Summary: Miyeon thought that everything was going well with you two but she starts questioning that when you suddenly started keeping distance with her.

3rd's POV

You always wanted to be an idol but your parents were against it. They gave you an ultimatum "If you pass an audition for any company within 2 years, we'll allow it" and despite being rejected again and again by various different companies, Cube was the one that accepted you forcing your parents to keep their end of the deal.

During your time as a trainee you became incredibly close with Miyeon and Soyeon as they were the ones who first took care of you there so when you found out that you were gonna debut with them, you were overjoyed. During preparations for your debut you got close with all the members but still Miyeon and Soyeon were the closest to you, especially Miyeon with who you were inseparable.

It didn't change even years after your debut. Your fans often said that you two were married with how you were always together, even going on variety shows together. You would often laugh at comments like that, you liked being together. Miyeon's presence was comforting for you while Miyeon just loved talking with you and having you there. Both of you always knew of your feelings for each other but you never had the need to make it official.

The kind of relationship where you were so sure of the other feelings that you weren't afraid that someone else would come and steal one of you away.

You both decided to make it official during the Oh My God promotions. Miyeon was the one who asked you to be her girlfriend and who were you to reject her? Ever since then you were in a happy relationship that all your members supported and were happy that you guys managed to love each other in this tough industry.

Now back to Queencard era.

Your relationship wasn't public, you wanted to make an official statement about it but your company was against it, telling you that it'll be better to just keep it away from the media and your fans. You didn't liked to lie to your fans like that but there was nothing you could do.

The promotions of your new album were going great, people loved it and bought albums, watched the content that came with it and all but it was just not enough to take your company's attention away from the rumors about you and Miyeon dating. They didn't wanted people to know so they were thinking about how to make you and Miyeon look less in love and after thinking about it for a while, they decided to tell you to start keeping your distance with her, something that you've never done before.

You knew that you could get kicked out for not following what they told you to do so you had no choice.

You started hanging out with Soyeon and Yuqi more, the only members that you told about this whole ordeal despite your company telling you to not tell anyone. Soyeon was furious with the company, they always had to butt in where they weren't wanted or needed just to destroy all the good things happening in your lives. Unfortunately she couldn't do anything other than to just write a hateful song about them for their next album.

It was hard, keeping yourself away from Miyeon. At first it was only in public but when she started questioning your behavior and tried to ask you about it, you started avoiding her a little behind closed doors too, leaving her even more confused. She started thinking that maybe she did something but when she was not able to figure out what happened, she started thinking that maybe you did something and you were scared to tell her.

Whatever it was Miyeon needed answers because she had enough of the uncertainty in your relationship. She wanted to have you back by her side.

She tried talking to you but with no luck. Frustrated she decided to drink something but in the kitchen she heard Soyeon and Yuqi's conversation. She wasn't the type to eavesdrop but she couldn't help it after she heard yours and her names.

"I feel bad for them but can't Y/N just tell about the whole distance thing to Miyeon?"

"It would risk the company finding out that she told her, it's better to keep it up for a little while longer"

"Maybe you're right... it's a hard situation"

Distance thing? Something with company? Did your company told you to keep something secret from her?

Quickly walking to Shuhua's room, Miyeon could only think about what the hell did Cube told you to do and keep a secret. She knew that you will be there with Shuhua since the maknae asked you for help with something. Storming into the room, she startled both of you. You and Shuhua quickly look at who just decided to scare you and when you saw an angry Miyeon, a fear settled in you.

You were fucked. There was no running away from her now.

Sensing the tension in the air, Shuhua decided to quietly evacuate from the room to go and call Soojin. You gulped when Miyeon looked from her and over to you, her eyes full of rage that you weren't sure was directed at you or something else but honestly you were scared to find out. Miyeon may be a caring sweetheart but when she was mad then she was scary as hell.

No one wanted to anger Miyeon but now you did it and you were praying for your life.

You knew that this conversation had to be done in order to keep your relationship. You had to be honest with her "Mind explaining to me why you're avoiding me? Did I do something?" You shook your head and when you were about to tell her the truth, her next words shocked you "Then what is it? Are you cheating on me?" At that you quickly stood up and walked over to her, taking her hands into your own. At first she was surprised with it but she soon melted when she finally was able to feel your touch.

"No! Baby I'm not cheating on you. I know that it may look like this to you but I would never cheat. The truth is our company told me to keep my distance with you and for some reason forbidden me from telling you. I hated every day of it but you know how they are, there is no reasoning with them. I was scared that if I told you, they would find out and kicked out me or you even. I would hate for you to lose your whole career like that" You told her everything. You knew that if you wanted her to believe you then you had to be fully honest with her and not leave anything out of the story.

Miyeon thought over your words carefully. Honestly she wasn't surprised that Cube did it, it was expected that they would always complicate everything. And seeing you as you were pretty much in a situation with no escape, Miyeon couldn't be mad at you, instead she was angry at herself that she wasn't aware of your silent suffering. Without any other words Miyeon connected your lips in a kiss, pulling you closer to her. Your arms instinctively wrapped around her neck as hers were placed on your hips, squeezing them a little from time to time. Both of you enjoyed the kiss, only now realizing how actually badly you missed it.

When you ran out if air, you pulled away from Miyeon, her forehead leaned on your own as you stared into each other's eyes, holding each other, knowing that no matter what happens you will always stay together.

- its not that his parents didn’t celebrate his birthday at all its just,,, it was usually a small affair with influential PTA members and their kids. in other words, no one zeke got along with. very much a “seen not heard” while the grown ups sip mimosas type deal

- and of course zeke does everything in service of disappointing his parents so!!! its party time

- honestly u could try to throw a surprise party but good fucking luck this man is snoopy as all hell. every time ur out just a little too long with pieck or porco (they’re bickering over how early to buy balloons) he’s got u on the horn like “i know ur planning something”. would never accuse u of cheating bc he fully believes his own hype and knows u wouldnt DARE cheat on Adonis Himself (Narcissus more like but w/e)

- so yeah he’s probably at least a little involved in the planning of it all, wants to backseat drive because hes “not a loser who plans his own birthday party”. sending u screenshots from his notes app with his favorite colors, songs, what cake he wants, etc. lowkey insufferable

- day comes and you’ve rented out the kid’s bday party section of a bowling alley/arcade and filled it with every friend you can think of that isn’t vaguely shitty or hasn’t been burned by zeke in some way. so like… maybe 10 people, gabi and the kids included so they have a believable cover story if the staff asks who the party’s for. not that they’d care but zeke loves to play like he’s so sNeAkY and sHiFty by telling everyone it’s a party for udo or something.

- played with the idea of him getting a devil’s food cake and reiner getting an angel’s food cake for the lolz but he’s not sharing a party on his life so. coffee cake 100%, both because he likes it and because the kids don’t, which means more to take home. schemer that he is

- does ask for gifts but is pretty insistent about it being under 20 dollars (so he can see who overspent and ACTUALLY loves him. male manipulator). falco gets him an officially licensed sock monkey and he cries (pussy). whispering to u after that if his parents ever die horribly he’ll adopt him

- heading to the connected arcade after and, second verse same as the first, he kills at skee ball. breaks the record on each machine one after the other just to show off, gets all smirky holding the wad of tickets, talking about how he “does it all for uuuuu” and gives u the wettest sloppiest kiss on the cheek just to embarrass u

- does actually give u all his winnings tho. the high score, the posterity, the want to be remembered,,, the ego boost is enough, u can have the 2100 ticket pikachu plush <3 (u will never hear the end of this. i pity u)

- def gets home with his leftover dessert in hand and gifts in bags on his wrist, smile more genuine than usual. opening the door and letting u in, gifts and food quickly forgotten in lieu of giving you a proper thank you for helping put all this together

- 100% squeezing ur ass and asking if there’s any leftover cake for him, knowing it’ll make u roll your eyes but that you��ll relent bc the cheese is part of the charm (and boy when he gets that treat he asked for? he EATS)

- something something something same birthday complete opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of how they celebrate it

- wants his bday to be a nice quiet affair with the people he loves most, his little found family and maybe karina if hes feeling generous that year

- if u plan a party in any capacity hes gotta be part of the action! wants to hang streamers, balloons, any little things you decide on to spruce up your place for the event (please don’t call it an event he can’t handle the pressure)

- also u can’t have a cookout bday bc he will insist on working the grill the whole time. shark coded, will drown if he isn’t doing something

- the party itself is extremely laidback, feels more like a big hangout. ordering 3 of his favorite type of pizza, bringing out beanbags and comfy chairs from other parts of the house so everyone can sit in the living room together. gabi and falco take the tv hostage to play video games and colt and bertholdt somehow get roped into it. it’s raucous, but comfortable.

- u and gabi collab on a homemade cake, but reiner is the baker in the family and gabi just likes the excuse to make a mess. end up making some easy cookies and buying a walmart sheet cake, and its a good thing, too, because just the sight of his name is enough to make him tear up. “you didn’t have to do all this” what, make a phone call to get ur name on a cake? the bar is on the floor unfortunately

- no presents because he can’t handle the pressure, but there’s a couple cards and his lip trembles over each one. zeke gets him a card that’s obviously for kids with stickers inside but he tears up at that one too because “it even comes with a little gift… so thoughtful…”

- rest of the party is spent doing more of the same, a couple beers are thrown back, maybe tosses a football around or something. very classic suburban white picket fence dream party. it brings reiner a quiet joy, one that he keeps close to his chest, a memory that he’ll look back on over and over.

- the guests start to filter out one by one until its just u and him, picking up paper plates, putting away leftovers. its all very domestic, it might actually be reiner’s favorite part. to just be with u in companionable silence, scooting around and putting the house in order. domesticity is something sacred that he never thought he’d have, and its a joy to share it with u.

- he INSISTS on sitting on the couch with u after, gives u those big eyes that he only gets when he wants u to pet his hair, falls asleep to one of his favorite comfort films with your hands on his head, totally content

- wakes up in the wee hours and carries u to bed like the big bear of a man that he is, not expecting anything of you, just wanting u to be comfortable. tucks u in and gives u a kiss like it’s your birthday or something

- and it’s not a gift bc reiner specifically requested no gifts, but if he wakes up to u wearing something special the next morning, something that leaves nothing to the imagination, i mean… maybe the party doesn’t have to be over quite yet

When Aiko eventually debuted in SKZ, and Haruto in TREASURE, they continued their friendship through interactions at award shows and dance challenges together, which evidently sparked a dating rumor. Now onto their relationship. Aiko and Jaemin became friends when Jae became a back up dancer for the group. Because of Ai's friendliness, Jaemin found himself talking to her alot, often asking her for tips and advice despite being older than her. When Jaemin made his debut in XEED, Aiko helped promote the group by doing dance challenges and posting about it on her social medias. “UGH,” you said throwing your headphones on your desk. You had just lost a match. Your entire team didn’t help you at all. They just used you as a sacrifice. You could still hear them laughing through the headphone even when you weren’t wearing them. All that because your username was based on a K-pop idol. They constantly made fun of it. & to be honest it was hard finding teammates who would back you up in matches because of it. But you never changed it. You liked it & it made you happy. It was based on your bias from your favorite group, Ni-ki from ENHYPEN. He was around your age & you loved how clean & precise his dance moves were. You loved everything about him. He made you happy. They all did.

Your thoughts were interrupted by a ‘DING!’ sound. You checked your computer & you found a message notification. “You’re an engene??” woah. This was the first time you met someone else who was a fan. Or at least you hoped it was a fan. “Yea” you replied. “Cool, so am I” “Based on your username I’m guessing your bias is Ni-ki?” you smiled, relieved that they actually were a fan & not a hater. “Yea, he’s my ult bias as well” “Woah cool” they replied. “What about you” you asked “it’s Ni-ki as well” they replied. “looks like we already have some stuff in common.” You both chatted for a while & then exchanged ig’s so you can chat. You learned he was a boy around your age. His name he said was Nicholas. He was Japanese & liked dancing & soccer. You were glad to have made an engene friend.

It became common for you guys to play together & he would always defend you from people who made fun of you. He was very nice & you both connected really well.

One day you both were just texting & he asked you,

You were so excited. You’ve been developing some feelings for Nicholas because he was always so nice to you. & he was incredibly funny. & you both had some stuff in common.

Day of the concert

You got dressed & were so excited to meet both Nicholas & Niki. Little did you know a surprise would be waiting for you.

You arrived at the venue a little earlier since first was the fan meet. You were shaking the whole time while waiting in line. You nervously gave each member your album talking to them, holding their hand & cheering them on for the concert & reminding them how much you loved them & appreciated them. You passed by all of them, giving them a smile & made it to Ni-ki. For some weird reason, he wouldn’t look at you in the eye. You thought he didn’t like you because he kept avoiding your gaze & seemed nervous.

You were a little upset at the interaction but made your way to the concert arena. You were dancing, singing waving your light stick with all the other engenes present & you had a blast. & you made a bunch of new friends which you loved. After the concert ended, while people were slowing making their way to the parking lot, you remembered Nicholas was also here. So you quickly texted him.

You looked up from your phone around you. The place was almost empty except for some staff & some people in the washrooms. Then when you looked back straight again you saw Ni-ki walking towards you. You started freaking out. Then he came close to you & told you to follow him. You just quietly went behind him. Then when you both were alone he pulled up his phone showing it to you. It was your text messages with Nicholas. That’s when you realized “Y-you’re…” “Yea” he said nervously, scratching the back of his neck. “I’m sorry I lied to you” “The staff told me that’s the only way I could make friends online” You were speechless & just tried comprehend everything. “Y/N I get it your shocked but the reason I told you was because when we used to play together I used to have so much fun. I realized I really like you” “Ni-ki I had fun too” you said smiling at him “& I realized a few weeks ago I kinda like you too” you said shyly. Ni-ki’s eyes grew wide “REALLY??!” “well then do you wanna go out for ice cream or something with me so we can get to know each other much better?” he asked nervously. “I would love that,” you said smiling.

Character Ask: Ziggy Grover

First Impression

-Definitely falling under the average green ranger stereotype of being the silly but less engaged member of the team, though that is quite alright cause he'll probably give some positivity to the team due to the state they are in via the season

How I Feel About The Character/Impression Now

-.....I love this twink and honestly me and everyone else should love him, the fact that he was in a mafia, managed to escape, gave medicine and supplies from said group to orphans in needed AND GOT OFF SCOT FREE WITH HIS TOASTER BOYFRIEND speaks volumes.

Favorite Moment

-So far has to be that scene between him and the cartel where he's got that serious face, I'll have to go back and fully complete RPM but seeing Ziggy look so cold is amazing.

Idea For A Story

-okay think of this....Ziggy as a Peter Pan type character who was reborn in another world that raises orphans or children who've passed early and they live in this alternate world with magic, at the same time he's an assassin that's teaming up with Dillon and Tenaya(who also have powers based on fairy tales) to steal ancient treasure from a tyrant king in order to rule the rule, Once Upon A Time walked so this can run.

-Ziggy/Dillon....obviously, can't have a happy twig without his grumpy muscular emo boyfriend.

-Ziggy/Scott, Ziggy/Flynn. Both these work really well in my opinion.

-Crackship idea if this crossover was ever a thing...Ziggy/Jarrod/Dillon/Casey, imagine all that chaos together with those four like(I'd pay to see a one shot of this tbh). Heck not even a crossover needed because JKP exists in the RPMverse and assuming the entire team is alive then this could fly, crazy twinks and the emo duo.

BROTPs

-Ziggy/Dr.K, honestly feel like he understands Dr.K and they are really close when it comes to hearing each other out, plus Ziggy might actually get her to enjoy some hobbies.

-Ziggy/Casey...seriously Disney fucked us over from ever getting this interaction, be happy with marvel I guess but imagine the send off you could've had.

-Ziggy/Tenaya, she needs earplugs every time he talks about Dillon...

Unpopular Opinion

-Kinda wish we got even more of a backstory for him or seen Ziggy encountering other green rangers. I feel like both him and Trip would get along quite well to be honest.

One thing I wish would/had happened in the show

-....We serious? That Jungle Fury/RPM crossover obviously because ALL THOSE INTERACTIONS AND SUCH WOULD'VE BE LEGENDARY.

-Even if he didn't end up with Dillon we should've had Ziggy kissing some guy.

-Imagine a scene of Ziggy hacking Venjix down with his axe after he found out the program's intention for Dillon, or if Venjix succeeded and Dillon died...it would've been brutal like Ziggy would be shown Venjix why the cartel kept him around🗡🗡🗡🗡🗡

Headcanons

-The RPM team technically has sentient zords because in reality they hold secret Engine Souls like their Go-Onger counterparts. This is actually a result of humanity evolving and without the vitality from Earth's nature so their animal spirits evolved into Engine Souls, thing is the team hasn't unlocked them but when they do the zords will be able to talk(a little fib of my JFAU movie arc idea with RPM cause we deserve that crossover).

-Ziggy's fingernails can turn dark green because of Venjix exposure, some humans after being exposed to the virus during their apocalypse developed small traits via their survival(Scott having sharper canines, Summer being able to detect metals for tools, Flynn when growing out his hair has white highlights and can absorb radiation, Gem and Gemma can see people's dreams and Dillon can purify dirty food and water).

-Ziggy sleeps with a huge dolphin as a pillow or just something to hold whenever he's sad. If he can't morph then he'll fill it with rocks and beat down venjix monsters with it.

-Sometimes when he would leave the dome(before the world began to return to normal) he'd walk miles until making it to the ocean since it wasn't fully destroyed and enjoyed watching the waves. Plus that spot is the only one in the world where the stars in the sky are still viewable.

-After RPM Dillon, Tenaya and Ziggy ventured out into the world to see what needed to be fixed, they built a railroad and it oddly began to glow with energy. This led to the team getting powers via trains and soul power with imagination, humanity's will to keep going(ToQger adaption), villains born from the deceased malice of humanity aim to take advantage of this world and others leading to the team having bigger stakes than last time.

CHAZ/TOBOR BRO HEADCANONS

omg. so I realised that after I drew Chaz/TOBOR content one time that i haven’t actually shared how important they are to me. erm. so I have made a silly little document of background/headcanons that could have been pages long but I didn’t want to be TOO insane.

also BIG DISCLAIMER the TOBOR headcanons and art at the bottom belong to Chiptoons on Insta/Chipt00ns on Twitter. SHE IS AMAZING and helped me to edit this doc so thank u for ur service chippy. thank you for inventing tobor mysims

They became friends because we were friends and it was like dragging our children along to a function and being like “ok now go play w the other kids” lol. lmao.

We both have OCs x canon with the robots so that's pretty much where it all started from- I probably won’t do a whole timeline at least for now but basically Makoto, Naomi (Louie’s OC) and Vivian (Chippy’s OC) would all spend time together regularly until they started inviting the bohs along

TOBOR was. a bit suspicious of Chaz at first since he had some pretty bad trust issues when it came to humans, and also because that’s usually the normal reaction to meeting Chaz, but he honestly wasn’t super phased by it. Chaz was used to people being kinda cold towards him yet also had a tendency to latch onto them anyway. Even though he spent hours actively trying to annoy him and talk about bike mechanics, which was pretty much just his attempt at being friendly and having fun- the biggest thing for TOBOR was that Chaz would never use the fact that he was a robot against him. Like he would never treat him like any less of a person, to Chaz he literally was just Some cool dude with a green head

Even when they become like Friend friends they still are surprisingly careful around eachothers’ boundaries. Tbh a lot of their relationship is built off things most people wouldn’t expect from them, as in the two scary bitch boys are actually very respectful of eachother and keep secretz and look out for the other n their bffs. It’s not OOC if we make the chars. IDGAF

They actually didn’t think they’d get as close as they did: TOBOR and Chaz essentially see eachother as brothers at this point, since they (mostly through accident) found out they had a surprising amount in common, with the way people kinda assumed stuff about them beforehand and were not the nicest . Chaz considers him one of his best friends bc he is CRINGE and is still constantly out to annoy him but at this point TOBOR just effortlessly shows him up. Chaz also likes to bully him on account of he hearts Vivian and you know what who doesn’t. They both got parental issues too which they also kinda relate to each other with; sometimes there will be stuff between them that they tease eachother for RELENTLESSLY, but if anyone else were to bring it up at all they would be killed within the second. TOBOR tends to stick up for Chaz a lot since he is more naïve and struggles to see when people are actually trying to upset him instead of just being Chaz Haterz for fun. Defending people and having their backs is his love language.

There is also a whole thing in the future with him/Makoto being more closely associated with the Delarosarenas but I don’t want to overshare or b cringe but Kerry literally adores TOBOR and the fact he loves cooking :> he simply IS her new son and she displays interest in hiring him one day. If the lab thing doesn’t work out. Which it is not. Again they r like BROTHERS make no mistake we do not ship them.

{Mile pretty sums it up for him, when she was still part of the UFG's rescue unit she found a large house that was caved in she could already tell there were dead bodies in there, the smell gave it away... But what she wasn't expecting was the sound of baby crying.

Mile was in a panic as she dug into the rubble before finding a small niche where the body of a woman lay her bottom half was crushed under the rubble, but a few inches away; just out of her outstretched arms reach was baby boy covered in dust and scrapes, Mile carefully picked up the baby up and got him to the medics but a few days later she couldn't get the kid out of her head she checked in on him and found his entire family was wiped out.]

Leo: The whole family?

Mile: Yeah, it was some kind of family event and that's why they all there in one place, and then I took Kouki home.

Mile: Nayaka was soo against it. She said "Milene, we hardly know how to look after ourselves, what makes you think that you can take care of a baby?!" we didn't talk to each other for a while after that, we both used Akari to spy on each other, until she got sick of it and told us to to grow a pair and sort our own crap out..And we did.

Mile: Then a few years down the line he met a girl and got her pregnant before he finished high school... That's where your great-granddaughter Kairi came from. Kouki's raising her by himself, I won't talk about her mother, that woman is undeserving of the title. But Kairi is the sweetest little girl, She's only 3 and like to draw dinosaurs as astronauts. She says she wants to join the UFG when she's older though I'm not holding my breath, a kid's mind can change after all.

Leo: Why haven't I met them yet?

Mile: They're on vacation right now, but are due back tomorrow.

{The next morning Mile and an anxious Gen waited at the airport for Kouki and Kairi to arrive, Mile nudge her dad when she spotted her son and granddaughter among the crowd disembarking passengers. Kairi was the first to spot her grandma and ran into her arms as Kouki told her to slow down. Mile greeted them both, then Kairi noticed Gen standing off to the side.]

Kairi, points at Gen: Who dis?

Mile: This is Gen Otori, my dad. your grandfather.

{Gen nervously greeted his grandson and granddaughter and needless to say. they both took a shine to him very quickly, Kairi in particular became very a attached to grandpa lee whenever Leo visited Earth she always had something to show or give him pictures she drew which he proudly hangs in his room back home.]

Nayaka: I'm too busy for kids...But, wait and see maybe someday.

Ross’s girlfriend in a girl group. They release a song and the lyrics are very much about Ross (talks about his height. How big he is. How GOOD he is in bed). And Matty delights in quoting the lyrics to Ross on stage. I like the idea of Ross posting a pic of him and his gf to ig w a caption related to the song.

My other thing to say is pls can you write a whole blurb ab subtle PDA between u and Ross, similar to the hand open thing bc oh my god that ruined me.

this has so much potential to be another ross universe... much to think about and Ponder hmmmmmm. also initial thingy can be found here! and yes i'll answer both things here

first part: obsessed with this, and obsessed with the thought that you rocked up to a writing session the day after the best sex of your life and went "i have an idea". also obsessed with you having to tell ross about the fact that you've written a song about him (not for the first time, to be fair) and how sexy he is, because if he's not cool with it then it'll go unreleased - he blushes like crazy when he reads the lyrics, but he secretly loves it, and even from a rough demo he's like "no this is a hit you have to release this song babe". i'm not going to attempt to write it, but i'm imagining the lyrics being chock-full of sex references (charli's like "this makes my banana split lyric look TAME" when she hears them), with a lot of them being really quite intricate metaphors and some others just like on the vibe of "yeah i'm getting bent over daily" - george and matty are simultaneously scandalised, jealous of how good these lyrics are ("we've been writing sex shit like this for twenty years and you outdo us with it on your first attempt smh"), and deeply deeply in love with the song and the way it's constructed/performed. as you said, matty (who is a known stan of your band btw) relishes the opportunity to pester ross with the lyrics onstage; when he introduces/credits the band, he starts singing one of the lyrics from it before he says ross's name, and ross just smirks and raises his eyebrows while the crowd go nuts (like i said, ross secretly loves it). and the fans (and your friends) go even more nuts when ross posts a pic of you and him all sexy and ready for date night on insta with the lyrics referenced or paraphrased in the caption - the best thing about it, though, is that he posts it the morning after date night, from bed, where the two of you are curled up sweaty and exhausted after a looooooong moment of ross proving your lyrics right lmao

second part: i think the subtle pda thing started because you and ross didn't make your relationship public until you had been together for a while, for whatever reason, but the nature of your job meant you guys would run into each other at events and you needed a little way to show affection while still maintaining your privacy. little squeezes of thighs under tables, three little tiny taps on the other's hand to say "i love you" when passing drinks to each other, trapping the other's leg between yours under the table to keep them close... a lot of stuff like that. and there were less subtle moments as you got drunker - ross resting his head on your shoulder to snuggle you under the guise of being tipsy and tired, asking about new developments in each other's careers (that you already know about lol) in order to give yourselves excuses to give long "congratulatory" hugs, cheek kisses hello and goodbye that accidentally seem to land on the corners of lips. obviously now you're openly a thing, you don't need to do all that, but the quick little touches are great for red carpets and moments where you have to be a bit more professional as members of your respective groups. but you can't go without touching ross, and he's the same with you - you just love each other too much to let it go unaddressed at any point lol <3

So, this is a darker post than I'd usually make for this AU but I wanted to go a little more into the Warners backstory and how they ended up where they are now.

I really hope you'll understand that these are all serious topics. and I wanted to share some things I have in my brain about this au.

please tell me if I got anything wrong or portrayed something wrong or potentially insensitive.

So. When they were cast they were 14(Y), 11(W) & 10(D) respectively. And the studio never expected the show to reach the success it did. So they ordered 4 more seasons and a movie. In which the siblings were supposed to look the same age as they did during the first season.

Yakko had it the easiest. But even then he had it awful.

Wakko was constantly scolded by their mother (Whilma) and yelled at by their Father (Artie) about their weight gain due to being the "eating stuff guy" on the show (and having a metabolism that makes it easier for them to have body fat build up.

Dot had it the worst. She'd been 10. And they'd wrapped filming when she was 15-16. During that time she'd been forced into diets and prescribed hormone blockers to delay her body development which ended up causing more issues to her over the years. One of which is the knowledge she'd never really be able to have her own kids, which was what she wanted for a while,

They all fell into different kids of addiction.

For Yakko Artie basically pressured him into starting to drink at 16, he was told it would help with the pain of constant takes and scenes and he was told it made him funnier. He only really stopped because he was left with Abby. She was what got him to stop. He knew what it was like to have crummy drunk parents.

Wakko fell into smoking. It all started with some less than responsible cast/crew members who'd given a 14 year old Wakko a try as they were told it made them appear cool. Which is all Wakko wanted. To be able to be seen as cool. It was a long time before they stopped for good. They'd tried after Yakko gained custody of them and Dot. But they just started again. They kept trying to drop the habit but they never could. But eventually they were able to fully drop it. With the help of their found Family and friends.

Dot tried her best to make her parents and the studio happy. She'd started with just dieting. Then she'd start fully avoiding meals. And she fell into a not so great part of the crew who'd suggested she start taking certain meds to help keep her looking young. Once Yakko gained custody he tried to help fix both his siblings relationship with food. Eventually they both started eating what their body needed. What they we're able to handle. And by Abby's birth Dot was 3 years clean of any drugs she had taken

As some tween/teen stars of the time the Warner's dating lives were debated. Yakko was the one who had the most public relationships. Whether he wanted it or not. Over the years he kept trying to keep his dating life quiet. Due to multiple of his partners being flamed by news and his fans. He also faced many homophobic comments through the media, the studio he worked for and his own parents. Over the hught of his stardom he'd dated a couple other guys and Artie FLIPPED OUT. when he saw his son was dating a boy. This all made Yakko fall deeper into the bottle. Dot was criticized (think like Taylor Swift level dating criticism) for the amount of people she'd been dating. While her brother was called "a hearthrob" or "a playboy" while Dot was labeled "a Slvt" or "serial dater" even though they were both only kids. Wakko was the one who got the most criticism. They'd never had a public relationship (to outsiders knowledge) they'd never even had a single one (as they're Aroace) so they were called "self absorbed" and "broken" Wakko felt broken. They never had the feelings their Siblings talked about when in interviews. Wakko always got quieter during those portions.

over the years Wakko had started wanting to present more as a girl. Neither parent approved it. They called them weird. And creepy. (All those Fun transphobic terms used to talk about Trans women) which caused more issues for Wakko.

ok after Thee category 5 doubleblack moment and watching tristamp w my brother i'll answer this sk8 ask. then i'll go look at deathnote images saved to my phone to complete the collection of anime i care about

so you will never believe me but sk8. is about. a bunch. of skater boys. we have langa who moves to japan from canada after his dad dies bc his mom's japanese. him and his dad used to do snowboarding together but langa got lowkey depressed after his death and doesn't feel much passion for snowboarding anymore. plus he lives in beachy town now so it'd be impossible anyway

he meets reki there tho. and Oh reki is just like. the sun. they're in class together but didn't really talk (langa doesn't talk much) but they bump into each other while reki's out skating and he gets langa to try it and it just. goes downhill from there

reki takes him to S !!! which is this like super secret skaterz place that opens at night on some mountain where they have races and place bets and stuff. long story short langa finds that Spark he's missed ever since his dad died in reki and skateboarding - as in, yeah sure skating's fun but it's reki that makes his heart beat fast and not the adrenaline or whatever. it's not Skating itself that makes him happy but it's skating With Reki. they're so fucking SWEET. they have a bit of a fight halfway thru the series bc reki has some inferiority complex and langa almost loses the Spark again. it's really sweet. at some point he vaguely talks to his mom abt this fight and she assumes it's about a girl he likes so she asks him. "you LIKE this person don't you" and langa BLUSHES HE'S SO CUTE and says yeah :// so she hypes him up to go talk things out and says. good lird. "show her she's a lucky girl!!" and langa. i am quoting word for word. answers. "what girl." gay people real

and those ^ are the little boyfriends. now the BIG boyfriends ugh !! unsufferable. you got kojiro aka joe and kaoru aka cherry and we meet them at s. in fact they FOUNDED s when they were teens along w adam who's the bad guy in this show and i want him dead. joe is. built like a brickhouse and mildly italian ?? he runs a restaurant during the day and the Gang meets up there a lot he's the sweetest in the world and worries and helps the kids anytime he can i adore him. cherry's gnc af (you're insane) he's pretty as fuck and had a Punk Phase as a kid where he had a couple of piercings and emo bangs and NO ONE has ever looked better EVER but he's Mean but still Cares. when they met adam back in the day him & cherry had a lil somethin somethin going on but he ended up dumping them Both for being boring bc he's insane. i don't wanna talk abt him. so that leaves cherry & joe alone again - which is cool. they've been together since preschool they're the type to bicker and talk shit 24/7 while still always being glued to each other. they're so Horny but they won't fuck. everyone at s wonts them carnally. the kids (by this i mean reki & langa but mostly miya who's like a little shit pro skater they picked up along the way) (shoutout to the icp clown rockstar legend shadow who's the 6th and final member of The Gang) call them mom and dad Frequently and they call the gang "The Kids" an incriminating amount of times (they accidentally adopted two 16yos one 14yo and one 24yo. at age 26)

realizing i don't Know how to explain joe & cherry you kinda just have to witness them. there's this bit where cherry's explaining to The Kids how adam does one of his moves so he skates right up to joe and says "Hello..." in a. weird fucking tone and joe hisses back "You're Too Close!!!" threatheningly like he's gonna fuckin Jump him. there's this other bit during THEE beach episode where joe's flirting w some ladies (he's a manwhore) and miya grabs him pretends that he's his dad and tells him that Mommy's mad !! pointing at cherry who's like napping sexily. and joe actually looks at him and like fuckin whimpers and blushes like a virgin and all he can say for himself is THAT IS NOT YOUR MOM !!!! hello. what was that. also there's the bit where adam fuckin slams his board across cherry's face (?!?!?!?) and joe picks him up like a princess (which he calls him sometimes. princess and pinky and the likes) and gets him to the hospital and THEN cherry sneaks out of the hospital to go to joe's restaurant and falls asleep there and joe looks at him sooo tenderly and says something like "at least we aren't alone right kaoru?" and it's Sweet bc cherry has troubles sleeping but he feels safe enough to sleep around joe..... don't u wanna scream

“its you, dummy” your eyes were still closed but you turned to face jungwon and snuggled closer to him

“wha- where did you even get that???” he was almost fully awake now, staring down at your half asleep figure

you yawned before answering in your i-just-woke-up-and-i-should-probably-drink-some-water voice “remember when you sang me to sleep last week? yeah i was secretly recording you. no biggie” you pat his chest twice and leave your hand there, content with life at the moment Lol

“y/nnnn” he whines “change ittt i dont like it”

“you’re kidding.” you deadpan, shocked he would say such a thing!!! “jungwon you sound like an angel threw up on a field of flowers full of puppies and kittens! okay thats kinda weird maybe not that”

jungwon giggles a little and sits up so he can sit against the headboard while your head rests on his lap

“you like my singing that much?” you can hear the smile in his voice as he asks you

you finally pop one eye open to look up at him, a goofy grin in your face

“i love your singing”

his hands run through your hair and you let out a sigh at the feeling

jungwon doesnt say anything

all he does is admire you

you can feel his eyes on you so you open your eyes again (both this time🙏🏼) and meet his eyes

“shut up sunghoon, hes sleeping” you whisper-scolded the boy

you half laugh and half scoff before turning your attention back to the ipad screen sitting on the bed infront of you

kind of infront of you because ni-ki’s acrobatic position was basically blocking the view

you were having a decent time watching the show playing, definitely not the most comfortable person on the planet at the moment

until you felt the body on top of you.. rumble?

HOW and WHY the hell was he laughing ?!!?!!?!

“what the hell?” you look down at him and his face is shoved near your shoulder but you caught a glimpse of his big smile

his laughter gets louder and you still dont have answers yet

“why are you laughing???? i thought you were sleeping?????” you try to push him off you but he was persistent in laughing in your shoulder (??)

after a couple minutes of you just letting this happen

ni-ki finally speaks!

“you’re so funny y/n” he finally pulls away from you and wipes his tears

“what are you even talking about... and how long were you awake, you sneaky kid” you poke his chest

he leans down again to hug your waist and start cuddling you again

“10 minutes”

“so you’re telling me i could’ve freed myself from that god awful demon EMBRACE you had me in 10 minutes ago???!!”

ni-ki starts laughing again and looks up at you

“thank you for threatening to send sunghoon to aliens for me y/n” he grins

A/N: If you can pinpoint the exact moment I started to slowly doubt my writing ability and how to write these characters, I will give you, the reader, 100 points. Cause man this was rough to write when you have writer's block q wq But anyways, this was when my requests were closed BUT I WANTED TO COME THROUGH WITH IT! I would like to dedicate it to @kirayamidemon since I read their comic and it was...excellent.

But in other news, I found out that eels like to be petted!

Warnings: Eel petting, Octopus petting and all three Octavinelle members feeling a certain way when you finally give them those pats.

[Floyd-Senpai: Shrimpy~! Meet us in the mirror room tonight! Azul says he wants to give you something!]

Your eyes look down at your phone before pocketing it back into your jacket, taking another sip of the Coral Pink drink Floyd had made for you before you left Monstro Lounge as you reminisce back on the day you just had.

Today has been probably the most successful day the Monstro Lounge has had in a while. You had offered up the idea to Azul while you two walked to the cafeteria, mentioning touching a manta ray once and how you didn’t expect them to be so slimy. He had looked at you curiously and asked if you had just been a curious child when you were growing up, but you told him that you used to go to a lot of aquariums and how you would go straight to the petting exhibit.

And the moment you said petting exhibit, Azul already had cashed the idea in.

Aquariums had been placed elegantly among the tables of Monstro Lounge tonight. The smaller aquariums on the tables were closed lid, giving the customers a chance to enjoy the little ecosystems Jade had personally made for the creatures Azul had brought in while partaking in their drinks and meals. It made for a killer Magicam picture and Azul had predicted with Vil’s and Cater’s attendance the hashtag #MonstroLoungeExperience would be trending by the time they reached the dinner rush.

It trended faster than they thought.

Most foot traffic, however, came from the piece de resistance.

In the middle of the Lounge, a large aquarium had been placed at foot level where various customers could reach down and pet larger animals such as sting rays, sturgeon fish, starfishes and sea cucumbers. All of them with little placards stating fun facts as well as little sections with a bunch of coral that made for another perfect Magicam photo opportunity.

It had been an amazing experience and you felt like you had almost grown closer to the three Octavinelle students, which was always an ‘A+’ in your book.

You were pretty sure you saw Azul smiling from ear to ear by the time they closed and Floyd and Jade looked physically exhausted from having to deal with so many customers. They had been busy from opening to closing with no breaks in between so you figured that they would want to rest.

So getting a message from Floyd so late at night had been somewhat confusing.

But you didn’t question it, the fact that Azul wants to give you something making you ever so curious.

Who knows, maybe if the sea creatures were still around Azul could let you pet them some more?

Out of everyone you had probably been the most excited for the petting exhibit and you had given him the idea so the possibility of playing more with the starfishes and manta rays pushed you to move faster.

Finishing the last of your drink and throwing it away in the nearest trash can, you push open the doors to the mirror room with a smile--!

Only to find nobody.

“...huh.”

You look around, not daring to call out either of their names since, technically, you weren’t even supposed to be here. The only thing you could do was take a few steps further, looking around as you try to make some sense of the situation.

Why wouldn’t they meet you in Octavinelle? The Monstro Lounge was there, as well as all the creatures. Azul’s office was there as well so if he wanted to give you something he could have given it to you there, so why had Floyd asked to meet them in the Mirror room? You look around for a moment before frowning as the realization set in.

It was a prank.

“Dammit.”

Of course. Why would Floyd even act this nice towards you if it wasn’t to lull you into a false sense of security? The table you had sat in today had a beautiful aquarium with a bunch of little shrimps floating around and the mereel, more than once, had opened the lid and stuck his hand inside to grab one of the shrimps and hang it over his open mouth.

You thought he was just acting this way because he was stressed from working so much but he probably had just done it to tease you! With a huff, you pull out your phone and open up his contact number to give him a piece of your mind--!

“Aha! Shrimpy is here!”

Only to gag as the back of your jacket is grabbed by a slimy aquamarine hand, pulling you into the nearest mirror and leaving nothing but your phone laying on the ground.

Floyd’s hands pull you into a hug the moment you are pulled into the water, laughing as he sees you thrashing around and pulling at the arms keeping you pressed close to him.

“Ahhhh! Shrimpy stop moving!”

The mereel squeezes you tight, smiling as he looks down at the moment you realize who is holding you and what you are able to do.

He grins and wraps his tail around you, the fins brushing your fingertips as the shock slowly starts to die down and the curiosity starts to set in. Floyd’s eyes shine brighter under the sea, your hand going to your chest as you expected to drown immediately but finding it simple to breathe in and out.

“What--?!”

“Finally!”

“There we go~ Breathe in--”

You take a deep breath.

“And out~”

Your chest relaxes as Floyd giggles at how wide your eyes have gotten, letting you go with his arms but his tail wrapping around one of your legs and pulling you close to him once again. He smiles when your hands go up to inspect the fins on his ears but stop as if the situation was still highly unreal for you to believe.

He guessed humans rarely got to see the sea during the night, but he was glad he got to show you this sight. Even if it was Azul’s idea in the first place.

Looking around, you notice that you had been here before.

It was the Coral Sea.

You look back at the mereel as Floyd tilts his head at your confusion, smiling as he sees the shining in your eyes get brighter when you notice that the veins in his arms and the ones going up his neck are all shining in the moonlit water.

“Floyd…”

Ah. You really looked too cute. Especially when you were looking at him with so much wonder. Maybe he should just take you out further and hide near the corals, somewhere Jade nor Azul would look as he preens under your attention.

He blinks as you break out of the spell long enough to point a finger at him.

“You--! Why did you call me to the Mirror room so late! The last thing I need to do is get in trouble with the Headmaster!”

Floyd frowns, “You didn’t get in trouble! I pulled you when I heard your voice! Why didn’t you call out to me!”

“Because I couldn’t see tail nor fin of you!”

Both of you stop talking after your dumb joke, looking at each other with surprise before a giggle escapes your lips first, turning into a full blown laugh between you both as he takes your hand and presses it under the fins in his ears.

“Shrimpy was so mean today. Petting all those creatures and ignoring everything else. It made me want to eat all of them up.”

You smile and rub right under the juncture where fins meet skin, Floyd shivering as he pulls you closer to him.

“Eels don’t eat any invertebrates, right? You guys are mostly carnivores.”

He grins and gives you a small squeeze. You even knew of his diet? Why hadn’t you mentioned you knew some things about sea creatures. If you had, Floyd would have dragged you to the Coral Sea way before this! He smiles as your hands go all the way down to his neck, tracing each vein slowly but not going any further than his clavicle and choosing instead to run your fingers from his shoulder blades all the way to his Adam's apple.

“Shrimpy is being too shy. Here!”

You gasp as Floyd grabs your hand and helps you swim over to a pair of rocks, sitting you down on top as the bottom of his tail wrapped around your legs to keep you anchored. He laughs as he practically sits on you, choosing instead to lay the top half of his tail on your lap as you look down at the shiny, swishing fins.

“Now you can touch as much as you’d like!”

Floyd was ready to make a joke about how this would a much better petting experience for you but his eyes widen when he sees the wonder in yours, the smile in his face disappearing as he watches your fascination with his fins, running your fingers through his caudal fin and rubbing the edges with your hand. His hands twitch as you run yours up his tail, taking in the slimy but firm feeling before looking up at him and reaching out to cup his face with one hand.

He presses his cheek against your palm, smiling as you scratch right over his ear fin and almost jumping up from the rock as you start to rub the appendage.

“Shrimpy wait--”

Shit, he almost bit his tongue. He could barely look into your curious eyes as his heart sped up, the most sensitive area of his body being played and inspected with being a far too new feeling for him to just laugh it off.

Floyd bites his bottom lip as his tail squeezes your legs, closing his eyes as he felt several shivers go up his spine. It felt too good--

“Floyd?”

The mereel slowly comes down from the high as he glares at the intruder, clicking his tongue as he saw who it was.

A pair of identical eyes to Floyd’s turn in your direction, your hand pulling away from the other as you turned to greet Jade.

“You certainly took them farther than I thought you would.”

He chuckles as his brother turns away, clearly not wanting you to see the blush on his cheeks. Nevertheless, his attention immediately goes back to you, swimming over to your side and sitting on the opposite of where Floyd was situated.

“Did you have any troubles finding us?”

You shook your head, “Floyd grabbed me and pulled me in before I could leave.”

Jade nods and looks down at how Floyd had situated himself, a brief pang of jealousy overtaking him as he scoots closer, takes your hand and presses it on his chest. You immediately try to pull back but Jade’s eyes lid as he tugs you in closer, the veins in his chest shining even brighter than Floyd’s as he immediately feels you relax in his touch.

“Do you know what this is, [Y/N]-san?”

His eyes take their time to take in all of you as you nod your head, whispering the word ‘bioluminescence’ as Jade licks his lips.

How strange was it to see you so focused. Jade had taken his time during the lull of the Monstro Lounge hours to watch you near the petting tank, your fingers running over the manta rays and tapping at the carapaces of the horseshoe crabs. And like his brother he did feel a certain sort of jealousy for those creatures, but he also saw an opportunity.

An opportunity to get your guard down.

His eyes look over at Floyd, the other pouting as your fingers start to trace Jade’s chest all by themselves.

“Uhm--”

Jade’s attention goes back to you, “Yes?”

“I didn’t think that moray eels had bioluminescence.”

He smiles and takes your hand again, guiding it from the middle of his chest all the way to his cheek making sure that your fingers feel the light travel in his veins as you start to wriggle out of Floyd’s hold and into Jade’s.

“Our kind is a mixture of many eels types. While our exterior is that of a moray eel, our interior is also made up of certain eels that use this feature as a way to communicate with other animals, warn predators…”

The mereel decides to keep the ‘lure prey’ part out of his explanation.

Jade’s eyes immediately went to Floyd’s as the other was about to speak up, glaring at him to keep his mouth quiet for he had his turn. His eyes soften when they go back to you, your eyes still taking in all of the small trails of light decorating Jade’s body as your hands trace against the caudal fins on his arms.

They were rougher than the ones near their ears…

Slowly, your hands go to the fins on the side of Jade’s face, the mereel tensing up but keeping his eyes on you as you start to tug and rub at the appendages.

“[Y/N]-san…”

His nails scratch against the rocks as he feels your fingers trace every line they can find, his fins giving a little twitch as you push them back only to watch them slowly move back to their original spot. You had no idea what you were making him feel, what you probably made Floyd feel.

And if his dear brother wanted to keep it a secret, then he would keep his mouth shut as well.

Having someone touch them so freely, especially that area, was an act reserved for mates only. Even during courtship this was prohibited and if any other merperson happened to swim by it would be as if they just tumbled into the merman equivalent of someone shoving their fingers in between someone else’s legs.

But your curiosity was so endearing and Jade just couldn’t find it in himself to pull you away. In fact, that look of yours full of innocence and naivety was so cute that if he let his instincts run wild you would find yourself being dragged to the Leech's home--

“What--you two!”

His reason kicks back in as Jade smiles and turns to look at the new visitor.

The octomer’s face is bright red as he locks eyes with you, your hands letting go of Jade’s fins as he smiles and waves at Azul.

“I’m glad you decided to join us, Azul.”

He wants to say something about what the hell he just saw but he decides to save it, knowing full well that Jade nor Floyd were going to give him a straight answer. Instead, he decides to address you directly.

“Inferring from our conversation from early this morning as well as your actions during the Monstro Lounge opening hours, I figured you would like this sort of surprise."

He clears his throat, sneaking a peek at your face and quickly looking away as he saw your eyes staring straight at him.

Humans like you are still curious about the different types of merpeople, especially those like Jade and Floyd, so after much consideration I decided--”

"Azul, you're beautiful."

Oh no. He bit his tongue. Fuck, fuck, fuck he bit his tongue and now it hurts like a shell clamping down on his hand--why had you gone and say something like that so suddenly?!

"Excuse me?"

The spell Jade had you in was completely broken as you pulled out of the brother's hold and swam over to him, stopping when you noticed him backing away.

Azul stared at you and you stared back at him.

He couldn't help it. After all the things he had to deal with, it was hard enough for him to even appear in front of you like this. And it wasn't like he was doing it as a showing of any sort of affection towards you, he just didn't want to owe you any favours from the idea you had given him!

All he had to do was just...reach a tentacle out--

"Huh?"

Azul notices you swimming back a tiny bit, smiling at the tentacle shyly reaching out to you.

"You can turn back, you know. I don't want you to feel forced to do this."

You point at him, your eyes still wide with curiosity but keeping your distance.

"The fact that I get to see you like this is enough."

Azul can feel his heart skip a beat, tentacles unfurling even more as the need to hide melted away.

But...he owed you a favor...

"Honestly. Thank you so much Azul."

For the Sea Witch's sake, he really couldn't pin you down, could he?

The octomer swims over, floating right in front of you as one tentacle shyly brushes against your fingertips. They twitch in interest but you do not move, looking up at Azul expectantly.

You really were too nice for your own good, waiting for someone to give you the okay when he clearly wanted you to at least inspect that part of him.

"Go...go ahead."

Your touch is soft, pressing your hands right against his suckers and chuckling at the small noise they made as they attached themselves to your skin. Azul moves in a bit closer as some tentacles start wrapping around your ankles and wrists, his natural instincts taking over as his tentacles wrap around the person he really liked.

Well not like as in like like but a like he had yet to put a definition to. And it's not like it needed a definition, you certainly weren't asking him what sort of like it was and the thought of what kind of like it really was didn't keep him up at night at all.

"Oop!"

Azul almost wants to screech at the tentacle going in between your legs and hoisting you up, offering you a sort of makeshift seat as the other appendages start to press against your neck, leaving behind little sucker marks in their wake.

This situation was not only testing his boundaries but also his patience.

"I didn't think they would be so slippery...and so soft!"

Please don't look so curious about him! It's going to give him wild expectations!

The tip of a tentacle rubs against your cheek, Azul's face an almost red tomato as he hears you chuckle and push the appendage back but for some reason his tentacles weren't listening to him so the thing only pushed forward even more--

"Ah! No fair!"

Floyd comes up behind you, wrapping you up in a hug as he points a finger at Azul.

"No hogging Shrimpy to yourself!"

Azul swims back in alarm.

"I wasn't hogging anyone!"

Jade laughs as he swims right up behind you, a hand on your shoulder as he pulls you back.

"Azul you might want to look down."

The octomer blinks only to look down, seeing that one of his tentacles had stubbornly wrapped around your waist.

"Ahh...ahhhh….!"

You, Jade and Floyd blink as dark ink fills the water, Azul covering his face and letting you go, swimming to the nearest hole and curling up inside as he strangles one of his tentacles.

Of all the things to embarrass him it just had to be himself, huh?!

"Azul? Wait come back!"

"Shrimpy tell me I'm beautiful as well~!"

"Floyd let me go! There's ink everywhere!"

"Not until you tell me I'm beautiful!"

"Jade!"

"Azul is more than okay, I can assure you...although I would also like the same compliment as well, [Y/N]-san."

The next day, you woke up with a high fever due to swimming all night, a present from all of the Octavinelle students at your doorstep with an apology card neatly placed on top.

Prompt: Every Spring Fest, the unmated Alphas had to choose a mate but when Taehyung felt a pull, he didn’t expect it to lead to you.

“Come on!” Taehyung whined loudly. “Just tell me!”

“You know that I cannot tell you who is participating in the Mating Ceremony Tae,” Jimin giggled. “It’s against pack rules.”

“Alright, well just give me a clue,” Taehyung tried to bargain. The two of them were sat outside in the territory that belonged to their pack, deciding to enjoy their lunch in the newly nice weather.

“You know, to be an Alpha, you have no sense of patience,” Jimin laughed.

“And for you to be an Omega, you have no sense of loyalty to your best friend,” Taehyung pouted.

“Oh God, he’s pulling out the pouts,” Jimin groaned playfully. “If you’re so impatient about not being able to know who’s participating in the Ceremony beforehand, then why are you even doing it?”

The Mating Ceremony was an age old tradition in Taehyung’s pack that occurred every year, right at the start of the Spring Festival. For people who still believed in soulmates, the Mating Ceremony was an unbiased opportunity for those people to find the one that their soul desired. The Omegas and Betas would gather together, with their faces hidden, and it was up to an Alpha to use only their sense of smell to find the scent that they liked the most.

Of course, a lot of people felt that scents weren’t the only important thing when it came to building the foundation of a relationship as time has passed but it was still an honored and revered tradition nonetheless.

“Besides the fact that literally everyone that I know has found their mate during the Ceremony?” Taehyung huffed. “The fact that I’m almost 26 years old and haven’t found my mate yet.”

“Oh please, you say that as if you’re old and if you’re old, then I’m old,” Jimin said as he rolled his eyes. “And I’m definitely not old.”

“Well, you say that because you’re not alone,” Taehyung pointed out. “My parents found each other 27 years ago, Yoongi hyung found you three years ago, Joon hyung found Aareum the year before that, and hell, even Jin hyung found Jungkookie last year. Too long, didn’t read, I’m gonna die alone if I don’t do it.”

“I feel so bad for your future mate because you are so fucking dramatic,” Jimin laughed as he reached over and stole a French fry off of Taehyung’s plate.

“You’d have time to warn them if you’d just tell me who’s joining this year,” Taehyung tried to persuade him. “Come on, what’s the point in having the Head Omega as your best friend if he doesn’t supply you with useful information?”

“Oh, and here I was thinking that I was your bestfriend because I’m your platonic soulmate,” Jimin scoffed. “Look Tae, the entire point of the Mating Ceremony is to let your heart and your nose do the deciding for you. If I tell you who’s participating and who’s not, it’ll cloud your judgement and then the whole thing will be moot.”

“Ugh, fine Mr. “I wanna be ethical”,” Taehyung sighed as he stood up from the table. “I gotta go and finish up my gift for the Ceremony so I’ll see you later.”

“See you later, Pouty Pants,” Jimin giggled as he waved his hand and Taehyung began to walk around the territory. He wasn’t lying when he said that he needed to go finish working on his courting gift, but he figured that it wouldn’t hurt to take a walk around the pack’s territory before he did.

Taehyung’s pack was pretty tight knit, though it was considered to be considerably larger than the other surrounding packs. Even though Taehyung’s family weren’t the ones who founded the pack, his great-great-grandfather was one of the first members to join the pack so Taehyung‘s family line literally had stakes in the very beginning of the pack.

Growing up, Taehyung had been pretty well known around the pack but after he presented as an Alpha, it was as if he were a celebrity. Every unmated Alpha, Beta, and Omega seemed to be after him and admittedly, he had enjoyed the attention for the last few years but now, he was ready to find his mate, settle down, and start a family.

Just as Taehyung walked around the corner that separated the school building and the doctor’s house, he collided with a figure that had literally rushed into him.

“Hey!” Taehyung yelped, gasping when the papers that the person had been holding fell down onto the ground.

“Oh my gosh,” you whispered, bending down and beginning to pick the papers up. Taehyung bent down as well, helping when he realized who you were.

“Y/N?” He called and you looked up at him, your eyes widening when you realize who he was.

“Oh Taehyung, I’m so sorry,” you apologized, bowing your head to him.

“No no no, it’s ok. Don’t worry about it,” he assured you. “Just let me help you with these.”

“I already ran into you, you don’t have to,” you tried to say but Taehyung just cut you off.

“I want to,” he chuckled and you just decided to let it go as the two of you finished picking up all of the fallen papers. Once you were both done, you stood up straight and Taehyung handed the small stack of papers that he had collected over to you.

“So, where were you off to that has you in such a rush?” Taehyung wondered with a smile.

“Well, uh, the start of Spring marks the halfway point in the second half of the schoolyear for the pups so I was in a rush to get their progress reports finished,” you explained and Taehyung couldn’t help but to smile at how shy you still seemed to be around him.

The two of you knew of each other from around the pack and you went to school together, being as though the two of you were born in the same year. Because of that, you both had a lot of mutual friends but the two of you never hung out much because you were really shy and seemed almost scared of Taehyung so he always made sure to give you your space.
