#like you wouldn't really guess they're batmans KIDS at first

big fan of the trope that is separate hero teams working with their respective bats but not knowing that they're Bats- and once they find out they go "Batman has KIDS?!?" but once it's known it becomes SO BLARINGLY OBVIOUS. the "how did we not notice before" kind of obvious.
Dick's glare (once you've done something to deserve it) definitely rivals Batman's. Jason's confident and sly smirks whenever he solves something can be seen on the Bat every time he's working. Tim's 'displeased and thinking' face is all Batman. Not to mention all of them lurk in the shadows and appear out of nowhere 90% of the time and are all crazy smart. Of course, if you told any of them that they were acting like Batman they'd throw up on the spot.

"Loving you is hard sometimes": PART 2
Pairing: Damian Wayne x Bat Family!Reader
Reader: Gender Neutral, has been part of the Bat Family for a while.
TAGS: @aesthxticneko
PART 1
Tumblr media
Type: Mild-angst
Warnings: swearing, blood, wounds
OTHER CHARACTERS: Dick Grayson
Summary: The both of you have been avoiding each other for a few weeks now. One day, Damian confronts you and challenges you to a "friendly" one-on-one. Due to his anger issues, Damian accidentally harms you badly. After recovery, Dick decides to make the both of you attend therapy.
______________________________________________________________
"So, who would like to start?" a blonde woman asks after taking a pen and opening her notebook. Damian sits across from you, crossing his arms. An awkward silence occurs for a few seconds. "Why do you think you're here?" she asks again. Damian turns to you, waiting for a response. "Well, I guess I'll start." you sigh, attempting to break the ice. "Well, I think we're here because of some issues the two of us have been having... with each other." you explain awkwardly while Damian stares at you weirdly. "Would you like to describe what those issues are?" the therapist asks, turning her attention towards your friend. He remains silent. "This is a safe place, Damian. We are here to help you resolve your problems." the woman explains. You look at your friend, crossing your arms as well. He looks back at you and rolls his eyes. "This is a waste of time." he grumbles. The woman sighs and goes through her notes.
"Well, Mr. Grayson filled me in a little about what happened during the last few weeks." she adds. "The two of you have stopped talking after a mission and after training, Y/N was found on the floor, bleeding, with a wound to the stomach." Damian immediately looks at the ground. "Would any one of you fill me in on what happened on the mission first?" Damian patiently waits for your answer once again. "I tried helping him out during the mission and he just wouldn't accept it, I guess. He says he doesn't need help with anything when he clearly does. I mean, he almost died on that mission before I intervened." The lady nods her head while listening to you and taking notes. "And, in the Batfamily, we do everything to help him out and he pretends like nothing ever happened. I guess I just had enough of his bullshit."
The therapist finishes writing her notes. "I see." she says. "How does that negligence affect you?" she asks you. "I guess it hurts me because he just doesn't notice the efforts I do for him, or anyone's, really." Damian finally speaks up: "Shut up! I do notice your efforts. They're just... unnecessary." he declares while looking at the floor. "I don't need any help. At all. Just accept it." You turn to him in disbelief. "Can you just accept that you do need help?!" you finally snap. "I've been pouring my heart out for you all these years and all I get in return is shit! You may be the grandson of Ra's al Ghul or even the son of Batman, but you're not invincible! Batman needs help, Ra's al Ghul needs help, everyone needs help! You just accept it!"
Damian rolls his eyes. "God, you're insufferable." he grumbles. You turn back to the therapist, fuming. She has a shocked expression on her face. "Well... I think it's better for all of us if we just end it here for today."
______________________________________________________________
"So, how'd it go?" Dick asks you while driving. "Terrible." you reply. "He can be a real pain in the ass sometimes." Dick laughs. "Yeah, true." he chuckles. You look at the window. "Does it still hurt?" Dick asks. "What? The wound or my feelings?" you ask him, still looking at the window. "The wound." he replies. "And also, can I ask what even happened in there? A nasty wound like that doesn't just grow overnight." You sigh. "Well, he wanted to spar after a few weeks of not talking. I went easy on him, but I guess he didn't. I don't know, kid has a lot of unresolved anger issues." You turn to Dick, tears in your eyes. "I can't take it anymore, Dick." You lean on your arm. "Am I doing something wrong?" Dick turns to you. "No, you aren't. Damian's just a little asshole sometimes." You wipe away your tears.
"God, why am I still in love with him?"

The Justice League Hangs out with Duke
Bruce: Duke, it's time we had the talk.
Duke: Uh... nope. No thank you. I'm not getting the sex talk from Batman.
Bruce: What? No! The Robin talk.
Duke: But, I'm- I'm the Signal now? Isn't it a bit late for a Robin talk?
Bruce: Son, it's never too late, not for this.
Duke: Um. Ok.
Bruce: When Dick, Jason, and Tim first started as Robins they created a tradition. A tradition that continued with Stephanie, Damian, and now you.
Duke: And that tradition is?
Bruce: Taking down the Justice League. By being annoying and slightly terrifying.
Duke: OHHHHHH. Is that why no one from the Justice League talks to me?
Bruce: Yes, yes it is. But don't worry. I made an arrangement that will allow you time alone with league members to continue the tradition. You have a week to prepare.
——————
Duke: Cass, what do I do?
Cass raises an eyebrow at Duke.
Duke: For the Robin tradition thing. I have to take down the entire Justice League in a night using creative, outlandish, and original methods. But it's already been done by Dick, Jason, Tim, Damian, and Steph. So what do I do? How can I be better than all of them.
Cass smirks: Take them down too.
Duke looking at Cass like she's crazy: What?
Cass: Take. Them. Down.
Duke: Holy shit, you are terrifying.
Cass just smiles and leaves.
-> One Week Later <-
Wonder Woman, Superman, Flash, Aquaman, Green Lantern, Black Canary, Martian Manhunter, Dick, Jason, Tim, Damian, and Steph gather in the Watchtower.
Duke: Hey guys, Batman just wanted to go through some training exercises with everyone. He'll be a little late. Harley and Ivy escaped Arkham and are trying to grow penis shaped shrubs in all the public parks. But, don't worry he asked me to go ahead and start with out him.
Green Lantern: Why are you leading this meeting?
Duke: Batman is running late and he wants me to practice leading meetings.
Green Lantern, glaring suspiciously at Duke: Are you about to do that stupid Robin tradition where you torture all of us?
Duke: What Robin tradition? Also, I'm not even a Robin? I'm the Signal.
Green Lantern continues to glare at him.
Superman: Calm down Green Lantern, the Robins never do this in front of each other.
Every League member seems to relax at this.
Duke acting confused: Uhhh, yeah. Ok, we have a few housekeeping things to do according to the list Batman left. So, I'll have everyone pair up for sparring while I handle these individually.
------
Everyone is in the training room working out or sparring. Duke approaches Tim.
Duke: Hey Tim, Bruce wanted you to look in to that Bludhaven case. Is that ok with you?
Tim: Yeah, why wouldn't it be?
Duke: Oh, I just thought it might be difficult considering what Dick did.
Tim: ...What did he do?
Duke: Wait, you haven't noticed? Oh no, I'm sorry I shouldn't have said anything.
Tim: Duke. Tell me what he did.
Duke: Well, Jason said that he replaced all your coffee with decaf.
Tim: THAT BASTARD. No wonder I've been feeling so tired! I'm going to kill him!
Duke: Wait, just stop! I heard that he hid all of it in Green Lantern's room.
Tim: Wait, why there?
Duke: Something about you being afraid of him.
Tim: WHAT?! I'm not afraid of the Green Nightlight! I'm gonna find that coffee then make Dick pay.
Duke: Oh, well cool, good luck!
------
Green Lantern: Um, what are you doing in my room?
Tim: Where is it?
Green Lantern: Where's what?
Tim: You know what I want. Give up now or face the consequences.
Green Lantern: WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?
Tim: Fine. Consequences.
------
Steph, sparring with Duke: So, what's it like being the first meta bat?
Duke: Not too bad, but I could do with out the whole 'predict the future' thing.
Steph, laughing: What? You can not see the future.
Duke: I bet you $50 I can
Steph: Your on.
Duke, makes everything around him light up and uses a weird voice: In the next thirty minutes Green Lantern will flee the Watchtower in fear. Soon after Dick will be attacked by Tim.
Steph, snorts in obvious disbelief.
Steph: That was so fake-
Green Lantern runs out of the tower looking terrified.
Steph: No way.
Tim tackles Dick and they start fighting like three year old's on the floor.
Steph, handing Duke $50: Holy shit Magic Man.
Duke makes things light up and does the voice again: Oh my god.
Steph, looking excited: What?!
Duke: The- the sushi. The sushi you brought today, it's made from-
Duke pretends to choke back a sob.
Duke: It's made from the fish who was the maid of honor at Aquaman's wedding.
Steph: HOLY SHIT.
------
Steph and Aquaman sit beside each other for lunch, she pulls out her sushi and looks at Aquaman sadly.
Steph: I am so, so sorry for your loss. But just know that her sacrifice is not in vain.
Aquaman, looks confused for a second then sees the sushi: NOPE. Not this again! I'm leaving.
Steph: Wait! I'm sorry!
Aquaman leaves as Steph tries to chase him down.
------
Jason is laughing and filming as Dick and Tim fight.
Duke, whistles: Man, imagine if that video went on YouTube.
Jason, looking confused: What?
Duke: I'm just saying if the video of Red Robin and Nightwing fighting like kids ever got on YouTube, it'd go viral. Oh and they would be so pissed!
Jason, laughs: Too bad B would kill me if I uploaded this.
Duke: Yeah, I guess so. And you can't upload it here because then Superman would get in trouble.
Jason: Why would the boy scout get in trouble?
Duke: Cause he always uses his YouTube account on the Justice League computer. So it'd look like he uploaded it and B would find out that Superman watches cat videos while he's on monitor duty.
Jason, smirking: Huh, so you're saying if I upload this on the League computer I'd piss off Bruce, Tim, and Dick and get Supes in trouble?
Duke, acting innocent: Huh, I guess so.
-> A Few Minutes Later <-
A call from Bruce comes up on the main computer.
Superman: Hey Batman, what can I do for you?
Bruce: You, Red Hood, cave now.
Jason: What? Why me?
Bruce: Because I saw that little home video you uploaded of your brothers.
Jason: What, that wasn't me!
Bruce: I could hear you laughing while you filmed.
Jason: Dammit.
Jason and Clark leave for the cave pouting like kids.
------
Duke: Hey, Black Canary?
Black Canary: Yes Duke?
Duke: I'm sorry to do this on such short notice, but I'm very worried about Dick and Tim.
Black Canary: Why?
Duke: Well, Tim keeps claiming that Dick is out to get him. Something about Dick messing with his coffee? And Dick feels like he's just being attacked for no reason and is worried about Tim's health. Is there anyway you could intervene?
Black Canary, looking sighing and looking exhausted: Usually I have three days of preparation before dealing with bats.
Duke: I know it's just-
Duke gestures to Tim and Dick rolling on the floor fighting.
Duke: They really need help.
Black Canary: Alright, I'll see what I can do.
Black Canary attempts to intervene only to get pulled into the fight. Now the three of them are tangled in a huge, confusing fight, that's filled with yelling and hair pulling.
------
Duke: Damian! Quick!
Damian: What is it Thomas.
Duke: I think somethings wrong with Dick and Tim and maybe even Black Canary. They're all fighting and won't stop! Can you help me contain them so that we can figure out what's going on?
Damian: Fine. I shall help.
Duke: Ok, just try to herd them into this containment cell.
Damian joins the fight managing to get everyone, including himself, into the containment cell. As Damian is trying to leave Duke closes the cell. Damian angrily yells and bangs on the sound proof walls.
Duke: What? Sorry, can't hear you! My hand slipped!
------
Wonder Woman: Very well done Signal.
Duke, acting innocent: Hm?
Wonder Woman: You tricked Red Robin into scaring Green Lantern away, then into fighting Nightwing. Once that fight broke out you tricked Red Hood into uploading a video to the internet using the Superman's credentials. By uploading that video he caused both himself and Superman to face Batman's wrath. You also used the fight to trick Stephanie into annoying Aquaman to the point of leaving. Then you involved Black Canary in the fight, which was her downfall. And, as a final touch, you managed to get Robin into the fight and trapped all in a containment cell. You successfully eliminated 9 foes with one trick.
Duke: You mean 11.
Wonder Woman: What?
Duke: 11. You see, I didn't trick Red Robin, I tricked Nightwing. I had a week to prepare. In that week I convinced Dick that Tim needed to cut back on the caffeine and that Dick should help by switching all of Tim's coffee with decaf. I also convinced him to hide that coffee in the watchtower, in Green Lantern's room. So that was all true.
Wonder Woman: But, that still does not make 11?
Duke: It does. Because This morning I moved the coffee. I replaced the Flashes decaf with Tim's ultra caffeinated coffee. You see Tim has it specially manufactured to increase the caffeine levels. And, while Flash doesn't usually drink his coffee in the morning, he's always running late and forgets, he does drink coffee during training breaks. Which is now. So in about five minutes we will have an incredibly caffeinated speedster in the Watchtower. And since you're the only one around right now with a chance of catching him, that's your problem.
Right as Duke finishes Flash runs by, majorly hyped up on caffeine.
Duke: Checkmate.
------
Martian Manhunter: It appears that I am the last remaining League member.
Duke: Yeah, I don't really understand this tradition but apparently every Robin ends it by picking a favorite league member.
Martian Manhunter: Out of all the League members, why have you chosen me?
Duke: Your smart and have a lot of cool powers. Also, I dunno, I hear you sometimes feel like an outsider with the league. Cause, the whole martian thing. And I know it's not the same but, sometimes I feel like an outsider with the bats, being the only meta and all.
Martian Manhunter: You have chosen me so that we may bond over our lack of connections?
Duke: Uhhhh, yeah?
Martian Manhunter: Hm. Very well, I assume that this is your “Robin Weakness”. Apparently every Robin has one.

I was very surprised to hear you say that you wouldn't want an animated Super Sons show, if you feel like elaborating on that now, could you please explain why you think that is?
Well I like Super Sons in theory and I’m probably alone on this, but I just have too many issues with Damian portrayal in their comics and if I’m going to be completely honest. I genuinely think that his character was better off before it was made and that most hardcore SS fans are either just Jon’s fans or nasty J*nDami shippers (they're also a big reason as to why I don't want any more SS-related media), while most fans of Damian, especially the ones who have been here before SS, aren’t the biggest fans of that comic.
I mostly have 4 issues with Super Sons, the first issue is Damian’s and Jon’s extremely rushed friendship. Damian doesn’t open up to new people easily and those who are currently very close to him had to fight for a long time for Damian to allow them inside his walls, Jon on the hand had one fight with Damian the first time they met then all of the sudden, maybe 1 or 2 issues later, they became best friends who save the world together? In my opinion there was no build-up and it happened way too fast, most likely for no other reason beside DC wanting to sell a comic about the sons of Batman and Superman working together as fast as possible, so they didn’t bother developing their relationship properly beforehand and I while I love Jon on his own, I could never take his friendship with Damian seriously because of that. Especially considering that before he appeared, Damian had better relationship with other characters that in my opinion had the potential to have better dynamics than SS, but sadly they were all forgotten in order to make Jon be Damian’s best and only friend (I guess him having a team-up book with the daughter of No-Body, no pun intended, wouldn’t be as profitable/marketable as a team-up between the son of Batman and the son of Superman?)
The 2nd issue is the level of infantilizing Damian’s character. I feel like half the time the writers of SS do not really see Damian and Jon as their own characters, but instead they just write them in a normal story about “two kids fighting crimes together!” that might look appealing to young readers, but with basic characterization that isn’t unique to either of them and can fit almost any other fictional kid character in the universe. This of course isn’t as noticeable with Jon since he’s already similar to those stereotypical just-your-average-kid characters, but with Damian it comes off as very out-of-the-character. Not saying you can’t portray Damian as doing/saying childish things, it has been done before by other writers, the difference is that they managed to make it in a believable/in-character way that was still very much Damian-ish.
My main 3rd issue is that while he’s infantilized half the time, he’s demonized the other half (demonized might be too harsh of a word, but I couldn’t think if another one) basically I feel like with Super Sons, they take the whole “good cop & bad cop” act too seriously and obviously in this comic it’s Damian who end up as the bad cop, again, not saying that Damian is some angel that’s never mean/rude to others, but in his own solo he was much more 3-dimensional and was allowed to act in other ways that oftentimes were very endearing, which we don't see as often anymore. Meanwhile with Super Sons they’re hyperfixated on making him the edgy and stuck-up rich kid in order to emphasizes how innocent and pure-hearted Jon is in comparison to him. Now I don’t think this is necessarily done because they like Jon and hate Damian, but rather because they want an easy and cheap way to differentiate the two protagonists from each other (after all this is a kids comic, you don’t need to give them allure/depth, right?) and I guess you can see how this black-and-white portrayal of Damian, who already gets his fair share of hate by so many people for being a “brat,” can be a disservice to him.
The 4th issue might be a really petty reason, but it’s a huge pet peeve of mine. I personally have always loathed Damian with overly-spiky hair and I believe that Super Sons is a huge factor as to why people associate it with Damian so much. Before SS, spiky hair was never Damian’s signature hairstyle, in fact his hair was mostly down in his solo book R:SoB (which I much prefer) and when you look at every single comic that Damian and Jon has ever appeared in together, Damian is literally always drawn with that ridiculous spiky hair and like I said above, it’s mostly done because they think kids would be too dumb to differentiate the boy in mostly-red with the boy in mostly-blue and since obviously not whitewashing Damian so that readers will not mistake him with the white boy next to him is too much to ask for, nope, just give him a two-feet long quiff so that people know which one he is (it’s not like they have totally different costumes).
So like I said, I don’t think Super Sons is inherently bad for Damian, but sadly DC already decided on a standard formula for their stories and I’m simply not a fan of it at all, so if an animated Super Sons show is going to follow the comic's formula then I would rather it wouldn't be made in the first place.

Duke being the character only to show authors perspective on other characters but not doing anything with Duke himself.
Batfam constantly bugging Jason's apartment and invading his space despite him not wanting to interact with them and being vocal about that.
Bat-Mom Selina.
1) Duke being the character only to show authors perspective on other characters but not doing anything with Duke himself.
Again, guilty. In 96 messages, Duke technically is the main character, and it's his POV, but the story itself is about finding a random teen on the doorstep of the Manor, and this teen is a freshly resurrected JPT. I do tend to write Jason-centric stories even if I killed him off off-screen before the story even started.
Look. Is it a problem? Absolutely. There's a separate Tumblr someone created that counts how many days between the fics with Duke as the main character and my fic wouldn't have been on it. I see why that tumblr exists and why people are not okay with this trope in general, and I am a part of the problem.
But.
For my creative process, it would have really helped if Duke's family dynamics were as messed up as any other Batfam character that I like. Either that, or a copious amount of therapy that I still need to undergo to let go of that aspect of characters and write just. Stories. With plots. That don't include dissecting unhealthy family dynamics.
So, again, I don't like it, but I won't necessarily judge a writer for it because of glass houses and stones.
2) Batfam constantly bugging Jason's apartment and invading his space despite him not wanting to interact with them and being vocal about that.
Ohhh and Barbara having access to all his phone numbers and such. I know in Batfam, stalking is how they show their love - the fandom attitude is, at least. In comics, they're not actually that bad about invading each other's privacy. (An exception to that I remember is Ric being stalked, but not helped, by Batman. Though to be honest, I don't really think Bruce put that much attention into it; honestly, that felt like a lie he came up with not to seem like an asshole).
Personally, I am like. No. Please leave it in 2010s where it belongs.
It's not only Jason who's the victim of such treatment but basically every Batfam member. Jason is the worst of it, because mostly, he's the one who's on the outs of Batfam, and this is authors' way of Batfam forcing their way in, through his gruff shell of fake lone-wolviness. Does that make sense?
Please note that such fics are often written by Jason in Batfam fans, so it's not that people willfully disregard his right to privacy in their writing, it's just. The way they see Batfam getting through to him, I guess. Basically, not malicious but a failure of imagination.
Bold of them to assume Jason wouldn't clock any and all bugs Batfam could install, though.
3) Bat-Mom Selina.
No. NO. Nooooo. No.
I mean, does she even want kids? Does she need to adopt kids if her partner has them? I mean, the last one I guess - you kinda need to help your partner with their stuff when you tie the knot. It might be you even share legal responsibility for them? Idk. But that also is one of the reasons I don't think BatCat should work: if your partner wants kids and you don't, it's... Not going to work long-term. Or someone's gotta compromise.
Just recently, though, I've seen a post talking about how writing good mom!Selina vs bad mom!Talia is racist and misogynistic and I agree. I especially hate it if Selina is written as Damian's mom. Thank you but he has a mother already. I also blame Tom King for that.
I might let it slide if it's a Stray AU with Selina getting herself not really a kid but a sidekick for the life of crime - Dick, Tim or Jason. Though I would say, Steph being Stray would be far more superior, with Steph messing up Cluemaster's crimes by stealing whatever he wanted to steal first.
Whereas for Jason it would be better if he gets adopted by preboot Nocturna (a thief instead of a vampire rapist). Honestly, the vibe I got from seeing Robin!Jason and Catwoman interactions in comics is, he hates her guts basically. Or at the very least, he's not impressed by her, and she doesn't really care about him either.
With Dick and Tim getting adopted by Catwoman I honestly think it doesn't get deeper than an excuse for a catboy fetish so I'm not really into this trope with them at all.
Helena Wayne is also a thing that exists, but because it's very white picket fence of DC, I tend to pretend that she doesn't, in fact, exist, even in alternate timelines.

tagged by @astralhux -- thank you!
1. Favorite piece of clothing you own?
Do I have to pick just one??? Gosh, I really don't know. I really like any and all of my pleated mini skirts even though I don't wear them that often. They're just so cute. I guess my favorite piece of clothing at the moment is this dark gray long-sleeve bodysuit that buttons up the front. It basically just looks like a gray long-sleeve t-shirt but I like that it's a bodysuit because it looks like my shirt is tucked into my jeans, and also the shirt doesn't ride up. Plus it's just very soft and cozy and it keeps me warm!!
2. Your comfort food?
Right now it's macaroni and cheese! Specifically the "Annie's" brand that is shaped like lil bunnies... I only eat fun-shaped pasta. Life is too short!!
3. Favorite time of the year?
SUMMER!
4. Favorite song?
One of my all-time favorite songs is Bitter Sweet Symphony by The Verve. I never get tired of this song. It hits right every single time. It means so, so much to me.
5. Do you collect anything?
Not really! I save all of my movie tickets, and when I travel to a new country, I like to buy a magnet for my fridge and a sticker for my suitcase, but that's really it.
6. Favorite drink?
Lemonade! Especially strawberry or blueberry lemonade. But right now I'm loving these energy drinks called "Alani". Oh MAN, so refreshing. So good. They don't have that typical energy drink taste, which I actually really like. I've only tried a few flavors so far, but they're soooo good, even though I try not to drink energy drinks too often.
7. Favorite fanfic (if you are comfortable)?
I honestly don't know what prompted me to check out this fic, because I'd never read the pairing before and it's not one that interests me in the slightest. I think, like many fics that I end up clicking on, I was amazed by the amount of kudos/comments it had garnered -- and let me tell you, every single one of them was WELL deserved.
The pairing in question is John Blake/Bane from The Dark Knight Rises, which, again, I'd never read before and I'm convinced I wouldn't like it if I had to read it from any other author but her, but I swear to you, it is genuinely one of the best fics I have ever read in my life. I cried like a baby. It's like the fics you used to read when you were a kid/teen and you were just discovering fanfiction for the first time. I swear I read all 80k pretty much in one sitting. I devoured this story. It is absolutely harrowing at parts, but so, so gripping. Even if you're reading this now and thinking you don't like M/M pairings, I swear to you... you won't want to skip this one. If you're unconvinced, go check out the review I left (but also, maybe, don't do it until after the fact, because spoilers).
Stiffen the Sinews (Summon Up the Blood) by Whisky.
Please note: there are virtually zero tags listed for this story, but it is brutal, so please mind the author's notes and know that it may contain potentially triggering elements or themes. With that being said, it is, oddly enough, the most uplifting Batman story I've ever read.
So yeah. That's my favorite fic at present!
My other favorite fic is Chrysalis, gifted to me by the incredible NiniJune. So much to say about this one. Literally one of the greatest characterizations of the Joker I've ever seen. It's harrowing and mesmerizing. I cannot get enough. She holds nothing back when it comes to the Joker's POV -- which is exactly how it should be done.

Okay so Teen Titans Annual #2 just came out and ow I need to rant. First page is Damian and Alfred in the beginning to show how much they became close over time. Look they're playing chess. 🤧 (though I do admit I don't like how Damian treated Alfred like that in the past. Still it shows how close they were getting.)
Tumblr media
Then we get back to this. With Batman fianlly telling his son he cares. Just where was this when our boy needed to hear this a couple issues ago.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So Deathstroke comes. Fights happen and so on but back to father & son. Batman telling Robin he's gone to far and to come back before its to late. Now to tell the truth on the bottom I can't tell if it's Alfred with Damian/ Bruce.🤔 I don't know if they were trying to parallel how Alfred was always there for Bruce as a kid and now Bruce wants to do the same. But...
Tumblr media
Yeah it's to little to late. Damian finally gets to vent at least some of his frustration. How Bruce hasn't really given him a home. I mean yeah they live in a manison but it's really not a home you know. They aren't close anymore and the people Damian was close to are gone. Alfred and Dick are gone (Jon to but that's another topic). And why are they gone now.
Tumblr media
Yeah because of this 👇. Seriously did Bruce really think this wouldn't mess Damian more. Dick got shot in the head, Alfred dead. Not to mention this sadly helped reinforce Damian's thinking that criminals needs to die more. As it could've prevented all this from happening to them.
Tumblr media
Damian asking why his father won't fight back that got me. Damian poor baby excepting to beaten back for this which given the history of being near to death by family members.😣 (Which I guess I should be happy that Dc didn't make Batman beat up a kid.) Instead Batman is on his knees telling his son he loves him. While also admitting he failed him.
Tumblr media
Again though it's to late and pretty words about love isn't enough. Damian remembers what happened to Alfred. Damn our boy will have that memory to haunt him forever. (Even if Alfred does come back the memory still there. For both of them to feel they are responsible for the other death 😬.)
Tumblr media
Finally the part we all knew was coming and hoping wouldn't actually happened. Damian is no longer Robin. 😥😢
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I got to say I hate this but at least Damian got to leave on his terms (kind of, shouldn't of happened at all). Robin wasn't taken from him (the least Dc could do I guess), he got to leave it. To him he's finally free from everyone expections of him. Still this means he's all alone now.
Yet I don't why but I don't think it will be for long. With the fight with Deathstroke earlier I'm reminded of how Damian has the reverse problem of Batman. Bruce gets kids to mentor but Damian attracts villains to try and mentor him. And with future issues relating to Damian going to some villains 😓. Anyway please tell me what you guys think about what happened. I mostly focused on what occured with father and son.
What did you guys think about the other things that went down with Teen Titans. That was a whole other can of worm there that I did not want to get into. Side note at least Crush knew better then get into the fight between them.

fanfic writer 20 questions
tagged by @mythcas thank you dear! 💖
1) How many works do you have on AO3?
61!! oh man that's so absurd, I can't believe it's that many
2) What’s your total AO3 word count?
545,502 wow
3) How many fandoms have you written for and what are they?
Okay listen,,,, a lot.
the main fandoms:
Spider-man, TASM specifically, DCU, Batman, The Untamed, Merlin, Daredevil, The Umbrella Academy, Harry Potter, Stranger Things, Naruto
the one hit wonders (aka fandoms I so far wrote ONE fic for):
Venom, The Witcher, Kingsman + Baby Driver (it was a crossover so I'm counting it as one), BNHA, The Dragon Prince (just the one, no more), B99 (just the one, no more), ATLA, K.C. Undercover, Agent Carter (though that one doesn't really count), Pitch Perfect, Marvel/MCU misc
4) What are your top five fics by kudos?
Devil's Food Cake - by a landslide victory of 3,258 kudos! I guess people really just like nonbinary Peter Parker hanging with the Daredevil group. Plus the baking of course
With Magic Soaking My Spine - my absolute pride and joy, probably my favorite fic I've written honestly. 1,539 kudos.
We Could Get Better ('Cause We're Not Dead Yet) - 1,536 so this and WMSMS are very close
City Too Busy To Haste - 1,076 kudos
With A Big Black Horse And A Cherry Tree - the sequel to WMSMS too makes the top five! 🥺❤️ 884 kudos
5) Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I do! Sometimes I'm very slow to do so (lack of spoons + too busy) but I try my best. It's just my way of enjoying some wholesome human connection 🥰❤️
6) What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?
Ooh. I'm going to have to go with Then I heard your heart beating; you were in the darkness too, so I stayed in the darkness with you I mainly write happy endings however I've been told that the ending of this fic is open to very devastating interpretations
7) Do you write crossovers?
I do! City Too Busy To Haste is a Baby Driver + Kingsman crossover. I'm not sure if things like Daredevil + Spiderman count as a crossover but I've done a few Marvel mini crossovers like that. FF + Spidey, Deadpool + Spidey.
8) Have you ever received hate on a fic?
Not yet and hopefully never🤞Closest I've gotten is someone who told me that they would have bookmarked the story but wouldn't since it was 'obviously abandoned' - I assume they didn't subscribe either and never realized it updated.
9) Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
No. Tried that for a brief bit as a coping mechanism when I was a kid. Never retried it after I switched to healthier coping mechanisms, but since I'm sex-repulsed 50% of the time I probably wouldn't vibe with it nowadays
10) Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Eh. Not really but kind of? Once someone left me a comment letting me know that someone had posted something that looked very similar to my story. I skimmed the fic. It had some direct lines taken from my story and a very similar plot premise. But it wasn't at all exact and had been also written somewhat differently by them, so I was like "well I wish they hadn't taken exact lines but I think they're just inspired and went about it the wrong way"
Never contacted them. Eventually what happened is that because I'm a slow author, their story caught up to mine and then updated before mine. And their plot was then different from mine - either because mine hadn't been posted yet or because they honestly didn't realize how similar the stories were in the first place. I think of it as someone wanted to "remix" my story and didn't intend to steal it. But to my knowledge that is the only time (which I don't even count) and hopefully it stays that way
11) Have you ever had a fic translated?
Not yet! But I would be thrilled if someone did
12) Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Yes! The Devil Drinks Coffee with 01nm, who has also beta'd a few of my other stories for me - I think around 3 - and sometimes they'll add lines while betaing. But even though it was great cowriting a fic with them, I can't imagine doing it with someone else. (Oh also just remembered that we cowrote a fic that's no longer posted actually.)
I really enjoy co-writing as a concept because I'm not very good at finishing stories or connecting scenes. But in practice? Probably wouldn't team up with anyone besides 01nm. It'd definitely have to be with someone I really trusted because it's a very vulnerable thing to do, which I hadn't realized until I'd done it. But bc my partner was so great, the boundaries were really good and so we established a really good method between ourselves so that we were both comfortable in the process of it.
13) What’s your all-time favourite ship?
Very hard to say. It depends, I suppose, on what mood I'm in. But honestly? Probably Merlin/Gwaine. I wish I wrote more of that because I really love it. It's just.... tender.
I'm realizing I don't write a lot of one ship, per se, since I'm so spread out between different fandoms. Also I've been focusing recently on writing non-romantic relationships
I just checked my relationship tags and lo and behold Merlin/Gwaine is tied for first (3 fics) with Peter Parker/Harry Osborn (3 fics)
14) What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?
Posted? Goodnight, Sleep Well, I'll Most Likely Kill You In The Morning because it just has this massive plot that I should have written down a lot more of but - once again - foolishly thought I'd written enough down that I'd remember. I really love writing canon AU's but I don't often do it because of this! I can't keep track of timelines very well!!
Unposted? The DC outsider POV fic of a fashion designer who invents the material of the Batman suit without realizing it at first for Brucie Wayne. I want to write it so badly. It just isn't happening. Also the Stranger Things Robin/Nancy enemies-to-lovers fic. Yeah that one probably isn't happening either. Also the Eddie Brock with chronic pain fic; I didn't even start that actually it's not even partial draft yet just a concept.
15) What are your writing strengths?
Dialogue. I've been told that I can capture characterization well through dialogue - though I think that works better for me with fandoms where I can actually see the pacing of dialogue. (Actors in movies/shows vs characters in novels)
Self indulgence. Sometimes I wonder "is this too self indulgent?" and even though I will be anxious about it, I will stick to it and include it. Sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse - depends on who you ask. But everyone who enjoyed the lengthy nail polish scene in Chamomile, No Coconut or the plethora of tender Lancelot in With Magic Soaking My Spine - that was me being super self indulgent.
I feel like I can say unique plot ideas as a strength. This sounds like bragging but honestly my friends have asked me "how did you even come up with that?" and it is usually based off one extremely niche specific concept for one scene (1!) that spiraled out of control into a fic.
16) What are your writing weaknesses?
Oh baby it's definitely plot. Yes I am aware of the irony since I just listed plot as a strength. But I am so bad at writing out traditional stories (beginning, middle, end) mostly because I write different scenes that I can't seem to connect. I've been trying really hard to improve on this. I know that fanfic doesn't need to have a traditional format but I'd like to be able to have that option tbh! I'm just bad at it!
Especially since my plot organization is so terrible. I think I have the timeline figured out and then I go to work on my fic and my outline makes ZERO sense
Grammar too honestly. Also I have a lot of typos and try my best to self beta through my stories but like.... yeah typos.
Cheesy plots and characters. I enjoy sappy things and self indulgence. Sometimes that makes it cross the line into too cheesy instead of just regular cheesy.
Pacing. I'd also say pacing is something I struggle with. That's something that probably ties in with not being good at organizing + writing out plot. Probably doesn't help that I'll often spend a long time on scenes I personally like.
17) What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in another language?
I've seen it done well and done very badly. I don't think I've ever done written it though. Probably won't either unless it is somehow critical to the plot to do so?? idk why that'd be though
18) What was the first fandom you ever wrote for?
,,,,,it was Twilight.
19) What’s your favourite fic you’ve written?
I can't help but to love With Magic Soaking My Spine. It was one of those things that I'd had the idea (Because of the "Strength, Courage, Magic" bridge, Arthur and Gwaine think that the other one is Magic and not Merlin, while Merlin is caught up in the chaotic misunderstanding) for a long time but didn't think I'd ever actually write it. And when I finished it, I was initially disappointed with it bc it was a lot more serious than I had ever imagined it, and so I was worried that made it not funny. And I wanted it to be a comedy.
But after some time (and really kind commenters) I realized that the things that made it serious - the emphasis on tender friendship and Merlin's loneliness - didn't take away from the humor of the story. And when I reread it, I laugh even so I worried over nothing. Yeah it's probably my favorite story I've written. It's silly and also extremely self indulgent in tender moments of friendship.
To Want (For Nothing) is probably one of my favorites as well because I had envisioned a very specific feeling and I feel like I managed to convey that feeling. It's probably one of my prettiest prose wise, or at least I think so.
Also it's hard to choose a favorite of them but I am really fond of my DC fics. I rotate between being the most proud of certain fics. Right now my fave of the bunch is Take a breath and let the rest come easy
20) Who do you tag?
💖💖💖 @captainkirkk buddy captain pal, if you want to do so
💙💙💙 @romanticism-is-maudlinism I know you're busy right now though so do not at all feel pressured to do it, dear
❤️❤️❤️ @kadansten ily babe

Going in blind: Watching season 4 for the first time. Random thoughts.
Tumblr media
I never said anything about it before but I love Shadow Weaver's DCAU Batman eyes. They're so expressive.
Episode 1: Okay...I wasn't expecting Catra to do that. I mean, it makes sense. If she has leverage over Hordak then she's basically in charge of the Horde and that's what she's wanted (or at least believes she wants) since episode 1. It's an aspect that made her a good antagonist, that she's not blind to the evil of the Horde, she just doesn't care as long as she herself is secure. Which naturally begs the question, when the rebellion and the princesses are crushed, when the Horde is on top, when Adora is dead, when Catra finally has everything she's ever wanted...will she actually finally be happy? Somehow, I have my doubts.
I definitely feel for Glimmer in this. When you go through as big a loss as she did you need to be able to feel and vent if you're ever going to get through it. It doesn't have to be right away but everyone doing everything in their power to avoid the topic entirely can make you feel like you're going crazy. It'a especially bad for her since it unintentionally makes it feel like everyone is acting like it doesn't matter that Angela is gone when it clearly means everything to Glimmer.
Episode 2: I actually had a potted cactus plant once. Accidentally forgot about it and left it outside for an entire winter. Once the snow was gone the cactus looked like it had melted.
I kind of want to see what an interaction between Double Trouble and Clayface from the Harley Quinn animated series would look like. I'm guess Catra was just testing how good Double Trouble was as a doppelganger because it doesn't seem like she did anything while Adora was being distracted, though I suppose that could be a reveal in a later episode.
Not much to say except that I love how buff Huntara is while still clearly being a woman. Like, women can have a variety of different body types, as this series and Steven Universe show, and Huntara's build isn't just, like, Bow's body with lipstick and ponytail and the animators calling it a day. No, she looks like a freakin' jacked adult woman.
Episode 3: I didn't figure out the Flutterina = Double Trouble twist until a minute before it was revealed, so good job there. Before that I was wondering if Flutterina was some fan's original character where they won some contest where their OC got to be in the show for an episode. She was giving off some weird self-insert vibes. That twist made it all work though. It's honestly not a bad plan. Shapeshifters haven't really been a thing in the series before now so there's no reason to suspect it. Even if they did they'd probably be expecting it by way of magic or technology, while Double Trouble's seems to be a natural ability.
I like that even though Bow is definitely the goofier one of the trio he is still consistently shown as competent. That's never in question. He was very heroic and reassuring to the villagers this episode. I get why those kids idolize him so much.
Catra's having guilt over what she did with the portal and to Entrapta and her response is basically to just double-down. She doesn't know any other way to be. Not going to lie, I am kind of hoping we get another moment in the show where Adora just completely overwhelms Catra with the sheer power of She-Ra. I'm not saying like brutalize her or anything but just something where Catra is made to realize just how powerful Adora is and that she could just destroy Catra if she had a mind to do so.
Episode 4: Well, I was saying I wanted Adora to do it but I guess I don't mind Glimmer being the one to get some good shots in on Catra. Like I predicted, Shadow Weaver's moving in to become her teacher like she was with her father. Honestly I like that that was more Adora's problem than Glimmer using her as bait, which she seemed to get over pretty quick. Yeah, it was kind of a heartless thing to do but it was an understandable tactic and she clearly outright told Adora that she did it and why afterwards, which at least means she's still being honest.
It occurs to me that Glimmer and Catra may be the ones running parallel right now. Both are basically leading their respective sides of the war. They both have lost someone very important to them. And both are trusting someone they probably shouldn't. Both even have outfits that've been updated in the intro. The difference is Glimmer's just trying to deal with a bad situation while Catra's is entirely self-inflicted.
Minor thing but I like Glimmer's new outfit this season. I'm sure this is the intention but it makes her look older and more mature. A little more muscular in some shots too.
Episode 5: Heart of Etheria project. No idea what that is but assumedly whoever's a part of it doesn't like Light Hope and Mara being friends. Sounds like it's very much interested in She-Ra being just a warrior, and perhaps a tool, for the greater good. It does make me wonder though how much Light Hope remember from when she was rebooting. Even if she deleted the Mara memory she could potentially still have the memory of her and Adora watching the Mara memory, as well as Adora asking to be her friend.
Episode 6: Yep. Scorpia; definitely favorite supporting character. There is something kind of funny about her whole "Scorpions are loyal" line when you remember the story about the Frog and the Scorpion, where it stings the frog despite it meaning death for itself as well simply because that is its nature. But finally we're having someone go save Entrapta, and I can only assume at some point Scorpia's going to access the power of the Black Garnet.
The parallels between Catra and Hordak are definitely at their max here with that speech of hers to him. She's basically trying to convince herself that she doesn't need anyone, the timing of which is appropriate since she just drove away Scorpia and now truly doesn't have anyone. Not that I blame Scorpia, obviously. Like Adora before her, however good you believe someone can be and that you can help them, at some point you just have to cut the toxic people out of your life. You have the right to be happy too.
And man, Bow is just the best. He saw something was wrong between Adora and Glimmer and defused the situation like (snap) that, pushing them to talk like any sane person would.
Episode 7: I'm sure it is just because I've seen way too many TV shows and movies (both animated and live action) that don't do it but it is just such a relief to have a show where the characters just TALK and LISTEN to each other. It doesn't solve all their issues but they're at least not being stupid and freakin' petty. It helps the drama feel a lot less forced and contrived.
Episode 8: A little bit of amusement in Bow thinking at first that Glimmer and Adora didn't even notice he was gone despite them coming to his rescue very shortly afterwards, given Catra is only now realizing Scorpia has left and assumedly she did so a while ago. Bow and Sea Hawk hadn't been gone for that long so it's not unreasonable Glimmer and Adora wouldn't be worried about their absence (Bow was literally talking about "me time" when they last saw him), while Catra is only noticing Scorpia's absence now and it was because she wanted something. Like Scorpia said, she's a bad friend.
Kind of ironic given that a lot of Catra's issues are the direct result of Shadow Weaver giving her very little love growing up but it does seem this tough love is probably what'll get through to Catra the best. She might finally stop making bad decisions and lashing out if she's forced to live with the consequences of them, like Adora told her last season.
Glimmer gets a bit of slack from me since she suffered through a huge loss, that being her mother, and then was immediately thrown into being queen right after. It'd be hard for anyone to be 100% on their game and well-adjusted in a situation like that, and I buy that she was on some level resentful of Adora for coming back instead of her mother, even if unintentionally so. What definitely helps is that Glimmer very clearly and immediately regretted what she said to Adora. Like Catra she's lashing out but unlike Catra Glimmer recognizes some of the damage she's doing and knows, at least in this case, that she went too far.
Episode 9: Now that I can see the design in color I definitely prefer Mara's She-Ra with pants to Adora's She-Ra with shorts. Honestly, while the differences are pretty minor, I do think Mara's She-Ra design is overall a lot better than Adora's. Sharper shoulder guards. Bigger cape (especially the cape, I love capes). I don't know, there's just a lot that clicks with it and I wouldn't mind Adora getting a similar outfit later.
Madam Razz definitely had a Yoda feel this episode. I was very much expecting her to start wacking Mara with a stick over the sugar like Yoda did with R2. Though while that was Yoda acting crazy, for Razz it's because she experiences time out of order, and I don't think I've ever seen that concept taken to this extent, or at least done this way before. There are characters like River Song from Doctor Who, Professor Paradox from Ben 10, or even the Reverse-Flash who interact with other characters in time out of order but those characters are still on a linear path from their own perspective, even when travelling through time. Razz is just bouncing around her own timeline, seemingly not even any real reason or cause to it like Subaru from Re:Zero. Clearly she's not just remembering things oddly because her talk about things of the present are heard by people in the past and have an effect. I wonder if maybe the reason why is because Razz was at ground zero of Mara's actions and this is a side-effect of pulling Etheria away from the rest of the universe.
Bringing more Star Wars into this, it basically sounds like the Heart of Etheria project has turned Etheria into a magic Starkiller Base; storing power that'll be unleashed to destroy whole planets. And jeez, I think this was the first time I really felt creeped out by Light Hope when she was talking to Mara.
I'm looking forward to seeing what it means that the First Ones only made the sword and that Etheria made She-Ra. If that's the case, why is only the sword able to bring out the She-Ra form? Is it like MCU Thor's hammer and the weapon was just meant to help him control the power he already had? Or is what we think is She-Ra not actually She-Ra and that form that Adora and Mara take is just a stand-in for the real thing?
Episode 10: It didn't even occur to me until now but Double Trouble's capture is another blow to Catra's circle of "friends" too. They were at least able to make her laugh. One less person for her to talk to and just...really just distract her from her thoughts.
It's a good dilemma this episode presents about what to do with the Heart of Etheria. The safest and probably best option is to just dismantle it, like Adora and Bow want, since it could easily lead to the destruction of the entire planet if it goes off. Not the mention there's so little they know about it and what it was intended for and the one person who can potentially tell them, Light Hope, they were warned not to trust. But it's not hard to understand where Glimmer is coming from in wanting to use that power to fight the Horde. They're already losing the war and now she knows Hordak Prime and his FAR more powerful forces are on the way. Tapping into the Heart is a huge risk but she's not seeing any other paths for the rebels to win. It's a really good dilemma, with good arguments presented from both sides, and I buy this widening the schism between Adora and Glimmer.
Episode 11: I have mixed feelings on King Micah still being alive. On the one hand there's a lot of good potential interactions we can now have with him, primarily between Glimmer and Shadow Weaver, and he is a fun character. But on the other I can't help but wonder if this kind of lessens the impact of what Angela gave up to overcome the false reality. Part of what made it so emotional was that she had to accept the person she loved was dead and not coming back...except now we see that he wasn't dead and now he is coming back. Yeah, their family lost out on years together and that does still carry some emotional weight but I was already also half-expecting Angela to come back later in the series because she's stuck between dimensions, meaning there's a chance she could still be alive. If both Glimmer's parents come back then that really feels like it takes a lot of weight out of her story. But I guess we'll see what happens.
Also, why did the Horde exile him to Beast Island? Why not just kill him?!
Episode 12: So the Horde exiles Micah to Beast Island instead of killing him. The First Ones protect their secrets by sending their bad tech to Beast Island. Does no one know how to just destroy things in this world?
Ohhh, I am so looking forward to next episode. While it's debatable whether Glimmer should be going through with her plan she is at least being smart with how she's going about it. Double Trouble was being paid by Catra to work for the Horde, not out of any sense of loyalty. Glimmer has the resources of Bright Moon at her disposal so it's reasonable she could pay them more to switch sides. Double Trouble was very good at sabotaging even a group as tight-nit as the heroes, so Hordak and Catra are probably easy pickings with all their issues.
Episode 13: ....WELL THAT AIN'T GOOD!
I'll admit, I had a little bit of an unintended laugh. After all we've heard about Horde Prime, like this shadowy all-powerful monster, I wasn't expecting the fabulous flowing dreadlocks and smoothness. Credit where it's due, man has charisma and charm, which goes a long way in helping your big evil world conqueror not be a very flat character, because it's doubtful he's going to have the same kind of sympathetic motivation as Hordak or complexity as Catra to keep him elevated.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Double Trouble kicking at Catra while she's down. Adora and Scorpia were honest but they never wanted to hurt Catra. Not so much with Double Trouble and they just shove reality into her face. Everyone leaves Catra because of Catra. She's the common factor. It's her fault and no one else's. Again, I don't know for certain if Adora and Catra get together at the end (Catra would have a LOT to make amends for regardless) but Double Trouble was definitely implying Catra had feelings for her with the way they put Catra's hand on "Adora's" cheek while talking about how she left her.
I like that we see Glimmer's plan actually working at first. The princesses get a massive power boost and decimate the Horde forces. But the minute it starts going wrong she immediately admits Adora was right and she tries to stop the energy flow. I imagine having her there with Catra was intentional by the writers. Despite some parallels, Glimmer can actually accept her failures and work to try and fix things. Unlike Catra, she didn't blame Adora for things going wrong.
So the sword allows the First Ones to control She-Ra and the energy she'd be absorbing from the planet. Assumedly that means there are at least some parts to She-Ra that have nothing to do with the First Ones and thus maybe Adora can still use some of those powers without the sword.
Season 4 verdict: Yeah, the show keeps getting better, though I will admit last season's finale had me more emotional, but that's a bit of an unfair comparison given everything that happened in that finale vs. this one. This is definitely the series hitting its darkest hour, where it feels like EVERYONE lost. Not just the rebels but the Horde as well. The sword and Light Hope are gone and She-Ra (for now) along with them. Glimmer and Catra are basically prisoners. Hordak's probably going to have his personality stripped away. The Fright Zone is in ruins. The only one who's gained anything is Prime.
Really looking forward to what the final season has in store, especially since there seems to be the implication that Catra just saved Glimmer's life.

If this Bruce doesn't adopt Tim I will! But I'm kinda scared for Tim I mean he's either gonna end up with Buce or the titans at some point, im afraid that something terrible is gonna happen his family and then titans/bruce takes him in? That boy loves batman and robin so much like even his family seeing the news knew how much it would upset him although I will say that for the brain that kid has he makes some pretty stupid decisions, hes driving around GOTHAM plastered in the bat-symbol that's not a good idea! the amount of lunatics that roam free in Gotham (and possibly have escaped from arkham) and hate the bat and hes driving around with the bat symbol on him KID be careful!
Some kind of Anti-fear toxin does seem more accurate cuz he's clearly taking something to not be afraid. Maybe it's something he found in Gotham and decided to try it and got addicted so he's using that lab place to try recreate it? and maybe he can't recreate it perfectly cuz in the crowbarring scene he seemed kinda anxious about his surroundings and he'd just taken that inhaler thing to overcome fear so I dunno?? Or maybe he went to arkham to see Crane for some reason and Crane has orchestrated the whole thing and told him about the drug but then wouldn't Crane have to know everyone's identity then? Dude I dunno I need more episodes even tho the low quality glitchyness is painful lol
There's probably an abundance of rooms to choose from at Wayne manor yet Jason takes Dicks old room and keeps the flying graysons posters up! I like to think that he does view dick as an older brother and just took his room to kind of have a connection to him and that he admires him hence the graysons posters being left up, yooo dick calling him his brother! I really want a nice family reunion with dick jason and bruce 💕
Babs was too mean to bruce when she went off like I get where she's coming from but yo lady his son just died dial it down like a notch yikes but also babs being like 'i wonder how long it'll take for bruce to replace jason and dick is all 'what no the last thing bruce is gonna do is rope another kid into this mess'. Cut to scene of Bruces potential robin folder 😅 but I also like that dick was trying to be considerate and compose himself for bruce but once he found out that bruce is idiot enough to pull another kid into this, that that's when he got mad and bruce so brokenly begging dick to come back and be robin 😢😢😢
I know the show is constantly trying to push bruce out/sideline him cuz it's a titans show not a bruce wayne show and I know they're going for a different portrayal of bruce which I'm not complaining about I do like this version of bruce (more than I thought actually) and this universe but I feel like they could have gave more cracks you know, I like that they showed him trying to avoid the reality of jasons death and just not stopping not even for a second and just immediately jump into another case and that breakdown verge where he's begging dick to be robin and then when he finally I guess let's the weight of jasons loss sit on him to the point where he whacks in jokers head with a crowbar just like he killed jason (he could have killed joker so many other ways like a less violent bullet to the head but oh no brucey crowbars him to death!!)
There's a lot of character stuff that i do like but that scene where he's in the cave on his knees scrubbing his sons blood out of the suit he died in, the suit that he only ever wore because of batman. 😢 I feel like they could have had him crack there and let out a gut wrenching scream and then just continue on doing what he was doing as if nothing happened and dick walking in on that should have had more of a reaction!? like he could have stopped in his tracks at the sight of his brothers blood all over his father and bruce screaming, dick could have like took a step back almost like he's gonna run but forces himself to stay there, because who wouldn't want to run from that and no matter how much horrible things you've dealt with before sometimes your brain does just take over against your will and makes you react, the rest of the scene just could have played out the way it did. Literally one ounce more emotion is all I wanted.
No one really emotionally cracked at jasons death. I get that it just happened and that people put walls up and denial can be such a prominent thing when a loved one dies but it couldn't have been that difficult to put in little mannerisms now and again to show that everyone is deeply hurt but holding it in. Honestly gar seemed more hurt to me than dick did. But I do like that dick reacted in detective mode and started trying to figure things out from jasons side so at least there's that.
This redhood is defo not an anti hero he has well and truly landslided into villian territory and I dunno how that's gonna be reconciled? they better not kill him off! and they better not just straight up keep redhood/jason as a full on villian! but if they do get through to jason and bring him back a little how the heck is that little man gonna deal with what he did to Hank?? I feel like they had a bond you know and for all Hanks talk about putting Jason down I really don't think that Hank would actually have killed him even if it came down to Hanks life vs Jasons I think Hank would rather die than kill Jason (but that's heavily biased cuz in my mind jason is my son and I freaking love hank sooo) but Hank to me puts on a hard front like 'yeah I'll get in your face I'll come at you b*tch' but internally he's like 'yeah I'll come at you to help you' 😅 like internally he defo has a lot of soft spots though that's not to say he'd be like this for someone like the joker or scarecrow or whatever guys like that he'd be like no screw you you die or go to arkham like byeee
Nevermind how jason is gonna come back from this though HOW IN THE ACTUAL SH*T is dawn gonna come back from this!!?!!
Random side note here but imagine Jasons first time in the batcave he would be so excited and trying to mess with everything and being like ohh what's that do and pressing random buttons and bruce having a hernia trying to get jason to stop before he accidentally blows the cave up 😅 also he has probably been caught several times trying to 'borrow' the batmobile, I can just picture him trying to sneak down the halls of the manor without the floor creaking and making it all the way into the cave and doing a victory dance cuz he didn't get caught and he hops on into the batmobile in his pj's and let's out a scream cuz alfred is sitting in the freakin passenger seat waiting for him and then they just hang out in the batmobile alfred had the good foresight to bring a flask of tea books and a blanket for jason
Speaking of Alfred I think it would have been more angsty and hurtful if Alfred died shortly after Jason and after a few days Jason claws his way out his grave and the first thing he sees is Alfreds headstone and that's how he finds out Alfred died : (((
This is so long girl I'm sorry I know it doesn't seem like it but I did restrain myself 😅 one more thing before I go maybe this Dick is the absolute worst mf and the reason babs feels betrayed by him and is so upset with him could be that he left her (or cheated on her) with Dawn cuz of that weird flashback thingy in the other season where dick dawn was a thing I dunno I hope not though that would be ughhh
Oh crap, you right about probably something bad will happen to Tim for Bruce or Titans to take him in, I was gonna say he could just demand to be in their lives to save Bruce/Dick like in the comics but he also has kinda shitty parents normally and these people seem cool so really it could go either direction, but like it’s Titans so it doesn’t look good lol. Also, I wonder if it’s gonna be Dick who is basically gonna adopt him this time since we already had a huge track record in just 2 seasons lmao. But I know right, true I like how his parents knew immediately how much the news would effect him 😭 I hope he goes down the making himself robin and forcing himself in Dick and Bruce’s life xD I love that route. Lmao, the kid is all book smart, very little street smart when it doesn’t have to do with outsmarting someone XD
I was also rewatching and that gas he takes def has to be some anti fear toxin cause he mentions fear so many times and flash backed to his near death fall, which he felt was probably holding him and back and thus had to prove himself and adds to whatever is influencing him. But ohhh he did seem pretty dang anxious at the carnival grounds, that’s a really interesting theory but recreating something he found hmm, I can see that.
Apparently according to a YouTube who got to see the first 5 episodes, we find out what his deal is a lot more in episode 5, so one more week hopefully
Brooo trueee, I couldn’t believe jason took dick’s room and like didn’t even change anything. Like Jason looks or at least use to look up to Dick SO much, like in his first episode in the first season, he went on quite a lot about how much he had always wanted to meet him and how much he looked up to him, which is probably also fueling his red hood rage, being hurt by your idol and brother like he did in S2 must have really just killed the boy. But yes omg, there freaking better be a dang family reunion scene like, after so much angst we deserve that 😭
And yesss, I loved seeing how mature Dick is getting and just how much he is growing as a character, the fact he was so calm and considerate with Bruce at first really shows that compared to s1 Dick, only breaking when Bruce tried to get more kids involved. That scene by Brenton was sooo well acted omg, the way he yelled that he doesn’t want to robin again, heartbreaking man. And Bruce begging like that omg
Yeah, this version of Bruce is def so different than any Bruce we have seen on screen before, like def the most emotionally constipated, and that’s saying something xD But I like how they are taking a risk, it also helps Dick’s character more and give him more of an arc, as he seems to be taking on Bruce’s normal role with Jason and red hood. Bro, you are so right omg, like the fact Bruce could have killed the joker in any way and he does it with the dang crowbar. It really shows how broken he really was and why the man shouldn’t depressing any and every damn feeling and emotion lol.
Omg, I love how you have the exact details of what you wanted to happen in that one Bruce and Dick scene 😂👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 bro if you dont already you should totally write fanfics cause that was so detailed, I love it
Yeah, I do wish someone cracked (other than Bruce lmao) a bit more, but I do think each character reacted in character though, like it is very Dick(at least this version of Dick, other versions may break down tbh) to put everything into solving the case and figuring out what was up, that’s more this version’s way of caring than just breaking down, like he rarely ever has broken down completely. I think dawn could have been a little more emotional about the death (tho she has enough coming for her lmao). Connor didn’t know Jason that well so it makes sense he would just be sad. Gar seemed pretty sad and in character about it, maybe could have had a bit more, same with Kori, tho she showed it by being almost angry and fiercely protective of everyone else, so I think that makes sense for her. It would have been interesting to see how Rachel and Rose would have reacted though (where did rose go btw?! She would so have a reaction to Jason’s death). But yeah, i wish there was more resolution and break downs for Jason, but also it may have just not felt real since they weren’t there? But I agree
You think? Idk, I think they could def still make him an anti hero towards the end, especially if it’s crane behind the whole thing. Cause if they don’t they are gonna have to go down the gosh awful overused villain gets redeemed while he dies/only to die right freaking after , and I will be so freaking livid if they do that omg. Like they better freaking not. But true, he would be broken by what he did to Hank, oh yikes. But I can see him then that leading to the anti hero path, like he would never go back to be on the titans cause he would feel too guilty, thus giving more of a reason for the anti hero life. But I know, I loved Jason and Hank’s love hate relationship 😭😭😭😭 You know Hank secretly loved the kid and probably saw himself in him.
Yikes poor dawn, you right. Like I have no idea how she is gonna be now like wow.
OMG GIRL, You are on a hc angst train today!!!! That scenario of Alfred dying right after jason and Jason climbing out to see Alfred’s?! Heartbreaking!
But I can’t believe they killed Alfred off so casually tho😭
Omg I swear if they freaking show Dick having cheated on Babs I will be so freaking pissed omg, he better have not! Im hoping they had a more high school romance thing/grew up together then got together type of thing
And omg don’t apologize I LOVED IT and reading your asks!!! I feel ya too!

PROMPT:
Tumblr media
Bruce Wayne & Jason Todd, Jason Todd & Catherine Todd
Warning: implied/referenced child abuse.
Jason Todd makes no attempt to eat his burger or even take a sip from his soda, despite the loud rumbling of his stomach. He clutches the bag tightly, bringing it closer to his chest when he sees Bruce staring, like he's afraid Bruce would take offense and demand his food back.
Bruce Wayne does not understand him. His threadbare clothes do nothing to hide the skin stretched over bones. He can see the outline of the boy's ribs through his red hoodie. He is clearly very hungry and going by the way he can't seem to take his eyes off the bag of fast food or even how he keeps taking lungs full of the aroma wafting from it, like if he breathes deep enough, he will be filled. He would bet his entire fortune that this kid has not had a good meal in weeks, or even months. Even one as unhealthy as greasy fast food.
The child is clearly starving. Yet, he has not made any attempt to help himself.
Bruce does not have any experience with poverty or homelessness. Even at the lowest point of his life, he had access to basic human needs. Still, he knows enough about human behavior to know that Jason's behavior right now is not the norm. When he gives a clearly starving person food, they usually devour it immediately.
There are only a few reasons why he would not want to eat the food he had enthusiastically accepted from Bruce. Either he plans to use the food as payment for his safety, in which case, Bruce needs to start looking into gangs exploiting kids, or he has someone, most likely a younger sibling in his care. Considering the fact that Bruce had caught him trying to jack off the fourth tire of the batmobile, after successfully getting away with the other three, Bruce is not sure what is most likely to be the case.
"You going to turn me in now?" Jason asks him, once Bruce's burger is out of sight.
"I promised you I wouldn't," Bruce tells him as earnestly as he can manage.
It doesn't convince the child at all.
"Yeah, right," he scoffs. "That's what you all say."
"Don't you think it would be counter-productive to have you arrested for trying to survive? I'm trying to make Gotham safe for kids like you, Jason. Not put you in jail. I might take you somewhere safe, so you don't have to keep living on the streets, but--"
"I'm not on the streets," Jason cuts in defensively. The fear and worry in his expression is clear now. "I live with my mom and we're fine. If you're not going to arrest me, then I'll be on my way."
A mom. Bruce can't decide if it's a euphemism for Boss. He has seen some awful things since becoming Batman. He also knows some parents take advantage of their kids and force them into crimes as a way to 'earn their keep'.
Jason is most likely taking the food to this person, if he's not eating it, and Batman needs to separate them if the child is being exploited.
The child doesn't wait for Bruce's response before he starts his trek back to the Narrows.
Making a snap decision, Bruce calls out to him.
"Common, I'll drop you off wherever you want," he says, knowing Jason would never let Batman drop him off at home. The child is too suspicious, and rightfully so.
Jason stops in his tracks, but he makes no attempt to accept Bruce's offer.
"It will be morning before you make it all the way across town," Bruce points out. "That's <i>if</i> you don't get attacked for the food."
With that, Jason agrees to let Bruce give him a ride.
Even though he was quiet for the first couple of minutes, Bruce could see the wheels turning in the boy's head. Jason has a very expressive face that tells Bruce he is gearing up to say something, as he takes in the interior of the batmobile.
Jason doesn't take as long as Bruce thought he would.
"You're probably rich, huh?" Jason observes.
Oh God, Bruce hopes this kid is not about to proposition him.
"Not really." Bruce's answer is terse to discourage further probing.
"So it's true what they say?" Jason continues, either missing Bruce's reluctance to continue with this conversation or ignoring it. "That you're fucking Bruce Wayne for money?"
If Batman didn't have such a tight rein on his microexpressions, he would have choked. "That's not language suitable for a child."
Jason turns in his seat so that Bruce doesn't miss the elaborate eye-roll.
"I guess you've had to pay informants, huh?" Jason asks. "You know, like in the stories, where a dude is rewarded for giving the cops valuable information for solving a crime. You do that?"
"Sometimes." Bruce is invested in where Jason is going with his questioning. "Why? Do you have information to sell?"
"Depends on your going rate," the boy sasses.
"And how much do you want?" Bruce asks.
"I read in the papers that the FBI pay up to a hundred grand," Jason shrugs. "Shouldn't be too much for you to match, seeing as you have a rich boyfriend."
"One hundred thousand dollars?" The only reason Bruce doesn't laugh is because he doesn't want Jason to think he's being made fun of.
That, and the possibility that Jason may be trying to get free from his abuser, by having Batman go after them.
"You really think your information is worth that much?" Bruce asks.
"You tell me, Batman." Jason shrugs again. "It was worth enough to cause a war between Penguin and Scarecrow. Enough to make my dad disappear, not that that's a bad thing."
Bruce doesn't think he's supposed to hear the last part, as Jason mutters it under his breath. But the cowl picks up the words clearly.
A criminal and/or abusive mother and mob affiliated but now absentee father. Bruce is debating calling Social Services.
He's also aware of the war between Penguin and Scarecrow. A few months ago, there were rumors of a collaboration between the two factions to take over Gotham, before accusations of betrayal.
If it wasn't for the lives being lost, Bruce would be grateful for their misunderstanding.
Still, a hundred thousand dollars is a lot of money for someone like Jason, and is most likely to draw the wrong attention.
"I'll give you five thousand," Bruce tells him.
"Out of a hundred? Are you really that cheap?" Jason snorts. "You roll around in a ride like this and can't even pay for information? Okay, I'll do you a favor and take seventy."
"Ten," Bruce counters.
"All you rich assholes like taking advantage of poor people," Jason grumbles angrily. When Bruce doesn't budge, he relents. "Fifty."
"Fifteen."
"Fifty," Jason repeats firmly.
"Alright, twenty five thousand dollars and that's my final offer."
"Deal!" Jason agrees immediately.
Bruce watches him spit on his palm before extending it to Bruce for a handshake.
"Come on," he urges when Bruce makes no attempt to shake his hand. "We gotta shake on it to seal the deal."
In the face of that logical argument, Bruce spits in his own hand before clasping it to Jason's in a handshake.
If Jason believes he has information that can help, then twenty five thousand dollars is not too much to pay someone who clearly needs it. The cash in the batmobile isn't up to the amount, but it should be enough to buy the time he would need to get the rest from the manor.
"Alright." He follows Jason's directions on where to park. "What's this information?"
"Wait here," Jason instructs him, undoing the seat belt. "I'll bring it to you."
Bruce gives Jason a minute head-start before he takes to the rooftops, to trail the young boy.
After a few twists and turns, he comes to a stop in front of a dilapidated building. A woman rushes out and pulls Jason into a hug.
"I've been looking all over for you!" she scolds. "Where were you? Chris said some man took you. Is that true?"
She is rail thin, her threadbare clothes hanging off her body, but she sounds genuinely distressed as she checks him for injuries.
"I'm fine, Mom," Jason says in comfort before shoving the food at her. "Look, I got us food and I found a way to get away from the men looking for dad."
The woman -- Jason's mom -- shoves the food back at him, before pulling him into an apartment with the door barely hanging on a hinge.
It's hard not to notice the woman's limp, or the way Jason supports some of her weight as they go.
Bruce takes a second to process everything.
Judging by the environment and what he's seen and heard, Jason isn't being abused, but he's in even more danger.
Whether he plans to pay off his father's debt with the money or not, Bruce knows he has to get mother and son away from this place before they end up as victims of mob violence. Whether Jason really does have information to sell or not.
With that, Bruce hops down to the street from his perch on the roof.
Despite how mindful he is of the door, the moment his fist to connects with the door, it falls off the hinge holding it in place, exposing Jason and his mother having either a very late dinner or a very early breakfast in their one bedroom apartment.
They both jump at the sight of him, and once realization dawns on them, their reactions are wildly different.
Jason's mom cowers with fear, shrinking into herself while attempting to wrap herself around her son, but Jason won't have it. He is livid.
"What the fuck, Batman!" the child hisses angrily. "I told you to wait for me."
"Jason, stop," his mother pleads, pulling Jason behind her.
The boy is unmoved. His mother's frailness is no match for his strength.
"You broke our door! Why the fuck would you do that?"
Despite his obvious anger, they're both careful not to raise their voices. Bruce imagines that getting a visit from Batman isn't a good thing in this neighborhood.
"Calm down," Bruce growls.
Both mother and son freeze where they stand.
"We didn't do nothing wrong, Batman," the lady tells him in a trembling voice. "If you're looking for my husband, we don't know where he is."
"I'm here for Jason," Bruce tells her, registering her distress just before he turns to Jason. "You were taking too long," he lies. "I wanted to make sure you were fine."
This seems to placate the boy a bit, but not his mother, who demands to know what the hell is going on.
Bruce watches silently as Jason explains his plans to his mother.
Apparently, his plan is to sell the information his father stole from Scarecrow to Batman, in exchange for money that will get them out of Crime Alley.
His mom doesn't look thrilled, but she lets Jason climb into the ceiling to retrieve what her husband had hidden there.
"You won't arrest him when you have what you want, will you?" she asks with a fierce look.
Bruce can't help but admire that about her. Not a lot of people have that look about them when Batman is staring them down.
Must be where Jason gets his spunk.
"Jason is a good boy," she continues. "He did a bad thing, but it was for a good reason. His heart is in the right place, I swear."
"Mrs Todd--" Bruce starts, but she interrupts him.
"Catherine."
"Catherine," he repeats. "I don't plan to arrest your son," he continues as calmly as Batman's voice will let him. "We made a deal and I intend to uphold my end."
"So you're just going to hand Jason twenty-five grand?" Catherine asks suspiciously. "Just like that?"
"Yes," he tells her simply. "But I don't have twenty-five thousand dollars in cash right now. I can give you a thousand tonight, and a safe place for the night. Seeing as I broke your door. Tomorrow, you will get the rest of the money and I will call someone to fix your door."
As he talks, he pulls out the bills from his utility belt and hands it to her.
Of course, he has no plans of letting them return here. But if he has learned anything from being Batman, it's that, sometimes, all some people have left is their pride.
Poor people hate being treated as charity.
Siccing Alfred on her would be more productive. All he has to do is make sure they meet. Dick would probably appreciate having someone young in the manor, too.
"And you swear Jason will be safe?" Catherine stresses, eyes flickering between the money and Bruce's face.
"I swear," he vows solemnly. That much, he can promise.
A few minutes later, Jason returns from the ceiling, an envelope clutched in his hand.
"Jason," Catherine calls softly, pulling him into her arms before he can give Bruce the envelope. "Baby, there's something I have to tell you about…"

OTP tag game.
Tagged by @captainjowl. You know for sure than I'm struggling to pick only 10 & fit them in here. But hell, that’s fun, thank you <3
Tumblr media
Rules: Choose 10 OTPs BEFORE reading the questions, and then get to answering
1) Harry James Potter & Sirius Orion Black
2) Daniel Le Domas & Grace (Ready or Not 2019)
3) Samuel & Nathan Drake (Uncharted 4)
4) Corvo Attano & The Outsider (+probably Emily Kaldwin; Dishonored series)
5) Steve Grant Rogers & Bucky Buchanan Barnes (Marvel)
6) Tony Edward Stark & Peter Benjamin Parker (Marvel)
7) Handsome Jack & Rhys (Borderlands video game series)
8) Damon Salvatore & Elena Gilbert (TVD Books & a tv show)
9) Batman & Joker (in every universe, really)
10) Adam Jensen x Francis Pritchard (Deus Ex video game series)
1. Do you remember the episode/scene/chapter that you first started shipping 6?
I believe it didn't hit me before Spider-Man: Homecoming. Civil War was about Steve & Bucky for me, but when I saw that growing up Peter with Tony, their dynamic, chemistry. Tom & Robert are really just like that.
2. Have you ever read a fanfic about 2?
Lmao. I've read like 50% of the tag on AO3, I wrote my own & started a few wips on them. They are amazing. Plus, with that shitty canon? We didn't get enough of them & they deserved better, so it's only logical to save yourself with fanfiction.
3. Has a picture of 4 ever been your screen saver/profile picture/tumblr screen saver?
I was living with The Outsider icon on my twitter & tumblr. That one is still my Google profile picture I believe. Don't remember about having an icon with the two of them. Also had The Outsider as my lockscreen on my smartphone for a while.
4. If 7 were to suddenly break up today, what would your reaction be?
Funny how it fits canon, lmao. Rhys literally tried to erase Jack's AI in TFTBL, so I guess another day on Pandora, nothing new. They torture each other, they kiss each other, they kill other people in the process. It'll be fiiine.
5. Why is 1 so important?
I love them since the first time I met them, which was much more than 10 years ago, I don't even remember when. At some point they were the reason I was waking up & forcing myself to eat just to read more fanfiction & feel something. Even if I was drowning in pain (I was extremely depressed), it was still something. I read every fic I could find at that time. The depression that Harry went through, all these feelings, his love for Sirius. I was living through it, I could relate.
I'm currently drowning in these two again, though in a much healthier & happier state. I see their flaws & I know as much as I can. I see them differently as an adult. They saved me, they keep being my number one, I still consider making a tattoo of Padfoot/Sirius or of both Harry & Sirius together. I have many headcanons, ideas, I write fics about them. They are everything, you see? They were my choice when there was nothing, no one. They are HOME.
6. Is 9 a funny ship or a serious ship?
Both. There goes the dynamic of Jack & Rhys: torture, fighting, flirting, a lot of trauma. I'd definitely say that they are wild and comical sometimes, but they are definitely serious. With the Asylum, the mental health issues. There is so much more to it, the complexity of their relationship. The struggle of loving who you probably shouldn't (but hey, when does it work like that?) Thinking about Tettlate's Batman, about Batman: Europa & how Joker was: "You must be crazy, putting me in charge of the plan, letting me decide. Okay, well..."
Nah, they are entertaining, but this is a serious ship.
7. Out of all the ships listed, which ship has the most chemistry?
Are you kidding me? They are all the definition of CHEMISTRY. I'd say 5, but then go 2, 6, 7, 8. Come on. I'm not choosing. Most of they are WILD.
9. How many times have you read/watched the 10’s fandom?
The fandom itself? Idk. I found one of my favourite artists through this fandom. If it's about the characters themselves, I played the first game with the DLC from start to beginning, looking around every corner. Spent more than 60 hours in there. Watched a second game (my laptop can't run the game) and the DLC (obviously), since Francis is in the DLC & not in the main game. I have a tag for them on tumblr, I read fanfiction, I tried to write my own. I still follow Elias & want a third game. Elias liked my tweets about Adam and Jensen being an actual couple a few times. I'd say I interacted with all of this a lot? Still do, actually.
10. Which ship has lasted the longest?
5. Best friends since childhood, fought & died for each other, still found their way back to each other. "It would break your Captain's heart, to see what they did to you." That only the MENTION of Steve can pull Bucky out of this brain washing(ed?) state, distract him in the middle of a fight. When Steve died in the comics because of Sharon & Tony sent Natasha to take Steve's shield from Bucky because even Tony knew how much Steve means to Bucky. And Bucky was like: "Oh, I see what he did. Not happening!" Fought Natasha (that is his ex in the comics) & kept going for Steve's sake.
Well, you see the point, I can go on and on.
11. How many times, if ever, has 6 broken up?
They're not actually canon so none? They had a few fights: In Civil war (the comics), in Homecoming (the movie).  That only means that they’ve got history & love each other.
12. If the world was suddenly thrust into a zombie apocalypse, which ship would make it out alive, 2 or 8?
As fierce Grace is, they wouldn't stand a chance against Damon & Elena. Those two had to deal with worst thing than brainless stupid zombies. On the other hand, if there were no alive humans to drink their blood... It's either an animal diet that Damon hates so much or I don't know? Still, they're faster & more powerful. Their bodies have advantage of healing the wounds as well.
13. Did 7 ever have to hide their relationship for any reason?
From some people, yeah. Don't tell Athena, don't tell Vaughn, don't tell Fiona. Though Rhys wasn't very subtle about it & Jack just doesn't give a fuck. You will probably end up dead if you disagree or bore him, or if you're useless.
"I can take you to the top, but you gotta know where the top is" & Rhys doesn't tell anybody until Jack makes him the President for like whole 20 minutes lol.
Fiona & Sasha: "This can't be happening." Sure it can, darling.
14. Is 4 still together?
I have a headcanon about The Outsider finding Emily & Corvo after Billie frees him from the Void. He doesn't have anybody & they are his only friends aside from a potential friendship with Billie. And if we don't consider TOTO dlc, they definitely are! The Outsider visits them both when they sleep & takes them to the void sometimes. How could he not?
15. Is 10 canon?
Not really but also sort of? Let's say that they really care about each other in canon, despite Adam pushing Francis away because of his trauma & fear that Megan caused him. :/
16. If all 10 ships were put into a couple’s Hunger Games, which couple would win?
Can you imagine wizards fighting extremely powerful vampires? Superheroes with venom in their bodies that make them super strong with people that made a deal with the Devil himself (hi Le Bail)? 5000 y.o. God and his lover that share his powers and an augmented human protecting his tired IT guy? Combine mental health issues to that, Jack and Rhys with Batman and Joker. Corvo & The Outsider would probably slay them all as Corvo and Emily did in both games with entire islands, though it will still be a slaughter anyway.
17. Has anybody ever tried to sabotage 5’s ship?
All the fucking time, lmaooo. I’m not even talking about it.
18. Which ship would you defend to the death and beyond?
I feel like I already did with Steve & Bucky after many Marvel movies (we're not even mentioning Endg*me, I fucking died & was dead for full 4-5 months).
19. Do you spend hours a day going through 3’s tumblr page?
I used to do that a few years back, but not anymore. There is not much content since the trilogy is finished.
20. If an evil witch descended from the sky and told you that you had to pick one of the ten ships to break up forever or else she’d break them all forever, which ship would you sink?
1 already went through it & fandom lives, so I'd say maybe 7? Rhys will find a way to bring Jack back & they are both so wild. It’s what happened in canon anyway. Jack kidnapped Lilith & forced her to do Angel's job, so I'd like to see that witch try at first. Jack is an immortal bastard. <3
Now that I think about it, Corvo would also deal with her in seconds as she waits to curse them.
As a conclusion: no one breaks up forever, we're killing the witch.
I tag: @ianmillkovichgallagher & @aledbr
Whoever else wants to join the game, please do.

To Take Them To Aggie's House...
Along The Way, Benny Warns Them To Be Careful Around Halloweentown As He Tells Them About A Kid Named Luke, Who Got A Nose Job And A Couple Of Warts Removed With The Help Of Some Shadow Creature...
Arriving At Aggie's, They Find That The Place Is Locked, Marnie Tries Using Her Powers But They Don't Work, Luckily, However, The Lock Comes Off When Sophie Wishes The Lock To Be Turned Into A Frog...
With The Kids Knocking On Aggie's Door, Marnie Tells Her That She's There To Start Her Training And To Fight The Darkness In Halloweentown, With Aggie Saying Okay As Long As They Get Back To The Mortal World Before Midnight...
But Despite Marnie Pointing Out That That's Only 2 Hours From Now, Aggie Points Out That Time Works Differently There With 2 Hours Being Either 2 Days Or 2 Weeks...
Looking Into Aggie's Viewing Globe...I Mean, Witches Glass, She Shows Them What The Evil Apparently Looks Like And Reveals That The Only Way To Stop It Is With A Talisman That Merlin Used To End The Dark Ages In The Mortal World Years Ago...
Aggie Attempts To Reactivate It With Instant Witches Brew But The Attempt Fails Which Leaves Her Only One Choice And That's For Her And The Kids To Gather The Ingredients For The Brew And Make It Herself...

Meanwhile In The Mortal World, Gwen Discovers The Kids Are Gone While Aggie Relays To The Kids, A Brief History Of Halloweentown While Showing Them Around Before Running Into A Friend, Harriet, Who Has Obviously Been Transformed By The Darkness...
Telling Kalabar About It, He Apologizes For Not Taking Her Seriously And Believes She Has Uncovered Something Very Serious But Being Unsure Of The Details Himself He Tells Her To Leave It Alone For 2 Days While The Kids Are Here...
As Kalabar Leaves, Aggie Finds Sophie And Dylan But Realizes That Marnie Has Discovered The Brooms. Deciding To Get Her One Since It's A Witch's Rite Of Passage, They End Up Running Into Luks Who Flirts With Marnie Only To Get Seriously Shot Down By Her..
Deciding To Fly The Broom Out, Grandmother And Granddaughter Have Fun On Marnie's New Broom, When They Come Down They're Confronted By Gwen
And From There, It's Nothing But Bickering Which Sounds Like The Nostalgia Critic Doing An Impression Of Chris O'Donnell From Batman And Robin For A Few Minutes ...
youtube
(Start At 10:02, End At 10:09)
Either Way, Marnie Is Pissed That Gwen Wouldn't Let Her Train As A Witch As She Leaves With Gwen, Dylan And Sophie To Get A Bus Home...
Unfortunately, They're Unable To Get A Bus Home, So, They Go To See Kalabar Who Reminisces With Gwen For A Second Before Taking Off Saying That He Has To Deal With An Emergency..

With The Creature Demanding The Talisman, Aggie Refuses Which Leads Him To Start Blasting At Aggie...
But When Marnie, Gwen And The Kids Enter, The Creature Blasts Both Gwen And Aggie Freezing Them...
youtube
With Aggie Telling Marnie And The Kids To Go, They Decide To Try To Save Them By Continuing Aggie's Mission By Getting The Ingredients For Merlin's Talisman...
It's Here We Get A Small Montage Of The Kids Getting The 3 Ingredients Around Halloweentown, Like They Get A Hair Of A Werewolf From A Werewolf Barber, They Get Sweat Of A Ghost From A Ghost In A Sauna And They Get Fang Of A Vampire From A Vampire At At A Dentist's Office...
After Ditching A Monstrous Benny, Marnie Creates The Witch's Brew For The Talisman But Sadly She Doesn't Remember The Spell, Luckily, Sophie Does And When They Both Say It Together, The Talisman Lights Up...
Going To The Theatre, They Try Using It On Gwen And Aggie, But It Doesn't Work On Them, This Leads Marnie To Remember That Aggie Said They Had To Install It But As To Where? Well, As Marnie Puts It, Where Do You Put A Candle On Halloween?
But Before She Can Get To The Pumpkin In Town Square, Marnie Is Confronted By Luke, Who Warns Her That The Shadow Creature Is Waiting For Her And That He Knows That She'll Attempt To Save Her Grandmother...
Despite Not Trusting Him, Luke Tells Her To Get Down As The Sky Turns Dark And The Shadow Creature Appears On City Hall Where He's Revealed To Be Kalabar, Who Wishes To Use The Creatures Of Halloweentown To, You Guessed It, Take Over The Mortal World...
youtube
But When He Spots Marnie, He Freezes Her Only To Discover That He Froze Luke And That Marnie Is At The Pumpkin...
Unfortunately Though He Does Hit Marnie And Freeze Her Before She Can Install The Talisman But Luckily The Talisman Falls In And Land Where It's Supposed To...
With Gwen And Aggie Returned To Normal, They Confront Kalabar Who Reveals That He Did This Because Gwen Chose A Human Over Him...
Tumblr media
Pulling The Talisman Out Of The Pumpkin, The Cromwells (Including Dylan) Unite Their Powers Together To Get The Talisman Back And Defeat Kalabar, As He Sounds Like Darth Vader When He's Defeated...
Tumblr media
With Gwen Apologizing To Marnie, She Goes To Check On Luke Afterwards As He's Revealed To Be A Goblin Who Only Did What He Did Because Kalabar Made Him Handsome, Either Way Though Him And Marnie Make Up...
I Would Say Become Love Interests But He Doesn't Appear In Either The 3rd Or The 4th One...
Finally Managing To Get A Special Bus Back To The Mortal Realm, Gwen Invites Aggie To Stay With Them In The Mortal World To Help Marnie With Her Training And Also Because She's Good With The Kids...
Accepting Gwen's Offer, They Get On The Bus And Go Back To The Mortal Realm As Our Movie Ends...
And That's Halloweentown And...I Love This Movie...
It Seriously Is One Of The Best DCOMS Ever Done For The Disney Channel, The Story Is Pretty Good, The Cast Fits Well In Their Roles, The Sets (May Not Look As Creative As The Nightmare Before Christmas But They, For The Most Part) Are Pretty Good, The Make Ups Are Pretty Interesting...
Now I Know There Are People Who Believe The Acting Is Hokey, The Story Is Stupid, The Town Isn't As Creative As The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Effects Are Stupid, The Monsters Look Fake And The Bad Guy Is A Mix Of The Grim Reaper And Jim Carrey's Grinch...
But To Those People I Simply Say To Turn Off Your Brains And To Think Like A Child For Five Seconds And You Might Find You Like This Movie...
But There's Another Reason That I Like This Movie And That's Because My Grandmother Loved This Movie Because Debbie Reynolds Was In It And I Used To Watch All The Movies With Her Almost Every Halloween Until Her Death...
And It's Because Of That And Because It's A Great Movie That I Definitely Say To See It...
Till Next Time, This Is Duke, Signing Off...

Duke Reviews Xtra: Geppetto
Hello, I'm Andrew Leduc And Welcome To Duke Reviews Xtra Where We Are Continuing Our Duke Reviews Look At Disney...
youtube
Where If You've Been On The Duke Reviews Tumblr, You'll Know That I Just Reviewed Pinocchio And Since I Can't Review Everything Disney On The Duke Reviews Or Duke Reviews TV Tumblr (Though On Duke Reviews I'm Sure Going To Try)...
I May As Well Review The Stuff I Can't Review On Either One Of Those Tumblr's Here So On Today's Show We're Reviewing Geppetto...
When This Tv Film Came Out I Was Excited For It Because Unlike Other People Who Thought "Who Gives A Crap About Geppetto?" And Didn't Watch It I Actually Wondered If There Was More To The Character Than Just Kindly Wood-Carver Who Makes Toys And Wants A Kid...
Did I Get It? Let's Find Out As We Watch Geppetto...
Our Story Starts In The Village Of Villagio...
Which Despite How It Sounds Is Not A Sex Act...
Where The Children In Town Are Very Excited As The Toy Maker, Geppetto (Played By Drew Carey)...
And Let's Talk About This Really Quick So I Can Continue Talking About The Movie, I Don't Mind Drew Carey As Geppetto...
Sure, He's Not Old, Sure, He's Not Elderly, Sure, He Doesn't Pull Off An Italian Accent And Yes, He Is Miscast But He Does Have A Good Singing Voice And Carey Is Trying His Hardest With The Role So I Got To Give Him Credit...
Anyway, As I Was Saying The Children Of The Town Are Very Excited As The Toy Maker Geppetto Has Finished Making His New Toys That He Made After Gathering Wood Over The Summer...
Which Leads To The First Song Of The Movie, Toys...
youtube
(Start At 0:42)
And For A Beginning Song It's Good But It Doesn't Really Pull You Into The Story Like A Musical Should But Drew Carey's Verses In It Are Pretty Good So I Guess I Can't Complain...
After The Last Of The Children Go Home, Geppetto Works On A Puppet Named Pinocchio Before Going Into Our Next Song Called An Empty Heart As He Gets Ready For Bed..,
youtube
Sorry, There Was No Clip For It...
And Despite People Complaining That Because Drew Carey's Performance Has No Emotion The Song Has No Emotion, I Find That To Be Bullshit, Carey Does Well With The Song And I Honestly Like It...
But All Is Not Quiet In Geppetto's Workshop As The Blue Fairy (Played By Princess Atta) Drops By To Grant Geppetto's Wish Of Making Pinocchio A Real Boy...
However, Having Alot Of Questions, (And Why Wouldn't He) Pinocchio Keeps Geppetto Up All Night...
But A New Day Lead To Our Next Song Called And Son, As Geppetto Looks To The Future With Pinocchio Only For Problems To Happen Along The Way...
youtube
(Start At 0:31)
And While The Song Is Cute And There's Nothing Inherently Bad About It, It's Just Not My Favorite Song In The Entire Musical...
So, By The 4th Day, Geppetto Has Lost All Patience And Sees Sending Pinocchio To School As His Last Hope, But Even That Goes Wrong When A Misunderstanding Of Something Geppetto Said Leads Pinocchio To Get Into A Fight With A Young Kelvin Timeline Chekov...
And Yes, I Know I Shouldn't Make Fun Of Anton Yelchin Because Of How He Died But It Was Too Easy To Make A Star Trek Reference...
And Speaking Of Star Trek, After Geppetto And Pinocchio Leave The School, They Run Into Stromboli (Played By Data) Who Takes An Interest In Pinocchio And Wants Him In His Show Despite Geppetto Saying No...
Returning Home, Geppetto Is Mad At Pinocchio For Getting Into The Fight At School Starting A Fight Which Fractures Father And Son And Leads Geppetto To Go Find The Blue Fairy As He Believes Pinocchio's Defective...
Eventually Finding The Blue Fairy She Basically Tells Him "Hey, You Wanted A Kid, It's Your Problem Pal" As She Sings The Next Song Just Because It's Magic"...
youtube
(Start At 1:32)
And While I Like The Choreography In The Song, It's Again Not One Of My Favorites...
Returning Home, Geppetto Finds That Pinocchio Has Runaway From Home As Left A Note Saying That He's Joining Stromboli's Puppet Show...
Thinking That Maybe It's For The Best, Geppetto Goes Down To Stromboli's Show Where We Get Pinocchio Singing I've Got No Strings...
But After The Show We Discover That Stromboli's Not A Great Father Figure As He Keeps Pinocchio Locked In A Box....
Tumblr media
Hiding Pinocchio As Geppetto Goes Backstage To Give Him Some Of Pinocchio's Things, Stromboli Tells Geppetto That It Was Just A One Night Show Before Pinocchio Left For The Big City To Seek Fame And Fortune...
Upset That Stromboli Did This, Stromboli Points Geppetto In The Direction Pinocchio "Went" Before He Goes Backstage Again To Get Pinocchio Only To Discover That He's Escaped His Cage And Has Boarded A Carriage For Pleasure Island...
Angry Over Losing His Meal Ticket, Stromboli Packs Up To Go After Him Which Leads Into Our Next Song, Bravo, Stromboli...
youtube
(Start At 0:43)
And This Is Honestly One Of My Favorite Songs In This Musical...
It's Like Brent Spiner Took All The Pent Up Wackiness He Had Inside After Playing A Robot on Star Trek The Next Generation And The Movies And Let All Out In This One Song And It Works...
Meanwhile, Geppetto Runs Into The Blue Fairy Who After The First Reprise Of Just Because It's Magic Decides "This Idiot Wants Magic, Fine, I'll Give Him Magic To Show Him What I'm Trying To Tell Him"
So, Using Her Magic, The Blue Fairy Introduces Geppetto To The Great Lazardo (Played By Wayne Brady) Who Is A Bad Magician But Is Only A Magician Because It's What His Father Wanted Him To ...
Sound Familiar?
But Seeing That Lazardo Is Great At Making Toys, Geppetto Suggests That He Become A Toy Maker Which Leads To A Reprise Of Toys Before Geppetto Continues His Journey Deciding That "Ok, Pinocchio Doesn't Have To Become A Toy Maker"...
Finding His Way To The Town Of Idyllia, Where We Get A When You Wish Upon A Star Reference...
Yeah, We Kind Of Heard It Earlier Too When Pinocchio Was Brought To Life But I Don't Really Count That
Before Geppetto Meets Professor Buonragazzo (Played By Paul From Boston Legal R.I.P. René Auberjonois) And His Son Who Have Made A Machine That Makes Perfect Children That Obey And Do Everything They're Parents Tell Them To Do...
Again, Sound Familiar?
Which Leads Into Our Next Song, Satisfaction Guaranteed...
youtube
And...It's Okay..
While I Do Like The Song And I Like The Choreography In It, It Just Raises Too Many Questions As Val Kilmer Batman Would Put It...
Freaked Out By What He Sees, Geppetto Realizes That He Doesn't Want A Child THAT Perfect...
Running Into The Blue Fairy Again...
Ok, She's Quickly Turning Into The Cheshire Cat Of This Movie...
We Get Another Reprise Of Just Because It's Magic Where She Tells Geppetto That Pinocchio Is Headed For Pleasure Island And That Not Only Did Stromboli Screw Him But He's After Pinocchio Too...
Transitioning Into Pleasure Island We Get The Best Song In This Musical Sung By Usher...
youtube
(Start At 0:08)
In A Scene That Some People Say Is Lazy But I Say Is Just Saving Time And Money As It Is A Television Movie, Through Pictures We See Geppetto Go After The Donkey Pinocchio On A Boat Only To Be Attacked By Monstro...
Seeing His Father In Danger, The Donkey Pinocchio Jumps Overboard Only For Him And Geppetto To Get Eaten By The Whale...
Finding Pinocchio Who Has Been Turned Into Himself Again, Citing That The Donkey Magic Must Have Washed Off...
Despite Me, Seeing It As Pinocchio's Sacrifice To Save His Father Allowed Him To Become Himself Again...
Apologizing With A Reprise Of And Son, Father And Son Make Up Which Leads Them To Find A Way Out By Deciding To Tickle Monstro's Uvula With Pinocchio's Nose Which He Lies To Make Grow So Monstro Can Throw Them Up...
And All I Can Say About This Is That Tony Goldmark Has A Dirty Mind...And If You've Seen His Review On This With Emily Clark You'll Know Why...
Returning To Their Home In Villagio, Geppetto And Pinocchio Are Confronted By Stromboli, Who Has Come To Take Pinocchio From Geppetto As He Has A Contact With Him That's Iron Clad...
Which Leads Us Into The Final Song, Since I Gave My Heart Away And It's Very Touching...
youtube
(Start At 0:23, End At 6:47)
So, That's Geppetto And...It's A Mixed Bag...
While The Beginning Of The Movie Isn't That Great It Makes Up For It In Both The Middle And The End, And Yes, While Drew Carey Is A Bit Miscast In This, He Still Isn't That Bad Of A Singer But The People That Steal This Movie Is Brent Spiner And Usher As They Both Have 2 Of The Best Songs In This...
However, If There's Anyone That's Really Bad In This Then It's Julia Louis Dreyfuss, With The Way She's Talking I Can Barely Understand What She's Saying At Times Also I Got To Give Credit To Stephen Schwartz Who Wrote The Songs As Some Of Them Are Pretty Good...
All I Can Really Say Is Don't Believe The Haters And See This Movie, Just Skip The Very Beginning...
Till Next Time, This Is Duke, Signing Off...
