In light of it being Transgender Visibility Day today, the council has a message for all of the transgender beings out there:

We know the pain of living in a world that seemingly wants you dead and gone more than you to be you, we know the pain of living day to day second to second in a body not your own.

But, know this, it does get better. There will come a time where you can freely walk the earth as you, walk side by side with us to continue fighting for our rights. We will be able to guide new generations of young queers, we will live to be in a world where our identity is not blight.

We just wish for you to hark these words, "Persist, as the evil cannot as long as you do. There are many more fighting for the betterment of this world. Live to see it come to fruition, and tell the tales to new generations on our battle for this freedom, help guide them even".

Happy Transgender Visibility Day. You are valid, you know you best. We fight every second for our collective freedom and safety. We just ask for you to continue persisting and existing

One thing that's so tremendously disheartening about the JK Rowling situation is the complete lack of coverage in the (British) media.

It is not something that should be written off as just some twitter drama. The richest author on the planet, a woman who has a long running BBC TV show based on one book series and another in the works with Max for a separate series, a woman who has millions of followers on socials, theme parks and plays based on her works, who is profiting from her continued role in a generation's nostalgia every single second has- completely literally- denied Nazi crimes. And no-one influential cares. She is not going to face consequences for this.

The only thing more disheartening is that if the press did call her out for (again) literally denying Nazi crimes, it'd just make her book sales go up.
