“And of course the boys swept the competition,” y/n explains, falling back on Jiwoo’s couch with a definitive plunk. Bogum, Hana, and Mina are still staring wide eyed at the posh Seoul apartment Jiwoo’s husband to be picked out for them. Jiwoo herself has ‘oohed’ and ‘ahhed’ through her sister’s entire play-by-play but now she circles around the loft to offer drinks to her new guests.

y/n snuggles an obnoxiously tasseled throw pillow to her chest and beckons for Bogum to sit beside her. He grins at her, eager to be near her, and settles obediently beside her. Mostly, y/n is thrilled by his presence but there is still a small part of her heart that twinges. Why couldn’t Tae want her like this? As soon as the intrusive thought rises up, she shoves it back down.

To hell with Tae, she thinks but she knows that hating him isn’t in the cards either. She boxed herself into a paradox trying to keep him in her life without revealing her feelings. They are growing apart but they’ll never leave each other’s lives. She’s stuck in Kim Taehyung limbo.

She shakes her head as if this will remove him from her brain and reaches over to take Bogum’s hand in hers. His palm is warm and she likes the way his long fingers tangle through hers easily as if they are meant to slot together. It’s only been a week but it’s easy to be with him.

y/n doesn’t admit to herself that it’s only been easy because Tae and Bogum have yet to cross paths.

Jiwoo pulls y/n out of her muddled thoughts with a glass of chilled red wine and a warning, “If you spill that on my pillows, the hubs might kill you. He’s already mad that I spent so much money on them!”

“Is he coming tonight?” Mina asks from the kitchen where she’s taken up post assembling a charcuterie board.

Jiwoo sighs, “He said he’d try but knowing his boss, he won’t be home anytime soon.”

“Sucks,” Mina sympathizes. y/n loves Mina. She always seems to know when to keep her comments short and when to pull out the dramatics. Maybe she’s learned this from having to deal with Jin’s antics all this time or maybe she’s always been this way and that’s why they work. Either way, y/n is happy they got together.

“What does he do?” Hana asks politely, her gaze trained on Jiwoo’s mini art collection.

Jiwoo laughs and sips her own wine before answering, “He is a boring, old businessman and he’s my favorite person on the planet!”

“He’s literally the Bruce Wayne of businessmen,” y/n amends, “By day, he is boring. By night, who knows what he’ll do.”

Hana, Bogum, and Mina are intrigued by this mystery man.

“Is he some kind of vigilante?” Bogum asks.

“He’s crazy and he’s rich. He took Jiwoo to Paris on like their third date,” y/n explains.

Jiwoo jokes, “The man basically bought my love!”

Before any of them have time to unpack Jiwoo’s relationship, the door to the loft flings open and the Boy Scouts traipse inside. None of them feels out of place in this apartment which is basically an extension of the Jung household and therefore home to them but they still all stop to greet Jiwoo first.

y/n tries — she really does! — not to notice Tae as he walks through the door but how can she not? She’s been aware of his presence since they met in grade school and it’s not as if she can turn off her Tae Radar with a snap of her fingers. She’s tried.

Instead, she squeezes Bogum’s hand and pulls him to his feet so they can greet the other Boy Scouts together. She starts with Hobi, butting her head against his chest like she used to do when they were little. He laughs, ruffling her hair, and pulls her into a side hug so she doesn’t have to break her tether to Bogum.

“You were amazing up there!” she whispers excitedly, “And I think I overheard a scout with the Korea National Ballet say he was interested in you!”

Namjoon, overhearing this, slings an arm over Hobi’s shoulders and confirms, “Our Hoba was approached by several talent scouts tonight actually!”

y/n doesn’t miss the way that Hobi’s eyes flicker to Yoongi at this announcement nor does she miss the way that Yoongi beelines for the kitchen to pour himself a drink. She bites her lip, already brainstorming how she can course correct this.

“That’s amazing, Hobi!” Bogum says, giving him a congratulatory slap on the shoulder.

“Thanks!” Hobi laughs.

“The rest of you were fantastic too,” y/n says. She gives Jimin a purposeful wink so he knows her comment is very much directed at him. He danced his heart out up there and she knows how important it was for him to win. He blushes and covers his face at her compliment.

The boys all clamor to talk over one another about the competition after that and soon they’ve drifted all around the loft to chat. It isn’t long before their back-up dancers arrive and then several more friends from school and work join the fray as well. y/n is just about to settle back on the couch with Bogum, proud of herself for having successfully avoided Tae, when an all too familiar grip circles her wrist and spins her back around.

They haven’t talked one on one since the night he texted her about her first date with Bogum and she can see the pain in his eyes. It makes her heart leap into her throat and she hopes he can’t read her face as easily as she can read his.

“Do I not get a congratulations from my best friend then?” he asks. Hana swats his arm.

“Don’t be so aggressive, Taebear!” she scolds.

“TAEBEAR!” Jungkook roars from a few feet away and then makes a gagging sound. Tae’s eyes tighten, the only indication he’s embarrassed, but Hana covers her mouth with visible regret that she’s spoken the pet name in firing range of his buddies. y/n would like nothing more than to gag too but she can’t leave Hana to be embarrassed and she immediately diffuses the situation.

Rolling her eyes, she leans up on her tiptoes to wrap her free arm around Tae’s neck, the other still firmly tethered to Bogum, and pulls him close. She means for it only to be a short hug. She means to slap him on the back of the head for being so dramatic but he wraps his arms tightly around her and pulls her other hand free of Bogum.

“I miss you,” he whispers in her ear like the whole party isn’t watching them. Like he hasn’t just yanked her away from her boyfriend who he still hasn’t introduced himself to. Like his girlfriend isn’t right there.

“Yeah, yeah,” she replies loudly and, though she’d gladly stand there forever with his arms around her and his breath hot on her ear, she is apparently the only one of them with any decency for the people around them, “Congratulations or whatever!”

She turns back to Bogum to find his usually genial expression replaced with stone. She tosses her head, grinning at him, as if to say, ‘get a load of this guy, am I right?’ Thankfully it works. He holds out his hand to her and quickly twines their fingers together again.

“Oh yeah, you’re the L word guy, right?” Tae asks, leaning around y/n to greet Bogum.

Bogum lifts an eyebrow at y/n and she shrugs. The boys shake hands as Bogum agrees, “Yeah! I guess I am! It’s nice to finally meet you. Tae, right?”

Tae clutches at his chest, pretending to be wounded, “She didn’t tell you about me? I’m only her favorite person ever!”

Why is he being so dramatic? y/n would rather bury herself alive than deal with this second hand embarrassment. She scowls at him, hoping it’s enough warning to get him to shut up, but Tae only winks and

presses on, “it’s kind of weird that you said the L word to her before you ever met her, don’t you think?”

Somewhere further away y/n thinks she hears Jiwoo mutter something about murder.

“You don’t think she’s appealing enough to be loved at first sight?” Bogum counters. A hush falls over the room.

“Of course she is,” Tae agrees. y/n does not like this stand off that’s going down. She looks helplessly to Hana as if this girl can somehow rein in her man but y/n knows better than anyone that Tae can’t be stopped once he gets going. “I just find it suspicious that you would say it to her so quickly. Kind of makes it seem like you have ulterior motives, you know?”

“I can assure you I don’t,” Bogum says evenly. He even manages a smile.

Hana pats Tae’s arm, sensing an opportunity to pull her boyfriend away from a pissing match, and says, “Let’s go get you a glass of wine! We should celebrate what an amazing job you did tonight!”

Everyone in the loft seems to let out a simultaneous breath and the party resumes.

“I think he likes me,” Bogum says, only the slightest hint of sarcasm in his tone. y/n laughs, pulling him after her to Jiwoo’s balcony so they can get some fresh air, and agrees, “Oh, you’re like his favorite person ever, I can tell!”

The music and chatter of the party waft across the balcony when the back door opens. y/n has carefully been studying the city skyline with Bogum but they both look up at the noise. Hana and Tae step through the door waving politely to the couple. y/n waves back, a signal that they can join them, and then quickly turns to Bogum.

“If he goes off again, we’re leaving, okay?”

Bogum tucks a loose strand of hair behind her ear and smiles, “It’ll be fine, y/n, he doesn’t bother me.”

They had spent the last fifteen minutes or so talking about her best friend’s bizarre behavior and while y/n was utterly confused by it, Bogum had a feeling he knew exactly why the boy would be reacting that way. Romantically or not, Tae was jealous but Bogum was old enough now not to be fazed by the antics of jealous boys. Who wouldn’t be jealous of the guy who won the heart of a girl like y/n?

“Hi,” Hana chirps, sliding onto one of Jiwoo’s wicker benches. y/n returns her warm smile before pointedly directing her gaze back to the city without a word to Tae. He sits, chagrined, by his girlfriend and for a few beats all four of them are silent.

“I’m sorry,” Tae finally spits out, “I don’t know what came over me in there but whatever it was, it was no reason to talk to you like that. It’s nice to finally meet you, Bogum, I’m Kim Taehyung.”

Bogum nods, accepting the apology easily enough, and sticks out his hand to Tae. They shake like old friends. The conversation is smooth after that but it’s artificial and y/n wonders if she’s the only one who can tell. Hana and Bogum seem immersed enough, relieved that the tense atmosphere has dissipated but when she catches Tae’s eye, she can see.

He’s putting on a show.

The very next morning, Jihoon stirs from his slumber to find a barrage of texts from Soonyoung, seemingly excited about his best friend joining him on the camping trip. He rolls his eyes with a little smile as he looks over the wall of text detailing when the crew will leave for the trip and what to bring. Jihoon makes a mental note to invest in a small tent for him and Ji-ah to share and some snacks to bring for the bonfire.

With a long yawn, Jihoon rises tiredly as the sunlight creeps in through his window, the time on his phone reading 7:47am. He sighs as he lets himself slip out of his bed and onto the carpeted floor to reach for a pair of shorts and a compression gym shirt. The weather is looking nice enough for a jog, he thinks. After sliding into his sneakers and putting his earphones in, he places his phone into the pockets of his shorts before taking off out the front door and into the direction of the city streets.

After a thirty minute jog, Jihoon finds himself stepping into an intriguing bakery with the intention for a bagel and a bitter black coffee. As he steps into Love Letter Cafe, his eyes widen as he sees none other than his soulmate sitting inside one of the booths on the right hand side of the Cafe surrounded by three others. Jihoon panics for a moment before slipping into an unused booth on the left side of the room, peeking over to see who was seated around you.

His eyes fall on both yours and his housemates, Seokmin and Mingyu with you, Seokmin by your side and Mingyu diagonally across from you. He observes the new edition to your group, his long dark hair tied up in a half up-half down style wearing baggy gray sweatpants and a white tank top, his left arm adorned with tattoos from his shoulder all the way down to his fingertips, a black hooded jacket sitting over his lap as you seemingly laugh at a comment he’s made. You are also in the same outfit as the mystery man, your long hair pulled up into a high ponytail, your oversized jacket falling off your shoulders as you lean forward to take a sip of your hot chocolate in front of you. His cheeks flush pink as he takes in your new style; everytime he has seen you, you’re always in pastel colours, girly skirts and dresses. This new look suits you.

Jihoon feels slightly intimidated by the look of the man you’re facing, but is surprised when the buff man lets out the smallest airy giggle he’s ever heard. Oh dear god, it’s another Mingyu.

“How did he not get fired?” The new boy giggles between sips from his cup, your laugh echoing through the new empty cafe with the others.

“Because Eomoni is a good person, just like her son.” You wink at the boy, laughing as he rolls his eyes.

“You only say that because she was nice enough to hire you.” He huffs, jutting his bottom lip out.

“Yah, Jeon Jungkook!” An older lady over the counter scolds loudly at your table. Your smirk grows. “Don’t speak about my best worker like that!” She is waving her hand dramatically.

Jeon Jungkook. Jihoon’s eyes widened. Oh. He knew this kid. He was Mingyu’s best friend from high school. They parted for college after Jungkook left to start a tattoo apprenticeship, but the two boys always stayed in close contact. Mingyu always brought up stories of Jungkook at home, but this was the first time he’s ever seen the boy in person.

“And speak to your mother with respect!” You smack the table playfully, causing Mingyu and Seokmin to erupt with laughter.

“Ahh, this is why you’re my favourite!” Mrs Jeon grins at you, placing a cupcake in front of you as you squeal excitedly.

“Eomoni Jeon’s cupcakes are the best!” You grin happily, taking a bite of the treat while wiggling in your seat.

“Eomma, why don’t I get one?” The boy pouts sweetly, but she just smacks the back of his head lightly. He whines.

“Because you’re not nice to my honorary daughter.” She wags her finger at him before walking back behind the counter, your smirk still evident as you eat the cupcake gleefully.

“This is why you need to be nice to your elders, Jeon.” You winked, letting out a triumphant laugh.

“Watch it, Choi,” he huffs. “Remember who your dance partner is for Soonyoungie-hyung’s practice today.”

“How can I forget?” You clap back, leaning back against the wall. “Mingyu only reminded me thirteen times because of his whining.”

“It’s not fair.” He grumbles, poking at his croissant on the table. “I don’t understand why I had to be cut for Jungkookie to take over my spot.”

“Sweetie, I hate to admit it, but you have two left feet when it comes to partner work.” You smile at Jihoon’s housemate, who only groans.

“It’s not my fault I’m tall and uncoordinated!”

“That’s right.” You soothe him. “But think of it this way, you still get to film the promo video today for Soonie’s dance crew, and you’re still an amazing solo dancer.”

“Do you really think that, Y/Nie?” He pouts, as you laugh and ruffle his hair.

“I do.” You grin softly as he slowly nods.

“And think about it,” Seokmin chimes in. “You’ll be getting paid too!”

Jihoon raises his eyebrow. He knew of Soonyoung’s dance crew. It wasn’t anything special, in Sooyoung's words. It was just him and his good friends who wanted to join and have fun. He knew that Mingyu and Jun would go every second Saturday to go meet him and do some dancing, but he didn’t know you were in the crew too.

“This is true..” Mingyu nods, a little smile growing on his face.

“There’s the Gyu we know and love.” You encourage him, and Jihoon swore if Mingyu had a tail, he’d be wagging it right now. “I don’t understand why Soonie needs me for the video though.” You hum, a frown forming on your lips. “I only do this for fun. The boys group dance in my opinion is a lot better than our one too.”

“Isn’t it obvious?” Seokmin raises his eyebrow.

“Isn’t what obvious?” You blink.

“He wants you to be the main feature of the video to get views.” Jungkook laughs, and your cheeks turn red.

“Don’t be stupid, Jeon!” You swat his hand.

“Oh sure,” he humors you. “He totally didn’t Bada Lee you up and get you looking like a meal to make you stand at the back.”

“Don’t you talk about my wife Bada Lee that way!” You pout, making the other three laugh. “And don’t compare her out-of-this-world looks to plain old me! That’s an insult to my queen.”

“Y/N, you don’t realize how hot you are, do you?” Jungkook leans back in his seat, eyebrow raised.

Who does this kid think he is? Jihoon scoffs. He clearly must have a thing for you. He is unsure if the grumbling in the pit of his stomach is from his hunger or something else brewing. No, Jihoon. Don’t be ridiculous.

“I’m not hot.” You roll your eyes, leaning your head back on the wall. “And you shouldn’t be talking that way.” You scold him again. “You have a soulmate now, and I’m pretty sure Namjoon-Oppa wouldn’t approve.”

“Yah, I may have a soulmate, but I can appreciate an attractive person when I see one.” He defends himself. “Even Mingyu and I had a crush on you in middle school- OW!” He yelps as Jihoon’s housemate smacks him.

“Yeah for about a week!” You frown, shaking your head. “That doesn’t count. You’re only saying that to make me feel better, and I’m flattered. Really I am, but you don’t have to lie.”

“But we’re not…”

The boys pause as they see you shrink in your seat, arms hugging around your knees. They give each other a silent look before nodding in agreement.

“I’m sorry, Bug.” Jungkook pouts as you nod your head slowly.

“Sorry,” you sigh, wincing and shaking your head at the icky feeling in your stomach. “Shouldn’t have snapped.”

Jihoon feels awful. He can feel the self-consciousness oozing through your body mixed with sadness and anxiety.

“Okay, let’s change the subject,” Jungkook offers, nudging you from across the table. “How’s the ink holding up?”

Jihoon’s ears perk up. Ink?

“It’s not too bad,” you hum, pushing your jacket down and sliding the top of your tank top over to the side to reveal a small galaxy of black ink drawn into your collarbone under the fabric. Your soulmate’s cheeks flush as he sees the new tattoo on your skin, teeth sinking into his bottom lip. “A bit itchy now, but that means it’s healing, right?” You tilt your head at the tattooed boy, who only nods in response. He leans forward and runs a finger over the skin before nodding with approval.

“Yeah, it’s looking good.” He beams. “You do realize the secret will be out now once this video comes out.”

“I mean, yeah,” you shrug, letting the tank top fall back into place, a few stray stars peeking out from either side of the fabric. “But Cheol can’t do anything now. It’s literally embedded into my skin.” You laugh softly.

Jihoon never took you to be a rebel like this. He only ever heard stories of you being a well mannered goody two-shoes. Not that there was anything wrong with that, of course.

“I can’t believe you managed to keep this under wraps from him, Bug.” Seokmin speaks to you with concerned eyes.

“I mean I could be doing worse things like doing drugs.” You shrug, taking another sip of your drink. “But I’m getting cute tattoos instead. And I love my brother, but sometimes he’s not very observant over things like that. I have done countless things with you guys that he doesn’t even know about.”

This piques Jihoon’s interest as you nonchalantly sip from your drink, a twinkle of mischief in your eyes.

“Does that mean I can still hold the blackmail of your nipple piercings you got 3 years ago over your head for you to do my bidding?” Jungkook smirks.

Jihoon is about to faint. He blinks the image out of his head multiple times. He needs to get out of here before he hears anything more that he isn’t supposed to hear.

“That was when I was drunk and stupid.” You hum, looking up at Jungkook. “But I mean, you can if you want. But do keep in mind I will let Eomoni know about how on the same day, you also got a piercing on your d-”

You yelp as you feel a swat on your arm by the flustered tattooed man before bursting out into laughter with the others as Jihoon steps out of the Cafe in a rush, cheeks flushed red and stomach growling. He immediately starts to jog again, needing to get his mind off the conversations he overheard in the Cafe.

It’s well after lunch time when Jihoon hears the front door open to see Mingyu and Junhui enter the living room. Jihoon lifts his head from his spot on the couch and nods his head in greeting to them, Mingyu’s soulmate emerging from the kitchen with a smile.

“Hi darling,” Wonwoo coos as he wraps Mingyu up in a gentle embrace. “How did the shoot go?”

“Tiring.” Junhui groans, falling onto the couch beside Jihoon. He notices that he was wearing the same attire that you and Jungkook were wearing in the cafe this morning.

“Not for me!” Mingyu grins. “But, Y/Nie did want to film a TikTok dance challenge with me so I didn’t feel left out.” He beams proudly now, eyes sparkling.

“Because she is a good person.” Wonwoo hums, nodding his head sagely. “How was she and the rest of the ninety seven crew?”

“They were good!” He smiles. “We had our monthly catch up at Eomoni Jeon’s Cafe and got to see some new designs Kookie was coming up with. I might get a little one to help him out.”

“You two are too alike.” Junhui laughs, leaning his head back over the edge of the couch. “Y/N and Soonyoung were ready to smack them both by the end of the shoot.”

“That’s because Jungkook kept wanting to fiddle with the video camera.” Mingyu whined. “That’s not my fault!”

“Of course it isn’t.” Wonwoo nods sympathetically, kissing his soulmate’s cheek.

Jihoon stays silent on the couch, listening carefully to the conversation going on around him, eyebrows furrowed as he took in the new information being fed to him.

“When is the video planning to come out?” Junhui lifts his head to the tall man, tilting his head.

“Let’s see… We did three choreos, the group dance, Y/N and Jungkook’s duo and Soonyoungie-hyung’s solo, it should take a week or so to edit. So like.. maybe two weeks max?” Mingyu thinks, lips pursed in thought.

Jihoon pauses for a moment as he hears the mention of you. A duet with Jungkook? Interesting. He makes a mental note to keep an eye out to watch the video when it’s released.

“Jihoon-ah,” Wonwoo calls out, causing him to blink back into reality.

“Hmm?” He hums in response.

“Soonyoung gave me a list for us for the trip. Did you want to come to the store with me tomorrow to go get everything so we only have to do one big shopping trip?”

“Yeah, sounds good.” Jihoon nods. “What do we need to get?”

“Just stuff for the tents, really.” Wonwoo thinks. “Some sleeping bags, heat packs, blankets, towels for the beach…”

“Mhm, we’ll get it all sorted.”

Jihoon honestly doesn’t know how he is going to go during the trip. The fact he is bringing his not-soulmate around his actual soulmate for a prolonged amount of time almost feels cruel and borderline sadistic for him to flaunt his girlfriend around you. You have been feeling fine lately. Jihoon doesn’t feel much sad emotions from you lately, and he wonders if his hope is misinterpreted as you being able to hide the pain better.

Later that night, Jihoon finds himself once again absentmindedly scrolling through his instagram app and landing onto your profile. The first post he sees is a new Reel posted an hour ago by you. You caption the video in dedication to Bada Lee, with a short explanation about how you didn’t do the dance justice. He chuckles at the sight of the first comment on said post; your older brother simply asking “WTF IS THAT ON YOUR SHOULDER?!”

In the video, you’re standing beside Mingyu and doing the new trending Smoke dance, your newly discovered tattoo peeking from under your tank top, taunting Jihoon. His eyes are wide as he watches you and Mingyu (mostly you) execute the dance perfectly, impressed with how well you both hit the signature ‘smoke you up’ dance move. At the end of the clip, you both get cut off as Soonyoung struts his way into frame, pretending to blow out the fake smoke coming from your Thumb-Lighter, causing the three of you to erupt in laughter before the screen fades to black. Jihoon’s reflection stares back at him, smiling. Once he realizes, he forces his face to turn back into a scowl. He can’t be smiling about another girl while he still has Ji-ah.

When he views your Story next, his cheeks begin to flush like it has done too many times today. You’ve shared a post from Soonyoung’s crew’s profile, a video filmed from the side of the dance studio of you and Jungkook. You’re both placed in the middle of the room, Vanilla by Kai playing on the speakers. The clip is only for 20 seconds, but Jihoon studies it thoroughly. He watches as your hands reach around from behind Jungkook and skim down his front, followed directly by Jungkook using his right arm to control how your body rolls in time to the beat and his direction. What sticks out the most to your soulmate, though, is the way Jungkook’s arm reaches over you, and in turn your head follows his arm movement, a sly smirk on your face as you turn your whole body to face him and maintain eye contact.

In Jihoon’s opinion, Jungkook looks like he’s about to pounce on you, and you don’t look too far off from returning the sentiment. He feels a pit forming in his stomach once more. His intrusive thoughts are cut short when the chorus of dancers in the room all scream excitedly at the chemistry between you and Mingyu’s best friend, causing the both of you to break character and start laughing. Jungkook puckers his lips playfully, causing you to roll your eyes and push Jungkook towards the cameraman, Mingyu with a smile and a shake of your head.

Jesus Christ, Jihoon. He thinks to himself. You really need to get your shit together. You can’t get jealous over a girl you don’t even want.

This is bullshit. Jihoon doesn’t actually like you. This is some stupid soulmate related shit. He read up about feeling closer connections because of the soulmate bond; that has to be it. His mind is just playing tricks on him.

With a sigh, Jihoon locks his phone screen and places it face down on his bedside table, rolling over and pulling the blankets up to his chin. He squeezes his eyes shut in an attempt to try and get some sleep and get the lingering thoughts about you out of his head.

“Do you think we should do the presentation as an essay or a slideshow debate style?”

It has been a week since Jihoon has last seen you, and if he’s honest, he’s been avoiding any place where you have been frequenting when he could. So far, he’s denied a morning coffee date with Ji-ah, a gaming night at your place with Soonyoung, and purposely showed up early to Film Studies class to sit at a random desk, leaving you to sit alone at the front. He’s decided enough is enough, he needs to keep this relationship strictly professional if he wants to maintain his relationship with Ji-ah. It’s now Friday afternoon, the only time where Jihoon absolutely has to be in your presence in order to get this project rolling.

“Hmm?” Jihoon blinks, looking up from his laptop, eyebrows raised. “Uhh.. you can pick.”

“Okay.” You hum quietly, looking back at your own laptop, continuing to work in silence.

Jihoon can feel the worry in your stomach, but he ignores it. He can be professional and cordial with you and not get feelings involved. He can’t, he won’t.

“What points have you made so far, so I can add them to my list to rebut?” Another bout of silence runs through both of you, and you notice that either your soulmate didn’t hear you, or is choosing to ignore you. “Jihoon-ssi?”

“Sorry?” He keeps typing, not lifting his head.

“Have I done something wrong?” You ask, closing your computer screen.

“What?” Jihoon stops now, looking up at you. “Why would you think that?”

“Because last week we were actually…” you pause, looking everywhere but at Jihoon. “I don’t know, at least getting along despite everything happening. And now, you’re acting like it’s a chore to be around me.”

Jihoon is floored for a moment. You’re a bit too observant for your own good. He opens his mouth to speak, but you keep going.

“And look, I get it. I’m the last person you would want to be around. I’m already jeopardizing everything you have with your girlfriend and everything else in this stupid situation, but I thought we were okay.” Your knee is shaking under the table, staring at the chipped wood instead of looking up at his face. “I know I’m already insufferable and you would prefer to be anywhere else but here. You know what…” you shake your head now, taking your laptop. “This was a mistake. I shouldn’t have put you in this crappy situation. I shouldn’t have been so stupid to think that we could be civil with each other. I will go see Professor Kim and tell him that we can’t work together and you can find someone else and I’ll just finish this project on my ow-”

Your soulmate cuts off your babbling by grabbing your wrist before you can stand up completely. His grip is firm but gentle as you fall silent, blinking the unshed tears from your eyes as you finally look at him.

This is the first time you have had skin to skin contact with your soulmate since that fateful day in the rain. You involuntarily shiver as you feel a zap run up the back of your spine, and your soulmate shivers in unison.

Jihoon is almost distraught at the sight of your heartbroken face up close. He, again, blames this stupid soulmate bond.

“I’m sorry.” He murmurs, keeping his hold on your wrist. “I am just going through some shit. It’s not you, I promise Y/N.” His gaze is intense as he looks into your eyes, your cheeks flushing. “I’m sorry if it made you think I was mad at you or something, I’m just in my own head right now.”

“I’m sorry,” you frown.

“Why? You didn’t do anything wrong. Just exist.”

“That’s the point.” You whisper now. “I exist. I am a wedge in the way of so many people right now. I know Cheol and Hannie want to plan on getting married soon but I still live in that house. Seokmin and Soonyoung only invite me to things because they feel sorry for me, and I feel bad even being in the same room with you knowing you love someone else.” Jihoon feels another crack hit your heart. “I just exist and am an issue for so many people. I’m more than happy to do this project alone, Jihoon-ssi.” You move to take your wrist out of his grip, but he just holds on tighter.

“I can’t speak for the others, but if I had an issue with you being my partner for this project, I would have gone to Professor Kim myself. I’m fine to do this project with you, Y/N, and I’m sorry if I made you think otherwise. Please, can you sit?”

You pause, watching your soulmate nervously before taking a long breath, slowly nodding and slipping back into your chair.

“I’m sorry for my outburst.” You mumble, rubbing at your eyes. “I get too far into my negative thoughts and…”

“It’s okay, I get it. And again, I can’t speak for the others, but from what I hear from Soonyoung, he and Seokmin are more than happy to have you around, if that makes you feel any better.”

You only nod silently, biting down on your bottom lip.

“Here, these are my notes.” He pushes his computer towards you, raising his eyebrows hopefully.

Jihoon may want to be civil and professional, but he’d be damned if he made a girl cry, no matter who it is.

“Have we got everything?”

Jihoon grumbles a tired ‘yes’ to Wonwoo, alongside Mingyu, Chan and Ji-ah as they carry their camping packs towards your house around the corner.

It has been two weeks since your supposed outburst in front of Jihoon. Since then, you have been quite reluctant and withdrawn when you have to speak with him, but to him, it’s expected. He chooses to just go with the flow when it comes to you, and let his instincts guide him, which seemingly has been going okay so far.

The sun is barely beginning to rise in the sky, Soonyoung lecturing all attendees for ‘Choi Seungcheol’s Birthday Bash’ to be at your house bright and early at 6:30am to be on the road by 7:00 for the four hour drive.

“The sun is barely up, I don’t know why I have to be.” Jihoon hears a groan from Seokmin as they see a large bus parked on the curb.

“Because you love hyung, and you want to be ready to have a fun trip with the people you love.” A tired, monotone voice coming from Jeonghan responds. There are three sleepy bodies standing outside, putting the camping gear in the luggage compartment underneath the bus. The three said bodies are Seokmin, Jeonghan and a chirpy Soonyoung, who happily waves when he sees his best friend show up.

“You made it!” He cheers happily.

“Mm.” Jihoon mumbles as he places his bags in the luggage area, Ji-ah leaning forward and giving him a soft kiss on the cheek.

“Soonyoung,” she smiles. “Thank you for inviting me along!”

“Oh, it’s nothing!” He waves his hand happily with a smile. “Really, the more the merrier! Go hop on and find a seat, we’re just about to take off.”

Jihoon is the last person of his housemates to step onto the bus as he eyes the seats. As he expected, the usual pairs of soulmates are together. Mingyu is with Wonwoo, just behind a sleepy Seungkwan and Hansol. Ji-ah takes a seat across from Mingyu and Wonwoo, Jihoon slipping in easily beside her. He eyes the next row of seats towards the front of the bus as he sees Chan sitting alone, Seokmin and Soonyoung taking place across from him. His eyes widen as he sees his last roommate, Junhui, step onto the bus with a tall man behind him, cheeks pink as they walk hand in hand. Said tall man adjusts his glasses with his free hand, his long dark hair pulled back in a ponytail.

“Oh, that’s why he hasn’t been home lately.” Wonwoo grins, eyebrows wiggling.

“Minghao is his soulmate?!” Mingyu grins excitedly. “Oh my gosh, wait until Y/N sees.”

At the mention of your name, you step onto the bus with Kkuma in your arms, eyes scanning the seats. Jihoon takes in the floral yellow dress you’re wearing with your hair pulled back into two braids tied with a yellow ribbon, cheeks tinting pink.

When you make eye contact with Mingyu, you mouth ‘MINGHAO?!’ with exaggerated wide eyes, which only garners a giggle and aggressive nod from Mingyu. You shoot him an impressed look which makes him laugh again, before taking a single seat diagonally across from Jihoon and Ji-ah alone, placing Kkuma on the empty seat beside you.

Seokmin and Soonyoung take their seats in front of you, before Jeonghan steps on with the birthday boy in tow.

“Okay everyone, are we ready to go?” Jeonghan calls out, smiling as everyone nods or mumbles a yes. “Then we are right on schedule!”

“Birthday bash!” Soonyoung starts to chant. “Birthday bash! Birthday bash!”

You start to giggle as the others start chanting, Seungcheol shaking his head with a fond grin, taking place in the front passenger seat as Jeonghan takes the driver’s seat.

Dear God, Jihoon thinks as Soonyoung cheers loudly, causing Chan to burst into giggles. This is going to be a long four hours.

Jungkook x Reader

Summary: You knew how handsome Jungkook was, but you also knew you didn't have a chance with him, so to befriend him was a safer option. But sometimes being kind can give the wrong idea...

“Did, you, hear?” my coworker Daniela asks with big pauses in between, I’m too busy with my morning reports that I didn’t notice when she sat on my desk “The new guy is going to be working on our floor for a few weeks” she informs me and I nod “Yep, you texted, emailed and told me that on the phone before I got here Dany” I say without taking my eyes off the computer screen.

Almost a month ago a new guy started working here and that’s all this office has been talking about since then. How handsome he is, how good he dresses, how lovely he talks… and the list goes on and on. Even though he had a month here, I haven’t actually seen him, besides, I went off vacations the week he started working on our floor.

Honeslty at this point he's not even the new guy anymore

“He’s just so handsome, his name is Jeon Jungkook, he’s a Virgo, 5’11”, went to Global Cyber University, and I swear, I’m in love.” She puts one hand on her chest and fans herself with the other. “Aw, good for you, stalker.” I say in a sarcastic tone “. I except my wedding invitation” I joke with a fake smile and she lets out an exaggerated sight. “He’s in the conference room with Namjoon and Taehyung, want to pass by to see him?” She suggests and gives me a small push on the shoulder “Did you say pass the conference room to see the new guy?” Jennie’s head pops out of her cubicle, I try not to laugh but I give in and accept “Only because it’s on my way to the cafeteria and I want my coffee” I say and she claps in excitement, I turn off my screen and hop off my chair. Jennie walks around the desk to loop her arm with mine and tugs me to start walking. As we pass by the long window, I spot the 3 men inside the room; Namjoon and Tae are facing our direction leaning on the meeting table talking to the Jungkook, who was giving his back to us. “Ugh, I swear he’s so handsome” Jennie says in a whisper, “I know right?” Daniela agrees, I try to look behind her head to take a better look at the new guy, but I only catch a glimpse of his profile. He has black hair and a really cute nose; his jaw looks really sharp and I see how many earrings he has and I think that’s what shocks me the most. “I can’t see his face but yeah he looks cute” I compliment, they agree with a giggle and I feel dumb remembering we are not teenagers anymore but sure act like it in the office.

While finishing our coffee and telling my friends how my vacations were, I hear the attempt of whispers coming from a certain area in the room, the 3 of us turn to see why there were loud whispers and it was all because the new guy was entering the cafeteria. I take a better look at him, handsome indeed. “Oh, so now I see why we’re all drooling for him.” I say and look at Daniela and she wiggles her eyebrows at me.“I heard Ari invited him for a drink and he said no” Jennie tells us and I can’t help but grimace. “Yeah? I heard it was Jihyo who invited him for dinner?” Daniela says in a question tone. “Her, Ari, Hanna and even Supervisor Yuri asked him out, but he keeps rejecting people, I mean come on, Ari? Who says no to her? Like the hottest one from the office?” Jennie rolls her eyes and I can’t help but laugh at her frustration. “Come on, he’s been here less than a month, let him breath.” I defend the poor guy, Daniela gives me a small push “You should ask him out Y/N, he looks like your type” she encourages me and I shake my head “Nop, if he rejected Ari and Hanna AND supervisor Yuri, then no.”

I take the last sip of my coffee and trash it out. Jennie and Daniela do the same and as we walk out the cafeteria, I hear someone call out the unfamiliar name of ‘Jungkook’ andby instinct I turn to see who called his name, I see there’s a coworker in front of Jungkook and he half smiles at her. I see his face with a “here we go again” expression, she gives him a small box with a bow on it and hear her ask if they could talk in private. I can’t help to chuckle thinking how we were just talking about this, he must’ve heard me because he turns to look at my direction, he stares at me but I can’t read if he’s mad about my laugh or just casually felt my gaze on him; I don’t turn away, I like how his eyes are dark brown but I still see a sparkly cute glow in them that make me want to keep staring. I start to feel conscious about how I haven't taken my eyes off him so I turn around a little ashamed and keep walking straight out of there back to my desk again.

Around 12, I feel so bored and try to distract myself with anything else I can do until I have my lunch break in 30 more minutes, so I decide to make Jimin a visit to his office to catch up on my days off, I take a fake deck of papers and walk to the elevator to go up, when I arrive to his floor, I greet his assistant and let her know that I need Jimin to sign a few documents; “Of course you do Miss Y/N” she jokes “He’s already waiting for you” she points with her head to his office and I try to not laugh.

Jimin and I meet here at work, even though we were side by side cubicle we would only exchange ‘HI’s’ and ´Good mornings´ the first couple of months, but one day I saw him reading one of my favorite books and started chatting more and book clubbing during our lunch hour, then he got promoted to a higher position and moved 2 floors higher, but even so we still kept meeting up and sneak in his office to gossip or just hide from our work responsibilities slash wait until lunch to run off.

I knock on his door and don’t wait to hear him say come in, “Excuse me Mr. Park, I need your very important signature on these reports” I fake a serious tone and I see him panic for a second before realizing it’s just me. “Oh Y/N! you’re back” he gets up and walks to hug me.

We sit on his sofa and catch up about work, my vacations, a few gossips that’s been going around the company and of course we talk about Jungkook.

Jimin and I pick a restaurant near the office close enough to walk to and invite our friends to join us. As we sit at our table Namjoon asks if it’s okay if Jungkook could join us, which we said it was fine, Jennie and I look at each other and giggled. The only chair free by the time Jungkook arrives is the one next to me and even if I told myself I wouldn’t try to ask him out that didn’t make me not be nervous. He greets us and we say hi back.

During our lunch I felt Jungkook too quit and I didn’t want him to feel left out “So Jungkook, how do you like the job so far?” I ask him and he turns a little confused at me “It’s fine, I’m okay” he answers and I expect for a little more than that but I realize that was all he is going to give me. I nod a little embarrassed and try again “That’s nice, and what about the city? Jimin told me you were from Busan” I do the small talk but again he answers with a few words “It’s nice, almost the same” I feel even more stupid and turn to finish my food.

And to think they said he was lovely…

For the rest of the lunch he would keep a conversation with the boys and that kinda made me a bit mad how he would chat with them but made me feel small…

Acting like Jikook never see each other because we haven’t seen them on camera is so laughable. Acting like it’s all for work is also laughable. Jungkook is hanging out with his friends, so what? The point I was making is, queer cleansing of an Artist's image is a real thing. Hollywood does it, kpop does it. However it's done as a way to salvage an Artist's image to improve their commercial viability.

Think of it this way, if Jungkook who has a tattoo has to appear on certain channels in SK, he was to cover up his tattoos. That is a form of cleanse. He is clearing up his appearance in order to appear consumable to an audience.

If a song is explicit, certain lines would have to be muted to clean it up.

Similarly, if a someone is mired in queer rumors, he will out a straight relationship to prove he is not queer or to detach from that image.

Lil Nas faked a queer cleanse recently to promote his new music- of course we over here knew it was a ruse. But apparently people took him seriously 🙄

He pretended he had "repented" the gay and was back into the church and was promoting conservative Christian values etc only to disappoint them all with a sike🥲🥲🥲🥲

It's very common for people who are queer to cleanse their image, to break away from any associations with the queer community or their queer identity by entering into "straight" relationships or marriage, converting to Christianity or whatever other means as a dramatic exit from queerhood.

It's a denunciation of a sort if you will.

And usually it's done to mitigate whatever negative impact your queer image is having on you either socially or commerciallly

For queer artists they do this by either "accidentally" revealing a relationship, (sort of like celebrities calling Paparazi on themselves) or allowing straight rumors to fly about them to suggest they are straight and to rebut any queer rumors surrounding them only to later recant this- openly or privately. It's a keeping it low sort of thing or going under the radar when you find yourself in controversies that are overwhelmingly adversely impacting you or that's imminently going to impact you.

But it's not always done just to hide something. Sometimes it's done to expose something.

Tae did the same thing with Jennie when he followed and unfollowed her. We all knew he had started seeing someone but we weren't in the know as to who it was and we wouldn't have known had he not pulled that "accidental" stunt.

Sometimes, they choose to post and delete where they "accidentally" post a text message photo etc and delete it immediately to make it seem it was inadvertent.

Some idols will post a rant and delete it to set the record straight on things or for Tae, post a get out of your imagination and delete. It's a brief quick statement of their intentions done in a way as to placate themselves.

It's all very manipulative and PR rubbish. Quite effective. But not very slick

So what I'm saying is, I understand OPS original post as them saying JK will be queer cleansing soon. And I don't know their reasons for believing that, it's their blog their opinion however I disagree with them.

Im saying I don't think he will or need to unless he's done something outrageously gay to warrant such a cleanse or unless his public image is been stinky lately that it's affecting him commercially.

Jikook comes off so real everyone trynna prove them false at this point. Tae Kook come off so false every one looking for the least evidence they are real.

And at first I used to think it was JMs Kumabaya ass that was driving him to always present their relationship positively out here but no. Now I think it's cos of all these pumpkin heads roaming the streets in 2D brains.

It's ok. Jikook can have issues too and STILL BE THE COUPLE OF THE GROUP.

And wherever there is a trio, I feel these issues are bound to arise every now and then.

Tae Kook is part of vminkook just as much as Jikook is a part of Vminkook. Whenever Jikook bond- tuktukkers are bound to feel they do so at the exclusion of Tae. Just as some Jokers feel right now that Tae kook are excluding Jimin because they don't see "evidence" of those two hanging out with JM.

But that is not our place to decide.

These men- I SAID MEN- Can decide for themselves. If JM feels left out nothing stops him from letting those two know.

I mean we've been through this phase already haven't we? Jikook complaining Tae don't have time for them because he was filming with all these other actors?

But yea sometimes the members themselves feel excluded, left out and Isolated every now and then. It happens. They feel lonely, they miss this, they miss that and they say it. Hobi says he misses JM, Tae says he misses JM.

Suga got ill and JM turned into OliLondon carrying his cutouts around so he feels included.

They hit eachother up, show up at eachother's homes, go for drinks, catch up- DO WHAT NORMAL HUMAN BEINGS DO WHEN THEY MISS THEIR FRIENDS.

So no, I'm not about to stress my edges off over two grown adults navigating a three way friendship.

But I can understand where jokers are coming from. Everyone wants their ship to thrive. Everyone wants assurance their OTP are doing fine and that there's nothing wrong with them and they going strong.

Yet I am in no position to offer that assurance to anyone. Nor am I open to any angsty supposition. I take Jikook as they come. It's their relationship not mine.

That said, if they try to break up I will find them, put a water pistol to their heads and intimidate them into exchanging vows🙂

If Jimin misses Tae Kook HE CAN CALL THEM UP.

And who even is to say he is not doing just that?

Most times I feel people deal in extremities- on one hand, there are those delusionally pessimist gang who think the worst case scenario is playing out with Jikook, and on the other hand there's the delusionally optimist who think nothing could ever be wrong.

After listening to Jimin explain how much Tae had changed, listening to tuktuk talk out their problems and hearing how the Busan bros nearly disbanded, I would be a fool to dismiss any tensions.

But the truth i feel sits somewhere in the middle.

Jikook really could be going through something( worse case)

They really could be going through nothing( best case scenario)

Or they could be JUST FINE but then having very human moments of being petty out of missing eachother, feeling left out, feeling the other is too busy, or becoming too overwhelming, being too prideful to pick up the phone to call and leaving words unspoke or just struggling to recalibrate their relationship because they are on different paths, with different goals and different objectives- not to mention schedules.

And I know I joke about this but for Jungkook, for someone who goes to another member's room to just sit there at 1am, I don't suppose he takes too well with being lonely.

Jimin equally talked about how he used to struggle being by himself because he was scared of his own thoughts.

These people deal with some serious stuff out there.

Jimin even intimated to Jungkook how lonely he feels.

They all nearly went crazy when they were forced to isolate because of covid. It's not easy.

Personally, I have always been one of the view Jikook were too close to codependent for their own good and have always advocated for independence and just a little space for each to nurture and foster healthy relationships with other people.

Jungkook cannot just substitute JM with Taehyung. Because then, like you said it would be the same cycle. You can't fill the void left by people with people and things and Jungkook is a smart guy to know this.

Tae Kook begun laying the foundation for whatever dynamic we are seeing out here long before they announced their Solo. From their sope conversation, to end of year selca, Tae Kook min vlive, to them posting eachother and liking the others post.

I don't know why it has some people in a twist😆

He’s known Kai for a long time and not once have seen him like this. Honestly, these days Soobin or Taehyun are the ones comforting Kai but seeing as they’re not here it’s up to Beomgyu to try to cheer up his friend.

“Come on Hyuka why are you crying when you can be grinding.” A plushy danced in Kai’s face as Beomgyu changed his voice “Because this video is sponsored by raid shadow legend-“Beomgyu continued but Kai’s chuckle cut him off “You’re an idiot”

Grabbing your sheets, you begin to groan “Oh stop” he laughed ripping them off of you. You lay on your side while your Hello Kitty pjs clung onto you from all the sweat. “Ew you say you’re cold but you’re sweating like crazy”

He grabbed your arms and pulled you to sit up and of course, you fought him all the way there “Come on let’s get you clean, you smell like a middle school boys' locker room” he said and he could’ve sworn he heard you giggle but it was just his head missing your laugh.

I’m tired of people pushing this narrative of Tae and Jimin not being friends anymore. How they fake their friendships and how their soulmate thing is all a lie. What a bunch of losers.

They think that just because they haven’t seen them together that means they don’t talk. Imagine if people around you asked if you were still friends with one of your besties because you weren’t posting them as much on social media… that would be fucking crazy. I don’t have any personal social media accounts, so I must have 0 friends according to these lowlifes.

Taehyung and Jimin probably still talk on the phone, text, FaceTime, hang out together in their own private homes… for fucks sake, they still talk on Weverse lives and in the comments of posts, what more do these people want?

I’ve also seen this same rhetoric about Jimin and Jungkook as well, many people saying that they’re not close or that they don’t hang out when the two of them have spent many lives and interviews post-BTS hiatus talking about one another or to one another. Jungkook even watched a lot of Jimin’s FACE promotional content on top of his various television and music sprees.

I think a lot of these people just feel entitled to the boys and their personal life. They want to be part of the conversations, the fly on the wall. It’s fucking crazy for anyone to assume that just because they’re not seeing them post about one another or hang out on live.. that they’re not friends. I haven’t seen Taehyung hang out with Namjoon recently, so they must not be friends! See how dumb this sounds??

Jungkook didn’t post on social media for an entire year one time and the members rarely posted him as well. Are we meant to assume that all of the BTS members at that time didn’t care about him? This stuff is really stupid and is usually pushed by antis and solo stans.

Also, if you’re looking for proof about them hanging out through paparazzi and sasaeng photos… you’re sick. They’re humans. They should be able to hang out outside of the house without being followed by stalkers and corporate goons trying to make a quick buck off of them.

Please be fucking normal. Why are you making assumptions about people that you haven’t personally met and that you don’t personally know?

Y/N: Meet me at the auditorium after you finish class? I’ll be helping the Jeongyeon and the girls with their Vocal project and then we can go to the library.

Jihoon rereads your text for the fifth time as he makes his way towards the auditorium with a sigh, looking up at the sky as the sun tries to peek out from behind the clouds. It’s a Friday afternoon, Ji-ah has just sent him off with a kiss and a smile as she leaves campus to take the train back home to her family as per usual, leaving him alone for the weekend. He winces into direct sunlight with a scowl before trudging inside the large building.

Jihoon blinks at the sound of five distinct voices harmonizing together on the empty stage, and he recognizes that the voices belonged to your five girlfriends, Jeongyeon, Jihyo, Momo, Dahyun and Nayeon. He spots you sitting at the piano at the side of the stage, playing a simple melody as the girls sing into the empty theatre. He is captivated at how well the girls’ voices all blend together.

“Heaven forbid someone whisper ‘he’s part of some scheme’,” Jihyo sings. “Your enemy whispers,”

“So you have to scream!” The girls harmonize, and Jihoon’s eyes widen as you sing alongside them from the piano, still playing flawlessly.

“I know about whispers,” Momo’s voice is soft and delicate.

“I see how you look at my sister...” Your voice is clear as a bell as your voice projects through the room. Jihoon feels like time has stopped as he hears you.

“Don’t!”

“I’m not naive, I have seen women around you,” Dahyun’s voice is deep and angry, singing with emotion, your voice harmonizing behind her. He can’t keep his eyes off you.

“Don’t think I don’t see how they fall for your charms,” Jeongyeon and Jihyo sing together, facing each other and locking eyes.

“All of your charms!” Everyone sings together.

They’re good, Jihoon thinks to himself. Really good.

“I’m erasing myself from the narrative,” the girls all sing in a ladder, overlapping each other with precision.

“Let future historians wonder how Eliza reacted when you broke her heart,” their harmonies are on point, Jihoon can feel goosebumps rise on his skin.

“You have thrown it all away, stand back and watch it,”

“Burn~”

The harmony echoes through the empty seats, Jihoon now sitting at the end of the front row to listen.

“Just watch it all burn,” he keeps his eyes on you, singing full heartedly as you keep playing the piano without missing a beat. Your eyes are glued to the sheet music in front of you as the rest of the girls stay put in their spot.

Jihoon stays quiet in stunned silence as you, alongside your friends sing the rest of the song together in perfect harmony. He’s shocked at how polished the performance is, you all have clearly put a lot of time and effort into it.

“If you thought you were mine,” it’s almost like the girls were competing with each other for the best belt for the finale, but at the same time their voices overlapping fits the song perfectly.

“Don’t.” The song stops sharply and abruptly.

The girls are all looking expectantly at you, and you turn on the chair to smile at them.

“I think you’re ready.” You beam. “Like seriously, that was the best you’ve all sounded yet.”

“Really?” Momo smiles back at you, taking both of your hands in hers.

“Really!” You nod excitedly.

“I personally think we only sound this good because of you.” Jihyo smirks, hugging around you from behind, your laugh echoing in the room as she plants a kiss on your cheek gratefully.

“Oh hush, you.” You swat her hands playfully as the others laugh with you.

Your laugh is foreign to Jihoon, but he wouldn’t mind hearing it more often, he decides.

“I agree with Ji.” Jeongyeon hums, bumping her hip with yours. “Your voice was just what we needed to make it perfect. It’s a shame that you have to hide behind that big piano though. We need you center stage with those golden pipes.”

“Then who else will play the music, silly?” You snark back, smiling.

“We can easily find a backing track, miss smarty pants.” Dahyun raises her eyebrow as Nayeon points to her with wide eyes.

“She has a point, Bug.”

“And risk the performance fucking up because we trusted a machine?” You cross your arms with a pout. “I’m happy behind the piano, you know that.”

“Excuse me!” Jihyo’s voice now booms towards your soulmate, who was now sitting up, startled at the volume of her voice. “This is a closed practice! Women only!”

“I..”

“Yah! Have some decorum!” You throw a bottle of water at her with a laugh. “It’s just Jihoon. We need to go study for Film Studies.”

You roll your eyes with a grin as all the girls rush to grab you. But you’re faster, jumping off the edge of the stage and leaning beside Jihoon with your backpack in hand.

“No fair! You don’t get to steal her away!” Momo whines and stomps her foot, making you laugh and wave at the girls.

“Unfortunately, he does. Unless you want me to fail and stay behind for a year.” You smirk as they all relent. “Good job today, my loves! Same time next week yeah?” You blow them all kisses as they repeat the gesture back to them. “Sorry, did I take too long?” You ask your soulmate quietly as he trails out of the auditorium behind you.

“Uhh, no.” He finds his voice after a beat of silence, cheeks slightly pink. “Not at all.” Your angelic voice is still ringing in his ears.

“Sorry about them,” You wave your hand back at the building. “They tend to make goodbyes a drawn out affair so I tried to be quick.”

“It’s fine.” He nods, and you release a breath you didn’t realize you were holding, walking to the campus library with Jihoon in silence.

Jihoon watches you from the corner of his eye as you walk together, suddenly more withdrawn and quiet. If you were a flower, Jihoon would’ve thought you just wilted right in front of him.

“Do you think people will sit back and think about that?”

“This is exactly what this project is about!” You chirp, pushing the laptop towards him. “Think about it. Tony Stark is obviously a fan favourite, both in the comics and the cinematic universe.” You’re pointing out graphs on the screen. “Everyone was on his side when Civil War came out. I bet you were too.”

“I mean, yeah, I suppose.” Jihoon raises his eyebrow at you.

“Which brings me back to my point.” This is the most animated he’s seen you be towards him, scribbling down on a notebook in front of you both. “Bucky is not to blame for Tony’s parents death. Yes, he is the one who caused their deaths, but he was under the mind control of Hydra. He was not in his right mind to control his own decision making due to the fact he was literally being controlled by these crazy bastards.”

Jihoon opens his mouth to speak.

“I know what you’re about to say,” you counter before he speaks. “You’re going to say ‘but he still did it.’ I mean, he did do it but if I hypnotized you to be a killing machine that you literally couldn’t stop yourself from being said killing machine, would you have the power to stop me? The answer is no. Bucky didn’t deserve the witch-hunt he was faced with, and Steve was completely justified in protecting his best friend. Bucky even felt guilty about it when Tony confronted him.”

“Tony was Steve’s friend too, though.”

“Who he knew for what, five minutes?” You quip back. “If your childhood best friend made a mistake and spent his entire life in agony against his will, tried to defend himself from your new friend of two years, who would you be picking?”

“… you make a point, Choi.” He hums, nodding his head sagely. “Yeah, okay, this is good. This will get them talking.”

“And it’s perfect, because we can discuss both sides!” You smile. “Even though I’m on Bucky’s side.”

Jihoon lets out a chuckle, with a little smile on his face. “I’m happy with that idea if you are?”

“Really?” You sit up straight, blinking owlishly. “You don’t have any ideas?”

“I mean, I had a few ideas but they were all pretty one sided. This idea works well because we can say the views from both sides.”

You blink again before giving Jihoon a little smile. His heart skips a beat involuntarily. “Okay, let’s do that then.”

“I can work on the Stark side and you can work on the Barnes side and we can discuss?” Jihoon pulls out his own pen and paper, starting to jot down a few notes. “We should only do a few ideas now and next week we can meet up to watch the film to draw out some points.”

“Sounds good to me.”

You nod your head quickly as you both get to work, the only sounds between you both being your pens and the occasional clicking of the keyboard of the laptop between you both.

Every so often, Jihoon feels like he can feel your eyes on him, but every time he sneaks a glance, your eyes are firmly on your notebook, diligently writing line after line of dot points on your page. It must be his imagination.

Every few moments, he spots you reaching up and rubbing at a spot on your collarbone like you have an itch, and he feels his curiosity growing but decided to leave it be for the sake of the project.

“I heard you were helping out with auditions..” you trail off softly as you walk by Jihoon’s side, two hours after your study session had begun. The sun is setting in the sky now as you shove your hands in your pockets. You’re standing on the outer side of the sidewalk, feet ghosting over the lip of where the concrete meets the road.

“Sure am.” He drawls, kicking at a rock on the pavement. “Why do you ask?”

“Oh, no reason,” You shake your head quickly. “I was just going to ask how it’s going.” Your eyes stay focussed on your feet. Jihoon spots your neck flushing pink.

“It’s not bad.” He shrugs. “But I don’t know how you can work with some of those actors. Almost all of them can’t sing for shit.”

You let out a cough as you seemingly choke on your own saliva, a laugh escaping your throat. “They’re not that bad, Jihoon-ssi.”

Jihoon feels like it’s so formal when you address him now. There is still the occasional moment you will call him simply Jihoon, but never Oppa. Not since the incident.

“They are bad when you have to hear the same rendition of ‘Mamma Mia! Here I go again. My my, how can I resist you?’ for four hours.” He groans, your amused smile growing on your lips as he speaks. “Why didn’t any of your friends audition? They sound a whole lot better than anyone else who sang.”

At the mention of your friends, you perk up a bit. “Believe me, I’ve tried. But they’re happy in their little show choir. I insisted that they would easily get the main role if they just showed up to audition, but they argued with me every step of the way.” You sigh, shrugging your shoulders. “So, I gave up.”

“Hmm, pity.” He hums. “It would’ve been better than who they’re deciding for callbacks.”

You nod along with him, and just as you’re about to respond, Jihoon beats you to the punch.

“You would’ve been good, too.”

Your cheeks immediately flush a deep red, turning your head to look away. “Uhh, thanks.”

“I mean, it isn’t a compliment.” Jihoon retorts. Your shoulders sag. “Well, I mean… it is, I suppose.” He immediately tries to mend things. “But coming from someone who sadly has perfect pitch, you, Jeongyeon and the others were the best singers I’ve heard all month.”

“Thank you, Jihoon-ssi.” You smile softly at your soulmate before flinching and taking a quick step towards him.

You were standing a bit too close to the road as a car sped past you, almost knocking you off your feet if it wasn’t for Jihoon to catch you by the loop of your backpack. He swiftly maneuvers you to walk on the inside of the path, now standing in your original spot without blinking an eye or missing a stride.

“It’s fine.” He acts like nothing happened. “And, if it’s too much for your rehearsal, or whatever.. I’ve been trained in piano since I was in middle school. So, uh… I could play the backing track for you if you wanted to focus on singing with the girls… if you wanted.” It was his turn to turn red as he walked, stammering. He truly didn’t intend on offering this to you, he just let it slip out like word vomit. “I don’t have anything to do after school on Friday’s since Ji-ah usually leaves for her family, so I mean if you guys wanted I could help out.”

He was babbling and probably repeating himself now. Oh god, can you please shut him up.

“Oh..” your eyes are wide as you stare at him. “I mean, I can check with the girls… but are you sure? You really don’t have to if you don’t want to.” Jihoon feels it. Your nerves begin to swirl in the pit of your stomach, the doubt and worry running through you as you question everything.

“It’s fine.” He insists. “Really, I love playing the piano anyway so this is just like a holiday for me. Honest.”

“Then, yeah.. sure.” You nod slowly as your walking slows as you reach the block before your house. “I’ll ask the girls and see. Thank you.”

“Sure.” He hums, hands stuffed deep in his pockets.

“And… uh… before you leave.” You pause at your front gate. Jihoon stops and turns to face you, eyebrows raised in curiosity. “Soonie told me to ask you… usually this time of year leading up to Cheol’s birthday, we usually go on a big camping trip. This year we’re going to Busan and Jeonghan has told us to invite anyone who we think would want to go.”

You’re kicking at the invisible dust on the ground. “Soonie knew I was meeting up with you for the project so he told me to ask if you and Ji-ah want to come. It’s in a couple of weeks from now so you don’t have to decide yet, but the offer is there.”

“Oh, that sounds fun.” He nods slowly. “I’m from Busan, so that’d be nice.”

“And you guys wouldn’t have to worry about getting a ride there!” You insist quickly. “Jeonghan is hiring a bus so you guys can just tag along- wait, what did you say?”

“It’d be fun..?” Jihoon repeats himself before you let his words process through your brain. You blink and nod your head quickly.

“Oh, okay. Good.” You step inside the gate. “I’ll get Soonie to text you the details?”

“Sounds good, thanks.” Your soulmate nods again, a ghost of a smile on his face.

“Thanks for walking me home, Jihoon-ssi. Have a good night.” You bowed your head before turning around, rushing to the front door of your home.

“Goodnight.” Jihoon mumbles, the door already closed behind you. Once he knows you’re not going to go out again, he turns around and continues his walk home.

“Ladybug? Is that you?” You hear Jeonghan’s voice coming from the kitchen.

“Yeah. It’s just me, Oppa.” You call back, stepping into the room and giving him a quick hug.

“It’s late. Did you walk home on your own?” Seungcheol steps into the room at the sound of your voice, hand on his hip.

“No, I had to study with Jihoon-ssi, remember?” You lean against the counter with a little smile. “He walked me home, it’s on his way.”

“Oh, how chivalrous of him.” He cooed playfully, making you roll your eyes.

“Oh please.” You wave your hand. “He probably only did it because you would’ve murdered him if he didn’t walk me home, or had someone organized to get me.”

“This is true.” Your brother smirks, reaching out and ruffling your hair. You have a small smile on your face that doesn’t go unnoticed by Jeonghan, who watched you with a raised brow.

“Hannie-Oppa,” you turn to said man. “Jihoon and Ji-ah are confirmed to be coming to Busan too, Soonie invited them.”

“Ji-ah?” Cheol asks, tilting his head.

“His girlfriend.” You mutter, Jeonghan’s eyebrows raising so high up that he’s surprised they haven’t touched the ceiling.

Girlfriend. Interesting.

Memories 2021 Discs 1 - 3

So I asked again when I said I was going to watch memories in full if you would be interested in commentary from me as I did so. There were a lot of people who said yes, so here we are! I have officially watched BTS Memories of 2021. Here are my thoughts as I went. There were 7 DVDs in this one. Reminder that these aren't going to be smoothly written out thoughts. You get these like I'm live reacting, texting my bestie or live tweeting. Lol it'll be in like bullet point format sort of, just... a commentary post as I go. Lol Hope you enjoy anyway! Let's go!

Disc 1

BTS PTD On Stage in Seoul:

The whole first Disc and half of Disc 2 was just the concert. Which was their online concert in Seoul before they were able to go do their PTD Concerts in the US later that year. This concert was held on 211024. I'm honestly not going to talk about this too much as for memories I'd rather get to focus on all the making films and behinds, which is what yall are really wanting my thoughts over I'm sure. Lol but I love watching them perform. I remember watching this concert for the first time and all the timeline meltdowns over the stages. I love JK giggling so hard and something 2seok said to him that he could barely sing during life goes on too, as well as telling all his haters to f**k off this concert too! Love it 🤣 and I adored how Tae kept encouraging everyone saying they were doing a good job and the other 6 members kept checking on him and otherwise including him, even from afar at times in the parts they would normally do together that they couldn't since Tae was chair bound due to his knee injury. How they all gathered around Tae while singing Airplane pt 2 😭 I missed seeing him front and center with everyone else for sure. And their voices are so crystal clear and beautiful and lovely 😍

Disc 2

Seoul D-Day Making Film:

Everyone arrives to the venue VISIBLY NERVOUS. Ugh my babies. They are so cute. Everyone eating before the concert, staff providing some really yummy food. JK and Jin both sharing and joking a bit over not being able to sleep from nerves. JK ticking Jimin to get his attention and telling him that he the food looks delicious. Lol Post over that Here. And the shared smiles between everyone as they start shaking off nerves and sleepiness. Everyone's concern for Tae and wanting him to not push it and rest and get better during that first meeting. They love him. Jimin hugging on Hobi for warmth during the start of rehearsals. Cuties. Not even 5 minutes in and I'm going to start to cry!! Tae staring at the floor all sad during B&G rehearsals as he had to sit away from the group. Jimin singing for rehearsals while staring at Tae who is staring sadly at the floor and the captions telling us they were planning to sing this part while looking at each other and being next to each other originally 😭 my heart! Tae dancing lightly during sound heck regardless of his injury and afterwards when leaving the stage, JK running up to check on him and ask how he is feeling after all that. God, my heart can't handle all the affection and care they give each other. Jinkook randomly bickering over the Fire Performance lol and then Jimin showing up to sit with JK and review the songs/set. And boy do they sit close and practically on top of each other. And their super soft tones 🥺 Post Here. They are so cute for real. Hopekook joining the pre-show ARMY chat and talking with ARMY. Their giggles 😍 I love seeing it from their side too.

Everyone getting ready to go up on stage and Jimin lightly tapping Tae on the cheek in encouragement and everyone telling him to get better soon. Ugh. All this babying and loving on Tae makes me so happy. Cant forget about Jin choking Tae on stage during DNA lmao The editors making fun of us during a few clips of the Black Swan saying ARMY couldn't make up their minds about both wanting BTS to cover up but also unbutton more 🤣 Jimin walking off stage to get ready for the encore with Tae. I don't think they left this man alone once! And then Jimin again walking with Tae after the concert. Jimin offering to carry Tae since he is limping a bit and holding his hand and cheering him up and sticking by his side 😭 it really is so touching seeing how much they love and take care of each other. Jimin is such a good friend. Jin looked so cute walking out of the stadium in his little hair bow. And yoongi looked like a whole dream in his sweater!

Seoul Self Cam Interview:

This was cute little self cams where they each walked around the stadium and talked pre concert about how they are feeling, their worries and hopes for this concert and future concerts. As well as mostly just talking about how much they miss army and performing for army in person.

They also did a small interview based on the PTD lyrics that was really cute. Hobi said he avoids overeating, drinking and working out to prep for concert day. Tae answered that his favorite part would be the new intro for Butter and how much he liked it and how he thinks ARMY will love it (we did)! Yoongi saying they were hit with the wall of reality when it was realized for sure they couldn't have army at the concert and that it was hard. 🥺 JK saying that youth is a feeling and it's about the present moment. Jimin was called BTS's mood maker and said that On, Save Me and Idol reflected BTS's energy on stage together really well. Namjoon was the best leader and said that even though they've known each other forever and don't need to talk to know things about each other, it's always still important to keep talking and keeping telling each other I love you so that they make sure they always know it. Jin saying that Idol is his comfort song from the set list because it's upbeat and fun but also has meaningful lyrics.

Disc 3

PTD Merch and Poster Making Film:

They look so cute and stunning during their solo shoots! Hobi pretending to flatline during JKs photoshoot is so funny 🤣 he gets it. Lol the funniest quartet for a unit, taekooknamseok! JK couldn't play the prop drums on set so he and Tae instead obnoxiously drum on the table while waiting for photos 🤣 and Jimin with yoonjin who all randomly start reminiscing about BV1! They are so cute. Jimin, our little fairy, with the cutest poses on his solo shoot too. Lol the first shoot of the group photos we see and JK is smiling so big while everyone else is serious and his "oops" face as he notices and gives a more serious expression too is so cute! And not JK unbuttoned his shirt further for the next set of ot7 photos! 🤣

During the poster shooting when they are on a break and getting retouched up, Tae keeps reaching up past JK and Hobi to mess with Jimins hair or ear. Lmfao and the first time Jimin thought it was JK and the second time he turned around, realized it was Tae and tried to get around Hobi to go get him back 🤣 their giggles!! And Tae doesn't stop! Lol even DURING the photos he reached over to try and ruffle Jimins hair again 🤣🤣 Jinkook immediately play boxing and fighting as soon as they *think* the shoot is over lol just to have to get back into photo mode again. Staff asking Jin to please fold his arms for the photo. Jimin instead taking Jins hand to hold it in his own and Jin holding onto Hobis arm. All of them cracking themselves up 🤣 2seok giving ending comments of the video at the exact same time and being asked if they planned it. "No, we are just naturally in sync" 🥺😍 JK leaning over Yoonjins shoulders and Jin just holding onto JKs hand over his shoulder with both of his hands so cutely 😭🥰

PTD VCR Making Film:

Everyone shooting their individual mug shoot scenes and the editors just going "they aren't troublemakers. They are so cute." Relatable content 🤣 and then we of course just have Jimin handcuffing himself to Jungkook for fun. Post over the Handcuffs Here Lol and Hobi dying laughing when Jimin wiggles himself out of the handcuffs without even needing to open them! And when staff was telling Tae about the paperclip scene he looked so baby and innocent and then he actually did the scene and the vibe change 😳

We then moved on to the next VCR set with the Vmonkook unit! Lol Tae valiantly trying to teach Namjoon how to hold the pool stick so sweetly. And eventually the staff just taking the stick away from Joon and giving it to JK and saying that Joon can just drink something instead and taekook will play pool for the shoot 😅🤣 JK sliding across the pool table "like a seal" to get into position for all 3 of them to look over their "suspicious plans" and making Vmon laugh so hard when it's supposed to be a serious scene. Lmao they are so funny.

And we get the next subunit! Which is SopeJinMin and I love them. 2seok are the cutest with the tiny dancing together on the bench. I love them. The absolute chaotic dance party that they had. Lol and when reviewing the footage Jhopes absolute excitement and hype over Jimins shirt riding up when he was jumping around dancing. Telling him he should raise his arms up more so that his abs flash more often 🤣 Jimin saying that he untucked his shirt before the shoot so that we would get "accidental" ab flashes. I need him to chill!! Lol

Ot7 shooting at the PTD general store. Lol Jimin taking the paper towels from set to give to his mom 😭🤣 they are so sweet. Jhope and Jimin acting out a skit where Jhope buys Jin in a shopping cart 🤣🤣 lol and then JK coming out and seeing what's going on and taking over to violently spin the cart around like crazy with Jin in it. They are insane 🤣 and the little kids on set laughing so hard and thinking it's so fun so JK picks her up and spins her around in his arms a bunch too 😭😭 MY HEART to which Jimin comes to return the favor and scoops JK up and spins him too. Lol JK smiling so big 😍 He also then has JK get on his back and when Hobi asks JK how much he weighs lately, JK answers and says he has lost some weight recently, to which Jimin confirms saying that yes, he has been lighter lately. And JK then picks Jimin up too. Man, they HAVE to just be constantly picking each other up everywhere they go lol. Taekook and their new shoulder bump handshake they do before filming kicks off again is so cute. Jimin giving the little girl a balloon and touching her chin so cutely before giving a mischievous smirk over his shoulder at JK who tried really hard not to smile at how cute Jimin was being. God, they are all so cute and sweet and silly. Vmin hanging out and giving cute dancing tips to the little girl and then she dances with all 7 of them. She must've had the best day!! And I'm adding my post over some more of the jikookery moments in the VCR Making Film Here too.

PTD Practice Making Film:

I can't believe we are kicking this making film off with my yoonmin loves playing basketball together. What a good way to start practice!! My yoonmin basketball post. This was day 1 of ptd practice and it took place on 211012. We of course have dance leader Hope! And Hobi just trying to get everyone going and into position for the end of On, and we have taekook alternatively smacking/hanging off each other and off Hobi himself with Joon also trying to get them to chill. Only for Jin to grab JKs butt as they get into their line up 🤣🤣 the beautiful chaos. Hobi giving Yoongi instruction. Jimin in the background feeling up JKs abs just because he can lol JK started to yank Jin back and forth by the neck of his hoodie and Jimin retaliating for Jin by flicking JKs nipple 😂 JK wrestling Jin down and laying on the back of his head (like a tortured verison of their butter A lol) and everyone just ignoring their antics as per usual. IM NOT EVEN 2 MINUTES IN THIS VIDEO IS SO CHAOTIC! Everyone gets more serious for Black Swan though as it has a new intro. Hobi counting out the beat for them and then turning and clarifying the count with Jimin as for which one they move on. I love when we see our main dancers take charge and lean on each other like that. Vmin just giving each other a big hug during their fake love practice 🥺 JinKook fighting over who can make their hand go up higher during the ending pose lol. And then we have 3J discussing practice and concert logistics during the break and deciding what to do before they end practice for the day 🥺 Hobi leading practice for the new Butter intro and helping everyone make sure they nail the moves. When Jimin accidentally messes up his arm placements after they review the film of the practice, Jimin goes and curls up in JKs neck. Lol his safe place for sure 😍 My Post for that moment here. They work so hard. TaeJin dancing together so cutely!! Jimin getting caught by JK about to pour water over him when Jimin thought his eyes were closed 😂 JK then wearing and ending up napping on Jimins beanie and Tae waking him up in the cutest and most softest way. My Nap post here. Tae giving suggestions for a better stage and everyone praising him for his good ideas 🥺

The next day of practice is once again kicking off with yoonmin playing basketball together. I wonder if most of their practice sessions start off that way while they wait for everyone to either get there or be ready to get started. That would be really cute. Day 2 was the very next day and actually also Jimins BIRTHDAY! We know because his outfit (minus the hoodie he wore in the live) and accessories and hairstyle match up perfectly with when he went live for his birthday. So did JKs outfit match up. Suga always noticing Hobis cute acorn bags. 🥺 which led to trainee day memories of Suga having a similar bag and Tae kept taking it, which Jin then mentioned that Tae kept stealing his jacket back then too. Lol Poor Tae 😂 Jimin saving his soulmate by starting practice back up again for Black Swan 🤣 Chaos reigns during Stay Practice. Lol Yoongi dipped to just go shoot more hoops. Tae randomly finds and starts playing a trombone and Jin and JK take turns holding a mic up to make his playing louder in turn with their singing. Lol Jimin just dying laughing through it all. Jimin being shy about Save Me and starting it off solo and holding onto JK to try and make him stay with him. Lol which he ends up coming back to stay with Jimin! And teases him with the save me choreo, with Tae also joining them. The Save Me jokes will never die! Jimin also being the biggest Young Forever fanboy and looking like the happiest person ever cheering on Hobi during his verse 😍 JK lifting Jimin in the air and Jimin holding a pose while he sings and JK slowly spins him in the air like an angel. Lol please they are so cute 😭😍 It fit so well!!! Jimin being the angel he is on his birthday! Vhopemin jumping in a little mini dance circle is so cute. I love these practice films! PTD Rehearsal Making Film:

The video basically opens up with them all filming their solo shoots that will be their mirrors for Blue & Grey. And just unnecessarily showing us namkook working out in Black Swan outfits while waiting their turn 😅🤣 they get all wrapped up for rehearsals in the cold. Jimin decided he wanted to film Tae and chases him around the entire stadium filming him as Tae runs away 🤣 Hopekook loving the cold and dancing to stay warm. Yoongi once again pointing out Jhopes cute acorn bag 🥺 Tae comes and whispers something to JK with his mischievous smile and JK clearly didn't feel quite up to making trouble and Tae was all why notttt before checking something under his shirt and then moving on to go dance for Jin and Jimin. What was he wanting?! 🤣🤣 random cuts of Jikook dancing and goofing off together through the whole soundcheck are so cute. And of course, Jinkook boxing. Yoongi climbing up on the couch for BWL and the editors adding cat ears too him and captioning it like he climbing a cat tree 😭🤣 Jikook talking about Blue and Grey with the director and Jimin borrowing JKs mic to do so. And JK just sticking around, waiting for Jimin so they can leave together 🥺🥺 My Post over that Here. And Jin being so sad about something making his white jacket stained 😭 Jimin talking to cameras in the corner, with JK just chilling right there with them. Those two are stuck like glue always. Well, JK is there until he thinks Namjoon stole his shoes, then he is chasing Joon down yelling for his shoes back. They weren't his shoes though lmfao! Poor Joon. Wrongfully accused 😂 Jhope coordinating where they will pick up with rehearsals tomorrow with staff. He really does such a great job helping everyone stay focused and works so hard! It's amazing to see.

Day 2, dress rehearsal time! Jimin in his sleeveless tank for the first set, the staff were worried about him so he said one of the staff gave him his jacket to wear so he wouldn't catch a cold 🥺 and they show us Tae starting to limp and getting hurt. Nooooo 😭 god. Watching him hurt is so upsetting. The members go through more of the Rehersal while Tae leaves to go sit with the med team and get checked out. Everyone taking a break as soon as possible and immediately hustling over to go check on Tae. 😭 Jimin literally sticking to him and keeping a hand out for him when they are walking back to the stage to finish rehearsing even if Tae sits through the choreo. He is so upset and everyone is clearly worried for him too. Tae leaves to go to the ER and Jimin shouting to call them as soon as he is done 🥺 but they all continue through for the rest of the Rehersals. Jikook jumping off the couch at the end of BWL and going for a hug or light touch or something but we get cut straight into Dynamite without seeing their cuteness! Jimin was cutely snuggled up to Jin though for a bit on the couch! Joonie getting so distracted by dancing with Jimin to the Dynamite live band that he forgot his cue to go high five/trade center stage places with Jungkook and JK turns and was confused to not find RM 🤣 oops! Jimin does a weird pose on stage. Jin, no questions asked, just poses with him. The way these guys match each other's energy is my favorite thing. Lol jikook randomly rock paper scissorsing on the carts. And Hobi being the cutest cart driver. My favorite being their adorable weird came out of no where, matching each other's energy jumping conga line during Idol. Lmfao JK imitating Jimins spring day dance over and over and looking at Jimin every time to make him and everyone else laugh is so precious. Yoongi singing Tae's spring day parts since he isn't there 🥺😭 And then JK joining yoonmin for their back to back part, leaning on them both and then just hanging out tucked onto Jimins shoulder for a bit. He is so cute 🥺 the way Yoongi was making Jimin laugh by covering all of Vs parts! Jikook walking off stage together, arms around each other, loudly thanking everyone and everything for their hard work. Each other. The staff. The chairs. Even the moon! Lol and they also mentioned Tae who they were missing! They are so cute. Jimin giving his ending thoughts to the camera while holding his phone and texting Tae the whole time who was telling Jimin he had watched the rest of the rehearsals too. I love that they were in contact as soon as they could be. You know Jimin was worried as was everyone else! And adding my post at the end here about extra Jikookery during these Rehearsals. I love seeing how hard they all work for real!

And this brings me to the end of the first 3 discs of memories 2021 and the end to part 1 of my thoughts over memories 2021. Which is mostly about how much I love all 7 of these guys and how much I admire their passion for performance and how hard they all work. I'll be back soon with more of the discs in part 2!
