HAIKYUU!! FICS
so this is mostly gonna be for myself to keep track of my favorite fics i’ve read, but hey if anyone else wants to check some of these out then thats great
MHA one is up!!
ill keep updating this as i read more, feel free to send me suggestions!
KageHina
plain as day - emleewrites
In which Hinata has spent the better part of the last twenty years putting his heart and soul into volleyball, hoping to be recognised, to be noticed. And yet he spends all these years also thinking of himself as rather plain, beyond his lack of height and bright hair, and not really noticeable at all.
In Transit - Mysecretfanmoments
Hinata finds that he likes standing close to Kageyama on buses and trains. It doesn't mean anything--probably. Maybe.
I like the way your clothes smell - Mysecretfanmoments
Power outages, ghost stories, and the presence of a certain orange-haired boy lead to bad decision-making on Tobio's part. He'd planned to keep his crush a secret; the universe has other plans.
Chaotic Neutral - akaraka
Who's this Kageyama person on twitter and is he gay?
1: Anonymous: see title
2: Anonymous: curry king
3: Anonymous >> 1: It's the curry king, obviously. Have you been using his memes this whole time without knowing who he was?
4: Anonymous: 1) Hinata Shouyou's boyfriend 2) See above
jellyfish - mysterytwin
At the beginning of his last year at Karasuno High School, Hinata Shouyou starts a list and calls it THINGS TO DO BEFORE GRADUATION, all with high hopes that he’ll be able to complete it before his time runs out.
TsukkiYama
Try This On For Size - CloudMonsta
A lot changed for Yamaguchi Tadashi over the course of high school. He started trying on dresses, for one.
The Great Yamaguchi-Tsukishima Split (Capitalization Necessary) - WyYeuw
"But no, the current situation isn’t normal. This situation requires the full attention of the team.
No, what’s really concerning this time around, is that Yamaguchi is the one ignoring Tsukishima.”
Yamaguchi confesses. Tsukishima fucks up—like, really fucks up. The volleyball club notices and loses a week’s worth of practice.
IwaOi
Terrarium - sausaged
He's practically a professional at being proactive (lies, lies, and lies when it comes to Iwaizumi).
At this point, is he really happy with just staying best friends forever? Will he be writing journals and collecting rocks forever (he will, he knows, but that is aside from the point)?
Can he really tag his Instagram photos with #YOLO if he doesn't actually put that phrase into practice?
A story about Oikawa Tooru, Iwaizumi Hajime, plants, and rocks.
They Say it Rain Diamonds on Jupiter - exsao
"You're in love with him."
Hajime considers denying it. He considers deliberately choking on his drink to express surprise, to create a distraction by spitting onto the man in front of him's pristine white shirt and causing a commotion. Instead, he swallows his mouthful of soda and heaves a small sigh once his mouth is free.
"Yeah," he says instead.
He's never been good at lying, anyway.
bait and switch - Stylographic_Blue_Rhapsody
Oikawa's university volleyball team knows he's in a long-distance relationship with someone from high school. They imagine a sweet-faced girl that matches his sarcasm with patience. They are so incredibly wrong.
my heart is where it’s always been - foreverautumn
Iwaizumi places his phone down carefully.
Oikawa. Pining after someone. There’s no way.
(Iwaizumi knows he shouldn’t care who Oikawa might have feelings for, but within the span of three days, it’s somehow the only thing he can think about.)
KuroKen
Beautiful People Will Ruin Your Life - todxrxki
Kuroo Tetsurou runs a private Twitter account where he's constantly tweeting about how desperately in love he is with Kozume Kenma. Little does he know that Kenma sees all the tweets and keeps referencing the account in an attempt to get Kuroo to confess to him. / Or, five times Kuroo didn't notice Kenma hinting about his private Twitter account, and one time he finally did.
the things that get caught in the valves of his heart - ghostpot
Emotional competency is not exactly Kuroo's strong suit. Kenma finds it quite amusing.
Accidentally In Love - todxrxki
Kuroo frowns, but then slowly, the corners of his mouth lift up into a smirk. "Well, if it's so unbelievable, why don't we give it a try?"
Kenma glances up at him curiously. "What do you mean?"
"Let's do the 36 questions to fall in love," Kuroo says, still smirking stupidly. "If we don't fall in love, then you're right, it's bullshit. But if we do somehow..." Kuroo waggles his eyebrows. "Then I win." / Kuroo decides he and Kenma should do the 36 questions to fall in love as a joke, but they both start to realize they might actually be in love already.
the galaxy is endless (i thought we were, too) - cosmogony
TW: major character death
Kuroken AU where the last words your soulmate will say to you appear on your skin when you turn 16, and how Kenma and Kuroo learn what this means over the course of their lives
even if you’re ahead for a bit, i will catch up - ghostpot
Kuroo first confesses when they're sticky-fingered, wide-eyed kids, and subsequently every day after that. Kenma takes a while to come around.
you’re the brake lines failing (as my car swerves off the freeway) - ghostpot
Kenma thinks that Kuroo looks ugly with his head bent against the arm of the couch like that. Then Kenma thinks that he wants to marry him, and is promptly thrown into the 5 stages of grief.
teach me the way home - icespyders
“Don’t go far off, not even for a day, because —
because — I don’t know how to say it: a day is long
and I will be waiting for you, as in an empty station
when the trains are parked off somewhere else, asleep.”
Kuroo and Kenma grow up in transit.
in this universe - crossbelladonna
Living with Kuroo is sometimes, just like this. It always feels surreal like he's living half a world and a lot of things rush by too quickly. Kenma feels like he'd watched him come and go in a blink, eyes wide and wordless as the shared space went snug in an instant and far larger in the next.
All this, and a glass of water.
Beginning’s End - todxrxki
Somehow over the course of Kenma's lifetime, he’s never really had an opportunity to miss Kuroo. He’s always been there. Even when they went to different schools, Kuroo would meet him afterwards so they could walk home together, shoulders brushing, Kuroo occasionally taking the opportunity to guide him when his nose was buried in the newest video game. The thought of Kuroo not being there anymore is uncomfortable, to say the least. / Kozume Kenma's third year and the changes the year brings in himself and his relationship with Kuroo Tetsurou.
All I Want for Christmas is You - todxrxki
“Kuro,” he says. “You’re a single guy.”
“Yeah, great, thanks for pointing that out.”
“And my parents already know you, plus they already know you like guys or whatever so… what if you pretended to be my date for Christmas dinner?” / In which Kenma recruits his housemate and best friend Kuroo to be his fake date for Christmas.
BokuAka
just to miss the sun - rosevtea
Everything begins to implode when MSBY Jackals outside hitter Bokuto Koutarou crashes Akaashi's livestream.
Operation BokuAka - kazzydolyn
After spending two whole years watching Bokuto and Akaashi pine for one another, the rest of the Fukuroudani Volleyball Club has had enough. When everyone meets up for a reunion dinner, the team decides to play matchmaker and finally get the two of them together. Unfortunately, their plan starts to fall apart when they discover that Akaashi is already dating someone. And apparently so is Bokuto. What a strange coincidence.
bitter - silvercistern
He accepted his classmate's chocolates gracefully, then declared his lack of interest with as much dignity as he could muster. She deserved the courtesy. At least she'd acknowledged that Valentine's Day was all about her, and not about him in the slightest.
Because if any of these girls had taken the time to actually get to know him, they’d quickly realize something even more important than his lack of interest in girls.
And that was that Akaashi hated sweets.
In Another Life - LittleLuxray
TW: major character death
Sleeping didn't come as easy as it used to. Bokuto knew this, and now Akaashi did, too.
The hospital AU that no body asked for, but that I took upon myself to write.
120% yes - pissedofsandwich
TOKYO FRANCHISE COMING SOON @OnigiriMiya
in reply to @bokkun_official
Congratulations! In celebration of your historic engagement, please DM us so we can send you a free membership code with a 25% discount on every fourth purchase!
Kissing Ace - karasunovolleygays
It happens right after training camp.
Akaashi Keiji has a secret he has guarded since he was a child. He won’t go so far as to call it a fear, but more of an aspect of himself of which he is horribly mortified. No one on the team knows about it, and Akaashi does his best to keep it that way.
But years of dodging hugs and casual contact come to naught in the blink of an eye and the swipe of a hand.
daisy rings and frivolous things (i am deliriously in love with you) - gabstar
Akaashi Keiji is in love. Bokuto Koutarou is a star. Everyone on Fukurodani has a gambling problem.
SakuAtsu
The MSBY Black Jackals Read Thirst Tweets - isaksara (syailendra)
Sakusa’s eyes are very dark naturally, sucking in all surrounding rays of light and crushing them in his pupils. For an athlete, he is rather pale. His lips look very pink in comparison. Atsumu is suddenly catastrophically aware that in this instance, ‘accent’ is a euphemism. “Good enough for your Olympic-size ego, Miya?”
(In which Atsumu realizes that he is attracted to Sakusa Kiyoomi in the most inconvenient way possible.)
A Liar’s Truth - internetpistol
In which Sakusa Kiyoomi is raised to believe that gay people go to hell but then takes one look at Miya Atsumu and thinks, then why the hell did God make them so fucking hot?

That’s the thing about a/b/o; it’s such a good vehicle for certain kinks. I’m just going to go with the first half of the list and say Tsukkiyama… any of: 6, 11, 14, 19 or 28.
Any, some, all or none! Up to you!
All of your fics are great!
This is exactly my thought. I picked two of the ones you sent from the prompt list, feel free to send more if you want!
6. Alpha voice 14. Claim fuck
Here’s the ao3 link
- MINORS DNI -
Tsukishima Kei is not prone to letting his emotions or his instincts get the best of him. It’s tiring, and just not worth it most of the time. Often, this isn’t an issue; he doesn’t feel anything too strongly, and he’s not exactly eager to get into just any omega’s pants, so even when an omega goes into heat in public he’s able to keep a level head. He doesn’t feel that primal urge inside himself to claim, to mate-
Or, at least, for the most part. It’s becoming more of an issue lately, and it’s frustrating. He doesn’t know what it is, but lately whenever he finds himself out with friends, he’s just the slightest bit annoyed, just a little more prone to snapping back. He chalks it up to just having outgrown the idea of going out every weekend now that he’s an adult with a job, and yet whenever a certain childhood friend of his asks him to come out he does without hesitation.
...Which leads to his other issue.
Yamaguchi Tadashi has always been a soft spot for Kei, he’s always wanted to protect him- ever since they first became friends in elementary school. Now that they’ve long since graduated highschool, and recently college, however, it’s becoming increasingly obvious that Kei’s soft spot for Tadashi is more than he lets on. And Tadashi has always been naïve, but it’s never been more aggravating to get him out of the situations he manages to get himself in when he’s a little tipsy. And Yamaguchi likes to let loose on the weekends.
And letting loose he is.
Kei hadn’t even wanted to go out tonight. He was barely leaving the museum when his phone rang, the caller ID reading Kuroo’s phone number, and he’d immediately rejected the call. However, not even two seconds later he received a text with the simple words: “We have freckles with us already so you might as well just come over now instead of fighting it.” So he did. And that familiar annoyance and quick temper has returned, only fueled by the loud music bumping in the over-crowded club that Bokuto and Kuroo dragged his omega to-
There it is again. Yamaguchi isn’t his. He isn’t Kei’s, and he knows this. Even still, in his head, he calls him that. He doesn’t know when he that started, just that he never stopped, and he doesn’t see any harm in it; after all, anyone who’s spent more than a few hours with them can clearly see Kei’s laid his claim on Yamaguchi even if he hasn’t actually marked him. Or even tried to court him. His influence is all over, however, from the clothes Kei buys him just so he can scent them before he gifts them to the fading hickeys Yamaguchi asks Kei to give him before they go out to deter alphas from hitting on him when they’re clubbing.
Even still, those only seem to work if the other person knows them, and isn’t some stranger in the club. To strangers, Kei’s scent and the hickeys he peppers on Yamaguchi’s neck are just hints of a promiscuous omega, a tease who gets busy with more than one person in one night- and they tend to get angry when their advances are rejected by a “slut.”
Kei doesn’t know when he lost Yamaguchi, just that he’s been increasingly more annoyed by his other friends as they progressively get drunker. And so he does what he usually does when he gets fed up with them: goes to find Yamaguchi so he can leave. It takes a long moment to find him, and when he does, he doesn’t like what he finds.
He can’t hear over the music and the loud conversations surrounding them, but he can see the snarl on the alpha’s face as he leans far too close to Yamaguchi. The omega -his omega- is leaning as far away as he can, but his back is pressed against the wall with nowhere else to go. It takes three seconds to get from the bar to where they are, just in time for the alpha to reach a hand up Yamaguchi’s skirt and promptly get punched in the jaw by Yamaguchi. Immediately the area around them clears around them so Kei can step in between them.
“You bit-”
The alpha goes to punch back, but freezes when he sees Kei standing there. “You’d really punch an omega that just hit you so hard you had those cartoon birds flying around your head? That’s kind of pathetic, man.”
“Who are you, this little slut’s babysitter? Why don’t you tell ‘im to-”
“I’d stop right there, or I’ll let him loose on you again. Do you want an omega to knock you out?”
The alpha growls, but he backs off, flicking them off once more before he disappears into the crowd. Kei turns to Yamaguchi as the people immediately around them dissolve back into the club mentality, ignoring the two as soon as the drama is over. When Kei turns around, Yamaguchi’s fist is still clenched, skirt ridden up just the slightest, and he’s shaking.
“Yamaguchi, let’s go.”
“What? I- I’m fine, Tsukki. Let’s just go find the others,”
“I just left them, I was coming to find you anyway.”
“But I wanna stay,”
“And get groped by some stranger again? I don’t think so.” Kei says.
Yamaguchi huffs. “Come on Tsukki, please? I barely have a buzz, I-”
“And if you get any drunker, you’re gonna get taken advantage of by some random alpha.”
“And what if I want that?”
“I- What?” Kei’s eyes narrow and he glares at Yamaguchi, stepping closer to him. “You’re okay with just anyone taking you home? What if one of them marks you? What if they get you pregnant?”
Yamaguchi crosses his arms and glares right back. “And what if they do? It’s not like you are.”
Something in Kei snaps then, and he growls, taking Yamaguchi by the wrist and pulling him against his chest. He isn’t one to use his alpha status above an omega, but he can’t help himself as he commands Yamaguchi with his alpha voice, “We’re leaving. Now.”
Yamaguchi doesn’t protest as Kei drags him out of the club, and Kei ignores the whoops and hollers from a drunk Bokuto and Kuroo, both of whom are trying to reign in a drunk Hinata before he climbs onto the bar and shows all of Sendai the dance moves he’d learned in Brazil. Once out of the club, his senses sharpen and he feels a bit better, but anger still boils in his chest as he drags Yamaguchi down the street and to the closest train station. After swiping their metro cards he takes Yamaguchi and pins him against the wall, kissing him roughly while they wait for their train.
“Is this what you wanted? Attention from me? Is that why you wore this little number and went off and almost got yourself groped in the club by whoever you could get to touch you so I would get jealous?”
“M- Maybe,” Yamaguchi murmurs against Kei’s lips, gasping when Kei’s knee slips between his thighs, arms hiding him from the rest of the underground station. “I was tired of your fucking pretending like there isn’t something between us, so I figured I’d give you a push. Is that so wrong?”
“It is when my omega is backed into a corner with a hand up his skirt by someone that’s not me.”
“So you admit I’m yours?”
“Of fucking course you are! When have you ever not been?” Yamaguchi swallows thickly, his wide-eyed gaze looking at Kei like he hung the goddamn moon, and Kei growls. “As soon as we get back to my place I’m fucking you so goddamn hard and you’re getting a bond mark right,” he nips at the junction of Yamaguchi’s neck and shoulder, “There. Understand? No one is going to mistake you for single after this.”
“Y- Yes, alpha.”
“That’s what I like to hear.” They continue to kiss while they wait, and once again when their train arrives. Once they reach their stop, Kei’s hand once again finds Yamaguchi’s wrist and he pulls him along, feeling a little guilty when he sees it’s bright red from being grabbed so roughly; it’ll definitely bruise before the night is over. He doesn’t have time to feel guilty, however, because Yamaguchi’s hand slips into Kei’s front pants pocket and pulls his keys out of it, unlocking his apartment and pushing him inside. Kei grins, pulling Yamaguchi by his collar into a kiss as they scramble to take their shoes off while still kissing. “Feisty now, huh?”
“Just impatient. I’ve been waiting for this moment since we were seventeen.”
Kei groans against Tadashi’s lips. “You mean I could’ve been fucking you since second year? That was six years ago,”
“I didn’t think you liked me back until, like, six months ago Tsukki! And I thought you would make the first move, since you’re an alpha.”
“You know I’m just as stubborn as you, did you really think I’d give up my pride and confess?”
“Hey, it’s not my fault you’re stupid. Now are you going to claim me or not?”
“You don’t have to ask twice,” Now out of their shoes, Kei lifts Tadashi and carries him down the hall to his bedroom. He has half the mind to fuck him right on the floor in the genkan, but he at least has the sense to make sure Yamaguchi is comfortable while he fucks his brains out. Once in his bedroom, he drops Yamaguchi on the bed, his hands fumbling with the buttons of his shirt. Yamaguchi pulls away just the slightest to pull his top off, wiggling out of his skirt while Kei shucks off his own shirt and begins undoing the buttons on his slacks. He growls when he sees Yamaguchi’s nearly naked form underneath him, the light pink boxer briefs damp and tenting his dick. “Fuck, you’re so gorgeous, you know that?”
“That’s coming from you? You’re a literal god, Kei.”
Something about Yamaguchi calling him by his given name screams to the primal side inside of Kei. Nipping at his lips, Kei’s hands find Yamaguchi’s hips and pulls them flush against his. “You’re so fucking hot. I’m going to make sure the only think you can say is my name.”
“Yes, please.” Yamaguchi whispers. Resisting the urge to rip Yamaguchi’s underwear, he slides it off as quickly and as gracelessly as possible, losing his cool immediately when the scent of slick unhidden by clothing hits his nose. He pulls away to get a good look at Yamaguchi totally naked, now, and he growls.
“You’re dripping. Have you been slicked up the whole way home, or did I just work you up in the few minutes we’ve been back home?”
“Th- The first option,”
"Well I’m going to treat you so good, don’t you worry. I know I could probably slip right in with how wet you are right now, but I’m gonna prep you, okay?”
“Okay.”
One of Kei’s hands spreads Yamaguchi’s thighs, the other moving to tease at his rim. Yamaguchi whines, his knees trying to close, and Kei nips at his jaw, keeping his legs spread with a firm grip. “Don’t hide yourself. I’m going to be seeing a while lot of you, so there’s no point in being shy.”
Whimpering, Tadashi nods slowly, and relaxes somewhat as Kei slips two fingers inside of his hole. Kei’s fingers are long and slim, and slip inside easily, slick coating them immediately. He probably didn’t even need to prepare the omega, because he’s reacting so well to Kei’s touch and opening up with little prodding; his little cock sits rock-hard and dripping, untouched, and Kei’s own cock twitches at the sight of the man in front of him. Yamaguchi gasps when Kei’s fingers shift inside of him and Kei grins, dragging his fingers over the same spot. He revels in the way Yamaguchi moans and whines, rolling his hips to get more stimulation.
“Fuck, Kei...N- Need you, now. Please. Please,”
Suddenly Kei’s confidence wanes and he hesitates, looking down at Yamaguchi. “I don’t want to hurt you, Tadashi.”
Yamaguchi groans. “I can take it, Tsukki. Come on, fuck me.”
“Right. Right, I’m going to fuck you and I’m going to claim you. Got it?”
“Got it.”
Kei slides his fingers out of Yamaguchi’s hole, positioning his member and pushing inside. As soon as the tip slips in he groans, pleasure overtaking him as he bottoms out with one quick thrust that brings out a loud cry from the omega underneath him. He growls, connecting their lips once more, as he fucks into Yamaguchi roughly. His hands wander Yamaguchi’s body, the omega reacting to his touch so well, his back arching off the bed. Kei sucks in every little sound, every little tightening around his cock, quickly losing control of himself.
“Fuck, Tadashi...You’re mine. I’m not going to let anyone touch you ever again, you’re mine and only mine, you understand?”
Yamaguchi keens, a shiver running down his spine, and nods. His hands, tangled in Kei’s hair, grips tighter with every thrust.
“If any other alpha even looks at you after this, I’m gonna fucking kill him.”
“Possessive of me already? You haven’t even- hn, you haven’t even marked me yet.”
“If you want to rush me, Tadashi, I can gladly make you cum faster, but I quite like this pace more,” Kei growls, thrusting harder, and he hears Yamaguchi’s breath hitch.
“F- Fuck, please, Kei, faster. Please. ‘m so close, so ready, plea-” Yamaguchi gasps, his eyes rolling to the back of his head, and Kei grins. He nips at Yamaguchi’s neck, right where he’s preparing to mark him, and reaches a hand down to stroke Yamaguchi’s dick. Yamaguchi reacts to the touch with a shout that will more than likely get Kei a noise complaint from his neighbors, but he doesn’t care one bit. Kei’s own orgasm builds closer and closer as he continues fucking into Yamaguchi ruthlessly, and he knows Yamaguchi is close by how much he starts to tighten around his cock.
“Tadashi...Tadashi, I’m gonna cum. I’m gonna fill you up so good, baby,” He pants, “You’re going to be full of my pups soon enough. I’m going to claim you and get you pregnant as soon as possible, so everyone knows you’re mine. You’re mine, hear that? Mine.”
“Fuck, Kei..! Please, please, ‘m coming, claim me alpha, ple- agh!”
Kei wastes no time in biting down on the junction of Yamaguchi’s neck and shoulder, claiming the omega as he comes. As his teeth sink into flesh, Kei’s own orgasm spills inside of Yamaguchi and he thrusts one final time as his knot swells and locks them together. An indescribable pleasure washes over him as he feels the mating bond form between them. Once they’ve both finished, Kei collapses on top of Yamaguchi, both of them panting breathlessly.
In the morning, Kei will likely be embarrassed about letting his inner alpha out like this, but for now, he allows himself to feel the bliss of a fresh bond with the man he loves.

hey can you maybe recommend some of your favourite fics please!!
aaaah, i'm a little behind on asks because of college but i saw this and i couldn't help but scramble to respond as soon as i found the time!!!! i'm super flattered that you're asking me for fic recommendations, but you didn't specify any fandoms or genres so i can't guarantee that any of these will be your cup of tea (feel free to shoot me another ask if you'd like to elaborate though!!!!). i'll try to be as diverse as an unapologetic angstlord can be, so here we go:
(note: while i did my best to add cws, it's still possible that something slipped past me, so please be mindful. as a rule of thumb, i'm not going to add warnings for stuff that's already depicted in canon material)
.
.
campfire in your chest (haikyuu!!, canonverse, tsukkiyama-main & kagehina-side)
Kei realizes in their second year of high school that he's probably been in love with Yamaguchi since they were ten. However hopeless he might be in handling that situation, Kei prays he's at least not as hopeless as Hinata and Kageyama. But he just might be.
four tags for you: pining, slow-burn, friends to lovers and unresolved sexual tension. this one's a classic, an old favourite of mine. i remember reading it on lunch breaks in high school while daydreaming about my crush and getting frustrated with tsukishima because "dammit, at least one of us needs to get it together and that won't be me anytime soon". also, once your done with reading this, please do yourself a favour and spare some time to check out the companion piece to this fic, "stay, stay, stay", which can be summed up simply as "meanwhile, kagehina".
.
.
a soft place to fall (jojo's bizarre adventure: vento aureo, canon divergence, narancia/trish); cw: major character death
“This is my wound, too,” Narancia softly says, eyes shadowed by so many dark lashes. He presses down over her pulse, and Trish’s heart jumps to meet it. “And this is my heartbeat. I can be brave because you’re brave.”
In the ten days between Corsica and Sardinia, Trish learns about her new power, reflects on the past, and finds her reasons.
this deserves so much attention!! i love the writing style, the character interactions— everything just feels special and different! it's been a hot minute since i watched part 5, but i have distinct and fond memories of reading this fic. it really did trish's character justice and, as a sweet bonus, it successfully got me hooked on this adorable pairing.
.
.
count the days until they blur, then keep on counting (mob psycho 100, canon divergence, gen); cw: torture, child abuse, imprisonment, starving
What Teruki wanted was power, right? What he wanted was to hurt people? Even if he didn't, he's got it now.
okay, this *may* seem bad, but it's hands down one of my all time favourite reads, not just as a fanfic. it has a happy end (worry not!), reigen being a reluctant disaster dad and teru— god, i love the way he thinks, feels, *copes* and changes as a person over the course of this fic. it shows all sides of him, the good, the bad and the ugly. he tries, he struggles, he relapses and recovers. some works just stick with you forever, and i'd be lying if i said that this one didn't change my life. like, i thought that it was the bee's knees the first time i read it and i was so mad that it had to end that i talked my friend's ear off about how unfair it was (though upon re-reading, when i was older and capable of understanding things a little better, i decided that the ending was perfect as it was). it's definitely not a work that i would recommend to someone sensitive, but i think i've established myself as someone who enjoys meaningful angst.
.
.
storm shelter (genshin impact, canon compliant, gen); cw: animal death
Three different times, over the years, Diluc and Kaeya are trapped together in the snow.
i'm a sucker for unconventional sibling dynamics and messy, conflicted feelings and this fic *provides*. it's clear that diluc and kaeya care for each other deeply, but they're both stubborn dumbasses about it (mihoyo, let these two talk again, i'm begging you). though the scenario in each snippet is somewhat similar, pov shifts to kept things fresh and prevented the story from becoming repetitive.
.
.
being a wingman is a full time job (genshin impact, canon compliant, chiluc)
“What are you doing in Mondstadt?”
“You didn’t show up this week!” Childe says. “Aether brought Hu Tao instead. She really handed it to me, but it just wasn’t the same.”
“You…” Diluc stops. “You came all the way to Mondstadt just because I didn’t show up?”
Oh?
-
Kaeya discovers Diluc has a crush and, despite not being on the best of terms with his estranged brother, takes it upon himself to be the ultimate wingman.
this isn't among my favourite pairings for either party, but rumour says that if you say "oh, chiluc is just a crackship" enough times, you'll start shipping it for real so here we are. boy, where do i start?? a lighthearted, humorous fic every once in a while is good for the soul, basically a requirement. obvious idiot/oblivious idiot is a trope that i don't think i'll ever get tired of, but making the entire story be told from wingman's pov adds some extra spice to it.
.
.
a cheap imitation (durarara, canonverse, shizaya); cw: graphic depictions of violence and gore
“Attached to your neck is a collar that will inject a poison into your jugular vein two days from now. Forcibly removing the device will also trigger the poison. Somewhere on this island is the antidote.”
His hands reached up to his neck and he felt the cool metal of the collar.
“Live or die. Make your choice.”
god. these two are so disgusting and problematic, i love them. this fic pulls no stops. the author really looked at these two dumbasses and said "yeah, the only way they'd ever get along realistically is in a life or death situatio— wait," and we gotta appreciate that. well-thought-out survival stories are a very specific niche that i've always enjoyed, so adding familiar characters into the mix can only get me more intrigued. author also snatches all my uwus for appealing to my inner neat-freak and consistently finding different ways to give the boys hygienic products. if you want drama, tension and survival with some humour sprinkled in for the ~flavour~, this is a perfect read!
.
.
i admit i got a little carried away, but honestly??? who wouldn't when talking about something as wonderful as taking something that someone has poured their heart and soul into adding onto it out of love and passion??? i'm totally setting myself up for psychoanalysis with these recs, but tastes are subjective. i hope you'll find something of interest!! ^^

Happy December, hope you are doing fine! Great work on the suga fic, i loved it! i have been following this fic on AO3 that is about Yamaguchi having cancer it's a good fic with a lot of angst and fluff :3 They don't have tumblr. But i was wondering if you could do an AU part were Yams has had chemo therapy and tsukki is there with him when he experience the side effects (the works, vomiting etc) and helps him fight through his sickness and offer of support. Just TsukkiYama fluff and angst!!!
(tfw it turned into February)
The fic is called The Poison he tried to keep secret, right? It’s great, pls read it
trigger warning: cancer/chemotheraphy
One of the worst parts of having cancer is the treatment he has to undergo.
Yamaguchi’s life had been flipped upside down, ever since the diagnosis had been pushed into his face. He had just started his second year at Karasuno high school, eager to improve on his volleyball skills. Instead, he’s on a hospital bed, wishing he could return to his normal life.
But the worst part of it all, is having all of his identity stripped away. He’s another sick kid, to be pitied and stared at. It hurts in many places, but his heart aches the most. It wasn’t like he asked to be like this.
He wants to sleep all the time. His body is in too much pain for that to happen, which in turn exhausts all his energy. There’s no way for him to win. Every day, it feels like he’s doing something wrong.
“I’m just so tired.” Yamaguchi sighs, running his tongue over the sores in his mouth. It hurts, but it’s a compulsion. “I want to sleep.”
Tsukishima frowns. He never knows what to say, but he’s been visiting him every day in the hospital. Which is more than enough for Yamaguchi, all things considered. He only wishes he could go to school again. His immune system is too compromised, though, so that won’t be happening.
“Go to sleep.”
“I’m trying, Tsukki.”
Tsukishima sits beside the bed, on the stool that’s surely uncomfortable for someone his height. “Well, is there anything I can do?”
Although he sounds like he’s tired of it all, Yamaguchi knows he cares. If he could trade places with him, Yamaguchi knows he would do it in a heartbeat. He doesn’t know what to do, when his best friend is severely ill in a hospital bed.
They switch him to a new medication, designed to be stronger and more effective. It’s meant to kill the cancer faster, which means the side effects are worse. Yamaguchi misses the days when he could complain about being exhausted and having to wear wine coolers on his hands.
Now, it’s nausea and his smooth hair falling out by the day.
A painful, sick-sounding retch tears through Yamaguchi’s throat. It’s the fourth time that day, and it’s not even midday. There’s nothing except green-tinted liquid for him to throw up.
“It sucks,” Yamaguchi coughs, his abused throat burning worse than ever. “I don’t want to do this anymore.”
Tsukishima rubs his back tentatively. “I know. You’re trying so hard and that’s enough. I’m… sorry, that you have to go through this.”
Yamaguchi starts sobbing, as Tsukishima helps him sip on a glass of water. He has to work to keep it inside his stomach, fighting the urge to throw it back up. He hates feeling nauseous. The sickness claws at his insides, pushing out the poison that’s not there.
There’s strands of hair on his pillow, that definitely weren’t there before. Tsukishima notices, but tears his eyes away quickly. It doesn’t stop Yamaguchi from sobbing harder.
“I want to go home.”
Yamaguchi knows he can’t. It’s too dangerous, not when his immune system is weakened and a simple flu could take him straight back to hospital. But if the opportunity would ever arise, he would still take it.
“Of course you do. I want you back, too.” Tsukishima puts an arm around him, stroking his neck instead of his hair. “I love you.”
Yamaguchi’s eyes go round. He grows red, and his eyes brim with tears. Tsukishima is so nice to him, especially these past few days. He’s crushed with the feeling that he deserves better than a frail, sick boyfriend.
He just wants to get better, and meet him outside the hospital again.

Haikyuu!! Fic Recs #1
Hola!
I have wanted to make this post for ages (and the reason this blog was created) and am really excited to share some of my favourite Haikyuu fics with everyone!
I will be putting a ‘★’ next to the ones that i highly recommend and love with my heart and soul.
Lets get started!
KageHina
In Transit - by Mysecretfanmoments
Hinata finds that he likes standing close to Kageyama on buses and trains. It doesn't mean anything--probably. Maybe.
(complete)
baby, i can give you wings - by Metis_Ink
In which there are superpowers, cats, rainstorms, realizations, split-second jealousy, embarrassing volleyparents, killer whales, electric Kuroos, unstable emotions, bad romance movie mentions, some angst, some fluff, but mostly a lot of awkward high schoolers.
The minute Kageyama walks into the gym and sees Hinata hovering eight feet over the nets he knows he’s screwed.
(complete)
★ fake it, make it - by zadderlee
"Because Kageyama is already dating someone!"
"Really? Who?"
“Me!” Hinata shouts suddenly, grabbing Kageyama’s hand as an afterthought and grinning triumphantly, like he’s somehow missed the implications of what he’s just done. Kageyama is going to kill him.
(ongoing)
Oblivious To Love - by Karumasa
Yellow filled Hinata’s vision. The inside of his bag was stuffed full with bananas.
Hinata was terrified.
(complete)
DaiSuga
★ Fake Wedding March - by tsukkkiii (becauseitisbitter)

(complete)
forever is a long time but i wouldn't mind spending it with you - by  Interconnected_3
“What else?” Daichi blinks. “What else is there? Do you want me to tell you how you like your coffee?” He grins teasingly. “I don’t know, how do I like my coffee? By the way, you’re missing something.” “Cream and two and a half sugars- wait, I’m missing something?” “Yup,” Suga says. “You forgot to mention that we’re dating.” “Well, god, Suga, judging from how we’ve been kissing and holding hands for three years and in this bed for the past nine hours since last night, I couldn’t possibly tell.”
in which daichi finally gets the day off and teaches a romantically-frustrated suga how to be honest with himself. extreme fluff
(complete)
★ Black and Blue - by MTrash (Makaria)
Daichi's new (temporary) neighbor is not only stunningly beautiful but also funny, friendly, with just a touch of mysterious.
Naturally, Daichi freaks the fuck out.
(AU where everyone lives in the same building and everyone is gay)
(complete)
i do (cherish you) - by gabstar
The first time Daichi suggests it, it’s a joke.
“Sugawara Koushi,” he says solemnly. He’s bent on one knee, the floor is still sticky with sweat post-practice. He offers up the lost ring, found while mopping off gym floors. “Will you marry me?”
((Five times Daichi asks Suga to marry him, plus once where he finally, finally says yes.))

TsukkiYama
The Great Yamaguchi-Tsukishima Split (Capitalization Necessary) - by WyYeuw
"But no, the current situation isn’t normal. This situation requires the full attention of the team. No, what’s really concerning this time around, is that Yamaguchi is the one ignoring Tsukishima.” Yamaguchi confesses. Tsukishima fucks up—like, really fucks up. The volleyball club notices and loses a week’s worth of practice.

(complete)
Blood - by darkbluebox
Words like "Muggle-born" and "Pure-blood" don't mean a lot when you're still a child, but everyone has to grow up sooner or later.
(complete)
AsaNoya
Setting Aside Your Pride and Your Prejudice - by sugamama_crowshi
“Oh, Pride and Prejudice?” an unfamiliar voice asked. Noya was pulled from his search as the man before him spoke. He blinked up at him a few times. Then he stared. Nishinoya’s mouth was probably hanging open slightly. He couldn’t help it. Before him stood the single most gorgeous man Nishinoya Yuu had every laid eyes on.
Nishinoya Yuu experiences love at first sight at the library. Azumane Asahi is excited to think that another Japanese person has heard of Jane Austen. Through a series of lies and café meetups the two begin to learn more about each other. And fall for each other too.
(complete)
★ I’d Like You Anyway - by KuriKuri
Yū believes in soulmates, but that doesn’t mean he believes in them.
(Or: An AU in which any permanent marking you get on your body - like a tattoo - also appears on your soulmate. And Yū gets a lot of tattoos.)
(complete)
★ come and take a walk on the wild side - by Authoress
There’s a bloodcurdling scream of terror, and then Noya remembers that, right, there’s a new person moving into the apartment next to him. Oops.
(in which Noya is accidentally the Worst Neighbor Ever, Asahi loses twenty years of his life to stress, and Rolling Thunder is the star of the show.)
(complete)
Under the Radar - by lilien passe (lilienpasse)
Two weeks after Asahi rejoins the team, Noya finds himself starting to slip during practice. Missed receives, floor burns, the whole nine yards. But when Tanaka points out the possible cause, Noya's hard-pressed to believe him. There's no way someone as dopey yet implausibly-competent as Asahi could be the cause of all his distress. After all, Noya doesn't worry about much beyond the court, and he certainly doesn't hold grudges. Right? (Semi-AU)
(complete)
KuroKen
★ Saltwater Room - by hipster-yams (madamedicelia)
Kenma had been perfectly happy just attending class half-asleep, secretly practicing cello, and occasionally getting his hand stuck in the vending machine but certain people refuse to let his quiet bliss go on and force him to think about everything he's been trying to hide away in the depths of his mind for years.
(complete)
★ Water and Brimstone - by  aetherdrive
Kuroo and Kenma are assigned to go undercover as a result of Bokuto’s awkward attempt at playing matchmaker... but their simple case turns out to be a lot more dangerous than they expected.

Show A Little Faith - by minijhi
“Why are you sending me a singing Valentine telegram?" Kenma asks, mouth flattened. "It’s six months until Valentine’s Day.”
“I bought a dwarf over the summer to use as cupid.” Kuroo says. “I figured he could use some practice.”
-
Presenting Kenma as the Boy-Who-Lived, whose living becomes a lot more interesting when Ravenclaw Prince Kuroo Tetsurou starts sending him singing telegrams about defeating the Dark Lord.
(complete)
In The Dark Of The Night - by dgalerab
The Tokyo training camp has to use an older sports center while their usual one is renovated. Kenma is used to paying attention to the minor details, and the minor details in this place don't seem very friendly.

(complete)
IwaOi
the truth is out there - by shizuoh
"I work at NASA," Hajime said, setting down his coffee.
Oikawa immediately jumped up and slammed his palms against the table. "I'll suck your dick if you tell me about the aliens."
(complete)
★ love me like you do - by crossbelladonna
Iwaizumi’s family line is cursed to die a year after they fall in love. Admittedly, he knows falling for his childhood friend may be a mistake. But he did and he passed and Death got what he wants that is until Oikawa makes a trade—his memories for Iwaizumi’s life.
(complete)
The PDA jar - by Poteto
“What is that thing for?”
“I’m glad you asked, captain. This… is the Public Display of Affection jar. Or PDA jar for short.”

Tooru hides his face when he realizes he’s been caught, laughing a little bit to cover up his embarrassment. “I’m happy, Iwa-chan,” he says cheerfully.
(complete)
Multi/Misc.
★ Sincerely Yours - by quinnlocke [Multi.]
Saturday detention isn’t normally a place you go in order to find the answers to your problems
It’s where you go when you’ve fucked up bad enough you have to lose an entire Saturday to make up for what you’ve done.
The Prince and The Criminal were caught cutting class. The Outsider cursed out his Shakespeare professor. The Jock and The Brain got into a fist fight.
And the Birthday Boy, he’s not even supposed to be here...
(complete)
★ call me maybe - by totooru [MatsuMaki]
Hanamaki texts the wrong number when trying to extort tips out of Oikawa in order to defeat Iwaizumi in arm wrestling, and then continues to text the witty stranger who had answered.

Yahaba locks himself up in his room after their loss to Karasuno, so Kyoutani decides to take him on a little adventure.
(complete)
Mixed Signals - by snoqualmie [KyouHaba]
Feelings are definitely a thing he’s having. Kyoutani is really sweet. He’s family oriented and he prefers novels with female leads and he’s in all honors classes. He kind of has a big head, totally has a big smile, definitely has a big heart. His eyes are nice, he’s got that dimple. Yahaba groans and rubs his fists into his eyes.
(complete)
The Lost & the Found - by AJ (anna_panda) [Multi]
"Being lost is worth the being found."
Hinata thinks he finally knows his way around the castle, Kenma knows he definitely doesn't and it's a miracle Iwaizumi hasn't thrown Oikawa off the Astronomy Tower yet. Just another year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft & Wizardry.
(ongoing)
it's easier for you to let me go - by burritosong [YakuLev]
the one with the proposal
(complete)
1800-GET-REKT - by doggoneit [KuroTsukki]
“I see you like it Between the Sheets.”
“I beg your pardon?”
“Your drink. It’s good stuff but I’m more of a Blowjob kinda guy.”
(complete)
★ Crumbling Foundations - by Captain_Hughes_ZU, ToshiChan [Gen]
Things like this didn't happen in Karasuno. It was just a school. Learning, making friends, taking exams and playing volleyball. Lots of volleyball. So it was really nothing out of the ordinary for the team to be in the gym on a simple Monday morning, training away. But two men walking into the gym with guns, one demanding to take his son? That wasn't ordinary, not at all...
(complete)
And that’s a wrap, i really enjoyed putting this together! Got a bit of nostalgia from when i first started getting into Haikyuu.
I hope you enjoy reading the fics i recommended, i still have heaps more so look out for a second part!
Anyways,
Au revoir!

keep on keeping your eyes on me | TsukkiYama, T, 1.5k
NaNoWriMo Day 20: Bad Boy/Nerd AU Day Three of AU Week! Posting a new AU fic every day for one week.
Summary: Tadashi survives high school by being the resident delinquent. Landing a nerd of a boyfriend is a bonus.
WARNING: Brief mentions of bullying and smoking. Also Yamaguchi teasing Tsukki a lot lol.
Read on Ao3
A/N: Heavily inspired by @yankasmiles’ punkguchi, especially this art. Shout-out to @blulious who asked for TsukkiYama. Also huuuge thank you to @rainbow-slammer for the beta and solid advice!<3  All other mistakes are mine. Title is from Sparks Fly by Taylor Swift.
Tadashi knew giving himself a complete makeover once he entered high school was a gamble. He knew he had to change who he was if he wanted to survive high school, or else his bullies would continue picking on him as they kept getting bigger and stronger with their dumb sports teams. So he decided to become the resident delinquent. He gave himself blond hair, several piercings, and painted nails. He never wore his uniform correctly. One morning, he had to meet with the principal after he showed up with three new piercings, which easily spread rumours about his disobedience.
Though, that was also probably due to the fact he smoked and got into detention often. Whatever it was, it worked, and he solidified his identity as the school badboy. He hasn’t been bothered by a bully since.
He was, however, noticed by a tall, prickly blond in glasses.
Tsukishima was in most of his classes, but they never spoke until they were partnered up for an assignment during second year.
They stayed friends once they turned in the assignment, then became boyfriends not long after.
“When did you get all of your piercings?” Tsukishima asks him when they’re doing homework at the library one day.
Tadashi looks up from his notebook, meeting Tsukki’s questioning gaze. It’s strange for him to ask about personal things—always so standoffish even after they officially started dating—that Tadashi automatically replies.
“My older cousin does them at a tattoo place,” he begins. “But my first one”—he pauses, pulling his hair back to expose his left ear—“was in middle school. Good ol’ safety pin to the earlobe. The rest I slowly kept adding with my cousin’s help.”
He laughs. “My mom and Auntie—her mom—aren’t happy that she uses me as a test dummy for different piercings, but I like it.”
Tsukki looks at him with confusion. “So your mom is okay with it?”
He nods, shrugging a shoulder. “Yeah, she’s always known about my piercings,” he explains. “She was actually brought in to the principal’s office once because a teacher noticed them and thought they should intervene, but to be honest it backfired because people already thought I was a troublemaker. I did my tongue, like, a month after that.”
Tadashi smirks at the memory. He taps his tongue to the roof of his mouth to feel the metal ball of the piercing.
“Wait,” Tsukki says, “so she knows about your tongue piercing too?”
Tadashi blushes. “Ah, well,” he mumbles, “she definitely wasn’t happy about it. She was furious when I came home that evening.” He shudders at the memory.
Tsukki scoffs. “I can’t believe she let you keep it though.”
“It’s not like she could un-pierce my tongue,” he says with a shrug. “But she gave me and my cousin a stern warning to not do something like it again.”
Tsukki laughs, and Tadashi can’t help but grin. His boyfriend always has a flat, bored expression or unamused and annoyed scowl on his face, but he has the prettiest smile. Tadashi wishes he saw it more.
“It’s so weird,” Tsukki says, “thinking of your mom being angry. She looks like she’d barely hurt a fly.”
Tadashi frowns, grumbling, “Well, she does and she’s scary when she gets pissed.”
Tsukki hums, looking back to his homework. Tadashi doesn’t want to stop talking just yet, so he says, “Why’d you ask?”
The blond raises an eyebrow at him. “You’re just trying to avoid homework, aren’t you?”
Tadashi grins, pointedly closing his textbook and shoving it away. Tsukki rolls his eyes, but sets his notebook aside, indulging him in a conversation about how he got each of his piercings.
Tadashi’s smoking outside the Sakanoshita store while he waits for Tsukki. He takes a long drag of his cigarette when his boyfriend returns with two meat buns in hand.
“That will kill you, you know,” Tsukki says in lieu of a greeting.
Tadashi inhales one more drag before flicking the butt, crushing it with his boot as Tsukki hands him a pork bun.
“You’re more likely to die from smoking than you are getting struck by lightning,” the blond continues.
“Nerd,” Tadashi snickers. Of course Tsukki would know that.
Tsukki rolls his eyes. “It’s true, though.”
“Still a nerd.”
“Shut up, Yamaguchi.”
“Sorry, Tsukki!”
But they both know he’s not really sorry at all because he leans up to give the blond a peck on the cheek.
Tadashi skips class to get a haircut one day. He wants to change up his look after keeping the blond for a while now, especially since his mom won’t let him get another piercing. He had considered getting a tattoo, but he guesses that might actually be worse. He’s allowed to push limits, but he also doesn’t want his mom to kill him.
When he arrives home, he receives a text from Tsukki that he’s coming over to Tadashi’s house to give him his notes. Tadashi grins at the message; his boyfriend is the best. He ties up his hair and decides to fry up some frozen chicken nuggets since Tsukki’s coming over.
(They’re dinosaur shaped because Tsukki’s a giant nerd, and Tadashi loves indulging his boyfriend.)
doors open!! he texts before dropping the nuggets in a fryer. im cooking and cant leave the stove so just come in
Tsukki does just that. About ten minutes after he sends the message, Tadashi hears the front door opening, a voice calling out, “Yamaguchi?”
“In the kitchen, Tsukki!”
“Yamaguchi, I –” Tsukki abruptly cuts off. At the interruption, Tadashi looks at him, still poking at the nuggets with cooking chopsticks.
Tsukki narrows his eyes. “You cut your hair.”
Tadashi nods. “Yup!” he says as he looks back at the fryer, where the nuggets turn into a crispy golden brown. He picks the finished ones out and places them onto the plate he set aside earlier. “Skipped class because I wanted to get rid of the blond. And the barber said shaves are in so I thought, Why not, y’know?”
He picks out the last of the nuggets, turning off the fryer. “All done!” he announces happily, placing the plate onto the kitchen table.
When his boyfriend doesn’t say anything, he says, “Tsukki? You okay?”
“You... cut your hair.”
Tadashi raises an eyebrow. “Yes...?”
Suddenly a pair of lips crash onto his own, and Tadashi gasps into the kiss. He feels Tsukki’s hands sinking into his hair, fingers brushing the shave at the back of his head.
Tadashi giggles, catching his breath when he breaks the kiss.
“I’m guessing the haircut looks good?” he chuckles.
Tsukki flushes deep red, eyes flicking to the side to look away. His fingers still play with Tadashi’s hair though, and Tadashi giggles again, giving his boyfriend one more kiss on the lips.
“Glad you like it,” he snickers.
“Are those the dinosaur nuggets?” Tsukki asks, changing the subject by looking at the plate on the table. Tadashi would call him out for it but he decides to cut his boyfriend some slack, even if the blush on his cheeks is very cute.
Instead, he nods, humming an affirmative before walking away to grab dipping sauce.
“Do you want ketchup?” he asks once he reaches the fridge, but when he looks back he sees that Tsukki’s already sitting down and digging in.
The two of them hang out at Tsukishima’s house one afternoon. Tadashi has his head pillowed on his boyfriend’s lap, lying on the couch and fiddling with his phone as Tsukki quietly reads a book. One of his hands turns the page while the other plays with Tadashi’s hair.
After a while, the hand messing with his hair turns into Tsukki massaging his head, fingers softly scratching his scalp. Tadashi moans at the sensation.
“Mmm, feels nice, Tsukki,” he sighs. “Keep doing that.”
“Shut up, Yamaguchi,” Tsukki says. “My brother’s home and we’re not even in my room.”
Tadashi smirks, putting his phone aside. If he thinks that’s inappropriate...
“Oh, Tsukki!” he moans, obnoxiously loud. “Don’t stop!”
Tsukki pushes him off his lap, and Tadashi rolls onto the floor howling with laughter. The fall hurts, but he’s laughing so much he doesn’t care.
“Yamaguchi, oh my god.”
Tears start to prick at the corners of eyes, arms wrapped around his stomach because he’s laughing so hard. He vaguely hears someone coming down the stairs.
“Kei? Tadashi?” Akiteru calls out. “Is everything okay? I heard a loud noise.”
Tadashi continues cackling as he sits up on the floor, catching his boyfriend rolling his eyes.
“We’re fine, Nii-san,” he replies while glaring at Tadashi.
“If you’re sure...” Akiteru sounds hesitant, but Tadashi hears him going back up the stairs.
Tsukki shoves his shoulder. “Asshole. What if he heard you?”
Another bubble of giggles bursts out of Tadashi. “I’m pretty sure he did hear me, Tsukki.”
“Shut up, Yamaguchi.”
“Sorry, sorry!”
“No, you’re not.”
Tadashi grins at him, climbing back onto the couch. Tsukki has his arms crossed over his chest, a deep red tinting his cheeks. He crowds close to lean his head on Tsukki’s shoulders. His boyfriend doesn’t push him away.
“No, I’m not.”

Soulie’s Fic Rec List
I’m the worst person to do a fic rec list because I barely have anything bookmarked and can’t remember the names of anything ever, but I wanted to take part in this so here we go. This will be mostly Haikyuu!!, some Batman, and one Special Mention of Voltron. No explainations, or I’d be here all night screaming about things.
Haikyuu!!
Red Feather by ChosenofKagami  (TenSemi)
Their world was reduced to a single home, of broken windows and forgotten bodies. Their world was a sanctuary and a hell, ruled by the feather and stained in crimson. ||Semi Eita awoke in a strange, strange place, filled with strange, strange people. Semi Eita found himself at the bottom of a monster's food chain, with no way out.
The Blossoms, Just In Time by Thewindraiser (DaiSuga)
Nanny Required
I am looking for a nanny to look after my 8 years old daughter and 4 years old son Monday to Friday from 14:00 to 19:00. They must be a caring, energetic person by nature, well-educated and reliable. Experience working with children and a first aid qualification are required. I’m willing to pay-
Suga looks down at the salary and before he knows it he’s already searching for his phone. Sawamura Daichi-san answers almost immediately and for a moment Suga is caught off guard at how attractive the man’s voice is. “Hello?” “Yes, um, hi. I’m calling about your ad for a nanny. My name is Sugawara Koushi…”
Thieves In The Night by skittidyne (KuroKen)
“Oh.” The man blinks a couple times, surprised, and looks around at the mess again. “…You live like this?”
The amount of raw sympathy in his voice is, frankly, insulting. “Why are you in my bedroom in the middle of the night?”
“Oh, I was going to rob you,” the man replies easily. He winces at the mess around him once more. “I, uh, kind of thought you were already hit, and I didn’t want to make things worse for you, y’know?”
“Get out.”
Just Desserts by Kaiyou (UshiShira / UshiShiraGoshi)
Shirabu is perfectly happy running his boyfriend's restaurant. He's perfectly happy with - and fully satisfied by - said boyfriend. So why does their new pastry chef bother him so much - and just what is he supposed to do about it?
In which Ushiwaka is an executive chef, Goshiki wants to be, and Shirabu has to put up with knowing more details about Tendou and Semi's sex life than any sane person should ever have to put up with.
Don’t Look Now by Pancakewars (kuroken)
Kuroo sees Kenma with glasses for the first time.
Divine Intervention by Wetbreadstick (TsukkiYama)
The angel watches Yamaguchi dissolve into a puddle of existential uncertainty, expression betraying nothing. "You have a good soul." he says flatly. "But you're prone to accidents, and it's been decided that you need protection."
Yamaguchi gapes at him. "Are you saying," he begins cautiously, "that God thinks I'm a good egg?"
With or Without You by Risquetendancies (kuroken)
Going to visit Kuroo at university should have led to a confession, but what it yields is half of Kenma's heart being gutted from his chest. Never in his life has he felt more lonely.
Batman
Torture me With All I’ve Wanted by ohmcgee (JayTim)
He shouldn't be the one to explain this shit to him. It should be someone he trusts, someone who hasn't tried to fuck him up and fuck him over so many times, someone he actually likes.  But he's here and he's asking Jason now and it occurs to Jason that Tim's lost so many people, maybe he really is the only one he can come to.
The Edge In Your Affection by sinous_curve (BruTim)
The thing about Bruce is that Tim can never, ever see the moment where his internal flip happens. The logical extension of that is that there is no conscious shift for him, that this is as integral a part of who he is as becoming the Bat. That, too, falls under the heading of things Tim wonders about, but has no particular need to ever talk about. The thought only ever comes moments before he’s suddenly preoccupied.
Moonlit by Onyx_stars (JayTim)
"You're the one of the bat brood that's working on the vampire case, right?" It's not a "vampire case", Tim wants to say, but he gets what Jason means. He gives a short nod. Jason takes a deep breath. There's still something strange about his eyes, but in the dim light and from this distance, Tim can't quite make out what it is. It bugs him, though. Jason runs a hand through his hair and lets out a deep sigh. "Well, the thing is..."
Super Special Voltron Mention bc I don’t even go here
Incandescence by Onyx_stars (Klance)
By the time the team gets Keith back, he has been a captive of the Galra for over two months. Or at least they hope it's Keith -– not just a furry, purple monster who tried to kill their leader.

The Movement of Stars
A continuation of my college au Tsukkiyama fic If You Meant It, which you can read here or here.
Chapter One
Summary: After Yamaguchi drunkenly reveals his feelings for Tsukishima the two of them agree to move their friendship forward into a romantic relationship. They must navigate the changes this brings to their lives and the lives of those around them. Lots of fluff, probably lots of angst, and a general serving of college au shenanigans
Read below or on Ao3.
A week had passed since Tadashi drunkenly told Kei he loved him. Six days since he repeated it, sober and with tears streaming down his face. For Kei it had been years since he knew it to be true for himself. Nothing much changed between the two boys over the past week. They still woke up in the mornings, sometimes at the same time but mostly Kei hours before Tadashi. They went to class and volleyball practice; they took the same train home together. Every night dinner was more or less on the table, or else eaten hunched over piles of books on the floor. The dark parts of the night passed the same - Tadashi in his bed, and Kei in his own, separated by a wall insulated by anxiety and uncertainty. Maybe their hands brushed each others more often. Sometimes Kei would catch Tadashi watching him closely over the top of his cup of coffee. The space they left between them on the couch had shrunk, and when a draft swept in through the poorly treated windows they would now share the same blanket. The things that were different were small and hesitant, like a chick testing its wings before jumping out of the nest. We’ll take it slow, they agreed. There’s no rush.
Rushing forward with no consideration was the type of thing Hinata did, and Kei would be damned if he acted the same way that scatterbrain did. So he and Tadashi decided that they would let things progress naturally, as they always had. Doing things naturally took over ten years to get them to this point, however, and Kei was getting tired of waiting. The things he dreamed about he was now able to admit without guilt, and after imagining for so long he was eager to make his fantasies real. For Tadashi, though, he would hold back. The last thing he wanted was to ruin this thing that only just started. Kei was sitting in the kitchen watching a video on his phone when Tadashi stumbled in. It was early for him: ten am on a Saturday, after Kei heard him still awake at four in the morning. He was still wearing the clothes he slept in - an old tee shirt from their high school volleyball team, two sizes too small, and plaid flannel pants that hung low enough on his waist that Kei could see the distinct lines his hip bones made. Tadashi raised a hand to rub at his eyes and yawned. He felt for the back of the chair and pulled it out just enough to slump into it. A wave of deja vu pulled at Kei’s perception. This same thing happened last week, though instead of smiling at Tadashi’s disheveled state he had wanted nothing more than to never look him in the eyes again. What a difference a week made. Or more accurately, a single moment, or a single sentence. This time Kei’s fingers twitched not because he wanted to curl them into a fist but because he wanted to reach out across the table and push a lock of Tadashi’s hair out of his face. Would that be okay? That would fine now, right? He raised his wrist an inch off the table, then two. He was about to straighten his elbow and extend his arm when Tadashi pushed the hair aside himself. He let his arm fall back on the table, trying to make the motion look natural. Tadashi did not notice, just like he did not notice any time in the past week when Kei attempted to reach out to him, only to lose courage at the last minute. As tired as Kei was of waiting, he also found it difficult to speed things up.   After a mumbled ‘good morning’ Tadashi pushed himself up from the chair and began to rummage around the kitchen cupboards. Kei could not go back to focusing on the video streaming to his phone. His eyes instead watched Tadashi as he reached for the high shelf, his heels lifting off the floor. Kei’s own feet slid a few inches back on the tile beneath him, as if in preparation of standing up. I could get out of my chair too, he thought. Walk up behind Tadashi and put my arms around him. Tadashi returned to the table with a bowl full of cereal and milk. Kei and Tadashi had a rhythm. It was comfortable and safe and it could go on indefinitely. What they needed, Kei realized, was to break that rhythm. “Hey,” he said, seeking Tadashi’s attention. The other boy looked up from his cereal, a drop of milk clinging to his lip before being licked away. Kei swallowed the excess saliva that suddenly filled his mouth and continued. “Let’s go out on Wednesday night.” “Sure, Tsukki,” Tadashi answered with no hesitation. He pushed another spoonful of cereal into his mouth before his eyes went wide. He coughed, sputtering a bit of milk across the bowl in front of him. “Wait, you mean l-like a date?” Kei let himself laugh at Tadashi’s surprised expression and the mess he made of his breakfast. “Yeah,” he said simply. Wednesday’s weren’t a typical date night, Kei knew that. What they were, though, was the only night of the week that he and Tadashi reliably had a few hours free. Practice ended early, and Tadashi did not have a night class. Kei’s study group did not meet on Wednesday’s, and there were never any last minute invitations to social events. Wednesday’s were nights for the two of them. “Our first date! Yes!” Tadashi was grinning now, his eyes scrunched up around the corners and his cheeks stretched from the strain. The look on his face alone was almost worth waiting so long to suggest a date. Almost. “What do you want to do?” Tadashi asked around another bite of food. Kei smirked, and tried his best to look down at his phone, indifferent. “It’s a surprise.” Kei had dreamed up a thousand dates in his head over the years. Hundreds of nights out or afternoons spent in, each one etched into the part of his memory reserved for fantasies involving Tadashi. Suddenly none of them were good enough. Wednesday was five days away, though. He was certain he could come up with the perfect first date by then. There was no other option. “No way. You’re going to plan a whole date?” Tadashi laughed, the skepticism clear on his freckled face. “This’ll be fun.” “If you think I don’t know exactly what you like…” “No, no,” Tadashi said, waving his hands up in defense. There was still a glimmer of laughter in his eyes, and Kei for once did not care that he was being lied to. “I’m sure you’ll pick something great.” Finished with his cereal, Tadashi stood up and brought the bowl to the sink. It might have been Kei’s imagination but he thought there was more of a skip in Tadashi’s step than there ever was this early in the morning. “Mhmm,” Kei answered. “Hand me the coffee?” Tadashi nodded and poured him a cup, even going so far as to find the cream in the fridge and add it until the coffee was a pale brown. He brought it to where Kei was sitting, walking slowly so not to spill the over filled mug. When he placed it on the table he did not move away, but leaned back against the wood in a position that made Kei very aware of how close he was. “Oh! Are we going to go on a coffee date maybe?” he asked. An intimate date at a tucked away cafe had been high on Kei’s list of dream scenarios. A place with good music and coffee with so much whipped cream that he had to use his thumb to wipe it off Tadashi’s lips. Maybe for a second date. “If we were I wouldn’t tell you.” “No?” Tadashi questioned. He gave Kei a mischievous smile and leaned closer across the table. “I bet I can get it out of you before Wednesday.” Kei returned a smirk of his own, and crossed his arms over his chest, resolute. “I don’t think so.” “I do! You can’t hide anything from me, Tsukki.” I think I did a good job hiding my feelings from you, Kei thought. Too good a job, maybe. This time before answering Kei followed Tadashi’s lead and leaned forward in his chair until he was only inches away from the other boy. His eyes roamed over Tadashi’s face, taking in the bright expression and sense of confidence he wished would reach the surface more often. “That’s only because you’re too cute,” he said. “It has nothing to do with your interrogation skills.” Tadashi’s face turned red faster than Kei could believe. It started in the middle of his cheeks and spread like wild fire until even the tips of his ears were pink. It was the first time Kei had called Tadashi cute, at least out loud. The words were surprisingly easy; they flowed off his tongue like he had said them a million times before. He wanted to say them again, to say even more things just to see what expression Tadashi would make. Maybe there were new expressions Kei had yet to see, ones that he would become addicted to causing. Tadashi valiantly tried to hide his embarrassment, but did not back away from Kei’s nearness. “I-if you’re trying to distract me-" He paused, his eyes growing wide. “Oh, I’m going to be late meeting Hinata! I’ve got to get dressed!” With a small push off the table, Tadashi was halfway across the kitchen. Kei watched him rush away, a hollow feeling settling in his chest that he could only identify as disappointment.
“A date?” The voice coming through the speakers of Kei’s laptop sounded incredulous. “With Yamaguchi?” On the screen Kuroo and Bokuto’s faces both morphed into mirroring grins. “It’s about damn time,” Bokuto said, nudging Kuroo half out of the frame. He brought his face close to the camera and shook his head.  “We were starting to think you’d die before you said anything.” Kei adjusted the set of headphones over his ears, flinching at how loud Bokuto’s voice was when he spoke so close to the microphone. It was almost as bad as when he was there in person. “Gee, thanks,” he said flatly. He was ready to face whatever his two friends had to say about he and Tadashi starting to date, but not to discover they already knew about his feelings. That he was so easy to read agitated him. Somewhere in Tokyo Kuroo shoved his way back into the view of his webcam, and Kei could once again see his whole face. “So what, do you need love advice? Sex advice?” The grin he gave the camera made Kei want to retch. This was a bad idea. Before he could shut down any notion of needing advice in that area, Bokuto cut in with usual disregard. “Oho, I can help with that. You just get comfortable and let Bokuto tell you a story.” Kei considered closing his laptop. Skype called ended, power off. His hand even gripped the edge of the screen in preparation. Why did Bokuto have to be with Kuroo every time Kei wanted to talk? The thought that many of his friends probably thought the same about him and Tadashi did not cross his mind. That was different. “God,” he sighed, and brought his hand away from the screen. “Why did I tell you this? What temporary insanity overcame me.” He should have known when he texted Kuroo that morning that it was not going to be as simple as asking for advice and receiving it. No, Kuroo always liked to tease him a bit before offering real advice, and Bokuto, well, Kei would be surprised if he had any real advice to give. They were two of Kei’s closest friends apart from Tadashi though, and he he did not know who else to turn to. “Chill out,” Kuroo said. “Bo, you calm down too. Can’t you see our little Tsukki needs serious help?” Kei’s jaw clenched. No matter how many times  they called him Tsukki it never ceased to irritate him. It only sounded right coming from Tadashi. “We can see you roll your eyes you know,” Kuroo scolded. He settled against the couch he and Bokuto were sitting side by side on.  “Now what’s the issue?” “There’s no issue,” Kei said, defensive. He paused and bit the inside of his lip; he needed their help, but it was hard to admit he was at a loss. “I’m planning our first date. I’ve got plenty of ideas, I just…” “Can’t pick the right one?” There was an exaggerated gasp in Kei’s headphones. “Is Tsukki admitting he can’t do something himself? Quick Kuroo, take a screenshot!” “Bo, I swear to god.” Kuroo pushed at Bokuto’s arm, playfully threatening him. When he turned back to the camera his expression shifted to something more gentle.         “Listen, Tsukki. You’re been in love with Yamaguchi how long? And believe me it’s obvious he’s loved you too. Just pick anything.” It’s obvious. Had his and Tadashi’s feelings for each other been obvious to everyone but them? How embarrassing. Still, the thought of Tadashi returning his feelings was new to Kei, and when he heard it stated as a fact from Kuroo he did not fail to notice the way his heart rate sped up, or the smile he stubbornly resisted that tried to tug at his lips. “Wow, why didn’t I think of that myself?” he drawled. Just picking anything was harder than it sounded. Already he had gone through dozens of date ideas in the past day and a half, rejecting each for one reason or another. Too cliche, too boring, too much for a first date. Nothing he thought of was perfect enough. Add to that Tadashi pestering him every chance he got with guesses of what Kei had planned and he was desperate enough to call Kuroo. And here he was now, no better off than before the call. Luckily he still had two days. “Cut back the sarcasm,” Kuroo said with a grin. “We’re helping.”   “Now, about that sex advice…” Bokuto added, and Kei knew the conversation was only going to go downhill from there.
Wednesday came faster than Kei liked. That’s how it always was; the more he wanted just one more day, one more hour to prepare the quicker time moved. Before he knew it the clock hanging on the gymnasium wall read five in the evening, and Daichi was telling everyone to go home and rest in preparation for their long practice tomorrow. Kei followed his teammates out of the open court and into the locker room where they were already shrugging off the serious tone of practice. There were conversations about exams and weekend plans, and the usual teasing that Kei himself was often the center of. Today he let Tanaka take over and headed straight to his locker to change clothes. He passed by Tadashi on the way, who was busy pulling a shirt over his head. He resisted the urge to stop and help slip the collar past his hair. There was no reason to draw attention to the two of them just yet. Or ever. By the time Kei changed clothes and splashed water over his sweat damp face the locker room was mostly empty. Asahi was still working through the knots in his hair with a fine comb, wincing as the tangles caught and tugged at his scalp. He gave Kei a half hearted smile as he walked by. At the door Tadashi was chatting with Hinata. He was leaning on the frame, one foot tapping against the floor to some unheard music. Kei approached with his expression set, just like this was any other day. He and Tadashi always left practice together. Everyone knew they shared an apartment; there was nothing suspicious about the two of them heading out at the same time. And yet Hinata had a shit eating grin on his face the moment he saw Kei. Tadashi turned in the direction Hinata was looking and gave a small wave. He picked up his bag from the floor and shouldered it as Kei reached him, ready to leave. Kei spared a single nod at Hinata and, without stopping, continued to walk through the door. Tadashi followed with a hastily shouted goodbye at Hinata. “Bye Yamaguchi!” Hinata called after them, and Kei was not yet far enough away to miss his manic giggle. “Have fun on your date!” Kei stopped walking and Tadashi, who had been looking back at Hinata, bumped into his back. “You told him?” Kei asked, looking down at Tadashi with raised brows. Of all the people Tadashi could have mentioned this to, it had to be Hinata. The loud mouth. The little ray of sunshine that Kei wanted to douse with a fire hose. If Hinata knew about his and Tadashi’s date then soon everyone on the team would. Was it too much to ask to keep their new found relationship quiet until he better knew how to handle it? All he wanted was the time to make it perfect without interference. But that looked unlikely, now. “Well, yeah,” Tadashi said, shrugging. “I wanted to tell everyone, but.” Kei was somewhere between mortified and ecstatic that Tadashi wanted everyone to know about the two of them. Mortified won out in the end as he imagined the endless teasing that would be doled out to him in some sick form of karma. At his side Tadashi was pulling his phone out from his pocket. “Besides, you told Kuroo! He texted me.” Kei did not try to read the text on the screen that Tadashi was holding in front of his face. He did not want to know. I should never have told Kuroo, he thought not for the last time. “I’m going to kill him.” “Do it tomorrow, then,” Tadashi said. “Tonight let’s go on our date.” The sudden pressure of Tadashi’s hand gripping his caused Kei to misstep. He shuffled his feet forward, rebalancing himself before looking down at the small hand around his. It was surprisingly soft, and Kei recalled the hand lotion that sat on the bathroom counter which he never used, but was now certain Tadashi did. “Yeah,” Kei answered, still entranced by the way their hands fit together. He looked up to see Tadashi watching his face closely. “Are you ready?” “Yep! I’ve…I’ve been ready for a long time, you know.” Kei changed the position of his hand so his fingers laced with Tadashi’s. “Me too.”
