Bad Decisions - T.H. (1)
Tumblr media
frat!Tom x Reader - Fake dating AU
Summary: Tom and Y/N, two students with opposite personalities, join forces to solve a problem: they both desperately need a fake relationship to escape different social pressures.
MASTERLIST
W/C: +3K
DAY 0
There is an unknown saying that says that every choice is a loss and that good choices will also hurt. Some may say that the best choices are those that are made calmly and cautiously. Choices made on impulse are the most worrying. Taking a risk without thinking about the consequences and not being sure you can deal with them is dangerous.
But perhaps, thinking too much about a decision to be made is not a good option. Sometimes we need to take risks and be willing to face whatever comes our way. Regardless of the need.
That's why you find yourself on an endless tightrope with only two alternatives: keep walking trying to keep your balance without seeing the end or throw yourself towards whatever can hold you before you hit the ground. That whatever being a brown haired boy with stars in his eyes who you call your friend.
‘’Friend” may even be too strong a word for what defines your relationship with the famous Tom Holland, one of the players on the college football team. Known for his charm and great performance on the field, intelligent, friendly and attentive, these are just some of the qualities that define the boy.
What started as just a pair project on social psychology has become a constant in your life. You and Tom worked hard during class and received a high grade due to your research performance and dedication. But what surprised you was Tom's insistence on staying in contact with you.
No stereotypes but truth be told, you would never have exchanged a single word if it weren't for this project. Despite having already crossed each other's path at times, nothing ever went beyond that.
Today, Tom is curled up on the sofa in your living room with a book in his hands, while you are sitting on the floor with a notebook open on the coffee table. Study dates happen frequently between the two of you. Despite his fame, Tom is very focused on his studies and is months away from graduating in psychology, just like you.
"Can we take that break you promised?" He says without looking up from the book but without reading a single word.
"It's been exactly 20 minutes since we started.'' You said.
"Isn't there a study method like this? You study for a few minutes and take a break?"
"I don't think that's how it works, Tommy" You giggled.
"I'm bored" He says, closing the book and throwing it on the table in front of him.
"Studying isn't supposed to be boring. If it is for you, it means you're not learning anything."
"Seriously Y/N, you can't tell me that studying about catharsis and free association is fun" He looked at you in disbelief.
"Tom, this is literally part of the course curriculum... you should have known this when you signed up."
He huffed and lay down on the couch, looking at the ceiling of your living room.
You even tried to turn your attention to the content in front of you but every 30 seconds he would snort, clearly seeking your attention.
"Alright, you win!" You said, letting go of the pen that was in your hand and turning towards the boy lying comfortably on your sofa. "If my grades drop, it's your fault, and don't complain about yours later." He grinned standing up and sitting down.
"As if there's any chance your grades will drop, smartiepants” You rolled your eyes, sitting on the couch next to him. "I'm hungry. What do you say we order something to eat?"
Just as you thought about agreeing, his cell phone went off. He picked it up off the table and you noticed that it was a video call from Brian, one of the other players on the team.
Tom quickly looked at you who just shrugged. He got up answering the call.
"Where are you, bro?" The muffled sound came from the other end of the line.
"What is happening?" Tom asked while watching his friend, clearly out of control of his cell phone, focusing the camera on everything but himself.
"Bro, the party at Taylor's house, did you forget? Everyone's here. She said she invited you and she seems disappointed that you're not here yet. Where are you?” Tom rubbed the back of his neck.
"I'm at Y/N's house." He replied.
"Dude, again? You better be seizing the opportunity and using it to your advantage." Shaking his head, Tom walked to the open balcony door and closed it behind him, making it impossible for you to hear the rest of the conversation.
Even though you know him better now, you also know Tom's reputation around campus. You know that he has been involved with many girls and that he has already broken the hearts of most of them who always expected more from him than he was willing to give.
You also know that most of the kids on the team only think with their other head and not the one above their necks. You know people talk about your friendship with Tom. Everyone thinks you're fucking in secret.
But Tom never took any initiative in this regard. Nor did he show any interest in you in that way, despite the intimacy you very quickly created with each other. There have been a few nights where you shared a bed and even cuddled on the couch while watching a movie. Not to mention the dates you had together but were never named that way.
So everything was always platonic. Two people who understand each other and feel comfortable with each other to share the most intimate moments.
Even though this all happened in just 6 months.
Getting up, you started putting away your study materials, waiting for Tom to say he was going to that party. Surely you lost all desire to study and your only objective from that moment on was to lie in your bed until daylight.
Maybe you could even ask for something to eat and drown your sorrows.
Not 5 minutes had passed and you heard the sliding door to the balcony opening again.
"Hey, did you give up studying?" Tom said looking at the now clean table. His belongings were also already inside the backpack he brought and no longer scattered on the floor.
"Yeah, I thought about going to sleep, actually." Tom looked at you in surprise.
"I thought we were going to order something to eat... then we could watch a movie, that new horror movie you wanted to see just came out."
"It's called Totally Killer..."
"So... what are we waiting for? Would you really rather sleep than hide in my arms when a scene scares the hell out of you?" He said smiling and opening his arms.
"You know I never do that, and if I remember correctly you're the one who has to hide when a movie gets too scary."
"You know that's our secret, don't you?" He said sitting down on the couch.
"I thought you were going to... what's her name? Tina's party?" You said mockingly.
"Taylor, actually. And no, I'm not going there" He said and you sat down next to him.
"Can I know why?"
"You know Y/N... It's Taylor. Taylor Brown."
"Ah, the girl who won't let go of you? I thought she had given up, I haven't heard you talk about her in a while."
Taylor was one of the girls who had created too many expectations after a night with Tom. The problem is that it wasn't just one night. She was one of the only girls Tom almost had a relationship with, they hooked up several times and even hung out together all the time. But just 2 months after meeting you it seems they broke up, with the story that he wasn't ready for a relationship. And since then, Taylor has been looking for any opportunity to be close to Tom.
"She invited me and insisted that I go to the party today. I just spoke to her on the phone..." He sighed, running a hand through his curls. "I don't know what to do anymore Y/N... I made it clear to her that I don't want anything serious but she keeps pushing me."
"Do you want my honest opinion or do you want me to agree with whatever you say?"
"Be honest"
"First of all," You settled down on the couch, facing him, "you shouldn't have hooked up with her at Brian's party two weeks ago. You just fueled the fire even more."
"I was drunk, we kissed. And nothing more than that happened, you know that."
"Yes, I was there helping you when you got sick."
He laid his head back on the couch and closed his eyes.
"I just wanted to take a break from this. I didn't mean to. I don't want to give her hope. I have so many things to think about and a complicated relationship isn't one of them."
Tom is a person completely responsible for his actions. He was raised like this since he was a child. Despite loving football, he knows the importance of his studies and always seeks to improve himself more and more. He still doesn't know what career he wants to follow, as his talent for football was only discovered in his first year of college, but you're sure that whatever side he chooses will be a success. He knows he gets distracted easily and doesn't want to put anything in front of his main goal right now: graduating.
"If relationships weren't something so complicated, who knows..."
"I don't think relationships are complicated... people are." You sighed, moving closer to him and placing your head on his shoulder. "Relationships should be calm and welcoming. Of course, there is no relationship without problems and that's okay. But we are the problem... we are the ones who complicate things.” Tom gently took your hand that was in your lap and intertwined your fingers.
"Sometimes we overthink things. Relationships should be light. Not a weight we have to carry on our shoulders."
"I'm sorry" he said in a whisper as he stroked the back of your hand with his thumb.
Tom knows your story. He knows about the relationship you had that lasted 4 years and you swore it was that once in a lifetime thing. He even met the boy who broke your heart into thousands of pieces and left you to glue them back together alone. He didn't know you at the time, he only found out that your ex-boyfriend was his rival from another university a few months after you met and after he commented on the asshole who almost broke his leg during a match.
You and Sean met two months after classes started at a friendly match between the two universities. He accidentally slipped in front of you while running towards the field and you laughed at him. He flirted with you and promised he would take you out for coffee if he won the game.
His team lost but he kept his word.
It's hard to say when the flame between you went out. And this is something you don't try to think about often. Something inside you changed when Sean decided to leave your life. Maybe the broken pieces of your heart were still lying around, waiting to be fixed.
"It's okay... You don't have to feel about it."
"If I could, I would finish him off."
"Oh, how manly. My savior."
You laughed but soon the laughter was replaced by the silence of the apartment. The two of you continued to sit next to each other maintaining physical contact, Tom held your hand firmly and showed no signs of letting go anytime soon.
That was a constant between you. Even the silence was pleasant. Just each other's breath and presence was enough.
"My sister will be getting married in 2 months." You said.
"Woah, already? That's good isn't it?"
"It seems so." You sighed. "I don't wanna go."
"Why?"
"The last time I was home they wouldn't stop asking me about Sean... even after 5 months since we broke up."
Your family loved Sean. Just like you, at one point they were just waiting for you to announce your engagement.
"Do you need support?" He asked.
"I can't ask that of you"
"If you need me to go as your date it won't be a problem, you don't have to deal with this alone."
"Maybe I'll find a boyfriend in two months. Maybe they'll stop asking me about my ex if I show them I've moved on." You joked.
Silence returned and the two of you remained in the same position. As you closed your eyes, enjoying the calm of the moment, Tom's head was spinning with different thoughts.
That's when he found the solution.
“Y/N, would you like to be my girlfriend?”
"What?" You said scared, raising your head and looking at Tom's profile. "Are you crazy?" You said laughing.
"I meant... my fake girlfriend." He stared at you.
"Tom, you've got to be kidding."
"I'm serious. Think with me, okay?" He said looking at you seriously, which made the smile fall from your face. "You need to introduce someone to your family to forget about your damn ex. And I need to take a break from Taylor and show her that I'm not available."
"Tom... I don't... I don't think that's a good idea." You said, looking at everything around you except his eyes.
"Look, I'm not going to force you into anything... it was just a thought I had given of our situations." He said, settling back down on the couch.
You felt the air in the room change and Tom seemed shy and embarrassed by what he had just proposed.
"Tommy, this could end badly. I don't want things to get complicated between us."
"You know you don't need to, nothing has ever been like that with us. But it's okay, forget what I said. It was stupid, I don't know what I was thinking." He said, running his hand over his face.
Tom had already let go of your hand a while ago and suddenly you felt the extreme need to hold his again. But something changed and it was strange. He had just proposed a romantic relationship between the two of you. What would that involve? Kisses, hugs, dates... sex?
"Still hungry? Shall we order something?" You said trying to get back into the mood.
Tom got up quickly.
"Actually, I think I'll go. You said you wanted to sleep, so..."
Surprised by his decision, you stood up as you watched him put his backpack on his back.
"Ah, okay. So, can we watch the movie another day maybe?" You said awkwardly.
"Yeah, another day" He replied in the same tone.
Normally, he would hug you when saying goodbye but this time he just shook his head and walked towards the front door. He also left without looking back.
What just happened?
After Tom left you didn't do much. The hunger you felt completely disappeared too. You took a shower with the intention of relaxing your tense shoulders and then lay down on your bed.
Despite your attempts, nothing could put you into a deep sleep. Millions of thoughts were running through your head at the wrong time. How did Tom think of something like that? Does he feel comfortable with you on that level? Wouldn't that be weird? What could happen to your friendship? What is the limit of a fake relationship?
At some point during the night you decided to use your cell phone and browse social media.
Big mistake.
Angela, a colleague from a previous curricular subject had posted a series of photos and videos a few hours ago. The first photo was nothing more than a selfie in the bathroom mirror with another unknown girl. The following photos already included the place and people present at the party. In any other situation, you wouldn't care much about a specific photo, but due to the events of hours ago you felt heat rush to your face when you saw a photo of Tom with his arms around Taylor.
In fact, one of his arms was resting on her shoulders, while the other was on the shoulders of his best friend Harrison. Seemed friendly, just posing for the photo. But knowing their history, it's suspicious. So he went to the party after being rejected? Does what you did count as one?
At that moment you felt something changing inside you. Would it be a bad idea? Despite the short time, Tom has become a constant in your life and you know that he knows you like no one else. Still with your head racing, you left your cell phone aside and reflected a little more before sleep completely invaded you.
...
Due to the time you spent rolling around in bed before going to sleep, the extra 5 minutes before getting up became almost 30. You barely missed the first class of the day, and despite the teacher's ugly face when he saw you enter 15 minutes after hours, it was very useful. Lily, a friend, was already saving your spot.
"What took you so long?" She whispered.
"I'll tell you later." You replied smiling slightly.
The truth is that only one thing was on your mind this morning: finding Tom.
The class distracted you for long enough and when the teacher dismissed the class, you were one of the first to leave the room. Lily didn't even have time to ask you anything else.
You made your way through the halls to the courtyard, heading to the football field at the back of the campus knowing you would find your target there.
He was sitting in one of the lower stands. The sun made the sweat dripping off him shine, he had probably already ran around the field a little. The slightly tight uniform left little to the imagination. Some boys from the team were on the field chasing the ball, while others surrounded Tom.
You walked up to him, holding tight to the strap of your bag, suddenly not feeling as confident as before. When you were a few meters away, Tyler, one of the boys spotted you and tapped Tom on the shoulder getting his attention before pointing to where you were.
Tom looked confused but he got up and ran to you.
"Hey, what are you doing here?" He asked.
"Uh, I... I came to see you." You replied embarrassed. What was happening?
"Really?" He said with a playful tone. "I didn't know I was so dear to you" He joked.
"Yesterday you left very quickly and I..."
"I know, I'm sorry about that Y/N. Can we just forget it happened? Forget anything I said?" He cut you off and ran his hand through his hair looking embarrassed.
"Tommy..."
"Look, I need to keep training, the coach might complain and I don't want to get you in trouble." He interrupted you again. "Ah, I think I'm going to have lunch with the boys today, is that ok? We can arrange another day." He was already turning around before he even finished the sentence and fear spread throughout your body.
Was he suddenly avoiding you? Has he felt so embarrassed that the only option he has now is to push you away?
On impulse, you grabbed his hand before he moved further away from you. He turned around and you looked at him.
"I'll do it." You stated.

May I ask for your headcanons of Reinako’s relationship after canon? Could be for manga or PGSM!
Hello friend! Thank you for dropping by and giving me a prompt to gush on Reinako even more! XD
First off, here are two sets of PGSM Reinako headcanons for those who haven't seen them before. They are all connected. XD
Reinako Headcanon 1
Reinako Headcanon 2
And thanks to this ask, here is a brain dump of more headcanon:
PGSM Reinako Headcanon Part 3:
Timeline/stages of life of the Reinako development:
Following directly after the Final Act, during the girls' 3rd year in middle school, Minako was a bit awkward about how to act casually around the Senshi team. Rei helped her out the most before the group dynamic fully settled - e.g. never stopped inviting Minako even if Minako often needed to miss out on group plans due to work without making Minako feel bad (not that the others intentionally make Minako feel guilty, but they just try too hard, versus Rei doesn't make a big deal about it); calling Minako out when Minako holds back on sharing her candid thoughts or feelings with the team for some silly reason or due to occupational hazard of being an idol; calling Makoto and Usagi out when they fangirl too hard and was making Minako feel awkward, making it a struggling for Minako to balance building a genuine friendship or treat them as fangirls. (Ami was also a bit shy with Minako at the start, so Rei had to run some interference there, but Usagi and Makoto were the troublemakers.)
I struggle to make up my mind on which is the better high school scenario: if Minako went to Juuban with Ami, Makoto and Usagi just like manga canon, or because of her fame and celebrity status she ended up going to T*A academy for high school with Rei (better security because of all the politician’s and big businessmen’s daughters in the school, etc), Regardless, high school period is when Rei and Minako really settled as best friends, getting to the point they practically know everything about each other and would be in contact almost everyday.
By the 3rd year of high school approaching graduation, Minako starts to realize she has romantic feelings for Rei. She suspects Rei might actually reciprocate her feelings, except Rei is too dense to realize or too scarred by his dad's abandonment of Rei and Rei's mom to consider exploring a romantic relationship. Knowing both Rei's and her own career trajectory would take them away from Tokyo with limited contact after graduation, Minako decided to not broach the topic.
Rei and Minako drifted apart a bit after high school graduation until the Special Act. After the kiss at the hospital (see Headcanon Part 1), and then UsaMamo's wedding, they both matured enough to face their feelings and started seriously considering starting a relationship. They had to do a lot of soul-searching and shared really candid conversations to get through all the emotional baggage, personal barriers and doubts they both carried, but they eventually got there.
And then they live happily ever after following what I described in Headcanon Part 2. haha (My actual headcanon of post-Special Act Reinako is drastically different from my fanfic, coz apparently I thrive most in writing angst and battle. LOL)
High school era PGSM Reinako:
While Rei took the lead in helping Minako find her place in the Senshi team dynamic and getting comfortable with just being a normal teenager during their middle-school period, Minako was the one that instigated most if not all the shenanigans that led to their deepened friendship in the 3 years of high school, elevating their relationship from just-friends to best friend status.
I always imagined Minako pranked Rei by surprising her on a school visit at T*A to "check out options for a new high school". Minako and her manager Saitou Sugao are being led on a school tour by a nun, and when they spot Rei, Sugao (who is of course in on the prank with Minako) makes a whole scene of barging into the classroom trying to scout Rei into stardom in front of all of Rei's peers as if it's his first time meeting Rei and exclaiming he has found the next shining star of Japan, after Minako of course! Rei was absolutely mortified, though the Senshi team had a great laugh when Minako shared the story in their next hangout. Rei was not pleased.
Following the above headcanon, I headcanon that Rei achieves the same intra-school celebrity status by the time she enters her high school division, similar to how Rei is a school celebrity in T*A in the manga. The drastic change from live-action canon was first prompted by the whole stardom scouting fiasco Minako and Sugao caused. Secondly, Minako learned by chance that Rei was bullied at school throughout middle school through Usagi describing how she met Rei. When Minako confronted Rei about it, Rei just shrugged and brushed it off coz she was used to it and the bullies are practically harmless with more bark than bite, but Minako was still so upset about it that she went to post on her public blog (equivalent to celebrity Twitter/Insta nowadays) about how Rei's her best friend and the coolest, kindest person who helped her get through her illness and recovery, etc. She wrote a whole sob story narrative about how thankful she is for having Rei in her life and how Rei was a source of inspiration and a role model to her, etc. etc. and posted some photos she had taken with Rei. Suddenly all of Rei's peers see Rei in a new light and think she's the coolest and want to befriend her for a chance to also meet Minako. The teachers started actually addressing and punishing the bullies and the school atmosphere was changed anew. The whole deal freaked Rei out, while Minako felt very pleased with herself.
Once Rei joined the archery club in T*A's high school division, she gained even more fame from winning archery competitions at the district and then national level. Her achievement adds to the furor Minako caused, and the lowerclassmen in T*A practically fawn over Rei and founded a fan club with merch. Minako loves teasing Rei about it and secretly becomes a fan club member with platinum status from buying all the merch.
^ The fan club is how Minako knows Rei's archery competition schedule, coz Rei is too humble to ever mention it, and also because every time she gets way too embarrassed by how loud the Senshi team is when they cheer for her, because Minako makes sure the whole Senshi team is decked out with inflated thunder sticks and signs whenever they go cheer for Rei at competitions.
Other misc PGSM Reinako headcanon:
Rei's the one who always remembers and is mindful of Minako's distaste for whipped cream, and stops Usagi's rampage on getting strawberry shortcake for every Christmas because Usagi always reminisces on the cake she and Minako had on the Ferris wheel and forgets Minako’s actual food preference. Rei knew coz she actually paid attention to the lyrics in Sayonara ~Sweet Days.
It's very often Usagi and Makoto would drag the girls around town to try out a new cafe or shop that's selling some new sweet drink, pastry or snack (shaved ice, ice cream, crepe, cake, etc. the stuff you'd see people post on foodie social media). If Minako ever bows out of getting something for herself, Rei will make sure to buy something she knows Minako will likely enjoy so Minako can share some of hers (usually strawberry-flavoured coz that's Minako's favourite), and without fail Minako would take some of Rei’s 'just for a taste because she’s curious', and then inevitably eating half of Rei’s. lol And if Rei is buying something for Minako or knows Minako will inevitably take some from her, Rei would always also buy a bottle of water to accompany whatever crazy sweet things Usagi makes them eat/drink - and it has to be room temperature only, for Minako because Minako needs to be very careful with maintaining her vocal cords for singing.
Whenever Minako and Rei get into a serious fight but both struggle to reconcile, they both would separately go to Artemis and poor Artemis can usually help them sort it out after. But if things get really bad and they notice Artemis is feeling caught in the crossfire, Minako would then go to Makoto, and Rei would go to Ami to process their thoughts... or vent. Makoto and Ami's involvement becomes a yardstick of whether "shit's-hitting-the-fan" or not.
Manga Reinako Headcanon...?
I've not thought as much about the manga Reinako headcanon because I perpetually live in PGSM brainrot. But I do think manga Reinako eventually established a partners-for-life relationship in the manga universe as well.
Different from how I think PGSM Reinako eventually enters an openly romantic, crazy-in-love-for-each-other relationship (once they get over their personal crap), I see manga Reinako has a more subtle and delicate soulmate relationship that is built on deep partnership and mutual understanding in life and duty, especially considering their near immortality and role in Crystal Tokyo. Their relationship dances back and forth on the line of being romantic involved in their personal life, and being a kind of kindred spirit in their view and attitude towards their duty. They've dated, and fallen in love with each other, but across the years also realize sometimes they need space from each other to maintain healthy boundaries between private life and their duty. When they enter a break from each other, it's nothing bad and always with mutual understanding, done amicably - stepping away so they don't get "sick of each other" since eternity is a damn long time! But if one of them is ever feeling down or struggling with something, they are each other's default go-to person, their safe place, and they can discard their masks and break when they need it, especially when they start outliving their non-Senshi family and friends while the world they know of slowly changing and morphing into Crystal Tokyo.
Once they stopped aging, Minako would still try to find opportunities to enjoy life as a human when it's possible, while Rei was more comfortable just accepting fate and being Sailor Mars for life. When there's no crisis to deal with, Minako makes Rei de-transform and drags Rei out of the palace for a girls' night with her in the city.
I see manga MakoAmi to have a similar partnership as well. Though their way of showing affection for their partner is a bit more overt and less complicated than Reinako's. Rei and Minako are so interesting to me because I feel they are more polar opposites in some ways, yet both are so similar in how deeply layered their personality and backstories are that it complicates their relationship but also strengthens them.

Someday We’ll Be Together
Chapter 2: Mother knows best
___________________________________________
(joes pov)
"joey are you even listening to me??" - lexie
"yeah lex, you were talking about how i should start working out more" - joe sighed
"yes. you need to listen to me okay, i'm being serious because of your injury you're starting to lose your six pack because you haven't been in the gym lately. lexie mathews doesn't date boys that don't have six packs" - lexie
"yeah. i'll tell trainer that i want to tone up" - joe
"that's my boy! hey i gotta go tay and her friends are here." - lexie
"are there any guys?" - joe
"well duh. can't have a party without boys joey. i've got single friends you know. i love you joey!!" - lexie
"yeah uh bye lex" - joe
"bye baby!!" - lexie ended the call
i dropped my phone onto my chest and ran one of my hands over my face.
after y/n told me to leave i went straight back over to my house. i had my own house but it was across the street from my parents.
i can't have her mad at me, not after i just got her back. i need advice from someone but i cant ask my mom because i know she'll end up telling y/n what i told her. i knew i could talk to y/n's mom, so i walked across the street to their house. my parents went home for dinner so i knew i was set to have a private conversation.
"hey joe" - your dad
"hey uh where's y/m/n?" - joe
"kitchen" - your dad
"okay, i need to talk to her" - joe walked into the kitchen
"hey joey!" - your mom
"hey.." - joe
"you okay?" - your mom read his body language
"not really.. i need to talk" - joe
"of course, do you want to go sit out back?"
- your mom
"sure" - joe
once we were situated out on the back deck she turned to me, waiting for me to start.
"i'm going to tell you something and i need you to promise you won't tell y/n" - joe
"okay... i promise i won't tell her" - your mom
"thank you. i haven't told anyone this, not even my parents or ja'marr." - joe
"go on." - your mom
"okay so uh, ever since we transferred to lsu. i had feelings for y/n. like i had a crush on her."
- joe
"oh my gosh.." - your mom couldn't help but smile
"i was going to tell her at our graduation party but i chickened out. i'll forever punch myself for that. but anyways, i had a massive crush on her. like everytime we made eye contact my heart stopped. i was absolutely terrible at flirting though, comparing hand sizes stops working after awhile. she was everything to me, and i was so scared that if i confessed to her and she didn't feel the same way that our friendship would be ruined. that's why i never ended up telling her. when i got drafted i was happy that i'd be coming back to ohio but then y/n told me she was staying in louisiana. i tried to lose feelings, but i quickly realize it wasn't going to happen and instead i'd have to suppress my feelings. i never had intentions of losing contact but when i started dating lexie six months ago she didn't like that i talked to y/n everyday and told her literally everything. lexie told me that she'd break up with me if i didn't stop talking to y/n. stupidly i started ignoring y/n." - joe
"yeah that was a dumb choice joe" - your mom
"i know. i told y/n that's why i stopped talking to her today and she flipped. i tried apologizing but she told me to leave. i understand why though, she has every right to react the way she do because i was an asshole." - joe
"a big one. but joe why are you telling me all this sweetheart?" - your mom
"i cant have her mad at me. i just got her back you know? and when we were upstairs setting up her room and catching up she did the talking and i listened, but it didn't matter to me. as long as she was there with me. i just haven't felt happy with someone like i did in that moment in a long time" - joe
"joe.. honey i think you aren't seeing something here" - your mom
"huh?" - joe
"are you listening to yourself? joe i think your feelings are coming back" - your mom
"n- no. i have a girlfriend. it was just a little crush i had when i was younger, all in the past." - joe
"are you sure?" - your mom
"yes. but how can i get her to not be mad at me?" - joe
"i don't know.. there's really nothing you can do to change the past" - your mom
"i'm so mad at myself. lexie treats me like shit, i was on the phone with her before i walked over here and she told me that i needed to start working out more." - joe
"why did she say you need to work out more?"
- your mom
"she said all the rest i took while injured with my torn acl caused me to start losing my six pack. she told me lexie mathews doesn't date boys that don't have six packs. those exact words." - joe
"oh my, honey you don't deserve that."
- your mom
"i know.. but in a weird way i think she does it because she cares about me, like she's doing it out of love." - joe
"joe that's not true, i'm sorry but i'm telling you the truth. it sounds like she's just with you to say she's with you. you need to get out of that relationship" - your mom
"thanks for listening" - joe
"no problem, i'm always here for you. also, i promise i won't tell anyone what you told me"
- your mom
"yeah please don't" - joe chuckled in attempts to lighten the mood
when we walked back inside y/n had just walked into the kitchen.
she looked up at me with a sad look in her eyes, i watched her mouth open to say something but i stopped her. y/n's mom walked into the living room to leave us alone.
"i'm heading out now, don't wanna bother you"
- joe walked past her
"wait- can we talk?" - you
"huh?" - joe stopped and turned to face her
"i don't want to fight joe. i just got back, and i don't want there to be negative tension between us." - you
"i done want to fight either. but you're right with how you reacted, i'm really sorry." - joe
"that's the thing. you know what you did was wrong so i shouldn't hold it against you." - you
"do you want to have a movie night? at my house? i'll cook dinner." - joe
"sure" - you smiled at him
"great" - joe smiled back
"since when are you a cook through joey?" - you
"since the idea popped into my head that i should cook food for you as an apology" - joe made you laugh
that beautiful laugh. it made my cheeks heat up.
"i'm going to get ready. sweats is okay right?"
- you
"yeah" - joe
"okay perfect. i'll see you then?" - you started walking away
"uh yeah" - joe smiled
y/n gave me another smile before she walked away and i heard her footsteps go upstairs.
i excitedly walked towards the front door with a smile on my face.
"get her joe" - your mom smiled
"at least break up with miss breast implants before you start flirtin with my daughter"
- your dad
"im not flirting, im trying to rebuild a friendship. also, she's got a fake butt too" - joe
"gah dang" - your dad
"you need to get out of that relationship joe"
- your mom
"i plan on it" - joe smiled before walking out the door.
things are finally going in a good direction.

WINGLEADER: A Xaden Riorson POV Fanfiction
CHAPTER 18
“Oren Seifert.” Captain Fitzgibbons voice booms around the courtyard. "We commend their souls to Malek.”
Quiet chatter rises from the crowd as Fitzgibbons finishes memorializing the first-years I killed yesterday.
Just one more kill to execute.
He rolls the scroll up tightly and slips it into the pocket of his midnight blue winter cloak.
From the back of the courtyard, I walk toward the front of the formation, the crowd parting as I pass, the mask of the Wingleader firmly in place.
“Don’t forget that extra training for War Games starts this week. Your squad leaders will have more information regarding scheduling.” Fitzgibbons announces over the bustle of restless students.
I turn to face the Fourth Wing. Every section stands in perfect order, not a toe out of place. My eyes lock onto Violet’s, and there’s a fire in her gaze that leaves me momentarily enraptured.
I turn to address Dain, breaking out eye contact.
“There’s been a change to your squad roll.” Behind me, Fitzgibbons has moved on to graduation announcements.
“Wingleader?” Dain questions, straightening to his full height. He’s still a half a head shorter than I am.
“We just absorbed four from the dissolution of the third squad.” The squad leader argues.
“Yes,” I turn to look at one of the other squad leaders in Tail Section. “Belden, we’re making a roll change.”
“Yes, sir.” He nods.
The correct response.
“Aetos, Vaughn Penley will be leaving your command, and you’ll be gaining Liam Mairi from Tail Section.
Dain opens his mouth as if to speak and, then thinking better of it, snaps it shut and nods.
Penly and Liam switch spots without a word.
My brother gives me a small nod of assurance as he steps up next to me.
“I do not need a bodyguard,” Violet fires at me.
I ignore her, turning so she’s boxed out of the conversation. “Liam is statistically the strongest first-year in the quadrant. He has the fastest time up the Gauntlet, hasn’t lost a single challenge, and is bonded to an exceptionally strong Red Daggertail.” My eyes cut to Liam and my chest blooms with pride as I continue. “Any squad would be lucky to have him, and he’s all yours, Aetos. You can thank me when you win the Squad Battle in the spring.
Liam gives a silent nod to Dain and slides into formation behind Violet.
“I. Do. Not. Need. A. Bodyguard,” Violet repeats in a loud, clipped voice.
Someone in First Squad audibly gasps at the clear disrespect in Violet’s tone.
Over to the left, Imogen snorts out a laugh. “Good luck with that approach.” I move toward Violet, every step echoing with an undeniable authority.
At this moment, she is my inferior. A subordinate whose life is so closely intertwined with mine that there is no room for declarations, compromises, or rebuttal.
I stand in front of her, leaning in so our faces are close enough for me to see the flecks of blue and green in her hazel eyes. “You do, though, as we both learned last night. And I can’t be everywhere you are. But Liam here,” I point behind her to where Liam stands, ever the loyal sentinel. “He’s a first-year, so he can be in every class, at every challenge, and I even had him assigned to library duty, so I hope you get used to him, Sorrengail.”
“You’re overstepping,” she says through her teeth, looking up at me with so much contempt; it’s no wonder why Tairn bonded with her.
“You haven’t begun to see overstepping,” I warn. My voice drops into a low growl. “Any threat to you is a threat against me and, as we’ve already established, I have more important things to do than sleep on your floor.”
Color blooms at Violet’s neck, trailing up her ears and painting her cheeks a rosy pink. “He is not sleeping in my room.”
I grin at her obvious discomfort.
Checkmate.
“Of course not. I had him moved into the one next to yours.” My smile widens. “Wouldn't want to overstep.”
Turning my back on the Second Squad, I head back to leadership's designated spot at the front of Fourth Wing.
Panchek shimmies past Fitzgibbons, the codex clutched in his hand, and takes the podium.
I let myself barrel into the depths of my mind, sinking into a meditative state. A lethal calm that cocoons every one of my senses, a protective layer for the roiling anger and exhaustion underneath.
Panchek sets the heavy codex on the podium and begins flipping through it, muttering noisily to himself.
He flips through the pages skimming with his finger for several minutes until he halts tapping his index finger on the page, marking the correct Addendum, he looks up to face the entire Formation. “Thank you, Fitzgibbons, for the morning announcements. Now before you go, there’s another matter to handle this morning. One of deepest concern.”
He laces his fingers together and places them atop the codex, leaning into the crowd, a looming presence. “It has been brought to my attention as your commandant that a breach of the Codex has occurred.” His voice floods the courtyard, amplified by small magic.
“As you know, breaches of our most sacred laws are not to be tolerated. This matter will be addressed here and now. Will the accuser please step forward.”
I begin a long, languid walk to the dias, every head turning toward me as I march up that dias.
Placing myself in front of the podium I look out into the crowd, a long silence sitting like a wall between me and the audience of riders
It’s a tactic I saw my father use time and time again.
“A crowd can be one of two things son,” my father says over a table laden with steaming eggs, cream and porridge, thick strips of bacon, crisp and curling at the ends. I pick at my breakfast, too focused on his carefully measured words.
“It can be your damnation,” he pops a red, plump strawberry into his mouth and chews. “Or your salvation. Make people believe in you but, more importantly, fear you just enough, and I don’t infer you should be a tyrant, son, but the smallest amount of fear can breed authority.”
I hesitate, letting his words sink in, giving myself a moment to understand the meaning until I can see it with perfect clarity. “How? How do you create fear? How do you…” I trail off, trying to gather my words. “I want to make every single person in a room look at me when I speak.”
It’s ingrained in me now, the subtle art of capturing everyone’s attention without trying.
“Early this morning,” I begin, my voice carrying over the formations, “a rider in my wing was brutally, illegally attacked in her sleep with the intent of murder by a group primarily composed of unbondeds.”
There’s a collective intake of breath, worried murmurs as heads swivel in  every direction.
“As we all know, this is a violation of Article Three, Section Two of the Dragon Rider’s Codex and, in addition to being dishonorable, is a capital offense.”
I gaze at Violet, a symbol and reminder of everything I almost lost last night.
She gazes back, her eyes steely.
My hands clench the sides of the podium as I calm my rising anger. “Having been alerted by my dragon, I interrupted the attack along with two other Fourth Wing riders. I dip my chin toward Garrick and Bodhi.
The two riders make their way up the dais and stand, flanking me on both sides. “As it was a matter of life and death, I personally executed six of the would-be murderers, as witnessed by Flame Section Leader Garrick Tavis and Tail Section Executive Officer Bodhi Durran. But the attack was orchestrated by a rider who fled before I arrived.” With every syllable, my voice rises, nearing a full shout, quiet fury blazing a trail of heat at the base of my skull. “A rider who had access to the map of where all first-years are assigned to sleep, and that rider must be brought to swift justice.”
I look out into the crowd. “I call you to answer for your crime against Cadet Sorrengail.” My eyes lock on Amber in the center of the formation. “Wingleader Amber Mavis.”
The crowd immediately breaks into a frenzied uproar. I stand above it all, hands still clenching the sides of the podium.
Amber steps forward, breaking the carefully orchestrated formation. “I have committed no such crime!” she yells.
I keep my attention fixed on Amber’s face, growing red with anger and panic, but I’m acutely aware of Violet as she stumbles backwards, bumping into Liam’s back.
Dain stands close enough to her that she has to crane her neck up to see him, hands cupping the air as he moves toward her.
The entire courtyard is now watching Violet and Dain. “Give me the memory,” he orders, and that heat in my head becomes a living thing, roaring louder as Dain closes in our her.
Violence, however, has rallied to her namesake. She lifts her chin and stares down her nose at a man who sits almost a foot taller than her. “Touch me without permission, and you’ll spend the rest of your life regretting it.”
There she is. Just like that, my frustration with her has vanished.
A thought that just irritates me further.
“Wingleaders.” My voice permeates through the rumbling crowd. “We need a quorum.”
Nyra and Speton climb the stairs to the dias, gazes passing over Amber as they stride by. A nonexistent entity already stripped of her authority.
The beat of wings seems to shake the air around us as six dragons fly into the courtyard, landing like giant birds perched on the battlements.
“You’re using this to get your revenge on my family!” Amber shouts from her lone position at the center of the courtyard. Isolated in a sea of bodies. “For not supporting your father’s rebellion!” She plans to go down swinging,
And I intend to meet her blow for blow.
Turning away from her, Nyra, Septon and I huddle close.
“Xaden, this is a huge accusation–” Nyra starts, her brow furrowing. “Though I can’t say it doesn’t make sense.” She sighs.
“It’s the truth” I counter.
“Trial by fire?” Septon asks, mouth forms a thin line, his expression grave. His decision clearly already made.
“I don't doubt you, Xaden. Her sentence?” Nyra asks
“Fire.” Septon speaks before I can answer, “You know Tairn will accept no less.”
“He would be correct.” Sgaeyl adds.
Without warning, a memory protrudes from Tairn’s mind, his inexhaustible power forming a link between everyone in the courtyard. I slam my eyes shut at the sudden breach.
The scene from last night, the unbonded attacking her while she slept, Violet jerking awake, Amber’s face peering out of her hood as she fled the room.
“That spineless wretch,” Rhiannon seethes loudly as the memory ends and my mind clears.
“The wingleaders have formed a quorum and are in unanimous agreement. We find you guilty, Amber Mavis.”
“No!” she shouts, her voice is nearing total hysteria. “It is no crime to rid the quadrant of the weakest rider! I did it to protect the integrity of the wings!” Amber paces in panic, her eyes searching for any salvation in this den of dragons.
As if the formation was controlled by one mind, they step backward, exiling Amber in one small movement.
Nyra’s voice rises, “And as is our law, your sentence will be carried out by fire.”
“No!” Amber’s panic is palpable,“Claidh!”
At her rider's words, Claidh snarls at the other dragons, all rationality gone in the face of the breaking bond.
Quick as a viper, Tairn swivels his massive head toward Claidh and roars, shaking the ground beneath my feet. He snaps his jaws at the smaller dragon and realizing her defeat, she retreats.
“Please don't,” Violet is looking at Tairn, heartbreak lining her face.
“Her penchant toward second chances is what will end us both. '' I push the thought toward Sgaeyl, needing somewhere to put my utter disbelief at the level of idiotic mercy Violet is willing to bestow on anything and anyone.
She sends a low hum through my mind, “Perhaps it is something you need. To balance your lack of it.”
Violet turns her attention to me, “Please give her a chance.” I hold her gaze in mine, my face cold and unfeeling.
Justice is justice.
“Claidh,” Amber whimpers in the silence. Disgust courses through me at her sniveling.
The formation parts, leaving a gap that ends where Amber stands.
Tairn leans in, his large head almost brushing the stone ground. his larged, fanged teeth crack open and a stream of fire pulses out of his mouth, incinerating Amber within a second millisecond.
A piercing cry rips through the air. A lament so painful and undiluted that it shatters the glass panes of a window, and I have to clutch my head, hands clamping down over my ears to lessen the impact.
Claidh launches into the sky, the sounds of her shrieked weeping following her into the distance.

My eyes look around the bedroom. The size of it impressed me. It was slightly bigger than my old studio apartment, but compared to the rest of the rooms in this apartment, it was the smallest. Or so I had been told, anyway. Other than the lounge area and entrance, I had seen nothing else.
The tall man who had picked me up from my old apartment had briefly introduced himself as Sunghoon, one of the managers. When we arrived at the new apartment, he took me straight to the room that would be my bedroom, telling me to make myself at home and ‘the others’ will be home soon before rushing back out the front door. I was left alone after that.
The room is nice enough. Decor is rather plain, very plain in fact - white walls, white bedding with a pale pink throw blanket at the bottom, light hardwood flooring with a beige rug, empty desk in the corner with a basic stool and a silver table lamp. There was a built-in wardrobe, chest of drawers, and bedside cabinet. It had the basics, which is all you really need, I guess, but it had zero personality. I can smell the faint smell of paint, which meant it had recently been decorated. I wondered what colour it had been before. As I sit down on the double bed I groan lightly, the past 48 hours had been crazy!
So my name is Luna, birth name is Younha but as a child I always pronounced it as Luna and the nickname sort of stuck. I was born in New York, in the back of my dads car by the side of the road to be exact! My parents said I was eager to arrive, and it was a fitting start to my life ahead as I always jumped head first without thinking. My current situation was a testament to that!
My dad was in the army, so we moved a lot. I had lived in many countries, got to experience a lot of different cultures and I had a rather unique childhood. I had always had a love for learning new things, exploring new places, so I adapted well every time we moved. I was 15 years old when my parents settled in London and my twin sisters Hyejin and Soojin arrived soon afterwards. When I was 18 years old and graduated from school, I decided to move to Seoul to continue my studies here.
Both my parents are Korean but neither of them were born or had even lived there. We would visit during holidays and it was vital to my parents that we were fluent in Korean too. I always loved when we visited so, for me it made sense to me to study here. My parents were incredibly supportive of my ambitions, and as hard as it was to move so far away from them, it was also the best decision I ever made. I excelled in my studies, made friends instantly and graduated top of my class. My dream job was always to teach languages and the fact I was fluent in many of them before I even began studying gave me an advantage, but after graduating, finding that dream job proved harder than I imagined.
I am sitting in an interview to be a language tutor and translator. Excited to have my first interview for a job I had wanted for years, a job I had studied hard for. I had graduated from college the year before and I had struggled to find a job in the field I wanted. To pay the bills, I was working as a receptionist in a hotel. Honestly, I hated it, but I was grateful for a steady wage.
A week before, one of my old college professors contacted me to say an entertainment company had approached her. They were looking for someone to teach English as well as translating. She asked if I wanted her to put my name forward. I nearly dropped my phone telling her that of course I did as she laughed and replied she was glad because she already had. Within 24 hours, I had a call from the company itself asking me to come in for an interview.
I had no idea what the company was. I had been told in the interest of privacy they could not reveal the company until after the interview process. All I knew was this was a full-time job, working with a group. They didn’t say if it was a boy group or a girl group, nor how many members there were, but it would provide accommodation and they would except me to travel as well. It was exactly what I wanted.
I was confident in my language skills and translating. That isn’t me being big-headed or thinking highly of myself. It is just facts, but I had little tutoring experience. Only tutoring a couple of high school students and most of them had a zero interest in learning English so it felt like a waste of my time and honestly, really soul destroying for myself. I couldn’t understand how people didn’t have an interest in learning other languages. I just hoped the lack of tutoring wouldn’t affect my chances for this job.
“So Miss Lee, we can see from your CV you are fluent in multiple languages. How did you have time to study so many?” The older woman asks me
“My family moved a lot for my father’s job. Every country we lived in, I would learn the language.” I reply.
“So, every language you know, you have lived in that country?” The younger man asks as I nod.
“So you’ve lived in France, Spain, Italy and Norway?” the woman asks
“Yes. Germany too, but we weren’t there long.” I reply.
“Where did you learn english?”
“English is actually my first language, I was born in America.” I say
“Wow, and you are Korean too?” the man asks, looking down at the CV
“Yes. My parents are both Korean, neither of them lived here, but they were taught Korean and English. They did the same with myself, and my little sisters are learning Korean too.” I answer, “My parents and sisters live in the UK now.”
“You are certainly very well travelled.” The woman smiles
“It is rare someone of your age is so well educated. Your education records are very impressive. Your college professors spoke very highly of you as well.” the man says, looking over at the woman who nods back at him
“Miss Lee, from the moment we all read your CV we knew you were our top candidate for the position we have. We had to meet with others and of course with yourself, but from what you have told us today there is no doubt in my mind that you are perfect for the job.” the woman smiles at me.
Holy shit! I got the job! I got the fucking job! Inside my head is screaming, my heart is racing, but on the outside I am cool and calm. Like a duck in a pond.
“We understand you will need time to consider your options before you can give us an answer, but…” the man says
“I’ll take it.” I say quickly, making him chuckle, “Sorry.” I add, bowing for interrupting him.
“If you are 100% sure, then we can sign the confidentiality forms the now. Once you have done that, we can give you the full details of who you will be working with.” he says. “And then we can get your official contract signed as well.”
After an hour of going over a million forms, signing what felt like thousands bits of paper to the point where I felt like my signature didn’t even look familiar to me anymore I was told I was going to another room to meet ‘the band’. I still had no idea who it was and only hoped that I would know them. I would be beyond mortified if I walked in and didn’t know who I was working with.
As we arrived at the door, the man who had interviewed me smiled at me.
“The guys have been told you’ve been hired. You were their top pick from candidates as well.” He says
“Oh, wow.” I say, instantly feeling more nervous.
“We wanted them to be involved in this process. Have a voice in the decision. I think you were everyones pick.” he chuckles
Ok, no pressure then(!) He knocks on the door and then a muffled ‘come in’ comes from the other side. As the door opens, I nervously look in and feel relief when I instantly recognise them. They are all lounging around the room, on chairs and sofas. Most of them are on their phones or talking to one another.
“Guys.” Hongjoong says, quickly standing up as we walk in
The rest of them stop what they are doing and look in my direction, instantly stand up too and say hello. I am in slight disbelief that I am standing in front of Ateez right now, but I bow and say hello back. I can have my freak out later on. For now, professional mode needs to be activated!
“This is Miss Lee.” the man says, “Your new English tutor and official translator.”
This causes a whole introduction from everyone. I listen politely, bowing to each one despite already knowing exactly who they all are. As they finish, the man’s phone rings and he apologises before scuttling back out the door to answer it. I turn to face them all once more, butterflies in my stomach as we are all alone now.
“Please sit down Miss Lee.” Seonghwa says gesturing to one of the armchairs.
“Thank you.” I reply, smiling briefly at him.
The room is silent as everyone sits down again; they are all looking at me. 8 pairs of eyes on me is pretty damn intimidating. I appear to have lost my ability to make conversation too. Part of me was not really sure how to act around them. Other than professional, of course.
“It is nice to finally meet you Miss Lee.” Hongjoong says
“Oh please, call me Luna!” I say without thinking first
Shit, that was a bit too casual, and this is technically a work environment, even if I am not officially a member of staff yet.
“Luna?” Yunho asks, his eyes lighting up. “Like Luna Lovegood?”
“Yes!!” I giggle excitedly
My love for all things Harry Potter was well known to the people who knew me. Luna was one of my favourite characters. It was pure coincidence that we shared the same name. I loved how quirky she was and was not afraid to be herself.
“Well, my birth name is Younha, but I always pronounced it as Luna and the name stuck.” I say.
“So would you prefer us to call you Luna or Younha?” Hongjoong asks
“Oh Luna. If someone said Younha, I probably wouldn’t even realise they were talking to me.” I laugh lightly.
I need to rein myself in a bit. I am talking far too casual for the situation. As I am about to apologise, San suddenly speaks.
“Would you like something to drink? Coffee or a tea? Food?” he asks.
“Oh no, thank you. I am fine.” I smile politely.
Another silence descends. I see that Jongho, Mingi and Yeosang are barely looking at me, San keeps glancing towards Hongjoong, Seonghwa and Yunho are smiling friendly at me and Wooyoung… Well Wooyoung is hard to read, his face is rather blank but his eye contact with me is intense. I clear my throat quietly and look at the floor.
“Sorry, it must be intimidating meeting all 8 of us in one go.” Hongjoong says, “We really wanted to meet you.”
“You are a lot younger than we were expecting.” Yeosang says quietly.
“The profiles the company gave us on candidates did not have ages on them.” Seonghwa explains. He must have seen my confused face.
“Oh, I am sorry. You must want someone, erm older. More experienced.” I say, “I can go if you want.” I add, standing up.
“No!” they suddenly say, making me jump slightly at their loud voices
I say ‘they’ but I don’t think it was all of them, but it was definitely over half of them. All of them are looking at me now, at least.
“I apologise. We can be a little loud at times.” Seonghwa says as I sit back down. I notice he looks at the others with firm eyes. Eyes that are silently communicating with them before they all apologised too. “And no, your age is not an issue. It is just rather surprising.”
“I think I speak for most of us when I say that with your profile, experience and skills we were expecting someone…” Hongjoong says searching for the word
“Old!” Wooyoung laughs, making me giggle quietly at his bluntness.
“Can you really speak all those languages?” Mingi asks
Wow, his voice is really deep in person! I nod in reply, not sure how to answer it.
“That is really impressive!” Yunho chuckles
“How?” San asks with a massive smile on his face
“Which language is your favourite?” Mingi asks
“How old are you?” Wooyoung asks
“Guys, let’s not bombard her with questions! I am sure Miss Lee… Luna has had a long day.” Hongjoong says. “We will all have plenty of time to ask her questions and get to know her as we begin to work together.”
“But…” Wooyoung whines
“Woo.” Seonghwa says firmly, causing him to quieten instantly
There was something rather hot about the way Seonghwa quietened Wooyoung so quickly. Just at that moment, the man from the interview comes back in and says that the guys transport has arrived. This causes them all to stand up and pack up their things. I stand up too, placing myself in a corner so I wasn’t getting in their way.
“So what do you guys think of Miss Lee?” he asks, looking between the guys and myself.
“I think we will get along well.” Hongjoong replies, smiling at me.
Here I am, 3 weeks later. I’ve been officially working with them for 2 weeks. The first week was mainly about getting to know them, and them getting to know me as well. The second week was when the work began. I focused on getting to find out how each member learned so I knew the best approach to teach them. For learning, everyone learns differently. A technique that would work for one person doesn’t necessarily work for someone else.
I felt like I was beginning to understand each of them. Some were quieter than others. Therefore, harder to get to know, Jongho and Yeosang being toughest nuts to crack, but Yeosang was relaxing a bit more around me while Jongho was still very formal and incredibly reserved. I don’t think we have spoken over 20 words to one another yet. So I was at a loss over how to begin teaching him so decided that in the following weeks when the learning would properly begin I would try out techniques and see which one fit him.
There were a lot of hushed conversations in corners whenever I was around and lots of glances in my direction, however. It was to be expected. They are a close-knit band, and I was a new person. Someone they didn’t know or trust yet. That doesn’t mean it didn’t make me feel a bit on the paranoid side though, I wasn’t sure if they liked me. Sure, they were polite enough and respectful towards me, but other than that, they were like a closed book.
Then, 48 hours ago, Hongjoong and Seonghwa asked to have a meeting with me. Honestly, I was scared I was about to be told it wasn’t working, that they didn’t want someone as young as me teaching them, and that I was being let go from the company.
However, the conversation with the 2 eldest members could not have gone differently and that closed book on the band was opened a bit, and a proposition was presented to me. And it goes without saying that I accepted it because here I am now. My own bedroom… in Ateezs shared apartment. As their live-in girlfriend and/or companion? I wasn’t too sure about the full details yet, but personal/romantic relationships with each of the members were the gist of the situation.
How the fuck did this even happen? One thing I knew for sure was things were about to get interesting.

Backburner Accident
One Chapter Two
Stan was used to being pushed to the back, he did his best to never take it to heart, but sometimes, sometimes it really hurt.
Like now.
Watching his two best friends drive away from their shit little home town.
He tried to rationalize and push the pain away, but he knew it wasn’t that easy. It hadn’t been easy to watch people drive away, especially since the last time he did was when Shelly left for college. It was supposed to be a quick drop off, Shelly and Sharon were going together so they could have some girl time.
“Bonding before my little girl leaves me for good.”
Stan didn’t think anything of it, he hugged his mom, got a kiss on the head and had a brief stare off with his sister before she pulled him into a hug, and really that should’ve tipped him off. Shelly and him didn’t have a huggy relationship, more of a ‘I’ll set you on fire for fun, but if someone else does their dead.’ relationship. So to hug him was out of the question, but he just chalked it up to a rare moment of sibling love.
Randy of course ruined the whole goodbye, he was not only half drunk but also extremely high. Instead of a touching father and daughter goodbye he received a kick to the balls when he told her to promote the family weed farm at every party. Stan just signed sadly before telling them to drive safely, waving them off before helping Randy into the house after the van disappeared.
He wasn’t worried until five days passed and he still hadn’t heard from his mom or sister. He called them each multiple times and even went to his dad panicking as Sharon rarely left him without answering the phone. Randy just waved him off mumbling that they were probably just partying it up. It took a couple more nights until Stan broke down and called the Purdue University’s Police departments non-emergency line. Apologizing profusely while explaining that his sister was set to start there that week but he hadn’t heard from her or their mom for over a week since they left.
The cop was very understanding and told Stan that Shelly Marsh had arrived safe. She promised they’d reach out to his sister and have her contact him. Stan thanked her profusely trying to hold back tears knowing his sister was safe. It was three days later when Shelly finally called him. Stan was mad, and wanted to scream at her but he just choked back a sob telling her how worried he’d been. Of everything he was expecting to hear it wasn't his sister sobbing softly.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry Stan. Mom isn’t coming back to South Park, she is sending Randy the divorce papers soon.”
“What about me?”
Shelly’s silence was deafening and soon Stan was crying at the realization his mom was abandoning him with Randy.
“No. No please no don’t please don’t leave me here. Shelly I-please.”
He begged sobbing into the phone as his sister started crying with him. It took a few minutes before they both were silent just sitting and listening to the other try and catch their breath.
“Why?”
“I don’t know, she wouldn’t tell me. She has a house here already, told me she’d stay here until I graduated. After a while she told me to stop asking about you.”
“I’m going to call her, and I won't stop till she answers that damn phone and tells me why.”
“Okay.”
“Keep in contact with me?”
“As if you could ever actually escape me you little turd.”
“Bye Shelly.”
“Bye Stan.”
Stan called and called Sharon until she finally answered, and he didn’t even know what to say. What do you say to your mother, that just abandoned you with your trashcan of a father.
“Stanley, this needs to stop. Stop calling me.” Sharon said the usual warmth and love that her voice held dampened. Stan huffed holding back tears and a few curse words.
“Stop calling? How about you call me and tell me you’re safe? How about you call me and tell me "’hey son sorry but I’m never coming back!’ What the hell is going on mom?”
“I think it's obvious Stanley.” Stan couldn’t hold back the sob anymore as he broke down crying.
“Don’t leave me, please don’t leave me mom I need you.” Sharon sighed on the other end of the phone, tired and disappointed causing Stan to cry more.
“Honestly Stanley, you’re too much like your father. I need to think about me, my mental health. I can't stop myself from leaving when you’re turning out to be just like your father.” Stan felt like everything froze when she uttered those words.
‘Too much like your father.’
Stuck on repeat as he tried to find the words to tell his mom that she was wrong and he was nothing like Randy.
“M-mom please..”
“No Stanley, this is it. I’m done and I’m never coming back to South Park, I left with the only kid that took after me. I’ve already signed away all my parental rights for you to your father. Goodbye Stanley.”
The line went silent and Stan was frozen, tears falling slowly and with shaking hands he quickly redialed her number only to be met with an automated message.
“The caller you are trying to reach is unavailable or has a voicemail box that is not set up, please try again later.”
Stan tried calling Sharon four more times before he gave up and just sat on his bed breaking down completely. Body wracked with sobs he couldn’t stop and he begged to wake up from this new nightmare of his. After a while Randy stood in the doorway drinking a bear and staring out the window.
“So you finally found out?”
Randy offered no words of encouragement as his son was having a breakdown; he just stood there drinking his beer and staring out the window. Stan called down after a few minutes, before he calmly stood up and grabbed his charger, shoving it in his jeans pocket. Randy’s attention finally shifted to his son who walked towards him and out the door down the stairs.
“Finally stopped crying over that bitch? Good, shouldn’t waste your time over someone that can’t see that everything I’ve done has been to better this family. Besides, we don't need her and she obviously doesn’t care, told me she wouldn’t even fight for you or the farm if I gave her an easy divorce. Bet she would’ve fought if she knew about the money I make as Lorde. God what a bitch.”
Stan balled his fist as more tears began to fall, he quickly pulled his jacket on and yanked his hat off the rack. He didn’t put it on as he opened the door and just walked out ignoring Randy calling out wondering where he was going.
The fifthteen minute walk felt like hours as he was stuck alone with his thoughts but in no time he was in front of his Aunt’s house ringing the doorbell. Thomas opened the door and only had to look at him for a second before he yelled for Aunt Laura to hurry from the kitchen. He pulled Stan into the house pulling him into a half hug rubbing his nephews back as he closed the door.
Laura hurried out of the kitchen confusion clear until she saw Stan who was crying full force again.
“Oh Stan sweetheart, what's wrong? What happened, did my stupid brother do something?”
Stan sobbed, his breathing erratic as he tried to form a sentence and only managed to stumble forward, pulling his aunt into a tight hug hiding his face on her shoulder.
“Auntie! Auntie, I-I, shes-moms.” He mumbled out shoulders shaking as he couldn’t get it out. Laura shushed him as she ran her fingers through his hair, one arm wrapped around him rubbing his back.
“It's okay, it's okay. Just breath sweetheart, just breath, I’m right here. Auntie is right here sweetheart and I’ve got you. Just let it out.”
Craig and Tricia peaked out of the kitchen looking at their parents before Craig made the decision to distract his sister.
“Come on Tricia, let's make hot chocolate for everyone. Let mom and dad take care of Stan.”
Laura led Stan over to the couch and sat down with him. She whispered words of comfort as she hugged him tightly and Thomas stood nearby worried for his young nephew and not wanting to leave them alone.
“She's not coming back, Auntie.” He whispered after a while, pulling away and sitting up to look her in the eye. “She said she's done, and I’m too much like Randy so she doesn’t, she doesn’t want me.” Laura’s heartbroke as she accepted a tissue from Thomas gently wiping Stan’s face.
“Oh sweetheart, you after nothing like my idiot brother. The only thing you share with him is your looks, I have watched both of you grow Stan. I promise you, you are nothing like him.” She cupped his face in her hands, rubbing his cheeks softly. “For one Randy is self centered and only thinks of himself, while we can all have our moment of self centeredness, you have done your best to grow past that and think of others. Second at your age my brother was already heavily drinking, and no I’m not stupid I was a teen once too, I know you drink but I also know you only drink at parties. Third Randy is, too state it clearly, fucking stupid and I have seen your report card, its not all A’s but you are very far from dumb.” Stan sniffled softly, reaching up and squeezing her hand with a watery smile.
“Thanks Auntie, it just hurts, she abandoned me with him. What am I going to do?”
“You’re going to prove her wrong, Stan. You are going to go on and graduate high school, then you’ll move on to college and you will prove Sharon that you are not Randy. You are going to live the wonderful life you deserve and she will have to suffer knowing she’ll never be a part of that life again.” Thomas moved forward placing a hand on Stan’s head ruffling his head lovingly.
“And we will be with you every step of the way, because there is no way in hell we are leaving our nephew alone with Randy of all people.” Stan laughed softly looking up at him with a soft smile.
“Thanks Uncle Thomas, I’m sorry I barged in, I just didn’t know where else to go. Uncle Jimbo might’ve known she was leaving and that thought made me not want to go to him.” Laura smiled softly as she stood up, stuffing the tissue into a pocket of her apron. Thomas wrapped an arm around his neck pulling him into a brief hug, as his wife kissed Stan’s forehead. Tricia bounced into the room carrying two cups of hot chocolate, Craig following after her looking annoyed with having to be there.
“Sweetheart, you are always welcome here no matter what. Even if you rob a bank and need a place to hide!” Thomas snorted letting go of him and accepting a hot chocolate from Craig while Tricia headed straight to her favorite cousin.
“Stan! Stan! Craig said you were feeling down so we had to make hot chocolate for you! So I made yours extra special with marshmallows and whipped cream!” She held the cup out to Stan with a bright grin that Stan returned with a warm smile. He accepted the cup before patting the spot besides him.and Tricia eagerly sat next to him.
“Thanks Tricia, this is just what I needed. Thank you too, asshole.” He teased looking at his cousin who rolled his eyes, flipping him off.
“Don’t mention it dumbass, seriously don't, can’t have people thinking I care about you.”

“Sam. Sam! Sam, wake up.”
Sam shook his head, wincing before he opened his eyes. His vision was a little blurry and the room was pretty dark, so it was hard to see.
“Hey, you with me? Sam?”
Sam squinted, trying to clear his vision. After another minute, he could finally make out the figure in front of him.
“Y/N?” he said, recognizing her.
“Oh thank goodness.” She huffed out a laugh. “Almost thought you were dead.”
“What- what are you doing here?”
“I could ask you the same question, but since you hunt monsters for a living, I guess I already know the answer.”
“Y/N, you need to get out of here. Okay? You need to listen to me. Please, you have to hide. You’re not safe here.”
“You’re in no position to tell me what to do, Sam.” She glared at him. “Now shut up if you want to get out of here alive.”
She started untying him, struggling a little with the knots before simply cutting them. She helped Sam to his feet.
“Can you walk?” she asked.
Sam took a moment to balance himself before nodding.
“Yeah, I’m good.”
“Good. Then we need to move.”
The two hurried through the abandoned building. Sam kept looking behind them, making sure they weren’t being followed. They made it outside without incident, which only put Sam more on edge.
“This way,” Y/N said. “My car is around the corner.”
“Hey!”
Sam turned when he heard Dean’s voice. He turned, smiling in relief when he saw Dean jogging toward them.
“Dean,” he said. He stepped forward and hugged his brother. “Good to see you, man.”
“You too, Sammy.” He looked at Y/N. “I see you got him out.”
“Said I would.”
“Well I really appreciate it.”
“Of course.”
She stuck out her hand, smiling. Dean smiled back and grabbed her hand. He suddenly let out a shout of pain. Before Sam knew what happened, there was a silver knife in Dean’s heart.
“Dean!” he shouted as his brother crumbled to the ground.
Sam went to help his brother, but Y/N pulled him back.
“No, Sam,” she said.
“He’s my brother! You just stabbed my brother, Y/N!”
“That’s not your brother!” She lifted her hand. “I wear a silver ring. There was a shifter in town, remember? Dean is fine.”
“Where is he?”
Y/N pulled out her phone and dialed a number. She put it on speaker, letting it ring as Sam glanced between her and the dead body on the ground. They heard the line get picked up during the second ring.
“Did you find him?”
“Dean?”
“Sammy, thank god. You okay?”
“Yeah, I’m okay. Are you?”
“I’m fine. Did you get the shifter?”
“He’s dead,” Y/N said. “Tried posing as you after I got Sam out. We’ll be back in fifteen minutes.”
“Okay. I’m glad you’re okay, Sammy.”
“Me too, Dean. See you soon.”
Y/N hung up and put her phone away.
“Are we good?” she asked. Sam nodded. “Then help me deal with the body.”
Once the shifter was taken care of, Sam and Y/N were in her car, driving down the road. Neither said a word. Sam wasn’t sure what to say. He hadn’t seen Y/N in years - not since he was just out of college and hunting with Dean again. The two had gone to Stanford together and had been great friends. But once he was off hunting for the demon that killed Jess, the two lost contact.
“How did you know?”
“Know what?” Y/N asked.
“About the shifter?”
“I hunt,” she said, “if that wasn’t already obvious. After you left Stanford, I went to Bobby’s place after graduation and studied with him for a bit.”
“Bobby? After all this time-? Why didn’t he say anything?”
“Because I asked him not to.”
“Were you ever going to say anything?”
“Were you?” she countered. She shot a glare at him. “Right after everything with Jess then Zach, you dropped off the face of the earth. Never a phone call, an email, a letter from you. You could have died at any point and I would have never known.”
“Y/N, I’m sorry, okay. I didn’t mean to hurt you, I just-”
“If you say ‘protect you’, I’m going to lose it, Sam. And I don’t want your apology.”
“Then I don’t know what to say. I couldn’t just sit by and let these monsters get away with killing innocent people.”
“And after knowing the truth, neither could I.”
She pulled into the motel parking lot, quickly parking the car. As they got out, she threw a coat at Sam so he could hide the blood on his clothes. They went up a nearby flight of stairs, going up to the second floor. Y/N knocked on a nearby door. A minute later, it opened to reveal Dean. Y/N slipped inside while the brothers reunited.
“I’m glad you’re okay, Sammy,” Dean said once the door was shut.
“Same for you,” Sam replied, smiling. He noticed a cut on Dean’s forehead, which was already treated and had a small patch over it. “What happened?”
“Once we confirmed there was a shifter, we figured it was going to try and come for one of us,” Y/N said, not looking at the Winchesters as she got a drink of water from the built-in kitchen. “It had already posed as you, so we wanted to be prepared. I hit Dean in the head then busted my lip. If either of us saw the other without an injury, it was a clue to the shifter. My ring only confirmed it when we met up with fake-Dean after getting you out.”
Dean glanced over his shoulder at Y/N, who was throwing her things onto the nearby couch.
“You went to school with her?” he asked. Sam nodded. “She’s pretty badass.”
Tumblr media
Sam stepped out of the bathroom, glad to be clean. His hair was still damp, but he wasn’t terribly bothered by it. He glanced around the room. Dean was out, snoring lightly in his own bed. Y/N on the other hand was seated on the pull out couch, glasses on her face as she looked at her computer screen, papers and notebooks scattered around her.
“Everything okay?” he asked.
She glanced at him briefly.
“Yeah. Just finishing an assignment for a class.”
“You’re still in school?” He was surprised.
“Only one class at a time. I found some online classes that teach ancient lore and Latin, so I’m working my way through those. It’s actually come in handy a couple of times.”
“Sounds like it.”
He sat down at the small desk next to the couch instead of getting ready for bed. Y/N stopped her work to look at him.
“What?” she asked.
“I’m sorry.”
“What did I say earlier?”
“I know you don’t want to hear it, but I need to say it, okay? I shouldn’t have left things the way I did. I hurt you and I didn’t mean to. I never wanted you to get brought into this life.”
“Jess and Zach were my friends too, Sam. I deserved to know the truth.”
“And now your life is a mess because of it.”
Y/N sighed. She pulled her glasses off, setting them down as she ran her hands over her face.
“Listen, I really don’t have the energy to talk right now,” she said. “It’s late, I’m exhausted, and I want to get this work done.”
Sam swallowed and nodded. He stood up and went to the extra bed. He tossed a short glance toward Y/N, who had resumed her work. She let out a deep sigh, one he recognized from their school days. He could tell she was tired and stressed. With his own small sigh, he laid his head on his pillow and shut his eyes.
Tumblr media
Sam was practically out of the car before Dean had even parked it. He hurried to the front door, pushing it open.
“Bobby?” he called. The older hunter stepped out of the kitchen. “Where is she?”
“Out back.”
Sam nodded, swallowing. He took a moment to compose himself before going to the back door. As he stepped outside, he could hear Dean and Bobby talking quietly. Sam walked down the steps, scanning the scrap yard. He looked to his right when he heard music coming from a nearby radio. Luckily he didn’t have to walk too far. He smiled slightly when he saw that Y/N was under the car, tools scattered around her.
The closer he got, the more he knew that she wasn’t going to hear him. He went to her radio and turned it down. He heard her huff.
“Bobby, turn that back up. I’m not in the mood to talk.”
“Good thing I’m not Bobby then, huh?”
He saw her freeze before slowly rolling out from under the car. Her clothes, hands, and face were covered with dirt, which made him smile a little more. Y/N sighed when she looked at him. She got to her feet and grabbed a nearby rag, wiping herself off.
“I’m guessing Bobby told you I was here?” she asked. Sam nodded, which made her sigh. She glanced toward the house then at Sam. “So what are you doing here?”
“You disappeared on us. You left a news article behind, and we thought that’s where you had gone to work on another case, but you weren’t there. We didn’t know where you went and you weren’t answering your phone.”
“What made you think I wanted to be found?”
“If that were true, then I’m guessing you probably wouldn’t have come here.”
Y/N looked down.
“Bobby has always been a go-to place for me.”
“Always?”
She nodded.
“I’ve been hunting since I was a sophomore in high school,” she said. “Things were happening in town and I did my research on this horrible accident years before. Turns out the ghost was recreating the scene. Just couldn’t figure out how to get rid of it. That’s when Bobby came to town. He let me work with him. After that, he taught me how to hunt. I took a little break to go to Stanford, but was primarily doing research for other hunters or for Bobby. When I met you, I didn’t know you were a hunter. At least not right away. And then…”
Her voice trailed off, but Sam knew where her thoughts were going.
“Then Jess died.”
“Yeah. I figured out pretty soon after that it was a demon that killed her. I talked to Bobby, but he convinced me to stay away from it, that there were already hunters looking into it.” She looked at Sam. “He told me that it was your family that was after it. And I was so scared, Sam. I saw what that thing did to your apartment. The fact that Bobby was telling me to stay out told me this thing was dangerous. I wanted to call you, to check on you and see where you were, to offer my help… but I couldn’t reach you. And I just… I wasn’t ready to say goodbye.”
Sam stepped forward and wrapped his arms around her. She practically disappeared into him, but she held him just as tight, burying her face into his chest.
“I’m so sorry, Y/N,” he whispered.
“It’s not your fault,” she said back. “Neither of us knew.”
Sam pulled back just enough to look down at her.
“You know, we could use your help. The three of us, we could hunt together,” he said. “I’m sure Dean wouldn’t mind an extra passenger.”
“You’re not gonna pull any disappearing crap, will you? Because know that if you do, I’m going to hunt you down, Sam Winchester.”
Sam smiled.
“If I do, it’s not on my free will.”
Y/N shook her head, smiling.
“You’re sure your brother won’t mind?”
“Say yes!” The two broke apart to see Bobby and Dean standing on the back porch. Bobby was smirking and Dean had a grin on his face. “I could use another person around to bug Sam and tell me embarrassing college stories.”
Sam groaned, which made Y/N laugh.
“I promise I won’t share anything too embarrassing, Sam,” she said, bumping his arm. “As long as you tell me some stories about Dean too.”
“Deal.”

☆ [nostalgic] summer romance! younghoon had to do something for his late bday because i adore him others: juyeon
the disappointed look jacob gives you as he pulls into the parking lot beside your school is that of a parent, deflated with the rowdy actions of their only child
you hold your physics textbook in your lap in the passenger seat and try to smile at him as some sort of compensation
kevin chuckles from the backseat
"can't believe you're stuck in summer school the year before you graduate."
"shutup kevin the only reason you passed physics is because jacob lives down the street from you and let you copy all his old notes. otherwise, you'd be in there with me."
kevin shrugs and motions for you to get out of the car, you stick your tongue out and thank jacob for the ride
"waterparks gonna suck without you."
he says before he rolls up the window
you groan and mutter a "don't remind me about the waterpark dude" before turning to head inside
the room is barely air-conditioned and your summer physics teacher is some old lady who tells you all to read for the next hour and do the exercises on page one hundred and three
she then puts on an ancient pair of headphones and seemingly tunes you and the other summer school students out indefinitely
she doesn't even notice when the door opens half an hour later and in the frame is the tall, almost infuriatingly handsome figure of kim younghoon
you blink back in surprise - i thought he was a pretty good student?
younghoon notices you too, smiling as he passes your desk to sit in the one behind you
you look down at your textbook and suddenly don't know the weird feeling that washes you over
the room is pretty empty, he could sit anywhere else....
five minutes later, you feel a gentle tap on your shoulder
you turn and younghoon smiles again - his teeth are blindingly white and he doesn't have one acne scar on his pretty face
"do you know if the teacher took attendance?"
you shake your head, "she's basically been comatose since i got here."
he chuckles softly enough that just the two of you hear it
"got it. so we'll just be sitting here in silence for two hours?"
"looks like it."
he takes a pause and looks at you as if he has something else to ask, but it doesn't come out
the first day then drags its feet until finally it's over and you drop your worksheet off on the desk
the teacher mutters that the homework for tomorrow is the next chapter and you give the fakest smile you can muster before trying to beeline for the door
before you can leave though, younghoon calls out your name and you turn to see him standing in the empty hallway
"if i need help with the homework - can i text you?"
you reluctantly make your way back toward him, you take your phone out and hand it to him
"sure, add yourself to my contacts. god this summer is gonna be so boring."
younghoon takes a moment before handing you back your phone, he nods in agreement
"at least we'll suffer together."
you don't think much of it when he says it - actually you don't think about it at all
the only reason it finds its way back into your head is because later that night your phone vibrates and it says you have a text from 'hoon [seven different flower emojis]'
younghoon?
you open it and see that's a long message whining about the confusing chapter you were assigned. you giggle because you've been whining to yourself while reading it too
but as you start to type out a reply you wonder.........
'at least we'll suffer together'.........we barely even know each other? is it really normal to say that - what about being together with a stranger makes summer school of all things better?
your hand hovers over the send button - you close your phone instead and go back to reading, forgetting about the text and falling over yourself in physics terms you should have remembered when you first were taking the class
the next morning, jacob doesn't drive you to school - you walk there and bump into younghoon whose on his way over too
he somehow manages to look tall and unaffected by the sweltering heat
he waves at you with another one of those priceless smiles
"did you do the homework?"
he asks as you fall into step with each other
"barely - i had to look at cobi's old notes."
"cobi?" younghoon tilts his head and you explain that it's a nickname for jacob
something on younghoon's face is confusing, it's like there's a twinge of sadness but you assume it's just a reflex squint to the glowing sun
"you didn't text me back - so i thought you might have given up on it!"
he laughs slightly and you clasp your hand over your mouth
"oh right! sorry - i must have spaced out and didn't hit send. but i totally agree - fluid mechanics could put anyone to sleep."
before you realize it you and younghoon are in the classroom again, sitting in the same seats
you're early so the teacher isn't there yet and younghoon flips to a page from the chapter to ask you if you know what its talking about
you explain what you think it means (from the information you got from jacob's old notes)
and the entire time you're maybe inches away from each other
when you aren't actively thinking about it, it's fine - but then your hands brush and suddenly it dawns on you and you sit back in your seat suddenly
younghoon senses the shift and opens his mouth to say something when the door swings open and a monotone voice tells you to open up to page one hundred and fifty-seven
like what younghoon said and his text, you soon forget about the momentary skinship
your brain starts to melt of boredom as the class drags on and you get past a note from younghoon when the teacher isn't looking
'do you know the answer for problem #3?'
'it's 23.56 m/s'
'woah you're so smart'
'more like the person who used this textbook before me wrote the equation on the page'
'lucky - let's trade textbooks?'
'in your dreams :P'
another long day comes to an end and you wave a goodbye to younghoon, he smiles and waves back and adds a - "reply to my text this time, ok?"
you nod and only again do you think about what he says when you're home and thinking straight under the graciousness of your AC
does that mean he's going to text me?
and like yesterday, younghoon does text you complaining about the reading
you answer and a conversation that comes almost way too easily starts
this cycle starts anew the next day, and the day after that, until at some point you realize you are forming a sort of summer friendship with kim younghoon
and that's normal - that's fine
but there are moments where you look up at him when you're paired together for a makeshift lab or when you've agreed to stay behind some extra hours to study
that you see younghoon in all this detail up close and he's undeniably handsome but also you see something more
for all the years you've been in the same school together, passed each other at parties, probably even stood together at assemblies
you've taken him at complete face value. perfect proportions, always someones crush, the pretty and popular boy who somehow hasn't added complete selfish jerk to that title as well
he's just - kim younghoon - untouchable, out of anyone's league
and now he's more real.
you see the mole on his neck, the way his eyes crinkle when he finds something really funny, the pickiness of his eating habits and how he can't hold a pen properly with his left hand.
they're things that make him human and they're things that you can't help but notice because like anyone, you are instantly attracted to younghoon
it's just crazy that beyond that face there's a boy who you could easily see yourself falling for
of course, you end the thoughts right there.
even though sometimes, you get a weird kind of feeling that younghoon is noticing something about you too.
it really starts to eat at you after you guys are at the halfway point of summer classes - and you have your first test.
you're both panicking about it, because if you don't pass this one - you probably won't pass the final - which means physics again when autumn comes around
so you and younghoon have been spending a lot of time in the library after class with your textbooks, snacks, and jacob's old notes
of course you're both grinding, but distractions happen and you end up taking a break to toss candy into his mouth and doodle cartoons of your boring teacher in the margins of your notes
giggling like maniacs over the inside jokes about class and school you've both come up with, getting scolded by the ancient librarian if you're just a little too loud about it
and then younghoon asks you: "do you have plans after the test?"
you huff and cross your arms
"yeah, to go home and curl up on my bed and forget it ever happened."
he chuckles, puts his hand on his neck and then pauses - what you think is a light pinkness starts to dust his skin
"same, but if you want instead i though-"
your phone goes off just as the words string together - you pick it up and try to wave an apology to the librarian who rolls her eyes at you
with a whisper you turn your head to answer
"what? jacob? what - no i don't know where kevin is i thought he'd be with you."
younghoon's lips thin out and you barely react as you duck under the table you're studying at to keep your voice low
you finish the call and come back up with a sigh
"what were you saying by the way?"
younghoon shakes his head
"nothing, is kevin ok?"
you get back in your seat and you don't want to comment on the weird thin blanket of tension that seems to undertone the question
"he's fine, jacob will find him over at eric's or something."
you look at younghoon and he doesn't return your gaze, he's pushed his chair in closer to the table and picked up his pen
you do the same and try to break whatever this weirdness is
"should we go over chapter five again?"
that moment replays in your head for almost a week straight, it almost distracts you during the test but thankfully you and younghoon both pass
you flaunt your 84 versus his 82 but the happiness of it seems to wash away any excess awkwardness from before
at least for him, for you - you somehow can't stop analyzing it in your head
to make matters worse, more pocket-sized interactions like this start to pop up
younghoon is always seemingly on the verge of asking you to hang out with him outside of class but he never really does
something always stops him
and you kind of start to wish he just would, or if the question that's always on the tip of his tongue isn't that - then you really want to know what it is
you overthink and it frustrates you more than you admit, but at the same time younghoon had been right when summer started
the fact that you have each other to suffer together actually doesn't make this whole thing worse than it originally was going to be
the only reason you're having a tolerable summer is because of him
you don't want to ruin it by prying him with questions
wanting to know if he wants something more than just a physics class-based friendship
because it gets to a point where you don't know what to do, you ask your best friends
when you explain that you and younghoon just click - and it seems like he might want to be around you more, the way you want to be around him -
jacob and kevin give you the same look
jaocb's just nicer when he says "why don't you ask him to hang out first?"
while kevin just laughs and calls you a big dummy - popular pretty boy or not, that's crushing behavior you're describing
you think about it
what's stopping me from asking him first? seriously - am i going to be that person who needs to wait around for prince charming to pull the first move?
so you decide you will, it takes jacob giving you a pep talk before you go into class the next day but you are resiliant
and when younghoon comes through the door - you stand up
"oh, a standing ovation did i do something right?"
he jokes and you have to tell yourself not to focus on how cute he is and get straight to the point
"do you want to hang out after class?"
younghoon's bag drops from his hands and you both kind of startle at the noise
oh shit. here it comes. the big 'oh i hope you don't think this is something more than it is....' line
"oh - i - sure, i mean i saw jacob's car in the parking lot is he not gonna pick you up later?"
you blink in confusion
"no, why would jacob come pick me up?"
younghoon and you have a moment of complete silence and then
"you're dating him, right?"
you're pretty sure you let out a sound that's a mixture of a little yell and an attempt at a laugh
it's embarrassing and before you can backtrack it, the door opens and the teacher snaps her fingers for you and younghoon to sit
as you do - you realize your entire body has gone kind of numb
is that the reason he's been dancing around me this summer, because of jacob?!?!?!
you turn before the teacher can even write the pages to work on on the board
"no!"
you exclaim and younghoon blinks those big, brown pretty eyes at you
"i am definitely not dating jacob bae!"
a sense of relief seems to wash over his face, but you can't even enjoy the way he looks happy because the teacher clears her throat
"the matter of who you are or are not dating is not the topic of this class - physics is. so pay. attention."
you nod, looking down at your textbook as the other students snicker to themselves
halfway through the class younghoon passes you a note
'how about we go see a movie or something?'
your first date goes well.
actually it goes really really well because it turns out younghoon is scared of horror movies and you're not and when he nearly jumps into your arms with fear you just laugh and hold him close
by the time it ends he's got his head completely in your neck and you have your arms wrapped around his waist
it's actually insane how comfortable you two are with touching each other despite the fact that all of summer you would knock knees and it would set both of you into a state of petrification
and when you text your gc after, jacob sends a thousand loving emojis
and kevin replies with: but is he a good kisser tho?
turns out he is, although he kisses with a shyness that is unexpected considering how loud and fun he can get around you
he lets you take the lead, which is nice, and when you kiss him right on the jawline he inhales sharply and you figure out the part of kim younghoon that gets him all worked up
a secret you're sure the rest of the student body will be jealous of you for knowing
the summer goes from tolerable to magical in the snap of a second
your classes finish, you and younghoon both pass the final and celebrate with ice-cream and a trip to the amusement park
you end up on the ferris wheel and younghoon sheepishly admits he had always been a little sad thinking about how you were doing these fun things with jacob and not with him
and you scrunch your nose up and tell him the last time you and jacob were on a ferris wheel together you were comforting kevin for his random fear of heights
speaking of moonbae, they both really like you and younghoon together
jacob thinks he's a mannered young man and kevin is just like soooooo you're nice enough to put up with them (you) you must be a saint
the four of you finally get to go to that water park you missed out on in the beginning and while you and younghoon are holding hands on the lazy river sharing little cute kisses
kevin is splashing jacob to a point where the lifeguard on duty has to intervene
younghoon still sometimes dances around what he actually wants to say or do - and so you coax it out of him with the threat of complimenting him
which you learn is your greatest weapon, you call him pretty and it's practically game over
but seriously he just tucks you into his arms and mumbles something and you're like hmmm and he's like mumbling and you're like younghoon words or i will list the top five things i like about you and he's like
"oK i just wanted to ask if you wanted to stay over........."
you do :) and when you take the liberty of stealing a big flannel of his younghoon hides his face in his hands for like ten minutes straight
before autumn finally comes around for good - you and younghoon talk about how you both flunked physics
you explain that you just did not put the effort in at all and skipped more times than you could count, but younghoon just says he thinks he just messed up pretty bad on the final
"why did you do bad on the final?"
he looks away and you scoot closer, "younghoon?"
"well remember how we all took the final with our seats switched ..... the teacher put me next to you and it was distracting...."
"no way - are you saying im the reason you were in summer school?!?!"
you sit up and younghoon does too with a laugh
"maybe - but it was worth it. i got to spend a whole summer with you."
years down the line you still bring the story up as a fun meet-cute
everyone thinks younghoon is 100% joking, there's no way he failed a final because he was sitting next to his crush
but younghoon swears it's the reason why - he's sure if he could find his original test paper he could show everyone that where he was supposed to have written out the equation he just wrote your name down ten times
jacob accuses him one day for flunking it on purpose since he probably knew you were going to end up in summer school
you turn to your fiancee and ask him is that true, did he really fail it on purpose to spend more time with you?
younghoon's ears turn pink and the whole room erupts into laughter
"younghoon, why would you do that!"
you push him gently, your hand on his chest with the glittering band he gifted you
he shrugs back with a big smile
"i really really really liked you - and hey, it worked out didn't it?"

Since people actually liked it here's the continuation of the modern Xiao camgirl!darling post I cut from the original, as promised, most if it's under a cut. Here’s the original post. I didn’t think people would actually like the camgirl concept so I thought I was rambling too much and cut this part out lol but here it is now!
Tws: derogatory language/female slurs, mentions of reader being a cheater, reader is promiscuous, murder, incel-y mentality (our modern boy would be a 4chan user, look me in the eye and tell me I'm wrong) and mentions of upsetting realistic things, this one's darker than the first part. If you're bothered by other modern stuff for being too realistic best avoid this too probably, involuntary pornography ---------- Coming up on one year since you gained your most loyal subscriber, you get a rather... Unsettling request. He has something he would like this month, in fact, he adds a few hundred to the regular amount (he's been saving up just for this) and asks for just the answer to one simple question. What's your name?
Your real name, he clarifies. He doesn't need a last name, nothing like that. It would just... Make him feel closer to you. He avoids using the term "anniversary," even though that's what comes to mind. He also doesn't tell you that he already knows, that this is just a test of your honesty. For someone who's so cautious, you would think you would think to give a fake name whenever you go to coffee shops for them to yell out, or change it on the packages you get. You hesitate. And it would be easy to give him a fake one, yet, you don't really think about it too much, you kinda think about that as an afterthought, what you should have done, but your very real name is typed out and sent before you really process it, and you feel a sort of unease, but it's already sent. No big deal. He can't do much with just your first name, right? If your name is common, you feel pretty safe, but even if it's a rarer one, surely there are other people with it, right? He's happy though. Kinda surprised, really, that you didn't lie to him. Maybe you trust him?
You're not stupid, you know something is wrong, you're becoming paranoid. And you connect the weird feeling to him, bc he goes radio silence for several days leading up to finally taking you. This dude who used to respond to any messages you sent within 10 seconds suddenly... It's like he disappeared? He hasn't responded to anything you send him ever since you said your name. You send him messages saying you haven't heard from him in a while and you're worried... The way you word it makes it sound like you're worried about him, but you both know that's not what you really mean. You're hesitant and suspicious of every guy you meet. You buy pepper spray and start carrying some around, you nearly spray a poor guy who you thought was trailing you, turns out he just lives in your building. He makes note of it. He watched you buy it, and is quick to realize you always hold it in the same hand. That must be your dominant hand, that's an important mental note for the future, since you're more likely to try to attack him with that hand. He'll remember. He has a note in his phone with information like that. Height, weight, birthday, social security number, parents' names, school she graduated from. All in little bullet points. He adds dominant hand to the list. He's not worried at all really. Already watched you struggle to carry packages he could lift with one hand, your strength doesn't cross his mind as a threat. At first he just doesn't know what to say, and that's why he stops responding, he feels too awkward but... He starts to enjoy the weird feeling of power the whole situation is giving him. You're worried, you're constantly paranoid, and it's because of him. Now you finally understand the same feeling you inflict on him, how you consume his thoughts every waking moment of every day. It used to irritate him that you held so much power over him, while he meant nothing to you. Now, the tables have turned. You're forced to have him constantly in your mind, whether you like it or not, just like you are in his. It's giving you what you deserve. It gives him a feeling of significance. He matters, even if it's not in a good way. And he keeps telling himself that once he's all you have, he'll matter even more. He's smart enough to realize that if you're paranoid, you might have mentioned him by username to someone else, so to ensure he knows what to do from this point, he has to sneak into your apartment at night as you sleep. It's so unbearably tempting, you have no idea -- you're right there and so vulnerable. He has to hold himself back because he knows that if he so much as touched you, he couldn't hold back. But it's torture, standing there so close, watching your chest rise and fall as he fiddles with the phone. Even when he unlocks it with your thumb, he tries to hold the phone from an angle to do so, even if the skin of his hand grazes yours, it would be too much. You have a lot of contacts across your messages and a bunch of different apps. You have one guy in your online chat you've exchanged far more messages with than anyone else! Hundreds upon hundreds of messages, and huge paypal cash drops, who the hell is -- oh, wait, that's him. Nevermind. But, to his pleasant surprise, he's the only one of your... customers that you regularly talk to, the rest just have a few paypal notifications or clarifications on your policies, but no actual conversations like you have with him. Of course, that's literally part of your deal, he's literally paying for it, but it makes him happy nonetheless. But as he goes through your personal messages, he finds that you are... in no shortage of options. Like, holy shit. It was kind of expected. You *are* really pretty, that's how you have so many followers after all, but this is a lot. So many contacts named some variation of "DO NOT ANSWER!!!" or "creepy guy that forced me to give him my number at the club", etc etc. Plenty of unsaved numbers texting you to never get a response. You've ghosted enough dudes to make your place haunted. It's... kinda awful, really. It also kinda hurts his heart a bit more than he expected. You have so, so, so many options, even without the cam thing, he's more insignificant than he even realized. ...Well, for now, at least. He'll be significant to you soon enough. And then you seem to have a sort of "boyfriend of the month" deal going on, aside from that. Plenty of male-name contacts whose last exchange is a "don't talk to me again!" message from you, plenty of messages corresponding to the same time as those to your girl friends about how you can't find a good guy and every relationship ends badly. How unfortunate. See, it's because you choose bad guys. You probably go for dicks and not.... well, he can't exactly pull the "nice guys like me" mentality, he doesn't delude himself into thinking he is one. He's lucid enough to realize that most nice guys would not be sneaking into your house and standing over your sleeping body to stalk your phone as they make plans to kidnap you. He knows he would probably fall under the classification of a creepy guy. He's just too far gone to care. Still, he would be so much better to you, he tells himself, not a cheater or a player like you complain about. To say he resents those kinds of guys -- ones that can do the unthinkable and actually talk to girls, let alone successfully, only to be assholes, and yet girls like you still go for them -- is an understatement. You're basically just a slut, you probably ignore all the guys that would be nice to you, just like all those internet forums he reads talk about. Typical.
Well, those forums also make fun of guys like him who pay for girls like you, but he can't blame them. It *is* kinda pathetic. There is one dude you talk to, though, now. Current boyfriend of the month, from the looks of it. You have a little heart emoji next to the name. He knows it's kinda pathetic that something so simple and insignificant sets him off, but it does, makes him pout and grind his teeth and curl his other hand into a fist. It's so unfair. Some dude you barely know gets to fuck you, and you haven't even known him nearly as long as you've known him! He doubts this dude -- hell, any of your boyfriends -- has put in the same amount of money that he has into you. They fuck you practically for free. And that, unfortunately for you, only solidifies his decision. If you're fucking some dude for a month because they buy you dinner every now and then, if we're going by that scale, then you owe him quite a good deal of pussy. Any hesitancy or guilt he had about the whole thing is gone. And he's a little mad. Keeps grumbling to himself that you're just a loose whore, fucking so many people and putting yourself out there on the internet. He wonders if they even know about what you do. Probably not, you probably don't tell them. Yeah, that sounds like what you'd do. Really, you're kinda lucky that someone like him is so willing to commit to you, since you are a slut. You don't deserve it, but he loves you anyway. And you'll probably have the nerve to be ungrateful for it too. Sigh. On the bright side, by some miracle, it would appear that you have not told any real-life people about him, you haven't sent out any hey if I disappear you should probably look into this creep type of messages. But he can't afford to have you doing so in between now and when you move in with him, so, he decides he has to act within the next 24 hours. While he's here, though, he decides to do a quick sweep of your place. Makes note of what snacks and drinks you like, what brand of toothpaste and shampoo and the like you use, so he can buy some for you. Maybe you'll adjust better if you have some of your favorite things. And then, after days of silence, he sends you a message, says it's fine, his internet went out for a few days. He means it to reassure you, but somehow it makes you feel more uneasy. He has everything planned out, or so he thinks. But you deviate from your usual schedule. When you leave work or class, you don't go home, you go somewhere else, first. How strange. Maybe picking up groceries? He follows from a distance. No, looks like you're going out to eat...? Maybe you're meeting friends or family or -- no that's a guy. Fuck. You must have planned this just earlier today, since there were no messages on your phone. It makes a bitter feeling rise in his gut. He hates that he can't get close enough to listen to your conversation. Well, he hates the whole thing, sits there and seethes the whole time. Watches you through the windows in the parking lot, thankfully you chose to sit outside. Feels his eye twitch and his hand clench every time you smile and laugh. It takes way too long. The fact that you split the bill feels like a punch to the stomach too. Shouldn't you be used to taking guys' money? Oh, and what's this...? This guy isn't the picture on boyfriend-of-the-month's contact. Well, well, well. You really are a whore. See, it's a very good thing he's taking you off the market. You're probably a reckless heartbreaker too. He's doing all the other men of the world a favor by taking on such a burden as you. And it makes him feel far more justified in keeping you locked away, since he has every reason to believe, now, that you'd run off and fuck someone else if given the chance. Halfway through, the guy briefly gets up and runs to the bathroom or something. While he's gone, he sees your face fall a bit. And then he sees you look around. You turn your head from one side to the other. Your eyes scan the area. You shuffle uncomfortably and you bite your lip and your eyebrows furrow. You're scared. You feel like -- no, you know you're being watched and it scares you. That makes him a little happy, for some reason. He wouldn't be sure what to do if you went home with the guy, but thankfully you don't. No big deal, this was just a bump in the road, he still beats you back to your building and he still goes through with the original plan. Even better, now that it's even darker outside. If anything, now he's got extra aggression and testosterone in his blood, running over the events in his head and going through some... very forceful and violent fantasies. The message he sent had you uneasy, and it's also how you immediately know what's going on when it does finally happen. You keep telling yourself you're being unnecessarily paranoid, that it's nothing, maybe that guy actually got his life together or got a girlfriend or something. Things like... What you fear, don't happen in real life, that's stuff that only happens in movies and stuff. You keep calling it that or it in your head. That won't happen to you. It's not going to happen. The series of events that play out in your head, scenarios you try to push out of your mind. Sure, in the movies it always takes place in the stairwell, but that's fiction, so you go up the apartment stairwell as always. You're not gonna let a bunch of B-grade old films scare you. And it's always some dude standing and waiting, but that nice young boy that you've never seen before is just leaning against the wall, scrolling on his phone, he only glances up for a second as you pass by, he's not a threat, you're being paranoid. You flash a smile and a little wave as you walk by, he doesn't return either, just looks back down at his phone. See? This guy doesn't even care, you're being paranoid for nothing, you tell yourself. But as you make the turn to go up the next set of stairs you hear the click of a phone being put on the lockscreen, a few metallic footsteps ringing out in the open hall and echoing, coming up right behind you, but for that split second you expect a tap on the shoulder, maybe he has a question, it's not like movies, it's not like movies, you're not gonna get a cloth shoved over your face and--- Well, it's not exactly like the movies. You were prepared, but it all happens in one motion - one hand grabs the hand with the spray and twists it, making you drop it, the other wraps some material over your mouth. You were prepared enough that you don't gasp in surprise, you hold your breath and thrash, but it doesn't make any difference, you wiggle and writhe for a few moments but can't even begin to break free, eventually succumb to the lack of oxygen and take a deep breath. It takes a few seconds to settle in, it's not so immediate. You instinctively panic and thrash again, but he has a complete iron grip. The dizziness takes a second to set in. He huffs a bit in frustration and says stop moving, it's fine. It's definitely not, but it occurs to you that that's not something a kidnapper looking for any potential vulnerable girl says. It's a poor attempt at comfort. It's someone specifically looking for you. And if that wasn't enough, he says your name. Your very real name. Maybe it was a mistake to tell him after all. But the worst part of it all is that there's not a single doubt in your mind, even in your panic you have the realization, it's definitely him and this is literally exactly what you were afraid of. And it's the last thing that goes through your head. And once he's got you out cold he just takes a sigh of relief. He may have been very neutral faced to you, but in reality he was incredibly nervous. He hasn't exactly made or used chloroform before, our boy is operating on YouTube tutorials here. He's got adrenaline pumping through his veins and carries you with his arms trembling. He's on autopilot carrying you out, but his mind is also consumed by holy fuck I'm touching her she smells so nice she's so warm her face is so close I'm actually touching her-- you get the idea. He feels bad about taping your hands and feet together and putting you in the trunk of his car, kinda. It feels too much like what a really bad person would do to a girl they didn't care about, like he's a trafficker or a murderer or a criminal or something, but that's not true at all. Sure, he's still mad at you for being a whore and all that, but it feels improper, he just has no choice. It's late at night, but he can't risk getting pulled or being at a stoplight and someone seeing an unconscious girl in his backseat, so, trunk it is. But once he's home, to his tiny little downtown apartment (he'll probably be able to move into a better place soon, since he's not paying you tons of money anymore), he takes a quick check to make sure the coast is clear, and drags you out, up the stairs, all the way into his apartment, sets you down on the bed, where you'll be staying. He even washed the sheets and cleaned the place up a bit for your arrival. You probably would not like to see what this place looked like before the five trash bags worth of cleaning was done. He'll probably be more motivated in the future, though, since now he won't be so depressed all the time. And then the adrenaline of the fear of being seen is over, and that's when it sets in that this is real. It's very, very hard to hold back. You're real, in the flesh, he can reach out and touch you with his hands! It feels like a dream. And he realizes he can take this opportunity to do things he would be far, far too embarrassed to do when you're awake. He takes a few minutes to do just that, cautiously reaches out to poke your face, and then run a hand down your neck, your skin is so soft! Your hair smells so nice, he lays down beside you and runs his fingers over it. Puts hands on your body and just lays there in awe of the fact that you're real. He's pretty certain he's never actually touched a human female before now. Everything about you feels soft. Weirdly feminine, which is something very foreign and confusing to him. And he kinda uh... Loses it. Goes buckwild with just taking in every aspect of you. Again, since you're unconscious he can be gross and entirely shameless about it. Peels your clothes off and runs his hands and mouth over every inch of flesh, takes the tape off your lips and presses his tongue into your limp mouth until he's forced to let go to breathe, fingers you and tonguefucks you and sucks on your nipples and your neck. Lays pressed against you and just breathes in your scent. It takes every ounce of self control he has not to fuck you already. But he does jerk off a few times. That way he'll last longer, so it's a win-win. And then... you twitch. Tape goes back over your mouth. And then, you twitch again. And this time, you make a little "mm!" under the tape, you start trembling and he sees you try to pull your hands apart. You whimper. It sounds scared and distressed. He feels kinda bad, but it also makes him hard, and that outweighs any guilt by far. Besides, it's what you deserve after what you did earlier. You tortured him mentally, it's only fair. On the good side of things, you suppose, you don't have to worry about the usual fears one would have over such a situation - you're fairly certain he's not going to kill you, nor sell you. In fact, the bed you wake up on is pretty soft. You're naked and the tape is uncomfortable, but... At least he was considerate enough to give you a blanket. He does care about you, after all. First thing he says is asking if you're awake. Can you hear me? You hesitate a moment, and then you nod. He's a bit new to this whole abduction thing. He wants to make sure he didn't pull a muscle or something with the tape. So... Do you hurt anywhere? Does your head hurt? Oh, right, the tape. He's not stupid either. You have to promise you're not going to scream. In fact, he's angry enough about earlier that he gets a bit meaner than he originally told himself he'd be. If you scream, I'll make you regret it. Understand? You nod, so he takes it off, holding it close in preparation in case you were lying, but you don't actually answer him, you're silent again for a minute, then just ask a question of your own. You're that guy, right? He's silent for a few seconds, there's no need for any clarification. Finally just says yeah. You just breathe again. Silently. Finally you summon the courage to ask him what he wants with you. And why are you doing this to me? And his answer is fairly simple. What do you think? You don't say anything for a minute, and neither does he. He's not good with words, and you don't really have ones for this situation. It occurs to you that offering to pay him to let you go is probably not the solution. After all, this is the guy that's dumped unimaginable amounts of money onto you, you couldn't even come close to paying him back. You figure maybe, after he gets what he wants... well, you get the courage to ask.  Is there anything... that I can do o-or... anything that will make you... are you gonna let me go, after you....? And the answer is, again, simple, but the one you did not want to hear. No. He's a blunt boy, so he doesn't beat around the bush, but he doesn't torment you by keeping anything from you. In fact, he's already rehearsed this speech a few hundred times in his head. He just wanted to make sure he's very clear so there's no misunderstanding, and while he likes some discomfort in a vengeful sort of way, he doesn't want you to be too freaked out to where you have a panic attack. He says he's just going to... keep you here. He has the things you'll need. He got your purse with your keys, so he'll even run to your apartment after this to go get some of your stuff. You don't need to tell him which number, he adds, he already knows which apartment you're in. He needs you here, he says. And he makes sure to add that it's your fault. If you were never out there selling yourself in the first place, this never would have happened. If you're good, he can make things a bit better for you. But you need to go ahead and accept that you're going to be staying and that no amount of begging or offers is going to convince him to let you go. He can be nice to you, he promises. A better boyfriend than the others. You just have to be a good girlfriend -- you know, obedient and sweet and do what he says. Just like you always were when you talked to him. Just keep being sweet like that and doing the things he tells you to do. You would argue that the terms boyfriend and girlfriend are not appropriate descriptors of the sort of relationship he's creating, but you keep that thought to yourself. Instead, you ask, How long are you going to keep me here? Which is a dumb question, since he's pretty sure he already made that clear. Forever. -----
There's a double homicide in the area. Takes place on the same night, and the same diameter of knife is used, so police believe maybe the two incidents are connected. Especially because they do have something in common, one girl. She was romantically involved with both of them. The girl in question's apartment has been vacated, very suddenly, and the girl has disappeared without a trace, taking things with her from the looks of it, so police believe she may be responsible, but other than that, they have no leads. A few weeks later, a video circulates all over the internet. Some famous camgirl finally started making porn, apparently. Just one video, but the description (which was totally written by her, it has to be since it's written in first person right?) says something about how she decided to quit camming, so this video marks the end of her career. She got into a relationship, so she says in the description, so she has to quit. It's roleplay porn, apparently, she's doing a good job at the acting. All tied up and gagged and getting fucked by some big-dicked guy holding the camera. He's silent, but she's making a ton of noise, cums several times. Really good acting, the fear and desperation in her eyes looks so real. Talk about going out with a bang. It gets a lot of likes. Tons of comments about how sad people are she's quitting. And of course, a lot of comments say, what a lucky guy.

the moment they knew | ushijima, daichi, bokuto
characters: hq captains (ushijima, daichi, bokuto) with gn!reader words, genre: 1.5k words, fluff + slight angst. warnings: none! summary: in love, there’s a moment where everything falls into place and you realize that there’s no one else you’d rather spend forever with. | part one (with oikawa, kuroo, kita)
Tumblr media
USHIJIMA WAKATOSHI;
admittedly, ushijima is not the best at relationships
but you brought out sides of him that he didn’t know even existed
and because he’s so in love with you, he finds himself looking for ways to surprise you
he doesn’t hesitate to try new things because all he wants is to make you happy in the way you make him complete
When Ushijima comes home, the first thing he notices is the other pair of shoes sitting by the entranceway. He smiles as he walks all the way to the kitchen where he heard a commotion.
Though your back was turned to him, seeing you in his apartment instantly relieved him of his exhaustion for the day. He hurriedly goes over to you, wrapping his arms around your waist to pull you to his chest.
“Wakatoshi,” you turn your head back and give him a peck on his cheeks. “Welcome home.”
He shows you one of his rare smiles and reciprocates your kiss with his own. “Thank you, love.” He rests his chin on your shoulders and watches you quietly as you prep the ingredients.
“Do you want to help cook?” You were already expecting him to just hum and leave you to the dishes while he sets up the plates. So it was a genuine surprise when his hands left your body and retrieved the apron (it was a matching set to the one you were wearing) from one of the drawers.
He silently took his place by your side, and took the cutting board and the knife from your hands. You watched in awe as he skillfully sliced the onions in perfect shape.
“Do you need me to cut the carrots too?” You hadn’t noticed that he’s finished until you heard his voice close in your ears. That night, the two of you cooked together for the first time and there was something so intimate and so special about it.
“This feels nice,” you commented as Ushijima now worked on slicing the raw chicken fillet. “I thought you didn’t know how to cook.”
“I’ve been practicing.” His answer surprises you. You can’t help but imagine him watching cooking tutorials and the thought makes you smile.
“Really? And what exactly motivated you to learn how to cook?”
Ushijima stops and turns to you with the warmest look in his eyes.
“I wouldn’t want you to do all the cooking in the future.” He grasps and kisses the back of your hands. “I wouldn’t be doing my job as your partner if you don’t let me serve you too.”
You don’t know which of the two takes your breath away—the way he looked when he said those words or the indirect proposal he just made. Either way, you were already looking forward to the future he’d just proclaimed.
SAWAMURA DAICHI;
your friends always said that daichi seems like the type of guy you’d bring to meet your parents
they weren’t wrong. he was the best partner anyone could ever ask for
you often find yourself wondering if marriage was ever on his mind
what you don’t know is that daichi had been carrying a ring box everyday since college graduation, just waiting for the right moment
Daichi clutches the material of his coat, hugging his body tighter as he stood and waited in front of your office building. He spots you walking with a friend and his lips curl upward into a smile. When you turn to look his way, he feels like a giddy high school boy as his heart skips a beat at the eye contact.
You bid your friend goodbye and run towards his waiting arms. He grunts when you throw yourself at him, laughing as you relax in his hold and he runs his hands over your back.
“You worked hard today. Shall we get your comfort food or do you want me to cook at home and prepare you a hot bath?”
You smile as you consider your options. “I like the sound of the second option.”
He takes your hands and brings it to his lips to plant a soft kiss along your knuckles. “Let’s head home then.”
The two of you begin a silent walk to your apartment complex. Lately, he’s been busy with his police work that he’s rarely had the time to stop by You take a glance at him, trying to remember as much of his face for as long as you can. Because you never know when he’d ever have the luxury of spending time with you like this.
He notices you staring, “Why are you looking at me like that?”
“Nothing. I just missed you.” You mutter. “Work has been keeping you too busy. It’s like you’re married to your job and I’m just your side piece.”
He laughs loudly that other passersby have turned to look your way. He says nothing, only squeezing your hands and looks at you with a glint in his eyes.
When the two of you arrived at your apartment, you made a beeline to the living room and planted yourself on the couch. You heard footsteps nearing and stopping at the side of the sofa.
Daichi had kneeled beside your position, his face inches away from yours when he calls your name. At the sound of his voice, you open an eye and see him holding out a ring in front of you. You sit up immediately, mouth hanging open as you search for the words to say but he beats you to it.
“You said earlier that you feel like I’m married to my job, and I’m sorry if I ever made you feel that but,” he pauses to stop the tears that threatened to fall. “But my job can’t compare to you. At the end of the day, I’ll leave work and come home to you.”
You’re both crying messes when Daichi takes your hand and positions the ring on your fourth finger. “Will you marry me?” Of course, you said yes.
BOKUTO KOTARO;
bokuto loves with his whole heart and he treasures you like you’re his world
your steadfast feelings made him confident and assured
but whenever a fight breaks between the two of you, his resolve always crumbles
when he realizes that nothing scares him more than the fact that he could lose you, that’s when he makes a promise
When Bokuto wakes up, he instinctively reaches for the other side of his bed and his heart drops when he feels nothing. He jolts up, eyes frantically searching his room for any sign that last night was not a dream.
He’s getting ready to stand up when the door opens and he sees you enter the room with a tray of breakfast in your hands. He scrambles on his feet and you’re surprised when he takes the food and places it on his desk before his arms make their way to hug you.
“I thought you’d left me again,” he mumbles in your neck. When you wrap your arms around him, Bokuto sighs and sinks further into the embrace. “I’m really sorry.”
It all started because of a petty fight. The two of you had been so busy with your own work that neither of you had time for each other. But the one time you’d both been home at the same time only resulted in an argument that led to you giving him the silent treatment for three weeks.
And those weeks were like hell for Bokuto. After that fight, he’d immediately realized his mistake and he’d called and messaged you but to no avail. Last night, you’d finally returned and Bokuto was more than relieved to see you.
“Let’s not fight ever again.” He looks at you with pleading eyes. “It was stupid of me to blame you for not having time for me when I’ve also been so occupied.”
“Bokuto…” You cup his cheeks and he closes his eyes as your hand gently caresses his face. “I’m sorry too. And I promise I’ll never disappear on you again.”
If there was one thing that he’d realized during the time when you were away, it’s that he could never live without you. He also couldn’t bear the thought of being the cause of your hurt and pain so he makes a promise.
He leans so close that you could hear the drumming of his heart. “I’ll never do anything to make you sad again. When we first got together, I told you that I’d only make you happy.”
You smile as you remember that moment when he’d asked you to be his. It was one of the best days of his and your life.
“And that’s what I’ll do from now and for the rest of our lives.” He’s inching closer and closer, your lips just a few millimeters away until you say something.
“What you said just now sounds like a wedding vow.”
He laughs, surprising you when he turns and plops down with you on the bed. He’s hovering above you playfully, “Baby, wait until you hear the rest of it.”

summary: when Peter goes missing while on a mission, he’s not exactly himself when he returns. His appetite is a little different now, and you soon find out that he’s hungry for more than just blood
~
You should’ve known that something was wrong when your phone went off at nearly 3 in the morning. No one ever called you that late, not even Peter. Your best friend was more likely to slip through your window if he needed something. Groggy with fatigue, it took you a moment to realize that you had not plugged your phone up before going to sleep like you thought, and that it was instead in your sheets somewhere.
“Hello?” you finally grumbled, eyes still closed as you wondered just who in the world was calling you.
“Kid, it’s Tony. Is Peter with you?”
You were suddenly wide awake, blinking your eyes open as you forced yourself to sit up.
“No…? I thought… Isn’t he on a mission?”
Worry began to bleed into your heart, and it only increased at Tony’s words.
“He was, yeah.”
You threw the covers off of you, hurriedly sliding out of bed as you searched for some shoes.
“What do you mean ‘was’?”
The older man sighed, and you noted that his voice shook a little bit. You froze, heart dropping into your stomach as the severity of whatever was going on registered. Tony Stark was worried.
“He was supposed to check in 2 days ago. He was supposed to be back today. Neither of those things have happened.”
“Wh-what do you mean?”
Your pitch had risen, and you didn’t bother to mask your fear.
“I don’t have much time to explain. Capsicle and Robocop are coming with me to see if we can find him. We’re leaving shortly, but my coordinates show that he’s still in Bulgaria. That’s where we sent him. We just haven’t heard a word from him and can’t seem to get in touch with him.”
You could hear things going on in the background, and you figured that they were only moments away from leaving. Your stomach churned, and you felt like you might be sick. If Tony Stark with all of his gadgets and resources couldn’t get ahold of Peter, then something was really wrong.
“Look, I have to go. If he shows up there, let us know immediately.”
He hung up before you had the chance to tell him that you were coming straight to the compound. You stared at your phone for a bit, brows drawn together as you processed this news. You hadn’t thought anything of it when you hadn’t heard from Peter in a few days. He wasn’t a kid anymore, had graduated college alongside you only last year, so his presence on the team was needed a lot more. His missions were less juvenile, so losing touch for a week at a time was nothing new.
As you threw on a coat to combat the biting New York air, you tried not to dwell on the worst. It couldn’t be helped though, and as soon as you stepped into your apartment hallway, shoulder grazing your door, tears filled your eyes. If Tony could see where Peter currently was...and he wasn’t able to get in touch with him...then that meant he was dead right? You shook your head, locking your door and tightening your fingers around your purse. There could be so many reasons for that. It didn’t mean he was dead.
The entire drive to upstate New York was a quiet one. You couldn’t even find it in yourself to fill the car with mind-numbing music to distract you. Your fingers were tight on the wheel, legs so tense that when you finally arrived at the compound, they actually hurt when you stepped out of the car. You leaned your back against the vehicle, the warmth seeping through your coat, and you released an unsteady breath.
You had known Peter since high school, easily finding a place with him and Ned, and eventually, MJ too. When Ned and MJ took their college education elsewhere, you had remained. You told yourself it was to save money, a partial truth, but you never wanted to admit that it was also to stay by Peter’s side. You couldn’t imagine being away from him. It was pathetic really, but Peter was more than some guy you loved. He was your best friend.
“I had a feeling you’d show up here.”
The familiar voice reached your ears, and you looked up at Wanda just as she floated down next to you. Her auburn hair was ruffled with a gentle breeze, her eyes sympathetic as she reached out to pull you into her side.
“They will find him,” she assured you.
You could hear Sam on the phone as soon as she guided you inside of the compound, and he sent you a tense smile and wave, which you returned. You could faintly hear other voices as well, and you figured that everyone who stayed back was wrapped up in doing whatever they could to get in contact with Peter. You felt helpless.
“What can I do?” you asked Wanda, already knowing the answer.
“Just be here,” she told you, making you sigh.
“Wanda…”
You gave her a reproachful look, and she smiled at you.
“We know you’re worried just like the rest of us, probably even more than the rest of us,” you swallowed at her knowing look. “...but everything will be okay. The last thing we need is you putting yourself in harm’s way or bursting a blood vessel.”
You nodded, heeding her words. You made your way to your room with a heavy heart. You were far from being a member of the team, you could barely throw a proper punch, but seeing as you came over so often with Peter, sometimes in the dead of night, Tony decided to have you a room put in. Right next to Peter’s.
One of his old college sweatshirts was on your desk, still there from the last time you borrowed it, and without thinking, you got undressed and put it on. It still smelled like him, and with the scent of your best friend filling your nose, you laid down and sought out sleep.
Tumblr media
The next day brought bad news. They had found Peter’s suit, but no Peter. It explained his stationary location and their lack of success with getting in touch with him. You had just stepped into the door of the room when Tony told them, his virtual face wracked with fear and worry, something you weren’t used to seeing.
You could tell that you weren’t meant to hear the news just yet by the way Nat’s eyes widened when she finally noticed you. The rest of the team turned as she hurriedly rose, making her way to you just as your face crumbled.
“Y/N-.”
“Wh-what does that mean? What does he mean?”
Tony’s voice faded as she pulled you from the room, and you almost tripped over your feet as your legs shook.
“Hey, Y/N, it’s going to be okay,” she said, attempting to calm you.
“What does he mean by that? Why doesn’t he have his suit- where is he?”
You were in your room now, and she shushed you as she guided you to your bed. You sat down, staring at your feet as your brain whirled. You hadn’t realized how fast your heart was beating, and your whole body shook as you fought to process this news.
“I don’t understand,” you mumbled, more to yourself than the spy before you.
She came into your vision as she knelt before you, her hands taking yours.
“Me neither,” she mumbled.
You fingered Peter’s shirt. You were still wearing it, just with some jeans, and Nat observed the movement.
“How long?” she quietly asked.
She didn’t need to elaborate. You knew what she was asking.
“Since…” you shrugged, releasing a heavy breath. “...practically since forever.”
“Does he know?”
You sadly shook your head. She pursed her lips, red hair framing her face as she studied you.
“We’re going to find him, and when we do, you can tell him. Okay?”
You nodded.
“Okay,” you quietly replied.
Nat didn’t stay for long, and you guessed that she needed to get back to the team to plan the best course of action. You barely left your room for the rest of the day, not having much of an appetite nor energy for anything. It was late in the evening when you found yourself making your way to Peter’s room. You lost count of how many times you slept in here, but Peter was usually with you, and if not, he at least showed up at some point. You liked waking up to the sound of his soft snores.
It felt weird with him gone, even weirder when you accounted for the fact that you didn’t know when he’d be back. If he’d be back. Your face almost crumbled at the thought, and you laid down, grabbing one of his pillows and hugging it to your chest, unable to stop the tears that spilled over, no matter how much you tried.
You slept in his room for days, and for days there was still no sign of him. The team was beyond worried now. You knew it, no matter how much they tried to portray otherwise. They were getting restless and scared. You couldn’t exactly say that you were any different though.
Sleep was hard to find, and even when you did, you found yourself tossing and turning throughout the night. Every time you woke up, you kept hoping that he’d be there, that you’d hear his voice. You were met with a dark empty room each time though, and it always broke your heart. After Peter had been missing for 8 days, Wanda finally came to you.
“I think you should go home,” she told you.
You were sitting cross legged on Peter’s bed, and she sat before you, hands in her lap with her feet on the floor. You frowned at her, wondering if you had overstayed your welcome, but she continued.
“It’s not that we don’t want you here, because you know we love having you around, but… You do not look good, Y/N.”
You squirmed under her concerned stare, clearing your throat.
“I’m fine,” you quietly argued.
“You’re not, and that’s okay. You just...you look exhausted and worried, and you’ve lost weight. A considerable amount in such a short time. What would Peter think if he came back right now and saw that you weren’t properly taking care of yourself?” she wondered.
Guilt flooded you, and you reluctantly nodded.
“I know that being here brings you some comfort, but I don’t think it’s worth the toll it’s taking on you.”
Your shoulders sagged, and you reluctantly admitted that she was right. You wanted to be near Peter in any way you could, but constantly waiting and listening out for any news was stressing you out.
“Go home. Sleep in your own bed. Get some rest. You can always come back,” she said.
“Okay.”
So, you did. You took a shower as soon as you made it back to your apartment, finding another one of Peter’s shirts he’d left. You forced yourself to at least eat something of substance, and when you had all you could take, you made a cup of tea. You had tried to watch tv, but funnily enough, the news was reporting on a crime that Spider-Man’s had helped solve months ago. Unable to stomach it, you turned the tv off and opted for bed.
Strangely enough, you were able to sleep better in your own bed. It happened quickly, and you didn’t toss or turn much. The first time you floated back to consciousness, it must have been around 3 in the morning. It was the longest you’d slept in days, and you knew that you’d be drifting back soon. However, you faintly noted that goosebumps had erupted over your skin, like you were cold.
Considering it was cold outside, you kept your heater blasting.
You blinked, staring at your window. It was closed, but the curtains were parted, and you could see that it was snowing outside. For the first time in days, a small smile tugged at your lips, and with a sigh, you rolled over. A dark figure was standing beside your bed, and the scream that you let out echoed through the apartment, filled with terror.
You fought back against them as they reached for you, struggling to get away and move further back on the bed. Their hands were cool, like they’d been outside for a while with no gloves. You were sitting up, pushing against them when they reached over and flicked on your lamp. When light flooded the room, your eyes widened.
Peter stood before you, dressed casually in dark clothes and looking completely unharmed. You sharply inhaled, all of your breath leaving you as your lips parted, eyes welling with tears. You blinked a few times, feeling like you might have been dreaming, but Peter remained. You reached out to him with shaking hands, and your vision had started to blur.
“Hey, breathe. Breathe, Y/N,” he softly ordered, brows furrowed.
You did as he said, and your chest burned as you moved closer. You slid off of the bed, moving to stand up, but your legs were unsteady. Peter caught you just as you fell into his arms, wrapping your own around him. You buried your face into his chest, your tears wetting his shirt, and he enveloped you in his arms as he shushed you.
You were shaking so much, and you just couldn’t stop. You couldn’t believe that he was here, and he looked perfectly fine. You sobbed into his chest, and you felt him tighten his arms around you. You clung to him, maneuvering to bury your face into the crook of his neck, feeling guilty about his shirt. You could feel him do the same, his nose brushing against your skin, and he took a long inhale, breathing you in.
“You’re okay,” you blubbered.
“Yeah...yeah, I’m okay,” he whispered.
You pulled away from him, roaming your eyes over him before meeting his own eyes.
“Where...where have you been? Everyone is looking for you,” you softly told him.
“I know,” he replied, looking sheepish.
“We have to call Tony,” you said, reaching for your phone.
Peter stopped you before you could, his hand tight on your wrist, and you found yourself wincing at his harsh grip. You looked at him with a frown, heart skipping a beat at his sudden dark countenance. He swallowed, and your eyes were briefly drawn to the subtle movement in his throat before he eventually let you go.
“I can’t...I can’t go back,” he told you, shaking his head.
Your eyes widened at him, and confusion filled you. What?
“What are...what are you talking about? Everyone is worried sick, more worried than I’ve ever seen them. Peter, they have no idea where you are or if you’re even okay! We should at least tell them-.”
You swallowed the rest of your words as you noticed that he made to leave.
“I shouldn’t be here. I shouldn’t have come here-.”
“Wait, wait!”
You grabbed onto the back of his shirt. You weren’t any match for him, but you were thankful that he halted. You wrapped your arms around him from behind, your lips brushing his shoulder as you spoke.
“Stay. Please stay,” you whispered.
His shoulders heaved as he sighed, and you continued.
“I’m sorry, okay? We don’t...we don’t have to tell them anything. If you don’t want to go back that’s fine, but… I’ve been so worried.”
That last part was said so softly, it was a wonder he even heard you. He didn’t say anything, nor did he move for a while, but eventually he turned around, and you let your arms fall. When your eyes met his again, you watched the way they narrowed, forehead creasing just a bit. You didn’t understand why until he reached up to press his fingers to the skin beneath your eyes. You could see the disapproval in his eyes, and all you could offer was a shrug.
“I was so worried.”
Peter blinked, face falling before he pulled you into his arms again. You returned the hug and let your eyes fall closed, just basking in the feel of him. You could hear his heartbeat, so slow...and so faint, something that seemed impossible. You told yourself you were imagining it.
“You’ll stay, right?”
He threw you a small smile when you pulled back to look at him, and you watched the way his dark eyes ran over you, lingering on your neck a tad longer than the rest of you before his eyes met yours again.
“Yeah, I’ll stay.”
You smiled at him, pulling him towards your bed. You settled in, only just realizing how cold you had gotten, while Peter got in behind you. Your head hit the pillow just as he turned the light out, and you frowned when you noticed that he wasn’t completely laying down. He was on his side, facing you with his head propped up onto his hand.
“You’re not tired?”
His eyes trailed to your window, staring out into the night for a moment before he shook his head.
“No...not really.”
You chuckled.
“So you’re just going to watch me sleep?” you wondered.
He reached towards you with his other hand, brushing his fingers along your neck and collarbone, fingers cool against your warm skin. A shudder passed through you.
“I missed you,” was his only answer, and it made your heart soar.
You knew that he didn’t miss you like you missed him, but it made you happy to hear that nonetheless.
“I missed you too.”
He didn’t respond, and you closed your eyes, the feel of his fingers on your skin oddly soothing. He always made you nervous, but not tonight. You wondered if it was because you had gone without him for so long, unsure if he would ever return. Sleep was just within your reach, but something weighed on your mind that prevented you from grabbing hold of it.
“Why don’t you want to go back?”
Your voice was small in the otherwise quiet room, and when Peter didn’t answer right away, you peeled your eyes open. He had stopped touching you, fingers curling into the covers as his jaw clenched.
“They won’t want me back.”
You frowned, forcing yourself to sit up. You blinked at him a few times, lips parting as you processed what that meant. Why wouldn’t they want him back? Peter was part of the team, one of the most loved members of the team. Said team was practically sick with worry, had been for over a week. Despite the fact that Peter was right in front of you and seemingly safe and sound, worry began to take hold again.
“Why wouldn’t they want you back?”
Your best friend didn’t answer you, and your worry grew, heartbeat picking up. Peter’s eyes were on you now as he sat up too, so focused and intense.
“What happened on your mission, Peter? What happened in Bulgaria?”
Again, Peter didn’t respond, but the minute you moved closer to him, he snatched your arm. Startled, you almost fell over, but his fingers curled around your wrist and pulled you closer, guiding the palm of your hand right to his chest.
Where his heart was.
Again, like before, you noted that his heartbeat was so slow. And even fainter. It was almost nonexistent, and your brows crinkled. You had felt and heard his heartbeat many times before since he’d become Spider-Man, and you knew that this was no effect of the spider bite. You had a hard time wrapping your mind around what you were feeling, and you looked at him again.
“I have...I have to tell you something…”
You fought to keep your worry at bay, noting the way Peter’s voice shook.
“I may even have to show you...but you have to promise me…”
His hand tightened on your wrist, and he released a shaky breath.
“...promise me that you won’t be scared.”
Scared of Peter? He was your best friend, and you couldn’t ever imagine being afraid of him. Still, you felt like he needed this so you nodded.
“Okay.”
Tumblr media
Peter’s side of the bed was empty when you woke up, and your heart lurched in a mild panic before you realized why. The sun shone through your window, bathing your room in the warm rays, and you swallowed as you wondered where he could’ve gone.
“I’m right here.”
You snapped your head up to find him standing in the hall, just outside of your doorway. He was out of the sun’s reach, and you slid out of bed to join him. He was watching you like he couldn’t anticipate your next move, and you sent him a smile to reassure him.
“Do you...need anything…?”
You didn’t come right out and say it, but you both knew what you were asking. He studied you for a moment before shaking his head.
“No. I...ate before I came here last night,” he told you.
You nodded and folded your arms over your chest with a long sigh. You could feel his eyes on you as you looked away.
“Look, Peter...I know you're not going to like what I have to say, but…”
You chanced a glance at him and found his dark eyes narrowed at you.
“I think you need to tell Tony.”
He briefly closed his eyes before letting them fall to the ground, hands shoved in his pockets.
“If anyone can help you, he can.”
Peter scoffed, a humorless sound.
“Help me with what? It’s not like he can fix this, Y/N. This goes past Tony Stark and all of his intellect,” he practically spat, frustration coloring his tone. “This is what I am now.”
You grabbed his hands, squeezing them as you moved closer.
“I know, I know. I just meant...maybe he can help you safely get what you need.”
His eyes met yours, albeit reluctantly.
“...and maybe he can help you control your appetite better. That way...that way you won’t hurt anyone else,” you quietly finished, recalling everything he’d told you.
Guilt passed through Peter’s features at the reminder of what he’d done. He closed his eyes, practically squeezing them shut as his shoulders heaved, a small sigh escaping him.
“Maybe...you’re right,” he hesitantly admitted.
You could see the war going on within him when he opened his eyes, conflict and guilt and self-loathing all passing over his face.
“Hey.”
He looked at you.
“You’re still you. You just...your diet’s a little different now, that’s all.”
He cracked a smile, a small chuckle leaving him, and you joined him.
“When the sun goes down, we’ll go to the compound, and...and everything will be okay,” you promised him.
He nodded, and hours later, when the sun was safely behind the horizon, that was what you did. You drove. Peter was still wary of his new strength, strength that far surpassed what he had before. Your wrist was still sore from when he’d grabbed you last night, but you didn’t want him to feel any worse than he already did.
Having called Tony on the way, he was waiting outside when you arrived. As per requested, he was the only one. You didn’t want Peter to get overwhelmed. You weren’t exactly sure of what he was capable of now, neither one of you really were, and you didn’t want to stress him out.
Tony had pulled him into a hug the minute he reached him, and your heart clenched for many reasons. You hoped that you’d made the right decision. Tony loved Peter. He’d help him, right? When he pulled away, the bearded man’s eyes flickered between the two of you with a frown.
“So you’re going to tell me what the hell this is all about?”
Before you could respond, Peter moved to pull him inside.
“It’s a long story, Mr. Stark…”
His voice trailed off as they went inside, and with a small sigh, you eventually followed. Neither one of them were present, and you figured that they went to the lab. You had a feeling that everyone else was there too, or at least not far off. They’d been worried sick and now Peter was back, seemingly unharmed. Of course they’d be concerned and curious.
Wanda was the only one who greeted you, and her eyes were wide as they met yours. They were a bit accusatory, even fearful, and you pursed your lips. She probably didn’t mean to, but it was easy to guess that she’d been inside of Peter’s head. She knew, and there was no telling what she saw.
“Y/N…?”
You shook your head.
“He’s still him, Wanda. Okay? Everything is going to be fine.”
She didn’t look convinced, but she didn’t argue as you moved past her to go to your room. You didn’t see anyone else the rest of the night, and you knew that they were all caught up with Peter. Figuring out how this happened, running tests, coming up with the best course of action. You were in and out of sleep when you heard Peter come into your room in the early hours of the morning.
He wrapped his arms around you as he slid in behind you, and even though he wasn’t as warm as he used to be, the familiarity of it all immediately relaxed you. You felt him bury his nose in your hair, taking a deep breath as he breathed you in, fingers brushing over the skin of your arms.
“Everything okay?” you mumbled, referring to Tony and the rest of the team.
“Yeah,” he whispered. “He wants me to drink pig’s blood, but yeah. Everything’s okay.”
You chuckled at that, sleep finding you once more as you smiled at Peter’s joke. However, it was the next day when you discovered that he hadn’t been joking at all.
“You’re serious?”
Peter nodded with a frown, arms crossed over his chest as he leaned against the counter.
“He wants to start weaning me off of human blood and start transitioning to animal blood,” he grumbled.
You noted that he wasn’t happy about that, and your curiosity got the better of you.
“Is that bad?”
“Not necessarily, no,” he sighed. “He thinks it’ll help me. That maybe I’ll...crave human blood less and it’ll lower my chances of losing control around someone.”
You blinked, wondering if you agreed with that.
“I mean, he doesn’t exactly know. This is all just trial and error, right now, because probably for the first time in Mr. Stark’s life, he’s stumped,” Peter said with a shrug. “...but it’s worth a shot.”
You felt like there was more to it, like he wanted to say something else.
“He doesn’t know that I already tried that,” he whispered.
You leaned against the opposite counter, watching as his frown deepened, eyes troubled.
“When I woke up...I felt like I had swallowed fire,” he murmured. “My teeth hurt, my throat burned, and my mind was going a mile a minute. I felt like I was losing it.”
He sounded angry as he glared at the floor.
“The only thing that even smelled slightly appealing was…”
He trailed off, shaking his head, a light chuckle leaving him.
“I must have killed at least 100 animals. Anything I could get my hands on… It was like an itch I couldn’t scratch, only 1,000 times worse. It wasn’t until...it wasn’t until I came across those hikers…”
He swallowed his words, letting his face fall into his hands. You neared him, resting your hand on his arm.
“It was the first time I’d felt okay in days. I could finally freaking think,” he said through clenched teeth, letting his hands fall. “There I was...covered in blood...surrounded by bodies of innocent people...and I was finally at peace.”
You pulled him into a hug as he recounted what he’d already told you. You knew that Peter wouldn’t ever forget that moment, but God, you wanted him to. That wasn’t who he was, you knew it, and you wanted him to know it too. He pressed his face into the crook of your neck, nose brushing over the skin, and his hands rested on your waist.
Your conversation with Nat weighed on your heart. Like she’d said, Peter was back, and you could finally tell him, but it didn’t seem appropriate. The man had been attacked and turned into something you thought only existed in books. This was a hard time for him, and it seemed silly to drop one more thing onto him, one more thing that could definitely wait.
“I wouldn’t get too close to him if I were you, Y/N. He might mistake you for a quarter pounder.”
You pulled away just as Bucky’s deep chuckle reached your ears, and you turned to see both him and Sam enter the kitchen. Sam seemed pleased with his little joke.
“You’re not funny,” you told him, completely unamused.
“It’s a little funny,” Bucky disagreed, and you huffed.
You felt Peter pull away, and by the time you looked over your shoulder, he was gone.
“Seriously?”
You threw them an incredulous look, and Sam shrugged.
“Look, we’ve got to find some humor in this okay? The kid’s got fangs and he lives off of blood now,” Sam said like it was the most absurd thing in the world.
Considering that you all were friends with literal Gods and even a woman who controlled the weather, you were inclined to disagree.
“This is hard for him, okay?”
You weren’t sure if they knew the full extent of what he’d done, but you heard Sam sigh, and Bucky at least looked a little sheepish.
“I’m sure he’ll joke about it when he’s ready, but please let him do it in his own time. His whole life has changed...again.”
“Yeah, well, welcome to the club,” Bucky sighed.
You rolled your eyes and turned away with a scoff.
“What’d I say?” you heard Bucky ask, but you were already making your way to Peter’s room.
You were surprised that he told you to come in when you knocked, and you slowly stepped inside. He was on his bed, hand behind his head as he scrolled through his phone.
“You okay?”
He let his hand fall, greeting you with a smile.
“Yeah, I’m good. They don’t mean any harm, so I’m not going to let it get to me,” he replied, reaching for you.
You joined him on the bed, laying your head on his shoulder as he told F.R.I.D.A.Y to turn on the tv.
“Want to watch a movie with me? As silly as it seems, all I could think about was curling up with you and watching a movie the whole time I was away,” he confessed.
Your heart fluttered, sure he could hear it, but he didn’t comment on it. His arm slid around your waist, pulling you closer, and you nodded.
“Yeah, I’d love to.”
His hand tightened on your hip as you figured out what movie to put on.

Every day, Peter went to the lab with Tony and Bruce, and every time he returned, he always seemed irritated. You tried not to comment on the harshness of his eyes and tautness of his jaw, but eventually, you had to express your concern.
“It’s nothing,” he told you one day. “They just keep treating me like some science experiment gone wrong.”
He played it off like no big deal, but you could tell that he was genuinely bothered.
“...and its this stupid diet or whatever you can even call it! It’s not working. It’s not satisfying or fulfilling, at all. I can’t taste a damn thing, I’m just drinking to get full? If that’s what you can even call it. It does absolutely nothing to satisfy me or quell this desire…”
He trailed off at your light chuckle.
“Alright, Edward Cullen.”
He threw you a hard look, and you swallowed your laughs. While he was finally making jokes about the situation himself now, you realized that now was not the time.
“Sorry…”
He heaved a long sigh, turning to stare out of the window.
“You wanna get out of here?” he suddenly asked.
You blinked at him.
“Now?”
He glanced at the clock, and so did you. It was almost 2 in the morning.
“I can’t think of a better time,” he replied.
You chewed on your lip.
“Where?”
“Anywhere,” he shrugged. “Just for a little bit…”
He hadn’t left the compound in weeks, Tony far too paranoid, and you could see how much he needed this.
“Okay.”
That was how 40 minutes later, you found your car parked near a small pond while you and Peter leaned against it, staring at the full moon. Neither one of you had said anything since you left, and you guessed that Peter was in his thoughts. You couldn’t blame him.
“You know, if I’d been bitten by a werewolf, we’d be having a totally different night, right now.”
You barked a laugh, and he joined you.
“If you were bitten by a werewolf, I’d be trying to play fetch with you,” you replied.
He chuckled again, and the two of you fell into another easy silence. Your eyes narrowed a bit as something weighed on your mind, and you suddenly crossed your arms over your chest.
“Why won’t Tony let you have any human blood? I mean, blood banks exist…”
Peter sighed, a frustrated sound, and you turned to look at him. The cool nightly breeze blew his dark hair around his face, and his jaw clenched.
“He thinks it’ll make me crave it more. Kind of like an addict, you know?”
You shook your head, disagreeing with that.
“...but...it’s not. This is part of your DNA, now, is it not? He shouldn’t be looking at it like a drug but instead like...food. It’s what you need to survive, now,” you explained.
“You’re right...but that’s blood I’d be taking away from people who need it. Besides, it’d be pretty messed up of me to…‘convince’ some stranger to let me drink from them and then alter their memory of the whole thing,” he mumbled.
“That’s right. You did tell me you can do that, now,” you mused.
“I’m pretty sure it’ll come in handy during missions. You know, if I ever go on one again,” he complained.
Your heart hurt for Peter. His entire life had been turned on its head again. He couldn’t go on missions, couldn’t even see his aunt, and on top of it all, he couldn’t even satisfy the craving his body had for what it actually needed. You pursed your lips and glanced at him again. You were positive he noticed before, but this time he commented on it.
“What?”
You glanced away from him, heart speeding up a bit as you wrung your hands together.
“What about me?”
He didn’t respond right away, and when you looked at him again, his eyes were on you. They were narrowed, hard, but you could see the spark of something in them that gave you hope that maybe this wasn’t such a horrible idea after all. Peter’s lips parted, his sharp teeth glinting in the moonlight before he snapped his mouth shut. He cleared his throat.
“You...you would do that?”
“Of course,” you said with a frown, turning your body completely to face him. “This is what you need, and you’re my best friend, and I’m willing. So you don’t have to let your morals get in the way.”
Peter stared at you for what seemed like a long time, eyes roaming over every inch of you. You watched as he swallowed, the conflict written all over his face. You could see that he was scared, afraid that he’d hurt you, but you could also see the fire in his eyes, the desire to take you up on your offer.
“Worst case scenario-.”
“You die?”
You rolled your eyes at him, stepping closer.
“You won’t let me die, Peter. We both know it,” you whispered, pushing your sleeve up and holding your arm out.
Peter’s dark eyes snapped to the bared skin, no doubt tracing the veins that you couldn’t see. Hesitantly, he grabbed your wrist, taking a deep breath before slowly lifting your arm as he bent his head. His breath, like everything else about him now, was cool against your skin. You watched as he closed his eyes, dark lashes contrasting against his fair skin, before opening his mouth. You barely got a glimpse of his sharp canines in all of their glory before they were sinking into your arm.
The reaction from you both was instantaneous.
A loud gasp escaped you, but not from pain. No. Your body heated up like never before, blood on fire as Peter let out an equally loud groan. An addicting sense of euphoria descended over you, and you felt your legs shaking, lashes fluttering as you struggled to keep your eyes open. Sensing this, Peter reached out with his free hand and tangled it within your hair, pulling you closer until your head leaned against his shoulder.
You could feel him moving forward, and he didn’t stop until your back was against your car. His hand tightened in your hair, almost painfully, but all you let out was a moan, your breath choppy and lips trembling as he pressed his leg in between yours. Your free hand clutched his jacket, attempting to pull him closer, and a low moan escaped his own throat as he pushed his thigh more firmly against your now heated core.
You faintly noted that this was a lot more erotic than you anticipated, but you couldn’t find it in yourself to care. He was still pressing your head to his shoulder, and your lips brushed the fabric of his jacket as you murmured his name.
“Peter...Peter…”
You couldn’t tell if you were asking him to stop or not, but considering this was the best high you’d ever been on, you concluded that you were not. Suddenly, all too soon, Peter practically ripped himself away from you, and you would’ve fallen to the ground if he hadn’t caught you. Your chest was heaving, so was his, and when you peeled your eyes open, his own wide ones were focused on you.
“Shit,” he cursed, looking like he was seconds away from getting in trouble. “Shit, shit, shit. I shouldn’t have done that. Mr. Stark is going to kill me…”
“Hey...it’s okay,” you panted, weakly reaching up to brush a dark strand out of his face. “I’m okay. How do you feel?”
He seemed stumped by the question, and he suddenly blinked, brows drawn together as he stared down at you. His lips were stained with your blood.
“I...haven’t felt this satisfied in weeks,” he whispered, looking at you strangely.
You weakly chuckled, eyes fluttering closed.
“Good.”
You had only been seconds away from falling when he caught you, and he finally straightened as he lifted you into his arms. You could feel yourself on the verge of sleep...or was it the verge of death? Either way, you were happy that Peter was happy. He gently deposited you into the passenger’s seat, strapping you into place. Your head lolled as he shut the door, facing him as he settled behind the wheel.
You could feel his eyes on you, and with difficulty, you opened yours again. He was staring at you with that look again, and you were sure he thought you crazy for putting your life in danger like that. The car was quiet, just the sound of your shallow breathing could be heard, and you thought to yourself that you kind of wanted to tell him you loved him. However, before you could, Peter leaned over and pressed his blood-stained lips to yours.
It was quick and soft, just the barest of touches, but it made your eyes widen nonetheless. You stared at him as he sat back and started the car, and you wanted to keep staring at him, wanted to ask him what the hell was that, but sleep finally got to you before you could.

It was days before you finally discussed what had happened, and that was only because it was days before Peter needed to “feed” again.
“I think I can go longer without when it’s human blood...because it’s what actually satisfies me. What my body needs,” he murmured one night while you were watching a movie you’d both seen a million times.
“That’s a good thing. Surely Tony will see that this is the best thing to do. This is what will keep you in control and allow you to go on missions again...see your aunt May…”
You had decided to keep what happened between the two of you, but you didn’t exactly feel right about it. Peter sighed and shook his head.
“No. I think he’d send me away,” he quietly told you.
You quickly moved your head to look up at him, your cheek on his chest as you stared at him with wide eyes.
“What are you talking about?”
“He’s been doing research, trying to find others like me. I think he has. I overheard him talking to the captain and Sam one day. He’s thinking about sending me somewhere I can learn to control my thirst and utilize my new…abilities or whatever,” he grumbled.
You fully sat up now, looking down at him with a stricken expression. His eyes finally moved away from the screen, and he smiled at you, rubbing your back in a soothing manner.
“I’m not going to let him send me away, Y/N, but he’ll definitely try if we tell him what happened.”
You nodded, forcing your heart to slow before you laid back down. Peter’s hand was still on your back, tracing patterns into your, well, his shirt. You listened to his slow heartbeat, the organ pumping what was left of your blood through his body. Your lashes fluttered when he dragged his fingers up to your neck, the appendages playing with the hair there. You found yourself humming when he tightened his hold there, and you looked up in confusion, prepared to ask him what he was doing when his other hand gripped your arm, and he pulled you up.
His lips met yours in a kiss that was nothing like the first one. You gasped against his mouth, and he wasted no time before taking the opportunity to taste the inside of yours. Peter moaned into the kiss, circling both arms around you now as he rolled the both of you over. He settled himself between your parted legs, and you sharply inhaled at the bulge you felt there.
Peter’s hand traveled to your neck again, grasping the hair at the nape, holding you in place as he dragged his mouth down. Your eyes rolled to the back of your head as he bit you, throwing your hands out to grasp anything you could. Your right hand hit the lamp on the nightstand, and it fell to the floor with a soft crash. Peter’s other hand pressed into your back, forcing you to arch your chest into his.
His hips were rolling into yours, his clothed member pressing against the most sensitive part of you so deliciously. You let out a soft moan, one hand clawing at his shirt, pushing the fabric up to drag your nails along his back. Peter had you completely pinned in between him and the mattress, every curve of his hips sending pleasure through you.
“Peter,” you moaned, reaching up to drag your hand along the headboard. “Fuck, Peter.”
You could feel your blood crawling past your neck, staining his sheets, but he didn’t seem to care. The bed shook a bit from his movements, and you hooked one leg on his waist as he continued to grind into you. You could feel yourself fading, and you welcomed it, and before you could, one particularly slow roll of his hips sent you over the edge.
You were a moaning mess as you came beneath him, his teeth still embedded in your neck. Your whole body shook, legs practically vibrating as they fell around him, chest heaving as he finally pulled away. He licked at your neck, and your arms fell to the bed, soft murmurs leaving your lips to which Peter chuckled at. He brushed his thumb over your lip before leaning back down, lips grazing your ear.
“Go to sleep,” he whispered. “I’ll be here when you wake up.”
You did, he was, and he greeted you with a kiss, further filling you with confusion as you wondered just what you were. You didn’t want to ruin it, didn’t want to break the spell by trying to make him define this. You simply wanted to enjoy whatever this was, and enjoy it you did.
Every few days or so, you found yourself squirming beneath Peter one way or another. Sometimes he simply pressed kisses along your neck as he rolled his hips into yours, sometimes his teeth were in you, and sometimes his fingers were in you, the sound of it so loud as he thrust them in and out of your fluttering core. The rest of the team was none the wiser as you both satisfied each other in more ways than one. It was usually in the dead of night when everyone else was asleep, and Peter was wide awake.
“Ngh, Peter,” you panted, fingers twisted into his dark locks.
You were completely naked before him, a first, as he swiped his tongue over your wet folds, another first. His own fingers were pressed into your thighs, holding them down in a way that hurt so good. The cool air hit the bite mark on the inside of your left thigh, and you hissed as Peter slid his tongue past your slick walls, tasting every inch of you that he could.
A thin layer of sweat covered your frame, and you realized that you lost track of how long Peter had been alternating between tasting your blood and tasting your lips. His mouth completely covered you, and you shuddered when he sucked on your little bundle of nerves, sharp teeth grazing your sensitive skin.
You could feel your...3rd? 4th? Or was it the 5th climax of the night that you felt approaching? You were so tired, but Peter didn’t seem to have gotten his fill of you, and his lips kissed along your mound before traveling to the space in the crease of your thigh before he swiped his tongue over your thigh itself, the unmarked one. It was dark in the room, and when Peter glanced up at you, dark promises in his eyes, you noted that they almost seemed to glow in the dark, like that of a feline.
He wasted no time before sinking his teeth into your skin again, and you pressed your hand to your mouth to keep from making too much noise. You knew that he’d ordered F.R.I.D.A.Y to soundproof the room, but it was a force of habit by now. Your climax crashed over you like a tidal wave, and that was how you fell asleep that night, with Peter’s face in between your legs, drinking from you in any way he saw fit.

“Look who decided to grace us with her presence,” Bucky sarcastically greeted as you walked into the kitchen the next morning.
Steve threw you a sheepish smile, visibly sorry on Bucky’s behalf for his behavior.
“Cut it out, Buck.”
“I’m just acknowledging that the princess has been holed up in her room more often than not as of late. If I didn’t know any better, I would’ve thought you went home, but I noticed that you’re still eating my cereal, the only other person who eats the kind I like, so…”
You rolled your eyes as he trailed off, and he reached out to pull on your shirt as you neared.
“What’s with the turtleneck, squirt? I know it’s freezing outside, but in case you haven’t noticed, it’s 77 degrees in here.”
You tensed at his words, and you ignored the way Steve eyed you over his mug.
“I just think I’m coming down with something is all. I’m a little chillier than usual today,” you lied.
He simply hummed, and that was when you finally noticed his attire. Steve too.
“Are you guys going on a mission?”
“You’d know the answer to that if you actually left your room once in a while,” Bucky grumbled, and Steve lightly shoved his shoulder.
“Yeah, the whole team’s heading out. Well...except…” Steve trailed off, and you nodded. “...but Nat and Sam are supposed to be returning from their assignment today, so they’ll be back later.”
You nodded at Steve’s words, not quite liking the way that he was studying you. You hurriedly poured your own cup of coffee, quietly telling them to “be safe” before moving to get out of Steve’s watchful eye.
Hours later found you and Peter on the couch, hardly paying any attention to the movie before you. You had the compound to yourselves, something you looked forward to, but Peter had other ideas than that of what you were thinking.
“You want to...leave?”
You frowned at him, unsure that you heard him right. Peter was facing you with his elbow on the back of the couch, propping his head up as his other hand traced your collarbone.
“Yeah,” he whispered. “Mr. Stark...I think he’s getting serious about sending me away for a while. I think he suspects us, but I’m not sure.”
You mulled over his suggestion, unsure of how you felt about it.
“They couldn’t even find me last time. I’d make sure they’d never find us,” he told you.
“I...I don’t know. I mean, I love you, but I’d miss everyone else,” you replied.
When you looked to him, he looked surprised, and his lips parted as he blinked at you.
“...what?”
Your brows drew together.
“What?”
He scooted closer, a slow grin forming on his pink lips.
“You love me?”
You scoffed at him.
“Of course. Peter, I’ve been in love with you for as long as I can remember,” you finally confessed.
You thought that it would’ve been obvious by now, but Peter just looked as if you told him he’d won a million dollars. Before you could register it, he reached out to pull you into a kiss. It was passionate and full of yearning...and hungry. You wrapped your arms around his neck and moved closer, Peter’s hand pressing into the small of your back. His lips trailed from your own down to your jaw, pressing kisses there and to your neck. You’d changed shirts as soon as everyone had left.
You knew what he wanted, what he needed, and you welcomed it as he pressed his teeth into your skin. A breathy moan climbed out of your throat as he laid you down. Your heart was going haywire in your chest, the realization that Peter returned your feelings finally hitting you. His hands ran over you, brushing over your breasts and down your sides before he hooked them underneath your thighs.
He pressed his bloody lips to your décolletage, nipping at the skin there before they grazed the swell of your breasts. He bit into the flesh that spilled over the top of your shirt, and you trembled beneath him, a loud moan escaping you. He growled into your skin, fingers pressing into your thighs almost painfully. You weren’t sure how long you remained beneath him, lashes fluttering and lips parted as ecstasy clouded your mind, but eventually, you felt yourself fading in a way you had never felt before.
Your vision blurred, and you could feel your heart starting to slow.
“Peter,” you worriedly murmured.
He seemed preoccupied with releasing himself from his jeans, fingers brushing over you as he reached underneath your skirt. You opened your mouth to protest, but all that came out was a choked sound, the sound transforming into a breathy gasp when he thrust into you.
“Peter,” you weakly called.
You could feel yourself fading fast, and Peter’s own breath was harsh as he drank from you, snapping his hips into yours with every thrust. You could faintly hear a door opening, and you wanted to warn him, but you could hardly move, let alone speak. Darkness creeped along the edge of your vision, and the last thing you heard before going under was a feminine scream.

You knew that you were in the infirmary before you even opened your eyes. The steady beep of the monitor next to you told you that whatever condition you had been in was pretty serious. You struggled to open them, but when your eyes finally peeled open, you noticed that the room was empty.
“Ms. Y/L/N, you’re awake,” F.R.I.D.A.Y noted. “I will inform Mr. Stark immediately.”
You cringed, squeezing your eyes shut at the mention of the last superhero you wanted to see. You just knew that you were going to get an earful, and you didn’t really care to hear it. You just wanted to know where Peter was and if he was okay.
Tony burst through the doors a lot sooner than you would have liked, and you avoided his eye. He didn’t say anything, and you knew that he was angry, because when did Tony Stark ever have absolutely nothing to say?
“Are you insane?” he finally wondered, and you sighed.
“Where’s Peter?”
“That doesn’t matter right now,” he snapped, and you finally looked at him as he stomped towards your bed. “You could’ve died.”
You shrank underneath his cold stare and harsh words, glancing away.
“Do you get that, Y/N? When Nat and Sam got here…”
He trailed off, face reddening as he was no doubt recalling what he’d been told, probably what he’d even seen thanks to F.R.I.D.A.Y. You watched as he swallowed, releasing a breath.
“Any later, and you would’ve been dead,” he whispered.
“I’m sorry,” you quietly told him. “I just wanted to help him.”
He heaved a long sigh, a tired and exasperated sound.
“I know you love him…”
You frowned at that, wondering if the whole damn team knew.
“...but he needs help from people who can help him. Help him to control himself, hone his new skills, help him so that he doesn’t kill you,” Tony finished, and you blinked back tears. “Go home and let us handle Peter. When the time is right, he’ll be able to see you again.”
The tears finally spilled over, and with a shake of his head, Tony left you. After a few more days in the infirmary, and several blood transfusions later, you did as Tony instructed. It felt strange to be back home after spending nearly 2 months at the compound with Peter. As you entered your room, sitting on your bed, you felt silly.
Tony had been right. You had almost died. You recalled the feel of your life literally slipping away as Peter drank from you, too lost in the taste and feel of you to notice that he was losing control. You had only wanted to help him, and you had ended up making things worse. Was Tony right to treat it like an addiction? Had you hindered Peter more than you helped him? You didn’t know. All you knew was that your actions almost led to your death at Peter’s hand, and that Tony’s actions had not.
You didn’t know where Peter was, but you had faith that he was alright. You hoped that Tony didn’t give him too hard of a time for what he’d done, but you knew that was unlikely. Nat, poor Nat, had literally walked in on him feeding from you and fucking you. There was no telling what the poor woman thought, and you hated the idea of them treating Peter like some wild animal that needed to be caged.
It was 3 nights later when you woke up to the feel of fingers ghosting over the side of your face as you slept. It took you a moment to register what was happening, but when you blinked your eyes open, you were surprised to come face to face with Peter as he stood over you.
“P-Peter?”
You struggled to sit up, and you rubbed your eyes, noting the way his own dark ones lingered on your neck.
“What are you doing here?”
“We’re getting out of here. C’mon,” he said, reaching for you.
You frowned at him, and you watched his own face fall.
“I don’t...I don’t think that’s a good idea,” you honestly told him.
He frowned at you, and guilt tore through you for more reasons than one.
“Don’t listen to Mr. Stark-.”
“Maybe I should’ve. Maybe...maybe he knew what he was talking about,” you said, cutting him off.
His hand fell to his side, and his dark eyes narrowed on you.
“You’re afraid of me,” he murmured.
“No! No...not really-.”
He cut you off with an angry sigh, and you folded your arms over your chest.
“I almost died, Peter!”
You watched the conflict on his features, brows furrowing ever so slightly.
“...and you would’ve never forgiven yourself...and I feel like it’s my fault…”
Peter stood over you, dressed plainly but darkly, chocolate locks kissing his forehead as he stared at you. He didn’t look happy.
“So you’re taking his side,” he surmised.
“I just think you should hear him out,” you whispered. “We tried it our way...and look what happened.”
He didn’t say anything, and neither did you. You sat there, and he stood there, both of you just staring at each other. You watched the way Peter’s jaw clenched, and he suddenly reached out to tangle his fingers in your hair, pulling you into a kiss as he neared. You pressed your hands against his chest, but Peter forced his way onto your bed, knees pressed into the mattress on either side of you as he moved his mouth against yours.
“Mm, Peter,” you protested, turning your head away.
“They think I raped you, you know,” he quietly said, the loud sound of tearing fabric filling the room as he ripped your t-shirt straight down the middle.
Your eyes went wide at his words, and he chuckled, the corner of his lips quirking upwards into a smirk.
“Oh, yeah. They think I coerced you with my new abilities or even just flat out bit you and took you anyway I saw fit,” he whispered.
The irony of the situation was not lost on you, and you desperately fought against him. Your underwear was next, and you were no match against Peter’s newfound strength as he batted your hands away, moving to remove his own clothes.
“They don’t know that I had you squirming beneath me, purring and mewling like a desperate kitten.”
His voice was husky, thick with the desire to sink both his teeth and cock into you. He gripped your legs, separating them like it was nothing despite your efforts to keep them closed.
“They think that you’re bad for me…”
It was embarrassingly easy for him to slide into you, your velvet walls giving him a wet welcome. He sighed out as he pressed into you, dark eyes somehow darker.
“...they think I’ve formed some supernatural bond with you, some kind of blood tie…”
A choked moan slipped past your lips as he started to thrust into you, and Peter leaned down to press kisses to the corner of your mouth.
“...and they might be right, but it only cements what we both know.”
His hands pressed into the sheets beside your head, his labored breathing reaching your ears as he pulled back and snapped his hips into yours again and again. Your head was spinning from the way he dragged his cock through your clenching walls, completely unrelenting in his pace. While this technically wasn’t the first time he fucked you, it was the first time you were coherent enough to truly feel what was happening.
“Peter,” you murmured.
His nose brushed against yours with every thrust, and he released a shaky breath.
“...and what do we both know?”
There was a desperation in his eyes that took you by surprise, and your heart clenched.
“Say it...for me…”
You swallowed, lashes fluttering as he slowed down his thrusts.
“I’m yours.”
His own eyes fell closed at the admission, slowly sinking himself into you, basking in the feel of you wrapped around him.
“You gave me your blood...your body…”
He leaned down to trail kisses along your neck, rolling his hips against yours.
“...and you’ll give me your soul. You’re mine in every way a woman possibly can be. In every way a human can be,” he purred, sharp teeth grazing over your warm flesh.
His words made your stomach flutter, walls clenching around him, and just then, your phone buzzed. Like that first night, it was in your sheets somewhere, and the continuous buzzing told you that it was a phone call. You had a guess as to who it could be and what they wanted.
They were looking for Peter.
You looked to him when he paused, watching as his face darkened. He wrapped his hand around your noisy phone before throwing it at the wall, the device shattering upon impact. His dark eyes met yours again, and he kissed you, stealing your breath away as he moved within you again.
“They want to know if I’m with you...if you’re safe…”
You could feel him smiling against your lips, and your nails pressed into his sides, hanging on as he pushed his knees beneath your thighs, widening your legs and forcing a guttural moan from you.
“They think you’re in danger around me...and they’re probably right, but not the kind of danger they’re thinking of.”
One of his hands fisted itself into your hair, pulling your head back, baring your throat to him, and you knew what was coming.
“You don’t know how much I fought with myself that first night...how badly I wanted to tear into you anyway I could,” he whispered, voice strained. “You were all I thought about when I was attacked...when I changed…”
His hips sped up, the sound of slapping skin filling the room as he pistoned into you.
“For your sake, I’m glad you gave yourself to me, because I planned to take you from the very moment I stepped into your bedroom.”
His teeth pressed into your neck, breaking the skin, and your climax washed over you, euphoria clouding your mind and senses as Peter drank from you. His thrusts didn’t stop, and one hand pressed into the headboard above you, blood staining your pillow as the bed shook from the movement of his thrusts. You knew that Peter was far from done for the night, finally claiming what he felt was rightfully his.

“ honestly Suna sometimes it feels like your just sitting there — calculating — thinking of ways that you can piss me off” you let out in a huff of anger as you slammed your hand onto the arm rest placed in the middle of the car. Voice loud enough to be heard from a mile away and then some “ And then you don’t even fucking care “
“ I’m sorry you feel that way “
“ seriously ? seriously Suna “
“ oh I’m sorry would you like me to say it jokingly? “
The silence that towered over the both of you was tall and it wasn’t going anywhere anytime soon “ WELL WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU WANT ME TO SAY “ his hand came up to run down his face as he sighed
“ look I'm sorry baby but — “
“ but nothing — I'm tired Rin—I'm tired of you screwing with me“ you groaned “ honestly at this point just fuck off “
he moved to pull the keys from the car unbuckling his seatbelt and opening the car door as your jaw hung open “ what the fuck Suna — “
“ I'm fucking off you ungrateful bit—“
“ you asshole — all of a sudden you take everything literal right ?? huh only when you want to right “
“ y’know what— no you fuck off —ok y/n “
“ see that’s what I'm talking about “
“ honestly I doubt you even know what you were talking about in the first place “
your steps quickened as you followed after the male who stopped at your front door imputing the code and opening your house door “ This is what I mean by you keep fucking with me Suna “
“ oh “ he moved to sit down on the couch arms flung behind it and legs spread wide out in front of him. “ is it really— because , the 40 minute argument in the car about your best friend hitting on me didn’t quite make that clear “ he scoffed shaking his head along with it “ your shitty reasoning must of gotten lost on one of the many streets of Japan y/n “
His eyes glowing body perking up with his next sentence “ yknow what how about you go find it hmm then we can have this little talk sometime later -- preferably when I'm sleeping id hate to be awake for another one of your hellish complaints babe.”
your anger was only growing as the argument continued “ you fucking douchebag I bet you don’t even know why I'm pissed off “
He let out a small sigh of a laugh his legs shaking and hitting each other in a wave before they resumed their earlier position “ I don’t“
“ and you don’t care either do you “
“ I don’t “
Your heart broke for the first time ever in your relationship with the stoic male after hearing his words and tone. In all the time you and your boyfriend had been together you two never argued about his lack of emotion or care.
It never bothered you
It never affected you
until it did
You smiled up at the taller male as his mouth continued to run while talking to the rest of his volleyball team. This was the first time you’d ever seen him talk for more than 5 minutes with anything other then yeah’s and small mhmms.
The both of you had been invited to a class reunion and you only decided to go because of his new teams constant nagging
Suna had been telling you all week to find something else to do and that you didn’t have to go with him. That it would be too boring and long and that you would be better off having fun without him.
Of course you put up a fight but, ultimately lost and decided to hang out by yourself for the earlier half of the day spending last weeks paycheck on this weeks shopping spree
it felt nice to treat yourself but you couldn’t help but want to treat your boyfriend too. The thought of him being bored alone plagued your mind and you had to get it out.
The only way to do that was to go to the reunion.
Now how you imagined it would go is you show up in your fancy new dress surprising him smile a bit , talk up some of the host and sneak your way in and then mingle and go home and cuddle and kiss your boyfriend all night
funny thing is somewhere in that prewritten script you had created you didn’t realize imagination is not always reality.
The sight of your boyfriend leaning against a wall with a glass in his hand and his other on the string of your best friends dress had you reeling in the disgust that you wanted to spill so badly on the floor right now
All you’d done was go to the restroom but now you sat with your eyes widening while you watched his eyebrows come together in annoyance with the string that wouldn’t come undone.
Your best friend faced away from him back to his chest and a small smile on her face. Cheeks heated from his touch and in that moment you cursed her for having a look on her face that made it visible how much she enjoyed his warmth. You wished she didn’t make it so obvious how the closeness to your boyfriend was making her feel
how it was encouraging her
Your heart broke when you seen Suna finally relax and blow air out of his cheeks before nodding softly almost thanking the gods that he figured it out and it was over
Your feet moving before you could even process what to say to either of them.
“ y-y/—“
your hand came in contact with your best friends face before she could even finish the loud slap echoing through the room as everyone turned to find the source of the noise
Eyebrows raising when they noticed it was not only a slap but a full on one sided battle between you and the girl who everyone seen as nice and quiet during your school years
They never knew of the undercover bitch that was lurking behind the surface. They’d never see the way she was smirking as she took every hit given to her in stride. Your boyfriends hands wrapping around your torso as he looked down and seen that you were hovering over her ripping her to bits
You never letting go of the grip your thighs held around her own as she whispered to where only you could hear “ aw poor y/n’s defending someone that doesn’t even want em—gonna go to jail for someone so unloyal huh “
Your eyes lit up with pure hatred as the security made their way over to you reaching to take you from Sunas hold and lessening your grip on the woman beneath you
“ sir we need you to let her go “
“ don’t touch me until you actually make it all the way to police academy you fucking lowlife. “ you spit out “ how the hell do you only make it to security much less high school reunion security “
“ the hell do you know — you don’t even know how hard police academy is asshole “
“ ah I bet your kids’ll be real proud “ your eyes squinted at his name tag “ todd — you kiss your wife with that mouth “
you laughed eyes rolling from him to suna “ or are you like this asshole and kiss your mistress with it instead ? huh toodles ? “
“ ha — ‘m gonna have fun with you--ya little prick. sir — let ‘em go or else i’ll pull out the big guns — they snuck in here and now their disrespecting an officer “
“ big guns “ your laugh circulated through the room “ ‘k sure let me stop before I get pepper sprayed “
“ my hands already on the trigger you lil bitc— “
“ hey “ sunas voice growled behind you “ watch who the fuck your talking to toodles“
“ just— get—get the fuck off dude I didn’t go to police academy so I could avoid this — their full on disrespecting me come on man get off“ your face scrunched up in annoyance as you saw the security look like they were about to cry
“ well I mean — “ he sighed “ it’s not like your a real officer right“ suna sighed out as he began to bite his lip in worry “ I mean we can let this slide right ? “ he nodded looking towards the males name badge “ uh toodles“
He coughed “ todd — I mean todd “
“ I’m sorry but, even if I could “ his gaze dead set on you “ which I really don’t want to — seeing as though they disrespected me “
His voice sounding proud as he continued “ and I'll have you know I'm security guard of the mouth asshole “
“ oh whoop dee fucking do Tinkerbelle ”
“ y-fucking-/n “ you could feel the way Suna was seething above you breath hot and you could tell his face was made up in a snarl “ if you don't shut the fuck up I swear on Atsumu’s unwashed boxers ill leave your ass prison letters starting tonight “
“ see —— sir I'm trying “ he sighed “ I really am trying to let this go but — “
“ their with me — “
“sure “ he scoffed “ I'll need to see some relations or — “
“ their my s/—their my plus one “ his eyes moved to look at everyone surrounding you guys then back to the position he now held you in before finally dropping you to the floor. Your heart dropping and ears tuning everything out from that point on.
Everything on mute until you got in the car and were finally met with his low voice as he buckled you in and walked to his side turning the car on “ y/n “
You turned to look out the window “ y/n that — “
His voice was so hard but so weak “ y/n that was so fucking embarrassing “ Your body shivered at his words
“ having to watch my fucking s/o almost get fucking arrested “
His hands tightened their grip on the wheel “ then turning around and having to talk you out of it in front of our whole graduating class “
his voice went deadpanned as he swerved a bit on the road mixing lanes “ and — and my team — oh fuck my team “
he started to breathe a bit heavier as you began to feel bad hearing the sadness in his voice. His body shifting in his seat “ all so you could “
he laughed a bit at the situation “ all so you could take your ugly ass insecurities out on your friend ? “
he scoffed looking from you to the road and back to you “ when did you two even stop being friends huh ? did I miss that or ?? do friends just go out and leave bruises on each other or is that something new? What-- is it like a new TikTok trend -- a fashion statement huh ?? the fuck is it because, I'm not a friend person so maybe you know something I don’t “
He scoffed “ maybe — maybe I'll never be a friend person after something like that. If friends are just beating each other’s asses in broad day light out the fucking blue then I'll just stick with ‘tsumu at least I know I can beat his ass if he were to pull some shit like that “
‘ friend ‘ you thought silently
“ poor kid didn’t even see it coming “ he shook his head at you turning back to the road “ holy hell that’s shameful y/n “
he whispered “ I don’t even wanna think about the rumors that’ll spread about us tomorrow “
The car was quiet only for a minute as Suna re arranged his thoughts before he could beat into you again “ friend Suna ? “
your voice was dry “ Rin do friends help each other out of their clothes ? “
your eyebrows creased “ do they focus so intently on another woman while their own is in the same room “
“ I didn’t know you were there “
“ SO YOU ONLY TAKE FRIENDS CLOTHES OFF WHEN IM NOT THERE “
“ NO I “
“ YOU ONLY TOUCH OTHER WOMEN WHEN IM NOT THERE “
“ y/n jus— “ he took a deep breathe and let it out “ just shut up its not like that “ he let out an uncomfortable and tired scoff of a laugh “ it wasn't like that “
“ it’s always shut up Suna it’s never ‘ what’s wrong y/n ‘ ‘ are you ok y/n ‘ it’s just ‘ shut up I don’t wanna talk so you don’t wanna talk either ‘ “
you locked eyes with the male in front of you “ I'm done Rin I'm— I'm done “
“ you cant leave me-- heh not after that shit you pulled back there  “
“ fuck if I cant--you don't look like my legs to me and as far as I know their still Bluetooth connected to my mind so-- “
“ you'll be an overnight clown you-you need me y/n “ he shook his head “ we need each other “
“ no you need volley ball because you need money-- because guess what asshole as of right now-- your homeless”
“ fuck you as if “
“ we’re over Suna don't let my words finally hit you when you walk out the shitty door”
“ that’s fine by me “ he scoffed “ get the hell out for all I care — I'll pack your shit for you “
“ no— I'll pack your shit asshole your living  in my house bottom feeder “
“ if you don’t shut the fuck u— “
“ then what ? huh what — you’ll leave me “
“ I swear to god I'll —”
“ you’ll what cheat on me with my best friend ah I'm so scared — “ your voice holding nothing but mock enthusiasm “ I can just imagine the way you’ll kiss her when I'm not there — these thoughts for some reason almost feels real y’know “
you watched as the man you’d taught yourself to love for 7 years since high school finally walked out the door. His perfume from earlier still hanging in the air long after the door slammed. Your mind racing when you were finally brought to one thought
‘ how did we end up like this and how the hell do we get back ‘

Warnings - basic smut with a bit of a pain kink, breeding kink, that's the main things idk what else to advise you about.
A/N - I feel we need more warren shit on tumblr since he is arguably one of Evan's best characters outside of ahs. this fic has nothing to do with the plot of American animals so no spoilers ahead.

Warren’s car comes speeding down the road, skidding to a stop where i stand on the sidewalk. The window was rolled down, letting me see his pretty face. “Hiya there, stranger,” he jokes, a smile on his lips.
Chuckling, i walk around the car and get into the passenger side. It was late at night and i had just finished studying for my exam on Monday and who better to call at two in the morning on a Friday than Warren?
The moment I had buckled my seatbelt, Warren drove off. He always drove like he was in a car chase. It scares me sometimes but we’ve never been pulled over or gotten into a crash.
His music plays loudly, only making him drive faster. He tends to get lost in the moment. “What were you studying this time?” he asks, looking over to me as he pulls up to an abandoned intersection at a stoplight.
“The uh, Stonewall Riot of 1969,” I answer, looking over to meet his eyes. My minor was in Social Justice so of course, the Stonewall Riot was a topic we’d talk about. “Cool. That chick who was like, the leader of the riots was cool,” Warren replies, driving again when the hue of the green light filled the dark car.
I just nod, looking out my window. It was late at night so not a lot of people were out on the roads. The occasional drunk person or car was all you could spot. “Where do you wanna go?” he asks me.
It was always a dreaded question. Warren knew this, that’s why he always hesitated to ask. Sometimes he’d just drive around with no destination in mind because we had nowhere to go or be. I never wanted to go home and neither did he.
“I don’t know,” I say with a heavy sigh. Warren pulls into an abandoned parking lot, screeching the car to a stop and putting it in park. He grabs something out of the cup holder and I see he holds a joint.
He lights it, inhaling it first before offering it to me. “I stopped smoking weed,” I turn down. Warren smiles, a look of playful shock in his eyes. “My god, Y/n. Repenting, I see,” he jokes, taking another hit on the joint.
“I hope you don’t think you’re better than me now,” he comments, leaning back in his seat. He turns down the music a bit, silencing ‘Piano Man’ by Billy Joel. “How's college?” Warren asks me, his eyes studying my face.
The only source of light was from the dim street lamp that Warren had parked next to. I shrug, my lips pressed together. “Fine. Stressful but I can handle it,” I answer, resting my head back on the seat.
“You look tired,” Warren notices, his eyes evaluating my face like I was some complex math equation. I chuckle weakly. “Thank you for that,”
“College is bullshit, anyway. All the famous and rich people dropped out of high school. Let alone graduated college,” Warren tries to comfort. “All you need to succeed is money and charisma. And to be honest, Y/n, you’re already halfway there,”
I turn my head to look at him, a small smile spreading on my lips. “You think I’m charismatic?” I ask. Warren nods, exhaling smoke from his joint out of his rolled-down window. “Charisma is mostly how attractive you are and the other half is being nice so, yeah,”
“That is the nicest thing I think you have ever said, Lipka,” I say, almost surprised by his compliment. He chuckles, shaking his head as he looks away from me. “The weed makes me nice,” he excuses.
“I have to agree,”
“You are very pretty though,” Warren states, his voice lowered with affection. I turn my head back to face him, seeing the forlorn look in his dark eyes as he looks at me. “You’re pretty, too,” I compliment in return, reaching out and twirling a strand of his shaggy, brown hair around my finger.
Warren places his hand on my thigh in return, his eyes heavy on mine as his thumb rubs small circles on my inner thigh. “Third hookup of the month?” Warren suggests.
“That’d be the last one and it’s only the sixteenth,” I reply. He and I had this rule that since we were friends with benefits that we got three hookups a month. It keeps order in our friend group. Warren sighs, a look of disappointment on his face. “So?”
I roll my eyes playfully, feeling his hand creep further up my thigh and closer to my core. “Fine,” I say as if I were tired of arguing but in reality, I really wanted it as well. He leans over the center console of the car, his lips locking with mine without hesitation.
Kissing back, my fingers tangle in his hair as his fingers rub my clit lightly through the fabric of my pants. I moan into the kiss, my free hand going to his dick and palming him through his jeans.
Warren pulls from the kiss first, his eyes dark with lust and his cheeks red. “Backseat,” he instructs vaguely. With a simple nod, I crawl into the backseat, already taking off my leggings and tee shirt as he joins me in the backseat.
I help him take off his shirt, running my hand up his toned torso, feeling his warm skin. He does the same to me, his hand running down my bare leg. He lays me across the seats, pulling my panties off in one clean motion before settling between my legs.
Our lips meet again, my hands on his face to deepen the kiss. The kiss was hot and desperate. Sex with him was always like this. Like he was going to die if he didn’t fuck me in the next five minutes.
Warren was a very impatient man. Which causes for hot and oh so unholy sex.
His hand travels down between our bodies, slipping under my bra and playing with my breasts. I arch my back, my moans silenced by his lips. The car was already getting hot, causing a thin sheen of sweat to break out on our skin.
My hands go to his pants out of habit, undoing the zipper to his jeans easily. Pulling them down, I pull back the waistband to his boxers to let his dick out. I feel him smile into the kiss, impressed with my eagerness. He didn’t even have to make a snide comment about it, I just knew he was thinking it.
His hands move down my body, stopping at my hips where he holds me in place so he can push into me. His lips leave him, his eyes admiring the way my mouth falls agape as I feel his dick inside of me.
My legs wrap around his waist, my nails digging into the skin of his shoulder blades as he bottoms out inside me. He pushes some hair out of my face, stalling any movements to help me adjust.
“You look so pretty with me inside of you, pup,” he says, his lips grazing over mine in a taunting way. I whimper, a shudder running through my body as he moves his hips just so slightly. “Oh, you want more?” he asks teasingly.
I nod eagerly, giving him my best puppy dog eyes to hopefully make him cave. He runs his thumb over my lower lip before pushing it into my mouth. I gladly accept it, sucking on his thumb as he pulls his hips back and thrusts into me roughly.
I screw my eyes shut, my walls clenching as Warren sets a fast and relentless pace right away. My wetness made it easy for him, as he likes to say. Any noises I made were muffled by his thumb in my mouth.
My stomach tightens in knots as pleasure floods over me. Warren pulls his thumb from my mouth, his eyes on mine as he admires his work. Tears gather in my eyes, my skin hot to touch. He caresses my cheek, his hand falling down to my neck where he drags his nails down my neck and trails down to my breasts.
A whimper falls from my lips, my hips bucking to meet his as he continues to fuck me into oblivion. “Warren,” I moan weakly, my voice dripping with submission.
A groan leaves his lips, his eyes closing briefly as he indulges in his own pleasure. “You feel so good, baby. You’re such a good girl,” he praises, his words sending more arousal through my body.
I run my fingers through his hair, our eyes locked. Warren loves to keep eye contact during sex. Says that seeing the look on my face was better than the sex itself.
Already close to my orgasm, Warren runs his hand between our bodies, his fingers locating my clit effortlessly and rubbing slow circles on it to double my pleasure. I moan out, my eyes falling shut again as I bask in the feeling.
Warren removes his hand from my clit, moving to snake under my back so he could flip me around so we were now in doggy style. He quickly resumes his thrusts, hitting deeper inside of me than prior.
I rest my hand on the fogged-up window for stability, my head thrown back. Warren’s fingers tangle in my hair, pulling a handful of it. I cry out weakly, his grip on my hair being painful. Using my hair as leverage, he leans back as he fucks me roughly.
Right on the edge of an orgasm, I hold back knowing that Warren liked to make sex last due to my three times a month rule.
Using every ounce of willpower to repress my orgasm, my walls clench around his dick tightly. “Aww, is my baby gonna cum?” Warren asks in a mocking tone, just his mere words making me want to give up my fruitless battle.
I just nod, a pathetic moan leaving my lips as his fingers dig into my hips. “Go ahead, I give you permission,” he allows. With a sigh of relief, I give up everything and let the pleasure take over. With one last cry of his name, I’m falling apart.
The only way to explain an orgasm from Warren was like being able to sit down after running for days and days on end.
My entire body shakes and I find myself relying on his grip on my hips to keep me up. Soft pants leave my lips as my ears ring, my eyes screwed closed as pressure from my veins releases itself all at once.
Warren fucks me through my orgasm, leaving me a shaky mess as he cums inside of me. Ceasing his thrusting, he carefully pulls out of me, running his finger through my soaked slit to admire his work.
Panting, I sit back down on the seat, pulling my panties back on. “Shit. I gotta get to a bathroom now,” I huff, suddenly very aware of how uncomfortable having his cum in me would be. Warren smiles charmingly, shrugging. “Everything’s closed,”
I sigh, getting back into the front seat and pull on the rest of my clothes. Warren follows behind me, pulling his shirt back on as he puts the car into drive. I lean back in my seat, still catching my breath as Warren skirts out of the dark parking lot and onto the main road.
“Just don’t tell my boyfriend, ‘kay?”
“As always, friend,”

Family Reunions- George Weasley
Three years imagining a life together Love your family more than we loved each other I said I’d keep in touch and I did But the more we keep in touch, the more I miss him
The second she enters her small flat she can feel her entire world shatter around her. Leaning her back against the door as she sinks to the ground, head dropping into her hands as she wipes furiously at her eyes, trying to push the tears back in.
Once a week she had attended dinner at the burrow, it was nice, good to see Molly and Arthur and whichever kids were around, of course George was never there, the date marked in his calendar in a red pen reminder to not go home that day. To sleep and eat at the flat.
The family had been heartbroken to hear that he had broken up with his girlfriend, after the war he had committed all his time to helping Fred. His twin needed every last bit of his attention, helping with his physical therapy and his dwindling mental state and so George's relationship had taken a back seat. She hadn't minded, in fact she had understood, she even committed herself to helping too.
But a year after George decided to call things off, Fred was better, he was walking and he was happier and he was working again. It was the perfect time for him to focus on his relationship, after all the girl had proven herself time and time again. But he couldn't bring himself to do it. Maybe it was that he felt like he needed a minute alone.
Maybe it was the feeling that she was so much better than him. Maybe it was his mother's constant talks of rings and weddings. He wasn't quite sure but all of a sudden he felt like he was suffocating.
He sat her down in his bedroom in the flat. Explained that she wasn't the one and it didn't feel right anymore. He had watched as she cried and had attempted to comfort her only for her to push him away, fleeing his flat leaving a baffled Fred on the living room sofa, television on in front of him, wondering why the girl who may as well be a sister just left the flat in floods of tears.
George still visions his mother's face when he closes his eyes, the look on her face when he told her he ended his relationship. He remembers her disappointment. He remembers his brothers shock. He remembers his dad's sad sigh. He remembers his sister's passionate rant about how he never deserved her anyway.
As the girl cries on her hallway floor she vows that she will stop. Stop seeing the Weasley's. Not because she doesn't love them with every fibre of her being but because she couldn't handle the heart break. Couldn't keep sitting at their dinner table without his hand on her knee. Couldn't keep sitting on the swing set without him laughing and pushing her. Couldn't keep helping Molly clean plates without him sat on the counter teasing her.
Tell your sister if she hears from her ex I can’t be the one that she calls And as much as I love talks with your dad I need him to leave me alone Cause I can’t find the words to express The way that I wish I was the one But friends don’t bring friends to family reunions
Her resolve to stop seeing the Weasley's was gone by the next morning.
She woke up to a missed call from Charlie and called back, chattering away about his upcoming trip home as she got ready.
She arrived at her job at the ministry and met up with Hermione for coffee, deciding that when she eventually cut her ties she would keep Hermione. The girl was like a younger sister, although so was Ginny, but she figured one last tie to the family, someone to hear their news from would do no harm.
Arthur knocked on her office door in his lunch break, bringing with him sandwiches made by Molly and asking her to eat with him and she didn't have the heart to say no, so instead they ate in her office and talked merrily about the infestation of singing sunglasses he was dealing with today.
As she left her office she received a phone call from Ginny, who ranted about how annoying Harry was being and how now she had graduated and was training she felt like she had no time to focus on her relationship.
It was after she assured the girl that her and Harry were meant to be as she walked through the Leaky Cauldron she knew what she had to do.
She got a flat above a bookshop on Diagon Alley simply to be near George and now everyday, walking past his store, felt like torture. She hadn't been in the store, she'd avoided it like the plague even when Fred asked her to come and hang out with him and George wasn't working. So as she walked into the atmospheric shop her heart felt like it was sinking in her chest.
"Hey sweetheart, you all okay?" Fred asks with a bright grin, he's leaning on his cane for support and eyeing the door.
She could cry looking at him. Not just because he looks identical to the man who fell out of love with her and she still pined desperately for. No. Today the tears she blinks back are practically grief, she knew that, realistically, she would see Fred around, but she wouldn't be able to call him a friend anymore.
"I uh- could I speak to George?" she questions, Fred smiles gently, noticing her pained tone.
"Yeah, of course, you can go on up," he assures. She nods shooting him a small smile, but pauses on the stairs.
"Hey Freddie,"
"Yeah,"
"I want you to know that I am really proud of you, of the shop and of how much better you are and I mean when I first met you who'd have thought you'd end up here. I just-well I love you and I am really proud," She blinks back tears as she speaks, almost wishing she would get a chance to say a goodbye to all the Weasley's.
Fred smiles gently, somewhere in him he can tell, tell that this is goodbye and he's about to loose a friend.
"I love you too sweetheart, just remember no matter what that I am always going to be here for you,"
They share eye contact for a moment, both knowing and not saying it. Fred understood, he can only imagine how hard it must be to still be a part of his family's lives after George. He knew the girl in front of him loved his twin brother more than anything, he knew that deep down George loved her just as much, and yet here Fred stands, a silent goodbye hanging in the air.
Phone calls Sweet notes All the little things I used to love Now they just remind me that I was never enough We said we’d keep in touch and I tried But the more we keep in touch, the less I move on in life
"Hey George," she speaks quietly, standing in the hallway of his flat as he stands staring at her shock.
It's been a month since he saw her and his heart leaps at the sight of her, at her standing there with a small smile and teary eyes and a pencil skirt and blazer and messy hair and she's just her. She is her and it's everything he's been missing. He wonders as he stares at her how he ever thought that she wasn't the one. That she wasn't perfect. That she wasn't made for him.
Her own eyes are wide, seeing him sparking something in her that she didn't even know existed. He's shirtless, a white towel wrapped around his hips and his hair damp from the shower he just clearly had. Her eyes scan his toned chest, his broad shoulders, the light sprinkles of freckles. His scent, his cinnamon body wash, is so strong that it practically invades her body and she could scream and cry and all she wants is to kiss him.
"Oh-shit-hi. Is everything alright?" He's worried to see her, had someone died? Was she okay? Merlin, he wanted her to be happy more than anything in the world.
"Hey," she speaks quietly, backing a way a little when he tries to move closer, not wanting to be close enough that she could reach out and touch him.
"You said that already," he teases gently, testing the waters.
"I'm sorry- I-" she cuts herself off, not sure how to say anything that she wants to
"Hey, it's okay. You're okay," he comforts her gently "Why don't you go sit down, I'll get dressed and come, just give me a minute," he offers, she nods her head slowly.
When he enters the living room it feels natural. Seeing her sat on his sofa waiting for him feels right. He thinks for a second about how it could all be different. How he could be in pyjamas and she could be in one of his shirts, how he would jump on her and laugh when she tells him he is squashing her, how he'd have held her as they watch a film and make-out and he'd cook for her and they'd drink wine and enjoy a blissful Friday evening, wrapped up in each other.
"You're all dressed up. Going anywhere nice?" she questions, eyes scanning his white dress shirt and jeans.
"The Italian, the one in Camden town,"
"With the little dog and the red wine?" she questions, George lets out a laugh at the memory of the time he took her there, it was a month after the war, thinking back it was probably the last time he took her out. He got so busy with Fred and the shop and she'd not been a priority when he knew she should have been, she never seemed to mind though.
"That's the one,"
"So, it's a date," she smiles gently, heart splintering in her chest
"Uh, yeah. Yeah it is," he confirms, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly
"That's great, do I know her?"
"Angelina," He admits quietly. She nods, forcing a smile.
"That's great George, I'm really happy for you. I'm sorry to disturb you-"
"No!" he cuts her off a little too eagerly, a little too happy to see her. "No, you are fine being here. I want to help with whatever is happening," he assures her
"Right, well I won't keep you long," she nods awkwardly
"Hush, none of that nonsense, take all the time you need," he reassures her, sitting down next to her on the sofa but keeping a respectful distance apart.
"So-well- I know that this is-" she cuts herself off with a sigh "Sorry, this is just...awkward,"
"Hey, it's just me. You can say anything," He moves his hand to place it gently on her knee, his heart stops at the way she gently pulls her leg away.
"I need you to tell your family to stop talking to me,"
"What?" he snaps, suddenly quite offended. "My family have been nothing but kind to you and-"
"Christ! it's not like that!" she gasps, he sighs
"Then what?"
"I can't be a part of their lives anymore. I know it sounds so selfish and I wish it was different but- George- I love your family. I really do. I just- being around them hurts. It kills me. It makes me want to just drop dead because every time I talk to them I think of you. Being in your house I can feel you and- I- it hurts. It hurts too much," She admits it in a tired whisper, George feels his heart break at the thought of her heartbroken because of him.
"Okay. I'll talk to them," he speaks quietly, she nods and stands.
"Goodbye George,"
"I'll see you around?" he asks quietly, the thought of this being it makes his heart hurt. When his family were stealing seeing him all the time it wasn't as bad, he always knew what was happening in her life. This, this was final.
"Yeah. Yeah maybe,"
Tell your sister if she hears from her ex I can’t be the one that she calls And as much as I’ll miss talks with your dad I need him to leave me alone Cause I can’t find the words to express The way you don’t think I am the one And friends don’t bring friends to family reunions
For the next six months George hears nothing. Without his family seeing her he has no idea how she is, if she's okay, if she's happier now. He lays up at night thinking about her and wishing he could turn back time.
She hears scraps, staying in touch with Hermione, she knows about Ron in depth, hears bits and pieces about the rest of the family. Too awkward to ask if George is okay, if he's happier without her, if he's with Angelina now.
Bill receives a card when his little girl is born but she doesn't pick up the phone when he calls her. Fred gets a text message when he finishes his physical therapy but when he replies it's left on delivered. Ginny swears up and down that she saw her in the stands of her first professional quidditch game but can't prove it.
So, with dread filling her body and curses at her nephew flying in her mind she enters Weasley's Wizard Wheezes. She's hoping to go unseen by the twins, they had staff now and maybe they would never have to find out her annoyingly loveable nephew wanted a reusable swamp for his 12th birthday and absolutely nothing else would do.
"Hello, welcome to Weasley's Wizard- oh, hi," George's voice sounds anxious when he snaps his head up to see her standing like a deer in the headlights in the almost empty shop.
"Hey,"
"Is everything alright?" George wonders if the way his mind automatically jumps to something awful having happened because of the war or because he can't think of any other reason after everything he put her through that she would want to be anywhere near him.
"It's Max's birthday next week," she announces
"Yeah. 12, right?" George questions with a lopsided grin. He adored her nephew, the kid as giggly and energetic and just like him and Fred were as kids. He also loved the way she was around kids.
"Yeah," she confirms, surprised he remembers. "He, uh, started school,"
"Made Gryffindor I'm sure," George smiles, it's the first genuine smile he's let out in weeks
"Yeah. The first thing he said when he saw me at Christmas was that I just had to tell uncle George, didn't shut up about you once. I didn't have the heart to tell him we broke up so..." she trails off.
"He's a good kid,"
"He is. Professor McGonogall isn't quite so set on him,"
"Nah, she always loves the trouble makers," George smirks
"That's true," She smiles gently "Anyway, so he wants a portable swamp and nothing else instead for his birthday, so," she trails off once more, gesturing to herself.
"Well of course," George grins, pushing himself off the front desk that he had been resting on and striding across the shop floor to grab one. He grabs a basket, walking around the floor and plucking any product he thinks the kid might like, even a few unreleased things from the back room before returning to where she is standing at the front till with a small smile on her face.
"George-" she starts, he shushes her immediately.
"I'll gift wrap them for you," he announces, placing the full basket on the till
"You don't have to that," she protests but he laughs
"Actually, I kinda do. You are the worst at wrapping gifts," he teases making her smile.
"You got me there," she admits
"Yeah. So, how've you been," He begins scanning products through the till and wrapping them with ease
"Uh good. I got a promotion-"
"Wow! that's fantastic, and so well deserved,"
"How would you know?" She blushes as she speaks, not looking at the boy
"I do read the paper y'know? What is it now 100 war criminals you have single handedly found," he bolsters, she'd always wanted to be an auror but becoming so high up that she reported directly to the minister and had a big fancy office was only in her wildest dreams until now.
"What about you? How's things?" she questions
"They're good. Shop's going great and Fred's only getting better by the day. Little Victorie is so perfect and yeah life is, well, it's good," He can't bring himself to say that as much as everything is perfect he can't find it in him to be happy without her by his side.
"And Angelina?"
"We decided we were way better as friends. You dating?"
"I'm married to the job," she shrugs, not wanting to say she doubted she would ever fall in love again without him.
"I get that," he nods, placing the pile of wrapped up parcels into bags. He physically laughs when she grabs her purse and begins to gather money
"Sweetheart, you're not paying for any of this. I only rang it through the till because we have to stock management,"
"George, that is so kind but I can-"
"Yes you can, if it makes you feel better stick my name on a couple of the tags alright?"
"I will, I promise that I will," she nods, taking the bags from his hand "Thank you,"
"No bother. Give Max my best, yeah?" He smiles, she nods and he watches as she leaves the store, his heart that he hadn't even realised was practically beaming dulls back down when she goes.
Tell your mom to stop sending me recipes she finds on the internet And when your brother wins homecoming king
I won’t be there to witness it And when you find the words to express the way you don’t think I am the one And friends don’t bring friends to family reunions If we’re just friends don’t bring friends to family reunions
"You busy?" Hermione leans in the doorway of her office
"I can make a couple minutes, what's up? We had coffee three days ago," she reminds as the brunette steps into the office, closing the door behind her and settling in the seat across the desk.
"I know and I wanted to ask then but I couldn't bring myself to it because I feel so bad asking," Hermione explains, twisting the diamond ring on her finger anxiously.
"'Mione, you can ask me anything. You know that if it's physically possible I'll do it," she assures, putting the papers she had been reading down to give her friend undivided attention.
"You're one of my best friends," Hermione states
"And you're one of mine," The girl nods, eyebrows furrowed in concern
"And when somebody does something big in their life they want their best friends there,"
"Hermione what ever you need I'm there. 100%"
"Big things like getting married. I'm getting married, you know that, I mean to say Ron and I have picked a date and it's four months away and we are getting married at the burrow in a marquee by the lake. I know it's a lot to ask of you. I mean it's not just some ex, it's George, and I know how hard it's been for you without him and I hate myself for asking. And it's not just seeing him it's being there, I mean you fell in love with him there and it's not just him it's all of them and I understand if you say no, but, I want you there," Hermione rambles
"Of course," She speaks without thinking, never would she not attend her friends wedding "Hermione, I would love nothing more than to be there,"
"Really?" Hermione beams
"Merlin, 'Mione did you think for a second I wouldn't come, it's your wedding,"
Love them like they are my own But I don’t think I’ll ever move on If you don’t , If  you don't
It had been the most obvious thing in the world to say yes when Hermione asked, but now, standing in a stupid, but undeniably beautiful, pale blue bridesmaid dress she felt nervous. Hermione had insisted she had no obligation to see the Weasley's until the wedding day, she knew how her friends heart ached for not just George but the whole family, and wanted to make the whole thing as painless as possible.
But now, standing in the empty kitchen the morning of the wedding, the girl wondered how to breathe. She arrived by floo powder, already changed and ready like Hermione had instructed as she was getting ready with her muggle family.
She wasn't sure what she expected but it wasn't the empty, quiet room she was standing in.
She lets out a sigh, blinking back tears, the scent feeling like coming home.
"Sweetie, how are you?" She hadn't even realised Molly had entered the room from the back door until the familiar woman is pulling her into a hug.
"I'm okay, how are you?" she questions as Molly pulls away. If it were anyone else Molly would have rushed away, much too busy with preparations, but it wasn't. Molly loved the kids her children brought home in her life like her own, she missed the girl but understood that she needed space. One look at the tears in her eyes tells Molly that right now she needs to be here.
"I'm good. We are all good," Molly assures, gently guiding the girl to sit. "Now, tell me honestly, how are you?
"I'm just sorry," She admits, voice cracking and tears spilling onto her cheeks. "You must all hate me,"
"Sweetie, no one here hates you, not even for a second. We adore you," she assures, rubbing the girl's shoulder comfortingly
"All of you were always so welcoming and kind and then I just stop speaking to you all. I was so rude and I'm so sorry. Merlin, I didn't even tell you myself I made George do it,"
"None of that. You don't have to be sorry. We are the sorry ones. My son broke your heart and we were all wrapped up in loving you and wanting to be part of your life that we didn't stop to think how hard it would be for you. To be here and to talk to us. You needed to heal, no one is mad at you. We just miss you, and when or if you ever want to come back you will be welcomed with open arms," Molly assures her, grabbing a tissue to dab the girls cheeks dry.
"I missed you so much Molly," she sighs
"I missed you too dear, and I know George misses you,"
"I miss him. Every day I miss him,"
The moment is cut short when Charlie strides in through the front door "Thought I smelt trouble," He beams, wrapping his arms around the girl "Come help me with the daises, Hermione wants like a thousand and Perce is useless,"  He informs, an arm wrapped around her shoulder. She looks almost anxious and he rubs her shoulder gently "He's upstairs with Ron," he whispers gently
"You're welcome to go and speak to him if you'd rather," Molly informs, she wanted her son to be back with the girl more than anything.
"It's okay I'm happy to help,"
"Thank Merlin, I'd strangle Percy if you aren't there to stop me,"
Tell your sister if she hears from her ex I can’t be the one that she calls And as much as I’ll miss talks with your dad I need him to leave me alone Cause I can’t find words to express The way that I wish I was the one But friends don’t bring friends to family reunions
"I saw mum put you to work earlier," George's voice calls through the dark night air. She's sat in the tree house in the garden, the wedding a small distance away.
"I never mind," she shrugs as she watched him climb the ladder, he sits down next to her, legs dangling over the edge next to hers.
"Thought I'd find you here," He comments, he had built the tree house one summer when they couldn't get a minute alone. It was the first summer she spent there, between 4th and 5th year, she fell in love with him in that tree house.
"Just needed a minute," she sighs
"Yeah. It's beautiful but it's kind of a lot,"
"Weddings when you're depressingly single are often a lot," she shrugs, he chuckles at that.
"I have no clue how you are single," He comments, eyes trained on the starry sky above them
"Well, you dumped me so," she teases, a light laugh in her voice. He rolls his eyes, bumping his body to hers, for the first time since the breakup she doesn't move away from his touch. Not wanting to waste the opportunity but also not wanting to push her he settles for pressing his leg next to hers, her foot wraps around his leg holding him close to her without her even noticing, it's second nature, instinctive.
"I'm serious. You're so incredibly kind, and funny, and smart and good in bed," he adds the last one as a joke, laughing when she playfully swats his arm "and I mean, look at you right now, you're like a fucking goddess. You always are. How had no one swept you up?" He questions, and he means every word of it.
"Honestly?" she questions
"Always,"
"They've tried. I mean boys ask me out or try and get with me, but- I- well I never say yes, it's not fair to go on a date with someone when you're in love with someone else,"  She admits, she is staring straight ahead, not looking at him, so she misses the grin that brightens his face.
"That's why Angelina and I decided on friends," he admits, she hums in response not sure what to say. A comfortable silence falls over them, the sound of music from the party the only thing filling the air.
"You wanna dance?"he asks suddenly
"Sure," she agrees, he jumps down from the tree house, it's a little stupid but not unsafe and they've done it a thousand times before. She follows suit and his hands grab her waist to steady her when she stumbles a little in her heels.
He keeps his hands there, pulling her closer to him as hers wrap around his neck.
"Always thought you looked so good in blue," he admits as his thumb strokes her waist, the silky material soft under his grip. "Like a princess," he adds
"Always thought you looked so good in a suit," she grins, blushing a little as he twirls her around
"I miss you," he hums out, pulling her back closer this time, her head resting on his chest.
"I miss you," she returns.
"Y'know I never stopped loving you. Not even for a second. I regret it. More than anything," he's practically whispering and his heart stops when she stills in his arms.
"I can't do this," She whispers, tugging herself from his arms
"Darling-"
"No. George, I love you, more than anything. So I can't. It's your little brother's wedding and you are lonely and you are all mixed up and we haven't seen each other in so long and weddings, merlin weddings, they confuse everything and I can't. I can't do this one last night thing. I'm sorry,"
Before George can reply, can tell her that she's so far from right she's turned around and is speeding back towards the party.
Tell your mom to stop sending me recipes she finds on the internet And when your brother wins homecoming king I won’t be there to witness it And when you find the words to express That you don’t think I am the one And friends don’t bring friends to family reunions
She pulls her apartment door open a week after the wedding, surprised to see George Weasley a determined look in his eyes and soaking wet from the rain.
"George,"
"Hi. I need to talk to you," he doesn't seem nervous, he seems like there's a fire in his belly, a determination, a purpose, a need.
"Oh, sure. Come in," She moves aside, letting him in. "The living area is at the end of the hall. I'll go grab a towel," she directs.
He looks around the living area, it's open plan to the kitchen and it's cosy. Full of pictures and little trinkets, it is fundamentally her and his he feels more at home there despite having never been before than he does in his own flat.
She re-enters, throwing a fluffy baby pink towel at George before heading into the kitchen, grabbing an extra mug having been in the process of making tea when he arrived, and fixing them both a tea how they like it.
"So, you wanted to talk?" she prompts, sitting crosslegged on the couch, her fuzzy pjs and messy hair so domestic and beautiful he would marry her on the spot to get to see her like that every day.
"You said that you didn't want to do one last night, well, I don't either. It wasn't wedding goggles making me look at you different. I am in love with you. So, in love with you that being without you makes it hard to breathe and I want you back, not just for a night but for the rest of my life," He thinks he should be nervous but he's not. It's her. He could never be nervous with her.
"George, that makes no sense why would you-"
"Listen, I have never felt good enough for you. The whole time I've known you it was like you were so above me and I could never be on your level, no matter what happened you were always perfect. You were, and are, too good for me,"
"George, I have never been-" she starts but he cuts her off
"I had to help Fred. He is my twin brother, my best friend. He nearly died and I was terrified. He was nearly crushed to death and I realised I could loose him, I could loose anyone I loved. That included you, obviously, and that's how it started. I was scared to be with you because if I lost you I couldn't cope. I couldn't survive. So I started pushing you away. But you. Merlin, you're so good that it didn't matter. I pushed you away and I was wrong to do that but you didn't waver for a second. It was my responsibility to help Fred. To go to physical therapy with him. To hold him when he cried. To be there no matter. I would have done it no matter what. But you. You didn't have to do that. But you did. You didn't complain. You didn't walk away. You helped fix Fred even when I was being crappy to you," He rants
"George, I loved you and I still do. I would have done anything you asked me to, I still would. But I didn't help Fred because of you. I didn't do it for you. Not cause I was too good. I helped Fred because he's been my friend since I was 11. I helped Fred for Fred. Not for you," She explains, George sighs.
"I know. I just was in this state right? I was scared to loose you and you've always been too good for me and I just didn't know what to do. Then, Fred was getting better, and I felt empty. I wanted Fred happy and healthy of course but I'd become so used to spending all my time trying to fix things, trying to keep everyone afloat. It felt like everything stopped. Like no one needed me. I became obsessed with things I could. I couldn't fix you, I couldn't fix us, because nothing needed fixing. You were so perfect for me that I didn't need to fix it. That scared me. The more I thought about it the more I realised if I lost you, no one could fix me, I couldn't loose you but I wasn't good enough for you. It had to be me. My terms. My breakup. It was stupid, but that was I hadn't lost you I'd given you up and that was better," he explains, tears flooding her cheeks as she suddenly understands everything that's been happening for the past months.
"Georgie, you never needed to be scared. I'm not going anywhere, I promise,"
"I know. I'm sorry that I hurt you,"
"George, I love you,"
"I love you darling, more than anything," he smiles
"So another go?" she questions timidly
"If you'll have me," he nods, she grins. Hands shoving his shoulder's back to lay against the sofa, knees on either side of his waist. Her lips touch his for the first time in months and it's like they can breathe again.
They lay side by side in her bed that night, bare skin pressed to each other, holding each other as tightly as humanly possible.
"Can we stay here all day tomorrow? I just wanna lay with you," she speaks tiredly, her head on his chest
"Ron and Hermione get home from the honeymoon tomorrow," George informs, she moves her head to look at him "We have a dinner thing, looking at the wedding pictures too,"he continues
"That'll be nice. You aren't leaving my bed till the very last minute though," she decides
"You should come," he prompts, giving her a squeeze
"You really think your family won't mind?"
"Please, they love you. They'll just be glad to see we are back together,"
"We could be going as friends," She teases, he rolls his eyes
"Not to a family reunion we couldn't. Besides, I have every intention to hold your hand and kiss you the whole night so they'll probably catch on. Aside from Percy, bless him, he's socially inept,"

Waves || Draco Malfoy
Requested: No

Pairing: Draco Malfoy x fem!reader

Warnings: none really, just so much fluff I think my heart almost exploded

Summary: Draco continuously finds himself breathless at the amount of love he holds for you because his love for you comes in waves.
WORDS : 1480
~
“Y/N, do we have to do this?” Draco groans as you drag him through his mother’s garden.

“Yes, I promised your mother that I’d check on her garden everyday while they’re gone.”
“I don’t think she took you seriously when you said that.”
“Seriously or not, I’m doing it.” You say sternly as you stop in front of the daisies to water them- spritzing them with water carefully and attentively to ensure that no one flower gets more love than the other.
He watches you in silence and admiration- adoring how considerate you are with one of his mother’s most prized possessions- and an immense surge of love for you overcomes him without warning. The sun makes your eyes twinkle gently and your yellow dress just makes you look positively radiant. He gulps and sits down on a nearby bench to ground himself- trying to resist the urge to beg you to marry him on the spot- but you mistake his disorientation for frustration and turn to him with a sigh.
“If you really hate this so much then you can return to the Manor, I’ll be back in a few minutes.”
He almost laughs at how wrongly you’ve interpreted the situation and smiles up at you brightly, “There’s nowhere else I’d rather be right now.”
“Are you being sarcastic?” You furrow your eyebrows at him- confused at how quickly his demeanor has changed- and he shakes his head softly in response.
“No, I want to be right here with you.”
“Too bad.” You turn away from him with a mischievous grin and walk further away as you approach the roses.
“Why?” He furrows his eyebrows.
“I was already used to the idea of you being gone.” You look behind you and catch his gaze with a smirk, “Your voice is a bit annoying after some time.”
Draco leaps out of his seat immediately and you yelp and drop the water as you start to run away from him. Your giggles fill his ears as he trails a few paces behind you- following you as you run into the meadow that’s behind the Malfoy Manor- and he has to struggle to focus on his steps instead of the rapid beating of his heart at the beautiful sound.
“I’m sorry!” You cry out as you start to run down the declining meadow and toward the river that runs at the bottom.
“Too bad!” He shouts back- using your own words against you- and you can’t help but laugh out as you reach the bottom and turn behind you to look up at him.
“Come on, you know you want to forgive me.” You pout up at him- squinting your eyes at the sun in your eyes- as he stands at the top of the little hill and stares down at you.
His breath hitches in his throat at the sight of you standing there. Your hair tied up and exposing your collarbone to the sun’s rays, your bright smile shining up at him, your frame melting into the nature that surrounds you-from the tall weeds of unkept grass to the tiny purple flowers that are sprouting from the ground. It’s all too much for him and he has to sit down on the ground quickly before his knees buckle from under him.
Alarm consumes you and you quickly run back up the hill to find out what’s wrong with him. “Dra-“
“Marry me.” He blurts out before you can even finish asking him what’s wrong and your eyes widen in shock.
“What?” You ask with a laugh and he takes a deep breath before repeating himself.
“Marry me.” It’s not a question, nor is it a demand, it’s more of a desperate plea and you can tell by his tone that his throat is dry- almost if the words have been sitting on the tip of his tongue and running back down into his lungs for so long that they’ve rubbed his throat raw.
“Where’s this coming from?” You ask with a furrow of your eyebrows as you plop yourself down next to him.
Your knees bump against his and he sucks in a large amount of air at the contact. It’s such a simple movement but it has all the hairs on the end of his neck standing up like he’s a tiny schoolboy- he may as well be when you’re around… You touch him and it makes him immensely giddy- as if you haven’t touched each other a million times before, as if you haven’t touched each other more intimately before. Not that it’s ever any better when you two are tangled in between the sheets together- a mixture of love and limbs tied together so perfectly that it always makes him feel as though you two were made for each other.
“I’ve been wanting to ask you for months. I’ve tried to keep it in but nowadays my love for you is always overflowing and the words are just banging against my head all the time.” He answers you honestly- not afraid to pour his heart out anymore after months of keeping it in.
“We’re just 16, we still have school an-“
“I know… I know…” He cuts you off and looks down in embarrassment- suddenly realising how ridiculous it was of him to bombard you with such a request. “It was stupid of me to bring it up, I’m sorry.”
You drop a few fingers below his chin and bring his face back up to look into your eyes and smile, “I never said I wouldn’t marry you.”
“Y/N-“
“I love you so much, why wouldn’t I marry you?” You pull him toward you and crash your lips together. He releases a happy sigh and melts into you- bringing his own hands up to cup your face.
Kissing you is like fire to him- it burns bright and furious and courses through his veins until all he can think or feel is your lips against his own- he’d do it forever if he could. There is nothing he hates more than when you pull away from him and he often finds himself feeling embarrassed at how quickly he jumps to chase after your lips- like you’re water and he can’t live without you. And maybe that’s the fact of the matter, he cannot live without you. Because he could have everything- money, good grades, house elves at his beg and call- but it would mean nothing if your laugh wasn’t the sound filling his ears every single day, if your touch wasn’t the one burning itself into his skin every single night.
“I love you.” He breathes out against your lips- not stopping too long to speak and immediately resuming the kiss.
Sometimes he forgets, just how much he loves you, but you always do something that reminds him before he can stray too far away from his adoration for you. In simple terms, his love for you comes in waves- filling him up all at once, repeatedly, and at a force so harsh that it almost always knocks the air out of his lungs. It’s when you read to him before you fall asleep, when you hold his hand on the way to breakfast, when you insist on hyping him up before Quidditch games, when you tell him terrible jokes that he can’t resist laughing at just because you tell them, when you make continuous effort with his friends and family, it’s every single thing you do.
“I love you.” He breathes out again as another wave encapsulates him. His love for you fills him up in every way possible, like it’s climbing up his lungs until they’re full and he can no longer breathe. His love for you is intoxicating, suffocating really, but it’s so exquisite that he wouldn’t want to have it any other way. What good is oxygen when all he wants to breathe in is the scent of you forever?
“I love you.” He whispers one last time as you both pull away and rest your foreheads against each other- eyes locking and breathless pants meeting inbetween you both.
“After school,” You start after a few minutes of regaining your breath, “After we graduate let’s get married, right here in this meadow.”
“Y/N, I would marry you in an abandoned basement, all I care about is that we’re both there.”
Your heart wrenches at his words and you pull him for another short kiss- much to his dismay- before telling him again, “I love you so much.”
And there it is again, a wave of love for you that’s so strong it makes him close his eyes and take a moment to breathe. The waves are relentless- they’re every single moment he gets to spend with you and he can never get enough of them. You’re intoxicating and every single time he thinks that he’s felt all the love he could possibly feel for you, another wave crashes against him.
<~>
I simp so hard for this man. Please leave me requests because I need something to keep me occupied while I wait for universities to get back to meeeeee.
I’m probably going to write something for one of the Weasley’s soon because argh I love them all and would not hesitate to let any of them rail me-
anyway that’s all...

The Cult Girl (Hannibal x Female!Reader) pt. 6
Hannibal sits in on a regular conversation between y/n and her family. Y/n insists it could have gone worse.
⚠️Bigass trigger warning⚠️: Verbal abuse, emotional manipulation, blood, mention of alcohol abuse and suicide
Anna lived her life believing that she was the main character, constantly denying personhood to everyone around her. She was the romantic hero, and everyone else existed to forward her plot.
This metaphor was imperfect, however, because in all the books you'd read, the main character must overcome some kind of challenge. Nobody ever said no to Anna. Nobody ever criticized Anna. Nobody but you. So you were pigeonholed into the role of antagonist for it. You had to give her credit; growing up on the receiving end of her and Theresa's torture was a compelling villain origin story.
It was obvious that she only wanted you at her wedding to present her with an obstacle. Heaven forbid her story progress without some semblance of petty drama out of her control. She'd cornered you into a painful catch-22; you wanted vengeance, but you couldn't give her the satisfaction of having her special day ruined. What was your play? Ruin it just a little? Walk away?
These thoughts passed through your mind as you sat through the boring ceremony. You wanted to lean over and whisper everything to Hannibal, but he seemed lost in his own thoughts. The vows seemed to drag on forever. Liam's English accent grated on your ears and you wished that he would just shut the hell up.
The ceremony concluded and you hoped to skip out on the reception with a purse full of mini cannolis, but fate had other plans. In a last-minute reach for some kind of scene, the blushing bride waved you over to the head table.
"[F/N]!" Anna shouted, with a big smile across her face. "Come on!"
You fought the urge to feel endeared by this. She looked too happy to be harmful. Your guard was all the way up as you and Hannibal approached the table.
Hannibal pulled a seat out for you while you studied Anna's expression. She fixed her doe eyes on Hannibal. You knew from experience that Anna had the same powerlust as grandma and Theresa. She was just better at keeping a lid on it.
"[F/N], you remember Liam?" Anna said, her voice brimming with excitement.
"Yeah." You nodded, scooting your chair up. "Nice to see you again, Liam."
"Good to see you again, too [F/N]."
"Liam is from Birmingham." She bragged, her smile somehow growing wider.
"Alabama?" You piped up before taking a drink from your water glass.
Every time you were forced to interact with Liam, she reminded you that the man with the strong and unmistakable English accent, was in fact from England. And every time, you slipped in the Alabama comment. It was never not funny.
"Liam, Anna," you said. "This is my fiance, Dr. Hannibal Lecter."
"Many congratulations to you two." Hannibal offered.
"Dr. Lecter, thank you so much for coming." Anna returned. "And thank you for taking such good care of our precious [F/N]. I hope she's not giving you too much trouble. She was quite a handful growing up, but we made it work."
"Don't flatter yourself, you're only four years older than me." You hide your passive-aggressive jab beneath a smile. "You can't take credit for a job you didn't do."
Grandma always thought Anna's protective, borderline maternal behavior towards you was adorable. Of course, it disgusted you. You were little more than an accessory to her. A baby doll she could simulate motherhood with. But, in fairness to her, that was all you were to the adult in the house too. Monkey see, monkey do.
"So have you two set a date yet?" Grandma interrupted your thoughts, just trying to keep the tension down.
"Goodness, no." Hannibal answered. "Ours is a long-term engagement."
"Yeah." You added. "Not until I finish school."
"Well, it's not my fault you aren't expected to graduate on time." Grandma said into her wine.
You tightened your grip on your water glass. "Well, changing your major halfway through will do that."
"I'm just saying," Grandma continued. Whenever she was 'just saying' anything, you knew she was raring to stir things up. "If you had just stayed the engineering track, you wouldn't have to keep Hannibal waiting."
"Well!" Anna cut in, offended that the attention was off her for more than a minute. "Liam and I waited until after college."
"Yes, Anna," Grandma said dismissively, before turning back to you. "Y'know, Dr. Lecter here could probably tell you that psychologically speaking, women are more likely to drop out of college and become strippers when they change their majors?"
Now it was Hannibal's turn to down his entire glass of wine. "Ms. [L/N], where did you get that information?"
"Oh, it was an article I found on Facebook." Grandma answered. "I'll have [F/N] send you a link."
"Ms. [L/N]," Hannibal cleared his throat. "Are you familiar with the concept of misinformation?"
"Of course." She looked offended at the implication that she could possibly not know something.
"See, social media websites like Facebook are inundated with misinformation campaigns." Hannibal explained. "Your claim is not rooted in any psychological fact."
"Yeah, also," You cut in. You scanned the area for escape routes if your attempt to change the subject went awry. "There's a wonderful documentary about how Facebook misinformation campaigns targeted rural counties in England leading up to the Brexit vote."
"Oh, we have a funny story about Brexit." Anna interrupted, taking the bait, hook line and sinker.
Before she could recount the same boring anecdote about being at some regional chain restaurant when the vote was cast, Theresa and her husband joined the table.
"Sorry we're late," Theresa sat down. "Damage control is a twenty-four hour job. What were we talking about?"
"Misinformation." Liam said.
"Perfect timing." You muttered.
"Finally, all three of my girls are together again." Grandma threw her head back and rejoiced. "When was the last time we all got together? Just us four girls, huh?"
"Remember the day before prom, we all went out go get manicures?" Anna reminisced. "And we took pictures of us all dressed up?"
"Oh I remember." You scanned the area for any alcohol to ingest.
"Oh, this is so funny." Grandma laughed hysterically. "Dr. Lecter, did you hear this story? [F/N] went to the prom with a boy who had all along been using her to get close to Theresa! They got together that night! Dated for two whole years after that."
"I've heard an iteration of it." He said, looking over his shoulder. He flagged down a waiter who was holding a bottle of champagne. "Leave the bottle, please."
"Don't drink too much, [F/N]." Anna scolded. "Save some alcohol for the rest of us."
You made sure to maintain eye contact with her as you filled your flute to capacity. "Grandma's paying, isn't she?"
"Anna, baby," Grandma said, rubbing her temples. "It's fine. Let [F/N] drink herself silly. It's a party, right?"
"Wow," Theresa sneered. You knew exactly what she was going to say next. "Like mother, like daughter."
Everyone at the table had enough decorum to recognize that Theresa went too far. You crushed the champagne flute in your grip, letting shards of glass dig into your skin. You glared at Theresa, blood oozing from your palm and dripping onto the white tablecloth.
Wordlessly, Hannibal removed the offending glass from your hand and swaddled the affected area in a napkin. He put pressure on the cut, letting the blood absorb into the cloth.
"Is this the famed '[L/N] woman telepathy'?" Liam whispered to Anna.
"No, [F/N] is just mad because her mother was a drunk who killed herself." Anna thought she was being inconspicuous.
"This has been fun." You stand up from the table. "Really. Great way to spend a Saturday."
"[F/N], sit down..." Grandma ordered, sounding exhausted. "You know Theresa didn't mean that."
"No." You said, each syllable out of her mouth pushing you a step closer to your breaking point. "Y'know what? No. I don't have to put up with this anymore. Anna, congratulations. I hope you and Liam have many long years together."
You turned around to exit as quietly as you could, Hannibal at your side. Your grandmother, who somehow hadn't hit her daily allotted dose of confrontation, wouldn't have it.
"Dr. Lecter, tell [F/N] she's being unreasonable." Grandma pleaded.
Hannibal raised his eyebrows in genuine surprise. In his long-spanning career, he'd never once met a person as tone-deaf as Beatrice [L/N]. He kept his quiet composure as he slowly approached the table.
"Beatrice," he said, beckoning her to lean in. He whispered something into her ear that left her stunned and quaking.
You could hear your grandmother's hysterical sobs growing softer as Hannibal hurried you out.
"Keep pressure on that cut, love." He instructed, talking over the increasingly loud shouts of agony from the head table. "You'll need a few stitches."
Once you were far enough from the venue, you had to ask. "What on earth did you say to her?"
"Nothing that you don't already know." He answered, facing forward.
