I thought tumblr had just decided to be super into Dracula all of sudden until I finally looked up what was going on. If you want more vampire content, check out Juda on Hulu. It’s about a Jewish vampire and is written and acted by Jews. It’s a cool reclaiming of folklore that at times has been influenced by antisemitism

The characters in this story is fictional. Any names or places taken are just coincidence.
Brown's Family Demon.
File case #01
Simon Brown lives in a town of Nashville Tennessee alongside his wife,Emma Brown and one daughter, Annie. They moved in on a double storey house. At their first month on the house, nothing strange happen. But on the previous week, they started to experience weird things around their house. Don't know what to do,they asked for me to come and help them.
- Part 1
The Haunting
-
*doorbells ringing*
"Oh you must be Kaizo right?"
I nodded.
"Simon Brown. Am I right?",I asked him.
"Yes it's me. Come on in sir".
I walked inside their house and all I see is a cozy living room with some special family photos. The place seems to be a place where you wish the memories of a family will live on.
Then a lady about 165 cm tall walked in with a 12 year old girl.
"Ah yes. Kaizo this is my wife,Emma and our daughter,Annie", Simon introduced his family member to me.
"Nice to meet you guys", I greeted them. "So Mr. Brown. I heard that you experience a strange activity around your house and your daughter seems to be have a connection with whatever the thing is. Please explain it", I started to record the story.
"Well it happened weeks ago when all of us fell sleep. We heard like a footsteps outside of our bedroom and when we try to investigate it because we might taught Annie is not sleeping and go get late night snack. But when we look outside there's no one there. We look at her bedroom door and it's not being touch at all. Things get weirder when we heard someone running downstairs. Emma and me rushed downstairs and checked every corner of the house to see if someone might break in, but no one is there". Simon explained to me every detail of what happened last week.
"The next night right at 3:45 at the morning, our daughter awake as she heard a deep growl in her closet. She said she saw a dark creature glaring at her. She is freaked out that moment because the figure has a red eyes and is very tall. The next day she screams as she rushed towards us on our bedroom showing us a scar on her arm. The next day,the activity become more aggressive when my wife is left alone at our house while I go to work and Annie in her school", Simon seems to be terrified.
I asked them what happened. Her wife then explained of her demonic experience she encountered
"It was on the daylight when I saw what seems to be a paranormal activity. I was just sitting on the living room when all of sudden I heard like a glass breaks in the kitchen. I go to see what that is but found nothing. Then all of the sudden, the dining chair being pulled really quick like someone aggressively pulls it. It happened in front of my eyes and I was freaked out. I thought that they might be an explanation but I never saw something weird like that before. I quickly call Simon to come back home while waiting for him outside".
"When I got home, we walked in to see what is going on inside and the things that we got is the cross that we hang in the wall being turn upside down. We were really freaked out. We packed all of our clothes including our daughter's and spend our few nights at a motel on the town. That's all that happened",Simon explained and finished his story.
I stopped the recording and understanding the situation.
'This is not just a normal case. It doesn't seem like a spirit but maybe a demon attack. I should get a better help for this case',I whispered to myself.
Continue tomorrow....

George: The U.S.S. Forrestal Ghost
Via: http://theshadowlands.net/ghost/ghost-a.htm#forrestal%20ghost
George lurks in two of the ship's below-the-waterline storage areas, one of them a former morgue, spooked sailors claim. "I've got one guy working for me now who refuses to go down there alone. Our last chief petty officer in charge, who has since transferred, refused to go down there at all," says Petty Officer Daniel Balboa, in charge of the officers' mess. "I've never seen any ghosts but you can hear weird things down there," said Balboa. "I was taking inventory one night and heard a noise like deck grating being picked up and dropped," he recalled. "I'd turn around and look but didn't see anything. When I turned around to begin my work again, the noise started again." One night, Balboa said, he was checking temperatures in food-storage freezers and kept finding open doors he had shut behind him. "It is impossible for anyone to open the reefer (refrigerator) doors from the outside, behind me. To open them from the outside requires a key since the doors lock automatically. "I had the only key with me. That incident puts me on the verge of believing," he said. Some say the ghost is a chief killed during a 1967 flight deck fire that killed 137 sailors in the Gulf of Tonkin off the coast of North Vietnam, Brooks wrote. Others guess he's a pilot whose body was once stored on the ship. Petty Officer James Hillard hasn't ventured into the haunted areas since he saw George last year while checking out odd footsteps. "He was wearing a khaki uniform, like an officer or chief would wear," he says. He followed the apparition into a compartment but "there was nobody in there, and I swear that is where he went," Hillard said. Mess Specialist 2nd Class Gary Weiss saw a khaki-clad ghost go down a ladder to pump room No. 1. Whoever went down into the pump room never came out and the ladder is the only access, he said. Hillard said he once was helping move supplies when a telephone that was reportedly disconnected kept ringing. "The phone rang and I answered it. This time there was a faint voice calling, `Help! Help! I'm on the sixth deck!' Rumor had it that a crew member was killed down there. I'm very scared to go down there alone. If I do, I get out of there as fast as I can," Hillard said. Others are dubious. "I think it's the guys' imagination," said Senior Chief Petty Officer James Williams. "I'm not superstitious but when I go down there by myself, I find it uneasy. When that happens, your imagination is going to play tricks on you."

Excuse me, people of Tumblr, may I ask if you know of a paranormal show on Netflix or Hulu where it follows a ghost that haunts their killer and there's someone else that can see/hear the ghost who needs to prove that the killer killed someone?

Death To The Curse - Wattpad/Inkitt.
"I'm going to miss pretending to be a regular human being." She says quietly as I lean against a tree behind her. She's been doing this for 30 years, and I know that it's all she'd ever wanted. To be human and have a family of her own. I wanted that too. With her.
"Hopefully, if we get this right, you can go back to doing that when we're finished."
"And if we don't get it right?" She asks, leaning back on her hands, and turning her head to look at me. "What if he kills us before we manage to kill him?"
"Then at least we'd be gone together this time," I say.
She smiles, "Together until the end?"
"Until hell, we descend," I promise, one we'd made years ago when we were living a life of hell. It was our way of promising to stick by each other's side, no matter what. Our own version of a pinkie promise. But Zara's promises didn't hold much worth anymore. She'd broken them time and time again. I just pray to God she didn't break this one too.
Here's a preview from Chapter Four of Death To The Curse. I post my stories on Wattpad and Inkitt. The links to these are here in this post.

The Black-Eyed Kids as a Modern Fairy Legend
Tumblr media
Read on my website, if you want.
When talking to people who don't believe in the Good People, one argument I hear a lot is "well if they were real, there would be modern stories about them!" On one hand, there are very much modern stories explicitly about the Good People in countries like Ireland. But I personally suspect that a lot of modern American "cryptid" and "alien abduction" legends may actually be stories of Fairy.
Think about it. Human society has changed so much in the last 300 years -- it would make sense for the Good People to have changed as well. In medieval stories, They typically have a society and level of technology that is similar to humans. It would make sense, then, that modern stories about the Good People would deal less with knights and ballrooms and more with modern themes.
(If you aren't familiar with the Good People, and if you're wondering why I call them that instead of using the f-word, check out my previous posts about basic rules for interacting with them and busting some common misconceptions.)
One of my favorite example of a modern urban legend with strong parallels to classic Fairy stories is the story of the Black-Eyed Children or Black-Eyed Kids. This is a modern American legend about paranormal creatures that look like young children, and it has surprising similarities to classic stories of visits from the Good People.
I first learned about the Black-Eyed Kids (or BEK, as it's sometimes written online) from the Astonishing Legends podcast, but most of my information about them for this post came from the book The Chilling, True Terror of the Black-Eyed Kids by G. Michael Vasey. (This may not be the best book on the subject, but it's the one I had access to for free.) In that book, Vasey points out that most BEK stories follow a very similar formula. That formula is:
The "victim" is at home late at night, either alone or with others in the house, when there is a knock at the door. When the victim opens the door, they see two (or sometimes more) children, usually between the ages of 6 and 16. Seeing these children triggers a fear response, and some people report feeling their heart pound and/or wanting to run away. The children quietly but insistently ask to come inside. Their reason for needing to come inside changes, but a one I've personally heard several times is that they need to use the phone.
It's usually at this point in the story that the victim looks at the children's eyes and sees that they're solid black, with no whites or irises. This usually makes the victim feel even more freaked out, and they slam the door in the kids' faces and wait for them to leave.
In some versions of the story, the kids seem to be incorporeal -- for example, they don't leave footprints and don't seem to feel heat or cold. They sometimes seem to have the ability to control or compel their victims, and people report finding it difficult to look away from them. Sometimes they're only seen and heard by the person who opens the door to them, even if other people are in the room. Sometimes electricity flickers on and off around them, and electronics might stop working. There are also stories of black-eyed adults who accompany the children or act on their own, but these are less common.
Encounters with the Black-Eyed Kids seem to be mostly a US thing, but there have been a few reported sightings in other places. The first story of the BEK was written by Texas reporter Brian Bethel in 1998. There are stories of black-eyed creatures that are much older, but the modern BEK formula doesn't appear until Bethel's story.
I want to compare the BEK formula to a story of the Good People from England. The Green Children of Woolpit were a young boy and girl who appeared in the village of Woolpit in the mid 12th century. Their skin was green, and they spoke a strange language. One of the village families took the children in, but they refused to eat anything except fava beans. They eventually learned to eat other foods and their skin lost its green color. The children were baptized, and the boy became sick and died.
There are some obvious parallels between the Green Children and the Black-Eyed Kids. In both stories, two children appear alone, without an adult. Both sets of children have a physical feature that is an unusual color, marking them as inhuman. Both sets of children speak strangely -- the Green Children spoke a strange language, and Black-Eyed Kids are described as speaking in a very monotone voice and using odd words.
There are also obvious differences. The Green Children weren't malicious, and they wandered into our world accidentally. The Black-Eyed Kids seem to have sinister intentions. There's no account of the Green Children needing permission to enter a building. And, as far as I'm aware, there are no accounts of Black-Eyed Kids becoming sick or dying (but then again, I don't think anyone has tried to baptize them).
Keep in mind that the Green Children of Woolpit are only one of many stories of the Good People, and that Fairy is a diverse and complex world filled with many different types of beings. Some of the other details of BEK stories can be explained by looking to other folklore.
First, let's look at the inherently sinister nature of these beings and the fear they inspire in humans. As I've said in previous posts, not all of the Good People are good to humans. There are many, many stories of them preying on us, and some types of Good People seem to be especially anti-human. (Unseelie Court, anyone?) It's possible that the BEK are a particularly predatory type of Good People.
The need for permission to enter also fits with established folklore. While it's not universal, there are stories of Good People who needed to be invited in before they could enter. This trope also shows up in stories of other otherwordly creatures, like vampires.
The black eyes also fit the old lore. While green and red are the most common colors to see on the Good People, especially in the British Isles, black is also sometimes associated with them. Black Dogs are a famous example, and the Cat Sidhe are also said to have black fur. In their book Fairies: A Guide to the Celtic Fair Folk, Morgan Daimler says that, "Black is generally speaking an ill-omened color. To see a fairy wearing black was an omen of death, although not necessarily for the person seeing it."
Although some of the Good People can look fully human, their human forms often have a single weird or disturbing trait that gives them away. Strange eye colors are a common giveaway. Black eyes might imply that these beings are especially dangerous or deadly.
(A lot of folks, including Vasey, theorize that the black eyes mean these beings are demonic in nature. However, Black-Eyed Kid stories are not consistent with demon lore in any religion I'm familiar with. I think this theory probably comes from people with a strict Christian worldview making reaches to fit everything into that worldview.)
The effects the BEK reportedly have on their victims supports the theory that they are an especially dangerous/anti-human type of Good Person. People who see them report feeling drained, as if their energy was stolen. Some people even report dizzy spells and nosebleeds.
There are several types of Good People who feed on human life energy. The Scottish Baobhan Síth consume this energy by drinking blood or eating hearts. Goblins are sometimes described as draining the life of humans, as in Christina Rosetti's poem "Goblin Market." The Irish Leannán Sí (literally "Fairy lover") drain vitality from their human lovers until they die.
The Leannán Sí are especially interesting when compared to the Black-Eyed Kids. They take the form of beautiful women to lure in prey. It would make sense for a similar being to use the form of a child the same way.
Another interesting note is that most BEK stories take place between midnight and sunrise -- a time when the Good People are said to be especially active.
Obviously, there's no way to say if the BEK are real or just an early creepypasta. And even if they are real, there's no way for us to know who or what they are. But I always think it's interesting to find the threads of older folklore in modern urban legends.
What do you think? Are the Black-Eyed Kids a modern evolution of the Good People? Are they demons? Aliens? Extra-dimensional beings? Or just a fun, spooky story for the Internet age?

A gracious twilight to you, Parareaders,
I hate saying this word. I know it’s superstition. But it makes me uncomfortable in my bones. But then. Last night. My partner said it. Skin Walker. I was relaying a story to them- not saying the actual word- and they said it. To clarify. They aren’t as superstitious as I am- opposites attract and all that. (They are a sweet golden retriever type)
I tell them that it creeps me out to say the word. But my partner reminds me that we aren’t in skin Walker territory. Joking that that’s the only reason that we’re safe from them.
Those stories haunt me. Ones of loved ones that aren’t quite right. Pets that don’t respond to you- that stand erect. I can’t stomach it. Those nightmares come real.
Have any of you had an encounter?
Creep it real my Parareaders. Stay safe out there.

Small children are really freaky... My Niece was dancing around today being giddy because she was excited about rainbow club. Good mood and hyper.
Then she stopped dead. Burst into tears, and said that she saw a ghost. My Dad couldn't settle her at all, and she wouldn't go back in the hall. My Dad was like I do not see a ghost. To which my Niece replies, "he's invisible to you,"
I had to come down and settle her by telling her she can tell ghosts to go away, and that ghosts can't hurt her.
Now another interesting titbit about my house, once I caught a man with dosing rods just outside my garden, on chatting to him. He said that the path from the Roman fort near my house, lead straight through my house and garden.
It is a little interesting.
And not the only freaky thing my Niece has done. When she was younger she used to talk about the "silver and white man" waking her up in the night.
Not at all creepy...

Brown's Family Demon.
Case #001
Part 2
The Investigation
As night approaches,I prepared everything for the investigation while Brown's family stay on their Motel. Knowing that this might be a dangerous investigation, I contacted my friend to help me on the investigation. Just as we about to start,...
*Bang*
An unexplainable loud bang can be heard upstairs right inside Annie's room. With no time to waste, we quickly start the investigation on her room. We conduct an EVP session. We asked few questions and wait for the answers. Here is our dialogue.
"Is there anyone in here?",asked me.
.....
"Is there something malevolent in this house?",asked Ken,a friend of mine who helped me in this investigation.
.....
"Is there someone here that you want to harm? If there is, who is it?",asked Sarah, who is also a friend of mine.
.....
*Doors slams*
"Was that you that slammed the door?",I asked.
.....
With the asking questions is over, time to listen back on our recording.
For the first question I asked if there is something/someone here, the answer I get is:
"Yes...",a deep voice says yes.
Ken asked if there is something malevolent terrorizing inside the house. The answer he gets:
"Why...asked...if you know...the answer".
That response just sent a chill to our body. Now we know that this is not an ordinary spirit but a demonic one. Sarah asked if there is someone inside the house that the demon want to harm. Here is what we captured:
"Her..."
In that moment we confused. Who was the person that it mentioned. We thought that it might be Emma but I think it probably want to harm Annie as the girl is being attacked physically before.
As we reviewed back the last recording,we heard some footsteps coming at downstairs. Knowing the activity is becoming more active,we conduct a session known as Estes Method.
Ps: Estes Method is a way where one person is blindfolded while wearing headsets that were connected on a spirit box. The person will completely blind a d only hear everything they hear on the spirit box. While the other person will asking question. Spirits will answer the question by the person who is blindfolded. This method is always get used by Sam And Colby. Estes Method is more effective when doing it on a rocking chair.
So Sarah is be the one that will be blindfolded while Ken and me will asking questions for the demon. We know that Estes Method is more effective when using it on a rocking chair,so we use a rocking chair on Annie's room and started the session.
"Are you a demon that terrorizing people that lived here?", I asked.
"Yes...I am...",Sarah replied. It means the thing that we were facing here is demon.
"Who is she? The person you mentioned by 'her', was it Annie the little girl?",Ken asked.
Sarah is shocked by what she heard. She find it really creepy. "I just heard a deep laugh...it says...You...have...find...out".
Ken and I started to stare each other with shocked face as the demon answer clearly says that we have find out it's meaning. This possibly meaning Annie is in danger.
"What the fuck?!", Ken is shocked as he saw a dark shadow figure passing outside Annie's room. "Dude. I swear I just saw a dark shadow figure passing outside this room". From Ken's face I know that he really does saw something.
"Did you captured it on camera?",I asked. He nodded meaning he captured it.
"Stop...",Sarah speaks.
"Stopped what? Was that you that Ken saw outside?", I asked.
All of sudden Sarah jumps and quickly take off the blindfold and the headsets. "Oh my god. Oh my god",she scream.
"What is wrong?",Ken asked.
Sarah then explained what she heard. She said that she heard a growl and some voice told her to get out. This is a shocking evidence we got so far. Just as we about to continue it, my emf reader shows some high spikes while I pointed it at the closets. This is not normal. Mostly it will spikes to green but this time it turns to red. We immediately get out of the room as we begin to feel our head spinning.
The investigation was about to get more violent as I get a phone call from Simon Brown.
"Kaizo! Help us!",he said in panicked.
"Mr. Brown what happened?",I asked him.
"Annie. She got crazy and starts harming people. I...I think...the demon possessed her!", he screams.
