Stephen McCauley: It seemed to really change the dynamic of the band when you joined because the lineup had changed quite frequently in the years leading up to that but when you joined, that seemed to lock something in place. Why do you think that was? Michael Shuman: Good people. It's not just about the music, it's about being around people that you love and that you want to spend time with. So I think, Josh being our leader, realized he wanted to put this thing together and he found the right pieces. Cause we're like a family, man. We vacation together, we hang out with our kids together, I don't have kids but I hang out with their kids. I think that's the most important part, I think that's why it's lasted so long.

“Charlie Watts is the most stylish member. He spends his time on the beauty and the cut of clothing. There he is on Savile Row, and I'm the fashion icon?”-Keith Richards (The Times), 2008

The Turoe Stone
The Turoe Stone sculpture is a masterpiece of Irish Iron Age art and normally stands in the village of Bullaun near Loughrea, Co Galway. It had been moved in the 1850s from its original location near the Rath of Feerwore, an Iron Age ring-fort structure, at nearby Kiltullagh. The stone is currently off site and in the hands of the Office of Public Works for essential remedial work and unavailable…

i love how the letter cadash can get from a dwarf HoF in inquisition only takes in consideration that both characters are dwarves and not if they have a similar background because then from brosca, the castless, the closing bit about knowing what's like to be looked down on but to keep fighting no matter what etc etc feels very genuine but from aeducan, the fucking (favorite!) child of the late King of Orzammar, those same exact words kind of read like

Carter: guys don’t talk to guys about guy problems. they just… punch each other on the shoulder
Sadie: that’s stupid
Carter: to a girl. to a guy that’s like six month therapy!
*later*
Carter: *punches walt on the shoulder*
Walt: ow, what was that for?
Carter, sighing: i don’t know

We age not by holding on to youth, but by letting ourselves grow and embracing whatever youthful parts remain.

Damien Chazelle's love for Golden Age of Hollywood is reflected throughout La La Land (2016) which is why it is laden with homages from its opening shot to its grand finale. One such example is when La La Land (2016) pays homage to Academy Award winner Albert Lamorisse’s young boy and The Red Balloon (1956) and Flight of the red balloon (2007) during its "epilogue".

Stuart Williams: Finally, you’ve been in the band for as long — or longer — than any other drummer. Does QOTSA feel like home? Jon Theodore: I'm definitely the best one, ok? Let's just be clear. I'm definitely the best. Just playing! I don't think I've ever been in a band for 10 years. Come to think of it, I don't know if I've done anything for 10 years. Yeah, it feels like home, man. These guys are my brothers and my best friends, they’re the people that I always want to see and hang out with. Being part of this, and watching it grow, as we’ve evolved and being more and more involved in the creation of things, I feel very invested. I feel like it's mine. I mean, I feel like it's mine as much as everybody else's. [Laughing] It’s my band, ok?

"We [Charlie and I] tend to play very much together. I have to hear Charlie and I think he has to hear me. I love playing with Charlie; he knocks me out every single time. Sometimes I don't see him for six months or so, and we get together and he's better every time. He must practice so much."-Keith Richards, 1977

I’m going back into hiding. Nobody needs to see me. It’s pointless. The message is the same from every angle… nothing matters on the grand scale. A great and terrible mystery looking at us all. Man oh man, reality is a little too real tonight.
