Rwby :The Little Prince death of the Rose

It was a few months ago I read a few The Little Prince story's an other different versions of it and a few of the versions I got to read that I could find in some of the stories the Rose that The Little Prince love and cares for dies and one story The Rose couldn't wait for the Little Prince anymore and just wilted away and in another she sacrificed herself but in some of the story towards the end of the story she comes back to life

or she starts to regrow from a new life and then in Rwby we actually see that happening with Ruby herself

since she is the Rose in Oscar's Little Prince story and Ruby did technically die in the show and now we're seeing Ruby try to regrow as the person she wants to be enough to be even though she still holding back with certain things as we could see in the Rwby x Justice League movie part 2

And and I think we'll see Ruby regrow but she needs to open up to people and I think one of the people should open up to first is Oscar since he's always really noticed how long she's felt sure the others notice it now but they seem more panicked and don't really seem like they know how to approach the subject with Ruby

without feeling a bit upset and I know it'll probably lead to a few misunderstandings but they'll work everything out but Ruby's just going to need somebody she can talk to that's going to be direct and at the same time having understanding of how confused she is about everything and about not wanting to be herself or feeling like she's not enough and the best person she could probably talk to right now is Oscar another person she could have talked to is Penny but well she sadly not here because

I feel like a lot of rubies ark that she went through in volume 9 parallels with Penny went through and volume seven and eight and I like that the writers did that where we showed that even though Penny's not here Ruby has some parallels with her closest and best friend and now she's going to have more parallels with someone else she's close to who's a friend or possibly will be more than that to her later on

I’ll fix you

Summary: Unable to move on, Ruby tries everything to fix the one thing she can’t leave broken.

It felt like being electrified, walking back through without Weiss. For a split moment, she felt her heart become ice and she was grateful. Seeing Weiss fall from that cloud, it already felt like she was dead, but when her heart stopped she knew she was.

And then it started again.

The moment of peace had been so quick, Ruby nearly thought she’d made the entire thing up. Weiss was fine, she hadn’t fallen. They had crossed over together, made it safely to Vacuo, and had escaped Salem.

But now, Ruby was standing in the desert city alone, and she knew it had been a mistake. The minute she landed, she turned back towards the direction she had come, going back to Atlas, to Weiss. She just couldn’t leave her, she had to find her.

Her lip immediately began to tremble as she widely searched for her body, searching for anyone. “Weiss!” she screamed, waiting for a reply she knew wouldn’t come.

On wobbly legs, she stood slowly, looking around. Penny was only a few steps behind her, cheeks flushed, breathing hard.

“What happened?” she asked, followed by a cough.

Ruby shook her head and looked around again. “Where?” she whispered, wrapping her hands around her middle. Her legs were unable to continue to hold her, and she fell to her knees. “Where did she go?”

She couldn’t feel her.

No matter how hard she tried, no matter how much she pushed her magic, draining her energy, she couldn't find her.

They were soultied, Ruby was convinced, always had been. And now she felt a little piece of it missing. Weiss had been intertwined with hers, inseparable, as if they were one. Now the string was cut, and she felt hollow; like half of her was missing.

Attempting to keep the tears at bay, she took a shaky breath, pressing her hand atop Weiss’s forehead.

“I can’t feel you,” she whispered, shocked at how cold her skin felt. Why was she so cold? “I can’t feel you, Princess.”

A part of her wanted to pick up Crescent Rose and keep dragging Weiss’s body to each and every city, demanding that someone help her, help them, because accepting that Weiss was truly gone?

Impossible.

Ruby pulled her hand away, unable to keep touching her, before spinning on her heel and walking out. She had barely entered her bedroom before the first sob rang out of her mouth. Fingers shaking, she grabbed her scroll, dialing in a number she swore she’d never use. She waited, tears flowing as it rang, inhaling sharply when he picked up.

“Ruby?” Oscar answered immediately. “What's wrong?”

She almost laughs at the fact that he knows something is wrong, that she only calls him when something is terribly wrong.

“S-sorry,” she hiccuped into the receiver. “I didn’t know who else to call.”

“S’okay,” Oscar sounded tired on the other end. “Any…luck?”

“As bad as you can assume,” she sighed, wiping at her eyes. “No one can bring her back. I’ve tried everything, and without the relics I… it feels so pointless.” Ruby clutched the scroll harder. “What do I do?”

Oscar, like everyone, had been against Ruby's want to resurrect her girlfriend. They said it was unnatural, that it was going against the course of nature, that she needed to stop before she did something she would regret.

“You let her go.” Oscar says and the emotion has been pulled from his voice. “You bury her, you grieve, and you let her go. And if you can't do that?” he sighs, pausing. “Then lose my number.”

Normally, this response would have stung, but Ruby knew everyone was just tired. They didn't get it, and how could they? They hadn't been loved by Weiss.

“I can’t.” Ruby said simply.

“It’s been months!” Oscar snaps through the phone. “Bury. Her. Winter will tire of this, she has the right to arrest you for abuse of a fucking corpse at this point.”

Ruby swallows, glancing over at the table where Weiss’s body lay. Even dead, she was so beautiful. Ruby didn't see the brittle hair, the bloated skin, the judding bones. She didn’t notice the sickly leak of fluids from Weiss’s ears and nose, and she had long gotten used to the smell, to the tangy scent of decay.

Weiss was beautiful, even in death.

When Ruby doesn’t respond, Oscar sighs again. “I can’t have this argument with you again Ruby, I can't. Call me when she’s buried.” he says, before adding. “And once you’ve cleaned. She's starting to stink.”

Ruby throws her scroll, ignoring the cracking sound it makes when it hits the wall. She paces to Weiss’s side, and gently strokes her hair with the tips of her fingers.

“Don’t listen to him,” Ruby whispers. “You’re beautiful. And I’ll fix you, just you wait. I’ll fix you.”
