SW: TCW Episode Reviews
Confession! I have yet to watch The Clone Wars.
Since I have nothing better to do at the moment, I'm going to give a play by play of my reaction of each episode.
This might take a while, but I'm excited to start it! I've wanted to for a long while. I know a lot of what happens, I've read it, I've researched some, but I have trouble keeping up with shows, so I've avoided it.
But I'm ready and determined to do this! And unfortunately, anyone following is going to be caught up in it all. Sorry 😅
I'm starting today and will post as I go! This will likely also serve as a masterlist.
Wish me luck!

I hate to be a hater, frankly I was really annoyed by haters of the kenobi show, whom I found were being mad at the most random things,
But with the Ahsoka show ending, I find myself sympathising.
Firstly I'd like to say the Actors, cinematographers, cgi artists, sound designers, musicians, costumers and literally everyone in post and pre production, did some of the best work I've ever seen on a show.
But unfortunately they were working on a script thinner than the paper it's on.
This series feels like the first draft that has glaring flaws.
Firstly, why are the two premises :Ahsoka grows from her trauma; and the ghost crew find ezra and thrawn linked?
They barely interacted in rebels and the only one she had a relationship with is dead (rip Caleb)
Secondly why the fuck is sabine a jedi, it took away from her character and just repeated the same arc we've seen a thousand times.
And most importantly theres already so many deep stories you can tell with any of the ghost crew w/o Ahsoka in this era like:
A grieving war hero general trying to navigate new Republic beuracracy to protect people while being a single mom to a force sensitive kid in a dangerous galaxy.
A guilt ridden mandalorian artist, who's secluded herself from the galaxy trying to complete a fools errand while running away from her past in which she inadvertently lead mandalore to its doom.
A once-lost lasat from his people and a repentant ex-imperial who almost destroyed said people and trying to make his way in that society while possibly falling in love
A Grand Admiral who always had relied on cold logic landing on a planet of witchcraft, with a boy who had defeated him through devilry which caused the boy to lose both his families just to protect his people and a chance to save the Galaxy from the admirals misplaced alliegences.
Like tell me all these stories couldn't have been told amazingly, with love and care, in an animated show, which wasn't wrapped up in the story of an unrelated character who's the main character for some reason.
Heck Ahsoka could've been given a better story herself where the plot could focus just on her and her important relationships with you know, Rex or Barriss?? Not just Anakin. And maybe tell us where she was in the original trilogy.

Heroes & Villains Clone Backpack Review!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Heroes and Villains Clone Troopers collection is here!!
I'm absolutely ECSTATIC about this collection, bc I've wanted a general clones/GAR collection (not TBB/332nd, as cool as they are) for AGES. I begged a rep for this collection in person at last year's NYCC, so now that it's here, of course I ordered ASAP. Got a few other items that I'll review too, but starting off with the backpack!
This is the "Grand Army Tech Backpack"! There are tons of little nods to the clones/the GAR throughout.
Detailed review of the design under cut!
First, the top flap is a really neat fusion design of both the clones' helmets & ARC pauldrons. Only visible from a top-down view, the black bit in the middle actually looks like the clones' visors, which is a design thing I love that they also did with their Ahsoka Trooper backpacks. It's got the helmet vents over the blue, and the sides can come out to look more like shoulder pauldrons too!
On this flap, there's a lil black velcro patch that reads "Elite Clones" in Aurebesh. In the middle, you can swap out the designations of 4 included clones: Rex, Fives, Echo, and Cody! (love them ALL, but sorry I've a Cody bias) I LOVE that they have this customization option, since all us clone lovers have our biases😅 (will include more details on this in a follow-up reblog1)
Next, we've got the stretchy cross bands across the front middle, which are practical because they can stretch to hold stuff, but visually, are clearly a nod to the straps over ARC kamas. A bit hard to see in photos, but they cross over a Republic Cog on the white pleather!
Below that is the 3-button ARC chest pouch-inspired pocket. There's a GAR patch next to it, and both of these are on top of another flat pouch. There are 2 pouches on both sides of this, giving the appearance of ARC holsters.
On one side, there's a detachable "gadget case," which is really fun! However, one comment: I don't love how the zipper opens on the bottom, which means that if you want to put anything inside it without securing it tightly into a compartment, it'll fall straight out🥲Could be solved if it opened at the top instead!
Both sides have very stretchy bottle holders that hold my chonky thermos from Batuu with ease. Also, loops so you can easily hook carabiners (and then add more keychains/charms for more personalization eyyy)
Overall, I absolutely adore this bag. It's got an awesome design that's clearly got a ton of thought put into it, and is an amazing homage to GAR clones and specifically ARC troopers!
Because Tumblr posts only allow one video per post, please keep an eye on the reblogs because I'll add videos showing how the velcro designations swap out + a demonstration of how much this thing fits.
This post is NOT sponsored, just a fan sharing honest reviews.
However, here's my non-influencer “refer a friend” code, if you want $25 off $75!
And here's a direct link to the bag itself on the Heroes & Villains site!
Hope this review was helpful!

The Bad Batch Season 3 so far: No character scenes, just plot, plot, plot.
There might be viewers who enjoy the abundant plot arc around the mystery of Omega’s purpose for Project Necromancer. However the lack of, what some people like to call, “filler” episodes has really ruined what I liked about The Bad Batch to begin with.
There is so much forward movement in the plot and unraveling the mystery of Omega’s blood that there has been no time for the characters to breathe and sit with what has happened to them in the last two seasons. There has been no room for the characters to actually TALK with each other without just talking about the plot.
No soft and sweet moments between Hunter and Omega, no cute downtime moments with Wrecker and Omega, absolutely no discussion of Tech’s death and the Batch’s grief, no character development for Echo, and no real time to flesh out the trauma Crosshair experienced on Tantiss. All around the characters are just hollow versions of themselves. Absolutely infuriating.
Not a lot of scenes, just plot.
It drives me crazy when Star Wars does this. In the end what makes me tune in every week are the characters. So when they cease to have a personality and are bodies just to forward the plot it makes it harder to want to tune in. I liked the moments of the Batch being a family, snarking at each other, having internal conflict with each other and facing their problems and trials together.
What we have this season are those emotional scenes constantly getting interrupted by this Mystery Box plot that we are forced to care about because they want to make the sequel trilogy make sense.
I get it. Saga/story continuity and all that but you can’t do that in one last season with 15 episodes and expect it to be amazing.

Rex didn't have a hobby so Ahsoka and Cody convinced him to read the most popular Space!YA books out and they keep insisting they're really good but they're lying. They're all bad. And rex keeps trusting them because he loves them. And they love him but they certainly don't respect him.

Updated Canon Star Wars Shows Ranking
The Bad Batch's third and final season begins tomorrow! What better time to take stock of how the series is currently stacking up against the nine other canon series' in the Star Wars sag.
(As always, please feel free to sound off in the replies or reblogs with how wrong I am. I love hearing your thoughts.)
10. Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett
Tumblr media
Oscillating between dull and distracted, the original iconic bucket headed bounty hunter’s show displays Star Wars at its most shallow and routine. Despite claiming to be a Godfather-esque crime saga, The Book of Boba Fett feels oddly toothless and impersonal. In the process, the series does the ultimate disservice of making its title character less interesting at its conclusion than its outset. A great leading duo in Temuera Morrison and Ming-na Wen can’t really save a series that rarely if ever rises above being passable.
9. Star Wars Resistance
Tumblr media
A fun, atypical series that aims for a younger audience with a lighter, more comedic tone. Some fans may not gel with its sometimes zany energy, but it boasts some impressively nuanced character arcs and standout aerial combat set pieces. It ends though on an awkward rushed note that may be as much a fault of the shambling structure of the sequel trilogy as the show itself.
8. Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi
Tumblr media
Ewan McGregor’s big return to the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi somehow feels like less than the sum of its parts. McGregor is wonderful as the title character and there are some truly emotional moments to be found in watching this old Jedi Master find his purpose and make peace with the trauma that came with the end of the Clone Wars, but overall Kenobi rarely manages to hit the highs it should. Messy production design and some clunky mid-season narrative choices end up cutting the series down in moments when the drama should be at its highest. For a series that may have been the most demanded Star Wars project of the last decade, Obi-Wan Kenobi never manages to fully reach the hype of its fanbase or the potential of its character.
7. Star Wars The Mandalorian
Tumblr media
After an uneven but mostly promising first season, The Mandalorian has had trouble finding its footing. Despite being the flagship series for not only Star Wars live action television but also the Disney+ streaming platform, Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni’s space western has seemed unsure of itself after two seasons that pushed back its main characters in favor of a parade of cameos and clunky franchise focused world building. Luckily, it still has an eye for spectacle and flash. The Mandalorian looks like a blockbuster action-adventure movie and even when the story fails to live up to its potential, you can still count on the series’ consistently strong directing talent to deliver on some fantastic moments of Star Wars spectacle and creatively designed characters and locales.
6. Star Wars Ahsoka
Tumblr media
One of the most ambitious and complicated offerings from Star Wars’ live action television offerings, Ahsoka is the culmination of not only fifteen years of storytelling but an important evolution of both its central character and her creator, Dave Filoni. Unfortunately, it does frequently buckle under the weight of its own mythology and continuity. Trying to create a coherent identity out of a show that functionally serves as a spin off to three separate series, two of which are animated, often proves difficult and clunky. There are, however, moments of wonder and grandeur when Ahsoka really does shine. Whether its in the phenomenal performance of Ray Stevenson as the series’ enigmatic villain, Baylan Skoll, or how enthusiastically Ahsoka embraces the franchise’s more fantastical and weird story elements, Dave Filoni demonstrates that he does still have a sense for how to tell worthy stories in this galaxy.
5. Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi
Tumblr media
Recently confirmed to be more than a one-time special set of animated short films, Tales of the Jedi now looks to be a regular animated anthology that fleshes out the unexplored angles of some of the most famous members of the Order. While the three installments focusing on Ahsoka offer little more than a reunion for fans of The Clone Wars, the miniature trilogy that Tales of the Jedi tells about the fall of Count Dooku to the Dark Side are masterfully written and directed editions to the animated Star Wars canon. Not only do they finally add emotional and philosophical clarity to one of the most famous villains from the Prequel Trilogy, but they provide a murky exploration into some of the Jedi Order’s failings and why exactly members of its ranks would be tempted to leave it behind.
4. Star Wars: The Bad Batch
Tumblr media
While it suffers from some of the same pacing issues that abound in almost all Star Wars television, The Bad Batch has evolved into a fun ensemble action series with some truly stellar character moments scattered throughout. In particular, this Clone Wars spinoff excels in diving into the uncertain fate of the Grand Army of the Republic. At its core is the question of what happens to a people bred for wartime when that wartime ends? The results are often tragic and occasionally disturbing, but almost always make for standout television. Throw in some gripping action set pieces and you have a more than worthy follow up to one of the most beloved pieces of Star Wars canon.
3. Star Wars: The Clone Wars
Tumblr media
A very rough start and scattered snooze worthy story arcs aside, The Clone Wars is an ambitious as hell show that pretty much launched Star Wars as we currently know it. Its anthology style format allowed for its creators to tell a wide variety of stories that not only deepened a previously maligned era of the series but also played tribute to many of George Lucas’s creative influences. Great swing for the fences storytelling risks and gorgeous animation elevate this series into blockbuster level entertainment that balances incredible spectacle with powerful moments of character development and franchise redefining mythology.
2. Star Wars Rebels
Tumblr media
A wonderful achievement in character and inventive storytelling, Star Wars Rebels reaches heights that are among the best moments the franchise has ever produced. Through its endearing and refreshingly complex ensemble cast and a tight four-season arc, Rebels feels like a complete, unique package that isn’t afraid to take risks and knows when and how to challenge its audience. Even occasional filler episodes aren’t enough to detract from what is overall a charming, suspenseful, and ultimately moving series of family and the fight against tyranny.
1. Star Wars Andor
Tumblr media
Star Wars at its most human and political, Andor is thoughtful and meticulously crafted drama about the early days of a rebellion. Taking its title character from the ashes of Rogue One and spinning off into the story of a complicated man living in the shadow of fascism, Andor offers up intrigue, emotion, and a stirring critique of systems of oppression whether they be from the galaxy far, far away or own humble little world. Even outside of its heady political allegory, Andor is simply fantastically directed and acted television scattering a marathon of all-time-classic Star Wars moments throughout its first season. It’s that rare gem that only seems to come around only once or twice a decade: Star Wars that is not only great within the context of its universe but a truly essential work of pop cultural art.

My thoughts on Ahsoka Part 5: "Shadow Warrior"
Tumblr media
🖤Before the episode started I already knew it wasn't going to start with Anakin
🖤Poor Huyang he sounded so angry and devastated when Hera found him
🖤Leia Organa and Kanan Jarrus name-drop!
🖤The World Between Worlds looks amazing!
🖤ANAKIN SKYWALKER MY BELOVED
🖤CLONE WARS ANAKIN
🖤"But more powerful and dangerous then you realize" VADER
🖤ANAKIN SWITHING TO VADER
🖤ANAKIN'S RED LIGHTSABER
🖤VADER BREATHING SOUND
🖤SITH EYES ANAKIN
🖤"is that what this is about?" aka Anakin being offended and acting like Vader was just a phase when Ahsoka talks about the whole Vader thing is so funny because it's like "oh you're upset that I turned to the dark side and killed thousands of people (and also you btw)?! I had a redemption arc stop being dramatic and get over it🙄 ugh you are so dramatic Snips😒"
🖤Hayden Christiansen you will always be an icon🫶
🖤I like how they choose an age-appropriate casting for Ahsoka instead of an 18 year old or something like some movies and tv shows do for flashbacks. It makes the 'Ahsoka fought in the war and had to grow up quickly' thing more realistic
🖤Why does Ahsoka's lekku Looks so bad without the headpiece😭
🖤Carson Teva is awesome!
🖤Ahsoka is happy and finally showing emotions when she is wearing the white coat
🖤Best episode so far. Also yeah as you may have guessed already i'm a sucker for sith! Anakin Skywalker😍

Y’all I have not been this happy over an episode in a long long time. Not only do I want to bed Tech stupid this was so nostalgic for me, it gave me Prequels vibes; introducing all the outlandish racers’ names, reminds me of podracing and playing all those racing games growing up and it was just so freaking incredible. Total adrenaline rush and this has got to be my favorite episode. Made me stupid happy. Tech was phenomenal.
Also Cross would be so proud.🥲

My Roommate Watched Moulin Rouge For The First Time, Here Are Her Thoughts:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“He’s such a baby!”
“This is so 2000s vibes.”
“Someone needs to put him on a leash. He keeps getting on those ledges.”
“This is a manic pixie dream girl movie but HE IS the manic pixie dream girl.”
“How is it possible for him to make those heart eyes? Look at him! Like what?!”
“All I see is Star Wars.”
“That man can sing! I need more.”
“Why doesn’t he sing in Star Wars?”
“Ewan is very much me.”
“I am like him (The Duke).”
Me—“So you’re doing the like a Virgin scene?”
“ No, ‘look my dear, a little frog.’”
“Ah, tuberculosis: the death disease”
“Not that pose! Dave Filoni, you are an evil man!”
“I heard this song before (El Tango De Roxanne). I saw it in a Warrior Cats Animatic!”
Now I owe her a Lord of The Rings marathon.
The End

For me, this is a 10/10. 10/10 plotline, 10/10 writing, 10/10 grammar. I could go on.
As a sucker for both crack fics and Serious Feelings Time, this fic has been one of my favorites for quite some time. It manages to stay fairly consistently lighthearted and also touch on serious topics.
Despite any touches on serious topics, it's a well-written, lighthearted, fun times fic where we get to read Fox sticking it to the senate with the sheer undiluted power of his chest. Life is good.

Finally got my copy of the latest Obi-Wan comic, #3!!
As you can see from the cover, it's got Cody + the 212th!
Spoilers beneath cut:
Ah...😭😭😭
Tumblr media
"I still think of my Second-in-Command, CC-2224--whom I called "Commander Cody"--with great fondness. I miss him to this day. Even though he eventually tried to kill me. So it goes with my friends, it seems."
Comic is worth it for the above lines alone, in my humble opinion.
Also, new 212th boy just dropped!! He has a terrible haircut. I love him. Welcome, Airo!
Tumblr media
("AR-" hmm, is he the first official 212th ARC? Though he lacks the fancy gear ^ ^;)
That's all the images I'll share, please buy the comic if you can to support it! I got mine at my not-so-local comic shop online.
Additional thoughts:
Overall I really enjoyed it! It was still obviously very Obi-Wan centric, I mean it's the Obi-Wan comic, but had armored!Obi-Wan and also a decent amount of the 212th + Cody. Less centered around the clones than I would have ideally wanted, but still more than expected! ^ ^;
Obi-Wan was drawn really beautifully! I could feel the love. I couldn't feel quite as much love for the clones alas ;_; (also, as much as I adore the cover, Cody my dude u do not look 20~22 max there buddy) Also Phase I helmets in comic but Phase II on cover, minor detail but hrng
One thing that makes me really sad is that the Obi-Wan narrator of this comic is ~20 years post ROTS, aka shortly before ANH. In this comic he isn't with Cody, and apparently still doesn't know about the chips/that the clones didn't want to betray him. Assuming this is canon, it effectively kills any chance of Cody showing up in Obi-Wan show S2.
Unless, of course, they decide to ignore this comic. I'm not sure how "canon" all the new comics/novels are, but I'm hoping that the stories within them won't completely dictate all future SW content, and that this story being Legends-ized is a possibility ;_;
I'm happy to see more Cody + 212th content, I don't want to seem grateful!! But, I still want to see at least part of the scrapped Obi-Wan script one day. It doesn't have to be that exact script! But a Cody + Obi-Wan reunion in some form, or at least closure for Obi-Wan in realizing the clones were victims not traitors.
#5 of this comic is apparently about Obi-Wan encountering a stormtrooper who reminds him of his clones. Maybe..?
Tumblr media
(idk but this blurb reads like a Codywan fic summary doesn't it ahhaha)
But if Obi-Wan does find Cody again immediately before ANH...like again, closure is the most important part. But admittedly that's less time together than I would have ideally liked ;_; We'll have to see!
Either way, it's a lovely comic that has Obi-Wan + Cody + 212th. Please check it out if you can!
