Hope you are doing good! These times are so hard on us, just try to be easy on yourselfs and be kind.
I take an English language course just for fun this semester and to have some distraction from my master thesis... and basically from life and responsibilities.
It is a lot of fun and once a week my chance to wear makeup/get kind of ready.
Wish you all the best with your studies!

November Writing Challenge
I missed the beginning so here are days 2 and 3, hopefully I will be on top of the assignments by the end of the week.
Day 2: What is your favorite fall food or treat? Translate its recipe.
Mi piacciono davvero le zucche. In autunno ne faccio una zuppa deliziosissima. Ci vuole:
una zucca di hokkaido
una scatola di latte di coco
delle patate e patate dolci
una cipolla
aglio
curry e altre spezie
Ridurri tutto in purea.
buon apetitto!
Words I learned:
la zucca - pumpkin
le spezie - spices
il concentrato di pomodoro - tomato pureé
scaldare - to heat up
schiacciare - to smash
ridurre in purea - to puree
Day 3: What do you like to do on rainy days?
Words I learned:
ricaricare le batterie - regain energy
i calzini cuccolone - fluffy socks

for the linguistics anon: If you're looking for a program specifically in english, the linguitics programs offered at the undergrad level are usually only english linguitics and literature, which is essentially an english degree I think??? idk tho. sincerely, another canadain who wants to do the same thing
there’s actually a decent program like that in St. Petersburg that’s aimed at International students. it’s taught in english? but you’ll probably want to learn russian too so you can get around.

More I grow and more I want to know more languages, I wish I was born at least bilingual, because every new book I read, every new song I listen, every new show I watch, every new place I visit, I want to learn a new language so bad.
Two month ago I wanted to learn Japanese, thank to Yuri!!! on ice. This week I want to learn Norwegian thanks to Skam. Next month I’m going to Lisbon and I’m sure I’ll love Portuguese.
What can I do?

Today’s (and actually most days’) study space: my desk at home.
Yesterday I went to the library to get some literature for my term paper about Balanced Teaching. I really like this topic and can’t wait to do the actual analysis/lesson planning.
Today I spent my morning structuring the paper and got started on my notes. The plan is to finish those until monday and then finish the whole paper until wednesday. We’ll see how that works... But since I have another paper that should be done by 4/3 (due date is 21/3 but I won’t be able to write a lot after 4/3 so I reeeeally want to finish it before) I’m really motivated to write.
The Essay Plan is from @theorganisedstudent (I think she deleted :( ) and the Assessment Planner is from @emmastudies
