hey everyone ! i’m actually not really a new studyblr as i’ve had this blog for, like, two years, but i’ve just come back from a loooong hiatus and a lot of things are different now, so yea, i’ve also never really made an intro post so here it is !

my name’s nicole, but i like it better when people call me nico or nic

i’m 19, turning 20 in four months (and scared as hell to get “old”)

i’m from italy, so yep, i speak italian, and, as you can see, english

i’m in university, majoring in biotechnologies, and it’s my first year

making friends with people who didn’t care for me back

midnight: are you a different person late at night than in the early morning?

yeah for sure!! usually in the morning, i feel very happy, productive and energized after going on a run, having a good breakfast and completing my homework/assignments. something about the morning makes me feel more motivated to achieve more in life. whereas, at nightime, i’m tired and lazy bc of school or whatever is on that day

Long time no post! Now that I’ve starting senior school, and my final exams are coming up, I thought that I should probably start posting again, as the studyblr community does wonders to get me motivated!

These are just a few low qual pics of some notes I was taking for ‘Of Mice and Men’. I actually found these printables on Tumblr, and they're so helpful!

Another thing that I’ve started this year is using a binder based system of taking notes (instead of using exercise books). It’s been working out so well for me, so I may do a masterpost on it, as before I developed my own organisation methods reg. the binder, I scoured Tumblr and there was literally nothing!

AHHH I AM soooo sorry for such a late reply gosh, I feel awful. So here are some fairly detailed answers?

9. Favorite class out of everything you’ve ever taken and why?

Idk if I can rally choose, given how much I love all of my classes in political science and math rn. I am going to be taking a Costume Design class next term though, and I am really really excited about that.

I work in the costume shop as my on campus job, and I was super interested in fashion design since a really young age, and I am really excited to be able to take this interest into something more applicable and actually do something with that.

22. What’s your preferred writing implement?

It definitely depends on what. When taking hand notes, I usually prefer pen, usually the Muji .5 gel pens in various colors. (What, you don’t take colorful math lecture notes in pen?)

When sketching, I really like the .38 black Muji pens. When formally drawing, my pencil sketch is almost always done in the Pilot AirBlanc mechanical pencils in .3. I think I spent at least 50$ at my local MaiDo just on those pencils alone, I loose them so often.

38. Are you an in-class fidgeter?

If I am not actively taking notes, absolutely. I really need something to do in class, or else I fall asleep. Its nice in math, because so far, (except for that one awful time in 10th grade Pre-Calc), the teachers would lecture while simultaneously writing notes on the board/projector, and so I would listen and copy down their examples/notes.

PoliSci classes on the other hand are a lot more difficult for me, because the teachers would lecture, but then not write down anything on the board. It gets super difficult to actively listen to the lecture (how I learn this type of material best) and to take helpful notes. So I tend to just listen to the lecture while knitting or crocheting or doodling in my notebook.
