pizza night
Tumblr media
words: 2.2k
warnings: mentions/implications of sex but no actual smut, best friend!rafe, jealousy, angst but happy ending, friends to lovers, rafe with another girl, reader sleeps with kelce
“PIZZA NIGHT!” you shout, rafe letting out a whoop as you carry in the two boxes, plain cheese for you, and a mess of toppings for rafe.
“was worried you weren't gonna show up.” rafe glances at the clock. you're only about five minutes late, only running behind because the pizza place was busy and your order wasn't ready on time.
“as if i would miss our weekly pizza night.” you roll your eyes. you've had to shift times around occasionally to make sure you get the pizza night in, like for rafes football schedule, or you having to help your parents out at a fundraiser. for the past three years, it's been every thursday night, even both getting pizza from your respective locations while you facetime when you're not both in the outer banks.
“come here.” rafe opens his arms up to you. you step into his familiar hold, strong arms wrapping around you, tugging you against his chest. you inhale his scent, so uniquely rafe.
he's been your best friend for as long as you can remember, your parents being friends when both became pregnant around the same time. you did everything together. pizza nights started as plum puree, as your mom loves to joke.
“what do you wanna watch tonight?” rafe asks, knowing whatever you put on will soon become background noise to your chatting, rafe happy to listen to any gossip you have to say.
“umm…” you tap your finger against your chin as rafe plates your pizza for you, loading his plate with three slices for himself. you know he's already got your preferred drink sitting on the coffee table. “mulan.”
“sure.” rafe nods. he used to argue when he was younger. you'd want barbie swan lake or a romcom while he prefered superheroes and action. he learned throughout your friendship to just not fight it.
you immediately start to tell rafe the latest gossip, filling him in on everything he's missed since you saw him last, even though it was only two days ago.
“oh and you'll never guess!” you squeal. “callie, my friend from florida?” you see if the name jogs rafes memory, which he quickly nods. how could he forget. the one other friend that competes with him, despite you only seeing her for weeks at a time when you went to visit your grandparents in florida. “she's coming to the outer banks! she's gonna stay with us for the summer while her parents travel.”
“oh, nice.” rafe nods. he's happy for you, he really is, but he hopes she's not going to get in the way of his time with you, especially pizza night.
--
“girl, why didn’t you tell me rafe is hot as fuck?” callie giggles, looking out the window where rafe and a couple of his friends are chatting on the patio.
“ew.” you scrunch your nose up. you mean the criticism about callie finding him attractive, not about rafes looks, but callie doesn’t take it that way as she rolls her eyes.
“seriously, he’s so fine.” she slices into another lemon, handing one half to you as you squeeze it to make fresh lemonade.
you just frown. you don’t want callie to find rafe attractive and you’re not sure why the jealous feeling builds in your gut, so you quickly change the subject.
“wanna come to a party friday night? at kelces.” you question.
“oh my god, yes.” callie nods, helping you carry out cups while you bring out the pitcher of lemonade, pouring a glass for yourself and whichever one of your friends also wants one before sitting next to rafe.
callie takes the open spot on the other side of him as the conversation instantly strikes back up. you remain quieter than normal, eyes flicking between them as you watch them interact. you’re glad they’re getting along, truly, but you feel like gouging your eyes out when callie laughs and places her hand on his bicep.
“you okay?” rafe asks after everyone else had gone home, callie having taken your car back to your place to shower while you plan on asking rafe to drive you home.
“yeah.” you put on a wide smile. “whats up?”
“you just seem quieter than usual.” rafe watches your face carefully, noting the way your face falls before you perk back up with a shake of your head.
“nope, im fine. just glad you're getting along with callie!”
“speaking of…” rafe pulls his phone out, handing it to you. “can i have her number?”
“oh… yeah.” you nod quickly, grabbing his phone and typing in her number. you have it memorized along with rafes and your mom and dads, the only ones you’ve typed in enough to know by heart. “why do you want it though?”
“i thought i’d get to know her a bit.” rafe shrugs.
“okay.” you force a smile on your face before standing up. “im gonna walk home. see you thursday for pizza night!”
“y/n, wait-” rafe tries to call you back, but you’ve already disappeared into the house.
--
you struggle to knock on the door with the pizza boxes in your arms. usually its unlocked, or rafe is there to open it for you the second your car pulls in the driveway.
“shit.” rafe opens the door, his face pale.
“what?” you shove past him, needing to set the cardboard boxes down.
you walk into the kitchen, going to place the boxes down on the counter when you realize there is already a box sitting there, opened up with a couple slices missing. you carefully slide the boxes out of your arms onto the marble before looking at rafe.
“i-i forgot-” rafe says as you look into the living room, seeing callie sat on the couch, her eyes on the television screen as she takes a bite of pizza.
“you forgot about our pizza night?” you question, not even trying to hide your tears this time as they form in your eyes.
“i just didn’t realize it was thursday, y/n i-”
“its fine.” you shake your head, heading towards the door. you need to leave before your emotions explode.
“y/n, please.” rafe grabs your hand right as you reach for the doorknob.
“no.” you turn around to look at rafe, knowing that there are tears streaming down your cheeks, yet you still attempt to force a smile. “no, go. have fun with her.”
you pull out of his grasp and leave, rafe standing on the front porch watching you drive away.
--
“coming to the party?” callie asks, wearing a tiny dress with high heels, showing off her flawless legs.
“nah.” you shake your head. “im feeling kinda tired.”
“alright.” callie frowns, but doesn’t push you any farther as she walks towards the front door, looking back once before leaving.
you are genuinely tired. you stayed up all last night waiting to hear callie arrive back at your house from rafes. she didn’t get home until 10 in the morning the next day. you know rafe has slept with girls before, but usually when he’s way too drunk after a party, and never with a girl you considered your friend.
you turn the tv on to a random channel, just needing something to distract yourself and stop you from crying again.
hours tick by as the sun sets, your eyes burning from staring at the television and holding back tears when a sudden knock on the door makes you jump.
you stand up, hoping its rafe, hoping he’s coming to apologize and to put all his attention back on you. you feel bad when you open the door and see its topper, your face no doubt giving away your disappointment.
“y/n, are you okay?” he asks. “you aren’t at the party.” he states the obvious as you stand in your sweatpants and a flimsy tanktop.
“just not feeling it.” you shrug.
“is it… callie and rafe?” topper asks. he doesn’t need you to confirm as tears well in your eyes.
“i-i like him. i didn’t even realize until i saw them together.” you finally admit it to yourself why you’re so upset.
“shit.” topper pulls you into a hug as you cry into his shirt, glad for his comfort as he rubs his hand up and down your back, hoping he can help you feel better.
“i shouldn’t be telling you this…” topper sighs. “but kelce has a crush on you. if you want to go to the party and… i don’t know, make rafe jealous back.”
“he won’t get jealous.” you shake your head. “he likes her.”
topper just stares at you with a look of pity. so in your head about your friendship that you can’t even put together the pieces that rafe likes you back.
you look down at your outfit. honestly, you can’t even manage to put on anything other than your crocs, you’re not going to change into a dress and heels just to dance up on a guy you don’t even really like.
“just come wearing that.” topper says, sensing your apprehension. “im serious, you look good. it’ll show how different you are then all the other girls there.”
you look back into your house at your couch, the tv still turned on before looking back to topper. he nods at you with encouragement.
“i need to get drunk immediately.” you tell him as he laughs, pulling you out the door.
--
you let out a groan as you turn over, snuggling into water warm body is wrapped around you as sleep slowly clears from your head.
“good morning, beautiful.” kelce says, making you blink your eyes open as the memories of last night come back, of ignoring rafe and callie dancing together as you move to kelce. topper was beyond right about the outfit as you captured the eye of most of the guys there, especially rafe as he tried to get your attention, but you were up in kelces room before he could steal you away.
it felt good to sleep with kelce, but not completely right.
“morning.” you smile. kelce is handsome, especially with the warm morning light shining in on the two of you, but your heart hurts as you wish it was rafes face you were looking into.
“can i have you again?” kelce asks, reaching down to grab your ass.
“yeah.” you nod with a smile. another distraction won’t hurt.
--
“where were you?” rafe asks as you arrive home, not expecting to see him snuggled up to callie on the couch.
“sleeping with kelce.” you say with a shrug. if rafe isn’t gonna hide his relationship with callie, you certainly aren’t going to hide what you were doing either.
“he doesn’t care about you, y/n.” rafe stands up, callies face shifting to one of worry as she looks between the two of you, realization sinking in. “he just wants to sleep with you.”
“okay, and?” you laugh, a bitter, spiteful laugh. “he’s got a big dick, and maybe i just wanted to sleep with him too.”
you stomp away towards your room, blaring music from your speaker the second you’re inside. you don’t want to hear any noise rafe and callie might make as you flop down on your bed, quickly falling asleep despite the blaring music.
--
the music being turned down wakes you up as someone sits on your bed. you groan and turn onto your back, expecting to see rafe.
“callie?” you question, glancing at the bag slung over his shoulder and the suitcase sitting in your open doorway.
you sit up quickly. “are you going to stay with rafe?”
“no.” she says with a gentle laugh and shake of her head. “im going back to florida.”
“what?” you question.
“i didn’t mean to come between you and him. i thought you didn’t like him. i… i don’t want this to ruin our friendship, so i’m leaving. he was fun to be with, but it was never serious for either of us. he’s serious about you.”
the words sink in as you look to her with hope in your eyes. “you talked to him about it?”
“i did.” she smiles with a gentle nod, glancing towards the clock on your nightstand. “the taxi is waiting outside to take me to the airport.”
you shoot forward to wrap your arms around callie, pulling her into a tight hug. “thank you.”
“of course.” she holds you back just as tight. “come visit me in florida, okay?”
you nod enthusiastically before she gets up to leave.
--
“finally.” topper sighs with relief as he opens the door to tanneyhill. “i’ve been trying to get him to go over and talk to you for the past four hours.” topper pulls you inside before you can even react. “seriously, you guys just need to date already. he slept with callie, you slept with kelce, and now you’re even. go make out.” topper shoves you into the living room before fleeing.
it takes a second for rafe to look up, his eyes red with tears.
“i had no clue.” rafe shakes his head. “i had no clue you liked me. i never would have done anything with callie if i knew. i thought i’d never get to have you, so i thought settling for your friend would be the next best thing.”
“i don’t like you.” you say before quickly clarifying. “i love you, rafe.”
rafe is standing and making his way towards you so quickly that you don’t even process his movements until his lips meet yours in a fierce kiss.
you hesitate for a moment before kissing back, feeling his arms wrap around your body, holding you tight to him, not allowing you to escape or leave ever again.

the people are gonna start asking for a bonus chapter of sae getting off to yn 😭 (i will eat that shit up)
Tumblr media
extra chapter: guilty pleasure
꒰ঌꨄ︎໒꒱ — part of priceless. for the first time, sae’s clueless on how to get rid of his frustrations of not having you. guess he’ll just have to jerk off to the thought of you.
content: smut. masturbation. sae jerks off to his thoughts of you; mentions of penetration, blowjobs. word count: 1.3k
༝༚༝༚ here you are !!! just a short piece though sobs i was in a whole mood so have this sneak peek into down bad sae :’) <3
Tumblr media
are you trying to kill him?
sae thinks you must be, because seeing you wearing nothing but his jersey, walking out of the bathroom with your hair wet, towel slung lazily over your shoulder; it makes his eyes wander. he’d be lying if he said he didn’t fight his exhaustion to stay up just because he’s curious what you’d look like in his jersey.
now that he knows? he doesn’t think he’ll be able to sleep well at all.
you’re having a conversation with him, even though the majority of his mind is elsewhere. maybe it’s just the consequence of letting all of this tension build up. you were tempting enough the night you all got together to drink. he held himself back back then, but now, with your lips so close to his, can he really avoid it this time?
he’s not sure what smart thing came out of your mouth this time. all he knows is that you’re so close now, just inches away from his face, and you smell so nice and all he can think of is what it’d be like if he lets you consume him.
“is that what you want?” he hopes he’s saying the right thing. he hopes you’re not going to run away like you always do.
to his surprise, you answer him directly this time, much like in otoya’s room, when you were half intoxicated and more honest than you’ve ever been with him. this time you’re purposely telling him, “i already told you what i want.”
you did. sae already rejected it once—because you were tipsy and almost out of it and he didn’t want you to forget about it the very next day—and now he can’t hold himself back anymore.
sae throws all his usual reservations out the window, leaning forward to kiss you, ashamed of the thoughts running through his head right now. he’s not so ashamed after he feels the way you kiss him back, how it feels so urgent like you’d really been yearning to kiss him and weren’t just all talk.
it’s not like he’s thought of this situation before this. he didn’t plan to kiss you right now, but seeing you wear his things like you belong to him makes him feel a certain way.
before he knows it, his hands are moving down from your hips to the back of your thighs, carrying you onto the countertop, his body comfortably nestled between your thighs, his lips savouring every single taste of you.
the little sounds you make as he takes your breath away—he’s never known they existed before and now within a mere few seconds it feels like they’re his favourite sounds in the entire universe. and by the time he feels satisfied enough to pull back from you, it feels like you have him in a trance, have him hooked around your little finger and every fibre of your being, enough so that he’s telling you he’s been wanting to kiss you too before he even realises it.
but you pull away too soon, like always, and leave him with that flirty remark, making his thoughts go crazy. it almost feels like he’s opened pandora’s box; before tonight, he had no trouble shrugging the thoughts of you away.
not anymore. not after spending more time with you and craving even more of you.
that’s why he ends up sitting up on his bed, head resting against the headboard, his fingers wrapped around his dick as he thinks of how fucking good you must sound if only you’d let him do more. you were already whimpering so seductively from the kiss—and fuck now sae wonders what your moans sound like.
he pumps his dick faster, mind wandering through endless images of what you can possibly look like underneath all that fabric. he spreads his precum around the head with his thumb, imagining your tongue in its place, imagining you on your knees, taking him in your mouth. warm, wet, perfect.
“fuck, y/n,” he can’t help but murmur under his breath, eyes shut as his hips jerk up into his hand, twitching from thinking how good your throat would feel around his cock.
you’d probably kill him if you knew of all the things he’s imagining he’d do to you.
his grip around his cock tightens as he starts to think of what you’d look like on top of him, naked with your breasts bouncing as he fucks up into you—you’d probably sound so sinful moaning his name.
fuck, he wants to hear you moan his name. is that too tall an order when he only just got you to call him by his name tonight?
sae bites on his lower lip, mouth falling open as he thinks of how hot you’d look riding him, of how your whimpers would sound impossibly saccharine as he takes your breast in his mouth, licking and nibbing on your nipple.
“shit,” he curses under his breath, grip getting tighter, moving his hand in tandem to the rhythm of you in his imagination as you bounce on top of him.
he really shouldn’t be thinking of you like this, not when he invited you over with no intentions and now he’s about to cum just thinking of you. you’re filling his mind; it flickers from thoughts of what it would feel like to have your tongue around his cock—licking the vein that runs up his length, what your cute face would look like as you suck him off—to how warm your pussy would feel around him, how it would throb as he thrusts into you, what you’d scream when you’re close. sae’s thoughts deviate to you, your face, your voice, your pussy—he bets it looks perfect, bet it’d look so much better if he makes it wet.
would you let him?
“fuck, y/n, fuck fuck fuck,” he mutters, voice thick with arousal, making sure to keep it down in case you hear him, even if all he can think about is what sweet sounds your pussy would make if he fucks you silly.
you’re in his head, your whimpers getting louder and your pussy all wet and clenching around him and he can’t fucking take it anymore, his hip thrusting up one last time before he’s cumming, white painting his stomach instead of your insides, the substance spreading and lining the dips from his abs.
sae’s heart is pounding in his chest and he’s sure it’s partly because of his fantasies but he’s screwed anyway, already in deeper than he initially thought. especially when he starts to think of what it’d feel like to just properly fall asleep next to you, both of you in the same bed instead of him being relegated to the floor. it makes him feel envious of otoya for a split second, because he’s sure he knows what that feels like.
he stares at himself in the mirror of his bathroom later after washing up, cold water splashed onto his face because he needs to think clearly. but everything he’s considering in his head only points in one direction: he wants you, in every single way.
sae sighs, head tilted up as he thinks of all the ways you could possibly reject him—maybe now he sees why all those girls reacted that way when he did the same to them. he’s pretty sure they weren’t serious about him though, because they barely knew him or spoke to him. but he’s let you in so much more than usual, and so much faster than he did bianca.
you’re special.
you’re special, and he wants to try.

MASTERLIST LINK
-
It was a normal day for you when you began to talk to Adam; wake up to little raccoons climbing all over you, eating breakfast with Rocket and Groot, and helping Drax with the kids.
It usually consisted of Drax translating what they’re saying while you tried to get them settled into new homes with people willing to take them in.
And as usual, Adam would stroll around like a lost puppy trying to figure out what to do for the day. While he made himself useful by going person to person, today he looked more confused than ever.
You still weren’t on the best terms with him, despite the rest of the guardians giving him a second chance. It didn’t help that they told you what he was trying to do before they rescued him.
With a deep sigh, you let Drax deal with the children for the day and walked over to Adam.
“Do you need something to do?” You asked him and he seemed a bit startled that you were actually talking to him.
“Uh, yes?” Adam said and immediately began to follow behind you as you made your way to your small apartment. It had been destroyed pretty badly in the fight, and you could use all the help you could get into repairing it back to normal.
While your place was livable, it still needed something to make it more of a home.
You let Adam in and instructed him on fixing one of the walls with many holes in it. He got right to work and was pretty silent the whole time. Meanwhile, you straightened up your work desk littered with plants, pots, soil, and little figurines you built for the children.
“Can I ask you a question?” Adam said, taking you out from your little flow of organizing.
You hummed a yes and waited for whatever question he was going to say. You honestly weren’t in the mood for a conversation, though.
“For all those plants on your desk, you sure don’t decorate this place enough.”
You turned sharply to him, wondering why it was relevant to ask such a thing. “Maybe if the people you had been working for hadn’t ruined my place, I would be able to put things up by now. But no, I have to fix it first.”
“All I’m saying is a flower on your table would suffice.” Adam shrugged and began to work again.
You rolled your eyes and continued to replant some of the white flowers you knew Groot loved. “If you must know I gift these flowers to people I care about.”
Adam stood up from the ground and walked over to your desk. “Will I get one of them?” He was teasing you with a smile and a question you knew was a joke.
“Maybe one day if you don’t mess it up for yourself,” you said and glanced up at him. He was significantly taller than you, and it wasn’t until now that you noticed how close he was. “And maybe, just maybe if I forgive you for trying to kill my friends.”
Adam nodded and promptly began to work again. “I will win you over.”
-
Then it became normal for Adam to arrive every morning at your door to help repair the rest of your apartment.
While he worked, you would either tend to your plants or build figurines for the children. It kept both of you busy and eventually a comfortable silence would fall between the two of you. Well, besides Rocket blasting music over the speakers.
Adam would often go to your desk, do a little nod of approval at what you were creating, then go back to working. You would tend to sneak looks at him, thinking he didn’t notice but he always did.
You hated to admit that you found the golden man attractive, and fought against the thoughts that plagued your mind about him. You didn’t want to get close to him… yet.
Adam was very helpful and extremely nice to you, and you could tell he was trying to make up for his past transgressions. You felt bad for being an ass to him, and one day you tried to make up for it. You made him a figurine of his pet that always seemed to find its way to him.
You had left it at his apartment one night and thought nothing of it, expecting nothing in return.
It was the weekend now, and Adam tended to only help on weekdays, so you didn’t expect to wake up to him at your door. He was holding something behind his back, but you didn’t ask any questions.
“Oh, um, good morning?” You said sleepily, still in pajamas.
“I wanted to stop by to say thank you for my gift.” Adam smiled and you noticed he had placed it in the pocket of his shirt.
“Of course, it was my way of saying thank you for all the help.” You did a small smile in return.
Adam shifted on his feet and pulled out a small daisy from behind his back. “I, uh, picked this for you. I know it’s not much but you always gift flowers to people so I thought you deserved one yourself.”
You grinned happily and accepted the flower with a thank you. The tiny flower meant the world to you and Adam seemed ecstatic to give it to you.
“That’s the first ever gift I’ve given someone.” Adam looked so innocent and sad when he said that, almost as if his history did haunt him.
“It’s lovely.” You gave him a hug which took him by surprise but he gladly wrapped his arms around you.
“I was wondering if you’d like to…” Adam’s words trailed off in confusion, not finding the word he needed.
“Go on a date?” You helped him out, knowing exactly what he meant.
“Yes, that,” he said with his dorky smile and awaited your answer.
“I would love that.” You smiled brightly at him, delighted that Adam ended up being a sweet person beneath all the gold.

Hello! I really like your blog and if i may ask for an Alastor x Lollipop overlord reader? Like reader doesn't look like a demon at all, she's cute, small, looks like a walking cotton candy, she's sweet to everyone and eat sweets. But she is dangerous like she has her dark side. Pretty please and thank you! <3

𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲: You, a suspiciously cheerful overlord, catch Alastor's eye and fate takes control of your relationship.
(𝐀/𝐍): I mainly focused on the build-up to the relationship since I can't think of anything outside of my romantic hcs :PPP
𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠(𝐬): None
                                                        𓆩♡𓆪
♡ Alastor first saw you as an enemy–a strong one, at that.
♡ You were an overlord, yet you were so sweet and innocent and loved to make people smile, just as he did.
♡ You intrigued him, but he knew better than to take your demeanor as a weakness. He would be stupid to. He knew that no matter how cute and welcoming you seemed, you must’ve done something truly monstrous to get the power you have.
♡ And Alastor found it riveting.
♡  He wanted to know what exactly you were hiding underneath all that candy.
♡ So, he approached you. He expected you to be threatened like any other overlord would be, especially considering his unforgiving reputation, but you were oddly welcoming.
♡ He decided he would meet you within your territory so if a fight were to break out, none of his would be broken.
♡ You weren’t hard for him to find. You were skipping down the streets, leaving a messy trail of cotton candy, lollipops, and sugar-stricken demons.
♡  Alastor greeted you and you didn’t seem all that surprised to see him there.
♡ The two of you made pleasant conversation while the demons around you avoided him like the plague.
♡  Alastor found himself enjoying your company more than he thought he would.
♡  Your carefree attitude was a nice breath of fresh air for him. Usually, people were either aggressive or timid around him, but demons were rarely chipper like you were.
♡ He was so captivated by you, he would often make excuses just for him to spend more time with you.
♡ Originally, he just wanted to observe you–how you operated normally and how you would react when you had an obstacle (that he was often the cause of.)
♡ However, his original plans crumbled when he started to fall for you.
♡ Alastor knew you liked him as well; you were much clumsier and nervous when he was around, something he knew only happened when you were with him because he’s been watching you for so long.
♡ He didn’t confess to you immediately.
♡ He instead chose to tease you, make you flustered and ensure that you really were attracted to him.
♡ He would stay unnecessarily close to you so he could lean down into your face whenever he pleased, give you gifts like sweets (he insists he just found it and hates sweets, but the wrapping is too pristine for road candy,) and insinuate that you two are together and deny it whenever you question him.
♡ Alastor is confident that you’ll be his, so he has no problem letting the chase drag on a little.
♡ You’re actually the one to crack and confess.
♡ While you were helping Alastor cook dinner for everyone, he teased you through lingering touches.
♡ He assigned you to cut the vegetables, chastised you for doing them wrong, then brought you to his chest and put his hands over yours to “show you how it’s done.”
♡ He regularly offered you samples of the food, keeping eye contact while he fed you and asked how you liked it while you were stuttering over your words.
♡ The final straw was when he told you not to get too close to the food or else you’d make it too sweet.
♡ You blurted out your confession before you could think and flushed when you saw his smile widen.
♡ He was very smooth with asking you out–you barely registered that he had actually asked you out before he finished serving dinner and called for everyone to eat.
♡ For your first date, he took you out for dinner where he reserved the entire restaurant for you two.
♡ Your dynamic hadn’t changed much from when you two were just pining.
♡ The only difference was Alastor could actually kiss you now, but he still doesn’t enjoy PDA much, so most people barely notice the change.
♡ You two are partners in crime with a good-cop bad-cop dynamic and strike fear into the citizens of Hell.

Trailer park Steve AU part 60
part 1 | part 59 | ao3
cw: reference to canonical minor character death
Max slams the phone down, knocking her forehead against the wall. Sixteen calls in a row and still no answer. “I give up,” she sighs. “You should just go.” “Seriously?” Steve protests. “And just leave you here? Alone? After—?” After all that? He throws his hands out like an umpire calling a safe. “No. No way.” “Look, my mom will be home soon, you can’t—” “—I’m not letting you get hurt—!” “—What are you gonna do? Fight my nightmares for me?”
“Maybe I will,” Steve mutters under his breath, pissed off and replaying the conversation on repeat while he gets ready. Feels like a psycho for doing it; feels certifiably unhinged just going about his evening after everything that happened, putting on a clean shirt and choking himself in a cloud of Farrah Fawcett spray so he can go pick up the sweet-but-stupid girl named Brenda he promised to take to the game tonight; so he can go cheer in the bleachers like he didn’t almost die.
(Or like, very vividly hallucinate his own death, which... Yeah. Doesn’t feel any less horrific.)
But whatever. Max is right. Without El, there’s really nothing to do but wait. Hop’s dead, Bob’s dead, Joyce is thirty hours away. Owens is off the table, too. What’s Steve gonna do? Call the government and tell them to come nuke the boogeyman? He doesn’t have any proof.
He also doesn’t want to freak Dustin or any of the other kids out without knowing for sure what’s going on and what, if anything, can be done about it, so...
Fuck.
Fuck!
He gets dressed; he goes out. Picks up Brenda and does his best to be nice to her even though she gets on his nerves the moment she gets into his car, and he buys them sodas at the gas station and doesn't say a word when she spills Sprite down the side of his passenger seat.
The school is packed when they show up — the crowd in high spirits, the marching band leading chants. Nancy's reporting from the sidelines, Lucas is laughing with his teammates on the bench, and Steve leads Brenda toward the bleachers and does his best not to think. Not about the graveyard, not Max, not the looming threat of cosmic terrors. Not about the fact that Eddie is somewhere in this building, probably looking all hot and menacing while he leads tonight's campaign. Probably perched on a prop throne drinking Mountain Dew from a painted chalice like a fucking dork; probably making it look sexy, anyway. Tight jeans, legs spread, an air of casual command…
Steve could go find him. He could make everyone else leave; he could get on his knees and crawl between Eddie's legs—
"Does it bother you that we might win the championship, like, right after you graduated?"
Reality comes back like a slap in the face. "Yeah, that's an excellent question, Brenda, thank you so much for bringing that up."
They get settled into their seats, and Steve wishes he were more excited when the ref throws the jump ball, but he mostly just wants to go home. ("You always want to go home," the Robin in his head reminds him, and the Robin in real life throws him a weird look when she catches him snorting to himself about it.) He's just tired. Worn down in his bones, hollowed where he thinks his marrow should be, and he's clinging to normalcy with a sort of sweaty desperation that he’s pretty sure Brenda can smell on him because the date just sucks; it’s so bland, so mutually boring and bored. He spends most of the night mouthing stupid shit at Robin or keeping a sharp eye on the court — anything to ignore his proximity to Eddie; anything to drown out his messed-up head and heart.
When the game finally ends Brenda gets a ride to a party with some friends. Steve goes back to Dustin’s place and paces a hole into the carpet. Stays up until 3 A.M., humming a Fleetwood Mac song.
In the morning, he tells himself as he drifts into fitful sleep.
In the morning it’ll be fine.
In the morning Max will come by the store like she promised, and they’ll keep trying until they get ahold of El, or Owens, or someone, and that someone will know what to do and how to help.
In the morning the TV tells him there’s a dead girl in his house.

Breaking up ft. Satoru Gojo
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Day 13 of 31 Days of Ficmas!
summary — you break up with your partner a few weeks prior christmas.
word count — 1.2k
content — hurt/comfort, gojo is emotionally constipated but he’s trying ok, lowercase intended
notes — today was supposed to be obito’s fic but i wrote this one first because im kinda… going thru the same thing lol. enjoy <3
Tumblr media
everything feels out of place as you lay in bed trying to place together pieces of an unfinished puzzle.
two weeks have passed since the last time you and gojo spoke to each other. two weeks since you broke up with him, leaving a part of your heart behind.
you know you have to move on, but it’s hard when you have years of friendship and a one-year-long relationship weighing on your back. you look back to all the efforts you put into it and, foremost, you can’t completely let him go.
you always knew about gojo’s personality, in fact, you fell in love with it. but it became unsustainable when you were the one doing everything while he sat back and watched.
you used to say to him, “you are a good person. you are the best person I’ve fallen for, like a window of light in the dark.” and never once you regretted those words. you made sure to repeat them to him during the breakup.
you truly believe satoru’s a good person, and he never intended to hurt you. what defined the fate of your relationship was his inconstancy, his fear of emotions.
gojo could shower you with kisses and “i love you”s for days, but they were always half-hearted and, whenever the conversation between the two of you took a deeper turn, he would instantly shut down.
become cold, even.
he also didn’t care much about life in general, talking about several topics and simply forgetting to ask simple questions like “how was your day?”
you knew he cared, but it didn’t feel like he did.
it killed you every time he’d disappear for an entire day, especially on days you weren’t okay, not even bothering to reply to your texts, and then replying with a mere “i was busy” – you knew it already, but a text would be nice.
and to match his emotionless self, you were the embodiment of intensity.
you tried to crack up his shell, always paying attention to what he said and remembering it. you dove head first into every interest he had, and supported him in every choice he made.
you cared, you asked and, mostly, you talked.
multiple times, you tried to express how you felt, how you wish he could open up more and maybe just regard you a little more – a few texts not to worry you wouldn’t hurt. gojo said he was like that, but that he would try to be better.
what mined your relationship was that lie.
because he never even tried.
and after another month of dealing with all of that, with not feeling wanted enough, cared enough, you decided to end everything.
you can’t lie a little part of you hoped he would fight for you, ask for you to stay. but as you watched distress filling his eyes, all he could muster was, “i’m really sorry i couldn’t be better.”
and you lost everything you thought you had.
you blink away your tears, trying to escape from your painful thoughts, and get up from the bed – it’s past seven now and you need to start getting ready for a christmas party at one of your friends’ house.
you need to move on.
after taking a quick shower, you put on the red dress you’ve decided to wear – a dress that gojo bought for you months before – before starting to do your makeup.
this is when your doorbell rings.
you frown, “who is it?” you yell as you make your way toward the door, but there’s no time for an answer before you open it.
you almost close it again when you see your ex-boyfriend standing there, but you don’t. you know you need to be mature about this situation, even if seeing him makes all the walls you’ve been building crumble down.
it hurts.
“gojo.”
you don’t look him in the eye, focusing on his christmas sweater instead. funnily, the one you gave him a year ago.
“can i come in? it’s freezing outside.”
if you looked into his eyes, though, you would see the big blue bag under them. you would see how faded his blue irises are, and how fucking anxious satoru is.
you don’t ask further questions, letting him into the house he knows all too well before you close the door. he follows you like a lost puppy, and keeps standing when you sit on the couch.
“you look gorgeous,” he compliments meekly.
“thank you. what do you want?” it takes all of you to not start crying right then and there, but you know you have to be firm.
“i want you back.”
satoru doesn’t beat around the bush, and the silence that follows is so loud it can be heard. you feel your heart beating in an insane rhythm, and your head spins.
“gojo, you can’t–”
“you were right. you are right. about everything,” he interrupts you. “i was a boy, and for that i’m sorry. i acted like you had to keep up with my shit, like you would always be there, and i’m sorry for that too,” gojo speaks so fast you can barely keep up with him, like he’s going to die if he doesn’t say those words. “i thought i couldn’t change, i thought i didn’t have to. because it is easier to live the way i live, but… it is much harder to live without you.”
“gojo–”
again, he doesn’t let you speak, “don’t call me that. please, don’t call me that,” gojo drops on his knees in front of you and grabs your hand. “call me satoru, toru, baby, love for all i care. just not gojo. i’ve been miserable without you, i never thought a person could get so miserable,” his voice cracks, pulling your hand towards his face in a desperate attempt to be comforted. “i promise you i will do better, i will pay attention, text you all the time, tell you all about my past and what made me who i am, scream through my pain for what’s worth. just take me back, please.”
you are so deeply in shock that it takes you a while to register the tears falling down his face, his eyes closed as he expects the worst.
all it takes is for your thumb to caress his cheek softly, and satoru sobs. you grab his face with both of your hands, cleaning his teardrops as your own fall, and you gently kiss his forehead.
it kills you to see him like that, but at the same time it gives you a reason to live to know that he’s willing to try. for you.
you kiss his nose, his cheeks, and then his lips.
satoru whimpers, pulling you into an embrace so strong you’re afraid he’ll never let go.
“toru,” you say when you part your lips and bury your face in his neck, feeling his scent. “everything’s okay now. i’m here, i’ll take care of you.”
“missed you so much, i’m so sorry,” he whispers.
“i missed you, too,” you confess, finally looking into his eyes and frowning when you notice he hasn't slept. “what’s past is past, we’ll be okay. but i guess we should just sleep a bit, hm? it was one hell of a ride.”
“sleep together, right?”
he sounds so clingy, you chuckle lightly.
“yes, toru. together.”

I Hate Myself for Loving You
Pairing: ReaderXEddieMunson
Request: i don't remember reading something like this before and i thought it might be nice. a smut where they suddenly start kissing rough during a big fight like in films/series? they might be fighting because of jealousy or something else and the fight is going really hard, (they don't hit each other) but maybe eddie is throwing things against the wall and breaking them and the reader is pushing him by the shoulders etc., with the intensity of the fight, something can be ignited and I thought it could be a really tough smut
Word Count: 3.3K
18+ Only
Smut, Rough sex, there is verbal fighting, name calling, and throwing of things but never violence at each other
Tumblr media
“Are you fucking serious right now Eddie!?”
Your chest heaved, blood boiling in your veins, making you feel as if you were incinerating from the inside out. Was he really going to stand there and accuse you of this when he did it all the goddamn time, assuring you it meant nothing?
“I saw you, sweetheart! You were practically in his goddamn lap!”
“I was not! Jesus Christ! I was sitting on the stool next to him. We were just talking. I haven’t seen him since high school so he was asking what I’ve been up to.”
Eddie snorted, his eyes rolling up into his head. “Yeah. I’m so sure Billy Hargrove was real interested in a conversation and not your tits that were practically in his face, begging to be touched.”
The rage that was building within you had you trembling. It slithered like an ugly disease down your arm and into your hand. You grabbed the ashtray from the end table and chucked it at him. He ducked just in time as it smacked into the wall with force behind him.
“What the fuck!?” he yelled, those brown doe eyes now dark with fury. “What is wrong with you?”
“You! You’re what’s wrong with me! I sit there every fucking time you have a show and watch while girls hang all over you! You smile and laugh and tease them! You make them think they have a shot with you! You pose for pictures and sign their fucking tits! You sit there like a king on your fucking throne, soaking it all up, loving being the rock star that all the groupies want a shot with! And you’re always telling me it means nothing! I have to just accept it if I’m with you! But I have one goddamn conversation with a guy…”
“He’s not just a guy! He’s your fucking ex!”
“Yeah! He is! Ex being the word that matters here! I’m not with him. I’m with you! I chose you and I keep choosing you but you never fucking choose me!”
His mouth dropped open, sounds of disbelief and disgust spluttering from him. He folded his arms across his lean chest, rising up to full height, towering over you. You didn’t flinch. You weren’t scared of him. Eddie could be a jerk but he would never lay a hand on you.
“I choose you! I could have any of those fucking girls I want! They want to come home with me! They’ve heard I can show them one hell of a time and they practically beg me to show them! But I don’t because I have you!”
“Oh! Well so sorry you’re saddled with me! That can easily be fixed you know!”
“And just what the hell is that supposed to mean, princess?”
“You can leave anytime you want if this isn’t making you happy anymore! Yeah! You know what? Maybe you should! Then you can actually live out your sad small town rock star fantasy! You can bring a different whore home every night and show her what a good time you are.” You paused, tilting your head, hands on your hips. “But what fucking home will you bring her back to when you don’t have me to foot the bills so you can run off pretending you’re Tony Lommi?”
“We’re really going to do this again?”
“Do what again?”
“Bitch about me not pitching in enough around here! You knew what I was when you decided to be with me. You told me you were good with me working part time so I could focus on my music.”
“That was three fucking years ago! How long are you going to keep it up!?”
“You used to support me! You used to believe in me!”
Tears welled up in your eyes, only fueling your anger more, because you didn’t want to cry. You didn’t want to show any sign of weakness. You didn’t want him to see how much his words had hit their mark, like an arrow hitting the bullseye.
You had supported Eddie. You had supported him. You’d encouraged him to go for his dream but his dream was now killing both of you. You couldn’t take it. Night after night watching women throw themselves at him, watching him encourage it, eat it up, relish the attention. Working twelve hour shifts, dead on your feet, just to cover rent because Eddie couldn’t possibly take on more hours if he was going to get that new song finished.
“Yeah, I did, and you used to act like I mattered!” you spat.
“You matter!”
“Do I? It sure as hell doesn’t feel like it! When’s the last time you spent any time with me that wasn’t in the fucking bed, Eddie? That’s all I’m good for anymore! You don’t want to watch a movie or go down to the lake like we used to! I’m nothing but a toy you bring out when you need to quench your urges and then you put me back on a fucking shelf!”
“Bullshit! I invited you to band practice last week and you said no!”
“Oh! Thanks so much for wanting me to be there! We both know you just want an audience! You want someone to worship you and tell you how amazing your music is. I’m your girlfriend Eddie! I’m not some fucking groupie who’s just there to fawn over you and spread my legs!”
“No? Well, you sure acted like one tonight with Hargrove!”
“Fuck you! Get the fuck out!”
“This is my apartment too!”
“The fuck it is! You don’t pay for shit and my name’s on the lease!”
“You seriously want me to leave?” he growled.
“Yes! I want you gone! I’m done! I’m not doing this shit anymore!”
“Oh! Oh! I see what this is. You gonna call your roid rage boy toy once I’m gone? What sweetheart? You saw that mullet again and just couldn’t help yourself? You going back to him?”
You should say it but you couldn’t help yourself. Not after week after week of questioning if Eddie wasn’t just giving all those girls attention. Not after nights staring at the clock, wondering if he was off with one of those groupies, temptation too much for him to handle. Not after the way he’d just assumed you’d be willing to do the same. Staring him down, you challenged, “And so what if I am?”
His arm shot out and you shrieked, flinching, your hands coming to either side of your head as a shield. The crash of broken glass shocked you to your core as he grabbed the nearest thing to him, the lamp, and threw it with all the force he had against the wall.
You stared at him, silent, shocked as he glared down at you, chest heaving, each breath straining the fabric of the fitted shirt he’d started to wear ever since a groupie told him he should show off his body more.
“You want to go to him! You’re gonna leave me for that piece of shit!” he raged, flinging magazines from the end table one by one, nowhere in your direction, just satisfying thunks against the wall that punctuated each word he spoke. “You think he’s gonna be better to you than me!” His hand snatched the little elephant that he’d bought you from the zoo, the tiny figure cracking as it made contact with the wall next. “You’re just gonna walk away!”
“You asshole!” you screamed, fists pummeling against his chest, shoving him backward. His hands wrapped around your wrists, holding you in place, keeping you from reaching him.
“Stop it!” he yelled as you flailed like a feral animal to free yourself from his grip.
“I hate you!” you cried. “I fucking hate you!”
“Calm the fuck down!” he roared, pushing you back until he had you pinned against the wall, his weight pressing against you. “God, why do you have to be such a bitch!?”
“Probably because you’re such a dick!” you snap back, trying so hard to hold onto your anger but the awareness of his body, every inch of him now pressed against every inch of you, is making it harder to do.
He rolls his hips, his erection pressing against your center, smirking when you gasp at the contact, “Yeah, but you like that dick, don’t you?”
“Go to hell,” you grind out through gritted teeth and when he drops his head to find your lips, you snap at him, going for the bite. He just chuckles, keeping hold of your wrists, bringing them to either side of your head against the wall.
“You are such a pain in my ass.” He tries for the kiss and when you nip at him again, his lips latch onto your neck instead, sucking a bruise into your skin while he slots his thigh between yours.
“You are…”
But you never tell him what he is as he presses his thigh against your center, your traitorous hips rolling, seeking the friction he’s providing. His mouth moves over your neck, suckling the flesh in a semi-circular pattern until he reaches the other side. He’s marking you, a necklace for you to wear, to display that you’re taken, that you already belong to someone. Like a fucking dog in heat, he’s making sure that Billy Hargrove and any other unfortunate male who even glances your way knows you’re not available.
You want to fight him. You want to be the badass bitch who pushes him off and walks away, stands your ground, but it just feels so goddamn good. His mouth on your skin, firm muscle grinding against you just where you need it, fingers pressing into your pulse points as he keeps you captive against the wall.
“What was that, princess? I’m what?” he teases, fingers loosening their grip on your wrists, trailing over the sensitive flesh on the underside of your arms sending shivers racing up your spine. They brush over the outer curve of your breasts and your back arches, your body craving more, needing more but Eddie just steps back, holding his hands out in front of him. “There’s the door. If I’m such a dick, why don’t you head out right now and find your little boytoy?”
Your teeth grind together, that anger that you’d forgotten in the haze that was desire raging back, the two warring with each other, a battle that was about to lead to epic destruction.
“You bastard…” you mutter, shoving him backward, his body moving barely an inch. “I despise every fucking thing about you.”
One eyebrow lifts, taunting, his tongue slipping out of the corner of his mouth, tracing over his bottom lip. Your eyes watch, a clenching between your thighs as that backstabbing bitch aches for what she knows that tongue can do.
“I hate you…you’re…you’re…”
“Yes? I’m listening.” He cups his hand to his ear, egging you on, brown eyes dancing with amusement as how vexed he’s gotten you.
A roar of frustration rips from your throat, your hands slamming into his chest, sending him almost toppling over the coffee table. His arms flail for a second before he drops to his ass, hard, just managing to keep himself sitting. He barely has time to look up at you before you’re climbing onto his lap, your fingers sliding roughly into his hair, grabbing a fistful, painfully pulling his head back, relishing the way he winces.
“Fuck, princess. Careful with the hair.”
“Shut up,” you order, your tongue tracing down his neck, his wince quickly turning into a groan. You sink your teeth into the flesh between his neck and shoulder and he grunts, grabbing onto your hips, fingers digging into the flesh hard enough to bruise.
You rock against him, seeking the relief, the pressure building within you, winds of anger and lust meeting to create a tempest that was about to sweep you both away. Lips, teeth, and tongues clash in a war of biting, sucking, and scraping that has your thighs shaking, a coil tighter than you’ve ever felt before curling in your stomach, begging to spring free.
Eddie’s hands grab onto your top, tearing it in half, the sound of the threads coming apart satisfying. He makes quick work of your bra and then his mouth descends, marking your flesh until you’re sure there won’t be an inch of you that isn’t bruised. Your hands find their way up his shirt, nails raking along his back when he clamps his teeth over your nipple, tugging at the tender peak, a pain that sends a rush of pleasure straight to where you keep rocking against him.
“Fuck yes!” you cry, nails embedding into the skin of his shoulders, using him as leverage as you chase your own release against the bulge in his jeans.
His hand clamps around your throat, pushing you back, away from what you want right at the moment you’re about to get it. The rage is back, awakened again by the audacity of this man to keep your orgasm from you. Your back drapes over his legs as he makes fresh marks over your stomach, his other hand slipping up your skirt.
The soft Eddie, the one who glided calloused fingers over your trembling flesh, who teased you over top of your panties, who pressed tender kisses to your inner thighs, was nowhere to be found. Without warning, his thrust two of his thick fingers past the scrap of fabric and inside you, not giving one thought to if you were ready for him.
But you were. Holy shit, you were wetter than you’d ever been, inner thighs already sticky from the friction, the brutish way his mouth was marring your skin. You’d never been so turned on in your life and you didn’t know what that said about you and at this moment, with his fingers deep within your pussy, his heel grinding against your clit, his mouth suckling a fresh mark under your breast, you really didn’t care.
“Not thinking about leaving now, are you, princess?” His hand came down, making contact with the side of your breast with a smack, your whole body jolting.
You cried out, your hands dropping to the ground behind your head to keep you from spilling off his lap. Another finger pressed into you, stretching you, filling you and a sound you didn’t even recognize wrenched from your body as it clamped down around his fingers. His large palm grabbed your breast roughly, pulling at the overly sensitive skin, everything heightened in this moment, your entire body feeling like it flayed open, senses on max level.
“Fuck!” you growled, your whole body quaking as it neared release and his palm lifted, fingers slipping out, leaving you feeling empty.
“You don’t come until I tell you to.”
“What the fuck do you mean…”
But your words were cut off as he manhandled you, turning you over, your face pressed down into the carpet. Snatching off your underwear, he roughly palmed your thighs, spreading you wide until your entire front half was bent onto the floor.
You heard the slide of his zipper. “You want this dick, don’t you?” he purred, leaning forward, his voice just over your shoulder. “Come on, princess. You want this dick, you gotta ask nicely. Say please.”
“Go fuck yourself,” you spat, refusing to give him the satisfaction of hearing you beg.
“Hmm…okay then…”
“You think I want that after so many groupies have had a turn on it,” you challenged, daring him to say it. To tell you that yeah, he’d been cheating on you for months. Letting you believe it was all just about keeping the fans happy so they’d keep coming back. “You think it’s so special? You can fucking keep it. I can find just as good elsewhere.”
You moved to get up and his hand wrapped around the back of your neck, pushing you back down to the floor.
“Nobody’s had a fucking turn but you,” he growled. “I’m a lot of things, sweetheart but a liar ain’t one of them. You are so goddamn stubborn, you know that? Sometimes I wonder why I even put up with you.”
“Then don’t!”
“Oh, I wish it were that simple. I’m fucking in love you, you idiot! You’re a pain in my ass and you drive me up the fucking wall but I love you and you love me and you fucking know it.” He slapped your ass, leaving a sting that had your pussy dripping all over again. “Now be a good girl and ask for my cock politely.”
Fuck. You hated how right he was. You hated how much you wanted him. You hated how hopelessly in love with him you were. You wished you had the strength to just get up and walk away but you didn’t. A throb between your thighs reminded you how much you needed this. Your body was going to make the decision for you.
“Fuck me, Eddie,” you snarled.
“I’m sorry. What’s the magic word?”
“I hate you…I hate you so fucking much…”
“Nope. Sorry but that’s not it.”
“Please!” you screamed. “Please fuck me into this goddamn floor and let me come already!”
“That’s my good girl.”
His hips slammed forward, colliding against your own as he buried himself to the hilt within you. You groaned gutturally, your body a discrepancy of both relief and tension. He thrust into you at a brutal pace, your skin smacking together, loudly filling the small space. You had a fleeting thought about what the neighbors were hearing but it quickly dissipated as the only thing you could focus on was Eddie, stretching you, filling you, finally giving you what you needed.
His hand wrapped around your throat, pulling you off the floor, pressing your back to his chest. Continuing to fill you, he gripped your neck, his other hand sliding over your stomach and in between your thighs. When he applied pressure to your clit, you keened, arching back against him.
“This pussy is mine. You’re mine.” His teeth bit down into your shoulder. “You’re the only one that’s mine. You’re the only one I want. Do you understand that?”
You couldn’t answer. Your eyes rolled toward the heavens, muscles trembling violently. You had zero control. His grip around your throat tightened, a wheeze rising from your lungs as you attempted to suck in air that you couldn’t find.
“I said, do you understand that?”
He slowly eased up pressure and you rasped out, “Yes. Yes. Yes…”
The word continued to fall from your lips, a mantra as the pressure that had been building within you finally reached its boiling point. You were standing at the precipice, looking at the drop…it was so damn close you could taste it.
“Come for me now,” ordered Eddie.
The band snapped, an explosion of sweltering heat racing along your skin, as your orgasm violently took over your body. Eddie kept his hand around your neck, not ceasing his unmerciful pounding, his flesh meeting yours with a ferocious collision every single time. His grip tightened as an animalistic roar assaulted your ears.
Sweat slicked flesh slid against each other as the two of you collapsed into a heap on the floor. You lay next to him, panting, struggling to understand what the hell had just happened. How had you gone from being ready to kick him out to having the hottest sex of your life?
“I mean it. You’re the only one. I’ve never kissed or touched any of those girls. I’ve never even considered it,” he gasped. “Have you? Were you…considering Billy?”
“No…not really,” you managed, still unable to fully catch your breath.
“You love me?”
Your head turned, looking over at this idiot that somehow had such a hold on you. You couldn’t explain it but you also couldn’t deny it. Rolling your eyes, you shook your head.
“Yeah. I do. I love you even if you are a dick.”
“Good because I love you too, you pain in the ass.”

Sanemi has been a good husband, doting, loving, supportive.. in his eyes at least.
In reality he’s been quite the opposite. he often degrades and belittles your role in the demon corps, threatening to force you out of the corps if you ever return home with a serious injury.
His opinion of a serious injury seems to be small scratches and bruises, luckily for you you’re very careful and quick on your feet so you’ve managed to avoid being hurt bad enough for Sanemi to freak out over, that was until your last mission. You were sent about 3 hours away from home deep into the forest along with another member of the corps.
You thought this would be a pretty cut and dry mission. little did you know, you were sent in terrifyingly underprepared for this mission against someone not even Sanemi could have saved you from. You and the other corps member walked through the forest- on guard, of course, something just felt so.. off about the area; you were so strangely nervous but managed to stayed stoic for your fellow corps member, although the tension and sense of unease filling the air made it hard to keep your composure, every bone in your body told you to run while you could.
It didn’t take long before the demon reared it’s rather handsome face.. as angry as that fact makes you, he had a muscular build with skin so fair that appears bright blue-tinged white, decorated by a pattern of thick blue lines with pink hair.. he said his name was— Akaza? He was an Uppermoon! You’re almost a hashira but you haven’t quite reached hashira yet so you certainly weren’t qualified to fight him, not even Gyomei could’ve beaten an uppermoon of that rank! You came to the quick realization the pink haired demon refused to hit you, but didn’t hold back on the man accompanying you, although the pink haired demon didn’t kill you, he certainly injured you, you tried to use yourself as a shield for your teammate and ended up being punched and thrown into a tree.
That’s all you remember before you woke up in a bed in the butterfly mansion. You felt your poor aching head and felt it’s wrapped in bandages, you must have gotten a head wound when you got tossed like a sack of potatoes. You sighed deeply and sat up and couldn’t help but groan when you felt those painful bruises on your back. Before you could even think to stand you hear familiar steps, steps you hear only when you’ve done something stupid or you two have gotten into a petty argument.. Sanemi.
He slid the shoji doors open and stomped over to you, his face looks like a storm cloud, Sanemi grabbed your cheeks and grit his teeth, it’s painfully apparent he’s refraining from screaming at you.
“You’re done, you’ll be quitting the demon corps. You’ll stay home and take care of the house- clearly you can’t be trusted on missions, you got injured for a fucker that still died !”
This has been an ongoing argument between you and Sanemi, he wants you to become a home keeper, he also wants to keep you safe of course- but that’s not what you want for your future.
“No.”
That’s all you said in response, your just trying to shut down this conversation before it got more serious. You watched his face of anger vanish to one of relaxation, he spent the next hours cooing over you and making sure you're comfortable in the butterfly mansion. In all honesty it’s scary! He’s never this nice, he definitely has something up his sleeve.
Sadly, the injuries were a bit worse than expected seeing as you couldn’t walk on your foot for a short while, but Sanemi happily carried you around like a bride when he wasn’t away from missions, the lucky man got his home keeper for a solid four weeks- although luckily for you, you get to go back into work tomorrow. You noticed Sanemi looming around you as you go about your day, staring at you as you read, side eyeing you while you made your side of the bed, until finally you had enough while you were chopping some cabbage.
“What, Sanemi!?”
You asked sternly as you whipped your head to the side to stare at him, he jolted slightly- he was staring at you from behind a wall like a crazy eyed peeping tom. He didn’t say anything as he walked over to you, just waved you off and you went back to preparing your meal. You tried to ignore him before you heard him take a sharp breath in and begin to say something.
“You—“
He cut himself off before he could finish his sentence, before you could even turn to question him you felt his hands on your hips, you jolted when you felt him squeeze the flesh of your hips, he pulled you so his chest would be pressing against your back and his hard cock against the curve of your ass, you couldn’t suppress the sharp exhale that escaped your mouth, he took the opportunity to force your head to the side so he could brush his lips against yours before he bit down on your bottom lip, not hard enough to hurt but hard enough to make you jolt in surprise. He released your lip and slid his hands from your hips to under your shirt, he practically yanked his shirt off you before tossing it away like trash, he spun you around and lifted your body until you were sitting on the counter, your legs spread with him standing between them.
“God.. ‘m gonna miss my little housewife.”
He purred out, his hands sliding up to your bottoms, he played with the band of them before he ripped them clean off you, you gasped and held his shoulders so you didn’t get swept off the counter and into his body, you sat only in your panties on the counter with Sanemis starving eyes trailing all over your body. His hands slid between your thighs, his fingers gliding over your panties.. where a wet patch could be seen, you shifted your body and frantically peeled them off, exposing your wet heat to Sanemi, you feel your pussy throbbing in a desperate cry for attention.
“So eager, you’re just a little slut? Not a homebody.. just a hole, huh?”
The way he growled that out made your pussy flutter, you whimpered and pressed your hands against Sanemis chest, you can’t even find it in yourself to lie and say you wouldn’t love to be his to be used. Suddenly your mind clears out of its fog of arousal and you remember you have work tomorrow.
“Sanemi, we can do this later, I have to make—“
He cut you off when his lips crashed against yours, you barely even had time to register him unbuckling his belt and letting his pants drop before you managed to pull away, you wiped your mouth and laughed with a sigh.
“Sanemi you can wait!”
You mumbled as your eyes trailed down his body, he’s still wearing the top of his uniform.. which basically hides nothing- god why does he dress like such a man whore?! He unbuttoned his shirt and let it fall to the floor, a shit eating grin on his face as he watched your eyes trace his cock, his cock is so heavy it weighs itself down, his pink tip is beading with precum, your mouth began to water and you panted in anticipation.
“Nemi.. so big.”
You panted out and looked away, covering your mouth at the perverted words that just came from your mouth before you watched Sanemi sink to his knees, pulling you until your ass is hanging off the counter and Sanemis face is buried in your pussy, his hands wrapped around your thighs while your fingers tangled into his hair. Your head fell back against the wall and you closed your eyes, a soft moan escaped your throat as he began flicking his tongue against your clit, your eyebrows furrowed and you rigged his hair, making a growl escape his mouth as his teeth brushed against your clit.
“Desperate whore.”
Sanemi grunted and began lapping at your wetness, lifting your thighs onto his shoulders while he parted his lips to suck on your clit, His hands digging into the flesh of your thighs. Your mind begins to get hazy, like you just downed seven drinks, drunk with pleasure - the moans that escape your throat are purely against your will as Sanemi uses his skilled mouth on your sopping wet pussy. You begin feeling that familiar coil in your belly.. not a coil actually, more of a scratch that you couldn’t reach, one Sanemi is managing to finally itch.
All the blood in your veins ran to your ears and you began to feel light headed, your legs are trembling in pleasure while the itch in your stomach starts to feel more intense, the itch turns into an unbearable heat that feels like a pleasurable fire dancing in your belly before it finally went out, being washed away by waves of ecstasy and pleasure, the wave of bliss hits you so hard tears prickle in your eyes and you pull hard on Sanemis hair.
It feels like your floating in space before Sanemis tongue drags you back to reality, the feeling of pleasure quickly turns to a sting mixed with the overwhelming feeling of searing bliss, the feeling shocked you so much you yanked Sanemis head away by his hair, his mouth covered in your juices, a annoyed growl left his throat as he stood up and ripped you off the counter, holding you by your hips as his aching cock pressed against your wet slit.
“Oh? The slut suddenly doesn’t want me to pleasure her? I guess it’s finally my turn, hmm?”
He said with a grin as he put you down and bent you over the countertop, your head held down by his hand, your face squished against the tops of the counter. His other hand spreads your folds and he drags a finger over your slit, gathering the wetness on his finger before he uses it to lube his cock up.
“God, seeing you like this makes me wanna pump a baby into this sexy cunt!”
He said in a teasing manner, you could tell there’s some truth to his words. You couldn’t respond telling him off before he lined his cock up with your pussy and finally sunk into you, he started at an animalistic pace, his free hand on your hip, digging into the skin of your flesh and leaving crescent moon marks where his nails are. The sound of skin Slapping together fills the room as Sanemi started fucking you into submission.
“gonna fill you to the brim with my cum.”
He growled out before continuing.
“Wanna see you swollen with my babies.. you’d be such a good mommy.”
His voice is shaking and he’s breathless, his pace somehow quickens and he lifts your hips so he can hit a new angle, his cock nestled against your cervix, his words sent shivers down your spine and made the cloud of arousal fade away at a terrifying speed, you push back against the hand on your head before he forces your head back down, a sob escaped your throat and Sanemi shushed you,
“Shh.. baby I’ll pull out don’t worry..”
He whispered and that soothed your nerves, although if you could see his face you’d see the pure disgust plastered on it at the very thought of letting an ounce of his cum spill out of you. He continued pounding into you feverishly before his grip on your hip loosened, he gritted his teeth as he unloaded hot cum into your pussy, filling your womb to the brim with his creamy load. You yelped and stood up straight, you glared at Sanemi before you tried to run off to the washroom to clean yourself out. Sanemi grabbed your hips and pulled you back against him, he whispered in your ear in a reassuring tone.
“It’ll be fine, I’ve accidentally came in you before and you didn’t get pregnant, I’m sure you’ll be fine this time.”
You're shocked by that calmness before you fight deeply and nod. Sanemi grins and lifts you up bridal style, carrying you off to the bedroom to have sex once, twice— a dozen times! You were stuck in that bedroom until your limbs were limp and your brain was dead, your head was so full of mush you couldn’t even register Sanemi scooping and pushing his cum back inside you. He grinned in satisfaction as he watched his cum ooze out of you, not being able to fill you up anymore. Managing to “accidentally” cum inside you just shy of 5 times today, He’d never tell you all the times he’s “accidentally” came inside you is nothing but intentional.
Two weeks later you felt strange, and after a solid month you notice you’ve missed your period. You cry and sob to Sanemi, preying it’s just a scare and the stress of going back to work is just making you miss your period, even after The sound hashira assured you he hears the baby’s heartbeat inside your womb and yet you kept denying the pregnancy for 4 months until it was impossible to deny the swelling of your belly could be nothing but Sanemis baby, Sanemi went to the master and had you put on leave- you can’t fight pregnant! Hell, the child can’t have parents with two high risk jobs.. he managed to convince you to quit and become a stay at home mother.
Almost 8 months go by in the pregnancy, Sanemi has never felt more bliss.. his head rested on your engorged tits- full of milk for his future child. His hands caressing your belly, feeling every soft movement and hard kick the baby makes in your womb. You’ve never been more miserable though, the baby feelings like an unwanted guest sitting on your bladder and completely turning your life upside down.
A thought suddenly popped into Sanemis head.
“I’ve always wanted a big family, I don’t think one will be enough- you don’t want the kid to be lonely, do you?..”

Part 1 ~ Part 2 ~ Part 3 ~ Part 4 ~ Part 5 ~ Part 6 ~ Part 7 ~ Part 8 ~ Part 9 ~ Part 10
Tumblr media
The following days were quiet as everyone was focused solely on listening in on conversations. The men rotated in shifts, not one of them able to stand the boring lack of information for too long. You, on the other hand, were able to sit for hours listening and watching basically nothing. Your training had you comfortable with nothing remarkable happening for days. You didn’t even fidget as you sat at the desk, waiting for one of Makarov’s men to slip.
Soap’s leg was bouncing up and down as he sat on the edge of the bed, getting impatient. He wished they went with the original plan. At least that one had some more action. Ghost sitting beside him smacked his knee. “Knock it off. You’re shaking the bed.”
“Sorry, Lt. I’m just bored. We’ve been listening to nothing for days. Is it too late to go with the original plan?” He whined, taking off his headphones to ease the ache on his ears. Ghost would be lying if he said he wasn’t growing antsy too. He wasn’t used to inaction during missions. Who knew when someone would talk as well? They didn’t have time to wait it out for much longer.
Simon looked to the back of your head, your complete focus on listening to passing conversations. You had been quiet ever since you got back from tapping the building. Distant. You have taken extra care to evade the team’s attempts at inclusion. You’ve dodged their meal invites, removed yourself from small talk, and altered your routes to avoid them. Simon was especially missing your attention, your eyes having refused to meet his for days.
It wasn’t like you were blocking out the entire world, though. You still listened in on their comments. Their questioning of your plan. You just haven’t cared enough to respond back. The desire to keep your distance has been stronger than ever, especially since your mind tended to wander towards the night you were on top of Ghost when you didn’t want to. You still remembered the look in his eyes. Passionate. Aching. Feverish. Just thinking about how he looked at you when he was so close to death by your hand made you tremble.
God, and his growing erection? You’ve attempted to make excuses for him. Perhaps it was just something in his pocket. Perhaps it has just been a while for him too. It was just the adrenaline of facing death in the face. It was just him imagining someone else for a second. Someone much prettier. Someone more delicate.
You knew it wasn’t true, though. He was turned on by you. And you were turned on by him. You couldn’t forget how your own heart was shuttering for him as he wanted you after you bested him.
This was why it was important to keep your distance. You promised yourself that you wouldn’t get wrapped up in his stupid games again.
There was a knock on the door before Price and Gaz entered, ready to take over for their shift. As soon as Soap noticed his captain, he got up to stretch his legs. Price looked over at you, wondering if you were going to finally take a break after outlasting four shift changes. You didn’t even look in his direction.
“Men, could you give me and Hex some privacy?” John asked. The team knew it was actually an order, so they nodded and left the two of you. As soon as the door closed once again, you turned around and faced the captain, not bothering to take your headphones off. He seemed tense as he took a spot on the edge of the bed. While the stay in Italy has been a refreshing experience compared to the dangerous environments he was often sent to, he felt like it was time to take initiative.
“Hex, we haven’t gotten any key information in days. We are running out of time. I think it’s about time we go back to the intended plan.” Price delicately explained, not wanting to trigger any anger from you.
You knew that the 141 was cracking. They weren’t built for things like this. You understood their need to spring into action. However, you still rejected the idea. “We need to be patient. I never promised that information would come overnight.”
“We understand that. We jus-”
You held your hand up swiftly as voices flooded into your ears. Just as quickly, you swiveled around in your chair to face the monitors. A pen was taken up in your hand, prepared to jot down notes on a piece of paper. Price’s brows shot up, adrenaline pumping as it seemed you finally were getting a lead. He rushed to the door and opened it, inviting the men to hurry back in. “She’s got something!”
Before you knew it, you had four large men surrounding you, watching you write down choppy notes that they could barely read. In order to get everything down, you excluded certain letters in your spelling. It was the best way to ensure you didn’t miss anything.
“Holy hell, this is-” Kyle began, utterly shocked over what he was reading.
“The shipment route.” Ghost finished for him. The 141 now knew how Makarov was moving dangerous weapons across Europe without getting flagged. Where he was probably hiding many of his dealers too.
Just as fast as how the conversation started, it ended. You took off your headphones and brushed out your hair with your fingers. “Paris Catacombs. Nearly 2,000 acres. Only a tiny fraction is available to the public for tourism. Many parts of it are still unexplored.”
You swiveled back around in your chair to look at Price. There was some bite in your question for him. “You still want to switch plans?”
Instead of being annoyed by your dig, he was relieved. Happy, even. He met your cocky smile with a genuine one. “What’s the plan now, Hex?”
“Follow shipment. Makarov’s men are getting ready to move their shipment at three in the morning. We’ll follow them there, dressed as tourists taking a train to Paris. On said train, we’ll plant a tracking device on a few of them. They should lead us right to their catacombs entrance and straight to the supply.” You began to plan out, the men following your every word like you were a preacher.
“Saves us time from searching 2,000 acres in the dark.” Gaz deduced as he mulled the plan over in his head. Good. He really didn’t want to be stuck in such a large labyrinth surrounded by bones. The one that Ghost sewed onto his mask sometimes creeped him out enough.
“Correct. We’ll find whatever else we can silently and discreetly. If we’re lucky, Makarov will come for a surprise inspection. If not. . .” You continued, the gears in your brain turning as you thought of something creative.
They waited for you to continue, knowing that you were calculating this all in your head on the fly. Giving you a minute to think it over was something they were willing to give you. Finally, you finished your plan. “If not, we bring him to us. Makarov isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty if he wants something done. That something will be an interview.”
“An interview?” Price questioned.
You took a deep breath. You weren’t afraid to get your hands dirty too if you wanted something done. “An interview with an assassin. One unknown to the world looking to join his cause. One that would be willing to kill off the 141.”
Eyes went wide at your proposed idea. Simon was the first to object, his tone dangerously low and warning. “No.”
Your gaze snapped to him, a scowl instantly forming on your face. “I didn’t ask for your permission or opinion. This is the plan going forward. If you hate it, keep it to yourself.”
Price cleared his throat, the days spent with you making him a little more comfortable at attempting to calm you down. “I think what Ghost meant to say is that we’re just worried about you. There’s no telling what he may do to you if you two are alone or if he suspects anything. Do you think you would be able to assassinate him before he gets wise?”
A confident nod made most of their shoulders relax save for one which didn’t surprise you in the least. He looked ready to punch something. For now, you ignored his obvious stewing. “I can do it. Once Makarov is confirmed dead, we can call in for a mass arrest of the rest of his men as well as confiscate all of the weapons. The confiscated weapons could help you figure out where they came from if you trace them back too. That should lead you to the other heads of the hydra to take care of.”
The team gave it some thought before nodding in approval. You’ve earned their trust on this. However, you did feel the need to warn them about how you were going to earn Makarov’s good graces. “In order for him to trust me enough to get close, I’m gonna need to reveal some of your information. Names, dates, reports. Anything to make sure I can slide my knife across his neck.”
They shifted uncomfortably from your transparency. They didn’t like the idea of you handing over their information on a silver platter. However, if it would lead to the success of the mission, they would suck it up. Hopefully Makarov wouldn’t live for too long with it. Price gave his final approval before telling his men to pack up so they can move right on time.
You didn’t join them. Instead, you left the room and headed up to the space you have been retreating to to decompress alone. This time, though, Simon watched you leave with the intention to follow.
~
The sky was painted with beautiful hues of pink, orange, purple, and blue as the sun began to set. The streets were full of people from shoppers to diners. For everyone else, today was just another beautiful day in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It was crazy to you how so many people could live such normal lives. How you weren’t born into it. How you may never be a part of it. Your time at the cabin didn’t count. Nothing counted when you didn’t exist.
You heard the rooftop door open, no gentleness in how it creaked open. Harsh footsteps broke your peace, the steps getting louder as they approached you. When they stopped, you turned around to face Ghost who was still steaming. He was so close to you that you could smell his soap. It wasn’t the hotel soap that was provided to every guest. It was his own that he must’ve brought with him. It was a rich, spiced scent. Like spiced apples and hot rum.
“Congratulations, you have convinced everyone else that what you’re planning isn’t absolutely fuckin’ crazy. Are you fuckin’ proud of yourself?” He growled, his hands landing on the stone wall on either side of you, pinning you in place. Nowhere to escape this time. Not unless you used force again.
“What’s your fucking problem, Simon?! Why have you insisted on picking a fight with me on every single fucking thing that I do?!” You spat back, feeding off of his anger.
Every muscle in his body was tense with rage. He wanted to shake your shoulders, yell at you, talk some sense into you. Makarov was a dangerous man with dangerous thoughts. Who knew what could happen to you behind a closed door alone with him. Or worse, lost in the catacombs. It was a risk he didn’t want to take, despite his team already approving the plan. “You have no idea what you are getting into, Hex. This is a man that took down a plane. A man that organized acts of terrorism around the world. All while trying to pin it on another country. He will stop at nothing to get what he wants!”
God, he was so stupid! His inability to see the forest through the trees was beyond infuriating to deal with. “That’s what we’re exploiting, you fucking jackass! He wants information. He wants you dead! All of you!”
“When you walk into his space and offer your services, he’s gonna want you too. Not just your abilities and empty promises. All of you. Why can’t you understand that?” He coldly explained, his face inching closer to yours as an attempt to intimidate you.
Unfortunately, it didn’t work. You were just confused followed by incredulous. “Are you implying that he may become attracted to me? Trust me, Simon that isn’t happening. It’s not going to happen.”
Your inability to take the situation more seriously had him burning. It was like his blood was boiling his insides. He was so upset with you. Ghost grabbed both of your wrists and held them tight against his broad chest. He knew he shouldn’t grab you so suddenly, but he needed you to get it. “It is going to happen, Hex! He’s going to want you! Open your fuckin’ eyes to that very real, very likely possibility.”
“How do you know?! How the hell do you know that?!” You screamed as you tried to pull your hands away from his grasp, but to no avail. Being pinned against the wall didn’t help give you more flexible space either. He was just too strong. Too caught up in his whirlwind of emotion, something he has never lost control of until he met you.
“Because I want you!” He finally blurted out, his own breath gasping at his confession. The furious expression you wore melted into pure shock. That was the last thing you expected to hear from him. You almost thought that you misheard him. However, his reaction to his own words indicated that you didn’t mishear or misunderstand. He said he wanted you.
Your heart was beating faster than ever as you processed his words. Was that what his problem was this entire time? He couldn’t handle having a crush on you? You didn’t know if you wanted to laugh or scream at him.
His gaze darkened as he steeled his expression, trying to salvage the situation. He tried to make his tone more soft, but it just came out even deeper than before in a way that seemed sensual. “I want you to be part of this team. I want you to finally learn how to trust us. Rely on us. You don’t have to do everything alone, Hex. You don’t have to put yourself in such a dangerous situation where Makarov may have the advantage. We just want you to be safe. I want you to be safe.”
His eyes searched yours for any ounce of understanding. Any ounce of surrender. Anything to indicate that you may change your mind about sealing yourself away with Makarov.
You averted your eyes away from his, breaking his heart painfully. The truth was you didn’t know how to react. You’ve never been cared about this deeply before. Sure, Kate cared, but you two came to an understanding. Kate always lets you do your thing. If you were to die while doing it, then she would retrieve your body to burn and scatter your ashes to the creek behind your cabin. No regrets. No remorse. No worries.
You weren’t sure if hearing Simon establish that it was your safety he wanted instead of yourself made you relieved or disappointed either.
The sick feeling in your stomach when the team praised you for your work came back. Your brows furrowed as you contemplated making your own confession. “I’m not used to people worrying about me, you know? I’m not used to relying on other people either.”
Ghost gave a sigh of relief. So, that’s what you’ve been thinking. For a moment, he thought that you were going to reject him again. Perhaps you were going to reject him soon, but your lack of immediate rejection was promising. “We’ve noticed. It’s something we can work on.”
You shook your head and gave a fake laugh, feeling like a complete idiot. It was a new feeling for you. “I wouldn’t even know where to start.”
“We can start with little things. If you’re uncomfortable with a personal question, just say ‘pass’ and we can focus on a new one. Together.” He reassured, his grip on your wrists loosening. A free hand gingerly took your chin to guide your gaze back on him. Burning with anger, smoldering with victory, or wavering with compassion, he missed your gaze.
As you looked up at him, you felt your stomach do flips. Ghost’s blue eyes sucked you right in, drowning you in a way that you were both scared of and didn’t mind. Now more than ever, you wanted to know the face behind the mask. Perhaps with time, you would. That was, until the mission was over. Finally, after all of this fighting, you conceded. “Fine. I’ll try.”
Simon bit back his smile under the fabric, trying to hide his joy. “Good. First question; What’s your favorite song?”
“Pass.” You answered quickly, his eyes still pouring into you.
“Alright. What is your favorite food?” He tried again, his smile slowly evaporating.
“Pass.” You repeated your first answer.
“Favorite drink?”
“Pass.”
“Favorite color?”
“Pass.”
He huffed in annoyance, the grip on your chin just getting slightly firmer. How were you still frustrating to deal with after you just said you would comply? “You know, you have to answer at least a couple of them.”
You cursed, clearly not being able to help it. “I fucking know that! Just. . . Just give me a minute.”
The sun was setting deeper, some stars gracing the inky black that was making its way across the palate of the sunset. The hum of people on the streets below had quieted down. Live music began to play from one of the nearby restaurants, a soft, romantic melody drifting up to your ears. It calmed you. Allow you to settle down your mind and your heart.
You closed your eyes and finally answered his questions, one by one. Some of them amused him. Some of them were of no surprise. Yet, it all seemed befitting of you. While you kept your eyes closed, taking deep breaths, he answered the questions himself. What finally made you open your eyes was his drink of choice.
Hearing your genuine laugh was real music to his ears. Even if you were making fun of him. “Kentucky bourbon? You mean piss-flavored rubbing alcohol?”
“Hey, I didn’t make fun of your favorites.” He defended, holding back some chuckles himself. That was the usual response to his admittance of enjoying Kentucky Bourbon above all else. He was used to it.
“Alright, alright. My bad.” You continued to snicker.
A moment of comfortable silence passed between the two of you followed by a magnetic pull. His eyes scanned your face. Your eyes, your nose, your lips. Your lips looked so soft. So. . . kissable.
Your hand slowly went up to tug the edge of his balaclava between your fingers. Now, it was your turn to ask him a personal question. It was only fair. “Why the mask?”
Ghost’s collarbone tingled as your skin grazed his. He gave a light shrug, shaking off the electric current running through him. “Same reason why you keep yourself hidden. Easier to be unknown.”
“I see. . .” You simply acknowledged, your fingers still toying with his mask. They ached to pull it up and see the face that has dared to get close to you. To see if his blonde lashes matched his hair. To see if his lips were as kissable as you imagined.
His other hand went up and grabbed your hand, stopping you from toying around with it any further. You quirked a brow and smirked. “Let me guess. Pass?”
Your cheekiness was such a turn on. Everything about you was. The more he found out about you, the more he wanted you. Not just wanted you to be part of the team or wanted you to be safe like he told you. He genuinely wanted you. All of you. “Hex. . .”
The door creaked open, causing the both of you to jump away from each other. You turned around, sharing your blush with the sunset instead of Simon and whoever just entered the rooftop. Simon rubbed the back of his neck and cleared his throat, also flustered. Thankfully, Kyle didn’t notice anything amiss. “Sorry. Been looking for you guys everywhere. Just wanted to extend a dinner invitation. It’s our last night in Italy. It could be nice eating together. You in, Ghost?”
Ghost crossed his arms over his chest, resisting the urge to strangle Kyle for breaking the moment he shared with you. Much to his and Kyle’s surprise, you spoke up. “Does that invitation extend to me too?”
“O-Oh! Yeah, of course! We can all eat together.” Gaz happily responded, over the moon that you were finally going to join them in a meal. Your progress seems to be going well.
You turned after your blush died down and headed to the door, preparing yourself for what was to come. You haven’t shared a meal with someone since you were a teenager. Simon followed right behind you, both proud of you for putting yourself out there, and also jealous that your attention that was on him just a few seconds ago was now going to be shared amongst his team.
To rectify this, we would be sure to be the one to sit next to you while you ate.

the lobby was crowded. like always. spider people here, there, everywhere. floor to ceiling as they traversed to their different destinations whether that be another dimension to fix anomalies or just the food court to get some lunch.
your headphones covered your ears to keep the loud conversations at bay as you mind your business. nothing to do, just tapping finger to finger in random patterns as you observed everyone with your background music. with your eyes landing near the entrance of the building you saw gwen and hobie, along with someone you’d never met before but excited for the new face. literally new face.
“gwen! hobie!” you shouted after pushing the bulky headphones down to your neck before rushing towards them. they waved you close to them, gwen with a friendly smile and hobie with his watchful eyes but only filled with kindness.
you stopped before the three of them and gave the two of them quick hugs before they could make any objections. attention now on the new person. his was tall and lean and looked a few years younger than you. black kid with curly hair and wandering dark eyes.
“hi, i’m y/n l/n. or spidey or spider, if you want. but best to use my name since we’re all spiders.” mouth moving on its own. “sorry. just haven’t seen a new face or person in a little bit. no offense to the peter’s,” you leaned closer to his face and he leaned away slightly from the intrusion, “but there are too many of him. and a lot of them sound closely the same.”
“don’t let peter hear that.” gwen joke. she gave a quick nudge to her quiet friend. “this is miles morales.”
“h-hi. yeah, i’m miles. nice to meet you, this place is just… wow.” head turning in all directions to get the full scope.
“yeah, kinda crazy. but miguel worked hard to make all this happen for us. kinda nice to physically see you're not alone in the fight.”
“speaking of-“ gwen got cut off by miles glitching out and dropping to the floor in pain. you knelt with him and touched his shoulder. “he doesn’t have a watch?” frantic as you check his wrist for the bulky device but not finding it. gwen bit her lip but avoided eye contact and looked at someone behind you.
“here,” you heard the motherly voice of jessica drew, “day pass.” and saw how miles caught the flimsy band before slipping it on.
“why don’t we get some food?” trying to break the sudden tension jessica brought with her. but before anyone could agree or disagree with your idea, she spoke up. “actually the three…” her eyes lingered on you and the touch of your hand to miles’s shoulder, “the four of you need to see miguel. it’s urgent.”
you didn’t like that. you don’t like it whenever miguel calls for you and it’s not for a job. you tried making an excuse, “actually, i should get-“ “don’t lie your way out, y/n. just follow the rules.” jessica commanded.
she started to walk away, then gwen and hobie followed after her. “hey,” miles tried to make eye contact. you felt like shrinking into yourself. “don’t worry. i’m sure it’ll be fine.”
you knew it wasn’t but didn’t bother. a weary smile, “why don’t we stop by the food court?” fingers circling his wrist as you tugged him along. “miguel loves the empanadas and it wouldn’t hurt to keep him on the nice side.” miles happily agreed.
-
the walk to miguel’s ‘office’ was always dark and quiet. too quiet, the sound of just your breathing and footsteps sounding like blaring sirens that bounced off the walls. you hated the walk. instinctively you wore your headphones over your ears and played something, but at a low volume to still hear miles and hobie converse. gwen led your group, her back the only thing you saw as she didn’t bother with facing any of you. she felt closed off.
you eyed hobie as he nicked bits and pieces from walls, tables, and junk. you didn’t stop him like miles was trying, just watching with pure curiosity, wondering what he was up to. always doing something to rebel.
miles turned to you and you saw his mouth moving, but only faintly heard his words. pausing the music and moving the device back to your neck you asked him to repeat his sentence.
“so, how does one get recruited for this spider society?” he held the to-go box in both hands. his thumbs rubbing at the top in a nervous sort of gesture.
“i- i don’t think you’d like it very much.” not wanting miles to be stuck like the rest of you. “catching anomalies is very annoying. and very busy. wouldn’t you like to stay in your dimension? with your friends and family?” voice going soft and melancholy. fingers toying with the device at your wrist.
you didn’t notice how miles eyes softened from your tone or how gwen looked fully over her shoulder towards you, knowing the true meaning of your words. and hobie continued to knick bits.
“well…” miles tried to restart the conversation, “i mean. at least with the watch, i can visit my friends. i can hang out with you more.” a playful nudge to your arm pulled a smile. a new friend, you liked the thought.
“why not just make your own watch?” hobie commented. he broke something off a defective project and stuffed it into his vest pocket. “you look smart enough to build from scraps.” he kicked his thick boots at objects in his path.
“i wanna do this by the rules. by the books.” he shrugged his shoulders. face looking just a bit glum.
“are either of your parents' cops?” a simple question you posed.
he looked confused but still answered, “my dad. gonna be captain soon.” he smiled down at the ground. he must be very proud of his family.
now you nudge his shoulder, “well, i bet your dad is proud of you. knowing or not knowing. but sometimes, you shouldn’t play by the book.” a hushed whisper.
“aye, y/n!” hobie slapped his hands on your shoulders, “that’s what i like to hear! screw the system. do what you need to do, my guy.”
“guys!” gwen raised her voice, “please can we just-“ she trailed her sentence off with a tilt of her head. the four of you were getting closer.
“miles, just remember,” hobie leaned towards miles, “don’t join the establishment until you know what you’re fighting for.”
the hallway widened out and when you looked up, miguel had his back turned as he stood on his platform. miles looked to gwen and she held a hand up, “yeah. i know, but it’s his thing. so just…” and she trailed off again.
gwen and miles walked further into the light as you and hobie stayed near the dark. hobie situated himself along the wall, fingers playing with whatever he got his hands on. you leaned beside him with your arms crossed over your chest and hip cocked. just from this show alone, you know miles is in for a miguel tantrum.
“how’s it been?” eyes on hobie, “um… okay.” you picked at the nylon of your suit, “sometimes if i’m bored, i go to other places. they let me as long as i don’t cause trouble. sorry i haven’t visited recently.” a twist to your lips.
hobie waved you off, “ain’t a problem. pop by whenever. gwendys around most times.”
your heads turned when miguel raised his voice and threw the food box to the ground. you pushed away from the wall and walked closer to the light.
“what’d i do?” “miguel. it’s not his fault.” miles and gwen’s voices mixed. you heard a thwip and turned to see hobie stealing the free food.
“he’s screwed everything up! just like doctor strange and that little nerd from earth-1999999.” miguel pinched his nose bridge.
“i visited there once. interesting place.” miles seemed to be the only one intrigued by your story. “they have this group called the avengers.” eyes widening at the word.
“are they like a band?” miles cocked his head. “no earth’s mightiest-“
“who the hell cares!”
you flinched at the boom of miguel’s voice and slinked back into the dark shadows by hobie. automatically he threw an arm over your shoulder and pulled you to his side.
“someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed,” he muttered. you wanted to comment but felt if you even made a peep miguel would be on your ass. hobie, always the kind friend, noticed your silence and slipped your headphones back on. you didn’t need music at the moment just something to muffle the noise.
eyes watched how miguel and miles spoke. their bodies tense, miguel using his looming height advantage to have more authority. mile's lanky arms fling about and look from gwen to miguel. with your headphones, you couldn’t hear, but you saw how miles turned around and his face was graced with a smile as he ran to someone.
“oh great. humbling reality spider-man has joined.” hobie’s words muffled before you made your ears free again.
you saw peter parker, peter b parker, as he liked to be called. he and miles shared a hug and you started to look at the walls and ceilings.
“why do you have a baby carrier?” miles pointed at the carrier peter always wore.
“mayday!” you squeal when you see her crawling your way. the two of you were well acquainted since you’ll babysit for peter and mj on short notice. or whenever really, they were such a kind family.
the little bundle of joy yipped when you crouched to her level and pulled her to your chest. her tiny hands setting on your shoulders as her blue and green eyes darted over your face. a gloved hand smoothed some of her flyaways and wind-swept hair.
“you have a baby!” you heard miles. “i have a baby! yeah, it’s crazy kid.” peter sighed.
“how’s my favorite web crawler? huh? causing trouble for your dad?” cooing in a baby voice. pretending she could understand every word and would reply in detail about the chaos she brings. you pinched at her chubby cheeks.
“can we get back to business? serious business?” miguel always brings the mood down.
“you are the only serious spider person. we’re supposed to be funny. throwing quips as we punch bad guys.” peter grumbled and made a mocking tone of miguel. he looked about ready to send everyone away.
“lyla, do the thing.” the computer teased miguel for a moment before doing the thing he asked. she pulled up the web of life and destiny.
“it’s called something very scientific, but i like to just call it the spider web. short and simple.” a side comment to miles. “cool.”
“these are canon events. things that can’t change no matter what or the universe collapses.” getting bit by the spider. uncle ben dying or someone close to you. a captain saving a kid but getting killed in the process.
miguel showed different versions of spider-man in those different scenarios. he specifically showed the spiders mourning the death of captain stacy.
you pressed mayday’s head into your shoulder, not wanting her to see this. you turned to gwen and saw her poker face, but you could see the emotion swimming in her irises. she hadn’t been back to her dimension in a while, always crashing in different spots.
“miles,” you looked away as you bounced the child, “what you did back in pavitr’s reality, it broke canon. that’s what caused the black hole and hopefully, we can stop it. but it doesn’t always happen.”
you felt eyes on you. you didn’t like the sudden attention. but you were starting to get why jessica brought you here. why miguel pointed a finger at you to miles confusion. he wanted you to be on his side.
“y/n… do you want to tell miles what happened?” you ignored him. playing with mayday, knuckles caressing her rosy cheeks. “y/n… the kid needs to understand the importance.” you sighed and pressed a kiss to mayday’s temple.
“understand what?” miles walked closer to you. “y/n? what happened?”
you licked your lips. “my reality is gone. i… i got to love my gwen stacy. i didn’t lose any family or a captain who i was bickering friends with. i- i got to have it all. i ‘broke’ canon, but i don’t believe that crap.”
“y/n…” miguel had a warning tone.
“everything was wonderful. not once after each event happened a giant hole formed until one day it just did. it was just a normal day. gwen and i were having a date at this ice cream shop she loved, she looked so pretty. she always did. we were walking towards the met since she kept saying we needed to visit more.”
you raised mayday above you and flashed a toothy smile. she giggled and you pulled her close to rub noses. a sigh as you continue your story.
“it- it just happened out of nowhere. i can’t even place what the cause would have been. one minute it’s a normal day and then next a black hole a few blocks away which then changed into… reality being eaten away.”
you didn’t notice the tears falling until little hands touched your cheeks. mayday stared and baby babbled. a hand to your shoulder, peter giving a pitying look. you handed his daughter back to him and wiped your tears. done with talking, but miguel finished the story.
“they already had a watch and when i noticed what was happening and the rate it was destroying everything… i managed to pull them out in time. they are the last remnants of their home reality.”
it was quiet. no one was speaking and it still felt too loud.
“but… what’s this got to do with me?” happy that miles pulled the attention back to him.
“you are the first anomaly.” miguel voiced. “your spider bite wasn’t from your dimension, you already had a spider-man. and yet somehow… everything is fine.” he seemed pissed at the simple fact.
“miles in two days your dad is gonna become captain.” gwen spoke. her tone seeping in sorrow.
miles looked around. his face scrunched in confusion and growing anger. then he did another look at the images of different peters with captain stacy. his face was dropping.
“your- you're saying i just have to let my dad die? to- to avoid reality crashing? cause it’s a- a canon event?”
“yes,” miguel replied as if that didn’t sound crazy.
miles turned to gwen, “your dad. he’s a captain right?” she nodded. “you’re just, what? just gonna let him die?” her eyes fell to the floor.
“we have to do things to keep reality stable. it’s not always pretty, but it comes with the cost of being spider-man. you can’t have both.”
“i can! i know i can! i can be spider-man and miles!”
your senses went off just a bit and you took account of all the people starting to crowd the room. this felt wrong. it felt like a trap, and for once you're the bad guys. peter and gwen tried to calm miles down, he was understandably upset at everyone shouting orders at him. you wanted to pull miles away and hide the both of you from miguel and the others. this wasn’t right.
“this will hold you for a few days.” and miguel dropped one of his devices to the floor that changed to a red-screened cage.
“miles!” you rushed to the holoprojection and started to bang your fist along with miles. gwen and peter were bickering with miguel. and hobie popped up beside you with his palms facing miles with a knowing smile.
hobie pulled you away when you started to see the electricity start to spark. then suddenly there was a loud boom and explosion of air. everyone was swept off their feet. hobie was able to keep you upright.
miles stood free and looked at his palms as he panted. he quickly looked your way and you only could say, “run.” and he took off.
“no!” miguel roared.
he started to chase after him, but you shot a web to his feet to slow him down. his crazed eyes widened at your disobedience. “you have no idea what you’ve done.” he extended the red blades from his arms, cutting himself free and rushing out of the room with others following.
your chest was panting with fear and worry. you looked to hobie for help, but he stood in a portal and threw his watch away. “for the record i quit.” and he was gone in the blink of an eye.
you were the only one on miles’s side.
you shot web after web at different spider people. at their feet, wrist, faces, anything to slow them down and give miles enough time to form a plan and execute it. you tried to catch up to him, but a few people gave you a taste of your own medicine and fought you.
you were being held down by one of the many peter parker variants, “stay out of our way!” he shouted as he webbed you uptight. you struggled against the hold but it was no use. so you were left alone once the tower was emptied, you just hoped miles was okay.
-
you were sure how long you’ve been webbed up. your body started to get that prickly feeling when it wasn’t getting proper blood flow through the body. wiggling your body in the hold, hoping to loosen it, a voice called out.
“y/n?” eyes connected with miles who was hanging upside down on a web. one side of his suit was ripped, but he looked safe.
“oh thank goodness. i tried to catch up, but as you can see, i’ve been webbed.”
miles looked around. when he eyed you again he looked hesitant to free you, you understood. some of his friends that he’s known longer turned on him behind his back. but you knew he was a different case, miguel was just using this canon logic as a cover.
“go miles. i don’t want to keep you from getting home.” a reassuring smile to his tired eyes. but he didn’t leave, he started to pull at the webbing and helped you free.
“let’s go.” he led you to the go-home machine. he was able to go invisible as he worked the computers so you stayed on the ceiling in the dark shadows.
when the machine was up and running he hopped in and called your name. you looked to margo, spider byte, who was busy with lyla as the two tried to stop the stitching process. you dived in and stood beside him, the two of you getting anxious the longer it was taking.
“stop the machine!” miguel was charging forward. you knew margo shouted a comment back without hearing her.
the machine was getting closer, it was about eighty percent closed. you thought you were in the clear, but miguel sunk his blood-red claws into the threading and started to rip at it. you pushed miles behind you, “just let us go, miguel!”
“i can’t do that, y/n! why can’t you understand i’m doing this for everyone’s safety!” he growled. the threading was holding.
“because this canon shit is a lie! if miles wasn’t supposed to be spider-man, his reality would have broken a long time ago! you’re just trying to manipulate everyone!”
your body lifted into the air. it was time to leave. and just before you were gone, you did one more reckless thing. you tore the watch off your wrist and threw it to the ground making it shatter. you stared directly into miguel’s burning eyes.
“i quit.”

a/n2: i actually wrote a little more after this part, but it just didnt end off well. i wrote this from like the hours of 8pm to 6am (i did sleep a little in between dont worry)

pairings: George russell x Wolff!fem!reader
warnings: none???
a/n: I’m so sorry the plot is hella slow 🥲 I also really don’t love this fic. feedback is always appreciated x
He got that boyish look that I like in a man
It's like I'm seventeen, nobody understands
he may not have picked it up at first, but it didn’t take him long to notice your eyes lingered on him longer than most.
that when he walked into the garage your whole mood changed, despite how hard you tried to make it not obvious, he knew. or at least, he began to know.
you spend a lot of time together, whether it’s around the paddock, in the hospitality, or at your fathers summer house— which is where you are now.
he’s sipping on a beer, standing next to Toto at the grill, two of them chatting about upcoming races and whatever seems to entertain them. jack bolts in front of you, heading out the back door where he spotted George, “Georgie porgie!” he screams, arms locking around his thin legs.
“who taught you that nickname?” he looks up from the little boy at you shrugging, little blush warming your face.
“you should’ve known to never trust me when you told me that.” you smile softly, your fingers nervously playing with the ends of your hair as you stand with the two listening in on their conversation.
Toto is talking about an important FIA event that the Mercedes team will have to attend, it’s not in anyone’s interests to go, but it’s mandatory and your father marked George for him and a plus one. neither of you know that he did this on purpose. because you see, Toto is like everyone else, tired of seeing his own daughter so madly in love with a boy who’s so oblivious. so yes, he’s willing to push you both towards each other if neither of you will do it yourselves.
“and I’ve got you marked for a plus one.”
you watch George’s eyes widen, they dart between him and susie, who just stepped out onto the porch with a drink for you, “a plus one? when did I ever indicate I had someone?”
Susie’s hand rests against your arm, “well why don’t you just take y/n? that way I can be Toto’s plus one and won’t have to fight for the seat.” she smiles brightly between the two of you, it’s too rehearsed. you notice something was up with their behavior, but George doesn’t.
“that seat can be yours, I’ll just stay home and watch jack.” you look down at the little boy, he’s on the patio wood panel playing with his trucks and formula one cars beside George’s feet.
Toto turns from the grill, shaking his head, “George has an extra seat just go with him.” he pats his driver on the back, and when you go to lock eyes, you notice his have already been on you. it makes your heart nearly skip a beat, how long had he been looking?
“George has to ask me, not have you two do it for him.”
all dinner he steals quick glances at you. each time he does, he watches your eyes break from his when he looks up at you. he’s definitely beginning to figure there’s something worth looking at whether it’s behind him or beside him, but it’s when your two drinks in and your eyes stay longer he figures, it’s him.
it’s him you’re looking at the whole time. it’s him you’re fixating on, not begging for him to look your way, just taking in every beautiful feature of his face. like the crease in his smile, the way he laughs, and the way his eyes light up around jack. you pick it all up, you want that of a man. you think there’s no one more perfect than him.
the meals are cleaned off everyone’s plates. Susie and Toto are inside cleaning, leaving you and george to build a fire while jack plays on his swing set.
he brushes past you, heading for the pile of newspapers and throws them at the bottom of the pit, while you stack wood the way your father taught you.
“it’ll be a nice fire?” he looks over at you, watching you struggle with the lighter. he reaches over and presses the button, watching a flame nearly take the ends of your hair. he’s quick to pull your hair behind your shoulders, two of you nervously laughing about the flame.
finally lighting the fire you take a seat next to George, two of you watching the orange and red flames dance around the pit, feeling the breeze of the air pick up.
“I’m going to go grab a sweatshirt, can you watch jack?”
“here just take mine.” he doesn’t give you time to reply, he’s pulling the neckline of the crewneck, it brushes over his dirty blond hair. you watch his t-shirt underneath rise up a little showing off his abs, that he loves to show off all the time, and soon enough the soft material is placed in your lap.
“all yours.” he smiles watching your eyes flicker up from his black t-shirt up to meet his greenish blue ones, you can’t help but lean a little closer when you thank him.
it’s now his turn to watch you throw on his sweatshirt, watching the way you rise a bit out of the chair to throw on the soft cotton material. the way it messes your perfectly curled hair, and how you wrap the material closer against your body, “thanks, Georgie.”
he reaches over, combing some of the strains of your hair out of your face, he feels his own smile pull wider seeing how dilated your pupils were, it’s so obvious. you really do like him, “what do you say, you want to be my plus one?”
“I would love to.”
“I knew you’d say that.”
He got my heartbeat
Skipping down 16th Avenue
Got that, oh! I mean
Wanna see what's under that attitude
Like, I want you, bless my soul
And I ain't gotta tell him
I think he knows

heartache, and other aches
parings: melissa schemmenti x fem!reader
summary: working on the furthest side of Abbott meant you avoided the cameras a lot. especially when you would always have everything you need in your classroom. but the inevitable day came when you needed to journey to the teachers lounge.
warnings: language, smut, teasing, praise kink, mommy kink, fingering, cunnilings, aftercare, fluff at the end
a/n: the way i didnt know if there was just gonna be smut or more but the lawd made her path🙏 (once again if you see mispells shhh i did proof but i mightbe missed somethings)
Tumblr media
How could you have been so careless?! You avoided that hall all year. All. Year. Now towards the end you have to find Ava for a student file to write your report.
It was her lunch time you knew that much. Which is why you expexted her to be in her office. Eating her lunch like every other time you’ve crossed her.
Carefully to not be in any camera, you made your way into the teacher’s lounge. Relieved when nobody but a few background teachers were in there.
“Oh hey y/n! Weird seeing you here,” Ava came in with a smile. “Looking for something?”
“Well I hava a report and I needed the folder from your office but couldn’t find you.” You puffed out while taking a seat. “And it’s even weirder that you’re in here without the others?”
And it was like a sixth sense, because you didn’t end your conversation you just left and just missed the camera crew. Listening to the laughter of the few teachers in there.
“One day they’ll catch her.” Jacob,laughed while walking in. “Has she ever really walked in here?”
Ava shrugged and went back to her lunch. Meanwhile Melissa and Barb walked in together.
“I’m serious Barb, even though were on the older side, we should try working out just once! There’s this nice, quiet gym not too far,” the red head was determined. “I read it was really friendly and neighborhood owned.”
“Oh I know that gym!” Ava quipped. Catching both the woman’s attention. “Yeah its really nice, a lot of the teachers around here tend to go to the more known gyms, but that one is friendly.”
“See!” Melissa beamed.
Barb contiplated the thought. Only to shake her head once more. “I’m too old to dry and lift weights,” she sighed.
Melissa scoffed. But before she could say anything Jacob spoke up. “Ya know, if you’re looking for a gym partner you could go ask y/n. She goes there daily.”
“Y/n?” Melissa became puzzled. Who were you?
Ava nodded. “Yeah, she’s really good and fit. Fine as hell too! She’s in room 216.”
“That’s on the other side of the school though?” Barbra furrowed her brows. Not understanding how there’s a teacher she’s never met.
The two shrug and left at the sound of the bell. “216 is where she can be found. No cameras though, or she’ll never let you in.”
The woman looked at each other, lost on the whole conversation. But then Barb smiled. “Seems like you have a gym buddy, which means I dont have to be!” She beamed. Taking her seat before the other teachers come in along with the camera crew.
Meanwhile, on the otherside of the school, Jacob and Ava came barging in. Disrupting your speech before you let your kids off to lunch and ‘study hall’(which was really them in the library in the furthest corner)
“Alright, now I don’t want another email from other teachers of you guys almost starting a fight. You’re the oldest ones in this building, act like it. Now go, be free for an hour. When you get back we’re gonna vote for our last book of the year.” You dismissed. Watching as they all scattered.
“You’re gonna thank us!” Jacob smiled hoping into your bean bag chair. You and Ava followed over.
“I may have found you that gym buddy you always wanted,” Ava filled you in quickly. “And she’s your type.”
Your eyes widened. “Absolutely not! I can work out if I know she’s watching me!” You shook your head. “I appreciate it but when I said I wanted a gym buddy I meant more so someone who already goes to the same gym. Like, I don’t know…”
“You needed a little push! You are never going to act on that crush hidden in this well decorated and cozy and well stocked classroom,” the two agreed. “Just give it a chance, who knows, maybe she won’t even come ask you!”
Just then there was a knock on your door. All three heads snapped to see the red head in question.
You were the first to look away. Wishing to be swallowed into a hole in the moment. “Can you two excuse us?” You whispered to them, ignoring their smiles. They nodded and scrambled away. “What can I do for you Ms. Schemmenti?”
“I’m sorry…I was just looking for Y/n?” She apologized. You only softly laughed. Making her realize, you were the one she was told about. But you look like you could barely hurt a fly. Your braids were almost perfectly done, your body fit your clothes in ways that nobody else’s could, but most of all, you didn’t look like you hit the gym everyday. “Really?”
“I was told I should be expecting you, but I didn’t think I’d get the honor so soon.” You moved to put papers around on the desk. “So, what do I owe the visit?”
“I’ve never once seen you on school grounds before.” She was still trying to process you. “I thought room 216 was Nancy’s class?”
“Mrs. Freeman left last year, Ava knew of me and gave me the spot. Said she’d keep it on the ‘DL’ for me.” You recapped the day she had texted you.
“And how close are you with Ava?”
“Close enough to be constantly invited out with her and never able to say no. She has this thing for trying to set me up with any woman who looks my way,” you could only chuckle at the antics.
Melissa lit up like a christmas tree at the mention. You? Woman? You can’t be real!
You retreated to your desk. Folding you hands and resting your head on them. A silence taking over the room. One you didn’t like. “Why’d you come here?”
She took a hesitant step closer. “I…I wanted to ask you about the gym you go to?” You nodded lightly for her to conintue. “Do you by chance want a work out buddy? Because I know I’m old but it-,”
“You’re not old?” You cut her off. Shaking you head with furrowed brows. “And I’d be more than happy to have you accompany me, but just know I go a bit late. I’ll pick you up later, how does that sound?”
Melissa was at a loss for words, so she shook her head and went on her way. Instantly coming back in to write down her number and address. A deep blush covering her face and chest.
You however, kept your face neutral. Trying to hide the overwhelming excitement that flooded your bones.
Once she was gone you could only kick your feet and silently scream.
~~~~~~~~
It was late. Almost considerably too late. You text Melissa at 7 saying be ready by 8:30. And you however, didn’t know she lived on the further side of the city. So by 9:30 you had arrived. Ringing her doorbell.
The door opened, and she didn’t look pleased with your timing. “You’re an hour late.”
“You failed to mention you lived closer to Mrs. Howard.” You frowned. She let you in, signaling for you to wait in the kitchen.
“And you know where Barbra lives? None of us have even ever seen you, so how would you know?” She raised a brow. Making a water bottle for herself.
You blushed at how you knew. “It may have been a one night stand over here. And one morning before work I saw her leaving. She leaves so early.”
Melissa scoffed. A feeing of jealousy bubbled in her. “You? A one night stand? I highly doubt it!”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” You folded your arms. Suddenly feeing agitated. “You don’t think I have it in me?”
“No! I really don’t. I mean look at you. You look like you could pass as a librarian with how small and cute you are. You hardly look like you drink.” She turned. Resting agaisnt the counter.
She was challenging you and you both knew it. But you wouldn’t back down from this. “Really? Thats what I appear to you? A fragile librarian?”
“Nothing short of one. I’m surprised you even have a gym membership.” She shurgged. “Don’t worry angel, its ok to be a librarian.”
Angel. “We’re on nicknames already?” You quirked a brow. You attempted to ignore the blush that heavily took over your face.
“I guess we are. So it seems you have to give me one. Its only fair.” She beamed. Straightening up once you started to walk forward. You had this look in your eyes that she couldn’t decipher.
Soon enough you had her between yourself and the counter she once rested on. Her breathing picked up slightly. How could you have this effect?
You leaned in close to her ear. Biting on her lobe before humming. “I’ll have to think…what about…mommy?” You smiled pulling away to look in her eyes.
They were darker than before and just as she inched closer to connect your lips, you pulled back. Pushing off her and walking towards the door.
“Gym gets empty in an hour, it’ll be perfect timing.” You acted as if nothing happened. As if you didn’t just flirt heavily with her.
“How far is the gym?” Melissa tried to recollect herself.
You beamed, “only twenty minutes away. But, you picked someone who’s been going to the same gym since freshman year.”
Her green eyes widened. “What’s that supposed to mean?!” She followed you out.
You both got in the car and you just smiled at her. Starting the drive while humming along to the music.
And the night was the start of many. But every single night after, you would go home to take the worlds coldest showers. You were always down for her. Hands always on her, and you said it was just spotting. You never went more than a fether light touch.
But your eyes had a mind of their own. They would stare at her. Her ever curve. The way her workout clothes hugged and did her justice. How her hair was tied up until she would shake it out and then flash you a smile. Throwing a wink in as well.
“Schemmenti, better be careful before I start making moves on you.” You would joke.
“And who says I don’t want you to do that? Wouldnt you like to be mommy’s?” Was always her reply. Knowing that the words made you flush.
But she never knew you would go home to your bed. Hand between your legs while you played out many fantasies with her.
Always imaging it was her fingers knuckle deep. Aways her edging you till tears. Always her praising you. Always a good girl for mommy she would whisper in your ear as she pounded into you.
Or if it was you in the cold shower with her warm body behind you. Her hand tracing tight circles in a fast pattern till you were shaking in her arms. A whisper of you’re ok, mommy’s here. I got you.
Maybe it was the one of you and her at the empty gym. You would catch her staring at you while you took off your sweatshirt. Crimson covering your face as you looked away. Her soft hand would cup your face a smirk on her face. Mommy’s pretty play thing would fall from her mouth.
Or worse. Somehow and someway she would drop by unexpectedly while you moaned her name. You wouldnt even make it to your bed. Youd be sprawled out on the couch in the sweatshirt she once gave you when some guys checked you out. Whimpers and pleads for her to come finish you. She would chuckle mommy’s dirty girl. Couldn’t even make it to your room.
“Y/n? Girl who is taking up that mind of yours?” Ava walked in your class. She had caught you staring looking so stressed out at your papers. “Is it that gym buddy?” She teased. Laughing loudly when your let your head fall and nod.
“Ava, it’s a curse I swear!” You whined. Rolling your head to watch her sit on the rolly chair and come close. “It’s literally every night at this point. I’m in heat or whatever constantly and nothing is soothing it. I even tried a one night stand with some random lady at a bar and it didn’t work! I just…she’s making me feel like there is nothing but her to fix it.”
“Ok, then have sex with her!” Ava chirped. Her smile was different though. You knew that smile. That was the smile of mischief.
You picked you head up when you registered it. “Ava what did you do?”
She snorted as there was a knock at your door. “Gave you the boost you needed.” She wiggled her brows before you looked at the door.
Melissa stood there. Smirking at everything you said. “I’m out before it gets sweaty, this lace ain’t cut out for that!”
She rushed passed mummbling something to Melissa before looking at you. She flipped her hair and walked out.
You couldnt move. The redness on your face began to infect your chest. And it wasn’t any help that you wore a cami with a cradigan today.
Melissa walked in, closing the door behind her, you missed when she locked it. “So…” Her voice was low. “Is it true?”
You couldn’t look at her. You were beyond embarrassed. You opened your mouth but shut it almost instantly.
“Look at me baby,” she hummed. You couldn’t tell if this was real or not. Your breathing was quick. You had to be in a dream. “Angel. I won’t ask again.”
On that you turned you head. Thinking the blush couldnt deepen until you felt fire. She was right there. So close.
Her index finger was under your chin, making you look up at her. “Every night?”
A quiet whimper left your throat. It was so quiet. You thought you would be safe seeing as your heart beat was louder.
“Every night.” She said again with the devil’s grin. “I’ll see you tonight for the gym angel, wear something cute ok?”
You could’ve died right there. You gave her a dazed nod. Lips parting as she walked away.
But as her hand made the lock, you couldn’t contain yourself. You moved quicker than your chair falling to the ground. The sudden noise making Melissa turn to find you already behind her.
You, with no thought behind your eyes, grabbed her face and pulled her into a kiss. It was seering for you. It was what you wanted. What you needed to further everything you’ve ever thought of.
Every dirty thought about her suddenly felt possible. It was now a maybe that you could have this woman. All you wanted was this woman.
It was what you needed to let out that needy whimper for her. The noise wasn’t even close to embarrassing you. You knew you would be a mess for her. And the noises that would come from you were what she needed.
Melissa kissed you back, maybe not as intense, but certainly telling you she wanted it too. But the moment that beautiful noise you let out made its way to her ears, she couldn’t take it. She broke away first.
Her eyes slowly opened before yours. You still were in your own world. Even while your eyes were open. She could see the fuzziness in those blown pupils.
“I’ll see you later angel, be good for me will ya’?” She pecked your cheek before leaving you.
Tears pricked at your eyes. You needed her desperately and didn’t know if you could make it till that late. But you wanted to be her good girl, so even if it made you ache, you would hold off.
That’s exactly what happened though. Your body ached and your lips longed for her. Her soft touch caressing you in ways you couldn’t think were possible. Her green eyes staring down at you as you came undone from just another kiss. How her teeth would shine when she smiles at you again. How her teeth would feel with her nibbling at your heated skin.
You couldn’t pull it together. You knew you couldn’t. You had to see her again. It’s how you found your way to her class room. You never went in though.
What if you come off too needy? What if she gets repulsed by it? How badly you need her though. Her soft touch would make you fall apart almost instantly.
Your thoughts got the better of you and you broke into a sweat. Feeling suddenly too hot to even breathe.
You knew you weren’t gonna make it. You wanted to try. You had only two hours left. How bad could that be?
~~~~~~~~~~~
Terrible. Thats how it was. Not only did you get flirtatious text every ten minutes, but your students had noticed your sudden ansy behavior. Your leg was constantly bouncing, you had hardly taught them anything, barely looked up to see what they were doing. You just couldn’t break your eyes away from the papers.
“Ms. y/l/n?” One student called. Getting a distant hum from you. “Are you ok? You lookin’ mad flushed…”
“Yeah, I’m fine. Um our book for the rest of the year. Do you guys really want to do it?” You glamced around at them all. Everyone was agreeing no. “Right, ok, so what if we didn’t then? What if I told you your last project is a presentation on whatever you want?”
They all seemed to enjoy that idea so much more. “Why the sudden change?” A girl poked.
You shrugged. “You’re not gonna learn anything from a book. So the book presentation will be changed to what you want. Just somehow connect it to what weve learned. You can start now, or the rest of the day is yours!” You had a small smile watching them move around.
That was how your day ended. A loud class and shaky legs.
The first moment they were all gone, was the same one as you locking the door and crumbling onto the ground.
The ache between your legs was excruciating. You needed a relief and you needed it soon or you might actually die.
Your hand gripped at your stomach. It felt tense. Too tense. You were so focused on trying to pull yourself together, you missed the knock on your door. Also the rattling of the door knob.
Tears began to stream down your face. How could one woman not touch you and make you feel so much?
“Y/n! Hun, are you ok?” You could hear the worried voice of Melissa next to you. Her hand delicately falling on your back. The contact made you cry out. Trying to get away from the pain. “Angel, what’s wrong?”
You shook your head. Grabbing on the side of a desk and standing up. “N..Nothing. I’m ok!” You tried. Eyes glancing to Ava who was confused. But once she saw your eyes, she knew exactly what was wrong.
“Just text me if you need anything!” She winked before closing the door and rushing away.
Melissa stared at you as you tried to collect your bags. “Y/n?” You kept in your own world. “Y/n, please talk to me.”
You turned and looked at her. Staring in her eyes with the widest pupil’s she’s ever seen. “I…you’re…” You couldnt get any of it out. So you kissed her. Not like earlier. Not with the heat you had been feeling. No. This was more simple. Careful. Meaningful.
“Oh…” She hummed once you pulled back. “I see…”
You frowned. There was something that told you, you weren’t getting that relief so easily. It pained you again that more tears sprang from your eyes.
“Please,” you whispered out. Choking on a quiet sob. “I..I can’t handle it. I’ll be good but please Mel. It hurts,” you could only whisper these words.
She held you cheek, her thumb wiping away the tears. She kissed the top of your head. “Lets go home then? I’ll cook you dinner, how does that sound?”
You had a glisten in your eye. She said home. As if you already were her’s. You hugged her tightly, burrying you head into her neck.
“I know princess,” She had a smile in her words. “Lets go home.”
You two left hand in hand out the building. Never once letting go (except for putting your bags down).
Melissa opened the door for you, “Make yourself cozy on the couch baby, I’ll bring you over clothes to change into.”
You furrowed your brows. You didn’t leave clothes here? But when Melissa handed you the sweatshirt, and only the sweatshirt, you lit up at her.
Pulling all your clothes off right there and covering yourself in her. Hugging yourself tightly and smelling the fabric.
“Come on baby, come keep me company while I cook yeah?” She held out her hand. Beaming once you took it.
She could sense you felt better. And you were. All her attention was yours. You were glowing in it.
Melissa lifted you up onto the counter. Standing between your legs and placing a soft kiss to your lips.
You watched her cook while sipping on a glass if juice. You weren’t that big of a drinker, which came as no surprise to you fiery red head.
She had assumed so too, and last night when Ava texted her the plan, she had to go buy you apple juice (Ava mentioned it was your favorite).
Once she finished she handed you the plate and stayed between your legs. Both of you ate off of the same plate while talking.
Melissa, however, could only focus on how cute you looked. Sitting here in her sweatshirt, in her home. Most of all, it was the look in your eyes any time you got to put a fork full of pasta in her mouth. Had she fallen deeper than she thought?
“Melly?” You frowned. You had asked a question and she just stared at you. Almost smitten by something.
She leaned forward, kissing you all over your face with care. Placing a final one to your lips. “I’m sorry angel, what’d you say?”
“I asked howd you learned to cook so fast?” You cheesed. The kisses making up for the lack of undivided attention.
“I grew up with it. It’s a family thing I guess.” She answered. Her eyes falling to the plate that was empty. “Let’s get cleaned up?”
You nodded your head and hopped down the counter. Getting ready to wash the plate until you were stopped. “Baby, you’re at home, relax.”
She did it again. The home thing. You couldn’t understand it, but the feeling it was making you feel. Warm and fuzzy.
Melissa tried to push you to the couch, which was her having to lead you the entire way. She tried to leave you alone. Yet you didn’t want to be away from her. You grabbed her hand and pulled her down to you. Kissing her lips hungrily.
She tried to hide her excitement for what would happen, but she wanted to see you wait longer. “Soon pretty girl,” She said into the kiss.
You grew upset at that. “I’ve been good! I can’t wait any longer!” You fussed. “You’re not being fair.”
She laughed at that. Not a soft chuckle, a full laugh. One that actually made you feel a bit embarrassed at this childish behavior. “You are such a needy thing. But I have to clean up dinner before we do anything.” Her hand rested on your chest. Feeling the drumming of your heart.
You grabbed at her wrist. Slowly teasing yourself as you pushed it to run down you body. Letting her cup you heat. Feeling how soaked you were.
A moan leaving you as she took control and added pressure. “Please!” You damn near screamed. Your eyes glossed over. “I need you! I can’t wait!”
She kissed your neck. Once. Twice. Then sunk her teeth into your pulse point. Listening to your body as you bucked into her hand. Trying to get yourself off on it.
“Be careful baby, if I start now I don’t know if we’ll make it to school tomorrow.” She smirked at you. “Or do you want me to wreck this pretty pussy?”
You nodded your head eagerly. “Yes! God! Yes!” You shook. Was it cause you were cold? Or was it you were that in need? The answer was definitely the latter. Your body felt on fire. It was too hot in this sweatshirt but you didn’t want to take it off.
Her lips found yours. Her hand wrapping your legs around her. Where she lifted you up. The gym really did begin to pay off. “Then who am I to deny you?”
She walked you all the way to her bed. Gently setting you on the edge while she knelt at the end. Kissing in your thighs and over your waistband.
Her index fingers hooked between the band and your skin, she dreadfully slow pulled them down. Down your thighs. Down your calfs. Onto the floor.
The fabric was almost instantly replaced with her mouth. She wasn’t going to waste a single second.
“God, angel, you taste so good. And you’re so wet. All this for me?” She licked you up. Wanting ever drop you would give her.
The feeling brought you right to the edge. You’d been longing for so long. “Melly…”
“You’re so sensitive baby, go ahead.” She granted. Feeling how you hand held her close while you rode out your high. She smiled once you let up.
You were panting for her. Shaking already. “What do you want from me angel? What can-,” you pulled her close. Hugging onto her while your hips grinded against her still.
Your lips ghosted over her ear. Your warm breath sending shivers over her. “Want mommy to ruin me.” You hummed.
She never thought you would say that name in this situation. She truly thought you two were joking about the name.
When she looked into your eyes, hers turned to a forest green almost. She had to give you everything. Had to keep you.
“Get comfortable then my princess. Mommy’s gonna make sure you can’t remember anything but the feelings.” She pushed you up further on the bed.
Her jeans brushed over your naked half. Making you realize how much clothing she had on compared to you.
“Melly…” You called for her attention. Immediately getting her eyes on you, making you smile. “Your clothes.”
You pulled at her shirt. Desperate to see her supple skin. “Why don’t you do the honors then?”
No second was given before you were sitting up. Hands at the hem of her shirt. Fingers dancing under as you pushed it up. Revealing the sight you desired. Your eyes snapped up to hers. Not wanting to be disrespectful (even though she had just eaten you out).
“You’re beautiful…” You kissed her. All of the heat and need you felt was gone. This was raw emotions.
This was you.
And Melissa knew that. Its what made her falter from her spot.
How could someone as young as you think that about her? You had so many options and here you were.
She knew she had fallen in love. But she would wait to tell you that.
“Let me make you feel good,” you climbed on top of her lap. Kissing from her lips, to her jaw, and down her neck. Leaving only one bruise on her pulse point.
Her moans and airy gasp fueled you to keep going. She needed this just as much as you did.
Your hands pushed her back. Now she laid and gave you better access to her collar bone. Were you left more hickeys. She would be in sweatshirts for at least a week.
“Baby…” her breathy voice was almost begging.
You lifted up, looking in her eyes. “What do you need mommy?” You smiled that charming smile.
She bucked her hips up at the name, listening to you laugh. “I need you my pretty girl. Touch me in ways you’ve dreamt ok? Can you be my good girl and do that?”
You couldn’t lie, as much as you wanted her to take you, this was better. This was something you didn’t know you wanted.
Your left hand caressed her boob, making her arch into your touch. Giving you the chance to unclasp the bra. Freeing her chest from the restraints.
You pulled it off and connected your mouth to her right boob. Your hand playing with the other. You couldn’t help put graze your teeth over her sensitive bud.
You switched shortly after. Her moans spurring you on in ways you never knew. “Just like that baby. Such a good girl for mommy,” she moaned. Her words pulling a moan from you as well.
You began to drop your kisses lower. Taking time to acknowledge her body. Hands running around, trying to memorize everything.
You kissed along the waistband of her jeans. Your eyes looking up to hers, finding them already looking at you.
You shifted to slot a thigh between hers. Pressing it against her core hard. Watching her arch into it.
She knew you had done this before, but she never expected you to be so good at knowing where to hit.
“Your jeans mommy,” you left sensual kisses behind her ear. “They’re restricting.”
She didn’t answer, no, instead she fumbled with the buttons and zipper. Letting you assist her in getting them off and on the floor. You had her completely at you mercy. This was becoming better and better.
You met her cute pink panties. Smirking at the little bow it had. “Mommy, you’re soaked.” You eyes shined in the dim lighting. “Can I?”
Her hips bucked, “Of course princess, but hurry!”
And hurry you did. You dived right in. Your tongue working wonders on her bundle of nerves. You worked her up quickly with just one muscle. Dipping down to her hole and feeling it clenching around nothing. You teased her like you knew would have you pinned.
“Just like that baby! Mommy’s so close!” Melissa panted. Her hips snapping to meet your movement. “Right there! Fuck! Don’t stop!”
But you did. You did stop. You pulled away and waited for her response. Her head rolled to look at you. Her mouth opening to yell, scream, all because you denied her. Yet it fell open when you slammed three fingers in easily. You felt her walls flutter around you. Smirking at how you had her.
You had the Melissa Schemmenti coming undone on your fingers.
You kissed at her neck. Guiding her through the high and trying to ignore the ache you felt once again.
She sat up and pulled you into a kiss. “Mommy’s good girl.” She whispered. Listening to the whimper that left you. She hummed at the noise. “Is someone all needy again?”
You nodded with a sad face. Grabbing her hand and guiding it to where you wanted it. Gasping once she didn’t even hesitate to slipping three fingers into you. You shuddered and held onto her shoulders.
“Go on, since you wanna be the top so bad. Ride mommy’s fingers. Fuck yourself until you forget about all the woman in the past. The ones that will never fuck you like how I will.” She said against your ear. Feeling you start to bounce in her hands.
“Just like that baby. Look at you!”
“I bet you wont ever whore yourself out to anyone again.”
“You’re so perfect.”
“Mommy’s pretty girl.”
Her words hit you hard. They did things to your mind that connected to your core. “Mommy…I’m-,”
“I know you are angel. Go ahead. Mommy wants to feel you cum.” You started to become sloppy. Shaking when she curled her fingers to hit you right. Making you fall apart in her arms. Gripping onto her shoulders for some form of grounding.
You hide your burning cheeks in her neck. Giving almost non exsisting kisses to her skin.
And after a moment, she slowly pulled out her fingers. Hushing the nosies that left you. “I know, I know baby. But mommy’s not done with you yet.”
Your eyes grew at those words. What else had she planned on.
Carefully, Melissa laid you down and moved to her drawers. “Don’t move or you’ll ruin the surpirse baby.” You couldn’t see her. But you weren’t alone for long. She had you above her again. Hovering over her lap. “How are you feeling y/n?”
She could see the lost mindset you were in. Was she going to far with this? Your eyes were trained between you both.
“It’s big…” you could only swallow. “Will it hurt?”
“Only for a minute baby. We can take it slow, ok? Or we can stop here.” She gave you options.
You were silent. “What if…I don’t want to go slow? What if…I want it to be quick and painful?” You looked at her. She was clearly shocked. “Or! we can, I mean we don’t!”
You got cut of by the loudest moan of your life. She bottomed out in you in one quick movement. You felt the burn. The stretch.
She wasn’t one to let you go shy on her now. Melissa wanted to watch you loose your senses. It’s how you ended on your back as she pounded into you.
The red head showed absolutely no mercy for you. She wanted to overstimulate you.
Her thumb was added to your clit. She was moving fast. Faster than you would’ve ever thought possible. But god did it feel amazing.
Melissa seemed to know your body more than you. She brought you through several orgasms in such a quick manner. Making you loose all verbal responses and just noises.
You didn’t know bow many you were on but you felt wiped. Too sensitive. You quickly came, and as she fucked you through it, you could tell she was gonna push you for another. But you thought couldn’t take another.
You tapped on her hand, hopinf she would let up, but she didn’t. She just laughed. “One more baby. You’re doing so good for me. Such a sweet girl. Letting mommy fuck you like this. You can give me on more right? After that we’ll get you all cleaned up. Be a good girl for me and cum, princess.” She talked you through it. Staring intently as you shook under her. “That’s it pretty girl. You’re ok. Mommy’s here.”
She took the chance while you were blissed out to pull out and discard of the fake appendage. Scooping you into her arms and holding you tightly as you cried in her arms.
They were happy tears. “I know, I’m sorry baby. You did so well. So incredibly well. I can’t even believe the feelings you feel right now. You’re mommy’s good girl. Her sweet girl. Her princess. Imma move is to the bathroom ok? We’ll take a nice warm bubble bath.”
~~~~~~~
That morning you woke up in someone else’s bed. You rolled to look at the side clock. It was well into the day now. You missed work, andnit would’ve made you worried if there wasn’t a certain woman walking in with a bag of food.
“Good morning sunshine,” She was quiet. Last night rushed back to you in a flash. “How do you feel?”
You sat up and could only smile with sleep. “Did you call Ava?” Was your first question.
“She was the one who had the subs covered the moment we left yesterday. I brought you your favorite.” She held up the bag.
You furrowed your brows. “But that’s all the way across thw city?”
“I know, but my special girl deserved it.” She sat down with you and started placing the food on the covers.
“Wait! The sheets are covered in…” You were worried. You weren’t one to let good food be touched like that.
“I changed them last night. You fell asleep in the tub and I took it as a chance. I promise they’re all clean.” She winked at you.
You looked at her with a blank stare. She was about to ask you ‘what’ but you brought her close and kissed her with care.
“Thank you Melly,” you whispered out.
She hummed. “Of course angel, you’re at home, you might as well be treated like a queen.”
“You did it again.”
“What?”
“Home?”
“Yeah?”
“You keep saying this is my home?”
“Cause it is?”
“No, this is yours?”
“Y/n, have you not gotten it yet?”
“Gotten what?”
“I’ll explain it simply for you ok? I, a older woman whose been through divorce, know what I want. Now you, a younger woman who still has so much to learn, have not been through divorce. But, I, the older woman, am going to keep you for as long as you let me. You’re my good girl, and no matter what, you always will have this place to be home.”
Tears pricked you eyes. Nobody has ever done such a thing for you. Even if she was right, you didn’t know what you wanted. But you wanted her. You wanted a future with her.
You kissed her hard with emotion. Soon hugging her and burrying your head into her neck. “Thank you Melly.”
“Of course, angel. Now eat before your food gets cold.” She detangled you from her.
Both if you smiled at each other. You knew you were in love with this woman, it’s just a matter of time.
I'm Getting Used to You. (Kaz Brekker x gn!reader)
Summary: “You should shut your mouth, Brekker, before you say something you regret. If you drive me out of here, you’ll only be back on my doorstep in five months time. You need me more than you want me so suck it up. You’re becoming a liability, not me,” Venom. You had enough, laying it out to him.  Kaz’s form stood in front of the table, an unreadable expression on his face. OR kaz and the reader have a hard conversation and you're pretty tired of his shit. PART TWO OF I WAS USING YOU. WC: 3.1k GENRE: angst, minor action, sprinklings of fluff, ooc kaz? tw: violence, blood, the usual warning for SOC. a/n: i left it open for a possible part 3. i intended for more angst but cheri cheri lady by modern talking was on replay.
Tumblr media
You continued on your path through the streets of Ketterdam, baked goods tucked under your arm and a light skip in your step. The sun was starting to kiss the seas goodnight, laying to rest beneath her depths and the cool breath of night air was starting to introduce itself to leaning rooftops. Your shoulder had been healing nicely, still bandaged and sore at the joint, still bruised. It would scar and be a permanent reminder for yourself. Don’t fall in love with criminals. To everyone’s surprise, you and Kaz had fallen back into your usual routines with not a mention or hint of prior feelings being discussed. Business as usual.
Your shoulder had healed and your heart had frozen over and you had to learn to like it that way. You couldn’t let yourself be the kind of person to force somebody else to face your feelings for you, to pull you through your trauma instead of you learning to swim through it. You hadn’t been on a job in just over a month, Kaz’s orders. He said he hadn’t wanted to risk any liabilities in his plans and didn’t like to work around the possibility of one either. And you were glad for it. Getting shot was turning out to be one of the best things to ever happen to you.
As you approached the Crow Club, you momentarily considered just how lucky you were to have the people in your life that you did. You pushed the door open and immediately shuddered, welcoming the slightly warmer air and clicking the door behind you shut.
“Are you cold?” That voice that used to haunt your dreams and comfort your evenings called out from behind the bar, Kaz Brekker emerging with a ledger in one hand and a pen in the other. It seemed he had been taking stock, doing his usual numbers and checks. Perhaps the new liquor had been selling nicely or maybe he wanted to double check before they opened for the night.
“It’s Ketterdam. It’s always cold,” You smoothly replied, stepping further into the building and aiming for the door off to the side. You had fresh baked goods to store away, jams and creams to preserve or else they would spoil much too soon. You had workers to feed, after all, and street urchins who sometimes stopped by for some warmth and a snack before looking for a place to sleep for the night.
“Jes has gone to the Slat,” Kaz said uselessly, closer than you anticipated. You hadn’t even heard him follow you.
You glanced over your shoulder, wincing a little with the strain and met his curious gaze, those stoney irises watching you with careful consideration. That’s how the two of you were. No more breaths wasted on confessions or anguish. You didn’t even argue, not since you were shot. Instead he watched you like a crow scouting its next meal, lingering a little too long and offering you his presence. You liked it better than arguing, truly. That was draining and the last thing you needed was to be emotionally drained and injured.
You hummed in response to him, nodding once. You knew that already, Jesper had told you where he was spending his evening.
“Coffee?” You offered gently, holding up two cups.
“I have work to do.”
You didn’t fight him, nor did you react. Not like you used to. Before, you would have told him ‘work can wait for Dirtyhands to have a cup of tea’ or ‘indulge me, Mr Brekker, I know you want to’. Your routine with him was the same but the soft little moments you had together had been the price.
You ignored Kaz’s fidgeting, his lack of cane. You ignored the way he checked his timepiece, rocked on his feet and approached. You hummed to yourself as Kaz began to assist you, placing jams on shelves and creams aside - they would spoil by tomorrow, but it was treat enough. You only acknowledged it when you offered him a thankful smile, a nod and began to pour yourself your drink. You could only stare at his gloved hands as they delicately held onto the rim of a cup and settled it next to yours, his fingers lingering on it. Your head turned from the cup to Kaz, his eyes already locked onto you.
Kaz Brekker truly was a beautiful individual. High cheekbones and fresh scars, his bottom lip split from whatever fight he had recently been in. You had no doubt his knuckles beneath his gloves were scarred. He stood dressed in all black, the warm light of burning candles reflecting warmth in his conflicted irises - the way his throat bobbed and mouth twitched when he considered saying something, the tension rigid in his shoulders with the stiffness in his arm whilst holding the cup. He was an enigma and one you were deeply fond of, even if you didn’t wish to pursue anything with him further. It hurt too much.
With only you and Kaz Brekker standing in that building, you didn’t utter a word as you poured the hot liquid into his cup. You wouldn’t dare tell a soul that the Bastard of the Barrel changed his mind on something.
“Nina is also at the Slat,” Kaz spoke up, clearing his throat and stepping an inch back from you, startled by the lack of distance between the two of you - you wanted to roll your eyes.
“I know,” You replied curtly, sliding over his cup and bidding yourself exit from the makeshift kitchen.
“Then why are you here?” Kaz asked, a few uneven steps behind you but trailing you nonetheless. Kaz Brekker didn’t follow anyone.
“I work here,” You stated the obvious, sinking into a corner table beside the bar.
That seemed to be enough. Kaz stopped trailing you.
“You should quit,” He said from across the room, coffee in hand, his nose buried into his numbers and papers even though you both knew damn well he had it all memorised three times over.
You laughed, bitter and lacking all amusement. You slammed a hand down on the table, irritation bubbling deep in your skin. You never snapped. You were accepting, patient. All the things somebody like him needed when he was acting without thinking, sabotaging himself and you. This time, you weren’t putting up with it.
“You should shut your mouth, Brekker, before you say something you regret. If you drive me out of here, you’ll only be back on my doorstep in five months time. You need me more than you want me so suck it up. You’re becoming a liability, not me,” You had enough, laying it out to him. You were echoing Nina’s words back at him. Kaz had to realise what he was doing. He couldn’t not see it, right?
Kaz’s form stood in front of the table, an unreadable expression on his face. He pulled out a chair, sat down opposite you and carded his gloved fingers through his hair, disheveling his appearance further. He didn’t speak for a moment, analysing you. This is what he did, he studied and looked for weakness, one he could use against you later and force your hand when he deemed it convenient. Unfortunately for him, your only weakness happened to be him.
“I want you out of here by the time we open. You’re done with the Dregs,” Kaz decided, a small nod of his head and bitter curl of his lips.
His eyes didn’t meet yours, staring down at his twitching fingers atop the stained table. You stared at him incredulously. You laughed at him. Kaz Brekker, Bastard of the Barrel, was so afraid of his own feelings that he was really willing to fire you. You shook your head, an amused smile on your face and a snort escaping, pointing at him with a waggle of your finger as if to say ‘good one’.
“And who will be there to cover Jesper when he inevitably wanders away from the door? Who will cover Wylan on jobs when he has to focus on his other businesses? Who will watch your back when you need a scout? Certainly not Inej, she’s got her own life. Nina? Not likely. You need me, Brekker. You don’t have to want me, you can fight that all you want. You’re making rash decisions based on fear, on weakness, and it’s making you a hypocrite. It’s not easy for me either so just deal with it or go away,” You explained. You knew you were being condescending but it felt so good to be the only person who could talk down to Dirtyhands.
“I don’t want you gone because of feelings for you.” Kaz said, his gaze unwavering and irritation clear in the twitch of his eye, the lazy raise of his eyebrow and the subtle, dangerous smirk wanting to pull up one side of his face, “I want you gone because I don’t want you to be hurt again.”
You couldn’t stop your own guard from slipping, your expression falling the more you stared at him. He hadn’t been firing you, he was worried about you. You licked your lips, nodded once and then shuffled in your chair. You pulled it around the table, placed it next to Kaz’s and sat yourself beside him. Where you were always supposed to be. Without touching him, you leaned into his space, close enough that when he turned his head to face you, there were only mere inches between the two of you.
“We’re both very dark people, Kaz. Despite that, you’re still my light. I understand that you’re worried, that you don’t know how to process your feelings when you’re overwhelmed but that’s okay. We don’t always have to fight. We can just be,” You said with a small, tender smile on your mouth. All of your anger began to dissipate and the tension in Kaz’s shoulder began to cease, his hands unclenching and something akin to a smile graced his pale eyes, vulnerability staring straight back at you.
“We could have this,” Kaz mumbled, his head dipped and momentarily, his forehead knocked gently against yours. It was barely a touch, enough for him to exhale shakily, his throat bobbing and he was all yours in that single moment.
“That’s right, Kaz. We could have this,” You nodded and his head was turning from you, “You just have to want it enough. You’re a man who sees value, what value is this to you?”
Kaz steeled himself, leaning back in his chair and then he was looking at you again. Conflicted. He breathed out, rolled his tongue into his cheek and accepted his fate. His arm moved from in front of him to instead drape over the back of your chair, pulling the wood closer to himself and his eyes met yours once again, his bruised face illuminated in a stunning, golden glow. The dark cloud in front of you stepped aside, revealing the sunshine that he kept hidden deep beneath his rugged surface.
“I would burn kruge to keep you warm,” Kaz chose to say.
It was a silly response, one that had you laughing into your hand, your head cast aside. He was staring again, something soft painting his renaissance features a gentle version of his previous self. There was a tilt in his head, a subtle smile on the left corner of his lips that met his eyes, steady and confident as he always was. Your fingers hugged the surface of your cup and you clinked it against his.
“That would be a lot of kruge and besides… I don’t feel so cold anymore,” You said to him, watching relief practically emanate from every pore and every little motion that belonged to Kaz Brekker.
____________________________________________________________
You ducked and weaved, jumping back and arching yourself in a way to avoid swing after swing. You kissed your brass knuckles, pulled back your arm and lunged, cracking your fist down on an already bloody cheekbone. The man fell onto the floor and you groaned, rolling a kink out of your shoulder. Your weight shifted to your heel, realigning your centre of balance and you were kicking a leg out as you turned, the nails sticking out of the bottom of your boots sticking into a chest as you sent the second assailant into the alleyway wall. You wiped your forehead, smudging blood away. You had to run. If they pulled guns, that was it for you.
Turning on your heel, you darted towards the exit of the alleyway but instead of going through the exit, you hopped up and gripped onto the edge of a tall, damp wall. One foot at a time, you climbed and swung your body over the top. You dropped into a roll to carry the momentum and began to sprint. You weaved through carts and traders, slipping past Komedie Brute disguises. It had been foolish to wander so far, you knew it, but you just needed a nice stroll in the night and the weather had been somewhat clear for Ketterdam.
There was no other explanation. Someone from the gang must have let slip the precarious nature of your relationship with Kaz Brekker. You hadn’t put a label on it but it was obvious how you felt about one another. One of their many fools must have let it slip on a gambling table or in a rival club’s bar. You had been followed and targeted. Of course you would be, anyone would love the chance to get at the one man who had single handedly dominated the game to the point where it barely seemed like a war and more like a massacre. The possibility of turncoat or traitor was dangerous, accidental or not. It had to be dealt with.
You continued to run, scaling fences and low walls and arches, your stamina draining only slowly. You kept running even on the algae slick cobbled paths, throwing yourself down alleyways. Luckily, they weren’t able to keep you. You threw yourself up the stairs to the Crow Club, bursting through the door and staggering through patron and client. You kept pushing until you were throwing open the door to Kaz’s office, slamming it behind you. He looked at you with annoyance at first but it quickly turned to confusion, then anger.
“What happened to you?” Kaz asked, his tone dry. He gestured a hand for you to sit and you did, throwing yourself into the seat opposite him. His hair was slicked back away from his strong bone structure and he looked bored, itching to go do anything else even if he loved puzzles and numbers.
“Felt like going for a little walk and got jumped. Seems one of our donnies may have said something he shouldn’t have,” You said, accepting the handkerchief Kaz extended to you between two fingers. You wiped blood away, hissing. He then opened his drawer, pulling out a flask of what could only be his usual brandy and he tossed it to you. You opened it, poured it on the cloth and began to wipe at your cuts and bruises, sterilising them.
“There’s always a risk in being associated with me,” He said but it was evident that he was unsettled. He rose from his seat, left his paperwork open and circled the desk.
The young man sat against it, his tall height towering over you and gingerly, he took the handkerchief from your clumsy hands. He’d always been dexterous, careful and exact with his skilled hands, much more elegant than you would ever be. Kaz took your chin in between his finger and thumb, tilted your head up to look at him. Bow shaped, unfairly pink lips pressed into a firm line and gentle touches brushed your fresh cuts, wiping away fresh blood. Carefully, he turned your head to the side and tutted, dabbing your temple. If it affected him, he was doing well not to show it other than heavier breathing. He didn’t stop until he was satisfied, his hands dropping to settle in front of him and he stared at you.
“No murderous intent?” You asked quietly, leaned forward. You wouldn’t push into his space. He always had to come to you first, you didn’t want to overwhelm him.
Kaz’s lips broke into a malicious grin, his teeth on show and something dangerous stared back at you in his blue hydrangea eyes, a flood beginning to rise and a cyclone daring to push onto land. “Oh darling, I am furious. Patience is a skill I have mastered and nurtured. I’m going to gut every single Dreg until my floors are stained the perfect shade of red. I’ve been meaning to redecorate.”
“Who knew you were such a romantic,” You laughed, your heart stuttering your chest.
Blood was currency in Ketterdam, worth so much more than kruge and everybody and anybody knew if there was one thing Kaz craved more than kruge, it was blood. His gloved fingers brushed hair away from your face, tucking it behind your ear and he was everything in that moment. He was violent and he was malicious. He was loving and he was affectionate. More importantly, you were truly starting to believe that he was yours. He tutted, tsked and sighed, pushing away from the desk and reached for his cane where it had been propped against his desk.
“Will you be alright?” He asked, the thunderous rage crackling through his towering figure adorned in black and gold and you had never felt more loved in your entire life. Kaz was making sure you were okay before he got his own revenge. How sweet. You smiled, your cheeks flushed pink.
“Even if I wasn’t, I know you’d make sure I would be,” You teased, standing behind him and he glanced at you from over his shoulder, his brows raised.
“Whatever helps you sleep at night,” He rolled his eyes, turning around to face you and leaning his weight into his cane.
“Is that an offer?”
“I’ll cut out your tongue if you keep talking, love,” Kaz stepped past you, reaching for the handle of the door and then he paused, looked at you and pointed his finger as he said, “Stay here. If I see you anywhere but this office, I’ll break your legs too.”
“If you want me on my knees, just ask,” You continued, flipping through the pages on his desk.
“You’re irritating.”
“You adore me,” You were still distracting him from completing his mission but you were thoroughly enjoying the hold you had over him. Kaz shook his head, annoyed.
“I do.”
That was the last thing he said before the door was slamming behind him.
You hadn’t expected him to agree.
You climb the last flight of steps up to the fourth floor of your apartment building, stomping each stair into submission as you go. You’re still fuming from the blind date you just escaped. That is the absolute last time you ever let Erin set you up with one of her stock broker bro coworkers. You don’t care how hot or rich they are; you are done. Done, done, stick a fork in you. You love your bestie but by God does the woman have terrible taste in men or what.
Both of the pricks she handpicked for you were narcissistic know-it-alls with egos the size of Texas; a pair of swine in designer suits (who, to Erin’s credit, were smoking hot but that’s beside the point.) Once the pig from tonight decided that you weren’t trophy wife material he became far more interested in his phone than he was in you. And the last pig coddled you like you were a delicate, empty-headed damsel in distress who was lucky to be granted the honor of his company and conversation. You should’ve learned your lesson after that first failed date with Dalton Rockefeller-Vanderbilt (or whatever old money asshole last name he had) but you’ve been feeling lonely lately, especially after Ash introduced you to the fab guy she’s dating (an accountant with a perfectly plebeian name of Abe).
You glare down the hallway as you ascend enough to peek over the top of the stairs. Oh great, you think sourly, pursing your lips, your face hardening into a study in once I step inside that door I’m downing a shot of whiskey before turning up an overflowing glass of wine. You stare molten daggers at the tall, brawny guy in your sights. It’s the hot asshole who lives beside you; the last person you want to see tonight. He’s standing, hunched as ever, in front of his door, key poised for the deadbolt, wearing that same teal baseball cap and red hoodie that he never seems to take off. Your jaw tightens. You’ve tried to be nice to the brute—flashing him a smile, saying hello—but all you’ve ever gotten in return was a scowl, if he deigned to acknowledge you at all. Well, you’re fresh out of smiles tonight, jerk.
A flutter of unease tickles your tummy as you step onto the landing, into the narrow hallway with him, your back turned to the only exit, a six foot tall sus man between you and your apartment. You stand up straighter, squaring your shoulders, trying to make yourself look and feel taller. It’s late, and your building is eerily quiet while the city is abuzz with incessant sirens. The usual ensemble of notorious nutjobs are fighting yet another battle in their never-ending war with their rival nutjob who dresses up like a Bat.
Nutjobs like this guy…
You reach into your handbag and grab your keys in your fist, sliding the sharp ends between your fingers, ready to stab at some eyeballs. (You regrettably didn’t have room for your taser or mace in this bag so you have to improvise.) It’s your own fault that you suspect the guy’s a sociopath lying in wait to jump you. You made up a serial killer backstory for him—the result of one too many true crime podcast binges—despite not even knowing the guy’s name. You can’t help it. He gives off serious Ted Bundy vibes. Well, maybe that’s unfair to Ted. Ted would’ve at least smiled at you before bludgeoning you with a crowbar. This guy though…
This guy doesn’t have a scowl for you tonight. Actually, he seems startled by your sudden appearance in the hallway, dropping his keyring to the floor with a clatter that shatters the uneasy silence, causing you to jump. He ducks his red-hooded head between his hunched shoulders as you pass by, warily eying him, ready to stab those icy blue eyeballs of his if he tries anything.
You arrive at your door and take out your keyring, sighing with likely unnecessary relief as you slide the key into the lock. The guy’s probably a harmless weirdo incel who never learned how to talk to a woman. You steal one last peek over your shoulder at him, and watch as he stabs at his deadbolt with his key, hitting everywhere but the keyhole because, you realize with surprise, his hand is shaking too much to hit the target. This dude’s a disaster, you say to yourself as you turn the key in your own deadbolt. Then, as he misses the keyhole yet again, you hear yourself ask, “Do you need help?” in an annoyed tone. You didn’t mean to sound so bitchy but whatever. He shouldn’t be such a bitch to you.
He seems to jump at the sound of your voice, and his keyring clatters to the scuffed wood floor again. You stare back at him incredulously. Is he wasted or something? You wonder as that unsettling feeling creeps back in, prickling the hairs on the back of your neck. Your grip tightens around your doorknob as your pulse picks up speed.
“I’m fine,” he mumbles in response without sparing a glance in your direction.
“You don’t look fine,” you grumble back at him, the flames of irritation rekindled by his rudeness. Why should you care if the jerk’s too drunk or stoned to get in his apartment. Let his rude ass sleep on his doorstep. You shove open your door and take a stomped step across the threshold—you really need that glass of wine. Out of the corner of your eye you see him bend down to pick up his keys, then hear him groan like he’s in pain. You poke your head back around the doorframe, curious, and notice he’s doubled over now, clutching at his heaving chest, breathing hard and fast like he just ran a 5k or—your heart leaps inside your own chest—like he’s having a fucking heart attack. You watch, mouth agape, brows furrowed, as he sinks to his knees, a handful of red fabric still clenched in his trembling fist, then falls forward onto his free hand while he struggles to get control of his labored breathing. Crumpled on the floor like this, fighting for a breath, makes him seem so small, vulnerable, and not the least bit threatening; more like a boy who needs your help and less like an NFL quarterback who murders women on the side for fun.
Just go into your apartment, pour that extra large glass of merlot you’ve been fantasizing about since John Preston Anderson III introduced himself with his full name. Curl up on the sofa with In Cold Blood or a horde of shirtless, oiled, bronzed, and heartily-muscled Dothraki in your Game of Thrones rewatch. Who cares if the hot asshole serial killer next door has a heart attack? But you care apparently because you rush over to him instead, ignoring The Stranger Beside Me audiobook narrator inside your head warning you that this is a textbook Ted Bundy ploy, you idiot. You bend to help him, to lay a comforting hand on his shoulder, and when your fingertips brush against him his entire body jerks away from you, like you zapped him with your taser. He throws up an arm to warn you off. “Don’t,” he snaps breathlessly before gulping down a lungful of air, then rasps: “Please don’t touch me.”
You bristle at his harsh rebuff but keep your temper in check since the guy’s clearly in crisis mode. “Should I call an ambulance? You look like you’re having a heart attack.”
“It’s… it’s not a heart attack… it just… feels like one.” He bites off each word, every breath precious. The fingers of his free hand dig into the hardwood floor.
“At least let me unlock your door for you,” you suggest shortly, biting your tongue before you can add: since you weren’t able to manage that yourself, then feeling guilty for even thinking that. What had the poor guy done to you tonight except happen to be standing in your shared hallway after some other asshole pissed you off?
He gives you a small, grudging nod so you retrieve his fallen keyring, wondering why a man needs so many damn keys. “The bronze one,” he grunts, as if he read your mind.
You unlock his door with the bronze key then push the door open while he drags himself to his feet behind you, huffing and groaning. The dimly lit apartment that greets you is sterile, spartan; that doesn’t help the serial killer vibes at all. One of the furnished units, you presume, since the furniture looks like it was plucked from the lobby of your building. The walls are white and bare; no art or posters or photos of him scowling beside a lover. And the place is spotless—you’d assume it was vacant if you didn’t know otherwise. A vision suddenly fills your mind, a vision of him on his knees, bright yellow dishwashing gloves pulled halfway up his muscular arms, an uncapped bottle of industrial bleach at his side as he scrubs at a puddle of blood while the lifeless corpse of the last girl who wandered in here lies wrapped up in blood-stained plastic behind him. Oh God, you even smell the bleach. But then you notice the stacks of paperback books here and there, the open sketch pad on the sofa with pencil-scribbled notes and drawings, some charging AirPods beside an iPad, another red hoodie—one that zips up the front—hanging from the back of a dining room chair, a gym bag, and atop the kitchen island, a rather happy-looking houseplant which, you have to admit, is kinda cute.
Before you can take in the rest of his place he staggers past you, bumping into your shoulder with a bruising force that knocks you sideways and nearly off your feet. Then with one last little wheeze, he topples over like an uprooted oak tree in a windstorm, smacking face first into the hardwood with a meaty thud that rattles the floor beneath you.
“Oh my God!” You squeal, covering your mouth with both hands.
A shot of adrenaline pumps through your veins, spurring you into action. You snatch your phone from your bag with rubber fingers, nearly flinging it aside in your panic, and frantically dial 9-1-1, forgetting all about the emergency shortcuts created for just such an occasion. Your stomach dips at the sight of the bulky body lying prone at your feet, still and silent as the grave. As the phone rings—the long-familiar trilling sound now seemingly drawn out as if it will stretch into eternity—you kneel beside him to check his pulse and see if he’s still breathing, praying he isn’t a corpse, when you spot something that knocks the breath from your lungs and stops your heart dead in its tracks. With a cold, trembling hand you push up the tail of his hoodie…
“9-1-1, what’s your emergency?” The operator asks by rote, voice booming through your phone’s speaker, but you barely hear it over the alarm bells clanging inside your head. You’re gaping at the gun tucked into the waistband of his pants, unable to form any sort of response around your heart lodged in your throat.
“Hello?” the operator asks irritably.
“Hi, uh,” you start with a squeak, eyes still fixed on the textured grip of that deadly weapon, but then smack your lips shut. What are the cops gonna think when they see that gun? And what if he’s wanted for a crime or something and you get him arrested? He said it wasn’t a heart attack, acted like this had happened to him before. You can always call back if he’s actually dead or dying…
Why the hell does it matter if he gets arrested?? Your brain shouts back at you. Why are you even here in the first place when there’s an unopened bottle of merlot waiting for you in the safety of your apartment only a few footsteps away, where there’s not an unresponsive armed man who’s built like a tank, who doesn’t even need the gun when he could snap your tiny neck with those massive hands of his? Could the universe give you any clearer signals that “you in danger, girl”? Have you learned absolutely nothing from hours upon hours of Karen and Georgia? “Stay sexy and don’t get murdered”—this guy isn’t even nice to you! Don’t you dare hang up that phone…
“Um, I’m so sorry. I thought my neighbor was having a heart attack but-but he’s fine actually. False alarm. Sorry to bother you!” Your words tumble out in a rush then you smash the “End Call” button before you can get questioned further or chewed out for wasting their time. In the back of your mind you hear the recording of this 9-1-1 call replaying on the My Favorite Murder episode starring you, before the hostess pair warns their listeners not to make the same foolish mistake you just made.
You sit back on your heels, clammy hands kneading your knees while that chunk of baleful metal glares back at you from his waistband, like a coiled rattlesnake peeking out from beneath a rock. Your mind is racing as fast as your heart through scenarios that all end with you getting shot. Then your hands are moving with minds of their own, fingers curling around the textured grip, getting your dainty fingerprints all over the murder weapon as you slip it free. It’s heavier than you expected, you note as you grip it tighter, careful not to get your finger anywhere near that trigger. Heavy, but not heavy enough for something that can end a life in an instant. The thought makes you shudder. You place the gun on the floor then give it a shove, eager to be rid of it, praying that the damn thing won’t go off automatically as it slides across the hardwood floor out of reach. You’ve never touched a gun before this moment and have zero interest in shooting yourself in the face.
Now your attention shifts back to the poor guy who's still out cold. You lay your hand on his back and feel its steady rise and fall. Still breathing, thank God. Then with a grunt of effort and a mighty heave you manage to flip him over on his back. Immediately your hand shoots back to cover your mouth and you suck in a horrified breath as his pale face, previously hidden beneath the shadow of his hat and hood, becomes visible in the lamplight.
You were expecting the weals on his chin and forehead, the blood trickling from the corner of his mouth, his bottom lip swelling from where it busted when he fell flat on his face. What you weren’t expecting to find was dried blood smeared across his cheek up to his ear, or the J-shaped scar beneath his eye that you’d noticed before (it’s unfortunately hard to miss, despite his best efforts to hide it) weeping beads of fresh blood from where someone traced over it with a knife you assume, carving deep into his skin. But it wasn’t the sight of the blood or the crimson J that pulled the gasp from your throat and made your stomach nosedive like you were on a rollercoaster. Nope, that was your reaction to the angry red furrows encircling his throat around his Adam's apple, deep indentations where someone wrapped rope or wire or cable around his neck so tight that it embedded in his skin; ligature marks from where someone fucking strangled him.
You grab your phone then pause, biting at your lip. Maybe you should call 9-1-1 again. What if his windpipe is crushed? What if that’s why he was breathing so hard, why he fainted? Those marks are so deep… he could be seriously injured. But if he was seriously injured, why had he returned to his apartment instead of going to the ER? It seems like he made the choice for you.
You open your phone’s browser and type: how to treat strangulation injuries, then quickly skim over the top result. Ice. That seems simple enough, you tell yourself, noting that you can clean his J cuts with soap and water, at least until he wakes up. And if he doesn’t wake up soon? Well, then you’ll call the cops. After all, he’s probably a law abiding citizen who’s licensed to carry that gun; a guy that you just pinned as another one of the nutjobs because you always get paranoid about every stranger you see after your true crime binges. In your defense, this is Gotham-fucking-City and you’re a young single lady who lives alone. You’d be a fool not to be paranoid.
“Sweetie, you already had your night shift turn. Are you sure you want to do it again?” Your father questioned you.
You gave him a bright smile, trying your best to act the part. “Of course it’s fine. Really. I want to spend the time alone. I’ll be fine.”
Your father squinted his eyes, moving to say something else but your mother stopped him. “I have to go make dinner soon, dear. I’m sure (Y/N) will be just fine.” She gave you a teasing smile over your dad’s shoulders. “Besides there are two nice police officers staying on the first floor should there be trouble.”
You grimace but immediately grinned when both of your parents looked at you. While your mother seemed to be thinking something else, her words eased your father. “Alright. Be careful. We will see you in the morning.”
You gave them both hugs goodbye, waving at them from the door. When they made it out the back and began their trek to your family home, you turned back around and began your night chores.
You noticed you tried to finish them quickly, wanting to reach a specific room quicker than normal. You were thankful for the patrons not wanting many things which allowed you freetime to get to where you wanted.
When you had done what you needed to, you waited outside the door for a moment, trying to build up the courage to knock. You raised your hand before you chickened out and rapped your knuckles along the wood.
Jongho opened up the door, allowing you room to walk in. The other man was sitting in the chair you often occupied while speaking with Yeosang who seemed to be conscious.
“You’re awake.” You called to him. He gave you a breathtaking smile in return.
“Yes, thanks to the medicine.” He answered. “All I need now is to clean the rest of the wound. The pills left should be enough to aid the healing process for the next few days.”
You nodded your head quickly, moving to unwrap the man from the sheets that were stained red. “I’ll help you with that.”
“We’re going to go see the others.” The tall officer spoke to you two. “We’ll be back in a moment.”
“If you so much as do anything-”
“I don’t need wanted criminals to be on the hunt for me or my family.” You spoke up, not daring to look at the two. Yeosang had a grin on his face as he listened to your conversation. He just knew each of his friends who would have trouble befriending you.
Yunho looked to Yeosang, getting a nod in return. “Do be careful.”
Yeosang noticed your fingers pause just for a moment before resuming the chore of removing his makeshift gauze. With the man conscious, he was able to move just the tiniest of bits to make the whole thing easier for you.
You decided on washing his skin before addressing the wound. For now it was best to allow it to breathe some before closing it off once more. There was silence that both of you seemed to find no trouble in enjoying. However Yeosang took a few moments to take a look at you.
It didn’t seem to bother you much to look at him with the top half of his clothing. You didn’t so much as seem phased with seeing his torso. Most women he had come across seemed to shy away from the advances his comrades gave them, giggling and blushing red. However he figured maybe things weren’t the same when you thought you were going to die.
“They won’t kill you.” He expressed.
You stopped wiping the rag along his collarbone, trying to fight off the smile from your face at hearing his deep voice. You could hear the small lisps he had which you found to be adorable.
“I don’t think anyone would want to risk it.” You answered. “As I told your friend. We’re both walking on eggshells.”
Yeosang sighed, hands moving to the back of his head to give you space. “We’re not like that.”
There it was again, the way he spoke making it seem like everything he said was correct. At least in this case it might have been. He knew what to say to calm you down. He also wasn’t worried about giving away too much about his gang.
“I believe you.” You told him.
Yeosang took a moment to glance over your face, titling his head in thought. “Is that why you act the way you do? Because you know we won’t kill you?”
“Oh no. I wholeheartedly thought I would die at one point.” You shook your head. “You just have such sincerity in the way you speak that it calms me down.”
Yeosang pulled his lip into a thin line, his cheeks turning pink from the compliment.
“Does my attitude bother you?” You asked him, continuing the rag down his chest.
“I find it entertaining.”
You patted his chest, pursing your lips. There weren't many people who complimented you on the way you acted. Even your family would make jokes about the way you were. They didn’t shun you for it but you were still often the bunt of the jokes when it came to people talking about their children.
‘Oh yes. It’s (Y/N) we are worried about. She is way too independent for her own good. Who knows if a man would be willing to marry her.’
It didn’t hurt to have them think that way. It’s not like they ever stressed you to go out and find someone. They weren’t people who forced their kids out of the house. Maybe it was because they had hands available to work in the hotel but they never outright expressed their thoughts about you leaving the house.
“My family has always told me I was too independent. I guess I never grew out of it and it caused me to have a mouth.” You tried to joke. “Glad to know my personality tickles your funny bone.”
“I’ve been with the boys for a long while. Each has their own ways of talking to people. It’s enjoyable to watch them argue with someone else who they won’t beat to a pulp.” The man explained to you.
“Lucky me.” You rolled your eyes playfully. “I’m assuming you’re the one who avoids violence?”
“I’m part of a gang; it’s inevitable. I will say I enjoy the medicinal things a bit more.”
“I’ve been told.” You drop your rag into the water bowl, moving to get the medical supplies to clean his wound. “This might sting a little.”
Yeosang sucked in a deep breath when the cold solution of iodine touched his infected wound. It stung but nothing he couldn't handle. When you finished the disinfection, you moved onto the gauze.
“Bear with me.” You told him, moving his body. He was able to lift his hips just enough to where you could roll the bandage under his torso. You were glad he was looking better at that point. You had no clue if you were going to be able to move him yourself.
“Thank you.” Yeosang told you once you tightened the gauze.
“You’re welcome.” You smiled down at him.
“Yeosang.” He introduced himself. “My name is Yeosang.”
You felt your cheeks heat up with the look he gave you. It was warm, with a small smile playing on his lips. “Nice to meet you, Yeosang. I’m (Y/N).”
“Nice to see you’re still here, Sweetheart.” Wooyoung stuck his head through the windowsill, grinning at the two of you.
You sighed in annoyance, rolling your eyes. Turning around in the chair, you noticed all seven of the men climb back through the window, each taking up space in the room once more.
“I see you’re awake, Yeosang.” You moved out of the way, avoiding coming in contact with the blue haired man.
While Yeosang told you they wouldn’t hurt you, he seemed to be the most hostile compared to the rest. At least when it came to his members.
“All thanks to the girl, Captain.” Yeosang spoke up.
“I brought you some food.” The one who hadn’t spoken to you yesterday grew closer to the bed with a plate in hand. “Jongho brought us a good amount of herbs and spices. Tried a new recipe.”
“Can you sit up?” Hongjoong asked.
San and Wooyoung moved to either side of Yeosang, helping the man sit up a bit more in bed. You flinched and were about to reach out when you noticed the man’s pained expression. But it quickly was wiped from his face.
“Thanks, Hwa.” Yeosang told the man as he spooned some food into his mouth.
You watched as they all seemed to get comfortable, arguing over the order in which the shower was to be used. They all joked together and it brought a smile to your face to notice how close they actually were. There was a lot you were missing to their story, but watching them you wouldn’t think they were criminals.
“I’ll take my leave.” You spoke up when they all settled down after Mingi had walked into the bathroom. Just as you were going to turn, a voice spoke up from the middle of the room.
“Thank you.” Hongjoong called out.
“No problem.” You answered. With one last glance at all the men, you moved the door open. Before walking out though, you spoke over your shoulder. “I do hope you know I’m going to charge extra for the stained sheets.
“What!?”
