sooo my memory has been shit and to accompany that with the fact that I deleted my old blog with all of my fic recs/moots...this is gonna be a v small and personal list. also not limited to BTS writers!

I will alwaysALWAYS read anything @minisugakoobies writes. Their writing style just syncs incredibly well with my brain.

Me slipping back in here because I forgot my love @mochilatae (she’s on a hiatus) but Kay’s writing is so submersible 🫠

I am currently queueing up to read all of @still-with-koo and @axialitae masterlists.

I just read the most hilarious SKZ two-shot from @leviackermanscleaningbuddy and I really appreciate how they do non-explicit smut.

@chans-room is my favorite Channie writer, they get his personality sooo well (probably because they're married to a libra 😘).

@xjoonchildx Ana's fics are fucking hilarious and hot all at the same time.

@btsgotjams27 is my go-to for softer, romantic fics.

@eureka-its-zico does the angst in a way that makes my soul squeeze.

@bangtanintotheroom writes some delectably long smut scenes that make me 🥵

One of the reasons I’ve had so much fun with maybe everything that dies someday comes back is that I’ve been trying to write a zombie apocalypse AU since I was fifteen - attempted it in at least five fandoms - and this is the first time I’ve actually come close to pulling it off! and in The English, a fandom I never expected. (I’m not counting my Kingdom fic, because zombies are just canon there.) It did get me thinking about my other favourite zombie apocalypse AUs out there (no Marvel Zombies for me thank you) and so I made a list:

Better Natures by etirabys (Daredevil | Frank/Karen | E | 37,582 words)

This happens to be both my favourite zombie apocalypse AU and favourite Kastle fic out there. When a zombie outbreak spreads in New York, Frank asks Karen to come with him. They both turn out to be incredibly good at surviving the apocalypse. Not just about the zombies but also the rebuilding and sustaining of community in the aftermath - also, just, fake-married couple with electric chemistry, we love to see it.

for the darkness, she will come by angel_deux (Game Of Thrones | Jaime/Brienne | T | 23,057 words)

Technically GOT already has zombies in it but this is a modern Walking Dead-esque AU in which Brienne is similarly tasked to transport Jaime so he can be exchanged for Sansa and Arya and the four of them end up travelling together. Jaime loses his hand because it got bitten by a zombie and Brienne has to cut it off.

Many Forms of Resistance by amalnahurriyeh (Sociology RPF | Gen | T | 2,323 words)

When their conference is crashed by zombies, C. Wright Mills and Michel Foucault end up on a cross-country motorcycle road trip from New York to Berkeley. Mills rides, Foucault shoots. In between they argue about the theoretical outlook of the zombie apocalypse. “But this story you tell, Wright, it is totalizing, no? Is not the zombie an act of resistance against the anomie you describe? For the zombie is himself a proactive being, who goes out, joins collectively with others, and seeks to capture what he does not have - that is, the brain.” I hope this author got their PhD.

in famine, in feast by bysine (GOT7 RPF | Jaebeom/Jinyoung | T | 38,362 words)

Full disclosure: bysine is my old zombie AU writing buddy (she came up with the Pulser technology that I’m using in maybe everything that dies someday comes back) so naturally I’d rec anything by her, but. This is a spectacular AU based on the period zombie K-drama Kingdom, in which Jinyoung is the exiled crown prince and Jaebeom his mysterious bodyguard and they must both thwart the zombie threat as well as court intrigue. I don’t even know anything about GOT7 but I loved this fic - think Regency vibes but it’s set in the Joseon era and also there are zombies.

November and December have been months full of work, rest, and exploration! As part of my goal to read more fanfic intentionally and give more reviews to what I read, I’ve decided to start making some rec posts. While I am a slow reader, I really enjoyed reading all these fics! They range from simple and short comfort fics to complex stories with strong messages! I hope you all enjoy them as much as I did!

We follow Jimin and Jungkook, both enchanters who serve the kings, as they navigate tensions between two kingdoms, Jimin an experienced enchanter in this role and Jungkook who is just starting out. It's a riveting and interesting read about growing tension, loneliness, and environmentalism. I expected to take at least a week to read this story because I am often a slow reader of fanfic but I devoured this story in the span of four days. It's an addicting story!

Café Amour (Yoongi x Taehyung) (Asian Fanfics)

“Don’t let someone who gave up on their dreams talk you out of yours.” The words of the stranger, who simply made his coffee and listened to him rant, actually hit pretty close to home and he hadn’t stopped thinking about them since he left the small cafe that was his favorite place to relax. Yoongi hadn’t wanted to be some office working tool. Sitting in a cubicle that was identical to all the ones around it was not what he thought he would be doing once he left high school. He wanted to be a songwriter or rapper, if he was lucky, but apparently that wasn’t what his parents wanted him to do. He remembered slaving away through classes he found utterly boring in college just to appease his father and have his mother not worry about how he was going to support himself. He hated his life, but every time he walked into that caffe, his day brightened a little and it was all thanks to that rectangular grin and mischievous attitude.

Swimming Feet (Jaeboem x Jinyoung) (AO3)

There’s a moment between Yugyeom crossing over to safety and Jinyoung surging forward as quickly as he can: a wave sweeps in and Jinyoung gets knocked onto his stomach, water rushing over his head and salt in his mouth. The next thing he knows, the water rushes back to the ocean, and Jaebeom’s loud laughter reaches his ears. Jinyoung shakes the water out of his eyes and heaves himself to his feet. Got7 is back and I am in desperate need of a Mark Tuan fic now more than ever

Fanfic do Dia #8: Antes de você por ArsLilith_

SINOPSE: Jaebeom havia prometido a si mesmo que não se submeteria a um casamento arranjado como seus pais fizeram e que por anos foi motivo de grande infelicidade. No entanto, quando assume a liderança da sua Alcateia, seguir aquela linha de tradição era inevitável. Então, obrigado a se casar, Jaebeom conhece Park Jinyoung, um Ômega Lúpus que carrega um universo de cores nos olhos e uma explosão de sentimentos. Antes de Jinyoung, Jaebeom não conhecia o que era amor. Ou melhor, Jaebeom não conhecia a leveza de ser amado.

Oiê, meus docinhos… a fanfic de hoje tem um dos temas que eu mais gosto: Casamento arranjado. Essa é a estreia do Got7 no FDD.

Não li muitas fics do Got7, por isso inicialmente teremos apenas o shipp JJP na lista de recomendação, mas quem tiver indicações é só mandar uma ask ou dm no Spirit ou Wattpad.

O casamento arranjado é entre Jaebeom — Alfa Lúpus e novo líder da alcatéia—, e Jinyoung o único Ômega Lúpus entre eles.

No início Jaebeom era todo: "Não vou ter um filho com esse esquisitão, ele tem olhos de cores diferentes ur dur..." e depois era só: "Você é minha lua de todas as cores...". É muito bom, principalmente porque a ideia de ter um casamento arranjado era inviável para Jaebeom, ele não tinha interesse em nenhum ômega, mas sabendo que um dia teria que se casar, já estava rondando Mark (que vai ser um problema depois).

Jinyoung por outro lado, é muito tradicional e romântico, ele já tinha um crush tremendo no Jaebeom antes mesmo de saber que ele seria seu noivo. Enquanto eu relia a fanfic me ocorreu que nos primeiros capítulos o leitor pode achar irritante como o Jinyoung diz que ele amava pelos dois e até se esforçava mais, mas conforme vamos avançando a leitura, é perceptível que o Jaebeom não demora para sair do comodismo e também ter seu papel na relação.

Para quem gosta de acompanhar aquelas fanfics que o amor vai surgindo nos casamentos arranjados, essa fic é uma ótima opção.

Por hoje é só, essa semana estou um pouco cansada e atarefada, principalmente porque estou preparando uma fanfic para postar hehe, mas espero postar pelo menos dois FDD semana que vem.
