’s eyes bulge out of their sockets.
“Since when?!”
“This place was handed down to me by an old friend a year ago, and now I keep things running. I renovated the club a bit, the poles weren’t in the best condition and such.” Jun explains nonchalantly, settling down beside Minghao.
“And you managed to not tell anyone in our friend group… how?” Jun chuckles, as do Minghao and Seokmin.
“I’ve mentioned it before! You typically just close your eyes when I’ve talked about it at our hangouts though.” Mingyu raises a hand to the back of his neck, scratching it in confusion at how he’s the only one who hasn’t known about Jun’s double life. He’s about to ask another question when the lights dim, and then turn back on, then repeat two more times. Seokmin and Minghao grin excitedly, and Mingyu jumps slightly at the start of the loud hoots and cheers from the men and women in the seats behind him.
“What does that mean?” Jun just points towards the stage as his response, and Mingyu turns his head to see a figure hidden by the darkness of the stage.
“You’ll see.”
You let out a breath as you wait for your cue, biting your lip to hide back your smile at the sound of loud cheers behind you. You hear the first beat of the song, earned it, and you turn around slowly. A playful smirk makes its way onto your face as the cheers get louder.
Mingyu’s breath gets taken away from him once the light finally hits you, and Jun knowingly smiles at his reaction. You glance up at the crowd, eyes hooded seductively. Similar to that of a tiger going in for its prey.
a/n: horanghae <3
Jun leans back in his seat, high fiving Minghao and winking at Seokmin, feeling accomplished. All while Mingyu watches in a state of awe as you dance down the stage, slowly inching off the sheer pink, floral robe you’re wearing.
He notices a twinkle on your face, and he feels his heart rate increase when he sees the single diamond under each eye. Your hair falls in waves, giving you the appearance that you’re soft when the way you’re moving is anything but. You smirk as you grasp one of the poles on the side, doing a slow spin around it. You smile at the loud cheers, finally letting the robe slowly fall behind you as you walk towards the pole at the center of the stage. Mingyu clenches the arm of the seat tightly when he sees the pink lace, feeling like he’s about to pass out at your beauty. There’s glitter painted all over your body, giving you the appearance that you’re sparkling under the different lights being shined onto you.
an angel, Mingyu thinks to himself as he watches you do a pirouette.
You grasp the pole, and your eyes trail down to see Jun sitting in the front row. You almost raise an eyebrow at the sight of your friend/boss, only for you to glance to his right and see an incredibly handsome man. You spin around the pole, arching your back as you finally face him again. You give him a smile, sending him a wink, which sends your audience into a frenzy. Seokmin lets out a loud laugh at Mingyu’s reaction, finding him clutching his dress shirt tightly in his hands at the fact that you noticed him.
Minghao and Jun cheer loudly as you grab the pole with both hands, lifting yourself up into the air and doing a fan kick. Mingyu watches with a clenched jaw as you let your feet touch the floor again, leaning your back against it for a quick second.
You smile at the feeling of his eyes on you, excited for him to see the climax of your routine. You grasp the pole with both hands, and give enough momentum to flip yourself upside down, spinning around on the pole for a moment. Before you adjust your hand placement, and let your legs open into a split. Mingyu’s mouth drops open at the sheer power you have, and you grin at the screams.
You land softly onto the stage, and walk down the steps to the floor. The men and women cheer loudly, calling your name in an attempt to try and get you to perform this next part with them, but you pay them no mind.
you’ve already got your eyes on someone.
Mingyu watches with wide eyes as you walk up to him, and Seokmin squeals when you do a pirouette in front of him. You place both hands on either side of Mingyu, and you lean in close to his face, making sure to arch your back as you do so. You smile when you notice how flustered he is, and you step back after blowing him a kiss.
Mingyu watches your back as you dance away, failing to notice that it’s the end of the song. He stares as you go back up to your pole, kneeling in front of it. You grind up against it at the last line, before leaning back into your ending pose. The cheers are deafening around you, and you smile at the money getting thrown onto the stage. You bow at the crowd, making sure to lock eyes with Mingyu, before turning around and walking down the stage.
All while Mingyu stares in a trance as you disappear behind the curtain.
“Who is she?” He asks after a moment of sitting in silence. Jun smiles, having already expected the question.
“Yn, her name is yn.” Mingyu stares at the curtain for a moment, hoping that you’ll come back out.
“She’s beautiful.” Mingyu mutters, and Minghao chuckles along with Seokmin. Jun gets up from his seat, patting Mingyu’s shoulder.
“She’s the best performer here.”
“Hi Junnie!” You greet cheerfully as you enter the bakery, walking up to the counter to order. He turns around and frowns at you, and you scoff at his reaction. “You want cookies? Again?”
“Bitch!” You reach your hand up to slap his shoulder and he laughs, backing away to go and get you the freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. Taking a quick glance around the cute bakery, you smile softly at how starkly different it is downstairs. It’s similar to that of your double life.
university student by day, most popular stripper at the bakery by night.
You purse your lips once you consider the idea of buying something else, knowing that your classes run a bit longer today due to your lab in the afternoon. You flip your hair over your shoulder as you peek through the window of the display box, trying to see if you want to order something else before you head to your classes in an hour.
“I recommend the mangotale.” A deep voice says behind you, and you grin, turning around to thank them when you pause. Mingyu’s smile slowly falls off his face as he stares into your eyes, finding them to be a lot softer when you’re not performing.
“You’re yn.” Mingyu mutters, and you nod your head in response, words failing to form in your throat. His black hair is fluffy and lays over his forehead, a contrast to it being styled up the night before. He’s wearing a simple muted green polo and jeans, and you find that he seems tiny compared to his actual height. You open your mouth to ask for his name when,
“Ah, so you two finally met.” You and Mingyu both turn to Jun at the same time, who is walking back up to the counter, box of cookies in hand. You let out a smile and clap excitedly at the sweet treats, making Mingyu coo internally at how cute you are.
but also question your duality because how can someone be so cute yet so sexy and borderline intimidating at the same time?!?!
“Yn, this is Mingyu. Mingyu, this is yn. Now kiss.” Jun states nonchalantly after you hand him your card. You choke on your saliva while Mingyu gives Jun a death glare. To which he just smiles and shoots him finger guns.
“Isn’t that a bit soon? I don’t kiss on the first date, let alone before the date is even considered.” You tell Jun, giving him a look that says:
I will murder you in your sleep if you continue to play matchmaker even though Mingyu is incredibly handsome and definitely my type. Do. Not. Test. Me. I swear to God I will literally break into your apartment and-
“Well, I can treat you to coffee?” Mingyu asks, and you pause your internal monologue to glance at the attractive man. He’s staring at you with a small smile on his face, waiting for your answer, and you gape at him like a fish out of water. Jun chuckles at your reaction, placing your card towards your hand and leaning back against the counter to watch what unfolds.
“Y-you wanna treat m-me to coffee?”
“Jesus Christ yn, you’re literally the most confident person on stage and yet off stage you’re panicking over Mingyu asking you on a date.” Jun states, and you turn to hush him. Mingyu lets out a giggle, and you feel your knees get weak at the wonderful sound. He tilts his head to the side, waiting for your response, and you take that moment to muster up the confidence you have on stage.
atta girl, Jun thinks to himself as you glance back at Mingyu and flash him a bright smile.
“Yes, I would like to get coffee with you.” You finally answer, and Mingyu lets out a breath of relief. He turns towards Jun, giving him thumbs up, before turning back to you and giving you a big smile.
“Well, what would you like?” Mingyu asks as he gestures towards the display box of baked goodies, and then points towards the menu with a list of drinks. You giggle happily at the prospect of you being on a date right now, before biting your lip to hide another smile from coming up.
Jun chuckles quietly at you, she’s the most attainable girl at the bakery and yet she’s so giddy about being on a date with mingyu.
“Let’s try the mangotale.” You say, pointing at the mango jelly filled bread that he suggested to you earlier. Mingyu grins at you, feeling that this is going to be the start of something beautiful when you glance back up at him and give him a bright smile.
“Wonderful choice.”
