Batman and Barry are having a calm–if not even a nice conversation when it happens. They’re walking around the Watchtower, talking about the League’s next mission, and that’s when Barry’s face drops, and points to something ahead of them. 

It’s Wally. On one knee. With a small black box in his hand. Dick is in front of him.

They both stop and stare. 

Wally is speaking.

“Richard ‘Dick’,” Wally wiggles his eyebrows suggestively, and Barry wants to die, “Grayson-Wayne, will you do me the honors of being my favorite baby-girl for the rest of my life, and marry the Wall-man?” 

Barry wants to die. He wants to be dead. He wants to dig a 10-foot hole, and cover himself in the dirt, and stay there forever. He can’t even gauge how his face looks right now, and he does not want to look at Batman. The Bat. The guy who decided to dress up as a Man-Bat, go out, and terrorize the criminals of Gotham as a hobby. And his nephew, his loving, funny, fucking stupid, nephew, Wally, just proposed to Batman’s kid. And called himself the “Wall-man” and called the Batkid his “favorite baby girl.”

Dick just said yes.

Barry was not ready to be related to Batman.

How about some high school Dick and Wally

Wally fell faster, Dick fell harder.

Wally start developing feelings the first time they go on patrol with just the two of them. There was just something about watching the gears in Dick's head turning as he disabled a booby trap.

Dick wouldn't return the feelings until over year later, when they're watching a movie at the Manor and Wally dozed off halfway through, mumbling in his sleep.

They were each other's date to junior prom at both of their schools.

Dick picked Wally up in Central City on a cloaked Bat-plane and took him to dinner at an upscale place Bruce recommended, but they quickly realized that wasn't their style and slipped out to get pizza instead, even if it meant missing the first half hour of the dance.

Wally ran to Gotham, but to maintain their identities, rented a minivan to pick Dick up from the Manor because the rental place was all out of limos. He decorated it with some cardboard and paint for that extra romantic touch. Bruce wasn't pleased but Dick thought it was hilarious.

They also got part-time jobs to keep their covers (and get some experience).

Wally was a science tutor and Dick often made the trip just to pretend he didn't know what the periodic table was.

Dick worked at a fast food joint and always wrote his number on Wally's receipt with "call me" underneath.

Back in their day, queer people were still nearly unheard of and coming to terms with it, especially as a teenager, was way more difficult. Even though Bruce and Barry would be accepting, the idea of telling them was no less daunting.

A few months into dating Wally, Dick devised a multi-step plan to butter Bruce up and tell him. It included doing all the chores, ordering Bruce's favorite meal, an hour-long queer history presentation with cited sources, Barbara as his hype woman, and a fallback plan where he'd escape to a safehouse. None of that ended up happening, because before Dick could execute it, Bruce told him all about his own past with guys.

Wally came out a little later and a lot more impulsively, blurting it out while he and Barry were in the car before jumping out and speeding down the highway. Barry caught up to him an hour later in another city and assured him that everything was okay. Though, Barry wasn't thrilled about the prospect of hanging around Bruce more than he already had to.

Dick thought it'd be a good idea to sign up for debate. Wally warned him about getting overcompetitive but Dick didn't listen. Nonetheless, Wally didn't mind staying up to help organize flashcards and rehearse before a big meet.

For some reason, Wally joined band and picked the French horn. The teacher wasn't great and neither of the boys knew the first thing about how a French horn worked. At one point, Dick tried to straighten it into a regular horn in the Batcave while Wally contemplated dropping the class.

Arcade dates! Sometimes they went head-to-head. Other times, they worked in sync just like on the field. And they'd always win prizes for each other. One time they didn't win much, so they pretended to propose to each other with Ring Pops.

Another kind of date they enjoyed was teaching each other new things. Wally absorbed new information really fast and regurgitated it back when they hung out. Dick, meanwhile, had a more physical love language and liked to guide Wally's hands in guitar or batarang lessons.

Dick saved Wally's contact as "Roadrunner" and Wally saved Dick's as "Lightning Rod."

Birdflash 50 First Dates AU

just thinking of this Dick and Wally AU wherein after Wally escapes the Speed Force, he gets memory loss. so every time Wally wakes up, he thinks it's the same day that he got trapped into the Force.

it was also the same day of their anniversary; Dick was planning to bring Wally to Paris and Wally was planning to propose to Dick. it was a lovely and peaceful morning, until Wally along with the other speedsters were called to a mission related to the Force. Wally promised that he would be back and that they would finish celebrating their anniversary. Dick was always hopeful. i mean Jason came back. Bruce came back. Wally always came back.

except for that day.

yes, Wally did come back. after several tries. after several research and studies. after several hopes. after several months. after several breakdowns and tears.

but Wallly has memory loss. he doesn't remeber his life before. he is stuck in this bittersweet loop of his and Dick's anniversary, but has that painful feeling that he is going to disappear.

everyone helps Wally in regaining his memories back. J'onn helps by digging in his consciousness while Zatanna helps through magic, playing scenes that happened throughout his life. and Dick helps through story telling and comfort and love. he tells stories about how they both met, their many memorable missions with the Teen Titans, when Dick became Nightwing because Wally was one of the first people who knew, how they confessed their love for each other, their dates and travels, their recent missions as Titans and when they started becoming official and living together.

once they figured out that he would forget every time he sleeps, Dick decides to capture their present moments through camera and makes them into tapes. when Wally wakes up, he sees the tapes by the bedside table and plays it so he can catch up with his present life.

Wally eventually gets better as each day passes. he still watches those tapes with Dick and they cry about it.

I have like, half an hour before I need to leave for work, and I wanted to share this AU I have.

Basically, Dick had a daughter at 15, though he didn't know until his daughter was 6 and he was 21. When he meets her, it's under unfortunate circumstances, and he easily agrees to take her in because what else would he do? Let his only child go into Gotham's foster care system that more often than not turned out to be human trafficking rings? Absolutely not.

So he ends up going back to Bludhaven with this 6 year old child he doesn't know anything about and gets to know her. Haley loves her, he loves her, she loves them, and it's great.

Her name is Roxy Grayson, and she's a lot like Dick was when he was nine. She lost a parent and was pulled away from what she knew, and into a new world. Naturally, he guides her through her grief and even has some pictures of her mom around so that she always has a piece of the woman with her.

Dick can't help but spoil his little girl, but he makes sure that she is still kind and has manners and doesn't get her things if she has a tantrum, only ignores her. Though, she hardly ever has a tantrum, only once or twice while she's still working through her grief.

And this is Birdflash, too. Wally's in the speedforce at this point, and Wally and Dick had been dating before Wally disappeared, so Dick was kinda depressed when he lost Wally. He's still depressed, but Roxy's his reason to get up every day, his reason to heal and come home uninjured after patrol.

Roxy asks about the red-haired man in the pictures. Dick smiles sadly and tells her about him. How he had loved him, how he'd died to save people, and how Wally had proposed a few weeks before his death. Roxy starts to refer to this man in the pictures as 'Dad' and the first time she does it, it makes Dick break down crying. Roxy's confused until he says that Wally would have absolutely adored Roxy.

Then Wally comes back, and Dick's breaking down crying in his arms. He introduces Wally to Roxy with teary eyes, and Roxy simply goes "hi, dad" and Wally's crying too. He immediately pulls her in for a hug and takes on the role that Roxy had given him, and he loves it.

Roxy looks like Dick, as if someone cloned him but made the clone female. Her facial shape is all her mother though, so is her quick wit and sarcasm. As she grows into a teenager and an adult, she proves that she's her mother's daughter, but also her father's daughter.

Then there's Lydia.

She was an experiment, like Conner. She was to see if people could take DNA from two people of the same gender and combine it to create a unique individual with the opposite gender. Wally and Dick had been kidnapped and their DNA taken together, so it was only natural that their DNA was combined.

Meta genes messed with the experiments, so when they found out about Wally's meta genes (they didn't look into what it did, they wanted to see if they could create a daughter out of Wally and Dick's DNA) they took out the meta genes. This experiment, unlike all of the other ones, succeeded, and they kept Lydia with them.

She was only 2 months old when YJ busted the operation and took Lydia with them to find her parents.

Tim became protective of her when he realised that she was technically his niece.

He took Lydia (who was unnamed at that point in time) and the files that were kept on her to Dick and Wally. He explained everything to the couple, and they instantly decided that Lydia was theirs. Roxy met her too, and refused to let her little sister go anywhere else.

By the end of the week, Lydia Grayson-West was officially in the government's legal system thanks to Diana, Clark and Bruce, who all met her and fell in love with her just like they had with Roxy.

Lydia looks like Wally, with his freckles and red hair and green eyes, but she's more Dick personality wise than anything else. She's smart, like both of her parents, and as she grows older they discover that she has a love for gymnastics like Dick and Roxy did.

Roxy loves Lydia, and Lydia loves Roxy. They would hang out with Kori who was basically their aunt and they would have girls nights and Roxy would always give Lydia a piggyback ride if she asked.

They're a happy little family, and nothing could change that.

“What do you-” Wally came to a full stop, staring at Robin. “Holy shit, Batman’s gonna be so mad.”

After a moment of reveling in his easy victory, Wally turns to the source of the noise. Just in time to see Dick falling, gloved hands fumbling for a spare grappling hook he doesn’t have.

Shit.

Wally has a date. A real date. And he's more than a little nervous and so he decides to go to his best bro for some advice. Dick proposes a 'practice date'.

Robin and Kid Flash are best friends. They have always been best friends. But now, almost a year after the team formed, things between them are getting - tense. In a whole lot of ways. If there's a chance for something more, then there's a lot of teenage bullshit to get through first. Including: too much junk food, shitty school dances, late night escapades, and bubblegum lip balm.

Roy: not really, I think we manage time well enough.

Wally: I guess that makes sense starting out so young and all, next question what do you think is your biggest strength?

Roy, elbow Dick:

Dick and Roy: falling in love fast.

Wally, confused: okay... Weird, but what is your biggest weakness?

"Okay, I have decided." Dick said suddenly standing up.

"What?" Marinette, who just wanted to read in peace, asked

"I am gonna propose Wally."

"Finally, I thought I would have to do it for you. That you didn't even had the balls to do so."

Dick pouted "I just needed the perfect moment."

"Yeah, and your perfect moment is..?" Marinette raised an eyebrow

"I don't know, but I will know when the moment will arrive. So I am just gonna start with picking out the ring."

"Okay then, all the best!! Choose the perfect ring."

"You are not coming with me." Dick gave his best puppy eyes, which he knew Mari can't say no to. That stupid idiot, using her weakness to his gain.

"Ughhh, fine let's go."

"Yayy!"

"I hate you."

"Love you too sis."

~At the ring store~

"Hey! How can I help you?" A cheerful voice greeted them

"I wanna look for an engagement ring for my boyfriend." Dick answered excited by even the thought of it

"Ooh, what'll be your budget be?"

"Show me the best ring."

"And can you describe your boyfriend's personality? I can help you find the perfect ring."

"He is amazing, and lights up any room he is in. He is also ready to sacrifice his life if the time calls for it. He is really brave and intelligent. He is a chill and easygoing guy. He is really selfless. He always puts others before him. I just love him." Dick explained with a lovestruck look in his eyes.

"Your boyfriend sounds incredible!"

"He really is."

"Follow me I'll show you some rings."

"Okay, let's go. Come on Snow."

"Here we are. If you need something else or don't like the ring tell me! I will be just over there!"

"Woah all of these are amazing."

"I know right. I think I will propose Roy too."

"Right now you are here to help me."

"I know, I know. So let's look for the ring."

"Hmm, it's hard. I like them, but they just don't give me Wally vibes, you know? A ring that would look good on Wally. A ring he would love" Dick began looking at all the rings. After all the ring should be best ring anyone has ever seen

"He would love that you proposed." Marinette said thoughtfully. "Look at those, they look nice!!" She pointed at a secluded section.

"Where?"

"There!" Dick followed her line of sight and surely there were two of the most gorgeous ring he had ever seen.

"Woah" he really liked all of them but one particular one caught his eye. It was a gold ring with diamonds, sapphires and rubies in the corner and big sapphire in the middle.

"This is it!! It's perfect!!"

"You finally found it!? Show me! Oooh, it's beautiful."

"I know!!"

"Let's go then."

"Yea! Just lemme pay."

And that's how Dick found a perfect ring to propose to his perfect boyfriend at a perfect moment.
