Is everything okay? a/n: this is just me seeing if I could even still write for this man tbh. I’ve been getting very good at separating my emotions about the pr stunt, and I think that’s because I literally have blocked it from my social media in every way, shape, or form. Being the personal assistant to Shawn Mendes is basically the best job in the world. You got to travel all the time. You got to learn more about the music industry than your internship at a record label had ever taught you. And he just happened to be the sweetest, most wholesome person on the planet. Except for when he was getting on your goddamn nerves. This just happened to be his favorite past time.

You’d been his PA for four years and no one knew him better. You knew his coffee order, what size underwear he wore, and the brand of cough medicine he trusted most. You let your body weight lean into him, and sighed happily when his hands fell to your waist. Usually you’d do anything to stay away from this kind of contact, but vodka is a hell of a thing.

“It’s fine. I’m over it.” You assured him.

His eyebrows scrunched together at your words. That sort of Canadian pout of his. It was extremely effective.

“See, but I don’t even understand why you do that. Sometimes it’s like you're pissed at me, and then maybe you decide to get over it all without ever telling me what I’ve done in the first place.”

“Look let’s just enjoy the night, huh? It’s New Year’s Eve. All your friends and family are here. Let’s not make it more complicated.”

“Fine. But only if you promise to stop sulking in a corner and come have fun with me.” He mumbled. “I’ve like missed you all day.”

It was moments like that that you just wanted to shake him and yell. How could he not see what he was putting you through? How was it not incredibly obvious how in love you were with him? But you could tell just by the look on his face that he was being as sincere as ever. Shawn was just too kind for his own good, and for yours apparently.

“Yea, okay. Let’s have fun.”

*two hours later*

You are drunk. And the only reason you know how drunk you are is because you’ve lost your ability to measure other people’s drunkness. As far as your ass is concerned, everyone is living their best life and no one is any drunker than one another. Dumb. You should have known Shawn was drunk off his ass the minute he started hugging strangers. But alas, if Andrew’s expectation was that you were meant to keep him out of trouble then...you just might be fired tomorrow.

“You smell amazing.” Shawn whispered in your ear as he threw himself onto your back, arms wrapping tightly around you. “Where have you been all my life?”

You giggled. “I’ve been here, kiddo. You know, controlling your day to day life, keeping you afloat?”

“Not like that. I mean...I mean like...where have you been ya know?” He mumbled taking a sip out of a champagne bottle.

Sober you would’ve gotten him straight to bed at this point. Drunk you was a little dumber.

“No I don’t!”

“You just...God you’re so beautiful ya know?” He huffed bringing your foreheads together. “It drives me crazy.”

“What? What did you say?”

“Y/n I--”

“Shawn!”

And just like that, one minute the boy you like is hovering over you with heart eyes and the next his friends are practically picking him up. Jon, Brian, and Connor descended like wolves, quickly rushing Shawn away from you.

“We’ll be right back!” Bryan called over his shoulder.

You were left to your own devices and the only thing you could think to do in your drunken state was...to go complain to Aalyiah about how dumb her brother was. You know, like a crazy person.

“Hey what’s wrong?” She asked softly, not nearly as drunk as you. It must have been the whole underage thing.

You shook your head. “Your brother is an idiot.”

“Oh I’m aware. But why in particular is he an idiot this time?”

“He just can’t communicate jackshit unless it’s in a song. Can’t tell anyone how he feels. Just likes to stick his dumb, big head everywhere with his dumb big eyes and his dumb smile. I’m sick of it, ya know?”

Aaliyah smiled softly at you and squeezed your shoulder.

“Oh you poor thing. You want me to talk to him?”

You eyes widened. “No. Oh no, ‘Lyiah, not at all. I was just blowing off steam.”

“Uh huh…”

“No seriously. Promise me you won’t say anything.”

She rolled her eyes. “But y/n--”

“No promise me!”

“Alright, alright, Jeez. I promise.” She groaned. “But for the record if this is how complicated adults liking each other is, I want no part in it.”

“‘Liking’? Who said anything about liking?”

“Oh y/n...Please.”

“I liked you better when you were younger and shyer.”

*meanwhile in the corner on the opposite side of the party*

“What the hell guys!” Shawn muttered still trying to peer over the heads of people to see y/n.

Jon clicked his fingers in front of his face. “Excuse me? You told us not to let you get carried away with y/n tonight, remember?”

“...No. not really. And I retract my statement, now if you’ll excuse me...Goddamit, guys!”

They weren’t budging. And Shawn was pretty sure he was thinking clearer than he had in years. Save for the bottle of champagne in his hand.

“Bro, stop being an idiot, you’re blowing my high here!” Brian yelled at him. “You don’t want to fuck things up with y/n remember? You don’t want to mix business with pleasure! These are your words.”

“But...But...she’s so pretty.” He whined closing his eyes in despair. “So pretty.”

Jon snorted. “Oh to be young and in love. What a travesty.”

“Look we’ve got ten minutes until the ball drops. Let’s get you a fresh bottle of champagne and try to relax, aye?”

Shawn couldn’t quite do anything but pout.

“Fine. Let me go dammit.”

And thus the two were separate as the party began to re-hype for the ball drop. Brian got Shawn a bottle of champagne, his friends surrounding him on all sides so that he didn’t make any mistakes. Y/n was left to chill back in her corner. Without Shawn to hang out with, and his friends--which used to be her friends--being assholes, it was a lost cause.

At some point you were just waiting for the night to end. You wanted to go back to your hotel and sleep and forget all about Shawn’s dumb face when he told you how beautiful you were. What a joke. This whole night was a joke. Usually Jon and you would’ve spent the whole night making fun of all the white people, Connor would have hung on your hip like he always tended to do. Even Brian was a cocky son of a bitch who let you give it right back to him. But Shawn didn’t want to be near you for some reason. Friends. Yea right.

It wasn’t until everyone begin counting that you realized you weren’t in the mood at all. The excitement. The joy. It just wasn’t there. So you decided to leave. Meanwhile, at the clock struck midnight, Shawn busted open a bottle of champagne to spray his friends with. It’d been a hell of a year and he knew he deserved to celebrate a little bit. So the hugs go all the way around and he squeezes them tight enough that he hopes they know how much he loves them. He’s drunk and he’s happy and when those two things happen there’s typically on one person he wants to share that with. But it only takes one look around the room to see you’re not there. And that’s the opposite of what he wanted.

“Hey! Hey! Have you seen y/n?” He asked Jon who had quickly discovered his girlfriend’s throat after the ball drop.

“No man. And you shouldn’t either.” He huffed.

But Shawn had no time for his friend’s bullshit. This was the woman of his dream they were talking about here.

Brian was practically tripping balls and extremely ineffective. Connor was sympathetic but hadn’t seen her. His next best guess was Aaliyah, who was looking a little wobbily like maybe she’s stolen a drink or two. (He was too drunk and too fixated on y/n to remember that he’d been the one to give them to her).

“Sis, have you seen y/n? I can’t find her anywhere!”

She rolled her eyes. “No! But she probably got tired of the games and went back to her room.”

“What games? What are you talking about?”

“She’s tired of you acting like you want her until it gets too serious and then backing away and pretending you’re just friends. It’s bullshit and it hurts and she probably got fed up. Let me guess tonight’s plan was to have the guys keep you away from her?”

Having a sixteen year old sister who’s smarter than you is truly terrible.

He stared at her dumbfounded. “I…”

“Yea, that’s what I thought. Look if you don’t want to be with her just leave her alone. She’s not some play toy, alright?”

“I’m not--that’s not even remotely what’s going on!” He muttered at her.

“Well that’s what it looks like! Women aren’t stupid and you’re not clever, dumbass. Stop messing with her. It’s driving her crazy.”

He rubbed his hands over his face thankful when the music finally cut down as people took the time to huge and squeeze their loved ones for the new year. His little sister had never been one to let him off the hook, and it was nice to know some things weren't going to change in 2020.

“I’m in love with her!” He bursted. “I’ve been in love with her since the moment I saw her, and I didn’t want to let her go, okay? She’s amazing at her job and she’s my best friend. And I need her in my life. So, I thought I’d rather have a part of her forever than ever face the possibility of losing her. She’s not some plaything alright...she’s--she’s everything.”

And just like that the anger on her face twisted to happiness and she quickly reached to pat him on the shoulder. Teenage girls were practically navy seals mixed with ninjas or some shit.

“See, now was that so hard?”

“Look don’t take this the wrong way but I think you might be a sociopath.”

Aaliyah rolled her eyes again and pointed over his shoulder. He turned to see y/n standing there with her jacket in hand looking about as shocked as he felt. Suddenly the room was much warmer than he remembered, and his hair felt sweaty against eh back of his next. The cat was out of the bag.

“H--How much of that did you hear?” He asked you, walking slowly in your direction.

You bit your lip. “I showed up around the ‘love’ part.”

“Oh...okay. Do you wanna--can we maybe go somewhere and talk?”

“I don’t know. I’m drunk. You’re drunk. I’d probably just go to sleep thinking I made the shit up.”

He shook his head. “That couldn’t be y/n. I meant it. Every word.”

“Yea? Then prove it.”

“Prove it? How?”

“I don’t know! I’m drunk, shit.” You whined.

He rolled his eyes up at the ceiling and stalked closer to you until you had to peer up in order to see him. His warmth was intoxicating, the smell of campagne still fresh on his lips. This is dangerous territory. There are witnesses. No room for him to go back when he changes his mind in the morning. His fingers cup your cheek.

“Shawn.” You warned jaw going slack in his grip.

“You drive me absolutely crazy, you know that?” He whispered, breath fanning your face.

“Yea, the feeling is mutual...Don’t play with me right now.”

“I’m not. I swear to you. We can figure the rest out tomorrow, but for now, I love you.”

“Don’t say that unless you mean it.”

There were tears in your eyes threatening to fall, and your body as lose as it was from the alcohol was still struggling to let go. You’d dreamt about these words long enough that reality has begun to blur. Who knows what’s real and what isn’t.

“I mean it.” He hummed so softly against your lips. “I mean it, I mean it, I mean it. I love you. Let me show you.”

Leave it to your New Year’s kiss to come fifteen minutes late. But there’s not a care in the world when his lips are on yours. Your toes dig into the carpet as you lean up to kiss him something soft and chaste turning more dominant by the second. If this was a dream, let them never wake you up. Because it felt so real. So right. So soft.

“Happy New Year sweetheart.” He whispered against your ear.

And a happy new year it was.

magicians zodiac is interesting, i feel like there’s a lot of characters where i could go in a couple different directions! let’s do this by character, in rough order from more to less attached to my zodiac headcanon, lol:

josh: taurus! almost too easy except that it fits. loves food & other sensual delights, a gifted naturalist and so connected to the earth, soil, planting, growing things, springtime, etc. also he just has a taurus… vibe. you know? taurus is my secret favorite sign because i kind of think of them as like capricorn’s less Unhinged better-adjusted younger sibling and anecdotally i just tend to feel very safe around tauruses in the world, i don’t know why! there’s a peaceableness… a simplicity but in a good way… josh drinking beer with eliot is very in this mold imo!

julia: for zodiac concepts i mostly consider canon birthdays like, helpful suggestions, although often they DO wind up feeling right… for example, i absolutely consider julia a capricorn. this is a little bit because she is my baby and i am a capricorn, but mostly it is because of every single thing she ever does. surveying one’s options and choosing the most Extra choice possible, and doing so with a vibe like you don’t even know that that’s what you’re doing? capricorn antics. dismantling a magical battery simply by hurling your body at it over and over until it caves to the sheer force of your will, while someone looks on wondering why you seem to lack the human instinct for self-preservation? capricorn antics. “i don’t really do slow”? capricorn antics. giving a pep talk about your friendship that ends with “tighten your shit”? capricorn antics. the extent to which she is impossible to insult or intimidate because she is so comfortably self-contained, very capricorn. the best thing i have ever read about capricorns is this hairpin (rip) piece called Astrology Is Fake, But Capricorns Are A Conspiracy, about how goats seem like normal critters until you look at their fucked up square pupils and then realize that they are interacting with the world in a fundamentally different way from everyone else and also have no idea that there is anything weird about what they’re doing. like...

this is julia! simultaneously the most normie-passing member of the cast, and also the most unhinged, but in a very calm, emotionally unbothered way. alright. case made. moving on.

margo: another one that feels almost too easy, but, like, yeah, leo. royalty, glamor, ferocity, potency, naturally and comfortably the center of attention, charismatic, protective, throws a great party, fights for those she loves, loyal, etc. again, feels almost too on the nose! and doesn’t quite get at her cold, machiavellian side. but also, if the glittering stiletto fits....

alice: things are getting trickier here! my instinct for alice is aquarius because her niffin self is driven by the quest for knowledge, and because she has that like, fixed-sign rigidity, and also she is a total freak and extremely alienated from, like, all of humanity. (one of my BFFs is an aquarius so i say this with love.) but i would be open to a reading that gives more weight to her neuroticism (virgo?) or her deep wells of rage and pain (leo? scorpio?)

kady: a little tricky mostly just because of how uninterested the show is in acting like she is a real person. the gimme here is aries - “no one else hits that hard,” resident battle magic expert. but despite being introduced as the brakebills thief, kady’s biggest storylines are all about her loyalty: to her mother, to julia, to penny, to the hedge community, such as it is. not a trait strongly associated with the baby of the zodiac. is she also a leo? are she and julia a capricorn power couple? (taking on the role of like Honorary Hedge President is not... not capricorn antics)

quentin: i swear to god when i was first thinking about this, i was like, “quentin is a cancer,” and then i was like, “you can’t just make quentin a cancer because cancers and water signs in general are wildly overrated in your historical fandom interests, just because steve rogers is a cancer doesn’t mean quentin is a cancer,” and then i found out there’s some (semi?)-official info that places him as a cancer... there is a part of me that continues to resist because of his intellectual side, because of the particular mechanisms of his escapist tendencies, but. has a lot of feelings, at his happiest living in cozy domestic contentment with someone he loves, eager for partnership, easily wounded, capable of being the sweetest darling on the planet and also a huge, terrible asshole........ fine. okay. cancer. as a bonus, this means that he and julia are sister signs, which is pretty cute.

penny: i can see pisces for penny! i like scorpio because of the underworld connection, ruled by pluto, etc., also because the astrology book i have says that the life purpose of scorpio is to be “a true, irritating healer” which is an amazing phrase and very penny, but pisces works in terms of like, liminality, the porousness between realms, psychic phenomena, his association with dreams... plus of course his big heart, deep wells of compassion. pisces doesn’t really capture his prickliness, but i actually also thing the scorpio-vengeance thing applies to him less than it does to eliot - penny is constantly annoyed but he pretty rarely gets really angry or acts out on his anger. his huge inner softness and the fact that he’s like secretly the most caring person in the cast makes me think water sign and i could see either of those... but wouldn’t it be funny if he and quentin were both cancers and that’s why they can’t stand each other? would add even more to my whole Thing about how writing penny-40 out how they did was a huge lost opportunity for quentin and penny’s characterization as shaped by their gradual peace-making towards each other. but then again he is also absurdly impulsive... maybe he’s an aries! or a sagittarius? i am uncommitted.

eliot: ELIOT IS THE HARDEST ONE!!! the scorpio thing, i feel like eliot is so secrets on secrets, you know? he’s an exhibitionist but also extremely private about his actual heart. carly rae jepsen our SCORPIO PRINCESS writes “i’ve got a cavern of secrets / none of them are for you / even if you wanted to keep them, where would you find the room?”... very eliot. and i do see what you’re saying particularly about the scorpio obsessiveness/intensity - eliot for all his feelings and Extra-ness is actually one of the... less intense people on this show about 24-year-olds having a group nervous breakdown? but he did (1) kill a kid with a bus (2) immediately kill beast-mike which was like obviously strategically justified since the beast wasn’t gonna give mike up but also pretty obviously the hurt that propelled the spell (since eliot was not trained in battle magic at the time) came less from a rational consideration of the situation and more from his since of betrayal at having opened his intimate vulnerable self to someone under false pretenses (3) throw margo in the dungeon. obviously eliot is my child who has never done anything wrong in his LIFE and i hold none of this against him, but for all his softness when he really thinks he’s been crossed shit can get pretty real pretty fast. not to mention whatever the hell “if you want to live your life live it here” was about.

but!!! he is also so soft!!! i mean, shit, maybe eliot is the pisces? intuitive, Deeply Sad, gentle, with an easily bruised but never closed heart the size of the ocean? but then i also feel like aesthetics are sooooo important to him... i thought about libra, for the combination of aesthetic vision and interest in justice (all his thinking about what kind of kingdom he wants to rule, very different from margo’s immediate focus on making sure they stay in charge and alive). he’s got the libra elegance and charm, and of course his status as consummate host is very libra. (did you know f. scott fitzgerald, author of the great gatsby a book about parties and charm which is also one of the most famously symmetrically structured novels in american literature, is a triple libra? if you ever needed proof that astrology was real...) but eliot is SO driven by his heart, it’s hard to square an air sign with that! in my wip i have him as a scorpio with moon in sagittarius but maybe i should switch those... eliot obviously doesn’t have sagittarius’s optimism but like you can see how he might have in a different life (and/or without a scorpio moon), right? as opposed to quentin who very obviously was always going to be Like That... there’s a lightness to eliot in his better moments, this really lovely capacity for joy... and there’s a lightness to him in his worst moments, which is very sag! can get angry but doesn’t dig into it the way margo does. not Book Curious but very into Seeing The World, gathering experiences. hmmmm. maybe i’ve talked myself into sagittarius eliot! but then again where are his Enormous Feelings? IT’S TOUGH. eliot brings out my You Have To Look At The Whole Chart tendencies!!!!!

[ So due to life being a TOTAL MESS these last several weeks, I actually managed to miss a rather important date last week...that being the fourth anniversary of Ryū and I RPing on Tumblr! It’s weird, it both feels like it’s been longer, and shorter...but! To celebrate, I thought we’d do a little shout-out to the peeps who have stuck around the longest, interacted the most, and overall just made these past four years as fun as they have been.

Sadly very few of our original partners remain, but we’ve gained and lost many over the past four years! This, of course, isn’t mean to exclude anyone who has found us more recently (and some inactive blogs may be excluded, but are still loved), but as a little something for those who have been around for the long haul, and who we’ve gotten to know well both IC and OOC! The Naruto RPC has seen its share of ups and downs and changes, after all. So without further adieu...here we go! ]

PENTAGON: First Impressions VS Now!

since it's ptg's 3rd anniversary, and i've been an uni for over a year now, i thought it would be a fun idea to compare my first thoughts about all the members to how i think of them now! i got the idea from i got7 inspirits on youtube, so check them out if you're interested!

OT10

then:

I first heard "gorilla" back when it released, but since i avoided stanning rookies at the time- i decided to give it some time before stanning. flash foward to august 2018 where my interest is piqued again. at that time last year, i had thought that they were pretty cute but having literally only heard gorilla and then shine, i was caught off guard by their sound change. It wasn't bad per say- just different. overall, i knew pentagon would be a group that i'd like- but more along the lines of a casual thing.

now:

y'all already know how whipped i am for these idiots!!! their music and videos and even choreos are my style completely, especially their cute concepts!! we love dancing infants! and also, they're all such throughly good people which makes me so happy. this isn't a casual stan thing in the slightest, and it's funny to think I ever believed it would be.

Hui:

then:

when i saw him in shine, i thought he was a d o r k. i think it was the way they styled his hair, but i was just very convinced that he was pretty lame lmao. after that though, i saw how cute he was and he became my bias for a while. i remember thinking at one point that he seemed like an exasperated dad?? i didn't really have any basis for it but that observation was there nonetheless.

now:

exasperated dad? more like hyper 3 year old. hes literally one of the loudest and most energetic. what was i on. but i think hes the most precious and clingiest little toddler now!! i was right about the dork thing though, but its super cute how goofy and lame he is. also!! talent for days!! his dancing, singing (his falsetto is !!), composing is all incredible. the most important thing though? a godly leader. he's so caring and kind and full of love for his members it hurts me. we don't really see a serious leader hui, but thats okay because i think it means he tries to keep uni and ptg in good spirits by showing them cheerfulness. and that's amazing to me.

Jinho:

my most notable thought about jinho in shine was "how is he that small". i remember thinking it was cute how he pushed the giant one too, lmao. i didn't think much else of him beyond that, other than noticing how adorable he can be.

now:

ok yeah, jinho is cute and tiny and whatever- but now i Understand the power that he holds. how he looks with his hair pushed back for example. or how about that bruno mars cover he did with hui. (hhhhnngg). also?? he's not even That small. the ones that make him look itty bitty are Literally just giants. but aside from his appearance, jinho is probably my favorite vocalist like!! i appreciate him s o much. (listen to his cover of gethsemane and last night of october for clear skin) of course jinho is also very cute though!! so i was right about that at least! he just also has many other great sides to him that i worry are overlooked!

Hongseok:

i didn't,,,notice him. at ALL. like i just glossed over his existence completely when i first saw shine. and even after that- it took me a minute to pay him any mind. when i did finally notice him though, i noticed his smile. i remember i was watching videos with my girlfriend and i pointed him out to her! that was mostly because i felt bad for not really having any strong opinion on him though oops. anyways i ended up just thinking he was a mom. and i was really impressed by his english and strength.

now:

real talk, it pained me to write all of that out!! bc now?? omg hong is my everything- but thats kind of obvious. anyways!! hes so f u nn y !!! its absolutely a stupid kind of funny and hes definitely annoying but i adore it. also the mom thing is only kind of true. he has the capacity to be maternal and take care of them, but he's way more likely to make fun of literally every single member. he's more like an older brother that never leaves his siblings alone and thinks he's funnier than he is. and we hate him for it. anyways, his voice is So underrated im. angery. he has such a beautiful voice, just in general, and on top of that- his singing is lovely. like yes, more hong solo please.

Hyojong:

i definitely took note of him immediately! his voice is very distinctive, and he stands out a lot in shine. which is really saying something. i thought he was really talented for sure! and i almost felt he was too cool for me to be looking at. i kind of got the vibe he'd be pretty icy i guess?

now:

he's not intimidating at all. like not even a little bit. bc he's not taking himself as seriously as i thought he was lmao. also hes so l o u d . and a plant man. but i think the best thing about edawn is his unpredictability! i never really know what to expect from him and i like that.

Shinwon:

then:

i thought he was HOT. i already thought he was handsome in the 0.3 seconds of screentime he got in shine. but a friend of mine showed me clips of him from that couples game video and. o o f. i really couldn't get over how pretty he was. it didn't help that this was the same video where him and kino were doing that dance. personality wise, i don't remember much standing out to me. other than how easily scared he is.

now:

shinwon is soooo embarrassing. i wouldn't say hes completely shameless about it though, but he's shameless to the point of actually doing the stupid shit so im. still enraged about it. he legitimately makes me physically look away sometimes when im watching a video and he's being weird. theyre all my kids, and i love them. but he's the child im ashamed of lmao. moving on, hes a real cutie pie. that fact that he gets so scared so easily is both really funny and super endearing. but he's just a playful baby and im honestly glad that hes has so much fun.

Changgu:

then:

i noticed him less than hongseok. like i dont think i had a single notable first impression of him.

now:

past dess was one entire Doofus huh. like changgu is a whole ass blessing to this planet and you mean to tell me that she overlooked him??!! anyways, though, he has an elephant heart for sure. such a genuinely empathetic and truly kind person!! he never fails to warm my heart with his sincerity and i love that about him. he's also part of the idiot squad though, with how he goes along with hong's antics. we hate that. and all his impressions + dumb faces. speaking of faces though,,, his acting?? i love it!! he's really talented, like when i watch pretty pretty i kind of forget that changgu is even playing a role. and his d a n c i n g!! underrated dance king! underrated king in general, how about that.

Yanan:

then:

my first bias in ptg!!! i fell in love with him instantly! i loved how tall he is, and the white hair and his i c o n i c "my baby"!! like i was whipped from the gate. i remember liking his duality back then too!!

now:

ok so, since he was bias immediately, i noticed more about him than anyone else. which means i have less to write oops. but thats okay because at least i had a bit of taste back then. but, yanan is hilarious. he's so clever and funny and you can tell how effortless it is. most iconic ptg sayings are something from yanan and thats just amazing. the big thing i notice now that i didn't really before, though, is that fact that his duality is so shocking because he's literally just as unpredictable as hyojong. its impossible to really tell what hes going to do next, and i think it catches people off guard more with yanan because even that aspect of him is unexpected.

Yuto:

then:

i thought he was kinda scary!! idk he seemed so cold and i couldn't really relate to that so i didn't grow very attached to him.

now:

he's so pure!!! hes said that he has a hard time expressing his feelings but i don't really see it? because he always seems so happy to be around ptg and having fun with them even if he isn't usually the one playing around!! he loves them so much tbh and its the sweetest thing :( everything about yuto is so sweet, because he cares a lot about the people around him and doesn't want anyone to get hurt- even if its fake or a joke. and like, he's really hardworking too!! ptg have said multiple times that he works the hardest, and that really is saying something imo! and like, you can just see it even without being told that. whether its his workout journey pentory or the fact that he's literally been learning guitar. also!! omg the lyrics he writes?? heartwarming, romantic and life changing!! seasons and cosmo made me a different person. but yeah, he's such an amazing, warm person and i cant believe i found him scary.

Kino:

then:

i thought he was the main vocal. like no joke, he was so charismatic and flaunting so much in shine that i was like "ah yes. the main vocalist" hhhggg. i remember thinking he was pretty though, and that his stage name was super cute. but i wasn't very interested in learning about him, despite how he really caught my eye. for some reason, though, i eventually got the thought that he was really pure.

now:

main vocal hdzfhh kino relax you're confusing ppl. of course he has an amazing voice and it always sounds incredible but!! what amuses me is the way he sings always sounds kinda like he's trying to be sexy and?? its so funny in ballads and stuff imo. but yeah, that "sensual"?? singing is what threw me off back then. buf more importantly, i just wanna mention the pure thing- because its a confusing situation. on one hand, kino has a heart of gold that not only adores uni but is also accepting. as well as how he's constantly bringing light into the world with his words and truly bright outlook. but on the other hand he's a demon that dances like That and is so dangerous when he wants to be!! so!! what's it gonna be kino, make up your mind :( anyways, listen to knnovations. esp bad timing and 224.12!!

Wooseok:

i loved him instantly. he looked like an overgrown 10 year old in my eyes and that's just. precious. i thought he was pretty funny too!!

now:

if i took off my hong glasses for long enough, id be able to say that i think he's the funniest in ptg. because he's so hilarious in my eyes like? he makes me do an ugly wheeze laugh, and a lot of my favorite ptg moments involve him in some way lmao. but he is actually a baby, so i was onto something there with the overgrown 10 y/o thing. despite being really funny though, i do think he tends to be quiet more often than like hui or shinwon and he hardly ever smiles, unless he's like laughing and thats makes me think that he's kind of awkward?? not in like a bad way, but i just kind of see that i guess. but!! something that i think is passed over a lot with woo is the fact that he usually has a hand in composing, and also that he writes his raps?? like that's so cool, we love that!!

ok! so that was my lame little essay lmao. i hoped you liked if you read it all! im just glad to say that i really appreciate pentagon as a whole, and how much joy they bring into my life nowadays!! i feel like ive found a place to call my own with uni and with pentagon :)

Straight after the wedding ceremony the guests were escorted to the Gazebo where the reception was to take place whilst Liam, Kayliegh and the bridal party went off to get their formal pictures taken. After spending the next hour getting their photos taken, they all headed for the gazebo where they were to have reception drinks followed the speeches then a three-course meal.

Once everyone was seated, Drake was the first to make a toast.

“um…as most of you know, my names Drake also known as Liam's best friend and best man, I had the honour of being in the room when Liam and Kayliegh first met and I’ll be honest, I thought he was crazy, when he told us he was going to stay at her house without security or anything…I nearly dragged him out of there myself” he laughed “but the next time we seen him after it was at the UN party and let me tell you…the smirk that man had on his face!” the room laughed “I’m telling you! When we spoke to him that evening, he was smitten…I warned him, I said listen man, just be careful, this woman she’s been through a lot! And he assured me he would never do anything to hurt her, which everyone who knows Liam knows he wouldn’t! when Kayliegh left upset that night, without question without a thought he was hightailing after her. The whole plane ride home he wouldn’t take his head out of his phone, he was messaging her, video calling her. I have never seen Liam so caught up in a woman in my life. And I’m so glad that woman is Kayliegh because these two people are perfect for each other, I don’t think I’ve ever seen my best friend so happy. So…a toast to Liam and Kayliegh, may your marriage be long and happy, I wish you both all the best” everyone raised their glasses then took a sip of their drinks.

Allie was next up. she stood to her feet with her drink in her hand.

“hello everyone, I’m Allie, Kayliegh is not only my sister but my best friend. We have spent the whole of our lives getting to know each other, we used to fight a lot…like ALOT” both Allie and Kayliegh laughed “when I was fourteen and you were seventeen and every time you left the house I would raid your things, especially your jewellery and shoes and I remember you were going out on your first date, and you had picked out your outfit like a week in advance, you were so excited to go, when it came to you getting ready for him to come and pick you up, you couldn’t find the shoes you had picked out…and that’s because little ole me got sticky fingers” everyone laughed “we were driving mom and dad crazy! You were shouting at me because you knew there was a 99% chance it was me who moved them, I was shouting at you because I had them but I had broken the strap on them so I refused to admit that I had done it…so I have something for you” Allie smirked as she lifted a box from beside her seat and passed it to Kayliegh, who opened the box then laughed as she lifted the small burnt orange coloured block heeled sandals from it, in perfect condition. “you little snake” Kayliegh laughed “thank you” she smirked “what I most remember about that night is watching you wait in the living room for over an hour when the guy didn’t show up…my point in telling this story is that you have had so many let downs in your life Kayliegh, every time you got knocked down, you fell harder, eventually you decided to focus on your work and only your work! You refused to let anyone get in your way, you stuck to it and became one of the most amazing women to walk the planet, you didn’t just achieve your dreams you built them from scratch, from the ground up and I have never been more proud of anyone in my life. It wasn’t long after you started your brand that Louis tumbled into your life…and after everything that happened with him, I wasn’t sure you were going to make it back from that one…it scared me a lot seeing you in such a bad place. When I was serving Liam and the rest of the guys that night in the restaurant, I knew something was there…as soon as I met him, you instantly popped into my head. when the opportunity arose for you two to meet, I couldn’t turn down a little matchmaking.” Everyone laughed “the second you guys met each other…oh my goodness I have never felt so much electricity between two people.” She smiled as she looked between both Liam and Kayliegh. “over the past year and a half, you have become so much happier and that makes me so soo happy. I want to thank Liam…for being such an amazing person towards my sister, I couldn’t imagine a better partner for her to spend the rest of her life with. I love you both so much. To Liam and Kayliegh”

“To Liam and Kayliegh!” everyone raised their glasses before taking a drink. The next person to make a toast was Leo. He stood to his feet looking Liam dead in the eyes with a smirk. Liam had warned him prior to wedding not to embarrass him, but he knew his brother…he knew him too well. Leo was not going to pass the opportunity to make everyone laugh.

“Ladies and gentlemen, I stand here before you at my brother’s wedding, it’s clear that he’s come a long way. Once he could barely decide which pastry to have for breakfast…and now he’s the ruler of an entire kingdom,”

“well, it’s a lot easier to pick your breakfast when your older brother isn’t around to steal all the Danishes.” Liam laughed along with all the other guests. Leo smirked knowing Liam wouldn’t let him embarrass him.

“All jokes aside, it truly is an honour to be here tonight. When I abdicated the throne, I knew deep down that I was doing Cordonia a favour. “well, I think it’s my turn” he smirked

“Ladies and Gentlemen, I want to thank you all for being here with us today to celebrate our wedding! I truly appreciate all of your support! I want to thank my new wife, Kayliegh. I always thought a long distance relationship wouldn’t work, especially with my status, it was out of the question, but then I met you and you changed my world, after spending those two days with you, I was smitten, there was no way I would have left without having some way of keeping in contact with you. Being so far away from you Kayliegh, made the time we actually got to spend together so much better and I am grateful for every second that we get to spend together. When you told me, you were coming to Cordonia for the first time I was elated! I was so happy I was finally getting the chance to show you where I live. You make me happier than I’d ever dare to dream possible, you make me a better king and a better man. I may be a king, but my greatest honour is to be the man you have chosen to stand by your side, for the rest of our lives. To Kayliegh…the Queen of my heart long may she reign!”

Everyone cheered as they raised their glasses then took a sip of their drinks as Liam sat down, he lifted his glass and clinked it with Kaylieghs “I love you” he smiled “I love you too” she leaned in placing the sweetest kiss on his lips.

Kayliegh then stood to her feet with a smile.

“hi everyone, most people who know me, know I don’t like speaking in front of people, I get very nervous In front of large crowds, so I’m going to keep this short and sweet” she smiled “I want to thank you all so much for coming to share this day with us, we are so happy you all could be here. I want to thank the whole bridal party; you all look AMAZING! If I do say so myself” everyone laughed knowing she was the one who made the outfits “no you do, you all look amazing! I want to say thank you to my sister, you are the most amazing person and I love you so much! And lastly I want to say thank you to my new husband, I love you so much, I couldn’t ask for a more amazing husband, you mean the world to me and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life by your side. To Liam” she raised her glass “the man who holds my heart” everyone cheered then took a sip of their drinks.

It wasn’t too long after that everyone was tucking into their meals. By the time it hit five thirty, everyone had finished eating and it was time for Liam and Kayliegh’s first dance as husband and wife. Liam offered his hand out for her to take as he stood from the table “shall we” he asked, “we shall” She nodded with a gentle smile as she placed her hand in his then stood from her seat. The two made their way to the dance floor, just as the melody started Liam gently took one of her hands in his, then he placed his other hand on the middle of her back whilst she placed her arm over his upper arm her hand on the back of his shoulder. She was practically leaning on his chest. The two swayed together as the slow song filled the room. With her head leaning on Liam’s chest, Kayliegh closed her eyes and listened to the music as they danced.

As they swayed slowly to the music Liam leaned down and whispered in her ear “I love you so much”

“I love you too” she whispered in return.

Once the song came to an end the rest of the guests joined Liam and Kayliegh for the next song.

“do me a favour” Kayliegh whispered as she stayed leaning against his chest.

“anything”

“Don’t move away from me for a minute” Liam looked down at her with a confused smile to see a tear falling down her face.

“is everything okay?” he asked as he gently wiped her cheek.

“yeah, I’m just…really happy” she giggled.

The couple spent the rest of the night dancing and drinking, and just being with their family and friends. By the time the end of the night came Liam and Kayliegh were both well and truly ready to be alone. They both approached their group of friends from across the room.

“Kayliegh!!!” A drunk Allie called loudly with a laugh as they got closer. She ran over wrapping her arms around her sister. “I love you Kayliegh bear”

“I love you too Allie bear” Kayliegh giggled “I have to go speak with Bastian about something I’ll be back in a minute” Kayliegh stated before heading over in Bastian's direction who was not far from them.

“Your Majesty” Bastian bowed his head.

“oh goodness, I don’t think I’ll ever get used to that” she giggled

“I’m sure you’ll adjust to it” he smirked

“could you do me a huge favour Bastian?” she asked

“of course, anything”

“my sister, she’s extremely drunk, Liam and I are going to head out, but I know I’ll worry about her if I don’t ask, but could you get Mara to make sure she gets to her room okay? I would ask her, but I don’t know where she’s gone”

“of course, don’t worry about it, I’ll make sure your sister gets back safe”

“thank you so much Bastian”

“have a good evening, your Majesty” he bowed before she bid him goodnight then headed back over towards Liam and their friends.

“is everything okay?” Liam asked as he leaned down quietly asking in her ear.

“yeah, I was just asking Bastian if he could make sure Allie got to her room okay, she’s very drunk, I’ll just worry if I leave her here without someone to make sure she gets back okay.”

“Bastian will make sure she’s alright” he smiled as his hand gently landed on her lower back.

“are you ready to get going?” he asked her.

“more than ready” she smirked

“alright guys, we’re going to head out, but we’ll see you tomorrow” Liam smiled

“goodnight everyone” Kayliegh added then pointedly stared at Allie “don’t drink anymore alcohol, I’m cutting you off” she smirked

“boooo!!” Allie called

“shush, I love you, goodnight”

“ooo I love you too Kayliegh bear, now go get some ass!”

“Allie!” Kayliegh laughed as she blushed causing Liam to chuckle.

THIS FIC WRECKED ME, from the day I read it and onwards I’ve only been a shell. No but seriously though, this fic is a masterpiece, probably one of my all time favorite fictions. It’s so well written and it just gives me all the feels, even thinking about it makes me want to cry. Also, I’ve never wanted to just scream FUCK YOU TAEHYUNG as much as when reading this.

I’ll never be her by anon-luv: ☽

Synopsis: You loved him with all your heart, but he could only give you half of his. Jimin was the love of your life, your night in shining armor when she wasn’t around. She was his ex girlfriend, his first love, actually she was his many firsts and she kept coming back. He had warned you she was his weakness, but you didn’t listen, because to you having him even if it was only partially was better than not having him at all. At least for now.

If you haven’t noticed it already, I’m currently in a love hate relationship with angst. Speaking of love hate relationships, this fic. It’s sooo sad, yet I can’t hate it.

A lack of color by minflix ❦ ☽☠

Synopsos: Slowly but surely, you were starting to warm up to the idea of forever seeing in black and white as long as Jimin was by your side.

This is another minflix fic that I love, can’t recommend it enough if you’re a fan of angst (like me).

Baby, baby by hobiwonder ❦ ☽☠

Synopsis: When you’ve run out of savings to continue on to the last semester of your Bachelors - you take an unorthodox route. Helping a desperate couple have a child and getting paid for it? Heck yeah. But what do you know - it wasn’t as easy as it sounds.

Another hobiwonder fic, but is anybody even slightly surprised. This one is my personal favorite of hers/his though, the writing style is 10/10 and the plot is AMAZING. Also, the sexual tension, I’VE NEVER FELT ANYTHING QUITE LIKE IT

If there’s one author out there that never fails to make me cry it’s evangelene. This fiction is a whole rollercoaster ride, and I honestly doubt I’ve ever cried as much as when reading this. THIS WILL MAKE YOU CRY

Synopsis: It was all shits and giggles when you and Taehyung were desperate seniors in High School, having no idea what to do with your lives, wondering if you’d ever find a decent job or even graduate in the first place. It is not so funny anymore when you come home from the big city to enjoy your vacation time and you find his sex-shop right in front of the house you grew up in when you were a kid. “If nothing works out I’m just gonna open a sex shop and call it something obnoxious like ‘Dick on the Go’ or something with a stupid zucchini logo flashing on top of the building.” He had said one time. Shit, you had no idea he actually meant it.

This is plain crack, like I have NO clue what’s happening, but I can’t deny enjoying it...A lot...

This is a hanahaki fic, and it’s really good. There’s something about hanahaki diseases that is so beautifully sad, idk why but I love this concept.

With what was supposed to be a harmless way of paying off college debt faster you find yourself falling into a very odd and passionate relationship with your new mentor. Between infidelity, passion and jealousy there’s never a dull moment at Cherry Bomb.

I love this fic with my whole heart, it’s so addicting and amazing and fabulous and everything I ever could have wished for. And can we please talk about Jungkook in this; a literal god.

One thing right by hobios: ❦ ☽☠

Synopsis: “i’ve been wrong about a million times, but i’ve got one thing right.” Or, desperate to get your ailing mother into the best care possible, you ask your childhood friend turned enemy to marry you for his health insurance benefits. the only problem is it’s illegal. and he’s the sheriff. and you swore to hate him since the day he broke your best friend’s heart.

The plot in this story is arguably quite basic and cliché, BUT don’t let that stop you from reading it. Because the writing is so so so beautiful.

Synopsis: How do you tell your best friend that the reason you can’t hang out with her is because you’re too busy trying to save New York? Or, “Are you asking me if I piss out webs?”

Don’t we all love a good spiderman au? It’s light hearted, cute and everything I could possibly have asked for.

Bitchin’ by kinktae: ❦☠

Synopsis: The 80s were a time of choices. Which perm was right for you? What color neon would you wear next? None of these choices, however, were more questionable than a certain deal you made with Jeon Jungkook.

I love love love love love love this fic, and its portrail of Jungkook. It’s so so so so so so so so good.

Synopsis: It was you who Jungkook gave his heart to- that is, until the day you broke it. And it is you now, hoping that some fault lines can be repaired, and that some broken hearts can be put back together again.

The only thing I remember is crying a whole river. Like this fic broke my heart into millions of tiny pieces, put it back together and stepped on it. Its portrail of cheating and its consequences are very real, almost too real.

Synopsis: The worlds biggest boy band, and probably the most famous group of hybrids to ever exist. Somehow they found you, just a normal human, despite all odds. Now they just need to convince you to stay

This is actually a second updated version of this series, and the author really succeeded with the update, the writing style is very good and the fic as a whole a lot less cliché.

Bad guy by sweetbunnykookie (Jin/reader, Hoseok/Reader/Suga): ☽☠

Synopsis: After a brutal attack in Hong Kong, your marriage with Kim Seokjin cracks as secrets begin to surface and a series of betrayals find their way into the veins of the Hidden Tigers. Although Jin’s devotion endures, in his own definition, the reality of being a mob wife may be too much for you to bear.

This fic is dark, sad and beautiful.

Beautifully misfit by orphicbts (maknae line/reader): ❦ ☽☠

Synopsis: You never really saw yourself as a hybrid person. that is, until your best friend introduces you to his hybrid, and you suddenly find yourself craving the companionship. you only intended to bring home one. somewhere between the lines you ended up with three beautifully misfit hybrids who craved nothing but your love.

Hanahaki by EminEmGurlz (Everyone/everyone? This is a mess): ☽

Synopsis: The Hanahaki Disease is an illness born from one-sided love, where the patient throws up and coughs up flower petals when they suffer from one-sided love. The infection can be removed through surgery, but the feelings disappear along with the petals.

This fic hurts like hell. Its another hanahaki one, and I don’t think I’ve ever felt my heart break as many times as in this fic. Even though the writing style is as light as a breeze, it doesn’t stop this fic from hurting.

Heartbeat by resugance (OT7/reader): ❦☠

Synopsis: When you put out a roommates ad for your newly purchased house, the only requirement you set out had been cleanliness. The last thing you’d expected was for the 7 most eligible bachelors of your university to come calling.Throw in school, crazy fan girls and the most sought for men suddenly chasing after you with heart eyes, comes a college experience of a lifetime. Would it be so wrong to want them all?

This is another one of the series which has yet to be complete, or even close to it. But either way, once I read the first chapter I was HOOKED. And I cannot wait for the continuation.

House of cards by sugamins (Kim Taehyung/Jeon Jungkook/Park JImin ft. ot7): ☽☠

Synopsis: Jungkook is the heir to a mob empire, the most notorious in the whole of Seoul. Taehyung is a rookie sent in to infiltrate by his select team and bring the empire crumbling down."You knew the game and played it, it kills to know that you have been defeated."

This is arguably THE best BTS fic out there, and that is not because of nothing. It’s so well written and deserves ALL the praise it’s been given. Warning though, it´s a VEEEERY dark fic.

Legacy by fantasybangtan (maknae line/reader): ❦

Synopsis: four children, each comprising one quarter of a sacred prophecy. As royal in a kingdom divided by war, you are expected to fulfil the destiny that has been mapped out for you since birth: find yourself a nobleman, and unify your country’s people through marriage. unfortunately for you, your choices are somewhat limited…

I love love love this fic, it’s such an original and cute idea. And the writer has a really beutiful writing style !! Satisfy by kookiemonster (kim line/reader):

Trivial Pursuits by foreignfingers (OT7/reader): ❦☠

Synopsis: College life is not what you expected and befriending your peers is a challenge, at least until your coworkers invite you to join their weekly trivia night. Sexual tension skyrockets as you befriend this curious group of handsome young men.

WOAHHHHHH, this is such a good fic. AND THE SEXUAL TENSION, I’ve never felt anything like it before.

Tainting Purity by sevenincubisstolemyheart (OT7/reader): ☠

Synopsis: If someone told you that demons would be an everyday part of society a month ago you would have called them crazy. But now that they actually were, you were surprised to find them much more docile than you would’ve initially assumed. In fact, it was the Humans who were hurting them, more often than not. So when you get fed up and stand up for an innocent demon being attacked, you shouldn’t have been so surprised when your own species turned on you, including your own parents, and left you to fend for yourself. Luckily, the newly made treaty calls for a Human to live with demons if there’s 5 or more, and so, you’re now rooming with 7 demons. But not just any kind of demons. Incubi. Your life has suddenly just gotten a whole lot more interesting.

3 years of loving (1) man.

I love this man. But, that isn’t even enough to say. I feel like the word “love” for him isn’t even close to what I feel. If Niall wasn’t in my life, I would feel completely empty. My heart would not get the joy, that I get from him anywhere else. Niall James Horan isn’t just a funny, good looking celebrity to me. He is my safe zone, and writing this post I can’t even find words. There really isn’t anything I can say besides he has captured me like no one else has. He makes me feel happy, he makes me laugh, smile, cry, scream, shout, and get so excited that I can’t breathe. Makes me tear up, without even trying. And, I can’t really tell you why. But, I can tell you exactly why I love him. Let me just start by saying, he spent his birthday at Rays of Sunshine. A place for kids and charity. He sat there and sang, and laughed with his fans. Not only that but he has an organization right now going to two very important causes. No one asked him to do that, he did it all himself. His groove and passion for life inspires me beyond compare. That man has gotten me through some of the toughest moments, in my life. He is honestly the sweetest person on planet earth. Niall is so kind and light hearted. He always and I always say this puts himself last, and would do anything to show the ones that love him, that he loves them back. But not just loves them back. He loves them even harder then they love him. His voice touches me in ways I didn’t even know were possible. How do I even describe how much I love him? My happiness would not look real without him. He works so incredibly hard, and he deserves everything he has and more. I honestly just get speechless trying to express how much I love him, because no one will ever understand. I know that one of the best days of my life will be when I’m in his arms and I tell him how much of an amazing human he is. I know when I actually feel him in my arms, and know that he’s real it will be a feeling that I can’t even describe. He isn’t a person I can go to in my day to day life. He is so MUCH more. Incredibly more, he is someone I can look at and instantly feel better, someone I can hear and feel like nothing else matters except him. Okay, I can’t start this post. My fingers are gonna be broke after this. Niall James Horan really just hits the spot for me. Before I explain why I love him with my whole heart, and why he is truly the one and only true love of my life, I need y’all to know I mean every word I am saying. Niall always cheers me up when I’m down like no one ever could. I started loving him when I was 11 or 12 and now I am 17. His album that he put out is just pure beauty and art and he needs to know that. He opened his heart out to all of the people who love him and he wasn’t scared to see what they thought. I’ve never heard anyone open up like he did, ever. I am speechless. I really am. Every single time he gets on that stage he owns it and he makes sure everyone is having the time of their life. He really means EVERYTHING TO me. I really would not have the joy and satisfaction and smile I have for life without him, none of it. He really just deserves the absolute freaking best. He always works his best and puts out his best and that’s what he deserves. No one will ever know how much this man truly means to me. His joy for life and his care free attitude and his heart that shines out the most to me. He really started with nothing and he did this all by himself, he made himself the artist he is today. And everyday that goes by I think of him. Not one day passes without thinking of him. He loves all of us so much and shows us that every single day. He really made me love myself as a person and I’m just realizing that now. He brings out the best of me and my happiness. This may all sound so cheesy but this bub continues to make me so happy. The lyrics he writes are so pure and it’s like he knows what the fans want to hear. He’s sold billons off copies and I’m just so so proud of him. I feel such at home at any 1D show or his show, it’s crazy. He really is just the sweetest person and I want to repeat it 5000000 times. There’s so many people who love him and that’s all he deserves. So much love and happiness. He is so kind, funny, sweet, handsome... etc ... Basically you could say he has one of those perfect souls. I wake up everyday and think of him and smile because of him. 😭💓 TALENT . I wasn’t even done I just want him to realize how special he is. I wish I could just go up to him and tell him all of this. 😭 He really is as corny as it is a light in the dark for me. I am so proud of you and I hope that you enjoy the break you have because you deserve and need it. He helps me like I wouldn’t believe, even I don’t know how much he helps me. His sarcasm in his humor, the way he is so gentle with fans. His nature to always make people feel wanted and loved. His weird way of making me feel that for myself. There’s so many simple things I love about him, but countless deep things that I honestly can’t word. His boldness, his cariama, his ALL. I could go on but there’s not one thing that I don’t love about him. It’s mind blowing. I don’t know who or where I would be without him.
