A Day that Should be Celebrated

Its time to celebrate Lucifer's birthday! I think the date is fitting tbh.

Premise: Its time to celebrate Lucifer's birthday!

Lucifer didn’t really enjoy his birthday. He thought it wasted time and took his attention away from work that needed to be done. So it was to no one’s surprise that he was scowling the whole time. Of course this idea was a collective one with you, the brothers, and Diavolo.

Diavolo did most of the work on distracting Lucifer to keep him out of the House of Lamentation. You and the seven brothers decorated the house in colors and things that Lucifer seemed to enjoy. You took on the baking with Beel and Belphie’s “help”.

Belphie was just sleeping on the counter and Beel was fighting you to eat the batter. Satan had to peel Beel off of you just so you could finish on time. Solomon, Luke, Barbatos, and Simeon came a bit later so as to not cause any suspicion.

Barbatos helped you try to finish most of the dishes while telling Solomon to go do other things that were very important for the party. Simeon joined the others to help set up table decorations and to help lay out the snacks. He had encouraged Luke to join him but Luke wanted to stay with you.

You were glad to have him help with the decorating. Sure having a surprise party was a bit cliche but it was the only way to give Lucifer a birthday party. You all finished just before Lucifer had come back. Diavolo couldn’t keep Lucifer preoccupied for too long because Lucifer was becoming suspicious.

What was he supposed to think with his brothers home alone in the house with each other? Lucifer expected to find the ashes of where his home once stood with his brothers and you outside. However that wasn’t the case, much to Lucifer’s relief.

However he was met with the bright faces of his brothers, you, Barbatos, Solomon, Simeon, and Luke staring at him with Diavolo by his side. Everyone then surrounded Lucifer, who had a confused face.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUCIFER!”

He finally made the connection as to why everyone was here, and why Diavolo was keeping him out of the house. Lucifer was a bit irked. He didn’t really remember his own birthday. He didn’t want to remember it.

Not because there were any bad memories tied to it, but he’s already had so many the day became so bland. You dragged Lucifer to the table and sat him down at the head of the table while everyone else took their seats surrounding him.

He was just going along with everything. It was only because you were there. Without you, and if anyone pulled this he would have been upset. Lucifer was trying to find a reason for why he was okay with it, but he couldn’t find one.

You were lighting the candles, and Lucifer was left to make conversation with Diavolo and his brothers. The candles were arranged to be a rainbow that said ‘Happy Birthday’ on it all because Diavolo took you to the human world to pick up some things and gave you puppy dog eyes until you gave in.

It was really cute though; the candles. Usually the candles would be the age or there would be a set amount on the cake but you didn’t know how old Lucifer was, and assuming he was older than the average human would be a fire hazard.

Everyone was silent as you carried out the cake that you, Barbatos, and Luke all collectively worked on. You started to sing happy birthday and all the guests started to sing along. Lucifer seemed so shocked at the seeming effort put into a day that he didn’t really care about.

But seeing you being illuminated by the flames as you walked over slowly as to not trip, it was enchanting to Lucifer. A soft smile graced his lips as you set the cake in front of him and everyone anticipated for him to blow out the candles.

As he did everyone cheered. Lucifer was a bit irked by the loud noise, but he knew it was all in good faith. They were all happy for him, especially you. He thinks your smile was the best gift for his birthday, and he didn’t expect anything else. However Asmo was really eager to give Lucifer all of the gifts everyone had brought him, and Mammon was ready to see what he could steal.

However you kept Mammon on a tight hypothetical “leash” so he didn’t take anything. Lucifer seemed to enjoy the gifts he was receiving because he would hum after opening each one. However none were what he really wanted.

If there was this party then he might as well want something for his special day. As the festivities went on, Lucifer always had you with him by his side. He would refuse unless you were there with him. There were plenty of party games and such, but most only lasted for a few moments before an argument broke out.

It became a pattern and it was irritating Lucifer. His interest in this party was becoming lower and lower. He had decided to leave the main area and into his room. It took you a bit to realize that Lucifer left your side.

You looked around the main area, as you went unnoticed by the group since they were focused on Asmo and Mammon fighting. Then you walked out into the hallway calling for Lucifer. When you didn’t receive any form of response you walked to the one place he might be.

You walked to the door that opened to Lucifer’s room; he was slouched over his desk working on some paperwork. You walked up to him and hugged his back. You felt him freeze but melt in your embrace.

“What do you need Y/n?”

He didn’t look up to meet your gaze, still keeping his focus on what he was working on.

“I wanna know why you left your own party.”

Lucifer sighed. Did you really not understand? Or did you just want him to admit his feelings to you?

“I think you know why.”

You tried to pretend to think deeply, but you really did know why. But you didn’t say anything, causing Lucifer’s eyes to furrow into a frown. You grabbed his hand and he looked at you confused. He thought you were going to take him back to the party.

“Where are we going Y/n?”

You looked at him with a soft smile, and brought your other hand to your lips making a ‘shh’ face.

“It’s a secret Lucifer. The walls have ears.”

Lucifer chuckled at the joke, it was true though. He didn’t want his brothers to come and ruin this moment. He craved a moment alone with you. If it were up to him that would be how the party started out. Just you and him spending time together.

You took Lucifer to a small clearing and it was quite late. The stars were shining so bright, it illuminated your features in an enchanting way. He was taken aback by the scenery that complimented you. He felt his heart flutter, which was rare.

This was what he wanted. Truly for his birthday, all Lucifer wanted was a moment like this with you.

Lucifer did something unexpected. He pulled you in and kissed you deeply. Under the stars it was a romantic scene. As if it were out of a movie. He held your face in his hands, gently.

Lucifer relished in this moment with you. You were blushing deeply. You didn't think Lucifer would do this. Once you two pulled away from the kiss you gave Lucifer a confused look.

"What was that for?"

You're tone was more of a soft surprise. Lucifer held you close as he whispered in your ear.

"It's what I truly wanted for my birthday."

You blushed again feeling flustered. You hugged Lucifer back.

"Happy birthday Luci."

He hummed. You were the only one who could use that nickname without any repercussions. You two just hugged each other for a good five minutes.

The two of you sat on the grass as Lucifer held you close. He didn't want to let you go. You ended up falling asleep on his chest. After a bit, Lucifer picked you up and brought you back to The House of Lamentation.

He noticed how everyone was sleeping in their rooms. He also saw how the house was a mess and made a mental note to have everyone help clean up in the morning.

Lucifer gently placed you down on his bed as he covered you with his jacket. You're sleeping from seemed so cute to him. Lucifer blushed as he turned his gaze to the small stack of paper on his desk.

He sighed. He should be doing his paperwork. However he laid down on his bed holding you close to him again.

"Thank you Y/n, for a wonderful birthday this year. I love you."

Lucifer kissed your head and fell asleep with a soft smile gracing his lips. He was really content with the events of today, even if they weren't how he wanted them to be.

Happy Birthday Lucifer 2021 Rewrite

I've finally played Lucifer's birthday 2021 edition and I agree that it's really weird that the brothers decided to drug you and Lucifer to go on a date and then keep interrupting said date.. so this is what I came up with to fix that part of the story.

For the past few days, the fact that Lucifer had refused to confide in you about what was troubling him had hurt a little. You know that he wasn't ready to tell you, but that hurt was still there. It settled deep inside you like a rock tossed into a river. However at breakfast this morning, you decided to try to ask him one more time after the way he rushed out at breakfast. At first you stood outside his bedroom door, pondering if it was still a good idea to try, but you couldn't help worrying some more. Once you have gathered the courage, you knock on the door and Lucifer tells you to enter.

"Did you need something, MC?" Lucifer asks.

"I know you told me nothing is wrong, but I can't help worrying about you," You confess at last, looking at your feet nervously, "Is something wrong?"

"Nothing is.." You hear him sigh, "I can't lie to you.. I've lost something very important.. Do you remember those matching necklaces we bought together last year?"

This causes you to look up at him shyly, "Of course I do. How could I forget?"

Finally, he confesses, "I've somehow lost mine.."

Looking into his eyes, you can visibly see how distressing this was for him. Did he think you'd be angry at him for losing the necklace? Before you know what you're doing, you reach out for him, hugging him around the neck.

"Is that what was bothering you? I'm sorry you lost it.. I didn't know it was that important to you," You say and you're not quite ready to look him in the eye again.

"Of course it is.. Any gift from you is a treasure," He says earnestly.

"If it means that much to you.. surely they might have another one I can buy for you at the store?" You say and release him from the hug.

Lucifer says, "That may be true, but I also have a lead on where the necklace might be."

At this point, Mammon barges in and the story continues like normal. Until..

You enter the kitchen with Lucifer following you. As you walk in, Barbatos is transferring the contents of a pot on the stove to two glasses.

"Barbatos, did you see the demon with the necklace come this way?" You ask.

Barbatos turns to you with a smile, "I haven't, but I also have something for the two of you and a note."

You take the note from Barbatos and he turns to leave the two of you alone in the kitchen with the drinks on the counter.

"What does the note say, MC?" Lucifer asks from over your shoulder.

You unfold the note and begin to read out loud, "Dear MC and Lucifer, we thought for a long time what would be the best gift to give you for your special day and this is what we've come up with. If you drink this potion, you two will be transferred to a dream world where the two of you can be alone for a little while. Go on a date and have fun for a little while while we look for the necklace. Thanks! Barbatos, Diavolo, Solomon, Satan, Beel, and Belphegor."

When you're finished reading the note, you inspect the drink on the counter thoughtfully and as you swish the drink it sparkles faintly.

"Do you want to go on another date, Lucifer?" You ask, not looking him in the eye shyly.

"I'd love to go on a date with you, but can I really trust them to not get into trouble looking for the necklace?" Lucifer answers quickly.

"That's up to you, honey. I wouldn't mind getting a break from the others. I love to spend time with you.." you mutter.

Lucifer takes a drink from the counter, also inspecting it carefully.

"Well.. it can't hurt to go for a little while.." he mumbles.

You clink your glass carefully against Lucifer's and the two of you drink from the cups. The last thought in your mind was that strangely the drink tasted like green apples and you're out cold. The next moment, you can hear Lucifer calling for you. You open your eyes to see that the two of you were in what appears to be a diner.

"Are you alright?" Lucifer asks, helping you to your feet, “Come on stay with me.”

"I think so.." You say, inspecting yourself for any injury, “So where would you like to go the most?”

Lucifer thinks for a moment, before replying, “I have an idea where I’d like to go.. But it’s a surprise.”

“Then I’ll let you lead the way.”

You follow him outside of the diner to where it was a bright sunny day. You both shield your eyes from the sun’s rays.

“I know it’s just a dream, but the human world’s sky is blindingly bright. No matter how many times I come here, it’s always a shock,” Lucifer mutters.

You follow Lucifer and soon the two of you come across a beach.

“This is it,” Lucifer says.

You stare at the waves washing up to the shore and back. It’s very calming.

“It’s beautiful,” You say.

“Yeah. This is exactly what I was hoping to see. Have a seat over here, MC.”

You sit next to Lucifer in the sand.

Lucifer continues, “The human world ocean might not seem like anything special to you.. But the way the surface of the water sparkles, the dazzling sunlight, the smell of salt in the air.. There’s so much about this place that you could never experience in the Devildom. I’ve always wanted to sit here gazing out at it with you.”

At this point, you can’t help being speechless.

“Satan and Belphie must have known what was going through my mind. Which is probably why they chose a location near the ocean as the setting of their dream. Unbelievable.. They’ve obviously been spending a lot of time watching me and taking notes.”

You finally say, “You’re lucky to have such thoughtful brothers, huh?”

“There are times when I think so, and times when I don’t. Incidentally, the times I don’t far outweigh the times when I do. But right now.. I guess I’d have to agree with you. I do have good brothers. Every once in a while, they manage to do something worthwhile.”

“They sure can be a handful..”

“Getting to look out at the ocean with you like this.. It really is the best present of all.”

“I hope there’ll be many more opportunities to do things like this with you.”

You hold onto his hand. Lucifer takes your other hand in his and looks at you very seriously.

“I swear I will always love you now and forever, MC.”

The next moment, blackness covers your vision and you’re awake again in Lucifer’s room.

“Mc.. Are you awake?”

Lucifer helps you to your feet again and once again takes your hands.

“Mc.. I really do swear I will always love you, now and forever.”

He leans over and kisses you.

Birthday Celebration | Lucifer x reader

Summary: Charlie throws a birthday party for you with everyone from the hotel there. After everyone left Lucifer had a sweet little surprise for you.

Warnings: gn reader, fluff, readers birthday, first time writing for hazbin hotel, english isn't my first language

A/n: So this is the second fic I wrote for my birthday and I decided to go into a new fandom. I actually wanted to do a after the party part for different characters but got a little lazy and just did Lucifer. Maybe I will one day come back to this but enjoy.

It was just another day in hell, or so you thought. The same old routine of dodging demons and trying to survive the chaos outside of the hotel. Little did you know, your friends had something special planned for you. It all started with Charlie, the princess of Hell, who had a heart as big as her smile. She had been secretly organizing a birthday party for you, determined to make your special day something very memorable. With the help of her father and friends, including Vaggie, Angel Dust, Husk, and even Alastor, Charlie managed to set up a surprise party in the lobby of the Hazbin Hotel. As you entered the lobby, you were met with the sight of colorful decorations, balloons, and a banner that read "Happy Birthday!" in your favorite color. "Surprise!" Charlie exclaimed, her excitement contagious as she bounced up to you and pulled you into a bone-crushing hug. You couldn't help but smile at the sight of your friends gathered around, each wearing party hats and holding presents. Angel Dust winked at you playfully, while Husk grumbled something about needing a drink already. Alastor, the radio demon himself, smirked from his corner, clearly pleased with what he helped to orchestrate. Even Vaggie, though initially skeptical of the idea, couldn't help but be swept up by the atmosphere especially seeing how happy it made her girlfriend. As the party got into full swing, your friends took turns presenting you with their gifts. Angel Dust gave you a flashy new outfit, completed with some very revealing cutouts, while Husk offered you a nice bottle of whiskey. Nifty of course gifted you with some bugs saying that she found them in your room and made sure to kill them for you. Even Lucifer gave you a little handmade ducky though you could tell he was a bit embarrassed about presenting it to you. Charlie, of course, the ever-thoughtful hostess, presented you with a homemade cake adorned with candles. "Make a wish!" she urged, her eyes sparkling with anticipation. You closed your eyes and made a silent wish, blowing out the candles in one breath. As you opened your eyes, you were met with cheers and applause from your friends, their genuine happiness warming your heart. The rest of the evening was spent laughing, dancing, and enjoying each other's company. Despite being in hell, you couldn't imagine a better way to celebrate your birthday than surrounded by your friends in the Hazbin Hotel. As the party drew to a close you and your friends began to disperse, you felt so grateful to have met them in hell. They bring joy into your life that you would never have been able to imagine before. You found a sense of belonging amidst the chaos and this hotel felt like your home.

As the last guest departed you found yourself alone in the lobby of the Hazbin Hotel. Well, almost alone. A soft chuckle from the shadows caught your attention, and you turned to see Lucifer emerging from the darkness, a small smirk playing on his lips. "Quite the celebration, wouldn't you say?" he remarked, his crimson eyes glinting with amusement. You nodded, a warm smile tugging at your lips. "It was incredible. I never expected anything like this." Lucifer stepped closer, his gaze locking with yours. "Well, you deserve it, my dear" he said softly, his voice low and velvety. "But I couldn't let the night end without giving you something special." With a flourish, he produced a small box from the pocket of his suit and extended it toward you. "Happy birthday, my dear." Curious, you accepted the box and opened it to reveal a delicate necklace, adorned with a single ruby pendant. Your breath caught in your throat as you marveled at the exquisite craftsmanship. "It's beautiful, but you really didn't have to. You already gave me that little ducky earlier." you looked up at him not knowing how you could accept such a precious gift. Lucifer smiled, an expression that made your chest feel warm. "But it still can't compare to you" he said softly, before adding "And I would shower you with gifts but I know that you wouldn't want that so please just accept it." He said so much fondness in his eyes as he reached out to hold your cheek. Leaning forward, you pressed a gentle kiss to his cheek. "Thank you," you murmured, your voice barely audible. As you pulled back, you met Lucifer's gaze, finding warmth and understanding reflected in his eyes. In that fleeting moment, you knew that despite the darkness of hell, you had found something truly precious—a connection that transcended time and space, a love that burned brighter than any flame in the depths of the abyss.
