"Very good, soldier." A voice interrupted the brief silence that had fallen over the room "You have finally completed your training and you're now ready for a very special mission."
The man stepped forward, allowing himself to get a better view of the subject in front of him in the dimness of the room.
You lift your head, every breath coming out in labored breaths, as you took in the sight of the agent in front of you.
Today's training session has been more intense than any other one, demanding you to overuse your powers.
"And what that might be?" You breathed out, straightening your back
The agent smirked "Oh, I can guarantee that you'll love this mission." He sang
"Then I am ready for any mission the organization has for me." You replied, intrigued by all the mystery of this upcoming mission
"That's what we love to hear." The man declared "Then it's time for you to know the target of your mission."
The agent lifted his hand and held a file up, extending it for you to grab.
"You have all the details here." He declared
You curiously opened the file and peeked at the first page inside of it.
You swallowed the lump that formed in your throat unexpectedly but you tried to maintain your composure as the reality of your actions and the identity of your supposed target settled in.
"I can't." You mumbled, your voice betraying your inner turmoil, as you quickly passed the file back to your boss "This wasn't the deal."
The agent chuckled.
"This was very much the deal, young soldier." He coldly replied "As I can remember, this was the plan you asked our help for."
A shiver ran down your spine and the rhythm of your heartbeat quickened its pace.
"No." You hesitantly shook your head "I said I needed help to take my revenge on her." You explained "Not on all of them. Not on him."
"But why stop there?" The agent raised his eyebrow "Why would you want to take your revenge on just one person when you can take it on all of them?"
"Even if it was true, the others are still my family." You reasoned
"Your family?!" The agent shouted, immediately silencing you "Must I remind you that this so-called family of yours abandoned you, that they threw you away as if you were mere trash?"
"It doesn't matter, Sir." You held your ground "I am not going to kill the Avengers."
You blinked.
The agent grabbed you by your vest with such force that, for a second, you weren't able to process what was happening.
"Listen here, Y/N." The agent mockingly whispered your name "This is HYDRA, not that joke of an agency called S.H.I.E.L.D. you grew up in. Your mission is to kill all of the Avengers, starting with those traitors who are now called Natasha Romanoff and Bucky Barnes. Am I clear?"
"Sir..." You tried to conceal the fear you were feeling, failing miserably "Sir, this went too far. I'm sorry but I can't." You shook your head
A shout was heard and your body collided with the cold floor as the HYDRA agent pushed you with all his force.
"Y/N Yelena Romanova." The agent shouted "You have been ours long before Natalia Romanova decided to play pretend that she can be something she was never meant to be." He hissed "A mother."
You kept your mouth shut, too afraid of saying something that might anger the agent more as he continued speaking.
"She stole you from us, gave you another name, just for you to return on your own will to us and ask us for help to get your revenge on her." He reminded you "We took you in, trained you, gave you powers, all just so you could make her pay and now you dare to reject the opportunity to kill them?!"
"Sir, I just..." You tried to defend yourself
"Shut up!" He ordered "I am going to give you three hours to think about your answer just to show you that we can have some understanding towards our subjects and when I'll summon you back to me, I hope I won't regret giving you a chance."
You nodded "Yes, Sir!"
"Now disappear." He pointed with his head towards the door
You stood up from the ground and dusted your clothes before making your way to your assigned room.
-
~~~~~
Your heart pounded in your chest as you sniffled your fear away.
This was what you wanted after all.
This was what you needed.
You needed revenge and this was the only way you could achieve your goal.
Machines hummed and buzzed around you but you tried to not mind their noise as you were keeping your calm demeanor as a façade to protect yourself.
"Alright, subject." A man dressed in a white coat looked at you "Are you ready for this?"
You nodded, determination shining in your tired eyes "As ready as I can be. If this will help me prove to my mother that I can be useful too, then hurry up and do it."
"She's ready." Another man's voice was heard from somewhere inside the room but you couldn't tell exactly who spoke as the restrainents that kept you glued to the cold metallic table stoped you from looking
The man with the white coat pressed a few buttons and in a fraction of a second, pain flooded through your body as waves of electricity swirled around you, sending shocks flooding through your body.
Time seemed to stay still as you screamed out in agony out of pure reflex, your body spasming with each shockwave you received.
In that moment, buried memories resurfaced inside your mind.
You remembered the happier times and a pang of sadness weighed heavy on your heart.
But just as the good memories came to the front of your mind, so did the bad ones, reminding you of the true reason why you came to HYDRA for help.
The Avengers hate HYDRA and HYDRA hates the Avengers.
You hoped that by joining and serving the rival organization, you could make Natasha realize how wrong she was for treating you like she did.
You hoped to make them feel betrayed and rejected.
Just as you felt.
Darkness enveloped you, and your weakened body stopped spasming, but one thing remained clear as daylight to you.
You will take your revenge on your family for their betrayal by serving their greatest enemy, HYDRA.
~~~~~
You stared at the cement ceiling of your cell.
Your thirst for revenge was just as present as it was four months ago when you joined HYDRA.
The agent was right.
You wanted to kill the Avengers and make them pay for all of your suffering.
But still, one thing made you hesitate.
You sighed.
A memory of a smiling Tanya came to your mind and you remembered that she was as innocent as you were in this whole ordeal.
She deserved to grow up surrounded by the love of her parents as she has never done anything else other than loving you like her older sister who you actually were.
Then you thought of Bucky and the last memory you shared with him.
That fateful night, he had bought you a journal, hoping that it would help you manage your feelings better if you wrote them on the paper.
Comparing him to Natasha now, you realize that he was more of a parent to you than Natasha ever was.
How are you supposed to kill him?
Your door burst open and a security agent, who is in charge of maintaining order, walked inside your room.
"The boss calls you to him." He announced in a bored voice
You nodded "Tell him I am coming."
-
You stepped in the silence of the private office, allowing your senses to highen, as your eyes darted aimlessly around the room.
"I have been waiting for you." The voice of the man who had been in charge of your training was heard "Welcome!"
"I would thank you, Sir." You put your hands behind your back "But here doesn't exist such thing as being welcomed anywhere."
The man laughed.
"I see you learned the lesson." He smiled pleased "I hope you bring good news to me."
You kept quiet for a few moments, searching for a way to put your decision into words in such a way that HYDRA wouldn't decapitate you in a matter of seconds.
"So?" The man asked again, impatient
"Sir..." You began, taking your time to form every word that came out of your mouth "I am forever grateful for the chance you offered me and the resources you put at my disposal to achieve my ambitions."
The man slightly smiled, knowing that he had won.
"The Avengers have done me so many wrongdoings that I lost count of them." You continued "And after the time I have been granted to carefully choose the course I want for the next events to take, I came with the answer."
The man in front of you leaned backward in his chair, his body visibly relaxed as he waited for your final decision.
"I will..." You took a deep breath, steeling yourself "Not kill the Avengers, Sir. I am sorry, but I can't. They're my family no matter what."
The HYDRA agent shot up from his chair as his eyes went wide with shock.
"What did you say?!" He shouted, completely taken by surprise by your decision
"I said that I will not kill the Avengers." You repeated "I meant it when I said that everything has gone too far, Sir. Yes, I did want to take revenge on them, specifically my mother, but killing them was never my intention. All I wanted was to make them feel betrayed and hurt by becoming a HYDRA agent. Nothing more, nothing less."
"You foolish, lab rat!" The man sneered and pointed his finger at you "We created you! If you're here today it is all thanks to us! Our scientists were the ones who were in charge of creating you out of almost nothing! Now you dare defy us? You have the audacity to bite the hand that fed you?"
You looked around the room, trying to avoid the man's furious gaze.
"Please understand, Sir." You tried to reason "My heart and conscience don't let me murder the persons that saved me from hell and I realized that I made a mistake to return to the hell from where I've been rescued all these years ago."
The man calmly hummed "Hmm, so that's what you call it? A mistake?"
You braced yourself for what could happen next as you watched the man wave his hand at the shadows behind his back.
"I would call it a blessing." He said "You returned where you belong. To your true family and if your feelings stop you from taking action against your kidnappers, then we will help you gather the courage you need."
You shook your head, understanding what the agent's words meant.
"No..." You breathed out fearfully
But it was already too late.
-
Tanya sat on the carpet placed in the middle of the living room, playing with her toys, as she tried to distract herself from all the yelling that was happening in her surroundings.
"I am tired of your ignorance!" Bucky shouted at his wife, after he came back from another failed search mission where he tried to find you
"I haven't done anything wrong!" Natasha yelled back, her brain blocked in a phase of denial
"You did!" Bucky shouted "You did! You drove our child away! How could you do something like this, Natasha?!"
Natasha froze in place as her shoulders fell down.
She couldn't believe what she just heard Bucky say.
She refused to believe it.
"Natasha?" The woman asked hurt "Since when I am 'Natasha' for you?"
"Ever since Y/N went missing because of your recklessness and pride." Bucky shouted "My Natalia would have never done that to her own child. So, therefore, you are not my Natalia. You are not that girl I dreamed of having a family with."
"James, please." Natasha whispered, tears forming in her eyes "I am still the same Natalia you met so long ago."
Natasha reached to grab Bucky's hand but he pulled it away.
"Don't touch me." He said in a raised tone
Natasha sighed disappointed and nodded, pulling her hands back.
"You're mad." Natasha said "I get it."
"Mad is far from how I feel right now, Natasha." Bucky lowered his tone "I feel desperate because I am unable to find the child that has been entrusted in my protection and who knows where she is right now and what happened to her. She's just a child. You are the only one who failed to see this."
"James, just give me the chance to explain myself." Natasha pleaded "I beg you."
Bucky shook his head.
"I don't know what you have done to my Natalia but you are not the girl that made me remember how it feels to be human again." The man took a few steps backward before rushing out of the room, leaving his wife behind
Natasha fell on the couch, letting out a deep sigh, as she placed her head in her hands.
Tanya, that have been silently observing the argument between her parents, stood up, her toys forgotten on the soft carpet as she walked towards her mother.
"Mama?" Tanya cautiously called her mother
"What is it, baby?" Natasha sniffed, raising her head to look at her daughter
"Why hasn't Y/N come back yet?" Tanya innocently asked, still struggling to grasp the complexity of the situation "Is she still mad at us?"
Natasha thought about how to explain to a 5-year-old what was happening.
"I think she still is, Tatiana." Natasha lifted Tanya and sat her on her lap
"And Papa is sad because he couldn't find my sister, isn't he?" The little girl questioned sadly
Natasha guiltly nodded "Yes, sweetheart. That's why Mama and Papa are fighting."
Little Tanya looked down at her lap, her tiny eyebrows furrowing, as her mind tried to put her feelings into words.
Natasha gave Tanya time to speak at her own pace, not rushing her.
After a few minutes, Tanya looked up again at Natasha with eyes filled with tears.
"But Mama..." Tanya's high-pitched voice trembled "Why did you make Y/N go away? She is my sister. You never get mad at me cause I am your baby but Y/N is your baby too and you made her feel very sad. You always made her cry and I miss playing with her. She's the best big sister in the whole world."
A stray tear fell down Natasha's left cheek.
"Can you bring Y/N back home, Mama?" Tanya sniffed "Can you not get mad at her always? If Tanya is Mama's baby, then Y/N is Mama's baby too."
"I'm not sure, baby girl." Natasha let out a shaky breath, realizing her mistake "Mama messed up big time when she scolded Y/N/N."
"I know that Mama did bad." Tanya said "But Y/N is ours and she's my sister. She needs to live here with us."
"And she will, baby." Natasha said determined "I promise she will."
Tanya snuggled closer to Natasha's chest and sighed contently.
"I love you, Tanya." Natasha quietly declared
Tanya kissed Natasha's cheek before she quickly stood up and ran upstairs to her room.
Natasha stared at the open door that Tanya just walked out through, deeply lost in thoughts.
Her talk with Tanya had helped Natasha realize one important thing.
That Y/N was her baby no matter what and that she had made the biggest mistake in her life by doing what she did to Y/N.
And yet one question remains.
Where is Y/N?
-
"Soldat!" A voice said "Your orders are to kill the Avengers, our greatest enemies, and I want the heads of the traitors known as Natasha Romanoff and Bucky Barnes."
The man looked at the masked soldier he had created with pride, knowing that now, they would be invincible.
"Do you understand the command?" He asked sternly
"I am ready to comply." An emotionless voice replied
You stood tall, the black suit and gray vest you were wearing appeared even darker in the shadows of the private office as the mask that covered more than half of your face, perfectly concealed your identity.
The man smirked and pointed with his head towards the door.
You turned around and started walking.
Your mission?
To kill the Avengers.

A buzz raps against your bedside table, the sound officially pulling you out of your morning stir. With bleary eyes, you reach across the bed to pull your phone off the charger. The movement brings you out of the warmth and comfort your sheets provide, hence making you shiver once your arm hits the cold air surrounding your room.
After pulling the phone under the covers you shut the alarm off, unlocking it to view the notifications sent since you’ve fallen asleep.
The door creeks open, whoever opening it trying to be quiet but the door’s old age didn’t allow them to do so. Your roommate peeks her head in, eyes landing on your curled position in bed.
“My word it’s freezing in here,” she starts, moving out of the doorframe to check the thermostat, “if I woke you up, I am so sorry—I was going to call maintenance to check in on your room, wanted to come see if it was still freezing.”
As if on cue you shiver again, pulling the blanket higher until it brushes your chin, “it is.”
A grim expression comes into her face, she apologizes again, “I’ll call them now. They should be here tonight.”
You voice your appreciation, staying under the sheets until the numbers on your clock read noon. It was a lazy morning, all movements were slow and relaxed. The shower was turned until steam came off the top, the burning feeling decidedly better than the chill running throughout your entire body.
There were plans written on your phone’s calendar, the moment tonight a result from the events from the previous week. There had been more plans since three first meeting at the cafe, each moment spent together better than the last. Since the cafe, they’ve met you wherever it was that you’d like.
Whether it be at a bookstore, where the two whispered reassurances over your fretting on them paying for your books. Even at times when you three had colliding schedules they still made an effort, it showed in how they took a walk with you by the water. The ocean was rough, waves crashing and pushing against another, but the sound it made was entirely peaceful. You remember where your walk ended, where you three stopped so you could watch the water stretch and collide with the orange and pink sky.
“Beautiful.”
Wanda had whispered close to your ear, body leaned so close to yours, chest pushed up against your back. You had welcomed the advances from her, letting the motion also push you into Natasha until you three were cuddled up together. It brought a smile to your face to experience such a moment. It was when you decided it was best to share the news about signing off of the paper work on Tuesday. This all transpired a day ago on Sunday, meaning that discussion was happening tonight.
Remembering that this event is what you were getting ready for brought a multitude of emotions to run about. Any word within the synonym group to embarrassed and excitement would be hitting the mark on what you were feeling.
You’ve been keeping your friend in the loop, sending her text updates often and feeling thankful for her support. Shes aware of what’s transpiring tonight, her contact information appearing in your phone as you were finishing getting ready.
“You know, your mind doesn’t really know the difference between fear and excitement. So I suggest convincing yourself that you’re only excited.”
“I think I’d only be successful in telling it how scared I am,” you say as you shut your drawer, “because I really can only see how this will affect me negatively.”
“Expand on that.”
There’s a pause in the conversation as you throw on a shirt, “I mean, we’re going to be talking about what I’m interested in doing intimately. What if they find me weird, or they don’t want to do what I’d like to do and get rid of me?”
“First I’ll say that all you’re feeling is valid. Second, you’re being too harsh on yourself. This past week you’ve been getting to know each other, and going off of how you’ve been rambling to me after, I’d say they’re going well. Let tonight play out, be in the moment.”
You hum your response, sitting beside your phone to slip your shoes on, “okay.”
“I’ve known them like what—like two years now? They’re going to work with you, not against you. But if at any point you feel uncomfortable, you’re always free to leave whenever and call me, or security. Your wellbeing comes first.”
“Thank you, seriously.”
Three beeping sounds emit after, your lock screen appearing. There were four numbers glaring back at you, eliciting a response to start walking towards their apartment complex.
The map on your phone was confusing, stating that their location was to the left of you when it was across the street.
Natasha stood at the entrance, holding the door for you to step in. The inside was simple, light blue wallpaper lining the walls. You’ve become awkward, the feeling instigate by the nerves spiking being along with her. She lets you go through the second door first after unlocking it, letting the heavier door swing close behind her, “How was your walk?“
“Cold. It’s rather chilly today.”
Natasha walks in front to lead you up the staircase, “not a fan of the cold?”
“No, I much prefer the 70s, the mix between cold and hot.”
Three staircases later and the numbers 302 are staring back at you. Their door has a wreath outside, one decorated with red florals. Wanda comes to greet the door, letting the both of you in, even moving to hang your coat.
“Glad you got here safely,” she starts, “it gets dark so soon now that we’re rolling into winter.”
You’re entirely too thankful that they’ve begun to tell you where you can go and what you can do. They’ve opened up their home to you, but even then you weren’t sure if it was okay to sit down on the couch yet.
“Would you like a drink? I have water, tea?”
“Oh that’s alright, I’ll be fine.”
She pats your shoulder, “it’s alright if you’d like one, I’m offering.”
“Tea?”
She smiles, moving into the kitchen after. Natasha had sat across from you on another couch, laptop settled on her lap. It gave you a moment to look around, to take in their home for the first time. It was a combination of clean and messy. They had papers thrown over the cushioned footrest, shoes set carefully by the door. A pair of broken glasses were set on the tv mantle, and a tall vase beside it with tulips. Wanda comes in, setting the hot cup on the table in front of you.
“Do you like the flowers,” she asks, noticing where your gaze was transfixed, “natasha got them from a coworker.”
“Any specific reason?”
Natasha looks up from her laptop momentarily, meeting Wanda’s gaze. She speaks up, “I got asked out.”
“Oh,” you say, “at least you got nice flowers.”
Wanda laughs at the way Natasha squirms, “yeah, nice flowers. Do you need anything else?”
You shake your head, waving her off. She leaves again momentarily, the item appearing in her hand that makes you nervous again. The papers.
It was a conversation you wanted to have, you all wanted to have, but the discussion of such intimate acts felt more embarrassing than acting them out. They notice the way you’ve begun to look away, focus set outside the window.
You notice Natasha setting her MacBook away in your peripheral vision.
“Kitten,” Natasha starts, the new nickname rolling off of her lips instantly catching your attention, “are you okay with that?”
You appreciate her asking, the way her tone went soft after witnessing your reaction. It wasn’t unpleasant, it held the complete opposite reaction. The action of you nodding yet again has her speaking up, “words.”
“Yes, that’s okay.”
Natasha smiles at you, the sight easing your nerves. Wanda’s knee lands on the edge of the couch, leaning her body onto it until she’s sitting down.
“You sent these to us a day ago and we’ve reviewed it all, signed our parts as well. We’ll have those papers in my office if you ever want or need to view them while you’re over here,” she explains, setting a few pages down, “how’re you feeling about the next few?”
“Good, shy.”
“That’s alright. Tell if if you need to stop, okay?”
She’s begun to list them off, each one bringing a tinge of red to your cheeks. Your hand has come to fidget with your necklace, agreeing with the statements Wanda was reading off.
“It’s quite funny how most everything lines up with our responses.”
“Really?”
She hums, handing the papers over to Natasha, “you’re interested in all of the kinks we’re interested in, like your exhibition and choking one.”
“Wow,” you say, fingers tugging at your necklace, pulling it until the chain can’t be moved any further out.
“Did that make you nervous just now?”
Natasha asks, noticing the habit of fidgeting with a necklace arising any time a difficult situation arose. You let go of it, moving to hold the warm glass, the scent of the chamomile tea rushing to you.
“It did, but that’s only because I don’t like direct conversations. I’m better when things play out and you’re lost in the moment, but I understand this needs to be talked about.”
“We can call it a night then. If you’d like you can stay over, whatever you’d like. Please let us order an Uber though if you decide to go home, Natasha was having a fit about you walking home the other day.”
Wanda throws a look at Natasha, pressing a kiss to your head as she walks by. Natasha takes the jab, grabbing at her computer again, “and I won’t apologize for that.“
“If I were to stay tonight, where would I sleep?”
“With us,” Wanda says from the other room, “you’re not sleeping on these couches and certainly not the ground—unless you’d like to.”
“Could I stay over then?”
Wanda laughs, “you’re so sweet, of course you can. You can borrow either of our clothes, world knows how uncomfortable it is to sleep in jeans.”
Natasha shows you to the bathroom, clicking on the light so she can set the pajamas you had picked out on the counter. It was small, but larger than the one you had back with your roommates. It smelled like them, their scents overwhelming your senses when you walked in.
“The shower handles weird to use, so I’ll start that for you. I’ll leave the door unlocked just in case, okay?”
The knobs were weird. There were three of them, one for hot water, cold water, and the third to turn the pressure to come from the lower or higher nozzle. You’re thankful for her to figure it out, setting it where it was perfect. The first temperature was entirely too cold, apparently the temperature Natasha showers with in the morning.
She let you be, shutting the door and leaving you alone. All the options you had for soap were theirs. The bottles read “vanilla,” explaining why their scent was sweet. You shivered when the cold air hit, missing the warmth the water provided. The nightgown you chose was comfortable, the silk fabric to blame for that.
Wanda was still in the living room, a lamp on beside her. The room beside her had the light turned on, rustling coming from inside.
“Could you help me?”
“With what?”
“I couldn’t figure out how to turn off the shower, I’m sorry.”
Wanda sets the book down, moving past you, “you’re too kind, don’t worry about that. You can wait with Natasha, she’s already in the room.”
You assume the room with the light on is their bedroom. Natasha was leaning on the side, feet kicked off the side of the bed. She closed the drawer, sitting further back on the bed. You grow nervous again, standing in the doorway awkwardly.
“What’re you thinking about?”
“When will of it will start?”
“Whenever you’d like it to.”
A deep breath comes from you, your finger playing with the edge of your dress, “could we start tonight?”
“What’d you say? Speak a bit louder.”
“Could we start tonight? Start small?”
Her body relaxes, gesturing for you to come closer. There’s a slight tickling sensation as her hand brushes against the back of your thigh, lifting you to straddle her waist.
“You don’t have to do anything. Just relax and only speak if we ask you.”
It’s not difficult to listen to her when her hand brushes against your back in such a manner. Wanda wonders in later, taking to Natasha about something but it all became background noise. It almost lulls you to sleep, your mind on the cusp of falling into the dream world until Natasha had patted your leg.
“We’re turning the lights off, can you lay down for me?”
You rest between them, your back against Natasha’s. Wanda faces you, her hands brushing gently against your cheek. It only took a second for Natasha to begin snoring, her deep breaths hitting your back, making you scoot closer into Wanda.
“She bothering you? If we need to, I can make her sleep on the couch.”
“Oh no that’s alright, I like her here.”
Wanda smiles, leaning to press a kiss to your lips, “me too. Now sleep, it’s late.”
You adjust, finding the most comfortable spot to be resting your face under hers.
𓂃𓂃𓂃•𓂃𓂃𓂃
It’s driving you crazy, feeling her hands rub all over you but not where you need it the most. She’s been kissing you breathlessly, all on purpose so she can hear your shaky gasps of air.
“Please,” you beg, pushing your hips up, “touch me.”
“Where?”
You grab her hand, leaving it resting over your clothed cunt, “here please, I need it so bad.”
Her fingers push your underwear aside, not giving you any warning as she pushes one in, “you’re soaked.”
A whine tumbles from you, hands gripping tighter onto her wrist, “more, not enough.”
She listens, pressing another in, the stretch making you whine louder. You beg each time, grinding down onto her fingers. Each thrust pulling a, ‘more,’ from you, stating how you can take it.
“Does it feel good, kitten? You’re gripping my fingers.”
“Kitten?”
You gasp, eyes shooting open to find Natasha above you. She’s leaning over, using her hand by your head to balance herself. Her other hand was on your shoulder, presumably used to shake you awake.
“Are you alright? You were mumbling and moving around, I wanted to make sure you weren’t having a bad—“
“Touch me.”
“What.”
You clamber back, twisting your body away from hers, “nevermind.”
“No, tell me what you just said.”
“Touch me.”
It was quieter than the first time you said it but Natasha heard it.
“Remember the safe word colors we talked about, I want you to use those, okay?”
Her fingers hold your chin, moving you so you make eye contact with her, “use your words and look me in the eyes.”
“Okay,” you say, voice airy.
The moment she’s leaning down to kiss you, you’re reaching for more. She’s meeting you where you’re at, tilting her head to deepen the kiss. The sounds you make drive her crazy, they’re intoxicating. Her lips move down to your neck, biting at your collarbones to make you gasp.
“Hnn-!”
“Such a needy little thing,” she mouths, pulling your dress down to press a kiss to your nipple, “who knew you’d be so adorable.”
It’s the bare minimum and almost unreasonable for you to be so weak from it, but it’s her. The reason why you’re so reactive and wanting is because you want to feel her touch.
“Oh Natasha please,” you whine, grinding your hips down onto her clothed thigh. Natasha eyes the movement, groaning when she sees the wet patch you’ve left behind.
“Call me by my name and I’ll give you what you want.”
“Daddy, please.”
Your back is pushed into the pillows when she lifts your hips to slide your underwear completely off. You move to take off the dress but she stops you, “leave it on, you look beautiful.”
You really do, and she wishes you could see what she does. The strap handing off your shoulder, the bottom of it pooled around your waist. You moan so loud Natasha worries the neighbors might hear when her tongue licks up your folds.
“Shh,” she presses a kiss to your inner thigh, “be quiet.”
You try, the hand over your mouth your best attempt at keeping quiet. It becomes difficult to with how good she eats you out that you have to bite down on your fist. She praises you, telling you how good you listen to her.
You keen when she presses a finger in, the size of her fingers spreading you more than your dream had. Her hands on gripping your thighs open, amused at how shaky they get once she’s begun to thrust her finger in.
“Ah—! Not enough, please I need more.”
She’s compliant, already pushing another in and oh her view was heavenly. Your back arching, hips pushing onto her fingers. It’s a sight that almost makes her moan. Her own thighs grow wet seeing how you’re squirming from her ministrations. The moment she’s pushing another in, you’re already begging her to
“Oh yes please, please.”
“Fuck, you’re so sensitive.“
Her fingers are rough, pushing against your walls and angling them in a way that drives you closer to the edge. Her name is tumbling from your lips repeatedly like it’s all you know what to say.
“Don’t come without asking me,” she warns.
“Please let me come,” you gasp.
“Please who?”
“Please daddy,” you moan into your hand, “I’ll be good for you.”
“I know. I know you will. Go ahead.”
Her mouth latches onto your clit again, the stimulation being what you needed to reach your high. You pant, lungs heaving to get in air after. A smile making its way onto your face when Natasha slides up the bed to kiss your forehead.
“You did so well.”
“She did,” Wanda agrees from her position by the door, “I’m so proud.”

Tumblr media Tumblr media
*credit to owners*
When you came to the apartment, you realised that most of your stuff was still packed into bags.
“Oh, brilliant! I’ll go put these by the elevator.” Natasha explained as she took the two main bags, leaving you with your duffle bag.
You quickly threw in the few bottles of suppressants before silencing them with the last of your clothes in the cupboard, making sure not to shake the bag too loudly as you found Natasha by the elevator.
“All packed? Let’s go.” She smiled at you, walking you back into the Tower.
The elevator ride was silent, save for the music, and you carefully put your bags into your room with your duffle bag going straight to the ensuite bathroom. Natasha left you for a moment to put away your things, even if you tried to do it agonisingly slowly.
Eventually, two hours had passed and you finally packed away the toiletries, using the sink drain pipe and the stacks of toilet paper to hide your suppressants. You also knew that it was a new day, so you popped one of the strong ones and cleaned your face.
*Why oh why did you agree to meet? You could have avoided everything about this for another month before dying, according to Bruce.* You thought to yourself.
*Death was mercy in this cruel world.*
You finally came out of your room to find Natasha, Wanda, Yelena and Kate chatting in the kitchen. You crept past silently but not without the scent of your Alphas hitting you, making your hindbrain melt.
“Hey, Y/N. Come have some dinner.” Wanda offered as the other girls ate up the delicious-looking meal.
“No thanks.”
“It wasn’t a question.”
You looked up sharply at the Alpha witch, her glowing eyes dragging a chair behind you before pushing you towards the counter. She placed a bowl in front of you before magicking the spoon into your hand, giving you a quaint but sharp look. “Eat up. We need to talk, too.”
You watched Yelena and Kate stack their empty dishes before heading to the lounge, turning on the TV to watch Brooklyn Nine-Nine. The voices were quiet but you could still hear them if you focused and it was quiet around you.
“Y/N.”
Great, now the talking part.
“What?” You asked the redheaded Alpha, poking and prodding at your bowl.
“We need to introduce you to the rules.”
Natasha plucked the piece of paper off of the fridge before handing it to you, watching your eyes scan the top half of the page before giving it back.
“No.” She pushed it back towards you. “Read your own rules too.”
You had only skimmed through the rules of the Tower, the Alphas and the Betas, but now you know you had to properly read it:
Tower - No intentional hurt, physical or emotional - No ignoring, yelling or swearing - No power use to control - Traffic light system - No entering rooms w/o permission
Alphas - Deliver punishment - Respect Beta/Omega choice of punisher - Care above control - Stay close to Omega when out of Tower
Betas - Know when to interfere - Help Omegas where possible - Stop/Help Alphas were possible - Can follow any Omega rules if comfortable
Omegas - Look after yourself - Eat and Drink  - Bedtime rules (set by Alphas) - Do not leave Tower without an Alpha - Communication - Alert Alphas of drops/other problems - Accept punishment - Room = safe space
“I seem to have a lot more rules.” You commented annoyedly.
“You do because you are an Omega.” Natasha replied.
You slid the paper back over and she pinned it back on the fridge, with the two Alphas taking a seat on your sides.
“What?” You grumbled.
“Eat. As much as you can, nobody will force the whole bowl down your throat, but eat.” Wanda explained.
“I’m not hungry.” You retorted before you felt hands fall onto your waist.
“Hey!” You yelled as Natasha put you on her lap.
“Wanda?”
You looked at the witch, who took a spoonful of the dinner and held it in front of your lips. “Open.”
You shook your head and wriggled in Natasha’s lap. This wasn’t what you wanted. People touching you, forcing you to eat- you shut your eyes and pushed yourself out of Natasha’s arms.
“Y/N, come on-”
“Wait, Natasha.” Wanda cut her off, watching you sprint down to your room.
“I know that. Where do I know that?” The witch thought to herself.
She lightly brushed a finger over your mind to calm the pool, observing the memories that had been pushed to the front. She gasped, dropping the spoon into the bowl before she came to your closed door.
“Y/N, Y/N, please, I’m sorry. We didn’t know you were in HYDRA too.” She knocked fervently on the door.
“G-Go away!” You barked through.
“What’s happening?” Natasha asked her mate.
“In HYDRA, when somebody didn’t eat for a few days and HYDRA wanted to keep them… they would force them to eat.”
“What?”
“Tie us down, feed us by hand. It was a manipulation tactic, to get you to listen to at least one person regularly and form a bond. Then, they would abuse that bond until it was broken. Repeat the process until you don't trust anyone to feed you but yourself.”
Wanda turned back to the door. “‘Mega, please let us in… we can help.”
“I’m not just a fucking Omega!” You howled through the door.
The two of them sighed in defeat. “I’m sorry, malen’kiy. We didn’t know.”
“That’s the problem. You don’t bother to get to know.” You grumbled to yourself, but she heard it.
“Come on, let’s give her some space.” Natasha cooed, taking her mate into their room for some quality time.
Tumblr media
When you woke, you were still in a heap on the floor. The room was slowly darkening by the setting sun and you stood up, feeling utterly wrecked to the bone. You shuffled out of your room, not paying attention to anyone as you grabbed some water from the fridge.
“Y/N-”
“Don’t talk to me.” You clipped Wanda’s words off quickly.
“We need to talk about more rules, specifically bedtime since it’s almost upon us.” She continued.
You huffed, rolling your eyes. You were twenty-four, not a baby - you didn’t need a bedtime. “Why?”
“Because it’s a rule.” Natasha added, folding her arms as she came into your view.
“Come on. Come sit.”
You eyed the empty chair between the two Alphas and you shook your head. “I’ll stand, thanks.”
Neither of them reacted. “Okay. First off: Do you have a job?”
“I’m a waitress and bartender at Danny’s Diner, remember? Where you first decided to have me?” You replied, watching Natasha taking notes as Wanda asked questions.
“When do you normally work?”
“Any shift I can get. Typically night, early morning. Rarely during the day.” Your answers came with a short clip at the end, showing the Alphas that this was not a favourable discussion.
“What’s your boss’ name?”
“I have Sophie as my manager and then the owner, Danny. His wife, Alura, does the shift management.”
“Can we speak to her?”
“Why?”
Natasha lifted her head from the paper and laced her fingers together. “We want to have a schedule that aligns with your bedtime. Probably four or five days of the week, you’ll be in bed by 10:30.”
You let a huff of air out through your nose. “That’s ridiculous. I’m not a child.”
“That’s why we’re giving you the option of four days.” Wanda retorted, raising an eyebrow at you.
You growled out deeply. “Fine. What else?”
Natasha chuckled. “You get to choose if you want to sleep in our room or yours. We’ll go out tomorrow and buy some more clothes, things for a nest, et cetera. We can even split up so that Wanda goes shopping with you while I go talk to your bosses.”
“Good. I don’t want to see Danny’s eyes when he finds out I can’t work like a normal person anymore.” You mumbled, trying to remove yourself from the uncomfortable situation.
“Okay. Now, for punishment, I take it you don’t want physical touch like spanking?” The Widow continued.
“No.” You shook your head, the only time this conversation didn’t have a snarky remark from you.
“Alright. How about physical exertion? Standing on your head in the corner, planking, balancing books on your head?”
You raised an eyebrow. “That’s a punishment?”
“Yes. We will push you until we deem the punishment over or that you can no longer carry on.” Wanda clarified.
You nodded, comforted by the familiarity of your training. “Okay. What else?”
Natasha glanced at the rules on the fridge before looking down at her notes. “Ah, yes. ‘Drops/other problems’. Who do you want when you drop?”
You thought about it for a moment, making sure to hide your thoughts in case Wanda wanted to look. You hadn’t dropped since you learned how to control it, no thanks to HYDRA and the Red Room. You would get a slight fuzz in your head but that was all, which didn’t help when making this decision.
“Can we wait on that one?” You asked, receiving nods from them both.
“Of course.”
You nodded and felt awkward just standing there with a cup of water in your hands, watching Natasha pack up her notes whilst Wanda looked over to you. “Do you want to come and watch a movie?”
You nodded and followed Wanda to the lounge area, watching her take her place. You knew you shouldn’t have hesitated to sit on the couch, because the three pairs of eyes on you looked worried.
“Y/N, you don’t have to sit on the floor unless you want to.” Kate spoke, pulling out a pillow for you to sit on.
“I’m not sitting on the floor like a mutt.” You growled, choosing to sit in the end corner of the couch.
“Okay.” The archer took the pillow back and cuddled up to Yelena, something you watched closely.
Wanda observed your watching eyes before she patted the spot next to her, giving you a welcome smile. You scowled at the patting motion, choosing to stick to your corner, even if you were a little bit cold.
Then, Natasha came back. She sat down next to Wanda, with a space to fit another person and a half between you and her. “Y/N, come over here so we can share the blanket.”
“No thanks, I’m good.” You replied monotonously.
You watched the movie about amazing black women sending astronauts into space whilst fighting for rights; that was, until, an alarm went off and Natasha pulled out her phone.
You despised the alarm’s name - Omega bedtime.
“I’m not just a stupid Omega.” You growled, storming out of the room and slamming your door shut.
Wanda grabbed the phone from Natasha and stopped the alarm from ringing, glancing at her mate. “Change it.”
Natasha quickly changed it to Y/N bedtime before making her way to your door. “Can I come in?”
“No.” You answered, slightly muffled from both the door and your pillow.
Natasha sighed, placing her head against the door. “I’m sorry, love. I should have known better.”
“Mhm.” You answered.
“You’re not a prize to be won. You’re a charm to be treasured.” She added.
“Goodnight, sweetness.”
You didn’t say it back.
Tumblr media
When the morning came, you made your way to the kitchen to see Wanda already cooking.
“Hi, Y/N. Want some breakfast?” She handed over a plate of fried eggs on toast with cutlery.
“Thank you.” You murmured sleepily, watching as Wanda poured you some water.
You ate half of the breakfast before Wanda noticed how you didn’t want any more, coming over and giving you a gentle touch along your back. “Good job, Y/N. That was a lot, I shouldn’t have plated so much, sorry.”
“It’s okay.” You replied, going back to your room to change only to bump into Natasha.
“Sorry, love. How are you feeling? Had some breakfast, I see.” She pointed at the egg that had dripped down onto your shirt.
“Yep.” You clipped.
“We’ll be leaving in about an hour, okay?”
You nodded and closed your door, leaving Natasha to be with her sister and mate. You popped a strong suppressant before getting changed into your outfit of jeans, shirt and hoodie. You left your room with your shoes in hand, tying them by the elevator as you waited for the two Alphas.
They eventually came out wearing simple civilian clothes like yours, but they frowned at the sight of the hoodie. “Y/N, it’s going to be warm today. Are you sure you want the hoodie?”
You nodded, knowing that your body struggled even on a hot day. Whilst walking with them through the carpark, conveniently next to a train station and Danny’s Diner, you noticed how some Omegas acted with their Alphas. Some had collars on, some were leashed, others were like you and free.
“Do you want us to find you a collar while we shop, baby?” Wanda asked and you growled.
“No collars.”
She nodded and kissed your forehead before those lips transferred to Natasha, bidding her goodbye as she walked towards the diner. Wanda took your hand and pulled you into stores and you noticed that some of them didn’t even question your status as Wanda led you around.
After two trips to the car, you and Wanda went to lunch. You both found a table, with the witch determined not to let you out of her sight, and she watched you eat slowly.
“So, Y/N, I was wondering if you would consider something for me and Nat.” Wanda asked, waiting for you to swallow your chips.
“What about?”
“Could you cuddle with us tonight? Natasha’s been feeling antsy and I don’t have the right pheromones to calm her like you do.”
You looked down at your meal and put your hands in your lap, taking a few deep breaths. “I’m… I’m not great with touch.”
“Is it because of HYDRA? And the Red Room?” She offered, watching you nod.
“It’s not appropriate here, but I have some… less than admirable markings across my body.”
Wanda’s eyes turned to steel as she looked at you. “What kind of marks?”
“Um…”
Wanda put a hand on top of yours and you stopped talking. “You don’t have to say if you’re not comfortable.” She reassured you.
You nodded. “Thank you.”
“You’re always welcome, love.”
When you saw Natasha walking towards you both, you shifted in your seat and a small scowl came onto your lips. She was beaming, pride wafting from her, and you huffed. “What are you so happy about?”
“Danny says he’s more than happy to let you work afternoon shifts, from about 2 until 7:30.” She smiled.
You huffed out slowly. “Great.”
She looked at you and sighed, your eyes not meeting hers. “Will you please look at me?”
“Not unless you use my name.”
“Y/N, please look at me.”
You lifted your head and with an annoyed sigh, opened your eyes slowly. “What?”
“Why are you making this difficult?”
“I liked my life how it was before, so excuse me for trying to keep it that way as much as possible.”
Wanda took your hand and when Natasha tried to take yours, she was met with a hostile growl before you removed your hand from the table. The alpha was done, and you could smell it on her.
“We’re going home. Now.”
Wanda helped you pack up the last of your things, including taking some leftovers, before she guided you into the back of the car. You fidgeted in your seat as your omega brain began to get stressed, your mind getting fuzzy as Natasha kept looking back at you.
“Natasha, you’re scaring her. Stop it, right now.” Wanda scolded.
“I am not! I’m being an Alpha.” She retorted, albeit reining in her scent a bit.
Wanda looked at you in the rearview mirror and saw how unhappy you were. You were her Omega, one of the two most important things in her life, and you were unhappy.
“Malysh, would opening the window help you?” She offered as she turned the corner.
“Mhm.” You muttered.
She opened the window a little bit, no more than halfway, but she saw how it calmed you. She even released a few calming pheromones to combat Natasha’s frustration and you pulled the window up higher of your own volition.
“How much further?” You asked quietly.
“Not too far. A few more minutes.” She smiled at you.
Meanwhile, Natasha was frustrated as the emotion in her heart was new. Why did you like Wanda but not her? She acted the same, she gave you the same options, but why did you like her more?
She was jealous, and even you could tell that much.
When Wanda pulled into the garage of Avengers Tower, you already saw a few of the Avengers waiting to help unpack the car. A few new faces were there, most having some scrapes, but they still helped where they could.
“Miss Romana, a meeting will be held in five minutes to introduce you to the Avengers you did not meet beforehand.” FRIDAY spoke above you in your quiet room.
“Thank you for telling me, FRIDAY.” You replied, laying out a blanket on the end of your bed.
You entered the bathroom and noticed how the graze along your cheek was almost healed, whilst your arms were still a bit scuffed. You replaced the bandages on them and threw a hoodie over the top before following FRIDAY’s directions to the penthouse.
When you stepped out, the foreign area put you on alert until you saw Wanda and inevitably, Natasha. You don’t know why you weren’t as comfortable with her as you were with Wanda, and for some reason, you thought you should be more comfortable since the Widow had gone through similar things to you.
“Ah, Y/N, you’re here. Let’s get started.” Steve gathered everyone, some with drinks in hand made by Tony at the bar.
“Would you like a drink?” Wanda offered and you shook your head.
“I’ll get you some water then.”
You took the glass into your hand before nodding to Steve to start the conversation. “This is pretty much everyone you’ll meet, Y/N, but you already know everyone that lives here. These guys have their own places outside of the Tower, or rarely come by enough to have a room.”
“Okay.” You shrugged, hearing a few chuckles.
“Feisty Omega.” The blonde woman, another Alpha by her scent, snickered.
Natasha growled. “Carol, watch it.”
“She’s cute, too. Anybody claimed her yet?”
Natasha snapped at her, with Wanda pushing you behind her and taking Natasha’s wrist. “Not yet, but she holds our marks. Careful, Danvers. Natasha is not in the mood for your antics.”
You wriggled out of Wanda’s grip and stood to her side, shooting her a glare before you nodded to Steve to continue.
“You already met Peter, but he thought he’d come and say hi.”
“H-Hi, Miss Y/N.” He waved at you, the young Beta’s pheromones reeking of nerves.
“You almost smell like an Omega.” You smiled at him.
“I have anxiety.”
You nodded sympathetically. “I know all about that, don’t you worry.”
“This is Rhodey, Tony’s best friend.” Steve gestured to him.
“I’m a Beta soldier.”
You nodded softly, respecting his status and service.
“Then there’s Scott, Sam and Bucky. Sam and Bucky are mated, whilst Scott’s girlfriend is the only pairing so far in the Avengers that’s opposing primary sexes.”
“Hi. Beta with an Alpha girlfriend. You seem very nice.” He shook your hand, his smile almost fatherly.
“I’m Y/N, as you know. Y/N Romana.”
“Let me guess - Romanian?” He chuckled, making you do the same.
“Just a little bit.”
Natasha and Wanda both felt jealousy rise. You were with Scott for what, five seconds, and you’d already told him more personal things than either of them knew. Natasha took your hand and let you stand in-between them.
“Can we see your marks?” Sam asked and you nodded, spinning around.
But Natasha didn’t let go of your hand, making you huff and wrench it out with a whispered ‘ow’. You parted the hood away whilst lifting your hair up, showing off the three marks.
“And proof?” Bucky questioned, to which Wanda stepped forward and moved her shirt collar over.
“Nat?” Steve gestured for her turn and she lifted her pant leg, showcasing the marks by her ankle.
“Good. Now, I hope that you all understand that those marks means Y/N is off-limits, unless she asks you specifically for help with a drop or to take her out of the Tower.”
They all nodded, with Wanda bringing you back to her side, and you looked over at Natasha. Soon, a meeting was held by the Alphas and you were left outside with Scott, Rhodey and Bucky who were all Betas.
“So how come you smell like a Beta, Y/N?” Scott asked as he bit into a small sandwich.
“Oh, I don’t know, actually. If you’d like…” You pulled up your sleeve whilst calming your heart rate, undoing a bit of the bandage to reveal your healing wound.
“Does that help?”
They all leaned towards you and sniffed the air. “Oh yeah, that’s an Omega.” Rhodey commented, making you all chuckle.
“I just… I must have practised a lot with hiding my scent that I smell different when my blood’s not exposed.” You shrugged.
“Well you seem like a lovely person to be around, Omega or not.” Bucky smiled, patting your shoulder.
“Whoa! A metal arm?!” You exclaimed and he chuckled, taking off his jacket to reveal the black and gold design.
“It used to be made out of titanium, but our friend T’Challa built me a better one.” He grinned, flexing his fingers slightly in your grip.
“Whoa.” You chuckled, tracing the different grooves of the arm up until his elbow, to which you were pulled up by Natasha’s strong arm.
“No touching, Barnes.” She scowled and you pulled your arm out of her grip.
“It’s fine, Natasha. If anything, I’m the one touching him. Sorry I didn’t ask, Sam.” You apologised, but he shook his head.
“It’s okay, he likes the attention.”
Bucky rolled his eyes but when they came to Natasha, he lowered his eyes. “I’m sorry I didn’t ask if I could touch Y/N, Natasha.”
“You better be.” Natasha stepped towards him but you pulled her back, to which she spun around and growled at you.
A slap echoed in the room, with Natasha’s jaw clenching as her skin stung.
“Don’t you ever try and Alpha command me again.” You snarled, pointing a daring finger in her face that she had an idea of biting.
“I am your Alpha!”
“And I’m a fucking person!”
“Y/N…” Steve warned you, your mind drifting to the rules.
“Sorry, Head Alpha.”
He was surprised when you addressed him by his proper title, to which he let the foul slide. “Natasha, Y/N, Wanda - return to your level and talk this out.” He commanded, but you felt no power over you.
You stepped into the elevator and waited for FRIDAY to control it, keeping your cool as Wanda and Natasha came too. Wanda stood next to you whilst Natasha leaned against the wall, staring at you.
“How are you able to resist an Alpha command?” She questioned.
“Red Room. Resist the command or die.” You replied shortly.
“That’s not what I remember.”
“You’re an Alpha - of course you don’t remember, because it didn’t happen to you. It wasn’t a part of your training program.”
Wanda took your hand and kissed it gently, brushing her thumb over your skin like she was smoothing out a pebble.
“Stop trying to be a kiss-up, Wanda.” Natasha growled.
“I’m not. I’m respecting my mate, just as you should be doing.” Wanda shot back, her eyes glowing.
Natasha stood up as the elevator slowed, standing next to you. “Don’t think we forgot about your swearing, Omega.”
“Steve let it slide.” You stated, but she shook her head.
“Steve is not your Alpha. I am. Your punishment is ten spankings.”
“Y-You said no spanking.” You stammered, suddenly feeling very small as the Alpha’s scent overwhelmed your systems.
“Do you want ten more?”
“Natasha, enough!” Wanda threw her out of the elevator just as the doors opened, letting her skid along the ground before she hit a chair.
“Y/N, go to your room. I’ll be there soon if you’ll allow me inside.”
You scurried past and shut the door, leaving the Alphas to ‘talk’ it out. “Natasha Romanoff, I don’t know what has gotten into you lately, but this is the most restless I’ve seen you! You need to either dial it down or I will knock you down a few pegs, got it?”
Natasha took a few deep breaths before she stood, looking at your door. “Why can’t I do anything right?”
“Start by treating her like a person instead of an Omega.” Wanda snapped, coming to knock on your door.
You opened it and she saw how downcast your expression was. “Look at me, Y/N.” She murmured, waiting for your eyes to meet hers.
“May I come in?”
You nodded, taking her hand and shutting the door before you led her onto your bed and lay down. She didn’t make any advances to be nearer, but she did watch you closely as you fidgeted.
“I want to go home.”
“I’m sorry, frumoasă, but you can’t go home. You have to stay here.” She sighed, gently running her knuckle up and down your unmarred cheek.
She watched as a few tears sprung forth and you curled yourself into a ball, your sad pheromones ringing alarm bells in Wanda’s head. “Y/N, can I hug you?”
You nodded and she slowly enveloped you in her warmth, the scent of cinnamon and apples making you calm slightly. Your head became fuzzier and your vision blurred, but it soon refocused as you looked up at Wanda.
“I’m… I’m gonna…”
“You’re gonna drop?” She asked gently and you nodded.
“I haven’t dropped in a while.”
She kissed the crown of your forehead gently. “I’ll keep you safe, Y/N. No harm will come to you as long as I am here.”
You slowly closed your eyes and although every instinct in you said not to, you let go. Wanda felt your release as a sinking of your weight into the mattress, making her smile gently as she continued to pamper you with kisses, a hand running up and down your spine, a blanket slowly peeling over you.
“Good, love. Would you like to sleep?” She offered and you nodded slowly.
“Isokay? No mad?” You slurred.
“Not mad. It’s okay.” She confirmed, feeling your breathing slow until it evened out into slumber.
Tumblr media
When you woke, you felt the most refreshed you’d ever felt in your life, like that sleep was the only true sleep you’d ever had. In a way, it was, as having no reason to be on your guard was astoundingly good for your mind.
You sat up groggily before a knock came to your door, the sight of Wanda making you smile. The long shirt covered most of her torso, leaving the bottom of her silk shorts to poke out. “Morning. Can I come in?” She asked, to which you nodded.
“I wanted to talk to you about Nat.”
Your eyes opened properly after a few blinks. “What about her?”
“She wants to talk to you. Spend time with you and you alone. She wants to know Y/N, not her Omega.”
“I thought they were one and the same.” You chuckled, but Wanda saw the dejection behind your eyes.
“I can’t deny the fact that I love that you’re an Omega. But I also know that it doesn’t define you. You’re strong, independent, caring, witty, just to name a few.”
You blushed at her description. “Thanks, Wanda.”
She leaned in and kissed your cheek gently. “Will you give Nat a chance? Please?”
You took a deep sigh and nodded. “One chance. If she blows it, she blows it. No Omega for her.”
She smiled. “Carol was right, in a way. You’re so feisty, it’s cute.”
You playfully growled at her and she giggled, biting her bottom lip before she stood. “Come on. Yelena and Kate are making pancakes for breakfast.”
You yawned and walked with her, hand in hand, and smiled at the Alpha-Beta pair that beamed at you.
“Y/N! Do you want a pancake?!” Kate offered over the music, which Wanda turned down with her magic.
“Sorry. Do you want one?” She asked again at a normal volume.
“Yes please.” You smiled, looking down at the delicious spreads.
You shuffled onto a chair and thanked Kate for the pancake as it flopped down in front of you. You watched Wanda’s magic bring over the Nutella, to which you almost grabbed from her, but her magic manipulated a knife to spread it evenly over the pancake.
“I wanted to do that.” You whined playfully, rolling it up before eating it like a burrito.
“I’m just trying to practise my powers, love.” She chuckled, sitting down next to you.
“You may drown the pancake in Nutella for your next one.”
You munched on them slowly before you objected to a third, but you could tell that your stomach was expanding as you never would have thought you could eat this much a week ago. You were laughing along with Kate and Yelena as they dotted on one another, the noirette Alpha taking care of her Beta, whilst Wanda observed you.
You watched as Kate fed Yelena a bite of pancake-wrapped banana and a feeling grumbled in your heart. You wanted that, to be dotted on and loved so carelessly. You wanted to feel as safe as you did last night, to be at peace like that, and you wanted it with Wanda and Natasha.
Then it dawned on you.
*Shit!* You looked towards your bedroom before making an excuse to freshen up, quickly scurrying into your ensuite at the sight of a shocked Natasha.
A bottle of strong suppressant pills in her hand.
“Y/N, what…?” Her heart broke, and yours raced.
“Natasha, it’s not what it looks like.”
“It’s not? So these aren’t Omega suppressants? Ones that could kill you?” She growled, but noticed how the room stank of fear.
Wanda, Yelena and Kate came rushing into the room, the witch with her magic whilst Yelena held two spatulas and Kate held the hot frying pan.
“Y/N, get back!” Yelena yelled, ready to attack whoever was in the bathroom.
You scrambled into the corner of the room, eyeing your cupboard before you clambered into that and held it shut. Voices were muffled, gasps of shock too, but it was clear what you had done and you knew you would be a goner.
“Malen’kiy, can you open the cupboard door, please?” Wanda’s soothing voice was clearer as she knocked on it.
“No, no, no, no, no… Gonna punish me, gonna whip me… bad Omega, bad bad Omega…”
Wanda pulled the door open by your muttering to see you in an out-of-body state, rocking back and forth on top of a pile of dirty laundry. She knelt down in front of you and tried to grasp your attention, but was struggling with the two other Alphas, one with fear and one with shock.
“Everybody just calm down.” Wanda cooed, mostly to you.
“Bad bad Omega… got caught, gonna whip me…” You kept muttering, only to flinch wildly at Wanda’s touch.
“Shh, Y/N, I’m not going to hurt you.” She tried to calm you but still failed.
“Natasha, get your butt over here.”
The Widow knelt down in front of you and her heart shattered at the sight of your fear-stricken form. Your entire body was shaking while you rocked back and forth, your voice sounding like a broken record.
“Dom her.” Yelena spoke.
“Sestra, stay out of this.” Natasha growled.
“I promise, dom her. She needs to know she’s safe, and it’s not going to do much to just tell her. Dom her, overflow her senses with your pheromones. Trust me, it works.”
Wanda and Natasha looked at each other before looking at you, their fingers lacing together just as their minds did. Yelena and Kate left, closing the door behind them, and that’s when Natasha and Wanda decided to scent the entire room.
As soon as it hit you, your body stilled. No more rocking, a little bit of shaking, but a whimper came out of your lungs.
“Omega, your Alphas are here. Come and sit here.” Natasha pointed at her lap.
She watched as your eyes seemed foggy as your sluggish movements guided you into her lap, sitting just like a cradled baby would. Natasha held your torso and Wanda came to her side, running her fingers through your hair as you continued to whimper.
“Gonna whip me, gonna hurt me… M’sorry, Alphas…”
Wanda shushed you gently. “No, Omega. No whipping. Punishment, yes, but no harm like that will come to you by our hands.”
You curled further into Natasha, burying your head in her neck to breathe in every possible scent of hers you could. Wanda watched Natasha relax, a calm expression built upon her face whilst realisation hit the witch.
“This is what you needed, my love. You needed to dom her.”
“I guess so. I feel very relaxed.” The Widow commented.
“It’s her.” Wanda smiled as you stopped shaking. “Can’t you smell it? She reeks of calming scents.”
Natasha gently tilted your head to the side and smelled your scent glands, the addictive and sweet scent of honey filling her lungs. A purr exuded from her chest and it calmed you to the point of near-sleep, your head lulling back into Wanda’s hands.
“Okay, bring her out slowly.” Wanda guided as she pulled her own pheromones back in.
Natasha didn’t want to, though. You were finally calm, compliant, a true Omega. But she trusted her mate and pulled back her pheromones, only keeping the ones that essentially blocked off your fear.
“Hmm… Natasha? Wanda?” You muttered, looking around the room.
“Hi, darling. How are you feeling?” Natasha murmured.
“I’ve never… I mean I have, but only in the Red Room.” You stammered.
“That was a really, really bad stress-drop, Y/N.” Wanda explained, helping you move to the bed.
“I feel so drained, but so energised.” You looked down at your body to see a sheen of sweat covering it.
“Y/N, can you tell us where all of your suppressants are, please?” The witch tucked a hair behind your ear.
You froze. That’s why you dropped, now you remember. Natasha found them and you tried to hide from her. “Are… Are you mad at me?”
“Not anymore, my love.” Natasha shook her head, kissing your temple.
“Um… okay, please don’t get mad.”
You shifted throughout your room and grabbed every bottle and loose pill before placing them on the bed. Natasha and Wanda’s heart sank as a few tears shed down your cheeks, sniffles accompanying them until you stood empty-handed in front of the duo.
“Th-That’s everything, I promise.”
Wanda stood up and hugged you tightly, something of which you never thought would happen. You hugged her back just as tightly before you started sobbing, your legs failing you but she brought you to the bed.
“Ple-hease, I was g-going to wean off of them, I promise. Please don’t b-be mad, I’ll be a g-good ‘Mega. I-I’ll wear a collar, I’ll t-take the spankings, I’ll kneel out-outside.”
“Shh, little ‘mega.” Natasha cooed.
“You won’t be punished for this, Y/N. We were going to, but not anymore.”
“W-Why?” You sniffled as Wanda pulled away, cleaning up your cheeks with her thumbs.
“Because you gave us everything else. If we just got angry at finding that one bottle, then you would have hidden the rest from us and stayed on death row. We could not be more proud or happier that you decided to be honest with us.” She explained.
You let out a shuddering exhale of relief, with feelings rising up in you that you hadn’t felt in a long time.
“And did you really mean those things? You’d have worn a collar and knelt in public because you thought we were mad?” Natasha asked gently.
You nodded. “Other Alphas did it. I-It’s why I didn’t want a collar at the shops.”
Natasha and Wanda steeled up slightly. “Baby, you’ve been handled by other Alphas?”
You nodded again before looking at Natasha, realisation dawning on her. “Of course. The lease program.”
“What?” Wanda looked between you two.
“It’s where the few Omegas in the Red Room were leased out to the highest bidder for 24 hours, with no law standing in-between them.”
Natasha wrapped you in a tight hug. “I’m so sorry I’ve been ignorant. I’ll be a better Alpha than those pigs, I promise.”
You nuzzled into her slightly. “Don’ wanna go back there.”
She shook her head as she let go a bit. “Never. Never in a million years will you ever have to go back there.”
You relaxed into her grip and felt an overwhelming urge to kiss her. You leaned forward and captured her lips in yours, leaving it after three seconds to be just a simple kiss.
“My… My Alpha.” You murmured.
A stronger-than-steel purr ripped through her chest as her pupils dilated. “What did you just say?”
You blushed deeply before taking Wanda’s hand, pulling her in for a kiss too. You sighed relaxingly and pulled the two impossibly closer, almost to the point that they could kiss over your shoulder.
“My Alphas.”

It was supposed to be her Part.2
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Natasha Romanoff x F!Reader
Warning: fluff/angst
WC: +1,4
(English is not my first language so I apologize for any spelling mistakes)
A/n: Sorry this took a long time to come out😩
Summary: You realize you can't get married, not while you're still in love with your ex, Natasha Romanoff.
Masterlist Part.1
Don't you know how long you've been sitting at your kitchen counter, an hour? No, maybe two. To say that meeting with Natasha didn't move you would be a lie.
You can't stop thinking about the redhead, every moment, the kisses, the heated nights full of desires. Desires that were thrown away by her. She didn't care about her feelings when it was over with everything, so why do you feel so uncomfortable with your words that night?
Maybe it's because you wanted to say that you still loved her, that you still thought about her every time you were with your fiancé. That you still wanted her and damn, you get real.
You can't get married. Not with him.
Ryan has always been a caring man, he has always been respectful and kind, maybe something about him made you settle into stable love, but you don't love him, not like you love Natasha.
Canceling a wedding with just three days left seems crazy, but his story with the redhead has never been relatively normal.
Your thoughts are interrupted by a soft knock on your door, for a second you imagine Natasha on the other side, waiting for you, but your expectations are broken by the voice of the only person that you didn't want to find now.
Ryan.
“Baby? Please open the door, I know you're home." Closing your eyes and taking a deep breath you know you need to face it, Ryan is a good man and doesn't deserve to be with someone who loves someone else.
You take heavy steps towards the door, just wanting time to stop. When you open the door you look at him determined to put an end to it, Ryan deserved more and you couldn't give him that.
When he moves forward to give you a kiss you instantly turn your face away, he frowns, clearly confused, again he moves forward wanting to enter your apartment But again you stop him, there's no point in dragging this out, you don't want to give him any ray of hope, no matter how much it hurts you, you need to make him understand that there's no going back.
“What happened darling?" He asks, clearly upset and all you can do is hang your head, your eyes are burning and all you want is to cry.
“I can't go on with this" you say, still with your head down, a few lonely tears coming out of your eyes. "What?" Ryan asks confused.
“I said I can't go on with this. I can't go on with you" you say finally raising your head and looking at him. “Why?" That's all he asks I can see his disappointed look and I feel worse knowing it's because of me. "I don't love you, you deserve more than someone who doesn't love you.” You say trying to sound sure of your words but the tears falling down your cheeks don't help.
He just shakes his head, his eyes full of tears, something inside him always knew that you didn't love him, but he needed to clear up a doubt. "There's someone, right?" You look at him with pity and after a few seconds you shake your head positively, you don't trust your voice to say anything else.
And with that Ryan leaves you alone at that door, the weight of everything hits you again, there will be no wedding, you lost a great friend and everything for Natasha, but everything was always for her.
You enter your apartment again, planning to cry for the next three days and drown in the consequences of your terrible life decisions.
As planned, you spent three days regretting your life and your bad decisions, Wanda even came wanting to help you and make you cheer up but she couldn't.
Now you're sitting on your bed, with a tub of ice cream on your lap watching La La Land in a sweatshirt that's too big for you, but it was Natasha's so that's what you needed to wear.
You've often thought about calling the redhead, saying you're not going to get married and giving her another chance, but you've always been a coward, you just hope that fate will somehow resolve this for you.
You hear a knock on the front door and you ignore it thinking that if it's Wanda she'll probably open it herself, but the knocking started to get more frantic and you could kill Wanda for making you interrupt your movie.
You walk to the front door wearing shorts that are too small for you and a sweatshirt that Natasha left behind.
“Wanda, can't you open the door by yourself?" You say, opening the door and coming face to face with someone who wasn't the witch.
Natasha.
You are speechless, the redhead is standing in front of you with her chest rising and falling frantically as if she had run here, she looked beautiful, with black pants, a leather jacket, her hair tied into a braid, she looked as beautiful as the first time you two saw each other.
Before you could say anything the redhead immediately grabs you in a hug, she wraps her arms around your waist and hides her face in the crook of your neck, everything she does leaves you completely unresponsive, until you wrap your arms around her trying to give her some comfort, you could never deny her that. After a few minutes Natasha decides to speak
“You can't marry him, I know I'm the one who ended everything and I can't ask that of you, but I still love you and I can make you happy" You freeze, you didn't expect that, You broke up with Ryan for her and now you can't say anything?
The words disappear from your mouth and every second of silence kills Natasha's hopes, she came to you with one hope, that you still love her and give her another chance, That saying in the coffee shop made her realize that there was no way she would see you marrying someone else, it would kill her inside and she would have to fight for you, for your love again
And that's why she came to your door, a last attempt to make you give up everything for her, it may be a selfish desire on her part but she can't help it, nothing in your relationship with her it was normal.
Natasha realizes that maybe your silence is already an answer, that you are really going to get married and she was too late. Natasha slowly frees herself from you, already accepting defeat. Until you finally react and do the one thing you've been thinking about since you ran into her at the coffee shop.
A kiss.
You quickly grab the redhead's face and kisses you, a kiss full of longing and all the unspoken feelings for you. It takes Natasha a few seconds to return the kiss and when she does, it's as if the entire universe stops around you. Natasha deepens the kiss, running her tongue along your lower lip asking for passage, and all you do is melt in her arms like you did on so many nights of love with her.
When air became necessary, Natasha breaks the kiss but her hands are still wrapped around you, you don't say anything, you just look at each other and start laughing, there was nothing so funny, but something how familiar the kiss was, as if you had only been two hours without seeing each other and everything seemed as if nothing had happened between the two of you.
“I think I ruined your wedding" Natasha says still laughing at you. You just shake your head and put your hands on the back of the redhead's head, playing with her hair, the familiarity of it all making you let out a weak laugh.
“She's already ruined, I'm not getting married Nat, that night made me realize that all this wouldn't make sense if it weren't for you, I could never marry someone other than you." You say, feeling Natasha becoming more and more emotional
“I shouldn't have left that night without telling you I loved you, I let you go and now you could be married to someone else, I wouldn't stand for that Detka.” The redhead says hugging you again
“Let's try again Nat, no lies, let's make it work this time ok?" Natasha immediately shakes her head, she would do anything for you.
“I love you Detka, I don't want to lose you again." Natasha says looking into her eyes and you can see she is about to cry.
“You'll never lose me Nat, it's always been you.”

winterwidows daughter being her mamas little shadow like she watches her train and attempts to copy all the poses
Little Shadow
Winterwidow x daughter!reader
Summary: Natasha has a little copy of herself, doing everything she does.
———
At the age of two, you had become Natasha's little shadow, following her every move with a boundless sense of curiosity and adoration. Whether Natasha was training in the Avengers' gym or simply going about her daily routine, you were always right there, eager to imitate and share in your mother's activities.
In the gym, as Natasha practiced her skilled combat maneuvers, you were beside her, trying your best to mimic each pose. With determination and a smile on your little face, you threw your tiny fists and kicked your little legs, your tiny frame mirroring Natasha's gestures.
"Look at you, my little spy," Natasha would say, her heart swelling with pride. She would gently encourage her daughter, offering her praise for every attempt, no matter how small. Your eyes would light up with joy, reveling in your mother’s attention and approval.
As the training session came to an end, Natasha made her way to the water cooler to quench her thirst. To her amusement, you followed closely behind, your purple little drink bottle clutched in your hands.
"Mama drink," you declared, looking up at her with bright eyes.
Natasha chuckled, realizing that her little girl wanted to be just like her. She took a few sips out of her water bottle, and you copied, feeling a sense of accomplishment at being able to do what Mama did.
With their thirst quenched, Natasha decided to head to the kitchen to grab a quick snack. As she made herself a peanut butter sandwich, she looked down to find you gazing up at her with pleading eyes.
"Mama me too!" you requested, your voice sweet and determined.
Natasha smiled affectionately, touched by her daughter's desire to share in her moments. She prepared a small, toddler-friendly peanut butter sandwich and handed it to you.
"Here you go, my love. Enjoy your peanut butter sandwich, just like Mama," she said, patting your head gently.
You giggled and took a bite, your little face lighting up with delight. you felt a special connection to your mother, knowing that you guys were both enjoying the same treat together.
Throughout the day, Natasha and Y/N continued their activities side by side. Whether it was practicing ballet, reading books, or simply exploring the world around them, Y/N always sought to be part of her mother's world.
In the tender moments they shared, Natasha marveled at the bond they had formed. She knew that you saw her as a role model, someone to look up to and learn from. It warmed her heart to know that her actions and behaviors were shaping her daughter's early experiences.
In your eyes, Natasha was not only a formidable Avenger but also your beloved Mama, your hero, and your greatest source of love and inspiration. And as you two continued to walk hand in hand, Natasha realized that in the eyes of her little shadow, she was simply perfect.

Meet The Guardians Of The Galaxy
Summary: The Avengers meet the Guardians of the Galaxy for the first time.
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x Avenger!Female Reader
Warnings: Minimal use of Y/N. Language. A lot of fluff. My poor attempts at being funny.
Word Count: 1.4K
A/N: I'm not sure what this is, but I was just thinking how it might go if the Avengers met the Guardians of the Galaxy. It started with the reader cooing at Groot and Bucky being jealous and this is what came out, lol, hope you like it! Needless to say, this doesn't follow the MCU timeline, like basically all of my other stories. Don't ask me how Thor knows the Guardians, the bitch just do. I also just needed Bucky fluff, like always, and I'm really happy how it turned out! Like always I appreciate asks and messages and am always up for it if you have any ideas.
Masterlist
Tumblr media
By this point you’re very aware that there’s life on other planets, that the universe is a place much bigger than you ever imagined. Working with the Avengers allows you to see so many things that you never thought could possibly even exist.
Super soldiers, superheroes, enhanced individuals, even Thor himself is a demi-god from literally a different planet.
This particular demi-god is the reason why today you and the rest of the team find yourselves in the common room of the Avengers Compound, a spaceship casually parked in your yard.
They call themselves the Guardians of the Galaxy: Peter Quill, Gamora, Rocket, Nebula, Drax and Mantis, literal aliens currently bickering amongst themselves because they came to earth to visit Thor the wrong day, resulting in Thor not being home for their arrival.
"Is that a plushie?" you ask, a little confused, pointing at a little teddy bear-like thing on Quill’s shoulder and effectively ending their search for who is at fault for their mistake.
He looks even more confused than you and asks "What the hell is a plushie? This is Groot, he’s a Flora Colossi."
You decide, for my own peace of mind, to ignore the latin and instead focus on the cute little thing on his shoulder who is now moving and looking at you weirdly.
"I am Groot." he says in the cutest voice ever.
"Oh my god, you're just adorable!" You say, reaching your finger out for him to hold, freaking out at his cuteness.
"I remember when you used to talk to me like that…" you hear Bucky mumble behind you, which makes you laugh and, with your attention still completely on Groot, you tell him "God, you really are a needy bitch, Barnes." at which everybody laughs.
"Yeah? And you’re just a bi-"
"Hey!" you basically yell, interrupting him and startling Groot.
"I’m kidding!" he quickly says, putting up his hands in defeat. With one last glare at Bucky, your attention turns back to Groot.
"I am Groot!" he says again.
"I know honey, you said that." you tell him.
"I am Groot." he says, yet again, at which Sam answers "Yeah, you’re Groot, got it."
Groot says "I am Groot." again and, before Sam can say something that you're sure is gonna be very rude, you turn to the Guardians and ask "Why does he keep saying that?"
Rocket is the one to answer "Well, he don't know talking good like me and you. So his vocabulistics is limited to I and am and Groot. Exclusively in that order."
His answer leaves you all a little dumbfounded but again, for your own sanity, you all seem to decide to let it go.
Instead Bruce asks "So how do you understand him?"
"We speak Groot." Nebula says like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"How can you speak ‘Groot’ if he says literally the same three words, in the exact same order, in the same way every time?" Tony asks, starting to get a little frustrated, probably because the genius can’t do something that seems to come really easy to a bunch of space idiots.
"We manage." Quill simply says.
At this point Groot reaches his little hands towards you, signaling that he wants to be picked up, so, before Tony can make any sarcastic comment, you look at Quill and ask, excitement clear on your face "Can I?" while pointing at an awaiting Groot.
"Sure." He says, and you very carefully pick him up and put him on your shoulder.
"Be careful not to move too fast, he’ll hold onto your hair for dear life." Gamora warns you.
"Noted." you say giggling a little when Groot sticks his tongue out to Gamora, then she does the same to him, making everyone else laugh too.
"Buck, look how cute he is." you coo at Groot who's playing with your finger.
"’s not that cute…" he says quietly but you hear him, and apparently so does Groot because he says "I am Groot." in a very annoyed tone that prompts a chorus of whoas and protests from the guardians.
"The acorns on you, kid!" Quill says, and everybody just knows he said some really bad words to Bucky.
"Who even taught you that word?!" Rocket sounds like an exasperated parent.
"I am Groot."
"What do you mean, Drax taught you?! WHY WOULD YOU TEACH HIM THAT?"
"The small tree asked." Drax says unbothered.
"Just because he asks doesn't mean you have to teach him dirty words!"
"How was I supposed to know that?"
"It's really common sense, Drax." Gamora interjects, calmer than Rocket.
"I am Groot."
"See, even Groot knows you don’t have common sense, Drax, that’s why he asked you." Quill says.
"I am Groot."
"I am not stupid, tree!" Drax glares at Groot.
"See, he’s not cute. He’s a disrespectful little shit!" Bucky says, also glaring at poor Groot.
"I am Groot." the guardians snicker, leaving the rest of you confused.
"What? What did he say?" you're too curious not to ask as Groot is now glaring back at Bucky.
"He said he doesn’t understand how a sweet person like you is with someone like him." Nebula translates, earning some gasps and snickers from everyone else too.
You look at Bucky trying hard not to laugh and he looks like he's about 5 seconds away from murdering Groot.
He takes a step towards you but Groot, still on your shoulder, makes the cutest little growl and starts flinging one of his arms around in Bucky’s direction, the other one holding to your hair so as to not fall.
"Oh, he’s ready to fight a bitch." you say unable to hold in your laughter any longer and the others follow you.
"What?" you turn around and Drax is giving you a confused look.
"What?" you say, calming down from your laughter.
"I do not understand. He does not resemble a female dog." he looks at Bucky and then back at you.
"He- I don- What?" you’re as confused as you’ve ever been, everybody else’s faces mirroring your own.
"His people are completely literal, he doesn’t understand metaphors." Rocket explains.
"Oh… fun." Tony says, still a little confused.
"Is it though?" you hear Gamora mumble, before Mantis starts giggling.
"It is!" she says with the joy of a kid on christmas morning.
"It’s really not." Nebula says casually, and from that the Guardians start bickering amongst each other.
You look at Groot who’s still on the warpath with Bucky and then at Rocket, the only one not saying anything.
He meets your eyes and simply says. "This is what I gotta live with."
"Oh, poor little racoon." you coo at him while laughing and that seems to stop the bickering.
"Hey, I am no racoon!" Rocket tells you defensively.
"I am Groot." Rocket groans and Quill snickers.
"Groot’s right, he’s a trash panda." he says knowing the people of earth will know why that’s funny.
Some of the Avengers laugh, but you gasp trying to hide your amusement for Rocket’s sake.
"You know, you might be right, Buck. He’s not that cute and innocent after all." you turn to your boyfriend, who gives you a slight pout.
"I’m cuter than him, right"- he asks you with those puppy eyes he knows make you melt.
"Aww, of course you are, baby." you give him a kiss on the cheek, almost forgetting about Groot on your shoulder until he talks again.
"I am Groot." the Guardians “aww” and coo at him but before you can ask, Mantis explains. "He says he understands now why you’re together."
"He says he can see how much you two love each other." Gamora finishes.
You smile at Groot and he smiles back before making the cutest yawn, looking at Bucky and doing grabby hands at him.
Bucky looks at you and you take his hand and guide it towards where Groot is, he’s uncertain but when Groot climbs on his hand Bucky looks almost like a little kid seeing a butterfly up close for the first time.
He brings Groot against his chest and the little tree gets comfortable and falls asleep almost immediately, while everyone else in the room coos at the two.
"This might be the cutest thing I’ve ever seen." you whisper, not wanting to wake up Groot, and Bucky looks up at you and flashes a smile bright enough to light up the whole of New York.
"I guess he is kind of cute." he says looking back down at Groot’s sleeping form, leaving everyone else snickering as quietly as they can, while he imagines how it would be to be like this one day with a baby that’s his and yours, and you can’t help but think the same thing.

Summary: Natasha adopted you from the Red Room when you were only a baby, but when she and Bucky had their own child, she started forgetting about you.
Part 2
"I hate you!" You shouted, slamming the door behind you
"Y/N, we're not done!" Natasha, your mother, shouted from downstairs "Get back here!"
This was a daily occurrence by now.
The, once nonexistent, daily arguments between you and Natasha only got worse over the years.
Although Natasha isn't your biological mother, she raised you like her own after she saved you from the Red Room.
You were only 2 months old when she adopted you and everything went well. You both formed a happy little family for a while.
That was until Natasha started dating Bucky a little after your 10th birthday and she slowly started spending less and less time with you.
But not Bucky was the factor that determined your mother-daughter relationship with Natasha to drift apart.
The main reason behind everything was your 5-year-old baby sister, Tanya, who came into the world a few months after Natasha and Bucky started dating, with a little bit of help from Tony and his technology that, nowadays, seems to defy all odds.
Tanya's arrival only strengthened the bond between her parents, who had a romantic history that started years before even you were born, and, at the same time, weakened the bond between you and Natasha.
You knew the drill by now.
'Tanya is perfect.'
'Tanya is ours.'
'Tanya is innocent.'
Their voices echoed in your brain like a broken record.
Tanya knows that she can get away with everything and Tanya does get away with everything.
Since her birth, it was as if Natasha had completely forgotten about your existence.
It began by ignoring you while she focused her attention solely on Tanya.
She wouldn't feed you anymore, wake you up for school, or cuddle you at night.
She didn't even notice that you changed.
But, how could she, when Tanya was everything she noticed?
You stared at yourself in the mirror.
Determination was etched on your pale face as you picked up the blade that was on your sink.
It became a relief for you.
Sliding that blade on your wrist helped you forget about the unbearable pain in your chest.
The crimson blood that was pooling from the cuts held your attention. The pain of being abandoned by two different mothers was momentarily shoved at the back of your mind.
You started harming yourself 2 years ago when you couldn't take Natasha's ignorance any more.
You haven't told anyone and it's not like they would care if they knew anyways. Tanya was the center of their world, not you.
She was the perfect baby, while you were the adopted bastard and a grand mistake that Natasha made.
Natasha never admitted it out loud but you understood the message from the way she was treating you.
The blade fell down from your hand into the sink.
'Is it all because she never gave birth to me?'
And you stared at the trail of blood it left on the white sink.
'Are adopted kids not important, just because they're not blood related?'
You slowly understood.
'Will I ever be treated the same as Tanya?'
The only one left to understand was Natasha.
"Y/N, do you want to play with my dolls later?" Tanya asked you a few hours later, during dinner
You pulled at the sleeves of your hoodie even more, hiding your hands inside of them.
"Sure, Tatu." You gave the small child a shy smile "I think I'd like that."
"Tatiana." Natasha sternly looked at Tanya but the tone of her voice was soft "Remember we have a movie night tonight. You can play with Y/N another time."
"Can Y/N come too?" Tanya's big, innocent eyes sparkled while she asked, as Natasha refilled the girl's glass of orange juice
"I think she has more important things to do." Natasha replied, not even bothering to ask what you want "We're going to have a mother-daughter night. It's going to be just us two, sweetheart. Wouldn't it be fun?"
"Yay!" Tanya cheered, throwing her arms in the air
But as she did, she accidentally knocked over the glass filled with juice.
"Oh oh..." Tanya said, looking at the spilled juice "Sorry, Mama."
"Don't worry, baby girl." Natasha smiled, sitting up to clean the mess "Accidents happen."
"That's not what you said the last time when I accidentally knocked over my glass of water." You bitterly spat out at Natasha
"You have no right to talk, Y/N." Natasha snapped at you "Shut up!"
"Natalia, honey, calm down." Bucky, who was sitting beside Natasha, put his hand on her arm "She didn't do anything wrong. She's just a kid."
"She's not a kid, James." Natasha shouted, turning her head in Bucky's direction "She's a grown-up teenager now."
"Talia, I think you are just overreacting right now." Bucky kept trying to calm his wife, sparing a glance in your direction
He looked down at your plate that was untouched, the effect of your lack of appetite obvious on your skinny and fragile frame.
"I think I'm full." You quickly sat up from the table
"Sit back down, right in this instance, Y/N." Natasha shouted at you "You don't disrespect your mother like that and get away with it."
"Well, lately, you didn't act like a mother at all." You shouted back at Natasha, pain evident in your voice, but Natasha was oblivious to it "All you care about is Tanya."
"Because she's my child!" Natasha screamed offended "It's only normal to care for her."
"I used to be your child as well!" You shouted, tears forming in your eyes "I still am your child."
"You're not mine!" Natasha shouted and you widened your eyes shocked "You're not anything to me! You aren't my child because you don't have my blood. I didn't carry you or feel you grow day by day inside of me. But with Tanya, I did. You are just a mistake, Y/N!"
"You are the mistake here, Mom!" You cried, slightly lifting your sleeves as Bucky's eyebrows shot in his hairline "Look!" You showed your scarred wrists to the woman "This is all because of you! Why can't you love me like any mother should do? Blood shouldn't be important! You raised me, Natasha."
Bucky reached his metal arm slowly towards your extended arms to inspect your wrists but he was pushed aside by Natasha, who blocked out the fact that you were hurting because of her and ignored the truth, her intrusive thoughts winning as she said something she would never be able to take back.
"You were never truly a part of this family, Y/N!" Natasha shouted "Get that in your head. You are not our blood and you will never be. I saved you because I thought that you would change but I see that you didn't. You are the same. But I did change. I am not the same Natasha that I was in the Red Room. I am better."
Shaking your head, you took a few steps backward.
"I can't believe you." You whispered in disbelief
"Y/N..." Bucky breathed out, sitting up from his chair "Don't listen to your mother, she's just tired. She didn't mean what she said."
"She knew damn well what she was saying." You kept shaking your head, a lone tear falling down your cheek
"Then get that in your head once and for all." Natasha shouted once more, stubbornly fixated on her wrong belief that she was right
"I hate you!" You shouted at Natasha "I wish you never rescued me from the Red Room!"
And with that, you stormed out of the house and ran into the veil of darkness provided by the night.
Bucky tried to run after you but it was too late.
He found no sight of you or any clue where you might have run away to.
Bucky walked inside the house and looked at Natasha who was still oblivious to the damage she had done and muttered one question.
"What have you done?!"

The city was truly a different world at night just with the way everything seems to take a breath of life. It was cooler, a breeze making its way through the buildings to cause goosebumps on any person walking by. It was cold enough that your friend had thought to try and hurdle you under their jacket, something you forgot to bring.
They didn’t seem to mind, pulling you under the warm blanket of a coat and rushing the two of you towards your apartment. You had just finished dinner—using it as a way to bond and meet up since work has separated you both for too long—and now we’re heading back to your apartment.
“You’re back,” one of your roommates speaks up from their location on the couch, “how was dinner?”
“Great, but I was freezing. You were right about bringing a jacket tonight, I really should’ve.”
“The winds tunnel through these buildings, it’s always good to pack a jacket.”
“Yes well thank you. Is it alright if my friend stays over?”
Your roommates waves a hand, dismissing her claim and focusing back on the tv show. The sounds of whatever bachelor show was playing quiets once you’ve shut your door behind you.
Your friend pins you with a look as she lays down flat into your bed, “what’s the deal with that person from work?”
“It’s really nothing, I think some people are just going through a rough time.”
“Okay well whatever—babe, it’s still not okay.”
There’s a creak in your bed once you’ve decided to join her, the old thing hanging on since you’ve not been able to afford a new one.
“Yeah sure they’ve made some rude comments, but they weren’t that bad.”
“Not to mention they also stole your idea and they’ve been aggressive towards you for no reason—tell them that they’re being a bitch.”
The emotions liked to confrontation are like sinking to the bottom of a body of water, suffocating. Your friend lies beside you, waiting, but her raised eyebrows give away her impatience, waiting to argue with you over your hesitation. A sigh makes it way out, a vocalization of how you’re feeling on the inside, “I really don’t know if I need to.”
“It’s less of a have to and more of a should do. Just be a bitch back,” she makes a poor attempt at reeling in her aggression after your expression of disgust, “or at least talk to someone higher up.”
“I’ll maybe talk to someone later—“ you put a hand up to silence her oncoming attack “—and that’s it. I appreciate you caring.”
“I just want you to be able to stand up for yourself.”
“I know, and I love you for that, but I’m done with stressful topics. I’d like to just talk about exciting things.”
She deadpans, “but this fun.”
A laugh filled amusement fills the room, your foot coming to shove her. There’s a pause after, ears turning into the smaller and more minute sounds. Dramatic stage music, though silenced by your door, it’s loud enough to still make an entrance in your room along with the sirens outside. The sheets rustle as your friend moves onto her side, body facing towards you. It was a gentle breeze until she began to fight off a grin, the thoughts in her mind almost driving a crazed expression in her face.
“Have you thought anymore about what I said?”
“You talk a lot, which of those many conversations are you mentioning?”
“The stress-relieving one.”
The words are quick to bring a similar crazed expression on your own face, one similar to your friend’s but more terrified.
“No.”
“Aw come on. I do it and it’s worked wonders, I still know—“
“I’ve heard enough for one night, you’re too public with it—how’re you not embarrassed?”
She rolls, resting her head on you, “you’re shy, I’m not. I don’t care what others say.”
“You’re weird.”
Her shoulders upturned in a shrugging motion, the vibration from her low hum ticking your stomach. The floor creeks again when she slings her feet off the mattress to find something to eat, leaving you alone for a minute. It seemed to stretch forever due to waiting every second to ask her a burning question. It was nearly on fire when she finally came back, the words tumbling from you.
“Who’re the people?”
It was, technically, four words that set off an hour and a half conversation.
Your friend’s persistently paid off after about two months of bringing it up. It started out as a question to check up, formed into a joke/tease, and ended up as a proposal. You’ve eventually thawed, only tonight feeling comfortable enough to ask, allowing yourself to be curious. It was curiosity, but you strayed far away from any sexual conversations, feeling that topic would actually throw you over the edge.
You pick at your nails, a nervous habit to ease the discomfort of the vulnerable conversation, “what do you do?”
“You mean my role? It’s what I said before, I’m a dominant in our relationship.”
“How often do you do it?”
“Sex?”
Her hand swats at your shoulder, enabling your fidgeting to become actions of aggression. You shove back, “fuck off.”
“Anyways, it depends on each relationship, but for us we fall into it most nights. Usually they come home and I can pick up the signs. I came to understand their body language about a month after us dating that they’re feeling a specific way.”
“Too intimate.”
“Oh yeah, it’s intimate and entirely built on trust. It’s why I love it so much,” your friend reached a hand over, stretching to reach until her fingers wrap around her phone, “I’ll send you their number. It’s entirely up to you from this point on. But genuinely though, if anything I say is making you uncomfortable let me know. I truly have just wanted to help.”
It wasn’t brought up again. An episode of some old show capturing the both of your attention the rest of the night, her scratchy laugh engraved in your mind from how often she found the dialogue hilarious. A small red mark forming from when she got too excited, jumping on the bed and bouncing your body to move and hit a dull item nearby. Thankfully you don’t have neighbors that occupy the room below you.
It was a sad goodbye when you both had the knowledge of how busy your schedules were. You had a form of contact, your phone, but you didn’t always have access to her in person. The lights in the apartment were shut off, the dark almost navy hue covers the room. You clicked your phone on, squinting from the onset of light before checking your recent text from her, “their” contact information sitting open on your phone for the night.
It turned out to be a weak battle, with the conflict being between man vs man. You had daily arguments with yourself, both sides—heart and mind—fighting with valid reasons. You don’t know if they’d be a weirdo overtime. They could not win your trust, or understand you, step over you like your coworker at work has been.
It could be a waste of time to be so intimate with someone and have the time come to a close, so you make a new space in your contacts for their number. You had a simple message typed out, introducing yourself and how you got their number, and then prompt turned your phone off.
The waiting period consumed you.
Brushing your teeth, you’d flip your phone to find that the notification was another spam email from a store you visited two years ago, reminding you to unsubscribe yet again. At work, you’d even pulled your phone from where it rested under your thigh to check whenever it buzzed. It was impossible to deny when the evidence was written all over your face, but you liked to believe you didn’t care.
The earth spun a whole two times and you’d still gotten no response. You checked your phone less, initial nerves transforming right into worry. Were you bothering them?
“Stop fretting,” your friend told you over the phone and then proceeding to let out a laugh at your embarrassed rant, all about how you regret reaching out.
“Hey, I wouldn’t have hooked you up if I thought they weren’t interested. It’s barely been two days.”
“You’re right,” your phone sat across from you, giving you the perfect view to stare at her personalized contact photo,
“Give it time.”
You had another speech about to spill about how you’re not going to obsessively check anymore, but that buzzed sound you’ve grown to respond to rapped against your wooden table.
Your lungs contract, closing when a contact with no profile photo and definitely no name appears. Your friend’s voice becoming background noise as your focus snaps to the unopened message, watching it as it slides away.
“Okay well I have to sleep. Love you, stop freaking out.”
The call ends abruptly, a habit of hers you’re usually frustrated with but now you’re grateful. Nerves at a new high for the day when a second message comes in. Feet patter on the hound, carrying you to climb into your room.
Realizing they’ve messaged you back is both an energy drainer and giver. Lights bright on your face while you’re unlocking your phone, clicking on the chat button. Your mind makes up the worst scenarios in hopes to keep your expectations low, but as your eyes sweep across the text a smile appeared on your face.
Long text summarized, they’d love to meet you in person and brief information was shared. They’d agreed to meet halfway at a coffee shop in Manhattan named, “coffee project nyc.”
The closest subway station was swarmed with a dozen people, the time on your phone being the explanation behind why others were brushing against you on the train. They contained to when after the train had arrived, pulling you along with them like a terrible tide.
Your phone map is a virtue, showing you the route until the cafe is in sight just across the street. It was across the street but your feet were stuck to the side you were on. Seconds passed like milliseconds, speeding up like your breathing.
The door had a little bell, one that rang when you walk through and sit down at the closest open seat to you. Eyes set on your phone screen like you were doing something meaningful by scrolling through already opened texts.
A new text appeared, a statement, telling you that they’d arrive. It wasn’t the intention, but you realized you hadn’t told them you had also arrived. The bell rung as it did for you, signaling to you and the others in the building that another had entered.
Her tone was clear when she spoke to you, leaning so she can look at your eyes. An air of calm around her when she introduced herself, saying how nice it was to meet in person.
“Is there anything you’d like from here? Natasha’s in line to get herself something.”
“Oh no,” you internally wince at how high your tone is pitched, “I’ll just pay for my own later!”
“It’s on us if you’d like any,” she repeats the offer with a smile. The scent from all the coffee beans and tea leaves is too addicting, filling your senses and pulling at the right heart strings to make you weak.
“If it’s okay could I maybe get a tea?”
“That’s perfectly fine. Natasha hasn’t ordered you yet, you can go tell her your order,” she says, words emphasized by her finger directing you to find the women fifth in line. An apology comes out as a whisper, feeling bad when you have to cut between two people holding a conversation.
“Hi,” you breathe, feeling nervous about being pushed to her warm body by those in line and others trying to move about.
“Breathe,” she says, pausing your sentence until she’s seen you visibly take a breath.
“Sorry,” you say, the unwarranted apology causing her eyebrows to furrow.
“Why sorry? You don’t have any reason to be.”
You say it again but she makes no pays if no mind, a gentle hand coming to rest under your forearm.
“Would you like something?“
The words you had spoken to wanda are repeated, asking about ordering a tea with another apology following right after. You fear she’s upset, but every movement she makes is kind, soft.
“You don’t have to apologize. Go wait with Wanda, I’ll bring it over once it’s made, okay?”
You thank her what feels like ten times, hoping each one is more sincere than the other before stepping away, mindful of the kicked up carpet. Wanda’s smiling at you, reaching over to push your chair out.
“Did you get a tea?”
“I did, thank you two—seriously—I appreciate this.”
Her response comes out as a hum, the words, ‘of course,’ mended together through the one sound, “how was your ride over? You mentioned the trip only being a few minutes, correct?”
“Usually yes.”
“Have you been here before then?”
“Not really, I don’t go out often. If I did I’d ruin my budget plan.”
The smell of the store is amplified once the cup is placed in front of you, the gentle steam floating off the top smelling exactly like the aroma in the small room. The seat to the right of you is pulled out, taken by Natasha a second later. Hers smells of coffee, a darker roast you’re familiar with from one of your roommates making it in the morning.
She picks through the sugars on the table, ignoring Wanda’s advice to leave the sweetness alone; Wanda mentions again how it impairs her dreams, giving her terrible nightmares instead. Natasha acknowledges what she says and still pours two in, her defense being the brand labeling itself as a ‘natural sugar’ as opposed to some other popular companies.
You turn to Wanda, “do you like to drink coffee or tea?”
“I do,” she says, fingers brushing under yours to stabilize the tilting hold you had on the cup, “every now and then I’ll get a tea.”
She quirks a quick smile, the mood fading fast once she’s turned her attention to Natasha and how bright the coffee has become. Natasha pulls the cup away from her extending grasp, bringing the cup to her lips with a grin.
“Do you work?”
“I do! I work in marketing at a real estate company, basically meaning I create pamphlets and design their websites. Do either of you have a job?”
Natasha keeps the mug in her hands, not letting go despite the heat, “we do. I work as a mechanical engineering, Wanda’s does corporate finances.”
You later worry about how your emotions are written on your sleeve seeing how they noticed the slightest change in your body language. Wanda lets her hand drift off of yours seeing as you’re now paying attention to how you’re holding it, “what do you do?”
“Nothing crazy like that. I sell art pieces, occasionally teach somewhere like an art class or work as a substitute for a school if needed.”
“Did you go to school for art?”
“I did, somehow passed to with how strict a few teachers were.”
They then ask to see a piece you’ve done, listening to every word you’re saying on every detail of each individual piece. You show ones you’ve sold, ones you’ve given as gifts to friends/family members, and some you’ve painted for yourself. You ease into the moment with every passing minute, tense muscles and fidgeting movements calming.
The room is small, but busy. A multitude of conversations being held in one place, all forming and coming together like the infamous background ambiance.
A watch on Wanda’s wrist catches light when she flicks her sleeve down to check the time, a deep sigh coming from her when she realizes it’s past 9:30PM, “it’s getting late.”
Natasha hums, grabbing your cups and stacking them to take to the dish bins nearby. You stand when she does, grabbing your coat to toss over your shoulders.
“We can walk you home if you’d like, it is quite dark out.”
You take a glance as well, the scarcity of light on the street enough for you to accept her help. The sidewalks are small, pushing you to walk so close to them you’ve stepped on Natasha’s shoes two times already. They keep close to you, sitting beside you in the subway ride. You’ve told them that you’re grateful they’ve offered to walk you back, but that you also feel bad for taking up their time. They keep reassuring you, every time gentle, if not gentler than the last.
The street becomes familiar again, the lights from your balcony coming into view. The little store building with the apartment complex above it, your little home. It’s never fully quiet, but at this minute in the hour it almost feels like it’s just the three of you. An occasional car, bike, and stranger may walk by, but you barely notice.
“Would you like to see my apartment?”
“I wouldn’t mind a tour,” wanda says, her words making you smile and excitedly being to unlock the door. It’s late enough that either your roommates are out or asleep, leaving you and them to walk into a silent space. It’s entirely too quick tour; only showing them your balcony, bedroom, living room, and kitchen while trying to be quiet for the one roommate trying to sleep.
Wanda calls your name, finding you in your bedroom after hearing where your voice came from and following it. Your room is reflectively dark, only light source coming from the dim lamp by your bed. The one you’ve been meaning to repair.
“How’re you feeling?”
“I’m good, a bit tired.”
“I mean about this.”
Your lips fall slightly ajar, taken a bit off guard. She’s not rushing you at all, leaning against your vanity. She’s even gone far enough to not make you even more nervous by moving her gaze anywhere but you.
“I—“ you freeze momentarily when you realize Natasha’s come to stand in your doorway, “I’d like to if that’s okay with you.”
“We’d love to. Later tonight I can send you some papers for you to look over whenever you feel ready.”
You nod, thanking them with a smile. They bid you goodnight, both mumbling sweet words about the night. They both pull you into them, wrapping their arms around you in a gentle embrace before pulling back. You’re inside with heating AC and yet when they pulled back you felt colder.
Once the doors shut, the rooms entirely too quiet, the silence emphasizing the emptiness of their disappearance. They already made an impression, their good nights making you feel twice elated. It shows in your night routine, a smile etched on your face from the night. How beautiful they are, how someone they wished to also see you again, how they were mindful and intentional.
You had gotten dressed, wrapped up in your sheets with your phone settled between you, scrolling through the sweet text they sent after and the documents. The first were fine, but the last few brought nerves to the surface. Explicit acts and suggestive themes filled the page, maybe half you’ve never heard of. They were reassuring though, stating that you’d all run through them together once finished. During the whole process they were helping to answer any questions or concerns you had until you were ready to print and fill it out. After a week and a half you make your relationship official.

During a mission there was a newborn baby abandoned in one of the warehouses and the Avengers knew that they couldn't just leave her.
They finished the mission and brought the baby home. A long discussion was made about what to do with the baby and it was decided that they were going to take her to a local orphanage that was until someone who they never expected to speak up and offered to raise the baby.
Natasha walked over and gently took the newborn baby out of Steve's arms.
Natasha has always wanted to be a mom but she never thought that she would actually become one.
After a lot of thinking and going through a long long list of baby names Natasha finally found the perfect one. She named the baby Y/N.
For the first week, baby Y/N was the most perfect baby ever. She hardly ever cried and slept wonderfully. Natasha never thought a baby could be this calm
That was until week two came along then baby Y/N's health drastically went downhill.
Baby Y/N went from hardly crying to crying what felt like all day. Nothing that Natasha tried seemed to be working. Steve offered to take the baby to the doctor so Natasha could get some sleep he knew that it's been days since she'd had any sleep mainly because he had stayed up with her.
Steve came back from the doctor and told Natasha that the baby had colic. Steve explained that colic was when a baby cries for no reason. He also said to Natasha that the doctor has scheduled an allergy appointment in case it's caused by a milk allergy.
The allergy test came back negative so the only thing that could be done was to let the colic pass on its own.
A week passed and things weren't getting any better after another doctor's visit all the doctors said that it was normal.
---⧗---
It was nearly 3 in the morning and Natasha was exhausted and could not handle the crying anymore. She was walking around her bedroom gently rocking the baby.
"Please stop crying." She said on the verge of tears herself.
The door opened and Clint walked in.
"Still no improvements?" He asked.
"No." Natasha sighed as she gently placed the crying baby in the cot hoping that she would tire herself out and fall asleep.
Clint could see that she was not okay. "Want me to take care of her so you can have a nap you can sleep in my room." He offered kindly.
She gave a weak smile, "Thank you, Clint."
She left the room and went into Clint's room. She had set an alarm for 30 minutes as she knew that Clint had to get home to his wife and kids. She honestly had no idea how Clint's wife Laura could handle three kids all by herself especially when the youngest was barely four months old.
---⧗---
Things were getting a little better baby Y/N was still crying but it wasn't as much as the last week but Natasha was the most exhausted she'd ever been.
She was sitting on the couch feeding the baby and she could barely keep her eyes open. She ended up falling asleep completely unaware of what was happening to the baby in her arms.
The Avengers had just come back from a mission. They walked into the living room to find baby Y/N alone screaming in the baby bouncer and Natasha was nowhere in sight.
"Natasha?" Steve called out as he carefully picked the baby up and looked around for her
They found her lying on the floor curled up in a ball crying
"What happened?" Clint asked as he kneeled beside her and placed his hand on her shoulder.
"I dropped her." she sniffed. "I fell asleep on the couch holding her and when I woke up she was on the floor."
Clint helped Natasha up off the floor and led her to the couch.
Bruce walked over and started checking the baby to make sure that she was okay. "She's fine Natasha babies are tougher than you think."
Steve tried to hand the baby back to Natasha but she turned away from him "No, I don't want to hurt her again." she said.
"You won't," Bruce assured her.
The rest of the Avengers stayed silent in case what they said would make the situation worse
"You're just stressed and overwhelmed right now." Clint urged her to take the baby again. "She needs her mom."
"I can't be her mom I'm not good enough just take her back to the orphanage shell be better off with other parents," Natasha said.
"That's not true," Bruce said, his tone gentle . "It is though." She said and tried to stand up.
Clint stopped her and took her back down to the couch. "You are a wonderful mother. You're just stressed right now. We all saw how much you adored the baby before she got colic and it won't last forever."
"You don't know that." She said bitterly.
"I do all of my kids have had it and they eventually got over it and they're just fine," Clint told her.
"And in time the same will happen to Y/N and she will be that happy baby you knew before. Trust us Natasha we wouldn't lie to you." Bruce said chiming in.
Natasha took a deep breath and looked up at everyone's faces. She knew there was a part of her that agreed with them but right now she couldn't see that it would get better. It felt like things had just kept getting worse. But she knew she needed to trust her friends. They hadn't lied to her so far, and she had no reason to think they would start now.
"Okay." She said with a sad smile. "I'll keep trying."
Natasha gently took the finally sleeping baby from Steve being very careful not to wake her and placed a kiss on her forehead.
"You dont have to do this alone Nat we'll all step in to help," Steve reassured her.
"Thank you," Natasha said looking around and smiling at her friends.
---⧗---
It took quite a while for baby Y/N to finally get ever the Colic but when she did she became the happy and calm baby that she was before. Everyone was happy especially Natasha that the constant crying had finally stopped but what they weren't prepared for was when Y/N became a toddler and just how much of a handful this tiny human would become.

The amount of work stresses you out but you are not going to let the opportunity slide. You can finally edit a text that will end up in one of the less popular magazines, but it's still going to be out. Doesn't matter how insignificant it will be, your name will be on this work and you need to give a 100% out of you.
It's been 2 weeks since Carol's party, you haven't seen her or any of her friends since that night and to be completely honest you thought about Natasha and Wanda …. not more than once. When you came home and changed the bandaid on your hand the next day, you reminded yourself of how caring and worried they were, but also very smug and self indulgent, after that… nothing. You had school, work, shifts at the bar and your friends to care about. Not mentioning your phone caller issue that you will have to address and take care of at some point. Your life fell back into place after that night, gym, school, work, repeat. You have to keep the flow going or it's really easy to get lost in this kind of lifestyle. It's like running at full speed, you can't trip. The faster you go the harder you are going to hit.
“You better do it right yn.” That low voice scared you coming from behind your shoulder. Loki was always creepy, not in a perverted way but still creepy.
“Yes boss, on it.” Short and sweet, don't discuss with him, you have learned it the hard way. It's for the best to make him feel validated. You assume that he had a rough childhood by the way he treats other people and by the not so quiet conversations he has with his brother in the office. You can't help but hear them, all the workers do, and you learned to have some understanding towards him.
You are at your last working hour, the phone is thrown into the drawer so it won't occupy you but your smart watch is vibrating with the amount of messages you are getting. You ignore every single one of them even when the vibration is traveling up your arm, leaving goosebumps on your skin. Last ten minutes you spend on cleaning your desk and putting your stuff into the bag. As you run down two flights of stairs you think about your plan for the rest of the day. You are done with work for now, you have spent half of the night doing extra work for school to get a little bit ahead and it worked amazingly on your anxiety, or the lack of it. You decide on visiting Steve on your way home, even if you don't have a shift at the bar, you enjoy spending time with him. As someone opens the door in front of you to let you exit first, with a short “thanks” you are outside, changing your plans immediately after you feel the warm sun. At this time of the year it is rare and you are planning on using that antidepressant window. The skin on your face feels like it is covered in a thin layer of warmth getting deeper inside of you, embracing your brain in an endorphin hug. You will visit Steve later, for now you are going to grab a nice coffee from the bike/coffee stand near the park and have a walk with your headphones on, ignoring the whole world.
“Can you start picking up your goddamn phone!” You turn around just in time to stop an angry Darcy right in front of you. Her face seems worried just as she is angry. Right behind her there is Carol clearly having a laugh at her girlfriend's tantrum. When you see her smile you can help but join and embrace Darcy in a hug.
“Sorry Darcy, work stuff. What’s up, what's so important that you came here?” It's unusual for any of your friends to arrive at any of your work places, from your work friends they know only Steve as they hang out at the bar sometimes, but they dont push to get to know everybody around you and you are grateful for that. Darcy points at the car that her girlfriend is already entering and with a big sigh you throw behind you all the warm sunny plans you had and follow along. The car always smells new and you are wondering if Carol is actually exchanging her car for the same one, just new, from time to time. Seems like something she would do. Leather seats squeak under your touch and you take your place in the backseat and you hate every second of it. It's like wearing leather pants, for you it feels like biting a cotton towel, or having your sleeves getting wet, when you wash your hands. Uncomfortable at least.
Carol starts driving and Darcy looks at you with a really excited expression on her face.
“No.” You say to her, making her confused right away.
“I didn't even say anything.”
“But you are going to, and you are excited, which means i have to do stuff, and you could text me what’s all this is about, but you didn't, so kidnapping me is the only way for me to participate in whatever evil plan you made.” She seems almost offended but it lasts three seconds before she starts laughing.
“You know me so well.” She is slouching over the back of her sweet so she can face you and it makes Carol uncomfortable, worrying that if anything happens the seat belt would work correctly. With one hand on the wheel, Carol puts the other on Darcy's thigh and turns her around. She turns off music and with a steer voice starts talking.
“Yn can hear your love, don't do that please.” Darcy takes Carol hand into hers not taking off her thigh, just to confirm that she understood and she is sorry.
“Yes daddy, I'm sorry.” Carol is rarely mad at Darcy, she doesn't really have a reason to, they made for each other, at least in your opinion, but when she is Darcy will use any pet name she can to melt her girlfriends heart and get on her good side again, and it's clearly working wonders.
“You are having a date Yn.” Carol informs you and you know this is a way of hers to mess with Darcy, the fact that she wasn't the one to share the news infuriates her.
“I was supposed to, ugh…. I have an outfit for you at Carol's house and we will give you a ride to the restaurant.”
“That's amazing, thank you very much… but I have work. My shift at the bar starts in-”
“In two days Yn, I have access to your calendar, don't try anything with me.” Feeling defeated, you slouch back a little bit and let your eyes follow the world outside of the car. Carol turns on the radio again after a minute of silence, assuming that everything was said and it won't be irritating for anyone. For a second you even let yourself sink into music and the outside world. Sun is peeking through the small alleys between the buildings, falling on your face in a pattern. You remember briefly that when you weren't able to fall asleep as a child your parents, or someone, you can't really remember, was taking you into the car and driving a couple of times around the block. Street Lamps or the sun flashing from time to time on your face was making you feel good, safe, comfortable, like there is something so bigger then you and everything around you. You found comfort in unlimitless nothingness and even now as an adult you feel safe. You are able to fight the sleepy state, well maybe you drifted away a little bit, and as you see Carol's house you are fully conscious again, anxiety of what's coming slowly creeping in.
You enter the house, talk with Carol and Darcy about the last party and upcoming events, work stuff, your studies and Darcy's new projects at her school. You can never fully understand what she is talking about, too much chemical talk but you are so proud of her and happy that she can feel fulfilled with where she is. You are always interested in Carol's work and life, maybe that's why you are the closest to her among all your friends. She appreciates the way you treat her as her, not as Darcy's girlfriend or treat both of them as one, because as close as they are, they are still themself. They help you prepare, get your hair fixed, put a nice outfit together, and Carol even let you borrow some of her perfume. In no time you are back in the car going to the unknown location, to meet with a stranger. You are reminding Darcy that you agreed for half an hour of this show and then you are going to be even. She tries to extend it for an hour, using arguments like “ you can't get to know a person in half hour”, or “ you won't be even able to eat”. As you pull in front of the restaurant you see three Michelin stars in the front of it and you almost choke.
“ARE YOU KIDDING ME? IN HERE I'M NOT GOING TO BE ABLE TO GET A GLASS OF WATER WITH MY BUDGET!” It was louder than you anticipated and the doorman put his focus on the car in front of him. He started going into your direction but Darcy opened the window at the right time.
“Everything is okay, we just need a second.” He smiled and without any words pointed at the parking spot a little bit further from the main door. Carol took a clue and parked there. Darcy took her seat belt off and turned to you, making you jump.
“Darcy this is too much, and why do I even have to get so dressed up for someone I will turn down in the first two minutes?” You don't want to do this, and you can't be more clear than that. As bad as it sounds you are planning on being just as honest with your date.
“Give them a chance, Jesus, why are you so negative, they're gonna pay for you.” She got out of the car and opened your door rushing you outside. The restaurant is far enough from your house to have a real struggle with coming back, so you have to rely on Darcy and you are not enjoying this feeling. Just when you stepped outside it came to you what she said.
“They!? What do you mean by They ?! Darcy is that -'' You can't even finish, Darcy closes your door, jumps back into her seat and as in a getaway car tells Carol to drive. You can only hear a faint have fun coming from her window. You run your hand down your face, taking a deep breath in and decide to get through it as ripping off a bandaid, fast but painfully. You straighten out your outfit, little crevices created by the short ride are easy to clean up and the cleaned up outfit helps you a lot with your confidence. You feel like you will need a lot of it during that dinner. Constant tag and pull with the redheads is exhausting and staying afloat as they try to drown you down feels like a survival chore. You can't help but be angry at Darcy, you know she wants good, you know you promised but you feel a little bit betrayed. You can't really pinpoint why but the feeling spreads uncomfortable through your body, or maybe it's just the cold that went back with the sun setting down. Beautiful purple color of the sunset lets you grab the last bits of energy, hope and the feeling of rest. You know it will end as soon as you turn around to enter the restaurant or when the sun will finally set. It's sad that you can't wait for the latter.
“Half hour Yn, just half hour.” You talk to yourself hoping it will help you feel the back bone of your character and get through it smoothly enough. What 30 minutes can do right?
You enter the building, or rather you are led by the doorman through two sets of doors. After the second one you are met with a man in a suit, he looks important, you are wondering if that's the owner, maybe a menager, they are always around right? He looks so elegant that his status needs to be at a high level. Little lost in your head you hear him speak when the doors are closing behind you.
“May I take your coat miss?” Miss? Coat? You thought that this man is… and he is just…. It's going to be long, thirty minutes.. This is not something you enjoy, not something that is a part of your world. You just need to survive this. You are wondering how the man will know which coat is yours. He didn't give you a number nor did he take your name. It's all strange and the coat belongs to Carol, you are worrying now about getting it back later.
Restaurant seems much bigger from the outside. The building is huge but the dining area pleasantly small. The kitchen must take a lot of space, you think to yourself approaching a Host of the restaurant. Small wooden desk in front of him looks amazing. Golden leaves decorating the legs as a vine. The whole place is in darker colors but it gives a more elegant and fancy look to it. Smell is not overwhelming which is usually a problem for you in the restaurants, not in this. You can hear a light chatter around,
“Welcome, do you have a reservation?” He asks you with his back straight, his tie carefully secured around his neck. Do you have a reservation? This whole thing feels so out of blue, catching you off guard in every single step, it seems.
“Um… I….” You can't recall their last name, why can't you recall their last name? You fall back into the memory, you follow the steps of the day you meet them. You went to work, bus ride, Wanda opened the door for you, she had her suit on, her shirt was open, she had a messy bun on top, she had this nice perfume on her, the same she used last time you saw her at the Carols party. You could feel it clearly when she was tending your wound. Darcy introduced them to you. She said their names, they are both lawyers or Wanda is a lawyer and Natasha is in finances, yes that seems correct. Did she say their last name ? You remember now, she didn't but they gave you their card…. which you didn't even look at, before throwing it away. Then it comes to you, you were supposed to text them last time after the accident, they gave you a new card and you actually have it on you at the back of your phone case. It is very embarrassing trying to get your phone out of its case but also necessary. Host is waiting for you patiently, his face emotionless, he was definitely well trained for his job.
“It should be on the name-” You finally take out a card and look at the last name. “-Romanoff, or Maximoff. One of those.” It's strange to see that they are married, but they still use separate last names, it might be just for business and you decide on asking them if you will have to speak at all. At least it's going to be something to talk about. You smoothly follow the host to your table, moving between the tables you can see all the food prepared for other guests and your stomach lets you know about its empty state. Smell coming from each of the tables will not be very helpful in the next 30 minutes, because there is no way that you are going to let them pay for anything, not with these prices. At the far left corner of the restaurant you can see Wanda and Natasha chatting between each other, their hands together on the table, Natasha is lightly smoothing her wifes hand with her thumb, laughing at something she said. It's the first time they don't seem like big, scary rich assholes, more human than before. You are afraid, or maybe you are sure it's going to drop as soon as they are going to see you. First to notice you is Natasha, she lets go of Wandas hand and stands up to greet you. You don't want to make a scene in the restaurant, so you kiss her cheek as her hand lingers on your waist and you do the same with Wanda. Looking at them, seeing how dressed up they are, you are glad that Darcy made you wear the clothes she prepared, if you would dress yourself, you would for sure stand out, not in a good way. You take your place on an empty chair when Wanda starts speaking to you.
“I hope you didn't have any problems finding us?” She sounds soft, soft enough for you to find it degrading.
“Except not knowing your last names it was pretty easy.” You say in a rough voice and that makes Natasha look back to the man that brought you to the table.
“You didn't have you, I gave him clear instructions. It's not that hard to do the only thing you are here for. I'm going to talk to him.” She drops the napkin on an empty table and stands up. You are not sure how you find your voice, maybe it's the nervous atmosphere that Natasha is adding to, or maybe your empathy for a fellow customer service worker, but you speak up.
“Sit down!” To your surprise, she does with a shocked face, while her wife laughs a little.
“Can we just order and get this over with? It feels like work.” You ask and that makes Wanda look at you quizzingly.
“What do you mean baby? Get it over with?” You put down the menu that you were reading and look her in the eyes.
“I promised Darcy that I will be here for at least half an hour. It started five minutes ago and I'm counting the time. I didn't want to be here and I found out just when she dropped me off that I'm meeting with you both.” She looks hurt and you need to address that before it gets more messy, even more that Natasha looks angry. You look between them and continue.
“Look-” You run your hand on your face, as it is supposed to take off the worry. “-I’m sorry, but i'm not looking for dates, or relationships. Any kind of relationship.” You say pointing your finger between them.
“Can we just spend this 25 minutes talking or whatever and I promise you won’t have to waste any more time on me.” That makes Wanda's face soften. She looks like she is about to say something but Natasha cuts in.
“Sure, let's just order something.” In the next three minutes you placed an order and as much as they pursued you to get something to eat you didn't get anything. You got a coffee which cost twenty five dollars. You regret that decision, thinking that you would be okay with the tap water. Your stomach starts to hurt with how empty it is and all the smells are affecting it in a horrible way. Wanda and Natasha placed their orders and food came in faster then it took to order it. They are really at the top in this restaurant. They start eating while you enjoy your coffee. Wanda tries to start a light conversation, to make it a little bit less awkward for all of you.
“So Yn, Darcy told us you were working today, was it a good shift?”
“Decent, I got my first article to do a final edit to.” You say and take a sip of coffee, looking at Wanda enjoying her pasta alfredo. You feel yourself salivating and you probably look too long at her food, because it makes her wonder if you actually want anything.
“Yn, are you sure you are not hungry?” Wanda says and her wife finally joins the conversation.
“We know we picked an expensive restaurant, let us get you something to eat sugar.” She is about to call the waiter to the table again.
“No. No, Natasha no, I'm really okay. Please don’t.” She looks at you, deeply studying your eyes, knowing that you are doing that because you are uncomfortable with the prices, but still she doesn't want to go against you, as much as she wishes she could. With each passing time she spends with you, she realizes that you can be destructive for yourself, and she would gladly take that away from you. You feel your phone vibrate in your pocket but you decide to keep it there for the next fifteen minutes. Time feels like it stretches itself, making you feel like it has been over an hour. You keep your fingers on the brim of your coffee mug, trying to make your legs stop shaking, and your muscles twitching. It's not that you are nervous, you are past that, but your medication is wearing off and you can feel it. At this time you would either take a second dose if you were at work, or with your friends, or just people in general, or you would take some actions to make yourself comfortable. Caffeine doesn't help, and it was a bad idea as it just makes you more and more sleepy with every second. Your left hand is laying on the table and the tablecloth feels awful against your fingertips. Material feels like it lingers on your skin even after you pick your hand up, it's too soft and too harsh at the same time, like a used sandpaper sheet. You wish you could pick your hand up but you can't. It feels embarrassing to do so, not because of the action but because of the reason to do so, so you force yourself to keep it that way. Only fifteen minutes longer. It feels like you said it to yourself an hour ago but with the time speed in your brain, it was only a minute. You are physically restraining yourself from counting seconds, numbers help you stay sane but you can't do that right now, if you would, everything that two woman in front of you are speaking about would go into the void, and as a center of entertainment for them right now you can’t allow yourself to drift off, they would notice. Clutter of silverware feels like it's happening at the front part of your skull, Lady at the table on your right has some good insights about new generations of doctors, she is a doctor too, she has her id clipped to her bag. Man to whom she is speaking is sweating a lot, he is nervous and it seems like they are on a date. One girl, a waiter, has had enough of today, she stands at the corner next to the bar, nobody can see her, or maybe nobody just pays attention, except you. Sometimes putting on a work uniform equals disappearing. She is running her hands on her thighs, looking up to the ceiling, she tries to stop crying. That makes you look around the room, a man in a big suit is red on his face, he was just yelling, or arguing since you didn't hear anything before. He shoves food into his mouth like it's going to calm his nerves.
“Are you even listening?” Natasha calls out and just then her voice breaks through all the loud noise around you.
“Hm? I'm sorry I just-”
“Wasn't listening. Look, I understand you don't want to be here, but a little decency wouldn't hurt you. We are trying hard to get to know you, not use you, not sponsor you, not even embarrass you, just get to know you. I don't understand what's so awful about it.” She throws a napkin at the table and stands up.
“I need to use the restroom, I'll be right back.” She looks at her wife when she speaks, she is mad, you didn't mean to make her mad, or disappointed, you really do appreciate the interest.
“Nat, I really didn't mean to- '' You are trying to defend yourself but she is already gone, you lie your head low and massage your traps with your hands, it's painful but helpful. You get this uneasy feeling inside your stomach and you can't say if that's the lack of food or the nerves. Just then you realize that you picked your hand up from uncomfortable table cloth and you make a mental note not to put it down at the same place.
Wanda swallows the food she just finished, your time is almost up and you are grateful for it, even more that since the moment you went into the restaurant you were doing nothing more but disappointing everybody, including yourself. You decide to speak to her, maybe try to explain yourself a little why you are acting that way.
“Im sorry Wanda.”
“I know.” A moment of silence lingers between you when she grabs her wine glass, not taking her back off of her chair, stretching her arm out.
“I'm sorry about her, I’ m not saying she is not right yn, i feel the same way, but my wife is just very frustrated by you.” You hang your head low, like a child being scolded, you tell yourself that you shouldn't care about their opinion, but it matters, everybody's opinion matters and you hate that about yourself.
“I wasn't aware that I was that irritating for her. That's just an additional reason for why you shouldn't waste your time on me Wanda.” She smiles at you and shakes her head.
“Sexually frustrated Yn, emotionally frustrated. She really wants to get to know you, and she is being on her best behavior holding back every second we are spending with you.” That makes you even more confused.
“What do you mean?”
“You are a precious one aren't you?” This time you can be sure it was degrading. You straighten up your posture.
“That little stunt you did at the party?” She leans in, making you once again lost in the smell of her perfumes. You don't say anything but she can see on your face how oblivious you are.
“You remember that moment when Natasha went to you to simply try and devour you? That little stunt you pulled with her belt? Please you had to see her reaction, she has the same look every time she looks at you, and to be honest i don't blame her. I had a fun night thanks to you baby, it's a shame you weren't there.” She finishes the sentence and then her wine. You feel like you have finished all the air, it's hard to breathe and it's too warm, and you don't understand those feelings, they put you in a fight or flight state, but at the same time you are glued to the chair, not able to move. Wanda puts her hand on yours and interlocks your fingers, you are not able to stop her or yourself.
“Yn, breath.” She looks a little worried but at the same time highly entertained.
“What's going on?” Natasha comes back to the table and her voice brings you back and makes you let go of Wanda’s hand like it's burning you.
“Oh nothing love, I just told Yn how much fun I had because of her after the party.”
“Wanda-” Natasha says in a scolding way, seeing the state Wanda put you in. “- I apologize for my wife's sugar. Sometimes she can't keep her mouth shut.” Their holding hands and being so tender with each other, it makes you feel like an intruder.
“I thought you like it wide open.” Wanda's comment makes you choke on your coffee and it goes down the wrong pipe, sending you into a coughing spree. A girl, the waiter you saw before comes right in to check on you. You assure her that everything is okay, but she still leaves a glass of water for you on the side, sending you a warm smile.  Wanda and Natasha cut the topic seeing in what way it's affecting you and you fall into light conversation for the last couple of minutes. You ask them about work and they can't say much other than it’s classified sounding like from csi miami series, but either way you are very much interested in stories they encounter while being at work.
Your phone vibrates a couple of more times and at the fifth time you can’t not pick it up. You assume who is trying to reach you but as you pull your phone out of the inside pocket in your jacket you can see that you were very wrong. You have ten messages and five missed calls, all from Shuri, and she never calls you. You immediately get this worried look and they can see it.
“What's going on Yn?”
“Is everything okay?” You don't even pick your head up to look at them.
“I'm sorry I need to call back. I'm sorry.” You dial Shuri on your phone and call her back without getting up from the table. You just turn your body side to them to get a little bit more private. She pics up after two dial tones.
“Shuri!? Is everything okay? What's going on?” You are holding your phone with your right hand and playing with the rings on your left hand. Your voice is low trying not to disturb anybody's dinner or conversations, fortunately your table is far enough from others. Natasha and Wanda pay close attention to you, their hands together in a caring manner.
“Now?” You ask and look at your watch.
“I'm really far away from the city-” You pinch your nose with your fingers.
“- I can try to call a cab-” A moment of silence from your side let's Wanda slip a fast question.
“Is something wrong?” She whispers to you laying her hand on the table close to you. You look at her apologetically.
“-it's not about the money Shuri. I'm just limited right now. How much time do I have? An hour? Okay, yeah I'm going to figure something out, don't worry about it I got you, just send me the location.” With that you hang up the phone and start looking around to collect your things, which you don't have because everything is in your coat. You look at them and you don't know what to say, you are just about to cut short a 30 minute meeting in which you already disappointed them so much. They are both worried that much you can say but Natsaha is definitely clenching her jaw, it's not a good sign. You try to find in yourself the right words to turn them down one last time, but you can't, not with this level of stress.
“I need to go.” You stand up looking between both of them. You take thirty dollars from your pocket and put it under your coffee mug.
“I'm sorry.” With that you leave them and don't provide them any explanation, to be honest they didn't ask. You move into the exit and wait a second for the man to give you your, actually Carol’s coat. You thank him and go outside trying to figure out what you are going to do.
Natasha and Wanda, a little disappointed with how things went, decided to finish dinner and head home. Fifteen minutes after you left they exit the restaurant and wait for their car to be brought. Just as they receive keys from the worker they hear a loud conversation on the side of the building. Natasha looks around the corner and sees you packing around with your phone in your ear, for a second she thinks about leaving you but her wife walks past her towards you.
“I understand but I don't have enough cash! You know how far it is, i can cash app the money whats the problem?! No don’t- . Ugh!” Clearly someone hung up on you. You are looking at your phone typing aggressively, you seem worried out of your mind.
“Okay Yn what's going on?” Wanda asks when her wife joins her and you are surprised to see them. You take a second before you reply.
“I can’t find a cab, it's nothing really. Again sorry it turned out this way.” Your phone rings again and you pick it up so fast that the second ring tone doesnt come.
“Yes, yes I called. I need a cab to the city center-” You pace around not being able to stay in place, even more that you just got this feeling in your legs that you can't describe. Each night before sleep, when your medicine wears off completely your legs have this tingly feeling, like slight electric shocking waves going through your muscles. It's nothing pleasant. Usually a hot shower helps but the alternative is just to keep moving, so that's what you do.
“- HOW MUCH? Okay yeah, yeah you too.” You sit down, cross legged at the curb, your left palm is open while your right is holding the phone, lightly tapping it on your left. Natasha crouches in front of you and tries to catch eye contact. You don't look up so she snatches the phone from your palm.
“Hey!” You reach to grab it back but she already gave it to Wanda that stands behind her.
“Tell us what's wrong, sugar?” You look between them, they look at you gently, worried, trying to read your expressions while you are breathing heavily with stress, your upper back is tense and you would love to shake it off of you. Without giving them too much information you speak up.
“I need to pick up someone from the city center and I should be there-'' You look at your watch trying to figure out how much time passed from your conversation with Shuri. “- in forty minutes. I called a couple of companies but they either don't have anybody in the area, or they don't have a cash app and I don't have that much cash on me.” You explain carefully, trying hard not to sound crazy or overemotional, even if you feel your body shaking. Natasha is standing up, it makes you feel like she is hovering above you, and you don't have energy to fight for your phone. To your surprise she stretches her hand towards you and helps you stand up. You follow, and the feeling of her skin on yours is very different from Wandas. It's hard to tell if that's a good or a bad thing. With both of them your whole relationship, if you can even call seeing them three times, a relationship, you had an off feeling but at the same time some connection that wanted to be made.
“Come on, we’re gonna drive you.” Natasha says with her face straight, she takes the space leaving no room for you to decline. You are in the tight spot, Shuri is counting on you and you are needed, there is a big possibility you won't be able to do this without their help, and oh god how much you hate it.
“No, i'm going to- i will-” Wanda interrupts your protest already opening the front passenger door for you.
“You will do what? You are out of options, Yn. Get in.” And you do, with her hand on the small of your back you take the space next to Natasha. For a second you are confused about why you are sitting in the front seat.
“ Tell me where to go.” Natsaha doesn't even take a look at you, she seems pissed and you don't blame her, you would probably hate yourself in their position. ruining the date, making them do something for you, ruining their day schedule. They both probably have a thousand better places to be right now, and they are stuck with you. Awkwardness of the situation doesn't help the anxiety you have about the passing time, you are scared of running late, always, but in this situation even more. After giving them the address and helping with directions from time to time you are 5 minutes away from your destination.
“So who is Shuri?” Wanda asks from the back seat, taking your focus off of the road in front of you.
“Oh she studies at the university with me, she is Tony Stark’s best student.” You explain briefly.
“That Stark? What a small world.” Natasha comments taking a fast look at her wife in the back mirror.
“ That's nice, baby, but I meant who is she to you.” Are you imagining things or does she sound jealous? You can't help but wonder. You are not sure what makes you open up in front of them in any way, but you do.
“She is my-” you make a little pause, wondering what words you should use. “-friend, a really good friend.”
“Hm a really good one you say?” Wanda is pushing you a little bit trying to bring some more information out of you.
“Yeah, we were together for two years, she is like family to me. Actually her whole family kind of took me in, as a part of them.” Too much Yn, too much, You bite your tongue, probably a little too late, you are mad at yourself for revealing that much about your past, to total strangers. That was always an issue for you, if someone was willing to listen you were eager to talk. That's unfortunately not a safe thing to do, at least usually.
“So we went out to pick up your ex?” Natasha is straight forward, and strangely you respect that. At that moment you arrive in front of elementary school.
“Actually no.” You answer quickly and get out of the car, looking straight at the little boy waiting with his teacher near the gate. You walk in their direction.
“JUNIOR!” You yell out for him and the moment he sees you, his backpack is on the ground and he runs into your direction. You catch him into your arms and spin him around as he hugs himself close to your neck, securing his legs around your torso. You walk still holding him up to pick up his backpack. You didn't realize that both Natasha and Wanda got out of the car and were approaching you.
“It's been a while since we saw you miss Yn. Have a nice day.” Teacher sends Junior T’Challa a wave and goes back into the building. You are written down on the list to pick up Shuri’s nephew. It's not the first time for you to do that, but it's true that it's been a while. Boy refuses to let you go as you try to pick up his backpack. Before you can do it, struggling a little bit Natasha snatches it from the ground looking down at you.
“Yn? Who is that?” Junior asks you and to be honest you hoped that they would already leave.
“This is Natasha and Wanda, they drove me here, which I'm very thankful for, but now they have to go. Right?” You hope that the hint is not too small.
“Actually we have the whole day reserved for you Yn. You and this little boy now.”
“Im T'Challa Junior.” He says proudly, getting out of your arms at the same time.
“It's Shuris nephew.” You kneel down, fixing his jacket. The water proof material got stuck in the zipper. You take the piece out and zip it all the way up, trying to keep him nice and warm.
“She got stuck with Profesor Stark.” Boy gets visibly sad after that information. You are thinking for a second if you should do something with him, or just get him home and take care of your responsibilities, which to be honest are piling up. You got three texts about essays that are needed for tomorrow. All for the same class and the same topic, which is the worst case scenario for you.
“Don't worry, Yn here is actually taking you to the theme park. We are going to have a lot of fun.” Natasha throws information out of nowhere, without asking you, giving you any heads up, and taking full control over the situation, and you thought for a split second to get violent with her. How dare she use a little boy's emotions against you? Yes, sure, it's a nice thing to do, but you told them specifically that you don't have too much time, that you have half an hour for them and that's it, that you don't want to be near them or do more than necessary to keep your promise. Which part of that she didn't get? Wanda notices how angry you got after her wife’s idea, and as much as she thinks about resolving this issue, this also might be a good idea to show you that they are not so bad. She kneels down next to you to get to the boys and your eye level, her eyes are soft, apologetic almost.
“It's going to be fun, Yn. You’ll see.” Junior gets excited and follows Natasha to the car, you are right behind them with wanda. How are you supposed to take happiness out of his hands? You are not a monster.
“Cheer up Yn.” Wanda is walking on a very thin line.
“Cheer down Wanda, this is hopefully the last time I have to see you both.” Leaving shocked Wanda behind, you get into the place with Junior on the back and let Natasha decide where to go. Make him happy, and survive. That's all that matters right now. You would give your life for this boy, what's one day, even if it means you staying up all night to catch up with your work, because of course you agreed to take those additional papers for tomorrow. You need money, lots of it, so you need to work… a lot. Just as you were getting nervous about it and your bank account your phone started going off with text messages. One after another, drilling a hole in your calmness. You don't even read them, you decide to call right away and you can't be bothered enough that you are not alone.
“What do you want?” Wanda looks at you worried, but smiles at the little boy to keep him calm.
“No.” Some arguing can be heard through the phone on the other side of the call. Even when you put it on the lowest volume, it's so loud that they can hear.
“You do want me to starve, don't you?... At the end of the week, that's all I have to say to you. Leave me alone.” You finish your call and mute your phone, of course after filing Darcy and Shuri up on what's happening and where are you going. Wanda and Natasha didn't ask, hoping you will explain what the call was about, it didn't sound good.
The rest of the day passed good but horrible slowly. Junior had so much fun, riding with Natasha and playing games with Wanda, or sitting down and eating corn dogs with you. Seeing him happy makes you happy, but the mental load that you are carrying with you is heavy enough that you can't relax or enjoy this for even a second. Going through stuff in your head is a normal thing for you, but at the end of the day, when you're actually sitting down to do what you have to do you feel like you went through the same task five times already. It's simply dreadful, not mentioning the lack of any satisfaction when you are actually done.
Shuri tells you that she is already home, Junior is tired, and you are also so ready to go home. You asked Natasha and Wanda, who were trying so, so, so hard to get to you in any way, that it was irritating at some point, to give T'Challa a ride. Normally you would feel bad about it but it was their idea in the first place.
Shuris home is a little bit outside of the city, not far from the subway thankfully. When Natasha parks her car at the side of the street, you collect your bag and get out of the car. Walking to the other side of it you zip your jacket up, goosebumps all over your body, reminding you physically how cold it is at this time of year. Street lights give off your favorite time of the day vibe, even if it's far till three am. You open the door on the right side and slowly unbuckle Junior from the seat.
“Don’t.” You tell Wanda, seeing her undoing her seatbelt, also to go out and help you. Surprisingly she listens to you. You take the boy into your arms and let him hug you half asleep, you hold him up with your right hand and take his backpack with your left. It's heavier than it looks. Actually they both are, or maybe you are just really tired, it's been a long day. you go to the gate with him and Wanda and Natasha are watching your every move. You ring the bell at the gate and later the main doors are open. Two people go out of the house, the older woman takes the boy from your hands and the younger takes the back pack. Redheads can't hear a thing but they can see you talking with the younger woman.
“I don't know how to thank you. He texted me half way throughout the day, how much he missed you and how much fun he is having.” Shuri is so genuine with you, she always was, pretty tough sometimes, but always real, and you respect that.
“You know I love this boy, he is family.”
“And you are ours Yn. You have always been, and you will always be a part of this family.” These cheesy moments between you two is not something any of you are used to, even when you were together,” i love you” sounded more like a, “bye i see you later”, rather than “my heart is with you every second when we are apart”. Romanticizing your life much? Maybe, but how can you not, when you want to survive in this world, with your heart intact. Shuri hugs you for a goodbye, and gives you a light kiss on the cheek, which does not go unnoticed by your dates.
“I don't like it, Wanda.”
“Would you calm down Nat? You did everything today to push her away, and each moment I've been trying to fix the situation that YOU created, you were shutting me up.” That accusation is shocking for Natasha, and she will not back down from defending herself, even if it's coming from her wife. She almost starts talking again, giving her piece of thoughts on the topic, but she sees you walk away and that takes priority at this second.
“We are going to talk about it at home.” She points her finger at Wanda, her voice sounds like flowing out through clenched teeth, and she is definitely not agreeing with Wanda. She doesn't even point out to her wife what's happening, she just goes out of the car and walks fast after you, Wanda confused but right at her heels.
“And where do you think you’re going?” The force with which you turn around makes Natsaha stop immediately. Your eyes are dark, your jaw is clenched, as well as your fists.
“Natasha, calm down!” Wanda joins you at the side of the road, it's really quiet in this neighborhood, the only sound slicing the silence is the roaring of the car that was left with the engine running. You pinch the bridge of your nose, irritation, exhaustion, this feeling of wasted day get to you, overstretching your patience to the fucking limits. You don’t care, you can’t find in yourself to care, and your promise was fulfilled. You respect and love Carol, but it doesn't mean that you have to feel the same way about her friends.
“What are you, five?” This is definitely not something they expected of you. Even everything they have heard about you, always patient, collected, good, the view in front of them doesn't fit any of this.
“How dare you deciding about my day, my plans, and using feelings of a little boy to get me to do something, just because your fucking ego is bruised?” Natasha makes a step to your direction, bringing her finger up to defend herself and her wife.
“No! I'm not done!” Taken aback she doesn't interrupt you. As horrible Wanda feels about making you feel this way it's really interesting for her to see someone putting her wife into place.
“For the whole day you are talking so much, about wanting to get to know me, getting close to me, but you did absolutely nothing to make me feel comfortable in your presence. When you gave me the ride, seeing the position i was in, i though, just for a second, this can be good, we can try this out,  and then…then you took your fucking place and made me feel like i have no say in my life.”
“You are being so dramatic Yn! We gave you and this boy a great day, you should be grateful!” Natasha had enough.
“I have a test tomorrow, an article to edit, and three essays to write, that should be done by now. And no, I don't have a second deadline, I don't have more time, and I will have to stay up all night, without sleep to get everything done on time. In the morning I have work, then a test at university and then my shift at the bar! You thought I had thirty minutes with you for fun? If that means that im being dramatic then fucking yes, I am dramatic!”
“You are working too much.” Wanda comments with this horribly soft voice of her, condescending reasoning, like it's so simple for her, like she can solve all your issues, if you are just willing to give them all control over your life. You scoff at her like she said something funny. Natasha takes out her wallet, and takes out  two thousand in cash, you never saw this amount of money in cash, well maybe once when you were working in black.
“Is this enough to buy your time? Your pride? Is that enough for you to get over yourself and let someone take care of you or at least fucking try?” She steps close to you, so close that you feel warmth coming from her body, creating too much of a contrast with the weather, you feel sick. Wanda grabbed her wife's hand, but it wasn't enough to stop her from speaking a couple words too much. You look at the money in Nat’s hand. Couple of papers that would solve your issues for at least two months, something that means nothing to her, that she has too much of, something that would save you. The control that it has over you is not fair, but life isn’t fair, it never was, it never will be, and you are highly aware of it. You look her in the eyes, and you grab at the last bits of your control, pride you have for yourself, those bits of respect that you are trying to save.
“You ignorant fuck, you really dont get any of this do you? Fuck you Natasha.” You leave them and start your long way home, this was a mistake, and you are glad that it's over, finally you can focus on yourself again. All they did since the day you met them is make your life fall apart with every way imaginable. It's good that it's over Yn, you tell yourself and enter the subway, already starting writing your first essay on your phone, the topic power laughing at you, as the universe decided that you are its best comedy.

Little Redhead❥
Pairing: Natasha Romanoff x reader | Avengers ft. Yelena & Kate x reader (platonic)
Summary: Your girlfriend turns into a baby
Warning: Mentions of the red room
A/N: I wrote this for no reason <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media

You really didn’t expect this
Like at all
It was supposed to be an easy mission, just you, Steve, and Nat. Though the agents you were facing had different plans for that.
Now here you were, carrying a tiny baby redhead. Who was giggling with her little fingers in her mouth. She was so innocent, it made you sad that the red room took that away from her. She was just a child, and she was took from those monsters.
You decided not to think of it any longer. Enjoying the time you had with her in this state. She started babbling random nonsense. “What are you saying little red?” you asked in babyish voice.
She babbled louder this time, as if she really was trying to speak to you. “Bubba” you heard her speak, you gave her a shocked look. “What was that little red?” you said with an excited smile. She giggled, “Bubba!” she exclaimed, you cooed at her.
She had such a sweet smile, showing her two small teeth. She also had adorable chubby cheeks that you just wanted to squeeze.
“We’ve landed Y/N” you heard Steve’s voice call out. You grabbed your bag and pulled it over your shoulder. You walked off the Quinjet, walking towards one of the entrances of the Stark tower.
You already know your teammates are gonna question why you have a random baby in the tower.
“Welcome Mx. L/N” Friday greeted you politely, “Hey Friday” you responded with a smile. You walked into the main room, where you saw your teammates.
Bucky and Sam were watching a show but bickering with each other. Vision and Wanda were cooking in the kitchen, as usual. Tony was drinking wine, while laying on a chair. Steve had gone to the bathroom to take a shower, then sleep. Clint was probably in his room.
Kate was on the floor on her phone, sitting between Yelena’s legs. While Yelena was braiding her hair. That was quite an interesting site to see, considering Yelena wasn’t that close to Kate. Or that’s what she had claimed, “Kate Bishop is a puppy that follows me around, why would I be friends with her?”.
Yeah, you’re going to tease her about that later.
There wasn’t that much noise in the room, which was good. You didn’t want Nat to get overwhelmed. Yelena heard Friday’s announcement and turned from Kate’s now finished braid. She saw the shit eating grin on your face and grew mildly embarrassed. But she was quickly distracted by the baby in your arms.
“Why do you have a baby with you?”
That question cause the room to go silent. Everyone turned to you and stared dumbfounded at the little baby in your arms.
“Did you steal it?” Sam asked
“What- no I didn’t steal her! This is Natasha” you raised your voice at him. There was another silence before you heard someone snort. You already knew who it was, you raised your eyebrow at Kate, who bowed her head.
Wanda came out from the kitchen and to you and Nat. “Aww she’s so cute” she said while lightly squishing her cheeks. The little redhead giggled at the affection.
“Wand” she said while smiling at the redhead brightly. Wanda gasped, “Yeah I’m Wanda” she replied, scrunching up her nose.
“I’m guessing she remembers you, that means she has to remember everyone else too.”
Everyone else perked up at this.
“She’s my sister so I get to hold her first!”
“Oh god”

You still struggled to be normal around the brightness of the day. Normally, you’d be holed up in an ex-HYDRA safehouse and hide away from the sun before you would do what you needed, but you were running low on supplies and needed them, now.
What am I talking about? Oh, sorry, you’re still new here.
You, Y/N Stellaluna Romana, grew up in HYDRA. You don’t remember much of your parents, except for the fact that they sold you for protection. You jumped between what you now know to be HYDRA and the Red Room, but the female-dominated organisation had a much better teaching style for aggressive female omegas.
Whilst HYDRA was always there as a threat, the Red Room forced your body into labour if you misbehaved. Growl out at an instructor? Stand on your head in the corner for a time limit set by the victimised instructor. Refuse to make a kill? Your dinner is sacrificed to them, but is laced with cyanide, making you fearful of every meal that touches your lips.
Bite an instructor? You will be beaten black and blue until you pass out, for which some girls wake up and don’t remember who they are.
But enough of that - you were free. You got out. Now, you were just trying to get through every day without your status in the world being revealed. You took your suppressants daily, which you were on your way to get more of, kept your head up and acted confident, which were all the behaviours of an Alpha.
You should know, since you studied them.
But for now, you relaxed slightly, having taken your second last suppressant this morning and now waiting in line for your coffee. It was a truly beautiful day, not a cloud in the sky, whilst the wind kept it cool enough for a light jacket.
Speaking of, you were going to have to get new clothes soon. Your daily ‘uniform’ was becoming bland with a simple pair of jeans, a graphic shirt, sneaker and a cap. You paid the seven dollars for your coffee before making your way out of the cafe, down to the mall, and in search of some better clothes.
You strolled through some normal big chain stores like Myer, Cotton On and H&M, and even though nothing caught your attention, that was exactly what you needed. You grabbed three pairs of jeans and four tops, just like the ones you had on, as well as a jacket, a hoodie and some extra socks.
After paying in cash you found your way towards a shoe shop two stores down, but there were some people standing outside of them, like bouncers. You casually moved to the side like you were checking your phone, but you carefully brushed your hair away from your ear as you listened to a new couple coming in.
“Sir, Ma’am, we need to check your status, please.”
“We’re both Alphas.”
You watched them show some form of ID, probably their drivers licences, which contain both sexes of female/male and Alpha/Beta/Omega. They were then let in, and you saw this with almost all of the other shoe shops.
*Dumb laws.* You grumbled, pulling out your umpteenth fake ID as you made your way to the shop.
“Status, please.” The bouncer asked and you handed the Alpha ID over.
He let you in, but hesitated and you gave him a trained Alpha stare, to which he let you in quickly for. You found two pairs of shoes, almost exactly the same, and quickly made your way back home.
Once you returned, you quickly dumped your bags and checked outside - almost sunset. Your supplier was going to meet you soon and you had to be there on time. He knew you were an Omega and was a strangely kind Beta, feeling sympathetic for how you acted like an Alpha but couldn’t deny your half-yearly heat and your drops.
You threw on the new set of clothes, knowing that meeting with old clothes led to the possibility of your scent releasing. They were comfy, but they felt new, like how the hoodie’s fluff wasn’t built over time, but stock-standard.
As soon as the sky changed, you eyed the figure coming out of the shadows to your left, his lips curled into a gentle smile.
“Y/N! It’s been a while.” He shook your hand, which led to you handing over half of the money.
“So, you got it, Vladi?” You asked as you walked with him to the truck.
“Oh yeah. I have some strong stuff too if you’ve run out, by the way.”
You shrugged. “Normal order.”
“One of everything, coming riiiight up.” He grinned, rummaging through the boxes to find yours.
You were patient and handed him the other half of the payment before he began to drive away, your whole body tense until you locked your apartment door behind you. You tipped the last suppressant into the new box before hiding it behind the sink drain pipe, keeping the other ones hidden within your belongings. Inspections were random sometimes and you needed to be prepared when hiding your illegal suppressants.
Tumblr media
The next day was even more boring since you had nothing to do; no suppressants to collect, no clothes to buy. It was just another day, spinning on the big dumb rock.
Or so you thought.
You decided to treat yourself and go to the top of the roof for the evening, watching the stars whilst eating your takeaway noodles. It was peaceful and it was the only time you could truly let your guard down, even if that meant no scenting because of your suppressants.
You leaned back in the sunchair and observed the different constellations, connecting the dots much more easily than the average person. Pegasus was angled slightly down, with Perseus to the left and Capricornus to the right. Hercules was just in front of it, whilst Ursa Major and Minor sat next to each other.
But then you heard the sound of tinkling metal from behind you, as well as the scrapes of it digging into the rooftop. You waited patiently as the almost silent footsteps came closer to you before you stood up and kicked the sunchair back, the mess of blonde hair in a white suit wincing at the hit to her stomach.
“Ow!” She growled, and you could smell the Beta in her.
“Who the hell are you?” You growled back, extending a set of claws.
“Look, I just want to talk. What do you know about the dealing of suppressants around here?” She asked calmly, a thick Ukrainian accent matching it.
One you almost acknowledged. “Those are illegal.” You commented like an Alpha.
She nodded. “Indeed.”
She backed away from you but not without your eyes catching a small vial of red, another grappling hook attaching to the rooftop before a noirette with bright blue eyes came into your vision.
“Yelena! What the hell?!”
The name only confirmed your suspicions.
“Kate, not now!” She hissed at her, a smirk coming onto your face.
“Lover’s quarrel?” You jeered.
They both gave you a glare and you put your hands up. “I’ll leave if it helps.”
Kate sighed and faced you. “Has anybody moved in here recently? Like, four months?”
You shook your head in a stone-faced lie. “Not that I’ve heard of.”
Yelena looked you up and down before she pocketed the red vial, to which you watch them leave you alone and head back down their grappling lines. You calmly made your way back to your apartment before you looked at the time - 1:30am.
“Man, work’s gonna be a bitch.” You grumbled, collapsing as soon as your head hit the pillow on the ground.
Tumblr media
And it truly was, yet you were only a quarter of your way through it.
Bartending was a profession most Omegas went into, serving drinks, doing dishes, serving food; it all helped calm down a bit of the biology. Your bar manager, Sophie, was a Beta, which helped mute out the smell an Omega could possibly give off when under stressful conditions. And your restaurant manager, Danny, was a married Alpha who often had dinner with his wife Alura and kids, Raquelle and Jason.
It was a slow start to the night at the bar section, which allowed Sophie to leave you alone and help the kitchen staff with delivering orders to tables. You were what she liked to call a ‘spicy Omega’, which she saw as an Omega who could stand their ground.
At least she didn’t know about your other Alpha-resistance training.
But then you recognised two heads at the front of a group of people, a very recognisable group - the Avengers. You mentally caved and regretted ever having a conversation with the blonde and noirette as they came over to you.
“Nice to see you again.” Yelena commented.
“Not so sure I can say the same.” You smirked.
“What can I get for you?”
“A table-”
“For ten, booked under Stark.” The one and only billionaire interrupted Yelena and you lightly scowled at the only Omega celebrity you knew.
“Your table is over there, but let the lady speak next time.”
He nodded before guiding the group over with Captain America's hand in his own, your eyes noticing a child and a teenager which led you to grab some crayons and colouring pages for Sophie as she passed by. You didn’t try to listen to their conversation, instead focusing on keeping the glasses and trays stocked and clean.
Sophie soon came over to you about three minutes later with a large order of drinks. A few cocktails, one for each woman you assumed, whilst a couple of beers would be for the men and the lemonade and apple juice were for the kids.
You also noticed that the little girl was watching you from the end of the booth, propped up on her knees to watch you mix drinks. Now that you had an audience, you were prepared to amaze her.
Flipping the drinks and shakers around, you mixed the drinks up and watched her smile grow as you threw in a few extra flips here and there, gathering a crowd of attention now. You finally laid out the four cocktails and expertly poured straight across, receiving a cheer from the people sitting nearby as well as a loud squeal from the little girl.
You then decided to make your way over to the table, all of the drinks weighted neatly on your tray before you started to hand them out. You were right on all of your guesses, smiling at the little girl when she showed you her messily coloured picture of a scene in Bambi, whilst the teenager was still busy with his Lord of the Rings picture.
“Would you like me to frame it?” You offered her, a couple of surprised chuffs coming from the adults.
“Yes please!” She begged and you took the picture, making your way back to your station before pulling out a picture frame.
You carefully slid the picture in, making sure it wasn’t dirty, before clasping the frame together and hanging it on your wall. You then took over a couple more menus since you saw them struggling, and put your hands in your pocket to reach your ordering device.
“Alright, is anybody ready to order?” You asked and they all gave each other confirming looks.
“Would you like to put names on the order or just keep it under Tony Stark?”
Some raised eyebrows came your way and they decided to do separate names, but only after checking with you that it was okay. You took down their orders and slowly ‘learned’ their names, even if you already knew some of them.
“I-I’m Morgan, and can I have some pizza please?” She asked you sweetly, putting her hands together.
You smiled at her. “Of course. What kind of pizza would you like?”
“Cheese and-and ham! And the yellow fruity triangles!” She exclaimed.
“Hawaiian, please.” Tony clarified, to which you winked at Morgan.
“I was hoping to have the kitchen staff confused so I could make it myself.”
A few more chuckles came from the group until you took the last two orders from 'Wanda' and 'Natasha', but you noticed how their eyes lingered on you for a touch too long.
And then you made the mistake of taking note of their scents.
Six of the eight adults were Alphas. Shit, shit, shit.
You gave them a curt nod and tried to not scurry back to the kitchen, needing to take a break even if you were scheduled for one later. Once you were in the back room, you scrambled for your small bag of belongings and saw the extra strong suppressants Vladi had given you.
You chucked one down and took some deep breaths. An Alpha or two you could handle, but six? Might as well shoot you with a tranq dart.
You quickly made your way out when you were done and asked Sophie to manage that table from now until they finished, getting an alarmed look from her but you explained that you were fine, just overwhelmed.
“I just had a talk with them, sweets. They won’t be doing any more scenting, okay?” Her lovely Southern accent calmed you and you nodded, letting her kiss your forehead before she moved to the back again.
By now there was a steady stream of customers at the bar and you were handling it well, speeding through margaritas and cocktails whilst scotches and vodkas were a simple pour-n-go. However, you did almost have a heart attack when Wanda and Natasha were the last in the line.
“Hey, can we get two more of those cocktails? Just for us.” Natasha asked calmly and you nodded, beginning to make them at a slightly slower pace.
“Morgan likes you, you know.” Wanda added, bringing out a small smirk from you.
“Does she now? Well, you can tell her that her picture isn’t coming down any time soon.” You pointed at it.
They both chuckled. “So we were wondering…”
*Don’t say my name, don’t say my name.* You muttered in your head, but their eyes inevitably flitted down to your nametag.
“Y/N… could we see you outside of this establishment at some point?” Wanda questioned curiously.
“We could just get coffee if you want?”
You gulped down the Omega in you and shrugged. “What days? I’ve got a busy schedule.”
“Any time.” Natasha replied.
You looked at the two of them. They were Alphas, you were an Omega, the possibility was there. But were you mates? Did all three of you share marks? Yours were placed just underneath your neck, a perfect hiding spot when coupled with a jacket, hoodie, bartending shirt or even a low ponytail.
“I’m sorry, I can’t remember my schedule off of the top of my head. Calendar and all.” You chuckled sheepishly, handing over their drinks.
“We can give you our numbers if that’s more helpful?” They both asked at the same time, pulling out their phones.
You were suddenly called to your station and had to abandon the girls, but they were determined. There was something about you, something wrong, yet so right. Dinner came and went, dessert came and went, and as the bill landed in front of them, they made their move.
You opened the bill to sort the receipt, ignoring the two pairs of eyes on you as they tidied up, and saw a message written on the back. ‘Y/N - hope to see you soon! W&N xx’
You hid your blush well but felt a presence behind you, a familiar yet towering one at that. “Hi, Danny.”
“Hi, Y/N. Are you feeling okay? They were giving you some very weird looks.” He commented, watching the group leave quietly.
“I’m okay.” You murmured, but he knew you.
“Go home, Y/N. Take the night off, I’ll still pay you.”
“Danny, that’s not fair-”
“You made us more than enough profit tonight. Go home.” He put a hand on your shoulder and you sighed.
“If you say so.” You shrugged, grabbing your bag and heading out the back door.
Yet, those voices were still there. Wanda, Natasha, Yelena, Kate, Tony - you could decipher them all. Some were different and you couldn’t match them without a face, but you steadily followed behind them as you walked home.
You eventually crossed the street, your apartment a few turns away from the Avengers Tower, which drew the attention of Wanda and Natasha. They told the group they’d meet up in the Tower and they followed after you, just making sure you got home safe.
But a group of men were wolf-whistling you, and they watched them crowd around you.
“What’s a pretty little thing like you doing out at this time all alone?”
“She’s not alone.” Natasha growled, the group jumping at the sight of the two Avengers before a man stepped forward.
“Oh yeah? What, is she your little bitch? Keep her on a lead next time, or she’ll be ours.” He grabbed you roughly and pulled you into him, something which you did not like.
You pushed him out, grabbed his right wrist and flipped him over, pinning his arm back in an excruciating hold that had him whining like a pup. “Submit.” You growled, trying to sound as Alpha as possible.
He tapped three times quickly and bared his neck, making your ego inflate at your acting abilities. You looked at Natasha and Wanda for a few more seconds, trying to decipher their objectives, before turning 180 and heading into the building.
Wanda’s eyes glowed as the men turned to them. “Try it, let’s see how you feel being thrown fifty feet into the air before dying on impact.”
They scattered like prey and it almost enticed them to chase, but they waited until you were inside of the elevator before going back to the Tower.

The next afternoon, having slept away the morning, you sent a generic text to the two Avengers saying hi. They then sent back dozens, asking to meet for lunch or afternoon tea by the shore. You sighed, knowing they wouldn’t budge until you said yes, so you obliged and agreed to meet at 4.
Now, you were making your way down there, a casual stroll in your step as you came into the sunshine in your simple jeans, top and hoodie. No cap this time as it was shaded, and you smelled the two Alphas at the restaurant before you came to the front door.
“Status, please.” The bouncer asked.
*What the fuck?* You grumbled in your mind, handing over your Beta ID since you saw it on his.
He held it to your face and you took off the hoodie, revealing your ponytailed hair and the rest of your body. He handed it back to you before you walked over to the girls, reining in your scent.
The conversation was light, learning about each other and how they met. You were surprised to hear they were on opposite sides twice, but now that the Sokovia Accords were scrapped, they were okay.
“How about you, Y/N? Got a partner?” Wanda asked and you shook your head.
“Still looking. Haven’t really had time to look, though.” You shrugged, sipping on your hot chocolate.
“Are you gay or straight or…?” Natasha questioned.
“I like women. Not really good at the labels.” You replied nonchalantly.
“Fair enough.”
The chatter went on mindlessly for a bit longer and if it wasn’t for your training, you weren’t sure you could have kept it up for so long. The questions were so mundane, so dull compared to your ever busy life.
But then again, you should really knock on wood when you say something like that. Or an explosion will go off underneath the waterfront.
The ground shook beneath you and people ran for safety, whilst Natasha and Wanda recognised the group of people as HYDRA agents. Wanda’s magic protected some civilians whilst Natasha’s trusty guns fired upon some, a trigger in one’s hand that set off another explosion.
“Y/N, get inside!” Natasha commanded but you ignored the Alpha, moving to help some other restaurant goers.
“Y/N!” Wanda barked, but watched you help up a lady and her son.
“Go! Get inside!” You yelled, but the ground shook again, almost like the bomb was underneath you.
You stumbled and almost gained your footing, but the rushing crowd tripped you until you landed face first. It earned you a graze along your cheek, a few scrapes on your arms and elbows, but that was the problem.
Now, there was blood. And blood was not something a suppressant could do anything about.
You looked up and saw the bouncer fall over, his eyes going to you in shock. “Omega?”
Your face turned ghostly at the status, scrambling to get to your feet. You spun around to see Natasha and Wanda looking for you, but when Wanda saw the state you were in, you knew it was too late.
‘Omega?’ She mouthed to you.
You sprinted faster than you’d ever sprinted in your life. Fear had truly grasped your heart, not letting go until you were in the safety of your apartment. You locked the door before barricading it, doing the same to the window in the bedroom and bathroom.
Your breathing was still heavy as you slid down the wall of the bathroom, trying to regain your senses as you cleaned yourself up. You had to admit, it was more of a struggle when your surroundings were spinning and you had two Y/N’s to look at in the mirror.
You slowly bandaged yourself up before looking for another apartment, your time here up as not one, not two, but three people had just found out about your status. You scrambled to pack your things, only taking away the barricade when you were completely ready.
But the sight of two Alphas was enough to make your knees wobble.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa. Easy, Y/N.” Natasha caught you, her touch warm to your skin.
“Holy shit, you’re jacked.”
You rolled your eyes at that well-known fact for ex-Widows and ex-HYDRAs. They guided you to the bed and helped you sit down, your eyes unable to stay open for very long as pain rang through your head.
“Y/N, you might have a concussion.” Wanda explained, raising her hand up to your head before you grabbed it.
“Don’t touch my head.” You growled.
She backed off, confusing you. Alphas were supposed to be demanding. Why wasn’t she demanding? Natasha came to try next, but soon there were two of her and two Wandas, sending your Omega core into a state of confusion.
“How did we not smell it before?” Natasha’s voice sounded far away as you stood, but four hands tried to keep you down.
“Get off me!” You growled, pushing them away with the same force of an Alpha.
“This doesn’t make sense…”
You collapsed as Natasha failed to finish her sentence. Or maybe your ears just didn’t wanna listen. Either way, you welcomed the familiar darkness.
