Welcome to a quick but important language lesson before our lovely Korean speaking members join the QSMP!
I call it:
“No, that Korean speaker is not casually saying the N-word.”
The Korean word for “I/me” is 내가, romanized as “nae-ga”
The Korean word for “you” is 니가, romanized as “ni-ga”
They are not saying a racial slur. It is literally the word for me/you. please understand the context, and get familiar with hearing these words all the time in normal conversation.
Read this article, this is what they have had to deal with in the west before.
Above all, extend grace and understanding to the new members and new communities. Research things yourself, and educate your friends about their language and culture to avoid misunderstandings. Realize that for many of these new people, this may be their first time interacting with another culture- let alone so many at once. They will be learning themselves, and may make mistakes. Be patient and for the love of god don’t scare them off. spread love <3

The biggest misconception in the bsd fandom ever to me is people constantly portraying Atsushi as someone who trauma dumps excessively when he canonically barely talks about it at all.
The entire point is that Atsushi does not talk about his trauma he’s just constantly thinking about/reliving it. He can’t escape the memories of his past so he tries not to acknowledge them.
He only mentions it when asked, either directly or when someone asks him to explain himself.
Atsushi doesn’t even give a cohesive explanation for what he saw while under Dogra Magra, he just apologizes to Haruno and Naomi.
If Lucy hadn’t had her whole “you’ve never suffered the way I have” spiel then I doubt even the audience would’ve gotten to find out about his scars
If Akutagawa never asked him how it felt for the orphanage headmaster to die Atsushi would have never told him that he’s been hallucinating.
In the omake where Kyoka asks him why his hair is like that it’s clear he wouldn’t have told her that unless she had asked.
In 55 minutes Atsushi very briefly mentions sleeping on a dirty floor somewhere to Kunikida because he was trying to explain and justify his behavior.
And the thing is that there are scenes that implies that the other characters see Atsushi behaving strangely and are visibly confused because they do not understand what’s wrong with him.
Remember, we as an audience get to see things about characters that the main cast doesn’t. Just because we see into Atsushi’s mind doesn’t mean the other characters know what’s going on in there.
Also little footnote here that I think this is a reference to the moon over the mountain but I digress

the summer after finishing university in New York, Marinette gets invited to a camping trip with Alya and Nino and his best friend. which, honestly, is for the best. at least she has more time than the four years she's already had to figure out how to reach out to her one-time superhero partner, with whom she fell out of touch after the reveal.
only, it's Adrien Agreste waiting for them on the meeting point, beaming so hard at her that it's blatantly obvious they know each other well. in her panic, what is Marinette supposed to tell Alya and Nino to protect their identites, if not that they used to date?
(fake exes AU x there was only one tent)

The two, the gay, the friends
god, how much i relish every moment with him. An utter delight, i must say! NOT! every moment i am with this poor excuse for a friend i feel my vitality being drained by his utter pessimism and lackluster attitude.
He never even told us he experiences the horrors of all that mankind has known ever known every time he resists his, "illness," called "narcolepsy" or whatever
I mean, how could that even be real??? They made that up for the mysterious Benedict society, it's fiction!
i feel my body languish with his words, my spirit withering with his unpleasant beratement of my being, constantly lambasting my person!!!
xoxo

Andreils peaceful violence
In my other post I mentioned how Andrew and Neil are never afraid to point out each others flaws because they know the intention is never to actively hurt the other.
I wanted to expand on that.
Andrew and Neil both have violent tendencies. It’s a result of their life and circumstances. Life never showed them kindness, so they never learned it. They don’t know how to be gentle, they don’t know how to be kind, how would they? The world never was kind to them. Being raised with brutality, seeing the worst of human life doesn’t make room for much softness.
So they leash out. Andrew with his knives. Neil with his mouth. If someone does them wrong, they aren’t afraid to snap. Their temper is hard to control, life was too unfair to them to teach restrictions in their behavior.
Yet. They learn to show kindness, in their own way.
Nicky once asked who humanizes who in this relationship and the answer is both.
Their kindness is in their trust to say what’s on their mind and knowing the place it comes from. Both aren’t afraid to address each others flaws but for once in their life they learn not to leash out, not to snap as an answer. Why? Bc they know it’s what needs to be said and that’s the only reason why it’s being said at all. It’s not to hurt and it’s not to break the other. And they trust in that. Their bad sides aren’t overwritten, they don’t pretend like the other is flawless, they aren’t afraid to address sore spots, instead they take it in. And learn. It’s a peaceful violence. Pretending like their wrongs don’t exist would be brutality. It shaped too much of their characteristics to be overlooked or talked down. They would never learn to grow out of their tendencies if they wouldn’t hold the other accountable for it, so they do it and they know the kindness that comes from it. I want you to be better. We are better than this. We deserve more than this.
Their violence isn’t an answer, their violence became a question. You want to be like that? They say. It’s peaceful.
little extra;
Andrew and Neil are kind. They don’t let the other stay the way the are. They force each other to learn, to be better, to not give in. I see you and I won’t let you become what you think you are. Your future doesn't need to be as dark as you make it out to be. Lets become something together.
Andrew and Neil are gentle. I will listen but I hear the lie. I will point out that lie and wait till you hear it to. They aren’t nothing, they are everything and eventually they know it too.
Andrew and Neil are soft. I will kiss you rough while exploring every inch of you, feel every angle bc i want to know you. Your hand is rough and tender and all I can think about is how it’s your hand and how that makes all the difference.
