band of brothers in 8th grade, my history teacher would play it for us and i'm pretty sure he used it in place of actually teaching but he was a real one and also a drill sergeant so i don't think anyone argued with his methods

Harry Potter Agere Headcanons! (Part 1)

A/N: Nobody asked for this, however, I don’t care! Also JK Rowling sucks, I just really like her characters.

Characters: Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger.

HARRY POTTER:

⚡️ I think he’s a flip with no lean. When he regresses, he’s usually about 2-3, so quite tiny. He’s very reserved and quiet and mainly keeps to himself, but he does really like attention from his caregivers. When he’s a caregiver, he’s very protective and cautious and makes sure his little doesn’t leave his sight.

⚡️ Takes him a while to warm up to age regression. He’s the chosen one, the boy who lived, and he feels silly for resorting to agere to cope with everything.

⚡️ A lot of people help take care of him, but his main caregivers are Ron, Hermione, and Ginny.

⚡️ Hermione has to take his wand away when he’s little or else he might try to hex Draco or something.

⚡️ He himself helps take care of Ron when Hermione can’t and Luna when Neville can’t.

RON WEASLEY:

👑 Flip with a caregiver lean. When he regresses, he’s usually about 4, and he’s very, very hyper and chaotic. He causes Hermione a lot of stress. When he’s a caregiver, he’s very chill and laidback, and even encourages a bit of mischief, but he’s still very attentive and makes sure his littles needs are met.

👑 He often feels bad because he doesn’t have the means to spoil his little or give them everything he wants to. Harry helps pitch in a lot and will often buy his little gifts but Ron would like to buy more stuff on his own. He feels bad about it.

👑 When he’s regressed, Hermione takes care of him, and sometimes Harry if Hermione isn’t available.

👑 He helps take care of Harry as well sometimes, but usually if Harry is regressed, Ron regresses too within a couple minutes of the two being around each other.

👑 Fred and George go out of their way to encourage bad behavior. Hermione is in shambles.

HERMIONE GRANGER:

📕 Caregiver. She’s definitely a mama bear caregiver. Very protective and cautious. She baby proofs literally everything she possibly can. Does well with littles of all ages, but has a little bit more patience with slightly older littles, mainly because they’re more independent. But she’ll love and protect you no matter what age you regress to.

📕 She loves to take her little to the library and just read stories to them or help them study! She won’t judge you or make fun of you if you’re struggling with something and need her help. She’ll help you take notes and write down things you need to memorize, too.

📕 Takes care of Ron and Harry when they’re regressed. The two are quite a handful but they already act like children most of the time so to her she doesn’t really see much of a difference.

📕 Harry likes to push away his regression a lot, and she scolds him for it often. She often gets panicky and anxious during the summer because she knows that Harry’s being abused and doesn’t have anyone to care for him. When the summer is over, the trio all have like. A week straight. Where Ron and Harry just regress together and Hermione takes care of them.

📕 Fred and George are #1 public enemies to her. The twins LOVE to encourage misbehavior and it gets out of control sometimes.

To the East! Day 1&2 - from Milan to Puglia

It's time to go visit the easternmost train station in Italy, the last one!

Since Italy is really slanted the easternmost station is also pretty far south, so I decided to leave immediately after work, go as far south as I could in one afternoon, and then cover the rest of the distance on Saturday. I'm once again using regional trains with the 3 days train pass, so it's gonna take a lot of trains and a lot of time, but it's also gonna be pretty cheap.

So first train is Milano>Bologna (pretty chill, not too crowded; kind of a boring line that I've traveled a thousand times but it's a windy sunny day and you can see the mountains near lake Garda from Parma which is... impressive).

So many people in Bologna station! I don't have enough time to find something to eat ;_;

Train 2: Bologna>Ancona is packed (I thought the train started from Bologna but it actually came from Piacenza), I had to stand for about the first hour D: When the train gets to the coast is already dark, and I'm a little sad that I can't see the sea (the rail is SO CLOSE to the sea in this part!)

My hotel is literally on the other side of the road from the station XD very nice since it's kinda late and I'm very tired.

The train I'm supposed to take from Ancona leaves at 11:45, but checkout from the hotel is at 10:00, so I get on an earlier train shares the first half of the line with the one with Pescara, and stop somewhere along the line (Ancona is a big city, and the city center is quite far from the station - also I visited it last summer, and I might as well take a look at somewhere else!).

So train 3: Ancona>Ascoli Piceno (but not really).

(See what I meant? The sea is JUST THERE)

I decided to stop in Grottammare, mostly because I've never been there and the station is pretty close to the sea. The old town is up the hill and it looks very pretty, but I don't have much time so I just stay in the seaside area.

(It's almost November and I wish I brought a short sleeved t-shirt. Most things are closed because the season is over but actually it feels like mid September and the effect is jarring)

Train 4: Grottammare>Pescara is a bit fuller, and I end up in a backward facing seat with only half a window. It doesn't look that different than when I did this route in August, but it is a little greener, and the beaches that were covered in beach umbrellas are now properly visible.

I have a very short time in Pescara to change trains, no time at all to visit anything, but honestly I didn't like it that much last time so that's fine by me. From here I'm basically tracing back the journey I made on the first day of my third leg of the Grand Tour of Italy last summer: same stops, same trains, very different time of day.

Train 5: Pescara>Termoli. The sun is on the other side of the train now, and the sea is SO blue.

I have about an hour in Termoli before the next train, so I get something to eat later and go looking for an ice-cream in the center. In the entire corso there was not one gelateria open. I get that it's the end of October but... Really? No ice cream?

Train 6: Termoli>Foggia. The Molisan coast south of Termoli is one of the wildest, least "developed" in the entire Adriatic coast. Lots of pines, just very long stretches with no building in sight. Beautiful and interesting, compared to everything else (or maybe I should say - compared to what's north of it. Because now that I think about it Puglia also has similar coastlines I think).

And yes, it is not summer and it's SO CLEAR! All the green intermingled with the dark terrain it's just amazingly beautiful. If you want to visit Puglia autumn might be the best season (not if you want to swim in the sea though XD)

All I know about Foggia is that it's been mostly destroyed during WWII and rebuilt hastily, and it's considered one of the ugliest cities kn Puglia. Sadly the train station is quite far from the city center proper and I don't have a lot of time, so I only see the entrance of the Villa (the biggest municipal park) and a bit of a promenade.

Train 7: Foggia to Bari. I'm starting to feel the travel fatigue. I'm ready to be at my destination, but I won't be there for at least another 3 hours probably more. Also it's dark, and the train is older and not very comfortable so meh. Train 7 morphs into train 8 when we get to Bari central station (of course the least comfortable train would be the one that I have to take twice XD). Just an hour, plus 10 minutes waiting for the bus, plus ten minutes on the bus and I'm finally at my uncle's house. It's been A Day. Can't wait to go to sleep XD

When I started shipping it if I did: Probably when I first joined the fandom? I think I started shipping it pretty early on, and I watched the entire series with @skittlescripts within two days. I think I thought about it during the Macaque episode (and according to a pic i took, I watched it on Oct 7, 2022) and it probably got solidified in Shadow Play (which I watched either the same day or the next day) or during the s3 specials. So I've been shipping it fully since the second week of October 2022. Bet you weren't expecting an exact date lmao

My thoughts: I LOVE IT. I know a lot of people don't really ship it, and that's fine. It's not for everyone. But I've always loved their dynamic. ESPECIALLY with their history. Maybe that's just the angst writer in me tho

What makes me happy about them: Their bickering. Idk why, but I love the fics that have them going back and forth with no real heat in their insults. It's their love language <3

What makes me sad about them: Their history with each other. How both of them lost each others trust. How Macaque wants Wukong to hurt the way he does. How Wukong regrets what he did but doesn't know how to say it. They are both so extremely sad, and I love them for it.

Things done in fanfic that annoys me: Uhhhh I honestly have no idea? I've been thinking about it through the days and I just can't think of one. Maybe Macaque being purely bad? But I think that ties more into me liking soft mac and hating hurt no comfort. But idk.

Things I look for in fanfic: TEARS. FLUFF. FORGIVENESS. ANGST AND PAIN, BOTH PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL. Give me Wukong protecting Macaque without a second thought. Give me Macaque taking a hit for Wukong out of habit but not regretting it. Give me one or both of them going to MK for advice cuz they don't know how to handle their feelings. GIVE ME THE GAY MONKEYS BEING GROSSLY IN LOVE.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Macaque - Tang. Inkypages is very cute to me and I love it Wukong - uhhh... I don't really know, actually. I don't think I ship him with anyone else? Maybe Tang as well? I'm also chill with him and Tripitaka, but only sometimes.

My happily ever after for them: They finally talk things out and move on. Macaque moves back to FFM, they both don't use their glamours anymore (at the very least not around each other) and they just live the retired life they deserve. Getting fat off fruit till the end of forever 🥺

Who is the big spoon/little spoon: I think they switch from time to time. Wukong likes being big spoon though. And I hc that Wukong runs hot and Macaque runs cold, so Mac is def little spoon during winter.

What is their favorite non-sexual activity: Honestly, I can see them really liking just sun bathing in the grass together. Just them, the sunshine, and a slight breeze.

Sandy

How I feel about this character: I adore Sandy. I will protect him with my life. Sweet summer boy. Man? Sweet summer blue guy. I love him.

All the people I ship romantically with this character: Him and Hunstman are def my fav, but I also low-key ship Lunartides (him and Macaque) and Fishballnoodle (i think that's the name? Him, Pigsy, and Tang)

My non-romantic OTP for this character: The Sandwich trio of course. Him, Pigsy, and Tang all went to college together and I love them.

My unpopular opinion about this character: Uhhhh I'm not sure I have one? The only thing I can think of is that he's my last fav of the gang. Not least fav, just... if I could get merch of everyone in the gang, I'd probably end up getting his last. I DO love Sandy very very much, but I also like other character way more. (I feel like I'm committing a sin when I say that I'm sorry Sandy 😭

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: SHOW ME COLLEGE SANDY. I want to see his healing journey. I want to see him having a falling out with Tang and Pigsy. I want to see all the flashbacks!!

My OTP: SILKTEA SILKTEA SILKTEA. Huntsman is so down bad for this dude it's insane. I also think Sandly honestly didn't realize Huntsman's feelings for him at first. Idk why, but I feel like Huntsman kept trying to drop hints and Sandy was just like ":D You want more tea?" and Huntsman has to flat out say "No, I want YOU! >///<"

My cross over ship: Don't have one </3

A headcanon fact: I think there's one animal he's scared of. No idea what it is, but I feel like there is one single animal he will not go near. Probably something really obscure. Again, not a clue what it would be. But yeah. Oh, he also really likes scrap booking <3

Back to hell in Jeddah

Well, hi!

Second race weekend take the cake? I'm not an optimist taking into account Sharl is starting the weekend off with a penalty. Way to go, yay!

I'm gonna keep the same structure as last weekend, I like the organization better. Just gonna add up some color to the subheadings, seeing all the text in white and trying to find the thicker font is giving me a headache. I'm late watching and writing it all since as usual I was entertained by other things. I might even start the chaos of watching everything quite late as last summer since I might be starting work on Formentera almost a month earlier. We'll see how I manage this this time around.

Press conference - Thursday

Honestly, the only interesting comments from the first press round were coming from Yuki. I'm biased, he was the only interesting driver for me on there, but you know. I have to say though, seeing Lando talking about how they need to improve the car and all is so funny to me. Suck it up, Buttercup.

I like how Yuki talks, so eloquently, more analytically maybe, or at least he seems super focus. I'm more used to seeing him they way he's always shown, shouting in the car or joking around with Pierre, but this calmer version of him is also good to see. I really find him super endearing, honestly.

The second press round looks much better, at least 4 of the drivers are worth listening to.

Poor Estie Bestie talking about the hundred different penalties he got during the race 2 weeks ago. I hope he gets a better race this weekend, at least.

I wanna hug Lance, seriously. It's still a wonder how he's there after breaking his wrists, having surgery, coming back right away and all. Braver than the US marines, my boy.

We don't care about Checo unless he's fighting with his teammate, so moving on. Last but certainly never least, Lewis glowing all around, he's so calm, he's so chill.

Free Practice 1 - Friday

Sunny FP session this afternoon to start the weekend. That must be a hell of a hot day.

Honestly, not much has been going on apart from the stupid rumblings of the Spanish commentators, to which I no longer pay attention at this point. It's a good thing that this is a quiet session since this track is Hell.

There have been a couple of close calls with a Haas and another car that I can't remember now, but it could've been scary material if you know what I mean. And a few off track trips on Turn 22 maybe? But other than that, not much else. So, that's why I've been making the most out of the session since I barely had to look at the screen to begin with. Nice (?)

The one really fantastic update that's worth mentioning above else honestly is the helmet cam on Lewis. Now, that's a view I enjoy.

Just a few problems for Checo I see and that's about it and it's right at the end of the session anyway so 🤷🏻‍♀️

Free Practice 2 - Friday

I may be speaking way too quickly but the second session of the day is looking quite like the first one, calm and quiet.

And indeed it was. I haven't paid that much attention due to the lack of interesting stuff going on. A few problems with the traffic, but not much else. I mean, yeah we already know RBR are leading, Aston Martin are pretty much crushing it and blah blah blah.

The most interesting was seeing Sid the Sloth almost going up against the wall a few times, but we can never get that lucky as to seeing him scratch the car enough as in 2021 during Quali. Ah, good times.

Anyway, more tomorrow and hopefully Quali's a kicker.

Free Practice 3 - Saturday

Sooooooo, here we go again with another session of nothing and a little bit more of nothing. Same as yesterday, I'm afraid.

I hope we get a little more excitement in Australia during Free Practice since it's not this hellhole, at least the chances of half the drivers killing each other accidentally will be a tad lower.

Yeah, definitely a truly quiet breakfast experience watching this at 2pm. There's nothing to comment on about this session, honestly. So I'll just leave it here.

Quali better be something else, for the love of all things... interesting? However that phrase goes 🤣

The Bus Driver

I hate myself for allowing this kind of thing to happen.

It was a chill Wednesday afternoon. I had just returned home from strolling around Wardour Street in London. I went to Urban Outfitters to look for a basic tee to wear because summer is coming.

I strolled there for 1 hour and 30 minutes, ended up buying 2 pieces of tee and a long cozy flowery pants. I was satisfied I got what I wanted and decided to go straight home after that. It would only take 20-30 minutes on the bus with a total of 13 stops.

The bus then stopped at the twelfth stop for several minutes. The driver informed us that there would be a delay in travel. I thought it wouldn't matter because my next stop would be the 13th stop, so whether I stopped on the 12th or the 13th wasn't a big deal.

After several minutes, the bus continued its journey, and I was sitting on the second floor. Just before the 13th stop, there was a red light, so I decided to get off because I didn't want to risk getting off while the bus was still moving. I went down and pressed the bus bell to inform the driver that I would be getting off at the next station. I assumed he knew and heard the bell. Not only did I ring the bell once during the red light, but I also rang it again after the light turned green, just before the bus stopped.

The bus driver opened the entrance door but didn't open the exit door. I stood there, thinking that maybe I couldn't get off here, so I should wait for the next stop. It was fine with me because I could walk for 2-3 minutes.

It wasn't until the bus driver opened his door and asked me if I was getting off…

Bus driver: "Are you getting off here?"

Me: "Yes, could you please open the door?"

Bus driver: "You should press the bell if you want to get off. You didn't. Do you understand what I'm saying? Press the bell."

Me: "I did, twice, during the red light and after the red light, just before you stopped the bus."

Bus driver: "No, you didn't."

(At this point, a lady who had just entered the bus at the 13th stop interjects.)

Lady: "No, she didn't."

(I stared at her.)

Me to the lady: "I did. You just got on the bus. How could you hear if I rang the bell or not?"

Bus driver: "Yeah, you didn't. You're a liar. I don't deal with liars. And what are you even doing here? GO HOME!"

Me: "Yes, okay. Could you please open the door so I can get off the bus, and I will have nothing more to do with all of you."

Bus driver: "You don't even understand what I said. Go home!"

Me: "Open the bus door, please, so I can GO HOME!"

(I even looked at the other passengers, hoping that maybe someone would look at me and defend me, but I totally forgot that THIS IS LONDON AND PEOPLE MIND THEIR OWN BUSINESS.)

But not long after that, the bus driver opened the door, and I was so mad I even hit the side of the bus after I got off. I knew what racism means, but I never knew it would happen to me. It was mental. I couldn't stop crying for days because it was my first time, and I hope there will be no second time.

I've heard the phrase "London is mental, don't come near it" from a lot of people before, but I did anyway. It's been almost six months in London, and I love the city, the scenery, and the coffee shops.

Please help my parents take care of me and help me enjoy your city even more because I'm going to tell them how lucky and beautiful this city is for me. Please…

Day 17 <3

January 2nd - 2024, Tuesday 10:49 am At work!

HAPPY 2024!!! That's crazy! I haven't accidentally put 2023 instead of 2024 yet, that almost seems crazier. (I'm sure that'll happen soon enough) Enjoy my little illustration from New Years Day at 1 or 2 am. ;)

I am currently at work, as you would've read at the top of the post. I. Am. Exhausted. On top of getting back into the work-at-8-am routine, I'm fighting a cold, ahg. Don't worry, it isn't a horrible one and yes, I'm taking care of it. It's been a few days full of hot teas and warm baths/showers, ginger ale, ibuprofen, and water! And of course rest and cozy clothing. Even though I hate being in the midst of a cold, I am glad I didn't have to deal with it while I was visiting family in Canada! So, there's always a bright side, right? ;)

Today I don't have much of a plan, other than after work I would like to crash on the couch and take a much needed nap. After last week being as busy as it was, I'm ready for a chill week. This one isn't going to be as chill as I'd like it to be, but it'll still be *chill.* ;) Tomorrow I'm going to be hanging out with a friend, but our hangouts are usually fun and low-key. Thursday I have therapy, Friday I just have work, and Saturday is my work holiday party in the evening. And I work 8-1 all those days, minus Saturday. So, I'll for sure have some nice downtime. :)

I started the night out with my friends, at one of their houses for a party. It was fun at the start, we played a game called "Radical Queer Witches," which is basically a gay, non-offensive version of "Cards Against Humanity." I 100% recommend. ;) And don't get me wrong, it was a good time to just hang out with my friends, but as the night went on, I started feeling uneasy and not very well. (for a number of things that aren't necessary I get into) So, around 10 pm I headed home, knowing that that was the best decision for myself in the moment. And I am really proud of myself for making that decision. If it was during the summer of last year, I probably would've forced myself to stick it out. So, I've come a ways and I should be proud about that! Being proud of yourself can be a hard thing to feel but it's important. <3

So, after I got home, I felt a lot better and decided to make up my own little New Years celebration area. I made a cozy set up on the couch with our dog, Charlie, some cuddle buddies, and books and notebooks! I also had gotten some hot tea and later, some Ginger Ale and poured it into a champagne glass to feel all fun and fancy. :) Then, I clicked on some Christmas lofi with a cute animation on the tv and journaled for a while! Around 11:45 I found a countdown and put that on, then with about 3 minutes before 2024, I facetimed my friends to welcome the new year with them that way. :) Even though the night had some ah-feeling parts, it was a good night in the end!

The rest of my time at work went well and fast! I worked on the novel I'm writing for most of my shift. Whenever I write at work the time seems to go by really quickly! ;) It especially helps on days when business is slow, the only problem is that I gotta be in the mood to write. (or just sit myself down and force my hands to the keyboard, but we're trying not to force things ;) ) I did end up taking that much needed nap I mentioned. I spent most of my afternoon resting and watching Gravity Falls, another amazing show I'm obsessed with. ;)

I did some novel writing today after a while of not doing it! I got a lot written and a lot of good stuff written! I was able to come home and rest instead of forcing myself to do things I didn't necessarily want to in the moment. I gave myself time for rest. <3

I remembered something that I read/wrote about in my devotion last night. How God's love for me is not determined on how much I get done. He loves me regardless, I don't need to make myself always be doing something. <3

Not necessarily learned, but reminded of: that there's always more to the surface level of stories. It depends on the reader to look deeper or not.

Pretty good overall, I think. I spent a good amount of time today doing something I love: writing. And I thought more about my faith in a way that makes me feel more confident about it too. I feel proud of myself. :)

Lacking motivation would probably be the best answer. But not in all areas. I had the motivation to do novel writing and to do some illustrations. It isn't always like that, but sometimes the lacking motivation tells you something. Maybe there's something that needs a change-up.

I forgive myself for giving myself unrealistic expectations to reach. It's always a journey to focus on yourself and the realizing of hard truths is a part of it.

I see the light. We got back from our vegas vacation and I was a bit scared we were going to come back having not slept for 4 days straight but actually the girls slept relatively well! I was traumatized from the lake arrowhead trip bc Dani didn’t sleep at all when we went bc she just seemed too excited to be in the bed w us. But this trip it was ok. Dani still needs someone to carry her for a little bit first just to get her drowsy enough but then she’ll sleep.

This trip to vegas was a lot of fun bc it was chill but there were plenty of things to do with the kids. It was pretty easy to keep them entertained. If Jason’s foot was better it would have been even better. I felt bad bc he seemed to be in a bit of pain.

I’m already thinking of what we should do for our next vacation but we can’t really take any time off during the girls’ summer break bc we’re taking so much time off for Korea.

A few observations:

1. Naya cried the first night we were in the hotel bc she said she needed to go to school and she said she missed her friends. When I said which friends she said “uhh… nela, uhh… somi.” But she knew she messed up bc neither of those friends are at her school and she hasn’t seen either of them in person in a year. Then the next day when we said we’re staying a few more nights she was crying about how she wanted to go to Halmuni’s house and thst she missed Shiloh. It was so weird bc she was having fun and getting to do all this stuff she was enjoying but she seemed afraid that we were moving there or something. On the final night we even planned on driving back early bc she was so sad abt it. But then night time came and Jason was tired so we were like we’re gonna stay here another night ok? And she seemed all cool abt it and even talked about wanting to stay longer / go back.

jason was saying how she’s so much like him in thst she gets so attached to places and things. It also made me think she’s quite fearful but I suppose when you’re a kid lots of things are scary bc you just don’t fully know what’s going on. In theory it’s sweet but my goodness she cried so much sometimes I was like sheeeezzzzhbhhhh.

2. Dani had at least one meltdown a day. Like SCREAMING at the top of her lungs in public. But she was doing that at home too and I just grew to not care too much abt it while in public. I can’t wait until s he’s out of her terrible two stage. But also she’s still so cute and funny to me.

3. Naya is so into princess stuff jason was like we gotta stop this nonsense. And now I’m starting to feel the same way. I was hoping that by indulging her she’d get sick of it or bored of it but there’s no sign of it yet.

Also not to brag but the girls are OBSSSSESSZZERDDDDDD W ME. To the point that when k was helping Dani w something naya had to keep a hand on me and Jason had to tell her a few times to give me space and to seriously just like back off lol. She also told me today that when she grows up she wants to be a mommy. She also said that her doll ks a baby and she’s like a mommy. And k said when then I’m a grandma. I find it cute she’s so soft and sentimental but also slightly worrying lol. I also sense, though, that when she goes through her teen years the pendulum is going to swing hard in the other direction and she’s going to like revile me or something (please no).

4. I can see how in 2 years time when naya is 6 and Dani is 4, vacations are going to be really enjoyable and fun bc the kids will still want to hang w us but will be so much easier to manage.

Any headcanons on how children behave around very pretty Izuku? Lkke Izuku isn’t as embarrassed around them because the way they show their fascination with him is either very sweet or very odd and there is no in between. During the summer camp, Kouta probably runs over to the tables, leaves a large beetle (that he found!) as a gift for him, and Izuku praises him for his bug-catching abilities

- Kouta, who’s spent a good half of his tiny child life living alone in the mountains with his aunts and uncle, just hasn’t had much exposure. So when he see’s izuku, he does not try to punch him in the crotch. but he does get really, really close to him and stare up with brows furrowed, because 1- this is a heroling, yuck. 2- this one looks different but not in a mutation way, kouta doesn’t know what it is. 3- izuku is fun to look at, compared to the others, in some way. So kouta considers this and just bluntly says “You’re weird, i don’t like you.” which stings izuku’s ego but at least he’s unharmed. then after this strange first meeting, kouta just. keeps gravitating to izuku. he’s still pouting and annoyed about the hero thing, but he keeps sitting down next to izuku to watch instead of going off alone. Izuku decides to use this to his advantage by bringing him meals and coaxing him to talk. things slowly improve, and kouta isn’t alone when the camp’s attacked. izuku does pick him up to carry him to the longue but he says he wants to check on his aunt ragdoll since aunt mandaly said she wasn’t answering. izuku and he run into a different villain on the way and have a fight there before izuku takes him back to the longue. in the future tho kouta does bring him weird things like ‘this is a rock that looks like you’ and ‘this is red you should add it to your costume. right now.’ and ‘i made aunt pixie take out all the brocolli on your plate because you’re green enough’ and izuku just has to nod

- Mahoro is accused by Bakugo of continually crying wolf because she has a crush on Izuku, which causes a fit the level of which only first graders can achieve while Katsuma has no clue whats going on but he likes hanging around midoriya! likes the kind pretty boy and talking with him. Mahoro sulks and keeps trying to drag him away farther, picking places she can keep an eye on the 1a agency with binoculars. it isn’t very effective. Katsuma brings art almost daily to izuku, first drawings from school then of them as heroes.

- Eri like doesn’t really know anyone her own age so to her Izuku’s lumped in with adults while she’s the only child. this continues at ua without a friend her own age, but in spite or because of it she’s the most chill. she thinks izuku’s pretty to look at because of his quick- which aizawa confirms to her- and says she wishes she had that instead of her curse. izuku laughs and says its not that great, though eri doesn’t really get the few stories he’ll pass to her about the trouble it causes. she’s also just not quite sure why everyone makes a great big deal out of a little attention to izuku, but thats bc she’s practically spoiled by being around him and getting treats from him so frequently. when shes older she’ll weaponize his cuteness shield by using him to get more things past the teachers

i agree with how wilbur and tommy are currently the deciding factors in the smp! i do believe there's a very high chance for a wilbur lore boom during the summer as album stuff gets smoothed out (writing and recording a bunch an album will take way more time then processing and mastering it, for example) and i can also imagine a dip in content around july that swings back august-september, like what happened before the elections. i do feel like wilbur and tommy do really enjoy the smp story so far and will put in effort for it, and tommy could very easily bring back the daily semi-lore type content in the future months, once the initial vlogging hype dies down. i also think tubbo and ranboo have very good potential to rope people into semi-lore. there's some people i cannot imagine getting as involved with the lore anymore, and some who really depend (like if the syndicate manages to drag itself back, i can see niki rejoining the lore). and yeah technoblade is really a "if he wants to do this," since we don't really have a solid idea, but if a semi-lore wave comes back it opens a big spot for him and how he prefers to do light-hearted stuff. i feel like quackity is really going to be the lore "meat" for a bit, having a bunch of the heavier stuff. i feel like what's really dragging down the smp now is how spaced out everything is and where the semi-lore return would really benefit the server. i also agree with you that quackity very likely might burn himself out on content soon. i think he could really benefit from showing up on others streams to further lore (like on fundys) instead of shoving a bunch of things into a highly-produced stream, similar to other "villains" like schlatt and wilbur. i appreciate what quackity's doing rn a lot, but i think there needs to be another "threat for threats sake," like schlatt and the eggpire. a villain that's more traditionally lighthearted, with quackity being the darker side of "villainous" lore (see: schlatt and wilbur, to a degree, dream and the eggpire, etc) to balance things out. also, tommy was right with what he did with church prime! being afraid to change anything will get you nowhere! sapnap, start another pet war! i also think more smpearth fellas should be added to the dream smp who've shown interest, like wisp and sophietexas. spice things up!

just a solid agree on pretty much everything here.

in particular with your point about how the server is being dragged down by lore that's too spaced out, 100%. the server has had a problem since the end of s1 with oscillating between full throttle lore and... near radio silence (genuinely the l'manburg/ pogtopia arc was so perfectly paced imo ah but that's another topic). the issue with quackity's lore is that his tendency towards cliff hangers means that it 'freezes' certain characters, and they can't really have an impact when they're not in quackity's semi-movies. there's been a similar issue like that with the syndicate.

basically, the server went from feeling like an actual world we got daily peeks into, with a constantly moving timeline, very much an actual server that featured non-lore, shenanigans, chilling after tournaments or among us games, stage productions of macbeth, people just casually playing on it for fun, semi-lore, and lore, to just lore, with occasional streamers. you see- niki actually stocked her bakery for people to take from quite frequently, people would come on and grind to get stuff back after a battle, wilbur would mine in pogtopia, etc etc.

it was a living, breathing thing that I feel bad that some people didn't get to see live because it's hard to describe. people kept up the casual rivalry between the smp and l'manburg, wear their uniforms to tournaments: and that was what made it so unique. schlatt was a very real threat that could just pop into your vc at any moment, he felt like a proper villain in that sense. in the same stream that wilbur and tommy would be in pogtopia mourning the fact that they had no allies while two hours later we would see fundy writing in his spy diary and niki casually resisting. quackity's lore doesn't really allow for that, and it's good lore, but it's missing what makes live action rp so captivating.

how would I fix it?

1. don't end things on cliff hangers, for gods sake. let a plot resolve in your stream so that way people can react to an build off of it in between lore streams. quackity shot himself in the foot for any casual lore by leaving it on the fence whether people would join and not establishing any clear rules, meaning that all the streams we could be getting rn are blocked by that.

2. save high production value streams for big events, or flashbacks, or just anything that can't be done completely live or improv. that way, you can decrease the time in between any lore at all, take some pressure off quackity, and get back some of the organic, homespun charm. I was watching quackity's stream and thinking 'this is nice, but he could have done five short streams over the course of a week or two that accomplished the same goal but without so much energy and rushing. then, he could cut the footage together into a video if he wanted it condensed for viewing pleasure.' it would build hype and set some sort of much needed pacing

3. if it's not already being done, make the plan public so people can jump in if they want, leave open space for improv, at least a bit. if quackity let himself lean on other streamers half as much as wilbur did for both his arcs as c!wilbur and ghostbur, things could move at a more decent pace and feel like an actual server again. just- hop into foolish's streams my dude

I could elaborate more, but tldr: quackity's lore is good, but it severely lacks pacing, stifles organic chemistry between characters, and could very well burn him out. he should mix in casual lore and used formal lore as a supplement, not a base

Claire hunched deeper into her cardigan as she turned the corner into the dining hall. The thin mountain air was chillier than Boston at this time of year, and she’d have to speak to someone about getting more clothes. Gail, bless her, had shoved just a few days’ worth of essentials into the bag that she’d brought to the intervention – how she had gotten access to Claire’s apartment to pack, Claire didn’t even want to think about – and there was no telling how long Claire would stay at The Ridge.

Addiction was a tricky thing. It would never go away. So – how could she ever be cured?

“Hey!” Claire looked up to see Marsali waving from one corner of the dining hall. “You gonna be helping us out?”

Claire shrugged. “That’s what I was told. I don’t have a clue what I’d need to do.”

Marsali laughed. “I didn’t, either. And Jamie certainly didn’t – he said on his first day that he hadn’t set a table or mopped a floor in years.”

“I heard that!” Jamie popped up from behind the island at the other side of the room, setting down a package of unopened Sterno fuel cans. “Hey, Claire.”

“Hey, Jamie.” She rubbed her arms – from the chill, from discomfort.

“Well, I could use you over here, for starters.” Marsali gestured to a pile of placemats and a rack of glasses. “People pick up their own napkins and silverware when they help themselves to food – but it’s nice to have a proper place setting.”

Claire rolled up her sleeves and soon began laying out the placemats across the six rectangular tables, careful to ensure they were all straight and evenly spaced. Marsali was at her elbow, gently placing one tall, empty glass at the top right corner of each placemat.

“For water, of course,” she smiled. “How are you doing, Claire?”

Claire set down another placemat, not meeting Marsali’s eyes. “I still don’t quite know where I am and what I’m doing.”

“That’s normal, you know. For at least the first week.” Gently she set down another glass. “There’s so much to process. First and foremost, that you’re an addict. None of us would be here otherwise.”

Claire darted up a quick glance to see Marsali smiling kindly. “You didn’t know?”

Marsali snorted. “I’ve always liked to party a bit – even after my son Germaine was born. I thought it’s what adults did – Fergus and I were so young when we had him – and I didn’t think anything of it.” She paused. “Germaine is six. One morning I’m making him breakfast, hung over like you wouldn’t believe, and he asks me if I’ll be having wine with my eggs.”

“I take it that that had been an everyday occurrence?”

“I thought it happened only occasionally. But once my little boy said that, my husband just looked at me.” She set down another glass, and gently held onto the back of a chair. “That’s when I realized I needed help. I can’t do that to my son. Thank God Fergus had done some work for Dougal, so it just took a phone call to get me here.”

“Dougal?”

“Dougal MacKenzie – he’s the director of his place. Heroin was his drug of choice – he was real active in the jazz scene twenty, thirty years ago. He OD’d, almost died, and decided to get clean. Learned so much that he decided to open this place.”

“And he’s Gillian’s husband?”

Together they walked to the next table, and Claire began setting out more placemats.

“That’s right. Together they’ve helped so many people. And I really, really want to get better, Claire. I’ll lose my marriage if I don’t. And my little boy.” A beat. “Do you have a family of your own? It’s totally fine if you don’t want to share anything.”

Claire clenched her jaw.

“It’s all right. There’s not much to tell, really. My parents died in a car accident when I was five. I was raised by my uncle, who thankfully is still alive and enjoying his retirement as a professor of archaeology. I was married, to a man who I thought loved me but who seemed to love his students more. And one graduate student in particular.”

Gently Marsali touched Claire’s elbow. “I’m so sorry. That’s terrible.”

Claire shrugged. “It was the divorce that put me over the edge. I was so angry at myself – I felt so blind, and that I’d wasted so many years. So I just wanted to numb it all out. That’s where the pills came in handy.” She paused, smiling sadly. “I wrote out the prescriptions in the name of my ex-husband – and then I’d take them to the pharmacy myself. I used my old driver’s license that had my married name, to say I was picking them up for him. The pharmacist never knew.”

“That’s kind of brilliant.”

Claire set down the final placemat. “Yeah. I thought I was pretty smart. Though clearly it brought me here today.”

Marsali set down the final glass. “OK – next we’ll go check in the kitchens. We’ll bring out the food and set it up on the buffet. Ready?”

Claire nodded.

They walked toward the kitchen door, and passed Jamie – heaving a metal tray of tomato sauce.

“Spaghetti Wednesday again!” he exclaimed.

Feeling a sudden chill, Claire followed Marsali into the kitchen.

WHAT I LOVE ABOUT DAISUGA AND CANON MOMENTS

Let’s appreciate these two for leading the team to the nationals (long post ahead)

1. Their goals and hard work for the team:

They’re always shown together planning for the team. When Asahi stopped playing volleyball, Noya got suspended, former coach Ukai stopped coaching. I felt bad for these two, they went through hard times as their captain and vice captain it’s their obligation to unite and guide the team. During their first year and second year they were used to failure and called flightless crows. Their expectations crumpled but they did not give up. It’s Daichi and Suga’s job to bring back the name of Karasuno to the nationals with the help of coach Ukai and Takeda, finally they made it to nationals, that’s why their former captain was so proud of them because they followed his words. When they didn't have their coach yet, they behaved as Karasuno’s temporary coaches (thank goodness Takeda’s an angel). Daichi was shown coaching the team in the first few episodes and Suga helped Tanaka bond Kageyama and Hinata. Suga questioned Daichi’s plan about the weird duo (Daichi’s a matchmaker) but after what Daichi said he helped the two bond and honed their skills.

In the HQ light novel “Melancholy of the third year student”, Asahi stated “with Sawamura leading the team and Sugawara taking care of the members, what could i possibly do to contribute” he witnessed Daichi and Suga walking together in the hallway; Asahi was impressed because of their dedication to guide the team to the nationals despite they’re in college prep class still they gave their best in guiding the team. Tanaka also acknowledged his senpais hard work that’s why he extremely respects his senpais, he was always there supporting the two. Coach Ukai madly respects Suga because he gave his setter position to Kageyama for the sake of the team and Daichi because he’s the best in motivating the team.

2. They know each other so well:

Daichi has this proud mode when he talks about Suga. When he told the team that Suga’s an experienced setter he had this “Yes that’s my amazing setter” face and when Suga did that amazing spike he jumped like a kid. In the HQ light novel “Sugawara’s decision” this happened during the first training camp. Suga was anxious to tell Daichi of his plan to give his setter position to Kageyama. When Suga finally told Ukai about his decision, Daichi and Asahi overheard their conversation and promised to win any match as much as they can. When Suga stated “I think in order to win, the person we need right now is Kageyama” Daichi and Asahi expressed their concern because the three promised to step on the court together (i get so emotional when the 3rd yrs play together). Daichi was worried and he told Suga that they can do something about it. THIS IS ACTUALLY ONE OF MY FAVORITE HQ LNs because of what Suga thought after their discussion “He was glad to have sawamura who accepted him the way he is, as his teammate” AND I FUCKIN LOST IT HQ LN SHOULD BE ANIMATED. Daichi supported Suga’s decision for the team, “Daichi was very certain of Suga who had been with him for the past 3 years”, he even stopped Tanaka from interrupting Suga’s monologue telling him to listen.

Remember when Ukai announced the first lineup for dateko vs karasuno match and the shot was focused to Suga and back to Daichi; you can see Daichi did this weird eye thing glancing at Suga. Daichi’s proud moments of Suga were “I think you’ve revived too Suga” and “I’m glad you still want to fight” when he told Daichi “I do wish my tosses could’ve played a part in the victory”. When Asahi and Noya stopped coming to the team, the only members left were Suga, Daichi and the 2nd years. Suga also took the blame and Daichi was there for him. He was shown secretly listening to Yamaguchi and Suga’s conversation about the mop (and comforted him that he shouldn't blame himself. I’m kinda disappointed they didn't include this in the anime). These panels show their trust and respect for each other.

He cant even dare to hurt Suga (but lets Suga punch him anytime) and he knows when Suga goes to overthinking mode. Also Suga knows Daichi so well i think i’m gonna cry. Scolding Daichi when he was not vocal during the game; Suga’s known for being the only one who can lecture Daichi. When Daichi told Suga and Asahi that it’s better to hand over the team to the 2nd yrs, Suga knew Daichi didn't mean that; Daichi felt hopeless because they lost again. He knew Daichi wanted to stay and play volleyball and step on the orange court.

He’s also used to Daichi’s stern mode. Daichi was also shown being the one who can keep Suga in control like “Suga please calm down”. Their relationship isn’t fully conveyed in the anime but i’m thankful that creators created drama cds, light novels, extras, spin-offs and haikyuu stage play to let us know more about the characters.

3. The team parents:

They always discuss about their team members like Suga asking Daichi about Kageyama and Hinata (kagehina bond ep) and Tsukishima. In the haikyuu drama cds “what if karasuno’s manager isn’t shimizu kiyoko” and “the reason behind the t-shirts” they were worried about entrusting the manager’s job to Tanaka, Noya and Hinata. When the team was hungry because Kiyoko wasn’t there, Suga told Daichi to take action so he assigned the weird duo to buy foods for the team and they were the ones who planned for the names of the shirts with the help of Noya, Kiyoko was pissed at the two because they were busy thinking of their own shirts. In the haikyuu light novel “the last summer vacation” (Sources: 1|2) Suga watched the team with worry on his face because it was so hot so he approached Daichi and expressed his concern that the team will get sick from the heat. Coach Ukai overheard the discussion and called a meeting. They’re usually seen together in every scene in the anime, stage play, haikyuu light novel, extras, manga, spin-offs and drama cds, scolding Tanaka, Noya, Hinata, Kageyama and Tsukishima; discussing volleyball stuffs; and buying pork buns for the team. In the lets haikyuu and extras (hq spin-off) it’s actually semi-canon they’re karasuno’s team parents. They also have this karasuno christmas bonding tradition.

It was also STATED BY THE DIRECTOR IN THE HQ MAGAZINE AND THE VOICE ACTORS THAT DAICHI AND SUGA ARE THE TEAM PARENTS AND TANAKA’S THE BIG BROTHER (here are the links: 1| 2|3)

4. Teasing, bickering and just them being dorks:

Suga teasing daichi is my jam. In the HQ LN “Yachi’s delivery mission” (Sources 1|2), this conversation frickin made me squeal like a mouse with laryngitis. After practice the team was thirsty and wanted something cold to eat. “It’s indeed hot, lets get ice pops before we head home” daichi stated then frickin SLY/LIL SHIT SUGA JUST CASUALLY SAID THIS REMARK “Oh that’s not a bad idea, are you going to treat us Daichi-san” HE FRICKIN ADDED -SAN. So the team didn't let the opportunity go away they screamed with joy and thanked Daichi. After what happened Daichi just glared at Suga who was smiling at him. Daichi’s a softie when Suga’s involved. Suga got Daichi to buy ice cream for the team. I REPEAT HQ LN SHOULD BE ANIMATED.

Daichi knows when Suga’s about to do something stupid and his antics. They argued about this. When Suga was mad at Daichi because he was implying that the last year shrine visit was nothing; he was so pissed he started fuming at daichi. Suga also told Daichi that steak just being steak is better over diced steak. Hyped suga and daichi trying to calm him down is the cutest shit. In the HQ LN “Tokyo Expedition: Captains’ Meeting”(Sources: 1|2), Daichi warned Suga about Kuroo because he knows how to read minds and loves mind games and Suga was like ‘you need to chill Daichi’. When it was Suga’s turn to pick a card from Daichi’s deck he picked the joker and twitched his brows, Daichi whispered at Suga telling him whenever he drew the joker his brows twitch so Suga massaged his brows. I REPEAT AGAIN THIS SHOULD BE ANIMATED. The other captains and vice captains are competing against each other but look at these frickin idiots they are helping each other. DAICHI OBSERVING SUGA THEN WARNED HIM ABOUT HIS TENDENCY OF TWITCHING HIS EYEBROWS. IM GONNA FRICKIN DO A BACKFLIP. Also Daichi and Suga love to make fun of asahi but when you frickin hurt asahi these two will frickin punch you in the face. Frickin daisugasting dorks.

5. They are always together and in sync:

In the manga, anime, extras, stage play, light novel, drama cds and official art/merchandise they’re usually frickin together and always in sync, same reactions and thoughts. Remember when Daichi looked at Suga (S1 ep24) like he was asking for approval then Suga nodded. That was so cute ugh.

Extras:

Suga is 6 months older than Daichi. June 13 and December 31. Their birth dates makes me go WAIT WHAT.

Suga and Daichi’s name meanings are compatible.

During the christmas bonding time, Suga received daichi’s gift, a daruma. Daichi bought it as a gift because it weighs like a volleyball (he’s such a volleyball nerd) and he told Suga that they should draw the eye together. (Source link)

Suga’s first synchronize attack was a success and he tossed it to Daichi. Coach Ukai assigned these two along with Tanaka to learn synchronize attack.(Remember when Daichi told Suga he borrowed coach ukai’s tablet so they can watch the videos together)

The way they look at each other like there’s nothing else to look at.

What I truly love about these two is their relationship and trust for each other.They complement each other, which makes them a good combination. They went through obstacles and look THEY MADE IT TO THE NATIONALS, kiyoko witnessed their progress and asahi thanked suga and daichi because they welcomed him again in the team, remember when asahi was not sure if they’d accept him to the team but daichi and suga were just laughing and made fun of him.

Their vice captain and captain interaction isn't fully expressed in the anime and i hope that everyone will appreciate them more! They made it to nationals! And them being proud of Hinata and Kageyama in the hq time skip is one of the best treasures Furudate sensei gave to us.

Lets talk about these two. Daisugasting volleyball idiots.

More Cheese than a Dairy Farm

1. after the last practice of preseason

“Great job guys, good work today. Take tomorrow off and get ready for classes to start, and then regular practices start tomorrow night,” Dex says.

“And the first team breakfast is Wednesday after morning practice!” pipes up Chowder.

There’s a general rush to shower and leave, guys chirping each other left and right. Nursey finally feels at home. He closes his eyes while he waits for C and Dex to wrap up so they can head to Annie’s. He’s a senior. He even knows what he wants to do after college. Life is good.

“Hey. Hey Nursey.”

“What Dex.”

“Feel my shirt.”

He opens his eyes to see Dex holding out the edge of his t-shirt with a smile and doesn’t try to fight the rush of affection that comes with it. He reaches out and rubs Dex’s shirt.

“It’s nice. Soft.”

“Know what it’s made of?“ Dex asks.

“No? Cotton? Should I know?”

Dex smirks and leans closer.

“Boyfriend material.”

Nursey bursts out laughing. He can’t help it. Coming out to him and C over the summer had been a huge step for Dex. He was so much more relaxed and, though he would never say it out loud, chill now. Chill enough to use horrible pick up lines on Nursey of all people.

“Dex that’s so bad oh my god,” Nursey manages to wheeze out between laughs. He looks up to chirp him more and sees that Dex looks proud of himself despite the fire truck level blush he’s rocking.

“You guys ready?”

Dex reaches his hand out to help Nursey off the bench. “Yeah we’re good Chowder, let’s go.”

Still laughing, Nursey just says “boyfriend material” to himself, takes Dex’s hand and they leave the locker room.

2. During Spookykegster

It’s an excellent party. They won their game last night, and there’s no practice or classes in the morning to wake up for. Ideal conditions for sure. And his best friends are on NurseyPatrol, which, to be fair, hasn’t been needed since sophomore year, and has now evolved into the best excuse to hang out with Dex and C for some quality Frog Time.

“You mind if I leave to go over to Cait’s?“ Chowder asks, shouting a little to be heard over the music.

“Ooooooh we see how it is, don’t we Dexy? Not even our epic friendship can hold a candle to the lovely Farmer. What ever shall be done?” Nursey says as he sways into Dex.

“You’re good C, take off. Come help with clean up in the morning and it’s all good,” Dex says, his hands automatically coming up to catch Nursey before he overbalances and falls.

“Bye guys! Have fun the rest of the night!”

And now Nursey has a slight problem. Tiny really. It’s just that now he’s alone with Dex. Dex who is actually wearing a costume for once. He’s dressed up as Woody from Toy Story and Nursey might be having a hard time not staring at Dex’s ass in those jeans.

It’s fine.

“You want to get another drink? Or are you going to dance?“ Dex asks.

“I think drink,” he says, moving toward the kitchen, “I need another beer I think before dancing. Want one?”

“Ayuh, sure, thanks Nursey.”

He goes and comes back, handing Dex a can as he leans back against the wall next to him. He’s drinking and scoping out a potential dance partner when out of nowhere he hears,

“Are you wearing space pants?”

“What? No? I’m wearing jea-”

“Because your ass is out of this world,” Dex finishes a little too loudly, blushing furiously.

“What’s this Dexy? You flirting with little ole me?” Nursey flutters his eyelashes and delights in watching Dex’s blush deepen and spread down his neck.

“I - well - you know - I - no?”

“Chill Dex. I know you’re just practicing, en bee dee,” he says just to watch Dex’s eye twitch at the spoken letters. “Gotta go see a boy about a dance. Catch up with you later.”

Nursey laughs to cover his disappointment and goes to dance. Now that he knows Dex isn’t serious and his beer is finished, it’s time to dance.

3. At Founders a Week before Finals

Nursey is stressed okay? Just because he’s got an internship lined up for credit for next semester doesn’t mean that he doesn’t need to study. And his Harlem Renaissance paper is kicking his ass. But once he finishes this draft he can take a break. He just needs to focus. Or another coffee? Maybe he just needs -

“It’s a good thing I have my library card because I am totally checking you out,” Dex whispers, from the chair next to him.

Nursey starts to snigger, trying to keep from making too much noise in Founders.

“You been saving that one just for me Dex?”

“Just thought you needed a little break from your paper,” Dex says, trying to be nonchalant about it, but his hand comes up to rub the back of his neck, and his ears are bright red, giving him away.

And.

Nursey can’t hold it in anymore, and starts hysterically laughing.

He’s still laughing as the librarian swoops down on them and demands they leave. What a horribly cheesy pickup line. And from Dex of all people.

4. Nursey’s Birthday

All the card says is “We’re not socks but I think we’d make a great pair.”

But, he recognizes the handwriting and it was left on his pillow so he digs his phone out of his pocket, laughing.

Me: woowwww dex

Me: this one is so cheesy if i didn’t know better i’d swear you’d have a fondue machine down there

As he changes out of his jeans and gets ready for practice in an hour his phone pings. He opens Dex’s response and promptly has to sit down. William J. Poindexter has responded with a selfie. It’s a little blurry, clearly taken while he walks home from his programming class. It’s unseasonably warm for February today, so the pink across Dex’s freckles are 100% blush.

Dex: Happy Birthday, Nursey! Hope it made you laugh.

Something about the picture makes Nursey’s breath catch. He doesn’t feel like laughing all of sudden. He doesn’t want to examine the swooping sensation in his stomach too closely. That way lies madness.

5. March

It’s been a brutal practice. But no one is complaining. They’re in playoffs. Everyone wants to do well. And Dex is a great captain. He’s really come into his own this year.

But today was like Bitty was still here; Dex put them through a whole practice of the Russian calisthenics that Bitty had adapted from his figure skating coach.

Everyone was wiped.

“Dex, you’re my best friend but I hate you so much right now. If you were a punching bag all that would be left would be a pile of sand on the ground.”

“If you were words on a page, you’d be fine print.”

He couldn’t help it. He giggled.

“Oh stop making me laugh, I can’t feel my abs as it is,” Nursey says, looking over at Dex.

“S’just the truth,” Dex mumbles, flushing abruptly and turning away to dig in his bag for his shoes.

“Fine print,” he snorts and hauls himself up to go refill his water bottle.

+1 After Winning the Frozen Four

Nursey doesn’t think he’s ever been happier. They’ve won the Frozen Four for the second year in a row. Chowder had a shut out, and both he and Dex had scored. It was truly a perfect game.

He knows he still has to get through the rest of his internship and finals but right now, he’s on top of the world.

He and Dex are crammed into a too-small booth for their combined shoulders with Chowder and Farmer (who flew out to watch the game) opposite them. Nursey feels good, floaty and glowing. They won, his friends are here, and long-established convention means he gets to be pressed up next to Dex. Not an inch between them.

It wasn’t like he was unaware his crush was getting astronomical. And it didn’t help that Dex kept feeding him pick up lines all this year. Lately, they’ve been a small torture, wanting Dex to flirt with him for real.

Whatever.

He’s here. Dex’s here. Nursey’s happy.

Dex has never looked better. Confident and loose like he usually only gets at the Haus. The lights overhead highlight his freckles and Dex’s hair, a touch too long and starting to curl after not cutting it through playoffs. Nursey’s staring. He knows he is. With a herculean effort, he tears his gaze away and tries to focus on what Chowder is saying.

“-And wasn’t it s’wasome when Bully checked that guy right before he could get to Whiskey and -”

“Breathe, babe,” Farmer says fondly, “They were there too.”

Nursey leans further into the leather, relaxing when they leave. As happy as he is, he is tired, and the booth is comfortable. Especially with Dex so close.

They’re all chatting too loudly about The Martian and he’s laughing at Farmer’s Donald Glover impersonation when Dex suddenly winks at him. Nursey almost falls off his seat. Dex leans closer, and whispers in his ear.

“Hey Nursey?”

“Yeah?” Nursey can barely breathe.

“Even in zero gravity I would still fall for you.”

Nursey doesn’t blush. Which means the heat he feels in his face must be a symptom of a fever. His throat is dry enough it might be true.

“Ha ha Poindex-” he abruptly stops talking when he feels Dex’s hand cover his own on the seat in between them and his fingers curl around Nursey’s own.

“Oh holy shit,” he whispers, “Really Dex? Now? With a cheesy pick up line no less?”

“S’thematically appropriate,” Dex shrugs and then tilts his world upside down with, “I got tired of you thinking I was joking around the other times I tried flirting.”

“Wh - I - I -” Nursey has no words. For once in his life.

“Its a good thing you’re pretty,” Dex chirps before leaning in an kissing his cheek, holy shit.

“FINALLY!”

They both jump and look around at Chowder’s shout. C’s beaming at the two of them.

“Do you know how much in back fines the two of you owe?!?!”

Dex just laughs and hides his (bright red) face in Nursey’s neck and Nursey tries not to melt.

“I think we’re good for them, C. It’s chill,” Nursey says, not looking away from where his fingers are curled up with Dex’s.

The fines are worth it.
