you know, aside from the fact that I fully believe that All Might living would be 100% more interesting and is backed with past foreshadowing and theming, there's another factor that points to that outcome.
The only other time Nighteye's prediction has been wrong was back at the Overhaul battle, in which Deku used Eri's quirk to prevent himself from sustaining injury. At the time, fans speculated that the true reason that Nighteye's prediction didn't come true was because her quirk messes with the natural flow of time, thus negating Nighteye's ability to accurately view what was in store -- in other words, her quirk's ability to literally undo what would've happened in any other situation distorted the vision that Nighteye saw because, well, she undid it before it could happen. And you know what quirk is yet again in play now that All Might is in his would-be final battle? It's Eri's (reverse-engineered) quirk again.
Perhaps if AFO wasn't rewinding indefinitely -- if he was at his full power and maturity -- he would've been able to easily kill All Might here. But instead Rewind is coursing through his veins, and whatever might've happened without it is doomed to never be. He's missing quirks he gained later in life, he's impulsive and desperate, and All Might is just as determined as ever. He's got this, and he'll live.

Thanks for answering my ask from a few weeks ago @neonscandal ..... If you don't mind me asking (again), what are your top 10 (or top 7) favorite media (can be books/ manga/ anime/movies/tv series)? Why do you love them? Sorry if you've answered this question before....
Thank you for asking in the first place! ❤️
Not at all unique is the fact that, as soon as I get asked a question about my top faves, I immediately draw a blank on everything I've ever enjoyed or watched, ever. 😅 I'm sure that's not the first time you've heard that. No need to apologize, as you can probably tell from other asks, my answers change regularly. This is my anime/manga blog so without any regard for order:
Life Lessons with Uramichii-Oniisan (anime) - depending on how old you are, there's a cognitive dissonance that occurs when you're no longer younger than nor the same age as your favorite protagonists in the stories you grew up with. This is the anime that eases the blow of that like the ibuprofen you now keep at home, at work and in your purse. And it's hysterical.
Attack on Titan (anime/manga) - There is something to be said for the eloquence of the exposition in this story which, when you know Isayama spent years shopping his art around to no avail because of the roughness of his style, makes perfect sense. While refining his art, he had all this time to pore over the story, hide little easter eggs so there'd be one string that gathered up all seeming loose ends. Just an incredibly interesting story to unfold. It's the kind of thing you wish you could read again for the first time but that's laughable because, every time you read it, you notice something you hadn't the last time.
To Your Eternity (anime) - This is the Grey's Anatomy equivalent in anime. Like, oh. You're emotionally constipated and need a good cry? Pick an episode at random. Watch a whole season if you're really about that life.
Sasaki to Miyano (manga/anime) - TBH I tied between this or Horimiya. They are not the same story but hold similar places in my heart. What I love about Sasaki to Miyano is how delicate it is. Yea, slow burn, whatever. But no, it just kind of gives Miyano space to come to terms with himself and Sasaki is the safety net that accepts him in all forms. Can love be this sweet?
Goodbye, Eri (manga) - Fujimoto is off the wall. Chainsaw Man is an excellent representation of that. Seemingly unfocused and always good for some sort of shock factor. I've been wanting to write, for some time, about how Fujimoto is like a trickster of a genie but I'll shelve that for the time being. Goodbye, Eri's disjointed narrative as if told in photographs and the art style which shows movement despite its static medium. It's a really elegant piece with a plot twist you don't see coming because, of course you don't. That, in fact, is part of the whole message of the story, isn't it?
Ranma 1/2 (anime) - Nostalgia. This was the first anime I ever watched that I locked into. It started me on a path of drawing, it encouraged me to seek out other shows.. this series is what started it all wayyy back then (okay, not that far back then, this was in the 00's). Tsundere x tsundere, yes but also just the immediate identification with characters who couldn't authentically be themselves because they kept bending and breaking under external pressures. I could very much relate and empathize even if the chaos of their universe was too fanciful for my own. Also, pretty sure Rumiko Takahashi is the longest running mangaka with consistent chapters in Shonen Jump for the last 40+ years is wild.
Vinland Saga (anime) - I honestly don't even know what to say about this story. But I think my favorite observation is a post I saw someone make where they wrote "No one will know the violence it took to become this gentle" with a picture of Thorfinn. And they were so poignantly right. Phenomenally twisted revenge story that is not at all satisfying. 10/10.
Link Clink (donghua) - This show is a vibe. If it hasn't been on a recommendation list yet, it's coming. The music, the art, the unfurling back story of the main characters as they untangle the lives of others? It manages to be both gutting and cerebral at the same time. Like every time I watch I'm like... I need to read the source material because the complexity of the concurrent storylines makes it such a head scratcher as to the larger plot.
Jujutsu Kaisen (anime/manga) - *Gestures vaguely to the rest of my blog.* We're still in the throes of how this story is going to play out which is nerve wracking and exciting for all its possibilities. I hold out a lot of hope that we'll see some stunning exposition in future chapters that we won't see coming.
Belle (anime) - It's just beautiful. 😘👌🏾 I talk a lot about my niece and nephew because I've turned them into my dorky little mini-me's. Also, being an aunt is like the best job. Belle is a movie that had them both gagged with the animation. If a show or series can get both of them to put their ipads, books, art supplies, etc. down, then I know I put them onto something special. Honestly, anything I enjoy with them makes it that much more special to me, personally.
This was lovely. I'll get back to posting lists soon, feel free to check out other recommendations!

OKOK WHACKY IDEA BUT LIKE-
H E A R M E O U T
MHA As far as i know ONLY has 3 CANONICAL Time related quirks!
I made sure to think this this through- AND I AM SURE THERE ARE ONLY 3(excluding the games cause i have not played them)
These 3 characters are as follwed
Eri, Chronostasis, and Sir Nighteye
Their quirks?
Eri: rewind; the power to revert things back to their former state or to the point where they weren't even created/conceived
Chronostasis: chronostasis; the power to physicaly stop time for any living being with just a single cut
Nighteye: foresight; the power to tell what is to be and what is to become, formerly without intervention
What do they all have in common?
THEY ARE ALL RELATED TO TIME
AND ALL IN SEASON 4? COINCIDENCE? I THINK NOT! What if its like a metaphor for the fates? What if eri is past, chrono is present, and sir is future? What if they represented the thread of time its self? WHAT IF BECAUSE ONE OF THEM DIED THE TIMELINE OF MHA GOT THROWN OFF BALANCE????
I can go on and on and on on this theory but that is a can of worms if i open, i fear i will never shut up about

Eri gasped. "For me?!" She whispered, as if she couldn't believe her own eyes.
"Yes, all for you." Mirai reassured the little girl. "Looks like someone has been a very good girl, so Santa has brought all these presents. Just for you."
He reached out for one present of the pile and put it on Eri's lap. This was a large one in dark blue wrapping paper and decorated with bright red ribbons.
"Can I open it?" Eri whispered as she looked at the large present in awe.
"Why yes. These are your presents, after all."
Eri squealed out in delight before her little hands started to tore the wrapping paper into shreds, excited to see what it was.
-
Eri is really excited about her first Christmas and Sir is making sure that she have fun...and may have spoiled her a little. But that is okay because she deserves it!

Game: "We have a character maker!"
Me: "Time to see how I can stretch it."
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
There's a lot of other characters I made with it (some better than others, most had trouble with the hair) but it worked surprisingly well within the limitations of the demo's character maker.
Also Kid Mirai wound up looking a lot like how I managed to make Izuku but with glasses so that's funny to me.

If the Shie Hassaikai had succeeded in getting the LoV to join, how would the rest of the manga play out?
For the sake of this, I will assume that Mange wasn't killed. I really doubt that Tomura or any member would join if Overhaul murdered one of their own.
Tumblr media
Before I start, I think it's important to establish how and why exactly Tomura joined. Magne's death was a real wake up call for Tomura. Something that would force him out of his slump as a villain and humble him. Without that, I think he'd be a lot more brash in his planning. In this case, joining up with the Yazkua to exploit them, similar to what he'd do with the MLA later on. Only now, his goal would be to try and usurp Overhaul, taking his members and resources to better establish himself. The problem is that, at this point, Tomura acts more than he thinks. Once he'd try to infiltrate them, assuming the members are able to get past "Confession" with the same trick as in canon, it's likely that he'd do something dumb and waste the opportunity like he's done before. Until then, Overhaul would be attempting to perfect the Quirk Destroying Bullet and try to mentor Tomura, but it would fall on deaf, disgruntled ears. I still think Kurogiri would be off on the sidelines, just as a potential quick out for the League, while the rest would be present with the complex.
As for things outside the complex, it's almost certain that the heroes would know that the League and Yakuza have teamed up. Considering how long Sir Nighteye was spying on that place, he's bound to see at least one of the League members, either around the complex or in a vision. With that threat that both groups pose together, the Hero Commission would pull out the big guns. I'm talking characters like Hawks, Miruko, Edgeshot coming to take them out. Leading them would be Endeavor, wanting to cement him as the next number one with this big sting. I could still see a lot of the same heroes being there, but more as support to the bigger heroes. In the chaos, I can see Tomura making his move by having the villains turn against the Yakzua, basically turning it into a three way war between the three groups. Tomura would likely mess this up, such as making an attempt on Overhaul or getting someone to kidnap Eri, but will likely die or be injured in the process. Now it would be extremely hard to really predict how all these characters would interact and affect each other, but I still think that a lot of the beats would play out the same.
Now obviously, this would have a lot of changes in the story. I could see a good chunk of the League ending up captured along with Kurogiri, such as Spinner, Magne, and maybe Twice. Who knows how Dabi would interact with Endeavor here, either taking the opportunity to attack him or delveiing more ominous warnings. Some would make an escape, like Mr. Compress or Toga, but the League would basically be over. Even if Tomura didn't die, the League would be in much worse shape than before with so many of its members gone and Tomura in no place mentally to lead them. This could work as a similar lesson to him as Mange's death did, but it's too late to really change that. And if he's in an even worse state, I really doubt Gigantomachia or Dr. Garaki would want to help him out. I guess the MLA would be the new villains? As for the heroes, with all the extra help running around, Lemillion may not lose his Quirk and Sir Nighteye may not have died. Then again, there is the chance of one of the bigger heroes losing out on their Quirk, which would be pretty bad. Regardless, the Quirk Destroying Bullets would be in the hands of the heroes, and Eri would be saved.

I really like adoption aus,, as you can see,, so uh yeah!
I love the idea of the Yamazawa's adopting Izuku or Hitoshi, only to adopt Eri later on. I don't usually like reading Hitoshi & Izuku brother aus because I ship ShinIzu, so I decided not to add it to the list. Also I really like the idea of Nemuri adopting, or giving birth to, Momo! I feel like the two are very similar, so I can totally see Nemuri being a mother figure for Momo – and of course her (non-canon) wife, Emi, would welcome miss Yaoyorozu to the family. As for the Yagi family, I remember reading a fic about Izuku causing the downfall of Endeavor's hero career, which then led to Yagi and Mirai fostering the Todoroki kids while they worked on getting Rei out of the hospital. It was all very cute and wholesome! And I really love the idea of middle school Izuku stumbling across two homeless villain-wannabes (Himiko and Dabi), and offering them a place in his and Inko's little family. Of course, after that they wouldn't end up in the league, and their villain dreams would take a different turn, but it'd work out for the best I presume!
