As per the latest news, The organization behind international swimming, FINA announced a ban on trans women athletes from competing in women’s events, if they did not transition by 12. Don't jump to the conclusion, it's too early to say that everyone should transit by age 11, that’s ridiculous. You can’t transition by that age in most countries and hopefully, you wouldn’t be encouraged to. What they’re saying is that, "it is not feasible for people who have transitioned to compete without having an advantage,” James Pearce. Looking onto the other side the FINA president said “we have to protect the rights of our athletes to compete, but we also have to protect competitive fairness in our events." Going further with the content let's recall the motto of Olympics 2022 its says: “Together for a shared future “ Defining it, won't it be justified if they add a category of a transwoman in the Olympics for future swimming. Is it necessary to ban transwomen from the game altogether? In answer to this, we have something more interesting to note; FINA has promised an “open “category for transwomen in some events as part of its new policy. Is there anyone opposing it? The answer to this is YES! There are a set of people who think: “This sudden and discriminatory decision is a blatant attack on transgender athletes who have worked to comply with longstanding policies that have allowed them to participate for years without issue." Joni Madison, HRC’s Interim President, said. “This policy is an example of swimming organizations caving to the avalanche of ill-informed, We urge FINA to rethink its policy and ensure inclusion for all athletes — including transgender women — and allow them to participate in sports free from discrimination, abuse, and harassment.” FINA’s policy will change the sports career of Lia Thomas, the first out trans woman to win an NCAA Division I women’s swimming championship. No, I'm not talking about the availability of a toilet. What I'm actually talking about is, the necessity of a Queer toilet. Safe access to public toilets has material implications for people in relation to their ability to engage in various aspects of social life. While we say people here, it doesn't only categorise into male or female rather every person who walked the road. Here we talk about the importance of a specific focus on the implementation of gender neutral toilets, it interrogates both practical and symbolic issues of inclusivity and accessibility. This is important to be considered because of certain reasons that often go unnoticed. One of them being a basic public right but mainly because of the safety and security of the Queer. They are often made to battle between the appropriate facility to be used at the point of time depending on the situation or appearance and between their actual need. A public space if not inclusive can often raise issues about bullying or judgement at the least. Let's not forget, the space apart from being a segregation is actually a way of gender policing and this can be a tough spot for people don't want to be judged or want to come out yet. However, the gendered nature of fear has often been considered contradictory as women experience less victimisation than men, but experience higher levels of concern about victimisation. Vaginal health is undeniably essential to prep your body for birthing. It will help you cut down the chances of infections and diseases. Some pointers to work on are- Wash Your Intimate Area- With the change in vaginal discharge, it can become a breeding ground for bacteria. It can cause odour, itching, and discomfort. Only water may not be enough to clean it, and soap could be too harsh on the delicate skin. Use a mild soap or intimate wash. Keep the Area Dry- Dampness can worsen itching and irritation. Use a clean, soft, cotton towel to gently dab the external vaginal area dry. Choose the Right Undergarments- Use light, slightly loose, cotton undergarments to allow your skin to breathe down there. Avoid wearing tight, as they can cause sweating and friction. Wipe from Front to Back- Wiping this way helps you keep any germs or bacteria from coming in contact with your vagina and urethra. Consume a Balanced, Healthy Diet- A healthy diet will keep your energy levels high, provide nutrition, and also help you maintain your general and vaginal health. Where I stay, sadly ans surprisingly, they do! Let me explain it. So, the other day I went out to have some good old panipuri. It was a local vendor nearby. While I waited for him to hand me my plate of food for the evening, the vendor surprisingly stared off his serving with a boy next to me. I didn't notice it, to be honest. Now let's go to the next day incident. Yup, i went there again. Same old story, first one to reach but last to get my good plate of food. I realised, this wasn't the first time something like this has happened. I have faced this a multiple times at several places, just didn't realise it. I want to know what was the reason, so I asked around. And... Drum rolls please... This wasn't just my speculation, it was infact a very real occuring. The place where I stay had a belief that if the vendors start their very first order with a girl or a woman, then it affects their sale in a bad way. The reason they claim of the woman being impure. Impure because of their periods. As they can not know who is on their periods, so they tend to avoid starting their sales with any woman. How bizzare is this? . .
