I'm not drooling
Tumblr media
Val! Bruce Wayne x Reader
Female reader
This is pretty self-indulgent of me.
Bruce is sitting right there half naked. Of course, you're going to look.
♡♡♡
It didn't matter to you that Bruce and Dick were arguing. It was of no surprise that Bruce would tell him no, but you weren’t about to get in the middle of them. Both of them would just have to see from the other’s point of view.
Your mind was focused on something else. You were sat a little bit off to the side, lightly nibbling on the nail of your thumb. Your eyes were slowly trailing along the bare chest of Bruce Wayne. Alfred was patching him up after his fight. Meaning, he was sitting half naked in front of you.
Dick was really unhappy, going by the sound of his voice. It still felt best not to intervene, but then you heard your name and you had to look away from the glorious sight you had been admiring.
“Are you even listening?” Dick asks.
“What were you talking about?” You ask in return.
Dick sighs.
“You’re not even paying attention. You’re just drooling over Bruce.” Dick storms off, fed up. You want to call out to him, but his name dies on your tongue.
Turning back around, you find Bruce looking at you.
“I was NOT drooling,” you state. You get up and walk over to the desk to make yourself look busy.
Bruce smiles as he watches you.
“Come here,” he says.
You stop your fiddling and slowly turn around, looking him. He is sat back in his chair smiling at you. Still half naked.
“You can look. I don’t mind.”
God, you were feeling all kinds of things. It wasn’t fair that he was just sitting there looking handsome. Chest out for all to see. If you were any closer there was no way you would be able to keep your hands to yourself.
“Come here, I said.”
Oh, he was serious about that.
“Why? I can you perfectly fine from here.” There is absolutely no way you could behave yourself.
“Just, come here.”
He beckons you over with his fingers. Well, now he’s just asking for trouble.
You take a couple steps closer and stand there.
The small little laugh that escapes his lips has you squeezing your knees together. God, this man was so unfair.
“Closer,” he beckons.
“Isn’t this close enough?”
“Not for me. I can’t touch you from over there,” he says. You’re pretty sure you just died and went to heaven. There is no way he just said that.
Seeing that you weren’t making a move, Bruce leans forward in his chair, careful of the wound on his side. He smiles softly as he holds his hand out to you. He wants you closer.
You look at his hand and then back at him. He’s daring you to take it with his eyes. You reach out and place your hand in this. Bruce moves quickly. With a tug that’s not too hard he pulls you forward. You fall into his lap, his open legs allowing you space to get as close as possible. His arms are quick to wrap around you and you have no choice but to be against his bare chest.
His chest vibrates as he laughs.
“Bruce!”
“I don’t mind you looking. I don’t mind if you’re drooling over me. When it comes to you, I never mind,” he says.
“Bruce?”
He lets you go enough for you to move and look up at him. He meets your eyes.
“I’ve never felt this way before,” he tells you.
“Felt like what?” You ask, voice merely a whisper.
“This,” he mutters.
Next thing you know, his lips are on yours and you’re kissing him back. Palms flat against his chest as you try to keep up with his hungry kiss. You never thought you would ever find yourself in this position with Bruce Wayne.
He parts from you, but not too far. You’re still wrapped up in his arms.
“I find the bedroom a much more comfortable place,” he says, voice smooth as silk.
“Oh?”
“As do I, Master Wayne. I shall leave you both to it,” Alfred says. You had forgotten he was still in the room.
Bruce grins as his butler excuses himself.
“Shall we?” He asks, looking at you.
“You don’t want to take me to dinner first?”
Bruce brushes his lips against yours.
“I think we’re past that, don’t you?”
You smile and stand up slowly, hand catching his before you were too far away. He stands up, not once having his eyes leave yours.
“If you keep looking at me like that, we won’t make it to the bedroom,” you tell him.
He smiles.
“Better behave then,” he tells you.
How can you possibly behave when he’s looking at you like that! And he’s still half naked! It’s your turn to pull him along as you walk. Bruce stays right behind you all the way to the bedroom.
The door shuts behind him. You let go of his hand as you stare at him.
“Tell me, Bruce. What do you desire?”
“You.”
You smile as he closes the gap between you and kisses you exactly the same way he did down in the cave.
Neither Alfred nor Dick sees you for the rest of the night. Alfred, however, does see you in the morning, half covered as you’re wrapped up in Master Wayne’s arms.
He smiles and just gets on with his job.

just a lil batman / bruce x civilian!reader concept i’ve been thinking of a lot lately >:)
𝗗𝗢 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗧 𝗜𝗙 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗕𝗟𝗢𝗚 𝗜𝗦 𝟭𝟴+.
imagine fucking bruce after not seeing him for a couple days bc he’s out on vigilante duty, not even bothering to take the suit off, just smashing your lips onto his as soon as he crosses the door. the familiar smooth plastic, cold and wet suit that touched your fingertips made your stomach do somersaults. him lifting you up and roaming his hand all over your body, not being able to contain himself and the neediness that would be charged in every single stroke he would give as soon as he’s buried in you so deep you can both barely breath. it’s not extremely rough or soft and tender sex, it’s a perfect combination; a limbo in between that makes your head spin in thousands of circles yet neither of you can keep your eyes or hands off each other during it and not even after it. even if you close your eyes because bruce is hitting that spot just perfectly he’ll say in you ear “look at me.” demandingly in that whispery and low tone his voice has that you can’t help but submit to every single time.

Heather- Jason Todd x Chubby Reader Pt.1
{Author's Note: _____ is a blank to put your name}
"Girl, just tell him!" Barbara whispered and nudged me towards my best friend, Jason Todd aka Robin, the boy wonder.
I had found out about him being Batman's sidekick when we were 13, shortly after he became Robin.
"Easy for you to say! Look at you! You're gorgeous! You're fit and thin and redheaded! Just look at me… I'm...not so fit... I'm chubby. I'm a plain bagel. I'm not ugly but I'm not exactly pretty either." I sighed and gestured to my chubby body.
" ______, I know what I'm telling you. Just tell him." She sighed. "Besides, you're gorgeous too! And very intelligent and mature for a fifteen-year-old!" Barbara smiled, holding up a banana like a wand.
"As if. What guy my age sees a girl and goes, 'What a lovely personality?' Get real Babs, no one wants a plain bagel." I shrugged.
"Welp, I gotta get going or I'll be late for work. But trust me, he won't turn you away." She turned away, obviously knowing something I didn't.
"Hey _____!" Jason spoke as he walked up to me from the curb of the grocery store, I had gone to buy some fruit my mom had told me to get.
"Hey Jay." I sighed with a slight blush on my cheeks.
"Are you okay? It's kinda cold today… Where's your jacket?" He asked, tilting his head to the side slightly.
"My jacket!" I gasped. "I forgot it at school!"
"School's closed now. They just locked the gate." He replied with a shrug.
"My mom's going to kill me. That's the only jacket I have!" My eyes watered, knowing my mother was going to be furious with me when I got home.
"Take mine then. I have others at home." He unzipped his hoodie.
"N-no. It's fine. I can get it Monday from school." I spoke softly while staring at the ground.
He draped his jacket over my shoulders. "I said, take it. Besides, it looks better on you than me. It goes well with your hair color. Here, let me hold your stuff so you can get it on." He smirked, knowing I wouldn't refuse if he spoke sternly with me. He took the bag from my hands and I looked at him. "Zip. It. Up." He frowned.
"Yes sir." I put my arms in the jacket and zipped it up. He was bigger and bulkier than I was, so the jacket fit me rather loosely and was down to my mid thighs but it was comfortable and warm. Much warmer than the jackets and sweaters I had before.
"Hm… keep it. I know your dad hasn't been working a lot lately. It gets pretty cold so you can keep that one. Bruce got me some others at home. Just don't tell anyone, got it? I only share with you because I've known you since we were kids. You took care of me so I'm taking care of you." He looked at me, handing back the bag of fruit. "Now, don't think I'm getting soft or being a gentleman. You're still carrying your stuff." He smirked.
I smiled and chuckled. "Thanks." I took the bag and walked down the street with him.
"Hi Jason!" An annoying voice called out from the ice cream shop.
"Hm? Oh, hey Heather." Jason turned around and seemed slightly irritated.
"Are you going to the pep rally tonight?" Heather asked with fluttering eyelashes. She was Jason's girlfriend.
Dark hair, slim figure, bright eyes, how could I compete with that?
"Uh, no." He replied flatly.
"Why not, I'm going to be performing!" She countered.
"I'm just not feeling it. I don't like pep rallies." He shrugged. "Not my thing."
"Okay then. Wanna get some ice cream?" She asked.
"Go ahead and go home ______, I'll catch up later." He looked apologetically at me and walked across the street.
I nodded and kept walking.
I watched as Heather smiled and hugged him.
It hurt.
He was dating her and she was so sweet. Everyone loved her so, I can see why he did too. She always had a smile on her face.
I kept walking, tears stinging my eyes. There's no way I could ever be like her. He liked her more and would run to her at the drop of a hat.
Arriving at home, I stepped inside. "Hey mom! I'm back!" I set the bag on the counter.
"Oh good! Make sure you do your homework!"
"Yes ma'am!" I sigh and go up to my room, closing the door.
Out of instinct, I called my friend, Valerie.
"A simple solution to your problem is to play spin the bottle or something." She teased.
"Why would he ever kiss me? I'm nowhere near as pretty as Heather!" I clutch the sleeves of the hoodie before taking it off and throwing it onto my bed.
"He gave her his sweater." My eyes watered as I told her what had happened at school that day.
"The black one or the fake polyester one?" Valerie asked.
"The black one."
"Oh dear. I'll be right over." She hung up.
"Is it wrong to wish she were dead?" I chuckled softly when Valerie came through my bedroom door.
"Yes. It's your jealousy and I'm gonna chop off your legs if you continue on this path, Anakin." Valerie smirked.
"Dude, I was kidding." I turn in my swivel chair.
"Yeah, it was a failed attempt at a joke. I'm sorry about Jason. If it makes you feel better, Bradley dumped me." She looked at the ground.
"Here's the plan, I drive the car and Jason shoves him into the road and we make it look like an accident." I spoke whilst drawing out the plan.
"Don't worry about it."
"Worry about what?" Jason walked in.
"Oh, you came!" Valerie smiled.
I looked at her, what a traitor.
"So, I heard you gave Heather your sweater!"
"This one?" He held up said object. "Eh, we broke up. She liked someone else and so did I." He sat on a beanbag chair.
"Wait what? But you really liked her and she's so nice!" I exclaim in shock.
"Relax ______, it was mutual." He chuckled. "There's actually something I came to talk to you about." He seemed nervous, his cheeks tinting red and so were the tips of his ears.
"What is it?" I asked.
"I'll go get water." Valerie got up, stretched and went downstairs.
"I don't know how to say this. This is difficult for me but… I'm sorry. I don't want to be your friend anymore." He sighed.
My eyes widened. "W-what?"
"Yeah. I'm...tired of it." He stood up.
"But Jason, you're my best friend!"
"I know. Hey, do you know what material this shirt is?" He checked his shirt.
"Jason, now's not the time-"
"Answer!"
"I don't know! Cotton, maybe?!" I was growing panicked and my eyes were stinging with tears.
"Wrong, it's boyfriend material. And so is that hoodie." He smirked.
I stood in silence.
"What?" He asked.
"Jason Peter Todd, are you...asking me to be your girlfriend????" I stood, mouth agape in shock.
He smirked and nodded. "Sure thing buttercup! I... love you." His face turned beet red.
"Why? I'm not pretty. I'm not slim or fit or anything-"
"Because you're smart, and cute, you're kind and brave. You're so cool too and geek out with me. We both nerd out over science stuff and books. What's not to love???" The look on his face was one of pure confusion, as if the answer was as clear as day.
"Jason, I love you too." I spoke in a hushed whispers as a few years fell from my eyes.
"Don't cry! Why are you crying???"
"I'm just happy! I've liked you for so long!"
"So have I but I'm not crying!"
"I didn't think you'd like me because I'm chubby!"
"What?! You think I'm that shallow? I'm offended!"
"Jay and ______ sitting in a tree~" Valerie teased from the doorway.
"Val!" We exclaimed in unison, Jay pulling me into a side hug.
"Fine! I'mma head out!" She grabbed her backpack and left.
A few days later, Jason was going to leave for a mission that I didn't want him to go on. I knew how dangerous it was for him to go alone.
"I'm leaving...for Bosnia. Bats needs my help." He looked at me sadly.
"Jay, please. Don't go. What if something happens?" I pleaded, clutching onto him tightly.
It was only a few days ago that he confessed to me and we were trying to figure out where to go with our relationship, which led to this argument.
"I'll come back. I promise." He kissed the top of my head. "Love ya." He smirked. His forest green eyes shone in the sunlight like an emerald.
He seemed so confident that he would be okay.
"Jason, no! I have a bad feeling you're not coming back!" I pleaded harshly, grabbing his wrist and asking him to stay.
"I'm just going to meet my birth mom, I'll be fine!" He assured me. "Here, hold onto my jacket for me." He took off his leather jacket and handed it to me.
I nodded with tears escaping the corners of my eyes. "I love you Jason…" I said as I watched him hop into the car and leave. Little did I know that would be the last time I ever saw him.
I kept that jacket with me at all times after that.
A few weeks went by without a word from Jason and the pit on my stomach only grew, the only thing keeping me sane was the scent of his cologne on his jacket that lingered still.
Finally, I mustered up the courage to go to Wayne Manor and ask if anyone's heard from Jason. It was then my heart shattered into pieces.
"Miss ______, I am so terribly sorry. I thought someone had already told you… Master Jason died last week." Alfred sat me down at the kitchen counter for tea.
My eyes widened and the porcelain teacup fell from my hand, shattering onto the tile floor. Tears flowed from my eyes like a cerulean waterfall. "No one told me!" I shouted, falling to my knees to clean up the mess with blurry eyes.
"Miss ______, I can get it." Alfred stopped me, only to realize I was bleeding from a deep cut from a glass shard on the top of my hand, a cut that would leave a scar for years to come.
"He can't be dead… he promised he would come back." I whispered, not even flinching from the cut.
"Here, allow me to tend to that." Alfred took out the first aid kit and cleaned the wound, giving it a few stitches.
"How…?" I asked, flinching from pain.
"... The Joker. Master Bruce didn't make it in time." He replied, the sorrow evident in his tone.
I nodded and thanked him for the help and the tea.
"Send a car to take her home." I heard Bruce from the doorway.
"Right away, Master Bruce." Alfred excused himself.
"His funeral is this Saturday if you'd like to come." Bruce turned away from me.
"I'll be there. Time?"
"Noon."
"See you then."
When the funeral finally took place, the reality of Jason's death set in. He wasn't coming back like he promised. I left a rose on his casket and bawled as I watched them lower the casket with my best friend and love of my life, into the dark, cold ground and with it, my heart.
"You promised." I whispered to myself, looking away from the scene. It was then I decided I wanted to be a nurse to help heal people.
Five years later, my dream of being a nurse was nearly achieved. I was two years away from graduating and I went to visit Jason every day on the way home from work. I still lived with my parents since I was a student at the local university, thanks to Bruce.
When I approached the door, that's when I saw it. A single rose on the bench outside the door along with a cryptic letter. 'Hang in there.' it said with a happy face at the end.
I was stumped but the notes and roses kept happening at least once a week and they soon came every day. At least, until the night that would change my life forever.

Right Words, Wrong Person and Time [Bale!Bruce Wayne]
Pairing: Christian Bale!Bruce Wayne x Reader
Request: I had this idea for a part of a dialogue with Bale!Batman and I was wondering if you could possibly involve it in an imagine or something similar to it and it’s basically Batman tells reader that he’s in love with her and reader replies in a shocked whisper, “you love me? But I don’t know you.” But she does know Bruce Wayne. Thank you in advance even if you decide not to write this. I think you’re super talented and unbelievably nice to people

Author’s Note: Some of this was inspired by a scene in ‘Batman Forver’ (the Val Kilmer one). It was also inspired by me on my migraine medication. It’s chronic migraine season. Pray for ya girl.

Bruce knew she wouldn’t remember too much, chalking it up to taking medication that made her drowsy. Still, in her state, he needed to check on her.
He climbed through the window of her apartment, wondering if she had woken up noticed that not only the window was open but that he wasn’t in bed with her.
Bruce insisted on staying the night, knowing how Y/N freaked out about how her migraine medicine made her feel. She’d passed out early enough for him to sneak out.
He gently closed the window behind him and sat on the edge of her bed. Even while she was asleep, she was still the cutest thing in the world.
They had started dating months prior, Bruce enjoying every moment of it. Most of the time he found himself bored on dates within the first ten minutes. With her, he was invested and enjoyed every moment except the one where they parted ways.
Without thinking, he reached out to stroke her cheek when her eyes open, a sharp gasp escaping her mouth. He almost jumped, her sudden movement scaring the shit out of him.
Then he realized, she had never met Batman.
“The fuck are you doing?” she asked, her face scrunched up. She was obviously still out of it from the medication, Bruce relieved at this.
“I received orders from a friend of yours to check on you,” he replied.
“O...k?” She pulled the covers closer to her. “If you’re here to knock the shit out of me, you’re too late. The pounding in my head is knocking me the fuck out.”
He chuckled, amazed that she was too drowsy to care that Batman was in her bedroom. “I love you.”
His face froze, mouth wide open. He didn’t mean for it to come out, but it was out. He had planned to tell her (as Bruce of course), but to say now was not the time was an understatement.
She lifted her head up, cocking it back. “You love me? But I don’t know you.”
He opened his mouth to respond but she cut him off. “Well I hate to disappoint you, Batsy, but I’m afraid there’s someone else.”
“Who?”
“You don’t know him.”
“What’s his name?”
“Bruce.”
“Do you love him?”
She smiled her eyes closing again. “Very much so.”
As she drifted off to sleep, Bruce smiled to himself.
____________________________________________________________
The next morning, Y/N woke up to find Bruce sleeping in her bed. He laid on his back, one arm behind the pillow under his head, the other lying underneath her.
She scoot toward him, gently rubbing his arm to wake him up. He jolted awake.
“You stayed the night?” she asked.
“Had to make sure my girl was ok,” he said, turning to face her. “I know that medicine is strong and I didn’t want you getting scared or panicked in the night.”
She playfully pouted, her fingers running through his hair. “You’re sweet, you know that?”
She then laid back down, cuddling on her head on his chest. She hummed. “I’ll tell you what, I had an extremely vivid dream last night.”
“What happened?”
She held out her pinky. “Promise not to laugh at me or judge me?”
He chuckled, amused by how much a pinky promise meant to her. Nevertheless, he happily obliged. “I promise.”
“I had dream Batman came in to this bedroom and told me he loved me.”
He made a face. “Oh? And what did you say?”
She shrugged. “That I didn’t know him...and that there was someone else.”
Bruce raised an eyebrow, turning his head to her. “There’s someone else? Who might that be?”
She smirked as she pulled the covers closer to her. “Oh, no one in particular.”
He threw an arm around her, pulling her even closer to him. He kissed the top of her head as she drifted back into sleep.
“I love you too,” he whispered to her.

Bumping into Bruce Wayne by accident at an event. You're embarrassed because you nearly fell over, but he caught you. You leave before he can even ask your name. He doesn't see you again for ages, but finds you accidentally as Batman one night. You bump into him just like you did at the event, but you don't know it's him. You apologise and try to flee from your embarrassment, but Batman asks for your name. You give it. Bruce uses it to find you and bump into you again. Hoping that Batman would be a good conversation starter for him to get to know you. He thinks you're fascinating, even if all you've done is bump into him.

Ohhhhh I’ve never even heard of Batman forever!! But he does look fiiiiiineee I know what my new hyperfixation is going to be, I’m so serious. It’s so hard to keep track of all the different variations of Batman 😭😭
A handy-dandy guide to all the (live-action, cinematic) Batmen
Tim Burton’s Batman
Batman (1989) - played by Micheal Keaton
Batman Returns (1992) - played by Michael Keaton
The originals; beloved and nostalgic for a lot of people. Took Batman from kinda goofy and kiddish in the media, put some darker tones on screen. A little basic thematically and cinematically by today’s standards and doesn’t follow now well-know parts of the character - batman kills in these movies for instance. Still iconic soundtrack by Prince.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Joel Schumacher’s (RIP🙏🏾) Batman
Batman Forever (1995) - played by Val Kilmer
Batman and Robin (1997) - played by George Clooney
While technically, in the same universe, as the Tim Burton movies, after Batman Returns, was criticized for being too dark for child audiences of the time, Joel Schumacher was bought in. And with a very gay 80s director, came Batman movies that were universally panned for being overblown, camp, and childish. They still get clowned and memed on today, but they’re cult classics now though thanks to some pretty popular, YouTube reviews that reveal a lot about their story and production history - Batman Forever is my favorite of all of them. Also, great theme song: Kiss from a Rose by Seal.
Sidenote: the only movies to feature Batgirl and Robin
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Christopher Nolan’s Batman
Batman Begins (2005) - played by Christian Bale
The Dark Knight (2008) - played by Christian Bale
The Dark Knight Rises (2012) - played by Christian Bale
The big ones. The Nolan Trilogy. Definitely the most popular. Brought the character back from its then camp and admonished reputation by making it a lot darker, a lot grittier and a lot more realistic. Being the first Batman to use digital cameras and having an Academy Award winning performance by the late great Heath Ledger as the Joker made these movies insanely loved. If you weren’t there, I can’t even explain to you how big they were.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Zack Snyder’s Batman (aka DCEU)
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), Suicide Squad (2016), Justice League (2017), Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021), The Flash (2023)
all played by Ben Affleck
Don’t think about it. I hate it. We’re moving on.
Matt Reeves’ Batman
The Batman (2022) - played by Robert Pattinson
The most recent, incredibly critically acclaimed, the first good Batman in a decade. My second favorite of all of them. Somehow, even darker, grittier and more realistic than the Nolan trilogy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
BONUS:
Kevin Conroy’s Batman
The actor responsible for voice acting Batman in basically every piece of animation from the 90s to about the 2010s. Beloved by all, may he rest in peace.
Tumblr media
Adam West’s Batman
The campy 60s show. It’s silly, but it still has the best Catwoman and the scene where Adam West has to play Bruce Wayne calling Batman on the phone is criminally good acting. Again, rest in peace.

“There you are, y/n, I was beginning to think you weren’t going to make it.”
You laughed at Bruce’s comment as you wrapped your arms around him for a quick hug. He smiled politely at your family behind you, who you turned around and introduced before Bruce stepped aside, allowing you and your family into his house. The party was already in full swing, with Christmas lights strung up around every possible surface. There were glittery baubles hanging from every light, as well as a few candy canes that you and Barry had scattered over the tables. There was a large Christmas tree in the center of the room, glowing with lights and tinsel with a shining star perched at the top. The room was filled with the sounds of laughter and conversation, with upbeat Christmas carols playing faintly in the background.
You and the rest of the League had spent all week decorating Bruce’s place in preparation for the event. It was Barry’s idea to host a party, and naturally you all decided Bruce’s house was the best place to host it. Bruce had spent the whole time grumbling about how much work it would be to take all the stuff down afterwards, but you knew he was secretly enjoying himself. You had even caught Alfred humming Jingle Bells to himself while you and Clark helped with the food. Diana and Arthur had set up the tree, while Victor and Bruce set up the lights and music. Barry zipped around, making minor adjustments while darting into the kitchen every now and then to steal some food.
“y/n!” you heard a voice cheer out, and Barry suddenly appeared in front of you, a drink appearing in your hand with him. You laughed as you clinked your glass against his as he continued, “I’ve been waiting all night for you to arrive!”
“Nice to see you too.” you grinned. Turning to your family, you introduced, “Guys, this is Barry.”
“Ah, the speedster.” your father leaned forward to shake his hand, and you could see something in Barry’s face twitch -- he hated when people just defined him as ‘fast.’ Yet, he managed to keep his complaints in as he greeted the rest of your family. As they started getting into a conversation of their own, you found your eyes wandering around the room. You could see Arthur and Mera on the other side of the room, talking to Martha. Arthur had actually bothered to put on a suit instead of his usual getup, and Mera looked gorgeous in a shimmery blue dress. Alfred was by the Christmas tree, talking to Victor and his father, all three of them looking very animated in their conversation.
“Mother, that’s y/n!” a voice excitedly chimed, and you turned around to see Diana and Hippolyta emerging from another room, accompanied by Clark and Lois. Diana’s face seemed to light up upon seeing you, and she reached for her mother’s hand and pulled her towards you. Behind her, you could see Clark and Lois exchanging amused smiles at Diana’s enthusiasm.
“y/n, it is so nice to finally meet you.” Hippolyta stretched a hand out towards you, which you shook as you gave her a comforting smile. “Diana has told me so much about you.”
“Really? Well I hope it’s just good things.” you laughed, turning to Diana, who simply beamed at you. “You both look gorgeous, by the way.”
It was true -- Hippolyta wore a gold dress, her crown gleaming on her forehead. Diana looked even more stunning, in a long, red dress. Hippolyta smiled humbly at your comment as you could see Diana blush slightly, and you began to blush too.
Ever since she had approached you months ago to join the League, you had developed a huge crush on Diana. She trained you and helped you feel welcome into the group. You felt as you owed so much to her -- without her, you wouldn’t be here. You’d probably still be cooped up in your university dorm, hiding your powers from the rest of the world and never recognizing your true potential.
“Oh, would you look at that.” Martha’s voice suddenly rang out, and all heads turned to her as she pointed to a branch of mistletoe which had mysteriously been hung from the ceiling near the windows. Everyone smiled as they realised Lois and Clark were standing under it. Grinning at her son and future daughter-in-law, Martha chimed, “Well you two know what that means!”
Lois laughed as Clark leaned down to kiss her, and the everyone cheered and clapped as the couple pulled away, bashfully smiling at everyone. Bruce wandered in front of them, waving his hands to catch everyone’s attention as Lois leaned into Clark’s chest.
“I’d hate to interrupt,” Bruce said, taking a sip from his glass of wine. “But Alfred just put the last meal on the table, meaning it’s time to eat.”
He gestured towards the dining room, and everyone slowly made their way around the table, slowly returning to their previous conversations before Clark and Lois’ kiss. You saw Diana pull a chair back for her mother before sitting at the seat beside her, and you were about to wander off to find your family when Barry zipped to your side.
“Woah, y/n!” Barry grinned, pulling out the chair beside Diana. “This seat is free! Why don’t you sit here?”
“Uh-” you started, looking Diana as if waiting for her approval. She nodded eagerly, and you sat down beside her as Barry slid into the seat on your other side. He had a goofy grin on his face as he exchanged glances with the rest of the League, who all hid their smiles behind their hands or drinks.
You had only told Barry about your crush, simply because he had his suspicions and kept annoying you until you confessed. However, the rest of the League also suspected you had feelings for Diana that extended past friendship and admiration, and their suspicions were only being confirmed by your behaviour tonight. However, what was also obvious to them that you didn’t realise was that Diana reciprocated your feelings.
“This food looks delicious.” Diana gushed. “Did you make this, y/n?”
“I, um, I got help from… from…” you stammered, and Diana looked at you expectantly. You internally swore at yourself for getting so flustered around Diana, but you couldn’t help it.
“Alfred and I helped.” Clark jumped in, and you shot him a grateful smile. “But y/n made that amazing pie over that.”
“Well, as delicious as it looks, we should wait till after we finish our food to eat dessert.” Lois looped her arm through Clark’s, and everyone laughed. “Shall we?”
Everyone immediately dug in, passing around plates and bottles of wine. As everyone ate, Clark and Lois eagerly shared the plans for their wedding, which everyone was obviously invited to. The conversation somehow got sidetracked to Barry, who began to recount the story of how he had met Bruce for the first time.
“You know, dude, the more I think about it, the less thought out I think your plan was.” Barry turned to Bruce, who was sitting at the head of the table. “What if I wasn’t who I thought you were, and you just chucked your batarang into my face? You could’ve killed me!”
Everyone laughed as Bruce shrugged sheepishly, before Barry turned to nudge you. Wiggling his eyebrows, he asked, “y/n, I don’t think you ever told us about how you got looped into the group.”
“Ah,” you set down your fork, sneaking a glance at Diana. “I was walking back from classes when Diana approached me.”
“What was your first impression?” Barry asked, and you bit your lip.
“I thought she was-” you stopped yourself before you could finish your sentence, quickly swallowing your words with your wine as you picked up your glass. After you took a sip of your drink, you continued, “I-I thought she was talking to the wrong person.”
Instead of saying, I thought she was the most beautiful woman in the world.
“At least you didn’t try and refuse me like Victor.” Diana piped up, and everyone chuckled as all heads turned to Victor, who tossed his hands up in mock surrender.
“Alright, alright.” Victor laughed as Barry playfully booed him. “In my defense, I didn’t know who to trust. Who knew you guys would become like a second family?”
“Aww!” you brought your hands to your chest, touched by Victor’s statement as everyone shared similar reactions.
“I’m not usually one for sentiment,” Arthur declared as he stood, raising his glass. “But... to our second family.”
Everyone raised their glasses, beaming, as you all chorused, “To our second family.”
“The best Christmas gift, ever!” you added, and everyone repeated your words in agreement.
“Now seems like a good time to cut y/n’s pie that everyone’s so eager to try.” Martha clapped her hands together, and Alfred leaned over to hand her a knife before getting up to get some clean plates. Diana nudged you excitedly, and you both exchanged warm smiles and Martha handed out plates of pie to everyone. Diana took an eager bite, closing her eyes as she savored it.
“This really is delicious, y/n.” Diana complimented, and you blushed. “I didn’t know you had such a talent for baking.”
“Yeah,” Barry agreed, his crumbs spilling from his mouth as he continued to talk before finishing his sentence. “You should bake more often.”
“Dude, gross.” Victor joked, tossing a napkin at Barry. “Don’t talk with your mouth full.”
“What, like this?” Barry stuffed more pie into his mouth and continued to talk, and everyone rolled their eyes as Victor pretending to retch in disgust.
As everyone finished their pies, everyone slowly started to get up and help Alfred clean up, carrying plates into the kitchen or helping themselves to one last little bite of food. You and Diana had picked up the last plates and were heading into the kitchen when Barry stopped in front of the both of you, taking the plates of both your hands.
“Here, let me get that for the two of you.” Barry grabbed your set of plates before trying to reach for Diana’s who stepped back after seeing Barry struggle to balance the plates in his arms. “No seriously, let me help.”
“That’s very nice of you, Barry,” Diana chuckled. “But I can handle it.”
“But, uh, you guys have helped clean up so much!” Barry insisted, and your eyebrows furrowed, unsure of what his intentions were. “Why don’t the two of you, say, take a break. You could go chill by the windows -- the view is really nice.”
“The windows?” you spluttered as you and Diana both turned around to look, before you remembered that was where the mistletoe was hung. Diana didn’t seem to realise, who turned back to look at Barry, perplexed.
“I’m sure the view is very nice.” Diana replied. “I’ll go after I put these plates away.”
Diana stepped past Barry and moved into the kitchen, who groaned in frustration before chasing after her, but not after instructing you, “Stay right here, y/n.”
Rolling your eyes, you wandered off back to the living room, where everyone had gathered to admire the tree. You smiled to yourself as you adjusted one of the baubles, when Bruce suddenly came up behind you.
“Where’s Diana?” he asked, amused, and you turned to mock glare at him over your shoulder.
“Why would I know?” you asked, somewhat defensively, and Bruce shrugged vaguely.
“You don’t have to be afraid of your feelings, you know.” Bruce said quietly as he leaned towards you, and you blinked at him in surprise. “It’s clear that you’re in love with her, y/n, and she’s in love with you too.”
“She’s… Diana’s not…” you were about to protest, when you heard a loud whistle from the dining area. You and Bruce turned to look, where you saw an annoyed Barry standing behind Mera and Arthur, and new branch of mistletoe hanging above them. Diana stood beside Barry, happily clapping her hands together as Arthur looked around at the rest of the guests.
“You guys have weird traditions.” he said as everyone looked at him expectantly. He dramatically swung Mera into his arms before adding, “Not that I’m complaining.”
He pressed his lips against Mera’s who wrapped her arms around his neck and deepened the kiss. Bruce let out a low whistle as Barry zipped to your side.
“Where is all this mistletoe coming from?” you hissed, but Barry waved his hand, ignoring your question.
“I told you to stay put!” Barry replied. “I was expecting you to be outside the kitchen when Diana and I came out, not Arthur and Mera!”
“You can’t expect me to stay in one place all night.” you rolled your eyes. “I mean, come on-”
“y/n!” Diana walked over to you, and you could see a gleeful smile spread across Barry’s face as she approached you. “I helped myself to another slice of your pie while I was in the kitchen -- I couldn’t resist.”
“We should bake together one day,” you suggested, and Diana nodded. “Then you can make pie for yourself whenever you want!”
“You should start now!” Barry clapped his hands together, before pointing to the kitchen where Arthur and Mera just were. He pointed to the ceiling as he added, “Just walk right over there. You know, just straight ahead. Be sure to check out the ceiling as you walk past. Oh! That’s so cool, that plant hanging there.”
“I was actually going to put this decoration back on the tree.” Diana opened her hand, revealing a small decoration in her palm, oblivious to what Barry was trying to suggest. “I found it under the table. It must’ve rolled there during the night.”
“Oh, for crying out loud!” Barry groaned, before zipping away. The next thing you knew, he standing on top of a chair between you and Diana, and the both of you looked up to see him carrying a fistful of mistletoe branches above your heads.
“Looks like we got another couple under the mistletoe!” Victor hollered, getting everyone’s attention, and you blushed as everyone gathered around. Diana didn’t seem fazed at all, instead simply smiling at you.
“If you don’t feel comfortable, y/n, you don’t have to.” Diana gently reached for your hand, and your eyes widened. She stepped closer to you, and your breaths seemed to get shakier.
“I-I do want to.” you nodded, and Diana brought her other hand up to your face. She finally leaned down, closing the distance between the two of you as she pressed her lips against yours. You both closed your eyes as you ran your hands through her hair, and she caressed your face with both hands as she deepened the kiss. The both of you didn’t realise the whole room had erupted into ecstatic cheers until you had pulled away, laughing nervously as you gazed into each other's eyes.
“Finally!” Barry whooped, who got off the chair to give Victor a triumphant high-five. Bruce, Clark and Lois all exchanged knowing smiles as Arthur pumped his fist into the air. Everyone had been waiting for you and Diana to finally admit your feelings for each other, and now that it had finally happened, it felt like a cause for celebration.
“Well?” Mera asked you as she reached out to squeeze your arm, winking at Diana. “How was it?”
“It was…” you still felt breathless, before you finally composed yourself. “The best Christmas gift, ever.”
“Hey!” Barry laughed, playfully punching your shoulder. “I thought your second family as the best Christmas gift.”
You and Diana both laughed as the both of you reached for each other’s hands, intertwining your fingers as she gently pulled you closer to her.
“Both,” you nodded, beaming at Diana before turning to the rest of your friends. “I’m so grateful to have both.”

Characters versus Icons
There’s a post-mortem air about DCEU after Justice League, and one that puts me in a reflective mind about the problems of DC’s movies in general, that in turn led me to look at broader problems of superhero movies. And along the way I got an idea for a meta series. One which I might tackle later, but which I can outline here. E. M. Forster in his book Aspects of the Novel described Flat and Round Characters, i.e. characters who are 2-Dimensional (i.e. they do not change and are static in development) and characters who are 3-Dimensional (are capable of change, in ways that surprise readers).
Superhero characters in comics are rarely 3-Dimensional. Most are One-Dimensional, especially in the quote-unquote classic golden age era. Stan Lee and his Marvel revolution introduced what Alan Moore called “2 Dimensional characters” or as he put it characters who do things because they have a bad leg and so on. Actual three-dimensional characters are almost never to be found in comics. But of course what happens in the comics is not true for movies. After all in the movies, we have the promise of a deeper, more mature, and more internal take on characters, and in fact we see the same problem recur.
For instance, Christopher Reeve’s Superman is a wonderful incarnation but he’s not really a character with real depth. And indeed there are very few stories that allow Superman to truly have that depth, and about the only version of Superman that comes close to being a rounded character is the one from the DCAU. In Tim Burton’s Batman movies, only Selina Kyle played by the great Michelle Pfeiffer is a convincing believable character but I wouldn’t say she is terribly deep, she is tragic, mysterious, eccentric and unforgettable. Christopher Nolan’s Batman films have their fans, and Heath Ledger’s Joker is an amazing bit of showmanship, but I wouldn’t say any of its characters are deep or interesting. In many respects, they are more shallow than the Tim Burton takes on the characters, and arguably Val Kilmer’s Batman in Forever had a Bruce Wayne who was more convincing and believable as a romantic figure who could trade his life to settle down with a nice girl as opposed to Christian Bale. And in either case, the DCAU Batman by Kevin Conroy, or even the Arkham Batman by Kevin Conroy is more convincing and three-dimensional.
Amazing as this is to say, but Ben Affleck’s Batman is the only cinematic take on Batman, or arguably a superhero icon, that really works as both characterization and performance. Most Batman actors can work the Bruce Wayne part or they can do the Batman part, but Affleck pulls off both. He is the one guy you can watch onscreen and totally buy that he’s the man behind the mask, and that he’d be Batman and dedicate himself. He works...regardless of whether the movie he is in or the writing of said movies work or not. Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman is likewise a wondrous incarnation in the Reeve mould, but she likewise doesn’t yet have deeper shades, though Justice League provides interesting material for her. As for Henry Cavill...well what can one say about the CGI-Mustache. In the case of Marvel: None of the Spider-Man (Tobey, Andrew, Tom) are three-dimensional figures regardless of the writing, tone, and brand marketing. The X-Men Movies fare better, especially Magneto and Wolverine, but the characterization is still a mix of soap-opera and team drama and has very little depth beyond that. And in the case of Wolverine, LOGAN above all. Robert Downey Jr.’s IRON MAN comes close, especially in IRON MAN 3 by Shane Black, but the MCU Shared Universe needs him to constantly revert back to type (i.e. asshole inventor who creates villains). Steve Rogers/Captain America is likewise a great incarnation but not a real character. And the same “bad leg” motivation and spectacle hovers over Marvel.
The proposed series I am envisioning will likely profile three characters: Superman, Batman, and Wolverine and examine their characterizations, their representations across media, and contrast that with the comics. It’s not going to be comprehensive or anything, but it will be something to consider. I am choosing Superman, Batman, and Wolverine because individually each of them are in more movies than other superhero characters -- Superman has 8, Batman has 9, Wolverine has 9, and unusually so is the only one played by the same actor as opposed to three Supermen (Reeves, Routh, Cavill) and multiple Batmen (6, as many as James Bond actors).

This Bruce Wayne
Tumblr media
Val! Bruce Wayne x Reader
Gender neutral reader
Requested by @potashiuhm
♡♡♡
Living in Gotham, you were used to all sorts of characters. Gotham was full of interesting and unusual people. Gotham was known for it.
Gotham was also known for Wayne Enterprises. Bruce Wayne is the richest man in the city. Everyone knows who he is, so when he walks into the room, all attention is on him.
Like now, as you stand to the side at one of his company’s galas, he has arrived and without introduction to anyone people gather to greet him. You watch from the other side of the room as he smiles at people and shakes their hands.
You’re here to write an article about his company, but you would rather be writing about the things happening in Gotham that some people seem to forget. The people who live here, but are struggling, all the while Brue Wayne is throwing a huge party for his company wearing a suit that probably costs more than your apartment.
Any story would be more appealing to you than Bruce Wayne.
You turn back to the gathering crowds in the room and ignore him. You had no reason to actually talk to him, just to report on his party. You don’t quite understand why there was a need for an article, other than just to make him look good to people. You roll your eyes at the thought.
Turning your back in his direction, you go to get yourself another drink and perhaps take a peek at the food being served. Maybe you can make a comment about that in the article.
Standing over the table filled with lots of wonderful looking treats, you think about what you’re actually going to say in your article. You have to pretend to actually like the man for it to be convincing. Your boss knew about your disdain for the man, but at the same time would remind you that you don’t actually know Bruce Wayne. You would just reply with ‘I don’t have to know him to not like him,’ and then just walk away.
The billionaire just caused you to have such a burning rage for him, even though he hadn’t actually done anything to spark this hatred. He just... existed.
Lost in your thoughts, you hadn’t noticed the very man you were thinking about approaching you.
Bruce Wayne knows you. He reads your articles often. Mostly, they are about him. You have a way with words that certainly captivate your audience, and for that he finds your articles fascinating. However, within your words he finds some... resentment. Though you try to disguise it, he can’t help thinking you don’t like him for some reason. Your words come off as strained to him sometimes.
So, seeing you here, he had to approach you.
A tap to your shoulder has you turning around and coming face to face with Bruce Wayne. Shock immediately sets in. During all these parties you’ve ever come to in order to write an article, you have never come face to face with Wayne ever.
This was a new development; one you can’t say you were too pleased about.
“Mr Wayne,” you say, finding your voice.
He smiles. It’s polite and his eyes seem to light up slightly. This smile was genuine, and you began to wonder where this was going.
“An honour to have you here,” he says.
You look around you briefly, wondering if he was actually talking to you or not.
“Me? Shouldn’t people be telling you that it’s an honour to meet you?”
Bruce laughs. You grow all the more confused.
“I suppose I do hear that often enough. Still, it’s a pleasure to finally meet you,” he says, holding out his hand.
You glance at it before reaching for it.
“You know who I am?” You ask him.
His smile seems all the more cheerful. “I do.”
You lower your hand after shaking his and stand awkwardly in front of him. He doesn’t seem to mind though.
“I read your articles,” he admits.
“Oh. I see.”
“Fascinating work,” he says.
“You think it’s fascinating? My works are mostly about you, why would that fascinate you? I’m pretty sure you’re aware about what happens at your events.”
He chuckles. You have a bite to you, and he likes that.
“Almost aware of everything. This is the first time I’ve actually taken notice of you being at one at these.”
You grin. “I prefer it when you don’t know I’m here.”
Bruce laughs again.
“You don’t like me very much, do you?”
“What gave it away?” You ask, dropping your smile. You might as well be honest with him since he seems to know already.
“Your words. Though you say such wonderful things about me and my company, I can’t help picking up your spite for me. Have I done something to offend you?” He asks.
You stare at him.
The way he is looking at you seems a little... sorrowful. He seems bothered by your lack of interest in him.
“I... uh... Well, I...” You can’t seem to think of what to say. It’s only then you perhaps realise what it is you hate about him. “It’s not exactly your fault...”
“I don’t understand,” he says.
You look around you. People are looking.
“Forget it. It was.... nice meeting you. I’ll be on my way now. I have all I need.”
You go to walk past him, but he reaches out, lightly brushing his hand with yours before pulling it back again. You stop as you glance at him, seeing his eyes shift to the floor before looking back up at you again. He hides his hands behind his back as if to stop himself from reaching out again.
“Don’t go,” he says.
You glance around you again. People are still looking.
“I have to, I’m sorry.”
You bow out, leaving as quickly as possible. Bruce wants to go after you and pick up where you left off, but his attention is soon stolen away by some other guests. However, as they talk to him, he can’t help but look up at the doors you just disappeared through.
A few days later you’re sitting at your desk. You had written the article from the gala that night and it had been published yesterday. You were currently gathering information for your next one. As you were scrolling through the web, your mail for the day gets dropped off at your desk. You stop your scrolling to pick it up and go through it.
The first couple envelopes were some potential story leads for your next one, which you would have to run by your boss. Though you know he’ll say know because he just wants to write about Wayne.
The last one was different. You stare at the envelope. Your name was written in neat penmanship on the front. You flip it over and open it, taking out the note inside. The writing on it was the same neat handwriting from the envelope, and you just knew who it was from.
The note was an invitation to Wayne manor.
You scrunch it up and toss it into the waste basket by your foot. You were not going to walk into that.
As you throw the note out, your boss walks by.
“What is that?”
“Nothing, just rubbish,” you say, turning back to your computer.
Your boss doesn’t believe you and bends down to fetch it out of the basket. You groan as they open it and read it.
“An invitation to Wayne manor? And you’re throwing it out?”
“Yes.”
“Go.”
You look up at your boss.
“What? No! I already attend his parties for you, I am not going to his house.”
“You are. We’ll need another story to tell, so why not tell one from inside his home. Give his fans and admirers something new to think about,” your boss says.
“No.”
“I’m not asking. I’m telling you.”
You glare at them. They glare back at you.
“Bruce Wayne has invited you to his home. It has your name on it and everything. You will go to his house. You will get another story. You will do it because I am telling you to do it.”
You sit back in your chair in defeat.
“Fine.”
Your boss smiles at you and leaves the note on your desk. You glare at it.
Damn him.
As the evening rolls in, you find yourself outside of his home. You’re buzzed through the gates and told to wait by the door. You sigh as you look around. The door opens and you turn to find yourself with someone you don’t know.
“Oh, um, hello,” you say.
“Mr Wayne is this way,” the man says, gesturing for you to follow him. You step inside and wait for him to close the door before following him in to the house.
You gather this is probably Wayne’s butler, because of course he has a butler.
You’re led into a nice open room where Bruce is standing by a fireplace, waiting for you. He seems pleased to see you.
“Thank you, Alfred,” he says. The man beside you bows his head and leaves. “You came,” he smiles.
“You invited me...”
Bruce’s smile falls.
“You don’t want to be here,” he says.
“My boss told me to come, otherwise no, I wouldn’t be here.”
Bruce gestures to the sofa in front of him. You sigh softly and sit down, looking around the room a little. It seems nice in here, though a little cold. You get the feeling he doesn’t spend much time in here.
“Why don’t you like me?” He asks.
“Is that why you invited me here?” You ask in return, turning to him.
“No... well, actually, yes.”
“You invited me to your home because you’re so bothered about one person not liking you?” You clarify.
“Not just one person. You.”
“This is a waste of time. I’ll write something lovely about your home, but I think I’m done here,” you get up ready to leave, but Bruce steps forward. His hand rises from his side, but he lowers it again. He’s restraining himself from stopping you.
“Please don’t leave again,” he pleads.
“What is it with you?” You ask him.
“I want to know why you don’t like me so much. I’ve never been bothered by this before, but now I’ve met you; I want to know.” He knits his eyebrows together and his lips pull into a frown.
You can’t help thinking he would look far more handsome with his smile.
“It’s not you. It’s the fact I have to write about you,” you say, sighing softly.
“I don’t understand,” he says.
“Look, I don’t have anything against you. I just didn’t want my career to be just writing everything about you and your company, and your galas, and the girls you take home. So many things happen in Gotham, but no one knows about them because all Gotham wants to hear about is who Batman is chasing away at night, and what Bruce Wayne is up to.
“I’m sure you are lovely underneath that public appearance, and I’m sure Batman is a swell guy, but I wanted to be a reporter when I was little. I wanted to report on the little things and make them more important than they are now. People forget half of Gotham struggles to pay their bills and feed their families. I could be making a difference in the world, but my boss sends me off to your parties only to get an article about the exact same stuff I saw last time.”
Bruce stands there listening to you.
“I don’t hate you. I hate that I have to write about you every single week while people struggle to live,” you confess.
Bruce bows his head down in silent thought. You watch him quietly, wondering what’s going on in that mind of his.
“I’m sorry,” he whispers.
“Sorry? For what?”
“For your boss thinking I’m more important than the people of Gotham. Perhaps I can help in some way.”
You shake your head.
“You don’t have to. Thank you for inviting me here, but I’ve got all I need now.”
Bruce steps forward again.
“Please stop trying to leave,” he smiles softly. “I would very much like to help you.”
“How?”
Bruce smiles at you.
A week later and you’re awaiting the responses from your article. Bruce and you had sat down and come up with a plan. Bruce threw a charity gala to raise funds for the poorer side of Gotham. You felt like he was just doing this because he wanted you to stay longer, but two days after that chat, Bruce threw the event and went off without a hitch. You attended as his guest of honour and spoke to some of his acquaintances.
Not only did he put in a large donation himself, but he raised quite a bit of money from his guests. At the end of the night, he went with you in person to donate the money. A day later you heard back from the charity thanking you for what you did. They were going to put those funds toward helping people.
You wrote all about it.
The responses were overwhelming. You had written about Bruce in a different light to your usual articles and people loved it. Your boss was over the moon as they patted you on the back and celebrated with the office.
As you were leaving work, you saw a sleek black car waiting outside of the building. Standing by it was Alfred. You walk over to it and watch him open the door for you. You climb inside and find Bruce smiling at you.
“I liked your article,” he grins.
You chuckle softly.
“You helped me write it.”
He smiles even brighter.
“Your boss just has you write about all the friends I have, and all the money I put into parties, all the girls I’m seen with. You don’t get to write about this Bruce Wayne, the one sitting here with you. I do what I can for Gotham, more than you know, but people don’t get a chance to see it often. You helped me.”
You look at him in silence.
His hand gently covers yours on the seat between you. Your eyes glance down at them and then back at him.
“Bruce....”
“Maybe you could write more about this Bruce,” he suggests.
“I would like that,” you smile.
He smiles softly too, his eyes bright. You like this Bruce.
“It’s a date then.”
Maybe there was still hope or Gotham after all.

Hi I’m new here and saw your post abt wanting asks !!! I must say I am veeeeery interested in this Kilmer!Bruce and would love to know more!!! xx
oh it’s just soft romantic morning fluff with bruce wayne.
my favorite version of him is val kilmer in batman forever because he’s so incredibly well acted, he’s handsome and it’s so well written. he‘s the first actor to realize that bruce wayne is the mask and batman is the person. (in contrast to superman; clark kent is the person, superman is the mask) so he’s the person that i think of when i write bruce wayne.
Tumblr media
(and also i thirst over him with @reveluving all the time)
