Anyone who was looking at Mark at that moment, lying on the gingham blanket laid out on the grass, would think he was enjoying the view of his hard work.

He's the reason you and Haechan found each other in the first place.

You're running around the park trying to get to Haechan and his phone to delete the pictures he took of you napping; mouth agape and camera angled straight into your nostrils.

It's a screaming contest too, as Haechan replies to your threats of homicide with nothing but flowery commentary.

You're wearing a floral piece, one that Mark got you for your graduation. It was the same dress you had worn on your first official date with Haechan, at the suggestion of Mark himself. He even managed to do your hair for you. Granted you were picking bobby pins out of your hair for days afterward, but you took a million pictures to show his mom the next time you saw her.

Your hair was open and flowing behind you today, as you tackled your boyfriend to the ground, tickling him in an attempt to get him to let go of the death device.

You looked gorgeous under the spring sunlight, the slight sweat on your forehead making you look like you were glowing. It was all becoming too much for Mark as he sits up and tries to distract himself.

His feelings were always there, and he was playing a formidable game of lying to himself until it became the truth. That never could've worked, but he hoped he could become a breakthrough case.

Mark liked you more than he should, and the fact of the matter sets itself in stone after enough games of push and pull inside his own mind.

There's always regret, for not interceding in the budding romance between you and Haechan, but you were both so unbelievably happy. Never having the heart for anything other than encouragement.

He sits there, picking at grass when you bolt to where Mark is for refuge as Haechan tries to grab you.

In that fleeting moment, he wonders if he'll ever see you run to him in the way the oh-so wishes you would.
