We all carry the light inside of us. Sometimes we don’t realize how much we carry until we sit next to the right person. We don’t seek to steal their light, just to be inspired by it.

I'll cut to the chase: the people with whom you work make a huge difference to the quality of your career.
The professionals with whom you share your career make a huge difference to the quality of your work.
Because.
They either push your work to ever greater heights...
Or they hold you back.
It's one or the other.
Pushing your work to ever greater heights, by the way, manifests in a number of ways.
It can be straight up the quality of their work that inspires something greater in yours.
It can be the environment they create as professional creatives that fosters something more than what any one of you can accomplish on their own.
It can be the spark that happens when you work with the right people.
It can be all of the above that invests a confidence in yourself that makes you capable of more.
And so on.
The right people, the right environment... and you fly.
The wrong people, the wrong environment... and you start to wonder if you've chosen the wrong profession.
Me, I'm a few decades into my career and I'm even more stoked about it than I was when I was taking my first tentative steps into a world of which I had only a general sense.
And I guarantee you.
The excitement I feel right now has everything to do with the fact that I share my career, I share my profession...
With the right people.
😁

I’m so happy for them
[Image Description: Castiel from Supernatural is saying I love you, underneath is an image of Dean Winchester with the caption: “After four months of striking the WGA has a reached a tentative agreement & finalizing the contract. If all goes well writers will get to return to work with better pay and protections. They did it. Go unions”]

the amount of ways we have to qualify the geoncide in gaza in order to get people to care is actually sickening to me. “it’s a feminist issue!” “it’s a disabilities issue!” “it’s an environmental issue!” like i’m sorry but even if this was happening solely to able bodied men and was causing no harm to the environment, it would still be wrong because it’s a genocide and these people are being bombed and killed and starved every fucking day. you shouldn’t need an extra label to give you a reason to care about people that are dying.
