Hey guys! I just finished Chapter 3 of my She-Ra fanfic. It's a Breakfast Club AU (the 1980s movie)

I hope you enjoy reading it and any feedback is appreciated since this is my first time posting a fic publicly but please don't be really harsh, I'm no professional in any sense of the word and just doing this for fun and to improve my own writing skills :)

My friend (who is not on social media, alas) made me the absolute cutest art of one of my early fics, a short set in early Season One where Bow patches Glimmer up after she gets injured on a mission. While they are both in their underwear for the entire fic, I assure you it is perfectly wholesome Teen rated antics.

Entrapdak Positivity Month - Download

Entrapta was both super excited as the test code ran and gave zero errors. It had taken months of work but she was finally on the cusp of having universal translator.

Sure others had been made before but they were clunky and unwealdy. This one was super comfortable wearable tech and powered by rechargeable First Ones tech. She wasn’t sure yet if it was a good idea to advertise that said First Ones tech recharged by leaching energy off the wearer… eh that was something Future Entrapta could worry about. To be honest most people never cared much about ethical nature of tech anyway, so she should be fine if she hid that detail in the tiny small print somewhere in the terms of service. At least one of her mass marketed products did include a clause which allowed her to call upon a user to be part of a human centipede. If she ever ran out of First One’s tech to play with she would be sure to try that.

Her ever faithful Lab Partner Hordak just smiled as she placed the prototype collar on him, plugged in a cable and downloaded the error free program. He could tell she was stifling an evil laugh.

“It’s just linguistics Darling”

“Sorry”, she giggled, “force of habit”

She scrutinised her computer screen as the download reached 98%. If something was going to go wrong that was the time and even Hordak knew it as his pupils-less eyes darted back and forth between her and the screen.

For once nothing blew up and the download completed successfully. Entrapta sighed in relief as she removed the cable and the program installed into the collar.

“How do you feel?” She inquired, as she watched the collar light up indicating a successful install

“No different” came the response

She smiled. Although Hordak was a man of few words (and she of many) he refused to let her be the first test subject for her own safety.

“Hordak, Sweety, I’m going to need you to work with me on this. Ramble on about something anything”

“Okay”, He paused for a second, “you know those sausage rolls, the nice ones-“

The collar lit up as he continued

“D’ye be alreet. Whit ever is th' kinch, tis fixed wi' thae. Ye ken ah wonder howfur ah ever leed wi'oot a Gregg’s in mah lee. Or you...actually ye. Dae dae ken a loue ye mair than Gregg's rolls richt?”

Entrapta looked horrified, her face a mix of emotions from this assault on her eardrums as Hordak continued his rambling

“Whit's th' kinch Starlight?” he paused before continuing “Ah tis this wee thing. It seems it wirks, 'n' brilliantly. Och yer sae clever mah dear. Th' maist stoatin 'n' brightest mynd in th' galaxy It's aboot time tae ca' -”

“WE’RE DONE HERE!” she yelped as she slammed the power button on the device with all her might.

im slowly going to up load all my fan comics there. theres only a few comics up so far but check it out! im going to start with my older comics so now is a great time to read things you may have missed in an organized way.

im also going to be adding image descriptions as i go. if you use a screen reader i would really appreciate it if you could tell me if theyre working since i dont know how to read them after i post them. would it be helpful to add them to the notes too? idk

My Response to a Rude Comment - Fandom Etiquette and Entitlement

The first comment I got on my latest update of Vessels of Wrath was an alleged unregistered A03 left a rude comment, and not the first of its kind that I have received. It was deeply discouraging to me as someone who creates in their free time, so I decided to respond. I am sharing here in case it is helpful to other creators who face the same issue.

I would just like to express my thanks for supporting me and my writing and I would like to reiterate what they said. As someone who has been reading and engaging with fanfiction since 2013, I assume that you understand we do this for free and for fun. I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you are a student and might not understand that many of us fanfic writers and fanartists work regular 9-5 jobs to support ourselves. Fanfiction is something we do in the limited free time that we have. Believe me, there is nothing I would like more than to sit down and spend eight/nine hours a day working on, planning, drafting, editing, rewriting, brainstorming, writing fanfiction. I already have most of this story planned and key scenes already drafted. The fact that it has taken me three months between chapters one and two should show just how much work I, and other writers put into our stories.

I believe you when you say that you meant no offense, and as someone who spends just as much time reading fic as I do writing it, I understand asking about updates. I've asked about them myself from authors I've enjoyed! There is this soulmate AU that is one chapter long that I have kept bookmarked for a year now and periodically check back to see if it has updated so I understand wanting to know when another chapter is coming. I am grateful for your excitement and I am so glad you enjoyed the fic. Here are some things to consider however, for next time you want to leave a similar comment on someone's work:

1) If I knew when I'd be posting the next chapter, I would tell you. I would put that directly in the notes section at the end. I specifically do not have an update schedule because A) This is not my professional job, B) that puts stress on the writer and fanfic writing should be enjoyable not a source of stress. C) I don't want to let my readers down! I would never want a situation where I say "Next chapter coming in a month!" and then something like this happens where I get a new job and things have to be pushed back and I let fans down without an update. It has happened before and it is not a good feeling for anyone. If I ever do post about an update it will only be when I am putting finishing touches on editing and I am positive it can be posted when I say it will be.

2) Golden Rule: Treat others the way you want to be treated. Put yourself in the other person's shoes! Would you like it if you spent three months planning, editing, drafting, revising a lengthy chapter, finally posted it, and the first feedback you got was along the lines of "when is the next one coming?" Without any comment about the actual content of the chapter, the story itself, the characters, or anything that piqued your interest other than a demand for more. Consider thinking twice or at least tell the writer things you liked about the fic, what drew you to it etc. before you ask for updates. It is extremely discouraging in part because it reads as: "what you worked on here is not good enough, I want more."

Again, I do thank you for your interest and for reading! I always say comments keep me going. I don't think you meant anything malicious by it at all, I don't think you're a "bad-fan," but I want to be honest and transparent with you about the community of creators you have engaged with for so long as a fan. We are not professionals, we do not owe you the amount of time or energy or promises for content as creators who are getting paid as their livelihood to do this. What I mean by that is you would not be commenting on ND Stevenson's work in that manor, and he is paid to do it, so please do not say things like that to us as fanfic writers and fan artists.

Thanks again for your interest in this story! I really do hope I can post chapter 3 sooner than this update, and I will do my best, (I already have it outlined), but again I do not commit to an updating schedule in case things change. To everyone who has followed this Glitra romp thus far, you have my deepest heartfelt thanks. Thank you for this community, for rallying for me when I felt discouraged and for providing an educational opportunity to fans who make these sorts of comments, well-intentioned or not. It truly makes me feel like I belong and have a place in this fandom and people in my corner. You are who I write for. You keep me going. This is going to be a wild ride, and I am excited to share it with you. All I ask is for your patience in return and I of course extend that courtesy to you all as well. <3

OMG VampRavenWolf (or VRW) brainrot is real and I also agree with like 99% of your Headcanons, like legit the only thing that I don't like is the whole mommy and daddy thing in a non-sexual siting (so basically 100% agree) (Wednesday is still baby tho.) I feel like she would call Enid Mi lupa (my wolf) and yoko mi luna (my moon) also you can not convince me that Enid doesn't 1 call Wednesday my raven in Greek and 2 didn't teach yoko greek so she could also say it (Greek is to Wednesday as french is to gomez)

But yeah, sorry for the ramble maybe I'll send another ask with a fan fic sometime about this but I'm low-key just gonna watch Wednesday or Shera for the 10th time lol, anyways love your work and keep at it the brain rot is real

Umm... I tried, but it didn't come out all that funny imo.

I did pull off a humorous story in Sailor Moon, but it's not to the level of crack.

If Alya could give me a lot of things that I need, I think I could give Kagami a lot of things that she needs. Someone who can listen, loves the bluntness, lots of patience, cooing over her art, just acceptance for exactly who she is, and we can geek out over manga together and how stupid everyone else is over boys!

R - Which friendship/platonic relationship is your favorite in fandom?

There's a lot of adorable friendships in this fandom. The characters are just so human and wholesome. And the development of the miracu-class is one of the neatest things. Like watch origins or dark cupid and you can see they pick on each other, don't get involved, have their own cliques, etc. And then fast forward to like Guilt Trip. And they're just THERE for each other. There's adorable group hugs and love it any time they have a party of the Couffaine boat. I just love them as a community that grew into a really tight knit group.

The friendship I get most excited to see developed is still Adrien&Nino though, followed closely by Alya&Marinette and the four of them in general. And I also love the chaos of Marinette&Kagami.

T - Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending?

I don't know about die to defend, but here's a few.

I hate the Luka & Juleka sibling retcon making them twins. I very much want them to be half siblings because their mom is into flings and not stable relationships. That moment when Juleka was filming Luka crying over his break up with Marinette, and doing nothing to make him feel better??? CLASSIC younger sibling!! LOVE IT!! Give it to me.

Similarly, with the huge spread of age differences in Alya's siblings, I need some of them to be step or half siblings. I headcanon Nora as a Alya's step sibling, and the twins as Alya's half siblings. I figure Nora is the daughter of her dad's second wife, and the siblings are the product of her mother's second husband.

I very much see Adrien as asexual or demisexual, especially when his love/attraction/admiration for Ladybug is contrasted with Marinette drooling over an ad. Haha! He could also be autistic, but he also doesn't necessarily have to be, but I enjoy reading autistic Adrien a lot.

Hardly unique to my head, but Marinette definitely reads as ADHD.

Y - What are your secondhand fandoms (i.e., fandoms you aren’t in personally but are tangentially familiar with because your friends/people on your dash are in them)?

More than a few!

Fandoms that I am a fan of, but do not consider myself to have ever been IN the fandom and often love to see running across my dash and will even read fic for: ATLA, SpyxFamily, The Owl House, Dragon Prince, Good Omens, Harry Potter, Zelda - BotW

Howdy, so last year I made an ArcanexShera mashup cosplay (basically just Adora in Caitlyns outfit and Catra in Vis outfit) (also it’s my damn profile pic) however I wanted to make a fanfic for this (it would be an au fic not like “rehashing the arcane story but with Shera characters” if that makes Any sense at all 🤷‍♀️) (mostly cause I’m not a huge fan of writing those but that’s besides the point)

In the next installment of The Outlaws of the Whispering Woods, Catra's been missing for days and Glimmer still has no idea of her status or how many of her secrets Horde Prime learned when he activated her chip.

But when Catra reappears looking worse for wear and charged with prepping Glimmer for a special dinner with his lordship, Prime tightens the noose for Bow and Adora, setting a trap to eliminate the outlaws once and for all.
