you smiled at his excitement. once he calmed down he took a seat next to you and you finally got a good look at what he ordered: chocolate ice cream with chocolate syrup, chocolate sprinkles, chocolate shavings, and...gummy bears ?

it was an interesting order that was for sure. bokuto gave you another wide smile, the only problem was that it was a colorful smile. you started laughing, “k-kou you have gummy bears stuck in your teeth.” you mustered out through giggles. bokuto’s face turned red and he immediately grabbed your phone to check if what you said was true.

he heard a few muffled sounds coming from the other side until the door finally opened. he got a good look at you, puffy red eyes and tissues in a pile behind you.

he grabbed your wrist and pulled you closer to him. he buried his face in your hair before mumbling, “i’m so sorry. i’m so so sorry.”

your hands slowly wrapped around his waist and he felt your tears soaking his sweatshirt.

“y/n ?” he asked. you slowly looked up to him, tears still in your eyes. “i love you.”

OIKAWA TOORU:

he was constantly being surrounded by fangirls and you couldn’t help but feel a little jealous.

i mean it was natural right ? he was accepting gifts left and right and they were all from pretty girls and you felt like you couldn’t compare.

you gathered up all of your courage and finally decided to ask him about it one day.

this resulted in a small argument and he ended up raising his voice a little.

he walked off to practice without a word and left you outside with tears in your eyes.

“oi shittykawa !” called iwaizumi. “your sets are lousy today, what’s distracting you ?” the brown haired setter looked at his best friend.

“iwa-chan ! my sets are not lousy !” he protested. he knew damn well that it was a lie though. he had been distracted the whole time and it was pretty obvious.

“yeah right.” iwaizumi mumbled. “we’re ending practice early today since someone can’t get his head in the game.” he said.

oikawa had been thinking of you the whole time, he thought about the harsh words that he had said to you. “y/n knows i didn’t mean that right ?” he whispered to himself.

he was trying to reassure himself that you were fine, when in reality you weren’t. you were sitting at home, trying to forget about it by eating a whole tub of ice cream.

“alright whats going on ?” iwaizumi asked. “you say it’s nothing but i can see that there’s clearly something wrong.”

“iwa-chan i dont know what to do i think y/n is mad at me.” the setter pouted. “what did you do ?” “WHY ARE YOU IMMEDIATELY ASSUMING ITS ME ?” oikawa whined.

“well i may have said some mean words to her.” he mumbled under his breath, only to receive a big whack on the head. “ouch.”

“you idiot go apologize right now ! she just needed reassurance and you called her insecure and needy ? what kind of boyfriend are you ?”

the brown haired setter sighed. “i know iwa-chan.” and with another smack on the head he was rushing off to your house with a bouquet of your favorite flowers in hand.

you heard a few knocks on the door followed by a familiar voice call, “y/n please open the door !” you huffed in annoyance.

“go away you bitch !” you yelled back. you heard a dramatic gasp come from the other side. “i’m hurt ! just open the door please.” you huffed again and marched your way to the door, swinging it open to find your boyfriend standing there with a big smile on his face.

“i’m sorry y/n, to me you’re the most beautiful girl in the world and no one else can compare.” he said with a wink.

your eyes started watering, “i forgive you.” you mumbled giving him a hug. “cheesy idiot.” you giggled. “HEY ! THATS MEAN !” he whined. “but its true !”

a/n. ahhhhh this is so cute ! when i saw the rock i immediately thought of iwaizumi’s arms— so here you go <33 this doesn’t really relate to the emoji much but i still hope you like it!

you shifted around nervously, it was currently three in the morning and you still hadn’t managed to get any sleep in.

iwaizumi was snoring softly next to you, he was facing the wall and his back was turned away from you.

you had always been scared of the dark but you never wanted to admit it, which was probably a bad idea because thats the reason you were awake right now.

you reluctantly reached a hand out and tapped his back lightly. when he didn’t wake up, you decided to try again but a little harder this time.

a soft grunt was echoed through the room as he turned around to look at you, trying to blink the sleep out of his eyes.

“y/n ? are you okay ? its...” he turned around to check the time on the alarm clock, “three in the morning. did you have a nightmare ?”

you shook your head. “no i’m fine, i’m just scared.” you said quietly, embarrassed to admit that you were afraid of the dark.

he let out a sigh of relief before laying back down and opening his arms for you to crawl in.

you quickly made yourself comfortable in his arms and buried your face in his chest.

you poked at his biceps— “your muscles are as hard as rock.” you giggled quietly. “but they’re still comfortable.” you added.

iwaizumi let out a soft chuckle before placing a gentle kiss on your lips. “go to sleep.”

you obeyed, allowing yourself to drift off to dreamland, hoping to meet him there.

“hurry up tooru !” you called from outside his bedroom door. “you’re taking a while, we might miss the bus.” you said in a slight panic.

“one second y/n-chan i need to make sure my hair looks good.” he called back. you rolled your eyes before letting out a giggle.

of course he needed his hair to look good. you decided to tease him a little. “who are you trying to impress ?” you asked, wigging your eyebrows.

you heard a huff come from inside. “no one ! i only have you to impress.” he said before opening the door a crack and winking at you.

it was three in the afternoon when you all finally arrived at the beach. the sun was scorching and you were dying to get in the water.

“i’m gonna go change.” you told oikawa who nodded in response. you sighed before heading into the bathrooms and putting on your new swimsuit that your friends had helped pick out.

you found your boyfriend standing outside the door waiting for you. his jaw dropped as he looked you up and down before slapping his hands over his eyes.

“y/n-chan how can you wear something so scandalous ! in front of the whole team too.” he whined. “tooru it’s literally a bathing suit—”

he huffed before you could even finish your sentence, he made his way behind you before wrapping his arms around your waist to cover your stomach.

“there. now we can go.” he hummed happily. “are you going to stick to me for the whole day ?” you asked with a sigh.

“yep.”

“y/n—” bokuto quickly slapped his hand over his mouth when he found you sleeping on the couch, cuddling the teddy bear he got you for your birthday.

he squealed quietly before beginning to plant kisses all over your face, causing you to wake up. “bo ? you’re home ?” you asked, confused.

“you bet i am !” he said with a big smile on his face. you let out a quiet giggle that made his heart flutter.

“i was going to surprise you, how did you know i was here ?” you asked. “i saw your shoes at the door !” he said excitedly.

“you’re cuddling the teddy bear i gave you.” he said giving you another smile. “do you like it ?” you let out a soft laugh.

“i love it kou !” you responded. walking over to give him a kiss on the cheek. “okay thats good as long as you don’t love it more than me.” he said before huffing and crossing his arms.

you couldn’t help but laugh again, “of course not.”

“are you sleeping over ?” he asked, before placing his coat on the rack and leaving his volleyball shoes by the door.

you nodded you head and he jumped around in excitement. “can we watch a movie then ? but not a scary one ! i hate the scary ones.”
