Prolgue Chapter

You walk down the hallway to God knows where with a collar around your neck and your hands cuffed together, all connected to chains at the hand of the person who put them on you.

The walk was quiet, he didn't say anything while you were looking around, Analyzing everything for a way out. It does look like you under the ground, maybe a house above you two. Countless doors in every hallway you passed, tagging at your chains when you stopped for a few moments.

After a few minutes of walking, reaching to stop by a staircase leading to a wooden door. He went up while you stand from where you were, when the chains come to an end he tagged your chain in his hand, signing for you to start walking up.

When you didn't move he tugged harsher making you lean forward and start walking again, you glared at him.

Reaching the door he opened it, making you close your eyes and groan, your headache getting worse again. Blinking a few times before opening your eyes, Trying to get used to the lights while walking. You properly looked forward to seeing him going towards an elevator.

When you walked in he pressed the button to one of the floors, you didn't see which floor you were because the headache was making your vision blurry, after a minute your vision got better. "In a few minutes you're going to meet the boys, Noona." He says while side-eyeing you.

'So I'm older then him? While also being taller. Maybe two or three years being older.' You thought but said nothing.

The elevator reach a stop and the metal door opened, your eyes saw the big beautiful hallway. The sound you hear was laughter and talking.

When you walked out there were staircases on each side of the elevator with pretty red carpet laying on it. The place did look like a mansion, a fancy one.

With the expensive suite that he was wearing you did expect him to have a penthouse or something, giving off dose sugar daddy vibes.

Walking up the stairs, the talking and laughter got louder and louder.

Reaching the top, you saw a boy sitting on a chair in the middle of the room, his legs on the dining table with five black bags and money on it while two boys were counting the money's, laughing and chatting about another successful 'mission' they had. Some female maid's around them, serving.

Two boys at the bar, a bartender behind the bar cleaning a glass with cloth, a purple hair drinking some whisky on the one of chairs bar and another blonde hair boy, his hair tied to a half ponytail talking about something, his back towards you.

On the left, there was a couch with a person laying on it, with newspaper covering his face and looking like his sleeping and his head on a blonde boy's lap and his eyes closed.

"Boys" The voice of the boy in front of you boomed through the room, everyone's eyes now were on you two. The maid's in the room flinched, and the bartender too but after a few seconds he went back to what he was doing.

Your eyebrow narrowed together. 'Wait..'

"GET HER!" Someone yelled behind you. when you looked back while running, you saw four boys coming out of the van and starting to run toward you.

'It was him who yelled... the first one I saw between them.' Your eyes were now on him.

"Hyung what-" the blonde boy at the bar turn his chair around but stopped talking when he saw you, his eyes going wide.

"NOONA!" He jumped from his seat and come towards you.

"Jeongin! Jeongin! WAKE UP! Noona is here!!!" The boy sitting on the couch said, taking the newspaper of their face while repeatedly tapping the person's shoulder who's head was on his lap sleeping.

He groaned while sitting up and his eyes got locked with yours, a big smile formed on his face and jumped into his feet and runs towards you.

Your eye contact got broke when someone hugs you tight, it was the boy who was with the purple hair and that was coming towards you two.

You got distracted when the blond hair burying his face in between your chest, going up to your neck and inhaling your scent, sighing happily. You shift uncomfortable on your feet, making his grip on you tighten up.

"Be careful Hyunjin," The boy next to you chuckled. "She bites."

'Hyunjin' burrs his face more into your neck but someone grabbed his back collar, pulling him away from you, making him whine.

"Hyung! Why did you put this on Noona? Her wrists are red!!!" The blonde boy with... freckles, said it while coming towards you, taking your wrists in his and looking at them. You pulled away your wrists while he pouts trying to do it again but you moved back up a little.

"Felix is right hyung, you could put something softer!" A boy with chubby cheeks said putting a hand on the boy shoulder now you know his name Felix while all of them gathered around you and 'Chan'.

"Let me introduce them to you. Aren't you curious a little, Noona?"

Chapter One

Alexa’s POV

"Alexa. Hurry up or both of us are going to be late," I hear my dad yell from downstairs. Frantically I look at the time on my phone and scream. Oh shit we really are going to be late. I jump out of bed and get my clothes on. I find a random pair of pants and t-shirt and start scanning the room from left to right looking for my backpack, finally spotting what I was looking for under my clothes on the floor. I grab it and run down the stairs, grabbing a piece of toast from my dad and smiling as I ruffle his hair. 

"Sorry, I couldn't find my backpack. Now we're waiting on you. Let's go old man," I say, giving him a teasing smile and making him raise his eyebrow, heading to the car. 

Mornings are the only part of our days were we see each other, with him being a firefighter and all. So it's nice. Always my favorite way to start a day. I could easily drive myself, but then we wouldn't have this time together. Though, sometimes I would enjoy a morning to myself. 

"Do you have practice? Need to know where I'm picking you up tonight. I'll be off early," he asks, starting the car and backing out of the driveway. I look at him confused. Grabbing my extra brush I hid in the car, I start to brush my hair.

"Yes, I do. So I guess that means to pick me up at the Ring. But why are you picking me up?" Usually I just walk or get a ride with Jayde, because dad is usually working. So it's weird that my dad is going to pick me up today. This can't be good.

"So we can go to the station for the job fair, silly," my dad replies, giving me a dorky smile. I give him a fake smile but roll my eyes. I love my dad and appreciate what he does for me and our town, but I just don't want to be in his field of work or anywhere near it… which he just doesn't understand.

"Okay, sounds good. I get done at about 5, is that too late or should I skip practice today?" I say unamused looking out the window. I think about how I will actually have to tell him and break his heart that I wanna go into Event Planning.

"No, that is fine. It's not too late, don't worry. Now have fun at school." Finally we made it to school. I lean over the console and give my dad a kiss on the cheek. Getting out of the car I make my way to the front and wave bye to my dad. 

Walking into the school I head to my locker. Placing my books inside, I hear a bang next to me.

"Why does everyone like Tina? They need to get off her ass, she's a bitch," Chantel whines leaning against the locker next to mine. Laughing, I look across the hall at Tina who is twirling her hair and flirting with the football team.

"I don't know, but why do you care? You have your college boy. It's not like your man is over there with her" I say, turning back to my locker and away from Chantel with furrowed eyebrows, visibly disgusted.

"True, but my cousin is." Glancing back over to Tina who now has her hands in Chris's hair. Chris is the one guy every girl wants but no one can have no matter how hard anyone tries. I used to have the biggest crush on him, but I stopped trying a long time ago, unlike most.

"He doesn't look comfortable, poor guy," I say, which was mostly drowned out by the squeaky swing of my locker door as I closed it. Pulling out my phone, I check my messages and read a reminder from my coach about the hockey team that has practice in our rink, and will be there after our practice. 

"Yeah, yeah, poor Chris. He's the dumbass that went over to her," Chantel snarled. "Anyway, can I go to the ring with you after school? I need a break from the fam and I can like, draw or do homework or something while you skate," Chantel asks, interlocking her arm with mine as we walk to the bathroom.

"Yeah, sure, but you can't really run away from the fam because your cousin and his friends have practice." I pause to focus on putting on my lipstick. "But we can't hangout after practice."

"Oh, Okay. But why not after?" She looks at me with curious eyes. 

"Job fair at the station, so my dad is picking me up. I mean, we can hangout and you can come with us. Oh! That’s actually a great idea," I say with a wink and nudge her, making her giggle, secretly hoping she would want to and come save me.

"So I'm guessing you haven't talked to the old man about the apprenticeship? Or about RDSF? Or, I don't know, your real dreams?!" Chantel says giving a disappointed look, ignoring my question. But how do you tell your parents that you don't want to be like them and that you don't want to help people the way they do?

"How can I? He was so excited and happy about it, but I'll tell him after, don't worry. Who knows, it might even be fun. I could meet my future husband," I laugh finishing up a light layer of eyeshadow on my face. When I finish, I top it off with a wing liner and then some chapstick. Chantel and I head out to go to our classes which sadly, we do not share together. But I do share it with Chris and my other friend Kinsley.

"Well at least you have classes and practice so you don't have to think about it for a while." As we make our way down the hallway passing by some students, most waving at Chantel. Now, I'm not popular, but I do a lot of clubs and interview a lot of students because I’m in the yearbook. So I know everyone, I’m just not close with them, only Chantel and Kinsley. Chantel, though, is friends with everyone. We've been best friends since elementary. It's crazy to think that if we didn't meet then we probably wouldn't be friends now.

"I guess you're right," I nod in agreement. But then I started to worry about the job fair. 

"Always remember that." Both of us giggle and are about to part ways to our first period. We see Chris make his way over alone for once, he's usually with his crew of hockey boys or some girl.

"Hey cuz, Alex," he smiles and nods at me with that beautiful smile as he walks into the classroom.

"Enjoy class with my annoying cousin. See you at lunch unless you have it with Kinsley today." Waving goodbye, I walk into class and take my seat. I love science and it’s my best subject so having it in the morning is pretty nice and makes getting up easier sometimes. 

"Hello class, we will be discussing an upcoming group project. Before you get all excited, I have already chosen the pairs." Great, I never get someone I know or would like to work with. After Mrs. Ferguson named some students, I then heard my name. I look up waiting to see who I will be paired up with. To my surprise, I hear Chris's name right after mine being called. I look over to him already staring at me giving me a smile and an eyebrow raise. I just shake my head waiting for more instructions from the teacher.

“Okay, there are all your groups. Now, onto the whole project. You and your partner will find and collect 50 flowers each. I want you to write every detail about the flower, the animals around, and how fast it grows. Then you guys will have to present it to me and I’ll press them and put them in a journal.” Mrs Furgeson finishes off the last instructions to the assignment.  As I write down the notes for the assignment, I hear a hiss and turn around to see Chris. 

“So I guess we got to do this together. Can’t wait. I’ll get your information at the rink tonight.” I just nod my head and go back to writing my notes. But I hear a scoff coming from Tina next to me in front of Chris. I just wink at her and go back to my notes. The project seems to be easy, which is nice.

When the bell rings, I grab my bag and make my way to the door being the first one out. I didn't want to deal with Tina and her jealousy. I then head to my second period class. Before I make my way to Kinsley at our normal meeting spot, I feel a sharp pointed tap on my shoulder. I turn around to be greeted by the fakest smile.

 "Alexa, I love your shirt today. It's so cute. Did you do something with your hair?” I hold in a laugh as I can see in Tina’s eyes that she is in pain talking to me right now. I roll my eyes, turning back around knowing that she'd throw a fit that I wasn't bothering to give her any more time out of my day… which I was correct, she did get upset. I felt her pull me back and sadly was facing her again. “Don't turn your back on me when I asked you a question, that's rude.”

I faked a smile, shrugging my shoulders as I looked her dead in the eyes. “And touching me without permission isn't? If I wanted to speak to you more, then I would. Though I don't want to. Why would I waste my time when I have class to get to?” The look on her face told me everything. Tina was pissed that I spoke back, that I wasn't giving in to her fakeness.

Watching Tina turn away and storm off made me snicker as I turned to go meet Kinsley at our spot before class, but now we wouldn't have much time left since the wicked witch of the west wanted to try and be nice and waste the time I did have. All because she was jealous of me, I'm sure.

you socked him right in the face. you didn’t have the time for his bullshit. it was either now you get what you came here for or the deal was off.

“you told me you’d hand him over to me today! what happened to our deal?” you growled at him. his white pearls stained with red glared at you as his face turned into a wide grin. “what deal?” he asked in a mocking tone, your anger bubbling up even deeper in the pit of your stomach. you punched him again, this time, he fell to the floor with a spew of blood coming out of his mouth. “i’ll fucking kill you,” you climbed on top of him, your hands landing hits on him as he didn’t dare to fight back.

when you were done with him, he was still breathing. unfortunately. but you decided to keep him locked up for your own torment later.

days passed, he hadn’t eaten or drunken anything since you cuffed him. if your boss found out about this, you’d for sure lose everything. so for now, you decided to keep everything hidden out of sight.

“are you ready to tell me where my brother is?” you asked, your hands shoved so deep into your pockets that it could rip holes into them. your eyes glued onto his limp, slender figure slumped into the chair he was bound to.

“are you ready to find out?”

Mafia au: STRAYKIDS hyunjin

Part one

You were sitting in class talking to your Bestfriend who you have loved since forever he just was bad at receiving signals and you were afraid to change your friendship and ruin it. Hwang Hyunjin the red haired mysterious boy who always made your heart flutter and who you can tell everything to. Lately since school started back up for your senior year he has been more secretive and hard to spend any time with cause he always gives excuses like “I have homework to do, I have to help my mom with chores, I have to work” it has made your relationship harder to maintain since things changed.”so since it’s Friday are you free this weekend” “um I’m not sure I might have work” “ugh it seems like you never have time for me anymore”you said pouting cutely as he awed and tried avoiding eye contact cause he knew he would give in. “I’m sorry it’s just it’s complicated “ he said stuttering trying to find the right words. Soon the school day was over you and Hyunjin was in a market getting some things for yourselves. When All of a sudden he got a random call. He picked up the phone trying to avoid you over hearing as he walked away from you. You sighed as he was like this now so secretive and just scanned the isle. He came back and said,”I got to a help my mom she’s sick at home” “um… ok I guess see you later hope she gets better and I’ll call y/d/n(your dads name) to come get Me” “ok great I’ll call you later” he nervously rubbed the back of his neck and walked away quickly getting in his black Mazda and reviving off. You hugged and continued shopping getting things to make a soup for his mom and you started calling your dad to come get you. You were picked up and started making the soup you had in mind to make. After making the soup you figured you would go give it to his mom. So you got in your Nissan skyline and headed over. Once getting to hyunjin you got out to see his car not there you got out and walked to the front door confused. You knocked and a minute later the door opened to reveal hyunjin mom .

“Oh hi sweetie hyunjins not home” “um miss hwang aren’t you not feeling good hyunjin said you were sick so I made you some soup” “that boy how dare he lie to you I’m fine I’ve been gardening and thank you for the soup anyway” “well do you know where he went” “not sure sweetie” you gave her the soup and said your goodbyes searching up hyunjins Snapchat location. You put the location in your gps and drove to wherever he was. You came to a bank from the location you had. You got out even more confused why did it say he’s here you thought to yourself as you walked in. Then your life flashed before your eyes in terror the bank was being robbed as you saw three men pointing guns at the bank staff getting money into bags. You let out a tear as one of the men who looked real buff started shouting at you to get on the ground making you quickly obey scared for dear life. There were two others one was wearing a bracelet that looked familiar then the other one you could see bits of red hair from his hat. “Could it be … hyunjin” you whispered then when one of the men spoke “let’s hurry up Bangchans waiting outside he got into the vault with the others let’s go”you Recognized that voice. “Seungmin is that you” you stood up and he quickly cursed under his breath thats when the third buff guy said,”take of your masks “ they did and You gasped in shock before you standed hyunjin your Bestfriend, seungmin your brother,and a guy you didn’t know but seen around school. “Hyunjin..,seungmin and you are” “Changbin” you nodded and snapped your head back in there direction. “I can explain y/n” “you better have a good explanation you two” you said angrily. That’s when you heard sirens and they started to slightly panic. “Alright let’s go Bangchan is gonna be so pissed “ they all darted to get the bags of money and then hyunjin grabbed you and started running dragging you with him into his car with seungmin and Changbin behind. Changbin got is the back with seungmin and you was in passenger while hyunjin drove he drive fast out of there as you got impatient wanting to know what the hell was going on. “So are you gonna tell me why you lied to me and then always robbed a bank with my brother involved” “well put it simple we are in the mafia gang Wolfgang” you felt betrayed they both lied to you about there whereabouts. “How dare you both betray me like this” “sis we had to keep it secret for everyone safety” “yeah but I feel like a outcast now” “you think Bangchan might let her join” hyunjin said speaking to Changbin. “I mean he could but she would have to train” “no she wouldn’t I have been teaching her how to use different combat skills” said seungmin now everything made sense why he always came home late and was gone all the time and how hyunjins car was more expensive then anything he owned it you always wondered how he was able to get and keep a Mazda. It explained both their behavior.

“So now what you going to turn me into your leader” “well now that you know he has to be informed and make the decision of what to do” soon after getting To the mansion gate hyunjins came to a stop as a guy waited there. “Hi hyunjin everything go well” “not exactly Minho but we just have to see the Boss” he buzzed y’all in and the gate opened yall drove up and parked in a big 8 car garage and yall all got out and Changbin and seungmin got the bags of money. As you walked in there was a giant grand staircase in front of us like seven feet away.

“I’m so pissed you kept this from me”you said looking around they took you into meeting room where a guy with fully brown hair and had a nose ring. “Bangchan this is y/n my sister” “I’m aware of what happened you two will be cleaning the gun room for punishment for letting her find out” “um Bangchan what will happen now your not gonna like kill me now” “no I will be putting you in the mafia and will have you trained hyunjin please take her to the room next to yours” “yes sir and thank you for not killing her” he nervously chuckled and quickly walked away dragging you to your new room.

A winter morning,

My parents were shot.

The tall, muscular expression-less man stepped inside, looked at my brother and i, bent down and grabbed my dad by his hair and made him look towards him,

"i told you,hazlurt, i did. i warned you, i did and now, you're gonna pay it with your own life and your poor little wife." a disgusting smirk displayed on his face. He started walking towards my mom, all of a sudden, two men came in, held me and my brother, grabbed our jaws, and made us look towards our parents. Lyrian was sobbing, badly. The muscular man, grabbed my mom by her hair, "poor little thing, gonna pay for your husband's mistake, yeah?" my mom winced and he slapped her.

"stop! Valzart, don't bring her into this, don't hurt her, i beg of you!" my dad screamed, with a little energy he had left.

"not so fast, you know what i wanted Hazlurt, but you and your fucking loyalty towards your pitty little job is gonna get you, and your family killed." he snapped back.

He took out a knife and placed it on my mom's collarbone, "hey, i'm gonna engrave my name on your skin, infront of your husband, isn't that so exciting?" he said chuckling, dad tried to get up, he just couldn't and then Valzart, the muscular man, placed the knife on my mom's collarbone, "Stop! please" Jeongin shouted crying. Valzart looked towards him, "oh hey, you pity little momma's boy, it's alright, i'm not hurting your momma, it's just something she paying for because of your daddy's actions" he said and a disgusting little smile displayed on his disgusting face.

Chris’s POV

After school, the boys and I head over to our spot. Spotting Jamie, I sigh. I can tell Changbin feels my mood because he walks in front of me, meeting face to face with Jamie.

"What the fuck do you want?" Changbin says aggressively, making Jamie chuckle. That druggy shouldn't even be here, he could fuck up the season or worse.

Once we get to the rink, Jamie jumps out and pulls out a box. I shake my head before I become a part of this. The boys follow me to the changing room. They have questions and I know it, but I have so many myself. My dad doesn't let me in on all that anymore. I get dressed as fast as I can to hopefully give the boys the hint that I don't want to talk about this, and thankfully they do. When we all finish, we make our way to the bleachers.

"This season is going to be a great one with me as a captain, don't you think? Oh, and I guess with the help of co-captain, Christopher," Minho jokingly says, jabbing at me with his elbow. We arrived earlier than I thought, since the girls were still practicing. Not that I mind, it's a nice view.

"Alex just looks better and better everyday," Hyunjin says sitting down in front of me getting his skates on.

"Damn, yeah, I would tap that," Han says while sitting down next to me. We all look at the rink and he's right, Alex is improving and she looks beautiful as ever she makes you just fall in a trance.

"She has to come here and practice a lot, she is mesmerizing." Grabbing my water and looking around, I see my cousin and wave at her while she smiles back, then goes back to her drawing book.

"I mean, if I had parents like hers I'd always be here practicing too." We all look over and see Tina looking right at me with those heart eyes and I instantly get annoyed. I pray that the girls’ practice hurries up so I can go and practice and get away from her. It seems my prayers were answered because the girls’ coach blew her whistle. As soon as I heard that, I ran to the rink and put my skates on, deciding the boys were taking too long. I start to just skate around with my stick in my hand. I then feel a gentle tap on my shoulder making me turn around. I am faced with the girl who has seemed to be on not only my mind, but my friends’ minds as well. 

"Hey umm Chris. Sorry to disturb you," Alex says shyly, looking down at her skates. Her nervousness is adorable and not something I am used to. I like this side of her, cute and sweet, different from her confident, loud self.

"Don't be sorry Alex, you're fine. What's up?" I say with a teasing smile, which makes her blush and look back to her fidgeting hands.

"If I'd like to, what?" I smile and start to skate around her with a big smile on my face. For a second I forget that there is a rink filled with a bunch of boys and girls.

"Ha, yeah sorry. I was wondering if I could have your phone number for our project of course." She looks over trying to hide her blush but I caught it.

"Oh yeah, that would be a good idea, wouldn't it? ' Nervously, I scratch the back of my neck and we both skate over to her bag and she hands me her phone while she takes off her skates.

"You know, you have some great moves out there. Have you gotten a call from the Olympics yet?" I say giving her phone back, she laughs but then gives me a sweet smile as she puts her shoes on.

"Oh, umm, thanks Chris. You're not bad yourself. With you and Minho as co-captains, we are for sure going to the finals." I smile looking at the rink to see the boys and my cousin looking over at us, giving me confidence.

"Thanks. You should go to our game on Friday and cheer m-"

"Alexa!" I was cut off by her dad yelling for her, making everyone look at us. We make eye contact and I can see the sadness and annoyance in her eyes. We broke contact when her dad called her name again.

"OH! Gosh I'm so sorry. I got to go but I'll text you when we should meet up. Also I'd love to go to your game. Bye Chris." Alex waves, grabbing her bag and telling Chantel ‘bye,’ giving her a hug. Watching her, I smile excited to get a text from her. I snapped out of my thoughts when I felt a thump on the back of my head. Turning around to yell at whoever has the balls to hit me, I am met with all the boys giving me weird looks and kissy faces. I look at Alex one last time before I make my way to the boys in the middle of the rink.

"Dude your father would kill you if he sees you with Alexa. You know how he feels about her family," Changbin says, making me roll my eyes. My dad doesn't care anymore, it's more so her dad to worry about. But it's not like we actually will end up together, or that there are feelings to begin with. Right, I don't like her. She's like family, she's my cousin's best friend, that would just be weird. I mean, I know it's not as bad because it's just my cousin. Ugh, I thinking about this too much. 

"Yeah man, a Tibbits is a no no." Hyunjin comes out of nowhere standing next to the rest of the boys.

"Well he's going to have to deal with it for a while. We are working on a project together. That's it guys, nothing more." I say before taking a drink of water.

"Sure, we saw the way you guys were looking at each other all googly eyed," Minho says while making kissy faces and noises as the others laugh.

"Hey, look, the rest of the team is here, we should start," I say pointing to our couch and the rest of the team walking out to the rink. I let out a sigh of relief when they all moved their attention to the others making their way to us in the middle of the rink.

          “I have reason to believe Daizen might be onto us.” Hiroko tells the twins once they arrive in the private room for their briefing. This negotiation has lasted about 8 months now, the girls who are barely on speaking terms leave their issues outside the club. Both of them are completely in work mode. 

          “What do you mean, ‘might’?” Yura questions, finally allowed back into the negotiation room she stands in another black dress, this time it’s a one-strapped ribbed mini dress that reaches her mid-thigh. Wearing her usual heels, she stands with her arms crossed at the man in front of her.

          “My men have their ways of getting information from the other side, and Daizen has begun to raise suspicion about the familiarity of the people I keep around whenever he comes to Insignia.” Hiroko sits at the table in the center of the room. Hair free of gel, he runs a hand through it messily as he glances at Rina.

           “Tonight has to be the last meeting, by any means necessary.”

Rina nods her head in approval and looks at Yura.

For the first time in weeks, Yura shares a smile with her sister as they take in the request.

         “All you had to say, boss.” The younger girl smirks in response, taking her usual seat on the couch towards the back of the room.

The door opens not long after, revealing a man a bit younger than Hiroko, sporting a large scar on the right side of his cheek. His face is expressionless as he takes in the people he meets every month. Hiroko is seated at the table in the middle of the room, seated next to him is Rina, one of the straps to her black body con dress slips off her shoulder as she whispers something in Hiroko’s ear. He replaces her strap and then caresses her cheek as he moves a piece of her hair out of her face, causing her to giggle and lean in closer to his side, doing a great job of pretending to be one of his lovers. Yura walks up behind their seats with her hands sliding from Hiroko’s shoulders down to his chest, resting her head on his shoulder as she makes eye contact with their new guest.

          “Hiroko. Ladies.” Daizen greets them in English, voice rough. He sits down, and although he’s never shown any issue with Hiroko insisting that the two girls stayed in the room before, his features were clear of how suspicious he was tonight.

          “Ah, Daizen. I believe it’s safe to say we both want this to be our last meeting hm?” Hiroko stands up to shake hands with his guest, the girls letting their hands drop from his body as they watch the two lazily.

          “Glad we could come to agree on at least one thing, old friend.” Before their hands could touch in greeting, Daizen reaches into his suit jacket and pulls out a pistol aiming it at Hiroko’s chest.  

The girls move just as quickly, Rina’s own gun was strapped to the bottom of the table, so she could easily slip it into her hands from underneath in a quick motion, ready and aimed right at his head. Yura's black dagger was attached to her thigh, she moved seamlessly from behind Hiroko to right beside Daizen with her blade pointed at his neck. The man was shocked as he took in the two girls’ weapons before glancing at Hiroko, anger blazing in his eyes. 

          “We agreed on no guards!” His Japanese tumbles out quickly, only for Rina to respond back in the same dialect as if they weren’t in the middle of a standoff.

          “We also agreed to no weapons, so I guess now we're even.” Her smirk was Cheshire-like as she watched the older man in front of them shake with anger and embarrassment. 

Hiroko could do nothing but smile at the man in front of him. It was quite clear that Daizen was outnumbered and he had fallen right into Hiroko’s trap. He says nothing as Rina stands up and walks over to the desk at the back of the room. She pulls out a stack of papers before returning to stand behind Hiroko and next to Yura, whose blade hasn’t moved from his throat since revealing herself. She hands the stack to Hiroko’s awaiting palm as her eyes never leave the shaken man in front of them.

Finally, after 8 months of nonsense and greediness from both parties, they’re able to close the deal.

Finally, the girls can go home. 

         “They’re quite lovely, aren’t they? Foreign. Flew them in myself to make sure this deal goes according to… my plan.” Hiroko is chipper as he lays out the forms for Daizen to sign. 

Though he hesitates at first, all Yura had to do was take a step closer and press the blade of her dagger to Daizen's throat as he finally picks up the pen in front of him, signing his required sections. After everything is finished, Rina gathers the forms and puts them neatly in front of her boss. The two older men hold a staredown before Hiroko breaks the silence. 

          “You know these two are the most deadly assassins in the world right now. Very high in demand.” He begins as his eyes flicker between the two girls.

          “Please, they’re American.” Daizen scoffs but is shut up quickly by a nudge of Yura’s blade, drawing a single drop of blood from his neck.

          “Yes, but they are also personally trained by 2ne1’s academy. As you know, they’re never ones to play around, or just send… two mediocre agents.” He finishes his statement with a sly smile as he leans back in his chair.

At that moment, the entrance door swings open, revealing Yuta and Shotaro, dressed in black cargo pants and muscle tees that hug their frames snuggly. Though they stand without saying much, the energy in the room shifts. 

          “Now these two are from another male academy from District 9, they're much more willing to use brute force if necessary. They’ve been assigned to escort you back to your own headquarters to relay the message of our deal being signed, as well as-” 

The last two to enter the room were stoic-faced Sana and Momo, both dressed in black dresses that provide easy access to the weapons that decorate their bodies.

          “-these two lovely ladies, also assassins from 2ne1, with orders to kill you on the spot if you attempt anything… unnecessary.” Hiroko finishes informing him with a smile.

Daizen could only glare at the man in front of him. The entire room could see the gears shifting in Daizen’s head as he takes in all the information presented to him.

          “You had all this planned for what… eight months?! Did our negotiations even mean anything to this contract?” Before Hiroko could respond, Rina lets out a chuckle.

          “He played you like a fool, and you fell for it. No need to be upset at your own ignorance.” She checks her nails lazily before turning her eyes to their hostage. 

          “It happens to the best of us.” She shrugs her shoulders at him and the man so full of anger moves to touch the girl on the other side of the table before he’s stopped by a sharp blade in his side. He lets out a piercing yelp as he turns his eyes to his left, seeing Yura’s small frame digging a knife into the man’s abdomen with the blade still positioned at his throat. Her eyes are on his own as she tilts her head, offering him a small sadistic smile. 

          “Ah yes, Ares here- see that's what we call her because of how gruesome and heartless she can get with her targets…” Hiroko explains quickly. “...She doesn’t mess around when it comes to her partner.” He gestures to the smirking Rina next to him, who sends Daizen a small wave of her fingers.

          “Well, you must be on your way now, can’t leave your people waiting! Though you might… if you die on the way there, the wound looks pretty deep.” Hiroko skips his teeth in a fake concerned tone. 

Yura finally steps away, tearing her blade from his side as Yuta walks up and roughly grabs Daizen’s arm. The man continues to protest as the others carry him out of the room and to the waiting vehicle outside the club. The room is quiet as Hiroko watches the door for a moment. He turns to the girls that still occupy the room with him, giving them both a large smile. 

          “After a long 8 months, we've finally succeeded.” his hands tap against the stack of signed papers in front of him.

           “Well, I think this calls for a celebration, am I right ladies? You both did an excellent job. Whatever you want, it's on me tonight, you deserve it!” 

He stands up, gesturing for them to exit the room together and head out towards the bar. No doubt finally ready to have a little fun with the younger women that have been under his employment for so long.

          “As wonderful…as that sounds-” Yura responds, causing Hiroko to halt in his steps and turn to look at her and Rina. 

The latter has taken it upon herself to begin gathering their weapons from around the room and secure them to her own body or to Yura’s empty harnesses attached to her waist and thigh. Though the issues between the two are yet to be resolved, they both were in agreement to get out of Japan as quickly as possible. 

“-we’re leaving tomorrow morning, so we must go back to the house and pack.” Yura finishes her statement as Rina finally stands up next to her.

His face holds confusion and a hint of anger at how quickly the two were dismissing him after all he’d done. 

          “Before you argue-" Rina holds up her hand stopping him before he can get a word out in protest. 

          "-I’ve looked over the agreement with 2ne1 about our services personally, and though it reads we may be here for up to nine months, it was also said that we would only be under your orders for you as long as it took to secure your end of the deal. And as of… 11 minutes ago, the deal has been finalized and signed off. Therefore, we are no longer under contract to provide our services, nor are we under orders from you, and we are free to leave at our earliest convenience.” Rina’s diplomatic tone comes out as she rattles off the details of the contract she studied before leaving Korea all those months ago.

          “I’m sure Sana and Momo will be more than happy to be staying and partying with you, Hiroko. Or not. I don’t really care.” Yura says on her way past the man and out the door. 

Rina pats his shoulder as she follows not far behind her sister and out of the room, both girls leaving the usually feared man speechless at their departure.

It was around 2 in the morning when the others arrived back to their shared penthouse. The twins moved about their areas quietly packing their personal items as well as the things they had acquired during their time in Japan. Rina walks out into the living room, meeting the four wearing a matching gray sweat suit. Yuta and Momo had splatters of blood on their outfits while the other two were clean, though their expressions seemed to be just as exhausted, their focus turned to Rina.

          “He’s dead.” Sana says plainly, her own body too exhausted to put up a fight with her housemates. 

Rina nods her head, taking in the information before looking to the four across from her. Though they weren’t the closest, they all knew to look to Rina for their next order. She was the appointed leader for their small side mission and now that the main goal was finished, they needed to know what was next for them. 

          “We head back home around twelve, make sure all your things are packed and ready to go. I don’t want to give Hiroko any false hope that we're staying longer than required.” The four agents sighed in relief, all of them ready to be back in their home country.

          “Finally, I need an entire reset after this bullshit mission.” Sana groans as she walks past Rina with Momo in tow.

Shotaro moves to leave the room as well, throughout the entire eight months of them being in Japan, it was rare to get words out of him. The only exception was whenever they decided to drink together, then he and Momo would give everyone their best rendition of every Celine Dion song on the karaoke machine.

As Rina watches the three exit the room she doesn’t notice Yuta approach, his hands find her waist as he leans in to kiss her. With both of them being somewhat private about their arrangement, Yuta took this quiet moment as a chance to get close to the woman who has been occupying his bed for the past couple of months.

          “Yuta…” Rina turns her face at the last minute, allowing his lips to land on her cheek instead of their original destination. 

He eyes the woman in front of him patiently. Though they both went into this only seeking comfort in familiarity while away from home for so long, despite their original terms, he had begun to develop feelings for his leader along the way. 

          “Please don’t tell me you're pulling the plug on us already.” His voice is soft as her eyes find his.

          “There was never an 'us', to begin with. We discussed that already.” Rina moves her body out of his grasp as he takes in her brutal honesty.

Of course. Of course, she wasn’t thinking about him after the mission. He should’ve known from their off-and-on-again relationship in high school that Rina wasn’t ever going to be the type to put her plans on hold and settle down when she's got so much planned for her future. Yuta knew it was foolish to think he could be the exception, but a man can dream, right?

          “Well… I better get packed then.” His hands fall to his sides as he exits the room, leaving Rina alone with her thoughts. It was when she finally turns around to head to her own bedroom, that she noticed her silent sister standing in the corner. 

Their eyes meet, relaying a thousand words in a single moment. Though they're leaving Japan with new wounds both physically and emotionally, The girls’ long-standing feud would be the one to heal before their departure.

          “Can you help me close my suitcase?” Yura breathes out. Though her voice gave off her usual guarded personality, Rina could see the olive branch she was extending.

          “Sure.”
