Master list
Synopsis: in a world where alphas, betas, and omegas live along side modern humans as second class citizens, you've fallen through the cracks of a society that wants to take everything wonderful from you. Luckily a timely encounter with the boys just might save your life.
Chapter summary: You think you can take care of yourself, but you'd be wrong. There's an alpha more than willing to step in to do the job.
Warnings: that evil little voice in your head, Yoongi pushing your boundaries to save your damn life, but does that mean he can't enjoy it a little?
Tumblr media
You could hear the pack move around the house. The sounds of pots and pans and laughter floated into your room just as easily as their scents did. The unfamiliarity of it made your inner voice whine. Not the unfamiliarity of them. Their scents had already become lodged in your brain. You were sure you'd be able to smell them weeks from now, just by memory. You'd think of that beta every time you washed your sheets, if you ever owned a bed again.
Should have asked the beta to stay.
Why on earth would he want to stay with you?
No, the combination of such joy that could be known to the senses even a room away, even to a stranger, was something that you couldn't have imagined. It brought to mind no memories, for you had never known something like that.
They forgot you were here. Otherwise how could they be so happy? No one has ever been happy with your presence.
Your previous pack never sounded like that. They never laughed, not happily. They only ever bickered and yelled. And if they laughed it was only at one another's expense, especially yours. This pack smelled like laughter. Their scents were bubbly and bright as they moved around the downstairs just beyond the walls that enclosed you, protecting their joy from your bitter, poisonous presence. You laid and listened, your apple scent rotting more and more, so that no one would confuse you for being part of them, especially not yourself.
Their bliss seemed to carry on for hours, although your perception of time was tenuous. It seemed hours later when Hoseok finally came to your room again. He knocked gently before letting himself in.
"Good morning, pup. I brought you something to eat. You must be starving." He set down a plate on the bedside table before looking down at you. "I thought you could take a bath and I could change your sheets," he added, gesturing with the towel draped over his arm.
"I'm fine," you grumbled, rolling over to avoid his gaze. You were vaguely aware of the physical ache of hunger in your empty stomach, but it merely ranked with the other urges you refused to indulge. Hunger, just another animal instinct you must overcome by sheer force of will.
"You're a wreck," he chuckled.
"Just leave me alone."
Hoseok sighed. "I know you're upset, and you probably feel like shit, but you'll feel a lot better when you've had a bath and something to eat," he pushed, his tone letting you know that he was barely holding onto his patience.
"I don't need you to take care of me," you snarled, turning back to face him. You took in the other omega and softened. His dark chocolate eyes were heavy, but you couldn't tell if the pinched set of his lips was sadness or annoyance. His throat was covered in deep purple bruises, a particularly large one placed at the curve of his shoulder to his neck. Your eyebrows furrowed. "Did they do that to you?"
"What?" Confusion did not displace annoyance in his voice. You lightly touched your fingertips to your own throat. "Oh, that," he laughed airily, as if it didn't matter, but a bit of pink dusted his cheeks. "They got a little carried away. You've got them all riled up."
You frowned. "I'm sorry they hurt you because of me."
"What? No. Believe me, they've done worse," he chuckled. But his voice wavered as you curled in on yourself. "They just get a little pushy and possessive sometimes."
"I know how alphas are." Hoseok cocked his head at your declaration. "The bastards only want to breed you."
Hoseok bristled. "I don't know what kind of alphas you've had but mine are good men. They just can't help themselves sometimes."
You've heard all the excuses before, made plenty of them yourself. You looked up at him with wide eyes and kept your voice low so the alphas outside wouldn't hear you. "You don't have to put up with it, you know? You can leave. It's not easy, living like this. But it's better than being used by them."
Hoseok wrinkled his nose at you. "I'd never leave my pack." The clear disgust in his tone, aimed at you, turned your stomach.
Just like Jimin, you knew he'd never understand. Maybe they were right. Maybe it wasn't the pack that was wrong. Maybe packs were good, and it was only you that was wrong. So wrong. A sweet little omega like Hoseok who knew the right things to do and always took care of everyone, even a useless little wretch like you, who wouldn't want him? Who wouldn't treat him well? For him, an alpha could be everything they were supposed to be. Not you. Worthless omega.
You rolled onto your side, away from Hoseok and the vicious voice in your head. He hovered for a moment, seemingly unsure of himself. Then he walked to the end of the bed and picked up the blanket from the floor where you had banished it after Jungkook left last night. With a flourish, he fluffed it out over your curled form, only for you to kick it off you and fling it into the corner of the room.
"Get out!" You snapped at him. "Leave and don't come back. I'll take care of myself." You knew you couldn't leave. Jimin probably wouldn't let you even if you tried. But you didn't have to be around Hoseok. And if you pissed him off with your petulence, all the better. He could just leave you to rot.
"Y/N–"
"Hobi," a gentle voice called from the hallway. "I think it's best if you give her some space."
Tumblr media
Hoseok had never met an omega like you. He'd never met anyone like you. Someone who didn't accept comfort or company, much less seek it out. Someone whose moods could turn on a dime. Someone who didn't nest and wouldn't eat! You were an enigma to him.
Hoseok had grown up in a large and well connected pack, with multiple alphas and omegas and plenty of children. His parents had taught him that while an alpha's role was to provide and protect, an omega's role was to ensure the health and harmony of the pack. His own omega might have implied that an omega was more necessary to the pack than an alpha, but that was just between them. What they emphasized above all else was that the pack meant power and protection, and for Hoseok having a good pack of his very own became a sole ambition.
It wasn't very hard to achieve either. He has known Jin since they were both in grade school. Their families were of similar status, higher than most Lykos ever reached, both of them descending from early diplomats in Lykos-Sapiens relations who reaped the benefits several generations down the line. Jin's family boasted political leaders while Hobi's had their hands in business, but both the alpha and omega had been born near the tail end of rather large families. As a result, their ambitions didn't have to reach quite so high as the others. There's only so much spotlight after all, and Seokjin and Hoseok had found each other in the shadows of rooms full of much more important people.
Jin had loved Hobi's sharp tongue, while he admired the alpha's integrity. They had the same expectations from life, which largely consisted of a comfortable home and each other's company. So they married when they were barely eighteen and twenty years old and started a life together.
They were content for several years until Jungkook came along and contentedness gave way to a feeling of completion. An alpha, a beta, and an omega. A perfect little pack. Hoseok had never wanted a pack quite as large as the one he came from and he thought the three of them would be plenty until they decided to have pups. He thought if he did have a larger pack then certainly he would have at least one other omega to help out, but his boys only ever seemed to bring home alphas, at least until Jimin. After that, things had settled until another omega was nothing more than a secret wish that he kept to himself, only expressed in moments of frustration as an off-hand comment. His alphas were more than enough, he assured them, especially Tae and Jimin who were particularly afraid of becoming a burden.
And now an omega without a pack had fallen right into his lap, but it was you and everything about you was wrong. It wasn't your fault, the others had been extremely clear about that. But he knew very little about Sapiens, if he were being completely honest. He'd not spent a lot of time around them nor had any close friends who were sap. For him, their bigotry and cruelty was merely an idea with which he had no experience. He'd heard of it, but never seen it first hand. He'd gone to a private school for Lykos. He'd moved from his family pack's house to an apartment with Jin, and he had never encountered the likes of you. Even Yoongi and Jimin, troubled as their families were, had at least one parent to teach them about who they were. You were an apple trying your hardest to be a peach and seeking not to even know how impossible that was.
Tumblr media
Your rejection had been difficult for all of the pack. Jungkook and Yoongi went to the gym on Sunday afternoon to escape the house for a few hours. Jimin took Taehyung to the art store for supplies and for dinner because it had been too long since they'd spent time alone together. Namjoon, for better or worse, had papers to grade, so he spent most of the day at the kitchen table with scent blockers in his nose so he could focus. Jin searched the internet for the pack's dream house and tried to show his mate his best finds, which the omega normally would have actively participated in. But instead, Hobi stewed.
Come night time, Jungkook was in his proper place between Hobi and Tae, and it was Yoongi's turn to work a night shift. Jimin waited on the couch for him, eager to avoid another accident, and the two went up to join their packmates in the early hours of the morning.
By 9 am, only Hoseok, Yoongi and Taehyung were left in the house, and the latter two were sleeping the morning away. It was difficult, but the omega managed to respect your request that he leave you be. With the small exception that he left snacks and water outside of your door. But you never opened up to take them.
"I guess I can understand why she would be nervous about all the alphas in the house, but why me? Why does she hate me?" He asked Yoongi in the afternoon.  His response to you the day before hadn't been what he'd wanted. His first thought had been to defend his pack, not to listen to your concerns. In his estimation, based on his admittedly sheltered experience, any alpha you had encountered so far had clearly not been worthy of the name. He, by contrast, had collected several of the very best, so who were you to judge and criticize? As time went on though he began to take your behavior more personally tough. His comfort was the best thing he had to offer, but you refused it.
"It has nothing to do with you, or us," Yoongi reasoned.
"But can't she see we aren't like other people? We've been nothing but kind to her since she got here!" Hoseok pouted.
Yoongi smiled regretfully. "Babe, she didn't ask to come here or for our kindness. And while I hope she's grateful and more importantly, feels safe, from everything I know about her, I'd be surprised if she did trust us. Just because we're good people doesn't mean she has a reason to trust us if she's never met good people before."
Hoseok pouted harder.
By dinner time he thought he was going to lose his mind. When his pack came home from a hard day of work, Hobi went into full omega mode, making sure that everyone had everything they needed to rest and relax. And you were throwing a major wrench in his plans. Maybe you weren't his pup but you were a pup, and he could not stop worrying about you no matter how hard he tried. Now matter how ungrateful and impolite you were, you still needed to be taken care of and you clearly were not going to do it yourself.
All the alphas felt on edge too, as Hoseok banged utensils on pans anxiously while he cooked, not in the gentle manner he usually had. Yoongi helped to chop fruit, doing so more carefully than usual as he kept his senses alert to the omega tje easy he had all day. Namjoon set the table, putting extra focus into not breaking anything in case that might set his mate off. Jin hovered just as anxiously as he flipped pancakes beside Hoseok. They often had dinner for breakfast on Monday nights as a treat for having made it through a hard day.
"Do you want me to take care of those eggs?" Jungkook asked cautiously as Hobi's split attention led them to burn.
"Yes," he replied, shoving the spatula against Tae's chest as he pushed past him toward your door.
"Love, I thought you were giving her space," Jin called over his shoulder.
"To hell with her space! This is my house, and I need to know what's going on inside of it!" Hoseok marched to your room, Namjoon following close behind after a look from Jin.
He knocked firmly on the door, but even the four quick beats sounded anxious as they reverberated through the house. No sound came from the other side of the door. Maybe you were sleeping. If that was the case then there would be no harm in Hoseok seeing you for himself. He gripped the nob, half expecting to find it locked, but it wasn't. Cracking the door open just enough to get a view of the bed, he found you were missing. Panic raced through him at the thought that you might have left, so he pushed the door open. And there you were, halfway to the bathroom, sprawled facedown on the floor.
Yoongi set the knife down with a dangerous clatter at the sound of Hoseok shouting his name. His heavy footsteps were followed by those of the other alphas toward your room. He pushed past Namjoon, who took up most of the doorway, in order to crouch beside you and Hoseok.
"What happened?"
Hoseok felt dizzy as he looked around the room. "I don't know! She was laying here when I came in. She hasn't eaten any of the food I brought or drank any water." Yoongi's hands touched lightly over your body, checking for any obvious injury. "Is she-?"
"No, sweetheart," Yoongi assured him. "Look, see her back rising and falling. She's breathing. She might have passed out from dehydration."
"I'll go get her some water," Taehyung offered.
"There's plenty of water here. Just-" he was going to tell the crowding alphas to go back to the kitchen and give them some space but he was cut off by the smoke alarm. Luckily that was enough to get their feet moving. Nothing motivated them quite like an imminent threat to their home.
"What can I do?" Hoseok asked as Yoongi gently rolled you over.
Yoongi shook his head. "I'm going to try to get her awake first. You go keep them settled." Hoseok hesitated, but Yoongi made eye contact and gave him a reassuring smile. "She's going to be okay. But the three of them might not be without you." The omega nodded and stood to do as he was told. "And set another place at the table," he added.
Hoseok stopped in his tracks to question him, but the alpha was in full medic mode, checking your pulse with a concentrated look, so he left.
Yoongi spoke your name loudly and firmly to keep any panic from his voice as she shook your shoulders. He was only five percent panicking, or so he told himself. He'd seen people in this state hundreds of times before and it was almost never life threatening. You had neglected eating and drinking for too long, but that was easy to remedy. He just needed you to wake up. He spoke your name again, and this time he saw your features morph into a grimace, which was better than no response at all. "C'mon, Y/N. You're alright," he assured himself as he moved closer to you. Gently he took hold of your ankles and lifted them to his shoulders in an attempt to get the blood flowing back to your head. Seconds ticked by as he rubbed your soft calves, waiting for you to open your eyes. When your eyelids finally fluttered open, he released a breath he hadn't realized he was holding.
"There you are, princess," he sighed.
When your eyes had fully adjusted, he could see that your pupils were still dilated, and you weren't completely lucid. You began to squirm away from him, but your tired body made very little progress.
"Take it easy. You passed out. I'm just here to make sure you're alright. Do you know what happened?"
Yoongi reluctantly let your legs slip from his hands as you carefully extricated your legs from his shoulders. You struggled to lift yourself up to your elbows, but he was there with sure hands gripping you around your rib cage. He maneuvered you to the side so you could lean against the bed, and then he unscrewed the top of a bottle of water from the bedside table before handing it to you.
"Just sip it," he instructed as you took the bottle weakly, needing two hands to hold it steady. "Do you know why you passed out?" You shook your head just barely.
Yoongi's face took on a stern expression that matched his tone when he spoke again. "You haven't eaten or drinken anything for the last day. Do you realize that?"
You shrugged. Yoongi shook his head. "That's why little pups like you need looking after. If you can't take care of yourself, alpha will have to do it for you." You visibly flinched at his words, and Yoongi sighed. Of course he knew he wasn't your alpha. And maybe your past alphas hadn't given you a good impression. But that didn't mean he wasn't going to try his hardest. "Look, princess. You can choose not to nest, to stop your heat, or not to take a knot. No one here is going to force you. But you do have to eat and drink. No dead pups in this house. Even if an IV is the one thing I will force on you."
You took in a sharp breath and exhaled in a huff, but at least you didn't look like you were going to put up a fight. A trickle of water slipped over your cracked lips and down your chin. Yoongi swiped it away with the pad of his thumb and felt another pang when you flinched, but he didn't pull away. Rather gently, so gently, touching his fingers to your chin, he made you face him. Being this close to you, where he could look into your eyes and you looked back at him, a thought locked into place that he had been dodging since the boys had brought you home. It was a feeling he hadn't had since he met Jimin, or before Jimin, either. It was a knowledge that you were his, and he would do anything to protect you. The hard part would be not frightening you when you were skittish as a bunny rabbit.
"Y/N, I will never hurt you. And I know you may have heard that before. And I know you may have been lied to. I know that you have no reason to trust me or anyone else. But time is the only way to earn trust. For now, just listen to me, and I will take care of you. For the next hour all you need to do is eat dinner with us. Can you trust me that long?"
You didn't respond, but merely lowered your gaze from his and handed him the water bottle. Based on what he had witnessed and heard from the others, this was a good sign. If you didn't want something you were more than capable of voicing your disagreement. Silence was rather an acquiescence, or at least as close as he could hope to get. While he had the chance he decided to press his luck. Your eyes grew big when he took a step closer to you. He placed one arm under yours, reaching around your back while the other went under your legs. You let out a whiny protest, kicking your feet.
"Oh, I'd love to let you walk to the table on your own, princess, but you've let yourself get so weak that I don't believe you would make it. So just be a good pup for me."
Try as you might to hide, Yoongi didn't miss the rush of blood to your cheeks as you buried your face in his neck. Nor did he miss the small sniff you took of him. His steps halted for a moment, and he adjusted his hold on you, bringing you closer.
"Go on, pup. It might make you feel a little better," he whispered. Again, you didn't respond except to tighten your arms around his shoulders and bury yourself deeper.

imposter syndrome talked ab just some forewarning
In History Class
MC: *walks into class with a small smile on their face*
Deuce: Good morning, MC. You seem happy today.
Ace: Yeah what's got you all smiley?
MC: Well, Kalim and Jamil were at my dorm the other day. Kalim really wanted to know about foods from my world and Jamil tagged along for obvious reasons. At on point Kalim wanted to look at my room and he found my snap-out-of-it post-it notes on the wall.
Deuce: Snap-out-of-it post-it notes?
MC: Oh, yeah they help remind me that a lot of the problems I think I have aren't really as problematic as I think. Like "Every personality is a creation of experiences that make you you." or "My friends like me because I am me". You see a while ago I figured out that I have a bit of Imposter Syndrome.
Ace: A bit of what?
MC: Well, it's pretty much I feel like I'm not the person everyone thinks I am. I'm not the gifted child everyone remembers or the smart person everyone seems to think I am. That if I can't hurry up and live up to everyone's expectations that they'll figure out I'm not as great a person they think I am and be disappointed and angry that all I am is an empty shell of who they believed I was and leave. Some times it will also come in the form of believing that my friends only want to be around me out of pity or that if I don't like what they like or want to do the same things as them then they will leave, even if they've reassured me they love me. I think the worst thoughts I ever got from it was when I started to believe that my personality was fake and that I didn't know why I was so different than the kid everyone liked. I started to believe that I had faked my personality from different shows, books, or even people to even have one.
MC: Honestly I didn't even realize it was imposter syndrome till someone else pointed it out to me after telling them this. I genuinely had no clue I was so disgusted with myself till I was talking with them about it and they pointed out that none of what I was saying was true, that everybody knew who I was and loved me as I am. I think I cried when they told me that.
Deuce: Prefect... I had no idea...
MC: It's alright, I've been learning to get better at combating it. Anyway, Kalim asked me about it and I basically told him and Jamil what I just told you. He then asked me what I'm doing to overcome it. So I told him about the main things that have helped. Reminding myself constantly that I am not fake or hiding who I am from people I love and who love me. Whenever I feel negative thoughts try to take over, think about one positive thing that I have done or something someone had said they love about me for every dark thought. If it gets to bad though, go to someone I trust and ask them flat out about those thoughts, it helps a lot. And twice a week I make a post-it or journal about one or two small things. Maybe a compliment someone gave me, or a task I completed. So every day or so since they've-
Jamil: *walks into the room* Prefect, here. I must get to class before Kalim catches something on fire I mean gets into trouble. Have a good day.*hands MC a small note and leaves the classroom*
MC: *smiling contently* It say 'Thank you for helping Kalim study yesterday great sevens know he needed it and your smile is unique'
Deuce: *getting out paper* If it helps you, I'll gladly join in.
Little bit of a rant u can skip I hope you enjoyed the post <3 Y'all I'm sorry I didn't mean to trauma dump but I really like the idea. But the story is true and I did cry (and it was in a restaurant) when my sis told me I was wrong and she knew who I really and she loves me. That our friends won't leave because all humans have opinions and we are allowed to clash. And that my personality isn't fake, that everyone's personality is what they've created themselves and that people add and take away from themselves all the time and work on parts of themselves they don't like to become better. That my brain was just being dark when there was many lights around me, waiting to be recognized. If any of y'all read this its just one side of imposter syndrome, there are a few versions and many levels of severity. I genuinely think you are awesome and perfectly imperfect the way you are!
Anywho thanks for reading!

Hii smooches!! I’m starting to brain rot for Dottore again and I really love your fragile reader posts and I was wondering, (sorry if you’ve already done this) what will happen if reader’s sickness is getting so bad to the point they start forgetting everything, the segments, dottore, their memories, anything about them. What if one day, Dottore goes to check up on reader and they are just scared because they don’t know why a masked man came in into their room and why are they not at home (just that they forgot what their past home was like too..) What if one by one reader forgot everything about the segments, what would their reactions be? I mean every time they try to make reader remember them, the next day, they forgot about them again. I know this was a little angsty, im sorry 😢
(x, x, x, x) (<- some other writing with fragile reader losing their memory) Hi anon!! I'm really glad you like my posts and I would be happy to elaborate more because, to be honest, I'm eating up the angst right now!
Losing your memory would be gradual, little things at first but no one could have guessed one day you would wake up and not remember anything. Especially you, how could you even fathom the thought of forgetting the people who hold most dear? But it happens anyway one day. Obviously, if you woke up in an unfamiliar place, unsure of who you were, your purpose, your situation, and to top it all off, a tall, masked man who certainly did not look like a normal or friendly person, would make you freak out. You'd try to scope out your surroundings at first, confused as to why there are framed pictures of you with people you don't know (and they all have blue hair for some reason?) Until the door opens and one of the people actually walks in and oh boy he looks a LOT more scary in person.
Dottore would be confused as to why you're slowly backing away from him, and why there is so much fear on your face. What's wrong? You shouldn't be scared of him, you never have been, so why now? But that's until you whimper out the question of who he is, and what he's going to do with you, and if he's going to hurt you, maybe even kill you, or what his intentions and, and, and- as the tears well up in your eyes, Dottore knows he's failed you once again.
I imagine there are times you get so worked up and terrified he has to sedate you so you can calm down. And all he can do is stroke your cheek and promise that everything is going to be okay as you fall back into a slumber, doomed to forget everything once again. Unfortunately, this is the only way for him to make you drink your medicine because obviously, you'd fight to the death before you let a strange man feed you an unknown substance.
Naturally, the segments are similarly upset. They've barely spent any time with you, and now you've forgotten them, as well as everything that makes you [Name]. But they're still going to love you of course. Zandy bawled his eyes out for hours once he found out, he's so sad that the only person who paid attention to him doesn't even remember him or the memories... he shows you the drawings you made with him but you still can't remember... Beta (Webttore) well... honestly it's going to be hard to bond with him because he is outwardly very not so normal... and you don't understand his eccentricity. Alpha (Akademiya segment) lets you play with the Ruin parts you used to love to construct with him, Omega merely tries to talk because every time he tries to touch you, you shy away.
These past four hundred years, the Akademiya days, they mean nothing now. Because you don't remember them. You don't remember him. But that's okay. This is just another obstacle, another problem to overcome. Dottore will make you remember, he swears it, no matter what it takes. And he'll wait for the day that familiar glint returns to your eye, and you're yourself once again.

If sakura and hinata were redeemed in naruto, would anyone even care? I feel as if I wouldn't care much, especially for sakura, cuz they've done too much. I think I would still hate them and some others wouldnt buy it.
I mean, say like Sakura was redeemed all of a sudden in boruto, would that be enough to overcome how she she treated other's throughout all the story? Especially Sasuke. Would redeeming her be enough to overcome how she harasses him all the time? Would it be enough to overcome how she chased sasuke and gave him a child he never wanted? Like she gets redeemed and goes "oops, I know you never wanted this but I'm sorry now and I'm a changed person, won't happen again." Like the damage is done, she's harassed him and chased him till he gave in, how can you better yourself after you've gotten what you wanted? redeeming can't reverse that damage. Or how she treated Naruto "sorry for being a bully and hitting you for no reason but I'm changed now, won't do it again." Apart from narusaku audience, which audience is gonna buy that? Like it's unconvincing she would get redeemed and then would apologize to naruto as it just so happens to be when he's hokage and she's got her prize Sasuke. Or for ino she gets redeemed and apologises for how she treated her, but it unconvincing because sakura has won Sasuke, so she and ino aren't fighting over him anymore.
Or for Hinata,"S..so...sorry n.nn....naruto-kun for guilt tripping you to marry me, I.. I.. I won't do it again, I'm better and changed." Like, he's already married to her and started a family. It's not going to mean much?
Based of the ask someone sent abt if it's possible Sakura and hinata could get redeemed. Like you've said in your reply, anyone can get redeemed, but I feel like it would be unconvincing or at the least, take a lot of work to redeem these two. This is just my opinion I could be wrong.
But that's the thing. If Sakura and Hinata were redeemed in Naruto, it would have meant something significant, and it would have contributed to the narrative and plot, because if the plan were to redeem them, then logically Naruto and Sasuke would be made to get together at the end. Look at what Sakura and Hinata represent. Two heteronormative selfish, entitled, unsympathetic, boy crazy girls who would potentially make into women who would force gay men to marry them to keep their illusions of love afloat. They don't give a shit as long as they get what they want, even at the expense of their spouses' well being or their own long term happiness. It was necessary for them to be written that way to facilitate the Brokeback Mountainesque situation in Boruto, no? What with the whole story being a love story and Sakura and Hinata as tools that were used to keep Naruto and Sasuke prisoners to their miserable lives, life of a shinobi who is supposed to live in the darkness, enduring all the misery silently. It's not the kind of world that will accept them, certainly not Naruto, someone who was systematically and institutionally ostracized, an orphaned, homosexual boy who is fated to be THE person in the world that will change it for the better. And this was the only way to resolve this story, in order for it to justify the new gen story, hence becoming the tragic ending that we hate. So the antipathy towards these ladies never got resolved. However, in order for their redemption to happen in the manga, a lot of things would need changing. Like the state of the shinobi world. A lot of things would need changing if Sasuke and Naruto were written to finally get together. Yes, the ending as it is now feels contrived. It is contrived. But it is not meaningless. The shinobi world has been established as a cruel world, where people don't get what they deserve. Look at Haku, look at Madara, look at Kisame, look at Neji, Sasuke, Naruto, Uchiha clan. And those who get it, don't deserve it. Look at Sakura, look at Hinata, look at Sarutobi, look at Tobirama, look at Danzo, look at village elders.
I agree with you that it won't matter if they were redeemed in Boruto. Boruto is not about the boys, they are supporting characters in it. Their story was Naruto and Shippuden. Which is over. And obviously, Kishi made it a point post Shippuden to keep Hinata and Sakura's the same as before, so it doesn't look like he is planning to redeem them. Looks like status quo would persist in the distant future.
However, it could have been done in Shippuden. And like I said in the other post you mentioned, anyone can be redeemed in a show and it is all believable as long as the writer justifies it within the story itself. I used the example of Orange is the new black, because it shows a whole host of complex characters, deeply flawed and yet realistic characters who were written to justly finish their redemption arc. Take Maria's character, a secondary antagonist in the story. Maria is quiet and shy as a kid but given her circumstances, she transforms into a take charge dynamo of a person, very impressive and self assured, she takes after her religious leader/drug trafficker father, who can charm the masses and lead them. She steals from her place of work, she cheats on her husband, she doesn't feel any regret about it. She gets caught and is sentenced for fraud. She works her way in the prison, but navigating the prison life brings out the worst in her, she eventually becomes the leader of the prison riot. She becomes a full fledged bully, a sadist, she has no ethical compass anymore. This leads to her stint in the max security prison, where she is made to eat the humble pie, she learns that life could get even harder, and the choices she has been making has been leading her into even deeper shit, away from her daughter that she loves so much, away from her friends that were her family in the prison. She joins the church, she makes amends to people she has harmed. Her redemption arc is shown throughout the last two seasons, by the end of which, she makes the least destructive of all choices, she apologizes to Gloria, her close friend whom she betrayed, and lets her loving and kind husband to marry the woman he loves, her husband whom she treated very unkindly in the past, despite him being so devoted to her. She agrees to let her husband marry another woman, a woman he loves genuinely, because for once, she thinks about her husband, and not herself. She commits a selfless act.
There were many instances where Sakura was written with a possibility to demonstrate maturity. The reason why Kishi wrote those scenes that way was that, when a character does something decidedly immature at a place or time where the opportunity was so damn ripe to do something mature, and doesn't do it despite everything that has happened before in the plot which had led to the current situation, the character loses credibility in the eyes of the audience. Audiences aren't foolish. Any good writer knows this. The way Kishi wrote Sakura's scenes, stresses even more on the fact that her character simply didn't evolve. Remained the same. That's what narrative motifs are about. This way, the reader is able to glean the meaning out of the scene, as intended by the author easily. It makes the impression the author wants his writing to make. Kishi made it quite clear that the reason why Naruto followed Sasuke was to save him and help him, to relieve his loneliness, to protect him. To be there for him, because he loves Sasuke and he KNOWS Sasuke reciprocates his feelings, even if he makes excuses to hide them, actions speak louder than words. As is evidenced in vote one especially. Sakura was written to chase after Sasuke for her own selfish reasons, where she simply ignores the need to know the truth about Uchiha massacre or any wish to actually know or understand Sasuke. Which Sasuke is clearly shown to understand about her. That's why he keeps telling her that she is annoying, just casually, an off the cuff remark lol. But when Naruto follows him, he gets very reactive, very disturbed, very distracted. Because he knows why Naruto is doing it, he suspects it. He keeps asking Naruto why because he wants to get confirmation from Naruto. Which he gets at the end. Point is, Sakura was shown to be selfish till the end, starting with part one, and then in the kage arc, war arc, just before vote two, at the end when she responds to Sasuke's apology as if she deserved it all along, and then asks if Sasuke would take her on his redemption journey. And then in Boruto and Gaiden.
Naruto on the other hand is shown as the one who is ready to share Sasuke's burdens and die with him in the same scene where Sakura tried to stab Sasuke in the back.
If you truly have conviction in your love, if you know that you love for the right reasons and if you truly care about your object of love, you would do things very differently from what Sakura did to Sasuke consistently in the manga. And all of it was shown to be done by Naruto. Who knows he loves for the right reasons, he would be a fool in love but not leave Sasuke's side because that's how much he believes, they resonated with each other even when they didn't know how to articulate it, they were both lonely. Naruto believes in his love for Sasuke and he knows Sasuke loves him, because he showed it to Naruto, with actions more than words. Naruto changes, he evolves in the course of the manga, he becomes better in every aspect, because he is constantly inspired by the memory of Sasuke, because of the motivation of protecting him and being his rock.
True love is courageous. True love doesn't hide behind empty words and excuses. True love justifies the words that have been said by the lovers. True love doesn't say the words and then take them back in the face of adversities. True love makes it happen despite the odds. That's the glory of true love. That's why it inspires us. That's why Sasuke was convinced by Naruto and not anyone else at the end. Sakura was given all the chances and suggestive realisations but still no redemptive action. Same with Hinata. She realises she is being selfish when jumping in the fight against Pein but she does it anyway because she couldn't help being attracted to Naruto and needed to make an impression on him at the expense of the whole village and Naruto's life, followed by getting trolled by Kishi when Sakura hugs Naruto in front of her. Still no redemptive action. Not even in the war arc when Neji died.
If you can make it believable, anyone can be redeemed, just need to justify it properly. And of course, it won't be an isolated event, it would influence the plot and characters that are connected with them.
Like for example, think about a character such as Oro. He was written to be dreaded, reviled, to cause shivers down the spine, and nervousness, to create a feeling of unease and anticipation, right? Because he is cruel and an evil genius, he is always a step ahead of his opponent, he is clever as a fox. But even he was redeemed. And no, the idea of his redemption was not just at the end when he supported the war efforts. The feeling of antipathy towards him went once he confronts the dead kages in the war arc and supports Sasuke. All through Shippuden, the audience is made to see how none of the adults in their world even attempts to understand Sasuke's predicament and given the amount of focus Kishi spent on making the readers understand Sasuke's tragic past, it makes you feel frustrated to see how no one in the plot tries to even understand Sasuke's side.
This was Kakashi.
Tumblr media
Even though Kakashi is shown to acknowledge that Sasuke has truly suffered given his past, he still doesn't understand him. And Sasuke's attitude towards him doesn't improve till the end. At best, he becomes close to indifferent to Kakashi at the end. It's all understandable because it makes sense, because Kakashi has already been established as a complacent and unquestioning tool of the shinobi system. He is emotionally inept and doesn't understand his own team members. And he thinks Naruto and Sasuke are just rivals while Sakura's love for Sasuke has matured, she really loves Sasuke, a girl who is kind and gentle. Lol.
This was Itachi, but who's surprised? Itachi is the definition of tool of the system.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
With Itachi, Sasuke tries his best to express his frustration with the system that was evidently so deeply unfair, he tried to explain where his anger came from, which is all very justified. He appeals to Itachi's love for him, and Itachi admits he was wrong to treat Sasuke as a blank canvas, as a kid who didn't understand the world. We again get to see yet another adult, someone who is this close to Sasuke, not understand Sasuke's predicament. Despite Sasuke's desperate attempts. Even Sasuke gets it at the end that there's no point explaining anything further to Itachi, he is brainwashed to the hilt. But he was still Sasuke's brother, and he did take the blame for being the reason why Sasuke was the way he was. But the audience is left frustrated nevertheless. After all this build up to show how cruel Danzo was and how the elders and Sarutobi were complicit in the massacre, we still see them regarding it lightly, as if it is an everyday event. And it compounds our frustration.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
No cost is big enough for the apparent safety of Konoha, as per Danzo, but we all know Danzo did it for personal gain, his megalomania, the power hungry despot in him who traded power for hate and destroyed a whole clan like so many stray animals. Danzo was basically a hypocrite. A lot of characters were, in the name of Konoha.
This was Sakura.
Tumblr media
After which she promptly made a plan to go kill Sasuke and attempted it.
And then there were others.
Tumblr media
No one really cared. Except Naruto of course, shown in kage arc.
Oro is the only adult who supports Sasuke and says something that all the sane audiences have been wanting for someone to say. Someone reliable, someone who would make sense of it, someone who would reassure us that we weren't crazy, that whatever we are feeling is justified. Kishi is not blind to it either, but he needed to set up this world as deeply unfair, and he was going for eternity apparently, lol, which is why nothing really changed much even after Shippuden. None of these characters were redeemed, the ones that never understood Sasuke.
Tumblr media
We are clearly shown by Kishi why it was that Oro changed his decision, he was not interested in participating in the war at all, his objectives were in no way benefited from the war. He was interested in Sasuke and even when he is reincarnated by Sasuke, he is still after Sasuke's body. But Sasuke had his own reasons to have brought back Oro and he tells him, Oro is intrigued. He is concerned so he tells Sasuke to not get embroiled, but Sasuke lets him know he can handle it and that he isn't a child. Sasuke shows agency. He is determined, there's a mature look to him, a certain calm strength of will. He realized what Sasuke has been through, he who understands Sasuke's motivation very well. He knew Sasuke went through hell, to be able to kill Itachi, and then he was told the truth about him, he was manipulated even by him, as he himself admits, but he can see that Sasuke has changed, grown. And this convinces Oro to help him, who is now invested in Sasuke's future, even if he doesn't particularly benefit from it. In the scene when all the dead kages are brought back, we are waiting to see what will happen with baited breath, it's a big deal. The crescendo is building and building, big credit to Oro who kept goading and goading, putting all those thoughts in words that we were thinking all along.
Tumblr media
"It's really not that complex a jutsu....". He tells it like it is with such dry wit and sharp sarcasm, he trolls Tobirama and how. Hahahah. He calls him out left and right and it is then reiterated by Hashirama. Full entertainment guaranteed. He unequivocally takes Sasuke's side and he doesn't have a hidden agenda anymore. He threatens to destroy Konoha himself lol. He threatens all the kages, all the leaders of Konoha, people who made very bad decisions. He genuinely wants to see the way Sasuke's wind would blow. And when he feels Sasuke's life is being threatened by Tobirama, he positions himself for retaliation and is ready to protect Sasuke.
Tumblr media
Sasuke resonates with Oro. Even though Oro was portrayed as a ruthless, mad genius, cruel and manipulative villain, whose past (childhood) was suggested to be equally unfair, but who has been hunting our favourite characters, harming them, torturing them, of course he was reviled by readers. But then, he is made to do the one thing no other adult could do. And it suits him very well. He is one who wanted to get all the victims of this unfair world together and make his own village, he was a non conformist, he was the outlier, someone who understands the ways of this world very well and takes advantage of it for his own benefit without regret, he refused to pander to the shinobi world's ways, he decided to make his own. It suited him to go his own way, being disinterested in war and to root for something/someone he was interested in. Sasuke. He puts his hand where his mouth is. Unlike others, he is not a hypocrite. He has seen wars too closely and he knows what it does to people. All the collateral damage. Sasuke is able to relate with Oro. This is what redeemed Oro, to whatever extent he has been redeemed to. Of course it doesn't make all his other actions alright, but it does soften our impression of him and we lose the edge of antipathy towards him.
And this was done properly. It was made to look believable. You are right, it takes work. The ladies' redemption doesn't mean anything now, in Boruto. It could have meant something back then, but Kishi wasn't going for it in any case.

I was having a good conversation in a group and someone said some things that, in a way, I understand why they didn't want to.
But every Sarah couple needs to have REAL obstacles to overcome, sometimes I agree too much with a friend of mine who says that some people think they are impossible and don't really understand the quirks and things that the author likes.
And we know that Sarah goes from Hate to Love if she wants between couples, nothing is impossible for her.
The person told Elain she can't be with Lucien because he remembers the worst day of her life.
But if think about it like that, everyone involved in that day will remind her of that day, Nesta also doesn't let her forget it with her overprotection.
Nesta could hate everyone involved, whether or not it was her fault just because of the memory.
Oh, I wonder if I'm wrong in thinking that this doesn't mean that she just found a living culprit and can shift the blame, but it doesn't exactly mean that she hates him, but I think the problem is her ex-fiance who rejected her and didn't accept that she also has a fae partner and became a fae.
I think this brings anguish to the couple and that they will really have to overcome.
I don't know if my reasoning is correct, but I don't completely think that Elain blames Lucien for everything that day, but that she may not even ignore him based solely on a day that was terrible for her.
The first time Feyre met Rhys was when the three faries were sexually harassing her. The second time Feyre met Rhys was when he broke into her mind and scared her. The third time Feyre met Rhys was after she was taken to Amarantha UTM and he ended up using her in his schemes to try to save the fae from the curse. Nesta met Cassian for the first time after she spent a lifetime fearing the fae, a few months after Tamlin had broken into their home and kidnapped her sister. Feyre says she could scent the fear on both Nesta and Elain as they met the Illyrians. Yes, Lucien was there when Elain was turned and yes, she knew some of what had happened and that Tamlin had tried working with the King of Hybern but it has since been proven that Ianthe was the reason the sisters were there (not Lucien or Tamlin). It has since been proven that Tamlin was trying to play double agent to the King which did result in him being able to share important information at the High Lords meeting (which is really no different than Rhys playing double agent with Amarantha or Jurian playing double agent. They've all done it, it's only that Tamlin's did not go as planned because he was foolish and trusted Ianthe). Claiming she can't get past that after she invited him to come back to Velaris at the end of ACOWAR doesn't make a lot of sense, right? Claiming she can't get past something he didn't even directly do to her is ignoring that Feyre was able to move past multiple things Rhys specifically did to her in ACOTAR. I loved Feysands story but lets not pretend that Lucien set out to use Elain as a pawn in the same way Rhys did use Feyre. Also, Rhys acted of his own accord while Lucien felt obligated to follow along with what his High Lord wanted.....BECAUSE of the lies Rhys and Feyre had told everyone. Again...I loved Feysands story but the only reason Tamlin and Lucien allied with Hybern in the first place was because Rhys, Cassian, Az, etc. were all fine allowing others to think the worst of the NC, that they were murderers and torturers and that Feyre was in fact being harmed by Rhys (something she herself allowed Lucien to believe in ACOMAF when he found her in the woods). So if Elain is able to live with a people who tricked an entire land for centuries, causing others to fear for their lives and the lives of their loved ones only doing what they did to protect them from the NC, if she can love the brother-in-law, helping him in his own home and court, who once did what he did to her sister and and almost shattered her own mates mind, then I think she can and already has forgiven Lucien for anything that happened in the past, things that were beyond his control.

- brick fireplace // a byler ficlet
Mike thinks he might have a sixth sense, of some kind.
Having not slept very soundly these past few months, Mike has miraculously found that he's actually fallen asleep the night Will has to stay in his room due to the limited space in the Wheeler household.
And those two things are NOT related. Obviously.
It's just coincidence, then, when he jolts awake, utterly disoriented, to the sound of heavy breathing - like someone is having a panic attack. Mike turns to the side, where Will is currently stationed on the floor, sleeping in a sleeping bag that Mike had had to shake the dust out of due to it having been left at the back of a storage closet for...who knows how long.
"Will?" he whispers. He can't really see anything, since his room is pitch black - but he can hear the gasping breaths, which immediately stop once he speaks.
"Sorry," Will murmurs. "I'm sorry. I- I woke you up, didn't I?"
Mike shuffles under his bedcovers, still not really awake but immediately sensing that something is wrong regardless. "Yeah, but -" Will's breathing is still heavy. Mike wonders if he'll take oxygen donations from him. "Are you okay?"
It's a stupid question. No shit, Mike, of course Will isn't okay. He's kind of reliving all of his childhood trauma on full display for all of his family and friends. No, Will is not okay. And as Will's best friend, Mike should know this. He's a little scared, though - a bit hesitant to reach beyond the walls they've built up over the last two years. Scared that if he pokes at one brick - removes a single block, puts one stick out of place - reaches out and says, let me help calm you, holds Will in his arms like he so desperately wants to - the walls will come crashing down, all at once. And that's not what he wants. And probably not what Will wants, either, but really, what does he know?
Beside him, Will is silent for a moment. "Do you want an honest answer?" he murmurs. Mike tenses. He knows what Will is referencing, of course - lying to him about the painting, which had nearly fractured their friendship forever. He's not letting him lie again.
"Well, yeah."
"It was just-" Will sighs. He definitely thinks it isn't a big deal, even though it fucking is, and Mike is overcome with the urge to shake him violently by the shoulders. "A nightmare. They've been getting worse since-"
"...yeah." It doesn't take Mike long to realize what Will is referring to - all he has to do is look through the cracks in his blinds to see the red clouds, probably identical to the ones Will had seen in 1983, coating the Hawkins' skies above.
"Yeah," Will replies softly.
They're silent for another moment. Mike feels like - well, he feels a lot of things, most of which he has a terrible time expressing. But right now, he just feels tired, and he knows Will is, too, if the bags under his eyes Mike's been seeing as of late are anything to go by.
And so he pokes at a loose brick in the wall. It can't hurt. "Why don't you come up here?" Mike pats the empty bedspace beside him, and he swears he hears Will gasp. As if they hadn't done this countless times before as little kids.
It's different now, obviously. The connotation is different, after everything that's gone on. But Mike is delirious from lack of sleep, and the only coherent thoughts his brain is putting together are Will and scared, which he figures amounts to something, especially when his mattress dips as additional weight is added to it and he finds himself naturally giving the bigger part of the blanket to Will, who always shivered if he didn't have at least two blankets, no matter how warm it was outside.
"Mike, you don't have to do this," Will says airily as Mike gently pushes his shoulder to ease him onto the mattress. Mike's eyelids are already droopy. He doesn't fully realize the implications of what he's doing, but Will definitely feels tired, too, and doesn't either. "I'm okay."
"Mm. Then why did you come up here? Could've refused," Mike replies teasingly, but there's no bite behind it.
The brick is coming loose. Wobbling on the other side of the wall, creating a crack in the structure that one can just barely see through to the other side with.
"I-" Despite his previous opposal, Will is now actively snuggling into the blankets. He chuckles. "I dunno. You're like...a human furnace, I guess. And I was cold."
Mike's eyes are closed, now. "I do run hot," he murmurs. "You needed company, too. C'mon, admit it."
"Mike-"
"You love me."
All goes silent for a moment. Mike is beginning to fall asleep. The brick is teetering on the edge of falling out, but not quite removed from the wall yet. Maybe that can wait until tomorrow.
"I'm cold. You're hogging the blankets," Will whispers, though Mike can tell he wants to say something else.
Without opening his eyes, Mike shifts forward, hoisting himself farther up onto the pillows so his head rests atop Will's and his long arms can wrap protectively around his torso. It's nice, and ridiculously cozy. Will breathes fast against his neck, and for a moment, Mike thinks he may be having a nightmare again.
"What are you doing?"
And - okay. Mike doesn't really know what he's doing, at the moment. He's sort of already half asleep, and Will says he's cold, and Mike runs hot, so he's come to the only logical solution: be Will's human furnace (and protector against nightmares, but that's a silly title, and Mike knows Will hates talking like that. Maybe it can just be implied.)
"I'm keeping you warm," Mike answers simply.
Silence. He fidgets, though it's more like a fish flop since his muscles have turned to jelly with sleep. In doing so, he accidentally nuzzles his face into Will's hair, and catches a brief scent of vanilla shampoo.
"Is this...okay?" Mike asks, just to make sure.
Will is silent for a moment, and then Mike feels him nod against his sternum. It sends shivers up his spine, but they're the good kind - the kind that ease Mike into slumber almost immediately.
He's asleep, now, all noises from the outside muffled. Something whispers into his sternum - it feels like lips, tracing quiet words into his skin, begging him to understand. Begging him to just feel.
"I love you."
The brick falls out of the wall, and Mike pulls Will just a little bit closer.

J2 Main Panel Vegascon 2023
The panel starts with Jared revealing that he currently doesn't have an ACL on his left knee. He still did the beginning of the panel jump, can you jump without an ACL? Sure. Should you? Probably not.
Jensen tells him to get that fixed to which Jared replies that he can't get it fixed right now because he's in season.....so Jensen leans over and smells him.....and says that he is.....what in the ABO AU is going on here 💀
Jared is an omega. Confirmed.
I'm moving on from this before I lose my mind....but they've role-played this, I'm just saying.
Anyways, Jared seriously has to deal with that knee because he comments he has to sometimes lift it and put it back which is concerning. And then the conversation turns to when is it too late to be saying Happy New Year, the crowd says February, then Jared asks if everybody can agree that Christmas lights can stay up later than that for ambiance lighting. Some in the crowd say if they're clear or white, someone says all year long- Jensen says you can leave them up all year but turn them off the week after New Years because if you have them on all year then it's not special anymore when you get to turn them on. I agree with that, part of what makes Christmas so special is that it comes around only once a year.
They both went away for the holidays. Jared didn't put up a Christmas tree this year, but according to Jensen D put one up after Thanksgiving while he was filming so the day after they got back he had to take it down and put the whole thing away. And it's one of those trees that put on a light show, and Jared's like "does it dance?" and Jensen says yes...and that it also makes an amazing beef stroganoff. So Jared asks what his favorite stroganoff is, they laugh and he calls Jensen handsome. He's either making a comment about Jensen stroking off or referring to this entry from Urban Dictionary. Either way 😏.
On to questions! When they get nervous or scared during scenes, how do they overcome their fears? Jared asks if there are bears involved which reminds Jensen of a video that he saw of a bear walking down a highway and fixing a traffic cone that had fallen over.
Jensen says he's less fearful of stunt scenes than emotional scenes. For him, stunts are fun he gets to throw himself against a wall or dive over a table or get into a fake fight. Jared says that as far as stunts go at least on spn, and on Walker, in his experience by the time he does a stunt on Walker it's been done multiple times by his stunt coordinator so he feels safe and secure, obviously, something could go wrong no matter what but in his experience, he's been more physically injured on scenes that didn't require a stunt double than on scenes that were like here's where you jump through a window like they did in s4.
Jensen makes the comment that Jared didn't get hurt at all during that scene but ask him to get into the backseat of a car and he rips his scalp off. The story behind that is that during the first episode of s3 there's a scene where the boys have to get into Bobby's car which is a beat-up, two-door Chevelle. Bobby and Dean go in the front seat, and Sam has to hop into the backseat but Jared is not a short person there's not really an elegant way for him to get into this car, he has to pull the lever that moves the seat forward so he can crawl in, and Kim Manners, who was directing the episode, is yelling at him to hurry up that they're supposed to be running from a demon. So he's like all right and starts basically launching himself in the car, and he's banging into everything, and after a couple of takes they're fixing Jared's hair and a clump of his hair comes out and their stylist is freaked but assumes he's losing his hair so she doesn't say anything she just starts coming up with a plan but the next day there's another clump of hair and this one has skin and blood attached and she's like 'wtf???' and she checks Jared's scalp- Jared had been scalping himself on the top of the car every time he jumped in because the window didn't have weather stripping it was exposed metal.
They actually kept that piece of hair as a prop and it's what was used when Sam had to summon a crossroads demon.
To actually answer the question about how they deal with their fears, Jensen says it depends on the situation and what kind of fear it is they're feeling, he says that he and Jared are similar in that when they're doing a scene to some degree there's a focus on what they're doing that's right in front of them and it's like everything else blurs away, and in the two to three minutes they're doing a scene nothing else is being thought off other than playing that character in that moment with whoever else is in that scene, and it's an interesting feeling cause when they yell cut the real world floods back into your mind so it's almost a weird checking out for a couple of minutes and then checking back in.
Jared agrees, and says that for him thinking back on it, he got less fearful as the seasons of SPN went on; he remembers being very nervous during s1 about emotional scenes, some of the stunts, and some of the exposition scenes but then he'd do them and realize it wasn't the end of the world. So there was kind of a life lesson there for him, and probably for Jensen as well, to just do it, just do their best. That's all you can do and that's something he has gradually accepted and it has helped.
Jensen brings up the saying "do something every day that scares you" and he thinks the lesson in that is that the more you push yourself and do things that give you pause the better at it that you'll be so he thinks if there is something that scares you or something you're hesitant about trying, whatever that might be, the more you can do it the easier it will become. x
When they go back to Van is there somewhere they always try to eat or somewhere they always try to go back to? Jared answers yes, Gotham, and Cioppino's for sure. Jensen agrees, he says over the years there are certain favorite restaurants they've had but at this point when they go to Van they want to go see people that they miss so he'd rather go sit at the dining table of one of their crew member's houses than a restaurant. x
If Sam and Dean kept a journal like John did what would be their top hits in terms of drawings and what they would put into it ie. monsters and hunts? Jared says that in Sam's journal, Ruby would probably be dog eared. Jensen quips that it would say "don't fall for the first one, wait for the second one to come along"....there's something kinda snarky about that *snort*
Jensen says Wendigo would be one of the top ones, number one would be yellow-eyed demon. Jared says he didn't start his journal until after they killed Azazel, so it would be Ruby, Lucifer, maybe Gadriel/Ezekiel. Someone in the crowd mentions soulless!Sam which Jensen says would be in Dean's journal. Vampires, Chuck, Leviathans- someone mentions fairies, Jensen says that would just be one page with three words "fight the fairies" and maybe at the bottom it would just say microwave. x
What is Jensen's insight toward demon!Dean's indifference towards Baby? Jensen answers that he thinks it was demon!Dean's indifference towards just about anything that's what kind of made him a demon that he didn't care about humans or anything in the human world except maybe karaoke. That it was more just a general indifference towards anything although that's a hard one to be indifferent about even if you are a demon. And he will say that it must have been really painful for Dean to watch this demon take his vessel and then not care about the car, that it was tough on him, and it was hard to play. I get what he's saying but I genuinely don't know if he just worded this weirdly or if he forgot that demon!Dean wasn't a possession. x
The next fan is having a birthday re-do because the previous year was supposed to be a milestone birthday but they broke their back - ouch - so they want to know if the boys have any suggestions. Jared jokes "don't break your back again" and Jensen says that he thought for sure Jared was gonna say "we're glad you're back" 😂
Jensen asks the fan what are some of the things they were looking forward to that they didn't get to do last year, the fan replies she missed conventions, some trips, concerts, and wasn't able to drive for 7 months. So Jensen's suggestion is that she gets in a car and drive to all the cities where the bands that she likes are playing, go to those concerts, and stop by some of the conventions the boys are doing. x
What do they think is the worst thing Sam and Dean ever did? And (in the fan's opinion) why was it leaving Adam in the cage? Jared offers up for consideration that the boys never really had Adam, that he thinks if they had they would have done their damnedest but he thinks instead Sam and Dean kind of had to go into hunter mode. He and Jensen, and he thinks probably everyone else, wanted a win like that for the brothers but like many things, in their lives, it came with a big asterisk of bad news. Supernatural was comedic at times but it was also kind of tragic, nothing ever really went just right for the boys, they were always waiting for the other shoe to drop and when it did it was heartbreaking. So, he thinks the boys did the right thing with Adam, as horrible as it sounds. But he doesn't think Sam needed to spend so much time with Amelia. He thinks he would have gone after his brother a bit earlier. Agreed! 💯.
Years later and I still hate that storyline.
Jensen says the worst thing Dean probably did is not dodge a little stick of rebar. x
If they had the opportunity to be cast as a villain or as a superhero what would they choose, or what would they like to be? Jensen replies he kind of got to do both he was a superhero and kind of a villain and he says kinda because in Soldier Boy's mind he was not bad. He was the hero of his own story. He asks the fan if they mean a certain universe like Marvel or DC, fan replies if he had the opportunity to do something else in addition to Soldier Boy. Jensen says even though he does get to voice him he would be Batman. And villain wise he doesn't think he'd ever want the job but the Joker. But he states again that's not a road he'd like to go down.
Jared says he's not super interested in exploring the superhero kind of journey and tropes and archetypes he would love to play a villain maybe like Elon Musk 🤣 He doesn't have a specific villain picked out but he likes psychological mind games so it would be something in that line. x
Do both of them have new works in the pipeline? Jared says he doesn't, that Walker Independence finished filming s1 they still have a couple episodes to air, and they are still shooting Walker s3. Because Jared referred to Walker Independence as Windy Jensen got confused and thought Jared was announcing he was doing something with the restaurant Wendy's 😆
Jensen says he has a few things coming this year, the first few months of the year are pretty busy for him with multiple projects. And he just signed a deal that he can't talk about yet but it will probably be press released soon and that will lead to some stuff in development 👀
If the roles were reversed in Mystery Spot and it had been Dean who had to watch Sam die, how long would it have taken Dean to figure it out and what would have Gabriel been trying to teach him? Jensen answers it would have taken Dean much longer because he would have started to enjoy himself knowing he doesn't have the consequences of tomorrow and that could last for some time before he decides he's bored of that and should probably fix the situation he's in. And he doesn't know if there would necessarily need to be a lesson maybe 'get your head out of your ass' or 'don't eat tacos' to which Jared points out he would be the one eating tacos but Jensen says maybe that's the lesson be careful with what you eat and that leads back to the Wendy's comment from the last question, and they plan a Wendy's commercial on the spot. WENDY'S MARKETING WHERE YOU AT? Also, Jensen makes the joke that they're announcing their new advertising company J&J Ads and that is actually a damn good name for an advertising company. x
The next is a question and a surprise! A fan proposes to their girlfriend on stage (they propose at the mic, the boys invite them on stage), and she says yes! Congrats to the happy couple and the dude does not lose the opportunity he asks Jensen if he would sing at their wedding. Jensen says if he has an opportunity- and the dude says Oct 7th. The man came prepared! Jensen says to let him know and if he can he would love to sing at their wedding. 💍
The next fan is a middle school teacher and they want to know what kind of middle school boys were they and do they have any advice for her middle schoolers? Jared starts to say that he thinks he was actually a decent middle school kid and Jensen immediately goes "I was not". He says, "avoid having your parents called in the middle of the night by the police department two counties over".
That he could sneak out and be gone forever but nowadays with technology most middle schoolers have phones, apple watches, tracking devices- you can't get away with the kind of stuff that he would get away with back in the day so he would say don't do that but you're still young enough where it could be fun.
Jared gives a serious answer and says his kids go to therapy and one time they were talking with their kid's therapist and they said that there's an interesting way to pose a question to a child. If you need to ask something serious it is wise to lead it by telling them: [name of the child] I'm going to ask you a few questions and just so you know I already know the answer to some of these questions, and then you ask your question, like did you paint the wall? Because sometimes you have to ask kids things and they just need to admit it but their instinct because they're defensive is to go "no". And this is something he'll go through with his kids he'll ask them something like "did you leave your laundry on the floor?" and they instinctually go "no".
Jensen says he would say this to middle schoolers as well as high schoolers: you only get one go around with that experience so try to get as much out of it as you possibly can. One of the reasons he's on stage today is because he had somebody in his high school life encourage him to try out for the spring play; you should try as much as you possibly can cause you never know what doors it may open so he would encourage middle schoolers and high schoolers to try to expand as much of their experience within that space as they possibly can cause who knows where that might lead, try to get as much of what that portion of your life can offer cause it's a lot.
Honestly, I would say that's great life advice in general because there's no age limit to learning and/or expanding your experiences and trying new things. x
The next question comes from a fan who has yet to watch the finale and they want to know if they should. The answer from both of them is, yes. Jared thinks it's worth it, even though it is difficult to watch. Jensen says that the reason we watch these shows and we follow these characters and these storylines is that they draw emotion out of us and it's an escape from life, we get to go on this journey with these two brothers and experience what that story and that journey is through them so he thinks by not watching the final episode you're robbing yourself of the emotional journey we got to go through.
Jared concurs and adds to remember that it's the final episode of SPN but that doesn't necessarily mean it's the last episode of SPN. x
When is the third Radio Company album coming out? As soon as it's finished. It's currently being mastered so hopefully by the end of this month if not then he would assume in February. x
If they could have had anyone guest star on the show who would it have been and who or what would they have played? Jared replies Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum, and conversations were had about possibly having them on the show, they also tried to get Stephen Amell on the show- they tried to be on a different show where they go into town and kill two vampire brothers, he's referring to the Vampire Diaries and he's mentioning Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder who played the Salvatore brother's are both friends and he was with them when they did a VD convention and a Vampire Diaries Convention🤣
He would have loved to have Milo on the show- Jensen says they're more likely to pick friends of theirs because what they get to do is a lot of fun when they have people that have fun with them. That's a large reason why a lot of the faces you see on Walker and Winchesters, or even up on the stage are familiar faces because they want to continue working with the people that they like, they want to continue playing with people that enjoy playing. x
Also, there was a cute moment before the question was asked because the fan mentioned that her husband took them on a family trip and they got to go to Jensen's brewery, Family Business, and Jared asks if it was a family trip or a business trip, and Jensen slightly shakes his head and says he could it hear too, he could hear Jared thinking up that joke then he turns, looks at Jared, who's all proud of himself, and fondly goes "you're such an idiot" as he turns back around and bursts into laughter. I swear this man is the biggest fan of Jared's stupid jokes 💕
Last question! Is there a song they’ve heard so many times that they’re sick of listening to it? For the fan the song is Firework by Katy Perry, Jensen comments he went through a Firework phase he had to listen to it every time he got the kids to school and it was awful.
Jared says Baby Shark, also comments that he thinks a lot of the songs on the radio right now he doesn't love listening to on a regular basis- the fan mentions Let It Go but Jared likes it, Jensen has listened to it a million times. There's a song by Shawn Mendes that JJ makes Jensen listen to all the time but he can't remember what it is, and then at the end, Jensen takes a shot at Maroon 5 saying that they'll continue to weather those storms in the car when listening to songs they don't like incessantly or even bands that they don't like *pretend cough* Maroon 5. x

I recently learned something.
Those who have been oppressed often oppress others. Not always is the case but more often than not it seems to happen. There are those who want to be oppressed so they can claim victimhood and say they've been oppressed too so they can fit in with even more oppressed groups. When oppressed upon harshly and over long term it causes hatred, bigotry, racism etc. People who don't realize they went from being oppressed to the oppressor means they can still claim oppression and cruelty while also being oppressive and cruel to others. It's a nasty cycle way too many people perpetuate. I was oppressed by a cruel step father for 12 years, he was a pedophile and he forced horrible things upon me against my will and as time went on I developed serious anger problems. I was angry at everything and everyone from the system, to men, to the police, to my community I also hated myself. I hated so deeply that I needed anger management because I was concerned I'd become a liability to the safety and wellbeing of others, myself included. I never thought about how my oppression was causing me to oppress others, I never took into account that I had been a part of a cycle of violence and hate. However, after my step father was gone for good I finally had time to begin healing, taking years of therapy, going to anger management, keeping drugs qnd liquor at bay so I didn't begin addictive habits which were all around me as soon as I stepped outside my door I had accessed to everything from ocean, weed, meth, heroine, pills, free liquor. I lived surrounded by a couple of native reserves where my friends did drugs and drank just to pass the time. Boredom, fear, anger, oppression, these things lead towards a very dark path if you don't become aware of how it effects us. The oppressed feel helpless so they begin to oppress in order to feel powerful over others, and the cycle goes on and on. I witnessed it on reserves where my friends lived and they were miserable and bored most of the time, sneaking their parents liquor and drugs with ease. The accessibility of drugs and liquor is far too easy for minors. People learn disrespect and distrust because of begin oppressed. My step dads mother oppressed him, she had bipolar and borderline personality disorder, she refused medication for a long time because she was in denial and he didn't know he had inherited her mental health issues until many years after and it was far too late by then the damage had been done. His mental illness had nothing to do with him being a pedo though that was all on him but his outbursts of rage, verbal, mental and physical abuse had taken its toll on me and my mom. In anycase I realized I don't want to be an oppressor. I don't want to feel this hate qnd contempt for everyone. No one did anything to me but in my mind once long ago I blamed everyone else but didn't take into account my own oppressive thoughts. I did not wish to be like that so it took over 10 years of work on myself to overcome toxic habits and intrusive thoughts. Don't get me wrong I still get intrusive thoughts but now I stop to analyze those thoughts and question them. No longer a slave to my mind, I seek to only coexist as best I can with the world no, no more buzzing in my head to go out and cause trouble I'm freeeee. I take time for myself when I need it and I've learned to enjoy being on my own instead of feeling alone and unhappy when I'm by myself, I'm finally at peace and became my own best friend, I went from hating myself to loving myself (not in a narcissistic way though) but i've learned to accept I can't control everything, I can't control what others do, I can't control what others think or feel about me, I can't control society. I had to learn to let go and accept it is what it is, time to move on. All praise be to God for helping me through the darkest days of my life. I used to hate so deeply man...it felt like it was becoming a part of my DNA lol. Anyway that's all I had to say, thank you for reading. Have a good day. 💖

Disclaimer: this is embarrassing but I once shipped Nesta and Rhysand. HEAR ME OUT
I'm not a Feysand and Nessian fan and in particular I think they work better as separate characters. BUT THIS ISN'T BECAUSE I USED TO SHIP NxR, I read with an open mind and take things as they are so this wasn't any kind of weird ship jealousy
Rhysand was never a good guy but before the nauseating retcon/whitewash of ACOMAF, I thought he was interesting.
Obviously by the end of ACOTAR, sjm had already set the seeds for the ship switch from FeyLin to FeySand. But I was a newbie to sjm and had no idea the fuckery she was gonna use to do this.
Still, between MAF and TAR I was left to think of how things might go and I heard enough of other people's opinions and reactions to know that Rhys was gonna become a sort of dark "hero"
Now I'm not against enemies to lovers, but only in the instance that the enemies isn't a super personal element : to clarify I mean if the characters personally enact violence on one another - it's a no from me.
Also I don't really like super edgy characters so Feyre being a brutal survivalist and Nesta being a bitch was just enough for both of them to fit the sort of girlboss trend but not overdo it into Strong Female Character territory.
Now by the end of TAR, Nesta was already the character I was most looking forward to even if I didn't actively think of her as my favourite. I thought her ability to negate(?) the glamour of a HL was gonna mean something, I thought Nesta going out to the wall to get her sister back was gonna mean something, I thought Feyre and Nesta rekindling and making up was gonna mean something, I thought their nameless parents and the three sisters reflecting aspects of pagan goddesses was gonna mean something. It didn't.
I was half reading MAF, stopping every three chapters cause my eyes hurt from how often they rolled at the over-the-topness of it all. Characters who'd been almost 3D suddenly had 2 traits we were beaten over the head with, retcons left n right and the side characters were eating the main characters up. Here's where my brain started wandering off the well laid sjm path.
So I embraced delusion. What if FeyLin didn't ignore each other's trauma? What if they had a rough patch but ultimately worked things out?
And then I started spiraling.
I kept seeing "like calls to like" stuff (no idea it was stolen?) And knew Rhysand was the most powerful HL then learned Nesta STOLE FROM THE CAULDRON.
The sister with the keen intellect and not so subtle royal descriptors and the sneakiest, most scheming HL in the book??
Nesta's unforgiving nature and unwillingness to be lenient to the Fae Vs the man who secretly hated what he'd done to protect his people??
Like forget who they are now and tell me you can't seeeee it
Nesta's want to return to an upper class life and Rhysand's (initial) aristocratic air?
She'd never let him dress or treat her the way he dressed and treated Feyre so we wouldn't have that God awful CoN, Rhysand's pet stuff.
Actual magic mentoring. Learning history and politics!!
No Illyrian culture vulture stuff but Nesta loves to learn so she'd still have been fascinated to learn about them.
Her facing and overcoming ignorance on the Fae while insisting that humans weren't wrong to be afraid.
Both of them at first pushing the other to confront who they are and what they've done but also building a strange intimacy when they realise the other truly knows and sees them and still thinks they can and will do whatever it takes to save as many people as possible
Quiet nights in his private library where they realise they don't hate each other's company
Less emphasis on training and more on the politics between the Mortal Lands, the Continent, the Courts and Hybern
The potential left me breathless.
[Please don't argue with me in the comments. I let this go long ago and I promise I'm not a threat to your literally cannon ships😭]

So ... QSMP Purgatory huh ...
I had too many thoughts last night to fit in the tags of other people's posts, so I just chucked it all into a draft and polished it up today. Who knows how it'll go from here, everything could change in an instant, but as it stood at the end of yesterday, well ...
It was interesting, because the challenge they were given can be overcome in a way that doesn't follow the eye's wishes. 'Can', being the key word. They've clearly been set up to turn on each other with intent to break the bonds that made them strong. Especially with couples and close friends being split apart like that. They've made it hard for teams to cooperate. However, compromises, workarounds, and cooperation could ensure that the chance of ultimate failure and losing the eggs is minimized. Sharing information, making unified plans, trying to find the cursed team, or find the exit, or find the eggs.
The team I thought most likely to think that way and try new things to get around the system was team red. After all, they did think outside the box with how to get resources and overcome their built in limitations. Why not take that further and think their way out of the situation as a whole? But being hunted for sport while your competition mostly leaves each other alone doesn't exactly allow for that kind of lateral thinking.
So they broke. Understandable.
It was actually so demoralizing watching that happen before it spiraled so far that it twisted around on itself and became utterly hilarious instead. Screaming and singing and dancing around the death pit and the ashes of their own bodies? Fascinating. The surprise lore drops around the 'house' which is only a floor? Fantastic. Funny and oddly touching as they started spilling secrets, no judgements just shocked laughs and a numbed acceptance, to each other in the ruin of what they once tried to build. They 1000% deserve to just go crazy. Do it kings, build that village, become npcs.
(Quick side-bar ... guys, don't you find it odd that our three confirmed avians, Baghera, Jaiden, and Phil, are all on this one team? And two of the three 'odd' tickets, with the only other one being Q himself? It's just strange, it seems significant in a way I can't put my finger on.)
But also. The admin team has done a great job placing clues that all point to blue being the cursed team which Must Not Lose. Great job there, it's a fun little puzzle and just because it looks like people have solved it already doesn't take away from that. We might even be wrong about it, but I hope not, because a good puzzle should be solvable. So ... it's probably team blue. And with certain members of team blue going murder mode and terrorizing team red till they shattered, giving up on points or standings or winning ... that potentially locks it in for them for the rest of the event.
If team red isn't playing by those rules anymore they aren't a threat. And team blue only needs to not be last for the eggs to be saved. Right? Well, done deal. Blue and green can go at it for clout unbothered by red and the threat of true failure. The event might has well have been 1 day. The rest of these two weeks won't matter beyond the lingering effects of personal actions if we truly are going with this format being the majority of the event (and if red truly has been beaten into a pulp).
And honestly ... I'm glad. I'm glad they locked it in. I'm glad team red was so crushed and demoralized that they broke down into madness. Because this is more fun.
Now it's possible that after some sleep red will decide to actually try again .... out-skilled and out-gunned with half their team perma-mia ... or that they'll end up getting member shifted over to make them an actual threat ... but I hope not!
I watch this roleplay server for the stories and drama and comedy. And for the truly beautiful way it has woven together people from different countries and cultures into a close knit group of friends. For the bond forged through joy and terror and loss that made some of these strangers into family. I don't want two whole weeks of sweaty pvp and grinding! Sounds boring. (To say nothing of the jarring tone shift and how it'll change character dynamics after as the memories and guilt and knowledge of how quickly and brutally some of them turned on each other linger.) But you'd best believe I'll tune in to see what these already traumatized people who cracked to pieces do next!
So don't re-balance it admins. Let it ride and let team red do whatever the fuck they want. They earned it. They put in their time being tryhards and it didn't work so fuck it all let's just have fun. Let's go npc madness village! Or whatever new chaos comes next, I'm sure they'll come up with something sufficiently scuffed. Few things are as intriguing and mildly-terrifying as Charlie Slimecicle with 'a plan'.
Go team blue to win the event. Go team red to keep the server fun.
And just as a quick addition ... Charlie summed it all up best. "We were put here to tear each other and ourselves apart ... " "When you guys finally come to your senses ... maybe it'll take a day, maybe it'll take two, but it won't take two weeks. And when you realize what this place is taking from you, you come find us."

Idk if this will be a very unpopular opinion or even something problematic but I just read some takes about Aziraphale choosing Heaven and not Crowley because that's the best for the world, so he is choosing the greater good before his own happiness, and I'm so sorry but I completely disagree with this
I don't think Aziraphale thought about what was best for the world at all, I'm 100% with Crowley when he says that Aziraphale doesn't know what he is choosing because in his mind, there was no in depth analysis about what could actually be the best decision for humanity.
Aziraphale said it himself, he said that Heaven is good, it's truth, is the best option, it always have been in his mind, and if he hadn't returned to Heaven any sooner it was only because he did not have the chance.
He has always thought that Heaven was better than Hell, that angels were better (coughs superior coughs) than demons, he was convinced of this when he was in Heaven and even afterwards, the idea was still too deeply rooted on his mind to be completely gone. Aziraphale found it very hard to see Heaven's wrongs and the only person who was capable to notice them was Crowley, who well, yeah, is a demon, but not like that.
While Crowley discovered Heaven's faults with his own very fall (let me remind you he fell because he dared to ask why all the creation should be destroyed despite being so young), and refused to be part of the system following blindly all of its rules and commands, Aziraphale has not seen these faults yet. He still sees Heaven as the good guys, the morally superior side of the coin. He still sees demons as the bad guys, even if Crowley has presented him a wide scale of grays.
This black and white worldview is what is holding him back. He still believes that Heaven can do no wrong, while Crowley can no longer ignore the truth, how both sides are equally bad for humanity, and therefore none of them is a good choice at all.
When Crowley says "You can't leave this bookshop."
Yeah, he's talking about them (you can't leave me), but he's also talking about all the good things they've done on Earth as "neutral agents", not an angel working strictly under Heaven's commands or a demon following Hell's orders. The bookshop is the place where they meet, but also their "home base", the place to return as they keep working "on their own" with Humanity's best interests in mind, and only that.
Crowley is trying to make him see that he's leaving a life in which they could simply work for what they considered to be truly right together. It feels more like a "you can't stopping helping them" "you can't stop doing what it's needed to be done" "you can't leave them" "you can't leave me".
And when Aziraphale responds "Nothing lasts forever."
It's just another proof of this black and white mentallity he can't scape. The bookshop was just a replacement for Heaven, something that made him feel like he was still part of the good guys, even if he technically wasn't anymore. The bookshop was just a stage he needed to overcome between his exile and his return to Heaven, not something he truly wanted to mantain for himself.
Aziraphale never lost his faith in Heaven, he never felt the disappointment Crowley felt and never saw it as it truly was. He still believes in what Heaven symbolizes, and is not capable of fully questioning it yet.
When he talks about changing things, he's not even aware of all that it is to change or how deeply rooted the problem really is, and Crowley tells him so. Crowley is so hurt by Aziraphale because he thought they were way pass all of that, that they were above all of the Heaven vs Hell bullshit, and he thought that doing good in their own way was enough for Aziraphale. But it was not.
Crowley sees that what they've done is not enough for Aziraphale and it will never be because they are not in Heaven. He discovers that there's nothing good enough for Aziraphale to feel satisfied with what they have because Crowley is not enough. He's a demon after all, and true goodness lays in Heaven.
And when Crowley kisses him, and Aziraphale says "I forgive you."
Crowley finds out that his kiss, something that I personally read as a fragment of what they could have if they remained "neutral", of all the possibilities they have yet to explore, all the feelings they could stop hidding; is misunderstood by Aziraphale as some sort of tempting act????
Crowley must have poured that kiss with all the hope he had for a better future, a future together. He must have pushed all his fears to the side, just for one second, so he could finally express how he truly felt, how deeply in love he was, and Aziraphale reads this as some sort of trick that needs to be forgiven?
Boy, I'm so very much with Crowley in this.
I've seen people commenting on how manipulative Crowley must have been perceived by Aziraphale (in his POV, u know), but I don't think he forgives Crowley for his "failed attempt of manipulation". I don't think he sees this that way in the slightest to be honest.
I think the "I forgive you" can have:
A very simple meaning "I forgive you for kissing me like that without my consent". You guys know Aziraphale could come up with something like this, he's still an angel after all.
A deeper meaning just for the gays who love to torture themselves as much as they can "I forgive you for leaving me and choosing your own path." I can see Aziraphale considering Crowley's desicion as something selfish, and despite everything, he wants to let him know that it's okay, he can choose his own happiness above whatever thing they currently have.
Of course, everyone can have their opinion and we can all disagree, but I think some people don't properly understand just how deep into that Black and White worldview Aziraphale still is. He still considers demons to be inferior to angels, even if he knows they are just as complex as human beings. This is a deeply rooted "truth" he can't simply shake off like Crowley did, and until he does, he won't be able to choose Crowley and be happy.

FANFIC REC: trans H or L
She Feels So Good (Louis knows that voice. Harry’s used that voice in his ear more times than Louis can count, said such sweet, naughty things while popping a hip out and pressing up against Louis. All while wrapping the words in that voice. That’s the voice that comes out when Harry’s in a skirt, nails done and gestures soft and flirty. That’s the voice Louis is a sucker for every time, even now when it’s coming from a prerecorded segment playing off a monitor.) (4k)
Nothing's the same as it was (save you) ( Harry gets dressed. Then Louis comes home. There's a she in there, somewhere.) (3k)
i can't wait to see what you find (Louis finds himself entering an interesting sexual arrangement with a happy, committed couple. He gets more than he bargained for.) (12k)
Everything You Do (“You like feeling like my girl?” Louis wasn’t asking just about sex.His words weren’t harsh, Harry realized. The hands on his back and in his hair were still there, still moving. Louis just sounded — he just sounded like he was asking Harry to explain.“Yeah,” whispered Harry. He hadn’t felt this fragile in Louis’s arms for as long as he could remember. Like Louis could prod him too hard and he’d shatter. Collapse into dust. But Louis kept not prodding him, not pushing him. He just kept holding him, surely, like Louis knew he wouldn't break him.) (6K)
Ever Since I Tried Your Way (In 1949 Harry left his bride at the altar, running away from the only life he'd known. When a kindhearted farmer offers him a ride in his truck and a place to sleep the two find themselves inexplicably drawn together. Isolated on Louis' farm with nobody but a field of dairy cows to intrude, the men are finally able to explore the parts of themselves they've spent their lives hiding away.) (25k)
Take from me my lace (and lipstick too heavy for summer) (Harry likes to wear lace and lipstick. Louis lets him.) (1k)
Watermelon Sugar High (Resting right between his legs, the long slice open and juicy and red and his fingers pressed just so, it looked to his wine-hazy brain like a cunt. Like it could be /his/ cunt.) (2k)
violence of my own touch (Louis hasn’t said anything, but Harry knows something is wrong. Harry’s rut had ended a few days ago, and Louis had kept him under as best as he could.) (5k)
Little Black Dress (Harry wears a Little Black Dress to a party on a dare, Louis sees him from across the room and it’s love at first sight.) (1k)
nobody knows like me (Harry does his best to cope with a secret life in the summer of '74.) (3k)
Are You Gonna Be My Girl? ("You…" Harry touches his own mouth, teasing. "You ate her pussy?""Yeah." Louis stops playing with Harry's cock and gropes his arse again, pulling his cheeks apart and pushing them back together over the thong. "Want me to eat yours?"Louis reenacts his first time, and Harry wants to be his good girl.) (7k)
you're ripped at every edge, but you're a masterpiece ( The one where Harry is soft and pretty but doesn't see it and Louis just wants to love him the way he deserves.) (50k)
Turns Out She's a Devil (In-Between the Sheets) (Louis Tomlinson, aged 27, will be found dead in a hotel room in Italy come morning. He feels this way, from how weak his knees are, how quickly his pulse is racing, the way he can't breathe . He's got his hand clutched over where his heart is stuttering against his ribs in an uneven tattoo, back pressed against the hotel room door to try and steady himself. It's all rather dramatic, really, and if he saw someone else being this overcome he'd drag them for filth. But it's not someone else, it's him that's gasping for air like a lovesick dope because that's exactly what he is.) (3k)
Love is a word, you gave it a name (After two decades in brutal show business, Louis Tomlinson is trying to restore his tranquility of mind in the peace of Northern Europe where the sun barely sets, Maria's bar is always open, and young Harry has an irresistible spark in his eyes.) (158K)

l'aiha and thancred get a nice bit of their own healing done in shb too, regarding each other. that and post-heavensward when they find out what happened to minfilia are the two instances where they engage one another, which they don't do almost at all otherwise because of the ARR ifrit thing. (l'aiha's mad he left her alone and thancred's mad HE left her alone) they don't dislike each other by the end of ARR but they really can't breach this first, horrific impression.
and even in hw patches they don't really talk TO each other. they sense each other's deepening jadedness and mourning, and they speak up in each other's defense several times, but they still can't really FACE each other. but they see themselves in each other, and they both wish someone would understand how much pain they're in. so l'aiha speaks up in thancred's defense with emmanellain, and they both do so in a few other scenes as well throughout hw patches and stb.
but the ironic thing about shb is they're NOT relating to each other this time, and it causes them to engage for the first time in 4 (or 9 in thancred's case) years, but it's not friendly. l'aiha is furious about how thancred handles ryne, and thancred is furious about how l'aiha handles emet-selch. their animosity grows worse and worse until, finally...
they both realize how fucking wrong they were. thancred about ryne, l'aiha about emet-selch. and neither of them take any satisfaction out of the other's moment of revelation. nobody's happy. they expected even a LITTLE relief, and it's there, but it's dull compared to just how overwhelmingly SAD they are for each other.
and i think that's when they both figure out they've ALWAYS been sad for each other. l'aiha was mad about ryne in part because thancred was denying himself healing. thancred was mad about emet-selch because he was scared he'd hurt l'aiha. even after ARR, when they're not upset about ifrit anymore but keep their distance from one another, it's out of concern FOR EACH OTHER.
thancred believes l'aiha hates him because he left her with ifrit. l'aiha believes she's responsible for the bad mental state that led thancred to being possessed by lahabrea. they think they're only capable of hurting each other, and stay away because they don't WANT to do that.
and after shb, after ryne and emet-selch, they can't stand to watch the other still, still hurting after all this time. they're not friends, exactly, but they remind me of like... two people who found each other in rehab. their relationship is intrinsically built up with a desire to see the other overcome their tragedies and heal; they have seen each other's souls in a way you only really do when you've both crawled out of hell together. they can do the periodic friendly banter throughout endwalker. they scold the SHIT out of each other about their martyrdom in ultima thule (thancred deleting himself, l'aiha sending the scions away from the endsinger). it's still kind of hostile when even just a little stress sparks, but they know now it comes from a place of wanting the other to MAKE IT. to LIVE.
and i'm just. feelings about them. they're not friends but they're deeply important to each other. and maybe, slowly, in seeing how angry they get when the other undermines themselves, MAYBE one day they'll realize they can stop doing it to themselves. they can stop making it worse in this delusional hope that it will save someone else. they can realize they're being, for each other, what they need themselves. ough. they're like soldiers who met in war and they're home now and what they have is utterly untranslatable into words. it's unspeakable. it's love and anger and kinship and hatred and they will never untangle their souls from one another no matter how good or bad it gets. they're fused like metals in a forge.

(Part 1) Do you think Beth will be exactly like Dawn or Pamela, or even Alpha? She is so much associated with villains (not only, but still...), that I sometimes wonder that the "Bethyl romance" in 4x13 is all we ever get? It will be more about that Daryl will help Beth to overcome her demons... They show now Lydia being able to move on from Henry with Elijah, that I don't think a romantic relationship between Beth (or what she became) is what Daryl wants anymore. It will be more about healing
Tumblr media
Well, I mostly disagree with your analysis here.
Don't get me wrong, I love that you're looking at dialogue and symbolism and trying to draw conclusions. And I think you're barking up the right tree. But I just interpret it differently.
Beth has definitely been associated with villains. I think that has everything to do with the CRM and that she'll be a part of that organization when she appears. Because they'll be seen by Daryl and TF as "evil," I think that will disturb those who knew Beth and they'll wonder if she's like Dawn. But that doesn't mean she actually is. Though it may appear so on the surface, I think she'll be something more like a double agent, pretending to be simpatico on the surface, but secretly working to undermine them.
Of course we can't know for certain. It's just a vibe I get from all the symbolism I've analyzed. I do think she'll be a leader of some kind, because of Gorman's line about there someday being another leader who isn't Dawn.
But no, overall I don't think she'll TRULY be like Dawn or Alpha.
I disagree that she would come to believe in and live Dawn's philosophy of things. Most of us have come to believe that her "I get it now" probably referred to her truly understanding the negative basis and results of Dawn's philosophy, which was why she stabbed Dawn: to try and put an end to it. She saw that, even though Dawn tried to convince Beth that she was a good person and doing the best she could by her people, when it came right down to it, she was still power hungry and manipulative, as evidenced by how she tried to force Noah to stay.
So, that specifically shows that she DOESN'T adhere to Dawn's philosophy.
Now, I do think the way she approached things in the hallway at Grady was flawed. She came directly at Dawn and embraced a violent act, and that got her shot. I think she'll learn from that. That she'll still fight injustice, but will do it in a different way. Perhaps under the radar and less direct (hence the secret agent persona).
As for Bethyl, I do think there might be some demons she needs to overcome--being left behind by her family, if nothing else--and that Daryl might help her with that, as she once helped him. I think that would bring the entire arc full circle in a really beautiful way.
But I also do 100% believe Bethyl will be a thing. Just the fact that they put Beth in the ep 18 montage the way they did is practically proof in my mind (even though it's really just strong evidence).
Even putting aside what Daryl wants, or what Beth wants, and anything else story-related, I can promise you the writers would not have done everything they've done, set up the arc and the romance in S4/S5, waited all this time, put tons of clues in, and then gone to the trouble to write Beth/Emily back into the story...only to NOT have Bethyl happen.
Neither Gimple nor Kang would ever do that.
Put simply, if she's coming back, Bethyl is happening. End of story. If she doesn't come back, then obviously not, and it's a moot point anyway. But I'm gonna point you to that ep 18 montage one more time. 😉
Sure, sometimes writers set up things they don't pay off, but guess what happens to them? They don't get to write anymore shows, and the audience hates them for it. Check out LOST, the end of Dawson's Creek, or reviews on the final Sookie Stackhouse book if you don't believe me.
But we have ample evidence that the writers have planned this since S4, if not earlier, and that they've kept Emily in reserve all these years so she could return to this role. In short, I'm not worried in the slightest. Bethyl is very close, now. I can't wait! Xoxo! 🍁💖

AHHHH the next chapter possibly being party au makes me so excited omg!!!!! i desperately need to know who is at the door eek! also v excited to see what if so you have anything planned for Charles, Alex, & George to rekindle, i hope we get an interaction with Charles & Alex caring for lando after finding out and overcoming any hurt & George trying to stop them :(
also curious on what in your mind you would say most of the drivers think is going on with lando during the driver’s parade? like do they believe he is actually sick or like George that he is just hungover or are they kind of like Alex where they think something else is going on?
anyways sorry this got kind of long!! just love the fic a lot & hope you’re having a good weekend & life is treating you well!! :-)
Thank you for your lovely message 🥺 I hope all is well with you and you've had a good weekend!
There is definetly some surprises in the next chapter, I'm setting up the ending so I'm taking my time working on this because I have a clear idea of what I want to happen 👀
As for the other drivers and if they catch on to anything, I have a few thoughts.
Most of the drivers just believe that he is sick. They know Lando on a surface level, but not in a way that they would notice big changes in his behaviour. Some probably just think he's a young adult being a young adult, and as long as he isn't crashing into them at the weekend, they get on with their jobs. They care about him like an acquaintance and would be sad to see him hurt, but they don't know much beyond what they see
Lewis and Seb probably notice something is off. They probably put it down to Lando being like they were at that age, hungry for wins and feeling the lows of the sport on a very personal level. They might know Lando has changed a bit, but on that day, they genuiely think he is sick
George is angry. He knows something is wrong but he is also hurt. He is hurt by the things Lando has said and done, and in trying to protect himself, he lets his anger take over and he ignores what is in front of him despite others pointing out that something worse is going on. George deep down knows Lando is drowning with something but he has his own defences up now and that stops him being the one to reach out. If Lando needs help, he has to be the one to reach out
Alex and Charles know something is deeply wrong but they don't know what else to do. They've tried to be there and talk to him, they've been burned and pushed away and still reach out, but they don't know how to break through to Lando and show him that they care. Thats why Alex tries to talk to Daniel because he knows this isn't their Lando, this isn't their friend and something horrible has happened and he wants to help
Max walks a line of ignorance. He knows something pushed Lando to start drinking and partying, but Max is very black and white. He was raised to focus on his sport, and that you can't have mental struggles because thats a weakness. So he doesn't notice that Lando is suffering, he just sees his friend finally being more out going and when Lando lashes out, he just shuts it down because he doesn't know how to deal those types of things. He'd be the type to walk away and then text Lando a few days later like 'You done being a bitch? Want to play FIFA at mine?', and the two of them fall abck into friendship without either of them talking about what happened or whats wong
