Hadie Headcanons revised;

Hadie is just a nickname. His actual name is Hayden Prometheus Olympian.

He is 8 years younger than Mal.

He is constantly following and mimicking people-- including Mal, his dad, Harry Hook, Gil, Uma, and the Badun Detective Agency.

He's a nice, easily excitable, hyper little boy who just wants to help anyone he can.

He wants to be a detective, musician, and/or cook more than anything.

His mom is likely Maleficent, the wicked witch, or Persphone.

He has a long list of nicknames including, but not limited to; Hadie, Mini-Me, Flameo, Flamey, Flameo Junior, Hades Junior, Death breath, the flame prince, the fire prince, the prince of the underground, the prince of true underworld , little prince, little flame, little blue, blue, the Olympian flame, little blue, the little blue boy, the Olympian prince, and Cebrus boy.

He wears blue and black eyeliner -- alternating the colors depending on the day.

He learned how to sword fight from Uma and is one of her favorite kids on the isle.

Hadie, unlike Mal, isn't allergic to spices, so he can eat as much as anyone allows him to.

He likes spicy candy alot and has a high tolerance for it.

He likes blue food and drinks, and anything his dad, sister, and Uma cook.

His favorite meal is a noodle mix that Mal makes him all the time.

Hadie's favorite desert to eat is a vanilla blueberry swirl cone with sprinkles and chocolate squace. Harry, Herkie, and Ben can't say no to him, so he gets it all the time.

He is a bit of a pyromaniac, which surprises no one and he also loves flowers alot.

He calls cebrus 'Spot', despite Hades best efforts at correcting him. Because of this, Cebrus responds to both names.

Hadie lives above his dad's restaurant, which is near his dad's cave.

He sometimes helps out at his dad's restaurant and around the palace once he's off the isle when the staff allows him to.

He went to Dragon Hall on the isle.

Hadie's favorite classes are Orchestra , Wicked Economics, Artists and Thieves, Weird Science, Tall Tales and the Tellers Who Tell Them. He is also in the Anti-heroes club (like the Baduns) and the Sea Ponies club (like Uma is). He also likes astrology.

Hadie's ridiculously innocent for an isle kid.

Ben ends up buying Hadie a bike when the barrier is brought down. Hades nearly had a heart attack.

Hadie gets along with his dad's side if the family surprising well because they all find him adorable.

Hadie has always secretly wanted to meet Meg, Hercules, and their kids. Mainly Meg because his dad and Pain and Panic talk about her often, so he knows how cool she would be.

The first time he met Ben, he immediately took an liking to him. Something Hades doesn't like.

One day, while out for Icecream with Mal and Ben, they got swarmed by popularity and Hadie-- shy little Hadie who doesn't like loud noises and bright lights-- runs off to escape it. He gets lost and runs into this lady with brown hair and her teenage son, and they help him find his sister. They tell him jokes to keep him calm as they do so. And that's how Hadie met Meg and Herkie. Meg quickly becomes Cousin Meg after this (since she married Hadie's cousin, Hercules).

Hadie likes the way Harry Hook does his make up and even copies the look, much to his dad's charge. Harry thinks it's hilarious, even if it annoyed him at first.

Pain and Panic are like his uncles.

Hades doesn't really keep that close an eye on Hadie other than to keep him alive.

Hadie is terrified of Maleficent. A fear he ends up sharing with his bestfriends- Chloe Charming, Red Hearts, Danny Darling, and Maddox, the Madhatter's son, when the barrier is brought down.

It's an unspoken rule on the isle that if you want to stay in one piece, you'll keep your hands off Hadie. No one has ever laid a hand on Hadie and gotten away with it. Mal, The Badun Detective Agency, whoever his mom is, and Hades always find out and it no one knows how.

He suspects it either came from Gil or Mal. He's not too sure though.

He looks up to Mal and the other members of the Core Four after what they did in Auardon. But he also looks up to Uma’s crew and the Badun Detective Agency.

He also wants to beba Detective.

He has a stuffed, makeshift Cerberus. Meaning a stuffed dog with two other stuffed dog heads sewn on it. He doesn't know where it came from because he just found it on his bed one day.

He accidentally found out that Mal was his sister not long after he learned to read. He found Mal's birth certificate hidden under the couch. He was 5. He promised his father he'd never tell anyone.

He had to literally beg and plead with Yin Sid so he could join the Anti heroes club even though it was technically his idea because of how young he is.

He knows basic self-defense (taught to him by Uma and the Badun Detective Agency) and is good at climbing things/ as well as parkour.

Hadie likes cooking, punk music, dogs, skulls, fire, and learning about his dad's side of the family.

He wears scruffed up, dirty, and torn up black sneakers that are in better condition than most people's on the isle as well as ripped up (slightly baggy) blue jeans, a black leather jacket that his dad says "he'll grow into" that goes down at his knees at the moment, and a black tshirt with a skull on it.

Hadie sometimes models for Evie's designs.

Evie is the one who made Hadie's jacket. It was a favor she owned Harry back when she was vanished.

Only 5 people know this; Hadie, Evie, Harry, Hades, and Uma.

Hadie is one of the only children on the isle who has toys. No one is stupid enough to try and steal them.

Mal, Uma, Yzla, and Freddie are trying to teach him magic. He likes this very much.

He also loves the circus to death because Herkie took him one time.

Which means you can often find Queen Mal, King Ben, Hades, Hercules, Meg, Herkie, and Hadie sitting together at the circus. Hadie also inherited his family's knack for exploring and their curiosity. Which causes a few heart attacks.

He likes making potions, cooking, baking, playing on the playground, rooftops, the arcade, and by the docks. He also likes pulling pranks, something he picked up from Uma and Mal. However, his pranks are more harmless unlike theirs.

He loves playing with animals and stargazing too. He also likes listening and playing music, and playing with toys. Especially stuffed animals.

He loved acting, plays, and dressing up as well as coloring, drawing, spray painting, painting, and basically any form of art.

He doesn't know how to swim because Uma is too scared about what will happen if his hair goes out.

He's allergic to shrimp. He couldn't hug Uma for a month after thr shrimp incident without passing out. Which is another reason why Uma didn't forgive Mal for a very long time.

Oh, and Diego also taught Hadie how to swear on accident. Yeah, that was not a fun night for him.

Hadie is scared of lightning. And sea monsters. And Zeus.

Harry use to sneak Hadie into Evie's room back when she was banished so she could have some company. Somewhere out there, in one of Harry's note books, there's a picture of a 10 year old Harry and a 10 year old Evie laughing together with a 2 year old Hadie in between them, giggling during one of these visits. No one knows that that picture exists except for Harry, Hades, and Evie.

Oh and after the barrier is brought down, Diego tries to teach little Hadie how to drive using Cruella's car. It does not end well because Hadie is short since he's nowhere near old enough to drive. So they crash through a wall and the whole thing ends up pinned on Diego. He did not have a good few weeks after that.

Hadie is usually left to his own devices on the isle. That changes quickly when the barrier is brought down, much to his disappointment.

He also has a little villian phase in his teens though no one takes him seriously in his later years. Especially not the Badun Detective Agency.

He constantly yells as a teenager that the Badun Agency is ruining his street cred.

His 4 bestfriends also do not take him seriously about the evil thing and drag him along on their little adventure.

He constantly banters and roughhousing with Danny Darling every chance he gets. Much to Red, Maddox, and Chloe's annoyance.

He also has his own villian song (see Chris villian on YouTube).

Ben not seeing the love potion as malicious is actually so important to me. Because why would he think someone giving a love potion would have ill intentions for him? Sure, he's heard of the heroes horrific pasts but those are just stories of the ye ole' days the adults share. He's the result of the Happily Ever After, things like that don't happen anymore. All the evil-doers are put away. He believes all the Isle Kids have that same kind of experience. Of course he'd just think Mal was actually this shy girl who was too afraid to ask him out. He wants to see the best in her; he sees the best in everyone.

Mal, on the other hand, knows just how wrong it is. She never, ever corrects him on his assumption of her having a crush on him and being too afraid to ask him out. Because why would she want to do that? Making him understand the implications of a love potions just drags him into her world, into the Isle where stuff like that was always malicious.

Obviously I don't condone Mal's actions, and the implications of a potion that makes someone obsessed ("love") with another person is something from a fucking horror novel. I just think it makes sense (in-universe) that he'd never think that she had malicious intentions and that she would never want to tell him.

Your brutally honest thoughts on Lonnie (and her family) in the Descendants franchise?

My brutally honest thoughts are that she’s a plot device turned love interest who can be summed up as “badass girlboss swordgirl”. And Mulan reference. I like Lonnie, but she doesn’t really have a character arc for me to talk about nor is she a big enough character to really need one. She’s the start of Mal’s little hair business in the first movie and inspires Jane to rip her dress, which is a joke for exactly one scene. It’s a show of Jane doing things she normally wouldn’t to fit in. She’s copying others’ behavior, which leads to her copying Audrey’s mean streak later on, which gets the hair reversed, which makes her grab the wand. The only thing Lonnie really does in the first movie is come into the kitchen and cry over the idea that villains don’t love their kids (because that “in their own way” is bullshit and all five of them know it). Second movie we have a sexism plot and Lonnie is a badass swordsman, and implied romance between Jay and Lonnie because it looks like they went to the cotillion together, but nothing’s for sure. She’s an actual character now, but her story is just a smaller-scale version of her mom’s. Without any of the stakes, I guess, but it’s high school. They’re both denied a chance to fight (in a war for someone who will absolutely die vs in high school fencing) and they get in anyways by hiding that they’re a girl. Lonnie wears a mask and beats people at fencing before revealing it’s her, Mulan does a full-on undercover mission. I would’ve liked it more if they gave Lonnie a parallel to another fairy tail, since mini-Mulan feels a little uninspired. Switching it up would be fun, like Evie and Dough having a role reversal sleeping beauty when their parents are from SW&7D.

Li’l Shang… idk how to feel about the name I can’t not see this as a bad rapper name. It reminds me of lil’ kleine, specifically one song of his that makes me cringe. Why did he have to go with that nickname instead of literally anything else? Because his actual name is Li Shang Jr. which is very inspired and creative, Disney :/. At least Gaston has his solar system sized ego as an excuse, and the fact that he’s from France. Every Western European country I know of picks whatever name they think sounds the best (I don’t know enough about Eastern European naming conventions to say anything definitively). Mulan and Li Shang are Chinese, though. From what I know Chinese spend a lot of time and care on picking a name, I doubt they’d just tack Jr on it and call it a day. Now that I’m done with the interesting stuff… Li’l Shang accidentally sets up a training date between his little sister and Jay in the novel, and that’s the only significant thing he does. He’s there to help Jay with R.O.A.R as assistant coach and I guess to throw in that joke about asians always being better at stuff since he’s gonna go back to Northern Wei to launch his hip hop career and rule at the same time.

Hiatus update!

Partially over, whoo!

I'm mainly doing art again, as seen by those who got doodle requests. I'm not fully open though as commissions are still backlogged (hopefully open again mid March), and I'm still fighting a flu. Hence the now taking a break for the rest of the weekend probably apart from partially done doodles that I started before ipad died.

Game plan once flu is cleared is to move back to writing. I have a way bigger backlog for that, so unfortunately y'all will still have to wait for updates on that.

Info updates:

Auradon's Renaissance - three chapters left for part 1. Can at least guarantee to be posted before June 2024.

Styx Sworn - Outline still pending.

Protector of the Valley - outline almost finished, should start posting the completed 3 chapters by July 2024!

I'm writing a book! Like, a real one! We all got influenced by Percy Jackson, I know, I know, but being obsessed with world mythology for so long, I'd been working on an outline for about five years already...plenty of research left but this project is my main baby and I hope it goes well!

Not a question but I remember you posting something like why they refused to Shang as Lonnie's father when introducing her. So, I found these:

So do you think it's very weird what Disney is doing to their own characters?

In terms of Descendants? Yes. Like, what they did ANY Disney character they introduced was weird in general. Let's use the most obvious example: Beast and Belle. Beauty and The Beast showed Belle as pretty much the hero who doesn't take Beast's shit to the point she shuts him up when attending to his injury when he thinks he can win the argument, and we see Beast slowly soften over the movie as he slowly falls for Belle and even in the village, Belle basically called out Gaston's shit and prior to all that, she did pretty openly tell Gaston he has a backwards way of thinking ("Gaston you are positivity primeval."), and Beast's curse eventually broke because he learned to love another and earned her love in return.

Cut to Descendants....where suddenly, Belle isn't openly calling shit out and is basically just there a-lot of the times, not even opposing Beast's decision to imprison children on an Isle and not even supporting Ben at Family Day, allowing Beast to lead Belle away. And then you cut to Beast who....look, did this man get cursed again??? Because only explanation I'll take for why the heck this man thought it was okay to leave children imprisoned on the Isle and even briefly appose Ben's idea before Belle, in her one moment of OG Belle personality, points out she gave Beast a chance. And that's just ignoring how they proceed to treat their son in D2-D3...aka favoring Mal over him....

And like, other examples include: Leah, who they turned from a women who tried to calm the situation with Maleficent by thanking Maleficent at first, clearly being kind-hearted, to....a women who willingly emotionally abuses her grandchild and Aurora and Phillip let this happen. Fairy Godmother, someone whose meant to help people, including kids, in need, also willingly went along with imprisoning children and was in favor of Mal's choice in D3, also got ruined. Only pro is her maybe in D1 and her relationship with Jane, that's fine. Snow White....look, we didn't see much off her, so.... Cinderella apparently is fine with the way Chad acts, as is Cinderella's prince, but again, we can assume they have a good relationship with D3 Chad wanting Cinderella in wake of Ben finding him in the closet. Mulan and Shang....honestly, they sound okay. They sound like they taught Lonnie good values and seemed to have learnt from the OG Mulan film, and I will accept them going by Fa family, cause really, Mulan's the hero of China....but confused on why the family tree says 'Fa Mulan' and 'Li Shang' like....are they married or....

And don't get me started on the villains. They can't even make their mind up on Maleficent's fucking title, let alone why the fuck Jafar has been turned into a joke now when he was creepy and scary as shit in OG Aladdin and Cruella is maybe the only scary villain of the four at this rate, not gonna lie. We barley saw Ursula, can't say much on Hook beyond a cameo in the books and Gaston never appeared in either medium. Dr. Facilier and Smee are maybe the only ones to make sense to make sympathetic and good parents, but do not TRY to make Tremaine sympathetic. Bitch is one of the most abusive stepmoms in Disney history for a reason. And Hades....no, no. Don't get me started. I don't wanna go into a long rant, but they did him so dirty and basically had the audacity to use him to justify freeing literal villains from the Isle...

Love how I replied to Disney Channel's post with a thread asking them to be respectful to Cameron and Carlos and the characters and actors who built the franchise and not toss them aside (yes, I once again mentioned continuing their stories in books) someone felt the need to tell me no one cares or will read it 🙃

It was basically asking them to not kill off Carlos but not ignoring him either. Like, if they talk about the other Rotten to the Core Four, mention what he's doing in passing. They obviously should not recast but they don't have to toss him and the others aside to restart the franchise in a way that doesn't have to acknowledge him or the others who won't act without Cameron that aren't being forced into it (Side note: please leave China alone, she's most likely being forced into this. A lot of the other replies to the announcement I replied to where along the lines of "I thought she retired? Paycheck must be big, lolz"

Sorry, it's the middle of the night and I really should be going to sleep but I made the mistake to check the Twitter notification and that was there and now I'm bummed out. I mean, it's not like I'm a big account or anything, so I dont get many interactions, and so many of the ones I do are random people saying my opinions on what shows and movies should do is dumb, and it's just really bringing me down so I came for my once a year vent on my tumblr

Mickey Mouse does not need your protection

Since Mickey Mouse became public domain, I’ve seen some really wild takes and misinformation going around. Yes, Mickey Mouse is public domain. No, you do not need to protect him. It’s fine if people other than Disney make Mickey Mouse stuff, even if you don’t like the things that are made.

You are not protecting Mickey Mouse. Mickey Mouse is not real. Even if he was, you STILL wouldn’t be protecting him. You’re just sticking up for a megacorporation. Disney has more money and resources than you will ever have and they horde them. You shouldn’t be trying to help them do it.

Disney is a company that loves using public domain properties to make things. They have just tried their absolute hardest to make sure that nobody else could do the same thing. If you think Mickey Mouse should only be used by Disney, you should be upset that Disney made money off public domain stories like Snow White and Rapunzel.

What about things like Winnie the Pooh? Disney didn’t come up with him but they were happy to make money off him. They bought the rights to him and then didn’t share.

‘Ah!’ I hear you say. ‘But Winnie the Pooh actually helps prove our point! When Disney – that poor poor super rich company that should be protected – lost the exclusive rights, a Winnie the Pooh horror movie was made! That’s not in the spirit of the original character!’

Firstly, you can just ignore that movie if you want. I did. Nobody is making you watch it. You are responsible for your own media consumption.

Secondly, there are nice Winnie the Pooh stories out there that aren’t by Disney or the original author. The Pooh books by Jane Riordan are lovely. Her stories are much more in the spirit of the original character than a lot of the Disney comics were.

One of them is sweet, kind and in the spirit of the original character. The other is Disney owned and approved.

What would the original author A.A. Milne think of the different adaptions and new works? Well, we don’t know because, at the end of the month, he’ll have been dead for 68 years. However, I can quote one of the original Pooh books about sharing,

And really, it wasn’t much good having anything exciting like floods, if you couldn’t share them with somebody.

Thirdly, Disney does not respect authorial intent.

PL Travers, the author of the Mary Poppins books, did not want Disney to make a movie based on her work. She got coerced into letting them make one. She hated the movie and refused to let them make any more.

What happened after she’d died, the ban on them making more Mary Poppies movies ran out and they got their hands on the rights? They made a sequel.

I think you should be more upset that Disney went against the direct wishes of an author than the fact regular people can now use a character that megacorporation uses. PL Travers was a person. Disney is a company. There is a difference.

I love the original Mary Poppins movie. I don’t care about or like the sequel. However, PL Travers died in 1996. People should be able to use the character now, no matter how you or I feel about those newer stories. Again, you can just ignore them if you want.

The original stories are still there.

Royalties are different to public domain. The profits from PL Travers original books go to her descendants and the Cherry Tree Foundation. They will continue to go there for 80 years after her death and then the royalties will be shared out among any decedents who are alive at that time. The money from those books will continue to go there, no matter what new stories with Mary Poppins get made.

You all seem okay with Disney making money off public domain stories and buying the rights to other stories. Why can't you extend that right to other people?

No one has stolen Mickey from Disney. Disney can and will continue to make money off him. All that’s change is that other people can now do that too.

Ginny Gothel Headcanons revised;

Trigger warning for child abuse and near death experiences.

Her full name is Ginerva Flower Gothel in honor of the flower her lost because of Rapunzel's birth. She hates it with a passion.

It's also kind of ironic considering the fact that she's allergic to most types of flowers.

Ginny is tall and slim with frizzy black hair and grayish-blue eyes.

She is a couple months older than Harriet.

She also DOES NOT get along with her mother like AT ALL.

No, seriously, they are constantly fighting and the fights get violent 70% of the time.

Ginny has two younger brothers named Mason and Glenn . They're twins. As well as an older sister named Cassandra (from Tangled the series), who she loves dearly despite the fact they drive her mad half the time.

She also gets along well with her sister's two friends, Hugo and Varian. And the Stabbington twins surprisingly.

She cannot say the same about Cassandra's ex, Andrew. She does NOT like him at all.

Varian, Cassandra, Hugo, and the Stabbington brothers taught her everything she knew.

She and Cassandra are as close as siblings can be on the isle.

Despite giggling about Harriet's ugly dress, she does consider the pirate captain a friend . She's even apart of her crew.

She gets sea sick, which is funny considering she is almost always on the ship.

She is the chef mate of the Queen's Fury because she's one of the few people who know how to cook on the ship and the only one who is willing to do so because she thinks it's easy.

She is a member of Diego's band, unaware /maybe just not caring about Diego's role in the Antiheroes' club.

Ginny plays the tambourine as well as the harmonica and she also sings occasionally.

She's also friends with Anthony Tremaine, Big Murph, the Gaston twins, Lefou Deux, Claudine Frollo, Jade, Mad Maddy, Clay Clayton, Diego de Vil, Sammy Smee, Rick Ratcliffe, and just about every crewmate of hers.

She and Clay Clayton have a thing going on-- they're still not sure what to call it. They think it's dating but aren't quite sure.

Ginny's good at singing, sailing, sailing, apple bobbing, dagger tossing, dagger juggling, dart throwing, gymnastics/acrobatics, dancing, chemistry, sword-fighting, cooking, potions, and swimming (Harriet taught her how to) but she's terrible at cards and dancing.

Ginny also likes to read very few things. Usually Gothic tales and music sheets.

She loves toad shots and apples.

She has a seemingly unlimited amount of daggers that seem to come out of nowhere. No matter where she is, no matter who she's with, she always has a dagger. Even if you've already taken one from her.

Unlike her mother, she doesn't care about staying young and beautiful forever. She thinks it's dumb.

Ginny, like everyone, doesn't like being crossed and can hold a grudge for a very long time. A bad habit she is trying to break.

Maleficent isn't the only villian she has stolen from or who's house she has ransacked.

She has the following weapons-- a longsword with a red and black handle, and a golden dagger that also has a red and black handle.

She swears ALOT which annoys the hell out of her mother. Which is why she does it.

She doesn't respect alot of adults on the isle with very few exceptions.

Ginny often pushes /scares people away because she's scared of rejection, being replaced, failure, being abandoned, being locked away, and turning out like her mother (Despite her sister assuring her that she won't).

Ginny is a bit of a smart ass and mouths off to people alot. Even though she really shouldn't since she is almost as bad as Anthony and LeFou Deux are at fighting.

Her favorite color is Burgundy, black, and gold.

She was one of the 1st to ransack Maleficent's place after d1. She stole several of Maleficent's cloaks.

After the barrier is brought down, Ginny joins band and choir at Auardon prep and after ALOT of nagging from her sister, she apologizes to Mal.

Rapunzel and Flynn immediately reached out to Cassandra, Varian, Hugo and the Stabbington brothers along with Nuro and Yong when the barrier was brought done and were surprised to find that Gothel had more kids.

Mason and Glenn end up getting along splendidly with Nuro and Yong, and to Cassandra's dismay, Flynn and Lance.

Ginny begrudgingly gets along with them and their kids quite well after a couple of months.

They are also horrified to find out that Gothel use to lock Ginny and her brothers in the attic as a punishment, and make sure everyone knows that Gothel isn't allowed near them anymore.

She has suspicions on who her father could be but she doesn't have any solid proof (Captain Hook for one).

She actually goes to school alot more than the other kids do because It's one of the few things she enjoys.

The scaredest she has ever been is the day she found Clay almost dead after he was found face down in the pool at Mal's Hellraiser party.

She's also allergic to most flowers.

Regarding the great seven, did they win in Twisted Wonderland? Like, for example, did Jafar became sultan and the current royal family of the Scalding Sands are his descendants? Did Aladdin die because of him?

No, that's (largely) not the case! Twisted Wonderland is simply a world in which the characters we know of irl as villains that did heinous stuff are just viewed in Twisted Wonderland as historical figures who contributed greatly to society. It's no different than how we may study our own historical figures and their accomplishments in social studies/history class.

While we do hear stories about the Great Seven and their powers, we rarely hear stories which would imply they somehow "won" in the end as opposed to the heroes. For example, Jasmine and Aladdin are implied to still very much be in love, as Jamil tells the tale of a street rat that married a princess. (If Jafar had "won", wouldn't he have been the one to marry the princess?) However, there ALSO exists a tale concurrent to that one in which we're told the Sorcerer of the Sands revealed that someone had lied about their social standing to trick a princess. There are no indications that these two stories are one and the same, so in the world of TWST it seems they're two separate instances that both draw inspiration from Aladdin. There are also no indications (ever) of the Disney heroes dying because of the Great Seven. In fact, it seems like many of them still got their original happy endings. (ADDENDUM: as a commenter pointed out, it’s also possible that multiple tales or versions of the tale came from the same initial story, something which happens irl as well.) Similarly, we know that the mermaid princess married a human prince, thus alleviating tensions between merfolk and humans with their union. This would not have been possible if Ursula had "won", as that would mean that Ariel would have reverted back to being a mermaid (or that little squishy thing Ursula has a garden of) and would "belong" to the Sea Witch forever. Ariel wouldn't have been able to stay on land and marry Eric in that state. Furthermore, Ursula may have gone on to become Queen of the Seas if Triton still intervened to save his daughter... but then why is Triton still honored as King of the Seas in the Atlantica Memorial Museum in book 3?

There are a few instances I can think of which would imply the villain "won", the main one being that Scar ruled the Pridelands as a wise and benevolent king (which is not true of The Lion King movie). I don't consider this Scar "winning", but more like... a twisted or exaggerated retelling of the actual event. For the villain to "win", that would also imply the heroes are gone or in a position to not stop them, right? Yet there are zero mentions of Mufasa or Simba being out of the picture, or even of Scar banishing family members that opposed his rule.

This all points to there being an alternate telling of history in TWST; it seems that the "evil" deeds of the Great Seven were censored and/or retold in such a way to paint them in a beneficial light, since the deeds of the traditional heroes also exist and are also considered true in Twisted Wonderland's history. (For example, Scar letting the hyenas into the Pridelands is reframed as a good thing, since he promoted the integration of a previously marginalized group into the country; Ursula is actually believed to have "mended all her ways" rather than it being a lie to deceive others.) Lilia even specifically mentions that it's possible to "change" history just by telling it a certain way.

On a related note, it seems that this year's birthday series (Platinum Jacket) will delve more into TWST's history and how the NRC boys feel or think about various classic Disney characters. I'm really looking forward to seeing how those expand the lore~

Ace's Character Concept Deep Analysis Based on Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll

⚠️WARNING ⚠️ CONTAINS ADVANCED MATH

When "Ace is Traitor" theory suddenly becomes popular because of his birthday card where there is something like the oysters from Alice in Wonderland (that we know is deceived by the Walrus) I suddenly remembered one riddle from Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll that I believe is related to Ace (if Yana really did base him on Alice in Wonderland)

For those who have been following me and read my theories so far, you all know that when I do analysis "based on Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll" there will be high level math so buckle up if you are interested because it'll be a very long post or stay back if you can't stand it.

I'm not a mathematician and is stupid so I'm sorry if my understanding and calculation of math is wrong. If you are an expert at this field you are very welcome to correct and teach me.

Alright everyone, today let's learn Math to find the hidden character concept behind Ace Trappola

The Knave of Heart's Trial

To do a character analysis for Ace we should go back to Heartslabyul chapters because he played an important part in that book : As the "Knave of Hearts" who stole Queen of Heart's tart in "Alice in Wonderland" .

In the original Alice in Wonderland book by Lewis Carroll, Alice's dream of Wonderland ends when the trial of Knave of Hearts suddenly and dramatically collapses like a house of cards. Why? The answer to that is number "42"

And it's interesting how in Twisted Wonderland Yana chose to illustrate this in Heartslabyul book where the dream ends after the cards collapsed which is based on Lewis Carroll's version of Alice in Wonderland rather than the Disney one which Alice was woken up from her dream because of Queen of Hearts and her card soldiers are chasing her to the Wonderland Hall.

You can say that Lewis Carroll's wonderland is the wonderland that's created with base number 42. It begins on the title page with “Forty-two illustrations by John Tenniel.” After descending into Wonderland, Alice encounters an angry Pigeon who protects her nest “night and day” and hasn’t “had a wink of sleep these three weeks.” This gives her egg a hatching period of 21 days +21 nights = 42, or a unit value of(3 × 7 × 2) = 42. There's also the suppression of two guinea pigs in the trial scene. A guinea in English currency has a value of 21 shillings; consequently, the two guinea pigs (or piggy banks) would have a total value of 42 shillings. In the Queen’s rose garden, Alice encounters three gardeners who are animated numbered playing cards. If we add up the card numbers(2 + 5 + 7 = 14), then multiply that by the number of cards(14 × 3), once again we get 42.

And especially at the Knave of Heart's Trial, there are normally fifty-two cards in a deck. However, Carroll has been careful to leave the gardeners (the ten numbered spade cards) out of the procession, with the result that there are exactly 52 – 10 = 42 cards. The King of Hearts also said rule 42 as the oldest rule in the book, since it relates to the mathematical structure of wonderland which creates the Wonderland itself.(Riddle I'm looking forward for you to say rule 42 in the game)

Now let's move on to why number 42 is so important in Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll.

Wonderland Multiplication Table

“I’m sure I’m not Ada,” she said, “for her hair goes in such long ringlets, and mine doesn’t go in ringlets at all; and I’m sure I can’t be Mabel, for I know all sorts of things, and she, oh! she knows such a very little! Besides, she’s she, and I’m I, and—oh dear, how puzzling it all is! I’ll try if I know all the things I used to know. Let me see: four times five is twelve, and four times six is thirteen, and four times seven is—oh dear! I shall never get to twenty at that rate! However, the Multiplication Table doesn’t signify: let’s try Geography.

Alice's adventure begins and ends with number 42 as Carroll actually already gave a hint where in Wonderland's great hall at the very beginning of her adventure in wonderland, she recites the multiplication table, but as we see from what she said, it's a system that's suddenly foreign to her. And then she said "The Multiplication table doesn't signify." This is actually a math problem based on scales of notation.

For a normal people, when Alice said "4 x 5 = 12 , 4 x 6 = 13" it might seems like Alice forgets how to do the multiplication because what we know is "4 x 5 = 20, 4 x 6 = 24" but actually it's not that she forgets how to do it. It's because the multiplication table we used to learn in elementary school and is what we usually use in our everyday life is the multiplication table with the base of 10 while she did it with the base of 39

In daily life we usually work with a base of 10 (multiples of 10) such that 1111 becomes ‘one thousand one hundred and eleven’. But in other things like in Computer Science for example, there are other numbering systems that are used besides base of 10, some examples are Binary (Base 2) and Hexadecimal (Base 16)

In binary system , where base is 2 (multiples of 2), (1111)₂ = 15 (8×1+4×1+2×1+1×1). Now I'll explain why it can be this way.

In binary, there are only two possible digits because this binary system only has two characters: 0 and 1. Therefore each digit in a binary number represents a power of 2, starting from the right and increasing by one for each position to the left.

Let's break down the binary number (1111)₂ step by step:

The rightmost digit is 1, and it represents 2^0, which is 1.

The next digit to the left is also 1, and it represents 2^1, which is 2.

The next digit to the left is again 1, representing 2^2, which is 4.

Finally, the leftmost digit is 1, representing 2^3, which is 8.

Now, to find the decimal (base 10) equivalent of this binary number, you add up these values:

1 + 2 + 4 + 8 = 15

So, (1111)₂ in binary is equivalent to 15 in decimal. The expression "(8×1+4×1+2×1+1×1)" represents exactly this process of adding up the powers of 2 to calculate the decimal value of the binary number.

Now I'll give another example in the Hexadecimal numbering system where the base is 16(multiples of 16). I'll explain why (14)₁₆ =20 which makes 4×5=(14)₁₆ (20 represents the value in decimal calculated by adding the powers of the base of the Hexadecimal number system while (14)₁₆ represents the number in Hexadecimal number system itself)

In the hexadecimal (base 16) numbering system, there are 16 possible digits, which include the usual 0-9 digits and the additional A, B, C, D, E, and F, representing the values 10 to 15.

Now to convert the hexadecimal number (14)₁₆ to decimal (base 10) :

The rightmost digit '4' represents 4 in decimal, just like in our regular base 10 system.

The leftmost digit '1' represents 1 in decimal.

Now, to find the decimal equivalent of (14)₁₆, we simply multiply each digit by the corresponding power of 16 and add them together:

(4 * 16^0) + (1 * 16^1) = 4 + 16 = 20

So, (14)₁₆ is equivalent to 20 in decimal. The expression "(4 * 16^0) + (1 * 16^1)" represents this process of converting the hexadecimal number to decimal by calculating the values of each digit and summing them up.

Note : In any number system, including our familiar decimal system and other base systems like binary, hexadecimal, or any base you might encounter, any number raised to the power of 0 is always equal to 1. This is a fundamental mathematical rule that applies universally.

Therefore Mathematically, for any number 'a' in any number system with any base :

a^0 = 1

Now back to Alice in Wonderland, we have to find a base such that 4×5=12 as said by Alice in her multiplication table which is 18 (12)₁₈=20(18×1+1×2).

Alice’s multiplication table goes as :

4×5=(12)₁₈

4×6=(13)₂₁

4×7=(14)₂₄

4×8=(15)₂₇

As we can see the base is increasing by 3. So

4×12=(19)₃₉

And therefore, Alice is reciting the multiplication table with the base of 39.

Now Alice said that she will never reach 20. The value of (20)₄₂=42×2+0×1=84 but 4 times 13 is 52 which implies

4×13≠(20)₄₂

Therefore Alice will never get to twenty.

Once we progress to the 13 times level, to maintain the rule of this system, we must employ base 42. This proves to be fatal and the entire system thereafter collapses.

It's a pun!' the King added in an offended tone, and everybody laughed, 'Let the jury consider their verdict,' the King said, for about the twentieth time that day.

Because of number 42 (as a base number in the Wonderland multiplication system), Alice is right to declare that she will “never get to twenty at that rate.” And neither will the King of Hearts: “ ‘Let the jury consider their verdict,’ the King said, for about the twentieth time that day.” But like Alice, the King never gets to twenty either. For here we find the fatal number 42 looms up once more, and brings all in Wonderland to a cataclysmic end.

At this moment the King, who had been for some time busily writing in his note-book, cackled out “Silence!” and read out from his book, “Rule Forty-two. All persons more than a mile high to leave the court.”

Everybody looked at Alice.

“I’m not a mile high,” said Alice.

“You are,” said the King.

“Nearly two miles high,” added the Queen.

“Well, I shan’t go, at any rate,” said Alice: “besides, that’s not a regular rule: you invented it just now.”

“It’s the oldest rule in the book,” said the King.

“Then it ought to be Number One,” said Alice.

The King turned pale, and shut his note-book hastily. “Consider your verdict,” he said to the jury, in a low, trembling voice.

It is by the authority of Rule Forty-two that the King attempts to expel Alice from the court. Alice disputes this, however, objecting that if Rule Forty-two is the “oldest rule in the book” as the King claims, “then it ought to be Number One.” And with this peculiar logic, she suddenly finds herself capable of overruling the King and Queen of Hearts.

How is this possible? And why, besides the King and Queen, is Alice the only one not ordered executed? Once again, Carroll is playing a word game, this time the word-within-the-word game.

In one example, he suggests that although one may find ink in a drink, it is not possible to find a drink in ink. In another, he explains that one may find love in a glove, but none outside of it.

Consequently, Alice is ultimately able to overrule the King and Queen of Hearts when she discovers her true rank in this game: hidden within the word Alice there is an Ace

When the procession came opposite to Alice, they all stopped and looked at her, and the Queen said severely “Who is this?” She said it to the Knave of Hearts, who only bowed and smiled in reply.

“Idiot!” said the Queen, tossing her head impatiently; and, turning to Alice, she went on, “What’s your name, child?”

“My name is Alice, so please your Majesty,” said Alice very politely; but she added, to herself, “Why, they’re only a pack of cards, after all. I needn’t be afraid of them!”

“And who are these?” said the Queen, pointing to the three gardeners who were lying round the rose-tree; for, you see, as they were lying on their faces, and the pattern on their backs was the same as the rest of the pack, she could not tell whether they were gardeners, or soldiers, or courtiers, or three of her own children.

“How should I know?” said Alice, surprised at her own courage. “It’s no business of mine.”

The Queen turned crimson with fury, and, after glaring at her for a moment like a wild beast, screamed “Off with her head! Off—”

“Nonsense!” said Alice, very loudly and decidedly, and the Queen was silent.

The King laid his hand upon her arm, and timidly said “Consider, my dear: she is only a child!”

According to the rules of Carroll’s card game Court Circular, in which hearts are trumps, “the Ace may be reckoned either with King, Queen, or with Two, Three.” We are told the numbered heart cards in Wonderland are “the royal children,” which would seem to explain why the King of Hearts initially informs the Queen that Alice “is only a child”—in fact, the youngest child.

However, as an ace, she can choose to switch from the lowest-ranking heart to the highest. When she claims her power as the highest-ranked card in the deck—the Ace of Hearts—her role in Wonderland suddenly shifts from the virtually powerless to the most powerful.

Alice has finally discovered Wonderland’s “rule of processions.” In the ranking of Wonderland’s forty-two-card deck, Alice has become the highest-ranked heart. She has become the fatal number 42 that in the Wonderland multiplication table wrecks the mathematical structure upon which Wonderland is constructed. She overrules the rulers, and claims the power to end her dream. In waking, Alice brings the whole of Wonderland down like a house of cards.

So for those people who suspect "Ace Trappola" might have "Alice" in him, based on this analysis of Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, you are correct! 🎉

Conclusions (and Speculations)

Up till now we still don't know Ace's unique magic. I don't know if "Ace is Traitor" theory will turn out to be true but if Yana really created Ace based on Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland, after I did a deep analysis on him I don't think he will betray Yuu. It's more like "he will be the one that makes Yuu realize Twisted Wonderland is just a dream just like how any other Wonderland that we know is". But since Wonderland is "deceptive" itself by its nature, just like any other Wonderland that we know, Yuu might think of Ace as a traitor but in fact he is just telling the truth.

Based on the analysis of Carroll's riddle and Heartslabyul book, my prediction is his unique magic at least capable of doing this :

1. From the weakest become the strongest.

2. Break and collapse a dream/dream world. This can be a dream world made by Malleus or Twisted Wonderland itself, in which he might play an important role in the Diasomnia chapter or NRC/Ramshackle chapter. In my past theory of a way for Yuu to go back home , I put Silver as one of the key characters for Yuu to go back home since he relates more to the quaternion and had ever met Mickey, but I also always think Ace might also play an important role for Yuu to go back home.

Random Thoughts I Had While Rewatching Descendants 1

So I'm guessing Auradon is the size of Eurasia? Cause Europe seems too small, and most of the stories take place in Europe.

Are there Isle guards? I'm guessing because how else do the posters of Beast get put on the Isle?

Beast's crown looks so fake

So is that Ben's dorm room? Or is that his castle room? Is he a day student? (Which, considering he's becoming High King would be smart) I'm curious now

How many outdoor string lights do people in Auradon throw out?

HOW DOES THE ISLE HAVE ELECTRICITY? Are there villains dedicated to keeping it running? Actually, that would be hilarious, especially if that means people don't mess with them. OR they do mess with them and there are just frequent power outages. More likely, now that I think about it.

CAN WE PLEASE TALK ABOUT MALEFICENT'S LETTER MAGNETS! Ha, what if Hades left them there and she just never threw them out? He seems more like the one to have letter magnets.

I don't care about the book timeline, the villains and core four all seem a lot more familiar with each other than just a few weeks or days or whatever. I'm saying its been months at least since the core four became a gang. If not a year.

I know its a Dcom, but I kinda wish that the villains weren't treated as comedy relief. Like, its implied that the kids aren't loved, that they are scared of their parents, but the way the parents are written... excluding the end with Maleficent, they don't seem that scary and all.

Seriously, there must be royal guards, right?

Really wish we had gotten to see the limo driver again.

Have to admit, I really like Ben's darker suit jacket. But why, why the yellow pants.

Ugh, I love Mal's D1 hair.

So... where are the magical people. "Most of us are ordinary royals." Yes, but, but, there is a lot of magic is Disney movies. Where have the magical people GONE. This is concerning.

Auradon Prep is FILLED with royal children, including the soon-to-be High King. The museum is filled with priceless magical artifacts. WHERE IS THE SECURITY. WHERE ARE THE GUARDS.

The beginning of Evil Like Me makes me want to hug Mal.

Are there NO SECURITY CAMERAS?? No other alarms??

WHY ARE THEY HAVING REMEDIAL GOODNESS OUT IN THE OPEN. That should be a PRIVATE class.

You cannot convince me that Ben didn't purposefully tell his parents about Mal right then JUST so he could have a picture of their reaction.

Other thoughts:

Nostalgia hits hard every time

I miss the D1 clothes! D2 and D3 felt more "costumey" if that makes sense. D1 feels more like... teenagers. And, at least for the Isle outfits, more thrown together. Not as polished, in a way.

I have to admit, kinda wish there was more Aladdin related stuff in the movie. You have Audrey and Mal, Evie and Doug, and Carlos and Dude, but no Aladdin-related characters for Jay? Sure, Aziz is mentioned in the books, and Jordan is in Wicked World, but still. Oh well.
